I posted on here before that my sister Mellissa losing her kids she has 7 in total katelynne is 19 kay din is 13 Lillianna is 11 Miracle is 6 zanders are 8 and Ransom and Rytheme are 2 years old today is their birthday the whole problem started in 2019 when Melissa found her old crush from school his name is Aron.
Aron and Melissa are dating i knew from day one I didn't like him he was controlling in my eyes all he ever did was tell Melissa what to do I noticed this when we all gathered at my sister Jessica's house early for Christmas since she wouldn't be in town
Jessica is married to a Mexican who I adore his name is Andres so normally every other Christmas and summer she would go with her son to Mexico to spend time with his family we were having a good time until he began texting and calling Melissa
he had been living with her that next year in 2020 we found out some disturbing things Melissa didn't want to get pregnant again so she had an IUD inserted in her arm to prevent her from getting pregnant what Aron would do was squeeze her arm to break the IUD so he can get her pregnant
In April of 2020, I moved into my sister's house i was previously living with my mom under her landlord's radar until I got accused of stealing clothes which is ridiculous and then I got banned so I moved into my oldest sister's Jessica house
Just a few days after moving in my sister Jessica came into my room and told me that Aron had beat up Melissa and it was bad she had bruises and gashes all over her from her beating on her and DCFS had gotten involved
DCFS told her that if she did not get rid of Aron she would have no choice but to take her kids away because of what happened his kids also displayed abuse his son was violent and his daughter would sit there and watch as Zander who is Autisic was getting dressed disturbing
Then in May of 2021 Ransom and Rytheme were born Ransom was born with Cleft feet while Rytheme was normal but Aron's control over her got worse during this time we got calls from the kids more and more often asking for Jessica to come to get them because they were scared
Aron and Melissa were fighting again Melissa was also an alcoholic so they would fight when they were mostly drunk is when the fights they both wanted to run the household when it should have been Melissa since it was her house
Then 2022 started we did not hear much of Melissa leading up to this year she came over on Christmas and it seemed she was still under his control she would pick up immediately after he would call this worried us because she was pregnant
January nothing February nothing then March happened Kaydon her 12 year old called us saying Melissa was drinking again and that he found an empty vodka bottle in her trash can we told him to tell his bio dad stevie and Stevie told her case worker
this was March 2nd of 2022 that year was very eventful if you ask me multiple false police calls from her on us threats from Aron stalking us because he didn't like that we had his kids and multiple false reports to DCFS from her about us citing that we were abusing the kids
all reports came back unfounded of the course she also posted on Facebook slandering Jessica saying that she always wanted her to have her kids taken away which wasnt true she had gotten her kids taken away and then we had to immediately find babysitters for the babies
Jessica worked so did Andres and I and Jessica had a deal when I moved in that i didn't have to babysit if I didn't want to as you can tell babysitting 2 infants a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old autistic child was not an easy thing to do
At first, our babysitter Brooklyn just quit babysitting Zander saying his meltdowns were way to much and then she quit watching the babies so i took over it was from April- to October of 2022 in between that time I had given a lot of my time up to babysitting i never got a day off
on top of making sure I fed and changed the babies while making sure the older kids got to bed on time I had to also clean the house and this was proven to be too stressful on me the fact Jessica's son Zion would always contradict me this would lead to fights we had
In August of 2022, they went on vacation for 6 days and this was a saving grace for me since i got 6 whole days to myself in September of 2022 I had gotten into a fight with Zion her husband was supposed to be off that day but he went somewhere with the older kids
so it was just me Zion and the babies Zion wanted to watch tv i said no he tried to snatch the remote from me and a fight happened the fight got so heated because he kept trying to follow me around if i went into the kitchen where he was the livingroom there he was the bathroom there he was
Finally, i went outside and he tried grabbing me until the neighbor came out he then went inside and locked me out of the house twice once back inside I yelled WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU, YOU DONT HAVE A RIGHT TO LOCK ME OUT AND THERE ARE BABIES IN THE HOUSE!!!" he then shoved me so I called Jessica
Jessica sped home and she laid it on him thick saying that she was taking his game until he learned to keep his hands off of me Andres came just in time to see him try and put his hands on Jessica and he beat up Zion Jessica had to pull him off of Zion
the next two months he just went on walks until his mom would be home until October I was putting all the same colors of play dough in the same container and my vape was by the tv so I could just grab it and go outside he purposely knocked it to the ground
I asked him about it and he blamed the 5-year-old for it but there were 2 problems to this story 1 -I had it scooted back to where the 5-year-old couldn't reach the vape and 2- the 5-year-old is smarter than most and knows not to touch it
this is when the final fight happened Andres had already left for work and Jessica was already at work I didn't want to fight with him so I told him to stop but he didn't want to be kept it up he started following me around the house but this time I chose to ignore I got hungry
so I went to grab a knife and a potato so I could cut up a potato i can make myself a baked potato and he grabbed a knife of his own this made me feel threatened so I called Jessica no answer i texted Jessica no answer so then I tried his andres I called him no answer I texted him no answer this was after I told the older kids to go to the playroom
after no answer, I called the police the police came Zions Dimbass went outside with the knife to talk to the police I told the officer what happened and he told his side of the story too not long after they left Jessica came home instead of her yelling at Zion for starting a fight she yelled at me
so the next day Jerry told me he wanted me to come to the hills and talk to him and at the same time I felt like she was going to make me move out she said she would pick Melissa's kids over me every time which upset me
so I went and got papers for Indian Hills and signed them she tried to backtrack as soon as DCFS said it was unfounded but I told her I did not want to babysit anymore so she had Stevie and Jen babysit This only lasted a month so November thru December
after they quit it was Ricky Katenynnes boyfriend who babysat Kateynee came now and then to help out but she had her job and Ricky did not follow any rules Jessica had some strict rules when it came to ways to babysit the baby
such as cleaning up the mess and not vaping around the babies if one of the kids is sick keeping them away from the babies and letting the babies sleep whenever they wanted Jessica didn't want them sleeping past 5 pm so they would have a sleep schedule
After Ricky quit due to him accusing Zion of looking up porn on the internet on one of the kid's tablets and being told that maybe he was the one doing it then Jessica tried to pressure me into babysitting again even though in October we sat down in the kitchen and i told her how I felt
then she told me she understood the deal we made and that the only time that she would ask me to babysit was for school stuff and doctor appointments and when she went to the boat that's what she calls the casino so she had to quit her job at the restraint so that she didn't have to worry
January and February we were living off of food pantries and behind on bills then mom mentioned on Addus and working for Travis and so she signed up went to orientation and now she works for Travis
now for the update :
last day of court was today and they told Melissa she will not be getting her kids back She is back on medicine and she is doing her classes but the one thing she was not doing was accepting the fact that it was Aron who got her kids taken

Recently there have been a lot of posts downplaying humans in versus battles. Claiming silly things like humans would lose to Goku, or humans wouldn’t be able to kill the Hulk just by outsmarting him. I’ve made this post to try and set the record straight with a full powerscaling of the Humanverse.
Strength
How strong is a human? We know a few things about the Humanverse: An “ant” is described as a six-legged monster capable of lifting 50 times its own bodyweight. It’s also considered a fodder-tier enemy to humans and other creatures, to the extent that millions of ants can be killed at a time even by an unskilled human.
Humans have a power where whenever they lift something or perform any physical activity they get slightly stronger. This can happen even through casual activities outside of a dedicated training arc. To give an idea of how fast a human can power up, in the event known as “boxing” humans often fight for multiple rounds within the span of an hour. It's not uncommon for humans to perform differently in different rounds, indicating there must have been a rapid change in their power levels because we all know that the stronger character always wins the fight. Now you must remember that humans live over 80 years frequently, so (using a low estimate) if the human only lifts things once per day, and only gets 1% stronger each time, they would be 1.53E+126 times as strong after 80 years of training because of EXPONENTS. In reality, we should expect it to be higher since humans can train multiple times per day.
It is said that humans could destroy their planet by accident with their lifestyles. In particular, it was stated in-universe that too many human babies could destroy their own Earth. A human baby scales to planetary level, possibly scaling up to universe level and beyond as they grow older.
Durability
Humans are able to survive attacks from other humans, which implies a high level of durability in itself since humans are universe busters. Even a young human can survive attacks from a very old human.
We get excerpts that suggest that humans are only considered dead when their brain dies, which suggests that humans can regenerate from just a brain. Furthermore, even attacking a human brain doesn’t cause them to necessarily die. There are cases of humans surviving attacks that destroy large parts of their brain, so really it might be necessary to annihilate a human’s body entirely to kill them.

Artillery is basically a gun but even bigger, so if we scale up the speed it means that humans are actually hypersonic in reaction and dodging speeds.
But remember, we don’t know how fast sound travels in the Humanverse. It’s said that when a human does something, it’s possible for one on the other side of the planet to hear about it in moments via technology. This is a gazillion times faster than sound normally travels, which means humans are faster-than-faster-than-hypersonic which I don’t know what that is so I’m just gonna say fuck it and put light speed.
Even if we ignore the speed of sound scaling, humans also frequently dodge cameras which do operate at light speed. There's no such thing as aim-dodging, fuck you. Now remember this is a base human without any powerups, so really we should expect a human after 20 years of training to be massively FTL.
Outerversal and Higher?
We haven’t even gotten to the juicy part yet. It turns out that human scientists discovered their universe is made of 11-dimensional objects, under a discovery they called “M-Theory”. What this implies is that humans are 11-dimensional entities. According to dimensional scaling, this means that any character with less than 11 dimensions may as well be a flat piece of paper to humans.
This may not make sense at first, since humans frequently claim to be 3 dimensional. However, clearly they’re just talking from their own perspective - and besides, downscaling doesn’t exist so we should take the higher number to be an immutable fact.
Individual humans are capable of creating fictional universes, giving them outerversal status at bare minimum. They are furthermore capable of creating characters that are themselves outerversal with the same creating power, yet are unable to affect humans in their world. Take the following scan:

How do y’all feel about the $10.99 shipping costs?
I always see people selling items that are pretty small and/or lightweight but have a shipping cost of $10.99. I sell on depop and all my shipping costs no matter what the item is never more than a M “parcel size” because I’m not making the $$ for the shipping so I try and do what I can for the customer; for me personally it just doesn’t make sense to drive away customers by having an outrageous shipping cost for money they will never see. Maybe somebody can help me understand and make this make sense. I just didn’t feel like “arguing” about this given that it still only came out to a total of $26 and obviously they were super polite and is shipping it out fast so can’t complain too much. (Also the listing had been up for a month)

IATA ???? Claire and I have been best friends for almost 7 years. we met in college while both being premed. I was able to get into medical school on my first try while she tried over 3 times without success and works in insurance now. She got engaged to her boyfriend as she was trying to apply to medical school for a 4th time. By then I was ending my second year of medical school and about to start my third year of medical school. Unfortunately, also during this time my then serious live in boyfriend(who was also a medical student) of 2 years died unexpectedly in an accident. I was devastated.
Claire was very supportive at first, but very quickly started to pull away from me and only wanted to talk to me about her wedding. She was always busy when I tried to make plans and was away during my Birthday, and even told me she could not be around me while I was grieving because she needed to keep her life going and plan a wedding and I was making her too sad. She spent this entire year preparing her wedding, I was one of the bridesmaids, and she multiple times showed concern that I was not as involved in the wedding preparations or responding to emails as quickly as she would have liked. One time while drunk during her bachelorette she called me a bitch for not responding to emails quickly, later denying she had any recollection of calling me that. I didn’t mean to not respond quickly It was a combinations of multiple things. Her sister was made of honor and I had a pretty busy 80 hrs per week schedule and could not answer 20 emails per week about approving the menu for the bachelorette dinner or if I preferred shorts versus pants Pijamas, or to choose what colors I wanted to wear. Looking back at it now it would have taken only a few seconds to respond but at the time I was so overwhelmed with school, studying for boards and my own personal grieving that responding to an email about choosing between lilac and violet for the bridesmaids dresses felt like a huge task. I made this clear to her and told her look I can’t be as involved in the planning but I would be happy to go along with anything you want or your sister chooses. Despite all of this I helped her picked her dress and went to multiple appointments with her and also Attended and paid my way to Her bachelorette. Even though I was a broke medical student. All the bridesmaids had a plus one for the wedding. I was planning on bringing my sister but she had a last minute work commitment she couldn’t get out off. Claire told me she preferred if I didn’t bring anyone she knew but didn’t invite to her wedding, but I explained to her that I was actually scared of going to her wedding alone, and at this point we had a lot of mutual friends so my options were limited. And she mostly invited other couples so most of our single friends/acquaintances were off limits. I was still grieving and I was afraid I would burst into tears. I made it clear that I was happy for her wedding but it was also very triggering since we both had started dating our respective partners at the same time and moved in together at the same etc, and while she was getting engaged I had to grieve the death of mine. She accused me of being jealous of her. I tried to explain to her it wasn’t jealousy but grief because attending a wedding was very triggering for me. She gave me the option of not attending her wedding if it was that hard. I told her that I felt I could attend if I could bring a plus one for support. Since she did not want me to bring someone she knew but didn’t invited to the wedding, I brought a very old childhood friend of mine that I had become closer with during the last year. He had reached out when he heard the news of my boyfriend passing away and for the last year had been checking on me regularly. We had always been good friends and he had gotten divorce during the same time so we started to talk often and support each other. He offered to fly in and be my plus one if I didn’t have anyone to come with (he lived across the country at that time) Claire made it clear that she was also not not happy with me having a plus one that she didn’t know and told me that I could bring him as long as I should be aware that I could not cater to my date since I had bridesmaid responsibilities that day. I assure her it would not be a problem.
I missed the rehearsal dinner the prior night because I had a medical school test that afternoon and then had to drive 5 hours to the wedding site I told her about this in advance. Didn’t make it until midnight. I woke up bright and early and went to the bridal suite. Had breakfast and hung out with the other bridesmaids for a bit. I then went back to my room to get ready and shower and this took maybe a couple of hours. When I arrive to the bridal suite she was getting her make up done and was clearly upset, she spent the entire rest of the evening upset and giving me the cold shoulder. I thought it was just nerves. The wedding ended and I headed back home and I texted her to thank her for everything etc. And also to apologize for not being as involved with the planning as I would have liked. She responded by accusing me of being jealous of her for getting married and purposely trying to sabotage her wedding. She accused me of making up a fake medical school exam and arriving to her wedding early but refusing to attend the rehearsal dinner, she also accused me of taking too long to get ready purposefully to avoid her and hanging out with my date way too much instead of the bridal party. She then Told me I used her wedding as an excuse to have a fling instead of focusing on her. And she then told me I had a lot of personal work to do and I have fucked up priorities in life.I tried to explain to her than none of those things happened and I have no idea where is getting all those conclusions , to no avail. She is no longer talking to me and blocked me from all social media. Worth to notice I have tried to reach out and nothing. And I heard from a mutual friend she did not get into medical school again and her now husband prohibit her from trying a fifth time since it was a huge financial strain and he wants to focus on having a family. AITA for not being a more involved bridesmaid and bringing a plus one or is she being unreasonable? I had never had this happened before with a friend. One of my other really close medical school friends is getting married next month and I am also a bridesmaid and I have had none of these issues with her.

Big Updates soon to the Hospital

In a meeting organized by Governor Jerry Callow, it was announced all the upcoming items/changes to the Hospital.Here are some notes:

  • Doctors might be getting their panic buttons;
  • EMS/Docs are getting bags to help with meds that will help overloaded inventory;
  • Stretchers;

  • According to Jerry Callow, a pay raise is underway as well.
Ketamine Delivery
Packages of Ketamine were set to be delivered from the docks, to the Hospital. However, in the middle of its route, the shipment was stolen by several Marabunta members. Bail Reform - Section 004 General Conditions of Bail and Parole
The legislation pertaining to bail and/or parole has been fully rewritten, including (1) the removal of automatic bail, (2) an increase in the initial bond percentage payment (10% to 20%), (3) a lowering of bail amounts, and (4) the addition of "advanced" parole conditions when more serious offenses are alleged, among other changes.
There is an expectation the bail may be granted frequently as the accused in a court of law are presumed innocent until their guilt is proven before a court of law. However, more serious uniform conditions are required where more heinous offenses are alleged with probable cause. Full, re-written code.‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
‎ Section 003 of the San Andreas Parking Code has been amended to include the following:
‎ ‎ State Occupation Vehicles:
State Occupation Vehicles (mechanic vans, tow trucks, sanitation trucks, etc.) shall be exempt from the Motor Vehicle Offenses and Citations and the State of San Andreas Parking and Motor Vehicle Code while reasonably carrying out the functions of their occupation.
‎ ‎ Section 011 Commercial Drivers Licenses has been amended:
Reducing the points required for license suspension from four (4) to three (3).
  • Gavin Joy has been promoted to the rank of Supreme Justice within the DOJ.
With this promotion, Article 1 of the Constitution has been amended to allow for 4 Supreme Justices, instead of 3.

I started taking photos in 2011, I was working as a company grip on George Lucas’ “Red Tails” and met Philip Bloom. Philip was working as a cinematographer specializing in DSLR videography. While I was having a conversation on set with him, he mentioned that the canon t2i had the same sensor as the 7d that we were using for principal photography and that they only cost $699. I went and bought one that weekend. I still have it. My 3 year old son uses it with the 18-200 kit lens as his learner now.
I take photographs as an attempt to tell a story in a single frame. Working on motion pictures has trained me in the complexity of telling stories at 24 frames per second. I am focused on learning composition as a single frame storyteller so that when I decide to shoot a motion picture film, I will be able to draw on that understanding. Though, admittedly, most of my photography these days is focused on documenting my two young children.
This photo was a spur of the moment decision. It was during a commercial we were shooting for Siggi’s Yogurt. I was watching a set dresser skim the duckweed off the pond with the paddle of the canoe and I realized that if I ran down to the edge of the water and got my placement right on his next paddle back, I might be able to get him centered in the pond with the atmosphere from the smoke machine playing behind him. This was the first frame on a roll of Kodak Gold 200.
I have a lab do all of my film these days. When I was starting out, I would tank develop my 4x5 B&W, but after I ruined a batch that were photos of my cousin by using developer that was fully saturated, I haven’t trusted myself to do it since. I’ve had the good fortune to use Underdog Film Lab in Oakland, California, primarily for the last couple of months and I highly recommend them.
My friend who I have known for twenty years dragged me to the local camera shop and twisted my arm into buying a 4x5 technika and enough equipment to sink develop at home using rodinal with 320TXP and developing to completion. Using that process, we got low contrast negatives that had a very high latitude and could be shot at 800iso allowing for some creative choices not often associated with large format, such as higher shutter speeds and more candid photography. I was hooked. I have since picked up two pentax 67 SLRs and a Deardorff v8 8x10.
It’s hard to choose just one piece of equipment, but my favorite combination would be the Deardorff v8 8x10 camera combined with E100 or Provia 100F and one of the focal combinations of my Cooke XVa set. I’m particularly fond of the two rear elements. In combination, they produce a 273mm lens which is slightly wider than normal for that format. Some of the images I’ve made using this kit are truly stunning. The other piece of my kit that I can’t forget to mention are my two Pentax 67s and 90mm f2.8. I love the focal length and quality of that lens. I have a 75mm f2.8 that I use seldomly but it’s also a nice one. I no longer care for the 105mm f2.4 since the slightly telephoto optical group is a little masculine for my style of portraiture and slightly too tight for the landscapes I find myself shooting on that format.
I think everyone who shoots film or who wants to be serious about their digital photography should get comfortable and confident using a spot meter. The way I use mine is to decide in the moment exactly what in my frame I would like to be represented as neutral grey. Then spot that object and set my camera to that reading. If I am using it to spot meter a person, it’s very important to realize that the meter doesn’t care what skin tone you are attempting to represent, it will give you a reading to make that skin tone neutral grey. So it is important to decide what zone that person should represent and then compensate accordingly. Alternatively, carrying an actual grey card to spot meter in place of the subject will help you achieve an exposure reflecting reality.
I have an Instagram account that is mostly populated with images of my family, but it’s all film. I post my work there primarily. Eventually I will put up a portfolio, but my 3 year old and 9 month old sons keep me busy.
I am a huge fan of both Natalie Oberg and Alex Burke with the former representing a talented B&W landscape photographer and the latter representing a talented color landscape photographer.
I am a Filmmaker by trade. I see my photography as a way to become better at the job that I have devoted my professional life to mastering.
N.B. u/Blindtomusic asked if we could change the post title since they found out after referring to the negatives that the film stock was Kodak Gold 200 not Kodak E100 as originally though. I moved and had my entire system in storage. They were "kind" enough to defer payments until September of last year. When payments resumed I had all sorts of trouble.
  1. I cannot access my account to view billing or pay anything. Since whatever new update, autopay has been turned off and now they are telling me my bill is past due. My bill that I cannot see because my account is locked out. The error states I am not the admin. I am the admin and in fact dug out the old hub, connected it to wifi and CONFIRMED I AM STILL the ONLY admin and yet I have no access to billing. I have called about this multiple times and after being bounced from department to department they basically tell me they can't tell their ass from their elbow but that it "should be resolved now." Magically, of course. And, of course, it's not.
  2. I cannot opt out of text updates for carguard. So now, short of blocking the number, I am pinged literally every time any one of my two cars gets gently rocked by the wind.
  3. My account had been getting double and triple charged at all odd months instead of coming out once a month when it was supposed to. They told me there was nothing they could do. Now with this "update" and my bill being "past due" I'm sure they'll have plenty of fees slapped on when I can finally get a hold of them again.
Does anyone have any advice? I do plan on just paying off the last of my loan for this POS system and cancel them. Until then, how can I fix this? Talking to their support is like talking to a rock. They never understand what the issue is. Please, for a lil free Karma, help a fellow scam victim out.

Condition (n.b.): All pens listed below have been disassembled, cleaned and restored with new sacs installed in the last couple weeks. Each of these pens is guaranteed to fill and write as designed without leaks or other problems. Nibs have been adjusted when necessary to ensure that all lay down a smooth and consistent line.

Line Widths and Writing Samples: To provide buyers with as much information as possible, I have started to adopt the following line width standards: XXF (.1-.2mm); XF (approx .3mm); F (approx .4mm); M (approx .6mm); B (approx .8mm). Nib flexibility is determined by variation (max line width under pressure) and softness (amount of pressure). Flexibility designations based on variation generally run as follows for an XF/F nib: Semi-Flex (approx. 1mm); Flex (1.2-1.9mm); Superflex (>2mm). All line width measurements are taken with a digital caliper but should be considered approximations providing a general guide. Width may vary slightly depending on type of ink and paper used as well as amount of pressure applied. All writing samples are on Rhodia dot paper using Waterman Serenity Blue.
 
 
1. 1920s Waterman 92 1/2 (BCHR, GPT, lever filler, 14k XF Flex nib). This slender (1/2-sized) model is longer than a ring top but slightly shorter than a 52, measuring 4 3/4” capped and 6” posted. Not to be confused with the later, celluloid 92, this 92 1/2 is made of black chased hard rubber with gold-plated trim. It’s the first I’ve ever encountered. Cap came clipless from the factory (no holes drilled for a clip), but has been outfitted with a gold-plated accommodation clip. Based on its absence from US catalogues, I believe this model was made strictly for foreign export. The barrel has a Canadian imprint while the nib reads “Ideal / England,” it being a common practice for Waterman’s Canadian pens to be finished in England. That 14k nib is a Flexible writer (note change from writing sample after taking measurement. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 3B+ (approx 1.8mm) under moderate pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Thin hairlines and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it a great choice for shaded writing. Condition: fine [C]. This pen has no functional flaws but does show some use. Hard rubber is an even dark chocolate color – still much darker than the brown these can turn. Chasing is significantly yet evenly weakened across the cap and barrel. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Gold-plating on the lever has a sliver of brassing in the center and parts of the clip look tarnished, though I’m not sure this amounts to full-fledged brassing. Manufacturer imprint on barrel and number stamp on barrel end are weakened but fully legible. An affordable user and a lovely writer for those wondering at what all the fuss is about early Watermans. Price: $150
 
2. 1910s Waterman 12 Eyedropper (BCHR, German Silver clip, eyedropper filler, 14k F Superflex nib). This full-sized model measures 5 1/8” capped. This slip-cap eyedropper is made of black chased hard rubber with a rivet clip marked “German Silver” – less common than the standard nickel clips. This pen is an eyedropper. The section unscrews for the barrel to filled using an eyedroppepipette – holds far more ink than a lever filler of the same size. My usual caveats about early eyedroppers apply here. If carried, it is not uncommon to find a little ink on the nib or in the cap. Super-Flexible 14k Ideal NY #2 nib lays down a smooth and consistent F line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.5mm) under light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Easy variation and reliably wet flow over its full range of flex make it a great choice for calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian. Condition: excellent- [B-]. Hard rubber of the cap is dark black with virtually no fading but center of barrel shows fading to dark chocolate under certain lights. Chasing on cap is sharp and deep but barrel chasing is very light and only visible when the light strikes it. German Silver clip is pristine with no brassing or other notable wear. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Manufacturer imprint on barrel is weak but mostly legible while number stamp on barrel-end is all but worn away. Price: $190
 
3. c.1918 Waterman 52 (BCHR, NPT w/ Sterling Silver clip, lever filler, 14k XXF Needlepoint Superflex nib). This full-sized model measures 5 5/16” capped. A nice example of Waterman’s celebrated workhorse made of black chased hard rubber with a sterling silver Ideal accommodation clip with “Waterman’s / Made in France” stamped on one side and a hallmark that reads “GP” on the other side (DETAIL PHOTO). This pen came clipless from the factory (no holes drilled for a rivet clip). Super-Flexible 14k Ideal NY #2 nib has a needlepoint width and superb snap-back that gives it a surgically precise feel when writing. It lays down a smooth and consistent XXF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.2mm) under light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Insanely responsive snap-back, needlepoint hairlines, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it another excellent choice for calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian. Condition: excellent [B]. Hard rubber retains its dark black color with virtually no fading. Chasing is weakened a bit yet readily visible over the cap and barrel. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Manufacturer imprint on barrel is quite weak and only partly legible while number stamp on barrel-end is deep and fully legible. Price: $260
 
4. c.1918 Waterman 52 in Box (BCHR, NPT, lever filler, 14k M/B Superflex Factory Stub nib). This full-sized model measures 5 5/16” capped. This pen comes in its original factory box with 5-page pamphlet including care and filling instructions as well as other offerings from Waterman (BOX PHOTO). It’s a clean 52 made of black chased hard rubber with nickel-plated trim including earlier, wide rivet clip. 14k Ideal #2 nib is a Super-Flexible Factory Stub that manages to deliver sharp unflexed variation without compromising smoothness. Under normal pressure it lays down a smooth and consistent M/B line (approx .7mm) on the down-strokes and XF line on the cross-strokes. And the line widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.0mm) under light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE – note change in flex grade after measuring). A versatile nib whose responsive snap-back, easy variation, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it well suited to shaded notes under normal pressure and calligraphic writing styles under flex, the Stub grind keeping one’s letterforms neat and straight. Condition: excellent+ [B+]. This pen and the one below came from an estate of someone who seems to have purchased these pens, wrote with them a few times, then stowed them away in their boxes. This one is definitely collector-grade, having seen very little use. Hard rubber retains its dark black color with no discernible fading. Chasing is evenly sharp and crisp. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Manufacturer imprint on barrel and number stamp on barrel-end are deep and fully legible. Box is in sound condition with no torn ends but original owner managed somehow to burn a couple small holes in the paperwork. A boxed 52 with an uncommon nib in uncommonly clean condition. Price: $310 [ON HOLD]
 
5. c.1918 Waterman 55 in Box (BCHR, NPT, lever filler, 14k XF Flex/Superflex nib). This oversized model has a thick girth and measures 5 1/2” capped. This pen comes in its original factory box with 5-page pamphlet including care and filling instructions as well as other offerings from Waterman (BOX PHOTO). This pen is made of black chased hard rubber with nickel-plated trim including earlier, wide rivet clip. Commensurably oversized Ideal NY #5 nib yields Super-Flexible variation with Flexible softness. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.1mm) under moderate pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE – note change in flex grade after measuring). Condition: excellent+/near mint [B+]. This pen came from the same estate as the 52 above and also resembles an artifact of a time capsule. Hard rubber retains its factory black color with no discernible fading. Chasing is factory sharp and crisp. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Manufacturer imprint on barrel and number stamp on barrel-end are deep and fully legible. Box is in sound condition with no torn ends but original owner managed somehow to burn some small holes in the paperwork for this one as well. These big fellas are getting tougher to find, especially in this condition. Price: $440 [ON HOLD]
 
6. c.1921 Wahl Pen 72 (BCHR, NPT, lever filler, 14k XXF Superflex nib). This standard sized model measures 5 3/16” capped. Having purchased the assets of the Boston Fountain Pen Company, Wahl began manufacturing fountain pens in 1917. Wahl’s first pens were essentially rebranded Bostons and Tempoints (a NY company they acquired in 1918). The first full-fledged Wahls, dubbed simply “The Wahl Pen,” rolled off out of the factory in 1921. This 72 one of those pens. Its’s made of black chased hard rubber complemented by nickel-plated trim including Wahl’s patented roller-clip. The Wahl Pen is chiefly distinguished from earlier designs by its patented Wahl lever with apexed center. Super-Flexible 14k Wahl Pen #2 nib is a lovely writer. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.4mm) under light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Needlepoint hairlines, superbly responsive snap-back, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it another great choice for calligraphic writing styles. Condition: excellent/near mint [B+]. Hard rubber retains its factory black color with virtually no fading/oxidation. Chasing is factory deep and crisp with no discernible wear. Surface is smooth and lustrous with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Nickel-plated trim is exceptionally clean with no brassing or other noteworthy blemishes apart from light scratching to the clip. 7. 1910s Parker Lucky Curve 20 (smooth BHR, eyedropper filler, 14k XF/F Superflex/Wet Noodle nib). This full-sized model measures 5 5/16” capped. Parker collectors know all too well how much harder it is to find early Parker eyedroppers compared to say, Waterman 12s. This simple, utilitarian Lucky Curve eyedropper from the early teens is made of smooth, black hard rubber. Slip cap came clipless from the factory (no holes drilled for a clip). Long Lucky Curve feed is intact. This pen is an eyedropper. The section unscrews for the barrel to filled using an eyedroppepipette – holds far more ink than a lever filler of the same size. My usual caveats about early eyedroppers apply here. If carried, it is not uncommon to find a little ink on the nib or in the cap. Early 14k Lucky Curve #2 nib with teardrop breather hole yields Super-Flexible variation with softness and flow verging on that of a Wet Noodle (comparable to a soft dip pen nib). It lays down a smooth and consistent XF/F line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.4mm) under very light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Thin hairlines with a light hand, strong snap-back, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it another great choice for calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian. Condition: excellent [B]. Black hard rubber retains its factory black color apart from minor fading to a deep, dark brown on the barrel visible under certain lights. Surface is smooth and lustrous with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes aside from a group of short scratches to the left of the imprint (see imprints photo). Nib shows a small scuff here and there and a scratch on one tine that has no effect on durability or performance. 8. c.1915 Parker 16 Overlay (gold-filled over BHR, button filler, 14k XF Wet Noodle nib). Measures 4 5/8" capped and 6” posted. While Waterman overlays of this period aren't particularly common, they're far more numerous than their Parker counterparts today. Parker overlays like this one were commissioned to the George W. Heath company in New York, who is credited for some of the finer overlays on early Watermans and Conklins as well. The gold-filled filigree over this black hard rubber ringtop features an exquisitely hand-engraved Art Nouveau pattern as well as an indicia on the barrel for engraving. The pattern is the earlier, more intricate design that's more sought after than the simpler Art Deco pattern of the later 1910s-20s. Barrel overlay is stamped "Parker Fountain Pen" along with patent dates from 1891 and 1905. Pen has an Xmas tree, Lucky Curve feed and knurled blindcap unscrews to reveal brass button for filling. To fill, one simply unscrews the blind cap, submerses the nib, and depresses the brass button once. The fine workmanship of this pen is complemented by an early 14k Lucky Curve #3 nib, a scarce “Lazy S” variant with long tines. The nib is a Wet Noodle with softness, variation, and flow comparable to that of a dip pen nib. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.5mm) under minimal pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Another nib with astonishingly responsive snap-back giving it a precision feel and you maximum control over the line. Together with its thin hairlines and reliable flow over its full range of flex, this makes for an ideal choice for calligraphic writing styles. Condition: excellent+ [B+]. Overlay shows no brassing, dents, or other notable flaws aside from some pin-sized dings confined to the knurled portion around the top of the cap. Hard rubber retains its dark black color with scarcely any fading. Knurling of blind cap isn’t quite as sharp as it once was and number stamp on barrel-end is faint but legible under bright light. Campaign Idea: Echoes of the Void
System: Wrath & Glory, Tier 2 threat. Pitch: The PC's are traveling to a nearby system as members of an Inquisitor's retinue when suddenly their transport ship is dragged into the warp, and is becalmed, the gellar field flickering. It is up to the PC's to root out the saboteurs, and return the ship to real space before the vessel and all its inhabitants are lost to the gibbering minions of the chaos realms.
Story Background: The Transport voidship is home to tens of thousands of crew and their families, many of whom have lived on the ship for generations. A growing chaos cult has chosen this moment to take over the vessel, trap the ship in the warp, and sacrifice all the inhabitants to their gods. There are a number of factions and threats in the ship that the PC's will have to investigate and face in order to confront the entrenched cultists.
The Big Idea: After the introduction of the setting and some NPCs, the characters will be touring the habs when the ship lurches and alarm klaxons blare. The PC's will return to their inquisitor who informs them of the overall situation. The Inquisitor will feed information and intel to the PC's who will need to decide what threats to pursue, and when. The order and methods they use might affect further threats as they progress.
Areas and Threats:
  • Command Bridge: The captain is possessed, and both the navigator, and gellar stasis chamber have gone missing. Daemonic entities are disrupting communications and navigation systems. The PCs will need to fight possessed crew members/daemons- leading the attack, restore order, and regain control of the ship’s main functions.
  • Engineering and Boiler: A genestealer cult has quietly been using their access to the voidship to infiltrate the worlds they visit. PC's might investigate this area after hearing about the isolationist families that manage the boiler rooms, and while rarely seen, can often be heard in the ventilation ducts.
  • Medicae Bay: An enslaver capitalized on the fluctuating gellar field to latch onto a warp-sensitive medic. It is spreading its control, causing any crew and inhabitants in the area to turn into zombies. PC's might interpret this as a chaos incursion, and deal with the threat.
  • Armory: Armed gangers/cultists are assaulting the armory, and each other to gain control of the weaponry for their own use/protection. Multiple factions are fighting here, and the PC's will need to neutralize the combat before they can re-arm their own supplies.
  • The Habs: Paranoid and frightened inhabitants/crew members are being attacked by daemonic infestations caused by the weakening gellar field. PCs need to restore morale, identify and root out cultists, and protect loyal crew members from daemonic attacks.
  • Cargo Hold: The cult has gathered here to perform their ritual to either corrupt or sacrifice the navigator, and taint the dreams for the hibernating psyker creating their gellar field, allowing chaos to overtake the ship, and the cultists to gain control. PCs may follow clues found in other areas to discover the hidden Chaos ritual site, fight a daemonic herald and cultist leaders, and return the ship to normal.
Notes:
  • Each ship section would be 2-3 sessions, likely comprising some roleplay and combat. So the entire campaign would likely be about 15 sessions depending on how concerns are handled, or bypassed.
  • After the PC's clear each area the cultists will roll a skill challenge to deteriorate the gellar field. As it deteriorates the ship will begin to transform, and daemonic incursions will become more dangerous.
  • The inquisitor is an NPC, and mostly acts as the PC's "guy in the chair," but might be called on in the final act as an ally in the final fight.
  • Two other ship areas: Inquisitor Quarters and Chapel would act as safe zones for the PC's to rest & regroup.
  • There might be a few guest PC's that could take on the role of informants/tentative allies- like a harlequin who pops in and out at their convenience, or a local mutant who can serve as informant/guide

2024.05.19 21:57 My_Special_Hell My Hero Academia completely failed its non-main cast.

Midoriya, Todoroki, Bakugou and All Might get nice little endings and all (we've set to see the epilogue, but now that the antagonists are defeated, and Midoriya no longer has One For All, just like when the story began, it's pretty clear that the story is over other than epilogue stuff), but what about the rest of the cast?
lets look at the other classmates, AKA, the supporting characters of class 1-A. what resolution have they gotten..? well, none. "the story of how we all became the greatest heroes" yeah sure, whatever. I like the idea of it, but that didn't happen, not really. but well, they're all skilled, so now that the All For One and One For All are basically both dead Quirks, the future of the Quirk world does look bright for the ONE YEAR STUDENTS that will be inheriting this world from the Pros... or does it? does the world really look bright, or will those same institutions lead to the very same downfall?
lets look at the villains.
Spinner was, in the end, given the fate of some kind of extremely inappropriate, far-right interpretation of the BLM movement, and i the end, had the brain of a wild beast with little intelligence and a monstrous appearance, which comes off as the 'true nature of Heteromorphs', even though that's not true at all. nice representation of POC, Horikoshi. you portrayed black people as horrifying idiotic monsters. like what?? he had multiple Quirks put in him, so he's most certainly dead, if the brain damage didn't make that obvious enough. that sucks. and having Rock Lock, a BLACK MAN be the one watch his fate is just so insulting.
Toya is burned to pieces. I wanna say they'll find a way to heal him, but at the very least, his nerves are probably all burned. He'll be lucky if anything jaw and below can move anymore if he DOES live. and then what? instead of rehabilitating him, they'll throw him in Tartarus like every other problem child, refusing to give him any help. At most, Endeavour will be able to use his Number 1 Hero status to force the government to let him and his family visit him once a month at most. oh joy.
Himiko Toga, the little girl who functions as a neurodivergent + queer allegory in the story who, after some amazing development with Uravity.. has been set up so that she'll have to (likely already has) killed herself in order to save Uraraka with her blood.. great, just great. rest in peace the most well written female character in the entire story.
Shigaraki is dead. he never got to conquer his groomer. by the time he realized what he wanted, it was too late. he faded away into nothing. the institution that failed him is still there. the government is going to be praised for all that's happened by the Heroes' hands and the Heroes themselves couldn't even save one sad, scared little boy who was used for the wills of an older man till the very end. rest in peace the best written male character in the story.
so, none of these characters who deserve justice ever got justice. at most, they were redeemed right before they died. what the hell is Horikoshi trying to say about abuse victims? "they'll turn out evil in the end, and before they get the chance to turn over a new leaf, they'll kill hundreds then die, making their lives worthless in the first place. hopefully things will improve in the future for the oppressed, oh well." OH, THANKS HORIKOSHI. truly the uplifting message that superheroes teach us: you can't save anyone, even when in the end, they're screaming, begging to be saved. so beautiful. I'm glad to know that all the best characters in your story couldn't be saved, couldn't be redeemed, couldn't be helped and then released into society again.. in the end, the black and white notion of 'heroes and villains' wins over, and the government and military who violate hundreds of conventions every day (this is explicitly stated in universe, too) are our friends! just great! :D
I fell in love with this series as a kid back in 2016 when the anime season 1 came out. this ending sucks. all I can hope is that the epilogue finds a way to bullshit the plot into Toya and/or Toga surviving and getting to live a happy, stable life in society again. but that probably isn't going to happen. (I'll be very happy if I get to eat my words).

(as of the May 19, 2024 version of Fortnite Festival – standard controllers only)
Why this Matters:
Having improper calibration settings can adversely affect your enjoyment of Fortnite Festival, but unfortunately, the built-in tool for calibration is sub-par for actually getting your calibration right. Moreover, everyone’s audio, visual, and gaming equipment setup is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all setting that can be universally applied. One must spend the time and effort to get the calibration settings correct in order to turn missed notes into “Good” hits…and “Good” hits into “Perfect” hits.
But how does one do that? A frustrating fact is that the results of a song’s gameplay session give you data about your A) note hitting accuracy and B) your offset (early or late)… but many people don’t know how to apply this information to make the right kinds of adjustments. This guide attempts to help players do that in a systematic way.

What Exactly is Being Calibrated?
The game has an interplay between three things:
1) What you see on your screen
2) What you hear when the music is playing, and
3) Your button presses
Ideally all of these line up, which is the whole point of calibration. The game registers a “hit” note when it receives the button press at the same time as the falling note gem hits the very button of the screen at the same time. So, theoretically, you could play Fortnite Festival with the audio off and just simply concentrate on hitting the notes when they hit the bottom of the screen, and simply ignore the song.
But who wants to do that? No one!
The whole fun of the game is HEARING the music and pressing the button at the same time you HEAR the note in time with the music. That is why this is called a “rhythm game” not a “visual note dropping button pressing game”
So, the game registers “hit” notes based on the falling gem, but your brain registers its own “hit” when it hears the beat of the music, and both are tied together with a button press – e.g. you press the button when you hear the beat, and that button press should also be at the same time the note gem hits the bottom.
If all is properly calibrated, then everything flows perfectly and you have a fantastic groove session with most notes being hit or missed based on your SKILL, and NOT a mismatch between the audio, visual and button input.
So how do we get there? Read on…

Step 1: Have the Tune-up Roadie Help You
In the organ lobby, do the in-game calibration using the Roadie. She will not give you the best settings, but the thing is, we need somewhere to start from and this is as good a place as any. Do your best and don’t worry about whether the settings are any good – we’re going to fix this all later.
As you take the steps below, you will change the track speed, A/V offset, or Input Offset in the settings screen (accessible in the organ lobby, results screen, or during a song itself).

Step 2: Get Your Video Settings Right First and Foremost
Now, the FIRST thing to calibrate is make sure that a note hitting at the bottom during a song seems like it is truly hitting the bottom at the same time as the beat of music. But this is kinda hard to do with the naked eye. It also requires you to still play the notes so you can see when the note light “flashes” when it actually gets to the bottom The best way to really see if this visual component looks right is by cranking up the track speed as high as you can as you’re playing a song.
“But Mad Dog” you say, “I can’t play a song with 2.5x track speed to do this - it’s too fast” No problem – what you will do here is play a song that meets the following criteria:
  1. You know it really, really well
  2. It has a DRUM element that is around 1, 2 or 3 bars (in other words, relatively straightforward patterns)
  3. You play it on a difficulty level that is not beyond your capability (ideally you can get 100% every time – doesn’t matter if it’s Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert – just hit most or all the notes)
  4. The song has a simple, constant repeating pattern for most, if not all of the song’s length.
I like to choose drums on “Call Me Maybe” or “Blinding Lights” on Expert when I do this, but you can use whatever song and difficulty setting you like as long as it meets this criteria (the criteria also is just a suggestion, not a requirement).
Play the song with highest speed you can tolerate (faster is better) and as you’re playing, watch closely to see where and how the note gem is falling in time with your music. Play your button presses as you would normally to the audio cues of the song, but notice if the gem seems (to your eye) to be hitting the bottom at the same time as the intended beat, or if it is falling a little late, or is falling and hitting the bottom early. Unless your video calibration is accidentally perfect right off the bat (unlikely), you will notice that the gems fall and hit the bottom either early or late. A faster track speed will allow you to see this much better than a slower track speed, so this is why I recommend as fast as you can tolerate.
Based on what you’re seeing, go into the settings and make the following adjustment to the A/V Offset:
Don’t worry about the Input Offset setting AT ALL here. Don’t mess with that part in this calibration stage….all you’re focusing on is how the gem LOOKS In terms of it getting to the bottom in time with your music, and making adjustments ONLY to the A/V Offset. You can do this after the song is over, or in the middle of the song (recommended) so you can see if the gem is really getting to the bottom at the right time.
You may have to play your song a few times and make real-time tweaks to the A/V Offset for a while, but eventually you should be able to get the gem to look like it’s falling and hitting the bottom in time with the music. Again, you are concentrating on the VISUAL component here. Make adjustments by 5 or 10 milliseconds at a time to the A/V Offset until it looks right.
After a while, you should get to a point where the falling gem is hitting the bottom exactly at the right time with the beat. Congratulations! You’ve now figured out the most important thing which is aligning your “visual targets” of the falling note gems to the beat of the music.
IMPORTANT!!! Once you’ve gotten to this point DO NOT ADJUST THE A/V OFFSET ANY FURTHER. All future offset value changes should be done to the input offset only (because you are now sure that if you miss a note, it would be because your skill is off or your button input offset setting is off, and not because the gem is not hitting the bottom in time with the music).
On to the next step.
Step 3: Figuring Out Input Offset Settings
The Input Offset accounts for the tiny (but significant) delay between your press of the button when you are trying to hit a note, and how the game registers that press as accurate or not as compared to the falling gem. If the setting is off, then the game may score your press as a miss (or a “good” instead of “perfect” hit) even if you have great rhythm and hand-eye coordination and are truly pressing the button in time to the actual music.
Moreover, it’s difficult to adjust input offset settings because you don’t know if your timing is off because of your SKILL or because of your INPUT LATENCY. But don’t worry, we have a plan:
Now that you’re sure the video component is good, change your track speed to whatever speed you prefer. It doesn’t matter at this point because the falling gem will always hit the bottom at the same time as the beat no matter the track speed, so the goal here is to have the track speed be as comfortable as possible for you.
Then, play a song that has the following criteria:
  1. You know the song really, really well
  2. You know the song’s chart really, really well
  3. Pick any instrument for that song which you’re best at (or prefer most)
  4. Pick a difficulty level as high as you can pick and still feel confident that you can get 99% or 100%
Song choice and pattern choice don’t really matter here. What matters is that you could probably get 100% repeatedly with it over and over again. It’s totally fine to do this with an Easy difficulty, but I encourage you to use a higher difficulty if you can because that will get you more “data points” (e.g. notes to hit) that you can use to reference when making your adjustments.
Play the song all the way through. Try to get 100% accuracy (don’t worry if they are Good or Perfect hits….just get all the hits).
If you successfully play the song to 100% (or 99% - we don’t need to be this picky, just pretty close to 100% will do), then observe and WRITE DOWN the “Avg Offset” data you see when you press the “More Details” button on the after-song results screen.
Now, sit back and play a few songs like you normally do when you play Fortnite Festival just for fun and aren’t trying to do a bunch of calibration stuff. BUT, start writing down your results FOR EACH SONG by listing:
  1. Your current Input Offset number in the settings, and
  2. Your “Avg. Offset” number on the results screen, and then,
  3. The SUM of each for a particular song playthrough.
For example:
Say I played a song and my Input Offset when I played it was set to 55ms and the results screen when I was done showed my “Avg Offset” was -15 (late), I would write the following
55-15 = 40
And then I play another song and my Input Offset when I played it was again set to 55ms and the results screen when I was done showed my “Avg Offset” was +10 (early), I would write the following
55+10=65
I then play a bunch of different songs (let’s say 8 songs) and get a “data point” listing like this:
I then want to take the average of the SUM of all these latency/offset scores and that would be the likely “correct” Input Offset setting number I should use.
Example:
40+64+34+38+53+41+45+52 = 46 average.
Which means I should now go into the settings and make my Input Offset number as close as possible to that figure, which in this case is 45 (since Input Offset values only change in 5 ms increments).
Repeat as necessary and ONLY MAKE CHANGES TO THE INPUT LATENCY! (NOT the A/V Offset!!) until you are consistently getting “Avg Offset” results that are within a range of -10 to +10.
NOTE: For best results in this step, be sure to only use data (scores) that are resulting from play-throughs that result in a “Flawless 100%” rating. If your skill in the game is such that you can’t get 100% flawless that often, either lower the difficulty until you can, or just do the best you can and only use “data points” from song playthroughs with as high an accuracy score close to 100% as possible.

Step 4: Fine-Tuning for Maximum Awesomeness
You should now have A/V Offset and Input Offset values in your game settings that are probably pretty good for your system setup. You can now be (relatively) confident that if your “Avg Offset” is higher than +10 or lower than -10, it's probably you and your skill that caused the discrepancy, and not because you were fighting the calibration settings.
Remember, if your accuracy and “Good”/”Perfect” percentages are not where you want them to be, it could be because you just didn’t have a good song session, or you just need more practice with that song chart. Finding great calibration settings doesn't directly translate to higher accuracy or scores...it translates to a more *accurate representation* of your accuracy and skill level.
There’s also been some anecdotal reports here on Reddit of some songs having a different “feel” to them in terms of the built-in song latency and note “hit” registering being a little different than other songs, even with spot-on calibration settings. Who knows? I am intrigued by this and would like to explore this further, since I could see it as entirely possible that different individuals at Epic are creating song charts for different songs, where, if their own systems are calibrated differently to each other, that could that perhaps affect the scoring and gem hit registers for different songs. I am not sure, but I am open to the idea. More likely, though, (in my mind) is that people still have video calibration issues that are unresolved when they are seeing this in their own experience. But then again, who knows?
Anyhow, as you’re playing, keep a tally log of your song Avg Offset scores. Note your sum total of your existing Input Offset setting combined with your Avg Offset results and use these numbers to determine if and when you should tweak your Input Offset setting. If you think you need to make an Input Offset value adjustment, only do so because you’re seeing figures indicating such an adjustment is needed over MULTIPLE playthroughs (and not because you just had one poor performance session). In order words, only make an adjustment if you CONSISTENTLY see Avg Offsets being generally higher than +10 or generally lower than -10.

I know this sounds tedious, but trust me, the payoff is worth it. There’s no better feeling than watching your scores climb the leaderboard because the system settings are accurately reflecting your skills, and knowing that a poor performance is because of YOU and not your game settings.

-and obviously it was stupid to think that any of my old friends would still be there. Could I even call them that? I haven’t been back here in maybe ten years and my ‘friends’ were the staff at a bar I worked at for two months, transient work by its very nature. Especially in Rome. There’s a street preacher and I think he’s saying “KINGS, BOOK ONE! CHAPTER 19!” and maybe he is because he has 1 Kings 19 (11-13) written on a sign next to him.
I remember Malfi… Marfi? Was a student anyway. Studying history at masters level. I can clearly see the seal of her university in my head clearly but I can't remember the university. I think about maybe pulling out my phone and googling it but it’ll take too long and I don’t want to waste the battery or not be looking at my surroundings for too long.

Oh god. If I keep my head down maybe he won’t bother me but suddenly there’s a wall of flesh draped in a cheap blue t-shirt semi-blocking my path.

What the hell is his problem? The insolence of it! The actual insolence! I smiled as I said I’m busy for fucks’ sake. I have a disgust response from the way he speaks as it plays back in my head. You ghat a problehm with blaq people? Flat vowels from the Global South. I could smell whatever ersatz cologne he’d doused himself in. Big, dumb bicycle chain wrapped around his neck. I could barely make out this heckler’s face, he was so overweight he was drowned in fat, and he threw his arms up in the air so his bony elbows came out at weird, jutting angles.
My mood is completely ruined so I turned right, catching the sun, cutting off a man walking a Chow dog who I presume follows after me.
My sunglasses are in my pocket and for whatever reason I lose the will to actually pull them out so I’m walking blind into glare. Was everyone still looking at me? The sun is beating down and on top of that the wind is blowing directly into my face. I can’t see anything and I feel prickly heat around my flanks. Maybe a tweed jacket was the wrong choice, but I’m not going to take it off and drape it over my shoulder right now. I do not want to be perceived.
I start thinking about the street venders from ten years ago, how friendly they all were. That’s not a thing anymore, I guess. I force all that from my mind and as I’m walking I involuntarily start thinking back to when I was little.
I was six, maybe seven, and my mother was in the hospital so I was being looked after by my father. It took him maybe three days to stop bothering to make sure I had a bath or brushed my teeth. Maybe a week before he stopped doing laundry. About three weeks in he was forced to start taking me to school again; somebody had mentioned something to my grandmother who came round to shout at him. He reckoned I could learn everything I needed from watching television.
The other kids were not a fan of my new look, and the bullying was horrible. Already a lonely child, I was further isolated from my peers by my appearance and odour. I had an initial grace period, I’m sure Miss. Euston had prepped everyone that my mother was sick and everyone was to be very nice to me.
The great mass of my appearance, greasy and smelly, eventually pulled through the gravity of Miss. Euston’s authority, and finally I slipped through her graces and into the bottomless pit of cruelty only children are capable of.
One night when the rest of the class was dismissed she kept me back to talk to me.
“How are you, John?”
Fine.
“I hear your mummy will be back soon? Isn’t that great?”
Yes.
“Maybe you should tell your dad to give you a bath before she gets home, yes?”
Yes.
“Is your dad coming to pick you up today?”
I don’t know.
She smiled at me put her hand to my face. It was warm and soft and I could feel the sea-salt sweat from her palms. It was comforting. Maybe that’s why I’m a cuddler now. She gave me a chocolate bar from her treat tin and let me go. My dad did actually pick me up that day. He asked me where I got the chocolate bar from and I said Miss. Euston gave it to me. I never ate it, at some point it must have been thrown away.
I realized Miss. Euston was, probably, barely a few years older than I was now. I wonder what she was up to. At some point the buildings covered the sun and I checked my watch. Two more hours to go.
I see a free table on a raised mount and decide to sit there. I look up at the statues looking down at me and a waiter comes over and says I have to order if I want to stay there. This annoys me so I bark at him that I need a menu if I want to order anything. He leaves and the clouds open again, probably by the wind, and it beats down on me again. Feeling more grounded I take off my jacket and drape it over my chair and take the cigarettes from the inside pocket. I looked at my phone and re-read the invitation email.

She smiles and laughs and it’s very cute, I think she lost her composure because the laugh doesn’t match her voice.
I run my hand through my hair because I need something for my hands to do, and she says yeah. It’s tall. Pretty big. Are you going far after this?
I dunno. There’s some people trying to kill me. I smile again, obviously a joke.
She smiles back. You should have the buffet and I’ll bring you your drinks. I’ll leave the jar of orange juice but don’t tell anyone, OK?

I check how far the walk is and it’s maybe 40 minutes, too far in this weather. Will it rain? Will I literally burn to a crisp? I wish I had brought my laptop so I could have the slide deck up. I could ask the waitress what she thought.
She comes back with my coffee and a cold glass of orange juice, and a jug of water.
Sorry, she says, my manager told me to only pour the juice.
That’s fine, I think I’m only 40 minutes away. Like three miles.

I get up and make a plate of pastry, the meat looks like it had been left out so I avoided it. I grabbed some things I don’t know the name of, and a slice of bread that was being warmed on a terracotta platter over some coals.
She walks away and when she comes back I want to ask for her number, but there’s a huge delivery truck slowly rolling through. My cup is shaking in its’ saucer and if it wasn’t already mostly drunk it’d run over. I try to make conversation but I don’t want to shout at her so just give her 30 euro and say keep the tip. She shouts back thanks. I get up and start walking.
The sun won out against the rain and it started to pound me again. The air was dry. I was walking fast and making good time, but I did not want to end up sweaty when I got there so I took off my jacket and carried it under my arm. I checked my phone again and I had a missed call and a voice mail. I couldn’t see the name in the glare.
I couldn’t stop to put earphones in, so I put my phone away.
I managed to make it to the campus with five minutes to spare. I hullo’d with the professors and asked for a glass of water. I drank it in one then went to the bathroom to piss, and check my hair. I was sweating but my jacket would cover it. My hair looked great. I clenched my jaw and looked at my face. Intense. Satisfied, I blew my nose and in my head went over the topics I’d cover. If I got lost I’d ask the students questions.
For some reason I thought back to Miss. Euston, looking after the poor scapegrace that was me. I remember once she told me God was in the wind.
I was waiting in the wings, hidden on a pre-stage before the main stage. Before I put my phone on silent, I thought I’d listen to the voice mail quickly. I briefly thought it "pre-stage" was even a word. I didn’t recognize the number. I pressed play and raised it to my ear.
There was a pause and then, cutting through the roar of the wind once present but no longer, came a voice.
“Hi, John, I hope you’re well and I’m just calli-“
The voicemail stopped. Someday, I hope, Apple will figure out how to actually let me hear my voicemail without constantly having to un-pause it. I hit play and put my phone back to my ear but I knew who it is before she said her name. “I’m just calling to say hey. It’s me, Joanne.”
It was a whisper being carried over time and continents. A whisper from a girl that might as well be dead. Why me, Joanne. Why me.
I covered my face with my hands. I realized I was doing it in shame and suddenly Miss. Euston’s voice came back to me again. “God is in the wind.”

I'm just gonna rant how incompetent the cybercrime unit in our area is. Context is yung fb account ng family member ko is na hack and then yung hacker nag chat sa iba-ibang tao asking for money ranging from 3k-6k and unfortunately a relative of mine fell victim to this kampon ng impyerno.
As advised by some relatives na mag punta sa PNP to their cyber crime unit to report the crime so we went there. The moment na we explained what happened ang sabi agad is there's almost no chance na they can do anything about the money that was sent and ang gawin nalang talaga is mag send ng report or email from the app that was used to transfer the money.
So we mentioned na is there anything we can do nalang on how to locate or identify the hacker since we identified the hacker's ip address from the fb and he said na there's also no chance to track it cause as he said even if alam nila baka lang daw hindi exact yung since posible ang ip address will only re-direct to the internet provider's location etc. and that if ever man is wala daw ganyan sa Ph yung mag track ng ip address and I was like 'wtf?'. As far as I know even if that is the case there is still a chance to locate using the ip address, even countries outside ph have successfully done so multiple times and this officer didn't even take note man lang yung ip or any information that could possibly identify the hacker.
Also, may number na gi provide yung hacker from gcash and also binago niya din number sa fb so we mentioned those to the officer if possible na those two numbers could be identified din. In my mind I already knew na there's a chance that these numbers aren't even theirs and were possibly stolen or bought but still, SIMS ARE REGISTERED HERE IN THE PH!!! So maybe they can identify the hacker in that way, but this guy said the things that were on my mind and said that wala rin talaga silang magawa and the only thing they can help is pano iretrieve yung account which for me is basic knowledge and we already did so because it's easy nowadays to retrieve accounts with just the help of google!
So out of curiosity I asked anong course ni officer because I thought if you were to get into the cyber crime unit is that you must be an IT/CompSci or any computer related course to get in so I expected na yan yung sasabihin niya but he said he's a criminology graduate and that he also previously mentioned that the cyber crime unit division in our area was just established back in 2019. Like useless talaga...
Also the officer was so icky kasi nag mention siya na there were cases na hackers also blackmail you if ever they found a scandal on your phone and this one time there was this 15 year old girl who fell victim to this and compared her to a c0rn⭐ like wtf? He even assured us na it was normal for them to watch those things so they aren't bothered in the slightest about those kind of videos pero kahit ano pang explain niya wala akong tiwala the way palang na how he described the girl.
In the end they couldn't do anything and told my relative who was the victim that sent out the money to the hacker to just report it to the different station within the barangay and dun nalang magpa blotter... Can't even imagine old people who are not knowledgeable about technology who fell victims to such hacks and scams na sabihan na walang magagawa ang estasyon sa kanila.
So f these security measures na inemplement ng gobyerno eh wala namang silbi sa huli!!

Hello and greetings once again my fellow CUEnthusiasts!
I’m going to cap off this series with Part 2 of Building your Collection and working towards Completion. This time I’m going to go over some tips and strategies for cards you already have at your disposal in your collection. Again, much of what I cover will pertain to many types of collectors and their goals. I’ll elaborate and differentiate as needed.
Some of what I’ll cover in this post I may have gone over in greater detail in a previous post, so I won’t go much further into it so it’s not redundant. Previous Coaches Corners can be found in this sub, or my post history :)
The first thing I would like to go over, is what you’re working towards (your goals for your collection) and how to approach trading cards in your collection to help achieve these goals.
I would also like to take a second to add and emphasize that having access to or being on a platform like discord or here etc, will be integral for a good amount of what I cover today. It’s the most efficient way to leverage and get the most out of cards you already own for what you’re looking for.
Now there’s many different types of collectors in the game. I’m going to narrow this down and focus on a couple of key ones in regard to today’s topic. Again, some of what I’ll go over will be applicable to a wider range of collectors, so it may be worth a read regardless.
A completionist is someone who is typically trying to get at least 1 of every card. They tend not to trade their singles. I’m a completionist first and foremost so I lock(protect) every card I only have 1 of. To me, there would be nothing worse than trading a card I already had, and need to chase it again. Especially if the card is scarce. The main goal for a completionist should always be to fill holes in your collection, not create one to fill one, regardless of the offer.
Someone who’s just working on decks to play tend to trade singles and look mainly for cards to play. The benefit here is they have singles at their disposal to leverage for cards they’re after. Collecting cards they need is usually secondary, or not applicable at all except for ones they want to use/play.
Now, how do we use what we already have to get the cards we’re looking for outside of the obvious posting in game?
And this is where it’s paramount to leverage a platform. Because there’s certain traders/collectors that you’ll be looking to deal with, as it can be of great benefit to your end goal. And, as I’ve discussed before and this is where it’ll be most applicable. This is where you’ll work out a trade before a card is ever sent. It’s the most streamlined way to trade if you know values and how to navigate trades. (Hopefully my past posts will have helped a bit with this).
What you stand to gain out of being on a platform is the ability to see clearly, offers and what people are wanting and have to offer. Watch for offers and collectors/traders that can help you work towards your goals while trading with them for mutually beneficial trades. And I’ll detail a couple to keep an eye out for.
The Heavy Traders and Veterans: These folks spend a lot of time moving cards and trading. They tend to have larger, and most of the time, complete collections and many duplicates. They’re usually very easy to deal with if you have some knowledge of card values(because trust me, they do). They also post offers on their platform of choice detailing exactly what they offer and what they’re wanting. Pretty straight forward if you’re looking to do a trade that aligns with them too. I will add, some also will pull extras of new cards or packs in general to add to their catalogue of tradable cards, so again, it’s good to check in from time to time. Again, they are usually very easy to deal with as long as values are spot on, especially when taking them up on an offer or making one yourself. And once more, to drive it home lol. It’s very important to learn the value system as best as you can on your platform of choice.
One Card Collectors/Hoarders:
Quick Disclaimer: I’m doing my best to write this without bias as I am a one card collector. However I was, and still am, a completionist first. Even before I started hoarding on this app. And the reality is, these folks are some of the easiest people to deal with on any card app. Most of my dealings, as I’ve mentioned before, have been with them, just because of the ease in obtaining cards you want if they have.
It’s worth while to find out exactly what they offer and trade them the cards they collect, because they will typically trade exactly what they say they will, and it makes obtaining cards you need very easy. The catch is, and this isn’t always the case as I’ve mentioned before when I went into detail about one card collectors/hoarders, you’re going to want to trade them the cards they collect for best results. Same as heavy traders, but these folks usually make solid offers for their cards, and when you’re sticking to what they offer in their post, it’s most likely to result in an accepted trade.
Some will even pull so they can trade for their cards too. I, and many others who have experience with hoarders, spent time tracking down their cards to fill our own card needs and wants. They also tend to pay well for quantities of their cards for a quality card, and this is the only time I feel quantity for quality applies lol. This is a good opportunity to use low value dupes that may not move to get good cards you need.
Typically they don’t trade singles, but there are some who do, as they only play to collect numbers of their cards, but what cards they do offer for their collect cards are usually some of the easiest to obtain.
There many types of players of all levels on a platform, and trades are relatively easy to work out. Other than the couple of collectors I’ve mentioned to keep an eye out for, here’s some other benefits and things to watch out for on the platform of your choice that you can leverage to work towards your goals.
There will always be players trading dupes for needs, working together towards their collection goals. These are usually straight forward, especially if values are known by both players or a value system is leveraged to balance values. Typically the cards traded are what I call filler cards, ones that don’t have demand or playability but are wanted just to round out your collection. It’s usually straight forward 1:1 card for card, matching both rarity and type. Pretty basic stuff but on a platform, can be highly efficient filling out your collection as you can typically put through multi card trades.
Many players chasing completion or filling needs tend to want to knock off the high value ones asap, because this is also a tcg, and they may want to use them to play right away. When they have most or all the higher value stuff and they end up with dupes of them, they’ll sometimes post to break down a value card for quantity of equal value cards they need. This can be paramount to how you get good/value cards for a very reasonable price. Again watch for it to be offered and don’t just send lol.
While a bit less prevalent on this app, there are a few people who run some kind of swap shop(all they do is trade cards, usually of same rarity and type for the same in return). They usually have their own system in place and some don’t use any values for cards other than rarity and type and I’ll provide a couple of examples I’ve seen and done myself (I formally ran swap shops on most card apps I’ve been on). Some will and do trade singles, again, it helps to read and understand their post prior to sending a trade. Adhering to what they post can make obtaining cards from them extremely easy.
Some may offer to give 1 of any card for 2 cards of the same rarity/type as the one you took in return. Some will trade a card of same rarity/type they have over a set amount of dupes of for ones they need or have under a set number of dupes of a card. There’s a few different ones and they’re typically good to leverage for a hassle free trade as they tend to adhere to what they post.
The importance of a platform, even though the player base on them is small compared to the overall population on the app, is the fact that most veteran players and heavy traders/collectors tend to be on them. The ability to work out trades and obtain the cards you want is far more effective than just posting in game. And again, the capability to work out a trade without ever sending a card first is amazing. And the ability to do so with cards you already own is the most economical way to build and/or fill out your collection.
I’m going to wrap up with a few tips for those focused on completing their collection.
I want to stress this point again, as I feel it’s important for a completionist. I did this on any app I tried to complete. Do not trade your singles. While offers may seem, and can be very generous, unless you know you can replace a single with ease, the risk of it being very tough to find again, I’ve found, isn’t worth it. I’ve experienced myself and seen many times a single was traded and the regret afterwards in doing so, not to mention the time investment that may be needed to get it back. And logically speaking, you’ve already found the card once and have it, why would you want to chase it again just to not chase a card being offered? It’s not really progressing towards your goal of completion, it’s just keeping your cards collected at the same number when your goal is to increase that number until you have everything.
What to target to complete first?
This is completely up to you. What I will offer is some brief insight into each limited rarity, mythics and all basics/fusions, I’ll work my way from lowest rarity to highest.
Fusion/Basics: These are so abundant, have no value and are always available. Dupes for needs, rarity for rarity, type for type these are some of the most basic and straight forward trades possible as basics/fusions have no value. The only exception is maybe a new one, but even then, its value is just because it’s new and typically won’t fetch anything of value.
One point I’d like to make and it’s most people’s preference, trade type for same type, so fusion for other fusion, basic for other basic. It’s only because fusion will be used to obviously make a red or ultra fusion. Again it’s more preference. Also consider, as new red fusions are released, some basics become fusion cards to make a new red. So no real damage can be done if you don’t care too much.
In my opinion, basics and fusions (legendary rarity and below) shouldn’t be a focus. Not many are playable, you’ll always get them from almost every pack, and they’re very easy to obtain and complete. I’d say if you’re down to a few left you may as well wrap it up, but you’ll naturally fill out most of them as time goes.
From time to time it can be normal for someone to offer a limited you need for basic/fusion cards. This is ok. I would caution not to send basics/fusion to someone for a limited card unless it was discussed pre trade. There’s an in game decline response that relates to this for a reason xD
Limited Common and Rare- I lumped these 2 together because they’re both relatively similar at least from a completion standpoint. As I’ve said before, these 2 rarities are relatively easy to complete, there’s maybe a handful of meta/playable cards amongst them but they don’t hold a high value. These are usually good to start the journey with as completing them allows the opportunity to use dupes of these rarities to trade to keep them complete and/or to roll up for higher rarity needs sometimes.
Limited Epic and Legendary: These are 2 of the hardest to complete. The reason again being, the majority of value/meta/playable/scarce cards are of these rarities. These would be my last focus simply because with time your collection will grow and that will help to make completing them easier.
My advice when trading your dupes of high value is to get a like value card you need for it. Breaking them down and diluting their value into lesser value needs can actually make the higher needs harder to get if most of your dupes are lower in value. Nothing wrong with it, but just my take. I mention this because as you near completion, you don’t want to be stuck only needing high value cards and having mainly low value dupes for trade for them. It’ll take a while to find someone wanting a breakdown, especially if what you need is scarce. This just helps ensure you have and get value cards knocked off your need list as you go. And always keep an eye out for someone wanting to break down a high value card too. The more value dupes you can retain for high value cards you need is in your best interest to complete efficiently.
Mythics- Again a harder one to complete but not usually as hard as epic and legendary. The majority of Mythics have been around for a long while, mainly the newer ones are harder to get. Now the reason I consider these a bit easier than epic/legendary is because mythics are always being traded. And lots of people on platforms are wanting to break down higher value ones into multiple lower value ones.
Mythics are obtained with time just pulling so I wouldn’t focus too much on them early, as you close out low rarity needs and start getting dupe mythics or rolling up limited cards into Mythics, they’re relatively easy to transact with and fill out. Newer ones are the slight exception as they may be scarce, but again, with time will be more available and as well tend to get cheaper.
Again, preference plays a part and many people just trade Mythics for other Mythics, and I’d urge you to do the same with your mythic dupes until they’re complete or just missing a couple of new ones. Once they’re done or close to it, you can use your dupe mythics to pick off the higher value limited cards you need.
One last completionist note I’d like to make as it relates to mythics.
Mythics cannot be target pulled, meaning, unlike new limiteds/basics, mythics are random and don’t have a fixed pull rate. When you do get one, it’s could be any 1 that’s currently available. They are the main chase when people are trying to stay complete for this reason.
Typically, as I mentioned in another post, it’s not uncommon to see an Anubis, or multiple high value stable Mythics be traded for a new mythic in the early days after its release. If you’re wanting to be complete again asap, you’re going want to manage your Mythic dupes in preparation for a new one. You’ll want to look into rolling up lesser value Mythic dupes into a high value stable one a few times if not more, just so you have a competitive offer early on. If it’s no big deal and you can wait, over time, more copies of a new mythic become available and the price tends to drop until it’s stable.
This, I hope, in combination with what I went over in Part 1, will help you expedite getting the cards you’re wanting/looking for and hit your goals!

So, I have the dubious honor of having owned both the Luba 2 5000 and the Husqvarna 450X EPOS at the same time for the same yard. I also have the Husqvarna 315X wired version as well. But in this post I want to provide a comprehensive comparison between the Husq 450X EPOS and the Luba 2 5000. There are already tons of vendor marketing materials, YouTubers with their reviews, etc. My goal is to provide a real comprehensive review, with no fanboyism, no hidden agenda, just as a homeowner who wants something that works reliably and that lasts.
In this post my goal is also to provide new information that I was not able to find anywhere when I was comparing these two prior to purchase, if you have any questions that you want answered that I did not cover here just let me know.
MY YARD
My yard is a pretty simple Florida rectangular acre with about 5 big oak trees and plenty more overhanging my yard from my neighbors' yards. I have about 1/2 acre in the back and about 0.30 acres in the front. I use the Husq 315X to mow the front and decided to buy a wireless version to mow the back. I also have a thin strip outside of the front fence that I mow on occasion after opening the gates and fences.
LUBA2 5000 vs HUSQ 450X EPOS
Below I have arranged my findings by categories, with the most surprising being first.
OVERALL WINNER (TIE)
Right now both the Luba 2 and the Husq 450X EPOS have a fatal flaw; the Luba 2 badly chews up my yard, and the 450X EPOS can't seem to find its RTK/Satellite Signals. At this point in time I do not know if the Luba's or 450X EPOS's problems are just software or a fundamental hardware problem. Mammotion is addressing their hardware design with the release of the Yuka, I can only hope the RTK problem with the 450X EPOS can be fixed via a firmware update.
I know the 450X EPOS won a lot of categories for me, but if it sits around in my yard all day searching for a signal then none of the rest of its features matter. RTK is so important to the fundamental operation of a wireless RTK robot that it supersedes all else in my book.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Luba 2 - I would recommend the Luba 2 if any of the below are true:
450X EPOS - I would recommend the Husq 450X EPOS if ALL of the below are true:
Wired Solutions - My front yard Husq 315X wire guided mower is great, problem free, and still uses a wire. I used a trenching machine, bought heavy duty 14 gauge wire, and buried it around 8" deep. In my opinion, if you can deal with installing the wire, not being able to change things later, and risk the wire breaks, wired is still the most reliable way to go. I think wireless mowers are very close to being mature, but something needs to come along to reduce the problems with satellite reception, RTK placement, and blockage from buildings and trees. We don't all have that perfect wide open yard with no trees or buildings.

So I finally finalized my nanny agreement that I will be showing potential new NFs I interview with. Theres 2 sections that I need some feedback on, I'm not sure if it's good or too much or too little! For the compensation is what I mostly need feedback on, is there anything ! should change or that you nannys would/wouldn't do? Parents feel free to let me know your feedback as well! Also just need some feedback for the sick/vacation section as well, I know it will alarm some that I put "unpaid" holidays for myself so l'd love some opinions on that and the stuff that I put about the family being on vacation. I just feel like the family shouldn't be obligated to compensate me for holidays if I'm not working for them? and also for vacation time I feel they shouldnt be obligated to compensate me for me wanting a vacation? Idk let me know your thoughts! Heres what I have:
  1. Payment and Compensation • Nanny shall be paid through a payroll service on a weekly basis. Both parties will discuss and come to an agreement on preferred payroll service. • The Nanny’s hourly rate shall be $30, with overtime paid at a rate of time and a half (for more than 40 hours in a week) resulting at $45. • An additional fee of $2 per hour for each extra child under the Nanny's care will be added to the normal hourly rate. This fee applies only when the Nanny is caring for more than one child at the same time for at least one hour and is charged this fee only for the hours during which multiple children are under the Nanny's care. (Ex. 4 hours/1 child=$30, 4 hours/2 children= $32 = $248 total). If the Nanny cares for more than one child at the same time for a total exceeding 40 hours/week, an overtime rate of time and a half will be charged based on the number of children under the Nanny's care. (Ex. 2 children=32/hour + time ½ = $48/hour) • Overnight hours from 10pm to 6am are paid at the hourly rate of $35, with overtime rate applied only if weekly hours exceed 40, regardless of whether children are asleep or awake. Hours worked outside 10pm to 6am are paid at the regular rate. • Rates will be adjusted based on the number of children under Nanny’s care. • All wages shall be paid weekly on Fridays via the payroll service.

  1. Holidays/Sick/Vacation • Nanny shall be entitled to 5 sick days per year (40 hours). Nanny does not require paid vacation/holidays unless offered by Family. • The family must notify the Nanny at least 4 weeks in advance of any planned vacation leave exceeding 16 work hours (2 days). Failure to provide adequate notice may result in compensation at the regular rate of $30 per hour, treating it as normally scheduled workdays for the duration of the family's vacation that falls within the Nanny's usual working hours. • Nanny must notify Family at least 4 weeks in advance of any planned vacation leave that is more than 16 work hours (2 days). • Nanny should be entitled to time off for major holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. • In the event the Nanny is required to travel with the family, she will be paid at her normal rates and subject to the same policies and charges outlined in Section 4. • All travel expenses incurred by the Nanny during such trips will be fully covered by the family. This includes, but is not limited to, accommodation, meals, flights, and any activities or experiences.
