2024.05.20 08:07 Killercombo3 Rate my INT hitless build/what should I change for my build

Playing ER on NG+ for the first time and made a hitless INT build but I'm not sure how good it is. The idea is to use almost exclusively magic damage either through spells or skill arts. These are my stats
12 Vigor
38 Mind
42 Endurance
12 Strength
17 Dexterity
80 Intelligence
13 Faith
10 Arcane
My weapons in the right hand are
Wing of Astel
Staff of Loss
Clayman Harpoon. Cold affinity Ice Spear Ash of War
In the left hand I have
Carian Regal Scepter
Staff of Loss
Dragon Communion Seal
My spell slots are
Carian Slicer
Night Comet
Adula's Moonblade
Rock Sling (For enemies with high magic resistence)
Unseen Form (for moving around when exploring)
Night Maiden Mist (To get HP to 20% for Red Feathered Branchsword to work)
Howl of Shabari
My armor is the spellblade set for extra damage with the Wing of Astel ash of war
My Talismans are
Red Feathered Branch Sword
Graven Mass
Magic Scorpion Charm
Shard of Alexander
Are there any good spells that I should be running because I have 3 more memory slots. I'm also thinking of swapping the Clayman Harpoon for the Dark Moon Greatsword to have some stagger ability/poise damage from a source other than the Wing of Astel's slow skill. Also should I swap out 1 staff of loss for a Golden Vow dagger?

2024.05.20 08:05 mathfem [LORE] The Writings of Tom Landry

Thomas Joseph Landry was a New Brunswick farmer before the flood destroyed his St John Valley farm. He claims he was present during the Battle of Fredricton when the ships of the Royal Canadian Navy fired upon the city. Many of Landry's political opponents have pointed oit that tales of the navy firing on Fredricton have bren shown time and time again to be exaggerations. However, this has only raised charges of falsification of navy records amongst Landry's closest followers.
For years after losing his farm, Landry lived under the NERC occupation of New Brunswick. He claims to have been involved in an underground resistance movement against the NERC occupation, but the only evidence of this resistance movement that has been presented was letters complaining to his friends about the 'communist backwardness' of the NERC regime.
It is already in these letters written under NERC occupation that the political thought that would become Landrism would begin to become apparent. Landry wrote time and time again about how Ronism was a foolish attempt to apply a political philosophy developed by industrial workers to an agrarian society. Landry already saw the village - the basic social unit of agrarian society - as something fundamentally incompatible with a centrally planned Commjnist economy.
After New Brunswick was returned to the rule of the Maritime Relief Agency, Landry's criticism of the Communists would turn to equally scathing criticism of the MRA's attempt at running an economy largely under centealized control. Landry would soon get involved in the Atlantic People's Party, where he would write pamphlet after pamphlet on behalf of the party. During this time, Landry directed his firey words primarily at the reigning Liberals who he felt were 'communists in sheep's clothing'. He expressed ontl words of support for the APP leaders at the time.
It was only when Landry would be elected to a seat on the Maritime Regional Assembly that he would begin to dissent from the APP leadership. Regional Premier Robert Stanfield had come from a Progressive Conservative background, and largely governed as a conventional Conservative. While Landry voted in favour of Maritime Union, he began to criticize Stanfield's approach to the formation of the United Maritimes in op-ed pieces we would be able to get published in various regional newspapers.
To Landry, Stanfield's main mistake was his desire to centralize power in the hands of the Maritime Regional Government. To Landry, the village was and had always been the fundamental unit of rural life. In the form of the feudal manor, the village had been the fundametal unit of European society right until the industrial revolution. To Landry, the urban way of life was fundamentally different from the rural one, and since the industrial revolution the main political conflict in society had been between the urban left and the rural right.
To Landry, the early 20th century had seen the final victory of the urban over the rural, of big business and big unions over the small farmer and fisherman. Landry described how the urbanites had won control of every single major government from the American Revolution to the Russian Revolution, and how ultimately, it had been the urbanites who had destroyed the world with the Great Flood of their making.
Landry described Stanfield as a 'urbanite Conservative'. A man who 'deceived the farmers and fishers into abandoning their own villages in favour of an urbanized state'. For Landry, true Conservatism meant putting the village above the country, refusing to pay taxes to a Province and Country which did not in turn look after the needs of each and every one of its villages. Landry saw the ideal relationship between a village and its Province as one rooted in the feudal relatioship between a manor lord as his King. The King would provide military protection in exchange for modest taxation, but the manor would be largely able to run its own economic affairs.
However, at the same time Landry did not advocate a return to an aristocracy as such. He admired the work that the Antigonish Movement had done in empowering the rural poor through adult education and the creation of cooperatives and credit unions. He believed that each village could function as a democratic entity, with municipal government being run cooperatively and with the local Church taking a prominent role in guiding the village.
As Stanfield approached 10 years as Regional Premier, the voice of rural backbenchers opposing his policies began to grow stronger. There was no longer any substantial opposition to the APP at the Provincial level, so the strongest criticism to Stanfield's government came from within his own party. However, in 1966, the true strength of the opposition to Stanfield had not yet become clear.

In-Game FAQ

1. When is anniversary coming?
Half-year 28 February 6AM UTC
Full-year 28 August 6AM UTC
2 Why hasn't my Pokemon evolved? It's at Level [X]!
Evolution requires an evolution item available in the Training Area (Evolution Material Area). Upon earning the Evolution Materials, you need to go to the Sync Pair Stories to trigger the Evolution Story.
3. Should I save to do 11 multi-scouts instead of single scouts?
You can now get x11 units instead of 10, so yes, but we strongly recommend you to save gems for Poké Fair or Master Fair banners (which has a higher rate for 5★ characters).
4. How many gems are required to receive a Sync Pair of my choice?
36.600 non-paid gems (or 36.300 gems + 100 paid gems for a daily single pull), which is the equivalent of 400 scout points. Scout points do not carry over between banners.
5. What does [X]/5, [Y]/20, etc mean?
When you obtain a Sync Pair, they're at 1/5 Sync Move level. Rolling a dupe of that Sync Pair, or using a Move Candy will increase it by 1 level. 3/5 is the minimum for most sync pairs to complete their full Sync Grid, but some Poké Fairs have grid expansions that require their Sync Move to be completely maxed out at 5/5 for their full Sync Grid.
At the same time, Sync Pairs are at 0/20 Potential when they're just obtained. Giving Sync Pairs Powerups will raise their Potential and stats. When a Sync Pair is given 20 powerups, their star level will be increased. Getting a unit to 5★ 20/20 is mandatory for it to further upgrade to 6★ EX (if it has one).
6. How do I Unlock The Level cap of my units?
Training Area (Cap Unlock Area), (Cap Unlock Area 2), Exchange in the shop, Events.
7. Where do I get the manuals to level up my sync pairs?
Training Area (Level up Area), Exchange in the shop, Events, random drops in Trainer Lodge.
8. How do I get Sync orbs?
Training Area (Sync orb Area), Exchange in the shop, Events, Champion Stadium Master Mode (6K & 7.5K), random drops in Trainer Lodge.
9. What are Theme Skill and how do I get items to power them up?
Theme Skill is a new ability that raises the stats of your Sync Pairs if any of them has a common position, type, region, trainer group, or other features with another pair (or pairs) in the same team. Skill Spheres, which can be obtained in Theme Skill area and Champion Stadium Master Mode, are required to upgrade them.
10. What Lucky Skill should I roll for [X]? How do I get Lucky Cookies and Scrolls to unlock a Sync Pair's Lucky Skill?
Refer to Sync Grid Builds & Lucky Skills (by u/MomoSpark) for more details.
In general, the choices of Lucky Skills follow the roles of Sync Pairs:
There are exceptions to some Sync Pairs. For example,
Lucky Cookies and Lucky Scrolls can all be obtained in Battle Villa (Single Player & Co-op), Blissful Bonanza, and Legendary Gauntlet. Legendary Gauntlet can provide unlimited 3★ Lucky Cookies as well as Deluxe Cookies exclusive to that mode after each successful stage clear, and their drop chance increases with longer win streaks.
11. What are the Sync Move effects of 6★ EX Sync Pairs of different roles? Who should I promote to 6★ EX first?
Each role gives different effects to Sync Moves when upgraded to 6★ EX.
Support is usually prioritized for promotion to 6★ EX because its EX effect effectively doubles the damage of all allied sync pairs after first sync and is more widely applicable across most game modes, and the increased stats from raising the support's Potential greatly enhances its bulk to tank stages.
For Strike, if its kit has a very high DPS (e.g. SS Red & Charizard, Diantha & Gardevoir, etc.), or includes a powerful Sync multiplier (e.g. Steven & Metagross's Haymaker, Barry & Empoleon's Inertia, etc.), you are highly recommended to upgrade it to 6★ EX to apply the damage to all opponents. This applies to Tech as well, but only if the unit is a Sync nuker (e.g. Marnie & Morpeko, May & Swampert, etc.).
Since Field applies a field effect that can boost its own damage and potentially that of its allies as well, upgrading it to 6★ EX is also recommended. Sprint enables faster sync buffs and usually come with innate Sync Move multipliers like Tech, but its EX effect does not improve damage as directly as the other roles.
Promoting Support-type units to 6★ EX is not a must, but it's always an added bonus, especially if their Sync Move can provide any additional effects via passive or grid skills.
Always remember to upgrade Rosa to 6★ EX because the materials are obtainable for free.
12. Which Sync Pair should I use my candy on?
Refer to Which Sync Pair Should You Give Your Candy To? (Infographic) (by u/MuddyDummy) for more details.
Always save your candies unless the Sync Pair is exclusive to Seasonals, Poké Fairs or Master Fairs. Most Sync Pairs are usable at 1/5. You can always "accidentally" pull the unit you've been looking for from the normal pool, but you never know when limited Sync Pairs will rerun again. This may not apply to Sync Pairs that are your favorite.

Common Technical Questions/Errors

Below lists all common technical errors you may encounter during the game, as well as how you can fix it. You are strongly encouraged to contact DeNA with any problems at [support@pokemonmasters-game.com](mailto:support@pokemonmasters-game.com) if any of these advice do not help.
  1. Error 20103 — Please check your connection and try again: Usually caused due to lack of connection or sudden disconnection. Try playing the game in a place with more stable connection.
  2. Error 10102 — An error has occurred. Restarting the game: This error is often triggered because it detects your phone is rooted, or that you are using external applications which allows opening multiple accounts on the same device. For rooted phone users, make sure you hide your rooted status.
  3. Game crashed mid-battle: Restart the app and clear your cache. This option is available in the bottom-left corner of the title screen.
  4. Does Pokémon Masters work on emulators? No. As of now, PM is not compatible with any of the emulators (including Bluestacks, Nox, etc.) However, playing two accounts on the same device is possible on Android by cloning with Island.

2024.05.20 07:50 CrinkleDink House Renart, Part 2: The Death of the Fox, and the Birth of the Dragon

House Renart, Part 2: The Death of the Fox, and the Birth of the Dragon
Part 1: https://www.reddit.com/CrusaderKings/comments/1crfhjs/so_i_played_the_box_art_dynasty_house_renart_here/
King Oldrik, King of Poland and Pomerania, had a long and successful reign. With his defeat of the northern pagans, House Renart believed it could conquer the world. However, it would be internal strife that would nearly lead the House to destruction...

King Wielslaw, King of Poland

To every dynasty, there is always a weak link. King Oldrik chose his heir poorly.
King Wielslaw (March 31st, 1139 - 25 of August, 1181) was King of Poland from 1177 until his death in 1181. He had barely any children, as his father’s inbreeding led him to having infertile loins, having very few children.
In life, he was a stubborn, arrogant man, but was oddly compassionate in his ways. He was known to be handsome in life and was fairly intelligent. He was skilled in theology and the matters of law and land, as well as history. However, he had a heavy drinking problem which would evidently lead to his demise, as well as disease.
As a prince Wielslaw, the youngest of his brothers, was granted the Duchy of Veletia in 1153 as his father was preparing him for rule. There he ruled for some time until his father Oldrick I died. He would ascend to the throne of Poland in 1177 while his brother Wielslaw became King of Pomerania, splitting the realms into two.
The same year, King Wielslaw went to war against Queen Darya of Volhynia, taking the southern provinces. The war lasted for two years, with the queen being defeated in March of 1179.
In 1180, King Wielslaw went around the country to enact justice and enforce taxes on his vassals. This proved to make him unpopular with the people. However, it did allow him to draft a
Wielslaw came to King Mieszko's defense against Stammesherzog Dethard's attempted de jure war of Duchy of Anhalt in 1181. This would lead to a swift victory. However, as he was fighting in Anhalt, a great disease of Bloody Flux spread throughout the land. King Wielslaw, while leading his troops in the camp, caught the disease and grew very ill. He began to drink during this time, and while drunk, he named his younger son, Oldrick, his new heir, while his eldest son, Sulistryj, was disinherited, due to murdering a man during a duel. He died on the 25th of August, 1181. A courier went out to Krakow to declare the young prince Oldrick as the new King of Poland, which shocked the court.

King Oldrick II, King of Poland

Tragedy befell this scaly yet innocent young king! From the drunken lips of his foolish father his fate was unfortunately sealed.
Oldrick II (May 6th, 1177 - January 3rd, 1186) was the King of Poland from 1181 to his death in 1186. A mere child who came upon the throne due to his father’s drunken final will, Oldrick saw a great civil war overtake his lands. His uncle, King Miezko of Pomerania, though having an alliance, schemed against him, and would ultimately take his life.
Throughout his reign he dealt with a civil war for his throne, led by his vassal Duke Uściech Lewiki in 1182. He had little power, though his most significant act was restoring his brother Sulistryj’s inheritance to become next in line for the crown of Poland. This hurt the plans of King Miezko, who was feigning his loyalty to the boy when fighting the civil war.
However, Oldrick II would be assassinated by King Miezko through poisoned candy, leading to his brother, Sulistryj, to take over the throne.

Sulistryj I ‘the Beautiful’, King of Poland and Pomerania

Vengeance to a brother's honor, and with a tongue as sweet as honey, his reign was unfortunately cut short by the thread of fate.
Sulistryj I (July 20th, 1156 - October 13th, 1214) was the King of Poland in 1186, and King of Pomerania in 1188, until his death in 1214. The eldest son of King Wielslaw, he saw support for his tenure on the throne of Poland after the death of his younger brother and proved to be a very capable diplomat.
Sulistryj would be the last member of the pure House of Renart. When he did, his uncle Dobromir Renart-Glogow would usurp power in the family. In life, he was rumored to be an atheist, and he had murdered a man in a duel. However, he was also known for being a very handsome man and intelligent, and well read and practiced in matters of diplomacy.
Sulistryj, before he was king, was notable for defeating Duke Usciech. During the civil war, he commanded a battle against the duke at the Battle of Gniezno on the 19th of April, 1183. The duke would surrender to King Oldrick II, and would then be beheaded and his lands stripped, delivered to Sulistryj who regained his right to inheritance.
Three years later, in 1186, his brother Oldrick II would die mysteriously. Sulistryj had suspected his uncle Miezko was vying for the throne of Poland and had him killed. And indeed, Miezko had sent a delegation to declare his rivalry with Sulistryj at the beginning of the summer, declaring his claim to Poland was truer. Sulistryj knew what was coming: an invasion.
To act quicker, Sulistryj quickly rallied his hosts and vassals outside the borders of Pomerania, and on the 5th of July, 1186, he declared himself the rightful King of Pomerania just as Miezko was on pilgrimage towards Rome. King Miezko quickly returned, not expecting such a bold decision from his nephew. A series of engagements would take place in the province of Nordmark, leading to a few staggering defeats for Sulistryj, including at the Battle of Ukkria. However, though the Pomeranians won the battle, King Miezko was severely injured. His son, Oldrick, would take over the front of battle.
And yet, from the south, King Otakar of Bohemia, seeing a moment of opportunity, invaded the next summer on the 4th of June, 1187, trying to take the lands of Lubben against King Sulistryj.
King Sulistryj grew nervous of the Bohemian invasion. However, come December, as his troops were making camp in the winter, he received news from a courier: King Miezko was dead. He had died from injuries sustained at the Battle of Ukkria.
The Battle of Strassburg (April 10th, 1188) would be the final engagement between the two kingdoms. King Sulistryj confronted King Oldrick II of Pomerania at the battle. By this point, Pomerania had grown exhausted and morale was terrible, and they were outnumbered. With Oldrick II’s rule being unfavored, the armies of Pomerania found themselves quickly overrun by the Poles. King Oldrick was defeated, and gave his crown over to Sulistryj.
The following year, in January, however, Oldrick II rebelled against, declaring his sister Princess Luitgard of Osterland was the proper queen of Pomerania. A quick skirmish took place in February of that year, leading to a white peace between the rebellious Oldrick and the king. He then began a claim war for the crown of Pomerania once again, the following year in 1190. He was once again defeated, and because of his constant rebellion, had his titles over Pomerania stripped and was beheaded.
In August of 1201, a Grand Tournament was held in Poland, the first of its kind in the land, under King Sulistryj. Here, the king himself won the Melee and Archery contests.
In 1209, Duke Krystyn of Veletia became a rival of King Sulistryj and declared him an illegitimate ruler. In December of that year, he began a rebellion of dethronement against the king. A year of small skirmishes and chasing took place, until the duke was defeated at the Battle of Gottingen on the 18th of December, 1210. The Duke would be imprisoned, his titles revoked, and executed. The king gave his second eldest son Sulistryj the title.
Then, in 1213, King Sulistryj decided to go on pilgrimage to the city of Cologne with his eldest son Oldrick. They began their journey in January of that year. However, a great plague overcame the city of Consumption. When Sulistryj arrived, he and his son grew ill. They finished their pilgrimage at the church of Cologne, and were quickly delivered home by their servants. However, when they arrived in October, the king, nor his son, was recovering from their sickness. King Sulistryj grew worse, and would pass away, leaving his eldest son Otger to inherit the throne of Poland, while his son Sulistryj became King of Pomerania.

King Otger II ‘the Sickly’

Alas, many tried to save his reign but it would be the woes of plague that did him in. And thus the House of Renart would die with him.
Otger II (October 25th, 1204 - June 2nd, 1217) was the King of Poland from 1214 until his death from consumption in 1217. His reign saw a great era of instability within the land. Historically, Otger II was the last king of the proper Renart dynasty.
When he became king, the sudden death of his father caused opportunistic vassals to favor his great-uncle and grandfather, Duke Drobomir of Silesia. Though Duke Drobomir swore loyalty to the line of Sulistryj (his nephew) he secretly schemed to take over the throne. Duke Drobomir conspired the vassals of Poland to turn against the young king.
In the second year of Otger’s reign, Count Janusz Halicki of Kalisz led the dukes and counts of Poland in rebellion against Otger, declaring that Duke Drobomir the true King of Poland. They marched out in April, heading toward the capitol. Count Janusz went ahead of the army. Meanwhile, King Otger’s brother, Sulistryj, rounded his armies in support of his brother, as well as the armies of England.
On the 21st of October, Count Janusz entered Krakow and went past the guards. He made an attempt on the life of King Otger, but the loyal and brave Duke Powel of Rzepin saved the life of the king. Janusz was captured from his attempt just as the Polish armies defeated his army outside of the city. Thus the count was captured, and the rebels defeated. The civil war ended there, but things were still growing unstable in the realm.
Alas, the king grew ill further through the winter, his Consumption worsening. His condition grew dire, and his physician was unable to cure him, only ease his woes. Duke Drobomir was expecting to be in line for the throne. Instead, as his last act, Otger declared his brother Sulistryj would become king in his place. Duke Drobomir was insulted by this act, and as the king was dying, he quickly made himself the head of House Renart with his own cadet branch, the House of Glogow.
King Otger died in June of 1217, at the age of 13. Meanwhile, Drobomir began a new faction to install himself as King of Poland…

Emperor Sulistryj ‘the Wend’ of West-Slavia

Though the fox dies, rising from the ashes will be a mighty dragon of the east.
Sulistryj II (June 5th, 1206 - September 10th, 1283), known as “the Young”, the “Confessor”, but most notably “the Wend”, was the King of Poland and Pomerania from 1217, and the eventual Emperor of the West Slavs in 1255, until his death in 1283. Inheriting the throne from his older brother at the age of 11, Sulistryj ruled from an astounding 66 years, in which he united the west slavic kingdoms of Pomerania and Bohemia and unified the West Slavs into a single Wendish empire.
He inherited the throne of Poland after the death of his brother Otger. He was beforehand ruling as Duke of Veletia and the King of Pomerania. When he became King of Poland, he had little power over his kingdom, for his uncle, Duke Dobromir ‘the Handsome’ of Silesia, became his regent. The Duke had expected to take over the throne from his nephews, but instead, Sulistryj was crowned king, leading to a damper in his schemes.
Duke Dobromir, as the grandfather of the king, became the head of the household and quickly began to take more powers from the king, ruling in his place and becoming head of the House of Renart. With Otger II dead, and Sulistryj’s mother being Dobromir’s daughter, and the remaining Renarts dead, Dobromir declared the house of Renart extinct.
The Renarts are dead. Long live the House of Glogow!
This went against the will of Sulistryj, who stripped Dobromir of much of his regnal powers. Dobromir threatened rebellion in 1221, seeking to claim the crown of Poland for himself. He schemed to kill his grandson, hoping to put his own direct son, also named Dobromir, onto the throne.
Dobromir proceeded to try and kill the young king when he was studying at the University of Krakow. The attempt was quickly discovered and thwarted by Duke Powel of Rzepin, once again loyal to the king as spymaster and bodyguard.
The following year, Sulistryj was finally coronated as he reached the age of 16. There, King Sulistryj II announced himself as the “first of the House of Glogow” in spite of his grandfather. He took over the Renart dynasty and disinherited his grandfather, destroying his son’s claims to the Kingdom of Poland. But still he schemed, as he knew it could be restored if he took the throne.
A house divided against itself shall not stand!
To ensure confidence in his rule, Sulistryj pressed his bassal Czcibor’s claim to the Duchy of Ostfalen in 1222, and then married Maria of Norway. He would win the duchy, taking it from the Emperor of Germany at the time.
However, not all were confident in the rule of King Sulistryj, as Duke Dobromir continued to plot against his grandson. Count Alexander Kujawski rebelled against the king in 1229, but he was swiftly defeated and executed for his crimes. King Sulistryj proved to his grandfather that he was not willing to mess around. Dobromir tried to flee as the remaining rebellious counts were imprisoned, but he was captured.
Dobromir was imprisoned, and by coercion was forced to give up his claims to Poland, and then was disinherited and dethroned from Silesia. Out of compassion, Sulistryj spared his grandfather, as the chronicler wrote in “The History of the Wends” the following:
“King Sulistryj declared, ‘The Renarts have died, but the blood of Glogow will not be severed. You shall have a place in my house, until the end of your days. As it is, I rule as a son under your blood.’”
Thus Dobromir would remain in Krakow as a servant of his grandson, until the end of his days in 1232, where he died from drinking. Thus his legacy, despite his reportedly loving nature (despite his treachery, he did care for his grandsons as they grew up fatherless) he was still viewed as a traitor and usurper. Thus he has become a figure of plays and songs in the West-Slavic culture. His most prominent appearance, and basis of much fiction, was in the “Song of Renart” in which he was portrayed as a scheming traitor.
During this time, legend spread that King Sulistryj had slain a dragon. He gave into the story, proclaiming himself a mighty dragon slayer and that he, too, would slay the enemies of the Poles. This brought him great praise throughout the land.
The following year, 1232, Queen Maria would die in childbirth as she gave birth to her daughter Jadwiga. She had three children with Sulistryj. King Sulistryj held a funeral for both her and his grandfather, mourning their loss. The same year, King Sulistryj would remarry Rognfrithr of Denmark. She would birth his eldest son Dalimir in 1234, and Dobrogost in 1237.
Now King Sulistryj was well read in the histories of Poland. Though he knew was of German descent, he began to read of the Wendish tribes of Germany many centuries prior. He remembered that once his family had held titles in Northern Germany. He began to see himself as a great unifier of his house’s ancestral claims, and the claims of the west slavs. He also believed the Holy Roman Emperor was a threat to his power over the region. Therefore, Sulistryj grew a vision of a Wendish Empire, of German and Pole, to secure his realm.
You were useful, Teutonic Knights. However, I have a mighty need to unite the West Slavs!
He declared war against the Teutonic Order in 1240 as he recaptured the Duchy of Pomerania. The Grandmaster was defeated at the Battle of Szczytno in 1241, and King Sulistryj II saw victory a few months later in January of 1242. The same year, King Sulistryj invaded Anhalt and captured it, fighting Kaiser George’s for the duchy and ultimately defeating him on November 6th of 1245.
Two years would pass, as Sulistryj began building castles and fortresses across Poland and in particular Krakow. Then in 1247 he invaded the duchy of Pomeralia, held by the Teutonic Knights. He would capture Grandmaster Ekbert’s son Warren at the Battle of Gydnia and lead the Teutons to once again losing land to the Poles. The Teutons were driven completely out of the Pomeranian lands.
King Sulistryj would claim himself as the proper Duke of Bohemia and Moravia, as they were once West Slavic holdings, as well as Duke of Meissen. He made an alliance with the King of Hungary, the Emperor of Francia, and the King of England, to take on the much larger and vast Holy Roman Emperor. Kaizer George had conducted diplomacy with King Sulistryj II prior, and so felt betrayed by the king as he invaded central Germany and Bohemia in 1250. King Venceslav of Croatia came to the assistance of the Kaizer. This began what chroniclers called the War of the Wend.
Hopefully the Pope doesn't bother to check the actual historical claims over this... He doesn't need to know what the King may or may not have made up. ;)
Sulistryj led the Polish armies by himself and first attacked northern Bohemia while the emperor tried to attack Francia. The English and Polish armies raided throughout Bohemia. They would be confronted by King Venceslav at Unicov on May 4th of 1252, who attacked the English armies, but the Poles came to the defense of the English and defeated the Croatians, who fled.
Prague was overtaken by the Poles and English as Kaiser George finished defeating a rebellion near his capitol. The German forces marched into central Bohemia, with their army being led by the Kaizer himself. On the 24th of July in 1254, the Germans and Croatians faced the French, Polish, and English forces at the First Battle of Prerov, leading to a very close battle. King Peter IV of England managed to change the fate of the battle with his longbowmen routing the Germany cavalry, allowing the Polish cavalry to break through the German ranks.
There would be a few losses. The Poles lost a battle to the Croatians at Brno, and the English and French lost engagements at Leipzig in the same year.
A second full engagement happened outside of Stribro on the 3rd of November. The Polish forces used the Mze River to fortify their position, routing the Germans once again. The Polish armies wintered there, while the French and English wintered southward of the city. During this time, the Livonian Knights came to the assistance of the German emperor. They moved through the winter towards Prerov to try and retake the city. The defenders fell, and the Livonians moved into the castle.
In February the Polish forces came to the defenses of city of Prerov. initiating the Second Battle of Prerov. They would find themselves suddenly ambushed by a hidden German force, led by the Kaizer, who attacked the outnumbered Poles. However, the French and English troops arrived a week later as the Polish forces held their ground in the castle. With their defense, King Sulistryj managed to push back the Livonians and Germans, forcing them to route, leading to a Polish victory on the 16th of February.
A final battle took place outside of Prague as the Polish forces began besieging the city. The allied forces of Germany, Croatia, and Livonia faced off against the Polish, the French, and the English. The Battle of Prague was close, with King Sulistryj II being injured in the battle. However, as he recovered, he learned that the Germans routed, and that the city of Prague surrendered to his forces. The Polish had won.
And so, a dragon rises from the ashes of the fox.
The Treaty of Prague (July 24th, 1255) led Kaizer George to concede the lands of Bohemia and Messien to King Sulistryj II, and that he would be recognized as the king of those lands. Pope Honorius II came to the city in August to crown King Sulistryj as the Emperor of the Wends.
Peace was not long, as the Emperor went to defeat the King of Galicia-Volhynia in the same year and made him swear fealty to his power as King.
For his act of uniting the Western Slavic kingdoms, Sulistryj began to be known as “The Wend”, and legends spread of his great victory. This followed him south toward Jerusalem during the 5th crusade as the Polish armies fought the Ayyubids, but ultimately saw defeat in the crusade.
In 1272, to consolidate his realm, Emperor Sulistryj subjugated Grandmaster Klukis ‘the Leper’ of the Teutonic Order and forced him to become a vassal.
The emperor in his old age.
The rest of Emperor Sulistryj’s reign was relatively peaceful. He was known for his pious works and had his chroniclers write “The History of the Wends” to solidify his dynasty’s power over the region. He also built many castles and hosted a grand tournament. The Duke of Frisia did try to kill the Emperor, as he once was the King of Bohemia before it was invaded. However, this was thwarted. His second eldest son, Dobrogost, would die of Smallpox in 1283. However, with the usage of primogeniture law (put into effect by decree of the emperor), succession remained safe.
Emperor Sulistryj would die in his sleep on the 10th of September, 1283. He had a long and successful reign, and would forever be immortalized as the Wendish King who reclaimed the ancestral lands of the Poles from the Germans.
And so, West-Slavia is born.
We end our chapter with a new house. The Renarts saw their last ruler in Otger II, leaving the dynasty in shambles. And though the new House of Glogow was born in the same treachery of the Fox of Renart, it would find itself becoming ferocious and noble through the reign of Emperor Sulistryj!
Emperor Sulistryj's rebranded CoA: \"As cunning as a fox, as fearsome as a dragon.\"
End of Part 2. The Renart dynasty currently holds many duchies within the HRE, but lost Zaphoriza. It remains it's most powerful in the West-Slavic Empire.

Preparing for Chartered Accountancy (CA) exams is a challenging process, but with the right strategies, you can excel. Here are some important tips to enhance your exam preparation:
  1. Gain a Deep Understanding of the Syllabus
Start by thoroughly understanding the syllabus. The CA exams cover a broad range of topics, especially at the Final level. Utilize CA Final Books to break the syllabus into manageable sections and highlight key topics and their importance. These are valuable resources for prioritizing your study schedule and focusing on significant areas. By referring to CA Final Books, you can ensure that you cover all essential topics thoroughly and systematically, aiding in a comprehensive preparation strategy. Make your primary resource for an organized and effective study plan.
  1. Develop a Practical Study Schedule
Make a well-organized and practical study schedule. Assign distinct time periods to every subject to guarantee thorough coverage of the syllabus well in advance of the tests. To avoid burnout, schedule regular breaks within your daily study schedule. It's important to follow your plan and be consistent.
  1. Select High-Quality Study Resources
Choose high-quality study material such as ICAI study modules, practice manuals and revision test papers (RTPs). Additionally, use standard textbooks and coaching class notes if available. Avoid overwhelming yourself with too many reference books, as this can cause confusion. Implementing a study material for CA books can help you prepare more efficiently and cover all the required material.
  1. Solve Previous Years' Question Papers
Using CA Intermediate Books and practicing with past years' question papers are essential for a successful CA Intermediate exam .These resources help with improving time management abilities and understanding the format and kinds of questions on the exam. Make the most of your exam preparation to analyze your performance, identify your areas of weakness, and improve your confidence.
  1. Focus on Conceptual Clarity
Emphasize understanding concepts rather than rote learning. Ensure a solid grasp of fundamental concepts in each subject, as this will help in both theoretical and practical questions. Spend extra time on difficult topics until you thoroughly understand them.
  1. Revise Regularly
Regular revision is essential for retaining information. Allocate time for periodic revision, either weekly or bi-weekly. Summarize each chapter in your own words and create concise revision notes. These notes will be invaluable in the final days before the exam, ensuring thorough preparation.
  1. Join Study Groups
Participating in study groups can be beneficial for discussing challenging topics, sharing resources, and staying motivated. Group studies encourage active learning and help in quick clarification of doubts. Ensure the group remains focused on studying.
  1. Prioritize Physical and Mental Health
Good health is essential for effective exam preparation, especially for CA beginners. Prioritize your well-being by getting adequate sleep, maintaining a balanced diet, and incorporating physical activity into your routine. Practices like yoga or meditation, along with CA foundation books, can help reduce stress and enhance concentration, ensuring optimal performance during exams.
  1. Take Mock Exams
Regularly taking mock exams helps simulate actual exam conditions and improve time management. Analyze your performance in these tests to identify weak areas and work on them. This continuous self-assessment builds confidence.
  1. Maintain a Positive Mindset
The CA journey is challenging, but a positive attitude can make a significant difference. Set small, achievable goals and reward yourself upon completion. Surround yourself with supportive people who motivate you to stay focused.
Conclusion
Success in CA exams requires a blend of strategic planning, hard work, and strength. Using the CA entrance exam books will help you prepare even more. Recall that all chartered accountants have encountered these difficulties; with the appropriate strategy, you too may succeed. Remain committed, driven, and self-assured. Wishing you luck!

2024.05.20 07:35 Tight-Round-5100 Leg behind the head and lower back pain + solution

Last Thursday I got my leg behind the head for the very first time and then the following days my lower back was super sensitive. It didn't feel like I pulled something or like something was out of place, more like the whole area had been stretched like an elastic. During my practice on Saturday, upward-facing dog was very uncomfortable, urdhva dhanurasana and dropbacks impossible. I felt like an 80-year old.
Yesterday it felt a little better but still off. Instead of more ashtanga, I did one of the old Jillian Michael videos I have had for 10 years now: No More Trouble Zones. It focuses on strength: most exercises are with weights and there are also 3 circuits focusing on the abs.
Today, the pain in my lower back is gone (my arms and shoulders are sore but it's a good kind of sore). I think some physical activitity without stretching, without backbending, just strength really helped. I thought I would share because when I looked up 'ashtanga' + 'lower back pain', all posts were about leg behind the head. It's good to know that switching it up and focusing on strength/ab engagement can help to relieve that discomfort, and that just one session can help already.

2024.05.20 07:34 Street-Fill9717 Zodiac Wheel: I Need Help.....

I'm trying to do a Zodiac Wheel (since i'm new to Tarot cards), and here's the order I drew the cards.
  1. The Empress
  2. Strength
  3. Ten Of Cups
  4. King Of Cups
  5. Two Of Swords
  6. Death
  7. The Shadow Side
  8. The Hermit
  9. Ace Of Chips
  10. The World
  11. Justice
  12. Temperance
And for the main card (the one in the middle), I got the Hanged Man. That being said, i'm a Leo, and I hope I did this right, but I don't get it. How do I know what this is all supposed to mean? Characteristics? Potential outcomes? Present situations? What? Like what am I being told here? I know it's just a card game, but i'm genuinely lost. Someone please explain how i'm supposed to figure this out. I should note i'm asking HOW I find the interpretation, not an in-depth interpretation. I say that, cuz my last post was removed for a post exactly like this over "in-depth Interpretation requests not being prohibited," even though that's not what I was asking, but.....fuck me I guess. Anyway, if y'all could help me figure this out, that'd be awesome.

2024.05.20 07:29 Honor_post May's Market Moves: FPIs Sell Rs 28,242 Crore in Indian Equities

May's Market Moves: FPIs Sell Rs 28,242 Crore in Indian Equities
Foreign Portfolio Investors Shift Focus Amid Market Uncertainties
May has seen significant activity from Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) in the Indian equity market, with sales reaching Rs 28,242 crore ($3.38 billion), marking the largest sell-off since January 2023. This trend reflects a strategic shift as FPIs reassess their positions in the wake of various global and local factors.
Sensex ends 383 points lower at 57300, Nifty closes just shy of 17100; M&M top gainer.
The Numbers Behind the Sell-Off
According to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL), FPIs sold Rs 26,020 crore worth of Indian equities up to May 17 in the current calendar year. Comparatively, last January witnessed an even larger offload of Rs 28,852 crore. In the cash market specifically, foreign investors sold Rs 35,532 crore through May 17, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) counterbalanced this with purchases amounting to Rs 33,973 crore.
Factors Driving the Sell-Off
Several key factors are influencing FPIs’ decisions. Firstly, the ongoing general elections in India have introduced a level of uncertainty that makes the market less attractive in the short term. Additionally, FPIs are diverting funds to the Chinese market, where valuations are perceived as more favorable.
“The main trigger for the FII selling has been the outperformance of the Hong Kong index Hang Seng, which surged by 19.33% over the last month. FIIs are moving money from expensive markets like India to cheaper markets like Hong Kong, where the PE ratio is around 10 compared to India’s 20,” explains V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services.
Market Volatility and Election Uncertainty
The election period has led to increased volatility in the Indian market. This is evident from the recent rise in India VIX, a volatility index, which has crossed the 21-mark. Such levels indicate a high degree of market uncertainty.
“This shift in FPIs’ behavior is not a random occurrence. It is a direct response to the ongoing geopolitical crisis in the Middle East, relative valuation discomfort, and the strength of US bond yields,” notes Vipul Bhowar, Director of Listed Investments at Waterfield Advisors.
Future Outlook
Despite the current sell-off, there is a silver lining. Vijayakumar suggests that the outcome of the general elections could significantly alter FPI equity flows. “Political stability will attract huge inflows,” he asserts, highlighting the potential for a positive turnaround if the elections result in a favorable and stable political climate.
FPI Activity in the Debt Market
On a brighter note, FPIs have been active buyers in the Indian debt market. So far in 2024, they have net bought Rs 45,087 crore and an additional Rs 7,040 crore through the debt-VRR (Voluntary Retention Route), according to NSDL data.
In conclusion, while May has seen a notable exit of FPIs from the Indian equity market due to a confluence of factors, including election uncertainties and attractive valuations elsewhere, the long-term outlook remains tied to political outcomes and broader economic conditions. The debt market, however, continues to attract FPI interest, indicating a nuanced approach to investment in India.

2024.05.20 07:26 Mj_Frosty Sold on the PC OLED experience (ASUS ROG PG27AQDM OLED monitor)

Sold on the PC OLED experience (ASUS ROG PG27AQDM OLED monitor)
Although I'm a bit late to the launch party on this one, I finally took the plunge and moved to OLED after waiting for a decent 27" option, and can safely say it's one of my best upgrades in a few years. I've just come from the Samsung G7 VA panel and have been gobsmacked.
For me personally, the anticipation for OLED technology in the PC space has been nothing short of a journey. We've patiently awaited its arrival, not just for the obvious benefits in visual quality, but also for more suitable size options that cater to our competitive streak that is part and parcel of our makeup as PC enthusiasts. While OLED has long been celebrated in other realms, such as TVs and smartphones, the PC gaming community has yearned for OLED panels in the 27-32" range—ideal for gaming without compromising desk space. We can finally bid farewell to the compromises of IPS, VA, and other panel types. It's been a landmark moment for me to embrace gaming with vibrant colours, deep blacks, and lightning-fast response times all rolled into one panel with very few drawbacks and not to mention exceptional brightness. Even with general desktop use, the panel maintains around 250 nits in SDR, making it more than suitable for day-to-day tasks outside gaming.
The OLED Care functionality also reduces the risk of burn-in to near zero, so damaging the panel from prolonged use is a lot more difficult than I anticipated. Auto hiding taskbar and not having a desktop background simply aren't needed with the panel technology and preventative functionality like “pixel cleaning” and “Screen Move”. “Screen Move” is more of a pixel “shift” and is an optional function with various levels of strength which adjusts the location of stationary pixels. Some users may find this function distracting for desktop use. Experiment with the various modes to see which you find to be tolerable, however it can also be switched off. I didn't notice any issues with this at any strength level.
Stepping into the world of OLED PC gaming after years of relying on VA or IPS counterparts is a huge step. The first thing you notice is the richness and depth of colours. The deep blacks are almost surreal, providing a level of contrast that was previously unheard of. It's on par with upgrading from standard definition to 1440P and beyond. Every detail is sharper, every scene is more immersive.
Brightness is very impressive on W-OLED panels as a whole, but I was impressed to hear that the precision heatsink on the PG27 somehow elevated peak brightness over the LG 27GR95QE-B by as much as 30% in both SDR and HDR over its LG counterpart. On the other end of the spectrum, the benefits of infinite contrast make OLED a must for gamers like me who enjoy their horror. There's nothing worse than seeing washed-out grey where parts of the environment are supposed to be cloaked in darkness. Having the ability to simply switch pixels "off" is simply something that really should have been in the PC space way sooner.
https://i.redd.it/1ms1tle7oi1d1.gif
Equally, where there needs to be colour there's no disappointment there, either. With true 10-bit depth and 99% DCI-P3 gamut, vibrant scenes look stunning. Horizon Forbidden West landscapes really "pop" where there's lush vegetation and water, and with over 1000nits on tap the sun's glaze is set apart from the landscape. The insane contrast capabilities on these panels make the transitioning between different environments far more lifelike than what's possible on traditional LED technology.
Overall this has easily been my best upgrade in the last 3 or 4 years, very happy. I'd recommend it to anyone still swaying on the fence with an older IPS or VA panel.

2024.05.20 07:19 TalentShowCrasher First Visit to [Carowinds]! Trip Report 5/19

Went to Carowinds for the first time on Sunday, 5/19. Rain was in the forecast all week, but no rain fell on the park while I was there! Sun peeked through a bit in the afternoon, but the temperature was phenomenal. Crowds were pretty light and most every ride was a walk on or 10 minute wait from open until about 1:30 in the afternoon. Crowds began to pick up then and waits were a bit longer as a result. Got in 15 coaster laps and a few flat rides in about 6 hours (not including an hour break for lunch and rest), so not a bad day at all.
Here are my thoughts on the coasters:
Hurler: A pretty average woodie. The pace into the first turn was pretty great and smooth, but things were a bit downhill from there. Definitely has its best stuff at the beginning and the worst at the end. Rode once and didn't return.
Fury 325: I left my spouse and proposed to Fury 325. Wedding date TBD. Jokes aside, my first giga was all I could have ever hoped and dreamed for. Like I legitimately almost cried after my first lap because it was that good. I could not believe how smooth it was either. Just unreal. For perspective, the tallest coaster I'd ridden before Fury was like 150 feet tall, so this was just in a league of it's own for me. Ended up riding it 4 times (twice in row 3, once in the last row, and once in the first row). Front row is in a league of its own. All three trains were running all day, smooth as could be.
Carolina Cyclone: A clone of this ride was my first upside down coaster when I was a kid, so lots of nostalgia with this layout. Smoothest Arrow I've ridden in years, so that was a plus.
Ricochet: You either love or hate wild mouse layouts, and I absolute hate them. The brake run at the end of Ricochet almost sent the lap bar through my stomach too. Not a fan, one and done.
Vortex: I usually enjoy stand up coasters, but this one was extra rough. Maybe it was just the back row, but it boxed the shit out of my ears over and over. Had to go get some Ibuprofen afterwards lol.
The Flying Cobras: Running super smooth, but ops were extremely slow, making for a long line most of the day.
Nighthawk: Closed. Never ridden one of those Vekoma flying coaster, so I was a bit bummed.
Intimidator: Closed. Those airtime hills looked amazing...
Kiddy Hawk: It was social hour at ride ops. It was taking 8 minutes to dispatch trains because they were standing around chit chatting before checking seat belts. Then there'd always be someone who needed to get off or some shit and they could never figure out how to manually unlock the seat in a normal amount of time. One of the weaker kid coasters out there too; not sure why I bothered.
Afterburn: If it weren't for Fury, this would probably have been my favorite coaster at the park. And it's turning 25 this year!! It was buttery smooth and the first drop is sneaky fast. Ops were fast and both trains were running all day. Don't sleep on Afterburn. It was better than any of the other inverted B&Ms I've ridden.
Copperhead Strike: I loved the the themeing. Absolutely fantastic. However, the launches left a lot to be desired, and I was fairly disappointed given all the things I'd heard about this coaster. The layout was great, the hangtime when upside down was incredible, and the turns were smooth and snappy. Ops were quick and running 3 trains at a time made quick work of the queue. Definitely have mixed feelings on this one. I still went back and rode it a total of 3 times, so obviously I liked it enough!
Tip In 1: I got to ride Fury with one of the ride operators who had just gotten off shift. There was a brief delay in the station, so I got to chat with him about the ride timing and the trim brakes and general ride ops for a couple minutes while waiting to pull back in. Wish I'd had time to ask more questions.

2024.05.20 07:13 gamergirlpeeofficial AITA for not offering my home to a soon-to-be-homeless neighbor?

I [30NB] received a knock on my door at 10:30pm the other day. I was not expecting anyone at this time of night. I peek through the curtains and recognize a neighbor (55F).
This neighbor is a virtual stranger. We've never met or introduced ourselves to one another, though we frequently see each other outside.
I open the door. The neighbor tells me I've left my garage open. I check and sure enough, I did. I thank the neighbor for letting me know. She says, "I'm Mary, btw." "Nice to meet you, Mary, I'm gamergirlpeeofficial."
As we are parting ways, I notice Mary has significant difficulty traversing down the stairs to my driveway. I ask if she's hurt or needs help. She says she lost a lot of her strength and mobility after a recent gall-bladder surgery; that she had a hard time climbing up the stairs in the first place. I offer Mary my arm and help her down the stairs, across the street, and back up to her house. We part ways.
The next day, I wanted to thank Mary. I just happened to have some homemade granola in my pantry. As a token of appreciation, I filled a small bag with granola and attached a thank-you note to the outside. I walk to the neighbors house, knock on her door, and deliver the gift.
Mary graciously accepts the granola. I ask if she's ok. She says:
No, I'm not doing well. I've been so sick I can't work. I haven't been paid in 3 months. I had to cancel my cable and internet to pay rent.
I mentally note that I see Mary chain-smoking cigarettes outside her house everyday. She can give up the $15/mo Netflix subscription, but not the $15/day cigarette habit.
"That is a bummer, I'm so sorry to hear about that. Do you have family who can help?
No, my family doesn't speak to me. I have one son who's in prison for meth. I have no one but myself.
"I'm so sorry."
Is it just you, by yourself, in that house?
"Yes. I live alone."
I know you don't know me very well, but I don't have anyone else to turn to. Do you think I can live with you?
"I'm so sorry, but I already have someone moving in." This is a lie. I didn't want to say No so directly. I hastily end the conversation. "I have to get going now. Enjoy the granola!"
We part ways.
After I get home, I feel bad. Mary is obviously going through a hard time without any support system. Very soon, she's probably going to lose the only roof she has over her head.
I think of myself as a moral person who is willing to help the needy. I live alone in a house that's big enough for 2 people.
However, I think Mary is too sick and needy to live independently again. If I invite her into my home as a shelter of last resort, she would never leave. I would be stuck with her indefinitely.
AITA? Is there a non-AH way to tell my neighbor that I'm able but unwilling to help?

2024.05.20 07:07 tab_rick Top 10 Best Bathroom Sinks in 2023

Top 10 Best Bathroom Sinks in 2023
Navigating the myriad options for bathroom sinks and finding the best bathroom vanities with ample storage space can be an intricate endeavor. We are committed to simplifying this process for you. Join us as we explore the top 10 bathroom sinks of 2023, shedding light on their distinguishing features, exceptional advantages, and market-leading attributes. Together, let’s identify the sink that flawlessly marries elegance and utility for your living environment.

What is the Best Bathroom Sink?

The ideal bathroom sink is a complex interplay of personal taste, spatial limitations, and design objectives. However, there are universally recognized qualities that contribute to a superior bathroom sink.

Ease of Maintenance

Effective household management necessitates reducing the time allocated for bathroom sink maintenance. Premium sinks are designed for low maintenance, featuring stain-resistant properties and ease of cleaning. Materials like solid surfaces are advantageous due to their smooth surfaces that effectively repel common bathroom stains.

Diversity in Sizes and Styles

A one-size-fits-all approach is impractical when it comes to bathroom sinks. Your choice will be influenced by spatial considerations and aesthetic preferences. Below are some standard sink dimensions:

Sink Type Size (in inches)
Drop-in Sinks 20-24
Undermount Sinks 19-22
Above-counter Sinks 15-20
Cabinet Sinks 24-48
Freestanding Sinks 18-30
Wall-hung Sinks 20-24

Drop-in Sinks

Commonly known as top-mounted sinks, drop-in sinks are favored for their straightforward installation process. These sinks are inserted into a pre-cut hole in the countertop, with the rim sitting above it. This configuration offers a contemporary look and serves as a practical solution for settings that prioritize both aesthetics and utility.

Undermount Sinks

Undermount sinks are affixed beneath the countertop, delivering a streamlined and modern appearance. Preferred for minimalist settings, the lack of a rim simplifies cleaning and eliminates the possibility of debris accumulation.

Above-counter Sinks

Also referred to as vessel sinks, above-counter sinks are positioned entirely atop the countertop, serving as a striking design element. Available in a variety of materials like solid surface, ceramic, or copper, these sinks offer businesses an opportunity to make a visual impact.

Cabinet Sinks

Combining storage and sink into a unified structure, cabinet sinks are perfect for those requiring additional storage for toiletries and other essentials. These sinks often come with soft-close drawers and are crafted from diverse materials such as hardwood, engineered wood, teak, and plywood, delivering both functionality and style.

Freestanding Sinks

Freestanding sinks, including freestanding vanities, stand independently, not requiring a countertop or vanity for support. These sinks are particularly well-suited for spacious environments aiming for a refined aesthetic. Made from high-quality materials like solid surface or porcelain, are both durable and low-maintenance. Their design flexibility allows them to serve as eye-catching focal points when complemented with stylish faucets.

Wall-hung Sinks

Wall-hung sinks, sometimes referred to as wall-mounted sinks, are designed to maximize floor space in compact bathrooms or powder rooms. They are directly mounted to the wall, often featuring built-in faucet holes and a small ledge for storing toiletries. Crafted from robust materials like solid surface or stainless steel, wall-mount sinks ensure lasting performance.

Multifunction Design

The quintessential bathroom sink should surpass mere washing capabilities. It should epitomize a fusion of convenience and advanced utility, taking into consideration the available space in the bathroom. Features such as integrated storage solutions and adaptable faucet hole configurations are essential to cater to a broad spectrum of plumbing prerequisites. The strategic inclusion of overflow drains is indispensable to counteract potential water spillage. During the selection phase, it’s paramount to juxtapose these functional nuances with sophisticated aesthetics. Facets like soft-close drawers and innovative shelving solutions augment the sink’s multifaceted utility. It’s also vital to appraise the spatial dynamics of the bathroom to ensure an impeccable integration.

Superior Materials

The material pedigree of a bathroom sink is instrumental in ascertaining its enduring appeal and resilience. Options span from the perennial sophistication of porcelain to the stalwart resilience of stainless steel and copper. It becomes imperative to select a sink that is impervious to stains, adept at handling thermal variances from hot water, and exhibits unwavering durability over extended periods. Whether one’s inclination is towards a cutting-edge solid surface sink or a vintage wooden basin, the chosen piece should resonate with both utilitarian needs and refined aesthetic inclinations. Such a choice guarantees a harmonious amalgamation with the overarching bathroom decor while ensuring a lot of storage for quintessential items at an affordable price point.

Solid Surface Bathroom Sinks

Dive into the realm of solid surface bathroom sinks, a pinnacle of modern bathroom design. These sinks are meticulously crafted from a unique blend of high-grade resins and aluminum hydroxide powder. This combination results in a pristine, pore-free surface that marries aesthetic charm with functional utility. Notably, the use of premium isophthalic resin ensures the sink remains resistant to yellowing over its lifespan.

For daily upkeep, opt for a mild, pH-balanced cleanser and steer clear of abrasive agents that might mar the surface.

Key Features of Porcelain Bathroom Sinks

  • Smooth and Glossy Surface: Porcelain sinks have a lustrous finish that adds a touch of luxury to any bathroom.
  • Resistance to Fading: These sinks retain their color and shine for years, ensuring they look as good as new even after prolonged use.
  • Hygienic and Easy to Clean: The smooth surface of porcelain sinks means there are fewer crevices for dirt and bacteria to hide, making them a hygienic choice.

Maintaining porcelain sinks is straightforward. A gentle cleaner and a soft cloth are all you need to keep them in pristine condition. Regularly rinse and wipe to prevent mineral deposits from forming.

Fiberglass Bathroom Sinks

Fiberglass sinks might not be the first choice that pops into your mind, but they’ve been making waves in the industry. Known for their impact resistance and lightweight nature, they’re a practical choice for businesses that prioritize functionality without compromising on aesthetics.

Key Features of Fiberglass Bathroom Sinks

  • Impact Resistance: Life happens. And sometimes, that means accidentally dropping a heavy object into your sink. With fiberglass, you’ve got a buffer. These sinks are designed to absorb shocks, reducing the risk of cracks or breaks.
  • Lightweight: One of the standout features of fiberglass sinks is their weight—or lack thereof. This makes installation a breeze, especially in spaces where a heavy stone or ceramic sink might be impractical.
  • Temperature Sensitivity: Now, while fiberglass is a champ in many areas, it’s a bit sensitive to extreme temperatures. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re in an environment where hot tools like hair straighteners might come in contact with the sink.

Maintenance of Fiberglass Bathroom Sinks

Taking care of a fiberglass sink is pretty straightforward. Regular cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner will keep it looking spick and span. It’s also a good idea to avoid exposing the sink to high temperatures for prolonged periods.

Stainless Steel Bathroom Sinks

Stainless steel isn’t just for your kitchen. Over the years, stainless steel bathroom sinks have gained popularity, especially in commercial settings. They’re durable, resistant to corrosion, and offer a sleek, modern look that many businesses crave.

Key Features of Stainless Steel Bathroom Sinks

  • Lightweight: Much like their fiberglass counterparts, stainless steel sinks are relatively light, making them easy to install.
  • Resistance to Corrosion: One of the major benefits of stainless steel is its resistance to rust and corrosion. This makes it an ideal choice for high-moisture environments like bathrooms.
  • Affordable: If you’re looking for a sink that offers durability without breaking the bank, stainless steel might be your best bet.

Maintenance of Stainless Steel Bathroom Sinks

Maintaining a stainless steel sink is simple. Regular cleaning with a mild detergent will do the trick. To prevent water spots, it’s a good idea to wipe the sink dry after use. And if you want to keep it shiny, an occasional polish with a stainless steel cleaner will have it gleaming like new.

Composite Bathroom Sinks

Composite sinks are the unsung heroes in the world of bathroom fixtures. Made from a blend of materials, often including granite or quartz combined with resins, these sinks offer durability and a unique aesthetic appeal.

Key Features of Composite Bathroom Sinks

  • Good Durability: Composite sinks can withstand the rigors of daily use. They’re resistant to scratches, dings, and can handle high temperatures.
  • Compatibility with Surrounding Materials: One of the standout features of composite sinks is their ability to blend seamlessly with various countertop materials, be it granite, quartz, or even hardwood.
  • Various Styles: Whether you’re going for a modern look or a more traditional vibe, there’s a composite sink out there that’ll fit the bill.

Maintenance of Composite Bathroom Sinks

Composite sinks are relatively low maintenance. It usually only needs regular cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner to keep it looking its best. For tougher stains, a gentle scrub with a soft brush can work wonders.

Cast Iron Bathroom Sinks

Cast iron sinks are like the grand old dames of the bathroom world. They’ve been around for ages, and there’s a good reason for that. With their excellent stain resistance and easy-to-clean nature, they’ve earned their place in many a bathroom, be it in a chic boutique hotel or a bustling business center.

Key Features of Cast Iron Bathroom Sinks

  • Excellent Stain Resistance: Ever spilled red wine or dropped lipstick on the sink? With cast iron, there’s no need to panic. These sinks are resistant to most stains, ensuring they will stay in pristine condition even after accidental spills.
  • Sound Dampening: One of the lesser known benefits of cast iron sinks is their ability to insulate sound. So no more loud echoes when you drop something in the sink.
  • Easy to Clean: The enamel coating on cast iron sinks makes cleaning a breeze. A simple wipe with a damp cloth, and voila! It’s as good as new.

Maintenance of Cast Iron Bathroom Sinks

Maintaining a cast iron sink is straightforward. Regular cleaning with a mild detergent will keep it shining. It’s also a good idea to avoid using abrasive cleaners as they can damage the enamel coating.

Copper Bathroom Sinks

Copper bathroom sinks are a unique and intriguing choice for businesses looking to blend aesthetic charm with functional benefits. Known for their natural antibacterial properties, these sinks offer a distinct advantage in terms of hygiene. Crafted usually from a single sheet of copper and often hand-hammered, each sink is a unique piece of functional art. Over time, copper develops a patina, a natural layer that not only protects the material but also enhances its aesthetic appeal. This evolving characteristic makes copper sinks a living, changing element in your bathroom design.

Key Features of Copper Bathroom Sinks

  • Antibacterial Properties: Copper sinks are pretty amazing for a few reasons. First, they have natural germ-fighting powers. Studies show that copper can kill almost all bacteria it touches, which is a big deal for places like hospitals where cleanliness is super important. This special antibacterial property sets copper sinks apart from others.
  • Unique Aesthetic: But that’s not all! Copper sinks have a unique look that’s both old-fashioned and modern. The warm colors of copper and solid brass add a fancy and sophisticated feel to any bathroom. Each sink is handmade, so no two are exactly the same. They might have different textures and shades, which makes them special. Over time, copper develops a beautiful aged look, sort of like an antique.
  • Good Durability: And guess what? Copper sinks are tough too. They’re made to handle the wear and tear of everyday use. Copper doesn’t easily corrode, so your sink will stay looking good and working well for a long time. Unlike other sinks that can crack or chip easily, copper sinks are built to last.

Maintenance of Copper Bathroom Sinks

To keep your copper sink looking its best, you need to take good care of it. Avoid using harsh or rough cleaners because they can remove the natural patina that forms on the copper surface. Stick to gentle cleaners to preserve its beauty and functionality.

Concrete Bathroom Sinks

Concrete bathroom sinks have gained prominence as a fashionable selection for contemporary bathroom designs. Known for their robustness, versatility, and industrial aesthetic, these sinks are highly favored by businesses aiming to elevate their interior décor.

Key Features of Concrete Bathroom Sinks

  • Design Flexibility: One of the most significant benefits of concrete sinks is their adaptability in design. Unlike mass-produced sinks, concrete variants can be tailored to meet specific design requirements, offering a wide range of shapes and sizes for individualized style.
  • Exceptional Durability: Beyond their aesthetic appeal, concrete sinks are engineered for longevity. The intrinsic strength of concrete renders these sinks highly resilient to common forms of damage such as cracking, chipping, and general wear and tear.
  • Heat and Stain Resistance: The natural heat-resistant properties of concrete make it an excellent material for accommodating hot items like hairstyling tools. Additionally, when properly sealed, these sinks demonstrate strong resistance to stains from everyday bathroom products, thus facilitating easier cleaning and maintenance.

Maintenance of Concrete Bathroom Sinks

While concrete sinks offer numerous advantages, they do necessitate more frequent maintenance compared to other materials like porcelain or stainless steel. Regular sealing is essential to guard against water damage and staining. For daily cleaning, the use of a mild, non-acidic cleaner is advised.

2024.05.20 07:06 Takaroru Pandaria remix is straight up a scam.

"I hope there's someone with a lower level character to help me with this quest so they can kill the mobs faster and I just tag" This is a thing I never thought I'd say out loud while playing any MMO ever.
I wasn't playing WoW over these last years since the end of BFA. I was super hyped about going back to the MoP years since I did raid a whole lot of heroic Siege of Orgrimmar and finished the brawler's guild back then, when it was something of an achievement.
I'm 100% sure no one on blizzard played this on a normal pace up to level 70 and through into Heroic Garrosh, It's an unbelievable fuckup how much weaker I am on my level 70 than I am on a fresh level 10 character. I even tested it. On my warlock, on any Heroic Dungeon, I can't be hit by mechanics, I just die to anything, I got 300k hp, anything can hit me for at least 200k... Usually the big AoE effects that will give you some opportunity to move away with some seconds will tick me once and I'm dead. I redid the same heroic dungeon on a completely fresh warrior, level 10 arms with the fresh cape with Infinite Power XII, that's like +150 strength and +40% versatility. I was soloing everything not caring about aoe effects or if bosses aggroed on me due to my sheer dps and versa, even with only slam, whirlwind and execute I was able to deal about 75% of the whole dungeon damage, with mostly everyone being between the levels 61 and 68.
On the ad they showed a cloak of infinite potential with +234% Exp gain, I was looking thought streams and videos, and I saw no one with a cloak above 185% experience... and that would be on level 69, I really thought I'd get something like 200% extra exp at lvl 50. I thought we could get onto runescape leagues levels of faster experience, but I was tricked onto that.
Now I'm trapped with a level 70 that can barely quest properly now, I can't run heroic dungeons unless lower level people will carry me through since anything that touches me kills me and I can't raid properly (unless I go for raid finder). The only activity I can do to make my character stronger is geting threads, and that's it. Getting +12 random stat every now and then and hope I can reach some level within these 3 months. I thought this mode would be less about grinding and more about skipping steps into the fun (raiding/reaching extreme levels of strength), but it looks like it's only an extremely slow grind during the first 2 months of level 70.
I know about the exploit that was running, and I know I could've gone for that, but I got a life and didn't think it'd matter that much, I just finished leveling my character on sunday morning and the exploit was fixed around that time... too bad, if I knew I'd need it so much I'd gone for it.
Now I paid for a 3 month subscription for a game I wasn't playing, I won't play this mode anymore since I can't do anything on my character that feels weak... and I got about 15 hours of gameplay out of the 3 months I paid for.
This is so unpolished I can't believe they released this in this way, the bronze grind is extreme, and the sheer amount of threads you need is insane, it should probably be considered a scam and legal action should come into blizzard's way, it's impossible to release something this bad and just get away with it. They deliberately made the earlier levels feel like you're stronger just so they could pull the rug on 70 and surprise-grind you into slow as fuck +12 bonuses until you can reach a passable level so you can at least survive 3 ticks of an AoE instead of instant death.
I don't even know how to feel, got scammed back in D3 release in 2012, and just let it pass, got scammed with WoD being the worst xpac and let it pass, then I told myself I'd never get scammed by blizzard again since BFA and here I am, what the fuck.
