Protein shake recommendations needed
2024.05.17 10:52 I-am-t-rex Protein shake recommendations needed
I need to up my protein intake so I am going to add a protein shake to black coffee at lunch time. I need some recommendations for high protein, tastes good, preferably not super expensive- if you can buy it at Sam’s club it is a bonus. A powder would be considered as an option as well, I prefer pre made shakes though.

2024.05.17 07:51 Sea-Ferret2788 Help what’s the best cc
I’m 20 and have a decent job where I make north of 50k a year and have three lines of credit . One a capital one quick silver with (6500) available credit,it’s the first one I ever opened and had ever since still use it . The second one was actually some furniture that I bought at a furniture store and no interest for 36 months I got approved for 7000 but only used half. I still got 2000 left to pay off.The third one being an Apple Card with initially 3k now 5500 available . I pretty much use half on both the credit cards every month . I plan on buying a house on mortgage in the near future (2-3 years ) and currently do a lot of shopping at Sam’s club,Home depot and other construction/ tools places and was wondering what’s the best credit card for me to get now to get to the next step and the max rewards ? I don’t have a buissnes now but I’m looking to get one in 3-4 years. Also I don’t buy cars new or need one . Credit score 720. And should I leave that 2k alone and just keep making the payments or transfer to another bank or just pay it off thanks.

2024.05.17 04:26 Pretty-Exchange2865 Leaving Sam's
Already put my story done in another post but just wondering how quitting Sam's worked out for other people and if that barred them from working at Walmart. My club's management really tried to strong arm me on getting upgrades and credits as the "Frontline associate position has a required sales aspect" and with me not getting the required numbers I was basically switched to maintenance since there was an open position. My family didn't really like the move and how they basically kicked me from the position they offered to me, not the one I was interviewed for, due to the sales aspect and said told me I was on my own if I wanted to keep the position. Wasn't really a hard choice, plus my management aren't the nicest/realest people, but I do want to try to work at Walmart if anything cuz I do the Frontline work as long as it's not picking up carts. I also got rained on without the "provided ponchos" so that's a plus. Anyways I know that was a lot of nothing but I just really want to know if I can still get a job at Walmart if I state I have Sam's Frontline experience.
Tl:Dr Got moved from cashier, a position I didn't get interviewed for, to maintenance, the position I came in for, got rained on, disowned, and mostly disrespected but I just wanna know if I quit will I have a chance at working at Walmart
P.s. I'm "quitting" by not showing up, I honestly don't like talking to my management and the thought of telling them I quit sounds more like a hassle then some "sweet revenge"
Thanks 🤗

2024.05.17 03:48 Gniphe I’m canceling my Costco membership and moving to Sam’s Club. Anybody else have a similar experience?
This isn’t a complaint post. Just explaining why and wondering what everyone’s thoughts are.
I enjoy many Costco products, but lately the crowds have become too oppressive to shop in peace. I almost always have to park near the back of the lot, every other aisle is like rush hour, and checking out or getting gas takes 15 minutes of waiting for your turn.
My local Sam’s club is much less crowded (at the same times), and with the app, I can check out on my phone and walk out. A full trip takes half as much time.
The food court at my Costco has suffered, too. I get jealous of all the other items I see posted here. We have pizza, hotdogs, or the chicken bake. All are excellent, but selection is slim. The soda fountains offer Brisk, Starry, or Diet Pepsi.
Sam’s Club has about the same food selection, so it’s a draw between the two.
As for the quality of products, I honestly don’t notice much of a difference. I shop mostly groceries and clothing. They offer different brands, but I’m rarely shopping for big ticket items.
I know my circumstance is highly dependent on location, but just wanted to share my experience.

2024.05.17 03:22 PhantomOSX Stopping customers for receipts
Upon leaving today everyone was being stopped to show their receipts by a sheriff's officer working the door. My receipt didn't print properly so I told him I don't have it and why and that I'd rather not have to wait to ask for a reprint but he said I had to.
I walked to get it reprinted and both I and the cashier were both annoyed by this. I walked up to the officer and he can tell I was pissed and just held it in the air and he let me leave. Didn't even check it.
My question is what is the official policy/law on this? I thought only membership exclusive places like Costco or Sam's club could legally require you to show upon exiting the receipt since it's part of their terms of service.
It makes me upset because the cop didn't even check the receipt, I literally could have picked up any piece of paper and held it up and he would have wave me through. So what was the point of wasting my time manipulating me into thinking it's mandatory?
Can I just tell them no thank you next time or do I have to fear for my freedom if I argue?
Just wanted to make sure so I can know what to expect next time. Thank you so much.

2024.05.17 02:54 New_Spread_475 Can a store without a membership stop and detain me if I don't show my receipt?
So I've heard that stores with memberships like Costco and Sam's Club CAN ask for your receipt and WILL stop you until you show your receipt for proof of purchase but stores like Walmart can't and you can politely decline and leave. Is that true ?

Just got back from dinner then drove to Sam's Club and then to Target. While we were driving around my wife and I saw 5 other Palisades in black or Moonlight Cloud Blue like mine. Haven't seen that many Palisades in the same place like for ever! Nice to see so many on the road. Getting to be as popular as my old Chevy Tahoe.😄😄😁

2024.05.17 01:09 RheaoftheDeadSea5 Status of our Defense
With so many injuries and fluctuations in form across our defense, I'm wondering who are some of the best options (either short or long term).
Thankfully Casey Stoney said Naomi and Abby D are both getting healthy so at least for the Olympics I don't think it's a huge concern but these upcoming friendlies area great time to test our depth (plus tierna is still injured). Sarah Gorden and Sam Staab are the obvious shouts and I'd love to see them get a chance, though I think people are sleeping on Emily Sams. Demonstrated versatility by playing fullback (even though she's mainly a cb) and has been a monster on Orlando's back line, aggressive and physical 1 v 1 defender with a solid passing range. Our fullback depth is tragically thin, so would love her to get a call up. Besides Foxy, that left back spot is wide open. Jenna is so good on the ball but lacks pace and needs to improve defensively, so potential is there but we'll see. Not super confident in either Dunn or Krueger at the international level, Krueger is great for club but I just don't really see it translate as much for country.
What do you guys think? What options could get tryouts this camp or after the Olympics?

2024.05.17 00:42 StuMun Media Roundup for Timbers Quakes: Goals, Boos, Hot Mics, The Unipiper and so much more
Lots and lots and lots of coverage for this media roundup. We’ve got goals, we’ve got boos, we’ve got hot mics, we’ve got the Unipiper and so much more. PORTLAND: Tyson Alger / Oregonian: After rocky start, Portland Timbers rally back against San Jose to snap 9-game winless streak “Yes, the Portland Timbers heard the boos.
How could they not?
They started flying early in the first half against San Jose on Wednesday night and only continued to gain steam when a pair of Earthquake goals sent Portland into the locker room down 2-0 at the break — all the momentum needed to achieve a club-record 10th game without a win.
And the Timbers Army responded accordingly, hailing down a thunderous shower of jeers as manager Phil Neville led the Timbers off the pitch. …”
Columnist Bill Oram: Oregonian: Timbers coach Phil Neville silences his critics — for one night, at least “The pressure was mounting on Phil Neville and, you would imagine, inside of him, too.
The Portland Timbers manager had overseen a string of nine consecutive matches without a victory, dating back to March 9. Even the Trail Blazers have won twice since then.
Neville’s tinkering had not led to results. His adjustments weren’t working. Not well enough, at least.
And while the Timbers are a team with new faces and still integrating a new superstar, this is Neville’s show. He was the splashy coaching hire made last fall. As lackluster results stacked up, so too did Neville’s frustration. …
On the hot mic situation: “As Neville headed to the locker room on Friday, a broadcaster on the team’s radio feed was caught on a hot mic asking his producer if he wanted to coach the team because it “can’t be any worse.”
I’ve been in the press box for hundreds, if not thousands of sporting events, and trust me, as gallows humor goes, that made-for-X/formerly-Twitter moment is pretty mild. The announcer, Adam Susman, has apologized and hopefully that’s that.
We were all thinking some version of it. Or worse…”
(Worth reading this one in full imo) Alex Barnes / Stumptown Footy: Portland Timbers vs San Jose Earthquakes - Instant Reaction “The Portland Timbers lost 2-0 at home to the San Jose Earthquakes after another stale attacking performance and two more defensive mistakes… Is what I was prepared to write before an 74th minute Earthquakes red card flipped the game on its head. But for the first time since March 9, the Portland Timbers won a game of football in their typical drunken fashion — a much-needed four goal explosion in the final 15+ minutes of the match.
…
Were the Timbers fortunate to win? Unequivocally yes. Before the penalty San Jose was cruising. But at this point in the season, at their position in the table, it does not matter one bit. The team needs points, and points they earned. Whether that continues into their next match is a major question, but tonight felt like the pressure release valve was turned for the time being. Sometimes one moment is all it takes for the tides of a grueling MLS season to turn.”
Jeremy Peterman / Cascadia FC: Winning A Game Is Fun “The Timbers’ winless streak is over, and the San Jose Earthquakes are still winless at Providence Park. Will this team ever play a normal game?
…
…This win is incredibly fluky in so many ways. But, at the end of the day, 3 points is 3 points. Now they have to turn this confidence into momentum. Some returning players can help with that. As long as the players believe they can win, they will put in match-winning performances. Inconsistency has been the calling card of the 2024 Timbers. Can they erase the individual mistakes while building a solid defensive shape that can attack directly? That’s what they have to solve. The 3-4-3 from tonight was an excellent start, and it will get better. The pieces to win games now are on this team. But they have to perform like it. But tonight is a good night to be a Timber. For the first time in 49 years of the club’s history, the Timbers have won a game by multiple goals after trailing by multiple goals. Winning a game is really fun. This team should do it more often.”
BONUS: Unipiper content Tyson Alger / The I-5 Corridor: Timbers win plays second act to The Unipiper's song of redemption “Redemption on Wednesday was scheduled for 7:35 p.m. In the minutes leading up, Kidd quietly waited in the Southwest corner of Providence Park, occasionally humming a few notes through his trumpet and making sure his sandals, embroidered with “Keep Weird” on their backs, were tight. At 7:34 p.m. he pulled on a Darth Vader mask. A minute later, he climbed onto the unicycle, found his balance, lifted the trumpet to his mouth and slowly started pedaling north. When the first notes hit smooth, Kidd came alive — playing a well-paced 80-second anthem that ended with Kidd using his one free arm to orchestrate the crowd into a frenzy.”
BONUS: Hot Mic NATIONAL: Sam Jones / MLS: Daily Kickoff PORTLAND TIMBERS - 4 SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES - 2
Evander (74'), J. Rodríguez (80, 90+10'), F. Mora (90') A. Pellegrino (31'), H. López (34')
San Jose were on the wrong end of an MLS After Dark special in Portland. The Timbers got back in the game with a 71st-minute red card/penalty combo and then got back in the game some more with a brace from Jonathan Rodriguez and a Felipe Mora goal.
The Timbers badly needed this one. It’s their first win in nine games. It doesn’t matter how it comes at that point – they just needed it to happen.
The Quakes did not need this. Just when it seemed like they were sorting some things out defensively, they fell apart in this one. Once again, it’s worth repeating that no one is concerned about the Quakes’ attack. Everything else though…
AI bot / The AP: Timbers Rally To Beat San Jose 4-2 And Snap Winless Streak “Jonathan Rodriguez scored a pair of goals and the Portland Timbers snapped a nine-game winless streak with a 4-2 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday night. …”
Graham Ruthven / Fotmob (published before the match): The Phil Neville-era is in trouble at Portland Timbers “Derby defeats are difficult enough to digest without the additional consequences that came with the Portland Timbers’ painful home loss to the Seattle Sounders on Sunday. The result dropped Phil Neville’s team to the bottom of the Western Conference with the Timbers on a winless run of nine matches. Portland have problems.”
SAN JOSE: The Mercury News: Hernán López scores in second straight game for Earthquakes, but San Jose win streak snapped in Portland “Hernán López scored in his second straight match, but the San Jose Earthquakes allowed three goals in the final 16 minutes of regulation and another in extra time in a 4-2 loss at Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday night.
The Quakes (3-9-1) had won three in a row to move out of last place in the 14-team Western Conference, but fell back to the bottom of the standings with the loss. …”
INTERNATIONAL: RCN News: Santiago Moreno gave an assist in a 'crazy' play in the MLS (Spanish) “Santiago Moreno, who reached 101 games with the Portland Timbers, was in charge of finishing the game against the San Jose Earthquakes…”

2024.05.16 23:37 thywillbedone116 Looking for a New Travel Card
I never really paid attention to waht cards I have to optimize my money (be it rewards or cashback), but this site has helped me take this more into consideration and I am working on changing that. 2024.05.16 22:10 jiba124 Golf Coaching / Fitting / Shops (Don't fall for the same things as me)
Background : I've been playing for about 2.5 years (38 years old now), shooting in the low to mid 80s. Decent knowledge about clubs. I've had about 6 different sets of clubs from different fittings done at club champion, PGA superstore, Golf Galaxy, Local course, and original sets bought on facebook marketplace and finessed by my first coach/teacher. (Northern California)
I've also spent over 10k on lessons from pretty much all the coaches from local golf course. Local coaches I've found online, coaching from golf shops, you name it. I wanted to improve fast.
So this is my rant, I feel like as a player, everyone here is to exploit and make their living from a game we love. A breakdown of each topic below.
Coaching:
- Korean academies ( subscription based) - It was $500 a month for unlimited range and the instructor would walk around and give you a pointer here and there, practically useless, like 3 mins of actual coaching.
- American style coaching - There is an inherit conflict of interest with golf coaching that doesn't make too much sense to me. Local coaches from golf courses typically only offer bandaid fixes to what you are struggling with and very much assume you are a beginner. It is fairly hard for them to gauge and access how much you know about the swing within the one hour period. Typically people go see them for a 1 hour lesson here and there and they don't really have a strong client-tell. There are coaches that I work with more frequently and they are always booked, but if you are a coach and you need clients, do you AT HEART really want to help you get better. Wouldn't you always want to just find a goldilocks zone where you are always booked.
Fitting:
- Retail stores - Trust me, a lot of these guys are utter garbage at big retail stores like golf galaxy and pga superstore, unless it's like a fitting van studio. There are the knowledgable ones but they are seasoned and just want to sell you shit. It's like going to a car dealership but for clubs. A free putter fitting means having a college student looking at your swing for 3-4 shots then when you make a putt, he goes wow.... that's a great fit. He doesn't care if you know about lie angle, loft, toe hang, length, stroke type. Doesn't know how to probably set up a SAMs Puttlab. Then when it comes to actual club fitting, I don't even know where and how to start, but it's probably some generic corporate training of recommending the latest clubs from different manufactures.
- Club Champion - Fittings are decent, but something about them. They know more generic numbers on trackman forsure. They are constantly trying too hard to upsell you into exclusive shafts, and their build prices are just way to expensive, but if they know you just want the fitting only, they won't spend much time with you. The $300 dollar fitting fee is realistically not worth it for them. They forsure care more about you buying their SST puring services and breaking each component down and charge you separately. A awkward moment is when I went in and just wanted to test out all the shafts, but already had one in mind. When the build came out, I played dumb and showed the guy the same build for $1200 cheaper. They broke down the head, shaft and grip down as individual components. Their rebuttal was they were the ones building it, and their tolerances are much better than stock manufacturer. As if it's really hard to get the loft, lie, length, swing weight checked anywhere else. Anyway, I just did the math infront of him and paid him $175 for the fitting.
- Golf shops - Don't be confused, the point of having a shop is to make revenue, you will get recommended to different brands that they have the most association with, and with the highest margin. They will try to sway you in a certain direction, especially when you are a newer player and don't really know exactly what you want.
