I have a friend from one of the big 3 unis and he keeps on asking me if i am keen to eat out with him. The problem is that i am an o levels student and i dont think he should be texting a minor. Blocking is easy but he takes the same bus as me often so he would be given the opportunity to confront me. He’s generally nice, i met up with him once with a friend to observe his personality and we both agreed he was chill.
However, some off behaviours i have observed is that even though i ghosted him on instagram he will still continue contacting me and asking me if i want to eat out. Another would be buying things for me (<$5 value) and although this was generous behaviour i feel like he shouldn’t be doing all this for a minor. He also asked me out of the blue if i want to go malaysia together with him one day. I think that’s really weird and unexpected since our age gap is quite large.
Adding on, he is aware that i have a boyfriend and he knows i am 16 this year, so i’m not sure whether i should interpret his actions as an act of friendliness or romance.
I’m posting this with the intention to get opinions regarding my situation. I could be reading too much into things.
TLDR: Uni graduate consistently asks me to eat out with him, takes the same bus as me so blocking is out of the question. He’s generally nice to me but there were some red flags i noticed such as buying things for me and asking me to eat out tgt with him. (+ other sketchy behaviour)

Hi, I was wondering if anybody has any clue whether getting something from Malaysia or areas in SEA has an additional charge that I wasn’t informed about? But ya, as expected, the subtitles by those Chinese streaming services (WeTV(Tencent Video)/iQIYI/YOUKU/MangoTV/etc.) are often machine-translated as well with these variety/reality shows (and Cdramas). I'm a Sri Lankan Indian Muslim (Sri Lankan National with Tamil Ancestry). Grew up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and did my schooling undergrad there. Moved to Malaysia for my postgrad studies in KL. I have a crush with a Chindian girl (Chinese Punjabi mix, Malaysian National). Her family is Christian Chinese cultural mixed.
We both have common classes in uni and meet up every class we have, chat general stuff on WhatsApp and slight jokes (This is what we call puppy love in our country). I don't want to go out on a date or develop more feelings for her if things are going to be hard for me and her in the future if we were to get married because of several racial issues that I've heard in this subreddit. Moreover my family has only one criteria for me that is the girl if were to love is to be a Muslim and all other factors don't matter to them. And to marry early is what they prefer instead of getting into Haram things (muslims might know what I mean). I've asked her indirectly a lot of questions and we both have quite a lot of doubts that I'll list down.
Now coming to my questions.

1. If we were to marry her in Malaysia officially, will she be forced to convert to Islam by the authorities ? (Cuz she prefers to stay in Malaysia)
   
2. I'm not well versed with Chindian culture and their traditions, considering the fact she's a Christian mix. How well would it work out between our families ? (We might prefer to live separately from our family if there's so much of a hassle and nag from each other)

I am from Philipinnes and planning to go out of country in August, in time for Bloom tour in Malaysia and Thailand. I will be choosing one city to go and attend the fancon, my problem is I dont know how to buy tickets. Exo-ls from Malaysia and Thailand, how do I buy tickets?

This isn't gonna be about the community or whatnot as I believe that's just us being nostalgic for our childhood freedom and also maplestory being our social network. For context, I quit playing maple two years ago.
The main thing I miss is having variety.
Training Variety
Before I quit, I found myself just leveling up new chars to 200 and getting bored once they hit 200. Even in OG maplestory, you could go slimes, stumps, octos to 30, and afterwards it's either ludi teddies, orbis tower sentinels, ant tunnel, and so many more options. We have ludi, orbis, aquarium, el nath, and so many amazing places with great arts and osts.
I know that the internet could also be a factor with people finding the most optimal spots to get to 200, but at least there are options. However, once you hit 200+, it's just all arcane river. There is no variety of mobs for a level. It's so boring.
Item Variety
I love having mobs drop gear when training and being able to equip that gear right away for the power boost and new look. It's it pretty dumb that from level 150 to end game, there are only really 3 different gear changes? (Root abyss -> absolab -> arcane). I remember in OG maple, I would look up all the different swords and be excited to use the Zion, Doombringer, or Blue Screamer. Now not only are there not many options, but because of all the work and investment into one eq (starforce, potential, flames), it makes it hard to switch.
Anyone else miss these?

Ever since this boycott on MCD, KFC, Starbucks, and so on. Many of their outlets have dropped in revenue or in worst case scenario they had to close down alot of outlets.
So on one hand, im glad we are boycotting those that support you know who but are we sure we have all the facts right about the malaysia’s outlets because as we are trying to help out one country, in the end we are just killing our own country as many of our fellow citizens are unemployed due to budget cut, being let go due to revenue drop or even closure of restaurant.
So my question, is it really worth it to make your own people suffer in the midst of trying to help someone totally from a different country ? Malaysians depend on that monthly salary to pay off their commitments or even support their family. Tak sakit hati ke ?
I know a few friends that have been struggling to find a job after being let go from those companies. Sedih man.

I could use some advice on a dilemma I've been facing. Back in 2013, I started studying for a mechanical engineering degree at Heriot-Watt University’s Dubai campus. I completed two years of study by 2015, but due to personal and financial reasons, I had to drop out and return to my home country in Southeast Asia.
Heriot-Watt has campuses in Dubai and Malaysia, with the main campus located in UK, Scotland. As I understand it, students can complete a three-year degree to earn a bachelor’s, with a fourth year option available for those who want to specialize further and earn an honours degree. After contacting student services, I was informed that I could still receive a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) for my completed two years but it’s not going to be regular bachelor’s diploma.
Currently, I’m working in customer service in the banking and finance sector. It’s a decent job, especially given that I live in a developing country, and it allows me to save up, albeit slowly. My original passion was in chemical engineering, but due to limited options in Dubai campus, I opted for mechanical engineering instead.
I'm now at a crossroads. On one hand, I still dream of completing my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and potentially working in roles such as a water treatment plant engineer, process engineer, or materials engineer. On the other hand, my current job provides financial stability little by little (although I’m still getting worried what the future holds for me in the next coming years), and I’m starting to wonder if I should just focus on advancing in this field or using my savings for other opportunities.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would it be worth it to pursue my degree after such a long break, or should I continue building my career in banking and finance? Any advice or personal experiences would be appreciated.
I might have to take it if there’s an opportunity to continue my studies at the Malaysia branch if things go well on saving up. I plan to choose the Malaysia campus because how close it is from where I live, like around a 4 hour flight. Though I can also opt-in for studying in UK, Scotland and experience how it feels to be in the main campus, but I presume this will be more costly. I don’t think coming back to Dubai is an option for me as well.

My horrible symptoms started since last year Nov, before this I had 2 serious food poisonings (non stop vomiting and diarrhea led to 2 weeks hospital admission) in both Bangkok and Malaysia and developed IBS, in the end cured with probiotics and IBS medication.
Sorry for negative post. I am Malaysia Male 36 who is a bone cancer survivor since 2010 but I am unsure what happened I got this horrible diseases! Latest urologist diagnosed me with both Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) and Mild Chronic Cystitis. He has released me on yesterday, he said no need find any other urologist none of them can help me except PSYCHIATRIST. He said my pain now is due to my mental and nerve damage!
I cannot breathe and thinking suicidal daily!
From my last post, although I have already seen 4 urologists in my country, done: -6 urine tests all clear,only first void urine culture managed to detect little bit e coli WBC less than 3, urologist said not consider bacteria infection and it is normal -4 semen cultures- did find little bit e coli n e faecalis after eradicated symptoms persist so no point chasing bacteria! -2 pelvic CT scans all clear -2 cystocopies all clear except mild cystitis -Mri prostate shown healthy and small prostate -PSA 0.2 -6 blood tests all clear except high cholesterol -Ultrasound clear except fatty liver -Endoscopy and colonoscopy clear except first degree internal hemorrhoids gastro said nth serious
Tried: -30 days levofloxacin totally useless n my bacterias resistant to it -30 days unasyn successfully eradicated my e coli n e faecalis but symptoms persist -14 says zinnnat totally useless -Latest admission, uro IV me with one week MONEM one of the strongest to kill bacterias such as e coli but totally useless to me -Countless Ural sachets to clear cystitis -Tried alpha blockers hytrin urief all making me more suffering Only thing managed to control my pain is Celebrex (nsaid)
Symptoms: If no flare up I am a normal person. But it will flare up daily at uncertain time : noon/evening/midnight -Horrible burning and soreness at base of penis/perenium -When it is flaring up, I feel urine traps in my base of penis -When it is flaring up, I feel lower abdomen has pressure and discomfort -When it is flaring up, I find it difficult to breathe my whole brain and neck are very tight I am suffocating -Last masturbation one month ago I dare not to do it! -I cannot do prolonged sitting to press my perenium it makes me uncomfortable -My gut is shit always feeling nauseous sometimes diarrhea sometimes constipation -Sometimes it will flare up before I sleep it causes me insomnia I forced to take xannax! -No night urine -No urgency and frequency so far, I can hold urine max 2 hours
Solution: 1.Can I kindly ask for dearest member here to help me? 2.I swear to God I really feel the horrible pain and burning but why all these urologists said they cannot help me further? They just shut me down and said my only solution is PSYCHIATRIST? They said all these problems related to my nerve?? 3.Latest urologist said if I cont take more antibiotics also won't heal me little e coli is normal? He asks me stop doing any further urine and semen culture test?? 3.Does anyone of you experienced what I am experiencing now? 4.Uro said mild cystitis requires no treatment just to avoid fried food, spicy and acidic.
