My question is, if I apply through AU's C2C Swipe Up Portal for the pre-approved Altura+ LTF card, will I still have to undergo physical verification, or does the pre-approved status bypass that requirement? Any experiences or insights would be appreciated. Comment 1: Based on my experience with AU Bank, they do require physical verification for all credit card applications, even if pre-approved. I (30 M) met a girl (28 F) through Hinge recently. The first date went unexpectedly well. We both enjoyed talking to each other a lot. We met up around 8 pm. Initially, I had planned to leave within 1 or 2 hours because I had an early morning flight the next day, but I ended up staying with her until around 2 am. She also had a flight in the morning. Even after she returned to her country (she's American, but she lives in Asia and comes to the States for work every 3 months), we've been talking for about 3 weeks now.
Today, she told me she's been feeling disconnected from me recently, mentioning that I don't share my feelings much when she asks about my day and that we've spent very little time together. She also said I don't open up much, though I felt like I did. We talked it out, but now I have a feeling that we'd end up losing interest in each other if this keeps going. LDR was never my preference, but I feel like I'd want to give it a try if it's with her. I (24F) was working as an SDET in a product company for 2 years and after a year I started thinking this was boring and should go for something else. And since I had this fear of coding from my college, not that i code bad but it was because few of my friends were from CBSE who started coding from school and would talk things about coding that i never understood a word, because of which I developed this fear and feeling inferior that i know nothing about coding which im still not able to overcome. Also because of which when i got placed in 3 companies in my college, i picked testing because the other 2 were developer roles. Even in my job, we had automation but it was not that tough so it was not a big deal to code daily. So because it felt boring and I wanted to do non-coding job, I enrolled myself in a UX workshop which was about for a week but didnt feel it was for me. Then after few months, I came across a Frontend dev course or something (dont remember), then i recalled i really loved building web pages in my college, so i thought of just picking up and studying html, css again and i gave it a serious thought about becoming a Frontend dev and started learning JavaScript, and i liked it. So when I wanted to pursue frontend development I didnt really think about my fear of coding anoll. So i found it difficult with my job to complete this course, because there were less people in my team, and we worked 10 hours a day and sometimes even on weekends for technical support, and i felt drained most of the time after i came home. So I left my job last september and continued this course, which i really loved doing, built some projects and learnt a lot during the process and I really liked doing this. But since im now applying for jobs and giving interviews, this fear has started kicking in again like not letting me sleep and anxious all the time. I also think a lot about how much I should learn a lot compared to SDET and the complexity of problems that i'll face, DSA, System Design and preparing all these, each time i switch a job if i was an SDE and that too for a long run. Im feeling confused and thinking if i should go back to being an SDET. Also since i studied this language from scratch, it has also changed how I see coding and i think if Im going back i could learn Java again and would know better than my pervious SDET self. Can anyone who understands this please help me with some advice?

If I (19yo F) see a man living the life of my dreams I will make him a love interest solely bc he’s living an awesome life that I dream of potentially having a taste of and I can live thru him by being his wife (and that’s literally all it takes to knock my socks off). Honestly, I’m just tired of being poor, I still share a room with my grandma 😭, I’m considered to be an “attractive/pretty Ethiopian girl” and I feel like I can probably get somewhere in life with my looks n get mi dream life the easy way hehehe.

He is basically like a reminder to me that I have a type, I know exactly what I want and I need to find more men like this before I choose one to settle down with. i never thought this was a problem until I met another Ethiopian guy (24yo) that I find very attractive, has good paying job, and I’m compatible enough with him especially when it comes to having an open minded, progressive philosophy, he is good (sometimes) and I always just think I should hold on to him out of scarcity of open minded, progressive Ethiopian/muslim guys(did I just answer my own question?😳) even tho he’s more boring than I’d imagine the “dream-guy” to be. With the 24 yo, I just kno I’m settling for someone who’s NOT 100% my dream guy, he’s just about 75% my dream guy. My main goal was to crack either USMLE or Plab by the end of this year and build up my CV with publications because those are important for interviews abroad. I did get a paper published in a local journal way back when I was in my 3rd year, and I made another article during my internship days, which I need to get published. I thought that I could spend a little extra money to get it published in a higher end journal this time, preferably one which is scopus indexed or accessible on pubmed. For context, my article is a study of awareness of the importance of research work in medical and paramedical branches, so I first tried NJCM. But they rejected it after one month, saying that they had already published other papers similar to this one.
Then I tried Cureus, but even after them telling me to make certain changes with the formatting and me actually doing it and getting in touch with their editor, they still wanted me to purchase their overpriced "preferred editing service" in order to get it accepted. This was before it could even get peer reviewed, and tbh I felt scammed, because they promised that the publication process would be free if there was no need for using their editing services, and here they are forcing me to pay for it even after I made all the small corrections myself without the tool. My main goal was to crack either USMLE or Plab by the end of this year and build up my CV with publications because those are important for interviews abroad. I did get a paper published in a local journal way back when I was in my 3rd year, and I made another article during my internship days, which I need to get published. I thought that I could spend a little extra money to get it published in a higher end journal this time, preferably one which is scopus indexed or accessible on pubmed. For context, my article is a study of awareness of the importance of research work in medical and paramedical branches, so I first tried NJCM. I got laid off on February 1st of the this year, luckily I had enough money to coast for 2 months, I filed for unemployment and began filling out the weekly claims. I got two checks, but afterwards I got denied multiple times. I checked my mail and Frances (Oregons unemployment site) but no information on why I was getting denied. I have been attending interviews and filling out applications and going to temp agencies like a mad man with no avail. Unfortunately the city I live in seems to have dried up on the jobs I usually work being lumber, warehousing, forklift, etc. Even going outside my comfort zone and applying to fast food and part time jobs I've gotten no call backs from anything.

the current tech team is very small with it only being myself and 2 other people. they have plans of hiring a few more people this year. i'm currently still sharpening my frontend skills, however i've found myself not doing a lot of javascript/framework tasks at this company. just a lot of building email templates (in an editor), adding/updating pages on their site (wordpress editor with some html/css) and just small tech related tasks that aren't exactly coding. i was working on a project that heavily involved javascript but it's currently somewhat on the backburner for now. so i did do some coding projects in the past but it's been a while.
they have plans to grow and incorporate more technology into the company, so my boss says that they will need help building certain tools and such that will require a lot of coding. they are also planning on hiring a senior developer.
idk i guess i wish that i would be doing a lot more coding then im doing now? so even though i know that things will pick up soon but i'm feeling kind of useless.
the salary also isn't the greatest (65k, jobs in nyc, i live in nj), so now i'm wondering if i should start applying to jobs next year that are more tech focused or that has an established tech team? too soon?
i feel really bad thinking this since my boss and everyone at my job is amazing.

I asked my lawyers if I should get my recommenders to include their email & contact info and they replied there is no such USCIS requirement and all they need is their mailing address (which can also be a personal mailing address).
Some of my recommenders have included their contact email & phone as part of the letterhead but others have not. All of them have given their work mailing address except one who has given his personal mailing address.

the salary also isn't the greatest (65k, jobs in nyc, i live in nj), so now i'm wondering if i should start applying to jobs next year that are more tech focused or that has an established tech team? too soon?
i feel really bad thinking this since my boss and everyone at my job is amazing.

Hi all,
Can someone who's done the presentation for the poster please let me know how it went? in-terms of the questions they ask are they very specific or vague ie:photosynthesis and alternative method? I'm having a mental breakdown, I had to do the poster by myself, none of my group members ever got back to me, I saw on the seminars that they'll contact group members on behalf of anyone whose group hasn't responded, I tried contacting my group multiple times, emailed the staff and I got treated so unfairly, I got told to start working on it myself and wait till May 6th if group members don't reply by then to reply to the email and let the teaching staff know, I did and I had to double email them as no one responded to me, instead of nudging the team members to find out what's going (as they said they will in the seminar) they just told me to submit the poster myself. I'm so upset at being treated so unfairly and this isn't the first time this unit's done this to me.
Anyone else on the same boat or could be of help, I'd highly appreciate it :(

i have been an intern for a small non-profit (about 50 employees) for the past 2 years and will be starting full time sometime next month as a web developer.
the current tech team is very small with it only being myself and 2 other people. they have plans of hiring a few more people this year. i'm currently still sharpening my frontend skills, however i've found myself not doing a lot of javascript/framework tasks at this company. just a lot of building email templates (in an editor), adding/updating pages on their site (wordpress editor with some html/css) and just small tech related tasks that aren't exactly coding. i was working on a project that heavily involved javascript but it's currently somewhat on the backburner for now. so i did do some coding projects in the past but it's been a while.
they have plans to grow and incorporate more technology into the company, so my boss says that they will need help building certain tools and such that will require a lot of coding. they are also planning on hiring a senior developer.
idk i guess i wish that i would be doing a lot more coding then im doing now? so even though i know that things will pick up soon but i'm feeling kind of useless.
