He sucks, and I know a lot of us wanna complain about him, so lets just get this over with now.
Ruiz is a microcosm of what, in my opinion, is ruining sports discourse. He is refusing to admit that he got something wrong. I'm a Giants fan. When the Eagles drafted Jalen Hurts, I laughed and thought it was a horrible pick. Then when I saw him as a full season as a starter in 21, I for sure thought he was single handedly holding a pretty good Eagles roster back. I couldn't wait to watch the Eagles underachieve because I hate them
Then 2022 happened, and we are at a point where Hurts has to be considered a top 5 QB. He's done nothing but get better every single year, the team does nothing but win with him, and he does make the Eagles offense borderline unstoppable due to his skill set. He isn't a gunslinger like Allen or a surgeon like Brady or Rodgers, but he is very good at what he does and the Eagles tailor made the offense to get the most out of him. I'm tired of the "you put any QB in that offense they will have success" argument. Minshew started 2 games on that same team last year and they went 0-2. I hate the Eagles more than almost any franchise in all of sports, but this dude needs to get his credit and people like Ruiz refuse to see any of the progress he's made. The same can be said about Tua. Tua and that Dolphin offense have looked absolutely historic since McDaniel and Hill got there. How the fuck is he not top 10 and how the fuck is he ranked below 46 year old retired Brady? It makes no sense other than Ruiz just refuses to admit that he was wrong about Tua. I know his health is always a concern, but Healthy Tua is a top 5 QB in the league, and the stats/advanced metrics/wins back this up.
I love watching Herbert play as much as anyone, he's obviously one of the most talented QBs we've ever seen, but I'm sorry his teams have done nothing but underachieve since he's been the starter. I'm not saying he's a bum, but we keep evaluating him on what we think he's capable of rather than what he's actually done. I get the coaching he has is pretty awful, but he has come up short in big moments. I know he has a ton of game winning drives, but to me, he basically has the Stafford in Detroit problem. Who cares if he puts up all these stats and has comebacks against inferior teams but seems to always lose big games/playoff games? I want him to succeed cause I do think he's a great QB, but to have him ranked higher than Hurts (who has done nothing but in since being named the starter) is just lunacy.
As for Brock Purdy: Yes he has Shanahan, but you can argue that the Niners have been taken to a whole new level with Purdy under center. Jimmy's 2019 season was pretty good (and that roster while not as good as this one was still pretty loaded), but the Niners never looked this explosive under Jimmy. At what point do we just give him the credit he deserves? How the hell is Purdy ranked under Pickett and Fields, who both might be busts?
I can go on and on. Curious to see what everyone else has to say. Man Ruiz sucks
EDIT- I’m not sure if I did a good job making my original point. So let me clarify. I’m saying that we can only use the “Herbert would win in another situation” to such a degree. I love doing “what ifs” and arguments like that as much as the next person. But when evaluating these guys, I don’t think it’s fair to say that Herbert would HYPOTHETICALLY succeed on another team and rank him over people who have succeeded. Yes, Stafford would eventually win, but for a while there no one was putting him in the elite tier. Not to mention that football nerds (and I’m not using that term sarcastically) love bringing up advanced metrics and EPA and all that, and Tua’s advanced metrics are like the best in the league when healthy. Fine, y’all don’t unanimously agree that Hurts is a top 5 guy. I’ll give you that. But he was basically the MVP last year until he got hurt, and (again) he’s done nothing but get better every year he’s in the league. He was mediocre his first two years, but now he’s been pretty great. Sure he’s not off to a bonkers start so far this year, but his team is 2-0 and he has played well. Josh Allen was poopy his first two years, and when he lit up the league that 2020 season, he’s been a de facto top 2/3guy since. And those Bills teams were loaded. Why do we dock Hurts for this and not Allen?

- Blade Nano-QX FPV 4-in-1 - Good for beginners, cheap, built in receiver, not the best board for acro, and lvc is annoying, but it's the cheapest DSM2/DSMX compatible board available, and no configuration needed.
- Beef's Brushed Board - Very nice 32-bit flight control. Fully tunable via cleanflight, accepts sat receivers, optional hex adapter available. Moderately expensive.
- Multiflite Nano-B - My personal favorite. Quad or Hex capabilities, built in spektrum sat rx plug & bind button. Built in jst connector for ftdi adapter (no messing with boot pins). Fully tunable via cleanflight, Most expensive of the bunch.
- Micro scisky 32bit - Newest 32-bit controller. So far reviews are very positive, and it's very affordable. Quads only. Same as the Hobby King Quanum Pico
- Aflunta Clear Hubsan style props - Best hubsan style props available. Very durable. Quieter & more stable than stock hubsan props.
- JJRC 1000A Props - Ladybird style, but thicker, more flexible, and more thrust than hubsan props.
- Parrot Rolling Spider props - The most thrust, largest prop radius (73mm), & most expensive. A good match for CL-0820-15 "fast" motors.
- Nano-tech 1s 750mah Lipo - The standard for micro FPV platforms. Good blend of punch and flight time. Maybe on the heavy side for some people. Yields about 5minute flights on avg with 8mm motors and full fpv gear.
- Nano-tech 1s 600mah 35C lipo - Good lipo if you are concerned about weight. Yields about 4 minutes of flight time w/ 8.5mm motors and fpv gear.
- Nano-tech 1s 950mah 25C lipos - My choice for micro-hex builds since they have no problem carrying the additional weight. Yields 5-5:30min flights with a micro-hex w/ 8.5mm motors and fpv gear.
- RMRC 520tvl Pico Camera - 90 deg FOV. Great picture. Great for night flying, 3g, Moderately expensive.
- 600tvl micro wide angle camera - 170 deg FOV. CHEAP!!!! Not the best picture, but... CHEAP!!! You can install a 808 camera #16 wide angle lens to bring the FOV down to 120 deg. Not the best for night flying or for a really bright day.... dynamic range isn't that great... but it's CHEAP! Did I mention it was cheap?
- Altitude RC 25mw 5.8ghz vtx - My vtx of choice for micro builds. 25mw is enough to cover a full sized football field. Built in LC filter makes for a clean picture. Fatshark band only.
- FPV Hobby TX5810 - 10mw-100mw adjustable power, 50mw default. Needs a 5v step up and lc filter for reliable usage. Smallest form factor if you need to squeeze it into a tight space.
- [Oversky 200mw micro vtx](http://www.banggood.com/Oversky-MX-VTX-B-AV-FPV-5_8G-TX-Transmitter-For-Mini-Multirotor-p-954658.html] - For people who run boscam equipment.
- FX758-2 5.8G 200mW 24CH - Another popular option for boscam users. The page says 32ch, but in reality it's only 24ch. It covers both boscam high and low bands. Great if you are comfortable building your own vtx w/ a separate dip switch module, and you have a 32ch receiver.
- FPV Hobby 1g micro antenna - Soldering required. Not for use with vtx's that require a U.fl connector (i.e. the attitude 25mw fatshark vtx).
- True RC Clover Leaf - Nice, expensive, works great. Best if you buy this bundled in the RMRC Component fpv kit w/ the pico camera and altitude rc vtx.
- Apex RC nano-qx led kit - Simple to use and install.
- Hubsan 3v Blue leds
- Hubsan 3v White leds
- Hubsan 3v green leds
- I do not suggest using the Hubsan Red led's on a custom build since you need to use a sub-2v drop down. The Red led's run on lower voltage, and you'll burn them out if you connect them directly to a 3v power source. Use 5v red led's if you want to have red led's in a DIY build.
