It’s a pirate story that takes place in medieval times. The MC is an exiled princess who is invited onto a ship by her childhood best friend, Skylar (Skye for short). It’s basically a multiple LI choice story and I personally think it’s great. As far as I know, the author hasn’t updated it so there’s only 4 chapters out but all of them are pretty long and are really great. It’ll have you craving for more. I haven’t seen any posts or content about this story, and I think it needs more love. Maybe if the story’s given enough attention, the author will decide to update it. What do you guys think?

The background:
This is a long story because there's a lot of important background info that's relevant, but I want to start by saying my partner is a very kind, thoughtful, communicative, intelligent, and passionate man. We are from different countries, with different native languages, and are both currently living in my country (US). We met living in a major city, got very invested in each other very quickly, and after about 3-4 months he dropped a bomb that he'd applied for PhD programs all over the world and gotten into one in Europe. I have a really fantastic job and am pursuing an industry funded PhD in the city we met in, so moving was not an option for me. I had just gotten out of a LDR about a year prior to meeting him, and it really did not work for me because I value physical contact. But I really loved this man, he was so wonderful, treated me like an absolute princess in a way I've never really experienced, and I couldn't bare the thought of ending things, so we tried to make it work.
Fast forward, it's been like 2 more years. He reapplied to schools in the US and left his program in Europe to come back here and be closer to me (the visa issues and cost of the trans Atlantic flight were very difficult to manage). He is still a 2hr plane ride and 3 hour car ride away. This is tough because he doesn't have a car, but we see each other approximately every other month for at least a weekend, and spend summer break in my city.
For a variety of reasons, we are still really struggling. Our communication is off, and we have constant arguments and misunderstandings. I think we often miss each other because things are literally lost in translation (I am taking classes to learn his language, but we still primarily communicate in English). Our lives are now very different - I make a decent amount of money, travel frequently, I have roots in my city, and a good friend group and busy social life. This was how both of our lives were when we met, but he's now making very little money as a student and so he really can't travel even on a budget, a lot of his friendships have fallen off or moved away, and he's living in rural Midwestern US. I care so much but I'm losing track of what we had in common, and it's increasingly difficult for me to just "flip the switch" into relationship mode when he is here.
The conflict:
We had a very healthy but also honest conversation when he arrived for the summer a few weeks ago that neither of us were very happy, our communication is really poor, and decided that we would try to actively improve our relationship this summer and reassess if we wanted to continue in the fall. We had a big party yesterday, as we do a few times a year, and my boyfriend had fun all day, but at some point got really drunk and told my roommates' partner that he used to hate her, but he likes her a lot more now. I didn't witness this, and he wouldn't or couldn't tell me what he said, but another roommate approached him to say this really wasn't okay and the person was hurt by his words. He brushed it off saying he didn't mean it. We've talked a lot about how what you mean isn't as important as how it is perceived, and that having a filter is important, and my roommate was echoing these exact things I've said to him (which I have never mentioned to her), so I very much believe it happened. The partner he said this to also lives in our house about 50% of the time. My roommates allow him to live with us rent free over the summers because he has to maintain a residence in the state his uni is in and is pretty much flat broke, but this is really just out of kindness on their part. They could very easily ask for addition rent (our rate was just hiked significantly) and besides that, he's disturbed the peace in my home, which I really do not like.
He then sat down next to me (I was playing video games on the couch with a male friend, who is recently engaged, very kind, and totally platonic) and my boyfriend started muttering under his breath about how I wanted this guy and we were fucking or something. I don't even think my friend understood it was directed at him, but I definitely did. At this point I brought my boyfriend upstairs because I didn't want him to say any more shitty things to my friends. I asked him very calmly what was going on and he could barely make eye contact, would not acknowledge what I was saying, and wouldn't give me any straight answers. He then proceeded to say a bunch of horrible shit about our relationship, how it was already over there was no point trying, I would be happier fucking other people. I cried and hyperventilated all night and sent him to a friend's in the morning. I should mention that I am the child of a really nasty drunk who used to say horrible things and not remember anything in the morning. This experience really really triggered me.
I've had several lesser unpleasant experiences with him while drinking, and one major one where he made a friend's partner cry in front of a huge group of people while drinking at a beer garden. In that situation, what the person was saying was shitty, and it was okay to call her out, but he couldn't exercise the self control to stop himself from hammering her into the ground about it to the point of tears. This woman is now engaged to his best friend and their friendship has never been the same since this happened. For someone who genuinely is a thoughtful and emotionally aware person, I think he really struggles to read the room. He's very proud of his country, generally stubborn, and politically opinionated and this can be really damaging combined with the communication issues I often experience with him. He is fluent in English, but doesn't understand a lot of nuances (how strong the word "hate" is, for example, or when someone is trying to politely change an uncomfortable topic). All of these traits get a lot worse with alcohol and while I don't think he's an addict, I do think he's shown a few times now that he is an angry drunk, which is very scary to me.
In the morning, he was very apologetic and accepted the blame and said he would take steps to fix this problem so he wasn't drunk like this around me again, but I fear he's damaged a relationship with my friends and housemates, and also with me, in a way that's not easily repairable. We were already struggling, and I was very committed to trying to resolve our differences, and work on our relationship, but I am no longer sure it's worth trying. This is something that will take a lot of time for me to get over, and we don't have that much time together, and we also don't have very much space. He is staying with friends for a few days but beyond that if I can't deal with sharing my room he just needs to go back to his state
Am I overreacting to this situation? Would you try and work it out? I recognize that this is a trigger for me, and maybe I could get past it with time. Our relationship was already a little broken, and now feels shattered. I am so sad sitting here without him, but I am so upset I don't know how to move forward. Is it just time to move on from this? I love this guy so much but maybe I am beating a dead horse here.

This is a long story because there's a lot of important background info that's relevant, but I want to start by saying my partner is a very kind, thoughtful, communicative, intelligent, and passionate man. We are from different countries, with different native languages, and are both currently living in my country (US). We met living in a major city, got very invested in each other very quickly, and after about 3-4 months he dropped a bomb that he'd applied for PhD programs all over the world and gotten into one in Europe. I have a really fantastic job and am pursuing an industry funded PhD in the city we met in, so moving was not an option for me. I had just gotten out of a LDR about a year prior to meeting him, and it really did not work for me because I value physical contact. But I really loved this man, he was so wonderful, treated me like an absolute princess in a way I've never really experienced, and I couldn't bare the thought of ending things, so we tried to make it work.
Fast forward, it's been like 2 more years. He reapplied to schools in the US and left his program in Europe to come back here and be closer to me (the visa issues and cost of the trans Atlantic flight were very difficult to manage). He is still a 2hr plane ride and 3 hour car ride away. This is tough because he doesn't have a car, but we see each other approximately every other month for at least a weekend, and spend summer break in my city.
For a variety of reasons, we are still really struggling. Our communication is off, and we have constant arguments and misunderstandings. I think we often miss each other because things are literally lost in translation (I am taking classes to learn his language, but we still primarily communicate in English). Our lives are now very different - I make a decent amount of money, travel frequently, I have roots in my city, and a good friend group and busy social life. This was how both of our lives were when we met, but he's now making very little money as a student and so he really can't travel even on a budget, a lot of his friendships have fallen off or moved away, and he's living in rural Midwestern US. I care so much but I'm losing track of what we had in common, and it's increasingly difficult for me to just "flip the switch" into relationship mode when he is here.

So, once again, I am in the position where the president of the board needs to send out communication to the board about the board meeting next week. Literally, the ONLY time they send me the final draft to email out is late on Friday night. Then texts me on Sunday afternoon saying … “I noticed the communication to the board hasn’t been sent”. I do not mind punching in and getting overtime for emailing out the comms. However, this weekend was unique where there was a technical glitch and the wifi etc was compromised. And now quite a few of the board members are emailing me saying “it’s not working!?!?”
I need to touch base with our IT in the morning and see what the glitch it. I am confident it will be resolved but I am resentful that it appears that I made a mistake when they send me their shit to email out at the 11th hour.

Last week I posted about my Ender 3 V2 screen dying. Nothing I tried including replacing the cable and flashing firmware (on the printer and on the screen), could bring it back to life. You can see the original post here:
I decided to buy a new controllescreen, but am still having a problem. This new screen will turn on, but I am getting a looping sequence of color flashes that scream error to me. See attached video (note that the SD card is not the one I'm using for firmware). Basically it starts (and the text is upside down) then loops through red, green, blue, blank, off, then white, red, green, blue, and blank again.
I've tried flashing the new unit with display firmware. I've tried loading new printer firmware. I've tried various Marlin versions for my printer and motherboard (4.2.7). I'm using a 4GB micro SD formatted to Fat32 with 4KB allocation. Nothing is working. Any fresh ideas to try, or anyone know what's causing this issue?

My first post here so please bear with me as I try to explain my situation. For context I love reading and researching new topics. So whenever I read a book, watch a youtube video or even scroll through reels I get this constant feeling that I should do something too, like start a youtube channel, write a book, make content for Instagram, etc.
It's like I have so much information in my head that I feel I should share it, spread the knowledge kind of thing. However, I am also a serial procrastinater so I never do anything about it, always doubt if anyone will find my content useful or find some other excuse.
I also have a habit of moving on from thing to other so it's not like i have a mastery over one topic; I'm mostly definitely the jack of all, master of none type (or a Multipotentialite as I've recently learned). I feel like even if I undertake a project to do something I will leave it midway and move on to something else
How do I get out of this vicious circle? How do I stop this perpetual urge to do something productive?! I can't even relax while reading/watching something normal.

I've been inspired by another post on the brisbane thread about a good deed that was not repaid. Wanted to share a good deed that occurred to me and express and overdue thankyou to the kind gentleman. This occurred to me, Sunday, 12th May approx 10:30am, crossing south Brisbane end of hale Street at Go Between Bridge on Neuron scooter. Had a paper bag full of contents (head phones, phone charger, pack of new undies etc), was lightly raining and bag decided to break at the bottom just as I was crossing the intersection. Spilled contents for several meters in the middle of the road, I froze, picked up a few things, was very flustered due to cars waiting, decided the other things will have to stay on the road, managed to push scooter to footpath and ran back onto road (without even thinking of checking for cars!) noticed a gold Mitsubishi Pajero pull up just close to where all my things were spilled (noticed him but didn't really know what they were doing), then as I finished picking up my things I looked up and a man (approx 40ish?) got out of his car with a reusable shopping bag and handed it too me, in my annoyed/anxious/panicky state I managed to register the generosity and kindness and so wanted to make a point of showing my gratitude by saying thank you as genuinely as I could. I was genuinely touched as you drove away and waved and I wanted to write this as a thank you for the past week but I kept on second guessing myself, but your act of kindness was much appreciated and definitely not forgotten and a very sincere thank you and best wishes for a good future for you and your family :)

I’ve been living in a four-bed student apartment for a couple years now, and the utilities have been under my name that whole time. I get the gas and utility bills every month, and I split the cost four ways but pay a little extra on my part for my car which I charge outside using one of the outlets. After doing those calculations I send out Venmo requests, and save for some occasional delays it hasn’t been an issue for years.
However, at the end of this last semester three of the roommates moved out and three new ones were meant to move in. I informed them ahead of time that I handled the utility payments and to let me know if they had any questions. I heard nothing from any of them in return, but figured I’d simply address it when they moved in. When move-in day came around however, I noticed that only one of them actually moved in. The other two rooms didn’t seem to be opened and the apartment was unusually silent. Again, I just let this be, assuming that perhaps they just planned to move in later.
This was all early this month. The other day the first bill finally came in, and the other rooms still seemed untouched. I sent out another email saying that the gas bill has come in and that I needed everyone’s Venmo. The one guy that moved in was very quick at getting his back to me, but I heard nothing else from the other two until I received an email from one of them with the following message:

I've rented this place to store my belongings over the summer, as I've been out of the country since the beginning of the rental period. Since I'm not living there, would it be okay if you and the others could split the utility bills without including me?Now normally I would be annoyed but willing to maybe bite the bullet. However it’s not just him but two people gone, meaning the 25% split would now be just a 50/50 between the other roommate and I if the other person is in a similar situation. I’ve heard of people signing housing contracts just to establish residency for in-state tuition at my university, so the fact the fourth one hasn’t shown up yet makes me believe that’s the case as well. While on the surface this also wouldn’t be a huge issue with two people not contributing to the overall bill, I’ve been handling the utilities long enough to know full well that the majority of the expense comes from the AC/Heater. The actual contributions an individual makes to the bill are very small, and I wouldn’t expect the total to decrease much at all.

I’ve played brawlhalla for roughly 6 years, but alas it’s fatal flaw I could ignore no longer: it’s pretty stale when you’ve been playing for a while. I’ve tried getting into the fgc, but (barring Samsho) none of them scratched the itch platform fighters do. And since I’m making friends that are very good at smash (multiple of them have been on par with good local players from what I’ve heard) I figured that now would be a good time to get into smash (beats waiting for mv to re release), and step one for me in any game is to find my main. But it’s been quite a chore, so here I am asking for help.
I’ll go over my previous mains/playstyles in brawlhalla terms in case anyone who has played or currently plays both happens across this, then I’ll summarize what I’m looking for in simpler terms in case that helps
The last time I played, I was in the midst of getting hooked on one character: Thea. Thea was a pretty fun character to play for me,likely sure to the simplicity of both weapons as well as my experience with Lance (scarlet), I liked the fact I could rush down my opponents, but from a distance. That extra distance helped me when I was on the defensive end of things. It also helped that her sigs traded damage for speed, opening a new gateway for combos and mixups for me when I went from pushing in safely to “I’m in your face for one combo”. The third green flag for me was her offstage ability. Lance and boots were like a dream combo for offstage play, although I went offstage rarely.
As for some red flags, her survivability was pretty bad. That’s it, she just got sent out to the blast zone easier than others.
Now to summarize what I’m looking for in non brawlhalla terms:
1- a character that’s able to wall you out, then approach when the time is right
2- a character that can survive longer
3- effective combo/mixup tools
4- preferably simpler in terms of execution, but if some characters that fit the mold require higher levels of execution I’m willing to take on the challenge

Hello, I am in a similar situation. About a month ago, I messaged somebody and said some things I shouldn’t have said on what’s app. The messages didn’t deliver for a whole week and it never changed from the single check mark, assuming they just don’t have the app installed anymore and they could install it back anytime. I blocked them, deleted the app, and tried deleting my account. Either way, it’s been about 30 days. Does anybody know If they can still receive those messages if they download there what’s app back on there phone. And will it show the times and dates (which was a month ago and before I wasn’t aloud to speak to the person) when the messages were sent despite me blocking them and uninstalling the app? The reason I ask is because I’m not supposed to be speaking to this person at all. I’m assuming if they download the app again, either the messages won’t show (because they delete after 30 days undelivered) or it should show the dates and times I sent them, which was before I was told not to reach out to them.
Either way I got an entire new phone and phone number and don’t have access to that what’s app or device anymore.
My main 2 questions are, will they not deliver after 30 days to that person and will they just not see them when they install the app again? If they do end up seeing the messages, will it show the correct time I SENT them (despite blocking them) which was over a month ago?

Other than wanting to lure Hinata out of the church so that Laplace could investigate the church, was there anything more into why Yuuki had done this?
I ask because Damrada, who's a direct subordinate of the Emperor and an important character in the Eastern Empire was the one who tricked Hinata into fighting Rimuru. Was there anything more to exactly why Yuuki did this other than just it being a plot to lure Hinata away from the church for a period of time?
The fact that it was Damrada who acted as the merchant makes me think there's more to this scheme than it just being Yuuki's idea. Was this perhaps part of Yuuki wanting to keep close relations ties with an individual like Damrada for his ambitions in the East, as it's something Damrada would be all for, hurting the west and Rimuru specifically?
People still claim Light Novel Yuuki is as evil as web novel Yuuki, and although it's clear web novel Yuuki is pure evil, for people who've read the Light Novel it should be clear that he isn't evil in the actual canon content. He just has this grand ambition that he's willing to sacrifice anyone who he doesn't really care about to achieve it as they're necessary sacrifices.
If he was truly as evil as web novel Yuuki I don't get why he'd have such a sad and sentimental moment with the Troupe as they met their end. Also his parting message to Rimuru was quite somber showing he doesn't actually hold any sort of resentment to our slime.
Other than him still being this manipulator working for his own ambitions, I don't see how he's even close to as evil as web novel Yuuki.
