So, I have the dubious honor of having owned both the Luba 2 5000 and the Husqvarna 450X EPOS at the same time for the same yard. I also have the Husqvarna 315X wired version as well. But in this post I want to provide a comprehensive comparison between the Husq 450X EPOS and the Luba 2 5000. There are already tons of vendor marketing materials, YouTubers with their reviews, etc. My goal is to provide a real comprehensive review, with no fanboyism, no hidden agenda, just as a homeowner who wants something that works reliably and that lasts.
In this post my goal is also to provide new information that I was not able to find anywhere when I was comparing these two prior to purchase, if you have any questions that you want answered that I did not cover here just let me know.
MY YARD
My yard is a pretty simple Florida rectangular acre with about 5 big oak trees and plenty more overhanging my yard from my neighbors' yards. I have about 1/2 acre in the back and about 0.30 acres in the front. I use the Husq 315X to mow the front and decided to buy a wireless version to mow the back. I also have a thin strip outside of the front fence that I mow on occasion after opening the gates and fences.
LUBA2 5000 vs HUSQ 450X EPOS
Below I have arranged my findings by categories, with the most surprising being first.

• RTK / Wireless Performance (Winner - Luba) - This was without a doubt the biggest surprise for me. I thought I had a simple yard after setting up the Luba. I put the RTK antenna in the attic, set up the base station, mapped out the yard and was done. The Husq EPOS on the other hand performed 10x worse than the Luba. Same house, same attic, but the EPOS system would not lock onto the satellites. After an hour of fiddling, I moved the RTK antenna out of the attic and mounted it on a pole in my yard. The performance is still terrible, while mapping out my back yard even within 50' of the RTK station, the signal only shows 73%, and I spent hours having to drive the Husq 450X to the middle of the yard to get a signal then rushing back to the last waypoint to try to finish mapping. It took about 4hrs to map 0.5 acres. That was just the beginning of my problems though. It now likes to sit for up to an hour in one spot for some reason even though the app says it has a good EPOS signal. No idea if this is a hardware problem or a software problem but hopefully it can be fixed via software update. If this keeps up, I may have to set more no go areas and mow those areas with my lawn mower.....not a good thing.
• RTK App Feeback (Winner Luba) - The Luba 2 is great about showing you all of the satellite information; co-viewing, RTK satellites, and Luba 2 satellites. The 450X is the opposite, all you get to see is if EPOS is working or not with no way to troubleshoot it except to keep driving the mower around until it is fixed.
• Hardware Build Quality (Winner Luba) - The Luba 2 feels much sturdier and better built than the 450X. Also, the Luba 2 includes an RTK mounting pole whereas the 450X does not. The 450X EPOS is an older design and it does not appear that Husqvarna updated anything other than add an RTK module to their existing product line while doubling the price.
• App Useability (Winner - 450X) - The Husq mower app while not perfect is much better than the Lubas. Mapping is more intuitive; I like the way they used waypoints which is more accurate and more familiar than driving the mower from place to place without clearly defining points. The mowing pattern selection is much more intuitive as well and adding a mowing angle to a work area is perfectly done by simply dragging two dots until the line overlay matches the look you want. I do like Luba's way of showing the amount of work remaining/completed via shaded areas vs the eyesore redlines that Husqvarna uses. As previously mentioned though, the biggest shortcoming is that you can't do any satellite troubleshooting in the Husq app. With the Husq app you can also pause mapping and pick back up where you left off, you can save multiple mowing profiles (i.e. winter vs summer), and you can pause any mowing task, go do something else, then restart the mowing task instead of fiddling with percentages like in the Luba 2's app.
• Lawn Damage - (Winner - 450X) - The Husq 450X EPOS hands down causes less lawn damage than the Luba. No more crop circles, no damage in front of the charging station, it is a real joy to watch it turn on a dime with no endless grinding itself into the dirt. The Luba 2 got stuck all the time at the ends of rows, bases of trees, etc. as it tried to turn around in the soft dirt. It also killed untold numbers of seedlings which I will probably need to overseed.
• Mowing Speed - (Winner - 450X) - The Luba 2 has multiple mowing speeds that you can pick but if you are like me, you have no idea what is too fast or what is slower than necessary. The Husq has no mowing speed options but if you watch it, it automatically slows down on thicker patches of grass and speeds up on recently mowed patches. This not only gets the yard done faster while extending the battery life, it also makes the setup simpler.
• Mowing Height - (Winner - 450X) - The Luba 2 lets you set the height and so does the 450X, the nice thing about the Luba is that it gives you the exact height in inches (or cm) vs the 450X where you have to do you own math to figure out what 1 or 2 or 3 mean in inches or cm. The reason why the 450X still wins for me though is because it is much faster at adjusting the height when it needs to. The Luba 2 bogged down a lot and ground itself into the ground when the blade was too low for the terrain. The 450X seems to adjust its blades in real time and never seems to stop and get stuck on bumps even with the blade set at 1".
• Connectivity - (Winner 450X) - The Husq 450X EPOS includes 10yrs of LTE data and also includes Bluetooth connectivity. The Luba 2 relies on wireless and Bluetooth and if you want LTE you have to buy your own SIM and data plan. Many times the Luba 2 would grind itself into the ground then just turn off. I would then need to go hunt for it in the yard, turn it on, connect via Bluetooth, move it out of the hole it had dug, then wait for it to get a satellite fix before I could get it to do anything. The 450X with LTE is always accessible until the battery dies. With the improvements in connectivity, the anti-theft features are also much better.
• Audible Beeps (Winner 450X) - This was a big problem for me with the Luba 2. It beeps all the time (when its adjusting the cutting height, returning to the charging station, searching for a satellite signal, starting a mowing job, on the charging station, leaving the charging station, etc, etc.). The charging station is right outside of my bedroom window so I had to start running it in the daytime just to keep from being woken up. The 450X EPOS does not do any of that, it shows everything via the app and the status LED on the top, no endless beeps.
• Perimeter Mowing Logic (Winner 450X) - I never understood why the Luba 2 put so much emphasis on perimeter laps, to me it's just the first row to be mowed, apparently the 450X EOPS thinks so too and treats it as such. The perimeter was being badly chewed up by the Luba 2 since it is the least level areas of my yard, the 450X EPOS just mows it without fuss and no digging in and getting stuck at the base of my fences.
• Battery Replacement (Winner 450X) - the 450X EPOS battery can be replaced in about 10min and they are readily available from a dealer, eBay, and others. The Luba 2's battery replacement story is still very murky to me.
• Blade Performance (Winner 450X EPOS) - The Husq automowers spin both clockwise and counterclockwise after every recharge, this means that you do not have to flip the razors over every xx number of hours. The Luba 2 does not have this feature.

OVERALL WINNER (TIE)
Right now both the Luba 2 and the Husq 450X EPOS have a fatal flaw; the Luba 2 badly chews up my yard, and the 450X EPOS can't seem to find its RTK/Satellite Signals. At this point in time I do not know if the Luba's or 450X EPOS's problems are just software or a fundamental hardware problem. Mammotion is addressing their hardware design with the release of the Yuka, I can only hope the RTK problem with the 450X EPOS can be fixed via a firmware update.
I know the 450X EPOS won a lot of categories for me, but if it sits around in my yard all day searching for a signal then none of the rest of its features matter. RTK is so important to the fundamental operation of a wireless RTK robot that it supersedes all else in my book.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Luba 2 - I would recommend the Luba 2 if any of the below are true:

• Hilly yard - obviously the Luba 2 is the better of the two with its AWD
• Mature grass/hard ground - if you have a mature yard with hard clay or dirt that can handle the Luba 2's grinding donut turns then I would recommend the Luba 2
• Cost - If cost is your only concern then obviously the Luba 2 is a no brainer
• Trees / Obstructions - If your yard has even a few big trees or big obstructions, at least for now, the Luba 2 will far outperform the 450X EPOS when it comes to RTK performance

450X EPOS - I would recommend the Husq 450X EPOS if ALL of the below are true:

• You have a perfectly wide open yard with no trees or other obstructions
• You have a yard with new turf or soft dirt/sand
• Your yard is relatively flat

Wired Solutions - My front yard Husq 315X wire guided mower is great, problem free, and still uses a wire. I used a trenching machine, bought heavy duty 14 gauge wire, and buried it around 8" deep. In my opinion, if you can deal with installing the wire, not being able to change things later, and risk the wire breaks, wired is still the most reliable way to go. I think wireless mowers are very close to being mature, but something needs to come along to reduce the problems with satellite reception, RTK placement, and blockage from buildings and trees. We don't all have that perfect wide open yard with no trees or buildings.

I'm running a late 2011 MBP with Monterey. 2.4 ghz quad core i7 with 16gb of DDR3. I've heard these old macbooks run hot but my fan control app says I'm getting above 200°F consistently when utilizing 3 or 4 decks on my s8. I haven't changed the thermal paste, but I don't know how much of a difference that would actually make. Even when my app says its hot as hell it never starts skipping or lagging at all though. Even with 3 or 4 stems at once it doesn't actually ever start clipping or crashing.. just gets really hot. I keep a frozen gel pad under it right now when mixing and that helps a ton but I don't want to do that when I wanna start actually performing

Reflections:
I'm super grateful and happy with my decisions. I have committed to Princeton, and it definitely is the best fit for me. College results this year were very random, but I couldn’t be more thankful to get into the #1 undergraduate university. I was worried that since most of my application was MIT-related (Research, classes, Letters of Rec, Awards, Activities), other universities would think I was going there and reject me. College results were super random and stressful, but it worked out better than I could have ever imagined. It's funny how I got waitlisted and rejected from all my target schools (Vandy, UMich, USC) but then got into most of my reach schools.
Advice for Future Applicants:
Be authentic. There is no formula that gets you in. Sure, you have to do a couple of things like getting good grades and SAT scores and having some unique activities and awards, but especially for Top 10 schools, you just have to be unique and authentic. I didn't have any connections or background (like private school and college counselor) that provided me with opportunities. I was literally the first kid ever from my school to get into Princeton. I was authentic and hardworking, did stuff I enjoyed, and one thing led to another. I also spent a lot of time on essays and my application. 50% of the work is actually doing stuff, and the other 50% is showcasing it in your college application. Also, have balance in life. I had a lot of fun in high school and enjoyed the stuff I did. Live life with no regrets. Feel free to DM me.

Hi! I am from a smaller town near Macon where in comparison to a large city such as Seattle or Atlanta there isn't anything to do at all except for a couple things and I think I'm really interested in moving to Seattle as it has a lot of the things I'm looking for in a city after I'm done with getting my Associates Degree in Nursing but after looking at some other posts and comments here from some older posts by Southerns, I'm worried I may be glamorizing the idea of moving to Seattle and moving there as someone who has been in Georgia my entire life that moving to Seattle may not be all I thought it is. Even though I love the idea of living up in the Pacific Northwest, being in a more liberal state without having to be around a constant majority of conservatives in rural Georgia who make life feel very unpleasant especially since I happen to be trans, having a lot of the drizzling rain which I adore, and the nature as well as the outdoors feeling much more pleasant to be in without the mosquitos, pollen or gnats or absurdly high temperatures we often have here. I feel like it would be really nice to live in a big city with so many more things to do but I have a few things I'm a bit worried about being:

1. Are the highways up there really that much worse than Atlanta? I heard there is only one highway and I feel like could cause major issues if just one thing happened?
   
2. When I as looking at locations for card game shops that I could play Pokemon or Magic at, fencing clubs, and I am curious about getting into paintball and airsoft so I looked that up too but I saw all the results on Google Earth or maps seemed to have significantly smaller numbers of these places in Seattle and the state of Washington where when I looked up locations of these places on Google Earth and maps I saw that that these types of locations had double to triple more in Atlanta and the State of Georgia than in the former which I found weird but maybe I was just looking at the wrong thing?
   
3. Are the winter months really that bad? From what I was seeing people say that half of the year is cold, gloomy and just awful in general but I am curious if that is true? From what people were saying is it just no vegetation left with everything dead and just snow and rain with no sun? I wouldn't mind it that much just probably the temperature a little bit if it got under 45 since that feels a bit uncomfortable to have outside in but I suppose the weather will be pretty similar anywhere right? I would certainly love not having the extreme heat of the South though!
   
4. I'm a bit on the younger side being 18 at the moment and if I were to eventually move to Seattle I would be 20 so I am curious to how it is for younger people there? What are some of the best ways to establish myself within the city and try to make friends within things I like to do or hobbies I have? I am a bit introverted but I like to think I do an okay job with trying to meet new people and make friends try to maintain those connections. I would also probably go back to college hopefully at UW to either get the prerequisites and pursue the career of being a provider or physician so I am curious to what the college life is like in Seattle?
   
5. I haven't like researched this at all since it's not a huge priority of mine at the moment of course but I've heard some people say that Seattle has an awful dating scene where a lot of people are into polyamory and if your not into that then your out of luck and I was wondering if that's really true or just people complaining a bit? Are there any particular dating apps that are popular in the Seattle area?
   
6. I doubt I'll get much insight on this question but one of the reasons I wanted specifically to be an RN in an inpatient psychiatric hospital is because I don't like how I was treated during my stays in our hospitals in Georgia and I think I could make things better if I at the very least didn't treat patients like animals who were just a nuisance and I've also had that experience of unfortunately being a patient myself lol, so I feel like I would be able to connect with patients and try to make things easier in an appropriate way of course and I don't know much about how the Seattle healthcare system works and of course haven't seen much of it but I was wondering if like it would actually be more of a negative if I did my nursing education in Georgia and then just jumped ship to go to Seattle since I don't know if like I would have insufficient knowledge of how to be a good nurse in the way Seattle's medical system works and would the patients see me more of a threat since I'm not from Seattle or the state or someone they don't like since I'm from the South which is of course known to be very conservative and from what I've heard from people from the West coast say that we are fake nice and I wouldn't want to be perceived as that or do any misservice to anyone from Seattle.
   
7. The major thing that worries me I suppose more than any other is that I won't fit in there in Seattle as I do here in Georgia or Atlanta and from what I've seen from other posts and comments here from Southern folk and people from Seattle alike is that "Southern charm" doesn't seem to be like a thing in Seattle where people are nice just to be polite? Are people in the those posts making it out to be more than it really is? I don't really care about not saying Ma'am or Sir but or expecting a retail worker to have all cheery and smiley while their doing their job but I guess what I've grown used to and quite like is people in my city and the South seem to be very friendly and easy to get along with and be friends with each other very quickly just not in a super serious sense mostly just stay friends only in the sense of where you meet like in my case fencing or the card game store but I feel as even while I was at a summer camp up in Atlanta or the psychiatric hospital everyone was very quick to make genuine interest in being nice to each other and getting to know one another and I'm a bit afraid that I'll be lonely in Seattle since I think I expect a certain level of friendliness and niceness just because of my upbringing only being in a small Southern town although it's county name is called the most progressive county in Georgia it is still quite rural. Another minor concern of mine is that people will notice if I have a Southern accent and think I'm a rude asshole if I try to be nice or strike up conversation but I don't think I have that much of an accent? I would really like to make moving to Seattle work but I'm just not sure if it's the environment I really want.

What makes this journey special is that I had zero coding experience before I started. The idea for Uni Explorer came to me when I realized how challenging it was to find comprehensive information about universities, IELTS courses, and consultants all in one place. I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a solution. Search "Uni Explorer" on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Download from there.
I relied heavily on online resources to learn everything I needed. ChatGPT was an incredible tool for answering my questions and guiding me through coding challenges. Stack Overflow became my go-to for troubleshooting specific issues, while YouTube tutorials and free courses on Coursera, Meta, and Udemy provided structured learning paths and hands-on projects that were crucial for understanding the basics and advanced concepts of app development.

The journey was far from easy. Collecting and organizing a large dataset from universities, consultants, and IELTS course providers was one of the most time-consuming parts. However, the satisfaction of overcoming these hurdles and seeing my app live on the app stores made it all worthwhile.
If there's one piece of advice I can offer, it's this: don't let the lack of experience deter you from pursuing your ideas. The resources available online today make it entirely possible to learn and build something amazing from scratch. Take your time, be patient with yourself, and stay persistent. You might just surprise yourself with what you can achieve.
I hope my story inspires some of you to take that first step towards bringing your own ideas to life. Not only can you create something valuable, but you can also open up new opportunities for personal and professional growth.

I work for a tech company, and I am EXTREMELY privileged to have this work-from-home position considering I dont have my degree yet. My boss was extremely happy for me and wanted to promote me to a higher level, and obviously I was very excited. I was disabled for quite a bit, I have an auto immune disease that causes very painful joint damage and I spent 5 years in extreme pain and only recently got it under control. But in the past year, things have been looking up, in terms of my new job and my new prospects and all. I got A+ grades before I dropped out because of my disease, and my job gave me a chance. A very, very situational chance. Again, I didn't have a degree, and their hiring me was a 'risk' according to my boss. But he saw my grades and knew about my disease and wanted to take a risk on me.
But I live with my parents. They are kind of old-school catholic italian types. My dad is a bit of a snoozer but my mom is very aggressive. My dad mostly just does what my mom says. I love them dont get me wrong, they have put up with a lot with me, but they are completely clueless in terms of how a lot of things work. They know about my disease and barely act like it matters. They just... dont really get that I have a legit disease. Its always been an issue with them. When I have a flare up and have trouble walking up the stairs, my mom always yells "WHATS WRONG WITH YOU!!?" as if she hasn't heard it a million times. They just don't get what it means to be chronically ill. They always say that 'im a healthy young guy' and all that. Whenever I mention that I have a disease they brush it off and say that ill get over it or that they also have arthritis. I have sat them down a million times. They get it. Temporarily. And then some time goes by and they suddenly act as if they don't know what a chronic disease is. Its been a constant struggle.
Anyways. Three weeks ago my parents asked me to go to my uncles place in upstate new york to move all his stuff out. I told them, repeatedly, please no, get movers. I said, explicitly, I cannot do this, I have inflammation in my joints, I cannot be lifting couches and beds. I gave them numbers for movers, over and over. I even said I would pay for them. They just did not listen. At all. The night before, I had told my mother,
"I told you for two weeks i cant do this, and gave you other options, even options I would pay for"
and she got so furious with me she threatened to kick me out. Shrieking at me and calling me lazy and worthless. So I went to my uncles, and I tried to help. And I did kind of help a bit.... but I had no wifi. The entire time. And I couldn't work. I tried to leave and my mom threatened to kick me out if I left, even just to go to the local dunkin donuts to connect to wifi. And working at my uncles... it was horrific. It was lifting so much stuff constantly. I work out, almost every day, to keep my muscles ready for joint damage. I am a pretty muscular guy. Even then this destroyed me. It was lifting couch after couch, bed after bed, I was broken.
At the end, I missed out on 5 days of work. I barely connected to my job from isolated visits to a local dunkin donuts and they sort of told me things were okay, but that they want me back to work. When I got back after the 5 days, my job was beyond furious at me and basically demoted me. From a job I was about to get a promotion from, they were so mad that they effectively demoted me. I had told them ahead of time, but I thought it was 1-2 days of work, not 5 days of work. My mother INSISTED it was 2, MAYBE 3 days. After the second day she kept on telling me I would be kicked out if I didn't keep on working. She was screaming at me relentlessly saying how I rely on her for a home. She kept on bringing up how my uncle was disabled, with his severe sciatica... but nothing about my problems, of course.
I just... don't even know where to begin. My parents have fucked me over before, but this? Its a totally different level. I have nothing but hatred in my heart for them right now. And yet I have no option but to live with them. I just... want them to understand what they did to me. I don't even know. I just feel so angry. So, so angry. I literally feel nothing but depressive anger inside of me. I cant even do my hobbies. I cant work out, i cant play video games with my friends, I cant play chess. And yet, I rely on them for a home. I cant express anger. I also cant move out, housing prices here (Boston area) are insane and now? I definitely don't earn enough to move out.
What am I supposed to do?
