So we already know that in universe the amazing digital circus is made by the company C&A and we already guessed that Caine must be that C so the A must be Able , I theroise that Bubble is Able,for these reasons
1.Able can be taken from bubble Bubbles-ubble-uble-Able
2.the two of them are always together and we never see them separated
3.theyre interactions are usually talking about what is going on in the adventure or it’s them just standing (floating?) around togetheeating at a restaurant
4.it makes sense both creators/owners of the amazing digital circus and C&A would have self insert AI characters
5.both characters are in the opening and introducing the adventures together

And probably more, I more so think that instead of them being stuck in the game that the AI was just based on them and mabye in universe voiced by them aswell because it would make sense from the self insert npc/ai standpoint I think that there’s definitely something more going on with the company of C&N that might explain what’s happening in game We can even connect it to the theory that Pomni being part of the game development or the real worlds Canies daughter because of the amount of people trapped in the circus and not knowing how time in the circus passes it makes sense that game developers or family of the game developers would be the first ones that get trapped during a beta test before it releases to the public
In today’s theory episode the idea that Kinger was a programmer who’s job was to look for bugs hence his fascination with actual bugs (I completely agree and like that theory)
But could we make this connection with other characters like Ragatha was in HR at the company or Zooble being a character designer or Gangle making 3d models or doing merchandise design (the “ figurine thing” could not just have been a joke it could have been a clue) Cofmo being a the comedy/joke writer for scripted dialogue.
Going off the theory that Jax is an NPC then that leaves Pomni who can be connected to the game development in many different ways
Anyway I might have gotten off track with this (sorry lol) but what do you guys think or theorize about any of this

I have just a few questions that I think should be addressed.
1) why take the legacy season away if the replacement feature isn’t and probably will never be released? Wouldn’t it have been better for the community to leave it in and not strip features away from a lacking game.
2) what are the 10 of you gonna do to combat the cheating on pc? And don’t say we have anti cheat bc it doesn’t work.
3) why charge for a beta testing of port of a 2018 game when you could give free keys to a 100 people who are on console and also have a pc so you can get feedback from actual vets of the game and not first time player that will say “yeah it’s ok but could be a lot better” bc they don’t know how bad you made your game.
4) you claim that the port to pc wasn’t going to take away from console development bc it was being outsourced. How can it be that you have to shift priorities to fix what you said was being outsourced. So what is it did you lie about the outsourcing or did you lie about the pc port not taking away from console content development. Or what it both that you lied about and it was not outsourced and you did infact have all employees work on just the pc port.
5) why are the bugs reported since release not fixed yet. We still have houses in broodallen that the walls disappear when you go inside( was a bug when the map first dropped and still a bug now)
6) PC PLAYERS NOW IS YOUR TIME TO REQUEST A REFUND.
7) I will reveal my face if the devs actually give real answers to the questions that the community has asked and not the standard “it’s not ready” “we are working on it” or “we had to shift priorities”.

If you use the search bar at the top of Reddit and make sure it’s set to lupus, it will search just the subreddit for your keywords. That way you can get the full breadth of questions and answers. This isn’t to say that you can’t ask questions in the general forum.

ANA tests

Positive ANA does not equal lupus! While more of a rule out screening (negative ANA = very unlikely to have SLE). Upwards of 15-20% of healthy individuals in the population at large will have a positive ANA. Only about 10-15% of people who have a positive ANA will later be diagnosed with SLE.

Also, if you suspect you have a rash, getting a biopsy of it done at a dermatologist’s office can be helpful as the pathologist can identify histological evidence of lupus.

The rheumatologist/PCP will take a detailed history. I highly recommend writing down as many of your symptoms as possible, especially focusing on the symptoms you have that are in the American College of Rheumatology diagnostic criteria for lupus - see link above.
Include all your symptoms, but I would make those at the top of the list. Write down how long they’ve been going on, anything that makes them better or worse, and how much they impact your life. Do they prevent you from dressing yourself, eating/cooking, bathing yourself, doing hobbies, meeting your obligations?
ANA varies from person to person and doesn’t necessarily correlate with disease activity. Anti-dsDNA is more indicative of disease activity and can be elevated prior to and during a flare. Symptoms can also come and go, and over time you may develop additional symptoms. If you scroll through the last week of posts or so, there are a few posts that will have pretty detailed answers to your questions from multiple community members so you can get a better sense of just how full on fickle lupus can be.

Where to find weather boosted areas?
Pgsharp and iPogo may experience server problems!
A lot of non-cheaters do actually gamble and use these apps during an event to try to get the most XP, candies, Stardust, and/or eggs hatched possible during the event hours. These two apps made spoofing possible on all Android devices. Since it is very easy to setup, everyone is going to use them.
With Pgsharp, it is more common with them because they were the first to make a 3rd party modified app for Android. The free users have to wait in a line before they can join the server. Paid users can skip the line and join instantly.
  • If a lot of free users are trying to use Pgsharp, the wait time can be anywhere from a minute to a several hours. You have to try again at a different timezone. You could also buy a paid key.
  • If your load screen gets stops at 50%, you must try again later.
  • It is also possible for Pgsharp's server to crash. If this happens, no one, including paid users, can play the game. Your alternative app is to use iPogo.
With iPogo, I rarely see people complain about server downtime. They are currently beta testing their app, so it means all the features are free to use. Since they are best testing, this might not work on all Android devices. You may experience bugs and crashes. If you have a problem, you must report it to iPogo Discord group.

2024.05.19 03:09 Legitimate_Roll121 My thoughts on "polarity doctrine" and the perversion and exploitation of the concepts of divine masculine/divine feminine

Hello everyone! I wanted to write and share something constructive for this space, that hopefully goes beyond snarking specific names and personalities and helps those who have been harmed in one way or another find a bit of understanding around what happened to them and why.
I've shared pieces of my story here before but the gist is: I am not from the coaching world. I'm from the general spirituality world - from a spiritual modality that has an aspect of divine feminine and divine masculine that has always interested me, but few others in the community. I learned about this whole specific mess listening to love & light confessionals, and went deep into the rabbit hole. The perversion of understanding of masculine/feminine energy dynamics was horrifying but also enlightening. I'm big on learning how NOT to be from people who give me the major ick. This is why I've done a lot of deep diving in general on cults, gurus, and manipulative spirituality in general - and there's a lot to take away if you can go in with this mindset. I'm also hella autistic and love infiltrating niche internet subgroups whose experiences are much different than mine so I can - again - learn from the experieneces of others, and gain more empathy and understanding of the vast human experience.
I was a very forward facing person for the nonprofit I volunteered for for over 4 years. There was no "guru" that I supplicated, however there was a person formally in charge who abused their power and the willingness of others to help the organization, and was known to be cruel in private, when it suited them. I didn't see this person as above me - in fact in a lot of ways they were quite pitiful and needed a lot of help/support in their role - which is what I did, willingly and for practically free. At one point, the entire org sat down and did a call in of this person, however, they were able to push everyone that they couldn't control out of the way and rewrote the story with themselves as the victim (we all know this one). The final falling out happened at the end of 2019, so luckily for them Covid gave them some time to figure out how to run their events without me (they hired a paid staff).
Anyway, I gave many many hundreds of hours to this cause, and then the person in charge was able to take advantage of me and then push me out of the community I had served very seriously for 6 years with rumors that I had been trying to steal money. This is so far beyond the truth, and everyone involved directly knows this, but no one came to dispell the rumor. So, I've been heartbroken by supposedly "spiritual" leaders of a community, that's for sure. In fact listening to Katya was part of the cult deprogramming that me and a group who had left together went through (this group also used, abused, and betrayed me but that's another story!)
So, this isn't going to be about me, I just wanted to share my background. This is about what the divine feminine and the divine masculine "REALLY" are. This may get a bit woo in here but I can't imagine anyone here is afraid of woo. In fact it's the mystery of the spiritual experience that allows these people to cause so much harm. So let me try to remove some of that mystery.
The creation is polarized, in many ways. One of those ways is masculine/feminine. The masculine force is the will, the conscious mind, and that which puts the infinity of possible experience into order. It in and of itself is quite fallible. The feminine force is the subconscious mind - all that is - and the untapped potential of this reservoir. The masculine reaches for the feminine, and if the will (masculine) is properly configured, the unmanifest creation (feminine) will give him something in return. The masculine NEEDS the feminine but the feminine doesn't really NEED the masculine, however it does desire the masculine's attention being focused it its direction (instead of random mundane wordly experiences). And the feminine wants the masculine's attention consistently, lest the feminine will not be consistent at all in its response. This attention can be forceful or gentle, but it must be consistent.
Every human has a balance of masculine/feminine energy in them, and while women are socially conditioned to tend towards feminine expression and men towards masculine, biological sex really has very very little to do with it. There are of course, positive feminine expressions and negative, and positive male expressions and negative. What these polarity goons do is mostly focus on a mix of positive/negative masculine expression for the man, 0 female expression, and then only positive feminine expression for the woman with maybe, possibly, a bit of positive masculine expression (only during working hours when you're in seperate offices, and only if you're paying the bills, ofc)
Typically, we are attracted to partners who "balance" out our spiritual energy - so the "polarization" in a relationship can be anywhere from hyper masc/hyper femme to barely masc/barely femme - and again, this is NOT a hard and fast rule and has almost NOTHING to do with sex other than a general (mostly cultural) bias. The hyper femme/hyper masc scenario can definitely be more, well, exciting and dramatic than a relationship between two people who have very little polarized charge in that way between them. But that's likely why few of these polarity gurus have any experience in longevity of relationships - they are fueling their "twin flame" relationship with manufactured drama and trauma bonding. In reality, in a relationship, you are supposed to grow together and be more willing to meet each other where you are at in the moment, instead of demanding they be a near perfect idealized form before you offer them any attention/respect.
The reason these male teachers push polarity doctrine is literally because of their own wounding of the expression of the masculine/feminine. Men (especially USian men) have been taught that expressing any aspect of their feminine selves is repulsive and weak and probably gay. So, their solution to their own inability to be vulnerable is to attack women - for being "too masculine" - aka some balanced expression of both, normal! They want their women to be 100% pure unformed childlike energy with no will of their own, just a will that can be given to the man. They want them to embody this feminine space as close to 100% of the time so that they are forced into their masculine 100% of the time. Girlies, if you are in your masculine, this makes them feel more in their feminine and - gosh that's just icky and disgusting. You don't want your man to get a boner for you when you're in the masculine - that might make him GAY! In the very least it's totally beta to be attracted to a masculine woman and basically gay anyway. No thanks!
I'm sorry to be facetious, but this is in general a lot of the subconscious and even sometimes conscious thought processes behind these hyper polarity relationships. These are not evolved, embodied people. These are people who are still very invested in the old fashioned human status quo that has served them for a long time. We had the thread a few weeks back with the Desire on Fire lady (ugh her name escapes me) talking about how her husband had to "put her in her place" for being "too masculine" and how he really just "didnt want her" when she was in her masculine, when she was literally just running her business. Masculine wounding almost ALWAYS shows up as men being jealous of women being better at them in their own field - or really successful publicly at all - and this is why women STILL have a hard time breaking into male dominated spaces. We are systemically kept out because men die inside when they feel inferior to women. They were told this wasn't supposed to happen!!!! In fact, the person who spiritually abused me was a man - I see now how he "kept" me as a pet because of my high standing in the community. But this meant I was still firmly below him in certain ways - a much more comfortable place for me to be, someone who challenged him on his "expertise".
This polarity movement is taking a true spiritual concept and distorting it just to set women back. They don't want you to have an opinion or agency - other than "me want money" and "me want sex". They want you to play on Instagram all day and recruit ladies for them to sexually assault at your joint "retreats". They want you to only feel valued if you're made up and dressed up and "desired" by men. None of this internalized self worth stuff, only external male validation is allowed. Ladies, if any of you reading this are with some sort of this type of man, please, I beg you, choose the bear. This is the type of man who leaves you as soon as your body culminates too many signs of being aged. They are entitlted to a specific cartoon image of what they think a "woman" is, and sadly this culture has made young women INCREDIBLY easy to manipulate, so finding another partner is often quite easy for older men. It's all by design.
Here's another spiritual truth that is often obscured: One of the polarities of divinity is the left hand path and the right hand path. The left hand path is the path of control, wealth, using others, egocentrism, etc. The right hand path is about acceptance, generosity, helping others, and sacrifice. The middle path is a path with little to no power - it's the path of comfort, the path most people are on.
When one walks the middle path - i.e. has not really begun to truly develop their spiritual side - they do not yet have spiritual discernment. What happens when they come across someone who has been using spiritual principles to "build their wealth/power" is that they see someone with a spiritual light - and this isn't super common on social media. When we're hungry for it, we're like a moth to the flame. That's why they always know they'll be another mark. The problem then is when we don't have discernment, we cannot tell which "hand" the light is coming from, and often it's very easy to confuse the left hand for the right and vice versa. For instance, I am giving up a large part of my day to write this purely to help others in this community - Carly or MAL or someone might stumble upon this and see it as "evil". But that's because they see the light, but to them it's against their light, so I'm the evil one. But all I'm trying to offer is freedom of mind, and they're mad because they want your bag, and this is dependent on you being confused and them keeping a crumb of clarity behind a paywall. 💰
Now, some of these girlies are walking the "left hand path" a lot better than the others. I dont know many coaches beyond those talked about here, but I would say someone like MAL has a pretty firm grasp on who she is - a scam artist, a liar, and a user. She's always making up stories and whatnot - she's a pathological liar. She will do anything to get her way. This is pretty serious when you've been behaving this way for years and years. Her image is very rigid and polished, and despite showing up unprepared and offering word salad to her paying persons, her "outer circle" (social media feed etc) is much more curated than most of the other coaches I've seen. She's at the top of the pyramid so she has a huge amount of control and influence. If she cracks someday, we'll see it, and usually people struggle to return to the top once they falter. I'm sure she's already showing some signs of paranoia, which is the first sign a high control person is starting to become unhinged.
Then there are the messier girlies, like Carly, and Karen who has recently been more thoroughly exposed here. These ladies show up very vulnerable to social media, and often are struggling with illness - as someone has said here before, Carly's early coaching gigs were about health and dealing with chronic illness, until she realized that space wasn't sexy or profitable. I'm not saying this is the root of all illness, but transient illness can be a sign of a spiritual mismatch in intentions/action - especially with these people who claim to be "healers" or adjacent to that space. You have to walk your talk, or your body begins to show your hypocrisy. There is a part of these ladies who feel they are truly "helping the planet" and get confused internally when the reaction of their "offers" isn't for people to fall down at their feet worshipping them. This is why they say stuff like "wealth is a mindset!" and other magical thinking - most of them have lived privileged lives and have never been "out" of abundance. They think their "luck" is a carefully curated vibration that they can rub off on others. And like, while I believe that being in the vibrations of someone who is more spiritually mature can help "elevate" someone - these people are playing with spiritual practices and, while seeing some results, truly have no clue what they are talking about and dealing with. People who truly understand manifestation, whether left or right hand, are not busting their ass all day on Instagram trying to recruit lukewarm clients for peanuts. Carly tries SO HARD to sell that all of her work is "easy" and she can "take a walk in the middle of the day!" and not work while she's bleeding and whatnot. But girl, you're hustling and thirsty all over Insta all day every day - this is not abundance, this is not wealth and gratitude, it's giving "big empty black hole in my soul that will never be filled except with more money" energy, babe.
Then there are the girlies like xogingy and The Content Queen whose whole brand seems to be just being a mess all over the place. This sells because it makes people think "well I'm messy maybe I can be messy and rich/successful" but the mess for these girls is much more embraced and embodied than with the prim types like Carly and Karen, who want to be pure luxe and sexy and divine feminine perfection. But the luxe and sexy types are really doing the recruiting for their sexual in-person retreats (or clothing optional zooms) because they're just mega horny all the time (which - btw - is another sign of spiritual imbalance)
And that's the thing - being horny all of the time means your energy body is JACKED. It's not a sign of a free flow of creative energy to crave sex all of the time. Of course a major aspect of this is the sexual magic - yes, there is magic in sex, and I think it's where these folks get most of their magic, because they follow left hand sexual magic practice exclusively (control BDSM). They do play rapes (and borderline real rapes and, in some cases, actual real rapes on their clients/partners), orgasm denial, humiliation, pain rituals - all stuff that truly, objectively, isn't good for the soul. And notice how it's almost always one sided - the male being in total control of the female - though, Carly's substack did have a story about how they did a "role reversal" where she raped/humiliated him and that was um, something I read. 😳 But generally it's the women's job to always be turned on and "dripping wet" and whatnot, so that when her masculine partner gets a boner she's ready for him to slide it in. And then that's always the best sex, the sex that you "surrender" to.... On the contrary, sex between "right hand" practitioners tends to leave both partners feeling quite satisfied and sated - heck, even if only one happens to orgasm! Whereas control oriented sex often has orgasm denial which intentionally leaves the person craving more.
All this is to say, no one should feel guilty for being duped, or conned, or confused, even still. Almost all of these people have weaponized spiritual concepts in some ways and are wielding them with the intention to separate you from your money. They actually do have something that works. But they will NEVER sell you the whole story. And the fact is, this experience likely did happen to you because your soul was aching for some sort of uplevel - or initiation. It's just that initiation rarely looks like getting what we want. MAL et al makes it look like initiation is giving a rich lady 5 figures, popping a bottle of champagne, and roleplaying as that rich lady to which you just gave all that money (or at least, roleplaying as her social media feed). But if you're truly in it for the soul, your experience is going to help you uncover your soul. And part of uncovering our souls at this point in time seems to be having some serious spiritual trauma. And I know some people here probably only did this as "playing around" and not serious and unfortunately, playing with spirituality can be can be dangerous in and of itself. These is not to victim blame at all. It just is the nature of the spiritual path that it may growl and bite at you to test your growth. It's not just a sexy pleasure party 24/7, unless you want to step on a LOT of people to get there.
Anyway, this is very long and I'm not sure it's going to even fit into a reddit post at this point. But I just wanted to share some of the spiritual insights I've had over the years (been on my spiritual journey for over a decade at this point). I don't know it all, but I do know that I live with a general peace of mind that I wish I could sell in a coaching package or voxer group. But I can't/won't do that. So I'll keep to my lifelong duty of making longwinded, mega autistic posts on internet forums that might help a few people orient to a less painful or confused frame of mind, free of charge.
But on that note, before I finish, I'll offer my general spiritual advice: Firstly, take a short time every day to do some sort of sitting/meditation. Learning how to quiet the mind is a skill, and it's the first skill required to learn discernment. Once we can quiet the mind, we can start to learn which thoughts are our own and which thoughts we have absorbed from others - and if you haven't begun this process yet, you may be surprised to find out that the vast majority of your thoughts are actually just society, family, teachers, social media, advertising, etc etc, repeating in your mind and taking up valuable real estate. This is the real hurdle to "manifestation" - clearing away all the false desires that get in the way of our true desires. Subsequently, learning about chakras and tuning into my energy body has also given me a good base for insight and clarity that comes from within my own body.
Secondly, just try to think of others before yourself more often than not. Don't justify manipulating people for your own benefit. Oneness means you treat others how you want to be treated - in a gentle, and nurturing way. When we harm others, especially from a spiritual place, we perpetuate harm, and therefore accept that potential harmful treatment of ourselves. Treating others sincerely with reverence and respect, and setting boundaries so that we don't allow people to treat us with disrespect, is how we generate a reality that treats us with reverence and respect by default. A lot easier said than done, but it is possible.

So we all thought that Glitchtrap was the digital consciousness of Afton, then the Mimic came along and threw everything off. Now we think that Glitchtrap is just the Mimic mimicking Afton’s behavior. However, I think that Glitchtrap could still be Afton’s consciousness hooked up to Help Wanted. Now I’m going to pull a Candy Cadet and tell you a story.
Vanessa was working for Fazbear Entertainment on their new VR game. She knew this really was just a big cover up, but she was powerless to do anything about it. She had an inexplicable interest in the history of Freddy’s. More specifically the mysterious killings and the unidentified murderer that ruined Fazbear’s brand. One day, when she was testing the game, she noticed something strange in the corner of her eye. A purple tape on the track in the introduction section. Once she collected it, she entered the main hub and saw it. The green figure of a humanoid rabbit costume was standing in the doorway. It didn’t look like Bonnie. She wanted to notify management, but once she listened to the tape, she wanted to take matters into her own hands. And besides, it’s not like management was going to do anything about it anyway. Vanessa continued to collect tapes. As she collected them, she learned what had actually happened to one of her coworkers Jeremey. Management just said that he had an accident and had to be put out of work. But it was so much worse than that. He cut off his own face with a paper cutter! She needed to find out why he would do that. But each tape she collected, the rabbit would come closer and closer. She noticed more details as it came closer. The costume looked hand sewn and very low tech. And that smile. It was so unnerving, yet somewhat comforting to Vanessa. Once she gathered 15 tapes, the woman on the other side told her to stop collecting them. But she came this far and her curiosity got the best of her. She found the last one and was surprised by the switch of mood the person on the tape had. She said that bring the tapes together was the only way to get rid of whatever this virus was. But that was not correct. Venessa unknowingly brought together all of the parts that this thing needed. She tried to manually face this virus, and it seemed to have worked. The game ran nominally, minus the weird green rabbit plush in the hub. But as the days passed, Vanessa began to hear voices in her head. She would spend more and more time in the game. Coworkers said that on occasions, she would be found talking to herself when the headset was on. She had the ability to communicate with this virus. It told her to make an in-game rabbit mask, and she obeyed. She didn’t know why, but it was like she couldn’t help but obey. She had the mask and the plush, so now she could have an actual conversation with this being. It explained that it was William Afton, and that he was trapped in this game to escape death. But that was impossible! Mr. Afton died many years ago. Fazbear’s higher ups said that he retired and lived the rest of his life in his house on a hill. But he told her his fate was much, much worse. He was so close to death, but he had a safety measure. He figured out how to copy part of his consciousness into a circuit board so that his memories, thoughts, his very essence can live on in case anything happened to his physical body. Vanessa remembered that the game scanned old circuit boards to expedite the process of making the VR game. That must have been how he appeared in the game. He also explained that he was the one that killed all of those kids back in the day. Vanessa couldn’t believe it. The co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment was the man behind all of these slaughters? At first she was horrified, but then she felt a sort of happiness. In some sort of twisted way, she found it funny that a man so bent on making children happy was the one that took the lives of so many of them. She knew in the back of her mind that it was wrong, but she couldn’t help but laugh. Over time, Vanessa, now given the new name of Vanny by Afton, continued to complete tasks for Afton, because he couldn’t do them in his predicament. She was reluctant to say the least about doing these things, but Afton’s influence was so strong that she couldn’t say no. One day, she quit being a beta tester for the VR game, and instead was hired on to be a security guard for the new Mega Pizza Plex. In this position, she would have access to areas that were of importance to Afton. More specifically, under the Pizza Plex. The entire building was built over an old Freddy’s location. The one where Afton’s body still is. Vanny was tasked with finally freeing Afton from his digital prison and creating a new body for him. While this was happening, Vanessa’s coworkers took notice of her odd behavior. From her spending a lot of time in the basement, to her incriminating search history, it was clear that she needed help. So management sent her to therapy. There, she was always so distracted by that voice in her head. She would talk and answer questions, but if the therapist ever got too close to knowing the truth, Afton made sure that they were silenced. Vanessa didn’t want to do it, she just wanted a way out. But she was in too deep. It was finally time to put Afton’s plan into action. To do this, Vanny needed some way to create a new body for Afton. She read through old files and eventually stumbled across the solution. Deep under the Pizza Plex, in the storage section, held the key. An endoskeleton that was specifically designed to mimic things. It has the ability to mold into any animatronic costume. All Vanny needed to do was activate the robot, and transfer Afton’s consciousness into the robot, which will be in Afton’s old burnt costume. But after she turned on the robot, she got a bit preoccupied with Freddy and a small child. They could hinder her plans, so she had to go and stop them. But when the kid stepped out of Vanny’s hideout, she could feel a weight come off of her shoulders and the voice’s suddenly stopped. Vanessa was unknowingly freed for Afton’s control. Without Afton’s puppet, he is stuck in VR indefinitely. However, the robot that was supposed to be Afton’s new body is now freed under the pizza plex. The program that was inside it initially is still there and still dangerous. Vanessa knowing this, goes back with the help of Gregory and Freddy to trap the Mimic in the basement. But the Mimic heard Gregory’s voice, so now it has a tool to escape. Vanessa now feels like she is finally free from this horrible nightmare.
That was my interpretation of the Glitchtrap/Mimic/Vanny story so far. Sorry it was a long read but I think it’s worth it. I’d like to know your thoughts.

behenchod mera baap merko pagal kar dega 🤣🤣🤣 he only cares about what other think of our family. He doesn't care about MY emotional health, instead he cares about what outside people think of our family 🤣🤣🤣 I just fucking suggested the idea of drop, and the first words that came out of his mouth were "log kya bolenge" 🤣🤣🤣 and it JUST CLICKED TO ME what has been happening my whole life... Rewind to my childhood- I was good in studies and had sports achievements and all that shit. My father and mother used to blow trumpets about me and everyone used to praise them for "how they raised their child" (don't get me wrong, i also got credit). But the problem was when my mother misused her power to abuse me. She used to beat me and humiliate me behind closed doors, and she never once apologized to me about this. AND when I used to tell her that I'm going to tell everyone how she beats and humiliates me, she used to say "no one will believe you. everyone knows how great of a mother I am." now fast forward to 2 years ago when I joined coaching, I noticed that my father was blowing his trumpets to his friends and our relatives that "IIT ki tayari kar raha hai" in a very confident tone. i heard him speak all this on the phone, and to guests in our house also. He always used to pressurize me to get better marks in my coaching tests and NEVER ONCE ASKED HOW I AM DOING- he never asked "how are you beta", or "are you facing any problems?" or "how can i help you".
Now about my January mains result- I got a low percentile and wasn't getting any government colleges. My father literally shamed me and spoke to me so rudely every time. My mother also started treating me with less respect, and she influenced MY LITTLE BROTHER ALSO TO DISRESPECT ME. I felt like everyone had let me down. I realized that in my home, no one respected me for who i am. Everyone respected me because of my "achievements".
From January to April, I was living in HELL. I prepared for my April mains and got a decent percentile. i can get good govt college in my state. After my mains result came, my family members changed their behavior. They spoke to me with decency, they haven't shamed me until now, since my mains result. They talk so sweetly to me now.
They have told everyone in my society about my mains result and now I get "looks" when i roam around in my society. I absolutely hate it. I am in literal disbelief that my family could go SO LOW FOR THEIR "REPUTATION".
After all I've been through, i've realized that my family doesn't respect me for who I am. I am just a "trophy" for them to show others. I am a liability and an investment to my father.
This feeling is crushing me right now and I don't know how to move forward. I feel weak and sad. Was i never enough? What did i do to deserve all this?

2024.05.18 16:01 Majestic-Gear-6724 My Experience as a Remarkable Power User after Nearly 4 Years

Edit: This is long. Feel free to skim. I'll admit that I dictated it because I had been thinking about it for awhile but didn't really have the time to actually type this all out. Not offended if you skim and scan!
I've been wanting to write this post for a while. I want to talk about my experience with the Remarkable 2 at about the four-year mark. I got my Remarkable 2 in the summer of 2020 just as I was starting my PhD. I first bought the Remarkable 2 along with a Kobo device to compare the two. What I noticed immediately—and what my wife noticed immediately when I had her test the devices—was how superior the writing experience felt on the Remarkable 2.
I've purchased other e-ink tablets since then, including a couple Onyx Boox devices (Max Lumi 2 and more recently Tab Mini C), and invariably, despite their seemingly superior hardware and more advanced software, they've fallen short in one way or another to the Remarkable. Even though I've gone through different phases with this device—using it as a daily planner, using the PDF calendars, using it as a journal, and now with Typefolio, using it as a light word processor—I continue to use it every single day because I just love using it. Its longevity is incredible in our modern update culture where every device seems to just be a stop gap before the next one, the "one you've been waiting for."
Don't get me wrong, I've even had some major hiccups with the device. When I first got it, something happened when I first tried to upload my files to their cloud. I think that was the very early days for their cloud storage, and they really didn't get it right at first. I lost some very important research material I needed for work, and I couldn't get them back, so of course I complained to Remarkable. Their customer service wasn't great, and eventually one of the representatives just kind of said, "We're sorry, we're working on improving this." Sure enough, not long after that, later that summer or early fall, they started rolling out some major improvements to the way that sync worked, and I honestly have not had a single problem since. I'm glad I hung on.
Even though I had a frustrating experience, I could tell even then that the development team was pretty committed to iterative but important updates. This is something I really want to stress that I think maybe isn't well represented on this subreddit. It's my personal belief as a fairly long-term power user who uses different E-Ink devices that the Remarkable updates, while iterative, always seem to add something to the experience of using the device in very meaningful ways, at least for me. This is very clear when you compare it to something like a Boox tablet, which, as many people have remarked, is a kind of jack of all trades, master of none.
For instance, Boox's notepad offers so many more features than Remarkable's writing experience (running Boox os 3.5, which, funny enough I struggled to look up on my Tab Mini C because a bug kept switching back to the most recent app until eventually I had to force quit all apps, lol). Just in terms of the sheer amount of features on paper, Boox is so obviously the more "fully featured" device. Yet, for various reasons, including Boox's notorious complexity, I never find myself consistently using any of my Boox devices for writing. I would never keep a daily journal on my Boox, for instance, not only because of the software, of course, but also because at least for me the writing feel is far inferior, although I am experimenting right now with keeping a kind of digital bullet journal on my Boox because of the way you can link notes on Boox devices (Note, you can also do this on SuperNote). Too early to tell if I'll keep it up, but it's not likely.
The Remarkable is often compared to Apple devices, and I think it's pretty clear that's what they're going for in terms of build quality, user experience, simplicity, and the iterative nature of the device (software, but also hardware like the Typefolio). I really think it's an apt comparison for the most part. When I first got this device, it didn't support the snap-in-place highlighting feature, for instance, but when that feature came it was very helpful for my work (which includes reading a lot of pdfs), and I used the device more as a result. Other examples include new gestures like pinch to zoom (March 2021), cloud integrations, tags (June 2022), and of course, 3.0, which brought type support.
But even more seemingly "minor" features like tags are something I use every day, and I find tags in particular extremely helpful for organizing my thoughts after I've done some writing. I'm the kind of user who usually just starts with quick notes and moves those pages around into different notebooks as needed at a later time, and I use tags like "journal" or "to process" to help me remember when I need to do with those pages later. Then, of course, there was the addition of typing and eventually the Typefolio itself, which I own as well. A lot of users here on this subreddit complain about the Typefolio. That's obviously valid. For people who just want a very simple writing experience, it's clear that the Remarkable has drifted away from that.
I honestly don't believe, however, despite many people's claims, that merely being a slightly upgraded analog writing experience was ever Remarkable's actual goal. For one thing, it's not exactly a mystery that they are not earning a lot of revenue from the sale of the Remarkable 2 at this point, which is how many years old? So, they've had to find other ways to increase revenue and open up new revenue streams, such as the highly controversial subscription service that a lot of people hated (and still complain about), and the Typefolio and all the various features that have come along with that. In my opinion, Remarkable has awkwardly tried to straddle both individual users and enterprise users, and it's very clear that everything with the Typefolio is really aimed at enterprise users, which takes away development resources from the writing features many individual users want to see.
But for me, as a writer, someone who does writing daily for work, the Typefolio and the typing experience have been incredible. I use it all the time. I really believe that the features added along with the Typefolio add so much to the device. I certainly did not buy the device with expectation that it would ever become a simple word processor, so the Typefolio and all the stuff around it have actually added incredible value (even though, yes, it's an expensive keyboard). Now I'm more inclined to bring my Remarkable with the Typefolio than my laptop if I'm doing simple drafting, and it really helps me focus on writing.
In terms of software, what I really want to stress as a longtime user is just how superior the Remarkable is, at least compared to Onyx Boox (and, from what I've read, SuperNote) when it comes to accessing your files on other devices. At least as a Mac user, the seamless cloud syncing and accessibility of my files on my laptop or phone is by far the best experience I've ever had with any of these E Ink devices. The competition here is really laughable. Kindle Scribe, from what I've read, has very little helpful support for organizing files and accessing them on your computer or other devices. Remarkable has really nailed this experience and it's been very iterative.
When I started using this device, the desktop app was very little more than just a way to basically mirror and download files from your device, but now, of course, you can edit files via typing and have them instantly sync (and reliably!). You can tag pages, for instance, and now with a new feature I really love, you can use the lasso tool to directly convert your handwriting to text on your desktop—another good example of an excellent and not technically challenging feature that, yep, took way too long...it's exactly like Apple and Android. Now there are tons of great emulators on the Apple App Store. Cool cool. Android users have had that for like, what, 15 years? Annoying as this lag is, when those features do come, they tend to be excellent.
To me, the desktop and mobile apps are really what separates Remarkable from its competition, and I think if you care a lot about having an improved analog writing experience, it's something you shouldn't take for granted. You can't do anything like this on Onyx Boox devices—trust me. For one thing, the typing experience on those devices is awkward and clumsy, but once you do create a file, you don't have any real way of managing it or editing it on desktop. Yes, there's a web portal and a mobile app, but imo they are absolutely trash compared to Remarkable's apps. Even the tagging experience, which in some ways is superior on Boox devices, is weird and clunky and seems to add nothing on the desktop side of things.
Look, I'm certainly not dismissing other power users' complaints. Don't take this the wrong way. But I do want to say that sometimes I feel almost as if we take some of these features for granted. I don't know how many power users might also own other devices and can therefore actually compare the Remarkable to those devices, but I think that's important. You have to compare a device to its competition, and in so many ways, Remarkable excels with the fluidity and simplicity of what they offer.
People complain about the development pace of the Remarkable software, but to me, I find that each update more or less provides some kind of concrete and useful feature. It's taken over three years for the device to really get to a point where I think it's a fully featured device. For some people, that might have been a complete deal breaker and I can understand that. But for me, I've loved that the team has demonstrated real focus in their updates. This includes the most recent beta update, which people are complaining about, the beta update software 3.12. People are complaining that Remarkable is focusing too much on needless UI updates. But here too, I love this new update because it makes navigating the UI much easier, which I think is so important. It's crucial, in my opinion, to reduce the number of taps on an E Ink device and the number of menus that you have to open and close, and that's exactly what this update does. It makes it so much easier to navigate through the home screen. I love that. I think that's exactly what the team needs to be focusing on.
Again, I've not had a perfect experience with my Remarkable. Like many users, my power button broke early on, which was frustrating to no end. It is a serious design flaw in the Remarkable 2. Whenever they release a new device, they better have fixed this failure point. As a result of breaking the power button, I had to open up the device myself to pry the damn button out, and because I'm not very precise, I struggled to get the device closed up properly and the back looked weird after that, although functioned perfectly fine, so I just covered it with the Typefolio (which I always used anyway). Most recently I had to replace my original with a refurbished one because the screen finally cracked (it was from the device being under too much pressure while being stored in my backpack, and I really don't think it was from a design flaw. Basic physics). I absolutely hate that for a company whose former and founder once claimed that customers could keep their device for 10 years, they have zero real hardware support, like, cmon Magnus Wanberg, did you not realize your devices are powered by lithium ion batteries?! It sounded cool and even radical at the time, but given Remarkable's utter failure to invest in the kind of support infrastructure that would be required to support that kind of longevity, it was clearly just marketing—shame on you. Big disappointment there. And then there's also the Remarkable 2 pens. The Pro pens, or whatever they're called, suck. They're not well designed. The collar on the nib is a point of failure just like the power button on the tablet. I cannot honestly believe that Remarkable continues to sell these crappy pencils in good faith. Judging from this forum, this problem is widespread, just like the power button problem. You'd be lucky to get a month out of one of those styluses (as I did with my first one that broke in less than a month...seriously), let alone 10 years. I've gone through at least half a dozen of those things (under warranty). That's a lot of waste guys.
So, yeah, problems for sure. But also an incredible and fairly consistent experience. At the end of the day, despite the hardware issues I've had (and the rare software problem here or there), I keep coming back to this device. It's just so deeply ingrained in my workflow. When I've tried to add other devices to my workflow, like my Boox tablets, there's always just some...issue. I love what I consider the relatively narrow focus and restraint the dev teams shows in their updates. This device just works when I pick it up—no long boot sequence (like with Boox), no confusing menus, no searching for my files on a stupid web portal. I just pick it up and write.

eFootball wishlist to Konami (pesmobile)
eFootball gameplay seem to be going in a bad direction for the past months. To much AI defending/assistance/game balancing, game adding input lag, interceptions, poor passing, fouls not called for, hot potato football not rewarding any type of skillful play. The gameplay feels like its on rails, freedom is gone, players don't respond to your inputs and chances are created by either teams AI players mistakes or incredibly stupid runs. It's just not fun to play anymore. Neither online or vs AI.
eFootball could be fantastic if Konami would listen to ideas, criticism and improve. Here is my wishlist. Feedback based on me and the kids playing on PS4, PS5 and mobile. Offline and online.
  1. Reduce the heavy AI assistance / game-balancing / handholding / Auto defending / Dynamic Difficulty / momentum / whatchamacallit (scr...). I understand its for getting new players staying in the game, having a chance getting coins in the events and winning games. And perhaps make games more non-predictable "anything can happen, maybe". With the current AI handholding level its "anything will happen, constantly". So many chances are created by either teams AI players making mistakes or just making incredibly stupid runs, its like a badly scripted B-movie. The amount of goalpost hits and missed open goals is just silly currently, this goes on until the last few minutes of each match. Please reduce it, or even remove it from Co-op and other game modes where skill should be rewarded. I'd rather get smashed 15-0 and learn from a good player. Than having to play another game with: added input lag and your players turn, react with 0,5 sec delay / 1 team loses every header / 4 shots in goalpost / own goals / missed open goals from 2-3m consequently, instead you have to run the ball into goal!!! / hide n seek players with pass receiver running away from the ball positioning behind defender / every ball intercepted / misdirected passes / every pass straight to other team / passes goes through "invisible" player / player freezing or even running wrong direction vs your stick / opponent attacking with high punt or lofted pass but your defender running past the ball towards opposition goal / ball glued to opposite player in the box / every attempt clearing the ball goes short distance straight to other team, even goalie high punt / all stunning shots 3m over the goal before 85min + all the other crap that's in there. This gameplay on rails is so unrewarding. If I manage to do something skillfull the AI assistance just kills the opportunity with any means. When the AI assistance takes a break, I get an easy goal with no effort from a random through pass + tap in. Many times I can't tell if I am playing well or the game has decided I should win/lose, it kills the joy for me and it's just boring. If Konami could tone down all the weird punishments I'd be very grateful.
  2. Passing and interceptions. Currently worst ever IMO. Game just decides your pass from a player in balance is 90-180 degrees of straight to opponent. Even on Beginner AI and no matter PA1, 2 or 3😂 And the constant interceptions. No flow in the game. Please work on this Konami.
  3. Remove the artificial input-lag. (This is a controversial one, some players simply don't believe our experience it. For me it's obvious as it can be tested offline in several ways on PS5, on mobile I havent tried to confirm it) Stop punishing one side with artificial input lag which make the gameplay feel heavy, unresponsive and your players turn & react with 0,5 sec delay. This is not from server lag as it's there in AI matches and local Trial matches as well, just switch controller between team 1 & 2 and feel the difference. It might activate from beginning of game, or in 2nd half, usually when you are doing well. And vice versa it can dissapear in 2nd half. From my experience it can be reduced or removed by switching playstyle. When finding the right playstyle for that specific match, your players suddenly become responsive again, it can even happen after switching to lowest Manager profiency. I assume its part of the game balancing mechanics. For me this is one of the worst things in the current game, when it kicks in your players don't respond to inputs in time and gameplay just feels awful.
  4. Fix the player freezing. Example: after losing a header to last defender suddenly your attacker just freezes. What's going on here? Have Konami added to much AI handholding and broken the game? 😂😂😂
  5. Reward different playstyles like build up play. Currently most games seem to be high press, interception ping-pong, quick pass and no dribbles. Hot potato football. Holding the ball has become very difficult. Before the AI assistance and auto defending went berzerk, you could actually keep the ball for a second and do something creative. Without 3-5 guys surrounding your player with no options. Now the gameplay is boring with the lack of variety.
  6. Create a game mode free from AI assistance & artificial input lag. Just pure skill. It could be beta, division free or whatever just let us play without the heavy AI handholding. And maybe eFootball will be esports ready 😉. To be honest if another football game is released without momentum/game-balancing /added input-lag and with gameplay based on pure skill. I think eFootball will lose a lot of players.
  7. Add Dream team into Trial match. As Trial match is the only game mode which supports 2-4 local players on same screen using one Playstation. We have 2 kids who love the card collecting and building their team. But playing online is of no interest to them, and won't be in many years. They want to play local PvP or co-op with their own Dream team on the same screen from one Playstation. By now we are very tired of playing the same local play Trial match Argentina Vs PSG. The kids have almost stopped playing eFootball, since they cant play against each other with their own team. In addition this would be a great way to test out new players, builds and game mechanics together with a friend. Much more fun than training mode. This mode is what my family is missing most from this game. And if it would be a "pure" mode without any momentum/game-balancing things would be fantastic. Just pure skill, best player wins.
  8. Please add Dream team to Trial match local co-op Vs AI. As Trial match is the only game mode which supports 2-4 local players on same screen using one Playstation. Would be so much fun to test my Dream Team against the AI together with the kids or a friend on the couch beside you. Would love this mode if it would become available.
  9. Add local co-op (one screen, one Playstation) to Events. Would be great if me and the kids could take on the events together from one Playstation. At least add it to the AI events. Then we would actually play them and not just sim them for GP and experience.
  10. Myleague local and online co-op. Add both local co-op (one Playstation, same screen) and online co-op into Myleague please. A reason to play it and win the league together with the kids or friends 😀
  11. Make My League worth playing. 100.000GP for completing 38 matches and winning the league is very poor IMO. Add some skill trainers and raise the GP perhaps?
  12. Add all Goal Scorers, Assists and Passes made to Half Time and Full Time game stats. So we can quickly get the overview of which player cards performed well in both teams. That information would be highly appreciated.
  13. Contract renewal is way too expensive. Considering many players have paid plenty in real money to get the favourite players, and you only get to keep your player for 1 year. We are paying for this digital football Pokémon and we can't even use it as long as we would like. There should be more ways to get contract renewals, the periods should be longer, 3/6/9/12months and the price should be lower. Currently it's just irritating and another killing the fun factor.
  14. Make each playstyle worth using. And reward playing different type of formations. Instead of everyone using META 4 defenders and no wingers/LMF/RMF.
  15. Better & more expensive Point shop players. Can we please have some decent players? I'd gladly spend 50000-100000 pink points for a player if his stats are good. IMO there hasn't been an interesting player since Ferrer & Pires. Currently I don't see any use for points except contact renewal.
  16. Remove the GP cost for player reset. Having to wait for 2-3 months and then stressing for a few free weeks to retrain and test new builds doesn't make sense. GP is too valuable for me, I use it for Legacy Transfer and Contract renewal, and the few occasional GP buys for Events or hidden gems. I enjoy training players and trying out new builds, if free it would keep me logging in even when there is nothing else to do in the game.
  17. Reduce the cost for Legacy transfer. Getting your wanted skills and then transferring to your favourite player is one of the game aspects I really like. But 257,000 GP for one transfer is a lot and takes away much of the fun in Legacy transfer. You get 1 Mbappe for less than 2 Legacy transfer. I am always low on GP these days, and I think 100,000-150,000 GP would be reasonable for Legacy transfer for 1 skill.
  18. Legacy transfer of skills to POTW cards. If we could add 1-2 skills to the POTW the cards would be more interesting and I'd spend more coins spinning. We would get more varied and unpredictable squads instead of everybody using the same players. Most players know the good cards, what to expect from opponents cards and how to counter. Lets say you add some strong passing or shooting skills to a player usually weak in that aspect. The unpredicability would be awesome!
  19. Replace/delete added skills. Building players would be much more fun if I could replace a trained skill with another one using legacy transfer. Or just be able to delete an added skill. Perhaps my playstyle changes and I want Neymar to have Through passing instead of the previously added Long-range shooting.
  20. GP an option for pack spins. But it shouldn't be easy. Hard grind should be rewarded as it gives a reason to play the game. I am thinking 7,5M GP you get 75 spins in a 150 pack. That takes perhaps 6 months to grind. And perhaps the remaining 75 spins is coins only. Lower thresholds like 10 spins för 1M GP would be great but I understand its not gonna happen, as it would hurt the coin sales.
  21. Remove the 500 player cap or reduce cost of adding player slots. If you are grinding skill trainers with 0GP players and training players the 500 fills up quite easily. Or reduce the 500.000GP for an extra 50 players to maybe 100.000GP. This 500 player limit is very annoying and seems unnecessary.
  22. Add skill trainers and position trainers to each match pass. Would make the Match Pass way more interesting and I would spend coins.
  23. Make it worthwhile playing League / divisions. Currently I don't see much reason to play it. A few skill trainers and low GP reward can't motivate me spending the time. Add prices like Special unique cards, Kits, Avatars, POTW spins or something else to keep players motivated. This game needs special rewards!!
  24. Find a way to prevent players from forfeiting games, at least events and co-op. Maybe if you are down a few goals sometimes add a random bonus like score with player X to receive 1 skill trainer, 10000 GP or something. Just to motivate players completing the match. Or create a non forfeit streak, like 10, 20 or 30 games without forfeit and you get an free extra POTW spin. (Credit: Part of this idea is from eFootball Universe Youtube)
  25. 1st celebration should also be skippable. It's just time consuming in online games. Not adding any value to except maybe noobs who scored their first goal ever.
  26. An option to make Sub tactic clearly visible in Game plan if activated. I played to many games now without knowing I had sub-tactic activated 😂
  27. Matchmaking. This was good for a while after the matchmaking update, but not anymore. There must be something seriously wrong here. When playing in Division 9 to 7, we constantly get division 1-2 opponents in the events. Had top 120 and top 200 in a row even. 750M downloads and nobody else playing. Really?
  28. The daily penalty needs an upgrade. Suggestion: More fun If I could choose player from my Dream Team. And add random Epic goalies to spice it up 😉
  29. Add statistics of headers, penalties and free kicks scored on each player card. This would add value and make it more interesting building squads. Konami you have the data, use it!
  30. More variety in Events. BBVA, Turkish, Brazilian Italian, English, Japan league. Over and over and over... Cmon Konami create something different so we can rotate our squads more. Suggestion: An event where only max 4 star players are allowed? Or higher GP rewards the weaker squad you use? (Credit: idea is partly from Rockchok Youtube)
  31. More Beat the Clock type of events. Both me and the kids enjoyed this one. Create something similar for skill moves. Example: Perform 5 Double touch + 5 Marseille turn across pitch with fixed dummies or defending players. Or a sequence where you have to perform skill move x and y before scoring.
  32. Objectives with extra bonuses. Add weekly objectives or similar. Score a hat-trick, win on penalties or score 5 times using skill move. And get some type of rewards, GP, Skill trainers, Position trainers, avatars, whatever just variety and something to play for.
  33. Co-op events. So much potential but the gameplay on rails, AI assistance and the constant random AI punishments kills the fun for me. You feel almost instantly if the AI assistance is on your side or against you. Either everything goes your way and it's too easy or Epics can't make a simple pass, the input lag kicks in and your player is even dragged out of position so the other team can score. Every game feels pre-decided with almost every touch being a mistake or fumble by the team who is supposed to concede a goal. Or its 1 goal back and forth with short sequences where the conceeding team can't touch the ball. In my experience the AI assistance is at its worst in the Co-op games. Quite easy to spot as players regularly just drop the controller. And game continues to auto defend like prime AC Milan, the non-active player is forcefielded holding the ball, every ball in the box is magically sucked to defenders feet and passes and clearings going 90-180 degrees off straight to opponent. Recent example which has happened in several co-op games: Goalie makes several stupid run outs to a perfect 4 man defending line, leaving the net wide open. Changing goalie doesn't help. Same thing with 2nd goalie until opponent gets his 2 goals. Sorry but when my player, gameplay and result is controlled by AI instead of me and my teammate I lose interest.
  34. Add 2nd local player to co-op online events. Why can't 2 players join the co-op events together from one Playstation? Me and the kids would play co-op events a lot if this was possbile.
  35. Booster player forms. Wirtz card and several other are never on A-form. Whats the point of creating a booster card then? (credit: PES Pepe Youtube)

  37. Heavy first touch or fumble receiving the ball. +90 Ball control player cant receive a pass without starting to fumble or needing several seconds to gain control, then losing the ball, again and again and again. Does stats even matter when game balancing just decides anyway?
  38. Don't launch Crossplay with mobile. I suspect the recent braindead heavy assisted gameplay is needed for upcoming crossplay console & mobile update. This might be what we are getting. Gameplay on rails, autodefend, no skill, unrewarding, boring. I hope I am wrong and the previous fun gameplay on console is not gone forever 😢.
  39. Master League? Promised some years ago. I guess it does not generate enough coin sales?
  40. Edit mode. Create a custom crest and kits for our dream team.
  41. AI games are boring and inconsistent. Even on easier difficulties the dynamic game balancing makes you miss so many chances in 1st half, open goals whatever. Then in 2nd its just walk the ball into box and quick shot goal. But if you decide to pass the ball in the box then it's magnet to defender, why not reward passing in the box? The inconsistency in the AI is just bad. And the coding seems lazy. I watch our 11 year old play and do all the right things, but the game just kills all her self-created chances. On harder difficulties even if I read the play and position perfectly to intercept a pass, the pass goes straight through my defender. And adding to that the constant interceptions and not being able to hold ball more than 0.3sec. To my understanding the AI was better before without having to bypass game mechanics (cheat), instead it was actually playing smarter. For me playing the AI is either too easy once the early game "Thou shall not score" wears off or just boring on higher difficulties. How hard is it to develop AI gameplay which is both fun, rewarding and teaching how to play better?
  42. Player speed is broken. The slowest defender will catch up in 2-3 seconds with any attacker running with the ball. No matter stats of players. You make a great pass but this broken game mechanic ruins the opportunity. This is both unrealistic and highly unrewarding.
  43. Player switching. Another game mechanic which seems broken and with hidden punishments added. I have mostly been using semi-assist and player oriented switching, R stick to switch. Recently switched to ball-oriented. And in my experience. When the game is against you, it constantly punishes you with bad player switching and worst default player selection. Many times the game refuses to switch to player in front of ball when I am trying to defend. Instead I am flicking through the guys behind the attacking player, while I am trying to get control of my defender. When I have free kick against me, default player is always the worst possible option eg. my CF standing 10m behind the free kick taker. Why? I enjoy a challenge but having to fight with my controller is not one of them.
  44. Sort player list by team name. Would help when choosing team for events. And a nice feature when browsing all my players.
  45. Position trainers. This feature was a nice addition. But can be improved and made more interesting. (A) Remove the possibility of getting duplicates on full position slots. It's just stupid and annoying. (B) Add random playstyle rewards on the new position. So an AMF Hole Player could also be SS Deep Lying Forward after Position training. (Credit: efNuts YouTube)

Some of these are cosmetics and should be quite easy to implement, whereas others like new type of events takes more effort. Dream team in Trial mode and adding already existing local Co-op to more events/game modes shouldn't be that difficult. Gameplay affecting changes are likely hard and need to be tested so it doesn't affect game in a negative way.
I guess Konami calculates profits are better by pushing all players to online play. But at the same time they are neglecting the player group which prefers offline, and are willing to buy coins to get their favourite players cards. Hopefully Konami will reconsider, add a proper Master League and more offline modes with co-op and PvP.
All in all it should result in a more enjoyable experience for both ballers, casuals, squad-builders, card-collectors and those who just want offline couch co-op or PvP with their Dream team. More people having fun and spending time in the game usually results in praise, recommendations and growing user count = more coins spent. Konami keeps earning and customer base is happy. Everyone wins.

2024.05.18 12:54 layne3d Feeling terrible for over 3 years, multitude of doctors don't know what it can be.

I will start by saying that Englis is not my native language, so i apologize if there are some mistakes.
I got covid in 2020, and had a strong brain fog for a few days. The thing is - it never wore off and is haunting to this day. For the first year or so it was quite constant, now it gets worse in a few months waves.
The symptoms are: - Bad memory - my memory was not great from the grt go, but now i feel like 90 year old man, it affects short term, as well as long term memory. It messes up my life, i forget simple words, names of people i work with daily etc. - Lack of focus - i often do things automatically, which ends in for example, putting cat bowl in the fridge, and can of food on the floor. Putting other things in weird places. - This is hard to explain but i have a feeling of pressure in my head, something similar to when you are upside down. When it gets worse in turna into a hedache. - tinnitus that comes and goes hundreds times a day - it gets stronger gradually , then becomes a squeek and disappears. Just to reappear few minutes later. - I am constantly tired, and when the symptoms are stronger i get the feeling that i am slightly disconnected, like being drunk or high. - I have a sinusitis that gets stronger or weaker but is there all the time. When it gets worse i can hear sinuses "cracking" when bend down, or lay down.
I personally think that it all comes from sinuses, but have no proof and honestly i dont know if they can affect brain that much. I have been to many doctors, and honestly nothing they prescribed helped that much: -Laryngologysts - had multiple tomographies of sinuses, all say that it is ok and do not qualify for any procedure, got on stereoid sprays which sometimes helped a little, but it could be also coincidence. - neurologist - had a weird scan with alpha beta waves - nothing out of ordinary. Had the Brain MRI with and without contrast and with angio - nothing out of ordinary. Got some medication for "widening the blood vessels in brain" that dod nothing - heart - tested with ekg, eeg all ok - blood work fine - for now with my newest laryngologist i got two months of stereoid spray, and felt better , but started feeling worse again, before i finished it. I had a new sinuses ct scan and waiting for results. I am supposed to take them to allergologist, and get tested for allergies - but i am sceptical if these can be a symptom of allergy ?
One doctor suggested psychological cognitive tests for my memory and focus, but i dont see how it could tourn into any treatment if there are obvious physical symptoms ?
I am desperate for help hence i am writing this. Have no idea what to do next.

TL;DR
I am using a single JSON object field to store data that I would normally store in 4 different tables in a traditional relational database. Will I regret this decision in the long run?
I am using Supabase as the backend for my app. I am still in the MVP phase, but I decided to publish the app in open testing on Google Play and am in the process of gathering beta testers. In the prototyping phase, to move faster, I decided to put users’ progress-related data in a single JSON-type field. This was a new type of data for me, as in the past I mainly used MySQL/SQLite as a database.
So, now I have a data structure in a single JSON object that I would normally have in 4 different tables, like:

I figured I’d launch the app like this and set up the database structure properly after and if the app got some traction and the idea got validated.
So far, it works like a charm. I also find it extremely convenient to work with. However, I was wondering if this approach could have any disadvantages that I need to watch out for?
My thinking: 1. If the data were split into multiple tables and multiple fields, I’d still need to do some joins to avoid multiple calls to the backend, so I don’t think there should be any performance advantages. 2. While this object can grow rather large, it’s essentially the same amount of data that needs to be served to the clients; it’s just stored in a single field.
The disadvantages: 1. No data type validation: The structure of the JSON object is defined by the clients, so I have to be careful to use the same interface across all different clients. This could be a bigger concern when working in a team. 2. Data analysis: Since the data is in a single field, I assume it’s more complicated to use SQL queries to create some basic reports.
I feel like I can definitely live with both disadvantages for quite some time.
My question: Do I miss any other disadvantages that would haunt me later? I feel like if I need to migrate from a JSON object to the new data structure, I’d rather do it now with a handful of users and limited functionality than later when (or if) I have significantly more users and features to support.

Some additional context about the app:
I am making a Duolingo-like educational app but for Product Managers. It aims to prepare aspiring PMs for job interviews and to help PMs learn in a structured and fun way. The core functionality is quite similar to Duolingo: users are presented with small reading materials and then different types of interactive lessons connected to the theory. The user can pass or fail a lesson and collect points based on the number of correct answers. The user can also maintain a streak by collecting points, and much more. The learning material is organized in sections, so the user completes the sections by completing the related lessons.

The users’ progress data is cached locally and synchronized with Supabase whenever the app is opened or the user finishes a lesson. The app can also be used without an account; in this case, the data won’t be synchronized. (I am not creating “anonymous users” or something magical like that.)
It’s also planned to have multiple courses in the future, but for now, until the idea is validated, I only have one “Product Management Foundations” course.

Why am I getting the "We have detected unusual activity from your account. As a result, temporarily limitations have been placed on your play." ?
  • This means have you hit the 4,800 Wild Pokemon check limit for the day or 14,000 total per the week (whichever comes first) and will be locked out of the game for a total of 24 hours. Once you have waited the 24 hours, you will be able to play again.
  • You should avoid getting this screen because it's a flag on your account that you might be a cheater and if you get it multiple times, it could lead to a strike.
  • When you want to hatch eggs and/or walk your buddy for candies without catching Pokemon, you should turn off the "shiny scanner" feature.
  • You should also limit how many times you repeat Spotlight Hour and Community Day events because Pokemon spawns are everywhere, so it's very easy to hit the check limit for one day.

2024.05.17 21:13 IT_Phoenix_Ashes After 25 years of Public Speaking pain and humiliation, I finally won.

You can look at my previous post to see my history with this struggle. TLDR: I tried everything to resolve my complete incapacitation before and during speeches and presentations and failed, so I finally tried Propranolol. This is going to be long, but given my 25 years of misery, I think this post deserves space to breathe.
From my previous post, I had a huge presentation this past weekend with enormous stakes and many different business units from my company and the customer company. I had many weeks to prepare and worry that my history of failure doing this type of thing was going to lead to another disaster, and this time I just couldn't and wouldn't accept that. I tried Propranolol a few times in the previous weeks on dry-runs and could tell it did something - I just didn't know if it would get me through the in-person. I also have mild asthma and had to switch to Atenolol which thankfully for me worked just as well and had no respiratory effects.
I have to preface by saying that I made absolute sure that I did everything in my power to give myself the most potential for success. I prepared and refined my presentation relentlessly. Struggled over whether to add humor and personality given that I could not even previously make it through a speech for 5 seconds. Practiced it 100 times - while running, working out, working, spare time to myself. I was PREPARED. I also really liked the material and the way I laid it out. I went from 20 slides to 10 and decided I was going to freehand/improvise the discussion with only basic anchor-points.
I took 1 25mg tab 3 hours before my presentation (equivalent to 20mg of Propranolol), and immediately went for a morning run/jog for 40 minutes. I got back and relaxed a little and then took a cool, and then cold shower. About an hour and 20 minutes out, I took 1 more 25mg dose - I wasn't leaving anything up to chance. I felt calm. I felt ready. I only felt slightly nervous which is extremely unusual for me in a situation like this. My heart will usually race when I have a low stakes, small virtual presentation or meeting; that's how bad I usually am. I showed up to the HQ of this company where I was speaking that I had never been to before. As I got to the reception desk, I saw several of the customers and then my teams filtering in. It's moments like this where I would go into a mini-panic attack on the inside, but I felt GOOD! I felt HAPPY! I started chatting with everyone including the customers I had never even met before. My nerves were gone and I was loving talking to everyone. We all gathered up and made it up the elevator to where we would all be spending the day and presenting. It was this huge room with a gigantic oval table in the middle - corporate boardroom style. In here were C-level execs already gathered and talking from my company and the customer. Still - no nerves. Big handshakes, big smiles, and really fun small talk and intros. I knew it was working. This boosted my confidence in ways I can't even put in words.
The big moment. We all settled in and sat down, and the lead welcomed everyone and asked to start with formal introductions around the table. This is another time where my racing heart would have me completely incapacitated where I wouldn't even be able to get through my introduction. These situations used to always be the spark that started my unrecoverable spiral. I decided to really test out my morning cocktail. I got through my intro with humor, candidness, and self-deprecation that made people smile and laugh. I could NOT BELIEVE THIS. This is truly me at my most core essence, but I've never been able to act this way before in these situations because my flight/fight would have my heart about to explode. I was leading off the whole day and the lead tapped me as he walked by to go grab 2 more people that showed up in the lobby and said aloud to everyone - You're up next! Hope you're ready! He said this in a joking manor, but my previous self would have cried and run out of the room. I sarcastically said back - 'hey, no pressure or anything - I better not ruin our whole day!' and we all had a laugh.
I started my intro to the presentation and it went AMAZING. No nerves. I was happy to present. I LOVED giving the information I had to deliver. I kept my jokes in. I kept the humor in. I improvised and had amazing conversation based off of just a few slides. I was smiling and I was truly happy - my usual self when not having to do this! My preparation paid off - but the beta blockers were the absolute truth for me. When I finished at about the 1 hour mark, we were still having conversation about the content but I needed to wrap it up because there were other presenters and we were on a tight schedule. I didn't want it to end. Is this even real? How could this little beta blocker have fixed 25 years of public speaking and presenting disasters and humiliation. I absolutely LOVED presenting and speaking to all of these people. When I finished, I got some back-smacks and a couple of winks and thumbs up from our senior execs at my company at the other end of the table. 2 of them came up to me in the break areas later on and commented on how much they liked my presentation, but also how I delivered it with calmness and humor.
I'm still floating on cloud 9. After so many years, to have finally slayed this dragon and have this monkey off my back is a feeling I cannot even describe. I feel like a different person now. Wedding toast? Sure! Big high stakes presentation? Yep! I'll take any of it on now and my plan over time is to not need the Atenolol. The only downside was that towards the end of the day, I started to get extremely tired. Unusually/unnaturally tired. If that is going to be the side-effect, so be it. I'm willing to live with that for what I was just able to do. I never thought in a million years I was going to be able to get through this, but this 25 year long chapter of misery is finally behind me! Thanks to everyone here that gave me their experience and stories. They truly helped.

Hi Craig, Ive been on a recent journey to learn more about front end devlopment in the context of mapping applications. Ive been working as a backend gis developer for 2 years now doing semiautonomous routing of robots, but have recently moved to a cloud platform team limiting my time with playing with maps. I decided the best thing to do is learn how to develop a simple webapp on my free time. As a dedicated wanderer I have been hevily inspired by your app both in my bike and work life. Im excited to see what your new routing feature will look like, I have been thinking about how to "solve" the postman problem in this context for a year now, I unfortunatly missed the beta test. Im thinking about making some app to help me visualize the diffrence between 2 filters of osm data (similar to qgis filter but allowing me to extend with multi layer queries/spatial operations).
I have a few questions for you: 1. How is your experience with Mapbox GL vs something open source like MapLibre GL.
  1. What language is your backend in. Currently using postis/ python (FastApi/maybe geopandas) as preformance isnt my main hurdle
  2. Do you recommend learning a frontend framework, doing mostly SPA so has been managable with html templating, picking up tailwind to help with css.

EVENT FAQs

  • The Event Shop and Capsules appear after you’ve healed 30-70 tiles; after that a free Bronze Capsule can be collected every 3 hours.
  • It takes 5 or 6 level 9 Life Orb of the Heavens to clear all the 5k+ land, depending on how much you heal by merging items off dead land.
  • To collect both the full set of Points Prizes and any level of Rush Rewards, you will need to earn 29,950 points.
    • Reaching this amount requires 1x Level 9 points item, 1x L8 item, 2x L7 items, and 2x L6 items (or just aim for 2x L9 points items).
  • There’s always enough material to merge by 3s when making Key items.

  • Consumable/Limited Harvestables:
    • Each 1x2 Island of Riches can be harvested 25 times; 75 total harvests are needed to complete Quest 1.3.
    • Each harvest of the big 2x2 Pirate Haven at the back of the map yields a 10% chance of spawning an extra Island of Riches.
    • Once all available Islands of Riches and the Pirate Haven are gone, there is no way to get more.
  • Strategy advice:
    • Spending money or gems is NEVER required to complete an event, nor is using an auto-clicker or other exploits.
    • The number and level of possible Point and Rush reward items is determined by your Event Portal level; working to raise that to its maximum of L16 is one of the best ways to boost your overall progress in the game.

    • A recently shared strategy using the Hills chain here can greatly increase Life Flower production, but it usually takes a few gems (maximum of 80, but less if you get some in capsules)

EVENT TROUBLESHOOTING

If the event is not showing up correctly or if glitches are affecting your play:
  1. Check that you meet the version and dragon power requirements.
  2. Try hard-closing and then relaunching your game.
  3. Try rebooting your device (ie, turn it completely off, then back on and allow it to fully boot up before relaunching the game). If you are on wifi and have access to the router, try rebooting that, too.
  4. Try switching to a completely different internet source.
  5. Try clearing your game’s cache (google for instructions for your specific phone type).
  6. If you’re suddenly experiencing multiple issues like lagging or error messages (or if the event vanishes completely), close the game and try again after 2-3 hours. Events are internet-based, and sometimes issues with the servers can cause temporary problems — all we can do for that is to wait it out.
  7. If none of the above helps, contact Gram Games Support through the in-game link or the Support Web Portal for help figuring out what’s wrong.
  • NOTE: Cloud Save is still unreliable: according to the developer, it is not safe to be used and should be left turned off.
  • NOTE: Saving your Progress: Make sure to save your progress by traveling to the World Map screen (and waiting there until everything’s fully loaded) regularly, and especially before closing your game.
  • Glitch: Missing sell/delete option If your task bar is missing the option to delete dimension jars or other items, you can start with the standard troubleshooting methods; if those don’t trigger a fix, replaying a few levels or working in your camp for a while have reportedly helped.

2024.05.17 20:15 GearsTurningBurning Postmortem: How We got 2k Steam Wishlists in Our Game’s First 2 Weeks as First-Time Devs

Hey everyone. I’m an indie game dev who is working on my first game, an experimental dark-comedy/mystery/romance/horror visual novel where everything – from characters to backgrounds to cut-scenes – is animated using hand-drawn 2D art within the Ren’py engine. My team and I were able to earn 1,989 wishlists by the end of our game’s first two weeks on Steam in January 2024. I thought you might find it useful to see how we achieved this.
First, before we started marketing, we thought about our audience – players interested in the “otome isekai” genre (which focus on female protags who get transported to a fantasy other world and must survive), as well as visual novel players interested in dark comedy, romance, and murder-mysteries. We tried to find where our target players might hang out – for instance, in subreddits like otomeisekai and on tags like #villainess or #rofan across a variety of social media sites. We then started social media profiles in preparation.
Second, we created our mailing list using advice from Chris Zukowski (he gives a great free booklet on email marketing if you join his mailing list) and the Newsletter Ninja books (geared toward fiction authors but very useful how-to guide to creating/maintaining a mailing list).
We invested heavily in our mailing list to build a stable player base that wasn’t subject to the whims of social media. It took us almost a month to develop our mailing list because we spent time designing our subscription page, verifying our domain (a must-do with recent gmail spam changes), and creating a series of welcome emails to help usher new subscribers in. More information about both processes can be found in Chris’ book and Newsletter Ninja.
Then we created our first piece of marketing material – a 1-minute, no-gameplay announcement trailer made by us in Adobe Premiere Pro. The trailer took off on youtube and got 48k views. (This was greatly helped by us spreading the trailer across social media sites with the support of fellow devs).
Our call to action with the trailemarketing was our mailing list, which we incentivized people to join by offering an exclusive opportunity to beta-test our game’s 3 hour demo (and thus get to see the game early before our public builds were available). Almost 1k people signing up that first week.
We continued marketing using a video-based strategy where we showed off our game’s animations while showcasing our quirky characters and murder-mystery plot. We posted on various social media sites - primarily Youtube, Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram. Our mailing list was always our call for action in this early stage.
We continued investing heavily on our mailing list. Every month, we sent out a newsletter showcasing our game’s development as we transformed our alpha demo (which we had tested in early 2023) to our beta demo (which released in January 2024). We offered exclusive character cards every month, as well as early glimpses of videos. We also got early feedback on our marketing from our amazing subscribers.
In November 2023, we posted our Itch.io game page after reviewing it with friends and fellow devs. We lucked out by having Google pick it up and show it to people interested in visual novels and/or otome isekai stories. That sent a huge wave of people to our mailing list in order to test our beta demo.
Our game’s Steam page went up in mid-January with the final trailer and with a lot of design/tag advice from Chris Zukowski’s Steam page video guide. We made the best gifs we could to showcase the animations of our game and it paid off in making a distinct and attractive page.
We held a huge party for our Steam page release, creating a 3-day countdown on social media and asking our dev friends to spread the word. We also put out a special announcement on our Steam page release on our mailing list. All that effort paid off with 623 wishlists on the first day. We ended up with 1,989 wishlists by the end of our first two weeks. I assume the Steam algo saw the outside attention we were getting and kicked in yet more traffic our way.
So here is what I learned from this early bout of marketing as a first-time dev with a first game.
