The plastic cover was located by evidence search teams in the dryer, inside of the sheets belonging to REDACTED bed." (At some point we had confirmation of a to-do list Suzanne left including MM1s bedding in hopes that the older girls would spend the night. Cannot remember the source.)
May 20, 2020 – Spy Pen found. "The pen was located in a cloth bin amongst women’s bras. The cloth bin and pen were inside the walk-in closet in the master bedroom, located on the ground level of the residence. Detective Hysjulien located, with the pen, the controller and headphones for playback and a USB cable."

My Step Dad purposefully ruined my $900 prom dress by washing it! Is there anything I can do such as take legal?

’ve never posted on here, but I really need advice because I’m so distraught and have no clue what I should do I’m only 17 and don’t know if there’s any legal action I can take. So for a little background I live with my bio mom and her husband since my dad and mom separated and were never married. I originally lived with my dad since I was 2 he won custody during the custody battle. However he later lost custody of me after having a bad work accident that made him paralysed and he wouldn’t be able to take care of me but I still see him every weekend and the whole summer. I moved in with my mom and her husband and their two sons ,1 stepbrother and 1 half brother, when I was 10. And ever since then my stepdad basically directly and indirectly says that I’ve disrupted their lives by coming back into my mother’s life, because I’m an extra person they have to take care of.
I’ve been working since I was in 10th grade and saving up for my senior yeacollege since last year with the money from my job since my mom and her husband let me know that only my mom would only help me with the basics such as my graduation cap and gown, senior dues, and senior class photo. Anything else I would have to pay for myself such as prom.
I get paid about $400 every two weeks from my job which Ive been saving in full, and then making extra money doing nails about $100 a week plus tip which I use as my spending money. Since it’s my senior and last year of high school I’ve been wanting to go all out for prom so I set a $800 budget for my prom dress. My prom is in April and I wanted to get my prom dress early since most of the actual cute ones sell out quick. So I went prom dress shopping in December and found a beautiful dress that’s costed $890. It’s dark green with a long train with rhinestone imbedded into it with glitter in the dress.
When I first showed my mom and stepdad the dress they asked how much it was, which I told them the amount and my mom said that she wouldn’t be paying for a dress that expensive which I replied it’s okay because I have more than enough money saved up to buy it, and I’ll still have a lot of money left over (23k to be exact but only my mom knows that) mom said I could get the dress and that it was very pretty, however my stepdad said that it’s irresponsible and a waste of money and I should use it for better things like helping out the family and paying some of the bills. And get a dress cheaper that’s max $300. Mind you both his son’s own PS5 and multiple $200+ shoes.
Long story short my mom disagreed with him and I ended up getting the dress in the end and she even put $150 toward it.
However ever since then he constantly brings up that I help pay for things around the house since I have so much money to throw away but my mom always shuts it down saying that I work hard for my money to save it and I already help about with paying the Netflix, Amazon prime, and Hulu bills while my step brother (18) don’t pay anything.
Anyway last Saturday we got into a really big disagreement because my stepdad suggested I should help my step brother pay for his prom to which I responded with no. He later called me selfish and said that it’s not fair that I get an expensive outfit while he doesn’t. And I guess I said with in a snarky way I responded with that’s not my child or my problem. He later tried to complain to my mom and she said that I was right and that if anything he should pay for his own prom.
Well today when I woke up from a nap I noticed my prom dress was missing from my closet since it’s in the very front of my closet and looked around for it. I then asked my stepdad if he has seen it since my mother was at work. And he said he had, and in fact he was washing it, while giving me a condescending smile. I immediately ran downstairs and saw my dress being washed on the heavy duty cycle I immediately cancel it and it was ruined. Majority of my rhinestones came out and the glitter was washed out the whole dress had been mangled.
I took one look at it and then threw it a trash bag and left for my friends house with the dress. I texted my mom and sent her pictures but I’m currently at my friends house and laying on her bed. My friends parent hanged it outside to allow it to air dry so my stepdad can’t put the blame on them if the dried it in the dryer. What makes me know he did to spite me because he never washes clothes, cooks or anything since “he’s the man of the house so he shouldn’t have to”, so there was no viable reason he could have for washing it, even if it needed washing.
Is there anything I can do? I know neither of them can replace being they are tough financial situation? I’ll update you guys when mom gets home. So far my stepdad has called 2x but I haven’t answered him. And my mom’s at work and can’t receive calls.

Edit 1:I don't know how to add updates so imma just add an edit but my mom and me just got off the phone and she's pissed and otw home. She's currently otw home so me and my friend and her dad are otw to my house and my mom said she was gonna call the cops as soon as she get off the phone so they may be there by the time I get there. We've taken pictures and the uncle (my mom brother) will be over there by 8 bc I contacted him while at work. I've listened to all your suggestions about withdrawing my money out of my account so I thinking and I talked to my dad about that as well and told me I can stay with him
Edit/Update 2:When I got home my friend stayed in the car while her dad walked me in, and my step dad was already gone. However police were at the house. As of now police said they can’t really arrest him because it’s not like he broke the law of stealing (I don’t know how to explain it basically this theft isn’t breaking the law bc he washed it and didn’t keep it) they suggested I can get a confession and get him to pay or take him to small claims court. Also the dress is non refundable if damaged so I can’t return it or anything. While explaining to my mom what happened I kinda fumbled my words and started crying and she hugged me as I cried. And she said that he’s gonna pay for this, this financial issue has actually been a on going disagreement and I think he just pulled the last straw bc she is PISSED. Also I talked to my uncle and he’s actually off work and over his way over here.
Him and my stepdad apparently have a rough history since my dad has had a smart mouth towards him in the past. While explaining to my uncle what happened he said that it would be alright and if anything he’ll buy back the dress before it sells out, so I’ll have my dress by prom but he does expect my step dad to pay me back one way or another so I’m basically probably gonna get my dress for free. Maybe that’s a little win. I’ll update more probably later tonight. But things seem to be good.
Edit: Also to clear up some confusion I pay the streaming service bills bc I really want to watch the shows on those services and my mom works hard but doesn’t make enough to have those services on top so I’ve offer to pay them so we could have them. She not a horrible “I’ll pick my husband over you” mother and she always defend me and he’s never pulled a stunt like this just tries to convince her to control my money and savings. And she’s never spent my saving either. I feel like thats why they always clash because he has a mindset of we have all these financial troubles and your daughter could solve them with her savings and you have access to them.
Edit/Update 4: Okay so my uncle came over and he and my mom had a little argument bc he blamed her for enabling my stepdads behaviour by not leaving him and thats why he felt comfortable to do what he did. And she argued back saying she always defended me against him and has never taken any of my money (which is true). We all talked about it a bit and she revealed that last night they had actually had a argument about paying off a car payment because she made a comment about how all these bills are taking a toll on her, and he made a comment about how it wouldn’t be that much of a toll if she used my savings and didn’t allow me to spend it on foolishness and she got mad and defensive bc he keeps bringing it up.
He also said that the $900 I spent could’ve payed off that car payment for the next 2 months. Btw he only know about my savings because he know how’s much I get paid and that I’ve been saving all of it. So we think that’s what triggered him to throw my dress in the washer.
My mom and stepdad has also been texting back and fourth and he admitted that he washed it to teach me a lesson that I shouldn’t spend that much money on a dress that can be destroyed that easily but he put the setting on heavy duty so he obviously intended to destroy it. My uncle has also offered to replace the dress so I don’t need to worry about not getting to wear my special dress. We called the boutique and explained it to them and they say they can order another dress although it won’t be there until Feb 23 which fine tbh.
My mother sent my step dad a long threatening message basically calling him out shes kinda heated rn so imma try and ask for a screenshot later. Her and my father also spoke and decided that it’d be best that I get my own bank account so that my step dad can’t use the excuse that she has access to my account so that’s also great. My mom and I had a talk about what gonna happen after this and she said shes not sure as of just yet bc it’s all a little too much for her bc she seriously contemplating leaving him, but i guess she don’t wanna actively discuss that right now. Also my stepdad is currently at a friends house. I’ll continue to update possibly may get one tomorrow. My friends parent are gonna keep the dress over their house and imma pick it up tomorrow to have as proof.

Edit/Update 5: My uncle has transferred me $1000 for my prom dress and I’m actually planning on using the money for replace the dress and buy new shoes. He’s very well off, which was one reason I contacted him in the first place.
So I plan on just calling the boutique and seeing if they can reorder it and I’ll just pick it up from there sometime in February. However my step-dad still must pay in some form, or at least we are trying to get him to. My uncle has called my other uncles and aunts (with my permission) to basically vent about the situation.
So majority of my mom side who all live in GA knows about what happened. I woke up to a lot of text about the situation given sympathy, as well as money to have for prom which have totalled to about $300. So this is great. My mom has also contacted my step-in-laws who then spread the news with pictures and I guess most of them are shocked as well other than his mother his is buying his claim that it’s just a dress and it was a accident despite evidence. I got a call from my step-dad sister sympathising for me.
And through conversations with I learned that my step-dad has also been asking a lot of his family to help him with his finances. Because for some reason the dude has bought so many things to pay off he can’t keep up with them.
My mom called my step-dad for answers which we recorded. And he’s basically trying to blame her bc if she didn’t piss him off last night then he wouldn’t have done it. And that he was trying to show me why I shouldn’t be irresponsible with money bc I guess he planned to lecture afterwards.
Also my mom has broken up with him bc he blamed her for caring more about me than him, which is weird. Which ensured in a argument with her saying “you think i care about her more than you, your gonna see just how much I do”
Also they’ve been on a rocky relationship since he can’t manage money and this was her breaking point.

Just saw this update!! Now that you have the text, please show the police as confession as destruction of property and/or take him to court to pay for it. It’s not fair to your uncle. Once you get your step dad to pay up, you can pay your uncle back. Girl Good luck!

What your step-dad did is called malicious mischief and is a crime. With the confessions and proof, there probably is a case. Just know that because of the monetary value, it's most likely just a misdemeanor charge. Regardless, you definitely have a small claims case against him. Sadly, by the sounds of his financial affairs, you'll be lucky if he ever pays, but it's still worth pursuing. Good luck!

Okay so a lot of bs has transpired. Firstly we’ve place an order for my dress, and they are shipping it now and it should be at the boutique by Feb 23 so all that is taken care of. My SD and mom are officially broken up and my mom said she doesn’t now if she’ll move on with divorce proceedings yet bc everything is still fresh and lawyer are expensive and she can’t afford it rn.
Also they have a prenup so they don’t share assent and the house is my mother dad house she inherited (she had a different dad than all her siblings and all her siblings share a dad).
So my step father showed back up with his brother after a while and my step father decided to do and buy me a new dress from Macy that looks similar to dress in color and length but it’s very tacky and ugly. And look nothing like the original.
He then tried to apologise and said it wasn’t his intention to ruin the dress. he said that he was simply gonna wash it and say “see this is why you don’t buy things like this” and then he would’ve bought me another dress…. But that’s make absolutely no sense.
Also my uncle came back to my house after I texted him my step dad came back (he was at the store) and they got into a big argument where basically my uncle demanded to know why he destroyed the dress
And my step dad said he not gonna walk up in his house demanding shit, and my uncle called him a bitch. And then my SD said to call him a bitch again which he did and they ended up fighting. (My SD lost) he threatened to call the cops but we reminded him that he swung first
After that my step dad went on a tirade and cussed us out and left and took the dress with him.
We are actually planning on taking y’all advice and taking him to small claims court given the evidence and the damage. And hopefully we win. Also my SD is staying at his parents house currently.
Lastly for all curious about my brothers they are 15 (half) and 18 (step) .The 15 was at his girlfriend house since Friday so he wasn’t home for any of the commotion but did reach out to me today, I love him so much. And the 18 year basically sided with his dad so that all there is to say.
Also those who suggested changing the streaming’s passwords I have change them. And me and my mom are gonna get me my own bank account later today. Thank you guys for all the support I’ll continue to update as thing come and our plans of action and the verdict and all

I've been working at Macy's for a week and am still getting use to everything. I logged onto MyInsite to check my schedule and they want me to 'Agree' or 'Disagree' to my times because I clocked out late. It's only by a few minutes, but I worked those few minutes and had to walk to the register so of course it's not going to be precise.
I also clocked in a few minutes late when my shift started and came back from break a few minutes late, but I'll eat that. I actually stay late when I'm suppose to get off at a scheduled time to help the team.
I know my manager will look out for me. Just trying to see which one I should choose.

Hey everyone, first post here. Today I have a revenge story that I wanted to share. Read if you are interested.
So basically me and one of my best friend, let's call him Carl, play on a Russian server, which we have the best ping (although we are not in or from Russia).
My two other local friends wanted to join us in a game zone to play together. Let's call them John, and Peter; Peter hates DayZ but John loves it, wo he insited to give one more try.
Me and Carl have a small shed base in that server with 2 cars and a lot of loot. We decided to start our car (80 people on that server at that time) and go and pick John and Peter and bring them to our base. We got guns and plate carriers for them and went for them.
We first picked John, then went for Peter. Peter was dealing with Zombies so we got there on time and killed the zombies and then shared the guns with Peter too. We then went to find some plastic explosives to keep in our base. We had no luck, and on one stop John's game bugged and he was stuck in the car while taking damage. We somehow manage to unstuck him and we got in the car. As it was too late for Carl and he wanted to log out, we decided go back to base then log out.
On the way back we encountered 3 separate cars with crazy drivers going fast next to the beach. I am assuming they were on a sort of a mission so they ignored us and we ignored them.
Night came while we were driving. Me and Carl had night vision so we put it on and started continue driving to the base.
On the way to the base, near Berezino we saw two dudes running and for some reason we all panicked and stopped the car. We got out and we shot at them, just because we panicked.
In middle of that John's game again glitched and he teleported under the ground and was swimming below us. There was no chance that he could come back to us, and there was no way that he could suicide. He wasn't lucky today. (All this time in this last update, this was the first time DayZ got glitched, and it was twice!) Unlucky John.
We decided to move on as three. On the way we again saw couple of people and this time we didn't panic and went our way without stopping as Carl wanted to log out.
We were few hundred meters away from our base suddenly Peter told us that a car is following us. The blue car was going faster than our car for some reason and he was talking in Russian.
We decided to do a sudden brake and turn, and get out to kill him if he stops, before we get any closer to the base.
When we stopped he tried to crash his car into us, but he crashed into a wall. We all thought he would have died so we delayed our actions and didn't get out in time.
Then, suddenly we saw he opened the door. It was a panic situation, and we tried to get out fast.
Unfortunately, he shot Carl, and me, while I shot him couple of times and I went unconscious. Peter, was able to take him down. I woke up, and we decided to take both cars to the base.
As we were sitting in separate cars, I heard a shot and Peter said I am dead. 2 seconds later I was shot in the head as well.
We lost our car and another car that we were happy that we got.
We all logged out. But then several hours later, I decided to join the server, to find our cars. John didn't enjoy that day, and Peter hated the game more as he says there is no point in this game.
After a while, I went to the crash site that this happened and didn't find our cars. I assumed there most be a base there. I suddenly saw a blue tent in an apartment in the close distance, I knew it most have been them. (There were about 20 people in the server at that time, and on the way to the crash site I found lots of gernades).
I went to the apartments and saw that their base was semi raided, some doors broken, but they had all the loot. 2 night vision helmets (Mine and Carl's) which mine was badly damage. My black M70 Thundra, and my silenced AK 47; but Carl's M4 was no where to be found.
I decided to take a revenge, and started dismantling all their walls from inside.
I wanted to take the loot to the base and I was checking the garages for car bases, and suddenly I found one! As it was near our base, I went and picked up more gerandes, and some claymore, and started raiding that garage base. Then I found a black sedan (the owner of the sedan killed Carl a day ago). I took the sedan and all the loot to our base.
But then I thought it is not enough for revenge. I started the car and went to the apartments to take every single thing that they got. I did! And also I put a lot of trip wires with gernades.
As soon as they go back to their base, they will see that they have nothing left, but of course after they die to the trip wires.

Radicalization is dangerous for anyone--look at all the friends and relatives posting on QAnonCasualties--but fame and fortune take it to another level. For one, JKR has a virtually unlimited cash flow. She could lay in bed all day and still be a multi-millionaire. No need to leave the house, get a job and interact with people outside the cult.
This also leaves her with way too much time on her hands. Instead of an eight-hour shift at a store or office, she has hours to scroll through Twitter, fight with strangers, call her lawyers, isolate herself, hang out with fellow cult members and go further down the rabbit hole.
Likewise, politicians, authors and other gender critical "celebrities" aren't going to befriend Twitter strangers with 20 followers, but when one of the world's most famous people jumps on board, they fawn all over her, boosting her ego and giving her increased political and cultural influence.
Most TERFs earn a following, even if it's just a few hundred people, but JKR has an incomprehensible number of admirers, bots, trolls and newbie GCs who worship the ground she walks on. Maybe it's tens of thousands, maybe it's even hundreds of thousands. Even the occasional celebrity, such as Macy Gray, joins in.
Having a huge following doesn't mean you're right (look at Trump, for example), but she's not just another online radical. She's the Queen Mother High Priestess of TERFdom, and that probably gives her a galaxy-sized ego. Good luck leaving a cult when THAT many people keep saying that you're not only right, but you'll go down in history as one of the greatest warriors that ever lived.
And she can't just delete her Twitter account and disappear, either. The second she changed her mind, you know they'd harass her, dox her, smear her in the media and call her a traitor. This includes a group that she considers close personal friends. I'm sure she tells herself otherwise, but on some level, she probably knows that they wouldn't say, "Aww, that's okay Jo, we can disagree on gender and still be friends! 💝✨ How's the new Strike novel going? 😊"
She had a decade of near-hero worship from 1997 to 2007. The "Dumbledore isn't gay in the books" controversy was the first time she received backlash from people she couldn't dismiss as religious nuts. For the next decade, people grew more critical as she had controversy after controversy, plus failed projects, such as Pottermore and the derided Fantastic Beasts series.
I honestly think she reached a point where she was desperate to make everyone love her again. And suddenly, she stumbled on this cult that showers members with praise, calls them goddesses and woman warriors, offers supposedly tight-knit friendships and poses as an anti-misogyny social movement. Finally, a way to become the beloved hero again. She probably anticipated backlash, but the slobbery adoration was worth it.
Of course, we've all seen how she spiraled out of control, so I don't need to rehash it. But she's still rich and well-connected, has the British media in her pocket, can sue anyone that falls under libel laws, has plenty of free time for radicalization and clings to famous GC figureheads and organizations that tell her she's a beautiful saint, an angel and the greatest lady who ever lived. She also actively builds influence by tweeting to millions of followers and donating huge sums to transphobic initiatives.
Your average Tumblr TERF has some level of influence, but here's what they DON'T have: gigantic royalty checks, no need to work, 14 million Twitter followers, political connections and praise from major news organizations. All these factors helped turn a friendly author into a monster.
I have no sympathy for her, but does she have ONE person looking out for her? Her increasingly deranged Twitter meltdowns suggest that she's on the verge of a full-on mental break, but her buddies just keep cheering her on. She's likely alienated anyone who would tell her to log off. Does her doctor husband ever say, "Hey, I think all this stress is bad for you," or is he just another cheerleader?
Whatever the case, I wouldn't be shocked if she ends up in the hospital for "exhaustion" with her GC pals sneaking in her phone and telling her, "No, keep tweeting! Ignore the haters! Ignore Warner Bros.! They're all working against you! You're going down in history as JK Rowling, the Royal Goddess and Ministress of Magic Who Saved Us All!"

A friend has informed me ‘27F’ my husband ‘31M’ has an active tinder profile. The location was accurate for where my husband has been including on holiday in my home town with me (where my friend saw the profile) and then back at home when he left. Photos on the profile were taken while we were together - approx 2 years ago. I asked him about it and he denied having the account. I found no app on his phone and couldn’t log on through his computer even with attempting to reset the password. However, in emails, he had paid for tinder gold a year ago and the payment came out of his bank. He is a gamer and asked a friend who ‘knows how to hack’ if he had been hacked and the friend said he was on a database where hackers had this phone number, Facebook (which tracking was turned on which apparently explains how they had his location) and his email. I had my 100% plan Chapter 13 today in South Florida and boy, was it a heck of a lot easier than I anticipated. I’m paying mortgage and car outside of the plan, so everything in the plan ($51k) is unsecured debt.
I logged in 30 minutes before my scheduled time and wow, was it a train wreck for people. One lady was filing for the 3rd time in a row and she said she actively opened and used a Macy’s credit card last year. The trustee said you do realize that’s absolutely not allowed? He just shook his head when she said well now she knows. Another guy was so nervous, he kept saying things like “I don’t know,” and “maybe,” so the lawyer had to recall his statements and go counsel him while the trustee moved on with other cases. The lady right before me was at a work function with lots of noise in the background, so the trustee was getting annoyed and made her move somewhere quieter. It amazes me that either these lawyers don’t prepare their clients well, or these people don’t take this whole process seriously.
Anyway, here I was nervous because even though the trustee said I wish you luck, thank you to each person before me, nothing was going smooth. My turn finally and seriously nothing to stress about. He swore me in, made me state my name, and everything was yes/no questions (did you read everything, are you aware your payment could go up, did you disclose all your assets, file taxes the last 4 years, any changes, etc.), except for when was last time I made a credit card payment, employer address, and why I filed. My lawyer advised me to say “reorganizing my debts to finally get out of debt” was a good answer, and I was literally done in less than 2-3 minutes. I got an email a few minutes after signing off from my lawyer saying I did great and the only thing for me to do now is pay my monthly payments and he takes care of the rest.
Anyone about to have their 341 meeting, just breathe, it’ll be ok. As long as you don’t have anything super complicated or suspicious with your bankruptcy, you’ll be good! My lawyer advised to be in a quiet place with a neutral background, no crazy outfit or jewelry, keep on mute/video off until you’re called, and answer truthfully. He sent me a list of what’s usually asked, and sure enough, those things were asked. Best of luck to everyone in their journey!

hello, i logged into my insite today and my schedule is completely empty. i tried logging in and out and refreshing but nothing is working. is this normal ?

I am a servestorage/cloud engineer for a small company that does MSP work. I also help handle our internal environment. Our environment would be considered hybrid. We have an on-prem exchange server for mgmt, all user mailboxes in Exchange Online, and Entra ID Connect. Everyone is on the latest version of Office Apps.
Since a little before february we started getting reports of issues with end users and trying to move an occurance in a reoccurring meeting. So for example.
-User A created a reoccurring meeting for every Friday of the Month and sends it to User B
-User B accepts this meeting without any issues -User B end up needing to reschedule one of the Friday's
-User A right clicks the meeting, edits the one occurance to the new desired date and time.
-User A then sends the updated meeting
-User B never gets the update invite
-On both User A and User B the meeting occurance then deletes off their calendars without any notification to either user

I am able to make this issue reoccur using my outlook and another users outlook so it appears to be affecting all users, with all reoccurring meetings. Regular meetings do not have this issue and can be rescheduled without any issues.
I have reviewed Exchange Online Audit logs, but the phanton cancelation is not recorded, but the updating of the occurnace is logged. I also tried to run audit logs from the security and compliance center but they returned the same results (as expected) found in the Exchange Online audit log. This happens on the mobile outlook app, OWA instance of outlook, and the outlook desktop client.
We opened a ticket with Microsoft in Februrary, and it has not been very fruitful. Originally support blamed outlook being installed on mobile devices...which that isn't acceptable. However, I did entertain the idea. I removed outlook from my phone and another users. Waiting awhile and the tried to reproduce the issue. I was able to reproduce the issue almost immediatley.
I am wonder if anyone has seen this issue before and might be able to provide some insite. Its deffintley an issue that is in the "strange" category in my books. I have looked online for additional answers but the issue we are faceing doesn't seem to line up with other issues that have been reported where delegate settings seemed to be the issue.
Any guidance is appreciated!

There were to do a preliminary charting of this system when the coolant leak forced them to land here, so they had very little to work with in the way of information. It was pure blind luck that the planet had a breathable atmosphere.
"Great, now what?" the question was followed by the clatter of falling containers.
"Natives."

The one word reply brought him to full attention. Without conscous thought he went from Dave, chemical engineer and captain of the Prarie Falcon, to Lieutenant Colonel (retired) David Yu of the USSF. Immediatly he stopped looking for the concentrates needed to mix up some new coolant. "How many are there? Do you see anything that could be a weapon?" Quickly he reached his locker, opening it with fast but not hurried motions only decades of military service can instill in a person.
"I count five, three of them have what might be rifles of some kind" Macie called out from Control.
He donned his Space Exploration Corps field jacket, the closest thing to a dress uniform on the ship, and attached a holstered 10mm pistol to his belt. "Get that new linguistics system up and running." He called back to the control section while attaching a comlink to his collar.
"Already done captain," she called back. He was already at the main hatch and didn't have time to respond.

Captain Yu stepped out of the ship to find the five small aliens, three of which had some kind of weapon pointed at his surveyor. They looked reptilian, bipedal but with tails long and stout enough to support their weight. Their skin (scales?) was varying shades of green. They were roughly a meter tall, give or take. Each one wore a long tunic of woven fabric, what could only be called a kilt over their legs and tails, and a belt of leather or synthetic material holding it all together. Various tools made of metal and plastic could be seen protruding from pockets on the tunics. The one in the front of the group, who appeared to be the leader or elder, also wore a vest made of something resembling leather.
The elder one was not armed. Instead he was looking at Emily and slowly letting out series of hisses and clicks while his 'hands' were both pointed straight down. When David stepped out of the ship, the leader stopped, and two of the armed aliens swung their weapons to track him.
"Hello." He said slowly. He kept his tone far calmer than he felt inside. "My name is David, this is Emily. We are humans, from Earth. We mean you no harm."
The alien at the front of the group started hissing and clicking again. This must be their language, he thought to himself. Sure enough, the linguistics system started providing translations of the most basic words.
"I am Se-kik of Hasatost, my sons Se-sen and Se-kir, my" the translation system stumbled over the word before recovering, "nephew As-kin, and friend of the family Za-dir." Se-kik paused, then continued "Who are you strange beings, and what are you for that matter?"
David relaxed internally, just a bit. The linguistics system was working better than he could have hoped. If they can communicate this might not be a bloodbath. "We are humans, from a planet we call Earth. I apologize for disturbing you. We were not aware there were people here."
One of the armed aliens, Se-Kir he thought, looked up sharply, "How smart are you, or mind readers, to know our speech so fast?"
"We're not, either one. We have a computer system that's helping us understand each other. The more you talk the better it'll be able to translate for us."
The elder one turned slightly to the others and made a waving motion with a hand. They lowered their weapons. "Well then, please allow me to welcome you to Engre. What brings the two of you, err.." He looked up, farther up, past the captain and scientist, "three of you to our humble world?"
"This" Marcus dropped the broken coolant line on the ground. "It's a cooling channel for our fusion reactor, umm, main power system."
The one called As-kin broke out in a series bellowing hisses that the translator identified as laughter. "You mean fancy high tech space aliens crashed here cause of a busted radiator hose?" the 'laughter' continued.
"Oi! landed not crashed." came over a ship's external speaker. "This bird will get us home no problem, you wait and see."
David replied to their querying looks. "Macie, our pilot. She's rather proud of bringing us down intact on reserve power. She should be too."
Za-dir, so far quiet through the whole exchange, spoke up softly. "How many of you giants are there in that ship?"
"Just the four of us." Even knowing nothing of these aliens' body language he could tell this one was nervous about something. "Why?"
"Are you San-sachi?" The other four aliens all backed up, hissing sharply that the translator could not identify. Their weapons partly raised up again.
"I don't even know what that means." David replied. "What is it?"
Se-kik was the first to regain his composure. "Blood it, if they were night hunters we'd be lunch already. Calm down now, you hear?"

The conversation carried on with the two peoples learning more and more about each other. Their world was Engre. They called thenselves Engrel, the plural form was Engreli. Their society was much like that of early twentieth century Earth, but their technology was closer to that of mid twenty-first. Marcus didn't stay long, excusing himself to continue the repairs. He went into the ship for the more advanced tools he needed to repair the conduit and the now forgotten concentrates to make new coolant. As he worked he could hear the other three humans and the five aliens start talking more casually, even joking on occassion. He was too tired and dirty to care.
Eventually, with the repaired conduit reinstalled and fresh coolant flowing through the system, Marcus replaced and sealed the maintenance hatch. He went back around to the main access to the ship as the aliens were packing up to leave.
Se-kik then asked,"you have some kind of toy in there to tell you if something is safe for you to eat or not?"
Emily answered, "Of course we do, I can show you how it works if you.." Se-kik stopped her.
"Good, get it ready. Now don't you dare take off before we have a nice sit down dinner. I'll get everybody out here with a nice fix of food, and make you meet the local leaders. That means you too, ya titan of a mechanic. I wanna pick your brain some on your space alien repair techniques."
Marcus looked down at his soaked outfit and bandaged hand, and sighed. "Sure man, but i need a shower first."

Is there a way to play the game if your internet connection is down? We had some problems in the last few days due to a storm and our internet was out for a couple of hours. I tried to play the game (offline ofc) but I couldn´t start it, because the EPIC Games-Thing insited on logging in beforehand.

Is there a workaround, so I can play even if my internet connection is off?

I was a seasonal employee and I've been logging in daily to check - I had another job which already sent me a W-2 so I want to file my taxes ASAP but don't see my Macy's W-2 yet. Thanks!

Logged into my Cap1 account today and apparently I have an offer to PC to Venture One. The thing is, I don't travel a lot and when I do I almost always drive, stay at a friend's house, etc.
In retrospect I really should have applied for the Savor One because I missed the bit about 3% at grocery stores. That would have been useful. However it seems that offers to PC to that card are rare.
Is there any advantage to the Venture One for my use? (I guess I'll treat this post as a card recommendation post to help you answer) Or should I just hang out where I'm at unless/until I get an offer to PC to Savor One?

My now ex "Brian" and I were happy. We dated for 3 years and lived together about 2 of them. We are old college friends and one night he romantically confessed he had always loved me and we started dating. He was sweet and doting, a gentle and kind partner, and we really wanted for nothing for almost a year and half, I would say.
I noticed he started drinking more somewhere after that. It started to get out of hand. I won't rehash everything again (it's in my past posts) but he slowly turned into this angry, manipulative, lying drunk. He lost his job before Thanksgiving but never told me until I realized while making his lunch for work (we alternate the duty) that his water bottle smelled of vodka.
We had an intervention [me, our mutual friend that I am currently crashing with "Macy" (F33), Brian's younger brother "Billy" (M29), his Aunt and mom-figure "Clara" (F50s), and Brian's absolute best friend from childhood "Regan"who also works in medicine and did most or the program research (F30s)] and I told him I am staying at Macy's for a month and all house bills are paid, fridge is stocked etc. Regan can talk to him about the various options of the programs she listed for him and Clara will pay for it. Billy will stay with him at our house to help him stay sober until he makes a choice. I told him if he didn't seek help in the month I am gone, I stay gone and we are done. It was one of the hardest moments of my life, seeing someone I care about so broken and depressed but I didn't budge.
I posted about it all, as I can't really talk about it to his family or our mutual friends and my best friend is going through her own stuff right now. What I forgot was I am logged on Reddit on my tablet too, which I left at home. Brian found it and flipped out. He called me saying I was trying to ruin him so he will have depend on me and that blasting him on the internet is doxxing? He was screaming and beligerant and I said for him to calm down, to not yell at me, and to not disrespect me by calling me names but he kept going.
So I just said "Thats it, Brian, I can't do this anymore." and broke up with him. He started sobbing and apologizing saying he was stressed out and usually he would have a drink but he promised me he wouldn't and he is trying to keep to that. I have never felt like a larger piece of human garbage in my life but I have barely gotten any sleep, I can't eat without crying, and I'm five kinds of f***ed up over all of this. I just can't anymore.
Brian showed up at Macy's door banging on it and ringing the doorbell calling for me to come and speak to him. That he isn't going to do anything stupid. That Billy is with him. That he just wants to talk. He's asking for another chance.
I just can't give that to him right now. Or not this person who looks and sounds like him. He is not the loving and sweet man I knew but he went on about me abandoning him when he needs him and how people don't throw people away when they struggle and I have been crying my eyes out feeling like the worst human to ever exist.
Eventually Macy had enough and called Billy to tell him that if Brian doesn't leave her property and go home she will call the police. They left but I can't pull myself off her couch. I'm just empty and sad.
I want old Brian back, I want my old life back, I want that happiness back. But I think it's really gone for good.
