Previously, I used a GeForce GTX 3070 without any issues in Star Citizen or other games. After installing the new GPU, my desktop environment experience was great; however, I encountered difficulties running Star Citizen, The Witcher, and V Rising (the only ones I've tested). Star Citizen crashes with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET, and I observed journal errors like "[amdgpu] ERROR ring gfx_0.0.0 timeout, but soft recovered." The other two games load but seem to have issues with shader rendering. I've tried various troubleshooting steps, including updating to the latest amdgpu drivers and kernel version (6.9.1-arch1-1) on X11. I also experimented with different runners and DXVK configurations, but the problem persisted. Interestingly, by lowering my GPU clock from the default 2485 MHz to 2300 MHz and my VRAM clock to 1080 MHz, I could achieve stable gameplay in Star Citizen, though the shader issues persist in The Witcher and V Rising. The problem occurs regardless of whether I use Wayland or X11. For reference, I have installed Star Citizen on Ubuntu with the same crashes and issues. On Windows, the game runs better, though I experienced one crash, not sure if it was graphics-related. Here are my installed packages:

I've noticed, in recent years, that Mojang has been getting a lot of intense criticism for some of the things they added to the game. Phantoms come to mind instantly as an example of a hated addition, but other additions like pandas and fletching tables have also been heavily criticized for being useless, and there are certain gameplay imbalances like overpowered villagers that are slammed as broken mechanics.
I think a lot of this criticism is, in fact, very justified. Hate should be avoided, but constructive critique of a game is important. I completely agree with many of the critiques I've seen of Minecraft's updates.
However, complaining constantly about new updates is also not that healthy. Hence this post. I just want to bring a bit of positivity and discuss some of the mobs or items we got in recent years that I think really benefited the game. I welcome any additions in comments, too, as I'm sure there are many things that I'll miss. Setting 1.13 as my arbitrary cutoff for 'newer updates', here are some really great additions that we got:
Striders - Traversing the Nether's tricky terrain, especially early game, is a monumental task, and exploration can be painfully slow. Now we have a cute, creaky mob that can help us travel the great lava oceans in style.
Lightening rods - Lightning has long been one of the most random, unfortunate occurrences to ever strike a person's base. No longer! We now have the power to direct Zeus's bolts to wherever we desire, using a rather aesthetic block in the process.
Tridents - Very difficult to get, and don't do much damage, but the enchantments you can get on them are very handy. Riptide is good by itself and also pairs super well with elytra, and channeling is really neat all around, especially when you want mob heads.
Light conditions for monster spawns - Light used to be a much larger problem than it is now. Not only do we now have the power to block monster spawns with fewer torches, near-darkness can be used strategically in buildings to create cool effects.
Light blocks - Speaking of light, we now have actual blocks of pure luminescence! Of course this is just a creative only thing, but yay! No more hiding glowstone under the carpet!
Bubble columns - These things are so useful for vertical movement. They perfectly balance the effort in making them with the reward of using them.
Debug stick - This one might be a bit more niche, and I expect most people don't use it, but I find this to be really handy when building in creative, and you can do a lot of cool tricks with it that you would need glitches or commands for otherwise.
April fools updates - These really make me look forward to April 1st. They really are rather unpolished, but I love them anyway.
Moss - A really nice block overall. Useful for digging out large areas, bonemeal-able, compostable, aesthetic, and most importantly, no more using vines in the crafting recipe of mossy cobblestone!
Honey blocks - These are awesome in redstone flying machines, and their other interesting properties, like aesthetics, player slowing, smaller-than-a-full-cube hitbox, and jump-reduction capability make them cool and useful, if a little niche, blocks overall.
Command updates - There are too many to list here even if I knew all the changes, but it is easy to forget that over the course of many updates, we got a huge heap of changes to commands. New syntax, new gamerules, more flexibility, etc.
Brown mooshrooms - I honestly thought these were always in the game. I couldn't believe it when I saw they were added as late as 1.14. Useful? No not really, unless you love suspicious stew. I just really love these guys for some reason. :)

I recently listened to President Eyring’s talk from the April General Conference, as well as many other recent talks surrounding temple blessings and covenants. I never noticed this before, but promises of temple covenants and attendance totally negate promised blessings at baptism.
At baptism, you are promised to have the gift of the Holy Ghost with you at all times. Taking on Christ’s name and following his example also saves you, getting you into heaven, or the celestial kingdom. But those things aren’t good enough. You need an extra layer. Extra blessings. Higher exaltation.

If this father was to never go through the temple, is he still going to heaven to just aimlessly wander, never finding or being with his family? And how sad is it that this doctrine brings such sorrow to those who truly believe! The doctrine of eternal families is only joyful when all make a unified choice and never waiver.
With the emphasis President Eyring, and many other church leaders continually make, that temples bring more peace, power, direction, spirituality, comfort, et cetera; why have temples been so inaccessible to people all around the world? If the work for the dead is so urgent, why aren’t there as many temples as there are church houses?
If these blessings are so essential, temple work for the living and dead should be accessible to all members. No fancy, $100M building required. If the people of the Old Testament were able to do their sacred practices in a traveling tent, members of the church should be able to do the same with humble means.
But this is not the case. The work is not urgent. If it was, it would be more effective and accessible. If the EXTRA blessings of temple worship and covenant making was necessary, it would be top priority for all members no matter where they are.

I've been on and off collecting chaos space marines and now with the new codex I want to get back into them.
I've come up with an idea about using some of the 30k mark IV power armour marines and getting the heavy and special weapons for them and running them as Legionaries.
Basically I am making a custom warband that was part of the iron warriors but during the age of terra they took massive amounts of losses and had to retreat.
They got lost in the Warp for 10-11 thousand years (if this is stupid let me know) and basically they are a fleet bound warband who still have 30k tech.
So I could run kratos tanks as predators and I've made a praetor with power weapon my chaos lord and he's on a 40mm base instead of the 32mm he's meant to be on.

I am playing badminton for some time now. My placement of smashes is also good. But my smashes have not so much power. So i rely mostly on placement. I guess i dont use my wrist power coz i dont know to do it. I had watched videos also. I also know in my conscious mind that i will use my wrist but i cant and the smashes are still very weak. It just makes me less confident about myself.
Also when i try to smash, a slow motion action of how should i take the shot plays in the back of my mind. And may be thats why i play the shot, SLOW.
Could that be the case?

- First and foremost, I actually really like that RY didn’t make Violet ramble on and on about Xaden’s 🍆 LOL. This reads hilariously now that I’m typing it out.

- I also love how sex isn’t seen as shameful in this series. Sure, they are in college but no one is getting slut shamed. Many of the riders have hooked up with each other. No one judges. It’s not made into some big deal (except for when it’s with Xaden and Violet obviously but they are the main focus). People be fucking. All types of folks are sexually liberated in this series and we haven’t really been introduced to a gross power imbalance in the bedroom so far. Violet is confident and experienced and not insecure. We don’t count the Cat comments in this regard because the shit she said would make anyone rattled and that happens later.

I watched the OG X-Men as a kid, but not all of it. Liked it enough to come back and watch X-Men97! And here's my very personal (and likely unpopular take): it looked like a bunch of glorious nonsense to me.
I feel like the showrunners expect a level of knowledge about not only the original show but also the Marvel comics that is sort of crazy. As a semi-layperson to the past 30 years of Marvel comics, I literally only had the most basic of ideas of what was going on in any given episode. Simple things like "this is suddenly a bad guy, the X-Men are fighting them" I got. But often anything more specific than that was lost on me. There is pretty much zero handholding or explaining and the episodes are paced super-quickly with things happening "suddenly" and without much explanation.
Everyone here is so super-excited to predict what's coming in the future and list off all the easter eggs that I literally can't find a simple explanation/recap of the episodes. "What happened in Episode 10?" gets me "oh man, Onslaught incoming" (not helpful, just adds more lore I don't know) and "did you guys see that millisecond of [rare Marvel character]?" (not helpful).
I understand so little of what went on, I don't even know what questions to ask you. But I can tell you that for Ep. 10 alone: I don't understand a lot about Bastion, I don't get why "the world is going to end in 12 hours!!", I don't get power scaling AT ALL in this cartoon (Jubilee does damage that Rogue couldn't do?), I don't understand why no one was shooting while Bastion was stuck under a Sentinels foot for like 3 solid minutes even though you had some serious firepower there, I don't understand why everyone forgives Rogue instantly for, well, going Rogue, and I REALLY don't understand why everyone's okay with Professor X's mind-rape ("Charles, please!" really felt icky).
I know I'll be insta-killed for having any complaints at all about what people are calling the best Marvel content in the history of the world, but to me it was beautiful, fun, and almost totally incomprehensible. Every time I look up explainer videos, they're so focused on connecting what happened to what they predict might happen in the future that no one's bothering to just explain what happened in the episode I was watching! Does anyone have any good remedial resources that aren't all about easter eggs and future guesses?

I'm two sessions into the campaign and have finally read up to Chapter 9. From what I gather, Chapters 2-3 would greatly benefit from having the PCs' backstories and goals woven in while foreshadowing late-game elements like the Kraken Society or Iymrith. I'd like to somehow tie their personal quests in with the richest and most memorable elements of the campaign. Here's what three of my players have given me so far:
* A character whose sister has been drained of life/petrified and needs a powerful magical item to restore her to health. He has also witnessed a secret murder plot between Kraken Society members who have infiltrated positions of power in the Zhentarim, and they have framed him for the murder in order to silence him. * An elderly nobleman and widower from Goldenfields with two adult children who in his retirement has become a sort of evangelist for a homebrew god. * Someone hoping to do good for the common people, compel sinners to repent and convert to his homebrew faith, and permanently aquire greater wisdom through some kind of dramatic or magical means.
You all are familiar with the coolest elements of the campaign. Off the top of your head, what details could I add to help tie them into the campaign and foreshadow what's ahead?
