2024.05.19 00:23 No-Drawing-1508 Regular Show Physical Release

I just remembered about this show and how much I loved it when i was a bit younger. Ive been watching so many clips of it and Its made me wanna watch it again. I looked online and THERES NO BOX SET. Its been like 7 years and you cant even buy it physically. The only physical release covering all seasons are region 4 and you cant get it easily or cheap. Is there no hope for a blu ray or dvd release anymore? It feels like its been too long for one to ever be released.
Does anyone else want a physical release? I only really watch stuff on physical media and dont buy subscriptions so I legit cant watch the show. Real shame bc I remember it being fantastic.

Let's update the Subreddit's FAQ together!
Hello everyone!
u/flat_ad560 here.
As I spoke with u/ncisbigbrain, they raised an important point: we need to focus on enforcing Rule 9 ("Questions already answered in the FAQ will be removed"). (They're absolutely right!)
However, to become more strict about this rule, our FAQ needs to be as accurate and up-to-date as possible, making it the most reliable source on the internet.
I've already made some updates myself, but I need your help, members! Please check the FAQ and help our community by fixing any issues and providing more accurate content.

2024.05.18 05:35 Extreme-Project-5848 I think my ex online friend killed himself and I was part of the reason why

Ok so like back in January I was looking for some online friends cause I had a lot of free time after school and it got boring after a while. Anyways, this 14 year old guy made a post on this subreddit related to online friends and I replied. So we start talking on discord, and like it was just normal getting to know you stuff.
As the days went on he opened up to me about how I was like his one and only friend, because he was getting bullied or like isolated at school. He was living in Mexico at the time and apparently his school just didn't have the best crowd and he never really wanted to get along with those type of people. Everyday he'd text me about how bad his day was and all that stuff. I was kinda getting a little overwhelmed but I still felt bad for him. I'd try giving him advice like talking to his teachers and stuff, but he'd say that would only work for so long. Again, he'd always remind me how I was like his only friend. We'd talk for like 2 hours, usually during the night til he went to sleep because this was during winter break. Sometimes he'd text me saying he can't sleep, so I would always recommend different things to do, like listen to music etc. The next day he'd say it worked for him, and I felt glad for him. This is going to sound really bad, but even though I was really happy that I was helping him with his struggles, honestly it was kind of too much for me. I felt bad ending conversations with him cause they would last for hours on end. I know this is kind of my fault because I reached out first, but I didn't know it would lead to him ranting to me every day. When it was really bad, I'd even recommend him therapists or online therapists to talk to. He'd always try but end up saying that you'd have to pay or something else (which may have been true but idk because a lot of online therapy sites are different for separate regions, cz he was in Mexico and I was in the US).
I wanna say this relationship lasted for around 3 weeks but I don't remember. Anyways, things were looking really good for him. I always encouraged him to speak to his parents about it, but he'd always say he didn't want to burden them. Then one day he said he finally mustered up the courage to tell him mom everything about his life. I supported him the whole way. Later he told me his mom would try to find a therapist for him. Still during the days of finding a therapist he would always come rant to me. This is kind of my fault for always accepting even though I honestly didn't want him to rant to me anymore. We stopped talking as often/as long for a while, but then somehow our discord like got glitched or smth and it wouldn't allow us to contact each other. Sometimes the glitch would go away and stuff, but my point is that we stopped talking for a long time. This sounds bad but I honestly forgot about the relationship. One day I checked reddit again after a long time and I saw a message from him asking if I remember him. I immediately replied, and we started talking again. Again, the ranting/venting from him continued. I felt really bad for him, but when I looked for an online friend I didn't expect this. One day I just decided to pour it all out to him. I wrote an entire like essay to him explaining how I couldn't handle his issues along with my own (my family life wasn't very good at that time, but I didn't want to vent to him back because he was already overwhelmed in his own life). I told him to block me and i would do the same. He simply replied something along the lines of "okay. Yeah i think it's best we both move on." And that was that.
I did block him on everything. I forgot about it for around 3 weeks, and then I will be honest curiosity got the best of me. I unblocked him and checked his reddit profile. He didn't block me even though I must've really hurt his feelings. He made so many posts on suicidewatch or other subreddits talking about killing himself, or how he doesn't deserve to be on this earth anymore. I felt really bad, but I thought it'd hurt him more if I suddenly re-entered his life, so I didn't. Every now and then I'd check his profile to see how he was doing, and I did again today. Just yesterday he made a post saying how he couldn't handle it anymore. Then he made another one titled "i'm sorry", with a picture of what I assume is him holding a knife. I'm scared. I think it's my fault, because I basically told him that his only friend doesn't want to be friends with him anymore. Do i reach out? I don't know if he actually went through with it. Help please.

2024.05.18 04:04 PrimeNumber97 Mushoku Tensei V2 (Review)

I will start this by saying that I was advised not to read this volume’s Bonus Chapter for Roxy until after I have read Volume 5, so please keep that in mind when commenting.
Following the format of the previous post I made, I will start with Rudy.
Rudeus doesn’t seem to have changed all that much in this volume, it definitely feels like Rudy’s character progression was more in regards to his abilities rather than character development. Pretty standard this early into a series. So I will maintain that I don’t like him but am interested to see how he “grows up”. Though him attempting to make a full on sexual advance on a 12 year old was gross, and I’m glad Eris kicked his ass for it.
Eris is easily my favorite character so far. The way she carries herself as though she is extremely self confident and has a superiority complex when she actually has an inferiority complex and has a slew of insecurities was just a really unexpected and intriguing twist on his arctype of character. It definitely gives me the impression that the author of Mushoku Tensei puts a lot of effort into making his characters more complex than they seem at face value. It also helps that Rudy earns all the asskickings she dishes out.
I feel Aunt Ghislaine didn’t really get as much credit as she deserved, in regards to being a mentor, in universe. Basically every time Eris or Rudy asked her a question she had a surprisingly well thought out reply, given her reputation and silly behavior. Hell, she even sacrificed her small amount of time off just to humor Rudy and teach him the Beast God Tongue. Her coming in clutch against both Almanfi and the Kidnappers was incredible and really showed off how badass she was and how relatively weak/unprepared Rudy is for high level combat in this setting, which I’m glad to see, for a minute there I thought he was going to be an example of an overpowered MC, but the fact he couldn’t even beat a single Advanced Swordsman dispelled that notion. Also, Ghislaine taking interest in Rudy’s art was really cute, I wonder what he’s going to make her, probably a figure of Eris or something. Her essentially single handedly winning a war iand starting a religion in her mindless flailing around to find Eris and Rudy was equally terrifying and adorable.
Lord Sauros is quite the character. I can definitely tell where Eris gets it from. I hesitate to call him an “adorable old man” character, but that’s essentially what he is. Right now I just really wonder what he’s going to do after Roa got “teleportation bombed”. Honestly I wouldn’t he surprised to learn he didn’t survive and James used the opportunity to seize complete control over the house and have Phillip exiled or something. Given the context of Phillip’s final conversation with Rudy.
On to Phillip. He’s really the only character that felt off-putting to me. I’d almost be willing to call him psychopathic in regards to how he interacts or communicates with people. I feel this next chapter in his life will be a difficult one, I wouldn’t be surprised if James pins blame of Roa’s “destruction” on Phillip to have him removed as a threat to James’ position.
On Hilda, it’s been a long time since my opinion of a character has shifted so earth-shatteringly dramatically in spite of only having two or three appearances in the entire volume. She earns a seat on Zenith’s “Deserves Better” boat in my opinion.
Now, for the little compilation of POVs at the end. The Dragon God just walking through a horde of Dragons mostly unmolested simply because they’re too frightened to confront him is metal as fuck. The Sword God’s was a little confusing, but I get the gist that’s unbothered and incredibly powerful, it seems he was sparing, giving a philosophy lesson, and observing the teleportation thing simultaneously. I take it this Pax fellow will be a future antagonist, but it looks like our Master Roxy is going to be entering the fray soon. Perugius sending aid to Roa was pretty on brand for a living-hero, though it would appear the man is a bit ruthless and extremely cautious considering he gave a kill on sight order without knowing the context of the events unfolding. The Demon Empress is insane but I do have some interest about her demon eyes and what their abilities are.
Okay, so… the entire city of Roa and a chunk of the Fittoa Region has been hit by a teleport spell of some sort. Kinda makes me glad Zenith and Paul skipped out on Rudy’s birthday. Though I can’t imagine any of the Buena Greyrats would see the “fortune” in Rudeus vanishing in a teleportation incident. Right now I am assuming Rudy is headed to the Demon Contient given how much focus was put on him learning to speak Demon God Tongue. I don’t really have any theories as to why it happened or who is responsible for that crystal thing yet, it will probably be explored more in the future.
We got basically nothing on what Battle Aura is in this volume. A shame, I was looking forwards to it and this would have been the perfect time to do so.
On the topic of magic, I still don’t really see it’s supposed to be difficult. Sure, there are things like mental blocks and simply having a bad memory, but it really hasn’t been explained what makes different levels of magic more difficult to preform than the ones before it or why people can’t learn silent spell casting. I get the likes of Roxy not being able to due to a reliance on incantations, but why not these two girls who have never used magic before? Maybe Ghislaine can’t because she’s an adult or because she’s mentally blocked virtually every field of magic except fire. But why not Eris? She’s only three years older than Sylphy and can use most of the schools of magic. Why couldn’t they at least learn Silent spellcasting for Fire magic?
I feel all together that this volume was a lot less dense than Volume 1 was. Less focus on things happening and characters being introduced and more on the main trio, Rudy, Ghislaine, and Eris bouncing off each other. If I had to rank them I would probably put Volume 1 above Volume 2, but it was definitely still a fun read with great characters.

2024.05.17 22:25 Ok-Mongoose-4428 Hong Kong vs Korean 360: Any difference?

A friend in the United States with a Hong Kong game collection is trying to secure a matching console. About 15 years ago, said individual had space for the games, but not the system.
The system needs NTSC-J, and hacking a USA unit is not an ideal solution. Asian market 360s do not appear often on USA auction sites. There are plenty of Japanese units, but DVD Region 3 is apparently an issue here.
I will be in Seoul this summer, and can just pick up a console at Yongsan Station and EMS it.
The Korean console would also be NTSC-J and DVD Region 3. The serial label of both I believe are in English. Perhaps the power supply would have a Chinese or Hangul written label, but, as far as the console itself, are there any differences?
The likes of the box and instructions are not of interest.
But, yes, both versions are NTSC-J, Region 3, and can on-screen display Chinese and Hangul.
What's the difference between the two? (If any)

2024.05.17 21:51 spur0701 How to play DVDs from North America in China

My wife just went to Chongqing to visit family and took her 3 year old niece a half dozen Disney movies she bought from AMZ on DVD in English to help her hopefully learn some of the language. However, none will play on their DVD player, presumably because of the region codes. Is there a common way around this like buying a DVD in the US to play them on or should she just bring them back to the US and return them and buy in CN?

2024.05.17 20:03 Massive_Holiday4672 MBTA NEWS: MBTA Advances Nearly 1,000 Units of Housing Through Collaborative Agreements, Including Significant Affordable Housing

As noted by the MBTA:
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is proud to announce the completion of five Collaborative Agreements to Advance Housing Transit-Oriented Development Projects within the past year under the leadership of MBTA General Manager and CEO Phillip Eng, including the 18.98-acre site at Attleboro Station.
“The five MBTA Transit-Oriented Development Collaborative Agreements are as follows:
Attleboro: In Attleboro, the MBTA executed an MOA with the Attleboro Redevelopment Authority (ARA) for a land swap and future sale of MBTA property, which will be combined with ARA property to support up to 600 units of housing adjacent to Attleboro Station – its largest transit-oriented-development yet.
Salem: In Salem, the MBTA partnered with the Salem Redevelopment Authority to combine MBTA land with City-owned land, enabling the Winn Companies to build a 120-unit mixed-income housing project, including 48 affordable units, next to Salem Station. This project was a key priority for Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll during her tenure as Mayor of Salem.
Winchester: Similarly, in Winchester, the MBTA collaborated with the Town to sell a parcel of land, which was combined with the Town’s property to facilitate Civico’s 56-unit housing project at Winchester Station, featuring 40 affordable units.
Boston: In Boston, the MBTA relieved the nonprofit Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services of an outstanding mortgage obligation on a former MBTA property, allowing the nonprofit to advance a 100% affordable housing project of up to 94 units near Roxbury Crossing Station.
Swampscott: Lastly, the MBTA also provided a long-term easement to the Winn Companies in Swampscott, enabling a 114-unit mixed-income housing project adjacent to MBTA tracks, with 76 affordable units. “
In addition to these collaborative agreements, the MBTA and its development partners have also recently completed and opened several new housing projects, further contributing to the region’s housing stock

2024.05.17 08:38 Business-Interview-4 What are some of your nitpicks about the series?

Here are 3 of mine
1 Vocal magic - Vocal magic has shown to be incredibly powerful, immobilizing the target, and then be able to do whatever you want, but its hardly ever used. A north saint who is kidnapping your children, and is treating all of you like you are not worth his time, lets just charge at him and not use our special technique. But a clearly harmless boy, who was cuddling the guardian beast, yes lets use it on him.
2 Fittoa region - Fittoa region was shown to be a large rural area focused on farming. With large fields of wheats (was even stated that Phillip was unable to gather lots of support as he was in this region which was rural, whereas his competitor were in capital building connections). After TP disaster all those fields were gone, but it didnt affect the food situation the the nation.
If a large region focused on producing food is suddenly wiped off the map, I think it would affect the food situation of other regions in the nation. But here nothing. Only thing affected was Boreas family’s influence and refugee's livelihood.
3) Fighting God - the 3rd great power is Fighting God Badigadi, but even though Badigadi was defeated, the title was not given to Eris because the actual great power is the armor itself and it wasnt destroyed. Then why is Badigadi holding that position. Shouldnt the third great power be Fighting God Armor, and not Fighting God Badigadi?

Weird new pick up
Just got this in ( coherence 2013, didn’t realize I was buying an Italian version) and on the back it says it’s region 2.
It plays in my region A player and I know BD region labels are ABC and DVD are 1-5. And I know dvd players can’t play Blu-ray’s so why did they label it region 2, or is this a common misprint?

2024.05.15 18:12 StadstheEidolon OU Usage Trends - April 2024

Hi, it's Stads again covering OU usage trends in April 2024. This is some form of a follow-up to my post last month here (https://www.reddit.com/stunfisk/comments/1bw1732/ou_usage_trends_march_2024/), where I discussed the 5 pokemon with the greatest usage differential between the general population elo bracket and the 1825+ elo bracket in the March 2024 stats. For this month, the stats are sourced from https://www.smogon.com/stats/2024-04/ . This time, I'll cover both the top 5 increases in usage and the top 5 decreases in usage between the two brackets. Let's start off with the increases!

1. Zamazenta (9.79% vs 23.87%, +14.09%)

Zama just keeps taking off in usage, climbing to 2nd overall in usage in the 1825+ bracket and dethroning the elephant last month. Like last month, I suspect Zama is simply an extremely solid pokemon that both checks and fits well into offensive structures. Month-over-month, I see that a novel spread of Impish 16/0/216/0/40/236 has taken over the 1825+ elo bracket this month, albeit only a small plurality at 12.142%. This spread makes it quite a bit more physically bulky while speed creeping Roaring Moon, a key opposing mon for Zama to check. However, this is at the cost of no longer outspeeding key threats like Weavile, Darkrai, and +1 Dragonite. There's been some shifting in which moves Zama is running as well, with Crunch becoming slightly less mandatory, Roar and Heavy Slam becoming more popular, and Substitute falling off quite a bit. I suspect the very standard Sub IronPress Zama simply has been adequately adapted to, and these shifts reflect Zama adjusting to deal with opposing setup sweepers and fairies a bit better.

2. Kingambit (24.50% vs 36.72%, +12.22%)

Another repeat performer, Kingambit continues to be a popular pokemon in all elo brackets but especially the 1825+ region. While most of SV OU continues to adapt and proliferate new strategies, Kingambit seems to be a more locked-in constant, with no new sets, spreads, or moves especially rising in popularity. Leftovers, Black Glasses, and Air Balloon continue to be the main trifecta of used items, and while most sets seem to be Adamant and investing in bulk, running Jolly and max speed retains a solid niche. It remains to be seen if anything can really knock Kingambit from its perch in the coming months, or if we've reached a stable equilibrium.

3. Glimmora (12.23% vs 20.26%, +8.03%)

Finally, a new face! The favoured lead for many Hyper Offensive teams in SV OU since the beginning, Glimmora had a great month in April, coming in at 6th in usage in the 1825+ bracket. Month-over-month, Glimmora has remained markedly stable in how it's used, but the 1825+ bracket loves Red Card quite a bit more, at 41.295% compared to to 15.172% in the general population. I suspect this is because Red Card can be tricky to use, requiring some prediction to be best used in displacing an opposing setup sweeper while switching into an attack that won't OHKO Glimmora. I wonder if much of this usage was pre-Volcarona ban, with how reliably Glimmora could take a fire-type attack from the moth and get rid of all its terrifying boosts. I'm a little surprised that Glimmora has thrived with the emergence of Fast Taunt Landorus-Therian with Earth Power, but perhaps Hyper Offensive teams have simply adapted and are now finding other leads that can adequately threaten Lando.

4. Roaring Moon (13.17% vs 21.04%, +7.87%)

Salamence's prehistoric cousin has been terrifying since it was unbanned with the advent of DLC2, but it continues to really come into its own. A ludicrously strong Knock Off can not only be leveraged to sweep teams but also break open cores for teammates to later abuse, and its typing and natural bulk gives Roaring Moon the ability to often find openings against mons like Gholdengo and Gliscor. Everyone agrees that Roaring Moon runs Booster Energy, Dragon Dance, Knock Off, and Acrobatics (with tera flying), but while the general population seems to enjoy Earthquake and then Taunt for that last moveslot, the 1825+ bracket has a mild preference for Taunt, with Brick Break narrowly edging Earthquake as the runner-up. I'm not positive whether this is more of a niche tool against screens or just the best option available against the ubiquitous Kingambit, but it's an interesting development that's only really taken off this month. As an aside, I'm quite surprised that Tera Flying + Acrobatics has persisted as not only the premier tera option for Roaring Moon, but realistically, the only option. Flying is an extremely good offensive type with few fat electrics around, but I'm a bit surprised that no specialized counter-teras have developed for Moon to beat some of its established checks such as Weavile and Dondozo.

5. Clefable (5.63% vs 13.32%, +7.69%)

This one did surprise me. While the happy pink blob (no, the other one) continues to fly largely under the radar amongst the general population, it's experiencing a breakout in the 1825+ bracket. I suspect this is because post-Volcarona ban, the metagame has gotten slightly fatter despite the presence of Waterpon and Kyurem, and Clefable fits excellently into many fat structures. Magic Guard is an amazing ability always, but especially in a hazard meta, and also makes Clefable one of SV OU's two premier knock absorbers alongside Gliscor. The support movepool is just as good as ever with Thunder Wave, Stealth Rock, Knock Off, Wish healer, and Calm Mind wincons all quite viable. Magic Guard and the prevalence of booster energy also makes Clefable an excellent user of Sticky Barb, which can attach itself to mons post-booster like Great Tusk and Roaring Moon, easily dooming their sweeps. The general population acknowledges this set with 13.93% Sticky Barb usage, but the 1825+ bracket expects it, with Sticky Barb as the #1 used item at 43.833%. The general population also seems to enjoy specially defensive Clefable sets quite a bit more - perhaps to better deal with Kyurem, albeit in a very risky way - while the 1825+ bracket leans into the Sticky Barb with physically defensive sets being ubiqutious. While Clefable has exploded in popularity, it does seem to be only on balance and fatter team comps, with its most common teammates being Gliscor (completing the knock absorption perimeter), Corviknight, Dragapult, Great Tusk, and Dondozo. If Clefable gets more usage on offensive teams, it'll truly be a sign that the SV OU meta has at long last started to slow down.
I'll also go over the 5 pokemon with the greatest usage drop between the general population and 1825+ bracket. If you see your favourites here, don't necessarily worry - they may still have realistic niches to fill on OU teams! But it is still good to analyze why certain pokemon will be favoured or disfavoured in certain environments.

1. Serperior (6.58% vs 1.44%, -5.14)

This is hardly a surprise anymore. While Serperior will have a certain floor of usage due to it's status as a starter pokemon and the allure of the Contrary + Leaf Storm combo, it's simply too pidgeonholed to exist much in the 1825+ bracket. Tera Blast is used around 60% in both environments, though I'm very curious if they tend to use the same tera type or if there's some difference. The slight boon of having a great matchup into Webs has also faded a bit as that playstyle has fallen off slightly, and with Rillaboom, Waterpon, and Grasspon providing plenty of grass-type attacking prowess, it seems unlikely Serperior will find a niche even with the exit of Volcarona. The real discussion is how Serperior will fare in UU come the June tier shifts, with many great answers such as Hydrapple and Tornadus-Therian seemingly poised to handle it.

2. Corviknight (10.69% vs 6.00%, -4.69%)

I'm not 100% sure why Corviknight remains popular amongst the general population while sliding in the 1825+ tier. It might be due to Lando-T taking its spot as a pivot, it might be because it simply doesn't wall things as hard as it wants to. Mirror Armor has a sizeable fanbase among the general population at 32.949%, but the 1825+ bracket practically ignores it at just 3.263% usage. In both environments, Corv is very predominantly physically defensive to better deal with threats such as Kingambit, SD Gliscor, and Roaring Moon. One absurd data point - Roost only has 90.999% usage in the general population. Is this a typo? Are there really 9% of people who don't use Roost on Corvinkight? I imagine even cheesy sets like Bulk Up + Power Trip would be running Roost. I have absolutely no idea what's going on here, and I suspect that looking too far into it will only induce madness.

3. Torkoal (6.91% vs 2.50%, -4.41%)

Torkoal is generally used to provide sunlight for Sun teams, but is rarely also run on trick room teams with Choice Specs to nuke everything with Eruption. Sun, among other 'gimmicky' Hyper Offense styles such as Webs, Trick Room, and other weathers, tend to be a bit less reliable up in the 1825+ bracket where teams are more sturdily built and nuking everything with force generally won't go quite as far. So it checks out that everyone's favourite sun turtle would get a bit more usage amongst the general population.

4. Cinderace (9.82% vs 6.13%, -3.70%)

Cinderace getting less usage in the 1825+ bracket represents the continuation of a philosophical shift to the hazard subgame. Hazards have been very difficult to remove conventionally this entire generation due to Gholdengo blocking most forms of removal. This means that previously, Cinderace having unblockable psuedo-removal in Court Change was an excellent workaround. Now however, offensive teams generally prefer to have their own hazards up and simply try to limit how many hazards get set up on their side of the field with tools like Fast Taunt Lando as well as the popularity of Glimmora and its Mortal Spin. I expect the general population will gradually catch up to this trend over time, though with Cinderace being a starter - and one banned in previous generations at that - it likely has a bit higher floor of usage than it would in a vacuum. I also note that the 1825+ bracket seems to try Blaze Cinderace a bit more, 26.526% vs 16.816%, with Blaze taking Pyro Ball from a very good attack to one that can really dent even bulkier mons.

5. Garchomp (4.18% vs 0.81%, -3.38%)

Another Pokemon whose general popularity is probably carrying it to decent usage among the general population, while the 1825+ bracket has moved on. It's slightly strange to me that SD + Scale Shot Garchomp sets have been completely absent from the meta, but perhaps that niche is simply not compelling enough with Roaring Moon, Gouging Fire, Kyurem, and even Haxorus as physically-attacking Dragon-type alternatives. What usage Chomp does get in 1825+ seems to be confined entirely to defensive hazard sets, with Rocky Helmet, Dragon Tail, and at least 1 hazard. But even in this use case, it's hard to find a real niche when Ting-Lu, Deoxys-Speed, Glimmora, and other great offensive hazard setters exist. I won't go so far as to say it's completely Garchover, but it may take a large meta shift on the back of a ban or two for Garchomp to find true OU usage again.
I hope this was an enjoyable follow-up to the previous post. Feedback is appreciated, let me know if I've missed anything this time!

2024.05.15 16:28 AdventurousSeeker192 3 Small-cap Gold Juniors to Take Notice of $ELEM $GLDR $SOMA

(The information on the three gold companies in this report is not definitive. Instead, this information will drive you to do more due diligence and make an investment decision.)
A different way to invest in gold is to look for great properties. If you bundle the three companies/properties in this piece, you could own three great properties collectively for under CDN2.00 a share.
https://preview.redd.it/r3ojx4rynl0d1.jpg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f188257532dc4ca3a50611b50bbde4ffa44ea47c
GOLDEN RAPTURE MINING (GLDR: CSE) is a collection of premier Ontario mining properties in the Rainy River region that have done enough work to unveil potential, below but left a significant amount of gold with great g/t numbers. As of this morning, some numbers will indeed up its profile. Considering the stock has been listed for about two weeks, these results are excellent. Forgive the length of the table, but given the quality of the results, investors must get the whole picture.
https://preview.redd.it/fzy13fb0ol0d1.png?width=833&format=png&auto=webp&s=a844bbabf8febd58fa858fe4f4d1b62f89c5f1c6
First, the newest, being listed in the last month, is Golden Rapture Gold. The Company intends to reactivate past mines in the Rainy River area of Ontario. The property is so new that management has only walked about 5% of it, but the numbers are already impressive over its two projects. The Company holds a 100% interest in the high-grade Phillips Township Gold Property, Rainy River District, NW Ontario. The land package totals 225 claim cells for approximately ten thousand acres located close to 4 mineral deposits. These assets include the New Gold Rainy River Mine (+8 million Oz.), the Cameron Lake Deposit (1.8 million Oz.), the Agnico Eagle-Hammond Reef deposit (3.3 million Oz.), the Tartisan Nickel, Copper, and Cobalt Deposit, and many others. Mature local infrastructure, workforce, heavy-duty equipment, hospitals, major highway systems, and local services are nearby.

Mr. Richard Rivet, CEO of Golden Rapture, commented: “I am incredibly pleased that we have just made some essential and rapid steps toward identifying additional high-grade drill-ready targets. We were pleasantly surprised to discover many high-grade quartz veins on the surface, with the majority of them carrying gold. Unlike many exploration companies, we are not just chasing the typical geophysical anomaly but also many vast high-grade gold structures identified on the surface that can be drilled at any time.

Ryan Yanch CIM, a director of GLDR, states***, ‘One extremely important fact is that GLDR’s drilling cost is an industry-leading CDN140 a meter. It is not unusual for other gold comp[anbies to spend CDN200-400 or more a meter. One major contributor to this is that one significant cost is the location of the drilling company. 17 km away from the properties significantly lowers the capital cost and allows a more robust drilling program”.***
Given the uniqueness and exceptional quality of GLDR’s properties, there could be excellent investor support. Gold is rallying, and the prospect of further rises may portend in the shadow of interest rate cuts.
Previous work on the properties quickly removes the ubiquitous ‘drill’ on the property or other tropes. These are serious businessmen and women with decades of mining and entrepreneurial experience.
In the world of junior mining IPOs, there is a feeling that the stars must align to profit. Au contraire***. The keys to investing success are the right properties, management, and, in this case, a rallying gold price.***

Element79 Gold Corp (the “Company”) (CSE: ELEM) (OTC: ELMGF) is a fascinating gold company and the second in our gold triumvirate located primarily in Peru through its flagship Lucero, Peru, property.
(Full Disclosure: James Tworek, CEO of Element79, is an adviser to the GLDR Board. Your humble scribe owns a small position in each Company.)
The past-producing Lucero Mine (“Lucero”) is one of the highest-grade underground mines in Peru’s history, with grades averaging 19.0g/t Au Equivalent (“Au Eq”) (14.0 g/t gold and 373 g/t silver).
https://preview.redd.it/of62jjsbol0d1.png?width=557&format=png&auto=webp&s=63799ac26087364b8afa847435d1ba86de0701d3
In its past 5 years of production, ending in 2005, it produced an average of 40,000oz+/yr.
Assays from March 2023 yielded 21-ore-grade and high-yield up to 11.7 ounces per ton of gold and 247 ounces per ton of silver from underground workings, further validating the potential for a significant high-grade future operation.
Consolidating its focus in this region and its impressive geology, ELEM acquired the Roxana Vein and surrounding 1200ha property, Lucero del Sur 28, via auction held on May 17, 2023. The property is located strategically just east of the high-grade Lucero gold-silver project.
Instead of going into much history, let’s look at the Press release ELEM put out on April 23. New assays were released, and CEO James Tworek stated, “The data obtained is not just promising; it’s the cornerstone upon which our future endeavours will be built,” said James Tworek, CEO of Element 79. “These recent results, coupled with historical data, represent the bedrock upon which we are advancing our Lucero project.”
Corporate Presentation.

From the PR: A total of 97 samples were sent for assays, 56 of which returned greater than 0.1 g/t gold (up to 8.55 g/t gold and 523 g/t silver. Several samples also were rich in base metals (up to 23.7% lead and 9.9% zinc), all of which underscores the richness of our project, further supporting the Company’s belief a robust resource base can be delineated. (Actual assay numbers are shown in the PR)
James C Tworek further states, “Element79 Gold has transformed from an asset amalgamator and seller to a near-term production story, responding to Peru’s government push for formalizing artisanal mining operations. We at Element79 Gold are thrilled to share our unwavering dedication to bringing our Lucero gold project in Peru into production. This past-producing, high-grade gold and silver mine holds immense potential to revitalize our Company and foster economic growth and prosperity in the region. “
The other ELEM property brings us back to North America. Nevada, to be precise. Reason to pay attention?

Maverick Springs is adjacent to the Carlin Trend. For the uninitiated, the area contains several of the largest gold mines on Earth. The area includes a number of the largest gold mines on Earth. Maverick Springs is a blind deposit comprising a 30-120 metre thick, flat-lying zone centred on an anticlinal structure with oxidation pervasive to 120 metres and intermittent to 270 metres. (5)
West Whistler property is in the same area as Maverick, closer to the Battle Mountain Trend, alongside Carlin: Near several gold deposits, including the Cortez Mine, North America’s third largest gold mine with 2021 gold production of 828,000 ounces.
Finally, the Clover Property, 16 km west of the massive Hecla Mine in the Northern Nevada Rift. The property sits at the top and centre of the Carlin and Battle Mountain Trends.
Nevada Gold’s active Turquoise Ridge Mine, the third largest gold mine in the United States with 537,000 ounces of gold production reported in 2020, as well as the Twin Creeks open pit mines and the dormant Pinson and Getchell mines.
Element 79 has drilling programs announced for the 2023/24 years and a more vigorous program for 2024/25.

As (GoldSilver.com) an aside, the gold price—and silver—have softened after particularly gold had a decent run. The first two in our group have slid a bit but seem to be holding in nicely.
If one follows gold forecasts, the pundits call for USD 2500-3000 over the next few years. The strategy is simple: A move to USD 3,000 represents a 50% appreciation. However, that also comes with physical and liquidity issues should you want to sell.
And the Gold price?
On December 30, 2022, gold closed the year at $1,819.70 per ounce. Flash forward to one year later, and gold closed 2023 at $2,062.40. That’s a gain of 13.3% in a single year.
With gold pushing to new record highs, it’s a fascinating time for gold investors.
Predicting the future of gold prices is never easy, but to offer some insights into what 2024 might hold, we’ve (compiled an array of gold price forecasts, outlooks, and predictions from renowned banks, industry experts, and financial analysts.
Let’s take a look.

Off we go to South America. This time, Columbia with SOMA Gold. (TSXV: SOMA) (WKN: A2P4DU) (OTC: SMAGF) (the “Company” or “Soma“) recently announced that gold production for Q1 2024 was 7,335 AuEq ounces, an increase of 8% over the same period in 2023.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

The Company owns two adjacent mining properties in Antioquia, Colombia, with a combined milling capacity of 675 tpd. (Permitted for 1,400 tpd). The El Bagre Mill is currently operating and producing. Internally generated funds are being used to finance a regional exploration program.

Soma is further ahead than our previous companies, which doesn’t make it better; it is just a different stage of development.

Properties
Cardero Mine
As mentioned, these three companies are similar in that they have what appear to be skookum properties. They are also all great gold proxies, and they all trade for under CDN1.00. Cheekily, I may have said that investors can own all three companies for under CDN 2.00 a share.
While I like the companies, I would buy them for their land positions. All have land that isn’t some dust pit but has either historical or proven assays. And most are near large producers. Element79; Nevada.Carlin Trend? Seriously?

2024.05.15 15:14 LoneWolfIndia Vamsy - A true maverick

Vamsy - A true maverick

https://preview.redd.it/1955409jzk0d1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=2fb405c24b6bca840fc355d86850257c83685fa3
It's actually hard to classify Vamsy as a director, while his movies have a very aesthetic feel, he combines it with a fast paced style of narration, rapid fire dialog and a very unconventional style of movie making. That is the reason why his style of movie making was not universally liked, much before Ram Gopal Varma or Sandeep Vanga, he was the true cult director. Or one should say an auteur.
His movies had his own distinctive style. good or bad, that was his trademark. And he covered different genres, from artistic( Sitara) to murder mysteries( Anveshana) to comedies( Ladies Tailor, April 1 Vidudala) to family dramas( Preminchu Pelladu). 4
His real name was Nallamilli Bavireddy and Vamsy was his pen name, that he choose for the screen too. His first movie Manchu Pallaki(1982) itself gave an indication of his talent.

https://preview.redd.it/9212af7o0l0d1.png?width=736&format=png&auto=webp&s=bd3bb778eab31b04ed1018f4439a3ef7307394bd
A story of 5 friends played by Chiru( in his early days), Rajendra Prasad, Saichand, Narayana Rao, Saichand and Girish( of Saptapadi) fame, whose life changes after they come in contact with Suhasini. It was a remake of the 1981 Tamizh movie Palaivana Solai, and though not a very big success, the movie gained lot of appreciation from the family audiences for it's very sensitive storytelling. It came as a breath of fresh air in Telugu cinema, that was getting saturated with routine movies.

https://preview.redd.it/7nbdxyri1l0d1.png?width=220&format=png&auto=webp&s=aff15a2e23dde274ae98e624b9533d647dfc415c
It was Sitara in 1984 that made everyone take notice of Vamsy, based on his own novel Mahal lo Kokila. The movie also marked Bhanu Priya's debut, as Sitara, a women on the move, who is helped by a kind hearted photographer Devadas( Subhalekha Sudhakar), and helps her to become a movie star later. However when she refuses to go to a particular village for a shooting, Devadas demands an explanation, and she recounts her rather painful past.
The movie straddles two different worlds that of the Zamindaris, and their false prestige, that makes them show off as wealthy, when in reality most of them are actually paupers, and that of the movie stars, and paparazzi. There is a lot to write about this movie, but couple of things, it has the very distinctive style of K.Viswanath in many scenes, under whom Vamsy worked as an assistant director.
And it began Vamsy's collaboration with Illayaraja, who would go on to compose some memorable songs for his movies later. As also the Godavari backdrop, being a native of that place, not many movie directors captured the region as well as Vamsy did, be it the natural beauty or the dialect or the traditions.
It also marked a very visual style of storytelling that would be a feature of most Vamsy movies going ahead. Also the beautiful sunrise and sunset shots, along the Godavari river, contrasting it with the rather claustrophobic atmosphere of the Zamindar Chander( Sarathbabu) mahal. Sitara went on to become one of the biggest hits of that year, as Bhanupriya became a star.

https://preview.redd.it/9nmnwmcd4l0d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=696fd262a3a8d580539c59784d23cb7ee10c8b01
It was with Anveshana that Vamsy came into his own, developing his very distinctive style of movie making. I had already written about it here in detail, but would like to point out that much before RGV in Shiva, Vamsy used the tracking shots to very good effect here, especially in the forest scenes.

https://preview.redd.it/tbj7egrt4l0d1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=6d2230564e08a810f894758c1682812e8ab7eb96
Preminchu Pelladu Rajendra Prasad's first movie as a leading hero, dealt with the clash between old and new. Satyanarayana plays Kurmavataram, a conservative, orthodox Brahmin, who is taught a lesson in humanist values by his grandson Rajendra Prasad, and his estranged grand daughter Bhanupriya. Quite a good movie, had a memorable soundtrack by Illayaraja with songs like "Vayyari Godaramma", "Gopemmma Chethilo", "Nirantharam Vasanthamu", "Nee Chaitra Veena" remaining memorable today.
His next movie Aalapana was not that great with a very disjointed narration, and trying to be a cross between an artistic movie and a thriller, fell in between. However Illayaraja's score was usual great in this movie.

https://preview.redd.it/irmgr9rn5l0d1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=208996a17ba7472498124ade440a03b5b540a7c9
It was Ladies Tailor, that would turn out to be a true cult movie. The story of a tailor Sundaram( Rajendra Prasad) who wants to get rich quick, and follows the advice of an astrologer who predicts that a lady with a mole on her thigh would be fortunate for him. While set in the Godavari region, the narration was totally different, with more risque double meaning dialog, the typical Godavari Yaasa spoken among the working class. And characters like Battala Satyam( Mallikarjuna Rao), Sitaramudu( Subhalekha Sudhakar), the hero's sidekicks, the school teacher Sujatha( Archana), the 3 women Nagamani( Y Vijaya), Neelaveni( Sandhya), Daiya( Deepa) whom the hero chases around, the village head Venkataratnam( Pradeep Sakthi) who hates lovers after a guy duped his sister.
The movie was a true cult flick, that polarized audiences, the college students, youth loved it, while the family audiences hated it. But over the years it has become a cult classic of sorts, and once again a memorable score from Illayaraja with a series of superhit songs "Gopilola", "Porabatidi", "Ekkada Ekkada", "Hayamma Hayamma".

https://preview.redd.it/3s3ikjq97l0d1.png?width=220&format=png&auto=webp&s=7526167ee734cec685369b01bfe88c686a86f350
His next movie Lawyer Suhasini was a disappointment in many ways, again Maharshi was one of those "You hate it or love it" kind of movies. The story of unrequited one sided love, of the title character who pursues the woman he loves Suchitra( Shantipriya). It was the Arjun Reddy of those times, and most audiences did not like the style of narration or the rather down beat ending, as the movie flopped. It however had a great score again by Illayaraja with songs like "Sumam Prati Sumam", "Maata Raani Mounam".

Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi Recording Dance Troupe to me again one of his best movies ever, set against the backdrop of the recording dance troupes, with a love story thrown in between. The movie was a complete fun ride, with dialogues set in typical Godavari Yaasa, and memorable performances by Naresh, Kota, Mallikarjuna Rao, Ralapalli, Thanikella Bharani, Y.Vijaya. Great soundtrack again by Illayaraja where he also uses old songs of NTR, ANR, Krishna to good effect.

Chettu Kinda Pleader was another superb comic thriller, and for a change Vamsy sets the movie in Tirupathi. Remake of the Malayalam movie Thanthram, the movie has Rajendraprasad as Balaraju, a down and out lawyer, who gets to fight the case of a rich widow Sujatha( Urvasi), when her father in law Sarabayya( Gollapudi) files a suit claiming the property is his legally. Vamsy wonderfully combines comedy with drama and thriller, creating a really entertaining movie. Somehow it was not much of a success when released, but in later years has become a favorite on video, DVD. Again a superb musical score by Illayaraja with songs like "Jigijigaa", "Allibili Kalala", "Neeru gaari paari poku", "Chalti ka Naam Gaadi".

April 1 Vidudula would be Vamsy's last really great movie starring Rajendra Prasad as a smooth talking videographer Diwakaram, who lies, cheats his way to success. His life takes a turn when the woman he loves Bhuvaneshwari( Shobana) puts a condition that he should not tell any lies for one month, and should speak only truth, throwing everything into turmoil. Setting against backdrop of Rajahmundry Railway Quarters, the movie combines comedy and drama effectively, and went on to become one of the biggest hits in his career. Again a superb score by Illayaraja with songs like "Vompula Vaikhiri", " Nijamante", "Chukkalu Temanna", "Okate Aasa".

However Detective Narada with Mohan Babu turned out to be a huge disappointment, as the movie bombed badly. And with Joker, he stopped his collaboration with Ilayaraja and composed the music himself, which in a way started his decline. Vamsy's movies were not the same without Illayaraja, and a series of very disappointing movies followed. Even though he did make a comeback in 2002 with Avunu Vallidaru Ishtapaddaru, it was nowhere close to his earlier classics.
Apart from being a director, Vamsy is also a great writer, he wrote 5 novels, and around 360 short stories in Telugu. His series of stories Maa Pasarlapudi Kathalu, Maa Diguva Godavari Kathalu are a wonderful depiction of life in rural Godavari districts, on par with RK Narayan's Malgudi Days. Not many explored Godavari districts as intimately as he did covering the world of recording dance troupe artists, railway quarters, villages, creating characters with all the quirks, eccentricities, faults who remain memorable to date.
