Touchbar issues

Hi guys, massively desperate to squeeze the maximum of my pro’s life left before I buy a new one in a month.
As we all know the touchbar has been acting up and up until yesterday my laptop was running even though the touchbar was black. As of yesterday evening I’m stuck in kernel panics because I’m getting no successful check in from the touchbar daemon - I was wondering if renaming/unloading the touchbar deamon will resolve this issue? I just need a temporary fix. If yes, has anybody had any success with renaming/moving the .plist file? I’ve logged in through recovery, sudo doesn’t make a difference since recovery logs me as a root user, I’ve mounted on the target disk, tried mount -uw / but the .plist file won’t budge from being read only.
Any help is appreciated, surviving a month without a laptop isn’t the worst but if I can I’d love to avoid that scenario

Welcome Earthers to our final discussion of Leviathan Wakes. And what an ending it was! If you want to catch up on any previous discussions, you can find the schedule here and marginalia here. Otherwise let's dive in!
Chapter 48: Miller – Miller and crew arrive at Eros. Protogen’s involvement with the station has become public knowledge (and surprisingly it wasn’t Holden that told everyone) which has shifted the blame to the corporation and put the Earth-Mars war on hold. Miller and the OPA team strategically place fusion bombs on Eros and their return transport arrives, but Miller tells Diogo he’s staying behind. The next day, he heads to the outside of Eros and awaits the Nauvoo’s impact, with the Eros’ feed and his imaginary Julie keeping him company. But just before the collision, Eros shouts, “Don’t you fucking touch me!” and dodges out of the way!
Chapter 49: Holden – Understandably, everyone on the Rocinante is like WTF just happened!? Naomi explains that it can’t be magic because whatever Eros just did to move seven thousand trillion tons of rock wasted energy which they can see. So you know, just really fucking advanced science, but not magic! Eros then disappears off the radar but continues to move towards Earth at high speed. Holden and the UNN Escort Vessel agree to temporarily put their differences aside and chase Eros. Holden calls Fred and says this is a great opportunity to get everyone to work together before they all turn into vomit zombies. Fred tells Holden to call Miller and get the remote detonation codes to the bombs on Eros to maybe buy them some time.
Chapter 50: Miller – Miller tells Holden he’s still on Eros, somehow not feeling the insane movement and just hanging out upside down like a bat. Of course Holden wants to rescue Miller, but he’s like, “No bro, you get why I’m here,” and Holden drops it. Miller decides the best bet is to take the fusion bombs inside Eros to whatever is controlling it. Naomi sets him up a dead’s man switch, so now Miller has to somehow drag these heavy ass bombs around without ever lifting his finger off a button for more than 5 seconds. Miller tells Holden his last wish is to find Julie’s parents and figure out their link to Protogen, and then heads into Eros.
Chapter 51: Holden – Eros continues to travel faster and faster, and it is impossible for the Rocinante to keep up without causing serious physical damage or killing everyone on board. Fred calls and says that Earth has forgiven him after learning that he had nothing to do with Eros and, in fact, Protogen hated him. Holden doesn’t have the patience to congratulate Fred on his personal gains since his organs are about to explode. Fred says that Earth is going to launch its entire nuclear arsenal at Eros, but needs the Rocinante to bounce a laser off it so they can use its targeting system to guide their missiles. This means the crew would need to put the ship on autopilot and sacrifice themselves, which Holden isn’t super keen to do. He tells Fred he’ll think about it, but then immediately stops the ship because he refuses to let his crew (especially Naomi) die. Naomi heard everything Fred said and isn’t pleased with Holden’s decision. But no fear, he has a back-up plan! If they turn back on the OPA freighters attached to Eros, they can use their transponders to track Eros. The nukes are successfully launched and everyone’s happy until Miller calls sand says there’s a problem.
Chapter 52: Miller – It’s a struggle, but Miller manages to get into Eros which is now filled with human corpse crust and luminescent dots in the air. He realizes that to find whatever is powering the ‘ship’, he should use temperature to guide him to the hot spot. As he progresses deeper, he hears Eros talk about taking the ‘razor back’ and Miller has the biggest lightbulb moment – Julie is alive and she’s the brain of the protomolecule!
Chapter 53: Holden – Miller tells Holden to check all his vitals to clear that he’s not physically going crazy before dropping the bomb that Julie is the one driving Eros to Earth. He argues that the original protomolecule was meant to infect single-celled organisms. It is now being forced to improvise as it’s infected much more complex creatures so is using Julie and her brain as a template. Miller doesn’t think the protomolecule wants to wipe out humanity, since humans didn’t even exist when it was first launched, so if he can only speak to Julie (or what’s left of her), he can convince her to take Eros away from Earth. He agrees that if he can’t get through to her with words, he’ll use the bomb and blow up Eros, but he needs Holden to buy him some time. Naomi comes up with a plan to deflect the missiles in an arc shape and trick the UNN to not realizing what’s happening. They pitch their plan to Fred who immediately rejects it, but Holden offers him the protomolecule sample in exchange which is too good to pass up. Holden tells Miller the plan is on and that they should take Eros to Venus.
Chapter 54: Miller – Miller is looking for Julie while trying not to go insane. Visions of Holden, Havelock and Muss guide him to the backup environment control room where he finds Julie’s body. He wakes her up, introduces himself and explains the situation. Miller removes his suit helmet, letting the protomolecule infect him, and convinces Julie to head to Venus.
Chapter 55: Holden – Holden wakes up from a nightmare to a call from the UNN ship. They’ve learned about the deflected missiles and the Rocinante is in big trouble. McBride tells Holden he’s got ten minutes to deactivate the false transponders or else she’s shooting them down. Before a battle can break out, Eros reappears on the radar and everyone can see it’s heading away from Earth. It crashes into Venus, saving all of humanity from becoming vomit zombies (for now at least).
Epilogue: Fred – After the Eros crash, tensions are still high among Earth, Mars and the Belt. Fred is about to deliver a speech with the aim to establish peace between all parties. The protomolecule is NOT dead things are happening on Venus, like two kilomtere high crystal towers. So Fred’s hidden sample is the best option for finding a solution to protect humanity. Holden appears and asks if Fred can help him and his crew get amnesty and keep the Rocinante. He also wants Fred to talk about the real Miller and not turn him into a heroic Belter icon. Before his speech, Fred is tempted to go Holden’s way but ultimately labels it a “noble way to fail,” and carries on with his original plan, using Miller’s sacrifice as a tool to try and unite humanity.

Butttttt get them all siwa , commentate on every live , get all the super chats , they done you dirty and I hope you do use this to keep going , I listened for the first time to a little of siwa , I hadn't listened to her in a long time.
And wtf JJ the flea and Drazo are so insane, all JJ is mainly upset about is her revenue dried up after she started on the fleas streams regularly, then she just got jealous of anyone having a relationship with him and it snowballed !

I am so glad that so many are seeing JJ for who she really is and has always been, to the people who are still with JJ I hope your remembering to change into your sock accounts when you go into other chats, you know she will go at you next ! 2024.06.01 11:21 Rain_Healthy Forge Installation Error (javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:sun.security.validator...)
After countless attempts at downloading libraries and such which were missing, I got past the library error and now this pops up as soon as I begin the forge installation.

Failed to run processor: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested targetI tried reinstalling Java completely, I tried updating it from configure java but nothing worked.

Myself(m32) and my girlfriend(f31) have been together for 4 months, still early I know. Back story we work in the same job but in different areas of the country and over the past few years have had many close encounters but nothing ever happened even though we have both admitted since that we both liked eachother for a very long time.
So eventually we did connect and we went on our first date and it was amazing, it was only a walk around a park but after that first date I just knew this girl was the one! It was something I couldnt explain. From that day we couldnt get enough of eachother, we were speaking all the time and seeing eachother whenever we could. Life was amazing, we were only together for 2 months before we both confessed that we loved eachother.
Ive had several really bad relationships in the past and been screwed over so many times in my life that I had these defensive walls up but she got those walls down and I let her in quicker than I ever thought I would have. She told me all the things I needed to hear and it really just made me love her even more, for the first time she made me feel like I was good enough.
My girlfriend also has a young son who is 6 years old and whenever she first asked me how I would feel about meeting him I told her Im more than happy to meet him but it has to be when shes ready and she is comfortable with that happening. So a few weeks later she decided it was time, we went a day out to a kids inflatable park place and I got on great with him right from the start. I feel like her son really took to me well and we could clearly tell that! She said she had only ever introduced him to 2 other guys she dated and he never really had an interest in them nor did they with him. Whereas I make an effort to bond with him, I build his lego with him, draw with him, play in the garden with him.. hes asked a few times that I read him his bed time story, if we watch a movie he wants to sit next to me on the couch.. and probably the biggest thing on 2 seperate occassions he introduced me to one of his friends as his step dad(we have never mentioned anything like this so its entirely came from himself) which we both found funny and my girlfriend even said well clearly he does like me. Ive grown really fond of him and hes an added bonus to my life, I feel like im in a lucky position that I get an amazing girlfriend and along with that comes an amazing new wee pal.
Now in regards to her son, I asked her if she had told his dad about me yet because I think its respectful to do so.. if it was me Id like to know if there was a new man around my child. She said she hadnt yet but she was going to soon. I was happy at that. With things going as well as they were, we started talking and planning alot of future stuff together. So we have a city break booked at the end of June, a load of tickets for shows etc that are all for both of us and her son, we have a log cabin stay booked for just the 2 of us and later in the year we decided to fully commit to an actual week holiday away and again we are taking her son with us. Booking this holiday made me ask the question again if she had told his dad about me yet because now its not just a new guy around the house, hes literally coming away on holiday with us.. well she still hadnt told him because he was being civil and communicating well with her and she knew when she told him he would change.
This leads us pretty much to where we are now.. the big turn in all of this. Out of the blue from absolutely nowhere she tells me she thinks this has all moved too fast and alot of it seems to be revolving around her saying she shouldnt have let me meet her son as soon as she did and that it was a poor parenting decision on her part. Now I’ll agree it moved fast but it wasnt forced it just happened! And part of me thinks that actually speaks volumes about the connection we have, she speaks to me all the time about us getting married and having kids of our own and this life we want together.
And now nothing! She says she needs space from me, she barely replies to my texts but when I asked her she said she still wants to be with me but it feels like shes just saying that. This girl has went from making me feel things ive not felt in a very long time and feeling things ive never felt before to practically overnight being completely different.
Im thinking its involving her sons dad, I think he has maybe heard perhaps from her son.. hes maybe mentioned the holiday and hes asked whos going and hes said his mum and me.. and thats how hes found out! God forbid if hes asked who I am and the son has said im his step dad because I know I wouldnt be happy if that happened to me! Maybe the dad has kicked off at her and told her shes a terrible parent like he had in the past and shes thought maybe she has done the wrong thing.. who knows.
All I know is right now im stuck in this limbo not knowing whats happening.. we have all these trips planned booked and paid for and Ive no idea if we are going or not! My head is all over the place and I can seem to get a straight answer from her but I also dont want to push her.

Thanks to everyone who replied - I really appreciate your comments and insights. I have decided to take a different approach altogether and thought I would share it.
Instead of monitoring I/O in between the process pipeline, I have decided to monitor I/O outside of the pipeline by using the gopsutil module. This works because I will be able to get the PID of the process that I want to interrogate.

I’m about to take the Network+ and am already thinking about tackling CCNA right after while the basics are still fresh. Say I had Network+ concepts down completely front to back. How far along am I percentage wise in terms of content already covered when I begin studying for the CCNA? What is the average timespan you guys spend studying before feeling ready?

Hi everyone, totally new here as I've never done anything like this before.
I have a pretty solid idea for a web-based learning game which would be pretty similar in style and accessibility to the JeopardyLabs site (I have no affiliation with them but I've used the game many times and it's wonderful). It's a very different game in its play and functionality but the general idea of its simplicity aligns with JeopardyLabs.
It's a game I've been using and developing as an ESL teacher for the last 6 years. It's a very simple game and although I've used it only for ESL education, the game template itself is plain enough that it could easily be used for just about any subject. I've taught thousands of students in my time and they have pretty unanimously loved it, from primary to high school age. Many of my colleagues and friends have begun using it in that time too. So that gave me the idea that it might be something worth pursuing as a startup. I've also searched around and didn't find any other web-based games like this.
Similar to JeopardyLabs, I want it to be mainly free and for anyone to be able to create a new game which would automatically be put into a database which users can then search through for games created by others. Eventually I want to add a premium membership feature which would allow users to pay a one-off fee in order to make an account and have access to more game-customisation features.
Problem is, I have absolutely no experience with either front or back-end development. I'm currently getting some quotes from full-stack developers on Fiverr to build a prototype site. I also have no experience in creating a website, company, copyright or anything else regarding startups.
I want to ask if you guys have any advice about this. The idea of the game is pretty complete and solid but I need to know what other things I need to consider.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated and thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I read the malware advice that is posted here, and I have followed all of those steps. I have been dealing with a NASTY virus that no matter what, comes back within a day or two on both my pc and my laptop. My scans have located them (currently 11 pup files) in my google chrome folder in various locations, so I assumed uninstalling chrome would work to fully rid of them. Apparently not. I just scanned my pc again after uninstalling chrome, and now the files have moved to my microsoft edge. I'm at a loss here because it all started from a steam scam attempt made on me/my laptop. I'm genuinely scared of these too because I woke up last night to my pc being on and logged into after not using it for over 24 hours (when it sleeps which is fairly quick if you don't use it, you must sign in, so waking up to it being open was super scary). Do I just need to wipe both my pc and my laptop? The issue started, to my knowledge, on my laptop. The same pup files showed on my pc a day later. I have continuously been scanning my devices, and it has only been about a week since it has started, but it seems to show more frequently than before. Any help/advice on this situation would be incredibly helpful.

Bugs:
- Barrage stops when it kills something. This happened every time so it should be easy to reproduce
- I couldn't reproduce this bug, but there was one time where I could suddenly see all combat areas including many I haven't unlocked yet. Switching to another tab and going back fixed this and it hasn't happened since. Still I wanted to report ist.
- The market could have an option "sell" in the bottom left, like the workshop has "recipes" to directly sell stuff from your inventory. It would be intuitive to sell from the market, but currently you always have to sell from the inventory.
- Reordering in the market / workshop would be really nice. When I queue 3 things to craft but then realize I want to have one before the other so I can sell it for example, I always have to cancel the task and requeue them. It would be really nice to have the option of simply reordering your queue.
- locking in tavern locks all recruits, it would be really nice to have the option to lock just one of them, so you can still cycle recruits but keep one of them you really want.
- Item details show the drop location under "source" but it would be really nice to have a list of enemies there that can drop the item. To prevent spoilers this list could only be unveiled when enemies actually drop it, but once it has dropped you would know.
- Drop chances would be really really appreciated and since they probably differ per enemy they could be in this list as well.
- There could also be a "codex" or something like that where you can look up all previoulsy encountered enemies and see their stats / potential drops, so you can plan your team around a dungeon boss without having to screenshot their stat screen.
- The "builds into" normally is "hidden until found" but the interaction here is a bit inconsistent. For example I haven't crafted a Skull Candle yet and it doesn't tell me what it can build into, however, when I look at the Iron Ingots I can see that the Skull Candle builds into the burning Censer. Maybe this List should include recipes you have unlocked through another material.
- Mana and Life in combat: It would be really nice to be able to see how much current life my units have. Maybe when you click on them it says currentHP/maxHP? Same goes for mana. I understand that you maybe don't want numbers under the units to prevent visual clutter (could still be an optional setting) but at least in the unit stat screen it would be nice to see. Same goes for enemies
- It would also be great to have all their current statuses listed in the stat screen, together with an explaination of what those statuses do, because currently you can only know what a status does by looking at the enemies and reading their passive, which might not even be an option when the enemy is dead or you get a status from a trap.
- Area Progression is only visible in the log but nowhere else. When I check my eternal battlefield I have to wait potentially for several fights until a whisp shows up and then I have to wait for it to die to see how much my whisp quest has progressed. Maybe that information together with progress to the next area / dungeon should be avaliable somewhere else (also the killing of 150 whisps seems to be taking several days and you cannot withdraw your units even once to do a dungeon or it resets, maybe this progress shouldn't reset?)
- I don't feel queue slots for market / workshop are particularly useful, especially considering their price. I initially thought each slot would work at the same time, but since it's only a queue it's a small QoL feature that's not worth the high prices imo.
- Money builds up REALLY slow, and it will take weeks to get a full raid team without spending real money.
- The different classes are the best part for me and I just wish you had more slots in general so you could see more of them.

Where do I even start it’s when a performance ticket gets assigned to me or I get asked to look at server performance issue I essentially panic just to myself no one else sees me panicking I try to think logically at first and guess what issue could be but then I’m like no I need to talk with user to show me what’s happening during a screen share or sometimes they can’t even show me what’s happening that makes things even harder and it’s never one server to look at it’s always like web server and database server or some other server that’s doing different task so I’m always second guessing myself where I should look first I can only look at server resources at certain times and I can’t spend hours looking at this issue as I’ve got other tickets with SLAs and projects waiting for me to resolve I’d happily spend hours looking at what issue could be then I get imposter syndrome should take me this long to figure out issue am I not qualified enough or smart enough to figure it out should I even be on this team anymore.
I’ll look at CPU, Memory, Storage, network and disk write or read times but then I’m looking at graphs what the fuck am I even looking for here I don’t see anything flat lining or I might see odd spike but still not maxing out then I’m reading errors in event viewer going to myself this might not be anything and I could use Get-WinEvent to export to CSV to make things easier see what event comes up the most but might not even be the issue. I’ll use process monitor but sometimes It will show me like low level windows API and I’m reading docs forever.

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to /TropicalWeather! It is great to see you all again and we look forward to tracking tropical cyclones with you again this year.A look back to 2023.
Last year's Atlantic season was memorable, particularly because it was very active despite the presence of a very strong El Niño event. In fact, with 20 named storms, it tied with the 1933 season to become the fourth-most active Atlantic season on record.Seasonal highlights
- The 2023 season was only the fifth to feature the development of a tropical or subtropical cyclone during the month of January.
- The 2023 season was the most active to be recorded during an El Niño year.
- The 2023 season featured the fastest sequence of four cyclones developing on record, with Emily, Franklin, Gert, and Harold all forming within a 42-hour period.
- The 2023 season was the first to feature the development of two tropical storms within the tropical Atlantic (east of 60°W). Most June storms develop over the western Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, or off the southeastern coast of the United States.
Storm highlights
- Idalia became the most powerful hurricane to strike Florida's Big Bend region since 1950.
- Lee underwent the third-fastest intensification on record in the Atlantic, with winds increasing by 85 miles per hour (140 kilometers per hour) in just 24 hours.
What's expected for 2024?
Scientists surmise that a combination of environmental factors—such as the emergence of La Niña conditions later this summer and abnormally warm sea-surface temperatures across the Atlantic Ocean—will lead to a very active season. A full rollup of the seasonal forecasts which have been issued in the days leading to the start of the season can be found here.The National Hurricane Center issued its most aggressive seasonal forecast ever, projecting 17 to 25 named storms, 8 to 13 hurricanes, and 4 to 7 major hurricanes, along with a seasonal accumulated cyclone energy (ACE) of 150 to 245.

Some highlights:- Please leave tracking threads to us. The moderation staff—*cough* me *cough—uses a template which consolidates information from various sources into one centralized location. If a significant cyclone threatens landfall over the U.S. coastline, we will begin posting daily meteorological tracking threads, along with preparation discussions.
- Please do not post model data or graphics for greater than 120 hours (5 days) in the future. The accuracy of model guidance begins to decrease steadily after three days and rapidly after five. After that point, model data becomes speculative at best.
- Do not excessively speculate or intentionally mislead. Many people come to our subreddit looking for the most accurate and timely information regarding weather which threatens their neck of the woods. Please defer to official sources or experts when discussing observed and forecast conditions.
