I’m a millennial. When we talk about porn, we say porn. We don’t say corn or use a corn emoji to represent porn. We say “dead”, not “unalive”. There are many times that I will see common words for crimes like rape changed to “grape” and other such words. I’ve seen this self-censorship mostly around Reddit and mostly from younger people, and I just don’t understand it. Is it a ban evasion thing? Is it just slang/lingo? Or are these people genuinely so uncomfortable with these concepts that they can’t bring themselves to refer to them normally, without censorship? I never saw this kinda stuff years back.

I F(17) spend many years in Europe and went back to my home country in Asia after many years due to Corona when I was 14. I didn't know at first and so did not my cousin who is like 8 years older than me about what my mother and his agreed to. Before y'all come at me -i am not a fan of cousin marriage and it is not something Islam promotes but it is very common from where I come from. Furthermore it is common that the guy is several years older (until he is like financially stable ) and the parents fix the marriage in your teenage hood and childhood and u marry when you are legal to do so. Usually the girl and boy are not particularly in contact until the marriage due to what religion requires of us. So I found out from other cousins after a few months and I immediately refused and I might have even considered it cuz my ex fiances family was very kind and nice and extremely rich and therefore were offering me a very happy life. However a major factor that stopped me was that for once he was 8 years older and I didn't like feeling inferior and he was overweight with a receding hairline. Both things Could have been fixed if he wanted to do so but he didn't which reflected his lazy mindset which further deterred me . I did not like him all even though he was a very mature calm and kind person. The sisters of my mother used to ignore my protests and make fun of it thinking I was just shy . Of course my religion allows a girl to refuse for marriage but it is very uncommon for a girl there to refuse someone their parents found. Eitehr I thought I wasn't ready for a commitment this big and I made it clear and I was ignored for years and for particular cultural reasons I couldn't approach my mom's sister or cousin directly about it and only complain to my mom about it who promised she would handle it. So this went on for when I was almost 17 and after that he used to come closer to me as he visited our house more often . He generally didn't talk to me because he was shy af and he thought my displeasure was because I was ashamed. Fast forward his father was pressurized by relatives to confirm the marriage and his mom asked my mom to confirm the engagement. I told my father who lived abroad about how I didn't want to and he explained to my mom how she should stop with this nonsense. This lead to a week of me crying and tension in the household since my mom forced my dad to make me say yes and she hated me for ruining the relationship with her wealthiest and kindest sister and thought I was too young and dumb and I would regret it later. I made my aunt and my cousin both cry apparently bcz I refused and my mom told them on their face that I think that he is fat and ugly ( which is extremely rude to say but true and not to mention I didn't even liked his personality which may have made me attracted to him otherwise) . The cousin let's call him "Neil" was desperate to make the engagement work as they had already spread it among the whole family and it would be very insulting for them if it would come out. What happened further was that he said he would wait 5 years or as long as I wanted because I wanted to go abroad and complete my degree there before thinking about marriage. I was pressurized so severely I nearly agreed and my mom caused several misunderstandings between my dad and me . It came to the point I had to talk to neil face to face about why I didn't want to Marry him and I mentioned all reasons beyond like his looks bcz the other reasons were true and important too . He was going to stay his whole life in the home country as his family's business was here and he was the oldest son while I wanted to live abroad. He would get old while waiting for me to marry which would be unfair to him and the fact that cousin marriages have a hugh chance of disabled children. Weeks passed and I broke the heart of my aunt and their family as well as my mothers .I found a while later that Neil seemed to have found a liking to me and although it started with his mom's idea he fell sort of in love too . ( I only assumed he fell in love because why would he still be inclined to Marry after all those insults and rejections and he was never able to look me into the eyes properly and was shy af around me and I heard he cried a lot when I rejected him and it was him in the end who refused to Marry anyone else and asked his mom to ask for me again and again. ) which is also a fatass red flag him not being able to accept my answer. I forced myself to make me like him because I felt bad for him since he wasn't a bad person at his core and I k he would treat me well although I think he is really cringe too judging from his social media. I was about to say yes to the engagement with the condition I would come back from abroad after 5 and then the wedding would take place. Everyone was glad etc until I found out that when the were planning to go to Saudi Arabia for umrah ( Islamic pilgrimage)as both families and mom and aunt secretly planned to nikkah ( islamic marriage )me there instead of engaging because truthfully they were afraid that I would never come from abroad and break the engagement from there . Although they promised that they wouldn't talk to me or disturb me for as many years as I wanted after the nikkah and Neil wouldn't talk to me at all too if I wanted I was very angry about them planning behind my back and thinking I wouldnt be able to refuse once we were there and such a big thing as nikkah at 17 (underage marriage is allowed in Islam as long as both are consenting) shocked and scared me like a lot. It fucked me up badly and I refused I didn't care anymore about how much I pitied them . My dad supported me and mom was mad af and we started avoiding them at functions. My other moms sisters thought I was stupid and illogical for refusing such a big proposal and since they were teh richest relatives of us. Eventually they stopped because they realised that I wasn't willing since years and wouldn't now and now after 6 months now in June I occasionally hear taunts and that it's . There was a period again a month ago where I almost succumbed to the pressure and rejected his mom then but again ( which was very immature of me but what do you expect of a 17 year old lol) . I hear Neil is still desperate to Marry me and it disgusts me a bit that he is romantically inclined to me cuz he is like 8 years older than me. Now they are looking for other proposals for him since he is already 25 and his mom does it behind his back because Neil insists he is gonna wait for a few years still for me. I am glad I refused Bcz I dont think theyll wait as long after he nikkah and force me to stay in Pakistan or something or do the wedding earlier as 5 years because his mom tells everyone they are looking for a proposal that they want to do his wedding soon which shows to me the were all lying to me. In August I will start my 12 th and 13 th and after two years I will go abroad and hopefully he will get engaged and married happily somewhere to spare me the further embarrassiment in the family.

I made the guild common farmland (not the planter), and i cant water it. I use barrels, the animation plays and nothing. I used a worker with barrel, he plays the animation with the water but again no water in the field. I tried the barrel on a planter and it works there. I also have a well near my field, is that stopping from watering the dield manually? If i put a worker on the well, it works, but its slow and wanted to help with barrels. I've been shopping around for my first compressor ice cream maker. Ideally I'd like something that can do around 2 quarts, has a strong motor, doesn't make too much noise, and lets you experiment and make mistakes. I've seen a lot of adequate options in the $200-$300 price range, but the common theme with the less expensive machines appears to be that the motors leave something to be desired with power, or the compressor doesn't get cold enough and you're doomed to a life of soft serve.
Now after some more digging to find the "best" ice cream makers, it seems for an extra $300 I could be getting something that I can use for many years without ever needing to think about what to upgrade to next.
The popular choice seems to be the Lello 4080, but I also found another machine, the Whynter ICM-255SSY. The Lello has sort of a cult following, while the Whynter machine is basically on the sidelines. Despite this, the Whynter gets really good reviews but nobody yet has gone into detail on how it stacks up against the Lello 4080, which is in the same price range.
I like the 2.5 Quart capacity of the Whynter machine, but I can't escape the thought that the Lello 4080 will last longer and make a consistently better ice cream.
Anybody here have experience with both machines? Is the Whynter worth choosing over the Lello?
Also, is there anything in the $400-$500 range that should be on my radar? I'll spend the extra money if it's really worth it, but if there's anything else I should be aware of, please share your recommendations! Thank you!

Hi everyone
I've read some posts, that could relate to this but mine's weirder... My Lenovo was slow out of the box. I reinstalled Windows 2 times already. Sometimes it goes to sleep and doesn't come back. Windows takes forever to boot up, monitors are flashing, and original ThinkPad docking stations work poorly. The computer takes forever to shut down. Fans are spinning always as in the laptop is overheating, even when I'm just browsing. Is this a common issue with Lenovos in general? Some people told me that Lenovos are not anymore what they used to be and are among the worst computers, besides Dell.
The clock speeds of the processor are as they should be (they are not stuck at low clock speeds).

I [F30] ghosted my Ex-boyfriend [M29] about two days ago, and I intend to keep it that way. My Mom thinks I could have been more mature, but my reasoning for doing so feels appropriate. I could be an asshole just because ghosting is in general hurtful, especially for that long of a relationship. I also never said no to him when he would ask to pick me up. I think I was too available for him.
Here is the back story:
During the length of three relationship, 8 months, my boyfriend always took the initiative to call and text me first. He would always picked me up after he got off of work to go over to his place. He lives with his Family. There was really never any space for me to initiate because there was always a text or phone call from him on my phone. I thought it was sweet at the time, but during the last two weeks of the relationship, it really became a daily thing. I would go over to his house every night, sleep over, and he would drop me off the next day.
Before I say more, I have to mention that over the course of the relationship, I let him know if he needed space, wanted to hang with the boys, or just have alone time, to let me know and I wouldn’t sleep over with him at his house. He never did. Even when he would hang out with his friends, he would invite me. I thought sweet, like he wanted me around so much because he enjoyed my presence, so I always said yes. However, on Sunday, as he is dropping me off, he brings up needing space, and how he couldn’t get “his shit done” or have person time to himself because he always had to entertain me since I was a guest in his house.
I remind him about the many opportunities I gave him to ask for space prior to this heated conversation, and I said that he can’t assign the blame on me for him not getting his “shit done.” There are quotes about that phrase because those are the words he chose to use when expressing how smothered he felt. He said he felt scared to ask because past girlfriends would get upset when he wasn’t with them. I told him to not project that onto me.
I also remind him that he always invites me and picks me up. I obviously didn’t have my car, so I couldn’t leave independently the next morning. He says he knows and he is not going to do that anymore, and he continues to say that he feels like I have no life outside of him. I do take offense to that, and I tell him to enjoy his space and leave into my apartment.
This happened around 10am. Between 10am to 4:30pm, I do not contact him in any fashion. He calls me at 4:30pm, asks what I am doing, and invites me to a movie. I’m immediately confused, and remind him of his request for space. He says his request is different this time because he wants to see me and knows it’s my day off. I had so many questions run through my mind about how he defined the difference, but I just tell him no, I don’t want to go to a movie because I didn’t feel like getting into another argument. He says okay, and we hang up.
Fast forward to around 7:45pm, I still had not contacted him. He calls again and asks me if I was sure. I say “yeah, I’m sure. Spend some time with the guys.” He hangs up so fast that I didn’t realize that he was saying bye.
At this point I’m very confused, and the anger I felt from the morning conversation is coming back up, now added with his contradictory behavior. It’s super frustrating to have all this happen in the same day.
I wait about 30 minutes because I’m letting all the conversations marinate, then I text him saying that I said no to his invitation because that morning he said me needed space and then he invited me out to the movies. Which one is it, space or time with him? He didn’t even wait a day to invite me to hang out. He just continued with the norm we had set up about seeing each other everyday night. I let him know I’m mad at him and that we need to all about it. I called him and he didn’t answer.
He texts me back saying goodnight and that he loves me.
I’m not okay with him leaving my call unanswered, so I call again, and this time he answers. Truthfully, I am immediately confrontational, which could be another asshole-y thing of me.
I tell him that I can’ believe he has the audacity to blame for me the lack of space between us when I have given him many opportunities to take personal time without it reaching a boiling point. I said I also couldn’t believe that he was contradicting himself by saying he needed space and then immediately asking me to hang out with him the same day.
All he says is that he is with his friends and that he can’t talk. He also said he needed space at this time again.
I’m more upset now because I couldn’t believe was dismissing the issue he created, so I leave him a couple of voice messages, explaining how mad I was. I was yelling, yes. I was not lady-like in the voice messages at all.
I call him again, and he must had either blocked me or turned off his phone because my calls go straight to voicemail. I’m crying now and just have a f**k it moment. I block him on social media, my phone and all. He can’t reach me whatsoever now.
From Sunday to now, he is still blocked, and we have not spoken. I don’t know if he has texted or called me, and I don’t see him just showing up to my apartment door randomly.
Here is my reasoning to ghost him:
He asked for space and then took it back, and then bailed on me and a conversation I felt like I deserved to address why he is being so contradictory. He left me to self soothing on the issue he started. He blamed me for his lack of communication. He blames me for him falling behind on his personal time and work. Lastly, he told me he thinks my life revolves around him and that I have nothing better to do than be with him.
I do not feel like that deserves any conversation or notice of me breaking up with him. I am moving on, but My mom thinks I was really immature, and I should have waited for him to contact me and tell him it’s over.
So am I the asshole?

I live in India and have built up my heat tolerance since I was a kid. My current go to build for basically every game is:
ER>RFC>Shieldbow>LDR>Bloodthirster
Explanation:
ER after the buffs is just superior to Muramana. It might be 200g more expensive and give less AD, but the crit and extra AH just make it better. The damage amp from crit literally is just higher than the Muramana passive.
RFC is common to all builds so won't bother explaining.
Shieldbow is just superior to Shojin's right now for Smolder. The crit chance actually increases your Q damage more than full stacks Shojin's, and the shield is equivalent OR MORE lategame to the health you get, while the AD is the same. The only downside is lower ability haste, but your Q only loses about 0.5 seconds of cooldown which is insignificant.
LDR and Bloodthirster are just good 4th and 5th items. LDR having both crit chance and armor pen makes it extremely valuable lategame vs both tanks and squishies once armor growth starts to kick in. Bloodthirster lifesteal, shield, and AD are just amazing to have as both a strong offensive and defensive item in one.
Overall, the build also has MUCH better auto attack DPS due to all the crit you have vs a Shojin's/Triforce/Muramana build.
tl;dr full crit Smolder has better damage and defensive stats at the cost of VERY minimal cooldown
Edit: Forgot to mention runes and starting items. I take Fleet footwork, Absorb life, Bloodline, Cut down, and secondary Celerity and Gathering storm.
These runes give the best health sustain in lane, plus Gathering storm ensures your lategame is even more overpowered so you can 1v5 if it comes to it. Cut down is just better, between the buffs and the fact that after 225 stacks you basically only do increased damage when the enemy is below 33.5% health, so the extra damage is wasted. Just take cut down, it's good.
I use Attack speed, Adaptive power, and the +65 health rune, but all of these are up to preference imo. You could take the AH rune, you could even take movement speed/tenacity if you think it would be good.
Finally, I take Doran's Ring. Gives some survivability with base health and increased ability damage with ability power, but most importantly it gives mana regen. Since my rune build doesn't use presence of mind, it runs into low mana problems until ER, but with the Q mana buffs Doran's ring is enough until you get it, with the added benefit of having more continued utility from your rune instead of redundancy.
