2024.06.01 11:59 kniveskills81 Hunter prismatic build

Wanted to share my build for hunter for TFS prismatic.
For dps phase you wanna make your heavy fits the plan of your team and maybe change some of the other weapons I'll recommend. Also you wanna chabge your dodge from melee recharge to reload. The suggestions below are for neutral play.
Weapons (for most scenarios sunshot+new rocket strand sidearm or buried bloodline instead of sunshot)
Exotics (for dps phase nighthawk swapped into lucky pants or radiant dance machines) duskfield grenade/liar's handshake. This depends on if you want more damage or more survivability.
Aspects: winter's shroud and stylish executioner. Melee: combination blow. Grenade: duskfield. Super: golden gun. Dodge: melee refresh dodge
As I'm sure you know, transcendance is looking to be really good, and to get it quicker I have recommend weapons and a grenade/melee split that have both light and dark damage. It doesn't stop there though as we'll be adding the following fragments: sacrifice, devotion and courage. Sacrifice and devotion will help with getting our transcendance and thus our damage buff and bonus damage resist even quicker, but courage will actually allow us to output even more damage on anything hit by our duskfield grenade or winter's shroud dodge.
Speaking of the duskfield grenade, with the duskfield exotic this will allow us to get frostarmor stacks on top of being a debuff/area denial tool.
Winter's shroud doesn't only synergize with facet of courage, it also synergizes with stylish executioner, making you invis on every melee kill. Combination blow get's stronger after every melee kill as well. Add courage on top of that (and maybe liar's handshake) and your melee will be dealing enourmous amounts of damage while also making you invisible.
Lastly for our final 2 fragments we want to run facet of dawn and facet of purpose. Dawn allows us to easily give ourselves and our allies radiant with out melee for even more of a damage buff. Purpose will give us resotartion on orb pickup (which with siphon mods and heavy handed there should be plenty of), Further increasing our survivability.
Lets say you are running buried bloodline and some strand weapons in the primary slot. Not only does this mean that you have a darkness/light split which will give you transcendance faster yet again, buried bloodline will also give you devour.
This build would give this single hunter build access to: invis, resto, devour and frost armor on top of the damage resist while being in transendace.
It would also give it: radiant, a damage buff to darkness debuffed targets (almost all of them), an increasingly powerful melee and a super strong super on top of the dmg buff provided by transcedance.
It would give you all of this, while also being able to get transcendance super fast.
Haven't seen a single better overall build for hunter out there (yes grapple is nuts but only in certain scenarios). So wanted to share.

2024.06.01 09:22 -Wertoiuy- Help with Modern Industrialization automation? What am I missing?

I'm getting into the Electric Age (about to build electric quarry) and I'm trying to automate crafting because I don't want to craft motors and pistons and circuits by hand anymore.
I'm using Tom's Simple Storage (Inventory Hoppers and Level Emitters) to automate my cutting and pressing. I've got a working system where if I grab some bolts the level emitters turn off and the hoppers start pumping in rods, which turns off those emitters, etc. This system has made crafting things like bronze drills light-years easier.
I'm now trying to setup a system that will smelt my dust from the quarry and always have 1000 of each ingot in the system. I've setup a few configurable chests with 4 hopper inputs each, and set these inputs to the most common dusts. These chests then pump into an electric furnace. This works as well.
However, I setup a mixer to input copper and tin dust when bronze ingots are low, and then output the bronze dust back into the system (where it is sent back out to the furnace). The issue is that I ran out of copper dust, but since there wasn't 1000 bronze the system kept pumping in tin. I added more mats and copper dust, but didn't realize the system was backed up.
I feel like there's something the in-game manual isn't telling me or something I'm not understanding. It feels like without a way to set the assembler recipes or filter how machines input that this is bound to keep happening. I can't lock a slot in a machine to a certain item, so any automation requiring multiple inputs can get stuck if it inputs too much of one thing and not enough of the other.
I see people talk about how good the mod's item pipes are but they feel very limiting, and the automation tools seem clunky despite that being the really important. What am I missing?

2024.06.01 09:19 Klund234 Second Dinner's takes on emotes are too weak

Asking for a perma-mute option has been a long-running debate. But by now, it is well-known that perma-mute will never be added to the game because it is the only way to communicate in-game.
Honestly, I think if we cannot get the one extreme of eternally muting opponents in-game, we should have the option to go the other extreme: HIGH-SPEED EMOTE SPAMMING.
Hear me out: In a game called League of Legends, players can spam the dance emote to make their in-game character glitch dance moves, forcing the in-game sprite to repeatedly perform a gesture like raising their hand in a short span of time.
At first, we'd think, why do they spam the emote and not let the entire dance animation play out? Because the spammed version of the gesture is funnier and has stronger taunt power. I don't remember the exact moves, but some of them are actually really hilarious.
So here is the thing Second Dinner Team, listen: If ya'll don't want us to perma-mute opponents, then at least allow quick consecutive emote spams to let us have some fun.
I have a really good feature suggestion: instead of clicking on the portrait to use an emote, give us a quick bar with four slots for emotes. I want to spam the fist-bump emote repeatedly after my opponent and I both Snap before ending turn 6. I want to do a x100 Ms Marvel thmubs-up emote combo after getting the 8 cuber. I want to hear the "pop" sound of the emote coming out repeatedly from the loudspeakers on my phone like a machine gun.
Do you know what is even better? Make an emote using the Marvel character with the phatest ass, and make her pose in such a way that her ass is facing us. When this emote is used, it doesn't appear under my player portrait like a speech bubble. Instead, it appears above my opponent's portrait as if that female character is dunking on my opponent's face.
These are what's worth 2200 gold. If my opponent uses this against me, I wouldn't even be mad.

2024.06.01 09:18 Jim__Anchower Pilot Gear Upgrade

Here is an idea, in case the newer players haven't considered it.
However many slots you have for pilot gear, you want the ones with 15% damage. There are also 3 categories for passive skill.
The most ideal is extra damage per wingmen and aircraft shot.
  1. Collect gear from the slot machine when you win them.
  2. Discard all that don't have idea extra damage. Turn them in for towels. (EXCEPT, gear you need for mining: 5% increase tokens collected, 15% increase gold collected, you need a set of that too!)
  3. Merge your best to silver.
  4. Repeat until all your silver gear have top damage.
  5. Merge to gold.
  6. Use towels to upgrade gold to maximum.
  7. Save up gems to upgrade to Elite 5.
This will take a long time unless you get lucky and win them.
Also, during holiday events, save up your tokens that come from the screen attacker with gear that has 5% increase tokens so you get more. You SHOULD be able to rake in enough for 2, possibly 3 pieces of pilot gear each event to select a piece of equipment from the the token shop. Use those until you find something better, sell them for towels later.
As of right now, I have over 10,000 towels from doing this, don't want or need anymore--ever. I keep looking for the unicorn equipment that has all the right damage. If I can't win it, I'll have to try to merge it together the hard way.
Hopefully that gives you a strategy on how to start getting ideal pilot equipment for max power.
✈ See you in the skies pilots! ✈

2024.06.01 08:58 StevenHahaKing Does anyone know anything about hand written casino letters?

My mom nearly decimated our entire family being involved in Advocare. Thank God that subsided a few years ago. She is now onto writing hand written letters for an east coast casino and gets paid in tokens that she can then use on their online slot machine and she pays her own real money (my dads money that he makes working real jobs) for postage. Nothing she says makes any sense in trying to convince us it’s a good money making opportunity. I’m curious if anyone knows anything about this, idk if it’s an MLM or just a scam. These people are so fucking stupid falling for this dumb shit over and over again. Any help is appreciated since my brain turns off listening to pitches.

2024.06.01 07:58 voltechs I guess what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay there

... 'cuz I'm here to report that I made a successful journey to the forbidden zone, and back again with zero imbibing!
Long story short (or not), my buddy got stood up (very much not a reflection on him. He's the kindest, most bad-ass and humble dude I know personally) and he tapped me to fill in. We spent three days and two nights in Vegas. We saw Rufus Du Sol, got into an Uber accident (nobody was injured), lost a $120 Ribeye Steak, danced until 4am, rented Vespas, explored all over, nearly got sunburnt, met some attractive people, saw even more attractive people, and lost 4 times on a slot machine hahah.
Overall, it was loads of fun. I definitely felt the pull to drink when we got to the concert. There were so many attractive people everywhere, most of them were drinking (I assume), and dancing was strongly expected. I dug deep and resisted. Fought hard to play the tape forward, visualized the end result, rationalized the fact it wouldn't actually make me more social or confident, reflected on the joy of a clear head and no hangover in the morning, and thought about the streak I'd be breaking. I intentionally leaned in and exercised a muscle in not giving a f#%*, and just dancing anyway, cuz really nobody cares.
I'm sure there were a few other tricks I used along the way but I can't think of them right now. Oh right, the calories/fitness piece. I'm in some of the g'damn best shape of my life, I feel very attractive (relative to where I've been), and that alone is almost its own form of intoxication. People look at and treat me differently.
My buddy had one drink the entire trip. He got an Old Fashioned (ugh, one of my favorites), and we spent half the meal discussing sobriety. He told me he was really proud of me and respected the commitment and expressed a desire to do the same one day perhaps. For the record, in the time I've known him he hasn't demonstrated an inability to moderate, but his ex definitely had some issues. Regardless, he has similar values which alcohol fails to honor, so who knows, he might decide it’s just not worth it someday!
Anyway, that's my semi-longer-than-intended debrief from the land of No-Nos.
Gave a solid plug to the community when talking to my friend, and I stand by the statement. This community continues to be very supportive and a goldmine for set forward and set back stories. Both of which are inspirational and constructive in my own personal journey, so I appreciate you all and hope you're crushing your goals out there!

Established in 2020, Super Slots Casino is already making a name as one of the top online casinos for US players. I found a fantastic casino offering, covering not just 382 slot titles, but a wide variety of blackjack, virtual poker, and other table games – alongside live dealers.
Super Slots is one of the most user-friendly sites I have reviewed and has a massive selection of banking methods to cater to a wide audience.
The welcome bonus is generous (250% up to $1,000) – although the rollover requirements are high.
I think this is a solid option for any online casino player.

Super Slots User Interface

In terms of usability, Super Slots has one of the best casino interfaces I have encountered. The tile-based format is easy to navigate, and the headings are neatly laid out, with search bars and a favorites section. Everything appears seamless.
https://preview.redd.it/k58ympyvyv3d1.png?width=1904&format=png&auto=webp&s=4db8ea3540df950b7baca7f827d7d4fbf922f01e
Each heading displays the number of titles for each game type, and each game tile also reveals the game developer.
I was particularly impressed with the extensive help & FAQ section. This answered most of my questions without needing customer support, with walkthroughs and tips for various games. The bonus requirements were also easily visible.
My first impressions were that Super Slots is at the forefront of modern-casino web design, perhaps due to this casino being only a few years old. That said, I did find the basic purple color scheme to be quite plain. Highly functional, but not particularly exciting.

Super Slots Casino

There are over 470 game titles at Super Slots Casino, including 382 slot titles. These come from leading developers including BetSoft, Nucleus Gaming, Dragon Gaming, Rival Gaming, and more.
I was very impressed with the casino offering, which featured lots of variety in slot titles, table games, and virtual cards, amongst others.
There are also two live dealer casinos, split between Red Casino by Visionary iGaming – which also includes some virtual casino games – and Black Casino by Fresh Deck Studios.
I found this to be a comprehensive casino offering.

Slots

I saw 364 slot titles in the main casino, plus an additional 18 titles in the Red Live Casino, from six different developers. There was plenty of variety to keep me entertained, covering 3-reel and 5-reel slots, classic and modern themes, with both progressive and traditional jackpots on offer.
Furthermore, I noticed regular free spin bonuses. Quite simply, I thought this was a fantastic slot option that more than lives up to Super Slots’ namesake.
Here are some popular real money slots titles at Super Slots:
  • Golden Dragon Inferno (RTP = 96.41%)
  • Wilds of Fortune (RTP = 96.33%)
  • Genies Riches (RTP = 94%)
  • Primal Wilderness (RTP = 95.28%)

Blackjack

I loved the blackjack offering at Super Slots, which was more extensive than most competitors.
There were 17 blackjack titles in all – 14 in the normal casino and another three in the Red Live Casino, covering a wide range of variations from single and double deck blackjack to pirate 21.
The detailed blackjack walkthrough in the help section was very useful – laying out blackjack basic strategy, rules, and variations.
One standout feature was the Blackjack Tournament. This included free-to-play tournaments to test your skills – making it perfect for novice and less-experienced players. Meanwhile, the real-money tournaments come with cash prizes ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 for the top players.
This was an exciting new dynamic as I played against other players on the leaderboard for the big pot.
This is a must-visit for any virtual blackjack fan.
The game titles include:
  • Single Deck Blackjack
  • Multi-Hand Blackjack
  • Pirate 21
  • Double Deck Blackjack

Table Games

The selection of alternative table games was a very pleasant surprise – with these games sometimes neglected by casino rivals. I counted 15 roulette titles, two craps titles, four baccarat titles, three keno titles, and a host of other alternative and specialty games.
The number and variety of table games really helped keep the casino fresh for me once I had my fill of the slots/blackjack/poker titles.
For those unfamiliar with these alternative games, there are overviews and strategy guides for games including craps and baccarat.
Table games included:
  • Multihand Casino War
  • Andar Bahar
  • Teen Patti
  • Three Card Rummy

Video Poker

Overall, I thought there was a great video poker offering at Super Slots, with 15 virtual poker titles. Super Slots has four classic variants of this game, including Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild.
However, for me, it was in the alternative poker variants that Super Slots stood out from the crowd. I found eleven alternative variants, from Texas Hold ‘Em, to Pai Gow and Tri Card Poker.
The poker alternatives include:
  • Let It Ride
  • Tri Card Poker
  • Pai Gow
  • Caribbean Poker
  • Texas Hold ‘Em
  • Oasis Poker
  • 6Up Pocket Poker

Super Slots Live Dealers

Super Slots has excellent live dealer casino options, thanks to two separate live casinos.
I saw 10 blackjack live games, along with four roulette, two baccarat, and super 6 games at any one time in the Red Casino by Visionary iGaming.
Meanwhile, I counted 12 blackjack games, 1 baccarat, and 3 roulette live games in the Black Casino by Fresh Desk Studios.
Besides the live dealer aesthetics, there are several main differences between the two.

Red Casino

Red Casino contains 36 virtual casino game titles alongside live dealers, and you can play virtual mini-games within the live dealer games while you wait for a table.
https://preview.redd.it/cbju7l6lxv3d1.jpg?width=790&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8e2a1186ef0f0a74666ec5ff4cb48bc36b414bdc
I found the Red Casino has many opportunities to bet-behind on other players’ cards. Some of the games also have unlimited seats.
Red Casino buy-ins range from $5-5,000.
I thought these features were perfect for more casual players seeking some variety.

Black Casino

As a lover of blackjack, I was particularly impressed with the Black Casino. Black Casino is clearly geared toward committed card players.

The minimum buy-in was $10, although most games require $25 or $50 minimum buy-ins, with the range going all the way up to $20,000 for the most serious card players.
I would not venture into Black Casino without knowing what you’re doing. But it’s a great option if you are chasing serious money.

Super Slots Bonuses

I found a good range of online casino bonuses at Super Slots, including welcome, crypto, and referral bonuses, alongside free spins, competitions, and rebates.
The lack of a loyalty program was disappointing, and the rollover requirements are high compared to some competitors.
The bonus requirements were clearly visible – with no attempt to hide the small print.

Welcome Bonus: Up to $6,000 total

The welcome bonus is spread across the first six deposits, which is worth up to a massive $6,000 in total.
On the first deposit (SS250) you can claim 250% up to $1,000.
On the next five deposits (SS100) you can claim 100% up to $1,000.
Conditions:
  • Minimum deposit = $20
  • Rollover = 35x
  • Need to claim winnings within 30 days
  • Only valid for certain games titles
  • Not valid in live casino

Crypto Bonus: 400% up to $4,000

The crypto bonus is very high value, worth 400% up to $4,000 on your first crypto deposit. Be warned though – the rollover requirement is very extensive.
Conditions:
  • Minimum deposit = $20
  • 48x rollover
  • Need to claim winnings within 30 days
  • Only valid for certain games titles

Referral Bonus: 20% up to $200 + 50 free spins

The referral bonus matches many competitors and has a very low rollover requirement to claim. You get 20% up to $200 on your referral’s first deposit, plus 50 free spins.
Conditions:
  • Referral must rollover at least equal to the deposit

Weekly Rebate: 10%

The weekly rebate is there to soften the blow if you go on a losing streak. You can reclaim up to 10% of your losses, from Monday to Friday.
Conditions:
  • Up to a maximum of $250
  • You must have lost at least $1,000 that week
  • Can only be claimed once a week
  • 40x rollover

Refer a Friend

The refer-a-friend bonus is a great way to earn free spins and bonus cash to strengthen your bankroll even more. In Super Slots, you can enjoy a bonus of 200% up to $200 and 50 free spins on Take Olympus for recruiting a new member.
Conditions:
  • The bonus is issued after the referred player’s initial deposit is rolled over 1x or the initial deposit has reached the 30-day hold time.
  • The bonus is issued weekly, every Tuesday.

The Best Super Slots Bonus Codes

These are the best deals currently found at Super Slots. If a code is needed you will find the Super Slots bonus code in the third column. If a code isn’t needed you will simply need to click to claim the offer.

Rollover and Playthrough Requirements at SuperSlots.ag

You know the old saying, “There is no such thing as a free lunch.” This adage rings true when it comes to wagering and rollover requirements at Super Slots online casino. If Super Slots bonus codes could be used and instantly cashed out, the site would go out of business.
Rollover is the number of times each bonus dollar is expected to be played before it is eligible for a withdrawal. A bonus offer with a 10x rollover means that the player has to risk the equivalent of 10x their initial deposit. Only then can they collect their payout.
If these requirements were not put into place by Super Slots and every other online casino, people would be joining just to claim their welcome bonus offer and run off with the money.
Rollover ensures that the money is actually played through the gaming machines, allowing games to get their fair share of use. Rollover also allows the casino to make a profit.
For more information on rollover requirements, visit SuperSlots.ag and check out the promotions page. All terms and conditions are listed, including information with regard to rollover.

Super Slots Mobile Experience

https://preview.redd.it/bxvwguu2yv3d1.jpg?width=641&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab3fe24824262696866c9795120426c35de85929
I found Super Slots operates seamlessly on mobile devices thanks to its sleek modern design, with full access to all the game titles.
There is no need to download anything – just simply hop onto your mobile web browser.
Unlike some older casinos, Super Slots was founded in the mobile gambling era, as the website is fully designed with this in mind.

Super Slots Banking Options

I found Super Slots to be a standout option in terms of the range of payment methods accepted – for both crypto and alternative methods.
There are a total of 18 different crypto methods available, exceeding many competitors. As with most online casinos, crypto methods have higher deposit and withdrawal limits, have faster processing (all within 48 hours) and no fees.
In addition, all the main traditional methods are accepted, including credit cards, checks, cash, and wire transfers. These methods do carry some withdrawal fees and lengthier processing times.
However you like to pay and receive money, Super Slots has you covered.
https://preview.redd.it/0oko7ca7yv3d1.png?width=1222&format=png&auto=webp&s=d727651a08baa88eab3101d60c8617fb8c474b7b

All crypto payouts take less than 48 hours and have no fees. Traditional payouts take anywhere from 5 to 15 business days depending on method. Traditional payouts also carry fees that vary depending on withdrawal amount.

Super Slots Customer Support

I found only two options for contacting customer support at Super Slots – email and live chat.
The live chat operators were quick-to-respond and courteous. When inquiring as to the RTP for slots titles, the operator actively followed up with their support team to help me out.
I was very impressed with the FAQ and help sections, which were well organized and answered most of my queries eliminating the need to speak with anyone.

Safety and Security at Super Slots

Although only founded in 2020, Super Slots has a solid background. It has a Panama Gaming Commission license, operates with tried-and-trusted gaming developers, and utilizes industry-standard SSL data encryption technology.
I had no problems with monetary transactions. Despite its youth, Super Slots is safe and secure, with a good reputation.

Final Verdict on Super Slots: 4.5/5

You will find few other casinos that match Super Slots for their number and variety of slots, blackjack, virtual poker, and alternative table game titles. For casino-lovers, the bonuses are high value, although you may find the rollover requirements excessive if you are a casual player. I loved the flexibility of live dealer options, with Red catering to casual players, and Black to committed card players.
The website design is one of the most user-friendly layouts I have reviewed. Super Slots is also an industry leader in terms of the range of accepted payment methods. All-in-all, I recommend Super Slots as a brilliant all-around casino option.

2024.06.01 06:02 KrazyKilla85 Lenovo Yoga 370

Lenovo Yoga 370
Desktop

Overview

This laptop has been done before, but retired it due to multiple factors preventing it from functioning properly at the time. Then in early 2024, I couldn't deal with Windows 11 running poorly, and with it never supporting Kaby Lake based CPUs, I decided to go back to installing macOS. And with the new knowledge I learned from the last attempt to now.. I can say this is probably my most efficient Hackintosh to date.

Specification

  • Intel i5-7300U 2.6GHz Dual-Core processor
    • Turbo Boost up to 3.5GHz
    • Intel HD 620 Series Integrated iGPU
    • 13.3" LED Backlit IPS Touchscreen Panel @ 300nits & 700:1 Contrast Ratio
  • 16GB Single-SODIMM DDR4-2133
  • 256GB Micron 1100 Series (MTFDDAV256TBN) SATA M.2 Drive
    • This is not a NVMe Micron so it is fully functional
  • Intel I219LM4 PCI-Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller
  • AzureWave BCM94352Z M.2 NGFF WiFi
  • ELAN-based Touchpad and Touchpoint
    • Touchpoint is disabled
Temperature does not work, which is normal.

What Works

Overall I am very pleased with this system, which I opted to use a MacBookPro SMBIOS due to no Kaby Lake or near KBL based SMBIOS for MacBook Air SMBIOS. Typically in Windows, I normally get about 6-8 hours of battery life under normal usage, despite the brochure states 13hrs of usage. But the battery is degraded to about 92%, and most of the components have aged pretty badly in this model as it is from 2017.
Now the best part. In macOS, I see about a 4-6hr battery life with this machine, which is the most efficient I have seen to date with all my laptops that I have hackintosh'd over the years. The only caveat is that the Touchscreen does not function, and the laptop's Yoga mode does not work in macOS which is expected. However I good amount functions:
  • CPU Control despite MSR 0xE2 being locked in the BIOS
    • Setting Low-Power Mode reduces CPU usage to its base clock speeds (no Turbo Boost)
    • Apple VTD (VT-d support)
  • Patched DMAR Table for functional VT-d
  • Graphics Acceleration with full 8-bit color depth functionality
    • With this, there is no color banding even when the Kaby Lake framebuffer is utilized.
  • Ethernet
  • Wireless
    • iContinuity is partially functional due to this WiFi module not being natively supported
  • SuperIO Readouts are functional - YogaSMC utilized with a SSDT provided by their GitHub page.
    • Battery Readout - With native reporting in macOS
    • Fan readout is also functional with the ability to use manual fan speeds
  • Boot Camp Assistant
    • With the driver ExFatDxe.efi I was able to utilize the Boot Camp Assistant tool to install Windows 10 and the process was nearly automatic. Only thing I had to intervene was booting back into OpenCore, as Windows took over as the primary boot OS upon installation.
    • Despite that, once Windows was installed, the process continued just like an actual Mac and I had a seamless Boot Camp install of Windows 10 on a Hackintosh, with only minor manual intervention
  • Audio Controller
    • Boot Chime is indeed possible but you must make sure to use the 2nd output and convert the boot chime file to 48KHz, as 44.1KHz is not supported in the UEFI firmware.
    • All other Audio functions normally within macOS.
  • Sleep
    • Though I am noticing potential lockups while in sleep and will have to investigate this.
  • Stylus Pen
  • MicroSD Slot
Battery Settings with Battery Health
Sudden spike was the laptop's screen shutting off then waking up.

What Does Not Work

Of course the touch screen does not work, and I have attempted to get this functional, but this causes a hang during boot up as I am using an old version of VoodooSMBus.kext for my trackpad as it is a PS/2 ELAN device, and not the typical I2C based, which the touchscreen is. The USB-C port on the side works but only when a device is plugged in prior to booting macOS as it is a Thunderbolt-based USB-C 3.1 port, so no hot-plug support.
  • Hibernation
  • Touchscreen
  • USB-C (Partially)
  • SIM Slot
    • No WWAN Controller
    • No drivers for WWAN Controller
  • Smart Card Reader

Conclusion

Overall this system is the most efficient and most compatible I have seen in awhile. Even though battery life is still not as high as it is in Windows, it is farther than most of my other laptops I have used in the past. And once I get the sleep issues ironed out, this will probably become my daily driver for when I'm on the go. As always, I do not include an EFI for this setup as it is purely setup for this particular machine, and there is no guarantee that it will work on any other similar machines.

2024.06.01 04:43 Alert_Beach6351 Encouragement to be wise and patient with your investments

Over the course of a week I was up $600 then down $640. I consider myself lucky to have only lost $40. $40 was the cost of this lesson I'm going to share with you.
The reality is that you don't know anything about this stock. It can go up, down, sideways, or in f*cking circles. To think anyone knows what they're talking about is simply arrogant. You cannot get rich quick. Any earnings will be dwarfed by your guaranteed future losses born from being naive and impatient. You must accept that you are gambling, and if that doesn't deter you from participating, best of luck to you in this failing slot machine that is FFIE.

2024.06.01 04:33 Jkid873 Finally got PSP DLC for Beats PSP game and Rockband Unplugged to work on RG35XXSP(stock firmware)

Finally got PSP DLC for Beats PSP game and Rockband Unplugged to work on RG35XXSP(stock firmware)
So to add DLC for Beats which is just your custom music tracks and also to add all DLC songs for Rockband Unplugged you have to go to your SD card on the second slot(not the provided SD card from Anbernic) and go to .config>ppsspp/PSP/Music for all your Beats songs and PSP/GAME for your Rockband Unplugged DLC and make sure the Rockband dlc folder is titled ULUS10418 or it won’t read the songs. It’s very easy to find the complete Rockband Unplugged DLC. I tried these exact steps first on the stock SD card and it didn’t work. So I tried it on my SD card and works perfectly.
See attached photos

2024.06.01 03:04 VoctorDralidas {Fan Fic} Combat Artificer: Hemotheurge - 1

Michael crawled over the broken windshield glass and sandy dirt to his girlfriend, Sam. Every breath he took was labored as he inched over to her, he distantly felt the pain. He knew he had broken most of his ribs, his legs, and most of the bones in his left arm, but that was nothing compared to the injuries she had sustained being on the passenger side when it was struck.
Sweat mixed with the blood on his forehead, dripping into and making his eyes sting. Her breathing was becoming more and more shallow, as desperation welled in his mind. Their twisted wreck that was some distance away began to smoke, before flames began to lick from the inside of the hood.
“If any gods or demons can hear me, I beg of you, please. Please spare her life.” He hoarsely whispered. “I’ll give you anything, everything, just please. She has children who need her more than they need me.”
---OFFER ACCEPTED---
---YOU HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR TRANSLOCATION---
The voice rolled through his mind like the deep and powerful rumblings of a storm.
Michael began to pass out, his vision slowly fading.
As the last rays of light hit his eyes, he saw her wounds closing to heal. His eyes rolled back.

---INITIATING GODSMARKED TRAINING---
He was standing somewhere. Somewhere? It was a void, neither light, nor dark, but –NULL–. He could still see himself, his hand in front of his face, wearing the same long black shirt and black cargo pants, despite the apparent lacking of light. He didn’t hurt anymore.
“Greeting [Godsmarked]. I am here to give you your training.”
Directly to his right, a few feet away from him, was a figure clad entirely in deep purple robes. Their hands were clothed in stunningly white gloves, while their hood obscured any attempts to discern the face inside.
“So, a god or multiple gods heard my offer, and took me up on it. I suppose I am here to render my payment,” Michael mused. “I’ll cry later for what I sacrificed on that altar. Who are you, and what do I need to train for?”
“I am Estoc, [Servant] of the Divines. You are being given training on how to utilize the most common magical elements of the plane you are being transported to, for the gods own amusement or some grander purpose. Who can say which one it is?” Estoc said as they shrugged, while their robe shifted shades of purple.
“Please be aware, this process may sting. The last [Godsmarked] complained quite loudly.” Estoc waved their hand, and Michael hissed with a sharp intake of air as if the crown of his skull were branded with an iron.
“The knowledge you have gained will give you the intrinsic ability to will a Status Window into being. This Status Window will display your classes, titles, certain physical attributes, injuries, magical power, and any skills gained from classes or titles. As you use this Status Window, you will grow in familiarity with its function, but all sapient beings of this realm are able to utilize this function from early childhood.
Classes represent pathways that grant access to active and passive skills over the course of a person’s development, representing their personal specialties and the applications of those specialties. Each adult has at least one class, and the limit is five, though as classes level up and synergies develop, classes may merge to become new classes opening up additional slots, as well as prompting the selection of a replacement class.
You are being transported to the realm of Tillania.
Good luck on your journey, Michael Judge.” Estoc tilted their head to the side as though listening to something, and in a lower register said, “Sam Iron will make a full recovery in the hospital.”
Michael dropped his chin to his chest, sniffed, and a tear rolled down his cheek. He sighed, and looked back up, only to see that Estoc was gone. He wiped his face, and steeled himself for the possibilities.
---GODSMARKED TRAINING COMPLETED---
---CALCULATING CLASS CHOICES---
The white words appeared on the white bordered black Status Window that appeared in front of him.
---CALCULATION COMPLETE. CLASS OPTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS. SELECT TWO---
-[Magus (Fungus)]
-[Magus (Necromancy)]
-[Medic]
-[Soldier]
-[Priest]
-[Clerk]
-[Trader]
Michael stared at the screen and let his thoughts wander over why these were his choices. The fungus mage felt a little on the nose, he had been devoted to a decentralized religion that revered psilocybin as its sacrament, and experimented with his own. The Soldier was from his time in the Army. Trader from working a certain general store chain with the word “Dollar” in it when he was young and poor. Priest was from his time studying religion and coaching others. Medic from his time working in the hospital as a laboratory technician, and in the army with a medical brigade support battalion.
He didn’t want to be a priest, or a fungus mage, at least not at first. Soldier, while useful, didn’t lend itself to the role he wanted to see himself in. But necromancy? He thought it over some more as to why that was the case.
The modern concept of necromancy involved raising the dead, zombies, skeletons, ghouls, disturbing the dead. The classical concept, however, was involved with any magic associated with dead flesh, including magic meant to investigate health conditions or divine futures from stool, skin, muscle tissue, urine, or blood. He had been steeped in tabletop roleplaying games, as well as classical myths of the various kinds of undead, and the various kinds of necromancers. It would seem, then, that this world would occasionally have to deal with the existence of undead. If that were the case, he thought that he might have a better time being able to sell himself as an expert on preventing and exorcising them. He had always been in love with the idea of the undead, though he thought that it would probably be more socially acceptable if he didn’t create any.
As to the other class? He felt most at home being able to treat others.
---CLASS CHOICES ACCEPTED---
---GENERATING CLASS SKILLS---

---BOON 2 DISPENSED. CHOOSE FROM PERSONALLY OWNED ITEMS IN FORMER REALM AS EQUIPMENT. MUST FIT IN INVENTORY OR OWN PERSON---
Michael thought about it. He would bring his laptop, cellphone, solar chargers and batteries. He knew it would be a long while before they could be repaired if they were ever damaged, but some utility was better than no utility, and out of curiosity he had previously downloaded a number of technical medical manuals from the time that he wanted to pursue a doctorate in pathology, as well as the children’s book “The way it works” which described the other areas of machines he wasn’t familiar with in an easily digestible format.
With any luck, and enough time, he might run into an engineer that might enjoy having access to that information. If there was other magic in this world he might be able to trade access to it for various repairs. Or, perhaps he would get around to finally tinkering himself, he wasn’t closing himself off to any options.
An SAS survival book with many different handy tips and tricks for wilderness survival. Various tools, a hammer, a machete, a first aid kit and a repurposed fishing box he filled with various medicines for most common ailments. A pocket survival kit including a ferrite rod and various other small tools. A flashlight that had a solar charger as well as a crank charger with charging ports.
He was surprised to see that it also included items that he was no longer certain as to where they were. He had owned a 50-pound draw weight compound bow some time ago that was left with a family member, as well as twenty barbed hunting arrows. It was given to him as a gift from his father and grandfather, though he never really was a fan of hunting. He stimmed, shaking his hand and striking his thumb against his middle and forefinger while he thought, before moving to the other hand stimulation exercises he did whenever he got excited or deep in thought.
Finally the water backpack, rucksack, treatment tabs, and a few old army uniforms that still fit would round out the space. Previously, he had been concerned that his job really didn’t assist him with maintaining a healthy weight, but if this was going where he anticipated it might, his extra bulk would serve him well until he could become better established.

He exhaled, his finger hovering over the [CONFIRM] button. “Only worry about the things in your control. I guess now is a good a time as any to have my agoge.”
________________________________________
He pressed the button. His vision was filled, piece by piece with his new location, though he didn’t feel himself moving. As the last piece fell into place, he could hear, and feel, the wind over the grass of the hilly plains. It was evening, and he measured the daylight remaining using his hand. He had a little over an hour and a half before sunset.
The whole area looked similar to the semi-arid environment of the hilly grasslands of western Kansas. If that was the case, he wondered to himself if this place was also a hellscape where the local flora and fauna rely on a steady stream of wildfires to maintain the ecosystem. The grass came up to his knees and his waste, which he didn’t particularly enjoy. The sturdy stems were always difficult to sleep on, from his experience with the army. Not to mention what could be hiding in the grass.

Hiding in the grass? He willed his [Lifesight] to become active and his vision became frantically populated with green profiles. He shut his eyes, willing [Lifesight] to have a few parameters. He could see a status window behind his eyelids. It felt like mentally right-clicking a skill and opening the properties menu.
________________________________________
[Adjust] [Lifesight]
Toggle light green profile if living entity is ≄30 cm at ranges 1m-500m. Increase color saturation with higher vitality. If living entity is 1-30 cm, highlight profile at ≀1m.
Toggle light red profile if entity is undead. Increase color saturation with higher durability.
Toggle yellow profile for dead organic material belonging to the Animal Kingdom if material is ≄30 cm within a range of 1-500m. ________________________________________
He opened his eyes. This time he wasn’t as bombarded with information. He’d have to keep this on a toggle, or with only one eye. Now he didn’t have to worry about bugs filling his vision with a sea of green. He did however, notice a few red outlines hovering slowly over the ground spaced out here and there. He could also see yellow outlines buried in the ground here and there.
He toggled [Lifesight] off. It was useful to scan the area but he was still getting used to the information overload and he still had other more pressing issues to investigate.
Could he equip things directly from his status window? It took a few tries, but yes. He could will it, or he could open up an Equipment screen and mentally drag and drop an item where it should go. He equipped his uniform, boots, and his floppy red wide brimmed hat with a mushroom theme that came to a rearward facing conical tip. He also took out his sunscreen and drank a sip of water from his wearable water pouch.
What information is revealed by [Triage]? He tried it on himself while keeping his status sheet open. [Triage]: (Target: Michael Judge; Health: 100% ; Conditions: [None]; Injuries: None.) His Status Window still displayed the conditions of [Well-Fed] and [Well-Rested]. He took out a knife, rolled back his sleeve, and made a small cut on the top of his arm. A little blood flowed as he did. The [Triage] and Status Sheet both updated. [Triage]: (Target: Michael Judge; Health: 98% ; Conditions: [None]; Injuries: Cut {Posterior Arm, 5 cm.) He held his hand over his arm as a light sweat began to form on his forehead from the sun. An ocean blue glow spread from his palm, as he willed the wound to close up like a zipper. He felt a small drain on his magic, and confirmed that indeed, his magic had dropped by 5%. There was no indication that there had ever been a wound on his skin. He summoned a notepad and pen, noting the information, before willing it back into his inventory.
Next, he used [Hematology] on the blood for a Complete Blood Count. He felt a much stronger pull on his magic than with [Triage]. He confirmed that indeed, his magic had dipped to 50%. He made a note of it as well as what the CBC provided: WBC Count, RBC count, RBC morphology, WBC differential, platelet count and morphology.
He took out a small umbrella and started walking, occasionally flipping [Lifesight] on and off. He manifested [Black Bolt] as he walked, holding it in his right hand. His magic had dipped by 10%, but would recover the used 10% when he stopped manifesting it. Only by actually throwing it did the mana stay consumed. More and more interesting, He thought. After about 40 minutes of walking, he discovered a well-trodden path, with tell-tale wagon ruts and horse dung that was neither fresh nor completely dry. He couldn’t see any smoke on the horizon, so it was likely more than 20 miles to the next settlement. He picked a direction and started walking that way.
As the sun dipped below the horizon he was left with a question. Would he camp, or keep walking through the dark? It’s not like things could sneak up on him at night if they were coming from somewhere he could see.
He kept walking, following the road by twilight, and then moonlight. He paused, however, when he saw a moderately red outline hunched over on the road in front of him. It had to be just within 500m of him. Michael materialized his bow and an arrow, nocking it, and approaching quietly.
250 meters. 200. 150. Lips smacked, cartilage crunched, wet and sticky, as it murmured and growled with hunger. 125. 100. His boot clattered a rock.
The munching stopped. Glowing yellow eyes piercing the dark. It walked on all fours. All sixes? 75. 60. 50. It stood on its back legs, growing taller and taller as it stretched its back, sniffing the air. Rotting scales. Exposed bones. Viscera exposed with fresh meat oozing from its ruptured stomach. Elongated face like a monitor lizard. And as the breeze blew through the grass, Michael realized he had made a critical mistake.
He was upwind.
With a nasty series of clicks, it charged forward. 40. He was shaking, pulling back the bowstring. 15. He couldn’t get a clear shot, its gait was serpentine! 5!

Game Help / Newbie / Simple Question Thread (Ask Where to Start Here!) - June, 2024, Monthly

Ask Here!
Please keep all your "Where should I start?" questions in here!
—As well as stuff like "Does Ryza have a time limit?" / "Are all of the games/subseries connected" and other game questions. (You'll likely receive more answers for questions related to Atelier than for other Gust games in this monthly thread)
  • Gameplay help-related questions are also welcome here, but not mandated. This is NOT officially affiliated with Koei Tecmo nor Gust:
Atelier Discord

Where do I start?

Who's that on the community icon & up there?
  • That's Gust's mascot! And her name is Gust-chan. She's also seen "managing" the Salburg shop (now called Gust Shop) since about 2002 and has made cameos in a lot of Gust games. The hat she's wearing isn't a hat, but her father. His name is Gust-kun! Crazy, right?

My game lags on PC/Steam!

Do Atelier and Gust games go on sale?

  • You'd do well to check the major sales periods but they don't always show up.
    • Use DekuDeals to see the price history on console platforms
      • Be sure to enable the PS4 & PS5 setting to see the price history on those platforms (it's disabled by default)
    • Use SteamDB to see the price history on Steam/PC platforms

Which of the Console Atelier games have time limits?

The way time limits work in Atelier is: Time is treated as a currency to the player. There is no way to replenish that time aside from loading a previous save slot or going through a New Game+ to save more days on the clock. So far that has been the case for the current time limit Atelier games.
  • Has Time Limits
    • SALBURG: Marie (and Marie Remake)Salburg1, ElieSalburg2, LilieSalburg3ExceptIt'sSetBeforeSalburg1
    • GRAMNAD: ViorateGramnad2

    • SECRET: Ryza 1, Ryza 2, Ryza 3
  • Has Partial Time Limits
    • MYSTERIOUS: FirisMysterious2:
    • MYSTERIOUS: Lydie & SuelleMysterious3: It has one chapter with a Time Limit— it's easy

Will preorder or early purchase DLC be available again?

They have not. Ryza 1 and 2 are the only exceptions so far (but it's specifically because they released it in celebration of their sales milestones)

Do the JP releases have EN text?

  • Japanese versions of the console releases do not include English text languages.
  • However, PC/Steam releases include both English & Japanese text languages!
    • Except for: Surge Concerto DX (because that DX release was never localized in English) (It's also region-locked to Japan on Steam)

I want to access the hardest difficulty without clearing the game first.

Grab the save files over here! Only PC/Steam players can use these files though.
  • It also includes: A convenience Firis save and a NG+ save for Meruru DX so you don't have to play it twice to get the NG+ ending.

2024.06.01 00:20 Peppa_Spray_Tan DIY Clutch Pedal Extender How-To (For Us Short People!)

DIY Clutch Pedal Extender How-To (For Us Short People!)
I did this on my Mk7.5 but it's probably accurate for most other Golf/GTI chassis/models. This mod was designed so I could sit comfortably (I am 5'7") and properly actuate the clutch since hydraulic clutches are not adjustable. It also has the side effect of improving the shifter feel and engagement because you may not realize with your stock setup that if your clutch seems disengaged but is only 95% because your leg is short, your shifter is going to fight you from going into gear smoothly.
This COMPLETELY changed my driving experience for about $15 and 15 minutes of work so I thought it would be a good idea to post for anyone who might be thinking about or looking into something of this nature.
REFERENCE ATTACHED PHOTOS
You will need:
(1) A rubber coil spring spacer block (click here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BVWFB9TZ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details or search Amazon for Heavy Duty Rubber Coil Spring Booster Kit, Rubber Coil Spacers, 1.5" Thick Pack of 4 or you can get them at the parts store of your choice). About 10 bucks as of May 2024. You only need one but they tend to come in 4 packs.
(2) Three #10-24 x 2-in Phillips-Drive Machine Screws with #10-24 nylon lock nuts. A few bucks at any hardware store or big box home improvement store.
(3) A wrench or preferably small vise grips, but anything that will hold your lock nut will work.
(4) A drill and a 1/4" bit (this is larger than than the machine screw but will give you some adjustability. A 6MM bit should also do the job.
(5) A hacksaw to slice the rubber bumper. This is the best tool but a jigsaw with a fine-toothed blade or other similar saw will work.
(6) A bench vise will make this much easier.
How to do it:
DRILL TWO HOLES IN YOUR CLUTCH PEDAL COVER - 5 MINS
(1) Remove your clutch pedal cover. You can do this by hand as it is just held on by the rubber perimeter trim and 2 slot-shaped rubber "friction tabs" that fit into slots on the pedal.
(2) Place your pedal cover upside-down into your vice and clamp.
(3) Drill through the two slot-shaped rubber "friction tabs" near the top of the pedal. Yes, drill all the way through the pedal cover.
(4) Turn the pedal cover over and remove some of the rubber around where the holes come through the top of the pedal. This is so your screw-heads can counter-sink which will prevent them from sticking out. If you have a 3/8 spade drill bit this actually works well. The tip goes into the hole you drilled, and the spade will clear the rubber (just don't drill the whole spade through the pedal!).
Underside of pedal cover - bolts pushed through.
SLICE THE RUBBER BUMPER - 2-5 MINS (and kinda fun)
(5) Slice all the way through the bumper to remove the "ears" from the top - see photo. Vice also helps here...
Cut off the \"ears\"
(6) Turn the bumper onto it's side and slice a little wedge out of it - see photo. This will help preserve the proper angle of the pedal to your foot. Skinnier part goes toward the top of the pedal.
Cut the bumper at an angle
(7) Insert the bolts into the two holes of the pedal pad/cover, and position the bumper so it fits completely within the confines of the cover and out of the way of the bolts. - see photo

BOLT IT IN (5-10 MINS)
(8) Slide your seat back for easier access and then position your new bumper-heightened pedal cover over the pedal while sliding the bolts through the factory holes in the pedal - perfect fit!
(9) Hand tighten the lock nuts so they don't slip off.
(10) Grab the lock nuts with your vice, wrench, or pliers and screw the bolts on a bit at a time, keeping everything lined up and snug. As it gets tighter, you'll notice the bottom of the pedal cover wanting to raise up - that's expected.
(11) Put a towel over your floormat under the pedal to catch some drill shavings, and then drill a third hole through the center-bottom of the pedal cover while it's on there, and continue through the actual pedal. The pedal is composite so it will drill right through. (This is the only tiny modification to the car, and can be covered with a new pedal cover if/when you decide to sell.)
(12) Thread on the third lock-nut and tighten the bottom bolt until everything is secure, aligned, and at the best angle.
https://preview.redd.it/1zq5swb67u3d1.jpg?width=1204&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc0570da7dbd8ada04419682ea34c5eacbf1a51a

Take it for a test drive and see how it feels. You can adjust the bolts, or remove and adjust the shape of the bumper, or grab another bumper from the kit for a totally new shape. Mine fit PERFECTLY the first time, and looks and feels factory fitted and sturdy.
You will thank yourself every time you drive. Not having to toe the pedal all the way down or sit too close to the steering wheel is worth every dollar and minute spent!
[Disclaimer: obviously this is not a factory modification so proceed at your own risk and comfort level. This approach was inspired by - and greatly improved upon - from a similar mod by a WRX owner.]

2024.05.31 22:34 BullfrogLeast9867 Code trouble

Code trouble
Hello,
I am trying to make some kind of a slot machine in Scratch. Right now trying to make it so that when all three of the slots are the same, the bet will get multiplied more compared to if it was only two of the same. But the code doesn't work, and I can't see why it isn't working. Also, is there any better way to make the bet only be subtracted or added to/from the money only once per button press, rather than having the timers set to 10 million seconds?

2024.05.31 21:54 Lanstrider Is it possible to upgrade both SSD's in Stellaris 16 Gen 5 AMD?

The tech spec says:
Two slots for super fast SSDs in space-saving M.2 form factor
2x M.2 2280 SSD via PCI Express 4.0 x4
But if you configure one and deselect the ssds, in the cart it says:
x without M.2 SSD
x without M.2 SSD 2 (upgradeable later)
Which seems to imply only SSD 2 is upgradable. I couldn't locate a user manual or anything to see what the slots really look like and the images they do have seem to not be the machine itself (the memory photo has a different layout from the battery photo, etc)...
Anybody know for sure?
I've got a ticket open too, maybe two: Ticket#991094079, Ticket#991094077 :)
