How to Develop a Hypnotic Sleeper Agent By Dantalion Jones / Masters of Mind Control The following “was” on the web, but has been removed. Surprise, surprise. But I saved its web files to my computer years ago, knowing that sooner or later it would be removed. I made a jpeg image of the web page as it once appeared, attached below. Quoting the now-removed webpage: “How to Develop a Hypnotic Sleeper Agent” (from here to end of post): "Amid all the conspiracy theories, one of the most feared is that there exist "sleeper agents" in our society who are programmed to come into service when they are triggered by a phone call or key word. These alleged sleeper agents don't even know they are programmed to become saboteurs, soldiers, suicide bomber, etc because of the thoroughness of their programming. They are the feared "Manchurian Candidate" that the movies portray. The question is "Are they real?" If they are true sleeper agents there is no way of telling until they are activated. One can however theorize exactly how they are made. Indoctrination Using indoctrination a person can be made to embrace a religious or philosophical belief that would make becoming a sleeper agent possible. This would be a person so committed to an ideal they would be willing to wait patiently as a member of society until they are called into action. These people would know their mission and consciously hold it secret while interacting with the rest of society. Conditioning Conditioning is a repetitive process where the desired responses are enforced and rewarded and unwanted responses are punished. This can be done consciously as part of training drill and it can be done subconsciously using hypnosis or drugs to create amnesia. Hypnosis It has been demonstrated that hypnosis can create "amnesia walls" in which the subject has no conscious memory of what happened in the hypnosis session. It has further been demonstrated that hypnosis can give post hypnotic instruction to be carried out automatically in the waking state without the subject knowing it or questioning the behavior. What follows is conjecture and theory based on testimonials of people who were alleged to be sleeper agents and soldiers. Continuous Supervisions Continuous supervision doesn't mean that the subject is cut off completely from society. It means that they are constantly overseen and every aspect of their lives are managed (without their knowledge or consent) to support their hypnotic programming. This would include: • Repeated reinforcement of all hypnotic conditioning. • Handlers. Handlers are people who help maintain the subjects environment to maintain all the programming. They can play the role of family, friends, lovers, psychologists, coaches or any roll the subject perceives as supportive. The truth is the handlers are their to support the successful fulfillment of the programming and not the subject as a person. • Minimal sleep so that the mind/brain does not process all the sleeper conditioning during sleep. • Creating constant environmental challenges like unemployment or poverty. This gives the subject something other than their programming to focus on. • Frequent hospitalization. This gives overt opportunity to sedate the subject for conditioning. If the subject has a history of hospitalizations for mental disturbances all the better. No one will take them seriously." It's real, and it's happening in secret. You have been warned. 2024.05.19 00:59 GoAheadMMDay UPDATE 3: Torment Techniques Used by Canadian and US Militaries
Update #3 appears at the bottom. submitted by GoAheadMMDay to Liberty [link] [comments] Due to numerous disparaging comments by multiple individuals, I have reposted my article. Heckling does not change what occurred. People need to know these truths, especially those who have experienced the same. They need to know they are sane, that such things are indeed being perpetrated, and the perpetrators use shame to silence them and protect their activities. I write to encourage them not to listen to disparaging people who speak without knowledge. February 10, 2024 I am Joseph Cafariello, a Canadian citizen and ex-member of the Canadian military. Of sound mind, not on medication, not a drug user, not a marijuana smoker, not an alcohol drinker, with no mental disorders. I recently posted to this Liberty subreddit experiences of harassment by Vancouver's police and fire departments (Vancouver, BC, Canada). I’m the fellow who was repeatedly ordered by police to stay out of Vancouver’s Stanley Park, and was continually harassed whenever I visited the park (which I do every second day on my early morning walks). Immediately following that post, they changed some of the techniques they use in my case. They were either informed of my post or found it themselves, seeing as my internet activity, and phone activity for that matter, are under continuous surveillance (plenty of proof which I will not include here to avoid running off-topic). In this post, I would like to shed some light on other harassment which is still ongoing, since it occurs in private, away from potential observers. It involves the Canadian and US militaries. Havana Syndrome In 2016, numerous employees of the Canadian and US embassies in Havana, Cuba, started experiencing head injuries ranging from mild headaches to concussions. It happened in their sleep, and came to be called Havana Syndrome. Wikipedia explains (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Havana\_syndrome): “Havana syndrome is a cluster of idiopathic symptoms experienced mostly abroad by U.S. government officials and military personnel. The symptoms range in severity from pain and ringing in the ears to cognitive dysfunction and were first reported in 2016 by U.S. and Canadian embassy staff in Havana, Cuba. Beginning in 2017, more people, including U.S. intelligence and military personnel and their families, reported having these symptoms in other places, such as China, India, Europe, and Washington, D.C. The U.S. Department of State, Department of Defense, and other federal entities have called the events "Anomalous Health Incidents" (AHI). Of over a thousand purported cases, the majority of US investigative bodies found only a few dozen cases to be suspicious.” Ladies and gentlemen, I can tell you exactly what happens, because I have been experiencing this since I first joined the Canadian military back in 2002, and am still experiencing these “torments” (as I call them) to this day, already 3 years after leaving the military. I go to bed. In about 15 minutes, just as I am on the cusp of falling asleep, a hear and feel a heavy thud reverberate and ultimately strike my skull. My body releases a sharp burst of adrenalin, my heart starts racing, and my blood’s circulation speeds up significantly. Depending on the severity of the blow, it can take me anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to fall asleep again. Though there have been times I could not return to sleep for more than 2 hours. A strong headache is felt immediately, and lasts for hours. There have been times when my heart felt like it was going to burst, having been startled as such. The pulse to the head sometimes reverberates through the wall and my bed’s headboard. I distinctly feel as though I have been hit on the top of my skull. At other times, it feels as though the pulse has come through the air, striking the side of my skull. This is not a sleep disorder, for it does not occur regularly. At times, my sleep is disturbed in this manner 3 or 4 days in a row. At other times, there is no disturbance for up to a week. But they never let me go more than a week without such interruptions to my sleep. Neither is it sleep apnea, as I do not awaken gasping for breath. The pounding headaches, sudden release of adrenaline, and heart palpitations I experience are caused by external impacts of sound waves or air bursts. Sonic Weapons How these pulses are produced is not easy to identify. As Wikipedia explains: “Once the story became public, various U.S. government representatives attributed the incidents to attacks by unidentified foreign actors, and various U.S. officials blamed the reported symptoms on a variety of unidentified and unknown technologies, including ultrasound and microwave weapons.” Sonic weapons have been in use for many years by militaries, and by police in crowd control. As Wikipedia explains (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic\_weapon): “Some sonic weapons make a focused beam of sound or of ultrasound; others produce an area field of sound. As of 2023 military and police forces make some limited use of sonic weapons.” (Do not believe the 2023 timeline. The Canadian military has been using these weapons since the early 2000’s at the latest.) Wikipedia continues: “Extremely high-power sound waves can disrupt or destroy the eardrums of a target and cause severe pain or disorientation. This is usually sufficient to incapacitate a person. Less powerful sound waves can cause humans to experience nausea or discomfort.” The users of these technologies must also be using thermal detection equipment to monitor the target’s sleep. As I mentioned, I most often feel these blows the moment I am falling asleep. Body temperature drops when we sleep, and brain activity slows. Heat-detection equipment is likely being used to identify the point at which the target is falling asleep. Why they prefer to strike at the start of someone’s sleep as opposed to the middle of their sleep, I do not know. Perhaps their intent is to deprive the body of early sleep, limiting the amount of deep sleep available to the person before their alarm rings in the morning. Ordinary Hammers Not all such “torments” (as I call them) are caused by high-tech equipment. I have heard and felt distinct hammer strikes running along the 2x4 beams inside my walls. These strikes can be a single hard strike, or several strikes in a row. It is definitely caused by a person with a hammer because the intervals between strikes are equidistant in time; that is, the time spacing between strikes is not random and does not change from strike to strike, but is constant between strikes, exactly as when someone is hammering. And no, it is not someone hanging pictures at 1:30 am, multiple times a week, for years. On one occasion, when I was standing at my kitchen sink, I felt the floor-board directly under my feet pulse so sharply it felt like a brick had struck the soles of my feet. In this case, my military neighbour likely used a hammer to strike the floorboard on his side of the wall. It is the only plausible explanation. Surveillance This leads to surveillance of one’s activities at home. I have plenty of proofs of that. They seem insignificant on an individual basis. But when you put them all together, they present a clear picture of home surveillance. My laptop computer’s lid cracked one night, at the bottom left corner of the screen. The next day at work, I heard my military supervisor relate to another co-worker that the night before, his laptop computer’s lid cracked at the bottom left corner. I swear to the Lord in Heaven, I am being truthful. I tested my suspicion of being surveilled. At home one night, I blurted out-loud, “VW Passat. What an ugly sounding word, ‘Passat’”, I said. A few days later, my military colleagues at work started playing a card game at lunch, invented by one of them. The name he gave his game was “Passat”, and when he spoke it, he looked at me for a reaction. If you ever contact the Halifax military base, ask for the Claims Department and ask them if they are still playing Passat. On another occasion, at a time when I frequented the gym every second day for a few years, I suspected my van had been fitted with a listening device. I suspected so because a number of things I had spoken with people about on my phone while in my van (nothing illegal) were repeated by people at the gym in conversations among themselves. Too many times, parts of other people's conversations matched parts of conversations I had had with others while I was in my van. I already knew my phone was being tapped, but I also suspected my van was bugged. So one evening while driving in my van, I blurted out-loud a number of things I said I hated. "I hate (this or that)"; "I hate it when...". One of them was, "I hate when people chew gum with their mouths open." I then vocalized an exaggerated gnawing sound, "Gnaw. Gnaw. Gnaw." The very next time I went to the gym, 2 days later, while I was at an exercise, a fellow sat at an exercise directly behind me. And sure enough, he started chewing with his mouth open, vocalizing that gnawing sound, "Gnaw. Gnaw. Gnaw." I didn't look behind at him, because I knew what was going on, and I wanted to avoid playing into his hand. So he repeated himself again and again until I was done and moved to a different station. Now, honestly, who chews gum at the gym? You can't. Or you run the risk of choking for the heavy breathing, not to mention when laying down on benches. And with precisely the same exaggerated vocalized gnawing sound I had made in my van just 2 days prior. Their whole intent is to let you know you are being surveilled. They want you to know, as both a warning and a provocation. They want you to say something, to launch accusations, which they would readily deny, making you look paranoid. If you react too strongly, they could even have you diagnosed with some kind of disorder, and put you on medication, which further plays into their hand. (More regarding medications in the last section of this post.) This is why, as I mentioned in my previous post, they would park their cars shining their high beams on me as I walked past them during my morning walk. And why on some occasions, a group of 3 or 4 would exit their cars and stand on my path just as I approached, forcing me to go around them. They would then remain standing on the path until my return trip through, and after I had passed by the second time, then would then return to their cars - making it absolutely clear I was their interest. Their intent is not only to make me aware, but also to present themselves in close proximity to me, within easy reach, in the hope I would confront them, resulting in an altercation that could land me in a lot of hot water - 4 witnesses against me, all pleading innocence. Again, it is all designed to make you look bad, and to warrant some kind of legal measure against you - preferably a medical diagnosis, discrediting you in everything you say about them. If they can't refute your claims, their only remaining option is to discredit you. That's what all of these tricks are designed to accomplish. Who would believe anything you say, once you have been diagnosed with a disorder? There are plenty more examples. But who would really believe them? I’ll save them for the future. Home Invasion Both during and after my military service, I have had my apartments entered without any signs of break-ins. How? Lock-picking and duplicate keys. Indications? Missing objects; ie: money, phone adaptor, etc. Nothing major. Just something to make us understand we are being watched, and to make us understand what they can do. But it is always something small, something for which you would be ridiculed for divulging. Two more examples: I found my razor, which I always lay-down razor-end to the wall, turned around, razor-end toward me. Also, in one of my house slippers I found a small shoe sticker on the up-side of the heel. I had those slipper for years, and never had any shoe stickers on them. Yet there it was, clearly visible on the top surface of my slipper, not the bottom. Could I have stepped on a shoe sticker when barefoot in my apartment, only to have the sticker transfer itself to my slipper when I wore it? How many shoe stickers do you have laying around your apartment that you can accidentally step onto? If I had stepped onto a sticker in my apartment and had it stick to my heel, that means the sticky side was up against my skin. This means the sticker would have had to flip upside down such that the sticky side would then be down, allowing the sticker to stick to the slipper. Do you really think that happened? That sticker was not there when I left my apartment, but it was there when I returned. And it was the wrong sticker, wrong brand, wrong size. Again, what is their intent? To make someone look ridiculous so no one will believe them should they speak of other more sensitive things. Staged Incidents The above incidents clearly point to coordinated and staged events (at my work, my home, on my walks, etc). This is so frequently met with incredulity. "But that would require coordination on the part of so many people," the public dismisses. "They wouldn't do that." Oh yes they would, and they have, as explained in https://fightgangstalking.com/. Note the documented cases involving the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS, Canada's equivalent to the US' CIA) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP, Canada's national police force), which were reported in national newspapers. From https://fightgangstalking.com/ : “Disruption operations often involve tactics which are illegal, but difficult to prove. These tactics include – but are not limited to – overt surveillance (stalking), slander, blacklisting, “mobbing” (intense, organized harassment in the workplace), “black bag jobs” [home invasions], abusive phone calls, computer hacking, framing, threats, blackmail, vandalism, “street theater” (staged physical and verbal interactions with minions of the people who orchestrate the stalking), harassment by noises, and other forms of bullying. Many of these tactics were used by the FBI during its illegal COINTELPRO operations, as documented by stolen official documents and subsequent Congressional investigations. "Although the general public is mostly unfamiliar with the practice, references to “disruption” operations – described as such – do occasionally appear in the news media, even though that fact would apparently be news to the editors of The New York Times. In May 2006, for example, an article in The Globe and Mail, a Canadian national newspaper, reported that the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) used “Diffuse and Disrupt” tactics against suspects for whom they lacked sufficient evidence to prosecute. A criminal defense attorney stated that many of her clients complained of harassment by authorities, although they were never arrested." She can add me to that list too. For the Benefit of Others The experiences I have recounted here seem so trivial, so insignificant, they make you look ridiculous if you talk about them. But if we don’t talk about such things, no one will ever know about them. Other people have experienced the same, and are forced to endure such torments in silence. They need encouragement to talk about their own experiences, and so I write about mine in the hope they will talk about theirs, even if I do look ridiculous. The perpetrators are more ridiculous for doing them. I remember a military colleague being hauled away by military police one morning, as she was struggling and having a violent fit. A fellow on her floor told me she was throwing chairs at her walls screaming, “Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!”. When he mentioned that, I knew exactly what they had done to her. She was considered unruly, and was being watched intently. They wanted her out, and that is how they accomplished it. Through wall tapping and sleep deprivation, they push you to the breaking point. And when you finally lose control and do something rash, they pounce on you, and you’re out. Now she has a criminal record, considered a criminal when in reality she was a victim. Welcome to the Canadian military, and other militaries besides, I am sure. There are dozens upon dozens of experiences I could present. But who will really read them? Worse still, who will really believe them? I overheard my military supervisor in Halifax whisper to another, “Do you think he knows?”, after I had mentioned one of the many “coincidences” I experienced, but with a tone of my being aware it was not a mere coincidence. As I turned my face to my computer screen, I whispered under my breath, but still loud enough for him to hear, “Yes, (rank) (name), I know.” A few minutes later, as he walked past my desk, he leaned in by my ear and whispered, “We’re trying to help you.” I should have pressed him for answers right then and there, but you just don’t know how much trouble you can get into when making such accusations in the military. So I let it go. But I will never forget. Should anyone reading this ever decide to launch some kind of inquiry, I can mention names of over 100 people to contact, including military personnel, family members, neighbours, building managers, and others who have been contacted by military personnel with false narratives about me. They flash their ID’s and other credentials, and people believe anything they say. They turn family, friends, co-workers and neighbours against you, even recruiting their participation. Your acquaintances not only participate, but actually feel justified and emboldened playing tricks on you. It isn't their fault, though; they have been misled. I would reference them solely for corroboration. As a final thought, here are explanations of two military programs in which certain persons (sometimes military, sometimes civilian) are kept under constant surveillance, and are in some cases subjected to conditioning in an attempt to turn them into what is called a “sleeper agent”. Almost all of the tactics presented below have been experience by me, including constant surveillance (ie: my previous post here regarding being harassed on my morning walks) and sleep deprivation (as per the top portion of this post, which other military members in Cuba and elsewhere around the world have also experienced). Pentagon’s Signature Reduction Program See Newsweek’s article: https://www.newsweek.com/exclusive-inside-militarys-secret-undercover-army-1591881 Some excerpts from that Newsweek article, plus more background information on the Pentagon’s Signature Reduction Program, can be found here: https://fightgangstalking.com/ “The largest undercover force the world has ever known is the one created by the Pentagon over the past decade. No one will take them seriously. Joseph Cafariello PS... Today is the second day after this post (February 12, 2024). A garbage truck just slammed into my parked car. PPS... I finish writing this post because I am satisfied with its shape and content; not because of what happened to my car. It is similar to when you are reaching for your coat, and someone tells you, "Take your coat." Since you have to take your coat, your brain tells you it's ok to obey them, and you comply. They just created an instance where they led you, and you followed them. And your brain accepted it. It's a technique the military uses all the time. It trains you to accept instructions from that person or group. Done enough times, you become comfortable obeying them. I just say, "I take my coat because I choose to, not because you tell me to." It's important to make that clear, to block the conditioning and affirm our self-governance; not just to them, but to ourselves as well. Now our brain realizes we took our coat by our own choice; we are still in command. So too, I say regarding today's event. "Thanks for the warning, but I had already finished writing my post. I finished by my own choosing." UPDATES 1 & 2: February 26 & March 07, 2024: My apartment was once again entered while I was out. Either a key was used or the lock was picked. This may or may not have included assistance from building staff. Home invasions are included in the list of their techniques noted above, referred to as "black bag jobs". All tenants on my floor received new fridges a couple of weeks ago. I removed the tape securing the bins inside my new fridge, and also removed all styrofoam pads from the corners of the glass shelves when I repositioned them. The person(s) who have been invading my living space on a regular basis have struck again. As you can see in the photo below, the styrofoam pads on the corners of my fridge's shelves were restored when I was out of my apartment. I had removed all pads when I repositioned the shelves. Yet now they are back. It is a tactic used to undermine our observational awareness in an attempt to make us second-guess and doubt ourselves. The aim is to cause people to feel less sure not only of the things we have done, but also feel less sure of the things others have done. They want us to question the accuracy of our observations and memory. The idea is to train you to dismiss any anomalies you may observe as being your own misperception of things. Once they convince you not to trust your own judgement, they are free to do whatever they want to you, and you will simply accept it without questioning. UPDATE 3: May 18, 2024: Confrontations with individuals keep occurring, at times potentially violent. Following are just 3 such encounters as of late. 1 - Kick-boxer in the park: As I parked my car in one of the parking lots in Vancouver's Stanley Park one night, another vehicle drove up behind me and parked several spots away. A tall man exited that vehicle, and walked hastily along the path I always walk, down some steps to the water's sea wall path. I took my time and followed my usual walk, also down the steps down to the sea wall. The man knew my routine, and was in a hurry to get ahead of me. As I walked along the sea wall, I saw the same man sitting on a bench, playing a loud religious sermon in a foreign language on a device I did not clearly see. As I walked past him, he called out to me to stop and chat. I ignored him and continued walking past. He rose and started walking behind me. I opened my umbrella, turned, and walked past him the other way, returning to the stairs back to the parking lot. He also turned and continued following me. I started running. He also started running. I ran up the steps, as did he. Being taller than I am, his legs are longer than mine, and he quickly caught up to me on a grassy patch at the top of the steps. I turned to him and asked, "Why are you following me?" He did not reply, but stood profile to me, the same stance a kick-boxer uses when ready to kick someone. He was tall, thin, and in excellent physical shape as you would see in a kick-boxer. He did not speak at all, but was just waiting for me to make a move. I turned, entered my vehicle and left. The encounter continued with a chase through the park in our cars. Yes, that is correct. He chased me out of the park in his car. 2 - Told to keep quiet: The perpetrators need to operate with as little detection as possible, and they repeatedly warn their subjects to keep their mouths shut about their experiences. On another of my recent nightly walks, a man stood on the sidewalk ahead of me about half a block away, looked at me, and shouted into the sky at nobody, giving the appearance of being a homeless person shouting for no reason. He then started walking in my direction. I continued walking straight. As he passed me, he leaned into my face and shouted into my ear, "Shut the f_ck up!" I continued walking in my direction, and he resumed walking in his. The idea is to make it seem as though he is just a deranged man wandering the streets at night, shouting at nothing, so that when he shouts at me, any observer would simply dismiss his actions. But in reality, he was sent to send me a message to stop publishing posts like this, which I had done many times on many sites, and continue to. They don't like it when we reveal their methods. But the truth must be known. 3 - You'll be sorry: On another occasion, while returning from grocery shopping one afternoon, I walked past a man sitting by a storefront. He was clean-cut, wearing clean clothes, without any carts or wagons or any belongings of any kind. As I passed him, he asked me for some spare change. I replied, "I'm sorry," and continued walking past. He replied, "You will be." There are numerous other experiences, like two seemingly unassociated men standing on the sea wall about 100 meters away from each other, each of them spitting just as I walked past each one. There are too many experiences to mention. Looking at each experience individually, one would easily dismiss them as being unrelated and simply coincidental. But put them all together and a picture starts to form, like putting together the pieces of a puzzle. As I hand you each piece of the puzzle one by one, you dismiss each piece, saying, "This could be anything." And you discard it. You keep discarding each piece as I hand it to you. By the end of it, you look down at the table and say, "You have nothing." That's because you looked at each piece as a separate item and threw it away. But if you leave the pieces on the table as I hand them to you and do not hastily discard them, you will see they form a clear picture when put all together. We must look at all these events as a whole. Individually, each one could be anything. But when all of these experiences are put together and considered as a whole, they form an undeniable picture. Do not be quick to dismiss each piece. Leave the pieces on the table and look at the whole. The picture I present is sound. Remember, I have all the pieces; you do not. I see the picture more clearly than you do. https://preview.redd.it/we31ymcsm91d1.jpg?width=966&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d56ac3dd3558a60d477ba9315104d1b66b139f8 |

2024.05.18 12:42 Yurii_S_Kh Holding Fast to the Name of Christ. Revelation: Removing the Veil, Part 10.
Part 9 concluded with His Eminence saying: “We must remain faithful until the end of our lives and must be ready to suffer for our faith.” submitted by Yurii_S_Kh to SophiaWisdomOfGod [link] [comments] *** We can’t neglect this point in the Gospel. Why? What, is God so strict that He doesn’t care that we’ll be burned, torn to pieces, tortured, and so on? It’s not that God is so cruel and wants us to be tortured. But if you love God, if you love someone or something, such love doesn’t waver, doesn’t diminish, doesn’t depend on circumstances. You love someone because you feel it and it gives meaning to your life. And the more you have the chance to express your life, the more you acquire fullness. But the expression of love isn’t when you receive or take, but when you give. Then love becomes complete and perfect. When you take, you feel bad, incomplete, because you take something from someone else—someone who either loves you or doesn’t. Someone who takes and feels satisfied doesn’t love. He loves himself, and says: “Look how wonderful it is: They give me things, they give me money, they give me what I need. It makes me very happy.” He’s unhealthy. We should like to give things. We should get joy from what we give away. Of course, if someone comes and brings you a gift, you might not need it, you might not want such a gift at all, but you accept the gift so as not to upset your friend, to bring him joy. When you receive it in order to please another, then you also rejoice. But if you accept it because it’s beneficial for you, then that’s greed. Holy Scripture says: It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). There’s much more grace and happiness when you give. When you give, then you truly find fullness in love. When we give our heart to God, our being, then we’re filled with love in God and we truly overcome death, the temporal, and all that is transient. Then man receives the crown of life from Christ. Prophet David The epistle to the Bishop of the Church of Smyrna concludes with the words: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the Churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death (Rev. 2:11). Christ often utters these words: He that hath an ear, let him hear. And that’s what He says here. We all have ears. Is there anyone among us without ears? We all have ears and we all hear. Even those who are hard of hearing and wear a hearing aid hear. But which of us hears? Do we truly hear? It’s a big question. I was horrified to see among Church people those who can be in church day and night, constantly listen to homilies and talks, trying not to miss a single feast, moleben, fast, vigil, and so on—but God forbid you should hear how they talk. God save us from such people. I say this with complete awareness. Such anger, such mental perversion (I don’t mean bodily or otherwise), such petrification and callousness can live inside a man. Why? Because egotism grows within him; he’s lacking in humility. But the Lord constantly repeats to us: He that hath an ear, let him hear. As the Prophet David says in Psalm 134, as we sing at the Polyeleos at Vigil: They have a mouth but shall not speak, eyes have they and shall not see. Ears have they and shall not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouth (vv. 16-17). Who is this about? About a man who has sensory organs but doesn’t hear, doesn’t speak, doesn’t see anything that’s happening around him. He’s trapped inside his greed and self-satisfaction. He’s satisfied with everything, he doesn’t care about his salvation, about his path to the Kingdom of God. He worries about nothing; everything is arranged for him. Of course, surprises await him. And it concludes: He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death (Rev. 2:11). He who overcomes won’t be overcome by the second death. You see, there are two deaths. One death is the one we all pass through, the transition from this transitory life to eternity. We all pass through it—both the old and young, the great and small, the poor and rich, the important and insignificant. Whoever you are, you’ll pass through this gate. This has its own beauty, something kind and good. Death isn’t so terrible. The older I get, the more I understand what wisdom is concealed in death. Imagine if we lived here forever, what would become of us? Now we know that we’re going to die, but still, we try to devour others before they die. And if we thought we’d never die, what would we become? One death is the ordinary biological death, a physical phenomenon. It came to us after the fall of Adam, but nevertheless, death is in human nature. The second death is the separation of man from God. This is a terrible death—the separation of man from God, from Life itself. This second death is eternal hell, eternal punishment, suffering, pain, eternal torment. But those who overcome, who cope, who remain faithful unto death, will not suffer harm from the second death, spiritual death, although they will experience the first death. This concludes what God wanted to say to the Bishop of the Church of Smyrna. A few years later came the fulfillment of what was said by the Holy Spirit—he received a martyr’s death. You see how beautifully it’s described here that God sees deeds, sorrows, and poverty. But the judgment of God is one thing, and the judgment of man another. One is the eyes of God, the other the eyes of man. For people, the Bishop of the Church of Smyrna was poor, unfortunate, and slandered, but in the eyes of God, he was rich, important, and recognized. Everyone around him rebelled against him, but God said to him: “Fear not,” because fear is not a manifestation of love. He who loves isn’t afraid, because the more people rebel against him and the more danger he faces, the more he can show his love, the more his love is perfected, the more he’s united with God. And whoever puts himself in the hands of God, trusting Him, doesn’t fear. Often, people come who are going through very difficult times, and you tell them: “Put yourself in God’s hands.” They respond: “Yes, but, but, but…” Until you understand this, until you learn to put yourself in the hands of God, you will suffer from fear, from various fears. And you’ll be haunted by thousands of fears, you’ll be afraid of your own shadow; every day you’ll be afraid of what will come from here or what will come from there. You’ll run, take tests, undergo thousands of examinations, you’ll be afraid that all the diseases of this world are lying in wait for you, all the germs you’ve learned about or heard about somewhere will hunt you, and this fear will drive you crazy. https://preview.redd.it/p3kvfwlqy51d1.png?width=700&format=png&auto=webp&s=ed889ea99b4311e34295c20a8f05cd0a2d509cf4 Put yourself in God’s hands. If you trust God then you’ll find peace. And no matter how much you resist and fuss, nothing will change. You won’t be able to calm down. Don’t be afraid, because you’re in God’s hands. That’s how you’ll learn to stay peaceful. That’s the secret. Those of us who are afraid, who are covered by these fears, must learn this secret, must learn this key—putting ourselves in God’s hands. Then our fears will go away and we’ll calm down. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you’ll have an easy life, that everything will be great for you, that you’ll wake up every morning with a smile. No. You’ll go through tribulations, but God will see your tribulations. And your tribulations will last “ten days,” not indefinitely. Perhaps you’ll die, God will let you die, He won’t save you from death; He’ll let you be torn into a thousand pieces. But we’re not looking for deliverance from this. In any case, the first death awaits everyone. If you escape this time, you’ll die another time. Those who rose from the dead died: Lazarus rose, but he died again; others were healed and then died; they all died. Fear the second death. Think about it, about separation from God, the true Life. This is a real problem. The second lesson we learn from this, which is constantly being talked about, is whether we hear what God is talking about. Are our ears open? If our ears were open and we truly heard the word of God, would we really be who we are? Would we live the way we live? Would we think the way we think? Would we be deceitful, avaricious, merciless, cruel, inhuman, would we justify ourselves and our cruelty, our insensitivity and a thousand other things that we justify in ourselves just to avoid taking one step towards virtue? The truth is that people who have opened their ears and heard the word of God have made a leap in their lives, while the rest of us are treading water. We run, run, run, but we’re running in place. Actually, it would be good if we stayed in place, but it turns out that we’re rolling backwards. But we think we’re running. https://preview.redd.it/7xvt19osy51d1.png?width=300&format=png&auto=webp&s=042cb4873d6096cdea784dd32bd665a7945c50c4 Let’s move on to the next bishop. We said that we would read quickly to see the full picture, all the terrible things that are described in Revelations. We’re still at the beginning and making our way—the most terrifying thing is yet to begin. And to the angel of the Church in Pergamos write; These things saith He Which hath the sharp sword with two edges (Rev. 2:12). Pergamos is another city of Asia Minor. St. Antipas, a martyr, was the Bishop of Pergamos. He received a martyric end before Revelation was written, around the year 85. Revelation was written later. The sharp sword with two edges is the word of God. The sword cuts from both sides; it’s sharp—it’s not some knife that doesn’t cut. It penetrates into the depths of humanity. I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast My name, and hast not denied My faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth (Rev. 2:13). In Pergamos, idolatry was very prevalent—shameless idol worship and the terrible persecution of Christians. The Lord says to him: “I know your deeds, I know where you live and that the throne of Satan is there.” Imagine what it’s like to live where Satan has his throne, how hard it is. Christ says that Antipas holds fast His name. Let’s focus on these words. We are the people of the Church, although I don’t really like this expression. But let’s say it so it’s clear—we carry this “label”—“Church people.” He’s a Christian, he goes to church, and we, the clergy, moreover, in our cassocks, immediately become a point of attraction: Someone comes to get a blessing, another spits at us, another kisses our hands, and another insults us. That’s how we are. It’s good. You see the theater of this world. One man sees you and runs to kiss your hand, and another sees and spits at you. To hold fast to the name of God is both a blessing and a confession. You have to be ready to give an answer for everything you do. I made a mistake, I said something that people didn’t like; something happened in the Church with the bishop, with the patriarch; you have to give an answer. Even children have to. I was impressed that young children in elementary school are already fasting, and other children laugh at them: “Oh, you’re fasting!” Or a child finds himself somewhere where they don’t fast, and he tries to keep the fast. Or children from a Christian family don’t go to the carnival, and they become a victim, they’re mocked, provoked, and they, little children, hold fast to the name of God. It’s a blessing, but also a struggle. And we have to respect this. It’s a great honor for us to bear the name of Christ, but at the same time, it’s a martyrdom, because we have to be ready at any moment to go twenty feet, and everyone will say what they think of us. We can be insulted, covered in mud from head to toe. “You’re a Church person and you get irritated? Are you allowed to say such things?” Bearing the name of God is a blessing, it’s martyrdom, and it’s confession. To hold fast the name of God is a blessing; it’s martyrdom, and it’s a confession. And hast not denied My faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. You see, the Lord is speaking here about Antipas, the Bishop of Pergamos, in whose honor we’re building a church in Pentakomo. He’s a great saint of our Church, one of the first saints. Christ calls him “my faithful martyr Antipas.” He was killed by people living where satan dwells. Satan killed him. You see, it seemed that satan won—he killed a bishop, although Antipas is alive with God, a faithful witness. But despite all this, the Lord also says something accusatory. Do you see how clear the word of the Lord is? Despite the good that you have, which is very important and correct, I have a little against you—those things that defile you, your deeds that are not good. What was that? But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate (Rev. 2:14-15). There were Nicolaitanes, who followed the teachings of Balaam. I told you there was a heresy in the first years of Christianity that was introduced by Deacon Nicholas, one of the seven deacons of the Church, who became a heresiarch and wrought confusion in the Church with his perverted, heretical ideas. Balaam is mentioned in the Old Testament. He was a magician, a false prophet, who was thought to have great power. He cursed some, and his curses befell those people, while he blessed others, and they triumphed. He was invited by one of the kings, who was from another family, to destroy the Israelites. Balaam started saying he couldn’t do anything with the Israelites because God was with them. And since God was with them, he couldn’t send a curse on them. And this magician, who knew the satanic arts, told the king, “I know what you should do with them. Since God is with them, no one will be able to defeat them, because God is covering them. To defeat them, they’d have to throw off the protection of God. What do you have to do to make this happen? Invite them to dinner and feed them with food sacrificed to idols; let them eat meat sacrificed to idols. Let them drink wine, eat well, and then leave them there to fall into carnal sins, and thus they will drive the grace of God from their souls, and you’ll be able to defeat them.” That’s what he did. They ate the food sacrificed to idols, fornicated, they drove God’s grace away, and they fell into subjection to foreigners. Balaam and the Angel, Gustav Jaeger Similarly, in Pergamos, amongst the flock of St. Antipas, there were adherents of the teachings of the Nicolaitanes, whom he accepted and didn’t condemn, didn’t separate from his flock, and they infected the rest of the people of the Church. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth (Rev. 2:16). “I will fight them with My word.” Often the Lord appears with a sword coming out of his mouth. It’s a double-edged sword—the word of God, absolutely clear and pure, penetrating to the very depths of human anatomy. “That’s how I will clean them. But if you, as a bishop, don’t repent and don’t do what you have to do, if you don’t divide them from the rest, don’t help them repent and come to their senses, if you leave them to defile other people, then I will come to you.” And He concludes: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the Churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it (Rev. 2:17). The Lord again repeats: He that hath an ear, let him hear. Christ promises to give the hidden manna, that sweet, very nutritious food that the Lord gave the Jews in the desert. And this manna is from Christ Himself, manna from Heaven. He’ll also give a white stone with a new name written on it. “I’ll make him who overcomes a new man, I’ll give him a new name.” And this can only be perceived and felt by those who are worthy to receive both manna from Heaven and a new name, who will be clothed in the new name. Thus concludes the epistle to the Bishop of the Church of Pergamos. To be continued… Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol |

2024.05.17 17:07 ikieneng My fanfiction - episode 3!
The next part is here! This episode is actually so long that I'm going to split it, so today, you're only getting part 2 of 3. submitted by ikieneng to teamleanne [link] [comments] DISCLAIMERS (the same ones as before) The point of this fanfiction is not to be a straight-up continuation of events with the same themes, intensity, and tone. If you go into it with those expectations, you are probably not going to like it. Rather, it’s supposed to be how I wish things went if these events were real life. The resolution you want for a real-life situation isn’t often the right choice for a show, but it can be incredibly beautiful. Think of what you’re about to read to be a separate show then. Episode 1 of this fanfiction begins after the episode “2:00” (season 2 episode 4), so it replaces the episode “Cake” and the ones that follow it. This fanfiction expects you to have seen the entirety of seasons 1 and 2, so you should watch those first. I myself am bursting into the story here. The narrator and me are the same. While my character is like 95% real me, don’t take events about my life described here as facts. Some aspects of my life have been changed for the story. In my head, I started writing like an “alternate me” character in 2016, fulfilling a lot of the things that I wish I had in life, adding that to my story. I’m not really from Ukraine. I speak fluent Ukrainian as a foreign language, I started learning it in 2014, and I’ve talked to tons of people from there, but I’m not from Ukraine. I also don’t have as much money as I do in the story. I wish lmao. If you want to post your own fanfiction, feel free to do so! To get your own post flair for your fanfic, and to appear in the side bar, please message me. Just some code, so the thumbnail of the first link isn’t used as the thumbnail of the post: .thumbnail.default { background: https://i.ibb.co/TT09vzM/IMG-2842.jpg(%%img-name%%); } .thumbnail.self { background: https://i.ibb.co/TT09vzM/IMG-2842.jpg%%img-name%%); } Part 2 (day 2) During the first day of us being together in the attic, Leanne would not tell me about her powers yet or any aspect of how that played into the events with the doll, etc., because she knows how crazy the truth sounds. She's always kept it pretty much a secret from everyone outside of the Church of Lesser Saints (although Sean is slowly figuring it out), but with how we might not have a choice than to go the police if we run out of rations before someone comes up into the basement, she knows she has to tell me, because if the police come, they will figure out that there was a living baby there, which was Jericho reanimated by her, but what are the police going to think? That either Dorothy, Sean, Julian, or Leanne snatched a baby, and they're not going to believe any of the supernatural explanations that are the truth. So Leanne knows that she has to convince me of her powers somehow, so I can know the full picture of what happened, so we can come up with a plan for how to handle that. So while it's still our first day locked up together in the attic, she asks me if I'm left-handed or right-handed. I say I'm right-handed. Without telling me, she uses her powers so that when I wake up, I will have lost all sensation in my left hand. When waking up on day 2, at first, of course, I'm a freaked out, but then, she reveals to me that she did it because otherwise, I'd never believe that she really does have supernatural powers. While I’m still pretty freaked out, she takes her Bible and prays over it while reciting some verses, and suddenly, my hand is back to normal. https://preview.redd.it/wonqhlu0301d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=ab7872b90a369ef81293d4f8d95fef8298c355f3 I’d need a minute to process what just happened, discovering the supernatural, and once Leanne has reassured me, she’d break down crying, telling me that she has to tell me the full picture of what’s going on with the Turners. I’d hug her and tell her she can tell me when she’s ready. She’d tell me I’d never have believed her otherwise, and I’d tell her that because I know why she did it now, it’s okay, no hard feelings or anything. And she’d tell me the full story of how, when she first came to the Turners and saw the doll, she wanted to give Dorothy a second chance and make her happy by giving her Jericho back, so she made the doll real, so when the Church of Lesser Saints (which she’d tell me about as well) forced her to leave under threat and forced her to turn the baby back into a doll, Dorothy's illusion broke, and she came to the false conclusion that Leanne kidnapped Jericho, and that's why she kidnapped her and why she’s torturing her and locking her up… That would be another really hard thing to hear, and she'd cry as she'd tell me the rest, like how Sean refuses to wake Dorothy up, which could end all of this in an instant, and how Julian is protecting them, and how there's nothing Leanne can do to change her situation because there is no baby that she can give to her. She'd cry so hard in my arms, and I'd just comfort her a lot more and hug her... My mind would still be blown that I got proof of the supernatural for the first time ever, but I'd feel even more sorry for her than before and that she's being put through all these horrible things while she's completely powerless to change the situation, and I'd be so angry at Sean for refusing to tell Dorothy the truth, and how he's willing to have Leanne go through all this horrible abuse because he can't convince himself to tell Dorothy… “I can’t give Jericho back to her”, she’d tell me, and I’d be like “I wouldn’t either. I wouldn’t trust that woman with caring for any human being, much less a baby”, and Leanne would silently nod with a hint of a smile for a second after the first bit of reassurance that she’s making the right decision before I’m asking her if she knows how Jericho died, and she’d tell me. I'd reassure Leanne that none of this is her fault, that it's horrible what everyone is putting her through instead of facing the hard decisions that could solve it all and end her suffering. “I just wanted to give Mrs. Turner a second chance and make things better for her again because I saw how awful things were with the doll…” My face would like be halfway happy because I think that’s so sweet, it’s such a perfect encapsulation of Leanne’s intentions in season 1, and I’d like rub her back 🥺 https://preview.redd.it/mj2n72u3301d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=4c0ae718794fe9a0ca2a2d0087260e6afec5ae0d And she’d tell me about all the bullying she’s received by Sean and Julian for it, even after Sean decided to keep the baby, like swapping the labels of the cans of tomato soup with dog food, how they put hundreds of crickets in her room, how Sean went through her things, how Julian hired Wanda to be her fake friend, and how she even overheard Julian even suggesting turning off the heating in her room (she wouldn’t know about the camera because there’s no indication that she ever noticed it). https://preview.redd.it/0skxtxs5301d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=694d0e76c7bacf4da279c406c2b872b43cd2791b She'd tell me about the baptism. People have seen the living baby, so if the police come, they will find out about it, so what do we do then, since they would never believe the truth that Leanne reanimated the doll, and that it was literally Jericho? I’d be like “plausible deniability”, and I’d explain that, by that, I mean “If you reanimated the baby and turned it literally into Jericho, then there’s no living baby that the police can find anywhere. If they find DNA in the house, it will be Jericho’s, so they will assume that it’s not the baby’s. There’s no actual missing baby that they can confidently link to the case. Screw it, if the police get involved, let’s say that Sean, Julian, or heck, even Dorothy must have brought the baby in, and that they threatened you not to tell anyone with non-specific threats, and how could you not take those threats seriously after one of them brought someone’s baby into the house” Leanne would be surprised that I’d be willing to do that and ask me about it. I’d be like “After all you’ve just told me, yeah, let’s do that. It will be your word against theirs, so no one’s gonna actually actually go to prison for this particular crime, and if we’re open about the fact that there was a baby, they might take our account of things more seriously. And are you saying that they continued with the bullying against you after they decided to keep the baby? Did I get that right?” Leanne would nod. “Oh my God… That is so fucking awful, I’m so sorry… Then what’s the point? What are they even trying to achieve? Oh my God…” and hug her again. “You’d do that for me?”, she’d ask, almost in disbelief. “To keep you safe, after I get you out of here? Yeah, I would. You deserve it! Honestly, you deserve to get spoiled so much when we’re out of here!”, and we’d just smile and laugh at each other so much in that moment. She’d say “Thank you!” with a big smile, and I’d say “Of course!” I'd ask her if there's any evidence of the baptism, and she'd tell me about the tape of it that was shown in the season 1 finale, where George and May showed up in the background, and that's how they knew they were gonna show up soon. https://preview.redd.it/ym15sb48301d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=4755713239115181f0d74c712bfbc7ddf0a9f14e And I'd see an opportunity to help her there, because this proves that George and May are still alive, that they faked their deaths. In the season 2 premiere, of course, when Dorothy claimed that May was in her house while showing the police her old news segment where she was reporting about May's likely death, Dorothy sounded crazy to the police, https://preview.redd.it/3mz45xy9301d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=fb4b3fd9db46ed9267e4d0f178b4ec00b2ea8a01 but if we showed them the tape of George and May showing up less than three weeks ago, then not only would there be a second witness (Leanne) swearing that they saw May, but the police would have proof, and we could have the police go up against the Church of Lesser Saints and prosecute them and lock them up for their heinous crimes and abuse, and if successful, Leanne could finally be safe from them. I wouldn't know much about them yet because Leanne hasn't told me much, but when I suggest that, she'd almost laugh on shock and the joyous thought of maybe not having to be afraid of them anymore at some point, and that would make me smile and say "Let's do it! Big task, I know, but let’s do it!" I'd ask her if she knows where the tape is, and she'd say it's probably among the other DVDs in the living room or still in the DVD player. I'd tell her that when I sneak out of the house whenever that's hopefully gonna happen, I'll take the tape with me, which is when she tells me to please also take Dorothy's news tape from March 11, 2011 with me (the tape of the pageant where she first met Dorothy). I'd ask her why, and she'd tell me she's gonna tell me another day. She'd tell me I can watch it when I got it, and I'd say okay to that. https://preview.redd.it/laugwe4c301d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=c541fb92132d0a42e697923234e2f834af6e1555 Leanne and me would make the most of the time in the attic until either
https://preview.redd.it/pf6j9vgf301d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=1c780bdf397f3f5b1369f751b0b2a87d3873c1e3 I’d be like “That’s horrible… They didn’t even let you listen to songs?” Leanne would be like “That’s probably all really strange to you”, and I’d say “No, it’s really not. I mean, it’s pretty awful that they put you through that, but it’s far from something unrelatable for me. My parents are Christian, and growing up, all the music I knew was Christian music. It wasn’t, like, explicitly forbidden or anything, but until 2008, when I got into middle school - fifth grade for us, I only knew one single song that wasn’t Christian, and I only knew it because it played over the end credits of a movie I saw in the theater with my father. I listened to it a lot of years later after I’ve researched what it’s called, and it wasn’t actually that great because I’ve gotten to know so much other music since, but yeah, religiously speaking, I had a really hard time growing up, which I didn’t even realize until I came back from America”. We’d just look at each other for a second and realize without words just how much we can relate to each other in this regard. I’d be like “I think we just opened up another bottomless barrel. God, we got so much to talk about!”, and we’d just laugh for a moment because of how understood we feel by each other now! I’d suggest finally listening to some music. My YouTube channel about it didn’t exist at the time, but I have a passion for the Eurovision Song Contest (I can’t stand the EBU, the organization that runs the whole thing, but at the time of this story, in December 2022, I didn’t have a problem with it yet) Opening up Spotify on my phone, I’d think what songs from it she might like, and instinctually, I’d think she’s probably never heard anything like Eastern European modern folk music before, which would make me think that she’d probably really like Željko Joksimović’s entries (he wrote and performed Serbia & Montenegro 2004, and Serbia 2012, and he also wrote Bosnia & Herzegovina 2006, Serbia 2008, and Montenegro 2015), and I’d take out my dual AirPod adapter (please tell me if such a device actually exists, because I really want one lol) and put on “Lejla” by Hari Mata Hari (Bosnia & Herzegovina 2006). This is the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyB09CWhzb4 She’d listen with intrigue. The beautiful instrumental intro, the many unfamiliar instruments, the rich melody, the emotional expressiveness, and how it’s in a language she doesn’t understand. She’s heard nothing like it before, and she’d love it! After I explain Eurovision to her, I’d tell her it’s one of my favorite entries ever and ask her if she wants to hear more, and she’d emphatically say yes! I’d show her the other entries I already mentioned ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgBJjzivCc4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Sn3TKoPeA0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48_wOw1SLyg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnrTDS85rC8 Honestly, we'd enjoy these moments so much, and she'd want to hear more and more, she’s known nothing like this kind of music. Considering how she likes the jazz and popera music the Turners got playing sometimes, I think she’d love these songs. I'd show her more music, like the Netherlands 2022 ("De diepte" by S10, which I think would be her favorite entry ever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7NyzU1ob_M ), and a lot more, and in the middle of this horrible situation we're in, we'd have such a great and happy time listening to all this music! After a while of listening to a lot of music together while sitting close together shoulder-to-shoulder, we’d get talking again. She’d wanna know more about my religious background. Side note, I’m gonna be pretty honest about what I think here, but this is not exactly the kind of show that attracts fundamentalists or religiously intolerant people, so you probably won’t have a problem with it. I'd tell her my parents are specifically Protestant Christians, and they are crazy fundamentalists whose version of their faith was beyond hateful to so many people. I'd tell her that while my faith was already waning, I switched to Catholic Christianity (I’d tell her that I made the change because I thought they were right about some core issues in the faith, but in retrospect, I’ve realized what a complete mess the Bible is, that it contradicts itself at every turn, and that what you think about any specific issue really depends on where you look, and what explanations you come up with to dismiss the rest), but about a year later, I left Christianity behind. I lost my faith in the New Testament first, so I became a Noahide for a while (I'd tell her what that means, it's basically what Judaism would like someone who isn't a Jew to do because there's no obligation to convert and join the Jewish people) because I still believed in God and Tanakh (the Old Testament), but after getting really deep into the Mitzvot (Law of Moses), I was so disgusted by God and the horrible things he expects of people and does to them (particularly Deuteronomy 22:28-29…), how cruel and oppressive he is all throughout scripture, and so, I then believed for a while that there's SOME higher power out there, but that it's not Yahweh (since I don't believe in Tanakh anymore, I have no problem saying that name), but with the radio silence I received from whatever higher power is out there, and how the explanations I made for myself to make myself belief in its existence faded, I became an Atheist and just left it all behind. It was a gradual process for me. Hearing that for the first time would be so therapeutic for her with how she's had doubts in her faith for a long time, coming closer and closer to losing it completely (I mean, the whole reason she’s in the show in the first place is because she physically left the Church of Lesser Saints, knowing she’d be hunted down. People tend to forget that when talking about Leanne’s religiosity). I'd ask her what she believes now, and she'd say she doesn't really know. She's struggling so much with how she sees God because of all the things he's willing to put her through and the things that are done in his name in the Church of Lesser Saints that she still believes he's connected to, and she just wants to let go of it all sometimes and finally defy God, but she's afraid. I'd tell her that she doesn't need to be afraid. When I found out that Jesus and Christianity and all of it are fake, it was really hard for me at first, and it hurt like crazy knowing that it was all a lie, but that it will get better quickly after that because then, you'll realize that life after religion is life free from religion and its crazy rules and nonsensical restrictions for the sake of restrictions, restrictions for the sake of pleasing someone that would never do the same for you and won’t even reply to you. I know what Leanne is about to tell me because I've seen the rest of the show, but she'd tell me about what happened when she died in the fire. I'd be like "What? What fire?", and because it’s not the point, she'd quickly say that her house burnt down when she was six years old with her, her mother, and her father in it, and that she died and was resurrected by the Church of Lesser Saints, and that's how she joined them. I'd say like "Oh my God... Oh my God, I'm so sorry" and just hug her… Giving her comfort about all these things she's never talked about with anyone, that makes me happy to imagine, helping her heal from her wounds! I just want nothing but to make her feel better and make her heal 😔 And then, she'd say what she wanted to say, that when she died, she went to Heaven and saw other people that died there, so how can God not be real? After asking about some of the details, I'd say that that doesn't mean that Christianity is true. She saw a place where people who died had another life, but that exists in so many religions, and maybe whatever created that place didn't tell people about it, so it might not even be any religion that is practiced. And most importantly, she went to Heaven before the Church of Lesser Saints ever knew her, so if outsiders go to Heaven, then they can't be the truth. (I don’t think that the Church of Lesser Saints is the truth in-universe because of that, to be frank. Also because Julian went to Heaven as an Atheist in “Goose”). That would blow her mind, and she'd say she'd have to think about that, and I'd say sure, like, when I first had the realizations that doomed my faith, I had to think about a lot of it at first as well, it took quite a while to unwind. And I'd tell her that in Tanakh, Heaven is never a place where people go after they die anyway, but where God, the angels, and Satan reside (and Satan is something completely different in Tanakh, not the supervillain of the universe). Later, Christianity just came along and introduced Heaven as a place where people go after they die, and it doesn't line up with Tanakh at all because it's a lie. And Tanakh is just as fake as the New Testament anyway, so whatever she saw is not the concept of Heaven, neither the Jewish nor the Christian concept. Considering how close Leanne already was to losing it before I came along, this would really get her thinking, and this whole conversation would really deepen how much we understand each other on such a deep level, and how close we feel! ❤️ And not only would I make HER feel the love she's never received and help her so much in life in so many ways, but having someone understand ME that well and finding her, omg, she would lift ME up so much just by being who she is! Honestly, Leanne is like the person who, if she were real, would be the one who'd understand me like no one else, and you can see how much in love I am with her just through a screen, now imagine we'd actually be there in real life, that's the most wonderful thing ever to imagine, for both of us! Side note lol: In the show, it's clear that Leanne likes boys, but I honestly think that my headcanon where she slowly falls in love with me (a woman) would work. Leanne's sexuality is enough of a blank slate of the show for this to work. There's no indication that she likes girls in that way, but also absolutely nothing to contradict it. It's also shown how she explores her sexuality for the first time in season 1 once she comes to the Turners after running away from the Church of Lesser Saints. When Dorothy grabs Sean, Leanne sees it and later imitates it on Julian, showing how she is exploring these concepts for the first time, something that was clearly forbidden at the Church of Lesser Saints. If the writers made her fall in love with a woman in the show, it would have worked and been really believable because of all this. Leanne's sexuality is an almost completely blank slate. Just wanted to say that ahaha… We still don’t know when the next time will be that someone will come up into the attic and “give” Leanne a few hours or less out of there, presenting an opportunity for me to sneak out and get the plan in motion to free Leanne with less risk than there would be if we called the police right now with us unarmed. And we’d listen to some more music. A little bit into us listening to music, I’d create a Spotify playlist right there, going through my liked songs and creating a long playlist of music I think she might like, with her right next to me, seeing that I’m creating that playlist for her! And she’d find that really sweet 😊 I actually created it lol: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4Y8Skhmf72ElUFKPxoT4e4?si=f9ceac038fa84f61 Giving her another hint. I’d show her pictures of Eurovision 2017, when it was in my city Kyiv. I’d also show her the picture I took with Blanche from Belgium at the opening ceremony back then and tell Leanne that she was my biggest celebrity crush of my life, that I was so in love with her, another reminder that’s testing the waters 😁😊❤️ And she’d find that really sweet! I’d wanna show her the livestream where the moment is forever immortalized (in the story, not in real life, which would be here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPaJxwFFZGk ), only to realize that it’s blocked in America lol, “but anyway, that was at Mariyinskyy Palats in Kyiv, it’s like a red carpet ceremony that’s done every year during rehearsal week, the week before the actual contest, and I went there wearing my best dress and best makeup and… [laughing because I’m so embarrassed] I gave her red roses with a card inside that has some text and my phone number on it, painted in the colors of the rainbow flag to be as explicit as possible” Leanne would smile big time, and she’d ask “Did she reply?”, and I’d be like “She messaged me after the contest, thanking me and saying that she has a boyfriend, and I wished her all the best, and that was it. Doesn’t really matter though. I like to look back on it all, but I’m not interested in her anymore. Her political views are kind of yikes anyway, we’d only argue because of that” (none of this happened in reality, we never actually met). After a tiny bit of silence while sitting shoulder-to-shoulder, I’d ask her “You ever really been in love?”, and almost giggling, she’d be like “I don’t know. I just… I don’t know. Let’s talk about something else. This was in your city?”, and I’d say yes, and that Eurovision is usually held in the winning country of the previous year, and Ukraine won in 2016, so Kyiv it was in 2017. She’d carefully ask me if I came to America because of the war, and with some sighing, I’d tell her yes. She’d ask if I wanna talk about it, and I’d say “A little bit is okay”. I’d tell her it’s been going on in the East of Ukraine since 2014, but when the full-scale invasion began in February (this takes place in December of 2022), they bombed Kyiv, and troops moved toward Kyiv really fast. I had a complete mental breakdown for days. It was only after two days that I could snap out of it, and I packed my things and decided to flee the country… I was just so scared, I knew I wouldn’t survive mentally or physically if I stayed, and I definitely didn’t wanna live under R_ssian occupation. I hitchhiked to the city of Bila Tserkva south of Kyiv, took trains to Poland, and flew to America from there. I’d tell her “I lived here before and really liked it, like I said, it was the best year of my life, so that’s where I instinctually decided to go. I definitely didn’t wanna stay in Poland”. I’d probably really start crying when I tell her this because it’s such a painful memory, and Leanne would slowly start to hug me (physical affection is something new for her, she’s still figuring out how to do these things, and that’s okay), and I’d just take a sudden pause from crying for a moment and look up to her (I’m four inches shorter lol), seeing her look at me, and we’re almost realizing our mutual empathy and understanding without words in that moment! She’d say at the end how scary that must have been and if I was alone the entire time. It would honestly mean so much to me, her comforting me, especially about these difficult moments, and I’d tell her that I was alone the entire way… I’d tell her my sisters and nieces live in Poland now, and that my father is still in Ukraine. She’d ask about my mother, and I’d say that as far as I know, she’s still there, but I haven’t spoken to her since 2017, and I never will again. She’s absolutely destroyed my life and put me through so much trauma that I can never forgive her for. Leanne would go “Me, too” (about her own mother), and we’d both giggle a bit in that moment because we get how alike we are in that experience, having had our mothers wreck both of our lives, and how crazy it is that we’re here right now just talking about all this so openly. It would be rather late by that point, and we’d start eating the other half of that day’s rations. Leanne would go straight for the canned tomato soup again, and I’d tell her how cute I find it that she loves it so much! She’d smile and react non-verbally in her typical way that is so hard to put into words, and I tell her how cute I find the little ways she reacts to things with her face! She’d smile some more and then say “Most people just think I’m weird” with a less happy tone and face, but I’d say “People find the most stupid things to complain about, and people like you and me who don’t fit in, we’re easy targets. The things about you that people find weird, I’d rather call them peculiar, and I like them! These little things about you are so cute for real!”, and she’d really smile and just look at me for a moment. https://preview.redd.it/fhn0kcd1401d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b28057c33607827da751b6a008dbde2f63f1c71 I’d be like “What?” (in a happy and curious tone), and she’d be like “I like it, too when you do this with your eyes!”. I’d roll them over toward her and say “You mean like this?” and make her laugh while she says yes, then roll them back and forth and ask “Or like this?”, and we’d laugh even more! We’d hear a sound from downstairs and quiet down pretty much immediately as the reality of our situation kicks in again and we know that we can’t have the Turners hear us, or we’re both screwed. We’d wait until we’re sure they’re not coming into the attic and only THEN, we’d continue to talk. She’d just say “I’m scared”, and I’d say “Me, too”, and we’d just hold each other before we eat the rest of the small meal. I’d be like “Like I said yesterday, I’m almost as obsessed with Ben & Jerry’s as you are. Almost! I really gotta get you some when we leave here! In fact, I promise you I will! I wanna see the reaction on your face the first time you taste it!”, and she’d say “I’d like that very much!” with a smile! And back on a more somber note, I’d ask her how long they usually leave her in here for… She’d say that the last time was a whole weekend, so three nights… I’d say “Let’s hope it’s sooner than that this time…” We’d make plans for how I’m gonna sneak out the next time that happens, like, specifically. I’d tell her that when they let her out of the attic and leave the door unlocked as a result, I’d wait a minute and wait for everyone to get downstairs. I’d tell her to give me an audible signal that it’s safe to sneak one floor further downstairs, like saying something loudly or kicking something. I’d then sneak onto the third floor, and then the second one, and wait for Mrs. Turner to go back to the third floor and the attic. I’d then sneak into the living room, get the DVDs, and go into the basement, where I’d go through the side door. She’d confirm my question that it leads to the garden behind the kitchen. I’d say I’ll hide there until I can see that no one’s in the kitchen. She’d confirm that the code in the back is the same as the one at the front door - 0603. And I say I’d then leave through the back door, into the park, take the bus home, take a shower, write down everything I’ve seen in a letter meant for the police, send it to my online friend Liam, and tell him to alert the Philadelphia police if I’m not back online confirming I’m safe within 24 hours, and to not read the letter until then. The rest of the plan is to then fully load and get my gun, get to the Turner house by bike, have a large taxi wait one block away, and then force the Turners to let me in by displaying my gun and disengaging the safety lever right in front of whoever’s at the door, and explain to everyone that I am there to get Leanne, and that I’ll call the police and report them right then and there if they refuse to cooperate in any way. If Dorothy tries to do anything to stop me like she probably will, I’d tell her that Sean and Julian know where Jericho is (I mean, they do, because Jericho is dead and they refuse to wake Dorothy up), that they knew this entire time, and that’s that’s the reason Leanne is not talking, because there is nothing she can do. I’d add something like “And they’ve been lying to you this entire time, all while YOU put Leanne through the most disgusting abuse imaginable! I’m getting her out of here right now!” Leanne would say that Dorothy wouldn’t believe me because this sounds so different from the version of events she believes in. I’d ask when Jericho died, and Leanne would tell me August 26. I’d go “Then I’ll tell Mrs. Turner ‘ Here’s what I want you to do after I leave, Mrs. Turner. If you want to find out where Jericho is, there’s a pretty straightforward way for you to do it. You go look up death records in Philadelphia from August 26 this year. There, you will find something really weird. You’ll know exactly what I mean when you see it. Then you ask these two lying motherfuckers about it until they tell you the truth! They will keep on lying like they have this entire time, but you push them until they give you an explanation that explains what you’ll see among the records. Do it right after I leave, you can do that online! August 26 this year! And when they try to keep you from doing that, that’s how you’ll know I’m telling the truth!” I think Leanne would be really impressed by what I’m saying and the sheer boldness of it. I’d look over at her, and with a heavy smile, I’d say “Of course” and embrace her again. And I’d tell Leanne that if I can’t find the baptism tape, I’ll take all the tapes that aren’t news tapes or movies and whatever disc is in the player, if there is one there. Leanne would tell me to make sure the police can’t find the news tape, and I’d say “Sure. I’ll hide it somewhere at home after I watch it.” Then, Leanne would tell me to please take her Bible and the porcelain baby and card from the cake I gave her with me https://preview.redd.it/kxw1lfv5401d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=4b7ddb40216f5a5217c18faffe8be104b51955f6 (in the real show, she actually keeps her Bible even after she loses her faith, probably because she needs it for some of her powers) because she doesn’t know if she can take it with her herself, depending on how things go on the day, so she can be sure that she doesn’t lose either, and of course, I’d promise her. I’d also say that I’m really glad that the porcelain baby from the cake means so much to her now, just like I intended, to make her happy 😊 And I’d say that when I’m done saying what I’m planning to say to Dorothy when I go rescue Leanne, I’ll tell the Turners to empty their pockets and put everything on the table and tell them to go into the bathroom and lock it. I’d stay right there to make sure they’re not getting out, then call Leanne on the Samsung phone I already gave her and tell her to get whatever she needs, put on some clothes from the attic that don’t make her look suspicious outside (because if she walked outside with me in sleepwear while I got a gun, that would make it look as if I was kidnapping her), and come downstairs. As soon as she’s past the bathroom door, I’d unlock it, and we’d walk backwards together while still pointing the guns in the direction of the Turners. I’d tell Dorothy again to go look up the death records right now (the timing is important to keep them from calling the police immediately, so we can get to the police first), and we’d get out of the house, run to the taxi, and drive off, and call the police from inside the taxi. Leanne would ask me where we’re gonna ask the taxi to take us, and I’d suggest maybe a hotel in Allentown, where we’ll be safe from the Turners, and because we probably need to stay in Pennsylvania, so the police can come to us without leaving their jurisdiction. I’d hold Leanne’s hand tight and promise her everything’s gonna be okay, that I’ll make damn sure that she’ll be safe! Since we have no idea when the Turners will let her out of the attic again, we’d clean up immediate giveaways that that someone else is there (mostly just meaning we’d put the rest of the food in my backpack and hide my backpack). She’d then give me the porcelain baby, the card, and her Bible for safekeeping, and I’d put it in my pocket. We’d then take videos to document everything that’s in the attic, showing that we are indeed locked up, to keep as evidence for the police. We’d then get ready for bed. Again, we have to share a mattress and covers. I’d insist this time that I sleep on the side of the mattress that’s closer to the stairs leading up into the attic in case Dorothy decides to assault Leanne again, so I’m in the way. And when we lay down, because we still only have one mattress and covers for the both of us, we’d actually be really close together physically, and before falling asleep, we’d just look at each other again and again and smile every time we open our eyes and catch each other just looking at the other 😊 |
