I have my laptop DELL G3 15 3590 (i7 9th, 16gb ram, gtx 1660ti 6gb Max q, ssd PCI 500gb kingston). And the fvcking League Of Legends run arround 60-75FPS, but when im on a Team Fight, that can get down to 55fps. I dont play more games, but the GTA V run arround 65-48fps, and the Overwatch2 run on +60FPS.
Please dont say “and why do you want more FPS when your screen is only 60hz😭😭😭”. I know that shit… But i cant understand how its possible that my laptop can run the games so bad… It doesnt have any sense. I was searching wtf is going on, and i find a thing called “undervolt” and “thermal throttling”… What is that? If i fix that shit, can that fix my FPS PROBLEM?

I've played blood bowl before with dwarves, I didn't win the previous league I was in but I did a lot of damage. The next league going on in my LGS is mostly going to be composed of older players returning after a hiatus or new players. I wanted to branch out a bit and this time I decided to rock with Norses because I liked the Dwarves playstyle and these guys looked similar. While not as durable as Dwarves, I think that the Norses will be good fun.
The league start is $1,000,000 and this is my starting roster:
7 X Norse Raider Lineman ($350k)
1 X Beer Boar ($20k)
2 X Valkyries ($190k)
2 X Ulfwereners ($210k)
Apothecary ($50k)
3 X Rerolls ($180k)
Lineman having access to block is pretty good right off the bat, especially at $50k per player. While their only primary skill is general, they benefit from random primary skill ups instead of saving for specific skills.
Ulfwereners hit hard and can threaten the sidelines. Having 4 strength and frenzy possibly allow for crowd surfing to happen. I can see them getting block as their first skill in order to make them more effective.
Berzerkers are interesting but I don't want too many frenzy pieces on the board and get frenzy trapped. Starting out I'm probably not going to include them until I'm more comfortable with the Norses playstyle. I know that these models are primarily used as Blitzers, and Jump Up allows that to happen easier to get them to move around the board but I'm kinda turned off by Frenzy.
Beer Boars are just fun. While they can't carry the ball, they can definitely use their movement to get into position easier and tag enemy models. They also can be good candidates for fowling.
Valkyries are the most interesting models for the team. They're utility pieces than can fill any number of rolls. Pass & Catch allow for some more flexible ball movement (while the passing game isn't reliable, having free rerolls can definitely help the odds). Dauntless allows them to punch above their weight class which is nice and strip ball allows them to harass the enemy team. Wrestle could work pretty good on Valkyries to be better ball hounds, and considering they have primary A/G/P they can be specially built for specific roles if necessary.

With the Nuggets now eliminated, whoever wins the 2024 Finals will become the 6th different champion in a row. The amount of parity in the league is better than ever before and superteams are falling out of style. Tanking has become less desirable and now lottery teams want to keep their star players away from contending teams and try to make a run for the play-ins rather than tank for the 5th pick again (sorry Detroit). Super-max contracts have made free-agency boring and star players now only leave through trade requests thus making it harder for big market contending teams to scoop them up during the offseason.
It feels like the Warriors were the last dynasty to rule the league. It is becoming harder than ever to keep teams together because everyone eventually wants their payday. The Nuggets themselves lost a key piece of their championship team with Bruce Brown signing a big contract somewhere else.

i stomp my way through silver with 80% winrate, then as soon as i get to g4 with plat-emerald mmr suddenly my teams are full of feeders and trolls
you would think that people in plat-emerald are better than people in bronze-silver, but that doesn't seem to be the case here
this game is obviously trying to tank my winrate down to 50%, i mean:

• laners who afk at turret rather than watch for invade
• laners who dont go in on ganks
• laners who bait ganks
• laners who afk farm during ganks
• laners who bait the enemy team while youre soloing obj
• laners who dont rotate unless theyre bringing enemy team
• laners who afk farm while a fight is happening onscreen
• laners who farm jg instead of pressuring lanes
• laners who freeze lane mid-late game accomplishing nothing
• laners who afk split push all game but get no turrets
• laners who freeze lane while enemies roam all game
• laners who dont ward or counter ward
• laners who don't listen to pings whatsoever
• laners who dont help when being counter jg by 3 people
• people who type in chat more than play
• people who rage quit after 1 tiny thing goes wrong

this shit just didn't happen frequently while i was in low silver on this new account. it didn't even happen when i was 1 tier higher in mmr. only when i've gone to around 2 tiers up in mmr did this shit start happening every game.
i could go on and on but its just so obvious. this game gives you the most disgusting pig teammates if it thinks your winrate / mmr is too high, forcing you to grind through this psychologically manipulating bullshit.

Backstory

Taylor Bennett Armstrong was born into a creatively vibrant family. His father, Benjamin Armstrong, was a dedicated artist who often spent hours in his studio, painting and sculpting. Benjamin's work was deeply inspired by classical art, and his studio was filled with references to mythological themes and ancient techniques. This environment planted the seeds of creativity in Taylor from a very young age.
Taylor’s biological mother was Techne, the goddess of art, craft, and invention, but he had no knowledge of her divine heritage. His mother left shortly after his birth, leaving Benjamin to raise Taylor on his own. Despite the absence of his mother, Taylor's early childhood was filled with love and encouragement from his father.
When Taylor was five, Benjamin met Eliza, a talented graphic designer, at an art exhibit. They quickly bonded over their shared love for art and soon married. Eliza embraced Taylor as her own, though she struggled to understand his unique, often chaotic way of thinking and creating.
Even as a young child, Taylor showed remarkable intelligence and creativity. By the age of six, he was building simple machines and drawing intricate designs. One day, while working on a particularly ambitious project in his makeshift workshop, he was visited by Oleander, a satyr sent by Camp Half-Blood. Oleander had been observing Taylor for some time, noting his extraordinary abilities and his connection to the divine.
Oleander revealed to Taylor the truth about his mother, Techne, and his demigod heritage. At first, Taylor was skeptical, thinking it was some sort of elaborate joke or fantasy. However, Oleander's ability to demonstrate his satyr powers and his deep knowledge of Taylor's unexplained talents eventually convinced him.
Explaining the situation to his family was a challenge. Benjamin, who had always suspected that there was something special about Taylor, took the news in stride. Eliza, though worried and confused, ultimately supported the decision, understanding that Camp Half-Blood could provide Taylor with the guidance he needed. Rachel was both excited and scared for her brother, worried about the dangers he might face and she would miss him.
Thankfully, despite the huge distance he and Oleander had to travel from Toronto to Long Island went calmly, for the most part, with not many delays or monsters attacking them.
Well, at least until they reached New York. After that, the whole “calm journey” was out the window. It almost seemed like all the monsters decided to wait until they were close to their destination to suddenly appear one after the other. First they had to somehow avoid a cyclops. Then they were attacked by dracanaea. And finally, they were chased by harpies until they crossed the border of Camp Half-Blood.
By some miracle, they were still alive.
What a way to be introduced to demigod life.

Present Day

Taylor's arrival at Campbell Half-Blood was… something, alright.
You know, being chased by monsters from New York to Long Island, passing out in between attacks and then waking up in the Medic Cabin feeling like you've been hit by a truck and maimed by a cat at the same time was, in short, not fun. It also didn't help the fact that he had to stay in bed to get treated for what, hours. Which, for someone like Taylor, was absolute torture. Good for him then that demigods, apparently, had magic healing and he didn't have to stay for days instead. At least Oleander was around to explain every detail about the world he's been thrust into now that he was out of danger. And as a plus, he was also claimed, so yay! He had no clue who Techne was, but he was sure he would learn soon enough.
So, what does Taylor do after getting patched up? Does he wait and rest for a bit just to make sure everything is okay with him? Does he stop for a moment to process everything that has happened to him in the last 24 hours?
No! Of course not! This is Taylor, after all. Him staying put for more than 10 minutes would be a miracle already.
Instead, he just went off on his own to see what this Camp Half-Blood was all about. He just had to get to his cabin first, which would be relatively easy with Oleander's instructions, and then he could explore this place to his heart's content!
Hopefully, Camp Half-Blood would be ready for the chaotic force Taylor would prove to be.

Parasaurolophus - The Vigilant of the Herd!

• Utility Healer, Disruptor
• Proximity-based, area abilities, no targeting, weaker without allies, prefers prolonged teamfights

Backstory: Parasaurolophus hails from one of the old families of the Crystal Falls Herd which manages water rights for all groups of herbivores in the geographic area. She is known throughout the lands as a cunning bureaucrat and advocate of the underserved plant eaters downstream of the main valley. When Parasaurolophus volunteered to represent Crystal Falls in the Grand Tournament, she assured those skeptical of her abilities that leading apex carnivores into battle "para-style" would be less of an endeavor than staying home and managing the harrowing bureaucratic labyrinth of sauropodian water rights politicking during the summer droughts, and nobody disagreed. Watch out for her on the battlefield!

Kit + Abilities:

Trait: Social Dinosaur / Landstrider Passive: Parasaurolophus maintains a 500-unit permanent aura radius around herself. The strength of Parasaurolophus' abilities are increased incrementally as she surrounds herself with additional allies. 20%/30%/40%/50% bonus multipliers respectively for being around 1/2/3/4 allies. Being Silenced or Stunned temporarily disables this aura. Additionally, if Parasaurolophus moves in the same direction for 3 seconds, she will pick up her forelegs and run bipedally until stopping or changing cardinal directions, increasing her movespeed by 25% and causing her cooldowns to tick 10% faster while these parameters are maintained.
Q Ability: Advancing Punt: Active: Parasaurolophus lunges forward towards the cursor a small distance, slamming her forelegs on the ground and following up with a headbutt for two separate instances of damage. Enemies that are contacted by the punt are pushed forward a corresponding distance to be hit by the headbutt. Enemies that are hit by both attacks are stunned for 1 second. If Advancing Punt is initiated while Landstrider is in an active state, the displacement of Parasaurolophus herself and her enemies will increase to reflect that momentum.
W Ability: Herd Serenity: Passive: Allies around Parasaurolophus have a bonus rate of health regeneration factored at +100% their base rate, and +50% increased mana regeneration rate.
Active: When activated, allies around Parasaurolophus are healed for 20% of their max HP, and are cleansed of all crowd control, and Herd Serenity's Passive is applied at 500% base health regen and 250% base mana regen for 5 seconds.
E Ability: Sound Alarm: Passive: Parasaurolophus senses activity in the fog of war and vision-less brush within 1000 units and forewarns its team with "!" notifications where enemy movement occurs.
Active: Parasaurolophus extends her effect aura to 1000 units for 5 seconds, applying all applicable benefits and fully revealing the area it entails, including stealthed enemies, and immediately activates Landstrider, which will persist at least for the duration of this ability regardless of directional changes.
Ultimate Ability: Hadrosaur Stampede!: Active: Parasaurolophus becomes unstoppable and charges forward, stomping 3 times and knocking back enemies as she goes. If three or more enemies are cumulatively hit by the first two stomps, Parasaurolophus will instead perform a sweeping tailwhip for the third attack, expanding the width of the final strike to a half-circle, which will stun all enemies hit for 1 second and refresh the cooldowns of Herd Serenity and Sound Alarm. Hadrosaur Stampede! benefits from Landstrider in the same way that Advancing Punt does.

Playing against Parasaurolophus:

• Parasaurolophus has no targeted abilities - friendly or damaging - and so she isn't ideal for healing especially wounded teammates individually, or helping her team focus down a specific opponent.
• Parasaurolophus is capable of initiating teamfights by charging out of brush/fog with Landstrider (which may be stacked with ally-based movespeed buffs), and immediately ulting into your entire team - be mindful of where she is.
• She is not a particularly effective solo-laner because all of her abilities are budgeted for hitting multiple targets, so split-pushing, pressuring multiple areas on the map at once, and out-rotating Parasaurolophus will limit her ability to maximize her contribution to the team - she can only be in one place at a time.
• Parasaurolophus can be countered by quickly focusing down her individual allies in teamfights, avoiding long attritional engagements, and staying away from teammates during her ultimate to deny cooldown resets on her critical abilities. She does not really have the burst healing capacity to prevent a teammate from being quickly assassinated.
• Healing Reduction will severely limit Parasaurolophus' ability to keep her teammates healthy.
• Prioritizing Parasaurolophus in a fight can force her to use her active heal from Herd Serenity selfishly to stay alive, essentially denying her team the full value of the heal since her allies are still near full health.
• Advancing Punt and Hadrosaur Stampede! cannot be cancelled, so Parasaurolophus is committed to the full animation of these directional abilities and therefore she can very easily walk straight into her own death with ill-timed use of these abilities.

This was a fun concept to think about and put to paper. You can consider this some industrial-grade cope over the fact that we don't have a glorious dinosaur MOBA to play. I imagined in my mind this post playing out in a video like one of League of legends' Champion Spotlights and being narrated by the devs. Do you think she'd be fun to play? Thanks for reading.

When playing a standard league, does anyone else have an obsession with a certain team over the rest?
I really wanted to branch out and play with a different team after my Overdogs franchise accidentally got deleted but I just can’t will myself into playing with another team. Don’t know what it is about that team of misfits, but I can’t get nearly as invested with other teams as I am with the Overdogs.
I’ve tried numerous other franchises along the way, attempted to play with the standard Moonstars and Beewolves and just couldn’t get into it. Also tried to do shuffle drafts with the legends mixed in and couldn’t get invested in that either.
Anyone else like this? Or am I crazy for getting that invested in a fictional team?
