2024.05.31 09:31 anonymousandydick Anyone else's free Tinder Passport from COVID expire?

Not sure if any one remembers this, but back when COVID started most schools went to online and bars and things stopped allowing mass gatherings, so a lot of people went home and just did online classes.
So some time in March(?) 2020 Tinder gave everyone free passports for 30 days, you can change your location only, not unlimited likes or anything. Then they did the same thing again in 2021 for 30 days. But the thing is wherever your location was set at the end of the 30 days, your profile was stuck at that location lol.
There are a lot of old threads on here of how guys have profiles stuck in Asia and got 40-50 likes a day. Anyways, I go school in NC, but live in FL and my profile was stuck in FL. I thought it was pretty cool and it never changed back for months so I just went ahead and made a second profile and would swipe on both profiles.
Both profiles are still active, but just today the profile I had stuck in Florida this whole time stopped the passport and started showing everyone nearby.
Slim chances, but wondering if anyone else did the same and if their profile stopped the free passport and started showing locals again.

No experience necessary for the laborer custodial or maintenance mechanic positions. It helps on the interview but you can surely think of maintenance related experience to relay for an interview. Based on fixing things around your house, the car etc. Always mention working safely.
Pro tip: You can apply for any job that has an exam opening and the test is administered local to yourself. Make sure you're serious and score decently; you can turn down the job offer. Keep a physical copy of your exam score, I believe they are good for two years.
The reason is: These job postings can be posted externally at capacity for testing, meaning they will not allow you to take the exam if they have enough qualified applicants. However, if you have a test score on the books, you are a qualified applicant.
Explanation of MVO/TTO to save time:
MVO= CDL B Can only drive box trucks on public roads, can drive anything for moves on postal property.
TTO= CDL A Can drive anything.
USPS provides the training. (Maintenance jobs at least. Management...GOOD LUCK)

2024.05.30 00:12 101WolfStar101 Any chance you can get VTX parts?

The U.FL (worst connector ever invented) on my FS V2 broke and is unrepairable. I've soldered an antenna directly to the board but it was very difficult and I don't think the connection is great. My open air reception is fine but pretty much any penetration craps the signal.
Is there any chance I could get my hands on just the bottom PCB? I've emailed HDZ and waiting on reply but I'm curious if there's any other options I'm unaware of. Like buying a damaged one off someone and salvaging the bottom board?
Slim ik but my only other option is to throw $100 in the fire and buy a brand new one. I don't even want to put this one in another quad as it's barely worth flying unless you're in an empty field.

2024.05.28 20:58 One-Philosopher-8527 Which groovebox would work best for me?

Hi everyone! I am coming here to ask you all abt grooveboxes, specifically which one would work best for my case. I am very new to music production, and I really want to pursue it. I have found that DAW workspaces can be overwhelming and I like the workflow of dedicated music making devices like pocket operators etc. Because I am new to this I don’t know exactly what sound I am going for, just something I can experiment with and try to make full songs on, likely in the range of electronic, dnb, hip hop, idm, etc, mainly as a hobby (but possibly for class). My budget is a bit slim, so I am planning on capping my spending at $350ish.
Right now I am currently debating on getting either the EP KO II ($299) and the Polyend Tracker (on sale for $359). I don’t know a lot about certain functions like the importance of resampling but I have a good understanding of the basics. A good workflow is extremely important to me, and I’ve found that those two fit the type of workflow that I would like. Currently I’m not planning on getting something like Logic (but I might get FL). If yall have any suggestions lmk!

2024.05.27 21:32 alexmedlife 29M Open book former ICU nurse turned real estate investor relocated so LF friends to go on adventures, play tennis/pickleball, help each other's businesses/financial futures, work out with, or, hopefully, ALL the above!

Hello there, friendly internet people! My name's Alex, and I'm looking to make some awesome friends with other mentally healthy, well-rounded, and energizing people who are local or close by. I'm open to connecting with anyone, regardless of (18+) ages, genders, and marital statuses, as long as you are mentally and emotionally mature and passionate about something we can enjoy together or teach each other about!
I'm 29, single, 5'9", around 160 lbs, white (Eastern European), and in slim fit shape. I recently moved to Land O Lakes, FL. I have no kids, live a drama-free life, and don't do drugs, smoke, or drink.
Personal things I enjoy doing/value (in no particular order):
playing tennis or mini-tennis aka pickleball (would love to find consistent partners!)
scenic runs/walks (esp around lakes or parks)
cooking meals/meal prep
listening to music (enjoy anything upbeat and exciting like pop, EDM, and classic hits. Only things I generally dislike are hardcore rap, country, and heavy metal basically)
learning new things (esp self-improvement, business, investing, tech, science, philosophy, psychology, medicine)
Always honest, open, deep/personal communication
exercise (toned but not like 9-inch biceps lol. I run a few miles 1x a week, walk quite a bit, and then workout ~2x a week)
and then watching movies (mainly sci-fi, action, comedy. esp like deep ones that make you think such as Interstellar, Inception, Limitless, etc), shows, memes, educational/funny youtube vids, etc. I love to share random things that remind me of you after getting to know you a bit.
I want our time together to help us connect/learn about each other but also both fuel up on whatever we most need to grow as people. For example, us working out together to make sure we keep each other accountable for staying active. Or maybe we had an intense week and needed some downtime by walking in a park, tennis, or something. Or working on improving each other's businesses, financial plans, etc by sharing our knowledge or strengths.
That's the kind of connection I want to strive to make! And hopefully, if YOU also started imagining scenarios and thinking something like "wow, that would be so NICE to have a connection like that!" Then you should definitely send me a message!

2024.05.25 20:36 ineptapostate SlimDownRX is potentially astroturfing this subreddit

I wanted to bring attention to the community that SlimdownRX is potentially actively astroturfing and manipulating information in this sub.
Any potential legitimate criticism of this company is met with sporadic downvotes. You will also see tons of comments disputing potential negative information without providing any proof, or muddying the waters in an attempt to sow doubt about what is actually an issue.
SlimDownRX has seen by far the most complaints of any provider on this sub within the very short period of time they have been operational. Many of these posts or comments have either been deleted or downvoted out of visibility. I would suggest that along with astroturfing comments and votes, it's possible that SlimDownRX is providing discounts or some sort of compensation to users to remove their negative feedback. Due to this, I think it would be wise for sub members to screenshot/save any future negative posts going forward in case they are removed.
Because of the disinformation going on in this sub, astroturfed or not, I thought it would be a good idea to clarify some information.
SlimDownRX uses Ouisa Pharmacy. They are currently located at:
5196 Mariner Blvd Spring Hill, FL 34609
This location is a strip mall next to a vape shop and a nearby pawn shop. This is all verifiable via google maps and street view.
This is public information. This is the current address on their website and on Google. There is a ton of disinformation going around that this is not their current address, but a previous location. This is incorrect. Their previous location was in Tampa, Florida. This is also public, easily found information. It seems there is an active effort to sow doubt about where the pharmacy is located. I hope we can put this specific matter to rest.
When Ouisa first started sending out medication within the last couple weeks, users noticed that their vials did not look professionally produced, and were missing BUD dates and lot numbers. Ouisa eventually responded to these users with lot numbers. The problem is everyone received the same lot number, regardless or the dosage or dilution of their vial.
Users have also posted with concerns about crooked caps on the vials, broken vials, and highly inconsistent amounts of fluid in their vials, potentially due to initial filling errors or leaking.
Ouisa has only received their license to offer 503a compounding services within the last month or two. Despite that, they offer shipping to 48 states. Other more reputable and established pharmacies are unable to make that claim. Note that states like California have strict requirements that need to be met, which include BUD dates and lot numbers. How is it possible that Ouisa can legally ship to these states without meeting even the most basic requirements?
There's also lots of weird info going around, like the owner saying they have personally used Tirzepatide from Ouisa for 6+ months, despite Ouisa not being licensed to sell Tirzepatide in that timeframe.
I'm hoping we can shed some light on these issues and get some answers to some open questions. Since slimdown is active on this sub, I'll ask a few here for the owner that I've previously posted:
What is your relationship with Ouisa owners?
How did you meet them?
Can you clarify your story where you stated you have personally used their compound in a timeframe where they weren't legally licensed to make the compound in the state of Florida?
Have you personally verified that their facilities are following proper protocols?
Have you been to their facilities?
Can you confirm that their location is in a strip mall next to a vape shop and a pawn shop?
Has the pharmacy been inspected by any third party?
Are there plans to have the pharmacy inspected by a third party?
Has the compound been tested by a third party?
Are there plans to have the compound tested by a third party?
Have you verified that the lot numbers sent were accurate?
Why did everyone have the same lot number?
Why did vials of different dosages and dilutions have the same lot number?
As I can already anticipate some of the incoming comments, I'll let you know that I am in no way associated with any provider or company operating in this field. I personally use Orderly. I have received meds from Hallandale and Red Rock. I have no allegiance to any of these companies. I've had a positive experience but there are plenty of other providers mentioned on this sub that seem great too. Just getting that out of the way.
EDIT: As an example, I would like to bring attention to the user u/AlwaysunnyNsocal, who has replied 12 times as of 1 hour of this post being submitted. Each reply seems to take personal offense to criticism of this company and sow doubt about concerns without providing any evidence to the contrary. I personally can't say whether this user is astroturfed somehow or just weirdly obsessed with defending this company. Either way their activity is odd. Look at their comments and judge for yourself.

2024.05.25 13:58 SyzygyOfStars Getting into this trade with a bad driving record? Wanting to go to school in a couple months

I have a relatively clean criminal background (1 misdemeanor) however my driving record has kicked my ass when I was considering being a trucker at one point. I did an MVR pull and I have:
At fault accident 1/22
Speeding 29 over 11/22
Roll thru stop sign 11/22
Failure to obey traffic control device 12/22
I also have an at-fault accident which occurred in 12/21, however it only shows in insurance records, not MVR
I was apparently pre-hired at a couple companies when I was considering being a trucker but they were bottom of the barrel. I assume that lineman jobs would probably be more lenient, I can 100% get a CDL but insurance is definitely a problem. Couple companies such as pike (yeah Ik) said it should be fine but they can’t get close to guaranteeing anything, so I could blow $7k and not be able to find work. Couple companies told me it would be difficult. I am 21, live in FL, and pay about $60 more than average for minimum coverage. Anyway, what insight can y'all give me with this? Also, would it be worth it to take a chance, go to school now and start applying after with it on my resume, then if I still can’t get anything just waiting until late 2025 when those violations go past the 3 year mark? I would really like to get into this trade.
Edit: I’ll add that I actually spoke to a lady at Pike that processes and approves the background checks, and she said from all the info I gave her I should be fine. But I can’t really apply until I get the school done. Although she could be bullshitting me, I don’t know if they have recruiting bonuses but she could just be trying to reel me in for a slim chance of getting one

2024.05.23 00:47 alexmedlife 29M Educated, open book, ICU nurse turned real estate investor relocated so LF friends to go on adventures, play tennis/pickleball, help each other's businesses/financial futures, work out with, or, hopefully, ALL the above!

2024.05.18 02:37 Alone-Competition-77 Ousia pharmacy

Given the recent dust up with Ousia pharmacy not providing proper labeling, I thought I’d do a couple quick Google searches.
First, the Florida filing page for them has documents going back to 2015. (Which is the first odd thing since they should know about labels if they have been around that long) As has been mentioned on here, they are supposedly owned by a company called Total Compliance Solutions in Minnesota. They both list someone named Denise Shrade as the owner, so that makes sense.
If you google around you find this lawsuit and this which I think is part of the same lawsuit. Apparently a Medical Surgical company is suing them or something for not paying their bills? Here is a thread where someone has some unkind things to say about Denise and Mark Schrade and a financial deal they got involved with.
Edit: Also this user found several lawsuits against them for several hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Also, here is another lawsuit filed in Florida against the same Denise Schrade.
Also, here is an odd story about the Schrades trying to buy the Worcester Warriors which contains the disturbing revelation:
The Mail on Sunday can reveal that two of the individuals in Jim O’Toole’s consortium, a couple called Denise and Marc Schrade, were running a weapons store and private medical centre out of the same building in Minneapolis as recently as 2018. The couple also failed to turn up for a recent court case.
So it sounds like Denise and Mark (Marc?) have several interesting business things going on in Minnesota and Florida. What does all this amount to? Maybe nothing. This was about 10 minutes of googling so I probably missed some other stuff.
At the very least, it would be nice to see some proof of the facilities at Ousia pharmacy to make everyone feel better. I still think SlimDownRx is a good company run by good doctors.
Edit 2: I got rated down for posting this link in a comment (some certain someone’s must be lurking) so I am posting it here at the top:
You can search the name Denise Shrade here and find about 8 lawsuits: https://publicaccess.courts.state.mn.us/CaseSearch
Edit 3: I would encourage a read of the response by SlimDownRx here. After reading his response, I almost feel bad for posting all of this. (Borderline thinking of deleting this post.) He makes some excellent points.

The author of the critically acclaimed poetry collection Night Sky with Exit Wounds, winner of the 2016 Whiting Award, the 2017 T. S. Eliot Prize and a 2019 MacArthur fellow, Vuong writes directly to our humanity without losing sight of the current moment. 2024.05.14 07:57 Kindly-Artichoke-637 Surviving Rockville!

Hey y’all! Just got home from Welcome to Rockville 2024… what a crazy, wild, fun, and HOT weekend! I’m gonna just list out some tips for the festival for anyone that plans on going in the future and some tips for concerts/festivals in general!
everyone is different and this is based on my personal experiences at concerts and festivals. Some tips may be super obvious, but if you’re a first timer, it’s good to have a reminder! There is no guarantee all these tips will apply to you/be allowed at every/future festivals. Make sure to check festival/concert venue rules and regulations before you go
  1. Keep an eye on the weather! The weather was hotter than I expected a couple days, and cooler other days. Make sure to pack some back up outfits and FL in May… expect anywhere from 70°-95°… with humidity the first day, it felt like over 100°. They also delayed doors one of the days because of possible thunderstorms. Download the WTR app to get alerts right away!
  2. Lockers are lifesavers! Who wants to carry extra weight all day?! I splurged on a 4 day locker and am so happy I did. Great meet up spot when you’re with friends and get separated, can throw a towel and extra clothes and sunscreen in it and grab what you need when you need it. Wanna go in a pit or crowd surf? Toss everything in your locker. Don’t want to be bringing things in and out of the festival? Leave it in the locker overnight!
  3. To avoid heat exhaustion and passing out, stay hydrated!! I did not drink any alcohol until sunset each day and drank lots of water during peak heat of the day. They ended up allowing hydro packs because it was so hot. I would bring one along just in case they say you can bring them in. I do not condone drugs but if you insist on taking them, be aware that Rockville had a police dog at gates and please be safe and don’t test your limits at a festival
  4. More on bags and hydro packs… www.lunchboxpacks.com has clear bags with hydro packs. If they don’t allow the hydro pack, you can remove it. These bags have anti-theft zippers and pockets, and with all the reports of lost phones and other items being literally stolen out of pockets and bags, this bag really helped keep everything secure. For me, this bag passed through security with no issue. Side note, DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK if they haven’t announced letting hydro packs in, you can hide the bag and tube in your clothes, it’s all plastic and won’t set off an alarm.
  5. List of helpful items to bring:
• Sunscreen (for my makeup lovers, I used a 50 SPF CC cream on my face so I could have some coverage and not get burnt or have a greasy face)
• Sanitizer
• Lip balm with SPF
• Wet wipes
• Tissues (literally will be breathing in dirt/sand and will get congested… blow occasionally)
• Sunglasses
• Bandaids (I had so many blisters from wearing Docs lol)
• Ear plugs
• Power bank/charging cables (lunchbox packs has a great power bank)
• Towel/light blanket (use to sit on the ground if you don’t wanna stand in the crowd or seating in tents is full)
• Extra shirt/bottoms (best to keep in locker. Some stages had a dude with a firehose spraying the crowd and I got drenched. Also one night it got cold and I was able to put a tee on over my bikini and I almost had a bodysuit malfunction another day so having shorts to put on helped)
  1. Dress “code”: wear whatever you want (ladies, nips have to be covered!). I saw people covered head to toe, in comfy clothes, costumes, and people wearing pasties and thongs. Anything goes! They are strict on spikes… do NOT wear anything with spikes. They allowed small chain necklaces, but no thick chains… however, day 1, walking to the entrance of the security line I had thick chain necklaces on and the security guard at the entrance told me to hide them in my bag… I got them through that way and then put them on. It seems like once you get through security, they don’t care unless some issue arises from something you’re wearing/brought in.
  2. Crowd safety! Careful in the pits! Remember the number one rule… if someone falls… PICK THEM UP. We are a family so let’s help each other stay safe. If you see someone acting up, tell security. If someone is stealing, tell security. If someone is about to/is passing out, get a medic. If you are near a pit and not in it, keep an eye on it so you don’t get knocked over. If someone comes at you, don’t freak out and shy away, just push them back in. If the pit is behind you, my best defense (I am a pretty small female so be careful with this one if you’re bigger) has been shoving my elbows back behind me to keep people from knocking me forward. Make sure you look back occasionally/pay attention to people around you because there will be an insane amount of crowd surfing… someone even went up in a wheelchair during Slipknot and ADTR told people to crowd surf on top of a crowd surfer… it got crazy and dangerous so STAY ALERT
  3. Finding your way around… you will have slim to no reception. Keep an eye on landmarks… stages, sound booths, entrances, rides, lights, tents, food trucks, etc. this will help you navigate and set up meeting spots for when you’re with friends. Keep screenshots of the set times and circle what bands you are going to. Set your lock screen to a screenshot of a note with info if your phone is lost or stolen (number of friend/family to call if someone picks up your phone or police catch a thief, your name, etc.) and change home screen to a map of festival.
  4. Food and drinks: look at all the food options before you pay… some booths give you a kiddie portion for $20+ and some give you more than a full size meal for $15. Try to eat proteins AND carbs since you will be walking a LOT. Protein is going to help with your muscles, while something with carbs will fill you up more so you don’t have to eat as much/often! The drinks are also pricey. The Heavy Tiki booth was definitely the best deal, frozen cocktails in a huge cup with a shot of dark rum on top… $22! Small mixed drinks were about $18.
Well if I think of anything else, I’ll add it to the comments or edit post! Rock on y’all!

TOTAL €1825.81 WINDOWS IS SO EXPENSIVE AHHHH!!!! (€1680.81 without Windows 11)
Its mainly a PC for video editing, Word etc and some light gaming (HOI4). I could switch to a 13600KF if I wanted to save money but the integrated graphics can come in handy from what I've heard (discrete GPU issues etc).
Just want to make sure everything is compatible (PC Builder says it is), and also a sanity check if I'm overspending on anything.

2024.05.11 13:27 Karst1g03 Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra for Music Production

I bought the Samsung Galaxybook3 Ultra to get a laptop that could keep up with my desktop at home. I simply loved the specs, RTX 4070, I913900H and the 32GB of RAM and how slim it was, (even tho the price was hilarious).
I booted up the machine and installed the things i needed. Once i started working in my DAW i noticed pops and crackles pretty damn often. Not only in Fl studio, but also when watching videos on Youtube etc. This was pretty annoying, and after 8-9 months of trying to ignore it, i decided to send it back to where i bought it from even tho the overall CPU and GPU Performance is flawless.
I've litteraly tried everything. Messing around and reinstalling audio drivers, disabling windows features and settings. I also decided to run an "audio buffer stress test" after a friend of mine had the same problem with the same laptop. The stress test scored pretty damn bad, and it told me "this computer is not capable of heavy audio processing / buffering".
This has to be an issue with the Samsung GalaxyBook series, and not only mine. I've red a few other reddit posts about this and i wonder how Samsung manages to produce laptops with so scrappy sound processing.
I would rather buy a ASUS Zephyrus or a Lenovo for the same price. I hope this posts gives some advice for those who are planning on buying a Galaxy Book
