I just signed up for these site a couple of day ago and want to make sure I've got it all set up correctly.
I went to RevU via RewardXP but can't see how to redeem points on RevU - do RevU points always go directly go RewardXP (or whatever GPT site is used)?
I've had LootTV running all night while I slept, but I didn't gain any LootGems or any other sort of points that I can see. Is there an up-to-date guide to making this work?
Finally, I've also set up PixelPointTV (formally Hideout TV) but I cannot get it to acknowledge my RewardXP account. I click Link New Account in the Linked Account section, select RewardXP and it takes me straight to RXP. But PPTV doesn't make my RXP account available for linking. I've even tried in an Incognitio window so that I have to log in to PPTV and RXP but nothing. Any tips?

Really concerning since I use iCloud as my primary email. People send me attachment files, but whenever I try to download them on Windows, they always download corrupted - PDF, DOC, XLX. The data becomes completely garbled. I know that the files are intact and okay because they open just fine on my iPhone (and I can successfully save it from the phone to my cloud storage), but they never download correctly from a Windows PC.
Is there any clue as to why this happens? Is Apple purposefully locking files behind some sort of OS-specific format/encryption?

It all starts with one of the worst PC habits I wish I never learned.
I'm hesitant to even share this hotkey but if you hold SHIFT+DEL on Windows, it'll completely delete your selected file instead of sending it to the recycle bin.
I'm very OCD-levels of tidy to a fault and for the past year, I started to incorporate this hotkey more and more in my normal workflow. It became second nature. My peanut brain the entire time thought, "Wow, I'm shaving seconds off and being more efficient!"
Fast forward to today. Working on a game project for the past 2 months. For the first time ever, I ran into an error with my local repo. After spending half the day frustratingly troubleshooting to no avail, I decided, "Fuck it, I'll just delete my local repo and clone from scratch".
SHIFT+DEL
+200,000 files deleted. -100 GB. Giant sigh of relief. Feels real good like I just took a massive dump. I grunt in satisfaction. I clone a new repo. Takes a while to download so I open my programs to get back to work.
Dialog box pops up:

[Project management] The selected location 'C:/Project/blahblah/file' doesn't exist!

-- then it dawned on me that I kept my source folder which had all my raw data inside that same directory. I instantly install Recuva in hopes to restore the files I need (as the drive is already being rewritten by the new cloned repo).
Worst part is I fucking hate this hotkey but I still keep using it because I'm conditioned to and Windows has no option to disable this key. Please help.
TL;DR Tried to be efficient and shave off seconds by learning a horrible Windows hotkey. Ended up accidentally deleting a week's worth of work.

I'm quite new to MSFS and I don't really yet have an good understanding regarding all the dozens of add-ons, 3rd party apps and all the rest of it, I often don't even understand the jargon even though I watched a number of tutorials. So please forgive me, since this is probably something that is asked and answered with some regularity.
I am playing on my PC running Windows 10. However, I also have a MacBook Pro and an iPad Pro available which I guess would come in extremely handy to use as second and thirds screens, so I could, for instance, have my FMC on the iPad and a chart or a map on the MacBook while displaying the regular views on the big screen. Of course I could download the chart for a given airport and open it up as a PDF on one the peripheral devices but what I'd really be interested in is getting dynamic info across devices - meaning the flight map on my MacBook would be in sync with MSFS running on the PC. I'm currently basically only flying the FlyByWire A320neo.
Knowing the usual issues of communication between different operating systems, I'm not overly optimistic that there is a good solution, I have to say - however I wanted to make sure, because, after all, I'm logged into Navigraph/SimBrief (I have a subscription) on all my devices and they are all connected to the same network...so, strictly speaking, they should be able to talk to each other, at least over http (?). Since I can upload my flight plan from SimBrief to MSFS, isn't there maybe a solution for at least having the VFR map moved to my iPad or something? Maybe ATC comms as well? They do take up quite a bit of my primary screen real estate (even though it's 4k), and I physically can't put another standard PC monitor on my desk.
Anyway, maybe someone can give me a hint or tell me whether or not that is possible and, if possible, how to set it up?

Hi folks,
So I turned my laptop on, I’m not sure the model but it’s an MSI gaming laptop with i7 7th gen cpu, and I get a blank screen with the cursor. Eventually after a minute or so I get the unusual login screen which is white has widgets no login bar and a pixelated “windows sign-in” in the top left corner and whenever I press any button or click the touchpad it goes back to the blank screen with the cursor. I have removed all external devices and it’s still the same. I have a feeling it may have something to do with Fallout 4, there was an update released for it which was known to cause problems with modded versions of the game, which is the version I had. I kept cancelling the download but it kept slowly downloading everytime I opened steam. I think it may have eventually completed the download. I have never had any software or major issues with this laptop since I got it which was around 2016/17 I believe
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as to the problem? It’s a nightmare because it has all my work on a lot of which is not backed up.

Cross-compiled binary as main replacement did not work, but in folder retro there is the "init" file, you can insert a few lines after "modprobe joydev" and the rest. E.g. "cat /proc/cpuinfo > /usretro/info.txt" will write the cpuinfo into the retro folder after next start. "cat /proc/meminfo > /usretro/info2.txt" etc. I am using notepad++ which leaves the line endings intact (different between linux and windows). And don't forget to make an image from the original card, just in case.
Very minimal linux, just busybox. What a pity, could be a great device with second core and more than 64mb ram. It has half as much ram as SF2000 and the cpu is just on par. Dunno if it is the GeneralPlus 660 Mhz one overclocked to 800 mhz (no clock info) or maybe V.R.T. used the GeneralPlus Cortex-A7 and 2D accelerator stuff on their VT-569 which is assumed to have legacy V.R.T. famiclone technology. The linux seems to use direct framebuffer output, at least during startup. GPA7XXXA Device Tree is is used accordin g to cpuinfo and there only is GPA7740A out. BTW, there is an SDK for that chip that can be downloaded.
Question is if it really is the GeneralPlus. There is info under /proc/device-tree, eg /proc/device-tree/model, returns GeneralPlus EMU Board or something like that. Also somewhere under /proc/device-tree there is a gpu. So yes, you are right, it should be the GeneralPlus one with GPU. There is a datasheet for the GPA7740A stating 3D GPU OpenGL ES 2.0, OpenVG 1.1, 22 Mtriangle/s, 112Mpixel/s. Wonder if the GPDLAv2 "deep learning accelerator" is also onboard. I think yes, probably that is just some kind of dsp or something like that, could accelerate some stuff. Programmable system PLL frequency from 216 Mhz to 1188 Mhz. Who knows, maybe they just clock the chip very high for PSX? Lots of 2D acceleration features too. Yoshis Island running very nicely, Kirby 3 not starting.
There is a newebetter one I think not listed yet on their homepage, but that one seems to be available only in BGA format and not QFP. The [V.R.Technology](javascript:void(0);) VT-569 is rumoured to be compatible with VT03/VT369 and those are famiclone chip compatible (nes on a chip). A single link on the web, nothing more.
I have the cpu clock: cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/of_node/clock-frequency > /usretro/info1.txt hexedit of info1.txt shows: 27B25A80, convert to decimal: 666,000,000 = 666 Mhz, so it really seems to be the GeneralPlus chip where we know we can set the cpu clock from 216 Mhz up to 1188 Mhz. It has 1 core less than the Miyoo Mini, 64MB versus 128MB Ram but a 2.5 D graphics accelerator (comparable or better than the Sigmastar 2D accelerator the Miyoo Mini has) AND a 3D GPU. Also GeneralPlus has tech demos on youtube, they seem to be able to make a lot of things happen with minimum cpu clock.
GPU is not visible from within linux, you have to load the kernel modules like in /gpu_[env.sh](javascript:void(0);). It is a Vivante, possibly GC Nano + GC320. I suspect there might be an additional Cortex-M, would show up ad remoteproc, but I do not know how to setup. Next steps would be getting a remote terminal via getty on ttyUSB with a crossover usb nullmodem cable.

I suspected it would be similar to those "Gamestick Lite 4K" devices, because the sdcard layout is very similar what I have seen.
If, big IF, the prices would go down to SF2000 levels, it would be a nice device, I like the controls and the haptic is not too shabby.

Hello everyone,
Two years ago, I bricked my laptop BIOS because of force-removing the battery and AC adapter during BIOS update, then I bought the CH341A SPI programmer to reflash it myself, using the correct firmware for the laptop model downloaded from the official ASUS website, and the laptop went back to life. Because I had no plan to hackintosh the laptop at that time, I didn’t aware of how important the Intel Management Engine Interface is. Now, I have plan to hackintosh it, and in order to make the QE/CI hardware acceleration work, I have to bring back the Intel ME. But, when I checked it through the Windows Device Manager, the Intel ME was missing.
Few days later, I planned to clear the ME region of the firmware before flashing it using the same chip programming device, and the ME also finally brought back yesterday. But the onboard ethernet adapter had a little bit malfunction. It’s detected in Device Manager, like there’s no problem at all, but it won’t recognize the LAN cable at all. Reflashed again with the previous firmware without Intel ME, the ethernet LAN cable worked again.
The important thing is, I want to make both Intel ME and the Ethernet fully working like before the brick two years ago. Anyone has the solution?
Note: I also don't forget to clear the CMOS every after reflashing.

Out of nothing, a program called "Campaign Manager" opened over the full screen and showed the following. This appeared while watching netflix without downloading anything in the last few hours. Where did it come from?

I've been looking for something like this for a long time and I am astounded and frustrated nobody has made anything like this. I found plenty of people asking for this, but no one actually showed a solution.
I stream with friends on twitch as we are in a discord call, and they will often post pictures in discord, but there was no way for me to easily show the picture on stream without toggling the entire discord window so twitch chat can actually see what we are talking about. What I wanted was some way for it to be automated, at least as much as possible.
Through the use of a custom discord bot, I was able to make something work.
Before I get into how to make this work, let me briefly explain how it works so you can tell if this is something you're willing to do. I will be highlighting all areas you need to fill out. The rest is mostly copy paste.
Discord Bot has reading access to a discord channel of your choice>a code tells the bot to monitor this discord channel for image links and image attachments>Upon detecting a new image, the bot will edit an HTML file somewhere on your computer with the link to the image along with some other things to make it readable for OBS>OBS uses that HTML file as a local browser source.
The only potential issue here that can benefit from some improvements is the source will not properly update unless you hide and then unhide the source. If its already hidden, simply unhiding it will prompt the correct image. (Just be sure the source has "Shutdown source when not visible" enabled, to allow it to update and take less resources while not visible) I simply made this a hotkey to easily toggle the source, however there is a way to create an OBS script that will automatically hide the source after a period of time, and reveal it upon updating, I was unsuccessful in this though.
To get this to work, you will only need to create 2 text files, paste some code, and change 3 lines to match your details so it properly links to the correct channel, bot, files, etc. I will highlight these things so you wont have to go searching.
1. CREATE YOUR DISCORD BOT
-Go to https://discord.com/developers/applications -Hit "New Application" at the top right, accept terms and name it whatever you want. -On the left under Settings/Installation be sure User Install and Guild Install are checked. -Navigate to the "Bot" tab on the left and turn OFF "Public Bot" and turn ON "Message Content Intent" -Head over to the "OAuth2" tab on the left. -Under "OAuth2 URL Generator" You will see a big list of "scopes" All you need is to check "bot" -A new portion will be revealed called "Bot Permissions". For simplicity sake since you can give it "Administrator". If you are concerned about security, you can check off only what would be needed like read messages and maybe read message history. This area you will have to experiment to see what is absolutely needed. -Copy the generated URL and paste it into your browser and select what server you would like to add it to. -Once added it should have all the needed permissions to do its job, but double check roles and default permissions to make sure its not conflicting with anything on your server. -Go back to the "Bot" tab on the left and hit the "Reset Token" button. You will be given a code. (Copy and paste this somewhere for you to refer to later.)
2. PYTHON (DONT PANIC) You barely need to mess with it.
-Head over to https://www.python.org/downloads/ and download the latest version. -When installing, make sure to check the box that says "Add Python X.X to PATH" during the installation process. This ensures that Python is added to your system's PATH environment variable, allowing you to run Python from the command line. (Just stay with me here, its not as bad as it sounds) Otherwise if you don't see this, its fine.
-Open Command Prompt as an administrator.

• Enter the following command: pip install discord
• That's about it for python.

3. CREATE THE CODE (PASTE IT)
-Create a new text file and name it "discord_bot.py" (Be sure to change the file extension from .txt to .py) -Right click the file and hit "open with" and select notepad. -Go ahead and paste the following code into the file:

-A few lines into the code you will see three lines that read:
'YOUR BOT TOKEN HERE' 'YOUR CHANNEL ID HERE' -and- 'YOUR TEXT FILE PATH'
-You need to replace these. Refer to your token you saved earlier and paste it in place of YOUR BOT TOKEN HERE. When you replace it, it should still have the (') at each end. Example: TOKEN = 'adnlkn34okln2oinmfdksanf342'
-For the Channel ID, head over to Discord>Settings(cogwheel bottom left)>advanced and turn on Developer Mode. -Head over to the Server where you want OBS to grab from and where you invited the bot. -Right click the text Channel you want OBS to grab pictures from and hit "Copy Channel ID" -Go back to the text file with the code and paste the ID you just copied place of YOUR CHANNEL ID HERE. (again make sure not to delete ' ' in the process.
So far we have the Bot Token and the Channel ID done.
-We need to create another text file. Create one and find a place to save it where you'll remember it. Somewhere like your documents folder will work fine. -Name it whatever you want, but be sure to save it as a .HTML file, rather than a .txt file. (for the sake of the tutorial, lets assume you named it "showimage.html" ) *-*Right click the html file you just made and click properties -Here you can see the file "Location". Go ahead and copy it. -Go back to that discord_bot.py file and replace YOUR TEXT FILE PATH with the address you just copied.
HOWEVER: BE SURE TO ADD EXTRA SLASHES TO THIS. I DONT KNOW WHY BUT ITS NEEDED. Example: TEXT_FILE_PATH = 'C:\\Users\\YOURNAME\\OneDrive\\Desktop'
There. The code is finished so go ahead and save it. Now you need to implement it into OBS
4. OBS BROWSER SOURCE
-Go ahead and open OBS. Go to your desired Scene and create a new Source, and make it a Browser Source. -I made the width and height 600x600, but you can adjust it once we get a picture on screen. -Toggle ON "Local File" and "Shutdown source when not visible" -For the local file, browse your computer for that "showimage.html" file we made earlier and select it.
5. (FINAL) LAUNCH THE BOT
We are almost done. You will have to launch this bot every time you want this image thing to work, so maybe save this last part on a note.
-Type CMD in your start menu on windows. -Right click "Command Prompt" and hit "Run as administrator" -Navigate to where the discord_bot.py file you made was saved. You can do this by typing "cd" followed by the address and hitting enter
Example: cd C:\Users\YOURNAME\OneDrive\Desktop Enter\*
-Then type: python discord_bot.py Enter\*
You should see a few lines of text that say: "Logged in as (whatever your bot name is)"
You're done!
When someone posts a link to an image, or uploads one directly to your desired channel, the bot will create a link for the obs source to refer to, and it should pop up in your scene, assuming its visible. If you still dont see anything, try restarting OBS and or go into the source properties, scroll down, and click the "refresh cache of current page" button at the bottom. Keep in mind the picture will not update unless you force the source to refresh somehow. If you dont want to keep going back to obs to hide/unhide the source to update it, you can set a hotkey to it, create an OBS script, or use a separate program like streamerbot to automate the process to your liking.
This was a huge pain in the ass to do, and I dont want anyone to go through what I did, so I wanted to have it all in a janky guide to get people started. Also I made it so the pictures have a minimum and maximum w/h size so small images arent so darn small, and big ones dont take up so much space. You can adjust this in the .py file, just be sure to close command prompt and start the bot again for the changes to go through.
