Edinburgh specifically. Is there ever going to be a chance for me to see this film? Have I already missed it? Do I just have to wait for a blu ray or streaming release? We're all going to the worlds fair is one of my absolute favourite movies in recent years and I'm beyond excited for I Saw The TV Glow. I keep checking the local Picturehouse because I know they have been showing it in London but so far I'm still waiting.

2024.06.02 18:09 Flimsy_Soil Worth Upgrading These?
Pretty new to 4K collecting and am wondering if any of these are absolute musts or are definitely not worth upgrading from the blu-ray versions I already own. I've already upgraded several of my absolute favorites and these are the ones I'm on the fence about. Please let me know what you think!
- 12 Monkeys (I have the Arrow blu-ray)
- 3:10 to Yuma
- Adaptation (have the Shout Factory blu-ray)
- Bubba Ho-Tep (have the Scream Factory)
- Donnie Darko (have the Arrow)
- Hereditary
- Mulholland Dr (I already have the Criterion blu ray but if the upgrade is significant I would definitely double-dip as it's a favorite)
- Requiem for a Dream
- Tremors (have the Arrow)
- The Witch (I've heard the Lionsgate version is not good but there's another one out there which is an improvement - thoughts?)
Additionally, do you think any of these will ever see 4K releases or is it worth it to get the blu-ray now?
- Being John Malkovich
- The Machinist
- Melancholia
- Snowpiercer
- Sunshine
Edit: I watch on a 55" LG OLED TV and my player is my PS5.

2024.06.02 17:48 TimeTurner96 Review of the 5 Percy Jackson books and hopes for the tv show [PJOTV] [PJO]
I just started rereading the books and loved it!
The Lightning Thief: A fun introduction to the world of Percy Jackson. The book felt very „monster of the week“ and i didn´t get the feeling of a ongoing story like with book 2-5. I would have liked more of Chiron/Grover in the first episode (for example Chiron teaching fighting) & seeing the fates earlier and Percy earsdropping on GroveChiron could have helped build up tension/mystery imo. In genreal a longer episode 1 would have been great with more time spend an the beach with Sally etc. I really liked the time spend in Camp, it is build beautiful and felt like camp for me. I wanted to spend more time there, but didn´t feel like we need to spend more time there. But: It felt like a place one would like to visit and not so much like a „home“ for Percy. Additional to that i really like almost all the casting, i think the cast has good chemistry with each other. I only thought Sally was a bit overacted at times and Hades kind of missed the mark. I liked most of the changes (Medusa, Tunnel of Love!, Fight with Luke), but didn´t like some other (Zoo truck talk, Lotus casino, Missing the deadline). They should really work on the tension/action for the next seasons (weather changing for example), not letting the kids know everything and not shying away from darker themes of the books (Gabes abuse). I liked the themes per episodes, i just think every episode would have benefited from being longer, so more things from the book can be included. I loved how they set up Percy and Annabeths relationship with them helping each other seeing differnt „worlds“.
The Sea of Monsters: I really liked this book more than i thought i would (given it is often placed at last place in rankings). It was a fun, short adventure with a lot of good character building for Percy and Annabeth and good moments for their developing relationship. I like that we spend some more time in camp and thought C.C. Island and the Sirens scene were very good moments. The fight to save Grover was great too and i loved the Party Ponys (i need them in the show!). The twist at the end: perfect and that they helped move forward Kronos plan all along. I have to say as of right now (re-read book 1-3) that would probally be the book i would pick first for a re-read if i just want to have a fun time. I loooove Tyson!
Hopes for the TV Show: - i really hope they leave in Percys prejudice towards Tyson and his conflicting feelings about Poseidon. Maybe even tone down Annabeths dislike towards Tyson a little bit, since she was already ruder in S1 than in the book. Percy was a little bit to perfect hero for my liking so imo it could be his time to show flaws. I also think they shouln´t change too much regarding the Sirens scene or Percy/Annabeths conversations around that time in the book – really great scenes there.
- I just hope they get a good actor fot Tyson, who brings some fun/light-heartness to his scenes. I really hope they allow this season to be more fun/light hearted/ridicoulus (for example the scene were Percy turns into a guinea pig, let that be a little bit over the top). I think this season would be great for more humor (Rick said they are working on including more humor this season)
- Honestly: I hope they don´t spend to much time with Grover, i like the actor and the character. But i hope that not too much time is spend with Grover captured. If they add something interesting like the scenes with Ares in episode 5– that´d be cool, but not if it takes away from the main plot line of the season. I for example was bored during Grovers scenes in the Lotus Casiono (that + Sally flashbacks in Ep 7 were the most boring parts of the season for me)
- I need Martha and Georges lines in the show (I don´t need to see the cleaning harpies), but i hope they don´t spend too much time with Hermes. We already met him, so i wouldn´t mind if they shorten his scenes.
- I would love to have Annabeths „nobody“-scene on the island
- I would kill for Luke/Annabeth flashbacks (maybe in season 3?)
- I honestly don´t care about Clarisse that much, but i think she´s gonna play a bigger role, i just hope not too big (since shes older and could film longer)
- and Brandon Severs as Beckendorf please!
- in general: i hope we get introduced to more campers, who play a role later (Beckendorf, Selina, the Troll twins, Ethan etc.)
The Titan´s curse: I have to admit it took me longer than expected to connect to the characters compared to the previous books. I think when Percys joins the quest group after leaving CHB is when i started to get really into the story. The structure and characters just felt really differnt. I loved how Percys and Annabeths relationship/dance really framed the story. Talking about the new characters: Like i said it took me longer to connect to them, i didn´t really feel anything regarding Bianca (of course felt sorry for her, but that´s it), i kinda mixed up Zoe and Artemis sometimes and i took me some time to start to like Thalia, but i think her and Percys relationship was really well develeped (even better than Percy/Annabeth in book 1 imo). So it was kinda dissapointing when she left for the hunters at the end, would have loved to see more of her and for example Annabeth together. Her scenes with Luke were great. I also have to say that Annabeths absolutly blind faith in Luke feels kinda uncharacteristic for me. A part of me hopes they change that in the tv-series (even tho i know people would hate that xd). I didn´t like how she just watched during the last battle and would have liked it more if Chiron thought her how to control the Mist, since Thalia is already very powerful and just there for 1 ½ books. The ending scene on Olympus was really really cool and the backstory on D.
Hopes for the show: - I need „Annabeth“ by „The Happy Return“ to play during this season. :D
- They need more/longer episodes, because i want even more Annabeth/Luke/Thalia flashbacks and to see more of Annabeth (Luke tricking her into holding the sky etc.).
- I´m curios how they gonna handle Ares not cursing Percys sword.
- i think making S2 more fun(ny) and light hearted, showing us more of Percys/Annabeths bond could very well contrast a darker season 3 with Annabeth missing.
- Can´t wait to see Walkers acting in this season, it´s gonna be great. I love how he let´s us see Percys anger (which should have been Percys fatal flaw imo).
The Battle of the Labyrinth: This is one of my favourite books from the series. I don't know somehow this book had the effect on me that i expected for TTC.
• I felt like we spend more time in camp since Percy returns to camp and it takes around 100 pages till they leave camp for the quest • The tone in this book worked perfect for me. • After i really missed Annabeth in the last book, i was so happy that she has so much to do in this one. Percy & Annabeth really solidified themself as a team/potental couple in this one, even when they are fighting. It's cristal clear imo that they are gonna end up together, so i found the "romances" with Calypso/Rachel a little bit unnecessary. I would have liked if Percy/Rachel would have stayed platonic (Annabeth could still be jealous) and Calypso one-sided/bewitching Percy. Annabeth blindly trusting Luke still irks me, but i like this Luke more than the one who would kill Annabeth without a second thought in book 2 (that´s one of the reasons why i like the change to the Luke reveal in the show). I know they we're people who didn't like Percys/Annabeths behaivor in this one, but i totally get why Leah is excited for S4: The book really focuses on Annabeth: her pride/over confidence in (her) knowledge (Sphinx/Dädalus), prejeduces against others (Rachel), her jeolusy (Percy), her trust in Luke/Loyality (Percy), her relationships with Percy in general, her qualities as a group leademember in camp (for example Clarisse or Wacholder). Percy solifides his role as a leader and hero, too. I found it a little bit annoying that he saves the day so often (at the ranch for example), but i think Percys fatal flaw being loyality is kind of boring, too. • I liked the developing trusting relationship between Grover and Tyson. • In contrast to Artemis, Bianca, Zoe and in parts Thalia i really felt like going on a quest with friends with Percy, Annabeth, Grover and Tyson (<3) and in parts Nico. And while i don't really like Rachel-as-a-possible-love interest, i liked her as a character. • Loved the plot in general: Janus, the Ranch, Quintus, Hera, Nico being influenced, the sphinx.
Hopes for the tv show: After i read about BotL on here i really expected Annabeth vs. Rachel to be way worse than it was at the end. In general i LOVED Annabeth in this book (It almost feels like her book more than Percys) and i hope they don´t over-do Annabeth/Percy/Rachel. They need longemore episodes from season 3 on going forward, because i wanna see almost everything from these books come to life.
The Last Olympian: I was sceptical if this book could top book 4 for me, but it´s a tie. Tbh i did not expect this book as much as i did. After i adored BotL i thought the last book would be more about fighting (Something i find boring fast). But i loved every part of it. Everything in the book just felt right. Somehow RR managed it to have so many things happening & so many characters in this book, but it still felt like i spend a lot of time in every moment and every character got their moment to shine. It is the best paced book out of the 5 by far for me. I don´t think i would change anythink about it, even if i could. Starting with the beginnging i really felt like on „vacation“ with Percy and Rachel just to be thrown into the mythological world again, seeing the underwater palast and fearing fo camp half blood after that. I did not expect to see Nico again & for him to play such a big role in this last battle. Loved the scenes with him and Percy visiting May, who adds a tragic backstory for Luke and shows us what could happen to Rachel. Manhattan falling asleep and the battle of Manhattan we're fantastic. I loved the mixture between fights/mythology/stiller moments. Everything that makes the books so great. Percy and Annabeths moments in this book (Styx, the scene after she takes the knife for him, him turning down immortality, the end) are perfect, you feel the connection and chemistry through the book pages. I also loved how it were Percy, Grover and Annabeth in the final fight (I loved the little elevator scene). The ending felt perfect, how Rick manages it to jump from war back to camp and it still feels completly natural, is really a gift. I love that there are more books (reading HOO next, can´t wait for HoH), but it would have worked as a complete ending, too. He really wrote a suspenseful, tragic, sad and happy book at the same time without that many of my favourite characters dying. The only thing that missed the mark for me was Silena being seen as a hero (if i hadn´t been spoiled already i would have for sure suspected Clarisse as the spy, I still thinks it was very weak from her to refuse to fight).
I loved rereading these books and can´t wait for HOO (maybe i´ll read the Demigod Files before that). As someone who liked the first season of the tv show, i can´t wait for the rest of the series

2024.06.02 17:48 sumptrash HDMI "green screen" issue, but different...
I've got a green screen issue that I haven't seen anyone answer (or they may have, and my ignorance of electronics terms isn't allowing me to understand).
I'm getting a green screen on the "Y" setting (Y Cb/Pb CPr), and a black screen when I set it to the RGB setting. Normally, I run my consoles through a Blu Ray/DVD system (because it has surround sound), and then into the TV. I tried bypassing that and just running the PS2 straight into the TV, but I'm getting the same exact result. Y setting = green tint, RGB = no display. Both the BDVD player and the TV are Sony, if that makes any difference.
I've seen some posts about checking certain settings on the TV itself to fix the issue (or perhaps the BDVD player as well?), but I have no clue which settings I should be looking for, let alone which settings I shouldn't touch at all (I don't want to brick my TV by changing a setting I shouldn't).
If anyone could tell me which TV and/or BDVD player settings I should be looking for, or at least point me in the right direction, I'd be eternally grateful. You're probably going to have to explain it to me like you were talking to your Grandpa.
Thanks much for taking the time to read this, even if you can't help.

2024.06.02 17:44 kylostar In need of recommendations on what to purchase for my movie club
Hi all! I hope it’s okay to post here since I’m sort of looking for home theater equipment. I basically plan to host film screenings in different locations. Like a traveling movie club, if you will, rather than a fixed home theater. And I need recommendations on which screen and projector and speakers to buy, please!
I’ve seen people say what you buy depends on the place/room, but it’s a bit harder to figure out considering we are planning to go to different locations.
Looking for something big but not too big, easy to set up and transport without compromising too much on quality. And something that’s compatible with an Apple TV or a Blu-Ray player.
Any advice would greatly help! Also, I added the Purchasing US flair but I can buy from almost anywhere.

2024.06.02 08:33 LaughingLlamaParty Replacing denon x2200w
So I've been a happy user of x2200w for 8 years but I think it's high time for a change, mostly to use eARC, 4k120hz and perhaps improve room correction. I don't listen to music much it's more about movies, TV series and gaming. Media are either streamed or used with Sony Blu-ray player, gaming via HDMI connected windows PC.
All my speakers are Dali in 5.1.2 setup: 2x zensor 7, 2x zensor 1, vokal, e-12f sub and 2x Alteco c-1. TV is 77" LG C2.
What would you recommend? I think the highest I'd be willing to spend would be the price point of x3800h although I simply like a good price/quality ratio. I was also looking at x2800h, Onkyo 6100/7100, Sony ta-an1000 and Yamaha V6A.

2024.06.02 05:44 andytgerm Watch-Along Guide: Martin Brest
A long promised "inevitable" and cute little shorty all in one. Certainly the brest choice for the BC crew this June. We're digging into Martin Brest! As always, please consult your local library if any of these are not available to you naturally, all these movies are in print and circulation on physical media. Blu Rays abound, with the exception of the start and the end: Going in Style and Gigli are both only available in the US on DVD. And a special note that the Patreon bonus on his first two student films, the short "Hot Dogs for Gauguin" and the longer Hot Tomorrows do not have official releases out there but are available in some of the more familiar archival corners of the internet at times.
Going in Style: Streaming on Watch TCM app (with cable login) through June 7th. Purchase and rental in the usual places.
Beverly Hills Cop: Streaming on Netflix and Paramount+. Purchase and rental in the usual places.
Midnight Run: Streaming on Prime. Purchase and rental in the usual places.
Scent of a Woman: Purchase and rental in the usual places.
Meet Joe Black: Free (with ads) on TubiTV. Purchase and rental in the usual places.

My son began having pain in his feet and legs the night of his 3rd birthday. He had spent the day jumping on a trampoline and woke up screaming. I’ll never forget it. Since then, we’ve experienced three more years of random nights where he’ll wake up and come crying and limping into my room asking for help. Sometimes the pain creeps into daytime activities, but rarely. His pain is consistently in the bottoms of his feet, but also goes up into his legs and quadriceps. Primary care physicians said it was growing pains, or that he needed more salt, and more electrolytes. Those things didn’t help. We finally saw an orthopedist when he was 5 and they said it was because he had flat feet and to try buying him inserts and more supportive shoes.
When those things made no difference and a ton of X-rays didn’t show anything of interest, they referred him to rheumatology. We saw the rheumatologist last week and she talked to us about CRMO. It honestly sounds like it might be what he’s experiencing… we now have to wait for the MRI to be approved, which I’m told is usually denied and will require an appeal. His CRP is normal. Negative ANA. Has low IGG antibodies and pneumococcals. During flares he has No fevers, no rashes, no fatigue.
My boy is 6 now. And I’m just so desperate for answers. Meanwhile, my family continues to say it’s probably just growing pains. I don’t think that makes sense anymore. For one, my son is very small for his age and hasn’t grown much since he turned 3. And two, I don’t know that growing pains would go on for this long? Or occur during the day sometimes.
Does this sound like the kind of stuff any of you experienced with CRMO and on the path to diagnosis? Thanks for reading…

2024.06.02 03:01 DonFiglioni Explanations
Shared false memories are often perpetuated when one person's false memory, misquote, joke or inaccurate reference makes it into pop culture where it is seen by millions.
SHATNER, SALLY FIELD & HANNIBAL Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura calling a monacled man the Monopoly guy, or doing Shatner from The Twilight Zone, "There's... someone on the wing! Some... THING!" or imitating Sally Field in The Mask and Hannibal Lecter in The Cable Guy: these were comedic impressions, not quotes.
TANK MAN & THE LINDBERGH BABY I was recently watching episodes of The West Wing which perpetuated 2 more common MEs. Richard Schiff's character mentions people watching TV and seeing a man get run over by a tank - a reference to Tiananmen square. A woman sarcastically confesses to a crime, adding that if you search her house, you'll find the Lindbergh baby. People watching could easily remember these events incorrectly.
GHOST POTTERY Patrick Swayze was still alive during the pottery scene. Family Guy spoofed this scene with Swayze's character as a ghost, and you have probably seen similar spoofs, leading to the false memory that he was a ghost in that scene. YOU WANT SOME CORNBREAD, MR. JINGLES? Michael Clarke Duncan's character rarely interacted with Mr. Jingles and never fed him cornbread. That was a different inmate. The Simpsons spoofed this, with MCD saying "You want some cornbread, Mr. Jingles?" which is how many people remember the movie. SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR'S DRAMATIC MONOLOGUE In I Know What You Did Last Summer, SMG witnesses a murder while performing on stage, to a stunned audience who remain silent. Some people remember the audience erupting in applause. That was a parody scene in Scary Movie.
You may have seen a different version of a popular movie as a child.
PHILOSOPHER'S STONE There are 2 versions of the first Harry Potter movie. The title macguffin is called the Sorcerer's Stone in American releases, the Philosopher's Stone in UK and Canada.
AUSTRALIAN PETER PAN If you remember Peter Pan having a British accent, Tinkerbell saving him from a poisoned cake, and Smee going home to his mother at the end, the you saw an Australian version not made by Disney. This one MESSED with my head after watching the Disney version as an adult.
CALIGULA There are MANY different edits of this film based on it's country and time of release and censorship laws. Some versions include hard-core pornographic scenes which were cut in other versions. Some versions have the order of scenes mixed up. You could watch 2 versions edited so differently that the plot is not even the same. I have seen 2: one that starts with Caligula in bed with his sister, the other that starts with a hunting scene intended to come later.
BRIAN COX AS HANNIBAL LECTER? You may have seen either or both Manhunter and Red Dragon - 2 adaptations of the same novel. Manhunter came out before Silence of the Lambs and featured Brian Cox. Red Dragon was made later as a prequel featuring Anthony Hopkins. There could be many instances of people confusing originals and remakes.
If you tend to watch DVD special features, you may remember deleted or alternate scenes more vividly than the actual movie.
DON'T DROP THAT NECKLACE, ROSE! Yes, there was an alternate ending of Titanic in which Bill Paxton confronted Old Rose on the back of the ship, but it completely messed with the flow and the audience's catharsis. Bravo to James Cameron for chosing the better ending. One of my Favorite movies.
IT'S THE DIRTIEST JOKES THAT STAY WITH YOU Years after watching Team America: World Police on DVD, the only 2 scenes I remembered were a disgustingly graphic scat sex scene between two marionettes, and a scene of man-on-man oral sex that ended with the superior saying it would be hard to make his subordinate into the perfect soldier... because he's gay now. I was dismayed when I watched it a second time and both these scenes were absent. Turns out, years ago, I watched the deleted scenes in the DVD special features.
Historical films VS reenactments
HOUSTON, WE'VE HAD A PROBLEM This is the line as it was actually spoken in real life and, subsequently, in several dramatic reenactments. In the popular movie, Tom Hanks says "Houston, we HAVE a problem."
THAT'S NOT HOW THEY KILLED BIN LADEN! Shortly after it happened, you may have watched one of several dramatic reenactments of the raid, including an animated recreation of the actual helmet cam footage, which differed drastically from how it was portrayed in Zero Dark Thirty. Aside from the production quality, the reenactments were far more enthralling.
FALSE TRAILERS Yes, sometimes a movie trailer is made using whatever footage is available, before the final cut of the film is finished. Therefore, it is not uncommon for scenes from the trailer to be missing from the movie.
WATCH OUT FOR THAT TIE FIGHTER! That's right, Jyn never comes face-to-face with a TIE fighter in Rogue One, despite it being one of the most exciting shots from the trailer.
LIVE. DIE. REPEAT. Not the title of the movie. It was called Edge of Tomorrow, though you wouldn't know it from the constant repetition of the tag line in the trailer and minimal use of the actual title. Most DVD/Blu-ray releases have this tag line prominently on the cover art, so viewers know what movie it is.
SOUNDS LIKE A SEXY HAMBURGER! Seth Rogen never says this in Superbad, in reference to the fake name McLovin, but it is one of the most memorable lines from the time of the film's release.
False memories sometimes form from combining several related ones.
TINKERBELL DOTS THE I No, she doesn't. But you've seen her flitting across the screen and flicking a wand to make words appear or the castle disappear in several different title sequences. See the Disney home video one, for example.
I SEE WHITE PEOPLE! No, the line spoofing The Sixth Sense was not spoken in Scary Movie, but you DID hear it the same year. At the 2000 Oscars, host Billy Crystal did a bit where he had the camera zoom up on celebrities in the audience and he said what they were thinking in that moment. He spoke this line when the camera was zoomed in on Michael Clarke Duncan, to much laughter.
SINBAD THE... SUPERVILLAIN? Sinbad did not play a genie called Shazaam, but in 1996, the same year Shaq played Kazaam, Sinbad played a mischievous character in a ridiculous costume as the main antagonist in the Christmas film Jingle All the Way. You may have combined these 2 images in your memory.
THAT DARN CORNUCOPIA No, it wasn't part of the Fruit of the Loom logo, but it was a frequently reproduced image every kid saw in school when they learned about Thanksgiving. The 2 images were so similar that many teachers made the assumption they were the same, telling kids they may have seen it on their underwear. In fact, the cornucopia image was so common, it seems to have even been used on some knock-off brands of socks and underwear, making this MA totally understandable.
MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL... The evil queen never said it when you were a kid, but Lord Farquad did in Shrek when you were a bit older, which probably misinformed your memory of the original line.
IT'S THE EYE OF THE TIGER... Does the song make you think of the movie Rocky? It shouldn't. It was never used in the original film, only the sequels. Although Rocky's original theme music is just as iconic.
OH, NO! NOT PLASTIC SHEETS! There were none on the floor for Tommy's hit in Goodfellas, but you may be thinking of a similar scene in Lethal Weapon 2.
IS LIBERTY ISLAND A THING? Yes, it always was. You always associated it with the immigrants who came over through Ellis Island when you learned about them in school. Your teachers may not have bothered telling you the name of the island that houses the statue and you assumed it was the same. And here's something else to think about: Liberty Island is located in the waters of New Jersey, not New York.
THAT'S THE WRONG ACTOR! Meg Ryan was not Maverick's love iterest in Top Gun; she was Goose's wife. Some people made that mistake as Ryan soon became a household name and was mentioned in a lot of the film's marketing, especially for the home video release. Ben Affleck was not in Saving Private Ryan, but you have seen him collaborate with Matt Damon many times, and there was an actor named Edward Burns who bares a bit of a resemblance to him. I hope not many of you have made this mistake, but some people remember Angelina Jolie in the original Mission Impossible. It was an actress named Emanuelle Beart... thank God, since she was playing the wife of Jon Voight - Jolie's father. And of course, anyone who watched The X-Files as a kid might remember some episodes with David Duchovney as Agent Mulder, when it was really his replacement, Robert Patrick as Agent Doggett.
Sometimes, a movie or show doesn't go the way you were expecting, or you think "wouldn't this have been better" and your mind dwells on your own version more than on how it actually happened, then, years later, you only remember your version. In some cases, so many people were thinking the same thing, that when you mention your ending later, others say "Oh, yeah! That was great!"
DOLLY'S BRACES She never had any. But she did have pigtails which, like braces, are often associated with youth and feminine cuteness. Add to that the fact that Jaws had metal teeth and you were rooting for them to get together, and it would have given them some great common ground. So when she gave that slow, shy smile at the end, you saw what you wanted to see.
THEY WERE DEAD THE WHOLE TIME! That's not how Lost ended. Whine all you want, or just go and watch it again and pay attention. It was such a popular theory that people were simply expecting it. The popularity of the theory inspired the producers to give us a glimpse into the afterlife in the last season, but by the end, it was made very clear that everything that happened on the island really happened. Christian might as well have been looking directly into the camera when he spelled it out for his son. But many of you couldn't accept that your theory was wrong. If you watched the Jimmy Kimmel Live special that immediately followed the finale, you saw that even Jimmy subscribed to this theory and refused to let it go. It was a classy move for the cast to refrain from berating him about it on his own show.
AVE SOL INVICTUS! The Sun is classified as a yellow dwarf star, which is why it has always been drawn yellow. Since you were a kid, you drew the Sun with a yellow crayon. When you were older, you learned that sunlight is white light, which is composed of every color in the spectrum. White light surrounds us all the time, but we don't see it. We only see the colors that are reflected off surfaces based on their material composition. The Sun EMITS white light, but it APPEARS yellow, or orange-yellow.
That's all I've got for now. I hope I've given you lots to think about and would love to hear your responses!
