AITA for telling my dad's wife he lied and that I never agreed to visit them for the summer?

2024.06.01 13:25 Old-Butterscotch-814 AITA for telling my dad's wife he lied and that I never agreed to visit them for the summer?

I (18m) moved out of my home state two years ago with my mom. My parents are divorced and my dad is remarried and has kids and a stepkid back in our home state. I don't have a good relationship with him so when my mom got an opportunity to move, I told her to take it and bring me with her. A judge agreed that at 16 I was old enough to say I wanted to go and so we went. My dad was really unhappy. So were the rest of his family.
BG: I was 5 when my parents divorced. Dad cheated. He then moved in with his affair partner and they broke up a few months later. So I had a lot of unsettled shit going on then. A couple of months later my dad meets his second wife and her kid who was 1 at the time. They got engaged and married really, really fast. After he moved her in I told him it was going too fast and I asked him to slow down and wait to get married and stuff. He told me it wasn't my decision, he was the adult, he made the choices, and he would do what he wanted and he didn't care how it made me feel because he wasn't going to stay single for me. I never forgot him saying that. The day he did get married is when he realized he had fucked up. Because I "ran away" back home to mom so I wasn't there for the ceremony and I refused to go to the reception either. He told me the day after the wedding that I should really give this a chance and he would prove that this was the best for everyone. But I never wanted to be with my dad from the day he told me what he did to the day mom and I moved. I wished for him to not have custody over me and I never tried to be a part of his family. The rest of them are innocent and I don't hate them or blame them. I just don't care about knowing them. My dad kept hyping me up to his stepkid and later his other bio kids with his wife. So they thought of me as this really cool older brother and they expected a much closer relationship than I wanted to have with them.
When I left it upset them. I got letters and calls from them. I told dad he needed to get it stopped because I wouldn't stay in touch once I was 18.
A few days before my 18th birthday he called me and told me he wanted me to visit for the summer so his family could see me, that his kids missed me. I told him I would not come, not if he paid for everything, not if he begged.
Last week his wife reached out and asked why I hadn't told them my arrival date yet. I ignored her message but then she started calling my mom and to stop her I called her and she asked why I'd go back on my word to visit this summer and how disappointed her kids would be if I didn't show up after they were told I was coming. I told her dad's a liar and I never agreed to visit for the summer. I made it clear I wasn't going to. She got mad and asked me why not and I said I no longer wish to have any contact with them and I ended the call. I then got a bunch of emails sent by her and then by dad who were pissed about what I said.
AITA?

3. Bar Chart: A bar chart is similar to a candlestick chart but does not display the open and close prices. Instead, it shows the high and low prices, as well as the open and close prices.
4. Renko Chart: A Renko chart is a type of chart that uses a unique algorithm to create a chart that is not based on time. Instead, it uses price movements to create a chart that is more focused on the price action.

Time Frames

Time frames determine the duration of the data displayed on the chart. Common time frames include:
1. 1-minute: A 1-minute chart displays the price action over a 1-minute period.
2. 5-minute: A 5-minute chart displays the price action over a 5-minute period.
3. 15-minute A 15-minute chart displays the price action over a 15-minute period.
4. 30-minute: A 30-minute chart displays the price action over a 30-minute period.
5. 1-hour: A 1-hour chart displays the price action over a 1-hour period.
6. 4-hour: A 4-hour chart displays the price action over a 4-hour period.
7. Daily: A daily chart displays the price action over a 1-day period.

2024.06.01 10:51 Glad_Artichoke_5098 How do I tell a guy I’m not interested after waiting too long?

I’m in serious need of help. I 18F started talking to this guy a little over a month ago 19M. And he’s already made all his bios, accounts, reposts all about me and is basically obsessed with me. He constantly talks about wanting to get married and have kids and our future and he thinks that it’s set in stone we are going to be together forever…we only right out of highschool l and it’s to much to fast. At first it was fine but it’s honestly getting weird… we haven’t even gone on any dates and have barely talked in person. And at first I did have feelings but the obsessiveness made me lose feelings and I honestly don’t know what to do now. And when I say obsessed, I mean obsessed. It just makes me uncomfortable but I don’t have the heart to tell him and I’m scared to, because I don’t want to lose him but I think he’s moving about 10x faster than what is comfortable with me. But I’m planning on telling him soon or at least tell him to chill out but I have no idea how to say it without it ending in getting blocked. Any advice? Please help me ladies

2024.06.01 09:09 jpegarya just needed to vent ig?

i am 19M and feeling really helpless alone and suicidal lately. Since past 3 years everything has been downhill. Never knew it would take such a turn but we had the best family like legit best mom best dad and a cute lil small sister. it all started with small fights b/w mom and dad back in 2k21 when my dad was diagnosed with covid and we almost lost him. But after that my dad went real paranoid. Thanks to those fights my mom was asked to leave on their 20th anniversary (lmao). it's been 2 years since i have even heard my mums voice. my small sister (that time only 9 yr old) got seprated from her mom which was obv traumatising for her. she went crying 24/7 in my arms saying i dont wanna live and all (which made me loose my shit fml). imagine a kid saying that in your arms. My dad went on full depressed and kinda umm idk what to say but yes we lost our bond. we didnt talk for months (except him shouting at me every single day). he attempted suicide twice thinking its all his fault which is clearly not but i am not the feelings express kinda person. i cant express my emotions towards anyone. After my mom i was asked to leave cause acc to him i was partner in crime with my mum. i was away from my sister my dad for 10 months at my grandpas house in a really remote village total loner everyday thinking i should end but the thought of my sis just holding me back. my dad said to me that i m dead to him and blocked me on everywhere. i took sleeping pills (triptomer, petril md) for 4 months (w/o anyone knowing) but still couldnt sleep at all. finally after 10 months i tried to speak. texted him thru dadu's phone managed to get back home with my dad and sis (delhi btw). in between that lost my girl too cause she wanted to cheat on me so bad 3 times and while breaking up said the most beautiful things bout my fam my mum my dad my sis. (hate her)
Moving on we spent delhi me around 3 4 months tg i hardly went out with my friends and my dad suddenly thought oh yes we should move to that stupid dadus place cause he wants some ass striking peace. what about me? hes forcing me to do neet its my 2nd drop year currently. my sis didnt went scl since 2k21. dadu and dads relations are not good either. they aint talking since what ig 2 months i suppose. and whenever they have to shout at each other they take their anger out on me as if i am a ragdoll. everyone treats me like a piece of shit. i dont live i just exist.
my current situationship initated things with me when i was not thinking abt dating at all , Saying things like how much she loves me she will always be beside me even if its long dist for how long only to break things apart in a month? saying things like your life and mine are way different. is it my fault that nobody in my family gets me? does that make me so much unlovable? the person who really craves/wants/needs love affection care never gets that. atp i dont have a single person to count on. yesterday evening only my dad said i am leaving very soon you better learn how to live alone. Honestly i would have ended myself long ago if it wasnt for my lil sis. shes the most beautful thing happened to me ever and loml literally. tho she doesnt talk to me at all but i get it shes growing. (idk if anyone would read this bs but yea why not try)
missed many things coz its my first time venting over here and i am lazy to type itna saara😭😭
ALSO SOMEONE PLS SUGGEST ME COURSES THAT I CAN PURSE INSTEAD OF NEET PLS. i had pcmb but i dont fw bio. suggest something with maths i love it. tysm ig?

2024.06.01 08:46 Devianter I made a “Scientific” comparison between variables in Bio across different dating apps.

Around 30 chats with women for the data collection. Alas, I didn’t find what I was looking for, but maybe someone can use and iterate upon my findings.

2024.06.01 08:42 Alcibiadesss Suicide, Depression, and Dark Souls. And then my GF of 6 years just broke up with me.

This is a self reflection ramble as I reflect on the past 6 years. Thank you for reading.
22m, I’ve grown up around those with depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation. I’ve been described as someone able to listen and talk without judgement and it attracts this crowd. Around 14-15 I had an older (16-17) “friend” who had a suicide attempt tried to partially blame it on me because I wasn’t available to talk and was “ignoring him.” Looking back of course I did nothing wrong but be a good friend, but it’s taken awhile to mentally recover and I used to think what would have happened if I just picked up the phone. While I’ve worked on this in therapy, I feel like I still shoulder other peoples issues leaving my drained and I’ve developed depression myself.
She and I had been dating since Highschool and she was my first girlfriend. Basically known as the couple guaranteed to get married, and acted like an old married couple already, even our parents mentioned such things often. We really believed it too. Cliche maybe but we had 6 really amazing and fun years, and shared so many firsts with each other. I don’t regret any of our time together.
She and I met in Highschool and instantly clicked. She had issues with anxiety and was always sleep deprived. This caused issues but we communicated and worked through them. Right after Highschool we find out she has Narcolepsy with Cataplexy. Many things made so much more sense and with medication the pain and sleep deprivation she lived with faded. Then we began long distance as I had to move but we FaceTimed almost every night or gamed together. I flew out every month as soon as I was vaccinated to see her despite my horrible flight anxiety.
While her treatment worked, the state before she fell asleep was akin to being drunk. Her words would be slightly slurred and her tongue loose. If there were any issues in our relationship, she would let me know in a strong way. This caused more and more arguments as we fell into a cycle of her not communicating until she was drugged, taunting me into saying something, us arguing, going to bed and then her apologizing next morning for most of it. I did my best to be understanding, communicate my thoughts and work things out despite how it left me drained. At night I slowly started feeling more like a caretaker than a partner, especially in person. Communicating these feelings only made her distance herself from me.
My issues began 2 years into long distance as I had to move after highschool and my best friend since freshman year attempting to kill themself with a 9mm through the head during the pandemic. He survived and he’s still my best friend but be will never be physically and mentally. It took a year and some change for him to be discharged from the ICU, and was in a coma for most of it unsure if he’d live. As his dad was out of the picture I basically played emotional support for his mom during that year. What else was I supposed to do? My best friends attempt sent me into a depressive spiral as before he shot himself he called me 5 times texted saying he wanted to talk to someone. I didn’t pick up the phone that night even though I saw him calling as I was exhausted from an argument with GF. This guilt and shame still haunts me, no longer consciously but definitely subconsciously.
My GF supported me the best she could but I pretty much stopped letting myself be emotional vulnerable to anyone. I already had depressive tendencies before this but this is where it came all it once. I gained 50lbs and lost a lot of confidence. My only consolation was the Dark Souls trilogy where I could somehow cope with all of these dark subjects in a digestible and beautiful medium (tell me Majula isn’t a vibe).
I eventually was convinced by my GF to go to therapy for everything I went through and it honestly helped, but of course isn’t a cure all. But I began getting back on the right track.
Then we both go into our first semester of nursing school (different schools). One of hardest things I’ve ever done in my life and before going in I stressed that I’m putting myself and my grades first before our relationship and we have to be okay with that.
One day while I’m trying to relax after a 12 hour clinical and 2 days before an exam she asks if it’d be a dealbreaker not having bio kids because of her condition (rarely genetic). I ask way and she says because she doesn’t want to pass on her condition, and I ask if we could go to a geneticist to an expert opinion. She declined. I replied honestly, yes it would be especially without expert opinions. Harsh words were said but what cut the most was her saying my love was conditional off of being a producing children and her love was unconditional, that she would never do this to me if I had a condition like hers.
Next day she apologizes but because we’re in nursing school I ask if we can take a pause to finish this semester because I cannot deal with relationship and school stress at the same time. 3 days before my final she breaks up with me. I barely scrape a B because how bad I did on my final. I had a strong chance of getting an A if I did well.
Since then I’ve been depressed and hurt as hell but doing my goddamn best to work on myself. Or maybe I’m just distracting myself. I’m doing an accelerated full course load during summer while socializing with new friends from school, going to the gym and eating healthy but everyday is a hard as fuck fight to get out of bed and not become stagnant like I did after my best friend attempted suicide. Not every day is successful but I’m trying my best. At nights the mental pain is nearly unbearable but I’ve been successful at staying away from alcohol despite how much I want to drink away the pain from everything.
I can’t help but think about what if’s? What if I didn’t propose a pause? Is having bio kids that much of a dealbreaker?
After everything all I can do is distract myself from the pain. I mean what else can I do?

2024.06.01 08:24 Eats_sun_drinks_sky Venting: I just gave a native girl the ick because I look white. How the fuck does anyone deal with looking white?

TLDR: I'm half white, but I don't feel half white. No one can know that from looking though, and a native girl on a dating app was not into it... Que sadness and feelings of indigenous fraud that I literally never normally feel.
I hate everything y'all. Someone just come shoot me. (Not srs, pls don't reddit cares me)
I do look white. I'm half white, but I don't know my bio dad. I was raised by my native mom and my native dad, but genetics fucked me and I didn't get any of my mom's melanin. I'm the whitest of all my siblings. It just bums me out because I go to places like Reddit and everyone is chill and they don't care because they can't see me. People were chill when I was growing up because I was a kid and was top of language and culture class, and they respected me after I took a beating, fought back, and didn't rat on anyone. College kids were too intimidated by me to say anything (I went to a fancy school, and a lot of the other natives didn't know a rez native before they came to college)
Then I go on a dating app today, and the girl doesn't review my pics before sending me her snap. I send her a snap myself and she's like vaguely disgusted because I'd already mentioned I'm native but I look white. Fml. Live on different rezzes basically my entire life, raised by 2 native parents, dance northern traditional, am enrolled in my mother's tribe, currently living on my own rez, and I somehow forgot that a lot of visibly native girls are probably going to be turned off by my whiteness, even if it's only skin deep. Because it's still whiteness, no matter how much I don't see myself that way. No matter how much I want to deny it, the world sees me as white.
On top of it, Im slowly going bald, and I can't even shave my damn head until my parents die, traditionally. At least since I'm home, I see other, older native dudes rocking their long hair and bald top... But I'm kinda worried about moving away and then just being a balding, fat white dude who claims to be native. Pretty sure I'd have a more enjoyable time ripping off my own toenails than dating at that point.
How do people deal with this feeling?? Everything in my goddamn life screams native except my skin, yet that still matters a lot... Bleh.

2024.06.01 08:21 Shot-Track3530 Feeling like a bad person

I became a step parent in 2022 after dating my SO for two years. Dating a single mom never bothered me and I have a pretty good connection with my SS. As our marriage continued we had my first biological son in 2023. My whole perspective as a father changed in an instant. The unexplainable connection to that little person I had part in creating was a whole different feeling. As time has progressed with my SS he is more defiant and more difficult for me to parent, he’s 5 years old soon to be 6 so I know it’s a learning curve for respect, boundaries, etc. I know he’s not a bad kid and I really want to care for him and I love his mom. I find myself not having that same feeling towards him as I do my bio son. Now we have my second bio son due this year and I’m worried that this will lead to me possibly being resentful and a bad father. I did not have a father in my life so it’s always been something I wanted to provide for my family. Is this normal? I have made efforts to spend more time and do things together with him but I feel worse when all that seems to get overshadowed with the difficulty of him not listening, disrespecting me or his mother, and testing limits. I feel like a terrible person because I know he’s growing up and doesn’t even know the difference between bio parent and step parent, even so I feel like I’m pushing my issues as an adult on a child. It’s frustrating beyond belief and it’s affecting my mental health and marriage. If anyone has any tips, has had these feelings, or even just reads this to listen, it would be much appreciated. Thank you everyone who takes time to read this.

2024.06.01 06:45 baby-dino50 AITA for wanting my gf to put her son in a facility??

So I (27 f) am planning on proposing to my gf (30 f) of 2 years. I love her more than the world itself. However, she has 2 severely disabled kids. Her daughter (8f) is mute and has neurological issues where she has the mentality of a 3 year old. She can now do basic functions, use the restroom herself, brush her teeth, get changed. Only within the time we’ve dated because my gf and her parents would baby her so much she wanted to be carried everywhere. They’d literally bathe her, brush her teeth, change her. Until I got in the picture and when we would be alone I noticed she was a lot more independent than they let on. Slowly but surely she now can say a couple words, shower by herself, bathe and change herself. I’m so proud of her progress. Overall she’s a very sweet and happy kiddo. But physically she’s still very small for her age. Which brings me to her brother (5m). He is severely autistic and has ADHD. He is just an angry kid. When we first started dating we almost broke up because he is so violent. This kid bites , hits, scratches, throws things. He is young but he’s so strong. I have chunks of skin missing from my hands and arms from him biting me. He has no quality of life. He wakes up jumping and screaming and is angry 24/7. He also loves to smear feces all over himself and anywhere and strip naked anytime we look away from him. I can’t even use the restroom without coming out and seeing shit smeared all over him. My problem is he’s violent , taking his angry out on us. I’m afraid for his sister because when he gets angry he pushes her or throws things at her. We’ve tried disciplining him, spank on the butt or time outs but that doesn’t work. We’ve tried the gentle parenting. We got him on medication. He’s in speech, audio, occupational therapy. Nothing is working and there’s no improvement. I’m afraid for my gf’s daughter and if we have a baby in the future I’m afraid for them. We took him to his 1st birthday and out of anger he bit another kid in the leg and literally took a chunk out. I want to marry my gf but I don’t want to be miserable In life. We’re so exhausted chasing him 24/7 to stop fondling himself, or hurting himself or others. He’s little now but when he has his tantrums he is crazy strong. He headbutts , bites and hits. He’ll literally bite furniture or himself if he can’t hurt us. I’m afraid when he gets older and bigger I don’t want him to be a teenager having to fight him off his sister or us. I don’t want this to be my life. But I can’t imagine a life without her. I told her if we are to get married I don’t want him in the house. I suggested his bio dad take over but he’s nonexistent. I suggested a residential facility where people can watch him around the clock and he’ll be safe most importantly. As a last resort foster care. She is upset about the options. I feel like I’m at a lost and idk what to do. Do I suck it up and be miserable for the next 13 years at least until he’s 18? Or do I have her give him up? I feel like the Ahole but I’m open to all advice. Thanks in advance.

2024.06.01 06:02 KrazyKilla85 Lenovo Yoga 370

Lenovo Yoga 370
Desktop

Overview

This laptop has been done before, but retired it due to multiple factors preventing it from functioning properly at the time. Then in early 2024, I couldn't deal with Windows 11 running poorly, and with it never supporting Kaby Lake based CPUs, I decided to go back to installing macOS. And with the new knowledge I learned from the last attempt to now.. I can say this is probably my most efficient Hackintosh to date.

Specification

  • Intel i5-7300U 2.6GHz Dual-Core processor
    • Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz
    • Intel HD 620 Series Integrated iGPU
    • 13.3" LED Backlit IPS Touchscreen Panel @ 300nits & 700:1 Contrast Ratio
  • 16GB Single-SODIMM DDR4-2133
  • 256GB Micron 1100 Series (MTFDDAV256TBN) SATA M.2 Drive
    • This is not a NVMe Micron so it is fully functional
  • Intel I219LM4 PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller
  • AzureWave BCM94352Z M.2 NGFF WiFi
  • ELAN-based Touchpad and Touchpoint
    • Touchpoint is disabled
Temperature does not work, which is normal.

What Works

Overall I am very pleased with this system, which I opted to use a MacBookPro SMBIOS due to no Kaby Lake or near KBL based SMBIOS for MacBook Air SMBIOS. Typically in Windows, I normally get about 6-8 hours of battery life under normal usage, despite the brochure states 13hrs of usage. But the battery is degraded to about 92%, and most of the components have aged pretty badly in this model as it is from 2017.
Now the best part. In macOS, I see about a 4-6hr battery life with this machine, which is the most efficient I have seen to date with all my laptops that I have hackintosh'd over the years. The only caveat is that the Touchscreen does not function, and the laptop's Yoga mode does not work in macOS which is expected. However I good amount functions:
  • CPU Control despite MSR 0xE2 being locked in the BIOS
    • Setting Low-Power Mode reduces CPU usage to its base clock speeds (no Turbo Boost)
    • Apple VTD (VT-d support)
  • Patched DMAR Table for functional VT-d
  • Graphics Acceleration with full 8-bit color depth functionality
    • With this, there is no color banding even when the Kaby Lake framebuffer is utilized.
  • Ethernet
  • Wireless
    • iContinuity is partially functional due to this WiFi module not being natively supported
  • SuperIO Readouts are functional - YogaSMC utilized with a SSDT provided by their GitHub page.
    • Battery Readout - With native reporting in macOS
    • Fan readout is also functional with the ability to use manual fan speeds
  • Boot Camp Assistant
    • With the driver ExFatDxe.efi I was able to utilize the Boot Camp Assistant tool to install Windows 10 and the process was nearly automatic. Only thing I had to intervene was booting back into OpenCore, as Windows took over as the primary boot OS upon installation.
    • Despite that, once Windows was installed, the process continued just like an actual Mac and I had a seamless Boot Camp install of Windows 10 on a Hackintosh, with only minor manual intervention
  • Audio Controller
    • Boot Chime is indeed possible but you must make sure to use the 2nd output and convert the boot chime file to 48KHz, as 44.1KHz is not supported in the UEFI firmware.
    • All other Audio functions normally within macOS.
  • Sleep
    • Though I am noticing potential lockups while in sleep and will have to investigate this.
  • Stylus Pen
  • MicroSD Slot
Battery Settings with Battery Health
Sudden spike was the laptop's screen shutting off then waking up.

What Does Not Work

Of course the touch screen does not work, and I have attempted to get this functional, but this causes a hang during boot up as I am using an old version of VoodooSMBus.kext for my trackpad as it is a PS/2 ELAN device, and not the typical I2C based, which the touchscreen is. The USB-C port on the side works but only when a device is plugged in prior to booting macOS as it is a Thunderbolt-based USB-C 3.1 port, so no hot-plug support.
  • Hibernation
  • Touchscreen
  • USB-C (Partially)
  • SIM Slot
    • No WWAN Controller
    • No drivers for WWAN Controller
  • Smart Card Reader

Conclusion

Overall this system is the most efficient and most compatible I have seen in awhile. Even though battery life is still not as high as it is in Windows, it is farther than most of my other laptops I have used in the past. And once I get the sleep issues ironed out, this will probably become my daily driver for when I'm on the go. As always, I do not include an EFI for this setup as it is purely setup for this particular machine, and there is no guarantee that it will work on any other similar machines.

2024.06.01 03:59 Separate_Gold3123 AITAH for ruining my 16 year old daughters birthday because she bullied her stepsister

I (42m) have a 16 year old bio daughter Emma with my ex wife Katie and a step daughter (16) Sarah with my fiancé zoey
Both I and zoey having been dating 2 years and moved in together in January .Zoey and Sarah moved 20 miles from their home town which isn't far but it meant Sarah had to leave her friends behind,Emma and Sarah seems to have a great relationship at the start with Emma introducing Sarah to her friend group.
In March Sarah turned 16 and wanted to have a sleep over with her old friends and she expressed that she didn't want Emma there. After a longer discussion Sarah opened up about Emma being too much and how she kept pushing the sister thing which at first Sarah went along with to keep the peace but now it was making extremely uncomfortable and wanted some distance. I understood and I apologised for not noticing something earlier that night I went over to Katie's home to speak to Sarah, Sarah was extremely upset and told Katie to return her birthday present I tried to comfort Emma but Katie told me to leave
Emma didn't come over that weekend and when I collected her the week after she barely spoke to me. Sarah tried to apologise and expaln but Emma walked passed her, since than she barely speaks to me and just flat out ignores Sarah but has a good relationship with zoey
This Sunday is Emma's 16th birthday and Katie is holding her a big sweet 16 party. Some of my family are coming from out of town for it and the ones who aren't have sent gifts/money. My niece and Emma were chatting at breakfast about all the gifts she got and how great her party will be I noticed sarah looking upset so when the girls left to get their nails done, sarah broke down and said Emma has been isolating her since her birthday apparently Emma told her friends to stop speaking to Sarah and the few friends Sarah had ditched her so emma would invite them to her party which Sarah isn't invited too. my niece kept rubbing in how Sarah barley got anything for her birthday compared to Emma which hurt Sarah because her dads side doesn't acknowledge her and zoey family isn't well off
When Emma came back I demand her to explain Emma said her friends choose her when she explained why she wouldn't be speaking to Sarah anymore and as for everyone else she can't control what others do, she than said I can't be mad about Sarah not being invited. i lost it at Emma and said there will be no party, I will be taking all of gifts which she will have to earn back and all her money will be donated to a charity for homeless teens and she will not be going to Disney with us in July, I wanted her to apologise to Sarah and first thing Monday I will be looking for a family therapist.
She said I couldn't do that because they were her things and her mother was holding the party I told her watch me. Emma locked herself into her room with some of her gifts and called her mother. Katie showed up at my house like a banshee screaming about me playing white knight for someone else's kid while neglecting mine and those gifts weren't mine to take. Katie ended up taking emma with some of her gifts home and told me stay away from Emma's party, emma didn't speak to me but told Sarah "you win he's your dad now but watch your back bitch"
Katie has blasted me on social media and my family said they want me to give emma the rest of her presents/money or I will be cut off completely. Sarah is extremely upset and is blaming herself which I told her it's not her fault it's Emma's for being a bully and Katie's for being an enabler
I tied contacting Emma but her step dad answered and told me she doesn't want to talk to me I've ruined her sweet 16th and she'll never forgive me
Was I wrong for punishing her and not giving back her gifts?

2024.06.01 03:17 PattyIceNY Realizing my enabler mom was severely depressed and that's the kind of women I dated.

I've been NC for a decade from my bio fam, and with distance comes clarity. I use to think that my bio mom was fine and dandy. And I thought the women I was dating were just not compatible or that it wasn't the right time.
No. The real reason was I was severely depressed. Because I was in such a bad place, I didn't notice those around me were in the same way. I thought we were all normal.
This is the first year I'm healthy enough to look back and see the reality of those years. It's very jarring and grief filled to realize how even though my bio mom didn't directly abuse me, she had a toxic influence on me in more ways then I thought.
I'm glad to be passed it now and looking forward to relating to women in a more healthy and happy way

2024.06.01 03:16 Paulupoliveira How much do you think your stalkers have spent to do their "thing"?

Its a question that always bothered me in this almost 20 years of organized stalking. I mean, I know that if someone has the resources, no fetish, vice, personality deviation kinks, or any activity that makes money - legal or illegally - is out of reach... That being said, giving my experience as an example, I am convinced that it is -depending on the intensity and whether you move around a lot or not - at least a three person full time job...
Given that once they "attach" themselves to ones life they never detach - at least voluntarily - and that according to my experience there is always one stalker moving ahead of me "prepping the ground" and the possible recruitment of free cunts on the premises of my arrivals destination (I know this sounds narcissistic as hell, but that is how they operate), that means at least 3 full time wages plus expenses related with the activity not to mention their equipment that its not exactly found on a online shop selling gadget's for wannabe detectives.
Taking into account the above, the economic reality of my country, Portugal, as well as the free reign they have to operate without any restraints or the eventuality of reprisals by the official law, I assume they rank high in the authority structure of the state, and therefore they are financially compensated accordingly, it means that their annual salary is somewhere upwards of 28k euros, witch is a pretty good salary in this country.
Assuming that they work an 8 hour shift and have 2 days off this means a team of 3 person and at least 1 more when I'm moving, because you know though their eavesdropping devices can reach far, they still have to follow you and planting a bug in your car that is able to monitor your bio functions and subvocal speach might be a risk that they don't want to take, specially when they can do it remotely.
So, 3 person plus an occasional part time 1 at 28k euros a year means roughly 98k euros annually just in salary expenses. Once they've been doing this for 19 years I'm going to make an average of 75k a year, so 75k times 19 add to a total of 1.425.000 euros just in salaries, excluding work expenses, overtime, bonus or benefits.
Now, I'm going to keep up assuming that they are using at least 2 long range ultrasonic acoustic projectors capable of forming sound around a person at 4km since 2007 witch is the date that I started to hear them, though very occasionally (by these time they only used it where I was going to be or when I was not around, hence one of the first phases of gangstalking: the street theater). Back then these ones that were able to project and produce sound at a distance of at least 4km would cost around 100k usd each., and were only available to military and state security agencies. The eavesdropping equipment capable of monitor, record, process and correlate the bio signals with the spoken word in real time, and then using those very same bio signals to infer the subvocal speach, I don't have any idea of how much that equipment that I presume is a mix of several sensors ranging from the electromagnetic spectrum (infra and near infra red, x-ray(?) - this one could be considered a life threatening or even lethal energy weapon instead of eavesdropping device - to the traditional sound mics and of course the ideal spy tool we all carry these days - our smartphone. But lets keep the assuming and put a price tag on this very super duper secret piece of equipment that for obvious reasons no authority wants to admit it owns, let alone use it against their own citizens for benefit and profit of a caste that orbits around a state like flies on a piece of shit, of a decent 500k euros. That's already a budget of 2.200.000 euros just for exerting their parasitic rights on a single host. keep in mind that I'm low balling the cost estimates of this "activity". I'm not even accounting for the intellectual property that they stole and distributed with the members of this caste of very privileged and illustrious and of course naturally entitled parasites...
So TI's of reddit, how much do you think you're worth in parasites, equipment and money to the flies orbiting around your countries state?

2024.06.01 03:12 CaptainHannagan Our dad wants to bring the woman he had an affair with to a family party

Somewhat crossposted from AITA
Some important background info: Our father was engaged to another woman (let’s call her Deana) when he met, started dating, and proposed to our mom. Important note: Our mom did not know about Deana until they had started wedding planning and he had broken things off with Deana. Our parents got married and had three daughters. They divorced due to our father’s drinking in about 2000, and towards the end of the marriage he had an affair with Deana (the exact timeline is unclear). He continued to date Deana on and off, none of the three of us cared for her due to the affair and her being generally rude, especially towards our mom. Our father then dated a young woman and they had our half-brother (let’s call him Jesse). Our father was in and out of jail throughout the next several years. He eventually went to prison for some pretty horrendous stuff in 2017/2018, and one of my older sisters (let’s call her Belle) took full custody of Jesse. Belle lives with our mom and step-dad, so they all three took care of Jesse. Last year, our father got out of prison, and we recently found out he is in a “complicated relationship” with Deana. When she found out, Belle made it explicitly clear that we do not like Deana, and we don’t want to discuss her with him, ever.
The good stuff: All four of us have somewhat strained relationships with our father (due to the many issues mentioned above, plus some). All of us (except Belle) have been low to no contact with him since he got out of prison last year. Our little brother Jesse is graduating high school in a few weeks (all thanks to Belle, our mom, and step-dad). Our father told Belle that he intends to bring Deana to the graduation ceremony. After discussing with us, Belle told our father that none of us, especially Jesse, are comfortable with Deana coming to graduation, and that we all agree it should just be close family (this is all true, and she even left out some of the more angry things Jesse said). Our father then said that he will not be uninviting Deana from graduation as that would be rude, so Belle told him that if Deana comes, they cannot sit with us. He did not back down.
Just two days ago we sent out an invite to Jesse’s graduation party which is being hosted by Belle at our mom and step-dad’s house. Our father RSVP’d for two people, which we assume includes Deana. Obviously, all four of us kids, along with our step-dad, are incredibly upset by this.
Our mom, on the other hand, has forgiven both our father and Deana and wants us to let it go. She doesn't want to start family drama (our fathers extended family will be there).
Would we be assholes if we uninvited our father from the party?
Some additional info: When Belle took custody of Jesse, he had transferred schools about 7 times and was about to be taken to court for truancy. Him graduating on time is a miracle, and is only happening due to the blood, sweat, and tears put in by Jesse, Belle, and our mom and step-dad.
Edit:
This post is not about being angry with our bio dad's gf, Deana, this is about our bio dad not respecting our discomfort with her. Some of my siblings hate Deana, but we know not everything was her fault, it was our dad's. That doesn't mean we are comfortable around her though.
Also, our bio dad was invited in the first place because our brother loves him and so do my sisters. It is just complicated.
