30m, this happened back in 2011 so it has been a while. I will be as brief about my ex step-father named Eric. That’s his real name and I would love it if he saw this🤭. The man was abusive towards my brother and I. My brother is 2 years older. Had this gem in my life from 9-17yrs. I was always so afraid to make any mistakes around him. Once I accidentally broke some vertical blinds while playing with our dogs. I knew he would be upset but decided to tell him later. I placed the SINGLE broken blind on the top ;hidden but obvious enough to see. My mom got home, we walked the dogs, got back 45 mins later. Eric is now home. I walk past the living room and Eric has this scowl on his face. Shit. He knows. I was going to tell him but here we are. Well, I walk into my room… I had this beautiful, 34 gallon saltwater reef aquarium, filled with fish, coral, and invertebrates that I acquired from working at an aquaculture store. It was 5 years old and I was very proud of it. I walk into my room and notice the water is too clear, like crystal clear and the corals are retracted. I rush over and see the fish I had raised from babies struggling to breathe. The water smelled of bleach/chlorine. It all died. We got into an argument, he convinced my mother that it was a random chemical reaction. Anyways, I waited about 8 months before going in for the kill. They started having marital problems so I took the opportunity. I broke into his gaming room/man cave and went snooping. In a WELL hidden place, I find a syringe, needle, steroids, likely a narcotic, handgun, and a dildo. I did know about the gun. 😎😎💅 It was too risky to be direct, even to my mother. She was blind to a lot. All I did was put the dildo in a different location to mess with his mind. Even if he suspected it was me, there is no scenario in which he can both confront me and maintain his dignity. Check♟👑 My mom found the dildo, as I found out years later. I told her about finding a “ syringe” in his room. I lied and said it was simply laying atop his man cave bed. Men can be so forgetful… 😏That led to her finding the rest. I also made sure she knew his throw away email, which I knew because he let me play on his Xbox from time to time. Well, it turned out to be his throw away email account for dating websites. Check and mate ♟ They divorced shortly after. TLDR: Recovering people pleaser put the nail in the coffin to his shieeettt stepfather.

2024.05.19 23:04 kerghan41 Yesterday I posted about my first attempt at 50 miles. Well today, I did it! (Long Post)
I started this morning at around 9:30 and finished in four hours and forty minutes. I'm happy I did it but the speed isn't where I wanted it to be. 10.7 MPH average and on the way back I had to stop A LOT more. I'm not sure if I should have fueled myself more or what but I started to get sick towards the end. I'd take a break, have some watesugar snack and then continue for a few more miles. Rinse and repeat.
My breakfast before the ride was a cup of brown rice, 4 eggs, salsa, and coffee. While on the trail I had a gallon of Gatorade/water mix, a bag full of raisins, some jelly beans, a peanut butter granola bar, and a protein/carb power bar. On the way back, because I was feeling a bit off, I got a bag of pretzels for salt.
The trail itself was awesome. I started in Ottawa, KS on the 'Prairie Spirit Trail State Park.' My goal was to make it to the 4th city which was exactly 25 miles. The trail was mostly woods and a few times it was heavy forest with large rivers/creeks to see. It was a rather hot day and there were some stretches of just wide open prairie and bright sun.
The 4th city felt like it was NEVER going to show up. Before I left I looked at a map and knew that there was a big lake at the start of this 4th city. On the ride I kept looking for the lake hoping it'd be over the hill. I was about to turn back... and then there it was! Quite a feeling.
One of my favorite highlights was about 10 miles in I saw a Mulberry tree and they are in season. I grabbed about 4 handfuls of Mulberries for some instant energy. I also saw a ton of wildlife and had two close calls which is making me hesitate doing that trail again.
The first close call is I'm pretty sure I saw an adolescent mountain lion. It was walking down the trail quite a ways ahead of me. At first I thought it was a large dog like a Labrador or something. As I got closer I knew it was a cat... but it wasn't a Bobcat. I've seen those before. I'd say this thing was about 50-60 pounds. While I don't think it posed a threat I had no idea if there were others nearby. I googled later and found that they hang out by river beds and this was right by one of those. Luckily, as I got close enough it slowly wandered back into the brush and I didn't see it again. It definitely didn't seem afraid of me.
The second close call was on the trip back. I was cruising going about 18-20 mph. I went over a hill and had to swerve as there was a decent sized snake lying right in the middle of the trail. Most likely baking in the sun. It was so fast that I was within a few inches of it and if it wanted to I would have been bit. Rattlesnakes and Copperheads are native here. Definitely had me freaking out for a bit, but I guess worse case... I had my phone on me.
How do you guys handle wildlife like this? I normally cycle alone as I prefer the quiet and to set my own pace. Should I rethink this?
The other wildlife I saw were all pretty cool. Lots of box turtles, snappers, ton of rabbits, squirrels, deer, and a couple close calls with hawks swooping down right in front of me.

I was wondering what would be the best fish specie/species to stock either My 30 or my 50 to achieve a high bioload yield for my plants. I understand that generally speaking, the bigger the fish, the larger the bioload. Would be interesting to learn about smaller fish that have a high bioload.

I'm renting an electric car - a Kia. And the guy at the desk said, obviously no gas, but if you don't re-charge, we charge an electricity rate. He said it's better than the $9+ per gallon of gas they usually charge.
I've never charged the car, watched a few YT videos, but they all have 'membership' cards and or an app.
We have a few free stations at the local grocery store, and I will try that, but wondering about the charges if I run out of time. I'm guessing the rental place's electricity is quite expensive

Anyways, some things really jumped out at me with this exercise. I had fun, and RK is a top-tier entertainer in any order.
One that really jumped out though was Ben Affleck as RC outside the store, and then Ben Affleck asking Jeremy Renner to do a job with him (from The Town, I believe). If Ben is RC… is Jeremy RK? Because through that filter, my read becomes about RC calling on RK to run a distraction as the Avengers assemble. Hard to explain this all coherently, because it’s just a series of impressions. I don’t have a syllogism to share, but I’m enjoying myself.
The gif from Split immediately preceding (or following, in this exercise) Ben Affleck outside of the store like RC, plus the way the Fight Club vid plays out (with RK positioned as the narrator)—if these posts are telling a story, and I strongly suspect they are telling some sort of story, then it further heightens my suspicions that RK has teamed up with RC and that all of it is 100% on the level. That is, they did the paperwork. They figured out exactly how ballsy they could legally be and then ran a fucking train on the hedges.
Do RK tweets move the price? Nah. Busted. And yet, while everyone was distracted by the ol’ KC Shuffle, I think our guy decided to do it himself. That is, a Teflon move was made that will absolutely wreck those dorks, executing some complicated and mysterious business plan that will ensure sustainability and profitability, and yes, squeezing the fuck out of this stock.
To clarify: I think RC chose to do it himself, but like, with his team of superheroes of course. Enough is enough. Enough was enough years ago. And I think he figured if regulators weren’t gonna do shit then he was finna do it.
We talk about just making sure the business is doing good, which makes perfect sense, but even if that’s the plan, that’s infinitely harder to execute with all these fucking vultures circling around. So he pulled the trigger. Peace, dickheads.
Honorable mention: the ATM scene from No Country—well whaddya know, Friday featured an ATM agreement.

2024.05.19 20:55 Artographe Vivid dreams and my brain feels tired but also fast?
I often get Vibrant dreams. I think they got more common once I started some meds but I've always had them to some extent. They used to be more fun, flying, superhero type fighting of bad guys, that sort of thing. More often the last year ish they've just been stressful, fighting people or being in difficult or stressful situations. Sometimes I don't want to sleep just because I don't want to dream. But lately I've been feeling the more typical hypo rapid speech, moving more quickly, getting more easily distracted but also getting lots of stuff done, except somehow my brain also feels tired. But tired in the overworked way, not like a sleepy way. It feels similar to several weeks into significant insomnia. I don't know if it's a new feeling or just the first time I've noticed it (quite likely). Anyone else relate? Or also have a way to get my brain to do deep sleep more or something?

2024.05.19 20:05 New-Row-3679 My story: First time boater - lots of water drained when plug pulled/drain plug issue, blower question… and update on previous gasoline smell and capacity questions. Need some opinions! BONUS: lessons learned! Please read and help me out! Thanks!
Hi All - first time boater here with questions and updates! Boat is a 175 Bayliner that I took out the first time.
First, I was super vigilante with everything around me and other boats, and swimmers/skiers in the water, also I had loved ones on board. (Also the guy I bought the boat from told me to expect to pretty much be the only driver and that I’ll most likely never get a turn, or want to take a turn on the inner tube anyhow based on the above statement)
I was taken out twice before buying so I learned a couple basics. I did put the drain plug in (metal threaded). I screwed it in as far as possible, which was about halfway even with a little wd-40. Also, while going fast I had a couple times where I slowed down fast, and could feel the wake behind me hit the back of the boat. Between either of these things, can water get in this way? I swear it was a couple gallons that came out. I made sure there wasn’t gunk in any of the threads of the plug or drain hole. I will closely inspect the boat for cracks and use thread tape next time to see if it makes a difference. Also, Water-activated bilge didn’t turn on when I gave it power.
I know blower needs to be on before starting. But does it need to be on when driving and/ or sitting just idling?
Gas smell Update: I asked earlier about a gas smell present in the garage. I checked the hoses and there was no cracks, fuel leaking out (I rubbed my hands all over parts where fuel could leak and none was present). I also covered the entire gas cap with aluminum tape to rule out that as the source and the smell was still present. Some people said some fuel vapors sort of permeate through the tank or faint gas smell is always and it isn’t super concerning so I’m going with that.
Capacity update: my boat has a capacity of 7 people/900 lbs and 8 seats. I asked if anyone would take 8 people (6 adults, two kids) and most responses were NO WAY and that it would be really crowded with 7 people anyhow! After the outing with 2 adults, 2 kids, I agree 7 would be way crowded and 8 would be just completely stupid and illegal anyhow.
Lessons learned the hard way! Lesson 1: Wife (first mate and only other adult) was too nervous to drive the boat, was too nervous to drive the SUV ( like never drove it EVER, even without trailer). Fortunately someone was nice enough back it up and help load it when we left. She will learn both very well.
Lesson 2: for safety reasons be quick to get the boat onto the trailer. When I was in the process of getting on the trailer a HUGE boat came in and pushed my boat off, almost into the dock and I ended up sideways. I dunno, maybe it was partially unavoidable but served a lesson that big boat wakes at the ramp is something else to be aware of.
Lesson 3: be sure to put trim down (once safe) before exiting the ramp because, whoa , it accelerates fast! And raise the trim before exiting the ramp, I scraped the skew 10 feet.
Also in regards to a couple jet-skiers (not all but some of them) why they gotta go so fast and all over the place in the no wake zone and cut in line at the dock?

I asked if anyone would take 8 people (6 adults, two kids) and most responses were NO WAY and that it would be really crowded with 7 people anyhow! After the outing with 2 adults, 2 kids, I agree 7 would be way crowded and 8 would be just completely stupid and illegal anyhow.
Lessons learned the hard way! Lesson 1: Wife (first mate and only other adult) was too nervous to drive the boat, was too nervous to drive the SUV ( like never drove it EVER, even without trailer). Fortunately someone was nice enough back it up and help load it when we left. She will learn both very well.
Lesson 2: for safety reasons be quick to get the boat onto the trailer. When I was in the process of getting on the trailer a HUGE boat came in and pushed my boat off, almost into the dock and I ended up sideways. I dunno, maybe it was partially unavoidable but served a lesson that big boat wakes at the ramp is something else to be aware of.
Lesson 3: be sure to put trim down (once safe) before exiting the ramp because, whoa , it accelerates fast! And raise the trim before exiting the ramp, I scraped the skew 10 feet.
Also in regards to a couple jet-skiers (not all but some of them) why they gotta go so fast and all over the place in the no wake zone and cut in line at the dock?

Shorts will try to mislead all of us with their lies and deciept but if we hold strong I believe that the stock will go to at least 50 ish in the short term where they did their secondary. I believe at that point, RILY may run into a bit of resistance. However, a squeeze could easily send us through that to new highs. Patience is the key as they have stated all this in their press releases in the recent past. If we al on this sitel just buy 100 to 1000 shares on Monday and hld through the 29th to get the dividends. this will rocket to new heights. This is not a recommendation, simply my thoughts. Again, it doesn't sound like a huge number but it would add pressure to what will become a dire situation for the shorts. The shorts may decide not to cover, or to continue the strategy of taking their losses and re-shorting, but their ability to influence the stock back to a level where they truly profit is nonexistent in my opinion, particularly when volume dies between market-moving events. Yesterday I diagnosed him with Velvet. He has been lethargic lately, not eating, and after some research I shined a light on his body in a dark room, and he looks like he has been sprinkled with Golden dust ( w . I have him currently in a hospital tank, at 85° treated with aquarium salt and copper, dosed at recommended amounts per bottle instructions tank is also covered with a towel to black it out since the parasite life cycle is shortened by the dark. After 24 hours in hospital tank he is swimming and has eaten, but is still has gold dust on his gills and fins.. I'm worried I won't be able to cure him. is the disease too far progressed? So, way back after season 1 came to an end, there was an actual period of time until season 2 came out. I was a kid and going crazy because there was no content. I really got into this small community of editors(?) who photoshopped Screenshots and made their own story or cool edits.
There was this one girl who made her own superheroes. One was a girl, who's whole thing was that her miraculous was based on a cheetah. (I think? The patterns were very minimalistic, but it was either a cheetah or a leopard) She also had long brown hair that I think was in a braid-ish hairstyle, but I may be remembering that part wrong. The other one was a guy. I don't remember what his miraculous was like but he was very emo and the creator shipped him with Adrien. There was one edit where they were kissing in the bushes and there was a whole video (animatic style) with the OC and the song "I'm not gay"

During the week, I masquerade as a physical education teacher, attempting to instill a love of sports in kids who are more interested in finding creative ways to avoid cross country runs. To maintain my sanity, I hit the gym regularly, pretending that lifting weights will somehow turn me into a Marvel superhero. Spoiler alert: it hasn’t worked yet... YET!
