2024.05.19 18:26 Significant_Copy_953 Has anyone canceled the sale before the transfer? Were you charged?

My situation is next: I listed my Eras Tour ticket bought on eBilet platform where tickets become available only 14 days before the show, for security reasons, I guess, tickets carry the owner's name. I saw the form for changing the data on the ticket in eBilet Profile before listing the ticket thinking it would not be a big deal, right? Wrong, so a couple of days ago I found out that this form will not be applied to the Eras Tour meaning you can't change the name on the ticket in your account. There is a way via email to apply for a name change but to be approved you have to give them document proof of a serious enough reason for the ticket owner to not attend the event, and even if it is approved you will be charged a fee. I decided not to put myself and the buyer in trouble by not being able to deliver the ticket with the changed name and canceled the sale now so that this person would have enough time to buy another ticket. The transfer has not happened as the tickets will only be available at the end of July (aka the transfer deadline on Stubhub) and no money were received by me. Will I be charged a fee?

2024.05.17 22:42 wondergirl_77 Pointers for ticket resale for NCT Dream Singapore

Hi all, not sure if I’m using the correct flair as this is my first time posting. I have two tickets for NCT Dream Singapore (floor seats - cat1) June 29 which I want to sell. I’m from a nearby SE Asian country and due to visa issues I won’t be able to make it. I don’t want to waste my money and would like to sell my tickets. Any pointers where I can sell them safely? I tried looking into stubhub, viagogo etc. but they charge a huge overhead so I was wondering if there are any other options for me?

2024.05.17 15:49 SquareImperfect MLB tickets - Delay in processing your barcode - then sales cancelled

I have been selling the same MLB (baseball) tickets for years (same venue, same section). I had 3 recent sales, all from the same listing ID, so the same event, same section.
This time when entering the barcodes I got an error "Please Enter a Valid Barcode". I tried multiple times and on different browsers and nothing worked. I contacted customer service who asked me to email pictures of the tickets with the barcode, which I immediately did. I had originally purchased these tickets directly from the venue box office so they are definitely legitimate.
Shortly after this I received 3 emails (one for each order):
Subject: Delay in processing your barcode Text: Unfortunately there is a delay in processing your barcode. Don't worry! We're working on it and we will let you know if we need anything further.
I follow up with customer service on the morning of the event and am told that the Stubhub integration team is still working on this and there is nothing I need to do.
Then a few hours before the event I receive emails that 2 of the 3 orders are cancelled. The 3rd order does process successfully.
Now I have been charged a penalty of 100% of the cost for the 2 cancelled orders (around $1,000) and given that I did not receive the $1,000 which I was actually owed for the sale, I am effectively out $2,000. The $1,000 charge was debited from the proceeds from some other sales so it's not like there is a credit card charge which I can dispute.
I opened a case with Stubhub which was denied a few days later, claiming that I did not meet the terms of the sale.
I then called customer service to dispute this and they said the decision is final and that the case notes say that MLB said the barcodes were not valid. This is impossible as 1 of the 3 orders was processed successfully (again, the tickets were all in a row for the same event). I am assuming that Stubhub just didn't manually fix 2 of the 3 orders.
Any experience with something similar or advice on next steps? Thanks!

2024.05.16 20:29 Glittering_Public_86 Selling 3 tickets to Holly for tomorrow in Chicago - face value or best offer

Hey there! I'm selling holly tickets i got my partner as a bday gift. Not a scalper - she is working too late, and im not a big enough fan to go without her! They were 135 total for me, but I'm seeing Stubhub's best price is $40 rn, so we can do that for each ticket and save eachother the fees they charge buyers and sellers!
We can do Paypal Goods and Services and then transfer the tix via AXS Transfer! (Paypal Goods and Services protects both seller and buyer!)
Comment or message me if interested!

Help shuttle pass at home
Ok so here’s the deal I left my shuttle passes at home that I got from Stubhub. Unfortunately they can’t do anything about it the actual event since third party.
I did sell my original passds through stubhub and can go to will call and get a those replaced. But since they have been sold to other people. Will those people I told to get screwed? Also if they cannot use the passes anymore will Stubhub charge me for that or find them other tickets?

2024.05.15 12:02 Rare-Ad-7934 stubhub charge

I tried selling Taylor Swift tickets on Stubhub, that I do have. However I was not logged into the email that my StubHub account was attached to and did not receive any of their emails until my order was already cancelled for not providing the tickets in a timely manner. This was yesterday, and the show is on Sunday, so I still had 5 days before the show. It is one thing (highly inconvenient) that my order was cancelled as my payout is now way less (I've since sold 3 of the 4 tickets again for a lower price), but they are charging me $1200 that I simply do not have in fees for the cancellation. I am a college student selling Taylor Swift tickets that I was planning on attending in order to have extra money to pay my rent. I do not have $1200 to pay in these fees and that is hundreds of dollars more than I was even going to get paid for the tickets. Please help me and tell me if there is anything I can do to not incur these fees. Thank you. Any help would be highly appreciated

2024.05.15 01:46 SpaceCatPunk My experience with StubHub (Real Madrid football match)

I kept checking the official Real Madrid website for the ticket release but still missed it (probably sold out quickly due to scalpers) so I had no choice but to try StubHub (at increased price of course) as I already booked a trip to Madrid mainly to see the game.
It was a gamble really. Around €200 including fees and the seller is supposed to contact me to pass over tickets in person outside the venue on event day. There was no way to verify any of it was going to take place. Amazingly, 2 days before the event the seller contacted me on WhatsApp (without knowing beforehand that I use WhatsApp) to arrange the pickup. Met the guy outside the stadium 2 hours before kickoff, and I wasn’t the only buyer waiting for him. I think he had met about 4 or 5 groups. The ticket is someone else’s season pass, some sort of touch card with a name (not his). Therefore I needed to meet him again after the game to return the card. He said that I can keep his contact if I want to see another game in the future, and he would be able to give me a better price as there would be no StubHub charges for both of us.
All in all StubHub worked smoothly though obviously the experience would probably differ for everyone. As I said, it was a gamble and I think I just lucked out. I would much prefer to buy from official sources. Anyway, hope this post helps somebody.
P/S: Spoke to a scalper outside the venue who said he was selling a ticket for €70. Not sure how true that was cos I think the lowest price I saw on the official website was €75.

2024.05.14 16:24 NoSite3062 Concert tickets are such a scam right now

Both VividSeats and StubHub want to charge me nearly the cost of a ticket to go see Chappell Roan in service fees. Ticketmaster is completely broken, and each time I click on a ticket, it says "select new tickets!".
Not to mention, I see people STILL getting scammed out of their tickets on StubHub after purchasing, as well as StubHub not honoring the refund up to 3 days before the concert.
The best part is, now that I've posted this, I'll have several DMs from scammers selling me the same seat for a concert right here on Reddit. What's the point anymore? Wasn't there supposed to be some crackdown on junk ticket fees?

2024.05.14 06:43 softcorelogos2 Not a regular ticket buyer/seller, feeling very burned

In the fall, my mother purchased 5 tickets for an event on Ticketmaster. The event was rescheduled, and we weren't sure if we were going to be able to go. After the refund window closed, we learned we wouldn't be able to go. I was tasked with reselling them. This might literally be the first time I have ever used Ticketmaster, and had no idea how tickets are resold in the digital age. I listed them on Craigslist, Stubhub, and Ticketmaster's own resell service. Didn't hear anything until a couple days ago, when in close proximity I received sales on both Stubhub (for all 5) and Ticketmaster (for just 2). The Ticketmaster sale (just 2 tickets) seemed to go through automatically. The problem is that Stubhub says I'm now committed to provide the 5 tickets or they will charge me the full amount plus more fees on top. I know this is on me for not reading the terms and conditions more carefully but I'm still shocked at the policy.
Wondering if anyone has navigated similar experiences.

2024.05.13 20:04 Low-Beyond2083 Three (REAL!!) VIP Taylor Swift tickets - June 21st, Wembley Stadium

Three (REAL!!) VIP Taylor Swift tickets - June 21st, Wembley Stadium
Hii!! I don't usually use Reddit and haven't posted before, but I have three Taylor Swift tickets available for June 21st at Wembley Stadium. I was lucky enough to get the access code so purchased four tickets for myself and others who are no longer available.
The AXS deadline to resell these tickets was apparently 9th April as they are VIP - 2 of the tickets are the It's Been a Long Time Coming package and 1 is the Karma Is My Boyfriend package - both include early entry to the venue. I think the merch boxes will be posted to my address, unless if I can get this changed, so if you would like your merch, I can get it posted to you, or your closest InPost or Amazon locker. Tickets will be transferred to the buyers' names as soon as transferring is made available, and I don't think we'll need to meet in person before entry.
Includes on-Site VIP Perks, including VIP Priority check-in, separate VIP Entrance, and Early Venue Entry and Crowd-Free VIP Merchandise Shopping Opportunity
For anyone who would like to buy, I can provide whatever proof you'd like (i.e. screen recordings, Instagram account, Facetime) that I'm a real person and that I have the tickets, within reason of course.
Payment will be through PayPal Goods and Services ONLY.
  • It's Been a Long Time Coming package (reserved seat) - cost to buy approx. £800 to £950
    • section 122, row 8, seat 294, and section 211, row 7, seat 247
    • face price was £665.25 each
    • currently £2397 and £3012 on Stubhub, and £1140 and £2035 respectively on Viagogo
  • Karma Is My Boyfriend package (standing) - cost to buy approx. £550 to £750 - not completely sure if I'm selling this ticket as I might convince a friend to buy and come with me, but if anyone's interested I will hurry up and confirm
    • front right standing
    • face price was £388.83
    • currently £1205 on Stubhub and £727 on Viagogo
  • Prices might be adjusted

AXS Screenshot - I can provide more screenshots/screen recordings upon request.
If the tickets don't sell here, I will be putting them on Viagogo or Stubhub, unless if anybody knows better sites. My only concern is that if buyers on these sites go to the concert, but then claim they were denied entry and send any evidence that appears realistic, I will be charged to compensate - I don't know how strictly this is monitored but having spoken with customer service and looking at T&Cs, it seems like they always take the buyer's side and I was told there's "always risk" when reselling tickets.
Sorry this is wordy - let me know if you're interested or have any tips for doing this properly :)

2024.05.10 05:08 popcornjointslic Stubhub or Stubhub International?

Hi,
thanks in advance! I unfortunately can’t make a concert I’ve been really looking forward to in Sweden. I tried finding a Reddit buyer but it is really difficult to find people who follow through/ sorting through scammers. Does anyone have experience selling their tickets for a show taking place in Sweden but lives in the US? Did you list on SH or SH international? Finally, Stubhub is saying they’ll payout in Kronas. I think my bank would charge a exchange fee on that, do you know if PayPal does? Thanks for any insight & taking the time.

2024.05.10 03:44 tmoney896 What should I do?

So I posted a ticket to sell for Sueños in Chicago on stubhub. I listed a ticket to sell for Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, the wristband I have is for both days (2 days GA). Somebody bought the ticket for just Saturday. I called stubhub and communicated to them that I fucked up listing the tickets as separate. I told them I don’t want to mail the wristband because I would essentially be giving this person a free ticket to the concert on sunday. They told me if I don’t they will charge my card for the cost of the ticket. What should I do?
Update for anyone interested: Stub hub canceled my order and charge me the full price of the ticket.

2024.05.09 04:57 neuroreed Venue Change and Seating Change via StubHub

Has anyone dealt with this before? I had 8th row seats that I bought through StubHub and the venue just changed yesterday. A lot of people are now saying that the new tickets will be in the nosebleed section of the new arena.
Just got an email from SH with this: - Your ticket(s) will be delivered in time for the event. - Your seat(s) will be comparable to what you originally purchased. - Please monitor your StubHub account or the original method of delivery for the reissued ticket(s). - Please discard any ticket(s) already received the updated ticket barcode(s) from the new ticket(s) for the relocation must be scanned at the event.
Has anyone dealt with this? I 100% want a refund/dispute my credit card if they give me tickets in the nosebleeds which are NOT comparable to the 8th row seats that I originally bought. General on sale for this event (with the new seats) go on sale tomorrow morning which I may just bite the bullet and buy it through them.
Been back and forth with StubHub and Ticketmaster (who now is in charge of new venue) and nobody can tell me where my new seats are.
Anyone have experience with this? Charging back my credit card since my original ticket/barcode is not what I bought. I wouldn’t have paid the same amount ($300+) for nosebleed tickets.

I am so distraught about this. I wanted lawn tickets that cost $50 at this venue for others I know, but they were sold out so I decided to try stubhub. I ended up paying $265 (the tickets incurred a total fee of $60) , then my friend cancelled and I ended up not being able to find anyone to go with so I resold them using stubhub. I followed the instructions to sell them, and when creating the listing I left the browser in order to look for the order ID in my email, and when I returned the listing form was empty, so because of that I accidentally listed three tickets (one for $100 and two for $101 each). I made my price based on the website's recommendations and was aware that I would already be losing $75 if both my tickets sold for $101 each, as stubhub takes a tax off your sale, but I just wanted most of my money back ASAP. They apparently not reimburse until 5-8 business days after the event, which is my fault for having ignored, but then when I went to contact customer service about a notification that showed up saying that I may have duplicate listings, the CS worker said that I "mustn't worry" and that my "case would be moved to the top of the list". I faced extra confusion after this because I was trying to follow stubhub's guidelines for transferring my tickets, and I never got a clear indication from them, or the site where my tickets were purchased from, that my tickets had successfully been transferred. Then the next day I was notified that one of my tickets had sold, so I followed the instructions to cancel the transfer I had been prompted to make by stubhub, and re-transferred one ticket to the recipient. Then like 20 minutes later I got notified that two of my tickets had been sold, and I was confused because I only ever purchased two tickets for the show, via stubhub or otherwise. I called customer support again only to have the first agent put me on hold for a long time and then eventually transfer me to another CS agent who informed me that not only would I be charged for the additional ticket I never owned to begin with, but that the previous agent I had spoken to the night before did not actually take any action to resolve the duplicate issue. So now I am out $175 and some change on tickets that should have been $50 each. I am only 20 years old but I have never had such a negative customer service experience, and I feel like I have been scammed by this service. I will likely never use any third party ticket buying/selling services and I most definitely will not buy or sell with stubhub again. I'm in college so it will take a while to financially recover from this and the event isn't for a month, so I couldn't have had a worse experience or made a worse mistake by using stubhub.

2024.05.03 02:30 twinkyvampire Should I dispute the charge?

I recently purchased tickets for a concert on a third party website (Stubhub. I researched it beforehand and found that it's reputable) but found out that the band has made it so that tickets are non-transferable. Which means there's a very low likelihood of me getting into the concert/getting my tickets. I contacted the venue and they said there's no guarantee of me getting into the concert, and Stubhub is telling me that the only way for me to get into the concert is if the scalper I bought the ticket from walks me through the gate.
So all in all, there's a low chance of me getting into the concert. I've contacted stubhub and they won't give me a refund until I've been denied at the door or the concert is canceled. I want my money back so I can hunt down actual tickets, would it be worth my time to try and dispute the charge with my bank?
