2024.05.17 08:30 No-Leg-3400 Bought item kit advertised as new from a website, yet had signs of usage, and then failed 3 days later. Seller refused to offer a refund upon return, and PayPal refused dispute and appeal based on clearly false claims from seller claiming I modified and damaged the item. No idea what to do now.

Hi!
I really don’t know where to start with this one. It’s definitely going to be a long post as I don’t want to miss on any potentially crucial detail, hence apologies for posting something this long.
Here’s my best attempt at summarizing what happened without losing on any detail (feel free to ask for clarification if anything isn’t clear):
Hence all of that being said, what are my options now? I am guessing probably small claims court, but if I lose that too then I will also be out the fees for that on top of the already massive losses. Plus I am an international student hence won’t be in the UK over the summer and my schedule during the academic year might not give me time to attend the hearing. Plus I can’t speak legalese and I am generally terrible at communicating on the spot due to my ADHD, hence that also won’t be in my favor. And I can’t afford to have someone represent me either.
I am really sorry if I am sounding super negative, I just really don’t know how to handle this, especially considering how much money I lost now which in itself has been a nightmare.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated whether here or through DMs (my DMs are open if you don’t feel comfortable sharing advice here).
Thanks!

2024.05.17 08:05 South-Proposal5691 How big of an asshole would I be if I vacuumed late?

Ok, I’m in a sticky situation. It in 12:45 am and I am trying to get out of the apartment as soon as possible.
(The question at hand) I need to vacuum asap so that I can gtfo of here, but would I be a horrible person to my downstairs neighbor for vacuuming at 1am?
(Explanation) My husband has put me through hell. He has cheated the past 7 months, lied about everything he possibly could, crossed every boundary, become physical, pushed kinks that I stated several times I was not comfortable with, cut me off to the point where I was not eating because I couldn’t get enough money for groceries, I haven’t been able to get a real job because my purse was stolen and I couldn’t get him to lend me enough money for a new ID, had sex with me when I was so drunk and blacked out that I never woke up during it but that didn’t stop him (I only found out about it because he mentioned us having sex twice the night before, while he had been drinking. I asked what he was talking about because I went to sleep after we had sex), he cut me off from getting health insurance info when I needed to go to the hospital twice, and I just found out that he has been sharing a video that he took while having sex with me. Not only did I not consent to him sharing the video with men and women AND strangers he met on tinder, I didn’t even know the video was being taken.
He is currently deployed. This has all happened over deployment, and the time I got to visit him over Christmas (before I knew about any of this.)
I have not left yet because not only did I just not have the gas money to get me home, but he watches my location like a hawk. I can’t go to the store without getting a call asking who I’m with, telling me to FaceTime him and show him the car, telling me to FaceTime when I leave the house, get to the store, and get back to the house. I’ve threatened to leave and turned off my locations in times before, and he threatened his life. I contacted his chain of command before and he not only logged into my cash app and sent himself all of the money I had, but threatened to kill himself by sending me videos of himself with his gun in his mouth, and a picture of a letter about how it was my fault. He refused to send back any of the money I saved until I sent him a text explaining that I am crazy and everything I said was a lie and that I do not have 200 screenshots of proof of the things he has done.
I have been scared to leave, and I know everyone is going to tell me I’m an idiot for not leaving sooner but this is my chance to get out peacefully on my end. He is in the field and without his phone. Had I known this was happening, I would have prepped everything sooner. He told me he would be gone today and tomorrow, and I have enough money saved. I had a moving company come today to help me move out all of the furniture. What I bought was put into a truck, what he bought was put into a storage unit. I want to get up, grab my things and my pets and leave as soon as the office opens where I will talk to our landlord about the situation and have my name taken off the lease. I’ve already blocked him on everything, and I will be changing my phone number when I get back to my home town. I will also be in contact with a good lawyer tomorrow morning for the divorce, along with prosecuting for the revenge porn and assault.
Sorry for letting this explanation get to a rant, but this is literally the first time I have ever talked to about this at all and it really did need off my chest.

"Yūrei Chronicles: Tales of Japanese Horror"
Chapter 1: "The Cursed Scroll"
In the heart of Kyoto, where history whispered through the ancient streets, there existed an antique bookstore known only to those who sought the rarest of tomes. Nestled among centuries-old texts and dusty manuscripts, a forbidden scroll lay hidden, waiting for an unwitting soul to stumble upon its chilling secrets.
Chapter 1: "The Cursed Scroll"
The quaint, dimly lit bookstore was a treasure trove of the past. Intricate calligraphy adorned scrolls, while faded ink whispered stories of long-forgotten samurai and mystical creatures. Among these relics of history, one scroll remained elusive, concealed behind a glass case. Its dark, ornate cover bore no title, and its presence seemed to beckon.
Haruki, a young scholar with a fascination for the occult, visited the bookstore one rainy afternoon. His curiosity led him to inquire about the enigmatic scroll. The elderly shopkeeper, Mr. Tanaka, peered at him with a knowing look, cautioning him about the scroll's malevolent reputation.
"Many have sought to uncover its secrets," Mr. Tanaka said, his voice trembling with age, "but few have lived to tell the tale."
Haruki, undeterred by the ominous warning, insisted on examining the scroll. Mr. Tanaka, sensing the scholar's determination, reluctantly unlocked the glass case. As Haruki unrolled the ancient parchment, he saw that it was filled with intricate symbols and incantations, written in a language he could barely comprehend.
For days, Haruki delved into the scroll's mysteries. His sleepless nights were filled with whispers from unseen forces, and chilling drafts seemed to haunt his small apartment. Yet, he pressed on, believing that the scroll held untold knowledge and power.
One fateful night, as a full moon cast eerie shadows across his cluttered study, Haruki recited an incantation from the scroll. The room grew icy cold, and an otherworldly presence enveloped him. A mournful wail echoed through the room, and Haruki's heart raced as he beheld the apparition before him.
A yūrei, its long, disheveled hair obscuring its gaunt face, hovered in the air, its eyes filled with anguish and rage. It reached out bony, pale fingers toward Haruki, its spectral form translucent yet undeniably real.
In that moment, Haruki realized the scroll's true nature – a curse that summoned vengeful spirits to torment the living. He had unwittingly invited the yūrei into his world, and now, it sought retribution for its suffering.
The scholar's life turned into a nightmare as the vengeful spirit haunted his every waking moment. His research became an obsession to find a way to pacify the yūrei and lift the curse. With each passing day, Haruki's health deteriorated, his body and mind succumbing to the relentless torment.
Desperate, he sought the guidance of a renowned exorcist, who revealed a grim truth. The only way to break the curse was to discover the scroll's origins and offer the yūrei the peace it so desperately sought.
As Haruki ventured deeper into the scroll's history, he uncovered a tale of betrayal and tragedy that spanned centuries. With newfound knowledge and a heavy heart, he prepared to confront the vengeful yūrei and set things right.
In a chilling confrontation between the living and the dead, Haruki faced the spirit, offering it the closure it craved. As the yūrei dissipated into the ether, its mournful wail echoed one last time, fading into the night.
Haruki emerged from the ordeal forever changed, carrying the weight of the scroll's curse as a cautionary tale. The forbidden knowledge he had sought had come at a great cost, a reminder that some mysteries should remain hidden, and some curses should never be invoked.
As the sun rose over Kyoto, the antique bookstore remained shrouded in an eerie silence, and the cursed scroll returned to its cryptic slumber, waiting for the next unwitting soul to unlock its dreadful secrets.
End of Chapter 1: "The Cursed Scroll"
Chapter 2: "The Shrine in the Shadows"
In the heart of a tranquil Japanese village, nestled among ancient forests, stood a centuries-old Shinto shrine, known to few but revered by all. This sacred place held an eerie secret, hidden in the shadows of its past.
Chapter 2: "The Shrine in the Shadows"
The village of Mizuki was picturesque, surrounded by dense woods and the whispers of rustling leaves. Its most treasured gem was the Shōrin Shrine, a sanctuary dedicated to the worship of the kami, where the villagers paid homage with heartfelt prayers and offerings.
On a bright spring morning, the Hayashi family moved into a charming house near the shrine. Yuko, a spirited young girl with inquisitive eyes, was enchanted by the quaint beauty of Mizuki and the mystique of the Shōrin Shrine. Her parents, Masato and Yuki, hoped the peaceful village would offer respite from the bustling city.
Their first evening in Mizuki was serene, and the family felt blessed to live in such an idyllic place. As night descended, they heard a faint melody echoing through the forest—a haunting tune played on a traditional shamisen. Yuko, drawn by curiosity, followed the eerie melody to the shrine.
At the shrine's entrance, she saw a flicker of movement among the trees and bushes. As her eyes adjusted to the dim moonlight, she gasped in awe and terror. There, bathed in an ethereal glow, stood a beautiful woman dressed in a white kimono, her long hair cascading like an ebony waterfall.
The woman's face bore an expression of immense sorrow, and her eyes seemed to pierce Yuko's very soul. In her delicate, spectral hands, she held a shamisen, its strings plucked by fingers that had long since turned to mist.
"Who are you?" Yuko asked, her voice quivering.
The apparition gazed at Yuko with an inscrutable sadness and whispered, "My name is Hana. I have been bound to this shrine for centuries, waiting for someone to hear my song."
Hana's story unraveled like a tragic tapestry before Yuko. She had once been a young woman in love with a humble fisherman from Mizuki. Their love was forbidden, and when their secret was discovered, they met a tragic end at the hands of the villagers.
As she spoke, the melody of her shamisen became more mournful, and the trees seemed to weep in sympathy. Hana's spirit, bound to the shrine, could only find solace by sharing her story with the living.
Yuko, moved by Hana's tale, felt a deep connection to the ghostly figure. She promised to help Hana find peace and bring her story to light. Together, they would uncover the truth behind the tragic love story that had ensnared the shrine for centuries.
As Yuko delved into the village's history, she uncovered hidden documents and ancient scrolls that confirmed Hana's story. The injustice done to Hana and her beloved was a blot on the village's past, a truth that had been concealed for generations.
With newfound determination, Yuko rallied the villagers to acknowledge the village's dark history and to seek forgiveness for the sins of the past. In a moving ceremony at the Shōrin Shrine, the villagers offered their prayers, and Hana's spirit was finally set free.
As the first rays of dawn bathed Mizuki in golden light, Hana's ethereal form dissolved into a wisp of gratitude and serenity. The shrine, once shadowed by sorrow, now radiated with newfound peace.
"The Shrine in the Shadows" became a tale passed down through generations, a reminder that love and forgiveness could transcend even the darkest of curses. Mizuki continued to flourish, its shrine standing as a testament to the enduring power of redemption.
End of Chapter 2: "The Shrine in the Shadows"
Chapter 3: "The Haunting of the Geisha"
In the vibrant streets of 19th-century Tokyo, beneath the shimmering lanterns and behind the delicate allure of geisha, a haunting presence lurked—a presence that would forever change the life of a celebrated geisha named Kaede.
Chapter 3: "The Haunting of the Geisha"
In the heart of Tokyo's historic Yoshiwara district, Kaede was renowned as one of the most captivating and skilled geisha. Her beauty was ethereal, her dances mesmerizing, and her laughter like the tinkling of wind chimes. But beneath her porcelain makeup and the grace of her performances lay a heart heavy with secrets.
One cool autumn evening, as the lanterns cast their warm glow on the district, a newcomer arrived at the teahouse where Kaede performed. His name was Kaito, a handsome and enigmatic man with piercing eyes that seemed to see beyond the facade of the geisha. Kaede's heart quickened as their eyes met, and she felt a connection she had never experienced before.
As weeks turned into months, Kaede and Kaito's bond deepened, their love blossoming like the cherry blossoms in spring. But their love was a forbidden one, as Kaito was a samurai, and their worlds were as different as night and day.
One fateful night, Kaito revealed a dangerous secret to Kaede—he was involved in a plot against a powerful daimyo who ruled with cruelty and oppression. Kaito believed that by exposing the daimyo's corruption, he could bring justice to the people. He asked for Kaede's assistance in gathering information from the teahouse's influential patrons.
Reluctantly, Kaede agreed, and together, they embarked on a treacherous path filled with deceit and danger. As the days passed, they uncovered dark secrets that could expose the daimyo's crimes. However, their actions did not go unnoticed.
One evening, as Kaede performed for a gathering of influential men, a sinister figure appeared in the shadows. It was the vengeful spirit of a geisha named Akiko, who had perished in Yoshiwara under tragic circumstances. Her ghostly form was veiled in a blood-red kimono, and her eyes burned with malevolence.
Akiko's haunting began subtly—a chill in the air, whispers of despair, and a feeling of dread that hung over the teahouse like a shroud. Kaede, sensing the supernatural presence, knew that they had awakened a vengeful spirit.
Desperate to protect Kaede, Kaito sought the guidance of a local exorcist, who revealed the tragic story of Akiko. She had been a geisha in love with a samurai, but their forbidden love had led to betrayal and death. Her restless spirit sought vengeance on those who dared to love across societal boundaries.
With the exorcist's help, Kaito and Kaede embarked on a perilous journey to confront Akiko's spirit and offer her the peace she so desperately sought. In a climactic showdown, they faced the vengeful geisha, revealing the truth behind her betrayal and death.
As the first light of dawn bathed the Yoshiwara district, Akiko's spirit dissipated, her eyes filled with sorrow and resignation. The curse she had cast upon the teahouse lifted, and peace returned to the district.
Kaede and Kaito's love story continued, forever marked by the supernatural forces they had encountered. The teahouse thrived once more, its lanterns casting their warm glow over the enchanting district, where love knew no boundaries and forgiveness transcended even death.
"The Haunting of the Geisha" became a legend whispered among geisha in Yoshiwara, a testament to the enduring power of love and the consequences of forbidden desires in the mysterious world of Edo-era Tokyo.
End of Chapter 3: "The Haunting of the Geisha"
Chapter 4: "The Onryo's Revenge"
In the heart of a decaying city, where abandoned buildings stood as silent witnesses to forgotten tragedies, a group of urban explorers would stumble upon a place where the restless dead held their sinister dominion.
Chapter 4: "The Onryo's Revenge"
The city of Kurayami had fallen into disrepair, its once-thriving industries crumbling, and its streets echoing with the memories of better days. Among its many derelict structures was the forsaken Kurayami Hospital, a place whispered about only in fearful tales.
Rumors spoke of a curse that had befallen the hospital after a gruesome series of medical experiments in the early 20th century. Patients had been subjected to horrific procedures, and their agonized cries still seemed to reverberate through the corridors.
A group of urban explorers, lured by the thrill of the forbidden and the allure of the macabre, set their sights on Kurayami Hospital. Among them was Hiroshi, the group's leader, and Yumi, a budding photographer with an affinity for capturing the eerie beauty of abandoned places.
As the explorers entered the hospital's crumbling entrance, they were greeted by the musty scent of decay and the eerie silence of long-abandoned hallways. Shadows danced in the dim light as they ventured deeper into the forsaken building, their footsteps echoing like distant whispers.
The group's excitement turned to unease as they encountered signs of the hospital's dark past—rusty surgical instruments, bloodstained gurneys, and cryptic medical notes. Yumi's camera captured it all, each photograph revealing more about the hospital's gruesome history.
As night fell, the explorers gathered in the hospital's decrepit lobby, their flashlights casting trembling beams into the darkness. It was then that they heard it—a faint, mournful wail, like the keening of a soul in torment.
Hiroshi, the group's fearless leader, brushed off their concerns, attributing the sound to the wind or their imagination. But the cries grew louder and more anguished, echoing through the halls.
The group became separated as they navigated the labyrinthine corridors. Yumi, camera in hand, wandered into the hospital's disused psychiatric ward. There, in a shadowed corner, she saw her camera's flash reveal a horrifying apparition—an onryo, a vengeful spirit with long, disheveled hair and eyes filled with hatred.
The onryo's spectral form contorted with rage as it approached Yumi. Its icy fingers reached out, and she felt an otherworldly coldness pierce her very soul. She knew that this was the spirit of a patient who had suffered unimaginable horrors in the hospital.
As Yumi's companions searched for her, they stumbled upon the onryo's lair and witnessed the terrifying encounter. In a desperate bid to save Yumi, they searched for a way to pacify the vengeful spirit.
Through a combination of research and communication with a local historian, they learned the full extent of the hospital's atrocities. Armed with this knowledge, they returned to the onryo's domain to confront the spirit and offer it the peace it had been denied for so long.
In a climactic showdown, the group faced the onryo, revealing the hospital's dark secrets and acknowledging the suffering of the tormented souls within. With profound remorse, they begged for forgiveness on behalf of those who had perpetrated the atrocities.
As the first rays of dawn broke over Kurayami, the onryo's anguished wails transformed into a mournful sigh. The spirit, its wrath finally quelled, dissipated into the ether, leaving behind a sense of profound sadness and closure.
The group of urban explorers emerged from Kurayami Hospital, forever changed by their encounter with the supernatural. They had confronted the past and offered redemption to the restless dead, leaving the decaying city with a newfound sense of hope.
"The Onryo's Revenge" became a cautionary tale among urban explorers, a reminder that some places are best left undisturbed, and that the past, no matter how dark, can be confronted and reconciled.
End of Chapter 4: "The Onryo's Revenge"
Chapter 5: "The Dollmaker's Curse"
In a remote mountain village, nestled among mist-shrouded peaks, a master dollmaker crafted exquisite creations that captured the hearts of collectors worldwide. Yet, within her secluded workshop, a malevolent force lurked—one that would ensnare a curious journalist in a nightmarish world of living dolls and dark secrets.
Chapter 5: "The Dollmaker's Curse"
Hidden away in the secluded village of Ichiban, known only to those who ventured deep into the mountains, lived a master dollmaker named Ai. Her dolls were celebrated for their lifelike beauty and craftsmanship, with collectors from distant lands coveting her creations.
One brisk autumn morning, a journalist named Keiko received a cryptic letter from a source in Ichiban, hinting at a sinister mystery surrounding Ai's dolls. Intrigued by the enigmatic message, Keiko embarked on a journey to the remote village, determined to uncover the truth.
Ichiban was a place untouched by time, its cobblestone streets winding through dense forests and past centuries-old homes. The village exuded an eerie tranquility, and the locals spoke in hushed tones about Ai's dolls, rumored to be infused with a piece of the human soul.
Upon reaching Ai's workshop, Keiko was greeted by the dollmaker herself, a woman of grace and poise. The workshop was a treasure trove of exquisite dolls, their eyes seeming to follow Keiko's every move. Among them, a particular doll known as Hikari stood out—a hauntingly beautiful creation with ebony hair and obsidian eyes.
As Keiko delved deeper into the village's mysteries, she discovered that Hikari was believed to house the soul of a deceased child, a belief held by both Ai and the villagers. The doll's unsettling presence and the uncanny resemblance it bore to a girl named Mei, who had died tragically years ago, sent shivers down Keiko's spine.
Keiko's nights in Ichiban were filled with restless dreams of porcelain dolls that came to life. In these dreams, Hikari beckoned her to uncover the truth behind the dollmaker's creations. Guided by an inexplicable compulsion, Keiko embarked on a quest to unearth the dark secrets hidden within Ai's workshop.
As Keiko investigated further, she uncovered Ai's own tragic past—a story of unrequited love, loss, and a desperate desire to capture the essence of the human soul in her dolls. With each revelation, the line between the living and the lifeless blurred, and Keiko felt herself becoming entangled in a nightmarish world.
The dolls that had once been works of art now seemed to harbor malevolence. They moved of their own accord, their eyes filled with an eerie, lifelike intensity. Keiko realized that Ai's obsession had bound her to a sinister force, and her creations hungered for more than just existence.
In a chilling climax, Keiko confronted Ai and the curse that had gripped her creations. Together, they sought to break the curse's hold and release the trapped souls within the dolls.
As the moon hung low in the night sky, Ai performed a solemn ritual, guided by the spirit of Mei, whose essence had been captured in Hikari. The dolls, imbued with a restless energy, gathered around, their haunting eyes watching as the curse was lifted.
With a mournful sigh, the dolls' porcelain features softened, and their malevolence dissipated. The spirit of Mei was set free, and the dolls became lifeless once more, their beauty preserved in eternal stillness.
Ichiban returned to its peaceful slumber, and Keiko departed with a newfound appreciation for the power of art and the depths of human longing. The village's haunting tale of the dollmaker's curse served as a reminder that some obsessions could lead to the creation of something far more sinister than art itself.

Chapter 6: "The Shadow in the Forest"
In a land steeped in history and tradition, the Aokigahara Forest, known as the "Suicide Forest," concealed a dark secret. Within its dense, ancient foliage, a group of hikers would embark on a journey that would lead them into the heart of a malevolent force.
Chapter 6: "The Shadow in the Forest"
Deep within the prefecture of Yamanashi, shrouded in a perpetual mist, lay the infamous Aokigahara Forest—an expanse of ancient woodland that held a dark reputation. Known as the "Suicide Forest," it had been a site of countless tragic deaths throughout the centuries.
A group of adventurous hikers, seeking to conquer the wilderness and challenge the forest's ominous legends, gathered on a chilly autumn morning. Among them was Akira, an experienced guide with a deep respect for the forest's history, and Yumi, a young woman in search of adventure and solace from her own troubled past.
The hikers ventured deep into the forest, their footsteps muffled by the thick blanket of moss and fallen leaves. The dense canopy above cast eerie shadows, and the trees seemed to whisper secrets of sorrow and despair.
As they trekked further into the woods, they began to notice strange occurrences—a disconcerting sense of being watched, distant whispers on the wind, and ghostly apparitions that flickered at the edge of their vision. Akira, the guide, attributed these phenomena to the forest's ominous reputation and urged the group to press on.
Yet, the forest's grip on their minds and senses tightened. Yumi, in particular, felt a strange connection to the haunting forces that seemed to lurk behind every tree. Inexplicable visions of tragedy and despair flashed before her eyes, and a sense of overwhelming dread enveloped her.
Night descended on the forest, and the hikers set up camp, their flickering campfire offering the only semblance of comfort in the oppressive darkness. It was then that Yumi encountered a spectral figure—a yūrei, her kimono tattered and her eyes empty voids.
The yūrei beckoned to Yumi, her voice a mournful echo. Unable to resist, Yumi followed the apparition into the depths of the forest, her companions unaware of her disappearance. The yūrei led her to a clearing where an ancient tree stood, its gnarled roots forming a grotesque face.
As Yumi approached the tree, she felt a malevolent presence—an ancient spirit of the forest itself. It spoke to her, revealing the tragic history of Aokigahara—the place where those who had lost hope sought refuge in death.
Yumi learned of the forest's vengeful guardian, a yūrei born of countless lost souls, whose suffering fueled its malevolence. It was the embodiment of the forest's sorrow, forever bound to torment those who ventured within.
Realizing that Yumi was now connected to the yūrei, her companions embarked on a desperate search to rescue her from the forest's clutches. With the guidance of Akira's knowledge and determination, they confronted the vengeful spirit, revealing the pain of their own pasts and the impact of their actions on the world around them.
As the first rays of dawn bathed Aokigahara in a pale light, the yūrei's malevolence waned, and its grip on Yumi loosened. With a final sigh, it dissipated into the morning mist, its haunting presence released from the forest.
Yumi was reunited with her companions, forever changed by her encounter with the malevolent spirit of Aokigahara. The forest's ominous reputation remained, a reminder of the darkness that could consume those who dared to venture too close to its heart.
"The Shadow in the Forest" served as a chilling testament to the mysteries of Aokigahara, where the past and the present intertwined, and the boundaries between life and death blurred beneath the ancient canopy.

Chapter 7: "The Haunting of the Yurei Inn"
In a remote village nestled among mist-covered mountains, a centuries-old inn held a sinister secret. When a weary traveler seeks refuge within its ancient walls, she becomes entangled in a web of supernatural mysteries that threaten to consume her soul.
Chapter 7: "The Haunting of the Yurei Inn"
The village of Okuyama was a hidden gem, nestled among towering peaks and blanketed in mist. Within this secluded haven stood the Yurei Inn, a centuries-old establishment steeped in history and whispered legends. Its age-old charm masked a sinister truth—a haunting presence that had plagued the inn for generations.
Amidst a dense fog, a lone traveler named Rei arrived in Okuyama, weary and seeking shelter from the elements. The Yurei Inn, with its rustic charm and flickering lanterns, seemed like the perfect refuge. Little did Rei know that her stay at the inn would unravel the mysteries hidden within its ancient walls.
Upon her arrival, Rei was greeted by the inn's elderly proprietress, Eiko, a woman whose weathered features and deep knowledge of the village's history hinted at a deeper connection to the inn's haunting past.
As Rei settled into her room, the oppressive atmosphere within the inn became palpable. Shadows seemed to dance in the corners of her vision, and strange, ghostly whispers echoed in the corridors. Unbeknownst to her, Rei had become a pawn in a centuries-old battle between the inn and the vengeful spirits that resided within.
In the dead of night, Rei awoke to a chilling presence at her bedside—an ethereal yurei, her white burial kimono flowing like a spectral river. The vengeful spirit's eyes held an insatiable hunger, and she reached out to Rei, her fingers icy and skeletal.
Rei's nights became torment as she encountered more yurei within the inn, each with their own tragic stories of betrayal, injustice, and unfulfilled desires. The spirits sought vengeance, and Rei's presence within the inn had awakened their malevolence.
Desperate to uncover the inn's secrets and free herself from the spirits' relentless pursuit, Rei sought the guidance of Eiko. The elderly proprietress revealed the tragic history of the inn—an establishment built on the suffering of countless souls who had met their demise within its walls.
Eiko's own family had been entangled in the inn's dark legacy, and she bore the weight of their deeds. Together, Rei and Eiko embarked on a journey to confront the yurei and offer them redemption, hoping to break the cycle of suffering that had plagued the inn for centuries.
In a harrowing confrontation with the vengeful spirits, Rei and Eiko unveiled the truth behind the inn's cursed history and acknowledged the pain of the souls that had been wronged. With heartfelt apologies and rituals of atonement, they sought to release the spirits from their torment.
As the first rays of dawn bathed Okuyama in a golden light, the yurei's spectral forms dissolved into the ether, their eyes filled with a mix of sorrow and gratitude. The Yurei Inn, once a place of darkness, now held the promise of redemption.
Rei departed from Okuyama, forever marked by her encounter with the supernatural. The Yurei Inn, now cleansed of its malevolent spirits, stood as a testament to the power of reconciliation and the hope of breaking the chains of the past.
"The Haunting of the Yurei Inn" became a cautionary tale among villagers, a reminder that the sins of the past could be confronted and forgiven, even in the face of vengeful spirits.

Chapter 8: "The Curse of the Haunted Kimono"
In the heart of Kyoto, where tradition and modernity intertwined, a family heirloom, an ancient kimono, carried a chilling curse that had plagued generations. A woman must delve into her family's history to uncover the origins of the curse and find a way to break it before it consumes her and her loved ones.
Chapter 8: "The Curse of the Haunted Kimono"
Kyoto, the city of a thousand temples, was a place where time seemed to stand still. Among the historic districts, the Nakamura family had passed down a treasured heirloom for generations—an exquisite silk kimono adorned with intricate embroidery, a relic of a bygone era.
The kimono had always been a source of fascination and reverence within the Nakamura family. It was said to be imbued with mystical powers, protecting its wearer from harm and misfortune. But beneath its ornate beauty lay a dark secret—a curse that had haunted the family for centuries.
Emi, the youngest of the Nakamura family, had grown up hearing stories of the kimono's mystical properties and the curse that clung to it. When her grandmother passed away, leaving the kimono in her care, Emi became the latest custodian of this fabled garment.
As the years passed, strange occurrences began to plague Emi and her family. The kimono seemed to have a malevolent presence, causing nightmares, unexplained accidents, and a growing sense of dread. Emi's husband, Toshiro, and their young daughter, Yuki, bore the brunt of the curse's effects.
Desperate to protect her loved ones, Emi embarked on a quest to uncover the origins of the curse and find a way to break it. She delved into her family's history, poring over ancient scrolls and consulting with local priests and scholars.
Through her research, Emi learned of a tragic love story that had been concealed for generations—a forbidden romance between a Nakamura ancestor and a woman from a rival clan. The lovers had been torn apart by a vengeful spirit, and their love had been sealed within the cursed kimono.
With newfound determination, Emi sought out the help of a renowned exorcist, who revealed that the curse could only be broken by reconciling the spirits of the star-crossed lovers and offering them a chance at eternal peace.
Emi, Toshiro, and Yuki embarked on a journey to the ancestral shrine of the Nakamura family, where they conducted a solemn ritual to appease the vengeful spirits. As they offered their prayers and made heartfelt apologies on behalf of their ancestors, a profound sense of forgiveness washed over them.
In a climactic moment, the cursed kimono transformed, its once malevolent aura dissipating into the ether. The spirits of the star-crossed lovers, now free from their torment, appeared before Emi and her family, their eyes filled with gratitude.
As the cherry blossoms rained down upon Kyoto, Emi, Toshiro, and Yuki returned home with a newfound sense of peace and closure. The kimono, no longer cursed, became a symbol of their family's resilience and the enduring power of love and forgiveness.
"The Curse of the Haunted Kimono" served as a reminder that the sins of the past could be atoned for and that the bonds of love and family could transcend even the darkest of curses.
End of Chapter 8: "The Curse of the Haunted Kimono"
Chapter 9: "The Mirror's Malevolence"
In a quiet suburban neighborhood, an antique mirror with a sinister past found its way into the home of a young couple. As they unwittingly unleashed the malevolent spirit trapped within, they must confront the mirror's dark history to save themselves and their family.
Chapter 9: "The Mirror's Malevolence"
In a serene suburban neighborhood, where cherry blossoms bloomed with each passing spring, lived a young couple, Hiroshi and Aiko, who were enamored with the charm of their new home. They had recently moved into a quaint, old-fashioned house that came with a peculiar antique mirror.
The mirror was ornate and beautiful, its frame adorned with delicate carvings of cherry blossoms. It had been left behind by the previous owner, a recluse who had passed away under mysterious circumstances. Little did Hiroshi and Aiko know that this mirror carried a malevolent secret.
As they settled into their new home, strange occurrences began to unfold. Reflections in the mirror seemed to distort, showing glimpses of eerie, shadowy figures lurking in the background. At night, whispers filled the room as if unseen voices murmured from within the glass.
Aiko, with her fascination for the occult, was the first to sense the mirror's sinister aura. She delved into research, uncovering tales of a cursed mirror that had plagued the previous owner's family for generations.
The mirror had once belonged to a vengeful spirit, a yūrei who had perished in despair. Its malevolence was bound to the glass, and those who possessed it were tormented by the spirit's relentless anger and sorrow.
Desperate to free themselves from the mirror's curse, Hiroshi and Aiko sought the guidance of a spiritual medium. Through a series of rituals and séances, they made contact with the vengeful spirit trapped within the mirror.
The spirit's story unfolded like a tragic drama—the yūrei had been a young woman in love with a man from a rival clan. Their love was forbidden, and when their secret was discovered, they had both met a grisly end. Her spirit had been bound to the mirror as punishment for her defiance of societal norms.
With the medium's help, Hiroshi and Aiko offered prayers and apologies on behalf of the mirror's original owner, seeking forgiveness for the wrongs committed against the vengeful spirit. They vowed to help the spirit find peace and redemption.
In a chilling climax, they conducted a final ritual, allowing the yūrei to pass on and find the solace she had been denied for centuries. As they gazed into the mirror one last time, they saw the spirit's reflection fade into the distance, her eyes filled with a mix of gratitude and farewell.
The mirror, now cleansed of its malevolence, became a symbol of hope and renewal for Hiroshi and Aiko. Their family flourished, and the cherry blossoms in their garden bloomed with newfound vibrancy, a testament to the enduring power of love and forgiveness.
"The Mirror's Malevolence" served as a chilling reminder that even the most innocuous objects could carry dark secrets, and that confronting the past and seeking redemption could break the bonds of even the most malevolent curses.
End of Chapter 9: "The Mirror's Malevolence"
Chapter 10: "The Bridge to the Beyond"
In a remote mountain village, isolated from the modern world, a historic bridge served as a link between the living and the dead. When a group of travelers crossed its ancient planks, they would discover the chilling truth behind the bridge's supernatural origins.
Chapter 10: "The Bridge to the Beyond"
Deep within the heart of the Japanese mountains, nestled among ancient forests and shrouded in mist, lay the village of Yamanokawa. It was a place where tradition and superstition still held sway, and the bridge that spanned the river was both a lifeline and a gateway to the unknown.
A group of adventurous travelers, drawn by the allure of Yamanokawa's untouched beauty, embarked on a journey to explore the village's remote reaches. Among them were Kaito, a historian with an insatiable curiosity, and Mia, a photographer who sought to capture the essence of this secluded world.
The village's centerpiece was the Akane Bridge, a weathered structure made of ancient wood and adorned with centuries-old lanterns. Its planks creaked with the weight of history, and the river below whispered tales of lives long gone.
As the travelers ventured deeper into Yamanokawa, they discovered that the villagers held a profound reverence for the bridge. It was said to be a link between the living and the dead, a place where offerings were made to appease the spirits that dwelled in the surrounding forest.
As night descended, the travelers set up camp near the Akane Bridge, its lanterns casting an eerie, flickering glow on the river's surface. It was then that they heard the sound—a mournful melody that seemed to emanate from the bridge itself.
Mia, driven by curiosity, followed the haunting tune to the bridge's edge. There, bathed in an otherworldly light, she saw a figure—a woman in a white kimono, her long hair flowing like an ebony waterfall.
The woman, whose name was Hikari, revealed herself to be a yūrei, a spirit bound to the Akane Bridge for centuries. She had once been a young bride whose love had been torn apart by a tragic accident on her wedding day. Her spirit was eternally linked to the bridge, where she waited for her beloved to return.
Kaito, the historian, delved into the village's archives and uncovered the tragic story of Hikari's past. It was a tale of love and loss, of a bride whose life had been cut short, and a groom whose heart had been forever scarred by grief.
With newfound determination, the travelers sought to reunite the spirits of Hikari and her beloved. They embarked on a journey deep into the forest, following a path laden with offerings and prayers.
At the heart of the forest, they discovered an ancient shrine dedicated to love and reconciliation. There, in a poignant ceremony, they offered heartfelt prayers and apologies on behalf of the villagers and the groom who had never returned.
As the first light of dawn broke over Yamanokawa, a sense of serenity washed over the Akane Bridge. Hikari's spectral form dissolved into the river's mist, her eyes filled with a mix of longing and gratitude.
The travelers departed from Yamanokawa, forever changed by their encounter with the supernatural. The Akane Bridge, now freed from its haunting past, stood as a testament to the enduring power of love and the hope of reuniting even in the afterlife.
"The Bridge to the Beyond" became a legend whispered among villagers, a reminder that some bonds could transcend time and that the spirit of love endured even in the face of eternity.

2024.05.17 06:46 hddnbx I received a withdrawal from PayPro Global to Payoneer ACH, and Payoneer does not accept the documents that PayPro Global provided

And they disabled my receiving account. Does anyone has similar experiences?
By the way, I've been a Payoneer customer for over 10 years and an indie software developer in the shareware market for over 20 years. There is no fraud or someone trying to behave fraudulently in this whole story. It's just unnecessary.
Yesterday, I received a payment from PayPro Global, and Payonner asked me to provide two documents to verify the transaction. One is the invoice, and the other is the proof of delivery. I have never dealt with this kind of situation because I always use a third-party payment processor to handle my software orders and have never had to prove this. I have been using this Payoneer account for over 10 years, but it's the first time I use the ACH account. I know I can connect Payoneer to PayPro Global. I was just curious if my receiving accounts really work, so I tried to use them.
I immediately contacted PayPro Global, and they quickly responded with the required documents. All I need to do is upload them to Payoneer's verification submit forms.
I submitted the documents and waited for only 5 minutes. Then, I got two rejection messages from Payoneer saying that my documents did not meet the requirements.
Payoneer asked me for two documents: the invoice, which requires my name, client name and country, goods, price, quantity, and amount on it, and the proof of delivery, which requires either a custom declaration form, proof of delivery, or proof of communication with the customer regarding the delivery.
I submitted two documents (and I couldn't submit more or less as they request):
  1. An acceptance letter with all the required information on it. I submitted it as the invoice. The rejection reason was it did not sufficiently describe the nature of the services I provided;
  2. My reseller agreement with PayPro Global. I submitted it as the proof of communication. The reason for the rejection was that it did not show email correspondence or a chat transcript with my client.
After Payoneer rejected the documents, I continued communicating with PayPro Global's staff, and they said I may have chosen the wrong categories for the documents. So, I re-submitted the documents, but this time, I carefully selected the document categories for these documents under PayPro Global's assistance.
I don't understand why they needed the document to be specified in different categories before their verification. If you need proof of my transaction, this is the proof, does it really matter which category it should be in? Anyway, I re-submitted the documents. This time, they didn't reject it in 5 minutes.
They disabled my receiving account in 10 hours instead. The reason they said was: I violates the TOS. Nothing else.
So which TOS did I violate? I submitted the documents you wanted, and because I gave you what you asked for, I violated your terms?
I'm just feeling uncomfortable with this experience. Does anyone else have a similar situation? If so, I would like to know how or what you did in this situation.
And I do think the documents I got from PayPro Global should meet the requirements. The information on the documents is straightforward. They paid me and provided me an acceptance letter with my name, their name, the payment amount, the date, why they paid me, the date of fulfillment, and parties having no claims against each other, and everything else needed in this kind of document. More importantly, they are not a new payment processor, and they should have assisted many developers like me handled this kind of document many times; I don't think there should be any difficulty in proving a payment from the payment processor. This is not a crime.
And then disable my receiving account for this?
Before you ask why I didn't contact Payoneer, it was not during their support's work time when I was having this problem and writing this. And TBH, it takes effort to find their human contact entrance.

2024.05.17 06:17 dump_names1163 I was falsely accused of raping a 13 yr old and it destroyed my life

I really just wanted to get this story off my chest. I sought out help with some issues before on another account and but ended up deleting it because some people decided that they were green lit to brigade me with rather unpleasant messages. Sometimes I feel truly alone now.
I guess a bit of back story to start out.
I lived in a decent rental property out in a rural area in the SE U.S. I am a male, mid-30s at the time, divorced, decent job and all around not a bad life all things considered. I had family nearby and friends who seemed to care, and there was a woman in my life that seemed like we were a pretty good match for each other. This was back in 2019 right before the big covid epidemic really ramped up.
I had no idea it was all about to end.
At 3am on a thursday night, I was awoken to a loud knock on my door. I put on some slippers and looked out the peephole. There was a police officer standing there. I hadn't done anything illegal and had no reason to fear a police run in. My first thought was that something was wrong with someone in my family. I opened the door and he asked my name. I confirmed and he grabbed hold of me and yanked me out. More officers from around the corner pinned me to the wall and cuffed me. I asked what was happening and received a punch to the head for my troubles.
I was rather stunned and horribly confused. They drug me out to where they had parked, just out of the line of sight for me to see from my door. I was tossed into the car and eventually one of them got in and finally answered my question of what was going on.
I had been charged with rape and child molestation. He didn't tell me who charged me or when, just that there was a warrant out for my arrest.
I was hauled into the county jail at that point. I had never been arrested in my life and I was terrified. I didn't have my phone and couldn't remember anyone's contact information at the time. I was processed, given my mugshot, and put in a small holding cell.
Some time later I got my first appearance and was told my charges, no bail, I was warned not to talk to the judge or I'd regret it. Just answer his questions and sit down when told,
Then they moved me to a very small padded room. There were 4 or 5 police officers I think that moved me. It's a bit hard to remember this part in detail, but I remember enough. They handed me this small cloth vest and told me to strip naked. I had no idea what they were doing and I got really scared. I didn't get asked again. They held me down, ripped my clothes off, and beat the hell out of me right there. They shoved my face against a vent in the floor that served as the toilet. One of them remarked that was where a piece of shit like me belonged and they laughed. They spit on me and left, leaving that small vest laying next to me on the cold rubber floor.
For four weeks, I curled up under that vest in the corner of the room. It was so cold and I didn't dare let that spot cool down. The pain was terrible and the nurses that had to check on me didn't care what I'd went though. I didn't have back problems before that, but now I do. Some days I wake up now and can hardly walk.
I was finally moved to general population. I figured things were finally getting better. I was sure that whatever had started happening would finally be over. I got a message from my family and was able to contact them. I reassured them I had no idea what was happening or who had filed charges or anything. I was as confused as everyone else would be.
I tried telling my mom about the abuse. An officer came back there, told me point blank that if I didn't want to get it again and worse next time, I'd better shut my mouth. It was a threat I'd rather not test out. I kept my mouth shut at that point. I learned that all calls and mail was monitored by the jail.
I asked my mom to get in touch with the woman I'd been seeing to explain things. She's already messaged my mom and told her that she wanted nothing to do with me. I guess all things considered I ended up better off, but it hurt at the time.
A few weeks later, a public attorney had been appointed and came to see me. I was finally about to find out who was behind all this. I figured this was some sort of great big misunderstanding and I'd be home soon.
It was the neighbors daughter. Someone I barely knew and only spoke to in passing. I never touched this girl and I didn't want to either. She had told her parents that I had forced open her window and raped her in the early morning hours and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
I was 6'1 and 230lbs of pudding. I am not stealthy. There was no way I could quietly force open a trailer window and have my way with someone and keep it quiet. regardless though, that's what she claimed to her parents, and then to the police.
Why would that poor precious child lie? Very good question and I never found out the full story. I can speculate a few things on it. They did collect DNA evidence though and it had been sent off for testing.
Something to keep in mind. If you ever been in county lockup for any length of time, you know that nearly everyone claims innocence, and they don't believe other people are. I was locked into a dorm room with actual convicted child sexual predators and actual rapists. Some of whom were violent and had nothing to lose.
It wasn't pleasant and it wasn't fun. I was attacked on occasion simply for my charges.
And remember I said this was pre-covid? Yeah. They shut down the court system. They wouldn't be hearing my case for quite some time and the judge was a real hard ass that refused to set my bond. I spent the next 3 years in county lockup charged with a crime I did not commit.
3 years of my life gone.
I ended up firing my public defender and hiring a real defense attorney. the P.D. told me "things look pretty grim. If you just plea out, you can be home in about 10 years." Hell no. I borrowed the money from my family and got a real attorney. After he reviewed the case he was pretty positive I'd go home, and for a few good reasons.
Let's go to trial.
It finally happened. I got a trial date and I was ready to go. They came at me with another plea deal. The prosecutor said that I had wasted the states valuable time and they offered me 25 yrs in prison or I could lose and never see freedom. I told him to go pound sand.
At the trial, the alleged victim could not keep her story straight. She constantly backtracked and fudged the details of things like "What was he wearing?" or "Things he had said to you before." She also claimed to be a virgin and I took that from her.
I mentioned some time ago that they collected DNA. It was male, but it wasn't mine. Apparently the prosecution sat on those results until it was nearly time for trial. They knew I was innocent and let me sit in jail to entertain their plea deals.
I don't know what really happened that night, I suspect that she had sex with some guy she was seeing, They may have got into a fight and she cried rape, and then changed her mind after she'd started. She needed a rapist though and she just randomly chose a guy nearby that she didn't care anything about. Maybe she got in too deep and knew that if she backtracked she'd be in trouble.
I went home that day, found not guilty of all charges. I was thankful to be back with my family. Many of my so called friends abandoned me though. A few stuck around and those are the good ones.
My facebook arrest post had my full name and address and plenty of people wished for my death. "I'd be glad to put a bullet in him if they'd just let me" or "I know that guy. I knew there was something wrong with him the moment I met him."
I lost my home and a few things had been stolen before my family could secure it. Nothing irreplaceable I guess, but it still feels bad to of lost a few things I cared about.
In addition to severe back pain, the mental damage I got from this has been crippling. No matter how much I try, I just can't seem to get my life together. I am absolutely terrified of women as I know what just a few errant words can do. I don't think I could ever form another meaningful relationship because of those fears. I'm scared of the police as well. I fear they'll come after me again just like they did that night. They could kill me and get away with it these days.
Mostly I stay inside my moms house. Some days I'm ok. Others, I'm just so scared to go out. This isn't really a good life anymore. Counseling is somewhat helping at least.
There's no lawsuit that can be filed. The state doesn't have to answer for anything because they followed the letter of the law and the pandemic gave them emergency powers to do certain things. There's no lawsuit against the girl either as she never said it was made up. There's laws to protect her.
My life was ruined despite all charges being dropped. I honestly am not sure I can recover from this nightmare. There's plenty of details I left out, but I've talked enough as it is. I'm tired now. I expect people to call me a rapist or chomo anyways, innocent or not. For some, an accusation is enough proof for them.

2024.05.17 06:01 Vast-Listen1457 069 The Not-Immortal Blacksmith II – Elsewhere and Otherwise II

[Vast Listen, head curator of the “Heretic Collection” here! Today, while our “Heroes” and Maxwell are doing their thing, and currently it’s just boring travel, I thought we would take a look at the goings-on of the rest of the world.]

Smithson’s Family Forge
El Gato, god king of all he surveyed, sat on his favorite spot and watched the newest kittens play under the old Pando tree that had grown in the courtyard. He had “watered” the tree yesterday, and it now had a new branch growing that he could hardly wait to lounge on in a few weeks when it had grown strong enough. He smiled slightly, then yawned and repositioned himself for his midmorning nap.
The spirit of the tree climbed up next to him and lay back, giving him scritches behind the ears, “This really is the best place to catch the sun when I’m not home.”
“Of course it is.” El Gato replied, “It is my spot after all.”
The pair watched the newest batch of students as they came and went. Especially one student who hadn’t gotten the announcement that you didn’t “mess with the cats”. The student had had to learn the hard way what “FAFO” means, and would have scars on his left cheek for the rest of his life.
El Gato and the tree curled up on the sundrenched statue of The Heretic, the ever-living patron saint of the school, and dozed.

The Elven Kingdom
The young king stood on the throne yelling at his servants. “No! That’s not how that happened!” He sighed. “The Heretic gave his big speech, then the shield came up; not the other way around!” Armatures! I will have to send to the School of Rio for the full play. “Alright, set the scene and try again!”

The Undermountain Dwarven Kingdoms
Bjorn sat on the Throne of Stone in the great cathedral as his bishops, priests, and the rest sat in orderly rows before him. “No, Bishop Glod, songs about digging holes in the mine are NOT acceptable hymns to me; they are hymns to my grandfather!” The bishop shrank back.
“I don’t mind the hymns being sung in my temples, but they are for him, not me, and I don’t want to take what is his domain.” Bjorn tried to explain. “I am the god of crafting, not of mining and stone and such. Please don’t confuse the two of us.”
The assembled clergy began speaking in hushed tones that became louder and louder. Eventually the noise reached such a crescendo that Bjorn had to use his “god” voice to silence the thousands in attendance. “I know, I know. The Heretic. Look, Maxwell is by Friend; nothing more, nothing less! He is not my disciple; not my next of kin; not my prophet; and decidedly NOT my lover!”
The crowd became silent again, “And on that note, allow me to introduce my Actual lover, the small goddess…”

Fates
The three sides of fate sat at their tapestry. The Crone sat cross-legged on the ground of the cave, building a small tower of stones. The Mother sat on a comfortable chair, nursing a forgotten child. The Maiden was running another thread across the tapestry of life when she opened her mouth to end the silence.
“Don’t you dare.” The Crone snapped, pulling her eyes from the tower she was constructing. “We don’t want to stir that pot again, not for another thousand years.”
“But—” The Maiden started.
“Were you not listening when that man stopped by for a chat last century?” The Mother asked as she placed the baby over her shoulder and gave it a pat on the back, causing it to burp. “He had a very stern warning for us not to interfere with the Heretic.”
“He even threatened ~US~ with a stern letter.” The Crone added. “That is the last thing we need.”
The Maiden harumphed. “I still want to know who allowed the potion to work on him.”
“That makes three of us.” The Crone replied. “If I ever find out who was responsible for that, I will stick a finger in their ribs, and twist their soul.”
Meanwhile, in the celestial realm, Kocha, god of chaos, felt a spike of ice drive itself through his soul. He looked around, then went back to reading the Beta Material for the Humans and High-rises game.

The Celestial Realm, again…
Esmeralda, the goddess of Wisdom, sat at her desk, writing a stern letter to Brother Proof for going missing in the stacks; again; when she felt an uncomfortable twinge. “Oh my, it seems that one of my clerics has been killed. I wonder where?” She looked at a ball sitting on a tall stand next to her desk, and it rolled around until a “chain” of three islands was facing her. “Oh, the southern most of the…Heretic Isles…”

It's been a minute.
I was going to stream this weekend. It's not going to happen. I'm way over my head trying to figure it out, and I lack the brain. I wonder if I'm just getting to old for this shit. Doesn't help that for reasons I'm late as hell getting this out.
Life sucks.
Take care, y'all.

First term to trade deal: Tell me about trade deal, Mr. President

  4. I never heard of Wehzek woodcarvings.
Second term to trade deal: Is the bilateral migration agreement what it sounds like?
  1. I can extend those rights to the Wehzeks currently living in Zille. But to every citizen in Wehlen?

Third term to trade deal: I’m interested in hearing more about this anti-terrorism Pact.
  1. They’re a dangerous terror organization whose fight for ‘freedom’ has cost many innocents their lives.
  2. I hope you have concrete evidence to back up that accusation, Mr. President.
  3. Yes, their religious fanaticism makes them even more dangerous.
  4. That's it?
  5. Or what?
  6. I am all for proactivity. If we don't nip terrorism in the bud now, we will pay a steep price later.
  7. I see. A small contribution towards the greater fight against terrorism. (only appears if you have enough ships)
  8. Not everything, what’s this about a three-year timeline?
  9. Do not doubt my kingdom's ability to deliver on its promises.
Enact these trade agreements:
  • Imports: Oil (any more lowers negotiating power)
  • Exports: Wine and Small arms
  • Promise aid against BFF
  • Do not ban Bluds and Deridans

Pay for reparations for the Arufelde River (cheaper because of donation made in Turn 2). Build pipeline through Morella. Last, hold talks with Derdia over border disputes. At the end, offer to split MITZ 50-50 for agreeing to all these conditions. Again. Do not take the Biscuits.

2024.05.17 04:57 RNGmeUP Meeting my Egyptian Fiance in Barbados- he Transits in LHR and we need help with England’s transit visa process!

SUMMARY: Me (male, US Citizen) and my fiancé (male, Egyptian citizen) will meet for the first time in Barbados in September. He is broke, has a crappy job, and has a criminal history because he deserted the military years ago. He also has never traveled outside of Egypt. He has to transit through London Heathrow Airport on flight to Barbados and return flight, and needs a transit visa. We are in the application process and need help, and to avoid outing him in Egypt!
THE WHOLE STORY: My fiance and I will (hopefully) meet for the first time after being in an online relationship for several years, in Barbados in September, 2024. I am from the US and he is an Egyptian citizen. We chose Barbados because it does not require a visa to visit for either of us and isn’t a dangerous place to travel. I found a decent deal on a hotel and flights for both of us and booked. So far so good.
His flight is on British Airways leaving Cairo Egypt on August 31 and arriving in Terminal 5 of London Heathrow Airport that night. He then has a 14 hour layover, leaving at 11:25 AM on September 1 to Bridgetown, Barbados from Terminal 5 at LHR. He then will leave Barbados late September 10th on British Airways, arriving in LHR September 11. He has a much shorter layover and goes back to Egypt via British Airways on September 11, again all in Terminal 5.
We know he needs a transit visa to transit through LHR. We are unsure which kind of visa he needs, even after talking to the airline (the person I spoke with at first had no clue what I was asking about when I asked about a transit visa, and then said he needed to go through border control but couldn't explain why- ie, did he need to get his bags and bring them to check into the next flight- even though it is also a British Airways flight?). If he has to fly with just a carry-on for our trip to avoid needing to pick up checked bags, we will do it that way. I am approaching this situation like he needs a direct airside transit visa.
I am funding the trip and will provide him money for his stay in LHR, however brief. I’ve tried to research this online and found a few people also asking for help but not answers to my questions.
Here are problems we might face in the application process based on that research:
He has a job but it is low-paying (he is paid under the table in cash) and the only reason he even has a bank account is because I send him money every few months to pay for internet and phone service so we can be in consistent communication. Also relevant- he has never traveled outside of Egypt so has no "immigration history" to speak of. He also has a criminal history- he was arrested for deserting the military a few years ago and spent a year in a military prison. These are reasons I’ve seen similar visas denied so I’m concerned and want any advice I can get on how to best address the issues in the visa application process to ensure we get approved.
The OTHER big problem. We are gay. We can provide proof of our relationship and even our US I-129 visa application documents and letters back and forth with USCIS (which is in process), but I am absolutely terrified of what might happen if he is outed as gay in Egypt during this visa process. I’d like to contact the UK about this, but it says they can’t give advice on the particulars of our situation on the website. How do we navigate this?
I also don’t know if the visa application covers his trip to Barbados and his return, or if we need to apply for a transit visa for each separately. If we have to do separate visa applications, how do we connect them for the fingerprint requirement?
What documents should we be providing to support our application? I’m assuming bank statements and tickets, evidence of our relationship and reason I’m supporting him and bankrolling this trip, etc.
What other questions should I be asking?
Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

2024.05.17 04:50 poopstain1234 Transferring car title without a will

Hello all,
Just wanting to get a second opinion and clarification as the rep from the MTO seemed quite annoyed with me and wouldn’t expand when I asked for further details.
My father had passed away without a will. My mother doesn’t drive and has no need for a car. I want to transfer it under my name. The MTO stated I need a letter from a lawyer stating that the car (with the VIN, registration, car details, etc.) was gifted to myself. The letter must also state there’s no lein on the car and there is no contestation from other family members as well as information about the car (VIN, registration, etc). I would also require my own driver license, death certificate, pink slip, and proof of safety to be submitted to Service Ontario.
If I call the lawyer, will they just know what to do?
How would the lawyer know there is no contestation from other next of kin? (I doubt there would be). Would they contact them individually?
Is this all I need? Just get a few documents to be submitted to Service Ontario?
If I wanted to ship this vehicle to another province, are there any further complications?
Btw, this is a 11yr old Honda. Thought it would be cheaper to inherit this instead of selling and rebuying.
Appreciate everyone’s input.

2024.05.17 04:43 Vft1008 I-130 Approval Concern

Filed I130 and I485 in the same package last year. AoS via marriage with USC. Got an RFE for the I485 early on and responded to it (requesting my birth certificate). Already received my EAD. I130 has been approved recently, but the I485 is still pending. The I130 approval letter states: "The above petition has been approved. The petition indicates that the beneficiary wishes to apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident. They should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. The beneficiary can obtain Form I-485 from the USCIS website at..."
Is this standard language for an I130 approval or does it indicate that the I485 is possibly not linked or attached to the I130 in their system? I am concerned the language in the approval letter implies they are waiting for me to submit my I485 when it was already submitted with the I130.
Can anyone that submitted both the I130 and I485 at the same time please check their I130 approval and confirm of the language is the same?

2024.05.17 03:52 Turbulent_Pause6428 Worcester BOH Calls For Increasing State Alcohol Tax

Worcester BOH voted Monday unanimously in favor of increasing the states excise tax on alcohol. They state it has become a "public health challenge" with alcohol killing more people than opiods every year. The vote "sends a message to lawmakers" that they need to increase the tax as a way to combat "dangerous drinking connected to thousands of deaths in Mass". In 2019, there were 3101 alcohol-attributed deaths (5.15% of all deaths statewide). In 2022, it exceeded opiod related deaths for that year (2331). When accounting for unconfirmed deaths, it comes in at 2359. Apparently what the state makes in tax revenue off sales doesn't cover governmental bodies alcohol-related expenses. "The average per person cost of alcohol problems in 2010 (the last year data is available) was $861, amounting to a total cost of $5.6 billion annually statewide. Less than half of that yearly total was paid out by governments in Massachusetts due to budget constraints. The payments for lost productivity, property damage, health care, criminal justice and other costs connected to alcohol consumption averaged $345 per person or $2.2 billion annually. Meanwhile, the average per person revenue from alcohol excise taxes was $11 in 2020". Increasing alcohol tax is an effective way to dump more money into "government's coffers". Maryland was used as an example, which stated they had a positive result from an increase in their alcohol tax. They raised it by 3% in 2020 and raised almost $90 million in revenue. They put some of the extra money raised towards health care programs. They also claim an 11% decrease in alcohol consumption between 2011-2016. Mass "checks most boxes across the board" for lowest alcohol taxes for New England. Taxes were last raised in 1980 in MA, and they estimate it's lost 75% of it's value by not adjusting for inflation every year. As an example, beverages of over 30 proof are at $4.05/gallon whereas adjusted for inflation it should be $16.26/gallon. BOH Vice Chairwoman was hesitant and questioned what impact a vote would have. She said the state faces two certain challenges to this issue. One was Baker making liquor stores essential services during COVID, which she believes caused residents to use alcohol to numb their fear and contributed to addictions. Second was the large community of colleges and universities where drinking is a part of the culture. When she was asked if lawmakers will vote on it, she said "it's facing an uphill battle". She cited stores that sell liquor will likely not be in favor, as they will see a cut in their revenue. Also that some lawmakers may not be in favor as that means less sales which equal less revenue. The Mass Package Stores Association executive director said all that will accomplish is sending more people over state lines to NH (tax-free) or RI to buy their alcohol products or enticing people to illegally order online. A senator (Michael Moore) sits on the states Joint Committee on Revenue and said given how expensive everything is right now, now is not the time to raise the taxes. He believes people in Worcester will drive over state lines to RI and make their purchases which hurts the state as it is and also fears people will consume alcohol over state lines and travel back which could create a public health hazard. He believes education is the way to go. "At what point does the government or the individual have the role to monitor themselves?" In 2011, bills were sent through for an increase in tax and died. BOH also voted unanimously in favor to hold a meeting with lawmakers who's jurisdiction includes Worcester to try and lobby support for increasing alcohol excise tax. They also voted unanimously in favor to hold a meeting with the city's License Commission, which regulates Worcester's alcohol licenses. Currently the city has 293, with 231 on-premises and 62 off-premises and does not limit the number of licenses issued. The city's License Commission chairman says now is not the time to raise taxes either, as most restaurants and bars are struggling to stay open. In March, License Commission allowed bars and restaurants to offer full liquor bottle service for events, whereas previously it was only wine or beer (liquor was restricted since 2018).

2024.05.17 03:44 Acanhaceae-579 Dry eye symptoms?

Uveitis specialist says he thinks that I just have dry eyes and has me tapering off the steroid eye drops fairly quickly. I previously reflared when coming off of the drops and he said he wants to see me in a flare for proof of uveitis. The problem is- with every uveitis flare my vision gets blurrier and I’m scared to make it worse. I can’t even read the largest letter on the snellen chart tests. I have been on four times a day steroid eye drops for the past three weeks and no longer have symptoms and specialist said no inflammation present. I’m curious if everyone else here has the same symptoms of black dot floaters, eye redness, aching/burning eyes with increased joint/fatigue pain during flares, sensitive to light, blurry vision, and vision gets dark like a shadow over eyes? Do these symptoms overlap with dry eye symptoms too? He also prescribed me erythromycin ointment so I’m wondering if he thinks it was just an infection? He said that ophthalmologists commonly mistake dry eye symptoms for uveitis but I’m confused because when the other ophthalmologist looked in my eye he said he saw anterior uveitis with crystallizations present. My original ophthalmologist who I was referred to from a major city hospital referred me to the specialist because I reflared again when coming off steroid drops and considered me as recurring uveitis. I would hate to have to transfer offices to switch specialists during a steroid drop taper (I’m 100% positive I’m going to reflare but my next appointment isn’t until end of next month and I don’t want to end up back in the ER. My vision got really dark my last flare). I just have so many unanswered questions and nothing makes sense now

2024.05.17 03:43 businessnewstv How to get a free business bank account for your suit tailoring service in 2024

Importance of a business bank account

A business bank account is of utmost importance for launching a successful group home. It provides a dedicated financial platform to manage the financial transactions and operations of the business. With a business bank account, you can separate your personal finances from your business finances, ensuring clarity and transparency in your financial records. Additionally, having a business bank account allows you to accept payments from clients and customers, make business-related purchases, and track your business expenses more efficiently. By having a dedicated business bank account, you can demonstrate professionalism and establish credibility in the industry, which is crucial for the success of your bespoke tailoring service.

Benefits of a free business bank account

A free business bank account offers numerous benefits for your bespoke tailoring service. Firstly, it provides a dedicated account for your business finances, separating them from your personal funds. This not only helps in maintaining transparency but also simplifies bookkeeping and financial management. Additionally, a free business bank account often comes with features such as online banking, mobile banking, and the ability to accept card payments, making it convenient for your customers to pay for your services. Moreover, having a business bank account can enhance your professional image and credibility, as it demonstrates that you are a legitimate and serious business owner. Lastly, a free business bank account may offer perks such as discounted merchant services or access to business loans, which can further support the growth and success of your bespoke tailoring service.

Choosing the right bank for your bespoke tailoring service

Choosing the right bank for your bespoke tailoring service is a crucial decision that can impact the financial health and success of your business. When it comes to selecting a bank, there are several factors to consider. First and foremost, you need to ensure that the bank offers a free business bank account. This will help you save on unnecessary fees and charges, allowing you to allocate more resources towards growing your bespoke tailoring service. Additionally, it is important to choose a bank that understands the unique needs and requirements of your industry. Look for a bank that has experience working with businesses in the fashion and retail sector, as they will be better equipped to provide tailored financial solutions. Finally, consider the convenience and accessibility of the bank's services. Look for a bank that offers online banking, mobile banking, and a network of ATMs that are easily accessible to you and your customers. By carefully considering these factors, you can choose the right bank that will support the financial needs of your bespoke tailoring service.

Step 1: Researching free business bank account options

Understanding the features and limitations

Understanding the features and limitations of a free business bank account is crucial for any entrepreneur, especially those in the bespoke tailoring service industry. By comprehending the various aspects of such an account, tailors can make informed decisions about their financial management. One important consideration is the ability to handle healthcare staffing expenses efficiently. This entails understanding the features of the bank account that facilitate seamless payment processing for healthcare staffing services. Additionally, it is essential to be aware of any limitations that may exist, such as transaction limits or restrictions on certain types of healthcare staffing expenses. By having a clear understanding of these features and limitations, bespoke tailoring service providers can ensure the smooth operation of their businesses and effectively manage their financial resources.

Comparing fees and charges

When comparing fees and charges for business bank accounts, it is important to consider various factors. One such factor is the availability of group home opportunities. Group home opportunities provide a unique chance for bespoke tailoring services to expand their reach and cater to a wider audience. By offering specialized services to group homes, tailors can tap into a lucrative market and establish long-term partnerships. These partnerships can lead to increased revenue and brand recognition. Additionally, group home opportunities often come with additional benefits such as reduced fees or exclusive promotions. Therefore, it is essential for bespoke tailoring services to explore and take advantage of group home opportunities when selecting a business bank account.

Reading customer reviews and ratings

Reading customer reviews and ratings is an essential step in evaluating the quality and credibility of a business. It provides valuable insights into the experiences of previous customers and helps potential customers make informed decisions. When it comes to the bespoke tailoring service industry, staying ahead of the competition is crucial. One effective way to do this is by using a competitor tracking tool. This tool allows businesses to monitor and analyze the performance of their competitors, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and make strategic decisions based on the gathered data. By utilizing a competitor tracking tool, bespoke tailoring service providers can stay updated on the latest market trends, benchmark their own performance, and make necessary adjustments to stay competitive.

Step 2: Gathering required documents

Business registration documents

To register your bespoke tailoring service as a business, you will need to gather and submit the necessary business registration documents. These documents are essential for establishing the legal framework of your business and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The registration process typically includes obtaining a business license, registering your business name, and obtaining any required permits or certifications. It is important to carefully review the specific requirements in your jurisdiction and consult with a legal professional if needed. By completing the business registration process, you will be able to operate your bespoke tailoring service as a legitimate business entity, allowing you to provide your services to a wider audience and establish credibility in the industry.

Proof of identity and address

To open a free business bank account for your bespoke tailoring service, you will need to provide proof of identity and address. This is a necessary step to ensure the security and legitimacy of your business transactions. Proof of identity can include a valid passport, driver's license, or national ID card. For proof of address, you can provide a recent utility bill, bank statement, or government-issued document that clearly shows your name and address. By providing these documents, you can establish trust with the bank and gain access to the financial services you need to boost revenue.

Financial statements and tax returns

Financial statements and tax returns are essential components of running a successful business. These documents provide a clear and accurate picture of a company's financial health and help in making informed decisions. Financial statements include the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, which showcase the company's assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses. Tax returns, on the other hand, are filed annually and report the company's income and deductions for tax purposes. By maintaining accurate financial statements and filing tax returns diligently, businesses can ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and demonstrate transparency to stakeholders.

Step 3: Applying for a free business bank account

Completing the application form

Completing the application form is a crucial step in obtaining a free business bank account for your bespoke tailoring service. By providing accurate and detailed information, you can ensure a smooth and efficient process. One important aspect to consider is implementing effective email marketing strategies. Email marketing allows you to reach out to potential customers and build strong relationships with existing ones. By utilizing personalized and targeted emails, you can showcase your tailoring services, promote special offers, and keep customers informed about the latest trends in the industry. Implementing email marketing strategies can greatly enhance your business's visibility and attract a wider customer base. To maximize the impact of your email campaigns, it is essential to craft compelling subject lines, engaging content, and visually appealing designs. By following these best practices, you can leverage the power of email marketing to grow your bespoke tailoring service and achieve long-term success.

Submitting the required documents

To submit the required documents for opening a free business bank account for your bespoke tailoring service, you will need to gather several important pieces of information. First and foremost, you will need to provide proof of your business registration and legal status, such as your business license or registration certificate. Additionally, you will need to present identification documents for all authorized signatories, such as passports or driver's licenses. It is also necessary to provide proof of your business address, which can be done through utility bills or a lease agreement. Finally, you may be required to provide financial statements or tax returns to demonstrate the financial stability of your business. Once you have gathered all the necessary documents, you can submit them to the bank for review and approval. It is important to ensure that all documents are accurate and up-to-date to avoid any delays or complications in the account opening process.

Meeting with a bank representative

Meeting with a bank representative is a crucial step in the process of obtaining a free business bank account for your bespoke tailoring service. During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to discuss your business needs and requirements with a knowledgeable professional who can guide you through the account opening process. If everything is in order, you will receive a confirmation email or letter with instructions on how to proceed. Follow the instructions promptly to complete the activation process and gain access to your free business bank account. It is important to note that any discrepancies or incorrect information may cause delays or rejection of your application, so double-check all the details before submission. By following these steps diligently, you can activate your account and start enjoying the benefits of a free business bank account for your bespoke tailoring service.

Setting up online banking

Setting up online banking is an essential step for any business, including bespoke tailoring services. It provides a convenient and secure way to manage finances and make transactions. To set up online banking, there are a few key steps to follow. Firstly, research different banks that offer business accounts and compare their features and fees. Look for banks that provide free business bank accounts to minimize costs. Next, gather the necessary documents and information required by the bank, such as your business registration details, identification documents, and proof of address. Once you have all the required documents, visit the bank's website or contact their customer service to initiate the account opening process. Follow the instructions provided and fill out the required forms accurately. After submitting your application, the bank will review it and may require additional verification. Once your online banking account is approved, you will receive login credentials to access your account and start managing your finances effectively.

Ordering business checks and debit cards

Ordering business checks and debit cards is an essential step when starting a bespoke tailoring service. As a business owner, it is important to have the necessary financial tools to manage your finances effectively. One crucial aspect is obtaining a free business bank account that offers the convenience of business checks and debit cards. Frozen - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oF5N4q3ZtGj6ep2yChkNNsFzzh_iRtto/view?usp=sharing
Nice guys always get the girl. This is a fairy tale, you hear me? It’s not about just being cool or handsome. When you do nice things for people, they really do like you back just for doing nice things. Being a genuinely nice guy will really get the attention of people, both friends and romantic interests. The more good and nice things you do for people, genuinely good things, the more you’ll find them liking you. Of course, if they ask you to stop and you keep going, it might not count as nice things anymore.
There’s so much cuteness in you, one could honestly mistake you for a personification of a girl’s childhood memories of fun and innocence. No, really. You have an eternal wellspring of joy, happiness and innocence within you that allows you to continue those good feelings and experiences of wonder no matter what your life is like or how long you’ve been living. Other people can sense this wellspring too, making you both a lot easier to get along with and a lot harder to do nasty things to. A real bad guy could ignore this pretty easily but anyone not committed may find themselves hesitating for a few moments when they look into your eyes.

You are exceedingly attractive, Jumper. On purchase, you may choose whether this manifests as beauty on par with Snow White or an equivalent handsomeness. Be warned, such beauty may draw the ire of the Evil Queen. Beyond this, you passively give off an aura of purity and innocence. In addition to the general impression that you give off, this aura provides two other benefits. First, it will sow doubt into the hearts of those who seek to kill you, causing them to hesitate at crucial moments or give up entirely. This effect is not absolute, and is far less effective against truly wicked individuals. Second, it will draw in nearby non-hostile animals, such as deer, squirrels, and small birds. Animals that are at a human-level of intelligence or greater are not affected. You will find that you can communicate with these animals in broad terms, and get them to help you out in various ways, such as getting them to bring you things or take you to a nearby residence. If you are in danger, they will try to help out, either by confronting the danger directly, or running off to someone that can help and trying to bring them back to you. You may toggle the impression, doubt, or animal effects of this aura on or off as you please without impacting the parts of the perk you would like to keep on.

Perrito’s dream is to become a therapy dog and to help others. Doing this however, requires a number of skills which you have developed. These skills include being able to talk to others about their problems, being able to help people move past issues, and having them become comfortable with you. An example of this is that your presence seems to relax others. Even cold hearted and violent individuals will not be bothered by you. They might not be willing to open up immediately, but they will at least be willing to tolerate you and not harm you. Also touching you has a remarkably calming effect on others, draining them of all tension and stress. It might be less silly looking if you are a dog, but otherwise this means that you literally can solve virtually any mental issue with a hug. The more complex the problem the longer it will take. For example, curing someone of PTSD might take a few seconds, but curing complete insanity would take a full minute at least.
Perrito is a truly pure soul feeling no grief despite all that he has suffered. It is revealed that his family attempted to get rid of him multiple times and even attempted to murder him by drowning him in a lake. Even after everything all he wants in life is some friends who care about him. You share this spark and have been granted the kindness of the world. Even the most cold hearted beings will treat you favorably and your path will be one of leisure. Much like how Perrito’s path was one of simplicity, the challenges you face will be of a lower difficulty. For example, all of the other challenges posed by the Wishing Star were incredibly dangerous, but Perrito’s was simple as long as your heart was peaceful. The world will provide plenty of opportunities for you to grow personally and to build up your forces if you wish to claim them.

No matter how you behave, people seem to like you, or at least have a begrudging respect for you. You might be irritating or clingy, but those around you will focus more on your positive traits than your negatives. This won’t work on outright malicious behavior, but so long as you generally mean well, those around you and those close to you will see you in a good light.
People seem to be drawn to you. Whether it’s your charm, your money and fame, or what you represent, those around you seem to be eager to get close to you or in your favor. Making friends is easy, even if you’re new in town, and the people around you seem slightly more inclined to like you. Of course, if you have a significantly bad reputation, this effect can be lessened, though people still won’t want to be on your bad side.

As a golden child you radiate an aura of wholesomeness that is difficult to ignore. When you channel this energy and behave in ways that are in line with it you can inspire people to think of classic American heroes and classic American iconography. You remind people of apple pie and baseball, and times that often seem impossibly long ago. This can inspire heroes and can even get villains to be a touch more merciful or reasonable, though how effective it is will depend on the villain in question, particularly how fundamentally empathetic or human they are. That said, this can be extremely strong against tragic villains and villains who are questioning themselves.

2024.05.17 03:25 Jdaraneda97 Expedite Request help

Has anyone submitted an expedite request for severe financial loss to person? And if you have what documents did you provide? I talked to a rep over the phone and they suggested a letter from HR stating I can lose my job without my EAD or to send proof of bills and payments showing I need to continue working to provide for myself financially. I just wanted some insight on what other documents may help with my request. I am also a healthcare worker and although they are not accepting requests anymore will it help mentioning that? Thank you all in advance!!

2024.05.17 03:22 EJC28 Cowboys 2024 Draft Analysis Compilation

Round 1, Pick 29 - Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma:
NFL: The Cowboys bolster their offensive line with a player with the versatility to play either tackle position thanks to his athleticism. Guyton's elite traits could make him the next great Dallas O-lineman.
CBS Sports: B. This is a move that has been predicted by a lot of people. He played right tackle in college, but can move to the left side. This fills a major need.
ESPN: You never want to be forced into taking a specific position in the draft, but the Cowboys almost had to come away with an offensive lineman in the first round. By trading with Detroit, the Cowboys cost themselves a chance to take center Graham Barton, who is more ready to play right away, but Guyton plays a premium position at tackle. He will need time to adjust to the pro game as well as likely a new position after starting just 15 games at Oklahoma with 13 coming at right tackle. Replacing a legend like Tyron Smith at left tackle would be difficult for any rookie but patience might be the biggest key when assessing Guyton as a rookie.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: CBS asked him to stop writing letters to bring back AIRWOLF.
Round 2, Pick 56 - Marshawn Kneeland, DE, Western Michigan:
NFL: Demarcus Lawrence turns 32 in a few days, so taking a pass rusher whom many evaluators believed would be a top-50 pick makes a lot of sense. Kneeland caught my eye in Mobile at the Senior Bowl with his effort, natural strength and mass as a strong-side rush prospect. He's not ready for primetime yet, but Kneeland is a very intriguing player and a smart value pick here.
CBS Sports: B-. Big-time tester who might be just scratching the surface of how good he can be around the corner. Doesn’t quite play to his workout but works the edges of OTs very well. Shows glimpses of countering ability. Just didn’t ever dominate in the MAC. Roll of the dice.
ESPN: While others see running back and linebacker as a need, defensive end is a need too, especially when factoring in the departures in free agency of Dorance Armstrong and Dante Fowler Jr., and with DeMarcus Lawrence in the final year of his contract. Kneeland had 13 sacks and 28 tackles for loss in his career, but never topped more than 4.5 in a season.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Tried to fight The Most Interesting Man in the World when he was 7.
Round 3, Pick 73 - Cooper Beebe, OG, Kansas State:
NFL: I'm shocked Beebe lasted this long. To me, he's one of the most bust-proof players in this draft class, even if it's at a lower-priority position. But Beebe is a perfect fit in Dallas, where he can compete for a starting job eventually and provide strong depth inside. He could even be tried at center, if needed.
CBS Sports: B+. The reconstruction of the OL continues in Dallas. Older, super-experienced guard-only who’s rarely out of position. Athletic limitations are obvious. Low center of gravity gives him quality anchor. Smart pick here despite minimal upside. High floor.
ESPN: With Zack Martin potentially entering the final year of his time with the Cowboys, Beebe can be seen as a future starter at guard. There are some who believe he can play center, which is a need for the Cowboys even as they profess faith in Brock Hoffman. At Kansas State, however, he played every spot but center, although he saw time there in practices. He has the credentials as a two-time Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: He once farted so bad, everyone started looking for a body.
Round 3, Pick 87 - Marist Liufau, LB, Notre Dame:
NFL: Liufau was one of the last players on the cutting-room floor of my final top 100 list. He uses unusually long arms and rare burst to blow up his fair share of plays, but Liufau might be best off as a special-teams demon until he can refine his craft more as a linebacker.
CBS Sports: C+. Hair-on-fire off-ball LB who gets the expected results with that style. Many missed tackles. Many highlight-reel hits. Showed he can cover underneath. Plays faster than his workout. More build up speed than pure burst. Ball skills are lacking and can be easily baited by play-action. Plus blitzer. Fun add here but overaggression hurts him at times.
ESPN: The Cowboys signed Eric Kendricks in free agency, but linebacker was still a major need even with last year's third-round pick DeMarvion Overshown coming back from a torn ACL. He started the final 25 games of his career at Notre Dame and had 44 tackles, six tackles for loss and three sacks. He was a pre-draft visitor to the Cowboys, which has been a precursor to the team selecting players in recent years.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Still upset about the Pluto thing… I mean is it a planet or dog?
Round 5, Pick 174 - Caelen Carson, CB, Wake Forest:
NFL: With the drop-off at corner, I thought Carson might go a round or two earlier than this, but I am guessing his size and durability questions knocked him down a bit. Carson isn't an elite playmaker but could vie for nickel and special teams duty.
CBS Sports: B+. Smaller outside CB with just enough quicks to scoot inside if he needs to. Instincts are there. Quicker than fast. And some stiffness appears on film when getting out of his backpedal to change directions. Sound tackler. Not a standout trait type but does everything well.
ESPN: The running back wait continues, but Carson was under consideration by the Cowboys at pick No. 73 when they took Beebe. He did not record an interception in each of his final two seasons and had just three for his career, but he had 42 tackles, one tackle for loss, eight pass deflections, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery last season. With Trevon Diggs coming off a torn ACL and Stephon Gilmore currently unsigned, cornerback was a need for the Cowboys even if they had re-signed Jourdan Lewis.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Knows 87 different birds species the Jack Daw is his favorite.
Round 6, Pick 216 - Ryan Flournoy, WR, Southeast Missouri State:
NFL: Flournoy was surprisingly present at the Senior Bowl, besting several bigger-school corners and consistently catching short and intermediate passes. His speed might be undersold, but Flournoy might be close to maxed out as a prospect.
CBS Sports: A. Big, chiseled vertical threat who makes it a nightmare for DBs to corral him once he gets the ball in his hands. While he’s not incredibly sudden, he is a horse in space. Back-shoulder skill is there. Love this pick.
ESPN: The running back wait continues as the Cowboys go with Flournoy, who performed well against better competition at the Senior Bowl. He is older, turning 25 in October, he caught 118 passes for 1,823 yards and 13 touchdowns in two years at Southeast Missouri. The Cowboys have CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks and Jalen Tolbert as their top three receivers and have a role for KaVontae Turpin and like Jalen Brooks' ability. Martavis Bryant ended last season on the practice squad and will have a chance to show if he can recapture the ability he showed in Pittsburgh before a series of suspensions. At 6-2, 205 pounds, Flournoy has the size the Cowboys like in their receivers.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Pick 216! Quick, call someone in Cleveland and let them know.
Round 7, Pick 233 - Nathan Thomas, OT, Louisiana-Lafayette:
NFL: Thomas was a high school tight end who has successfully shifted to left tackle in college, which is probably where he'll be tried in the NFL. He's an unrefined product but has enough upside to invest in here.
CBS Sports: A. No-nonsense power blocker with serious girth and starting caliber length to stay at OT in the NFL. Not a high-level athlete but wins with initial quicks and a deft utilization of his length to get into DL’s in a flash. Recovery want-to is there. One of my favorite blockers in the class.
ESPN: At this point of a draft, it's about traits. At 6-5, 334 pounds, he was a two-year starter. This is the third offensive lineman the Cowboys have taken, but the first on Day 3. The Cowboys have used picks on the final day on Richards, Waletzko, Ball, Matt Farniok and Tyler Biadasz since Mike McCarthy took over as coach. Only Biadasz, a fourth-rounder, developed into a starter. Thomas could have some position flexibility as a guard, too.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Once mused that death is just another path, one that we all must take.
Round 7, Pick 244 - Justin Rogers, DT, Auburn:
NFL: Rogers is blocky and stiff, but he's tough to move in the run game and could make it as a run-stopping interior defender.
CBS Sports: C. Classic block-eating nose tackle. Knows how to handle doubles and will occasionally make a play against the run. Lacks the burst, length, or hand work to win routinely up the field.
ESPN: Defensive tackle is a need. The Cowboys lost Johnathan Hankins in free agency and Mazi Smith, their first-round pick last year, did not produce much as a rookie and is coming back from shoulder surgery. A seventh-round pick does not prevent the Cowboys from looking at a veteran defensive tackle. Rogers is 6-3, 346 pounds, so he would have the size to help the run defense. At Kentucky and Auburn he had 94 tackles, seven tackles for loss and three sacks.
NFL Absolutely Not Fake News: Odds are he has a reddit account and posts on cat subs.

GENERAL SMITH BRIEFS PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP ON RED HATS. April 16, 2024.
General Eric M. Smith clandestinely visited Florida last week to brief President Trump on the “Red Hat threat,” a source in the general’s office told Real Raw News.
The source said Gen. Smith arrived at Mar-a-Lago Friday while Trump appeared publicly alongside embattled House Speaker Mike Johnson, whom White Hats distrust for backing a criminal country ruled by a pedophile president. The general’s spontaneous visit, however, focused on another immediate threat—the rise of the Red Hats.
Our source said the general stayed in the shadows until Trump concluded his daily speaking engagements and then spoke privately with him inside Mar-a-Lago’s fortified command center. As their conversation was confidential, and Gen. Smith did not share specifics with his aides afterward, RRN can report only what our source learned at the briefing given by Gen. Smith before his trip to Florida.
According to our source, Gen. Smith received a second letter from the mysterious Colonel Kurtz last week, in which Kurtz denied responsibility for the brutal slaughter of the four FEMA agents White Hats had found in a Kansas warehouse on April 9.
“General Smith: I know you, but, apparently, you don’t know me or how I operate. Do you really believe I’d order men to hang around in a warehouse dismembering corpses into little pieces or slowly torturing them to death? That’s the work of amateurs—amateurs lingering and waiting to be caught. You and I, General Smith—we’re professionals. In and out. Get the job done efficiently and swiftly, silently, with no messy leftovers. Those predators got what they deserved, so I applaud their deaths, but we had nothing to do with that one,” part of the letter read.
Kurtz then dove deep down the rabbit hole of CERN-style conspiracy theories, trying to justify “accidentally” causing the earthquake that shook the tristate area on April 5 and the 51 subsequent aftershocks. As reported previously, Kurtz was convinced that the Deep State had for nefarious reasons built a hadron collider beneath the epicenter. He claimed without proof that his men, having infiltrated the subterranean complex, had set explosives that destroyed the collider and “accidentally” triggered the quake. In his most recent letter, Kurtz said the collider’s destruction, not his ordnance, produced the earthquake.
“Secondary explosion. The collider catastrophically exploded with more power than I’d anticipated, and it stressed the Ramapo fault zone. See what they made me do?” Kurtz wrote, adding that the Deep State intended to use the collider to open a portal to a dark dimension and confront its demonic inhabitants.
“They wanted to strike a deal with them or take their power and use it to reorder the Earth to their liking. Life, as we know it, could’ve ended in an instant, General Smith. Were my actions reckless? History will decide. But the ends justify the means,” Kurtz went on.
His letter segued back to the dead FEMA agents. “My concerns are global. Despicable as FEMA is, I would not waste manpower chasing four nobodies. When we act, you’ll know it. And one more thing: I know you’re sending men to New York. We’ll be there too. Let’s not get in each other’s way.”
Our source said that Gen. Smith told the White Hat council he would show Trump Kurtz’s letter and describe Kurtz as a morally compromised patriot whose unsound methods endangered civilians and threatened White Hat operations.
“He [Kurtz] is a loose cannon operating without any restraint. Maybe he’s not involved in Kansas, but it’s only a matter of time before his lunacy gets people, and that could mean us, killed,” Gen. Smith told the council ahead of leaving for Florida.
“Gen. Smith wore a poker face when he got back, so I don’t know the depth of their conversation. No idea what President Trump might’ve said to him. He thinks Kurtz is dangerous, and he wanted to ensure Trump knew that,” our source said in closing.
