I would like to take this time to talk about my diarrhea. I had the worst diarrhea of my life a few months ago after eating at Applebee's. I got sick while I was in the mall and it hit very suddenly. The closest toilet was in Sears so I waddled as fast as I could to get to the bathroom before a river of brown erupted from my butt. Alas I discovered that the only bathroom in Sears was on the second floor, so after futilely searching I had to make for the escalator. I could feel the butt-volcano about to erupt, I was frantic. I thought OK, almost there, I can make it, and then I learned that the bathroom was all the way on the far side of the store from the escalator! This was bad, really bad. I had my sphincter clenched as tight as I could but I knew I had only seconds left and the bathroom was about half a minute away. If I sprinted I could make it, but if I sprinted I wouldn't be able to properly clench my sphincter. I was stuck. I did the best I could, and I even made it to the bathroom, but before I could get to the stall Mt. Buttuvius erupted in my pants. And it just kept coming. I waddled to the stall with a brown geyser shooting from my bum, got my pants down, and my butt kept spraying like the world's most foul fire hose. It got all over the seat, the toilet, the walls, the floor, there was even some on the ceiling. The CEILING! I had to pant and breathe deeply but the smell was so bad I almost vomited. So there I was, in Sears, my pants a wet, slimy, nasty brown. The only good thing was that there wasn't anybody in there, and all through my struggle, nobody else came in. I did what I had to do. I used two entire rolls of toilet paper to try to clean up, and I had to try to flush my underwear into the toilet. As you can imagine, this didn't work, so the toilet overflowed and spilled fecal juice all over the bathroom. I used a third roll of toilet paper to try to clean up before giving up. Anyone else relate?

At this point, I do not know who or where else to go to describe what I have been experiencing for the last hour. I hope by submitting what I have been through here, I can find some advice or at least some comfort to make me feel less alone and trapped wherever I am. I finished my day at work today at 5:13 pm, a little later than I usually wrap up. I have tried several times to leave the building, and I have failed to do so every time. I do not know how much longer I can go through this.
To provide some context, about a month ago I started a brand, shiny new job at a major financial institution in the city of Dallas. Fresh out of college I had always heard the job market was hell for recent grads, but I was stunned to be hired at the first place I interviewed at. Great online employee reviews, phenomenal pay, and a wide variety of benefits; it was a dream come true for an ordinary, not particularly outstanding 2.9 GPA student at the nearby state school. I hit the ground running and never looked back, devoured all the work they threw my way, and have come to appreciate and connect with the people I work with. I won't bore you with more details but I work in IT and 98% of my day consists of helping people unplug and plug things in, and even practicing the ancient technique of telling people to turn their devices off and back on again (You would be shocked how often this works). Not particularly glamorous work, but the pay is solid and the coworkers are fun and good people to work with. What I wouldn't give for a few beers and laughs with them now. I don't think I will ever be seeing them again the way I did before.
Back to today, It was a normal day of troubleshooting calls and inventory spreadsheets punctuated by a great 30-minute frozen dinner lunch with my cube mate, let's just call him Ron for this post. A few hours later, Ron wrapped up his day (he always came in an hour earlier so he left earlier) and said his goodbyes to me, winking at me and imploring me not to work too late. I was deep within a server inventory spreadsheet so I nodded to him and smiled at him, pouring back into my sheet. I didn't even take a second to look at the clock on my PC until it was already 5:13, 13 minutes past when I usually wrap up. Feeling good and set for the day I powered down my device, packed up my items from my cube, and headed down the six floors to the main entrance where my car was parked directly in front.
A little context on the building itself, it is massive. Almost in look and feel to the point where it looks like one gigantic shopping mall. There is a Starbucks and a Deli on the ground floor that I passed by on my way out. There are probably about 15 small trees and bushes (live ones that some poor sucker has to take care of every day) dotting the walkways to the main entrance. Think of the whole building as one giant plus sign if you saw it from a sky view. As I walked out the door I noticed nothing abnormal, the fact that there were no people around was no surprise to me. Besides the security guards, I was one of the last ones out and was not accustomed to seeing anyone on my way out. As I approached the main gate, whistling to myself the same James Taylor song that was on the overhead music, I flipped my lanyard around my hand and stepped out the door into the Dallas afternoon, which was forecasted to be a shockingly cool one. As I stepped out, I will try to best describe just what happened to my body next.
Strange as it sounds, the first thing I noticed as I stepped out was the pungent odor immediately of eggs. I have always hated eggs from the texture to the smell so this nearly barreled me over as I stepped into the light. On top of that, where the parking lot should have been was only a bright, blinding light that I did not see through the door and only when I stepped outside. I (foolishly) attempted to shield the light from my face, but it was almost as if the blinding rays shot through my very flesh and directly into my eyes. My vision went dark and when I eventually was able to open my eyes, I was back at my 6th-floor cubicle staring directly at the clock on my PC. 5:13 was the time. I had lost about 5 minutes of my life walking down. But I did not lose those five minutes of my memory. Or that egg smell that still lingered in my nostrils.
My brain didn't even fully process what had happened. In utter almost trance-like shock, I walked down to the very same entrance, but this time stopped as I neared the front door. I saw everything out of the front glass window as it should be. A sky full of clouds and a dark overcast day, my 2006 Honda Civic parked exactly where I always parked it, and cars racing down the nearby freeway I always took home. It was like the very world was taunting me to try again. So understandably I did. Egg smell, bright light, cubicle, 5:13. The same series of events as last time. I tried a third time this time with eyes closed; Egg smell, bright light, cubicle, 5:13. Each time that same James Taylor song echoed ambiently overhead. I wasn't whistling anymore of my fourth try.
I tried closing my eyes and walking out with the same result. Although I had initially been disturbed, at this point the ridiculousness of the situation had made my blood boil. Absolutely nothing was out of the ordinary with the office, nothing looked off or suspicious. The building had full power and hell even internet as I write this. As an IT guy, I would have gotten hundreds of alerts had something happened with the power or the internet, but I got none. This main entrance was the only one that I could access. Before you comment I tried one of the fire doors and the same thing happened. I saw the other side of the parking lot and when I walked outside, I started to smell eggs and knew what was going to happen. Someone or something knows I am trying to leave and will not let me. It was only after that attempted fire escape exit that things began to change.
When I woke back up at my cubicle for what seemed to be the 5th time, I noticed that there was no light coming from the windows near the cubes on my floor. I do not mean it was dark out or night, there was no light or any type of movement coming from behind those glass windows. Black is a color we know and we recognize. What existed outside these windows was the complete and utter absence of any light or color at all. This, this is what terrified me. I had been confused and frustrated by whatever groundhog day time loop I was caught in but almost had not fully accepted the nature of my situation till now. I ran through the remaining 5 floors in terror, knowing that every next window I would encounter nothing but the void. As I got to the bottom floor windows I reached the main entrance and saw nothing but blackness. Well, almost nothing. Near the front door, exactly where I parked it on the now ghostly void was my car. The hood and headlights seemingly twisted into a smiling face back at me. Taunting me to try to come reach it. I slumped down at the door and stared directly into its smiling, shrieking metal hood, which I was at least semi-assured was no more than a figment of my imagination. I was focusing too much on the hood of the car that I barely noticed the passenger door swing open and a figure cock their head out of the open door to look into the entrance where I was.
I don't know how best to describe this next part without just saying it was myself. Or at least someone or something who looked EXACTLY like myself. Same cheap tie and perfectly gelled hair. I half expected him to shriek in glee or laugh at me hellishly in my complete shock and horror. But he didn't. He simply got out of the passenger seat, walked around the car to the driver seat, and hopped in. He, or it, or I started the engine, gave me a full-toothed smile and a brief wave, and drove off into the darkness. I never smile with my teeth.
In a fit of fear, anger, and desperation I screamed and banged against the glass door with all my might. I didn't get very far. The glass was searingly hot, hot enough to nearly burn the skin of my fist as I reflexively pulled them away. I slumped down to the floor sobbing as I watched the bumper of my car plunge into the distant darkness.
I am writing this back up at my desk on the 6th floor. I do not know why this is happening to me. Someone or something is keeping me from leaving here. I do not know who or what that imposter was, or if he even was real, or just a figment my terrified, angry mind conjured up to give me some reasoning or justification as to why I am trapped like this. I have now called my parents and brothers hundreds of times with no answers. I have even gone to emailing and messaging my coworkers and have gotten nothing back from any of them. I am beginning to realize I may never get a response. Throughout my texts calls and emails I failed to notice something until this moment. The time. It had not changed at all.

I'll just cut to the chase: My mom has Hoarding disorder. She owns a 3-acre property with an 2,000 sq ft overflowing house, 3 shipping containers filled with who knows what, two outbuildings, and several vehicles in various states of usability.
We are preparing a Trust, and transferring the real property into it...but I am preparing myself simultaneously to have to inventory the "stuff" - the tangible personal property - for selective inclusion in the Trust or for any Probate that happens.
First, it might help to imagine a strip mall that had a Radio Shack, a Vintage Toy store, and an antique shop with everything from now-mostly-worthless depression glass to old farm tools to now-popular 60s jewelery...and that strip mall was blown up by a not very good bombmaker. Stuff is entirely intermingled in piles. There is a lot of actual trash - and, some things that might be trash, but could be salvaged - so might have value, might not. The biggest problem is the sheer volume of stuff.
1) most is, truly, trash. Really, like an entire basement of damp board games. They may have had value, and sure, the component parts could be salvaged, but that takes time and money. If I do characterize all of it as trash, do I have to account for it in any way for probate?
2) some stuff has theoretical value as collectibles - whether because it is antique/vintage household items, boxed Star Wars toys, old costume jewelry. The idea of going through it all by hand is already giving me hives - is there a way to get around itemization for stuff I know is in there so it can be put in the Trust? Can I say 'collection of depression glass, 400 pieces' and estimate the overall value of a grouping? How does one deal with a hypothetical 'Box of Thundercat action figures' when some are collectible but only in certain condition - and I really don't want to spend 5 days finding and aggregating them, guessing at condition and looking up prices if I don't have to. Can these be dealt with "in bulk" and stuck in the Trust, just so we don't have to do a more detailed inventory for Probate?
3) There are also things that have value like 200 HDMI cables in packages, random assortments of tools and hardware and bagged fuses and the related 'radio shack' type stuff. I am guessing a normal estate has this on a smaller scale - someone's tool shed, for example, or just the contents of a living room with, say, just 3 HDMI cables : ) None of that needs to be in the Trust, but if things went to probate, what level of detail is needed?
4) Then there is are things like a mid-70s Bronco that has been sitting in the field for 20 years - it is either plain old scap or valuable to the right person. I am thinking that since our state allows a beneficiary to be on a title, it can be handled that way and dealt later, outside of probate...unless there is a better way.
5) The big one: What happens when a decedent’s house is condemned? How is probate handled for the TPP inside the house or on the property? I cannot vouch for the safety of the building, so figured I may was well wrap my head around that now. We're in Maryland, btw.

I'm tired of seeing the hate against Haywood Mall.
It's a perfectly fine mall. The only missing anchor is Sears, and that's because of Sears largely going out of business. Yes, Williams Sonoma and other stores have left and moved or are moving downtown, but retailers such as those are closing in a lot of malls and moving to non-mall locations.
It's not Phipps Plaza or SouthPark, despite all being owned by Simon, because Buckhead and the SouthPark area are simply large wealthy areas that aren't duplicated in Greenville. It's certainly better than the malls in Asheville, Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Columbia, which are comparable cities.
Do I go to Haywood? No. But I don't hate the place. As a child, my family usually went to McAlister Square, and I went to Greenville Mall a lot more in the late 1990s. But Haywood is what we have now.
And for people complaining that Williams Sonoma was replaced by a mattress store: First World Problems. Rich people don't need a pity party.
So, Haywood haters: cut it out.

Or malls for that matter. I grew up on clothing from JC Penny, Rue 21, Gadzooks, and Sears. I got most of my quality stuff from Penny and now I am 42 I get excited seeing it. The one close to me closed a few years back so the closest on is now an hour away.
I still like going there to find clearance deals and get some clothes or pants once in a while. Mostly I think it's because my family went there a lot and their Wishbook was the bomb.

I've started and stopped writing this post at least two dozen times over the last few months. Ever since the shutdown announcement, I've felt like I wanted to express my feelings the best way I know how: an overly verbose and, (probably more than) somewhat meandering screed. But every time I sat down to really put thoughts to the proverbial paper, there's been something holding me back. Whether it was a timing that didn't feel appropriate, my own insecurities about trying to distill years worth of emotions into something that was even remotely readable, or just general procrastination (let's be honest, it's at least 50% that), I sit here now realizing that the May 15th shutdown for the RT website wasn't the actual "last day" for everyone. So, my first apology should be for missing the mark here entirely. My second should be for how long I anticipate this being.
Even now, I'm trying to really formulate how to begin what all I want to convey. I guess I can start on a day that's come to, in a very cosmic coincidence sort of way, represent some of the worst times in my life. April 25th. In this particular case, let's go back over a decade, before "Funhaus" had started, to April 25th, 2012.
It was getting late. My best friend—let's call him Ryu—and I had just finished playing some Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm on 360. I had invited him to come hang out at the place I was living at the time (both of our boss's basement) since he'd been in a bad place recently. His ex-gf had called me earlier that day and asked me to do a wellness check on him. They had broken up recently and he wasn't taking it well. We were chatting about where we were going to try and grab a late bite when I saw some movement outside of the front door. Before I had time to process what was happening, several armed figures entered his house. He was pinned to the couch, and I felt a searing pain flash across my face as I was punched in the mouth, lifted from the couch, and slammed to the ground; jettisoning my shoes in the process. We were handcuffed as they searched the house. I thought it was a home invasion. I fully accepted that I was going to die if they were going to try and move us. Luckily for me, a few moments before I was planning on trying to make a run for it, a detective came in and led me outside. I was met by a dozen cop cars, SWAT vans, and other law enforcement vehicles. Turns out, his ex-gf had called the cops and swatted us with a false rape claim. I was booked for "obstruction of justice" and spent a few hours in the county drunk tank before my parents could come post my bail. As I was leaving the jail, I caught a glimpse of my friend sitting in his cell waiting to be processed. The light completely gone from his eyes; soul darkened. I knew in that moment I had lost him forever. Three months later he committed suicide in his car.
A few years later, I was working a retail job. I had gotten the gig from a friend—we'll call him Sky—who also knew Ryu. In fact, Sky had trained Ryu at a previous company, and then Ryu trained me. Sky went onto to this new company, and Ryu followed shortly after. Unfortunately, due to his arrest, Ryu was let go from his position. I was now picking up where he left off. Following in the footsteps of the only person I had ever considered an "older brother". One morning, Sky says he's found this hilarious new YouTube channel. It's these guys. They used to be called Inside Gaming, but they went rogue from Machinima and started something new with Rooster Teeth. It was called "Funhaus" and they did comedy gameplays. I was vaguely aware of all the words he said. I knew RvB but hadn't kept up with it. I knew all the AH personalities because I was (and still am) hopelessly addicted to achievements. But until this point, the only real YouTube stuff I kept up with was Extra Creditz. It just wasn't something I really consumed in that way. That was all about to change.
Funhaus was an instant rabbit hole for me. I think it was about six months after the channel launched that I was introduced and I cleared the back catalog in two weeks max. The humor, the gameplay, the way everyone riffed on one another. It was the first time I actually listed to an entire episode of a podcast. I was fully bought in. It also didn't hurt that both Sky and I agreed that Lawrence reminded us so much of Ryu that it was almost uncanny. From the weeb tendencies, to the bombastic pontificating, to the frame of glasses he wore. It wasn't a perfect facsimile, but only being a few years removed from the incident it was an oddly comforting form of catharsis. And so, I began my daily ritual of watching the newest Funhaus video. Monday's in particular I remember opening the store and eating my chicken biscuit every morning while watching the newest Demo Disk. I would often get asked by my teammates, "What are you watching?" and they'd have to politely sit through a short dissertation on Funhaus and why it was the funniest thing on YouTube. There was one such conversation that always stood out to me that went something like this,
Co-Worker: "You know kliq, I see you in here on your lunch break every single day watching a video on your phone. About half of the time you can't even breathe you're laughing so hard. So I looked over your shoulder the other day and it's just three white dudes playing a video game? How can it be that funny?" Me: "Lemme show you something."
I pulled up the gameplay of James yelling at FIFA 2006 and I had converted another fan.
The years from 2015-2019 are some of my favorite Funhaus memories. Not in a "I hate Future Funhaus" way, but just as sort of going through my mid-20s and starting to become a person. I know it became a common joke to talk about the parasocial nature of YouTube channels around this time, so pardon me for this bit of cringe, but in a very real way I felt like I had discovered several long-lost older brothers (and one sister). I knew that I didn't actually know these people. But the caricatures they played while performing for the camera became a very impactful part of my life. Much in the same way that a good character in a book or a TV show can resonate with you in ways you wouldn't expect, the Funhaus crew informed a lot of my sensibilities. They taught me about comedy, they gave me different perspectives through which to the view the world, and, in a very real way, helped me navigate away from some of the online cesspools that I would have otherwise probably succumbed to. It was during this time that I also met the crew. I went to a PAX East Panel where I was front-row for the "De-pah-ted" gag over and over. Afterwards, we went to world's oddest meet-up location (a children's science museum) where everyone queued up to meet each person individually. Everyone was incredibly kind and funny. The next year the meet-up was smaller, but I trudged through the snow to stand in around the upper floor of a mall to chat with Lawrence and Peake. The next day Lawrence was MCing a competition and I won some free swag after beating some people in Jenga. (We never did figure out how to eliminate multiple people.) This was also around the time that I finally signed up for RT First, specifically to watch Arizona Circle on repeat.
It's around here that my Funhaus story takes a turn and it's really the reason I feel most compelled to apologize profusely to everyone that worked there. The pandemic hit me hard. In 2018, I was laid off from a job and spent six months unemployed with absolutely nothing. I was paying my rent on my credit card (among other things), and would buy my friends groceries on my cards to have them pay me cash so I could pay the minimums. I had to move across the country for a new job and I left everyone I ever knew behind except my wife. But for those first two years, I knew I had Funhaus to keep my spirits afloat. Then the lockdown. I fell behind on everything. I still remember the last video I watched all the way through. It was the murder mystery yacht video where everyone dressed up. For whatever reason, I just... stopped. Before I knew it, I was six months behind in my videos and then everything happened with Adam and I sort of just floated away.
I kept telling myself I would come back. I kept saying I could still catch up. But suddenly it was 2021, and then 2022, and I still hadn't watched a single video. I would see Reddit posts about how "I miss the old days" and "What's with this new cast", but whenever I would see a clip, I would laugh as hard as I always had. For whatever reason, I just couldn't come back and watch episodes. Toward the end of 2022, I was experiencing the lowest point I had in nearly a decade. I was extremely depressed and could barely focus on life. I decided then that I was going to restart at the beginning. I was going to watch the entire Funhaus catalog for a big, grandiose project that I would publish for their 8th anniversary in 2023. I made it about six months deep into the catalog before I succumbed to more despair. I had to take time off of work. Then, on April 25th 2023, I was laid off from my job. (I told you this day sucked.)
Fast forward to this year, and I'm realizing that I'm watching some of my absolute favorite people in the world present their last versions of themselves on stream on the one-year anniversary of me realizing I was jobless again. I cried all the way through that stream. James's speech at the end had me in absolute shambles. I almost still can't reconcile that this is all ending. I know that some people reading will probably think it's gauche to compare Funhaus ending with the death of a best friend and losing my own job, and I wouldn't necessarily hold that against them. It's funny how certain things link themselves in our minds. One of the hardest things to reconcile about losing Ryu was that I wouldn't be able to do certain things with him anymore. We couldn't watch the newest cours of anime, we couldn't talk about the fact that Bayonetta actually got a sequel, or that I finally managed to finish all of the Final Fantasy XI achievements before he did. In the same way, that feeling of missing out on the unknown future is what breaks me down to my core. It is highly likely that we'll never see all of those incredible people in the same room together in the same way, and the world is worse off because of it. That really applies to Rooster Teeth as a whole as well. I've always been more of a Funhaus fan that RT in general, but I really can't understate how incredible the talent at Funhaus always was.
I'm sure everyone wanted to, over the years, work at Funhaus because they liked the cast, or they thought being a YouTuber was a glamorous job. Some might even go so far as to say it was their dream to work there. I am one of those people. But, I literally mean it was my dream. For as long as I can remember, I have had extremely vivid dreams of just working at Funhaus. Not necessarily being on camera, not even like doing a gameplay. I mean I would dream about sitting down at a computer and getting instructions on how to edit a video. Or, I'd be interviewing for a position to intern/help out. I'd be in different offices throughout the years, answering emails, creating production schedules, just interfacing with everyone as if they were my co-workers. In fact, just this past Saturday I had one of these dreams. Probably from realizing that the 10th was everyone's actual last day. But I showed up, and talked to James about an edit on the "final video". We compared notes, and then him, Bruce, and Patrick all walked out together singing a Tenacious D song as they shut the doors to the studio. (Look, I didn't say they always made sense.)
Again, I know there's a certain level of, "You don't actually know these people," at play here. And I'll readily admit that we don't know each other from... uh.... Eve. But, that never mattered to me. Sure, I always thought, maybe if I could get a job there and prove myself that a natural camaraderie would develop like any good workplace. But that didn't matter to me as much as just being part of something. I ardently believe that the Funhaus crew are some of the most talented entertainers to ever put their likeness to video. In the same way, that someone might want to act alongside Tom Cruise or be in a Steven Spielberg movie, I wanted to work with Funhaus. In 2021, when I turned 30, I wrote down a list of "30 people in my 30s" that I had aspirations to do something with in terms of media creation. Despite not having watched them in some time, Funhaus was still top of my list.
So, I'm sorry. I'm truly deeply sorry. I'm sorry that I fell of watching the videos. (The grand tragic irony is that when I heard the news about the shutdown, I started watching the newest videos and was laughing just like old times.) That I wasn't there in the trenches when things were roughest. That I wasn't able to, in the only way a random viewer can, support the channel and the people within, in the same way y'all had (unknowingly) done for me for years prior. I know that a single view probably doesn't make a difference in the grand scheme of how thing shook out. But I can't help but feel some complicity in the declining view count. I know people move on from projects, or they morph over time, but I truly wished I could've tuned into the channel decades from now and still heard the comforting voices that had become so familiar.
I don't really have a great way to end this section of the post. If you've read through all of this it probably means you're either taking massive dump and you're hitting your second flush right now, or some of these sentiments resonate with you too. In either case, I thank you for affording me the opportunity to express my thoughts and feelings here. To any past/present/future Funhaus employee who might see this, thank you so much for all you've done for people over the past decade plus of entertaining. If I can oblige just a few more moments of your time, I wanted to speak directly to each of you as a final expression of my adoration and thankfulness.

It took me a while to truly understand how much of the backbone of the channel you were. Throughout the years, you always challenged the way I thought about comedy and how to make things funny. You were constantly one-upping yourself with the way you crafted your humor. This, coupled with your deep sincerity, loyalty, and strength of character always made me think you'd be the "last one out". Thank you so much for all of your work on Funhaus, thank you for Talking Stalkings, for Arizona Circle, and for everything else. Thank you for answering my tweet about a limited-time "Sonic Makeup line" that allowed me to enshrine myself in some small way in Funhaus lore. Your ending stream speech touched my heart deeply, and I hope that you are able to take some time to yourself before find the next big thing. (Obviously, steaks.) I still have hope that one day I'll be afforded the opportunity to work with you on something.

I also want to thank you for being the only reason I could convince my wife to ever watch a Funhaus video. She adores you and thinks you're so funny. Having you come on finally allowed me to share a small part of Funhaus with her and for that I'll be forever grateful. I'd also be remiss to not include one of my favorite anecdotes. After you joined, we were talking and I mentioned that you and James were married, and my wife asked, "Which one is he again?" I pulled up a picture and she replies, "Oh, the hot one. That's my girl."

The ending to Star Boys was incredible and watching you and Rahul quote the entirety of three movies at once another will always be something I treasure. One day, I hope you can school me on some Gundam lore.
u/FHBruce - I know you've moved on, but not only were you an integral part of my formative Funhaus experiences, but there's something I've always wanted to tell you. In your "Goodbye" video, there's a section where everyone is describing your management style and how you led the team during your run at FH. When that video dropped I immediately sent my manager at the time the section where Omar is talking about your leadership. That whole portion of the video I have maintained is how I think everyone should talk about their leaders, and is something that I strive to work towards in my own personal job currently. I know that is but the smallest window into your management style, but it's pushed me to be a better overall leader. So thank you.

I mentioned above that you talking about Bruce in his goodbye video was inspirational. In having watched all of the current "goodbye" content, and the way that everyone has talked about you since, I hope it's not too out of line to say that I think you've probably embodied those exact same principles in your leadership. Again, I have only what I'm seeing externally to go on, but from the way people talk about you, to the emotions you've worn on your sleeves during the shutdown, I believe that you're an awesome person to work for and with.

"Hey dude you remind me of my dead friend so that's part of why I got into Funhaus," is maybe the worst first sentence I've ever spoken to someone in real life. So again, I'm terribly sorry. But I also want to say how awesome it was to watch all the stuff you did over the years at Funhaus. I know from still watching your content now that there's some level of grime that covers those years and they aren't the fondest to look back on. But I do think things like Time 2 Hakk, Quintessential Gamer, Hard Nettin' were such touchstones of Funhaus content that will live on forever. From an outside perspective, it seems like you're doing well, and I'm excited to keep seeing you on BYTT and IGv3(4?).

I have a file in my notes app called "Real Life Stories" where I have a few words that trigger a specific memory from my life about some absurd happenstance that I found myself in. Then, I watched a smattering of other content and realized you're the perfect foil in nearly every video. I'm so excited to see that both of you and Jacob have started up your goblin activities. Zach, I'm sorry I missed your true FH run. I was supremely stoked (and unfortunately subsequently saddened) as a fellow games industry person to see you rocking out on CoD socials. Second, I completely missed the entirety of y'all's FH run and that sucks. Rick, I saw your work on the finale stream with the climax of what I assume to be an astoundingly good FH Wrestling show that I fully plan on watching in it's entirety. But I know that each of you contributed your talents, time, and effort to creating content on the channel and for that I'm forever grateful. I'm sure that as I (re)watch everything it will make me feel even more foolish for the time I missed out on.
I think that's every on camera person from the entire run. I've been writing for *checks clock* five hours now, so I'm going to feel like a real chump if there's some sort of glaring omission from this list. I also had originally wanted to see if I could track down a list of all the editors, interns, and other employees throughout the years that were either never on camera or only on there briefly, but I couldn't find a cohesive enough list that felt "right", so I'll just dedicate this final paragraph to everyone else that has ever contributed to this behemoth undertaking. No matter how "small" a part you may have played, it all worked toward a common pursuit that has impacted millions of people's lives over the course of a decade. I'm so thankful for everyone who ever walked through those doors and sat down to work on Funhaus.

Was curious if anyone here has tried some mushrooms or lsd with epilepsy or similar neurological symptoms.
I’ve had mushrooms twice about 1g the first time. Made me wanna dance all night. 3.5g for the second time and wondered the beach for an eternity (was really cool).
I’ve tried lsd twice. Micro the first and walk aqua team hunger force all night. Tried about a 1/4 tab the second time and walked through around a zoo. (that was an experience. lol)
During all of these, I was experiences waves of nostalgia passing over by body. Every so often a memory would pop up like going to rent a movie at Hollywood Video as a kid or standing in the back of Sears in the shopping mall that now closed. However I primarily just felt the feelings of nostalgia vs reliving memories.
Has anyone else with epilepsy or similar neurological symptoms tried mushrooms or lsd? What was your experience like?

I was in 9th grade, bands like Duran Duran, Culture Club, & Van Halen were at the top of the charts. A friend and I decided to ditch school for a day and head up to the mall. We paid to see "Footloose" and got huge tubs of extra buttery popcorn and giant sized Cokes and candy bars. After Footloose, we snuck into "Repo Man". I still remember my shoes sticking to the floor from spilled pop... Then we headed over to Sears where they had a small arcade. I must have dropped 100 quarters into Donkey Kong, Pacman and Defender. At B Dalton bookstore i remember finding the "good parts" of Lady Chatterly's Lover by DH Lawrence. Then all over the mall, including the doors that lead behind stores that said employees only! LOL
Of course the school called my parents and I got my behind tanned when i got home, but that was my "Ferris Bueller Day". Goodbye lakeside, I am truly sorry to see you go!

Hello everyone I work in retail and I initially took up a retail job because it is an easy way to find a job and make some money as I am currently working to pursue a postgraduate degrees in social work and as a Behavior technician. I also went into retail because I just LOVE shoes and sneakers from Nike to Poizon to Vans to Jordan’s to more formal shoes like Marcenelo shoes that I see on Instagram. I am planning on doing digital marketing as well and want to make digital marketing along with retail work I do as a second job that I work part time in the future from 2 to 3 days in a week (most likely 2 days in a week) while I work maybe part time or full time as a social worker and RBT as well. I currently work a job at a retail store like Men’s Wearhouse and Jos. A Bank that sells more formal clothing like suits, suit vests, blazers, and tuxedos and I personally love it. I’m just looking for a store that sells all of this along with all sorts of sneakers as well. I looked up online and it looks like stores like Macy’s, Nordstrom at the mall, Sear, or Belk May sell all clothing like that but I could be wrong and correct me if need be. Let me know because after some years of working at my present job I would like to move to a new store that sells everything I mentioned and work there part time hopefully between multiple states as i am looking to do travel retail work as well (don’t let this confuse you, answering the question should be your main objective).

Someone recently asked what was happening in the old BonTon at Park City, which made me curious about the lower level old Sears, Sears Auto Center, and Pier One building. Has anyone heard any rumors about these? What would you like to see at Park City? Do people still go to Park City?
EDIT: Someone commented that my questions were "just to stir the pot". I lived/raised a family in Lititz for 25 years and still have many friends and family there, whom I visit. I hope that's enough context for the person who commented. While I realize shopping malls are not the draw that they once were, it seems a shame to let this one go down the toilet when as others have noted, it has the infrastructure to support multiple businesses in one location. My questions are sincere and hopefully inspiring to anyone who might be making decisions about its future.

I remember lining up outside Sears to meet Darth Vader and get a free autographed picture. I'm thinking it must have been 1980 or '81.

Sorry for the clickbait title but it really fits my recollection perfectly here. In the 1970’s thru about 2010, malls were the place to go for clothes. My family shopped for clothes at our local mall quite often, from the late 90’s and on.
The big name stores like Macys, Dillards, Sears, JC Pennys, etc... all had extensive clothing departments. I used to go with my wife clothes shopping, I actually enjoyed going to the mall to people watch and get lunch in the food court.
My wife seemed to have difficulty finding good bras sometimes, so when she found a good ladies lingerie /bra department she always went there, for years . It was in a quiet corner, upstairs, in one of the big name department stores very common in malls of the day. In that department was an older woman who was in charge of stocking that area and running the cash register. I’ll call her Betty.
Betty was about 50 or 60 years old by appearances. She was always the only one working in the lingers/bra department and she was like a queen in her kingdom. She was there every time, and for many years. Betty seemed to enjoy her work and was always helpful.
As the years went by, there were less and less people coming to this local mall. By 2010 smaller local malls across the country were closing due to online sales and huge mega malls opening in bigger cities that had more upscale options. So by 2015 or so, the department store in the mall that Betty worked at for so many years closed its doors for good. The mall itself closed a few years later. It’s now being torn down for apartments.
I sometimes wonder what ever happened to Betty. She lived for her job, it seemed like, she was always happy and had her own little kingdom in that store. I’m sure she was quite upset when they closed. It probably changed her life profoundly. What did all the mall workers do when the doors closed for good?
