Hey,
Few days ago, I bought a Asus TUF VG249QM1A 240Hz 24". It looked really well and was very happy about it until I found a deadpixel (it was a blue pixel that I was only seeing on black screens).
Hopefully I noticed it before it was too late and managed to get a full refund from Amazon.
I'd like to buy another 240hz screen and I'm hesitating to buy the same one given my experience and the various reviews on Reddit and Amazon.
(Many people experienced deadpixel).
What do you think ? Is there any other monitor you would suggest for ~300€ max ? Preferably on Amazon France

Ma compagne m'a offert il y a deux jours un rat et il me mord. Ca n'est pas mon premier, j'en ai eu une dizaine ces 20 dernières années, à chaque fois ils étaient à deux dans leur cage, c'est mon premier qui n'ai pas de compagnon. Hier matin, le lendemain de son installation, au réveil je suis allé voir sa cage et je l'ai ouverte pour lui dire bonjour et il m'a mordu "pour gouter", mais a appuyé trop fort et il m'a mordu jusqu'au sang à plusieurs reprises. Ca n'était pas une attaque, il ne m'a pas sauté dessus, mais son comportement m'inquiète néanmoins.
Pour le contexte, il a été pris dans une animalerie, il y était depuis le début de l'année, donc il a quelques mois. A la maison, il a une grande cage, de la litière 'neuve' mélangée a celle qu'il avait à l'animalerie, ainsi que la maison qu'il avait à l'animalerie. J'ai deux chats, une qui s'en fout et un qui vient régulièrement regarder dans la cage 'le truc qui bouge tout seul'.
Est-ce que vous avez déjà connu un comportement similaire et, si oui, comment il s'est résolu ?

Salut ! C'est quelque chose qui existe dans beaucoup de pays, mais que j'ai rarement vu en France, ou alors dans les très grandes villes. Est-ce qu'il y a des cours du soir de langues ouverts au public dans la ville ? Pendant quelques semaines/mois des cours seraient organisés dans une université par ex, quelques heures le soir. Je suis particulièrement intéressée par l'espagnol (avancé), le suédois (intermédiaire) et le russe (débutant). Si vous avez des infos ça m'intéresse, merci !

Salut, je sors tout juste du cégep et je me recherche un emploi à temps plein à Montréal en vue de mon déménagement. Je recherche dans le domaine de la restauration en tant que busboy/barista/hôte... mais je ne trouve sérieusement rien, TOUS les endroits demandent un minimum d'expérience. Je me suis presenté en personne à plus de 50 endroits, j'ai énormément postulé en ligne, seul un restaurant m'a recontacté et c'était pour un poste à temps partiel... Ça fait plus de 2 mois que je recherche incessamment, je désespère vraiment, pourtant c'est la période estivale qui débute, on me dit qu'ils recherchent "partout" dans les restaurants. J'ai quand même 3 expériences de travail sur mon CV, dont deux qui sont du service à la clientèle... donc je ne sais plus quoi faire, j'ai eu l'idée de demander ici si vous connaissiez des endroits qui engagent des gens sans expérience. I wonder how the "serving" (no idea what it's really called) system work in the USA.
I've seen in movies, and more recently in the Rudy Giuliani case, that some people get to a great length to deliver justice paper to people who needs to come to court, disguising themselves and even pretending to be a guest at a birthday party.
So why is that? What happened if the perp successfully hide and refuse the paper? Are they magically exempts of attending the court ?
I live in France and we don't have anything resembling that system. We only have some mail that requires a signature upon reception.

In no way am I trying to be petty but long wait times are a daily occurrence and it’s usually the same places.
I understand things happen and places get busy but some places don’t even seem to care. They’ll lie to your face that it’s only going to be a few minutes then there I am 10 minutes later. Am I wrong in thinking that the order should be ready for pick up by the time I arrive?

I live in Charles Town and really love this neighborhood. I am not native to MO, moved in this community 6 years ago and absolutely love it. The only thing is ( not a complain, but more like a wish ) since I moved here , I saw thousands of homes been build but not many new businesses. I wish we have walmart, walgreens, dollar tree close to our neighborhood ( so that I don't have to go to elm street or other side of ST Charles). Any one aware what's coming in this area? For some contest, I (28M) have been talking to this girl (32F) for a couple of weeks. She’s a sweet person although I can tell we’re in two different realities. She’s born with a silver spoon and she’s the type of person that never had to earn anything in life.
It was the third time she’d come over to spend a couple of days with me. She lives 2 hours away. This time I offered to do the drive there, but it’s not an option since she lives with her parents, brother and daughter ( she has another kid but he doesn’t live with her).
Once she got to my house we took off with my car. I was gonna take her to a restaurant and then go do a wine tasting. The ride to the restaurant was about 25 minutes. I have two vehicles. this time we took my newer car (it’s my dream car, worked REALLY hard to afford it) I don’t smoke or eat in it and I keep it in pristine condition.
The moment she got in the car she started vaping and I kindly asked her not to. She did it again, at which I reminded her I wasn’t ok with it. Eventually she handed me the vape “telling me to try it”, that doesn’t smell etc.. I took it and put it on the side of the door. I told her I wasn’t going to smoke in my car and all she had to do was wait 25 minutes.
The entire ride there she kept throwing a fit and arguing about the fact she wasn’t allowed to smoke in my car, telling me I was just trying to “ rule over her” and being “The king of my car”. I told her she was acting like a child and that if she can’t wait 25 mins without smoking she definitely has big issues.
She kept pushing for it and I eventually asked her why she kept insisting if I said no since the beginning. it’s such an easy boundary to respect. And she was like “if I keep insisting eventually people will cave and I get what I want”. We were just getting to the restaurant when she said that. I finally snapped , I turned around and I was like “ right you got what you wanted . Now we go back , you take your car and you go the fuck home so you have 2 hours to smoke in the car” which is what happened afterwards .
I know my reaction was harsh but AITAH for it ?

I (F28) had a food allergic reaction today . My whole body was covered in hives and I promptly went to the doctors because I have insurance + I can. I remembered when I was about 10 years old . I got bitten by a spider and swollen up 2x my original size and my parents didn’t notice . That’s what I tell myself , because why didn’t they take me to the doctors if they had ? My dad owned a restaurant and I remember that all the customers were looking at me . I was so embarrassed that I kept my head down because I know they were “judging” me for being deformed bc of the allergic reaction. They were legitimately concerned about me, and brought it up to my parents . After 3 days of customers concerns , they finally took me to the Doctors, but the swelling had gone down. I couldn’t help but think that I could’ve died of my face could’ve been disfigured from that incident. My mom would hate me more bc I’m the ugly one but she will be happy to cash out my life insurance. They set me up for failure constantly and blame me .

1 (31F) met a guy (32M) on Hinge. Chatted for about2 weeks. We were in the process of making plans to meet when I accidentally got locked outta my account for like, 4 days, so l assumed he probably unmatched me which I would have thought was pretty fair. He did not. When I got back on, we picked up right where we left off. Texted all thoughtout the day, everyday. He's very successful, well traveled, handsome etc. We both want kids and marriage. Had a great first date and he asked me before it ended when he could see me again. The next 2 days he wanted to see me but I was super busy so we planned an early dinner at 5:30 tonight. I texted him (even tho we had been texting already today) about 3:30 to solidify the time and place. No answer. Finally answered about 6:30, and only said "(name of restaurant) 8pm." No apology for completely ignoring me when we had plans that were supposed to happen an hour ago. No explanation of WHY he completely ignored me and blew off our date. I said no thank you to his 8pm idea. He said I was being petty. I said "I'm petty for expecting a man to answer me when we had plans?" He read it immediately and never answered.
Just why. Literally just why. I try so hard to be optimistic but it's seriously getting discouraging. What. The. Fuck. I just want a nice, normal man who doesn't play games and is mature and can communicate ? I really just don't understand how/ why people act like this it's so disappointing.
