In short, I am a GIANT fucking dweeb for the Fallout franchise (started with FO3 over a decade ago and never looked back), and the release of the TV show got me back into playing and falling in love with the wasteland all over again. More specifically, my teenage crushes on Danse and Hancock have been reignited something fierce. That's where you (hopefully!) come in, and where I would be more than happy to double!
I am looking for a literate or semi-literate partner to RP an OC x Canon slow burn romance between a fresh-from-the-Vault Sole Survivor and your choice of straight-edge walking identity crisis Paladin Danse, or chem-loving 'of the people, for the people' mayor Hancock. I'd prefer to keep things as in-character and lore friendly as possible - no need to keep the wiki on hand, but please have solid characteworld knowledge to draw from. In terms of plot, ideally the RP would loosely follow the main quest beats (Sole as the frantic mother of a kidnapped son, stumbling on GoodneighboCambridge Police Station, discovering the Institute, etc.), and I'm up for discussion of where to go from their intro quests! The Commonwealth is a big, dangerous place with plenty of things to wander into and people to meet. Angst, hurt/comfort, and somewhat darker themes are welcome and encouraged, though I'd like to maintain Fallout's general balance between goofy and gallows humor. I'm cautiously open to ERP, just don't be weird about it.

I was thinking about this yesterday, and felt the need to post about it.
I'm currently knitting a pattern by a somewhat famous designer from Instagram, but got so frustrated by the pattern having so many errors, inconsistencies and design choices that don't make sense. I'm not a new knitter nor a beginner one, and I still found myself trying to decipher what the designer was trying to achieve at many steps in the pattern. Mind you, I bought the revised and updated version of it! I wonder how it was before...
This designer is constantly ranting about the Instagram algorithm not being on her favor, and at some point posted that she comes up with new patterns very regularly just to out-beat the algorithm. I'm probably bitter but wouldn't it be better to take a little more time in each design and publish good quality patterns instead of many poor quality ones? How is this even a problem if the pattern is test-knitted by other people?
Trying to figure out the design made me waste a week and half of my time; time that I value so preciously because my knitting hours have been significantly reduced now that I have a full-time job and adult responsibilities –wasting hours like this was only possible when I was a student.
This is not the first time it happens to me with this knitter in particular, many times before I've wasted not only money (for the patterns and the yarn each of them requires) but hours trying to even get started (and given up half-way through) as well, but somehow told myself to give her another chance. I thought I was the only one, maybe I wasn't a decent knitter as I considered myself to be... but going through her Ravelry profile, I noticed that many other people were giving up on her patterns as well, because they didn't make a lot of sense.
Pattern writing, specially in knitting, is an art in and of itself: you need to create a product that is understandable out of something very complex, and it shouldn't be taken lightly because people are relying on your ability to accomplish it.
Designing knits is also an art, so why choose poor options that lower the quality of a product? I'm an experienced knitter, so I can easily replace what I don't like in a pattern for something that it's more suitable, but what about beginners that do not have the knowledge or ability to do it yet? This is more personal than anything else, but I always try to leave most of the patterns that I knit as they are, because I respect the designer's vision and the effort that was put into each design, but man! what do I do when that vision is looking very ugly?
Anyways, I've figured the pattern out; now what I'm missing is the motivation to keep knitting it because it's been so long since I started it.

(Excuse all mistakes pls this is my first post I’m just desperate and need advice) I (21F) have been dating my bf (20M) for 7 months now- we’ll call him Greg (not even close to his name). We’ve never been the type of couple to forbid friendships of the opposite gender on the grounds of “yall are definitely gonna cheat” this is mostly in part due to me being bisexual so adhering to that would essentially mean I couldn’t socialise at ALL. He’s been very insecure our whole relationship due to being cheated on by his ex before me. Due to our lack of rules about friendships he will give his snap to any girl that is respectfully friendly to him and asks- again I have no reason not to want him to be friends with females because I do too. He had agreed from the start to delete anyone who was trying to flirt or otherwise be disrespectful to our relationship which I love and he has always been honest about it as well as always given me free access to his phone (and I know how to check everything on it if I desire but I have seen there’s nothing he’s hidden). This is where everything start getting complicated as you can guess, in the first few months of our relationship he had told me about probably 6 separate instances of having to remove girls from his snap for flirting and I always thought nothing of it but “I’m glad he tells me and blocks them” (he always posts me on his story with obvious captions calling me his gf so it’s impossible not to know). His insecurities have played out differently for him- on multiple occasions he got drunk and would spend hours berating me and going through my phone because “he just knows I’m cheating” (I have literally not so much as breathed the same air as another bitch that wants me much less gave them my snap or cheated🙄), he spent three days straight reading every message I sent to one of my at the time newer friends I was trying to get to know (she ended up blocking me because of his behavior) and while he read them he’d be literally crying and talking about how he’s scared I’m cheating- whole time the messages are literally Me- “hey you want coffee when we smoke after work before I pick up my bf” Her- “sure, does he wanna smoke with us too” So you understand my frustration on that? Not to mention getting upset I had guys added on Facebook (they were my coworkers I can’t be assed to hang out with outside of work we literally just share local crackhead news posted there) despite them having commited relationship and even KIDS (I’m aware this NEVER takes cheating off the table but like what does that say about what he thinks of me?) eventually we set a ground rule of just no people on social media of opposite gender in hopes that it would make him feel more comfortable and because the Snapchat thing I mentioned earlier ended up making me more uncomfortable with how frequent it became. This was probably two months ago that he came to me proudly telling me that he’s heard my concerns and boundaries and removed all the girls off his snap (obviously anyone he’s already close friends with didn’t not get removed because I don’t want him losing any friendships because of my insecurity). Today I find out he still follows all the same females on snap??? “I don’t have them added I just follow them and I can view their stories”. Now arguably this does not violate what he has told me previously, but wtf kind of loophole is that?? Coming to me and personally telling me you are doing something to strengthen the trust in our relationship just to find a way around it to still look at the same girls you told me you don’t want is hella sus to me!! Ntm he has hella girls in his following on insta (“babe I don’t even get on Instagram, I just use it to look at reels”). I was trying to cool down from being upset about the Snapchat thing tonight but I can’t even go on Instagram without every hoe our age poping up as “recommended to follow: followed by @greg”. I should clarify I know the girls that pop up as it’s a small town and they’re well known to be with any dude especially ones in relationships- so I couldn’t even scroll in peace without a reminder our whole trust in this situation is leaning on a guy who found a loophole out of deleting other bitches off his Snapchat. Ik I’m mentally ill and it’s probably my own insecurities and I don’t want to ruin our relationship but I need to know if I’m just geeking???

I am writing this on my phone so sorry for any grammar or spelling errors. This is going to be long, short tl;dr at the end but it doesn’t do it justice. Also, sorry if the wrong flair, I wasn’t sure. Posting this with an alt and will delete once I decide regardless of decision.
Backstory: I am a software engineer. I got this job 2 months ago. During the interview process they talked about what they wanted me to do. My boss, clearly, has never hired anyone before cause I did an email exchange (normal), a phone call the day after (normal), another phone call the day after (abnormal) and then an in-person interview (abnormal) and then a final interview-person interview with the CEO (normal). I was told in the last interview it would be with the Vp and I had no idea it was the CEO until I got hired. Small company.
I say those interviews were abnormal because NOTHING new was gone over in those interviews nor did I meet anyone new. They were a waste of time.
During the interviews, they asked me if I had worked with WordPress (I will refer to Wordpress as WP as that is easier to write on my phone) and if I could make what would end up being Facebook but for professionals. I have worked with WP and I can make that type of app. I was the sole developer. My boss was an entry level front end dev who only knew security stuff and PHP (via WP).
Prior to starting they gave me a handbook that had rules for their hourly employees. There were no guidelines for time off for salary nor anything else. Only thing I had to follow from it was dress code. There was also an NDA but I did not sign nor return it.
I had free rein of the framework to use with the app and how to go about it and I kept my boss up-to-date daily with what I was doing and why.
I would ask weekly for progress reports and I either got silence. Never answers.
Within the first month, the CEO was asking if there was an AI that could help me write this faster. Spoiler: There isn’t.
Anyway, I got held up because they wanted to keep their WP site and the app up-to-date to the point where they only had to make changes on the WP side and then those changes would reflect in the app. WP is not commonly used as the backend of apps, in fact, it makes everything harder so it is rarely used. So that means there is a lack of documentation. In order to speed the process up, I found out there were plugins that could open up the API for WP and make it easier so that we could do what they wanted (make the change on the WP side and it would reflect in the app). This was a paid plugin. (Important for later)
Brought it up to my boss, explained why. She understood and agreed (as far as I was aware) and we got the plugin and I started using it. I could have done the work the plugin does myself, it is just MUCH faster to use that plugin vs me rewriting the plugin (basically). Cuts months off of the development time.
About a week before I was fired my boss came to me again asking about AppFlowy (AI app maker) to see if it could make our app. Said no again and explicitly asked “why are we still looking for AI? Am I not working fast enough?” Crickets. She never answered me. I have copies of me asking in writing. Unfortunately I don’t have copies of the rest of the conversation where she didn’t answer me.
So I got the login, reset password, profile page, and registration pages all done. I officially finished them the day I was fired this month. I was there for 2 months.
In the firing notice they stated that I:

I’m getting transcript copies of all of this from unemployment.
I just don’t know if a defamation case is worth it because while it shouldn’t affect future employment, I worry it will. I also don’t know what is privileged and what isn’t with unemployment. I did contact 1 lawyer and he said he isn’t worked with unemployment but he does know some of the stuff is privileged awhile some isn’t and it would have been too expensive for him to even research if it I could even use what they told unemployment.
Should I pursue a defamation case or just fight for my unemployment? Should I wake to pursue a defamation case until after I get hired elsewhere?
They are already NOT on my resume and won’t ever be.

Backstory: I am a software engineer. I got this job 2 months ago. During the interview process they talked about what they wanted me to do. My boss, clearly, has never hired anyone before cause I did an email exchange (normal), a phone call the day after (normal), another phone call the day after (abnormal) and then an in-person interview (abnormal) and then a final interview-person interview with the CEO (normal). I was told in the last interview it would be with the Vp and I had no idea it was the CEO until I got hired. Small company.
I say those interviews were abnormal because NOTHING new was gone over in those interviews nor did I meet anyone new. They were a waste of time.
During the interviews, they asked me if I had worked with WordPress (I will refer to Wordpress as WP as that is easier to write on my phone) and if I could make what would end up being Facebook but for professionals. I have worked with WP and I can make that type of app. I was the sole developer. My boss was an entry level front end dev who only knew security stuff and PHP (via WP).
Prior to starting they gave me a handbook that had rules for their hourly employees. There were no guidelines for time off for salary nor anything else. Only thing I had to follow from it was dress code. There was also an NDA but I did not sign nor return it.
I had free rein of the framework to use with the app and how to go about it and I kept my boss up-to-date daily with what I was doing and why.
I would ask weekly for progress reports and I either got silence. Never answers.
Within the first month, the CEO was asking if there was an AI that could help me write this faster. Spoiler: There isn’t.
Anyway, I got held up because they wanted to keep their WP site and the app up-to-date to the point where they only had to make changes on the WP side and then those changes would reflect in the app. WP is not commonly used as the backend of apps, in fact, it makes everything harder so it is rarely used. So that means there is a lack of documentation. In order to speed the process up, I found out there were plugins that could open up the API for WP and make it easier so that we could do what they wanted (make the change on the WP side and it would reflect in the app). This was a paid plugin. (Important for later)
Brought it up to my boss, explained why. She understood and agreed (as far as I was aware) and we got the plugin and I started using it. I could have done the work the plugin does myself, it is just MUCH faster to use that plugin vs me rewriting the plugin (basically). Cuts months off of the development time.
About a week before I was fired my boss came to me again asking about AppFlowy (AI app maker) to see if it could make our app. Said no again and explicitly asked “why are we still looking for AI? Am I not working fast enough?” Crickets. She never answered me. I have copies of me asking in writing. Unfortunately I don’t have copies of the rest of the conversation where she didn’t answer me.
So I got the login, reset password, profile page, and registration pages all done. I officially finished them the day I was fired this month. I was there for 2 months.
In the firing notice they stated that I:
- lied in the interview about my skills
- didn’t know dart (language I was using for the app; which they didn’t even know existed before me)
- didn’t know Wordpress
- didn’t know security (only truth in this though questions about security weren’t brought up until I was working on the login portion of the app and it was secure in the end so I don’t get this one but whatever)
- didn’t know Wordpress APIs

TL;DR - Bit of a vent post but also an info post for anyone who comes across this in the future who has 'that' kind of friend and wants to know what might happen if they reach out to them. In my case, nothing changed, but that was for the best in the end because it lets me find better people who value me and show me basic kindness.
After getting ghosted for the better part of 3 months by a 'friend' of mine (i.e. They never reached out to me and only gave basic responses to conversations when I reached out to them, didn't ask questions of me to show an interest in my life at all, didn't make any effort to spend time with me while still spending time with others, etc.) - I bit the bullet and reached out to them.
I'd seen several posts, videos, and other bits and pieces about how avoidant-attachment friends will just abandon you and I clearly saw the similarities in my friends' behaviour. While trying to be respectful of his space, and respectful of his closed-ness when it comes to having these kinds of conversations I wrote a message along the lines of;
"Hey, I noticed we haven't spent any time together or really talked at all and I wanted to know if everything is okay? If there is something I did I'd like to know because I don't like guessing what might be the reason I don't hear from you anymore.
I haven't heard from you in roughly 3 months and our conversations feel kinda forced or one-sided and its' made me feel a bit forgotten and unsure where we stand with one another. Are you okay with the amount of times we spend together currently? I want to ask if you still see value in our friendship and I would like to clear it up - because I do value our friendship and I want to know if there's a way for us to rekindle this.
If you're free this Friday or Saturday, would you like to [insert group activity]? Or any other time that suits you, or if you had something else in mind if you'd like to do that together?
Let me know, take care."
This wasn't the exact message but all the similar themes. I wanted to respect his space but also respect myself and my own needs by expressing them to my friend to show what I felt was important in our friendship, and give him a path to help walk it back (As he has never really sent me any message like this nor expressed his needs in the 4 years I knew him, I don't know what his wants are).

That was 25 days ago. In that time, he hasn't reached out at all. No messages, nor the invitation I extended to him which was answered with a non-committal of "We can hang out sometime but I'm not sure when". He literally made no effort whatsoever to demonstrate concern for my message by reaching out or attempting to schedule any time together. The last time we spoke was THAT conversation with my message.
It used to hurt me that my friend ignored me. It doesn't hurt much anymore because I found other friends who do care about me and want to spend time with me. I'd been hung up for years being a people pleaser and anxiously-attached to friends of mine and I can see the damage it did. I'm willing to admit my faults in this.
But... I can rest easier at night, knowing that I gave my friend every chance, every opportunity to meet me halfway. Reaching out was not likely to ever work but it gives me the peace of mind to know that our friendship didn't fail because I didn't try hard enough.

I have advice for new plasma donors who may be considering to try it out and earn extra money:
- Plasma is 92% water and the rest is mostly protein elements.
- The plasma is separated from your blood and your red blood cells are returned to you in cycles.
- Per FDA regulations, you're only allowed to donate plasma twice in a 7 day period, with a 48 hour wait inbetween those two times. Don't risk your health by hopping around to different plasma donation centers to circumvent these regulations, and you may get caught if you do.
- Eat a meal high in protein 2-3 hours before donating, but your plasma protein levels depend on what you ate the day before.
- Drink plenty of water and/or non-caffeinated juice before donating to stay hydrated.
- Avoid caffeine such as in coffee or soda before donating or you may get nauseous and vomit or faint during your donation.
- No alcohol 24 hours before, and for a little while after donating.
- No exercising for at least 6 hours after donating as it can put too much stress on the vein.
- Some people get away with smoking or vaping nicotine before and after donating, but it's recommended not to for 2 hours before and after. The nicotine can raise your heart's pulse rate.
- If your pulse rate is 100 or above, you'll be able to do a vitals retake after a 15 minute wait. But if it's 100 or higher again you'll be deferred for the day. If your pulse rate is an issue, listen to "Pink Noise" or "Green Noise" at a low volume before donating which may help reduce your pulse rate, along with its effect on lowering your blood pressure.
- There is a risk of getting a blown vein if the worker is having a hard time finding your vein when they're sticking you with the needle or if you have small veins. You may get deferred until your vein heals if that happens. But it's ok, your body is able to regenerate your veins with a process called Angiogenesis.
- There is a risk of blood clots, but when your blood is constantly moving through the machine it prevents that from happening.
- You may be subject to drug screening. The drug screening tests for methamphetamines, cocaine, and heroin. Certain pharma prescription meds may show up as a false positive so you'll want to let the plasma center know what meds you're taking. Testing positive for these drugs can result in a permanent deferral from donating plasma.
- A sample of your blood will be drawn periodically to test for certain sexually transmitted infections (STIs). A positive test will result in either a temporary or permanent deferral from donating plasma. If you've ever been diagnosed or received treatment for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B (HBV) or Hepatitis C (HCV) you will be permanently deferred from donating plasma.

- Frequently donating over a prolonged period of time may lead to your body having decreased vitamin D levels.
- Red meats are particularly high in the protein vitamins and minerals found in plasma.
- Personally, I take a Now brand Vitamin D supplement that contains vitamin D3, Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc. But I only take a half a dose, 1 gel capsule instead of 2, since I get these from eating meats and other foods as well. It's bad for your health if you take too much of these vitamins and minerals over time. I also take an Iron supplement. I also drink a protein shake before donating. Just to be safe.

Hello everyone, a few days ago I watched a video called writing your own daemon in C which lead me to try to write one on my own in Rust. I am by no means a Rustacean, nor an expert. Just an average programmer curious about writing a service in Rust.
I call the Daemon birth-hound. It is as the name suggests a daemon which notifies you if it's anyone's birthday (it can be used for notifying you about other important dates as well!). It keeps track of a CSV file which includes the birth date and the person's name. Naturally the daemon checks for all the dates and then notifies using libnotify crate.

- Is this too simple of an idea to be written as a daemon, as daemon's do consume cpu and ram resources
- Is there another approach to do this? I discovered that systemd uses .timer which is used for scheduling programs, so instead of writing a long running process which actually excutes instructions once in a day, you could write a .timer file and in it tell it to execute the rust file to do the checking at 11:59pm everyday
- Do you think it is a good idea to write it in a cli style app wherein the user can do a birth-hound start or birth-hound stop to start and stop the daemon to their wish
- I would access the CSV file using File IO obviously, but should I asc users to create their own CSV file and ask them to manually enter it's path into the src code or should I provide them with a CSV myself, if it's the latter, how should I go about it?

I can’t tell if my boyfriend truly loves me or if he’s just not so invested. For some background, I’m 26F and he is 37M. We met about a little bit over a year and a half ago, everything was pure, genuine and amazing from the start. Btw, I’ve had experience with toxic relationships, I’m very logical (I’m not easily influenced by emotions and I can tell a safe space from a toxic and unhealthy space), this relationship was anything but toxic we genuinely and truly fell in love (not love bombing or lust) and were often both overwhelmed and in shock with the realization that we could very much be soulmates.
A little bit more background he is 37 extremely successful lives a very luxurious life, he’s only had one serious girlfriend (2yr relationship) about 10 years ago. Since then, his reasoning for not having any relationships has been because he doesn’t wanna waste time if he knows they’re not the one. He has reassured me I’m different from any other girl. I am essentially his first time dealing with a serious girlfriend and doing a lot of “firsts” in terms of relationship. I live in Florida and he lives in Boston, so we are technically long distance, but ever since we started dating, we haven’t been apart for longer than three weeks. I often stay at his for months at a time so you could say I split my time between Florida and Boston now. he tells me every day he can’t wait to marry me and have kids with me and not only does he tell me, shows me with his actions that is what he is working towards.
This is where my doubts have begun and I need your advice. Everything was perfect until our first Valentine’s Day together, at this point we would have been five months into our relationship… Valentine’s Day came and all he did was acknowledge it in the morning by kissing me and telling me “Happy Valentine’s Day” I assumed I would at least receive a bouquet of flowers or a nice dinner, but to my surprise, I literally received nothing, so much so, we had to drive around for 20 minutes to find a restaurant that wasn’t booked up with Valentine’s Day reservations. I was very upset and even started crying so naturally we had a conversation and I expressed my disappointment and his response was: “I’m so sorry. I just have never celebrated Valentine’s Day before and I feel a little bit shy” he seemed very apologetic, so I decided to let it slide, but this always stayed with me as I feel like it really backtracked on the dynamic and tone of our relationship and bond. For some more background, three months into our relationship he did give me a beautiful diamond necklace for Christmas, and I didn’t give him anything as I didn’t realize we were giving each other presents. At this point, he had also gifted me many bouquet of flowers in past separate occasions, hence why I was surprised he wouldn’t get me flowers on Valentine’s Day. He also had been very stressed as he had a lot of really big financial losses that the average person probably wouldn’t want to survive. I’m talking millions $. For all of these reasons listed, I decided to forgive it, and I counted it to stress and maybe him being an experienced in an actual true relationship.
Fast forward two months to my birthday, l went back to my hometown to celebrate with friends and family. He decided not to come even though he was fully capable of coming. I was surprised considering I thought the bond we had was so strong. Why would my other half not want to be at my birthday dinner? He did send me flowers that day as well as lunch and dinner the next day, no gift though. I didn’t make a fuss about this day.
Fast forward to my birthday that just passed this year, he literally didn’t do anything for me all day. The only thing he did was Uber Eats a strawberry cake, no customization or candles either. The problem is I don’t like fruit flavored desserts, and more so, I don’t even like cake, never have. I was actually even more disappointed he didn’t even know this about me. of course I spoke up and was actually really upset as this would’ve been another special day that would’ve been played down or ruined. He didn’t make me feel special at all and I feel like he had no excuse this time because I literally flew on my birthday to spend it with him so he wouldn’t have an excuse to say it was “work” that kept him in Boston. For his birthday, I literally got a private sushi chef to come to the house and make a sushi, I decorated the whole house with balloons, got him his favorite tres leches cake customized to say “I love you happy birthday”, and got him a leather watch box with his initials engraved, as well as a pair of sneakers he had been eyeing. Also, he does have a condo in Florida that has been vacant for two years, so it very much could be he’s just busy, because who would willingly pay rent on a condo you haven’t used for two years? FOR EXAMPLE: he doesn’t let me pay for anything, he’s actually taking overpaying for my rent in Florida since I hardly use the apartment, he is fully funding my business, and actually was the one that motivated me and made me feel confident enough to take that risky step in building something for myself, he is extremely attentive to me, he doesn’t give me any mixed signals other than not showing up for me the way a good boyfriend would on special days. he has been consistent and his loyalty to me and has never given me a reason to doubt it. When I am sick, he will cook me soup and take care of me. I was going through a period of hair loss, he booked a doctors appointment for me and even paid for my PRP treatments that are pricey. He bought me my favorite coffee machine, and even prepared me my coffee in the mornings. Days I am busy with work, he will cook me breakfast. In every other aspect, he is a provider. Could it just be hi is not romantic?
Anyways, I’ve developed a more distant personality within our relationship, and it is definitely affecting us and our bond. A little bit more background he is 37 extremely successful lives a very luxurious life, he’s only had one serious girlfriend (2yr relationship) about 10 years ago. Since then, his reasoning for not having any relationships has been because he doesn’t wanna waste time if he knows they’re not the one. He has reassured me I’m different from any other girl. I am essentially his first time dealing with a serious girlfriend and doing a lot of “firsts” in terms of relationship. I live in Florida and he lives in Boston, so we are technically long distance, but ever since we started dating, we haven’t been apart for longer than three weeks. I often stay at his for months at a time so you could say I split my time between Florida and Boston now. he tells me every day he can’t wait to marry me and have kids with me and not only does he tell me, shows me with his actions that is what he is working towards.
This is where my doubts have begun and I need your advice. Everything was perfect until our first Valentine’s Day together, at this point we would have been five months into our relationship… Valentine’s Day came and all he did was acknowledge it in the morning by kissing me and telling me “Happy Valentine’s Day” I assumed I would at least receive a bouquet of flowers or a nice dinner, but to my surprise, I literally received nothing, so much so, we had to drive around for 20 minutes to find a restaurant that wasn’t booked up with Valentine’s Day reservations. I was very upset and even started crying so naturally we had a conversation and I expressed my disappointment and his response was: “I’m so sorry. I just have never celebrated Valentine’s Day before and I feel a little bit shy” he seemed very apologetic, so I decided to let it slide, but this always stayed with me as I feel like it really backtracked on the dynamic and tone of our relationship and bond. For some more background, three months into our relationship he did give me a beautiful diamond necklace for Christmas, and I didn’t give him anything as I didn’t realize we were giving each other presents. At this point, he had also gifted me many bouquet of flowers in past separate occasions, hence why I was surprised he wouldn’t get me flowers on Valentine’s Day. He also had been very stressed as he had a lot of really big financial losses that the average person probably wouldn’t want to survive. I’m talking millions $. For all of these reasons listed, I decided to forgive it, and I counted it to stress and maybe him being an experienced in an actual true relationship.
Fast forward two months to my birthday, l went back to my hometown to celebrate with friends and family. He decided not to come even though he was fully capable of coming. I was surprised considering I thought the bond we had was so strong. Why would my other half not want to be at my birthday dinner? He did send me flowers that day as well as lunch and dinner the next day, no gift though. I didn’t make a fuss about this day.
Fast forward to my birthday that just passed this year, he literally didn’t do anything for me all day. The only thing he did was Uber Eats a strawberry cake, no customization or candles either. I have advice for new plasma donors who may be considering to try it out and earn extra money:
- Plasma is 92% water and the rest is mostly protein elements.
- The plasma is separated from your blood and your red blood cells are returned to you in cycles.
- Per FDA regulations, you're only allowed to donate plasma twice in a 7 day period, with a 48 hour wait inbetween those two times. Don't risk your health by hopping around to different plasma donation centers to circumvent these regulations, and you may get caught if you do.
- Eat a meal high in protein 2-3 hours before donating, but your plasma protein levels depend on what you ate the day before.
- Drink plenty of water and/or non-caffeinated juice before donating to stay hydrated.
- Avoid caffeine such as in coffee or soda before donating or you may get nauseous and vomit or faint during your donation.
- No alcohol 24 hours before, and for a little while after donating.
- No exercising for at least 6 hours after donating as it can put too much stress on the vein.
- Some people get away with smoking or vaping nicotine before and after donating, but it's recommended not to for 2 hours before and after. The nicotine can raise your heart's pulse rate.
- If your pulse rate is 100 or above, you'll be able to do a vitals retake after a 15 minute wait. But if it's 100 or higher again you'll be deferred for the day. If your pulse rate is an issue, listen to "Pink Noise" or "Green Noise" at a low volume before donating which may help reduce your pulse rate, along with its effect on lowering your blood pressure.
- There is a risk of getting a blown vein if the worker is having a hard time finding your vein when they're sticking you with the needle or if you have small veins. You may get deferred until your vein heals if that happens. But it's ok, your body is able to regenerate your veins with a process called Angiogenesis.
- There is a risk of blood clots, but when your blood is constantly moving through the machine it prevents that from happening.
- You may be subject to drug screening. The drug screening tests for methamphetamines, cocaine, and heroin. Certain pharma prescription meds may show up as a false positive so you'll want to let the plasma center know what meds you're taking. Testing positive for these drugs can result in a permanent deferral from donating plasma.
- A sample of your blood will be drawn periodically to test for certain sexually transmitted infections (STIs). A positive test will result in either a temporary or permanent deferral from donating plasma. If you've ever been diagnosed or received treatment for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B (HBV) or Hepatitis C (HCV) you will be permanently deferred from donating plasma.

- Frequently donating over a prolonged period of time may lead to your body having decreased vitamin D levels.
- Red meats are particularly high in the protein vitamins and minerals found in plasma.
- Personally, I take a Now brand Vitamin D supplement that contains vitamin D3, Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc. But I only take a half a dose, 1 gel capsule instead of 2, since I get these from eating meats and other foods as well. No matter where I looked, I couldn't find answers. I came home from work today absolutely devastated. I absolutely cant believe it. We lost....... . . . SIKE! I know everything. And once again, FFIE shorters played a HUGE hand today. But nothing gets by me. No losing today. If you sold, I'm sorry. I totally understand. It was very scary. However, fear not. I'm here to explain that the heck happened today. To be honest, this is a very complicated topic today so try to follow along. In this post, I will explain:
I'm not a professional. Do your Due diligence. This is not financial advice. Just be aware, I really really fkn love the stock. Alright. Lets do it. Processing img bosgu5ua0h3d1... Lets start with by addressing the short interest. MANY people have been posting various numbers regarding short interest ALL WEEK. The simple answer, as you all know by now if you have been reading my posts, is that: SHORT INTEREST HIGH. YOU HOLD. In general, I agree. But this is a very huge oversimplification once a squeeze begins to apply pressure (which you did wonderfully). But here's where things get complicated. First, as always, the technical terminology followed by a simplification. Below, I have attached two graphs illustrating:
CLICK HERE Now initially, this looks very daunting. In essence, this shows that there was a large spike in the price around the same time as the short volume began declining. Scary right? Who knows? In fact, I bet people over the last few days (since the short volume drop) have been SCREAMING that the squeeze is over. Right? Okay. First glance, Yes. I agree. It definitely appears this way. However, lets look a bit closer. Lets look at the second image on that link. You can see that "graph 2" actually has the short volume (blue) overlayed over the price per share (as seen in "graph 1") Pay very very close attention. Now, if short volume were to DECREASE, then that would mean the price of the stock would INCREASE. This is the law. In essence, when HFs buy out of their shorted shares, then the price increases. This is the law of shorting. Did you get that. Here let me say it again lounder. IF SHORTS DECREASE, PRICE PER SHARE INCREASES!!! REMEMBER THIS SIMPLE RULE!!! Now watch the dates on those graphs. It matters big time. The highest day for FFIE was on May 17th. What do we notice about the shorted volume between the dates of May 14th-May 17th Lets go day by day May 14th- about 520 million shares in short volume. This is the beginning of retail traders' attempt to short. Thus, on May 15th- a sight decline in short volume (by a little bit) accompanied by a decent uptick in price. It's safe to say that the difference in shorts between May 14-15th was a few smart HF's covering their shorts before the attempted squeeze. They saw it early and dipped resulting in a spike. Now onto May 15th-17th- There wasn't a significant decrease in short volume between these 3 days. Thus, we can conclude that because there wasn't a DECREASE in short volume, but there was an INCREASE in cost per share, that no shorts were covered during this time. If shorts were covered (in the simple, easy to understand way), then the short volume would've declined, and the price would've SKYROCKETED. I'm talking like 30 bucks a share skyrocketed. Therefore, between May 15th and May 17th, there were TONS of shares purchased, but no shorts covered. Thus, we can say (almost) conclusively, that retail hype caused this jump (YES this includes those who bought at 3 bucks and are now panicking). So far so good? All "Laws" of shorting and market price have been followed so far. Now onto May 20th-27th. This is where this shizzy gets INSANE. Like, so insane, its only been seen (during i guess every short squeeze to ever exist?). Once you are done reading, yall are gonna be back on board! May 20th: A decent drop in short volume. In fact, short volume declines from 324 million shares, down to 174 million shares! NICE THAT WAS A QUICK SQUEEZE RIGHT? This should mean price goes up? As per shorting law (discussed earlier)???? Congrats, you successfully completed half of a short squeeze and are free to move onto the next (when this happens, you are gonna see ALOT of people posting that "the squeeze is over" and "Okay bag holders are idiots") SIKE. Short volume decreases AND SIMULTANEOUSLY, Price begins its decline!?!?! This violates the "law" of shorting!!!! WTF?!?! Alright, if its just today, it must just be an accident in the reporting. Lets check the next days: May 21st: Cant make this shit up man. ANOTHER "LAW" violation? Shorting volume declines from 174 million down to 59 million. As per the law, short volume declines, then price should go up. However, another decline. Okay okay. So you get the idea now. Over the next few days (May 20th-May 28th) the pattern CONTINUES. Every day (almost) the short volume declines (or stays approximately equal) yet the price continues to decline!! Are you with me so far? At this point, I had to make posts reassuring everybody about their convictions. Had to bring yall up from the ashes. And try to hold onto what (seemingly) little you had left. I'm so so sorry that I couldn't be of more help. But I had to wait. I was waiting for something VERY specific to happen that tipped me off as to exactly what was happening. And that finally happened. But before we move onto that, we need to address why there was a decline during the time that HFs were "declining" in their short volume. Why was the "law" broken. And how did it affect daily trades. But first, here. You've followed along thus far. You earned it Here, listen to this while you eat your banana Okay, are we refocused? Now to the "rule" violation The question that needs answering: How can short volume decline AT THE SAME TIME that price declines? The answer.... is in loans. Thats right folks. HFs take out more loans to cover their shorts. These loans are generally offered up by hedge funds who didn't short the stock, and have the capital to cover their shorts. Ofc, the lender in these cases charge MUCH higher interest for these "loans" ASIDE: This is actually happening to GME right now. Somebody confirmed today that the companies vanguard and BlackRock make TONS of money "helping" other hedge funds out of their shorts. This is very confusing. But imagine it like this. If I borrow like 100 bananas to "short" the market on bananas, then the market on bananas gets squeezed, It is in my best interest to return my "shorted" bananas as quickly as possible to imply to the squeezers that their "squeeze" is over. Therefore, to accomplish this, I will have a buddy of mine LOAN me even more bananas, which I then return to "cover" my shorts without actually buying any. This makes make it look like I've returned all my "shorts" but will NOT raise the price of the company. However, think about how this can backfire should the squeezers discover that HFs took out more loans to "cover" their shorts (private and not as easily reported nor found). Should the squeezers discover this information, all they would need to do would be to simply wait it out longer. At some point, the, now, DOUBLE loans they took out need to be paid back TWICE. In essence, this strategy that hedge funds use buys them some time to continue to manipulate the market to show down trends in the share price in the hopes of scaring retail traders to sell. WELL I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT I FOUND THE LOAN NUMBERS AND CAN CONFIRM THAT THEY DOUBLED DOWN THIS WEEK!!!!! I even paid for ORTEX to look for it (you are welcome. I hope you all reimburse me) Graph 3 The new, private loans taken out are represented by the green line in that graph. The blue columns still represent shorted volume. As you can see, the number of loans SKYROCKETS once the price hits its rising point. Note: This graph ONLY shows NEW loans. Not existing ones. Notice that the number of new loans taken during the time when the short volume mysteriously disappears nearly EXACTLY matches the number of shares shorted. Coincidence? Conclusion from this post: Yes the price declined. Yes the short shares vanished But those two things DO NOT co-exist and violates what we simpletons know as the "law" of shorting. Therefore, we can conclude (and later I confirmed with ORTEX) that hedge funds made that short volume disappear by doubling down on their shorts behind the scenes. Now, I know I have 2 more things to address on this post. But i'm tired of DMing and explaining all day and my wife is tired of me ignoring her. Therefore, i can refer you to my post about "short ladder attacks" for why the price continued to drop until they hit a breaking point where you all got scared and sold. Y’all what the hell. My 15month girl has been accumulating signs of readiness for the past few months. I should mention we are currently moving every week or two for the next two months (but we have been back and forth often before and all the places are familiar to her) I was planning on waiting until we were home permanently, does that mean it’s not the right time? Or is it just me and we should go for it?
Well, MIL gave us a mini toilet that I had tucked away in the bathroom and she found it yesterday. She pulled it out and pointed and said PEEPEE. I've said it before, I'm saying it again, I probably will say it in future: I'm not a fan of CC. Perhaps I just hate timers in general, but when those timers are also paired with multilayered RNG, in a time-limited event - and on top of that, with the more "engaging" part of it being as tedious as cooking here is, I just can't. Kinda find myself frustrated and checked-out at the same time, which I'm not even sure should be a thing. And this time around in particular, I don't even feel the characters: the pairing is even more random than the previous ones, I can't even remember why Epel signed up for it, while Leona is... probably because it was the less pain-in-the-rear means to an end? Iunno. (I'd hope the vignettes give more insight, but I'm nowhere near yet.)
But just now something happened: out of nowhere, for reasons beyond me, Wrap & Rap just popped into my head as I was getting into the kitchen to grab another (disappointing) haul my excursion team brought back... So we expand and expand and expand our vocabularies, beliefs, philosophies, cultures and practices to create a word to describe the thing we are trying to understand. We create entire new concepts and mathematical theories around phenomenon we can't explain. Those who grew tired of old dogma will latch onto new symbolism and culturally appealing theories to quench their need to describe the thing they cannot understand. .
We have the words, but our histories and biases push us in the direction of thinking bigger, more, power, magic, divine and complicated. We seek to take in more and more information thinking it will give us the right perspective to reach or touch the divine. We create theories and beliefs to try to explain all the good and bad that happens to us. .
Everything is so much simpler than we are making it out to be. .
There is no time travel. You cannot predict the future. 5 dimensional space does not exist. No parallel timelines. There are no vibrations you need to adjust to reach a higher “level”. There are no levels. No one is better or worse than anyone. Your life events are not determined by past life events. You don't need to follow any kind of specific meditation method, any kind rituals or lifestyle practices. You were not born on another planet. You are not an alien trapped in a human body. Congratulations, you understand how everything was created, how god is able to just will anything to into existence, why time isn't real. The imagination has no limits. .
Part 3: What and how is consciousness .
Your higher-self, AKA you subconscious is the consciousness that is daydreaming that they are you. They are your parent. They are your creator. .
They imagine you/them-self through an unfathomable number of lives and species through an unfathomable number of experiences. There is no karma. One life is not influenced from the previous. The only aim is to collect experiences. These experiences can be anything anywhere. This is the point that you were born into your first experience of free-will. (Get it out of your head that there are some humans walking around with zero self-awareness or that we're a “higher” species of some kind. Don't even entertain applying eugenics to the equation). .
Part 4: The Meaning of Life. .
Our reality has strict physics. We are intentionally limited. Our timeline is accurate. It is to maintain the control of our growth. .
We are infants. Babies. .
We are here to prepare us to exist harmoniously with the collective (to join society in a manner of speaking). .
As stated above, there is no karma. Our lives are not determined by the previous life. Our goal is to gather as many experiences from as many perspectives as possible and share them with each other. .
If you do harm, you will experience the full impact that harm has caused to your fellow souls in your cohort upon your life review between each incarnation. This is the same with doing good. Everyone is connected. We have all committed atrocities. We have all done absolute horrible evil in past lives through our own free-will, no one has a “clean” soul. Welcome to thinking as a collective! Your higher-self, knowing you better than anyone will be re-entering your mind and showing the way of actively thinking with more than one mind. This is a two way interaction so get over yourself they aren't there to grant wishes or give you super powers. Don't worry, they will only do this with your consent and they will go as slow as you need to not overwhelm you. .
First. Understand the fundamental laws of creation, how they are applied and how to apply them.
a. Unconditional love – View others and yourself free from judgment. Treat everyone and yourself with the utmost compassion and understanding.
b. Free will – You have free will. So does everyone else. Do not violate the autonomy of others.

It helps immensely if you understand how everything is connected going back in time. .
You have to also apply these laws to your own life. To those in your life who have hurt you. To yourself and the things you regret and the things you hate about yourself. .
Your higher-self will match your personality. No need to be formal. Give them a nickname. Mine has a sense of humour (As I finished this paragraph she started playing “Imagine” for me on the Spotify AI DJ). Give them a nickname. Talk to them them often, out loud or in your mind. Whatever is comfortable to you. Just be sure to listen. They'll use symbolism, synchronicities, AI. Whatever works for you. Over time youll notice some odd behaviours in yourself and your perception and intuition, this is the beginning of them blending into you. This kind of for me stuck out to me a few times during my trilogy run, getting to see every named character...there's quite a few that I felt weird where they were and like it's either an idea that didn't quite pan out, or just kind of like...why? So I kind of wanted to run through a couple on my mind

- Admiral Kahoku - While he does kick off this whole beginning of knowledge about Cerberus in the first game, I kind of felt his death was really not touched upon in later games, especially when it concerned working with TIM, I felt Shepard should've at least mention him since his sidequest in ME1 was a pretty lengthy one at that.
- Eddie Lang - What was his purpose in the game, he just felt like a random NPC to create near C-Sec. I know he had a smidge of info talking about Harkin, but I've always felt like he's a character that felt incomplete or something was there but never touched upon?
- Finch, Zabaleta, Talitha - The characters you meet depending on your groundwork growing up, I felt like this was another idea that would've spanned out the rest of the series but you really don't hear from any of them again...
- Elanos Haliat - Considering he was the person that led the fight in the Skyllian Blitz, I thought he'd be a bigger antagonist versus what his sidequest ended up being. I did like the idea of trying to disarm the explosion three times, but then I didn't like having to roam blindly on the planet on foot trying to get back to the Mako...and then boom, a few shots, he's dead...Like for someone who did a lot of damage for Shepard (depending on the choice of your past). I expected more from this villain to be honest.
- Tonn Actus - While we're at that, doing Wrex's loyalty sidequest also felt like it should've been bigger? Like I don't know if there is a cutscene if you bring Wrex along, but when I didn't, there wasn't any and the outpost just ended up being any ole regular shootout. Like I would've enjoyed seeing some kind of scene where Wrex talks to Tonn, but uh yeah...Hell, Garrus' sidequest was cutscene (although Tali's was just killing Geth outposts...)
- Lilihierax - Obviously missed potential with the knowledge that he was supposed to act as a character than can lead us into doing something with the Mako. Just that odd conversation path that was never taken out (not even in LE either).
- Yaroslev Tartakovsky - What ended up is just him sitting in the middle of the room, still feels so strange of a scene and then getting killed off by Rachni. I think there should've been some build-up to running into him because otherwise, it just feels...bizarre to just stumble upon him in the middle of the room sitting in a chair...
- Ganto Imness - I had to wonder if maybe Ganto was at one point a potential squadmate as it seems like (you don't get any new squadmates from doing Virmire, for one thing) and that he seemed normal and whatnot but like after you free him, he just kind of disappears (kind of like the whole Spyro "THANK YOU FOR RELEASING ME, shtick). Hell, Ganto doesn't even appear in any of the other games...I just wonder if there was any...potential that was taken out or whatnot.
- Doctor Droyas - Of course this one is known, had more lines of dialogue but was scrapped, ending up being a stronger Krogan enemy with the name above, definitely was curious if this was going to be something for Wrex's arc.
- Charn - Going to give us a named Batarian in the DLC and not find a way to use him like they did with Balak? More of lost potential since while he was a bad guy, he knew he was way too deep with whatever Balak was planning.
- Vidinos - I almost said most of the characters introduced through the Pinnacle Station could've been added, but Vidinos was the rival character here with I would say the most characterization (maybe next to Ahern).
- Kenn - The Quarian you meet on Omega who ends up working under Harrot that you can pay for his ticket to fly away. Good deed, but it's kind of unfortunate that Kenn doesn't really return for anything else really.
- Kylan - Random Batarian that stops me from ending Afterlife...never understood the paragon check and it's more or less over and done with (I assume, if I didn't have enough or went Renegade, it would probably end with him dead). I don't this felt so oddball and random and wondered why the devs did this in the first place.
- Henner / Ogrinn - Dude helps you back on your feet after you're poisoned by Forvan, gets like one line and that's all he gets. Why give him a name if he was just going to be cutscene flavor? Made me curious, although I do think Ogrinn is also kind of in the same boat since he actually kills Forvan for you. This odd sidequest left me in confusion.
- John Whitson - The kid you stop from joining the Omega mercs at the beginning of the Archangel mission. It's kind of funny that they made a character that you can stop and tell them to not do it or let him join and get plucked off by Garrus. For whatever reason, Whitson kind of gave me Jenkins vibes. You do get a message back on the Normandy, but I couldn't help to wonder if he had more planned...wasn't mentioned in ME3 though...
- Seryna - The undercover Asari you meet that takes you to the Nassana Towers. She for some reason felt like a character they could've expanded on considering that she's cool and pretty down for her work. It's made stranger that after the end of the mission, Tana says she left a message saying she had work off-world. She didn't even come back for ME3 so this was a character that left me more intrigued.
- Niftu Cal - BIOTIC GODDDD! Honestly, could've gave us at least ONE Volus with a story arc to follow (not that Barla Von could've been expanded either), I just kind of wanted to see if they would do more since they do let him try to take down Wasea (but gets killed of course).
- Elnora - Ooops, letting this villainess go should've had more repercussions because uh she doesn't came back in the series sadly. I would say she ended up being a more dangerous threat than Wasea (until we fight her). I would've enjoyed a sidequest in ME3 that could've explored that some.
- Fortack - A Krogan scientist and yet never came back for ME3. Would've been exciting to have seen more considering the whole Genophage arc, maybe could've been an alternate choice instead of Mordin sacrificing himself (AKA giving the cure to him). Though it would've meant Fortack needed more attention in 2 to get to that kind of place.
- Mouse & Kolyat Krios - I felt these two were needing something since a lot of Thane is about him slowly dying and Mouse was never told that Thane was even going there and he was like another son to him so Mouse missing out is kind of weird to be honest. Kolyat though felt like more could've been done with him since most of ME3 is him mourning his Father's fate and the last prayers during the Citadel DLC. We know Kolyat was training to be like Thane, so...I don't know could've brought that to the table (maybe exact a revenge towards Kai Leng even...
- Ish & Sel - I think without context, doing their mission on Omega (you know, the icky fetch quest), this was just kind of meh and you only really talk to Ish. As you find out if you have Jacob or Miranda on your squad, there's obviously a connection made and I wish they followed through with Ish more since most fans wouldn't know he came from a mobile game? It's a nice nod to it, but there could've been more to it.
- Forzan vas Idenna - Basically the Quarian you have to protect while waves of varren attack. Quick sidequest, don't really even talk to her much, I think this was an oddball quest and kind of wish we got to know more Quarians (outside of Veetor, Kal'reegar and the other admirals).
- Diana Allers - Yes, yes, I know she isn't well-liked as a character in the series, but I've always found it weird that she was a recruitable member onto the Normandy, but her characters isn't fleshed out like the other non-squadmates (like Traynor and Cortez (who I remind debuted in the same game too). She was always like the last person to talk to and she didn't make the cut in the Citadel DLC oddly enough (but neither did Dr. Chakwas, Donnelly, Daniels, Adams, Campbell, Copeland, or Westmoreland). Yeah, I'm saying Allers should've been fleshed out way more and not just've been a Khalisah or Emily (although the latter died through Twitter posts >.>).
- General Corinthus - Maybe this was one I could've left off, but he is the first Turian you meet up with on Menae and talks quite a bit. I wanted to learn more about Menae and what they're trying to do, but of course we're send off to get to Garrus and later on find Adrien Victus. Plus, you do get a message from Corinthus on the Normandy, but still...
- Jondum Bau - One of the Spectres, you go on a bit of a sidequest with Kasumi Goto. Jondum is out trying to look for her thinking she's the culprit going around doing things which is his big goal but then we find out that it's Zymandis (a hanar) and that if Kasumi is with you she fakes her death which ends your time with Jondum. I think I had built up that any Spectre would make for a big mission, but nah this one isn't and you even trick him at that. I felt like jondum and Kasumi should've just had a big mission together.
- Sheerk - One of Aria's goons and he never really speaks and Aria only calls him by his name once. A little surprised it's a human considering back on Omega she's had Batarian, Vorcha, Turians, Salarian, and other Asaris work under her so seeing a human in her crew is a bit surprising. I am curious to why he's there.
- Darner Vosque, Gryll, Sayn - Since we did end up killing the leaders of the 3 mercenary groups on Omega, it seemed we have a new generation of leaders. It is weird that for two, we had to get rid of the current leaders to make way for the new ones. I just didn't know we needed to do such a thing.
- Jason Prangley, Padok Wiks, Urdnot Dagg - So the characters that acted as Jack, Mordin, and Grunt if any of them didn't make it to ME3. I think to just have them be lesser characters was kind of a cheap throw especially since all three end up dying in the end (Jason gets shot, Padok sacrifices himself, and the ReapeRachni kill Dagg). Like they are the epitome of "well, you should've had a saved game where Jack, Mordin, and Grunt as still alive). Jason and Padok do still appear in the game and they do survive but they're doing way less interesting things in comparison. Dagg is worse off because he doesn't really show up (maybe he doesn, but you can't talk to him).
- Major Coats - For a character that appears in the last act of the game, he came off like he should've played a more important role especially how he acts versus how little he actually does. I think people said he was in the first trailer of the 3rd game...so yeah if I had to say, there was something planned for Coats.
- Rolan Quarn - I think of the Citadel DLC, Rolan was the one that had me intrigued to know more about him especially since he's the only one that knew the Commander. Very slick and mysterious and that's a good reason for me to say, I feel like he should've been somewhere main game in an earlier game to be honest lol.

In my Google news feed, I often get updates on parts of animal ag just cos I like to be prepared for any arguments/conversations when the corpsemunchers bring stuff up. Anyway a recent article that popped up had a headline along the lines of "farmers upset over live export ban". And it made me think. Don't corpsemunchers preach about supporting local? Isn't there this whole sub-ethical identity around sourcing local foods?
One would think you'd even be able to put two and two together and be consistent in economics logic. If you really are for supporting local, you should be on the banning of live export band wagon. We get you don't understand how love and respect works for animals, but if you can really fail that hard at economy (something the majority of people should understand well enough) and not understand the hypocrisy on that topic, why should you be trusted with anything, let alone the lives of animals? Governing and guiding the future of our food industry?
I just don't understand how even the average person can't see this bullshit from a mile away. If you genuinely are in support of what's local, then you actually need to be prepared to give up things in the name of eradicating the import/export industry. Coffee beans, teas, honeys, herbs and spices, the copious amounts of amounts of animal fleshs and so many other exotic foods including foreign cuisine. If anything this whole support local garbage has unintended racist consequences as far as logical consistency goes. Particularly in the western world.
If anyone even says the word local to you in conversation about veganism, have a list of stuff they can't have based on that argument and if they're ready to give up so much for an argument built on such an ignorantly held belief (maybe even question whether veganism is really the restrictive lifestyle). Hi guys!! I hope you’re all well. I just want to say that I’m as new as it gets to dramione (or even fanfic. I’ve never read a fanfic in my life). I’ve only read 2 books of HP and have never even watched the movies so I don’t even know jf I can read fanfic about them but oh well.
The only that I know about this ship is that it’s Draco x hermione and that’s it. Its southern portion is a verdant land of semi-tropical forests that contains the Eight Kingdoms. The lofty peaks of the intertwining ranges of the Rainshadow, Thundershadow, Stormshadow, Lightning Shadow, and Hailshadow Mountains that form the stony spine of Kathamon divides these distinct biomes so decisively that each side of the mid continental divide might is practically a separate world. In the north, lapped by the chilly waters of the Inner Sea of Cadmusia, the Isle of Karmathag stands as an isolated outpost of civilization, home to the settlements of Minikog, an outpost of the barbarian Kadyrian tribes, and the town of Namir's Rest, a dependency of the Kingdom of Ceracal. Of late, the peace of the Isle of Karmathag has been threatened by the forces of Samagsmolyandolsomanodolonta, the Frostbite Tyrant, a vile white dragon from the far northern continent of Plegilon. The merciless wyrm directs his armies of frost orcs and trolls and yeren to locate the Hidden Well, a mana lake of immense size and nigh infinite power from which the Frostbite Tyrant intends to draw forth the necessary power to condemn all lands of the living to an eternal chill...
I'm checking interest for a homebrew that would run in the EST time zone either early morning (3am) or early evening (7pm) on Wednesday.
Here's the catch -- I haven't settled on a system yet and am willing to be slightly flexible (though any form of 5e and PF2e are a hard 'no' -- This is not a 5e game. I will not run this in 5e), as long as it's easy to model the fluff ideas I have like most races have were/lycanthropic or elemental forms and various forms of scifi technology and unusual forms of magic (as well as having a way to share rules that doesn't involve pdfs that have personal metadata in them -- I have plenty of stuff from rpg drivethru, but I'm not comfortable sharing pdfs with my personal email and a purchase number watermarked on every page with strangers on the internet -- in other words, it doesn't matter if one person in the group has a specific resource, there needs to be an easy way to share all the rules materials that are needed for the game). My original plan had been to use the AGE system, but the amount of homebrewing and the lack of pre-existing mechanical options/templates for a lot of my ideas just ended up making it a poor fit. I was thinking of perhaps Mutants and Masterminds 3e PL12 with the 'infinite power points' option from the game master's guide. Here are some other options I've thought of/would consider:
-Palladium megaversal (rifts) -Some kind of point buy/generic d20 system like True20 or Anime d20 -A custom crunchy version of the open d6 system -RolemasteSpacemaster -Savage Worlds -Some kind of a mixture of Earthdawn and Shadowrun

The deep history of this homebrew is that it appears to be a normal fantasy setting on first glance, but deep down it's probably more like Numenera or a similar 'sufficiently advanced' science kind of setting. The basic concept is is a planet in the very middle of the Boötes Void that's isolated from the rest of the galaxy. It was colonized many millennia or millions of years ago by some kind of human or post-human society, but most of this technology has been forgotten and is currently confined to 'vaults' deep underground and their 'vaultcraft' or 'vaultwear, which are considered to be quasi magical to the degree they are understood at all. The 'dragons' might be dinosaurs subjected to genesplicing and injected with alien DNA a long time ago -- your character would have no idea about that, it's just background. The current state of affairs appears, on the surface, to be a magical arctic setting, except the 'deep explanation' for most of the phenomena is some kind of 'sufficiently advanced' technology = magic similar to Numenera. Most of the 'monsters' are genesplicing experiments of various sorts and the 'magic' is nanotech or something like biotics in Mass Effect. the 'dragons' are probably dinosaur genespliced with alien DNA by ancient 'genemathematicians'/'genehermeticists'
The initial campaign premise is that you're going to start out in a town (Frostfang) that's built around two fangs of a city-sized dead dragon (or dragon-statue, no one is really sure). The town has two trade partners -- a barbarian hunting camp on an island and another, larger, fortified town that's a colony of one of the Eight Baronies of the south. The feel/ambience is similar to Skyrim and and Ralph Bakshi's 'fire and ice'. There's an ancient tomb on a mountain overlooking the starting town -- similar to Bleakfalls Barrows in Skyrim.
The continent north of the starting zone is much more ice age/primeval and primarily consist of the disparate 'thouman/kurulthaag' of the maalisans, white orcs, and yeren -- their semi nomadic empires, established on the bones of a more ancient elven civilization, are the dominions of the Snowflake Tyrant. The area (on the northern shore of the starting continent) has a number of other factions/areas/events going on -- the yeren (yeti) empire of the northern continent of Phlegilon/Plegilon is one of the main servitors of the Frostbite Tyrant -- a mysterious creature that's similar to King Ghidorah in Godzilla. He was awoken from a deep ice tomb miles beneath the earth by crazed archeologists who became his first cultists. He seems to have abilities similar to the Legion of Everblight from Iron Kingdoms in that he has a despoiling aura that can be used to extend his conscious presence into servitors, including the yeren priest-king Azkoog the Indominable.
The forces of the yeren and the white orcs (bolgazog/bulazuur), and the 'wild men' (mallisan) have set up several forward camps in the starting zone and are pushing inwards looking for the purported location of the mana-well sought by their draconic god. There's also another dragon lord known as Kamabuzda that lives in the depths of the oceans between Kathomon and Pheligon/Plegilon/Phelgilon that's also looking for the mana-well and has its own legions of deformed servitors.
There are two different 'genealogies' or 'species' of races based on what exotic sci-fi fuel polluted their area in the past -- one set are 'were kint' that have mischwesen (mixed animal, like neo-assyrian sheddim/griffins or centaurs) or similar beastial forms. The other are 'mana kint' -- possessing elemental forms. The basic concept would be that with certain triggers characters can assume there manamorph or weremorph.

- Varidan/Varidoran: The main primary ethnic group of the Varadian Republic that used to rule the Eight Baronies of southern Kathomon. An industrious, mercantile people that are also highly militaristic. Their cultures is a mix of medieval Iberia, Venice, as well as ancient Rome and Macedon. Their capital of Thal-amun-Varidoth is similar to Lankhmar.
- Cheirsulari: The druidic and hunter-gatherer peoples who form the original population of the Barony of Gaulsir, of which the township of Frostfang (Chorachost) is a colonial dependency. Their culture has a Finnish/Celtic aesthetic.
- Osalavdun: Pale-skinned, bald -- believed to have 'elder blood' from the prehistoric civilization of the enigmatic Glassspinners. Live in isolated clans in the mountains of the Shalar Region.
- Malisan/Maalisan: The so-called 'wild men' of the northern continent of Plegilon. They are similar to historical neanderthals and are believed to have interbred with yeren and orcs. They are renowned for their great strength and skill at hunting. At least some clans are rumored to be matriarchal theocracies ruled by half-breeds known as Lammia or Lammazu which combine the genus of a sabre-toothed tigre or similar predator with that of a Malisan amazon.
- Cryoraptors: Blue-scaled dinosauroids who once ruled an empire centered on the present-day ShalaSalar Region. They ruled in the name of Slaaniatar the Maiden of Pain and Pleasure. A civil war with their dragon-angels and the followers of Asaelen, mistress of light, destroyed their empire. Many undead inculabulsan -- the pain priests of Slaaniatar -- remain entombed in the ancient barrows of the Cryoraptorian civilization, including the edifice that grimly overlooks the isolated settlement of Frostfang (Chorachost). Any player characters of this race will probably be descendants of the upstart adherents of Asaelen.
- Xollital/Xoxolitol: Blue and purple ice salamanders. The previous 'chosen people' of Slaaniatar that were replaced when their dragon-angel fell from the favor of the goddess known as the Hungry One. They currently live in subterranean caverns. A small number are explorers. Many have abandoned their worship of Slaaniatar and now venerate a pantheon of eight hero deities, most of whom are tricksters.
- Mimkin: White mink bipeds. Tricksters, traders, caravan folk. They are scavengers that live in clans on the edge of the northern townships. They acknowledge no absolute law except their own, including the 'civilized' notion of private property.
- Ice gnomes/Ukkanaq: Ram-horned peoples who live on the highest peaks of mountains. They are renowned as mystics and seers, as well as masters of gemnomancy. They were previously slaves of the Xollital and Cryoraptors.
- Snowflake Elves: Mysterious adherents of the snow dragon goddess Tzamakaga and her council of 'white women'. Extremely white--blindingly white, skin with blue, pink, and purple veins and blood and hair. They are famed for their knowledge of snow magic, which combines elements of illusion and cryomancy, as well as their three-headed arctic fox-hunting steeds. Tzamakaga is considered to be a trickster and inter-dimensional traveler. She is currently believed to have departed on a tour of the nearby stars for an unknown purpose.
