2024.05.19 19:20 SquintingADSzo0m Any MMO mouse recommendations for small hands

I’ve been using the Redragon m811 and have been loving it. Sadly I can only use the last 3 rows of buttons on the side. The Logitech G300 and Viper Mini were perfect but the lack of side buttons for most of what I play kinda forced me to retire them. I know they are niche but any recommendations for these types of mouse?

Aerox 3, but better
I love the shape of this mouse, specially the way the back is wide. I have somewhat stiff hands and fingers, so being able to kind of palm the back of back was so nice. However, the mouse itself had issues. Anyone have any recommendations that are kind of the same shape and weight? I’ve been using the sora v2 and xy’s rail, and I’m playing Valorant. Thanks!

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?

2024.05.19 14:09 dogsarenice69 Looking to buy a PC from a friend, is this good tor what I need/value for money?

Hi guys,
I am looking to buy a PC that I can use for various media projects that I wish to get into such as graphic design/digital drawing, videography/photography editing, music production, and things of this nature. Essentially I want a decent PC that will allow me to do these types of things efficiently.
I would also potentially look at some PC gaming but I'm not somebody who needs the best graphics etc as I happily play PS5.
My friend has offered to sell me his spare PC since he has upgraded already. He's not the type of person who would screw me but I told him I would consider his offer and do some research. These are the specs of the PC and he wants $1,000 Australian dollars which is approximately $670 USD or 614 euros give or take.
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x ($400) GPU: Nvidia gtx 1660 ($350) RAM: G skill 3200 mhz 16GB ($90) 250GB SSD ($50) 2TB Hard drive ($50) Motherboard: A320M - H (100) Case (50) G502 mouse (used for 1 month $280) Logitech G640 mousepad ($40) He's also potentially willing to throw in the desk that he doesn't use to sweeten the deal for me.
Is it a good deal for what I want a PC for? He says that it will be fine for those things I wish to use it for but obviously I am looking for second opinions before I commit to buying it. I'm not really deep into PCs so I don't know too much about what hardware I'd actually need for what I want to use it for.
I'd appreciate any help or advice, Cheers!

2024.05.19 12:50 Kalfadhjima Looking for a gaming laptop under 800€

LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE
France, 800€ maximum. Preferably around 650€ if at all possible.
No.
Battery life doesn't matter. Performance is important for gaming.
As long as it's not painfully heavy, it's okay.
N/A.
Gaming is the only demanding thing I'll be doing with this.
I'm not looking to run high spec brand new releases. Stray might be the most demanding out of the games I want to play with that laptop. Stable FPS count is more important than high FPS count, preferably 60 but I can deal with 30 if that's the best I can get, on at least medium settings.
Wifi, at least one USB port (to plug in a mouse and keyboard, with a HUB if necessary) and a way to plug in HDMI - either an actual port, or a USB-C port that I can plug a converter into. I think that's pretty standard though.
I'd prefer something that meets the specs I'm asking for out of the box. I don't really want to have to tinker with it.
I already have a fairly recent desktop computer, that can run all my games. So I am not looking for something that'll be able to play future releases - I've got my desktop for that. This laptop would be for when I go on a vacation or when I just really want to stay in bed, so I can still play a good chunk of my games then.
I'm also not in a hurry - if there's nothing within my current budget I'm open to suggestions for something a bit (a bit - let's stay sub 1000€ here) outside of it until I can afford to spend more, as long as the thing in question remains available at that price until then.

2024.05.19 12:43 chezq7 Mouse doesn't work properly for a few minutes but works normally after using it slowly

Hi all. I've been having some weird issues with my PC. Currently using a Razer Viper 8khz, but this issue happened with my Steelseries Rival 100. When I first boot up, my mouse would have issues if I move too quickly. It would either stop, and then teleport, or would disconnect completely. Sometimes, the Razer app won't recognise the mouse and the RGB settings won't apply to it. This goes away after waiting for about 10 minutes, and in that time I have to move the mouse super slowly. Any ideas for what could be the issue? I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers via device manager and tried reinstalling Razer Synapse but nothing works. Have tried using other ports as well. TIA! Here's my build:

CPUL: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual
RAM: Klevv Bolt X 3600mhz 16GB

T14s G3 problems
Hi all, I am having a bit of a problem with my T14s gen3 6650u laptop. The laptop worked fine in the evening, after work it was turned off (it was not left on the charger overnight). Today it won't boot. This is a strange problem as it boots when the charger is plugged in, but cannot boot the system. (I am using Ubuntu 24.04) The grub menu appears and when I select Ubuntu the laptop shuts down and the LED flashes several times. I managed to run the diagnostic program and it passed without errors (it was quick 10min test, now I'm running full long test). I even reset it to factory defaults in UEFI Graphics. Nothing helped. It still won't boot without the cable, and after plugging the cable in, it won't boot at all.

Hello,
I use my mouse for long hours at works and currently using a cheap logitech mouse. I am looking for a new mouse that can be comfortable to use for hours and has some extra features (wirless with good battery, multiple buttons...).
I was thinking of getting the Logitech Mx Master 3s. What do you think of this choice? And do you have other recommendation?

2024.05.19 10:51 TACOTONY02 Wireless Mouse seem to be disconnecting/not working for frequent short intervals

I have a Logitech B170 mouse and for the longest time it worked just fine, however as of late the mouse has been acting up and isn't receiving input for short but frequent durations.
For one, I was playing Killing Floor 2 earlier and there were moments (about a couple seconds) where I couldn't look around at all as my mouse wasn't responding.
I already switched the batteries as well but the problem didn't go away?
I suspect it could be heat or impact damage, I did drop the mouse a while back but that was several months ago and in the past 2 months the temperatures have been quite high where I live and it went around 40-50 Celsius

2024.05.19 10:04 Crafty_Sample1682 Maplestory (GMS and MSEA) Monster Life Discharge Macro using G HUB Lua script

Hi, I know this may be against game policy and may bring criticism. But Monster Life is over soon, so I thought those in hurry of making level 40 farm in MSEA and GMS would NEED this. No meso cubes but meso caps, why play nice...
This is a video of what fully scripted auto care & discharge should look like : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZj9XyKVERM&t=1s . However, I'm not a software engineer or any coding related expert; so, my script i'm sharing is only discharge part (you would either have to find a different or make this better if you want it to be fully automatic like the video)
Credits to 경제분석박사 for sharing this script https://www.inven.co.kboard/maple/2302/15022 loooong ago. I edited my scrlpt based on this. Having said this, I don't take any troubleshooting questions; I'm no expert (if I did it, you 200% can fix it)
So before using this, a few requirements and basics:
  1. You need logitech mouse to connect to G HUB
  2. You need about 12,000,000 Waru in your Monster Life for fully leveling to 40 (More if you don't have Pharaoh Yeti <- btw always lock this to not mistakenly discharge it)
The basics
  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyg93s_XPdw . watch this video to set up Lua features. I didn't scan and make new profile for Maplestory because when it runs it turns to desktop profile and glitched. So, I recommend using Desktop profile as it is.
  2. The OutCount = n (*at 26 now) is how many you want to discharge in one run. Change "n" as per your monsters out
  3. You may notice in the scrlpt , there is CarePet function. I used it to hit additional enter after RemovePet function (the discharge), so manually "Auto Take Care" first before using this (buying C-grade box and opening them is also manual)
  4. I put the Monster Life in full screen and adjusted the absolute mouse position to click the check box that appear in the center when discharge was clicked. Monster Life is usually 1024 * 768 but if yours is somehow not, then you may need to either adjust screen size or the scrlpt itself "MoveMouseTo(31065, 36865)" <--- it means (x,y) or (left to right, low to high)
  5. Hover your mouse cursor to the first monster to be discharge (one right to Pharaoh Yeti) then press 5 (4:08 of the lua intro video)to run it as shown in the photo below
In the lua script code dialog copy the script below and load it
count = 0 -- 조합카운트
OutCount = 26 --돌보기후 펫방출 반복횟수

2024.05.19 08:16 Pure_Put_4392 Does anyone have any UX to share for these specific wireless keyboard and keyboard cases for Tab S9 series?

Hi, I'm currently considering these options for my educated buying purpose for wireless keyboard or keyboard case to buy for my Galaxy Tab S9? Can anyone share their UX, and its pros and cons so far if you've used one of the products mentioned below? And how does it compare to the official Book Cover Keyboard?. Here's some links to the product from their official site that I'm referring to. I think the most notable ones that I've researched (or the ones that its ads popup regularly) so far is the Doqo, Dexnor, and Logitech. I've already tried the book cover in their official offline store in my country and wanted to look for alternatives.

2024.05.19 07:30 White_Ring Best gaming mouse to buy right now

Hello everyone, The most asked question in most gaming related subreddits in "what the best gaming mouse?" I have seen a lot of redditors struggling to find the best gaming mouse for themselves. Some people find it difficult to find the best in budget mouse. So, I have created a list of best gaming mouse to cover all your needs. It includes some high-end mouse and some budget options too.
  1. Razer Viper V2 Pro (best overall)
  2. Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro (runner up)
  3. Logitech G305 Lightspeed (best budget)
  4. Fantech Aria XD7 (best mid range)
  5. Razer Basilisk V3 (budget alternative)

Razer Viper V2 Pro - $100

The Razer Viper V2 Pro is the best mouse for gaming. It has the same shape as previous models in this popular lineup, which makes it ideal for using a claw or fingertip grip. However, it's now significantly lighter and features Razer's updated Focus Pro 30K sensor, one of the most accurate and consistent sensors we've tested. Additionally, its click buttons use optical switches designed to prevent double-clicking and last longer than standard mechanical switches.
While this version is significantly lighter and easier to move quickly, it lacks some features that characterized previous models in the lineup, including rubber side grips, RGB lighting, and side buttons on both sides. If you're more interested in weight savings, you may feel these changes are for the best.

Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro - $133

With over 15 million sold since its inception, the Razer DeathAdder has certainly earned its place as one of the best gaming mouse. There have been so many iterations and variants of the legendary mouse and with the newest one, the DeathAdder V3 Pro, Razer isn’t really messing with a winning formula. This is a mouse that focusses on the very best aspects of its predecessor, and that comes in the form of excellent ergonomics and pro-level performance.
It's fast, comfortable, has excellent battery life, and is supremely accurate in the right hands. Razer claims 90 hours battery life, and the little squeaker only needed a mere single charge in three weeks of usage.

Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED - $40

If you want to stick to a more budget price point, I recommend the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED. The G305's symmetrical, egg-shaped body is very comfortable and accommodating for nearly all hand sizes using a claw or fingertip grip. The build quality is also impressive. There's no creaking or flexibility in the body, and despite being significantly more affordable, it feels nearly as premium as the more expensive Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED. It connects wirelessly with Logitech's LIGHTSPEED USB receiver and gets an impressive advertised battery life of up to 250 hours from a single AA battery.
Last but not least, this mouse has excellent click latency and consistent sensor performance. Its major downside is its weight (101 g), making it harder to make snappy, responsive mouse movements for faster-paced games.

Fantech Aria XD7 - $78

At a mid-range price point, I recommend the Fantech Aria XD7. Its symmetrical, egg-like shape provides a comfortable fit for most hand sizes and grip type preferences. Despite its more affordable price tag, it's only a bit heavier than my top pick, the Razer Viper V2 Pro. It has PixArt's flagship sensor, the PAW 3395, which is closely related to the sensor in the Razer and offers superior performance across the board. It's pictured in its lightest configuration with a modular back plate with small cutouts to save weight. That said, it also comes with a solid back plate option that's only slightly heavier if you prefer the look and feel of a solid plastic body.
If this mouse has a weakness, the battery life sits at a maximum of around 30 hours between charges. While this won't present any problems if you get into a regular recharging schedule, it may be annoying if your usage is more variable.

Razer Basilisk V3 - $49.99

The Razer Basilisk V3 is the best mouse for gaming at a lower mid-range price point. This mouse is similar to the Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED in many ways. The biggest difference is that this is a wired-only model. Otherwise, they share nearly identical ergonomic shapes, an impressive array of customizable controls, and outstanding sensor performance and click latency. The scroll wheel also has left and right tilt inputs and can switch between regular notched mode and a much faster free-scrolling mode.
Because it doesn't need to hold a rechargeable battery, it's significantly lighter than the G502 LIGHTSPEED. This is a notable advantage, making it easier to move quickly and accurately, which is handy for playing faster-paced games.

Build quality Performance Battery
I love laptops that look sleek like the Victus. I hate the look of gaming laptops like tuff which look too gimicky. Something thin and classy would be preferred.
I'm coming from a desktop with a 24" screen so nothing below 15.6.
Most AAA games, should be able to run new releases for atleast 4 years.
Most games at medium or high setting with atleast 75 FPS
n/a
I am buying a laptop because I am unable to move my desktop from home to my city of education. I need a laptop that allows me to game comfortably on the most recent AAA games and new releases for at least the next 3-4 years. A good screen is important to me. I don't like the bulky appearance of gaming laptops, which look too tacky in my opinion. I prefer something sleek that I can carry around without looking bad. I will be using an external mouse and keyboard, so the built-in peripherals are not a concern. A fingerprint sensor would be nice but is not necessary.

I was a lightweight user for a while... My past mice were:
*Logitech G Pro X Superlight - 3 years of it not fitting my hand properly (I loved it besides the fact it made me use my wrist a lot, I found myself constantly correcting my aim using my wrist & fingers which in short gaming sessions was fine but also resulted in a lot of flick shotting, I wad bad at tracking)
*Corsair Dark Core Pro RGB SE - 1 year of use, it was heavy, it's very comfortable in the hand, I didn't find myself using the DPI buttons in games & the mouse wheel messed up... It had a double clicking issue for awhile, fixed that by slamming it around until it stopped... Lmao that mouse is a joke, build quality sucks
*Cooler Master MM711 - 1 year, I did great with this mouse until I decided to step away from wired mice, now I struggle to use a wire again... Also noticed latency and DPI inconsistency in this one after switching to better mice.
*Corsair M65 Wired (Idk which one, they're pretty much the same) - 3 months, again realized I can't do wires anymore, it just feels heavy too, didn't like the shape as much as I was hoping, it's close to the shape I want but not 100% there.

2024.05.19 05:26 thiago_hmx G Hub causing mouse lag with G502 Hero KDA in some games.

Since the past 3 months i have noticed some weirdness happening when i was playing Overwatch 2, my aim randomly stops responding for a brief second and suddenly all movements that i did when it freezed are put into the game, causing the aim go crazy and i cant control anymore, also, when this happen, the RGB keeps stuck in one color.
Until last week this problem was very rare, and most of the time only occurs for 1 time per day at maximum, some days doesn't happen at all, but from last week to today it became much more commom, happening many times in just one match, becoming unplayable, at first, i think maybe was my graphics driver, since i updated the driver last week, i tried to reverse the driver, unnistall the current driver with DDU, install the previous one, but the problem persists, then, i tried change some game configurations, disable Radeon Anti Lag, cap my FPS to 144, turn off HDR, change game quality to low, nothing seems to fix the issue, then i tried change the mouse USB port to a chipset powered USB, nothing, still lags, then i was fed up, i was convinced that the problem is my Windows instalation, since i use my PC to work too (i have a lot of programming softwares, VMs, a lot of software) i think: "maybe is just my Windows doing weird things due to excess of installed crap".
Then i decided to format my SSD and do a clean Windows install, and after everything installed and configured, for my surprise, the lag is back, but worse this time, it lags every 10 seconds, is completely unplayable, and after almost give up and disassemble the entire PC to diagnose every component separately, i thinked: "everything on the game keep running fine when it lags, sound, allies, enemies, the network status stays normal, so it must be something related to mouse, maybe some firmware problem", then i started digging into G Hub and the i decided to apply my profile to the mouse internal memory and turn off G hub control over the mouse, and then, EVERYTHING WORKED PERFECTLY, no more lags, the mouse works fine for almost 2 hours without any issue, even the RGB stays perfectly fine.
So, the problem is, in fact, the DAMN G HUB, and thinking about it, it makes sense, since Microsoft announced the Dinamic Lightning Control in Windows and Logitech released the update to G HUB to support it, my peripherals starting acting weird sometimes. So, i hope this post can reach to someone at Logitech software team, so they can work in a permanent fix for this problem.
Also, if you having similar problems with your Logitech mouse, try copy your user profile to the internal memory and disable G Hub control over your peripherals. Maybe this will fix the problem for you too.
I love my G502 Hero, and have this problem with G Hub is a bummer, but since i discovered a temporary fix, i'll keeping using him until he dies and i'll be forced to buy a G502X, LOL.

2024.05.19 05:06 BlazonFenix Which mouse should I bring to my house?

I am a trackball user. I’ve always used Logitech. I am considering the more ergonomic mouse. I’m not sure if they are better or not. Also, is there a difference between wired and wireless (reaction time, etc)? Which of these would you buy?
