Have you spotted Opacksā€™ recent post? Here he infographicizes (yes thatā€™s a new word, shh Iā€™m making it happen) the recently introduced Jupiter Product Changelog. This is available on jupresearch, but Iā€™m loving this format too! Jupiter moves so fast and partners so well that even if this was just the other day - we still have some new updates for you. JupSOL is now live in Kamino Multiply šŸ’ø. Jupiter Perpetuals has updated their trading fees structure! It should benefit the vast majority of traders, pretty much 99%. šŸ†

Meteora Alpha Vault & UpRock Launch on LFG
Meteora launched their latest anti-sniper bot system alongside the $UPT launch on Jupiterā€™s LFG platform. For the first time, you could be the first to buy, ahead of bots and other buyers, by depositing USDC into the vault before it closed.
No Operators* allowed - the Alpha Vault is Chamber* proof! āŒ Your tokens will be secured ASAP, but with a Vesting period (like heā€™s wearing a vestā€¦ coincidence?! šŸ¤Æ)
*to be clear, these are Valorant references - OP is a sniper rifle, Chamberā€™s ult is a sniper rifleAND he has a vest, Alpha Vault tokens have a vest. TY for coming to my TED talk.
BTW guys - do I need to remind you that thereā€™s a difference between the free 10 $UPT drop and the ASR rewards coming in July? No? Good. šŸ˜œ Either way, jup_dao has us covered re Whatā€™s ASR. Pretty sure Opacks and BlueZenith also have some cool infographics for this topic!

if you DID need that reminder, TY slorg!
Now, I heard there were some hiccups with communicationsā€¦ you better hop on jupresearch for that tea. šŸµ
Uplink WG Video Missions
Uplink will have a video mission each week to jumpstart ā€˜Community Powered Commsā€™ - and yes Kash, I do like the name. You can hear him discuss this during the Planetary Call #15. Do reach out to Organized General if youā€™ve got bounty questions - easily find him on #uplink-work-group on Discord.
OrdiRums explains how they work through a video he posted on X:
https://x.com/ordirums/status/1796120930537570468
I think itā€™s ingenious crowdsourcing mixed with some good ole community empowerment. Iā€™ll be waiting to see some of those vids cross-posted here on Reddit! No cross-posts, no cookies. šŸŖ

2024.06.01 14:32 OnePlantain6420 Kri-fam, explained

This is my first post, as someone who's been exposed to lethal levels of kri content for years, here's my understanding of them. Detailed analysis, forgive me.
Akri - tries very hard to look nonchalant but is in fact very... Chalant. šŸ˜„ Cares a lot about how she comes across, makes it a point to put out an image of someone who's mindful and soulful. Might have realised too late that being pretty isn't going to cut it in today's media field with highly talented people, so tries to make it look like being a foodie and travelling are actual skills. Also being aesTHetic and organised. Lives for the "good girl " tag, from everyone . Puts in lots of effort and time into this. Kudos. As far from nonchalant as it can get. Will not ask for likes and shares in her vlogs like every other cheap vlogger (she does vlogging for fun and is in fact a film actor who deserves more film projects, as she'll tell you in every interview) , but will in fact give you a very meaningful advice, something that encourages you to be mindful about life. The nonchalance has gone way too far that it looks fake af when she tries to act excited about food, singing, dancing, etc. Takes grandparents for outings and vlogs about it, because how the fans drool over paasam for oldies. Preachy.
Dikri- deeply wounded middle child who didn't get a lot of validation growing up, probably the attention was hoarded by older sibling who proudly admits to disliking the younger one from day one. Might have tried to earn her family's love as a child, which should've been given unconditionally, but never measured up to the stds set by the older one, whose need for approval and admiration made for a sense of rivalry than feelings of siblinghood. Decided it wasn't worth it to try anymore, and turned into a rebel. Seeking validation from outside, falling for love bombing and a guy who'll praise her constantly, treat her like the main character and shower superficial compliments on skin color and beauty. Probably has low self esteem, having been contrasted against siblings who are more traditionally pretty. Will keep telling everyone she's pretty not realising how silly it sounds, because insecurities are loud. Posts for her mother's bday in the most impersonal way 'hbd mathaji' etc, acts rude with family in vlogs, bitter about the partiality and lack of attention given her as a child. Puts on hyper independence as an armour.
Ishkri- mentally checked out from the drama. Looks resigned and indifferent as a result. Seems like a nice person. Probably got a lot of validation from everyone growing up because how pretty can someone be! All the positive attention, halo effect probably helped her grow into that person who's actually low key, secure and content with herself.
Hakri- the pampered one, felt the effect of sibling rivalry the least among them owing to her young age, the older ones seem to want to be Hakris favorite, Akri especially going so far as to say it'd have been nice if it was just herself and the youngest as siblings, the bond would've been better. Seems to be closest to Ishkri, also very out of touch with reality thanks to being very privileged and cute. Comes across shallow but actually cares about being nice to others imho. Should've joined a college in another state away from..
Sikri: that parent who's extremely partial towards whichever child caters to her own needs the most. Openly tells the world who her favorites are, how she prefers travelling with one daughter for the expensive resorts they stay at etc. Probably feels like she could've married better and not for love, since she cannot stop telling everyone about her schooling in Ooty, childhood abroad and overall past glory. Realises her need for luxury through her kids, rewarding the one who affords the most luxury lifestyle for her. Immature. Never encouraged kids to pick up a book and read. Thereby limiting their sense of self to looks/money. Talking in English imo to rub in the fact, ooty educated formerly rich woman fallen to a life of normalcy. Favors the kids who are prettier and more successful. Lives in reflected glory.
Kriku: disdainful towards the wannabe attitude of his partner. Indifferent to the child who seems to pamper mamma just for cookie points and all the antics for attention and approval. Seems to sense the unfairness of parents picking favorites among their children, therefore chooses to hold Dikri close and tries to tell her she's valued. Except for the bjp thing, seems grounded and normal. Might not be very intelligent. But means well.
Tl;dr. Bad parenting resulting in rivalry among siblings. In a culture where toxic parenting is a taboo topic, a family of influencers who show us what not to do.
I wrote this because I know they love reddit as much as any of us. Also to say, people see through it all. All that said. Big fan. Grateful for the entertainment.
To Akri - it's OK to be human and flawed. Reading will enrich the mind and actually add substance. To Dikri - you've won at life, nothing as pretty as being humble.
Op suffers from acute joblessness, as you might have noticed. Not successful or pretty enough, sigh.šŸ˜”

2024.06.01 10:22 TBustah "He'll give us lots of peasants!" [unidentified media]

For years, I have been trying to identify/track down this schmaltzy Christmas television commercial from (if I recall correctly) the late nineties-early aughts.
I am not sure exactly what it was for. It must have been for cookie dough or something else used in baking, because the thing that stands out about it is the part at the end where the little girl tells her mother, "Maybe if we make Santa lots of cookies, he'll give us lots of presents!". When she said "presents" it sounded more like "peasants", which my brother and I thought was hilarious. Even at such a young age, we found the whole commercial really sappy and stupid, so we joked about this "be careful what you wish for" scenario where the family wakes up on Christmas morning to a bunch of filthy medieval serfs hanging out in their living room and begging to be fed.

2024.06.01 02:39 ferinsy [RIDE KAMENS] Review for the new JP spin-off: not very Kamen Rider, but lots of husbandos!

[RIDE KAMENS] Review for the new JP spin-off: not very Kamen Rider, but lots of husbandos!
Ride Kamens (ćƒ©ć‚¤ćƒ‰ć‚«ćƒ”ćƒ³ć‚ŗ) is a game based on Kamen Riders that allows you to ride them interact with them, increase affection and train, the usual stat raising sim deal. The game is developed by Liber Entertainment (A3!, 18TRIP) and published by Bandai Namco (Dragon Ball Legends, One Piece Treasure Cruise); it has a positive reception in Japan so far (although the same can't be said for Global fans of the franchise since the game deviates a lot from the usual KR stuff).
So, third husbando game this month, and this one is purely for the geis lol not really, but kinda... The default MC is called Noah, so there's that. You can change the MC's name and your username at the start and choose your first person pronouns ("watashi" is the first option, "boku" is the second: the last one is more masculine, white "watashi" is used a bit more generally, so it's the option if you go by feminine or non-binary pronouns).
I couldn't connect to the game since the gameplay is mostly idle-ish, but I'm still somewhat enjoying it (you'll see the reason: the designs interest me a lot!). That being said, this post probably won't be as detailed as my usual reviews, but I'll try to objectively present the game features like any other review I write.
Have a cookie before we start.

IMPORTANT!!!

If you can't start the game (forever on loading screen after downloading the game data -- 1.8GB for the basic download or 3.3GB for batch download), you'll have to change your phone region to the US and the language to English. Japan/Japanese probably works as well, but English will be easier to understand for most people, since your phone and a lot of apps will change the language as well.
On Android, you can search for "language" or "region" in the Settings app (in your own language, of course) and youll find the option. Or (at least in my case, for Android 14) you can go to Settings - Additional settings - Language & region.
Previous to this game, an "Episode Zero" has been released in two formats: novel and audio drama (do not confuse it with the in-game Chapter 0). The story is a prequel to the game, focused on the protagonist's father. You can check it in the links at the end of this post. I don't have any knowledge about translations of this material, but the PDF is available for free and it's easy to translate it via any screen translator (since it's not written, but in image/scan format).
Take my hand and let's review this game!

BOYS

Once again, we have the unit/team-based husbandos, bringing the number of boys to 16, divided into five teams. And, surprise surprise, it's another game where all the characters are white and pretty slim, but the designs are great imo, and their Kamen/masked versions stand out a lot and make me appreciate the game more. So, here are the boys (2 images of each team, one with them in day-to-day clothes and the other with the battle uniforms):

STORY

Since I'm not fluent in Japanese and the pace of joseimuke games is crazy lately (I'll have another one to try on June 3rd), I've only read the 4 segments of chapter 0 and a couple of entries from Chapter 1 (the segments are pretty short, there are 15 chapters available on release :O). That being said, the game is written by Yuya Takahashi, a known author for the KR franchise, so that information might be useful for fans out there (source).
The game is set in its own universe and it's its own thing. You're basically a clueless MC that wakes up in close to a museum, where you find a glowing mask that opens a dooportal to a Kamen academy area, where you discover the existence of the riders and also discover about how chaos is taking control of the society through an evil organization called Chaosism. It's basically the introduction, but a bit of spoilers ahead: you're introduced to this organization through the form of the academy's president, who's actually a member of the Ulseven, an influential Chaosism group consisting of seven members.
MC will discover they're actually the descendant of a previous leadeagent(?) of the Kamen RIders, and their butler Leon will help them follow their father's footsteps to bring order to this world controlled by chaos.
\"Playing for the plot\". The plot ā†‘

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay loop consists in using cards to do exploration missions in order to get chaostones, which you use in battles. So basically, you'll want to auto the whole exploration, which is basically a training segment that takes several minutes with training, resting, encounters and a final battle to get a chaostone.
You select a leader card, other 3 cards (and it's also possible to bring a friend to support you), plus a chaostone you already own; these elements ideally have to excel in two attributes (there are four of them: red, blue, green and yellow), which are the two from the area where you're sending the leader boy to explore. Complete this exploration/training and you'll get a better chaostone than you already have. These stones have a combat power that will be the main stat to win battles. Cards are leveled up with materials obtained via stages and missions, but chaostones are mainly obtained via exploration. Exploration also levels up your cards a bit. VERY IMPORTANT: the chaostone you get from exploration will be from the same boy as you set up as the leader card (each card has with two arts: the standard one, and the chaostone one).
You'll encounter battles in a couple of story stages and on daily grind for materials, so you'll use your chaostones quite frequently (these battles are the usual chibi ones you see in most 2D games, oh well...). For some reason, you have 2 different energy/stamina types: 100 energy for your exploration (consumes 20 per exploration), and 3 BPs daily for the grinding stages (consumes 1 BP per battle). Battle is basically auto and you only have to tap once to finish it; you'll need a higher battle value than your enemy to win (the grade of your chaostones will define the battle value of them, grind exploration for better graded stones -- grades are the exam format, as in A+, D, F etc.). After you finish a daily battle, you can skip the other 2 battles instantly (thus consuming all the 3 BPs).
There's also a Camouflage Cafe where you can set four boys to hang out with and interact (3 times daily for each boy) in order to increase their affection. This feature also uses the chibi versions, unfortunately. You can also gift them (gifts are mostly obtained for free while playing and completing missions --there's apparently no daily limit for gifting). Besides interacting and gifting, it's also possible to increase your affection through battling.
Battle interface.
CafƩ interface. You can remove their masks in the \"private\" option.

GACHA AND MONETIZATION

Among the three games released this month (the others being Break My Case and 18TRIP), this one is the game where I've felt less the greedy hands from the devs (even though it's a game published by Bamco). There are lots of 10 (standard) pulls given for completing the first handful of chapters, free pulls from starter rewards, free gems from newbie missions etc. but we still have to wait for future events to understand the actual pulls income in the long run. And the pity is quite okay: 100 pulls guarantee a random 4 stars card (the highest rarity in-game).
There are 2 special paid-only banners that require a paid 10-pull ticket with a 4 stars guaranteed for each. But I guess the game has some sort of bug, where I see the prices of both packs as 108 yen each. Since I'm not from Japan and I've downloaded the game from third party apps, I can't confirm the right price. I also can't see the price for 10 pulls and other stuff, I'm sorry (if I click any paid pack, it gives me an error and it brings me back to the title screen).
Every 10 pulls guarantee a 3 stars card, and currently there's no limited banner per se, only a standard banner and specific banners for each team of riders, and these team-only banners have a deadline of July 16 (probably for a pity/spark reset). One 4* card only for each boy so far. A pull costs 200 gems (2k per 10 pulls), and the odds are 3% for four stars and 18% for three stars (the other 79% is probably the odds for 2 stars, but the in-game notice doesn't add up to that, so I can't confirm that, although it's very likely). Just for reference: a story stage gives 30 gems for the first completion, story with battle gives 60 gems, and daily battles give 50 gems.
Not everything is a strawberry field (forever), so there's a catch in this apparent less-greedy-game-of-May-2024 (phew, that was a mouthful): the cards require dupes to increase their max level. 2* cards start at 40 max level with no dupe, 3* have a max level of 60 and 4*, max level of 80. All the cards can have up to 4 dupes, each one increasing the max level by 5 (so respectively the max levels are 60, 80 and 100).
Quick observation: the team-specific banners are tricky, be careful! The odds are really low: team-specific 4* cards only have a 0.25% chance to be rolled, and the rest of the 3% odds is divided by the other boys (so it's usually around 0.17% per off-banner 4*). The catch is: these banners have a spark of 250 pulls, so after 250 pulls, you can get a specific card you want from that team. The team banners have exclusive spark currencies (5 teams, 5 different sparks) and they don't share pity. Not clear enough if the pity will carry over to other banners of another kind, but the spark won't. You can also get other cards from the specific team and materials if you don't reach 250 pulls.
IMPORTANT! At the start there's a free 10x pull that guarantee a 4* card. This pull only guarantee one 4*, so get the boy you like the most. You can get more than one 3*, though (you can even get none at all).
Random UI drop.

CONSIDERATIONS

I haven't been exposed to the Kamen Riders franchise that much, but I do believe this game can be quite interesting for people interested in joseimuke/idol games AND tokusatsus (or specifically Kamen Rider since it's written by an already established Kamen Rider author). If you don't know Japanese and you don't have those interests, it might be a hard sell.
Overall, I really enjoyed most things about the game, even though the gameplay is really weak in my personal opinion. But everything else is pretty well done, the live2D lives up to the modern standards, and I personally love the music and the riders' transformation segments (it's pretty mahou shoujo -ish). Also love the fact that you can obtain backgrounds (and a background song or two) from missions to customize your homescreen for free; costumes aren't that hard to obtain either: they come from gacha cards, and not only 4* ones: 3* cards also come with costumes!
Minor complaints: even though I love the batch download, the game isn't really that well optimized and there's a bunch of loading screens. Not to the point of making me give up on the game because of them, but still quite noticeable and tiresome. I can see this and the fact you need to change your phone's region to impede some players of downloading it. The UI (image above) is very appealing aesthetically to me, but the navigation can be prett confusing, and the menu (top right button) has too many options, more than it'd be necessary.
And a last request: please, check the links at the end of this post. There are several useful ones: besides the usual download links, there are links for the fanmade English Twitter and Discord accounts, an UI navigation guide (this game is the really intricate menu-wise). The Discord community, along with the Twitter account, are translating some bits of the game, like voicelines and personal stories, and they'll potentially make some story translations available as well.
Oni-inspired suit? Peak design!

TL;DR

Pros:
  • High quality (specially in character design and live2D);
  • Free costumes, backgrounds, customization, not many things paywalled;
  • Seems to be free to play friendly (-ish);
  • Story written by a previous Kamen Rider author;
  • Pretty active English community support;
  • No geoblock, so no VPN required.
Cons:
  • You might need to change your phone region/language;
  • Not available in English;
  • UI can be hard to grasp;
  • Card level is tied to dupes;
  • A bit too much of loading screens.
Unsure:
  • The gameplay: it's probably a love-it-or-hate-it case since it's idle-ish.
Glorious card art!

2024.06.01 02:12 pdpbeowulf The ultimate CHEWY chocolate chip cookie recipe?

Iā€™m broke, times are tough, but I still have a raging sweet tooth.
Iā€™m in search of the chewiest chocolate chip cookie recipe. I considered adding vital wheat gluten to the dough but Iā€™m afraid it would make it hard like a cracker. In an ideal world this would be one of those high protein cookies but Iā€™m not so much a baker Iā€™m just having a massive craving while trying to lose weight and build muscle. Iā€™ve heard xanthan gum can also be added to make a chewier cookie? Any input would be appreciated. I also have guar gum because Iā€™ve been making my own ice creams in the Ninja Creami. Would molasses help in adding to the chewiness of a cookie?
Sorry for the word vomit, Iā€™m just ravenous for this ideal cookie.

Chocolate chunk cookies!
I think my dough was a touch too dry but I canā€™t stop eating this. I always bake for peopleā€™s birthdays but I donā€™t often bake for myself simply because Iā€™m hungry for something so this was really nice.
Havenā€™t been able to stop thinking about choc chip cookies since the last post on here that I saw. Recipe used is posted in the comments!

2024.06.01 00:53 teawithpetunia My (26F) partner (30M) is a completely different person when heā€™s angry. Iā€™m starting to feel like his actions are abusive, how do I approach this?

Apologies for the wall of text. This is half venting, half desperately seeking other opinions on what is happening because I feel so confused.
My partner and I have been together for almost 6 years. Around year 2 we started having very explosive arguments that havenā€™t really gotten any better despite our best efforts. While the issues that cause the fight eventually get resolved, our communication never seems to truly improve. Sometimes it gets better, but almost always reverts back to its worst. Over the last 2 years I have been starting to feel that there are very clear signs of abusive and manipulative behavior that I couldnā€™t quite put my finger on. I started reading the book ā€œWhy does he do that?ā€ By Lundy Bancroft, and it has finally put words to some of the ways I have felt mistreated throughout our relationship. The book is almost 20 years old and can be a bit dated at time, so I take everything with a grain of salt and have been doing independent research about things I felt were applicable to me.
My partner, letā€™s call him Max, is for the most part a loving, caring and highly sensitive person. He checks in on me all the time and is so in tune with my emotions that it amazes me. He has always made me feel cared for and is the least judgmental person I know. When we are not fighting, he really is a wonderful & generous partner and we go through long stretches 2-3 months where things are great. I know this sounds like the clichĆ© reddit post where the OP is like my relationship is PERFECT and then goes onto describe a very far from perfect relationship (& maybe this is my wakeup call that that I'm being that person right now). But really, outside of arguments, we have a great, & still imperfect, relationship filled with so much love.
Over time we have gotten much better at bringing up things that are bothering us in healthy & fruitful ways (we are both ex-people-pleasers so we struggle with voicing displeasure). However, conflict has ensued we face the same issues. When he gets angry he becomes a completely different person. At times it takes a lot for him to get angry- especially at times when we are having an argument where there is seemingly no resolution and we are both emotionally exhausted, and probably should have taken a break a while ago. More often though, the anger comes out very quickly, and seemingly out of left field. Often times it is the tone I use, or how I communicate that causes the initial conflict. What is confusing for me is that his perception of how I said something feels so far from mine. This happens often enough to where I feel like I am walking on eggshells, to the point where I usually monitor my tone and how express things pretty closely. I also have autism & ADHD (what a fun pairing), so my words & tone are often misinterpreted. In general I try to be careful about how I speak to others & even more so with especially Max. Max is neurotypical, so at times it feels like we are speaking different languages- I try to be intentional with how I speak in our conversations so that we can both feel understood. I want to mention that I also have my own triggers, trauma and unhealthy ways of communicating, and I know that I am equally at fault for the initial lapses in our communication. I usually have no objection to the original conflict, what worries me is how the original conflict is then seemingly used as a reason by Max to lash out in anger. The argument that happened recently opened my eyes to some of these things. Here's a brief synopsis:
We were unloading groceries and I was simultaneously reorganizing the fridge. Max started moving things around in the fridge looking for something, not knowing that I was currently reorganizing. Here is the conversation that ensued (almost word for word, I know tone is hard to interpret from text, so I will try me best to explain):
Me: ā€œAw, I just reorganized that shelf.ā€ Max: ā€œDonā€™t speak to me that way.ā€ (abrupt) Me: ā€œSpeak to you in what way? Iā€™m just want you to not move around stuff in the fridge because I'm organizing it.ā€ Max: ā€œwhy are you so emotionally charged right now?ā€ Me (slightly confused and feeling cornered): ā€œIā€™m not emotionally charged. Try to speak to your own experience, what are you feeling?ā€
This set him off. I could have said it nicer or more empathetic- but at this point I was already registering conflict on the horizon and feeling anxious. I asked him again to talk about his experience and how what I did made him feel. This is something we have discussed with our couples therapist about not assuming the other persons emotional state and rather keeping it in the ā€œI feel (blank) when you do (blank)ā€ structure- which can be annoying but it does help reframe how my actions affected him.
He couldnā€™t answer this question, so I then asked, ā€œwhat tone in my voice did you perceive?ā€ He then said that I should know the tone and know that it is unacceptable. At this point, I think he thought I was playing dumb which made him angrier, but truth be told I was unsure of why my tone or request had angered him, the reaction felt out of place. I thought my delivery was even keeled, albeit I would have improved the delivery or maybe just not said anything at all if I could go back in time.
I could see that he was hurt but I was also feeling confused and annoyed because I felt as though he was taking his anger out on me. It was hard for me to be the most comforting and empathetic person, though I was still trying to redirect the conversation in order to better understand what was happening for him. The first segment of the argument ended pretty abruptly after that, with him yelling, hitting a wall and then kicking an empty box across the living room and locking himself in the bathroom. I followed in an attempt to comfort him. He let me in and I held his hands and asked him to tell me what was going on, knowing that he was really struggling & feeling empathy for that. He was able to then talk about why the experience was triggering for him and how the tone and delivery reminded him of his mom (who he has some trauma with because she was extremely anxious, uptight and demanding of him in his childhood). Once he said this I broke down crying.
Now, an interlude for some important context. Max's biggest "theme" in our conflicts is that he often struggles to feel understood by me. We have had extensive conversations about how I can work on making him feel understood through mirroring, and other specific communication exercises. I try to put these into play, though I do struggle because his style of communicating can feel very unnatural and even ingenuine to me- it feels like I am reading from a script. In the last year, when I am expected to respond, I get immense anxiety that is attributed to a pressure to preform. I start to feel that if I am not able to show understanding in the way that he expects, the argument (& his anger with me) will get worse & I am the one to blame. There is anxiety tangled up in the idea of failing him & failing myself, then frustration with myself for not being able to do something that should be simple, and then even MORE frustration because now I feel like a selfish bitch for making everything about me when it was suppose to be about Max. This all becomes debilitating at times. Resulting in intense anxiety attacks or waves of feeling so overwhelmed I can't speak. This is what happened in that moment.
Max saw this was happening & immediately switched gears. He told me it was okay, and that he didn't need understanding in that moment. He comforted me and I felt seen and loved & also felt pretty terrible that the attention had shifted to me. I told him I felt guilty about this & he reassured me it was okay. Speaking from a place of insecurity and fear, I told him that I was scared that my inability to show understanding in this moment would be held over my head or weaponized against me in a later argument. There have been several times where I have shared a vulnerable feeling with him and it has been used against me in moments of anger, so the fear comes form a real place. Again he reassured me that wouldn't happen. We took a break and sat down to talk about it later that day.
This was the start of a 3 day long discussion and several arguments. I donā€™t need to summarize everything but in those days here are the things that struck me as definitely NOT okay & possibly abusive:
The list continues but I think this is a fair snippet of actions that could potentially be seen as manipulative or abusive. I am confused on whether or not he is ACTUALLY abusive or if I am just making something out what are merely just unfavorable communication tactics.
My therapist has mentioned that Max seem to have narcissistic traits (which I don't really believe) and abusive tendencies. She has shown real fear for my situation and has actually advised me to not say and share certain details of my life with him out of worry for me. This is part of the reason I stopped seeing here, because I felt her assessment was a bit unfair since she had never spoken with him.
I have stopped talking to almost all my friends about my issues with Max because a majority have shown strong displeasure with his actions & I often times feel like they pity me. Max also stated that he felt like my friends didn't like him, he has hinted that this may because I tell them a biased retelling of our arguments. No matter what a story will always be biased, so I opted to stop sharing with my friends and encourage Max to hang out with us more as a group. I think a lot of my friends like him more now, but I can't help but feeling isolated because I don't have many people to talk to this about.
My one friend who I really felt comfortable with sharing these issues with has even recently advised me that based on a recent argument that maybe it's time to move on.
Our couples therapist (who we have been seeing for 1.5 years) is great in most regards, but I don't feel like he has taken my concerns as seriously as I want them to be taken. He has told me separately that he does not believe Max is abusive.
I have laid out all of these actions to my couple's therapist & to Max on several different occasions, and I am feeling defeated. When Max isn't angry we make so much progress & I even feel like he is less quick to get angry. But once the anger starts all the healing and work we've done just doesn't seem to matter. In those moments it's hard to tell if he even sees me as a person- I feel more like an obstacle that he needs to defeat, or a scapegoat for his negative emotions.
Are these the warnings signs of an abusive relationship? Is the abuse already happening? Are we in a toxic relationship where neither of us can break the cycle? I'm not don't need any definitive answers, but would really appreciate any feedback I can get.

For The Grascals, that bond has been forged at the intersection of personal friendships, shared professional resumes and an appreciation for the innovative mingling of bluegrass and country music that has been a hallmark of the Nashville scene for more than 40 years. Their cutting-edge modern bluegrass is delivered with a deep knowledge of, and admiration for, the work of the musicā€™s founding fathers. Timely yet timeless, The Grascals make music that is entirely relevant to the here and now yet immersed in traditional values of soul and musicianship. Itā€™s a unique sound that has earned three GrammyĀ® nominations and two Entertainer of the Year awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association, as well as national media attention that seems to perpetually elude acts entrenched in niche genres. Such appearances include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Fox & Friends, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and CBSā€™ The Talk. 2024.05.31 19:51 icedomin8r LN3121/MR55v1 router, DNS refusing to work after multiple factory resets, also loses "CA" settings for DFS.

This is beyond confusing and frustrating. When I first setup the router I did it through the WEB UI and after I was done this problem was present. I thought I might have done something wrong so I factory reset the router and used the Android app to configure the router. Shortly there after this problem came back.
Right after I reset the router it works perfectly, any new device that is assigned an IP via DHCP connects and can resolve sites through the specified DNS servers. I preformed a reset yesterday at 4PM and when I went to bed at 12AM everything was working fine. I wake up this morning at 7:30AM and its not working again.
The same is true for the DFS option, after clicking on the "CA" link a the bottom of the web UI and enabling DFS, my capable devices all get the higher link speeds, until the DNS issue pops up, then the higher link speeds revert back to a max of 1200Mbps. If I toggle a custom DFS channel, then switch back to AUTO, the higher speed returns, but only temporarily.
Most of my devices are configured locally for static IPs and DNS, all those devices work fine for accessing the internet while the router is having this issue, so the problem isn't with my DNS servers. While this issue is occurring, no matter what DNS servers I specify in the router i.e. Google, Cloudflare or leaving the fields blank, it wont work. I can't manually configure IP and DNS for all my devices since a lot of those devices don't give that option (IOT smart plugs, retro gaming handhelds, guests that come over, etc) so half my network isn't working properly.
The only "custom" settings I have on the router is that IPV6 is disabled, I have the 2.4 and 5ghz wifi networks on separate SSIDs, two local PiHole DNS servers are assigned, a handful of DHCP reservations are specified, the IP range is 192.168.10.x instead of 1.x and there are a few forwarded ports for Xbox live. The router is placed in a highly ventilated area on top of a computer rack.
This is the fifth time I have had to reset the router in the 2 months I have owned it. During that time I think it's been a sum total of 24 hours where it functioned properly. I have no clue what I can do next to fix this. The logs seem basically worthless as it show limited information, unless there is some advances settings I'm not seeing. I am getting sick of having to setup all the reservations and other settings only to have this work for a few hours.
Firmware is showing up to date with 1.1.2.209598 MR55v1 as the revision. My network topology is dead simple, Verizon 5G gateway setup in passthrough w/DHCP disabled, the router is feeding a 2.5Gb switch and the router has a few devices connected via ethernet to it. Every other setting on the router is factory.
This doesn't seem to be a double NAT issue that some Verizon gateways have had issues with. I see the public WAN ip address correctly in the web UI of the WR55 and a tracert of 8.8.8.8 goes from the router right to the correct public WAN ip.
Aside from turning this into a frisbee, what are my options here? Let me know if I am leaving any info out that is needed. Thanks.
