2024.06.02 07:58 Kingcornchips Romanian gun collecting forums/websites

Hello!
I'm in the US looking for more information about Romanian firearms. It's rather difficult finding Romanian-language forums regarding gun collecting because of how difficult it is to collect in Romania. I'm looking for perhaps old forums about historical information, models, factory history, etc. I've asked questions of the CugiROMARM/Sadu/Carfil factories directly using their information request forms (Filled out in Romanian) and have been ignored. So just looking for a bit to skim.
Also, long shot, but looking for some Romanian firearm accessory websites. Old military surplus for sale for pm md 63/65/etc.
Thanks!

🔗WWII Era Walther P.38 Replica Pistol by Denix

I recently got my hands on the Denix Replicas 1081 Walther P. 38 Automatic Pistol and I have to say, it's a real treat for history enthusiasts! The detailed recreation of this iconic WWII weapon is impressive, and it's not just for show. It's heavier than one might expect, which gives it a solid feel in the hand. The pistol-like click of the slide and the smoothness of the mechanism make it a joy to handle, even if it's not fireable.
However, there are some minor drawbacks, like the fact that the slide doesn't lock back and the magazine can't be removed. But considering this is a replica for display purposes rather than practical use, it's not much of a hindrance. It's a conversation starter and a great way to add a piece of history to your collection.

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hands on this book, "The Colt M1911 . 45 Automatic Pistol: M1911, M1911A1, Markings, Variants, Ammunition, Accessories [Book]". Being a gun enthusiast, I was eager to dive into the world of this iconic pistol.
What stood out to me was the detailed information on the M1911's design, manufacturing, and testing. The book takes you on a journey through its combat use in various wars, with more than 370 images that provide a visual breakdown of the weapon. The serial numbers list and the visuals of the weapon's markings were particularly fascinating.
The section on accessories like magazines, ammunition, holsters, and cleaning kits was a nice touch, adding to the overall comprehensive nature of the book. I found the combat-related uniform and equipment items to be of special interest.
However, one drawback I encountered was the inconsistency in the captions of some photos. I was expecting a more complete reference on some of the markings and stampings. Despite this, the book still managed to impress me with its wealth of data and images.
Despite its relatively short length, "The Colt M1911 . 45 Automatic Pistol: M1911, M1911A1, Markings, Variants, Ammunition, Accessories [Book]" is a must-have for anyone interested in the history and development of this legendary firearm. The high-quality images and detailed information make it a valuable addition to any library.

The Ed Brown 1911 housing is a fine example of the dedication to precision and quality that makes this brand stand out. As a seasoned gun enthusiast, I've come to appreciate the meticulous attention to detail that goes into crafting these firearms. With this product, I especially noticed the superior components and expert machining that made the gun feel smooth and well-balanced. The mag well housing, in particular, added an element of sophistication to my 1911 replica.
While the Ed Brown 1911 housing is an excellent choice for those seeking top-notch performance, there are a few potential downsides to consider. One is the price point, which may be prohibitive for some users. Additionally, while the housing is designed for durability, it's essential to take proper care of it to ensure its longevity. All in all, the Ed Brown 1911 housing is an exceptional product that delivers on promises of quality and craftsmanship.

🔗Antique 1911 Replica Manual: Ascar War Department Automatic Pistol, Caliber.45

This "Basic Field Manual" is a fascinating look into the history of the United States War Department Automatic Pistol, Caliber. 45 M1911 and M1911a1, providing a unique insight into the mechanics and usage of these iconic weapons. Despite being a facsimile reprint, the book offers an authentic experience, with its antiquated charm showcasing imperfections like marks, notations, and marginalia. The pocket-sized field manual, measuring at 9 inches in length and just a quarter inch thick, is perfect for on-the-go reference.
The language is crisp and clear, making it easy for anyone to understand the intricate details of the pistols. It also comes with detailed diagrams, which make it easier to visualize the workings of the weapon. Although the book's condition might not be ideal, the information it provides is invaluable for any collector or history enthusiast.
Overall, this "Basic Field Manual" might be flawed in appearance, but it's well worth the read for anyone fascinated by history or military firearms.

🔗World War I and II Era 1911 Webley Revolver Replica

As a history buff, I was drawn to the Denix Webley Revolver replica, with its ties to the Indiana Jones movies. The first thing that struck me was its weight, which made it feel like a real gun. The details were incredibly accurate, right down to the checkered grip and the engraving on the barrel.
However, I found it a bit disappointing that the break-open action didn't work. It may be a minor issue for some, but for me, it took away a bit of the authenticity.
Nevertheless, it's a great display piece and does justice to its historical origins.

🔗Patriotic 1911 Replica Model with Blue Pattern Grips

https://preview.redd.it/sqlu3hobux3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1dda0446109b4166c668c6faa4d5cc1a9f2e37d
This "Uncle Sam" miniature model is an incredible tribute to the USA, perfect for those who want to show their patriotism. As I slowly started putting the pieces together, I found the assembly process to be surprisingly easy and enjoyable. The 1:2.5 scale model is a fantastic representation of the iconic 1911 pistol, with authentic features such as working thumb safety, slide actions, and magazine release.
The model's realistic design caught my attention right away, from its Old Glory Blue pattern grips to the intricate details on the closed barrel. It's clear that the creators paid attention to every aspect of the gun, ensuring that this replica is as accurate as possible. However, the hard-to-find bullets might be a minor inconvenience for some users.
Overall, I'm impressed by the quality and attention to detail of this miniature 1911 USA tribute model. It's a unique and fun addition to any collection, and the ease of assembly is a big plus.

The Real Avid The Pistol Tool is an incredibly versatile tool that has made my life as a shooter so much easier. From mounting accessories to adjusting laser sights and changing side grips, this little powerhouse has everything I need to keep my handgun in tip-top shape, whether I'm at the range or working on it at home.
One of the things that stood out to me is its compact size and easy one-hand access. Every tool is carefully calibrated to popular pistol platforms, making it incredibly easy and user-friendly. I particularly love how each tool locks open for maximum safety and precision.
However, there are a couple of downsides. The screw bits could be slightly larger to accommodate different screw sizes, and I wish the hex head wrenches were slightly larger for greater versatility.
Despite these minor issues, this tool has been a game-changer for me. Every handgunner should have The Pistol Tool in their range bag or workbench - it's an absolute lifesaver!

🔗Manticore Scorpion EVO Folding Stock for Increased Compatibility and Adjustability

https://preview.redd.it/1kawyuupox3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=712dcbbf171e3c45dc6e49b3424b808a2e3061ac
Using the Manticore Slider Stock for my CZ Scorpion Evo felt like a breath of fresh air. The slim design, inspired by the MP5A3, allowed for smooth transitions between extended and collapsed positions. I loved that it added barely any bulk to the gun, making it a great option for those who want a sleeker look. However, I found the stock's locking mechanism a bit finicky at times, which could be frustrating in high-pressure situations.
One of the standout features was the 100% Made in the USA craftsmanship. The build quality was top-notch, featuring a sturdy 6061 aluminum anodized black construction. Another impressive detail was the addition of QD points on both the mounting block and the buttplate, providing easy connection options for sling loops. The grooved buttplate offered a secure grip on my shoulder, and I appreciated the option to mount an optional rubber buttpad.
Overall, the Manticore Slider Stock for CZ Scorpion Evo was a reliable and stylish choice for my airsoft gun. While there were some minor drawbacks, the pros outweighed the cons in my experience.

🔗1911 Slide Recoil Buffers Set for Precision Protection

https://preview.redd.it/k97yq75qox3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8ca3aaf2a95db1dc79f6c609f4985c6e20ce41f
I recently purchased the Ed Brown Slide Recoil Buffers 6-pack for my 1911, and I must say, the quality surpassed my expectations. These precision-molded polyurethane buffers fit perfectly on the recoil guide, preventing any unwanted metal-to-metal contact during firing. This not only makes the gun smoother to operate but also saves my frame from potential damage, making it a great investment.
Despite the high cost, the convenience and durability of these buffers make them worth the splurge. However, as with any product, it's essential not to expect miracles, and the true effectiveness will be discovered over time, as with any product of this nature.

🔗Heavy Duty 1911 Long Slide Kit for 9mm, 38, 40 Calibers

EGW Heavy Duty Slide Stop, a reliable addition to the Heavy Duty line of 1911 parts, has caught my attention for its stainless steel finish and durability. Machined from 4140 Steel, this slide stop not only provides a sleek and sturdy look but also handles the demands of daily use.
One aspect that stood out is the enhanced gripping capabilities due to the serrations on the pad. It provides a firm and secure grip, which I appreciated during practice sessions as it prevents the slide stop from slipping. However, one downside I noticed was the pin size, which felt a bit small and might need attention when installing or removing the slide stop.
In conclusion, the EGW Heavy Duty Slide Stop offers an attractive and highly functional alternative for those who value quality and durability. But, keep in mind the slightly smaller pin size while considering the best fit for your 1911.

🔗High-Quality Linear Guide Rail Kit for DIY Projects

When it comes to DIY projects that require precision, having the right tools and materials is crucial. Recently, I tried out the VEVOR Linear Guide Rail Kit for my own CNC router project, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations!
One of the first things I noticed about this guide rail set was its high-quality materials. The carbon steel main axle, GCr15 bearing steel linear rail block, and aluminum alloy casing all contribute to the rigidity and durability of the product. The surface chrome plating treatment is not only aesthetically pleasing but also provides a corrosion-resistant barrier, ensuring the longevity of the components.
Another standout feature of this kit is how easy it is to assemble. With pre-drilled holes on the support rail mounts, I was able to secure the rail without any fuss. The complete sliding unit moves smoothly without deflection or excessive noise, making my CNC router operation more efficient and enjoyable.
However, I did encounter a minor issue with the friction of the rubber wipers on the carriage. While this may be a necessary compromise to protect the ball bearings, it did require a bit more force to move the entire assembly. But overall, I am satisfied with the performance of the VEVOR Linear Guide Rail Kit, and I highly recommend it to others looking for an affordable and high-quality solution for their DIY projects.

I had the opportunity to try out the LBE Slide for 17 Black, and my experience was quite impressive. As someone with a love for firearms, it was refreshing to see a product that prioritized both quality and reliability.
The durability of the slide was particularly noticeable in my daily routine, providing me with peace of mind that it would withstand the test of time. The build quality of the LBE Slide was exceptional, boasting precision manufacturing and high-quality components that seemed to effortlessly merge together.
However, there was one minor issue I encountered: the slide was designed for a specific type of firearm, limiting its universality. Despite this, it remained a reliable option for those looking to maintain or upgrade their 17 Black. Overall, the LBE Slide for 17 Black is a remarkable addition to any firearms enthusiast's arsenal, delivering on durability, reliability, and build quality while offering years of unwavering service.

I recently had the chance to put the VEVOR 2-pack HGR20 Linear Slide Rail to the test in my DIY CNC project, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The high-quality steel material made these linear guides look and feel durable, with the surface chrome plating adding a touch of beauty and anti-rust protection. What really stood out, though, was how effortless they were to install, especially with the steel support rail and pre-drilled holes for ease of mounting.
Of course, no product is perfect. I did encounter a slight issue with the low friction coefficient that made the movement a bit smoother than I would have preferred. However, this was a minor concern compared to the versatility of the CNC linear rail. I found it widely used in all sorts of precision machines that require high precision linear movement.
In conclusion, the VEVOR 2-pack HGR20 Linear Slide Rail kit is a reliable and convenient solution for anyone looking to upgrade their CNC project. Despite the minor friction issue, the durability, ease of installation, and versatility of the product make it a worthwhile investment.

The Canik TCS Full Size Magwell Black is an intriguing addition to the line of high-quality firearms designed by Canik, a world-renowned brand for their intelligent engineering. Having the opportunity to use it in my daily life, I must say it offers a unique blend of style and functionality.
The most striking feature I noticed is its sleek and streamlined black magwell design, which not only adds an aesthetic touch but also improves grip accuracy. The black finish is robust and seems to withstand outdoor elements without much wear, which is a plus for those who want their firearms to last longer.
However, one element that I found to be less than ideal is the need for modification before it can be used with aftermarket magazine base plate extensions. The inner lips need to be carefully filed or sanded down for a proper fit. This could be a potential drawback for some users who might find it frustrating or time-consuming.
Overall, the Canik TCS Full Size Magwell Black offers a captivating blend of style and precision, with its distinctive black design and robust finish. However, the modification requirement might pose a challenge for those seeking a hassle-free experience. Despite this minor drawback, the product still manages to impress with its unique features and performance.

It's a subtle but noticeable design choice that makes the gun stand out at the range or during practice sessions. I appreciate its robust construction; it's built to last, and it does so without any issues.
However, like many things in life, this product isn't perfect. There's a minor learning curve when it comes to installing it, especially if you're new to this type of kit. When I first heard about the Wilson 25co Officer Full Length Guide Rod for my 1911 pistol, I was intrigued by the idea of improving my pistol's performance. I've used it for quite some time now, and let me tell you, it's made a significant difference.
One of the standout features of this guide rod is its sturdy steel construction, giving my pistol a robust and reliable feel. The silver finish also adds a touch of elegance to the overall aesthetic. However, it did require some minor modifications to the slide, which was a bit of an inconvenience.
The performance enhancements were evident almost immediately after installation. The accuracy and reliability of my 1911 have improved, making it a more enjoyable and trustworthy companion for my shooting adventures. The reversible plug and single spring were simple yet effective additions to the upgrade.
Overall, I've found the Wilson 25co Officer Full Length Guide Rod to be a solid investment for any 1911 enthusiast. It's not without its minor issues, but the pros undoubtedly outweigh the cons. After adding this EGW Heavy Duty Slide Stop to my 1911 pistol, I couldn't help but notice the enhanced gripping capabilities it provides, thanks to the serrations on the pad. Made from 4140 steel and featuring a blued carbon steel finish, it has a sleek look that really sets it apart from other slide stops on the market.
However, one downside I've experienced is that it slightly increases the overall weight of the pistol. Nevertheless, the 1911 Long Slide Kit is a worthwhile investment, as it provides a durable, stylish, and reliable solution for improving the functionality of your gun.

The standout feature for me was the metal recoil rod/spring set up that allowed me to customize it with different springs (bought separately), giving me the freedom to tailor it to my preferences. However, one downside was that the slide kit didn't come with an instruction manual, which made it a bit challenging for beginners. Overall, the Long Slide Kit proved to be a reliable and cost-effective option, especially with the fast shipping and excellent customer service I received.

I had the pleasure of using the Springfield XD OSP Slide Assembly for my 9mm handgun recently, and I must say, it was a game-changer. I've always been a fan of customizing my firearms, and this slide assembly delivered on that front. The fit was perfect, and the inclusion of the OSP plate for optic compatibility was a welcomed addition. The anodized finish, available in black, gave it a sleek and durable look.
However, while the slide assembly fit seamlessly, installation wasn't quite as smooth. The instructions could have been more clear, and the process took a bit longer than expected. Nonetheless, once installed, the Springfield XD OSP Slide Assembly performed incredibly well and enhanced my shooting experience. It's definitely worth considering as an upgrade for your 9mm XD handgun.

2024.06.01 08:52 ammodotcom History of Wolf 6.5 Grendel Ammo

Known for its low-cost ammo formerly manufactured in Russia, Wolf's best-selling calibers are steel-cased 7.62x39mm and .223 Wolf. Wolf is an importer of ammunition that is manufacturer agnostic, as well as brass and steel agnostic. When you see “Wolf Gold,” all that means is that these are brass cartridges.

Where Is Wolf Ammo Made?

Contrary to popular belief, Wolf Ammunition is not a Russian company. They sell ammunition once manufactured in the famous and historic Tula Cartridge Plant in Russia’s Tula District. This plant is owned by High Precision Systems, which is a part of the Rostec Group of companies, with a majority ownership in the hands of a holding company owned by the Russian Federation. TulAmmo is likewise manufactured at this facility. The plant is not to be confused with the Tula Arms Plant, which is a separate entity owned by the same holding company in the same region of the Russian Federation.
Another place Wolf manufactured ammunition was at Lugansk. However, this factory was destroyed in the fighting between Russia and Ukraine. Some of the steel-cased ammunition is made in Russia these days, but none of it is made in Tula. Wolf also imports brass-cased ammo from Taiwan, such as their Wolf Gold .223, as well as importing ammo from the same factory manufacturing Prvi Partizan.
Rostec, High Precision Systems and the role of Tula in manufacturing ammunition for the United States market and the Soviet war effort has quite a detailed history. Like all ammunition manufactured by Rostec, the emphasis is on the high-performance, tactical ammo capable of reliable use in combat situations.
The American company is affiliated with Sporting Supplies International. Wolf Performance Ammunition was founded in 2005, making it a baby in the world of American ammunition manufacturers. They also partner with SK Jagd und Sportmunitions Gmbh (also known as SK Hunting- and Sporting-Ammunition) to manufacture some of their .22-calibre rimfire ammunition.

Tula vs. Wolf

Wolf is no longer manufactured in Tula, and hasn’t been for some time. In 2009, Wolf brand ammo ended their relationship with Ulyanovsk Machinery Plant and Tula Cartridge Plant due to legal disputes between the parties. Wolf now uses suppliers from the European Union to meet their needs. The Wolf ammo website and TulAmmo both issued emails in 2009 that did little to clarify the situation beyond the fact that TulAmmo is not Wolf and Wolf is not TulAmmo.
Part of the confusion stems from what precisely Wolf and TulAmmo are. Both were manufactured at the same plant and made to the same specifications. Upon importation, they were put into different boxes with different logos and different brands. However, on the inside, they were more or less the same ammunition. While in some cases they might have been exactly the same ammunition, they ceased to be functionally identical when Wolf ended their relationship with the Russian manufacturer. Hence the statements from both organizations as to their difference.

Wolf Ammunition vs. The Taliban

The history of Wolf Performance Ammunition (also known as WPA) is tied very closely to the ammunition shortages of the 2000s. This is particularly true of the 7.62x39mm ammo, which sometimes doubled in price and in other cases, vanished from American shelves entirely. The shortage was a result of the Venezuelan military adopting the AK-103 as its standard issue rifle. They placed a massive order, as did the United States military in an attempt to supply the newly formed Afghan Army with the ammunition it needed to secure the countryside.
Make sure your favorite 7.62x39 rifle never runs dry and get some bulk 7.62x39 to keep stored up for a rainy day!
Between 2003 and 2005, the Taliban experienced a resurgence in Afghanistan, requiring a response from both United States troops and the Afghan Army they support. The insurgency was easily crushed, however, the large ammunition order stood. What’s more, the United States and Afghan forces were constantly engaged in mop-up operations against the failed Taliban insurgency.
In January 2006, the United States military began sharing its role in Afghanistan with a multinational NATO force. This prompted another Taliban insurgency requiring, once again, more ammunition supplied by Wolf and other ammunition manufacturers. The fight against this insurgency was far less clear cut and one sided, but the NATO forces obtained many tactical victories and was able to deny the Taliban territory.
Later in 2007 and 2008, Wolf’s steel-cased .308 rounds disappeared from shelves across America. 7.62x51mm NATO rounds were likewise disappearing, pushing .308 Winchester rounds to the highest prices they’d ever seen. The Afghan Army order once again played a key role in driving up prices.
2007 was indeed a rough slog for coalition forces in Afghanistan, largely the British Royal Marines. It was estimated that the Taliban was 10,000 fighters strong at this point, with between 2,000 and 3,000 of these being dedicated, full-time insurgents. Again, tactical victories were the order of the day, but the Taliban always seemed to bounce back. 2007 was also the high water mark for foreign insurgents in Afghanistan. The next year was likewise described as “precarious and urgent” by Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown increased the number of troops in the country.
While many stateside have forgotten about the War in Afghanistan, it is directly responsible for a shortage of ammunition and the attendant rise in prices.

Wolf Brand Ammo

Wolf sells centerfire ammunition for rifles in more than a dozen different calibers and in three different lines of product. Popular lines Wolf Polyformance and Military Classic Rifle Ammunition are for sale in the calibers most commonly associated with the military – including Wolf 5.56x45 ammo, .223 ammo, .308 Winchester, 7.62x39mm, 6.5mm Grendel and others. They sell bullets that are bimetal or copper jacketed and configured as full metal jacket, hollow point or soft point. The cases are steel with a polymer coating, and can be found with both Berdan and Boxer primers.
Ammo for the Wolf Gold Centerfire Rifle line is distinct from other lines they sell, as the cartridges have brass casings and Boxer primers. The same style of bullets are sold in this line, but they also include options for match hollow points and multi-purpose tactical bullets.
Wolf also sells centerfire pistol ammo in all of the most common calibers – including Wolf 9mm ammo, .40 S&W, .45 ACP and the increasingly favored .380 Auto. These cartridges come in the steel-case lines of Military Classic and Polyformance, and the calibers can also be found in the Wolf Gold line, .32 Auto, .357 Mag., .44 Mag., and 7.62 Tokarev.
Wolf Ammunition also carries .22 Rimfire ammo. You can find .22 Long Rifle Wolf Ammo with 40 grain bullets, offering three types of bullets for the .22 LR: round nose bullets, flat nose bullets, and hollow point bullets. The ammunition itself is available in many different types including Standard Plus, Match, Rifle Match, Pistol Match, High Velocity and Subsonic.

Wolf Brand Ammunition and Lacquer Coating

It is a misconception that Wolf Ammunition uses or has used lacquer coating on its rounds, in particular on the cartridge casing. This is not true. Wolf instead uses an acrylic-polymer coating, transitioning from a clear coating to a frosted style coating several years ago. Some people thought this was lacquer and that it melted while firing, despite the fact that it was neither lacquer nor even a substance that would melt when a blowtorch was taken to it. All Wolf Ammunition is in complete compliance with SAAMI standards, meaning that it is completely safe for all purposes – from plinking in the backyard to competition shooting to hunting.
With Wolf's extensive variety of ammunition, they will likely remain a popular choice among shooters looking for low-cost, quality ammo. This is particularly true of people looking for Wolf bulk ammo – a common choice for preppers, plinkers and competition shooters alike.

FAQ

Where is Wolf ammo made?

Although Wolf ammo is an American company, its ammo is manufactured all around the world. For a period it was made in Tula, Russia at the Tula Cartridge Plant, the same place that makes TulAmmo. Wolf gets some brass from Taiwan and imports cartridges from the same Serbian factory that makes Prvi Partizan. Currently, most of the supplies for Wolf ammo comes from the European Union.

Who makes Wolf ammunition?

Wolf ammo is owned by Sporting Supplies International, an American company located in Anaheim, California.

Is Wolf and TulAmmo the same?

Wolf and TulAmmo are not the same. But from 2005 through 2009, Wolf was manufactured at the Tula Cartridge Plant in Tula, Russia, the same plant where TulAmmo is made. Wolf ammo and TulAmmo ammo shared the same configurations and were made the same way. Since Wolf has left the Tula plant, these ammunitions are no longer comparable.

Is Wolf ammo corrosive?

Like other modern commercial ammo, Wolf ammo is non-corrosive. That being said, it is “dirtier” than traditional brass-cased ammos and if your firearm is not properly cleaned after use, it can cause a buildup inside the barrel that may lead to corrosion.

Can Wolf ammo damage guns?

Wolf ammo features steel casings and steel is much harder than brass. This means, over time, it may cause more wear on your barrel than brass casings. In modern firearms, this is most likely minimal. Another reported problem with Wolf ammo, and steel casings in general, is that they tend to be “dirtier” than brass-cased rounds. When this crud is left in the gun, it can lead to corrosion. If you clean your firearm after shooting, this shouldn’t be a problem.

Why do shooting ranges ban Wolf ammo?

Wolf ammo comes in a steel case. Like most steel-cased rounds, it also features a steel jacketed bullet. This makes the bullets extremely hard, much more so than lead and copper, and can damage the backstop in many ranges. If you want to stick with steel casings, opt for Winchester’s Forged ammo, which feature steel casings with brass jacketed bullets.

2024.05.31 17:57 Old_MI_Runner Checklist For Inspecting Caniks For Issues Before Purchase?

Does anyone here or does any website or YouTube channel have a good compilation list of what one should do when inspecting a Canik before purchase at a gun store?
I have been reading about the various issues on the MC9, the over-insertion issue with the Rival-S, and the issues with the new TTI Combat. I think this group could use a sticky post listing what one should do while inspecting these firearms before purchase. I skimmed the FAQ but that was locked 2 years ago and does not cover issues and inspection. I know some issues are resolved easily and some require new parts.
In my case I am tempted to buy a MC9 while Rural King has it on sale in their local stores for $370.
Thus far I recall needing to check for the following:
  1. do the mags drop freely. I know there are easy fixes for this I can do so not a showstopper.
  2. some barrels appear to have improperly machined ramps. I have seen comparison photos here so I know what to watch out for. This would be showstopper for me as I don't want to deal with Canik warranty support if I don't have to. I would rather look for another MC9 at the same store or go to another store. I have dealt with Canik support on a rear sight issue on my Rival already. I gave up and found my own fix.
  3. Not returning to battery. I cannot fire it before purchase. Does with also happen if one just uses dummy training rounds in the magazine possibly allowing testing at a gun store with permission?
  4. Look for broken recoil spring but that typically happens after purchase and not an issue I would expect after test firing at the factory where it would not be caught and fixed before shipping.
  5. How can we tell if the firearm has a more recent manufacturing date? Is anything on the box or can we tell from the serial number? I see replies with manufacturing dates so I assume Canik now puts that somewhere on the box. I don't recall seeing that on my Rival from 2 years ago but will look for the box.
  6. Failure of the slide to lock back when firing. I don't know one would inspect for that in a store. I did watch one video mentioning some found they needed to remove flashing on the lower so maybe that or too heavy of a recoil spring could be the cause.

2024.05.31 16:09 Ok-Accountant8637 Why Your Zelle Payment Failed

Zelle began as a popular payment platform to make quick transfers to friends and family; in the wake of P2P success, Zelle business accounts have become equally useful for instant, no-free transfers between customers, businesses, and vendors. However, many users have reported that their Zelle payment failed at some point since they started using the service.
If this happens to you, there’s no need to panic. Zelle payments may fail for many reasons, and easy fixes are usually available. In this guide, we’ll look at possible reasons your Zelle payment failed and how to rectify each situation. We’ll also shed light on possible repercussions of payment failures and offer guidance on recovering funds when they disappear despite a transaction failure.
Top 6 Reasons Why Your Zelle Payment Failed & How to Fix It
A red X above the front and back of a pink credit card after a Zelle payment failed.
Failed payments are frustrating, especially when action from the recipient is dependent on the receipt of your payment, as can be the case with P2P (Peer-to-Peer) payments. For instance, suppliers often won’t release stock until they receive a payment from you, and some contractors won’t start work until they receive a deposit. This can present a setback in stock availability or delay projects.
In some cases, securing a property, booking travel, or securing a seat at a conference is subject to receipt of a payment. If your payment fails, you may risk losing out to someone else who snatched the last available spot.
The first step to fixing a failed Zelle payment is understanding why your (or your customer’s) payment didn’t go through. Here are six of the most common reasons for failed Zelle payments—and what to do if they happen to you.
  1. Technical Problems and Glitches
As with any tech-driven solution, glitches and other technical issues can cause Zelle payments to fail. These issues might include server downtime, Zelle app bugs, or device or internet connection problems.
Server Downtime
The Zelle app depends on internal company servers to maintain communication between network banks. If Zelle servers are experiencing downtime, there’s usually nothing you can do except wait until Zelle resolves the issue on their side. You can check websites like DownDetector to see if there are any known outages.
Server downtime generally doesn’t last too long, as Zelle understands the impact these issues can have on its clients and reputation. Zelle thus aims to minimize server problems and sort out issues ASAP.
Application Bugs
If you’re using the Zelle app on your mobile device and experiencing payment failures due to a buggy application, try updating the Zelle app. On an Android device, open the Google Play Store, search for “Zelle,” and tap on it to open the app page. If updates are available for download, you’ll see an option to do so.
On an iOS device, launch the App Store. Tap on your profile picture, scroll down to “Available Updates,” and look for Zelle. Tap the “Update” button if available.
Device or Internet Issues
Sometimes, payment failures result from issues with your device or internet connection. Ensure your device has a stable internet connection, and try restarting it to troubleshoot any temporary glitches. Additionally, clearing your browser cache and cookies can sometimes resolve issues if you are accessing your bank profile in a web browser.
  1. Closed or Suspended Recipient Bank Account
The reason your Zelle payment failed could also be due to a problem on the recipient’s end. Zelle will decline your payment if the recipient’s account has been blocked.
In this case, the recipient must restore their account to receive payments from anyone. They will usually need to contact Zelle support directly to address the issue. If they enrolled through their bank’s app, they may also need to contact their banking institution to get the account unblocked.
Once Zelle (or the bank) reinstates their account, try making the payment again. It should be successful this time round.
  1. Incorrect Recipient Contact Information
Even if it’s just one incorrect digit or character, wrong recipient contact information arises as a frequent cause of digital payment failure. If your Zelle failed payment, check with the recipient to ensure you have the correct details.
Sending someone a payment request from Zelle is an easy way to ensure that the paying party uses the correct information. By issuing a payment request from the recipient’s side, the sender has to respond by authorizing the payment—instead of entering their details from scratch.
Zelle will decline the payment if you send a payment to an email address or mobile number that does not exist. However, if you send a payment to an incorrect mobile number or email address registered with Zelle, you will send money to the wrong person. As part of the user policy, Zelle will not reverse or refund payment once you have authorized it.
Always confirm that you have accurate recipient details. After successfully making the first payment, save the recipient in your profile to have the correct information for future payments.
New Recipients
If you are sending a payment to a new recipient, such as a supplier who recently signed up for Zelle, verify they are enrolled with the service beforehand. With US Bank, for instance, a purple “Z” will appear below the recipient’s name if they are registered with Zelle. This way, you’ll know you have the correct details.
A person holding their card next to an oversized phone, realizing their Zelle failed payment.
If the recipient is not registered with Zelle, they will get a notice after you pay. The notice will provide instructions on how to register and access the funds. They will need to do so with the mobile number or email address you sent the money to; if they don’t register within 14 days, Zelle will return the funds to you.
  1. Insufficient Funds
If you try to pay with insufficient funds in your linked bank account, the payment won’t go through. You will receive an automated error message; the notification will usually explain the reason for payment failure.
In this case, the fix is pretty straightforward. You must transfer more money into your Zelle-linked bank account to ensure enough funds are available. Once you have done so, try again.
  1. You Have a High-Risk Business
Zelle prohibits using its services for certain business types, often classified as high-risk businesses. This includes the sale of firearms and related products, pharmaceuticals, sexually oriented materials, gambling, cryptocurrency, and pyramid schemes, among others.
Zelle will suspend, freeze, or terminate your account if you are suspected of using the service for any prohibited industry activities—even if your business is legitimate. Most digital payment platforms and wallets, including Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, prohibit high-risk business transactions; however, all is not lost.
A merchant services provider can help find safe and convenient payment processing solutions for even the most high-risk merchants. They offer multiple payment methods, allowing your customers to pay in a way that suits them, and they won’t freeze client accounts since they’re equipped to deal with high-risk industries.
  1. You’ve Reached Your Daily, Weekly, or Monthly Transfer Limit
Every bank in Zelle’s network sets limits on the maximum amount of funds you can transfer. Limits vary by bank and can apply to daily, weekly, and monthly transactions. When registering your Zelle business account, it’s important to confirm transaction limits with your financial institution—and plan payments accordingly to avoid payment failures.
Zelle will decline the transactions if you try to make any payments over the transfer limit. In this case, you’ll have to wait until a new limit period starts. For instance, if your daily limit is $500 and you have already reached this amount, you’ll have to wait until the next day to complete any further transfers.
What to Do if Your Zelle Payment Failed But the Money’s Gone
If your Zelle payment failed but money was taken from your account, check the payment status. If the payment is “pending,” it means the recipient has not yet enrolled with Zelle. They will, however, receive a notification with instructions. As soon as they complete their registration, they will receive the funds.
On the other hand, if the payment status says “completed” but the recipient did not receive the money, contact your bank or Zelle ASAP. They can investigate the issue and determine the reason for failure if it is not automatically returned.
Before contacting your bank, ensure that you have used the correct sender details and have not exceeded your payment limits. Zelle payments are irreversible and cannot be canceled or refunded if you make an error. Furthermore, Zelle does not offer purchase protection.
Given these caveats, Zelle may not be the best payment method for transactions in which you’re not entirely sure of the receiver’s safety or legitimacy. Consider using a credit card instead when purchasing supplies or services from new vendors—this way, you will at least have some purchase protection.
Payment Methods for Success Beyond Zelle
Whether it’s a frustrated customer, delayed arrival of stock, or overdue wages, failed payments can cause many complications and have numerous knock-on effects. Although Zelle offers free and fast transactions, its limitations can make it less than suitable as the primary payment method for a growing business. Its lack of versatility and business integrations makes it time-consuming for business owners to manage their finances and offers little payment flexibility or security.

2024.05.31 08:31 meatmachine8889 Moving to Idaho questions.

I've slowly been convincing my wife more and more to move to Idaho, it's been a pipe dream of mine ever since I was in boy scouts and took this awesome bike and river rafting trip in Idaho and I was even more amazed going to some little small town tourist trap gift shop in Wallace Idaho and seeing AK47s on the wall for sale. It kinda set in my brain that Idaho's where I needed to be lol.
We live in Washington right now where the gun laws are pretty brutal. It's not even much fun to go to local gun shows anymore because it's so inconvenient for them to have to send what I want to my FFL where I can show them my certificate for firearm safety then do a backgrounds check then go through a 10 day waiting period, and half of the stuff they can't even sell because the guns are banned.
Nothing's set in stone yet, but if we did move, what are the laws like for purchasing guns? From my understanding, private sales require no background check or anything, dealers do and that's pretty much it? I've been going through this reddit and reading up, but is there anything a new resident would know before going out to buy? Also are there any weird restrictions to be aware of? Shooting is my main hobby so I'd hate to make the move only to find out the laws aren't what I thought they were.

2024.05.31 06:53 Pockets408 Considering giving up

Background on me: Bachelor’s degree in CJS, self-sponsored through the POST academy for 3 weeks. Steady work history but I’ve only been full time for the past 2 years bc college classes and all. I work in firearms sales and emphasize my skills with multitasking, computers and data entry. Never fired from a job, never used any drugs, no traffic tickets or other legal issues to speak of. I have 4 write ups at work over the past 7 years, 2 of which were due to paperwork errors in a firearms sale (mandatory coaching per company policy). I also admitted on a PHS to playing hooky from work twice three years ago, that’s about it.
I’ve applied to at least 20 agencies in my area, some more than once. I've done multiple sit alongs and asked good questions during them as well as demonstrated my knowledge of codes and the job at hand and sought advice for further in the process. The vast majority of my applications have resulted in failed interviews-I study what the typical questions are beforehand and give consistent answers and sell myself as best I can but obviously I'm not going to lie on them. I get that every agency is looking for something the same but different. Of the few that I have passed here are the results in order.
  1. Applied, aced oral board, BI went ok, took my first polygraph ever and a week later received a conditional offer. CALPERS benefits and $95k a year at age 24. I don’t remember being happier. Heard nothing from them for 6 weeks then suddenly get a call out of the blue pulling the offer. Six months later I get an email that should have taken five minutes to draw up and send saying I “didn’t meet department standards”.
  2. Applied, did ok oral board, again no hiccups on backgrounds and drove 2 hours each way for a polygraph I passed. This is for by far the biggest agency in the area as well and one with mandatory OT, which ofc I accepted. My father and grandfather both worked here as well so I was greatly looking forward to it. Got an email saying I passed the background check but wasn't hired. I should probably note as well that it was after this that I self-sponsored through the academy.
  3. This was something of a whim application to what is considered the overall best agency in the state. I was surprised that I passed my oral board as I thought I didn't do that well but nonetheless got moved on. I got along with just about everyone through the process and even had nice informal chats with both my BI and my polygrapher about a few hobbies we shared. Passed the background and went before the command oral board and failed that interview. No eligibility list.
  4. I applied to this agency as I was about halfway through #3 above. Went lightning quick from application to passing oral board and PHS in just two weeks time. I took a pre-background polygraph which I was told I barely passed (Yes I know this is a trick the magic box people do to make you admit stuff you did or didn't do. I was adamant that I had told the truth). Have yet to hear back from them after about 3 months now despite two voicemails I left and emails I sent.
  5. I applied to this agency after I failed the command oral board for #3. Had a fairly successful oral board with a score of 88 and filled out a PHS and social media document. I don't really have anything wack on my social media. Didn't hear from them for about 3 weeks and now just heard back that I got rejected.
My point is that everyone says not to get discouraged and to keep trying. But they also say that insanity is trying the same thing over again and expecting different results. This past two or so months has been an immense struggle to keep my head up. But after 20 applications over two years it's really starting to get depressing and a lot of people around me have taken a toll. My question to you all is is it even worth applying further with so many agencies having turned me down for one reason or the other (determination vs. desperation)? Have you yourself or have you ever worked with someone who applied to so many agencies and was turned down from every one? If so what did you do to keep going?

2024.05.30 21:35 No-Replacement-7475 This JUST Happened. "AITX’s RAD Announces Engagement for Department of Homeland Security SAFETY Act Designation for Firearm Detection Software Solutions"

Detroit, Michigan, May 30, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Robotic Assistance Devices, Inc. (RAD), a subsidiary of Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc. ( AITX ), (the “Company”) (OTCPK:AITX), is excited to announce it has retained a consultant to prepare its application for SAFETY Act designation from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for its recently enhanced, state-of-the-art Firearm Detection software solution. Successful designation, which is expected sometime in 2024, would challenge the current monopoly position held by ZeroEyes in this designation.
“Our Firearm Detection software has demonstrated its effectiveness in real-world scenarios, and receiving this designation will expand our potential market to the greatest possible extent,” said Steve Reinharz, CEO/CTO of AITX and RAD. “We are committed to providing advanced security solutions that protect lives and enhance safety across various environments.”
The SAFETY Act, or Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002, provides liability protections to companies that develop and deploy effective anti-terrorism technologies. Achieving this designation will not only bolster RAD's credibility but also offer significant legal protections, encouraging broader adoption of its firearm detection software. Many end users, including major entertainment venues require vendors to have SAFETY Act designation.
RAD's Firearm Detection software (aka gun detection) leverages advanced AI to detect firearms in real-time, seamlessly integrating with existing security camera systems. The software provides immediate alerts to security personnel and law enforcement, ensuring rapid response and potentially saving lives in critical situations.
To support and expedite the SAFETY Act designation process, the Company has engaged a renowned consultant with extensive experience in navigating the DHS's certification process. This strategic partnership is expected to expedite the designation, ensuring that RAD’s Firearm Detection software solutions meet the highest standards of safety and reliability as swiftly as possible.
“Achieving SAFETY Act designation will be a pivotal milestone for RAD, significantly enhancing our ability to accelerate and expand our sales efforts,” said Troy McCanna, RAD’s Chief Security Officer and former FBI senior agent in charge of tactical operations in Michigan and Ohio. “This designation will provide our prospective clients with the required legal protection required which will help create numerous new opportunities.”
“Breaking the monopoly position that ZeroEyes has enjoyed with the SAFETY Act designation is a testament to the competitive and innovative spirit at RAD,” Reinharz continued. “We believe in a diverse marketplace where multiple technologies can coexist and collectively enhance public safety. Our solution is ready to set new standards in firearm detection.”
ZeroEyes recently announced they are seeking an additional $50 million in funding to add to the approximately $44 million raised to date. The company’s valuations for these raises are not publicly available.
RAD’s application for SAFETY Act designation underscores its dedication to advancing security technology and its ongoing commitment to public safety. The Company looks forward to collaborating with DHS throughout the evaluation process and remains optimistic about the positive impact this designation will have on its operations and the broader security industry.

2024.05.30 21:34 TangerineFew6845 My experience with CBSA regarding importing knives

Called the CBSA asked about importing folding knives as a business and whether or not I need a Business PAL in order for my shipment to not get seized..
Lady I spoke with was confused saying why would I need a PAL or why is there even an issue with importing folding outdoor EDC knives. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes and told me to call RCMP PAL..
I called RCMP PAL, the guy basically told me that they only deal with firearms and not "restricted weapons" and told me to call CBSA again..
I have a good friend that produces knives for big camping/outdoor companies that retail for about ~$200.
I'm just trying to import them in without a brand so folding knives can become more affordable, but it seems this is a tough thing to do when the government agencies know nothing regarding their own laws and requirements for importation.
So, I'm here now asking if anyone knows anything about business importation of normal folding knives (like the ones being sold at house of knives).
Thank you in advance.
EDIT: I will be posting any updates I receive on this journey so everyone can finally have a definitive answer on how to import folders into Canada.
  1. Went to CBSA Import office by YVR airport and the CBSA agent told me to not even try without a business PAL.
  2. Spoke with BC CFO today, there is a team called "Exceptional handling unit" for knives and other misc items that don't really fit.
  3. Spoke with that team, told to fill out the business firearm license application and just tick the prohibited weapons/devices for Import/Export/Wholesale or Retail sale as an Agent. Fee is $125.

2024.05.30 18:22 skilled4dathrill39 Please Recommend an online broker/website to sell firearms

So I'm in need of some money, I'm recently disabled so I can't work enough to cover some bills. Fortunately I used to be really into collecting firearms, not super expensive or rare ones. I'm hoping to get advice on where might be the best place in regards to lowest fees and high visitor traffic. I was going to go with "gunbroker.com" but I realized I should ask around before doing so. What I'm looking to sell, if that helps the recommendation, is a Singapore 5.45x39, Saiga .308, probably the Saiga 7.62x39 as well, a Yugoslavian Zastava M59/66 "sks" 7.62x39, then I've got a Winchester 30-06 bolt action model 70 I've never really shot much, and since i have several .308 rifles and the trajectory being so close with the rounds available these days, I don't see any real good reason to keep the 30-06. I also will put a Kahr 9mm up for sale and the ridiculous number of magazines I got for it, the next one is a S&W 3913 and the mags I have for it.
There might be more later down the road I have to think about it, not many prices have gone up so its really the Russian ones and the "sks" I'm hoping will get a good price.
Thank you

2024.05.30 14:01 King_Yogert What Are Your Go-To Sources for Reliable Bulk Ammo Deals Online?

What Are Your Go-To Sources for Reliable Bulk Ammo Deals Online?
As a firearms enthusiast and regular range visitor, I've spent a fair amount of time hunting for the best deals on bulk ammunition. Over the years, I've honed in on a few go-to sources that consistently offer reliable service, good prices, and quality ammo. Here's a breakdown of where I find the best bulk ammo deals online, based on my personal experience.
One of my primary sources is bulkmunitions. I first came across this site a few years ago while searching for bulk 9mm ammo for an upcoming training session. What caught my attention was their competitive pricing and straightforward website design, which made browsing and purchasing a hassle-free experience. Unlike some other sites that have confusing layouts or require a lot of clicks to find what you need, BulkMunitions is intuitive and user-friendly.
The first order I placed with them was a large batch of 9mm rounds. The transaction was smooth, and the order arrived within two business days, which was a pleasant surprise. The ammo was well-packaged and performed flawlessly at the range. Since then, I've returned to BulkMunitions multiple times for various calibers, including .223 and .45 ACP. Their commitment to fast shipping and secure transactions has made them a reliable choice for my bulk ammo needs.
Beyond BulkMunitions, I also rely on other reputable sites like Lucky Gunner, SGAmmo, and Palmetto State Armory. Each of these has its own strengths. For instance, Lucky Gunner’s real-time inventory updates mean you won’t run into issues with out-of-stock items after placing an order. SGAmmo often has fantastic deals on bulk purchases, and Palmetto State Armory is a one-stop shop for not just ammo, but firearms and accessories as well.
Reddit's InStockAmmo is another invaluable resource. The community members regularly share updates on where to find the best deals and discuss the pros and cons of different retailers. It was through this subreddit that I first learned about a massive sale on bulk 5.56 ammo at SGAmmo, which saved me a significant amount of money.
One practical tip I've picked up is to subscribe to newsletters from these retailers. BulkMunitions, for example, sends out regular updates on new stock and special promotions. While the influx of emails can be a bit much, it's often worth it for the exclusive discounts and early access to sales.
Additionally, I use price comparison tools like AmmoSeek. These platforms aggregate prices from multiple retailers, allowing you to quickly compare and find the best deal. It's a real time-saver and can make a significant difference, especially when buying in bulk.
In conclusion, finding reliable bulk ammo deals online is all about knowing where to look and being proactive. Sites like https://bulkmunitions.com/ have consistently provided me with great service and competitive prices. Coupled with other trusted retailers, forums, and price comparison tools, you can ensure you’re getting the best deals without compromising on quality. Whether you're stocking up for range practice, competition, or personal defense, these strategies will help you stay well-supplied and ready for anything.

🔗Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Carbon Beluga: Premium Comfort and Style

https://preview.redd.it/jyv78gwfij3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0d26bbe747ccda0a9616b4f3e8204954c5d292d5
I recently had the pleasure of trying on a pair of the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Carbon Beluga'. These shoes are a true work of art – the intricate patterned design is eye-catching, and the vibrant pops of color really make them stand out. The Primeknit upper is breathable and comfortable, allowing me to enjoy wearing these shoes every day.
One aspect that really stuck out to me was the responsive cushioning provided by the Boost midsole. The full-length cushioning made a huge difference in my stride, providing the perfect amount of comfort for a long day. However, despite their durability, I wouldn't recommend these shoes for aggressive activities due to their slightly delicate upper material.
Overall, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Carbon Beluga' is a stunning and comfortable pair of shoes that anyone would love to add to their collection.

🔗Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Cinder Shoes: Lightweight Mesh, Monochrome Design, and Ultimate Comfort

https://preview.redd.it/zmkeexqgij3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ec9d6f1d05855951b7c749840b2f7529aa5e15c
When I first tried on the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Cinder, I was immediately struck by its sleek and stylish design. The monochromatic look, combined with the semi-translucent TPU cage, made for an eye-catching pair of shoes that seemed to fit perfectly.
One of the most noticeable features was the Boost midsole, which provided an incredibly comfortable and supportive experience, even when walking or standing for extended periods. The shoe felt lightweight and breathable, making it a great option for both casual wear and everyday activities.
However, there were a few minor drawbacks that I encountered during my time with the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Cinder. The translucent monofilament mesh upper, while visually appealing, seemed to pick up dirt and grime quite easily, which required more frequent cleanings than I would have liked. Additionally, the shoe's material caused some itchiness on the side of my ankles when wearing sports socks.
Despite these drawbacks, I found the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Cinder to be a highly attractive and comfortable option for daily use. The shoe's combination of style, superior cushioning, and lightweight construction make it a standout choice for those looking for a unique and functional footwear option.

🔗Reflective Yeezy Boost 350 V2: Lundmark in Style and Comfort

https://preview.redd.it/ex1xca6hij3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82d04884f82869aff7a2d490448d749161007b79
I remember the first time trying on these Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Lundmark Reflective' sneakers. The moment I put them on, I felt an instant connection to the unique design and the comfort provided by the Primeknit upper. It fit like a glove and the reflective details added a touch of brilliance to these shoes.
Running in these sneakers felt like walking on cloud nine, thanks to the Boost technology that offered a bouncy feel. However, after a while, I started to notice a slight discomfort on the bottom part of my feet.
It wasn't a deal-breaker, but I wasn't entirely satisfied with it. The durability was impressive, and the shoes held up quite well even after regular wear. Overall, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Lundmark Reflective' offered an excellent combination of style and comfort, but with a slight concern regarding the cushioning for some users.

🔗Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Jade Ash: Monochromatic Sneaker with Boost Cushioning

Slipping into the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Salt brought an immediate flair of comfort. The rope laces, securing the mint green Primeknit upper, ensured a snug, supportive fit. I loved the distinctive center-stitch detailing that added a unique touch to this sneaker.
Walking around, the SPLY-350 branding on the lateral side of the shoe caught the eye of many who admired my step. But, the shoe's responsive cushioning truly stole the show with its full-length Boost midsole. The semi-translucent TPU cage wrapped around it provided a stable, secure foundation.
Even the grippy rubber outsole played its part in enhancing my stride. However, I did notice that the shoe ran a bit too narrow. It also required a thicker socks to accommodate the slight tightness. Though these issues didn't spoil my overall experience, they remain a point to consider for those with wider feet.
Despite my minor concerns, I truly enjoyed wearing the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Salt. Its attractive appearance, coupled with the comfort it provided, made it a worthwhile investment in my wardrobe.

🔗Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Onyx - Metallic Red Sneaker by Kanye West

I recently had the chance to try on the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Onyx' HQ4540-US17, which was released quite recently. The first thing that caught my eye was the combination of black and white, along with the metallic red accents, inspired by the Chicago Bulls' team uniform colors. The design felt comfortable and not too flashy, making it a perfect choice for everyday wear. My favorite highlight of the shoe was the Primeknit upper material, which not only felt soft, but also provided a snug fit for my feet.
However, I did face an inconvenience when trying to buy the shoe. It seemed that I was sent counterfeit shoes instead of the correct black Adidas size 12.5 that I ordered. The lack of customer service phone numbers and a complicated process using only chat and email made it frustrating to resolve the issue. Despite the positive elements of the shoe, I can't recommend buying from StockX due to the poor customer service experience.

🔗Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Beluga Reflective: Comfort and Style in a Primeknit Sneaker

The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Beluga Reflective' is a sleek and stylish shoe that brings back the classic 'Beluga' design with a reflective twist. The upper material is made of Primeknit, providing both comfort and a secure fit on the foot. The reflective features add an eye-catching detail that catches the light and enhances the overall look of the shoe.
The cushioning is one of its biggest highlights, offering excellent support and comfort with the signature Boost midsole. Wearing these shoes feels like walking on clouds due to their well-designed, lightweight construction. Although the shoe may run a little small, it's easy to overcome this by going up a size or half size.
Overall, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Beluga Reflective' is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and trendy sneaker that stands out in any situation.

🔗Legend Blue Air Jordan 11 Retro: Stylish Graded-School Shoes

While walking around town, I couldn't help but notice the Air Jordan 11 Retro Legend Blue in my kid's footwear selection. The Jumpman logo emblazoned on the side of the shoes caught my eye and filled me with pride as a parent. Upon closer inspection, I admired the pristine white upper and the glossy Legend Blue accents. The shoes have a refined and rugged texture due to the leather construction.
When it comes to sizing, these shoes fit our child comfortably. The heel offered excellent lockdown, and the midfoot was also secure. However, after prolonged wear, the fit did loosen a bit due to moisture and heat buildup. The lacing needed to be adjusted after each game to counter this. This shoe stands tall with its high-cut design and signature details such as the carbon fiber plate on the midsole.
As for the performance, these Air Jordans are not lacking in sturdiness and strength. The leather upper and rubber sole added extra durability, ensuring our family won't have to worry about wear and tear right away.
One drawback, however, was the lack of ventilation. While there were perforations on the toe and a nylon tongue for some airflow, it wasn't enough to keep our child's feet from getting warm. Support-wise, the shoes are flat based and require extra insoles for added arch support if needed.
Putting all these things into account, the Air Jordan 11 Retro Legend Blue is a well-made and comfortable shoe that fits well. Although it could use some improvements in ventilation and support, the overall appearance and construction make it a great choice for adding a sporty flair to our child's look.

As a car enthusiast, I've always been a fan of the iconic Shelby GT 350. So, when I came across Shelby Collectibles Legend Series 1965 Shelby GT 350 1:43 scale model, I knew I had to get my hands on it. The 1:43 scale is perfect for displaying on a shelf or windowsill, so it was the right size for my taste.
The packaging was impressive, with the model carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and encased in a sturdy cardboard box. It showed that the company takes great care in shipping their products, which is a plus.
Upon opening the box, I was immediately drawn to the intricate details of the model. From the sleek white finish to the realistic headlights and taillights, this 350 Legend Bcg model truly stands out. The chrome accents and badges really make the car pop, and I appreciate the attention to detail in those areas.
However, one drawback I noticed was the lack of any other color options for the model. As someone who enjoys having multiple versions of their favorite cars, I would have loved to see other color options.
Overall, the Shelby Collectibles Legend Series 1965 Shelby GT 350 1:43 scale model is a fantastic addition to any car lover's collection. With its impressive attention to detail and sturdy packaging, it's easy to see why this model has received such high praise from fellow enthusiasts.

I recently got my hands on the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Lundmark" sneakers, and oh man, I am in love. Kanye West sure did it again with these iconic summer releases. The shoe's creamy white shade mixed with grey tones across the intricate Primeknit upper is nothing short of amazing.
One of the cool things about this design is the translucent rubber sole unit that has the creamy tone on the midsole, making it a fantastic summer fashion statement. The Lundmark release also offers a slightly more streamlined silhouette with no large heel tab loops.
The comfort level is off the charts—from the Boost technology in the sole to the fitting Primeknit upper. However, I must warn you, these shoes do run a bit small, so make sure you order half a size up from your normal size.
The only con I've faced is the shipping prices, but hey, these kicks are worth the waiting time, don't you think? All in all, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Lundmark" sneakers are a must-have for any Yeezy fan who is looking for a unique and stylish summer pair.

🔗Yeezy 350 V2 Carbon: A Stylish, Comfortable Sneaker

The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Carbon" is a perfect example of Kanye West's impeccable fashion sense, crafted with an eye for detail and a knack for pushing the boundaries of footwear design. This version features a sleek, black and grey Primeknit upper, highlighted by contrasting patterns and a subtle monofilament side stripe. The ribbed midsole with embedded Boost cushioning adds a touch of comfort to these already stylish shoes.
As someone who's had the pleasure of experiencing these shoes firsthand, I can say they're surprisingly lightweight and provide excellent traction. However, I must admit that the toe box was a little tight for my taste, a minor downside that didn't take away from the overall appeal.
Overall, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Carbon" is a must-have for any fashion enthusiast or sneakerhead, standing as a testament to Kanye West's ability to make a statement with every release.

🔗Yeezy Boost 350 Moonrock: Stylish, Comfortable, and Attractive Sneaker

Imagine strolling down the street in a sleek pair of shoes, attracting eyes and compliments left and right. That's exactly what happened when I slipped into a pair of Yeezy Boost 350s. The AGAGRA/MOONRO/AGAGRA colorway, or as it's more commonly known, the "Moonrock" version, caught my eye with its unique, intricately patterned upper and matching grey sole.
The comfort level of these shoes was on another level. The woven Primeknit material and TPU sole wrapping the Boost foam cushioning made each step feel like walking on a cloud. The fit was almost perfect, and I could tell that these shoes were made to last.
While the clean, minimalist design was a huge selling point for me, I also appreciated the attention to detail in the craftsmanship. The quality control was top-notch, and the authenticity of the shoes was never questioned.
However, just like any other product, there are a few drawbacks. For one, the white soles can be a bit tricky to maintain. I found myself constantly trying to keep them clean to maintain the overall look of the shoes.
Another minor issue was the initial waiting period to receive the shoes. It took a bit longer than expected, but the satisfaction of finally having them in my hands made it all worth it.
Overall, the Yeezy Boost 350 Moonrock was an amazing experience. The combination of style, comfort, and hype made these shoes stand out in my collection. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a unique, comfortable, and timeless addition to their sneaker collection.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Beluga 2.0. As a sneaker enthusiast, I was excited to see how they compared to the original colorway. The shoe's design is sleek and minimalistic, with a Gray, Bold Orange, and Dark Grey color combo that appeals to a wide audience.
One of the highlights of the Yeezy Beluga 2.0 for me was the overall comfort. The sneakers have a responsive Boost midsole that provides excellent cushioning and support, making them perfect for all-day wear. The flat heel made them feel stable and secure, even during long walks. The lacing closure allowed for a custom fit that hugged my foot perfectly.
However, there were a few drawbacks to the shoe. Firstly, the size seemed to run a bit small, so I had to go up half a size for a comfortable fit. Secondly, some users reported issues with the shipping process, which can be frustrating, especially when waiting for a highly anticipated release.
In conclusion, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Beluga 2.0 is a comfortable and stylish choice for sneaker enthusiasts. The unique colorway and minimalist design make it stand out from other Yeezy releases, and the Boost technology ensures a comfortable wear. While there are a couple of downsides, such as the size run and shipping issues, the overall product is worth considering, especially for those who appreciate the Yeezy silhouette.

🔗Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Citrin: A Striking Sneaker Design by Kanye West

https://preview.redd.it/8dil91alij3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=118990c5c5afba7442fabd597b96db38952c25f6
Imagine slipping on a pair of sneakers that not only look fantastic, but also feel like walking on clouds. That's what the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Citrin" brings to the table. Launched in September 2019, this version of the iconic Yeezy model boasts a sleek design with its unique tan and pale yellow tints, making it a true statement piece.
The upper material, Primeknit, feels soft and breathable against your skin, providing a comfortable fit. The signature Boost cushioning adds a touch of luxury, making every step a dream. The translucent monofilament side stripes and translucent rubber midsole add an extra touch of style.
But, there's one feature that sets this version apart from others: the removal of the heel tab. It's a small change, but it adds a fresh look to the popular design.
While these sneakers are attractive and comfortable, they are not without their drawbacks. Some buyers have reported the need to order a size larger due to the fit being a bit snug. Additionally, the translucent nature of the shoe may not be ideal for those who prefer a more opaque look.
In conclusion, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Citrin" is a stunning addition to any sneaker collection, offering both style and comfort. Despite a few minor drawbacks, it's definitely worth considering if you're a fan of the Yeezy line or are looking for a unique, eye-catching pair of kicks.

Melonite, developed by Browning, offers a combination of hardness, corrosion resistance, and lubricity.

Weight

The weight of a 350 Legend BCG can affect the cycling of the bolt and overall performance. Heavier BCGs, typically between 31-33 oz, provide more momentum and can handle more rounds before needing cleaning. Lighter options, around 28-30 oz, are more suitable for competition use.

Cost and Value

Before making a purchase, consider your budget and what features are most important to you. While more expensive options may offer better performance or longevity, it's also important to find a balance between cost and value that fits your needs and preferences.

2024.05.30 06:27 SelectionLoose6530 Is there a 10mm rifle or handgun that is reliable but won't break the bank?

UPDATE (May 30): Thank you all so very much for your help. I can't believe so many people replied, and truly I appreciate each reply. HOWEVER, when I began to go over some of the info that yall shared with me, he said he changed his mind and wants an AK-47. The comments that mentioned the issues that he'd likely face with having a pistol of this caliber as his first handgun were on the nose. I just hope he never moves away from this state, or if he does, then I hope that he moves to another red state that has similar gun laws as here, LOL. I have a feeling that if he pursues gunsmithing as a career, then he'll likely end up with quite an arsenal.
This turned into quite a great conversation, and I haven't even finished reading all the comments! It has been enjoyable to read, and I've had to look up a lot of stuff mentioned. I've learned quite a bit, so again, thank you all so much. END UPDATE
I might sound naive or stupid, and please know it is because I am on both counts , so please, I ask for your patience as well as your help.
My son just graduated high school and wants a 10mm as a graduation gift. This seems more reasonable than what he really wants (full auto @ > $10k) or an AK. He says he doesn't care if it is a rifle or a handgun because he just wants a big gun, albeit not in those exact words. Here is background info to soothe any objections before anyone starts to post them:
In other words, he is familiar with firearms; however, the only pistol we have in this house is my old 9 shot .22 revolver. Honestly, I think he'd prefer a handgun. I'd like to say pistol, but I'm not sure if that is the same thing as a handgun or just a subset. Ex: My revolver is a handgun, but all handguns are not revolvers. I hope this makes sense.
The state in which we live has some of the laxest gun laws in the nation, so this isn't a real concern although I am not asking about anything that is illegal or even borderline. I simply do not know much about guns other than standard hunting rifles, standard shotguns, and my .22 revolver and similar plinking guns. Standard = what you'd expect in a home of hunters who are happy with the 2nd amendment, appreciate having guns, but are not as much gun enthusiasts as hunting enthusiasts. My son, however, seems to be a gun enthusiast. I've told him that since I can't surprise him with a gift, then I'd like to present him with some options so he can choose - this is also to help conserve cost because I know these guns are expensive, and we can't spend too much even though we know this is going to be kind of costly. Can you give me any advice or suggestions?
I also can't find much online for sale. Can you also give me any advice on reputable online dealers?

2024.05.30 06:08 Available-Ganache141 AEG Purchased and Not Returnable

I hope this is the correct subreddit. Let me know if it is not the correct subreddit. I am new to reddit. I am also new with Airsoft.
I purchased my very first AEG which is a GameFace GF76 AIRSOFT AEG. GameFace is owned by Crosman. I purchased it some months ago (not sure of the purchase date) either the beginning of 2024 or the end of 2023. I am currently 18 years old and I was 17 when purchasing. My parents were with me when purchasing and provided any ID’s if that was necessary at the time. I purchased the AEG at Academy Sports + Outdoors in Louisville, KY. It cost around $120 at the time and I’m pretty sure that it still does. I do not have the receipt to the purchase/order. The magazine broke after a few days of use after I had purchased it.
So logically I wanted to try to get a return/refund/replacement/repair. It broke due to being low quality and cheaply built. Also the plastic (polymer) was very low quality. They claimed that I could not return the product (AEG) due to it being a firearm. Here is the firearm return policy from Academy Sports + Outdoors copy and pasted: Firearms: With the exception of brands sold exclusively by Academy, all firearm sales are final, and customers must return any damaged or defective firearm to the manufacturer for warranty repair or claims. If the Airsoft AEG was a firearm it would make sense but I’m pretty sure it’s not a firearm. And therefore shouldn’t comply/follow the Firearm Return Policy. They canceled my return request physically in the same store I purchased it at.
Yesterday, I went back the store without the Airsoft AEG and they repeated the same but I didn’t have my receipt. So they told me I would be a best bet to call their customer support to acquire a replacement receipt. Today, I started with calling Crosman due to their customer support hours ending a bit early at 4:30pm. They said that they cannot do returns that haven’t been purchased directly by Crosman.
I went to Crosman because they are the manufacturer of the AEG I purchased and Academy Sports + Outdoors Employees and their return policy said the I would have to go through the manufacturer for returns. Crosman said that I have to go to Academy Sports + Outdoors for the return. Luckily, Crosman sent for me to get the replacement Magazine for the AEG. But, I would still like to return to get a different product and hopefully from a different company and retailer. Maybe a CYMA AK from Evike.
I then called the Academy Sports + Outdoors customer support number provided by the employee and to try and both get a receipt and return with further explanation that I had called the manufacturer and was sent back to them. With some fiddling with their slow repetitive customer supports they claimed that they will check for the return. They said that they had to research to find the purchase date and any other info they may need. They said it may take 24-48 hours to contact me/us back.
I made this post so that I could ask the Airsoft community if this went the correct way with Me, Academy Sports + Outdoors, and Crosman. In my opinion I did the correct thing and Crosman did the correct thing but Academy Sports + Outdoors do the incorrect/wrong thing. I do not think that Airsoft should be a firearm in their return policy. I just wanted to verify and the definition of a firearm is as follows: a device designed to be used as a weapon where a projectile is expelled through a barrel by the force of an explosion or other form of combustion. According to the definition I am in the right. I will try to update this post when I receive updates. Let me know if you have more information about this topic.
Edit: I haven’t received an email or phone call or text from Academy Sports. So I called them back today and told them the reference number for customer service. They then claimed they cannot return the AEG because it is in the category of a Shooting Accessory. This may or may not be true but it sounds a lot better than calling it a firearm. So let me know about that. You can always view the Return Policy but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to link it - in this subreddit that is. I will try to post a photo of it below in the comments. They said they emailed a return request and reference number basically saying that I couldn’t refund. They then re-emailed and then I received the new email. They eventually were able to email a proof of purchase which is basically a receipt. They also linked the phone number to Crosman Warranty Claim and Repairs. They then transferred the phone call to that phone number but Crosman was closed so nothing happened. I will try to contact them tomorrow or another day. For now, I listed it on EBAY for $100.00. Seems high but I will see what happens. If I can get a return from Crosman I will delete the listing. It seems like now, that calling them the first time did absolutely nothing for me but this time I got something out of it. Listed in the comments is a post regarding the quality of this particular AEG. I will try to update this if I call Crosman and get an answer or I sell it on EBAY.

Suspicious: NJ NICS Transactions by Day of Week (12 Month - Year 2023)
Seeking Opinions: With Hunter's help, we obtained "daily" NICS transactions data for 2023 through a FOIA request. When graphed by day of the week, the data appears as shown below. Does this seem a bit much calculated? Could it indicate deliberate throttling? I'm skeptical because consistent trends like this in firearm sales over time (by day of week) seem highly unlikely. While Mondays show the highest activity and Sundays the lowest (as expected), there's a consistent daily decline throughout the week. I also find it highly unlikely Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday sales are higher than Friday and Saturday's for example. I'm eager to hear from gun store owners and the community if these patterns resonate with your observations. Personally, I'm doubtful but open-minded. Any insights would be appreciated! (All data is available to download via the Public Records tab and I'll make a CSV file available shortly)
