2024.06.02 20:58 CreativeNameRight An Overview of Free Composition Software

So it seems like every other week, someone posts on this sub asking something along the lines of "I'm a beginning composer, and I want a free software, what can I use?" And there's quite a few of these posts, so I'd like to throw out an overview from my experience. For context, I am an intermediate-advanced flute player (been playing for 6 years) and I have tried out quite a few notation programs. So here you go, an explanation of free music software from a beginner's POV. Some of these softwares have paid versions; I am ONLY talking about the free version's capabilities.
Musescore
Noteflight
Flat.io
What are the outputs of each software?
I decided to make a kind of "blind test" for anyone who wants to see the capabilities of each program. Have a look here.
This is one of my earlier compositions (VERY basic, but feel free to give me feedback!), and I plugged it into these three programs. Try to guess which score is from which! The audio numbers DO NOT CORRESPOND with the score numbers.
Some guidelines I decided to put in place:
Answers:
Audio: S1 was Noteflight, S2 was Flat, S3 was Musescore (with free Muse Sounds)
Score PDFs: S1 was Flat, S2 was Musescore, S3 was Noteflight
You probably were able to guess some of them based off of what I mentioned earlier, but the point is, you can start with any of these softwares and get at the very least, a functional score!
Okay, what software should I use then?
Use Musescore if: You're okay with downloading software, you have moderately good hardware, and you want as many features as possible.
Use Noteflight if: You want an online platform with as much features as possible without overwhelming you, but don't want to download any programs.
Use Flat.io if: You're okay sometimes having bad output, you need to get something done really quick and the quality doesn't matter, or if you're writing something with one or more partners.
Finally, a note about the free versions of industry standards (Dorico SE, Sibelius First, Finale Notepad): The features of these softwares are extremely limited, and to some extent are only trying to get you to buy their paid software. If you're only going to use free software and don't plan on buying any of the paid programs, I would stick with Musescore, Noteflight, or Flat. These three have more features than the "dumbed down" versions of the industry standards. Keep in mind you can always make professional-looking scores with almost any free software.
Please let me know if there are any important points I missed! I've been using these programs for 2 years, but I could have definitely missed something. I am NOT sponsored by any of these.
Cheers!

2024.06.02 20:46 FlashyZucchini FLs all over the place

Taken 4 FLs (1-4 in order, none of the free samples yet)
I went 499 -> 498 -> 507 -> 503
I don’t know what to make of this tbh. It’s an overall upward trend but the 507 -> 503 drop is pretty significant. I test 6/15. Does this seem normal? Does it seem like I’m in a position to score 510+ by 6/15? Chem/Phys is the bane of my existence, I haven’t broken 125 yet. Need help

Hi, I'm Ace. I'm a presentation designer and illustrator. I have 7 years of experience in presentation design and 9 years of experience in vector illustration. Check out my portfolio (https://aecel.github.io/presentation-design/) to look at some of my past works!
Feel free to email or DM me for other questions / comments.
FAQ:
What is needed to start the project? How does it work?
Send these to me at [sniffysloth@gmail.com](mailto:sniffysloth@gmail.com) :
  1. Your plain PowerPoint presentation with clear content for each slide (This can just be plain text or handwritten drawings, charts, graphs or diagrams. I will visually enhance it, restructure, and put in royalty free pictures, custom charts, graphs, diagrams, illustrations etc. Check out my portfolio's "More Samples" section (https://aecel.github.io/presentation-design/) to take a look at what my past client sent me and what my output looks like.)

Optional assets: Your preferred style, brand kit, color schemes, template, pictures, anything that can help me deliver what you want. Without a preferred style, I will default to my usual minimalist, clean, flat, vector corporate style similar to Facebook's Allegria style. (See my portfolio for samples)
I will give you a confirmation email and an invoice for 50% downpayment. After I receive this payment, I will start the project. I will send you the first few slides and ask for your feedback, to make sure that I am heading in the right direction. You will receive the final presentation on or before the agreed upon deadline.
When do I get the final file?
You will receive the final presentation on or before the agreed upon deadline. I would prefer a deadline that is at least a week away. For more urgent projects, please let me know immediately.
Can I request for revisions?
Yes, I can accommodate a maximum of 2 rounds of revisions. I really want to avoid these revisions, of course, so in my first final file, I will make sure that each slide is perfect.
Can you add animations to my slides?
Yes, please add a comment on the specific slide that needs an animation.
What other services do you offer?
I can make vector illustrations and logos. I can also vectorize any raster image. Basically, vector illustrations have flat color, solid edges, and can scale to any size. When you zoom in or scale them up, you will not find pixels, you will find clean and sharp edges. Some artists who use this style/format are Kurzgesagt and Olly Moss. This YSK post explains it well.

2024.06.02 18:59 Shredberry Learn guitar techniques by playing songs!

Greetings guitarists of Reddit!
I'm Drew, a guitar teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience. I'm launching a guitar learning program based on the building block principle—no traditional lessons, just "blocks" that are short songs styled after well-known tracks to drill specific techniques. For example, if you're struggling with Snow by RHCP, the solo in Sultan of Swing, or the riffs in Master of Puppets, I have blocks in similar styles, each with three difficulty levels to help you improve.
Why is this beneficial? We've all been stuck slowing down songs and still not making progress. My program breaks down challenging parts into manageable chunks, helping you improve gradually. For example, I tackled the sweeping section of Canon Rock by practicing other songs with similar techniques. This chunking principle is the foundation of the program.
Check out these sample blocks:
I'm offering a free trial run with 10 blocks developed for the songs mentioned above (currently working on Sultan of Swing). If you're interested in trying out this learning approach, please fill out the short Google form below and I'll send you an invitation!

2024.06.02 18:46 jteastbay Ok traders, tear my algo apart

Ok traders, tear my algo apart
My associate and I have developed and backtested an algorithmic trading system. I want to explain it to you, and then have you rip it apart if you can before I put actual trading money into it. We've been working on it so long, I fear I may have lost my objectivity.
A little backstory: I've been into forex algo trading in one way or another since 2009. Probably created 50 EAs during that period, all of which eventually imploded at some point. After a while, it occurred to me that EAs are simply too static in their methodology. "If X + Y + Z happens, take a trade." Then you hope those conditions happen over and over again, regardless of market dynamics.
Several months ago, I started working with a developer who had a similar point of view, and whose own ideas were finally coming to fruition due in no small part to the rise in cloud-based processing capacity. (ten years ago, you needed your own supercomputer, which was impossible for retail traders).
Anyway, flash forward, and we've got this system we call The Procedure (horrible name, but my partner insisted). It's a cloud-based processing architecture that uses multi-layered genetic algorithms and proprietary selection-refinement methods to create a unique set of Expert Advisors every 30 days, each with its own strategy for a specific currency pair.
After analyzing vast amounts of historical market data and filtering it through millions of trading strategy layers, The Procedure creates several EAs, each designed to automatically place high-probability trades, and delivers them to the desktop each month. This process repeats every 30 days, allowing The Procedure’s genetic algorithms to evolve and learn more efficiently the more it trades.
In its first backtest, the 1st Generation of The Procedure produced an Average Monthly Return of 5.16% with only one losing month in two years.
After several refinements, the 2nd generation of The Procedure produced backtest results with an Average Monthly Return of 8.54%, an Annualized Return of 164.51%, and a Max Drawdown of only 4.82% (over two years, ending April 2024). It's important to note that the backtests were performed with out-of-sample data, so it's not a matter of "self-fulfilling prophesy."
https://preview.redd.it/xef0bzjtr64d1.jpg?width=792&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c7d794bec9f91743bb8bad196bef305c7ab453e
Here's how The Procedure works:
1. Genetic Optimization-Based Strategy Generation Layer
At the foundation of our system is the Strategy Generation Layer. This layer employs genetic optimization algorithms to craft trading strategies by combining various predefined strategy elements (like indicators). Each component strategy is self-contained, with its own pre-set stop losses, profit targets, lot sizes, etc. We construct a portfolio of these strategies in the steps to follow.
The aim is to create a robust portfolio of strategies through a series of evolutionary cycles, intentionally limited to prevent overfitting. Each cycle spans five months, divided into four months of training and one month of validation, ensuring that each strategy is adaptive, viable, and based on the most current information. This layer generates a vast dataset.
2. Selection Method Layer
The next layer, the Selection Method Layer, focuses on refining and optimally selecting the strategies generated in the previous stage. This process is driven by re-evaluating the strategies at the end of each validation period to adapt to evolving market conditions. The optimization targets the validation results of sequential periods, employing a methodical approach to identify and prioritize the most effective strategies based on their recent performance.
3. Strategy Selector Layer
The Selection Method Selector Layer is where the parameters set in the previous layer are skimmed to derive consistent performance. Several key parameters influence strategy selection, including the optimization scope (windowed or full), the frequency of re-optimization, and the criteria for selecting the top-performing strategies.
This search space is left with very few self-adjusting, free parameters. This layer allows for strategic adjustments—such as selecting a certain number of top strategies for future periods—while filtering out less effective instruments that will refine the trading portfolio further.
4. Performance Evaluation and Adjustment
In this top-most layer, the system continually assesses the effectiveness of different selection methods based on historical performance data. This retrospective analysis helps in identifying the most promising Selection Method Selections in the abstract, enabling a proactive adjustment of parameters to optimize future returns. The system's design allows for agile responses to market dynamics, aiming to maximize stability and profitability.

So...what am I missing here?
Perhaps the only answer is, "Try it and see what happens." But since y'all are known for your...how do I put this...unrelenting honesty...I thought I'd throw it out there for your review.
Thanks!

2024.06.02 18:21 fosres Rules to Defend Against Power Analysis and Fault Injection Attack

I have compiled a list of rules on how to defend against power analysis and fault injection attacks
here.
Here is a summary of the attacks and defenses:
  1. Power Analysis Attack: What Is It?
    1. Simple Power Analysis
      1. Random Noise: A Simple Defense Against Simple Power Analysis
      2. Masking: A Second Defense
      3. Montgomery Ladder: A Third Defense
    2. Introduction to Differential Power Analysis and Higher-Order Analysis
    3. Defenses Against Differential Power Analysis
      1. Higher-Order Masking
      2. Blinding for Public-Key Cryptography
      3. Perform Decoy Operations
      4. Montgomery Ladder
      5. Randomize Access to Confidential Array Values
      6. Operation Shuffling
      7. Non-Deterministic Processor
Rules to Defend Against Power Analysis
  1. Apply noise by executing programs in parallel on several CPU cores.
  2. Apply masking. This can defend up to the nth-order differential power analysis attack. However, an (n+1)th order differential power analysis attack can bypass this defense.
  3. If you are programming a public-key cryptosystem such as RSA or Elliptic Curve Cryptography you can use ~blinding~ to protect the private key from power analysis attacks.
    1. You can blind the message itself.
    2. You should also blind the exponent used for encryption too.
  4. Apply Decoy operations: calculations that pretend to be authentic calculations based on secret data but are not in reality.
  5. Randomize Access to Confidential Array Values: Loop through elements of an array of secret values in random order.
  6. Fault Injection Attack: What Is It?
    1. How Practical Is It?
    2. Why You Should Still Care About Fault Injection Attacks Demanding Physical Access
    3. Voltage Glitch Attack: A Practical, Remote Fault Injection Attack Targeting Intel Systems
    4. Electromagnetic Fault Injection Attack
  7. Defenses Against Fault Injection Attack
    1. Use Nontrivial Constants
    2. Clear Variables After Use
    3. Search for Fault-Injection Resistant Implementations
In general, you can tell I really started to struggle to find techniques to defend against fault injection attacks. It is not well documented. Nevertheless my research tells me that Intel systems can be affected by voltage glitch attacks. These attacks can happen remotely and only cost ~$30 USD.
I also would appreciate any code samples of power analysis and fault injection resistant algorithms for common crypto operations. I think its a good idea we build a habit of programming our crypto APIs to defend against such attacks--especially in a world where we rely on someone else to do our computing for us (e.g. cloud computing).
Please feel free to let me know any comments you have on my recent article. Thanks!

Weekend Box Office (May 31st-June 2nd)

With May now behind us a quick update on the yearly box office. 2024 is pacing very close to last year going into the summer season being only -2% down. Which means its still down about -20% to the pre-covid and record breaking 2019.

Holywood's 2024 take so far stands at ¥2.03B which is down -6% compared to where it was at the same point last year.

Last year started out slow but then got a massive boost in May with Fast X and GOTG3. This year in turn had Dune 2, GxK and KFP4 in March and Aprill carry the weight. June however is looking bleak for Holywood this year. Last year had Fast X still doing bussiness. Across The Spider-Verse doing almost $50M. Transformers doing $90M+. Flash doing $20M+
Meanwhile this year Civil War, Furiosa, Bad Boys 4 and IF are not expected to do big numbers. At least none of them is expedted to pass 20M. Inside Out 2 is likely the only movie with a realistic chance to try for $20M+
As for the weekend. Of the back of Childrens Day 2 animation releases dominate the charts. The new Doraemon movie which is by now a stable Childrens Day release wins the weekend ahead of Garfield.
The Last Frenzy and Twilight of the Warriors both hold respectably while behind a whole bunch of next weeks releases hold pre-screenings.

Garfield dominates pre-sales for Monday but is not expected to win the day against The Last Frenzy.

Garfield

Garfield opens with a really good $8.2M and seems to have good reception. The big Childrens Day will limit its multiplier but it should try for $13-14M. Next week is quite busy with the Dragon Boat Festival however there's no animation releasing for it so Garfield might have a relatively free market in that regard if it can keep some semblance of screenings.
Audience Figures:
WoM figures: Maoyan: , Taopiaopiao: 9.6 , Douban:
A small sample size of 6k ratings but so far the movie appears to be received positively with very high 9.5-9.6 rating average on Taopiaopiao. Women make up a majority of the viewers with a 63-37% split.
Surprisingly enough the 30-40 age groups have the highest % of viewers likely fueled by parents of kids leaving reviews. People over 40 have rated the movie the best with a high 9.8 ratings average.

Dragon Boat Festival(June 10th)

Dragon Boat Festival lands on a Monday this year so its a single day holiday linked to the weekend instead of a 3 day period.
Its early June date this year which is a bit too soon for the summer season that starts at the end of the month means there's not really anything heavy hitting schedule for it but there will be a barage of small to mid sized local movies hitting alongside 2 Holywood movies in Civil War and Furiosa.
And yes Civil War has somehow lost screenings since yesterday.
On Furiosa. It has still not started pre-sales with less than a week till release which is why its not in the chart.

“Someone is coming through for you but it’s not a relative, dear.”
Genevieve could see the woman across from her was skeptical in her practice, speaking to those who had passed. She’d explained that she’d only come in out of curiosity not because she wanted a reading. And Genevieve had almost immediately heard someone for her, a sort of desperate pleading that was rare and fueled by a deep love. The stranger regarded her with a frown of confusion, fidgeting with her own hands as she glanced around the room. Tapestries hung draped across the walls while a red neon sign depicting an open palm flickered in the corner of the dimly lit space.
“He… he says to dress warmly tomorrow. To wear your long, powder blue coat and the brown leather boots you wore yesterday.”
The stranger’s demeanor immediately shifted as she glanced up at Genevieve with wide eyes, all suspicion suddenly gone and replaced by what seemed to be a mixture of fear and shock. She’d seen the look a thousand times before so she offered a warm, understanding smile as she gave the woman time to process the message. Genevieve didn’t understand it herself though it wasn’t her job to. She was simply there to act as a translator
“If he’s not a relative then how do I know him? How does he know me?”
The words were just above a whisper while she went back to glancing around the room as though she was expecting to see some sort of ghost. Again, it wasn’t anything that Genevieve hadn’t seen before. In an attempt to provide some sort of comfort to the woman as well as satisfy her own curiosity, Genevieve took her fidgeting hands and pulled them to rest on the table. Turning the woman’s delicate hands over, she exposed her palms so they faced the ceiling while her eyes traced over the lines she saw.
“He was your lover it seems. And is quite taken with you still it sounds like,” the medium explained with a fond smile. She could hear the man speaking to her, telling her about the woman across from her, about how he had waited so long for a chance to speak with her. His love for her was so obvious that it came with a sort of pain that Genevieve felt herself. It was evident from his tone alone that being unable to speak with the woman who had wandered into her shop had been agony for him.
“He likes your hair like that, up. He likes being able to see your face,” she murmured softly, her thumb brushing over one of the longer lines that ran across the woman’s palm before picking her hand up to view it more closely.
“And he says that he’d like for you to know that he’s with you often. I wouldn’t be surprised if you felt him from time too. Tends to happen when a bond between souls is that strong.” Her voice came in a thoughtful tone, her fingers smoothing over the woman’s hand to try and provide some sort of comfort but as she took in the stranger’s face all she saw was worry.
“I don’t have any lovers who have passed away.”
The confession was followed by the stranger attempting to pull her hands away through Genevieve’s grip tightened while her head turned to the left, her eyes flickering over the corner of the room where she could feel the presence radiating from. Spirits didn’t show up for the incorrect people. They never had in all of her years of practice. And then she heard it. Heard him explain where he was from.
“Where are you going tomorrow?”
As Genevieve asked the question, the knot in her stomach told her that she already knew the answer, knew why the woman had a lover who was deceased that she’d seemingly never met. She’d be meeting him soon.
“The tree maze,” she answered a bit breathlessly while searching Genevieve’s face as the medium continued to stare at the corner of the room. At the same time she answered, so did her lover, his voice breathless all the same as he spoke. ‘To meet me’.

After a break from writing and roleplaying brought on a rather miserable period of writer’s block, I’m searching for a partner to write with in hopes of undoing the unpleasant spell I seem to be stuck in:) Above is a blurb I wrote that came from the idea I’m hoping to build off of.
I’m a twenty four year old woman living in EST who has been writing on and off for eleven years give or take. I enjoy reading in my free time as well as gardening and obsessing over my cats.
A multitude of genres interest me from more modern, crime driven plots to high fantasy adventures. But romance is a common theme I enjoy including in all of my stories as I find relationship dynamics to be some of the most interesting things to explore especially when playing out in different worlds.
Today I’m looking to write something that shows two people who are from different times, making it appear as if they are from different worlds entirely. And through a woman accidentally traveling back in time, a love is born that changes history itself. If intrigued by the simple outline, I’d love to share ideas and build a full plot out together that way everyone’s interests can be included! I’m also a firm believer that constructing a plot with someone else is half the fun of a writing together.:)
If interested please be
Here’s some things I’m hoping to include in our story: -lots of angst. All the angst. -flash backs and tying the future to the past -political intrigue -an unstable land that brings our characters together through navigating difficulties -light supernatural or fantasy elements that are mainly a mystery to our characters -a history involving mythology and lore that we can create ourselves and tie into our world -a male character who is not so secretly obsessed with the fiery, strong willed female lead
If this story is one you’d like to help create, message me a bit about you and your interests as far as writing goes and please have a sample ready as well! I have my own that I’ll be happy to send:)

2024.06.02 18:07 nusohs Incoming MSECE Project Track student seeking advice

Hi! I'm an incoming MSECE Project Track international student for the Fall of 2024. I've been looking at course registrations and I was hoping to gain some advice from current or potential students.
I was originally planning on taking ECE60800, ECE60000, and ECE69500I (two core courses and another course for Project Track). I was wondering if it would be too difficult to take two core courses in a single semester? I am mostly interested in the Computer Engineering area (just not too sure about the subarea).
I'm also interested in knowing some other advice for courses and professors beyond the sample Plan of Study on the ECE website.
Please feel free to DM! Thanks!

2024.06.02 17:42 soli30 Reviews of the entire Poesie Cloud 9 Birthday/Anniversary release!

Happy Sunday, IMAM!
I received my Poesie order for their Cloud 9 Birthday collection on Friday. I wanted to give them a little time to rest before I tried them out, so this post is my first impressions review.
I want to start out by saying I have many loves from Poesie’s catalog including Soft, Madar, Amaterasu, Secret Boyfriend, Darcy, Autumn Shadows and, the inspiration behind the birthday collection, Cloud. I have sung the praises of Cloud on this sub for a long time, which is why I was so excited to try out and review this collection. I got a little caught up in the excitement, so I threw my usual caution with Poesie’s limited edition collections to the wind and went ahead and purchased 3 of the 4 new scents.
Now, the qualms I have with Poesie’s scents I think are fairly common within the IMAM community; the oils are very low throw and low longevity. As in, they disappear within an hour or two. This remains true with the scents in the Cloud 9 collection and is the reason I usually stay away from their limited releases, which are only available in oil format. In my opinion, Poesie’s EDPs have much better throw and longevity, which is why I tend to stick to the general catalog scents that are available in EDP unless a limited release really catches my eye, which is what happened with this release. I hope that in the future, limited collections will have EDP options in addition to oils because I do genuinely love the scents and aesthetic of this brand, but really don’t want to have to reapply more than once.
Now that that’s out of the way, on to the reviews! I will rate the scents based on my personal taste, as well as the accuracy to the listed notes on a scale of 1 to 5.
Cloud- (Poesie’s classic cotton candy scent).
This scent has been around for a while and I did not repurchase during this release, but I wanted to include a review of it in this post anyway. As I said earlier in the post, I love this scent! It is my absolute favorite cotton candy note. Other cotton candy scents I’ve tried have almost a cold feel to them, like cotton candy that was made a few days ago and kept in a plastic bag, but Cloud smells exactly like warm, freshly made cotton candy. It’s a very sweet, pink scent without being cloying. I have the scent in EDP format, but I also have an oil sample. The EDP lasts about 5 hours on me, where the oil lasts about 2. The EDP has a much bigger throw than the oil as well. Overall, beautiful. Stunning. Love it. 10/10 recommend.
Personal opinion- 5/5
Accuracy to notes- 5/5
Cereal Milk Cotton Candy- (Remember drinking the leftover milk from the classic fruity cereal of your childhood? Add a hint of cotton candy and you have this delicious scent in a bottle!)
I will start by saying this is by far my favorite of the 4 new scents, which surprises me because I was actually going to pass on this one. I never really understood the whole cereal milk trend that’s been popular for a few years, so this one didn’t interest me at first but I said f*** it and purchased it anyway. Y’all, this one is nice. Upon first application, I get a blast of fruity pebbles but it settles down into a milky base and I can actually start to distinguish the different fruit notes! At first it was more strawberry/cherry, but then I started to pick up on the lemon/lime notes. The cereal milk is strong and I’m not picking up any of the Cloud note. Like, at all. No cotton candy in this. Just cereal milk. Which might be a good thing, depending on personal taste. I think with the cotton candy note, it might be too sweet. The cereal milk is sweet enough on its own. Throw/longevity wise, this one is probably the best of any Poesie oil I’ve tried. I applied it about 3 hours ago and I can still smell it from a couple feet away! This one needs to come back as GC. Obsessed.
Personal opinion- 5/5
Accuracy to notes- 4/5 (yes cereal milk, no cotton candy)
Pandan Jasmine Tea Cotton Candy- (Inspired by an amazing ice cream flavor that Joelle had at a local restaurant with our beloved cotton candy note — quirky, unexpected and totally delightful!)
So, this is where the collection starts to go downhill in my opinion. This is the one I was most excited for and the most disappointed by. I don’t get cotton candy, I don’t get pandan, I barely get jasmine. It mostly smells like a slightly floral earl grey tea. There is a hint of milkiness to it, so perhaps more like a london fog. It definitely doesn’t smell bad, perse, but it doesn’t smell like pandan, jasmine or cotton candy. Which is disappointing, because I really wanted a pandan cotton candy perfume. (Sidenote- if anyone has pandan recs, I’m happy to hear them!) Very little throw, longevity is about 1.5 hours. If you want an actual london fog scent from Poesie, try Twice to Tea. It’s better.
Personal opinion- 2/5
Accuracy to notes- 2/5 (No pandan, jasmine or cotton candy)
Love Poesie #9- (Tuberose, cotton candy, and a wisp of blown out birthday candles will have you under its spell)
Unfortunately, we are still tail spinning. Once again, I get zero cotton candy from this one. Also, zero blown out birthday candle. This is a tuberose single note. There’s not much else to say. Again, it doesn’t smell bad, but I don’t personally jive with it. Tuberose is not a note that I typically like. To be fair, I didn’t purchase this one because I wasn’t crazy about the notes, but I received it as a free mystery sample. If you like tuberose, you will like this. It also redeems itself a little by having decent longevity. Throw, not so much.
Personal opinion- 1/5
Accuracy to notes- 2/5 (No cotton candy or wisp of blown out birthday candle)
Chamomile Ginger Cotton Candy-[Grown up cotton candy? Yes, please. Soothing, spicy and slightly sweet — you’re sure to smell like an elevated treat]
It’s getting sad at this point. My wallet is crying from the $60 thrown down the drain. I am crying because once again, I get zero cotton candy, zero chamomile and zero ginger. I literally don’t even know WTF this smells like. It’s vaguely tea-like in a very nondescript way. I’m definitely not getting a distinct chamomile scent. There’s a hint of spiciness, but again, I’m not detecting actual ginger. It’s kind of soapy and clean…Y’all I am literally sitting in front of my laptop right now sniffing my arm like a psycho trying to pick up on any specific notes. I honestly don’t know how to describe this. It has a smell. It smells like something. I don’t know what that thing is. Spicy, but not really, soap with a nonspecific tea note. Low throw, longevity is about 2 hours.
Personal opinion- 1/5
Accuracy to notes- ?/5 (maybe I’m just stupid idk)
TLDR: With a 25% hit rate, if you missed out on this new collection, I say be happy you saved the cash.

I feel this is too much for the first stage
Just a bit of background, I finished my A levels in 2023 and I am still trying to find an apprenticeship, I applied for Mans Group for a Level 4 DevOps Apprenticeship, anyways they got back to me after I filled in the initial application and I was awakened with a pleasant surprise.

I want to know if you think this is too much for being the 1st stage in an apprenticeship application or if I am just a lazy fuck.

All decants will come in premium bottles with metal atomisers. Shipping is flat 100 for order value of under 3k. Free for over 3k. Free sample with orders over 3k. Free decant of designer frag for orders over 6k. Due to packaging issues, it is preferable that I not have to ship individual 10ml decants. If necessary, something can be figured.
