Hey all! I am one week into ownership of my 2024 model Y. I'm based in Toromto, Ontario. This is my first EV, coming from a 2019 X3. Honestly, I didn't think I would like this vehicle this much. It's absolute pleasure to drive. Love the fact there is no oil changes or gas to worry about.

2024.05.18 22:46 AncientRaig Tokugawa or Sherman for secondary license on a Genghis Plasma Thrower build?

I'm starting to feel like a bit of a broken record, but this is the only place I've gotten decent advice so far. My party's primary ranged Striker, a Death's Head, is no longer playing with us and their replacement really wants to play a Heavy Gunner Sherman with the Loza's Plasma Caster that our GM just gave us access to. The build seems solid, but it leaves us doubling up on Heavy Gunner StrikeControllers with no ranged heavy hitter, since I was running a Heavy Gunner Worldkiller with the Krakatoa. After chatting with our new player I decided to swap to a TechnoThumb Plasma Thrower build to keep our party balanced out, but I can't decide whether to go for Tokugawa or Sherman as my secondary license.
Both use Spaceborn 1 so I can move a decent distance without needing to put points into Agility. I could swap it for Vanguard 1 and try to get 2 points of Agility, but both builds rely on Limited systems so dropping Engineering is out of the question and our GM tends to include least one enemy that either hits hard or has some way to counter my armor, so dropping Hull leaves me uncomfortably vulnerable. And I'm not convinced that 8 Evasion will be a significant difference to 6 Evasion, even with near constant soft cover from Furiosa.
The first build is the closest to actually filling the shoes of our missing Death's Head, as it's a fairly straightforward Genghis/Tokugawa Striker build that uses LUCIFIER and NuCav 2 to crank up the Plasma Thrower's damage output when needed while Deep Well, BT, and NuCav 3 sort of keep the heat generation in check. Heatfall makes the Superheavy action economy a little less painful, SBD for more heat cap so I can get the most damage possible out of LUCIFER without exploding (much).

The second build tries to retain some use as an area-denial Controller by swapping Tokugawa for Sherman. ASURA and Heatfall lets it abuse the action economy as hard as possible, while Redundant Systems Upgrade and Adaptive Reactor makes repeatedly overheating while A Pleasure To Burn is active an actually viable tactic to restrict enemy movement and deal some additional damage. I debated swapping Heatfall for Intergrated Ammo Feeds for more uses of RSU, but TechnoThumb and NuCav 3 can probably handle most of my normal heat management needs and 3 uses seems like it would be enough for most deployments.

2024.05.13 17:17 computerlunch Main Simulation Tree Contest

Main Simulation Tree Contest
Hello Universe Architects,
As we all know, Cell To Singularity has some pretty epic trees. But during the years that Cell To Singularity has expanded its branches and nodes, we’ve had the pleasure of watching players make their own trees alongside us.
And now’s your chance to put those skills to the test! Our next community contest is…
The Main Simulation Tree Contest
Have you always wanted to see arthropods on the Main Simulation tree? How about a special branch just for axolotls? It’s time to show your Cells skills by designing your own branch on the Main Simulation tree!

About

What kinds of entries are we looking for? Our team wants to see new branches on the Main Simulation tree featuring scientific content that isn’t currently in the game. Whether it’s only two trait nodes or a cluster of generators and nodes, the choice for customization is yours!
*NOTE (EDITED): Due to limitations within the game, unfortunately we are unable to implement winning branches as Cell To Singularity in-game content at this time. We are very excited to see what all contestants are passionate about, and the winning entries will receive special shout-outs on our social channels! For official prize information, please refer to the Prizes section below.

Rules

To make sure the process is fair for all contestants, there are a few rules everyone needs to follow in order to successfully enter.
https://preview.redd.it/5m1ltehem70d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=7ec911bb68ca26c89e767851145021dcd3dd09ac
  1. Contestants can only create branches that expand from the Main Simulation. Unfortunately, Beyond, Mesozoic Valley and Explore Event trees will not be accepted at this time.
  2. While we love the trees that players have created over the years, they will not be accepted as entries for this contest. This will make it more fair for any players who haven’t made a tree before.
  3. Only one entry per contestant will be accepted. If you submit more than one entry across all submission platforms, we will only count the first entry that was submitted.
  4. Entries submitted past the deadline will not be accepted (deadline details below).
  5. In addition, a short writeup about your entry is expected. Please include what tool you used to create your tree.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation to help make this a fun contest for everyone! Now, onto the more fun sections…

How to Enter

In order for your entry to be seen by the devs, let’s make sure it’s getting sent to the right place. You can choose any of these three platforms to submit your Main Simulation branch:
https://preview.redd.it/ta8zb72km70d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=d90086ce0077f6269cf7d23e6461a89d6f9291bb

We’re excited to see what you make! Okay, now onto the REALLY fun part.

Prizes

What kinds of prizes will the winners receive? In addition to a hefty Darwinium haul, we’re also offering 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners a special first-time prize: Infinity Passes!

  • 2nd Place: 1,000 Darwinium + 60-Day Infinity Pass
  • 3rd Place: 500 Darwinium + 30-Day Infinity Pass
The Infinity Pass is our new ad-skip feature that can currently be purchased in the Darwinium store. We’re excited to be giving three contestants a chance to win one with their awesome tree designs.
There’s more, though! There will also be a special reward for the entries that speak to our Discord mods. Here’s what they’ll be giving:
  • Prizes for the Discord Mods’ Favorites: 300 Darwinium + 30-Day Infinity Pass x3
Woah— that’s a lot! But before we begin connecting nodes and designing generators, let’s talk dates.

2024.05.08 00:24 MrBoudy How to face Tyranids horrors ?

Hello fellow guardsmen !
First time here, and it's a pleasure.
I need some strategic advices from veteran's commisars and commanders ! I'm quite a casual player and oftenly playing against my bother who's playing Tyranids, and i really struggle winning (1 win in almost 10 months of 2/3 games per month). I don't really play for the win, but i would like to, atleast, offer some challenge to my brother but it seems that i get stomped most of the time.
I feel that i'm not playing really well, so i can't say that i'm not a part of the problem, but i would know at least some directions for my lists, or some advices to face the match-up.
Here's what he was playing during last game (his lists can vary, but are often heavy on monsters) :
Tyranids : Invasion Fleet (2000pts):
Characters :
-Deathleeper (80pts)
-Neurotyrant (105)
-Hive tyrant + Adaptative Biology enhancement (260)
BatteLine :
Infantry :
- Biovore (75)
Monsters :
I've tried different approaches to this kind of lists but i'm not satisfied... So what would you do against this, how would you approach the match-up ?
Thanks everyone for your advices, and may the Emperor protect !

2024.05.05 19:00 Luff84 X4 Questions

After vowing never to get an Insta360 camera again here I am asking questions about the X4!
For context, I was a frequent user of the X3 using it for both pleasure and work and what forced me to sell it was 2 things. Firstly, I had issues with the audio not syncing properly when vlogging and the lip-sync looked terrible. After many ways to try and sort this I just couldn't get it right. This was with the internal mic and not external.
In general I found the X3 to be a bit buggy
The 2nd was down to export quality. For work I'm exporting to IG and TikTok and it just did not look good at all when cropped into portrait.
Could anyone tell me if the X4 has buggy software and also if the export quality in portrait from an 8K 360 video is a good improvement of the X3?

2024.04.26 21:34 SaltySoul12 Insta360 Support - My positive experience & Feedback

Insta360 Support - My positive experience & Feedback
Today I want to share with you my positive feedback about insta360 support.
Today I want to share with you my positive feedback about insta360 support.
Before I buy my insta360 x3 in September 2023 I was doing my search for which 360 camera I would go for.. after some search ended up going for the X3 but something I always found people talking about was the customer service that was not good or as expected for a camera this price.
Still nowadays I read a lot of bad comments about Insta360 customer service.. and so here’s what happened to me and that’s why I’m writting this positive feedback.
When I bought my insta360 X3 I bought with sticky lens guard and invisible dive case and Insta360 Care.
For better stitching insta360 advise to take the sticky lens guard off when using with the dive case, but as I use a lot of times in different environments and action sports, I want to have the lens safe with the guard put on everytime I’m shooting out of the water..
The first time I tried to take it off, it broke on top of one of the lens guard..
Also my 114cm selfie stick somehow seem like from 2 or 3 usages in sea water, even though cleaned with fresh water after use got tight and hard to extend or retract.
I talked about this 2 cases with the insta360 and the costumer support was 5* for me as they were going to replace the sticky lens guard (just had to pay for shipping or wait that I have an order to send in the same shipping and save on that).
About the 114cm selfie stick, they also are going to send a new one for free and now they are going to send the sticky lens guard on the same shipping.
All this just to share my honest opinion that so far for me it’s been a pleasure to have fun and work with insta360 X3 and have nothing but good to say about their costumer support

2024.04.25 01:04 Murky-Concentrate-75 What is even a point of playing bugs?

So in automatons, if you get 3 hulks, you make 6-9 shot and they are dead, after that you reload. If you have mob of something smaller than hulk you put exactly one shot from dominator to head, you have 15, so you can kill patrol in 2 clips. Tanks and factory striders are very slow, and barely do any damage. And they are infrequent. So you can kill anything just when you see it and just do what you want.
With bugs, you can have 3-4 chargers at once, and you can't kill all 3 within one reload, to add, you can't outrun them in straight run, and when all 3 are attacking you can't dodge them all. They will violate laws of physics and pull off unreasonable G forces, teleport up a hill, and inflict collision damage by telekinesis, without even touching you. Same goes, for bile titans, there can be 2-3 on one poor guy, and they are not as safe as factory striders.
Every other kind of bug, just plain stronger than automaton counterpart, and has more speed&hp than automaton counterpart and each one of them pushes you.
With all that, it is more pleasure to play when you can kill whatever game throws at you that same moment it does, instead not being able to do that.
It has nothing to do with skill, since not being to kill 3 chargers the same moment they undig in your face is hard-limited by game math, whereas same game math allows you to kill up to 5 hulks that face you per one autocannon reload.
Exhaustion wise, you need to kill from x2 to x3.5 enemies(200-250 -> 500-650) in the same time frame, each of which takes more effort, on 9, which is more load and makes up for less playing time, and stress strain inhibits dopamine generation, so simply not fun.

2024.04.24 13:53 ForwardBar2711 I'm returning to SaaS startups, anyone else?

I'm working on startups instead of retiring on passive income... Here's why... 👇
I spent a week in Washington, DC, a few months ago on a business-pleasure trip. I was trying to decide what my next move should be... Should I stick with a services business or enter a different field?
And on that sunny Washington morning, while I was drinking my espresso in a coffee shop in front of the Potomac... A few things became clear.
I had to decide between continuing as a solopreneur and building a team. If I wanted to stay solo, I could x2-x3 the agency revenue and call it a day. I could go FIRE and live off the passive-ish income. But if I wanted to work with super-talented people, it would be difficult to do so as an agency.
Why?... -> It’s tough to define a clear scope for an agency and stick to it. -> There is always an odd request from a client. As long as they pay, you oblige. -> So, the agency's mission is highly fluid: You always do what clients would pay for.
When you compare that with a product company, where: -> Your team understands the mission. -> The scope of the problem and your product solution is super clear. -> Every time you solve a customer problem, you also solve your problems.
The product company wins.
And so, when I decided I was not ready to FIRE yet and live off passive income. And I want to work with exciting and talented people. I knew the right move is to go into SaaS. Not to make s*** tons of money, appear on the Forbes 40 Under 40, or raise VC money and feel important.
I realized SaaS would help me to build a world-class team. I'd have to deal with my internal blockers: -> Learning how to work with people, and not just with computers ;) -> Finding people who are better than me in specific fields. -> Committing to a monthly salary spend.
But on the flip side: -> It'd help align people around a bigger mission that they find exciting. -> I'll be able to grow talented people into high performers. -> I'll take the position of a coach and a scout combined.
So, I decided to take the jump and use SaaS to work on my biggest weakness: Being a team leader and a member.
Any other SaaS Founders out there doing something similar? I'd love to hear from you.

2024.04.20 11:53 McPola SUV/Crossover in Dubai

Hi Guys.. I’m working towards my Driving License at the moment and at the same time, researching for a SUV/Crossover to buy.
While looking through some reviews and dealer websites, I noticed that there are some good vehicles which are not sold here, like the Toyota 4runner or the Honda Passport. But you can still find a good one in the market, used.
Any opinion on their repairs and spare parts ?
I’m leaning towards Toyota or Honda and when it comes to the mentioned models, they share most of the mechanical parts with other models from the same brand and this issue would arise only with body parts I think.
Any suggestion for a good, reliable and easy to maintain SUV with light off-road capabilities would be highly appreciated.
I’m ready to spend around AED 2000 per month for this and only off roading would be the trails to the campsites here since I would like to go on camping trips often. I believe any SUV/Crossover with a good AWD system and a bit of Ground Clearance would do the job.
Currently looking at following options
  1. Honda CRV/Pilot/Passport (around 2020, full-option)
  2. Kia/Hyundai - Mid size SUV (Full-Option)
  3. BMW X3/X5 - Around 2015 (Semi/Fully Loaded)
  4. Toyota RAV4/4Runner - Around 2020 for RAV 4 (Asventure Trim) and around 2017 4runner. But, to be honest, not a huge fan of Toyota’s driving pleasure
  5. Jeep Wrangler - Late JK model (5 door)
Thanks in Advance !

🔗Military Tactical Backpack: 45L Capacity, Waterproof & Molle Compatible

https://preview.redd.it/yjxwhrmvc0vc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=676d27213d3d9dff26919fa5e8790f8eee9482c3
I remember the first time I tried out the QT&QY Military Tactical Backpack - it was like a breath of fresh air compared to my old, worn-out backpack. The moment I lifted it, I felt the sturdiness and weight of the military-grade materials. I appreciated the Molle modular design that allowed me to attach extra pouches and gear, making it perfect for hiking and trekking. I also liked the multiple compartments that kept my belongings nicely organized.
One of the best things about this backpack was the comfort it provided while I was on the go. The padded shoulder straps and back area with mesh made carrying it a breeze. The high-quality zippers and easy adjustable waist straps were the cherry on top.
However, I can't be completely honest. The care instructions, which stated that it needed to be hand washed only, felt a bit restrictive. Also, the waterproof feature was great for outdoor adventures, but I wished it had a better system for carrying heavier items.
On the whole, the QT&QY Military Tactical Backpack was a reliable and stylish companion for my outdoor adventures, which made it a great purchase despite its minor drawbacks.

🔗Rolling Range Bag with Enhanced Durability and Organization

https://preview.redd.it/hxlcnrwvc0vc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e750f34dad7d145d6e72581f2a6185ca226b4529
Imagine heading to the airport with a bulky, heavy bag that's a hassle to carry around. That's where the Blackhawk A. L. E. R. T. bag comes in handy. I've been using this rolling range bag for a few months now, and let me tell you, it's made a world of difference in my travel experience.
First off, the ease of movement is unparalleled. The hideaway pull handle and smooth inline skate wheels make it a breeze to maneuver through busy terminals and tight spaces. The handles on both ends and the full wraparound carry handle make it not just easy to carry, but sleekly stylish as well.
The interior is a game-changer. The nine mesh pockets allow for easy organization, ensuring nothing gets lost in the depths of the bag. And the fully accessible hinge-type lid is perfect for those last-minute item checks before you head out.
However, there was one downside. This bag might be on the expensive side, but it didn't quite live up to its price tag in terms of durability. After just a few trips, both wheels began to bow out, diminishing its value in my eyes. Despite this, the Blackhawk A. L. E. R. T. bag has been a reliable companion for my travels, and I'd recommend it for those seeking a stylish and convenient way to transport their gear.

🔗Durable Tactical Backpack with 34L Capacity

https://preview.redd.it/wr9ctygwc0vc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11e2caa272734565bd08b7245fd5aa459262f736
Last week, I embarked on a trekking adventure in the wilderness, and my trusty companion was my 34L Orca Tactical backpack. This small army bag from Orca Tactical boasts a 1-2 day usage, perfect for my camping trip.
One of the best features I noticed was its water-resistant and scratch-proof coating, ensuring it could endure any harsh conditions without damage. The backpack is made of 600D polyester material, which is remarkably durable; it could withstand being tossed in the mud or being wet for hours without suffering any wear.
The Orca Tactical backpack also has a comfortable and adjustable chest strap and waist belt. The shoulder harnesses are made with a breathable, air mesh, which helps keep my shoulders cool and the load comfortable. The shoulder straps have elastic bands for maximum flexibility, allowing me to carry more weight without compromising comfort.
The bag has multiple compartments that can accommodate various sizes of gear. The padded larger compartments are ideal for storing bulky items like camping stoves or sleeping bags, while the smaller front pockets are perfect for holding smaller accessories like maps. The main compartment has a mesh pocket and a zippered pocket, ensuring that everything stays organized.
A feature I found particularly useful was the MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) compatible system. This allowed me to attach additional pouches and gear, providing even more storage space for my adventure. I've found MOLLE systems incredibly useful when I need to organize my gear quickly.
However, there were a couple of downsides I noticed. Firstly, the backpack doesn't have external bungees to attach additional gear. Secondly, the padded hydration bladder compartment only accommodates a 2.5L water bladder, which might not be enough for longer hikes. Still, these are minor inconveniences that can easily be overlooked considering the bag's overall quality.
In conclusion, the Orca Tactical backpack has been a reliable companion on my camping trip. It's sturdy, versatile, and spacious, providing all the storage I needed for my adventure. Though there were a few minor drawbacks, the pros far outweigh the cons, making this an excellent choice for anyone in need of a durable, comfortable backpack.

🔗Versatile Blackhawk 3-Day Assault Pack for Backcountry Adventures

https://preview.redd.it/92h3qzexc0vc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30447a647d0c8b5f4b4bab487207edd14a36b799
As someone who enjoys the great outdoors, I was thrilled to try the Coyote Tan Blackhawk 3-Day Assault Pack. This backpack is the ultimate companion for weekend camping trips or even long hikes when you need more space. One of the coolest features is the compatibility with a hydration system - I used it to carry a few liters of water on my last hike and it worked like a charm. The detachable sternum and waist belts provide a perfect and comfortable fit.
Using this bag has been a breeze. Everything stays in place, thanks to the silent zippers and pull tabs. I also like how it has multiple compartments for organizing gear, which is great for keeping everything clean and safe. However, it is a bit heavy, weighing in at 3.4 lb, so this is something I would have to consider if I ever go on a more strenuous adventure. But overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It's a solid, rugged pack and perfect for those who need to carry more stuff with them.

🔗Durable Multi-Day Blackhawk Assault Pack in Black

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Blackhawk Stingray Pack EDC in my daily life. This bag is crafted from high-quality materials and is built for performance and durability. It's perfect for everyday carry, with a capacity of 1400 cubic inches and available in three colors. The 500D nylon construction ensures that it can withstand anything, while the padded compartment at the back accommodates either a laptop or hydration reservoir.
One aspect I really appreciated was the side and top zippers that extend all the way to the bottom, allowing the user to lay the pack flat if needed. It's a simple feature that makes a big difference when you need to access items at the bottom without having to unzip the entire pack from the top. The Stingray also has a semi-rigid molding to maintain shape and protect contents, which is a nice touch.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks to my experience. The backpack straps aren't particularly wide, which could be a downside for some users. Additionally, I would have liked to see more pockets and perhaps a hidden zipper pocket in the back for added security. Lastly, the main carry straps could be wider for added comfort.
Overall, the Blackhawk Stingray Pack EDC is a well-built and versatile bag that would be a great addition to any EDC setup. With its understated look and excellent construction, it certainly stands out as a high-quality choice for everyday carry.

🔗Blackhawk Ultralight 3 Day Assault Hunting Backpack

https://preview.redd.it/qkran16yc0vc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=46d55b346981ae6dae3c8bf546839b590034d905
I recently had the chance to use the Blackhawk Ultralight 3 Day Assault Backpack, and let me tell you, it was an impressive experience. Constructed of lightweight, high-tenacity nylon, this backpack is perfect for hunting trips or any outdoor adventure where carrying extra gear is necessary. The S. T. R. I. K. E. webbing provides a secure way to attach additional items, and the compatibility with the Blackhawk Hydration System is a game-changer.
The padded shoulder straps with D-rings make this pack comfortable to wear, even when carrying a heavier load. The 2000 cubic inch capacity is just the right size for a 3-day expedition, without being too large or cumbersome. However, one downside I noticed is that the backpack is not water-resistant, so make sure to pack accordingly for wetter conditions.
Overall, the Blackhawk Ultralight 3 Day Assault Backpack is a well-designed and durable option for those looking for a high-quality backpack to assist them on their outdoor adventures. While it may be on the pricier side, the craftsmanship and features make it a worthwhile investment.

🔗Blackhawk Cyane Tactical Assault Pack: Durable and Versatile Option

https://preview.redd.it/lnpk9hjyc0vc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=265c4a70d7f6fa8e032cc42788fc4e65ce1d8ddc
The Blackhawk Cyane Dynamic Pack was a dependable companion on my outdoor adventures. Its robust construction and high-quality materials guaranteed durability and withstood even the toughest terrains. The zipper pulls provided a comfortable grip, making it much easier to access the contents of the pack.
With its modular design, the Cyane Dynamic Pack was a versatile choice for standalone use or attaching to armor carriers and vests. With its storage compartments and rows of webbing, it was well-equipped to handle a variety of items, although I wished for better organization within some pockets. The lack of MOLLE webbing also limited the range of attachable pouches, but overall, it was a suitable choice for those seeking a lightweight and durable assault pack.

🔗Blackhawk Assault Medical Backpack with Customizable Storage

https://preview.redd.it/6ohhnoxyc0vc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9ec0918828f83314c7dffcea181905345a3b329
I recently started using the Blackhawk Stomp Medical Backpack, and it has become a reliable companion during my outdoor activities. The pack has multiple pockets, including the outside flap, which has two netted, zippered flat pockets. This feature allows me to keep my medical kit organized and easily accessible. My favorite part is the next flap, which has several elastic stays, one large zippered pocket, and four medium open pouches, providing ample space for storing essential medical supplies.
One of the most impressive aspects of this backpack is its durability. The 1000-denier nylon material withstands wear and tear, making it perfect for various outdoor environments. The weight of this backpack is 7.54 lb, which might seem a bit heavier, but it allows me to carry all the necessary supplies, including up to two 100 oz hydration reservoirs.
Using this backpack has been an incredible experience, and I've noticed that, while it is a bit bulky, it's worth it when I need to treat an entire squad. The adjustable shoulder straps, web belt, and sternum strap ensure a comfortable fit, making it easier to carry the backpack for extended periods. Overall, I highly recommend the Blackhawk Stomp Medical Backpack for anyone in need of an efficient and durable medical pack.

🔗Durable Tactical Blackhawk Assault Pack for Static Line Jumping

Last weekend, I had the chance to test out the Blackhawk Velocity X3 Jump Pack while camping in the desert. As someone who enjoys the great outdoors, this backpack was perfect for my needs. The unique feature that stood out the most was its compatibility with BLACKHAWK! hydration reservoir systems. This made it a breeze to stay hydrated throughout my adventure.
In terms of durability, the heavy-duty 1000 denier Nylon construction and quad-stitched seams made the bag a reliable companion. Its toughness kept all my gear safe and sound, even on rocky trails. Additionally, the map pocket and front pocket made it a breeze to access my essentials while on the go.
That being said, there were a couple of downsides to the Velocity X3 Jump Pack. Firstly, the 22-inch length might be a bit too short for some taller individuals. Secondly, the jumpable design might be overkill for those who don't need or plan on skydiving.
Overall, the Blackhawk Velocity X3 Jump Pack impressed me with its quality, versatility, and durability. While it has a few minor drawbacks, its performance in the field made it a worthwhile investment for outdoor enthusiasts.

🔗Blackhawk Special Ops Medical Backpack: Lightweight and Customizable EMS Solution

https://preview.redd.it/wazfwyuzc0vc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=caec85db03eaf2988cccc8592a699015de6eaf26
The Blackhawk Special Ops Medical backpack is a lifesaver, both figuratively and literally. This mid-sized, frameless medical pack has become my go-to for hunting trips, where I need to be prepared for any emergency.
The fully opening design allows me quick access to everything inside, making it a breeze when dealing with critical situations. The adjustable S. T. R. I. K. E. webbing on three sides gives me the freedom to attach gear as needed, while the contour-padded shoulder straps and waist belt ensure minimal strain.
However, I found the cubes to be a bit small for storing all the essential items I need. Overall, I'm definitely satisfied with the product, and it's earned its spot in my hunting gear rotation.

🔗Durable and Versatile Blackhawk Assault Pack

As a frequent traveler, I've tried various bags to carry my gear, but the Blackhawk A L E R T Bag Medium has truly stood out. The sturdy 1000 denier nylon construction, combined with the reinforced stitching, gives me the confidence that this bag can handle the wear and tear of my adventures.
One of the most convenient features is the spacious compartments, which allow me to keep my belongings organized and easily accessible. The zippered mesh dividers ensure that everything stays in its place, making it a breeze to unpack at my destination.
The best part? The pull handle and wheels make it a breeze to navigate through crowded airports and busy streets. It's no wonder this bag has a 4.2-star rating and 10.0 reviews!
However, like any product, there are a few drawbacks. Some users have mentioned issues with the durability of the wheels and the zippers, which can be a concern for those who rely on their bags for extended periods. But overall, the Blackhawk A L E R T Bag Medium has been a reliable and convenient companion on my travels.

🔗Durable Military-Inspired Assault Load-Out Bag

The Blackhawk Assault Load-Out Emergency Response Transport bag - let's call it the "Blackhawk Mobile" for now - is a sturdy and reliable bag that has undoubtedly been through some rough terrain. Its character shows in every stitch and wear mark etched into its design. The mobility feature, with its built-in wheels, adds an element of practicality that I truly appreciated.
What stood out for me was the spacious interior that could accommodate a surprising amount of gear. Its dimensions - 43" x 15" x 13" - might seem daunting at first, but once you start to fill it, you realize just how much can fit inside. Another detail I liked was its two layers of 1000 denier nylon, which gave the entire package a tough texture, showing it's built to last.
However, to balance things out, there were a couple of drawbacks that I found. Firstly, there's no wheel attachment to the handle for better control while maneuvering. Secondly, the absence of backpack straps might have made it a bit awkward to carry.
But all things considered, the "Blackhawk Mobile" proves to be a robust and versatile bag that has proven its worth in the field. For those who need a durable and battle-tested bag for their equipment, this is definitely a contender to consider.

🔗Eagle Industries Enhanced 3-Day Assault Pack - Durable Tactical Backpack for All-Weather Operations

When it comes to reliable and durable gear, I always trust the brands that have the unwavering spirit of the US Navy SEALs behind them. With the Eagle Industries Enhanced 3-Day Assault Pack in black, I was not disappointed. This bag was the perfect companion for my long patrols, where organization was a must.
The first thing I noticed was the shoulder straps and back, which were designed with comfort in mind. They provided great support, allowing me to move with ease throughout my mission. But the inside of this bag made me truly happy - it was lined with padding, so even when I tucked in my computer, I was confident it would be safe.
One of the most exciting features of the Eagle Assault Pack was the laser-cut squadron laminate panel MOLLE, allowing me to hang and keep all my gear organized and accessible. And inside this bag, there were pockets galore - it seemed like there was a place for everything. I particularly loved the spacious main compartment that could easily hold all my essentials.
And when it came to weather conditions, I felt a breeze of relief pass over me, knowing I was protected by the strong and water-repellent 500 Denier Nylon. It was clear that Eagle Industries had put their heart into making a bag that could handle anything - on land, at sea, or in the air.
In the end, I gave the Eagle Industries Enhanced 3-Day Assault Pack a thumbs up. It was the kind of bag you depend on, and it never let you down. While there were some minor downsides, overall, this bag deserved a spot in every backpacker's roster.

Blackhawk Assault Packs come in different sizes, ranging from smaller daypacks to larger, full-sized backpacks. When choosing a pack, consider the amount of gear you need to carry. Organization

A well-organized Blackhawk Assault Pack can make your outdoor adventure more enjoyable. Pay attention to the number and size of compartments, pockets, and sleeves. Many packs feature multiple pockets, external storage, and sleeve compartments for water bottles or hydration systems. This not only helps you keep your gear organized but also makes it easier to access when needed.

Versatility

Blackhawk Assault Packs are designed to accommodate various activities, from day hiking to overnight camping trips. 2024.04.13 09:15 UglarinnsWife [A4A] You’re a cook on a merchant ship, trying to prepare dinner for the crew, when the artificer walks into your galley and strikes up a conversation that eventually has you catching feelings [DND inspired fantasy] [fixing/repair] [strangers to lovers] [flirty] [casual conversation] [NOT spicy] [NO

Context: You’re a dwarven galley cook who has been away from home for about five years, wanting to seek adventure instead of being stuck running the small family-owned tavern in the same small town you were born in. At first, it was exciting to strike out on your own, but you’ve since fallen into a routine that has left you a little jaded and horribly bored. For this route, you’re aware the captain has allowed a team of adventurer’s to seek passage on the vessel, though you think little of it at first.
Summary: The spunky artificer of the adventuring party walks into your galley and strikes up a conversation with you while fixing your faulty stove. You decide to humor them as you continue to make that night’s dinner, but you find yourself strangely enchanted by them the longer you talk.
Spoken Word Count: around 2300-2400 words.
(Okay to monetize. Please credit with the username “uglarinnswife”. If you make an audio, please post or send me a link so I can have a listen as well. Any changes to suggested sound effects, inflections, or a few words for better flow is okay, so long as the story stays intact [you can even add in some curse words, if that’s your style. I don’t mind!] For any major changes, adding in specific names or extra details, I’d prefer it if you would ask me first. Original idea comes from a DND game that my husband has been running for a few years (if you’ve read my first script, this is inspired from the same game. Thank you!)
(Side note: If you want to know, the original genders of the characters in the game would make the speaker female and the listener female. It’s written as A4A to make it more accessible, so don’t feel obligated to stick to that. While everything written was not necessarily role-played out word for word, this scene and all the backstory is canon. I wrote this just for fun, so feel free to have fun with it as well.)

SFX: Kitchen sounds, such as boiling water, chopping sounds, etc.
SFX: door opening
(noticing suddenly) Hmm? Ah, no no no, sorry. The galley is off limits to everyone but the cook. I don't even let the captain in here. If you're starving, I can get you something, but you're gonna have to wait outside.

(Scoffs) Bored? I'm sorry, but that's just not my problem. I'm a cook, not an entertainer. Trust me, there are several clowns who do nothing but goof off on this boat. You may wanna go pester them. Meanwhile, I have a lot of work to do. If I don't get this stew on the stove, no one eats tonight. (returns attention to work) (frustrated) Ah, this stupid pile of junk!
SFX: loud clang
(In pain) Ah! Ow! Shoot… (angry) This thing is always breaking down when I need it. It was working fine this morning! What do I— (suddenly interrupted)
(perks up) What's that? (Pauses to listen) (amused) You can fix it, eh? Ha, I'd like to see you try. If the ship’s maintenance can't keep it running, what makes you so qualified?

(Intrigued) Artificer, huh? I've heard of them. They're, uh… arcane tinkerers, right? They make things and fix stuff using magic? (laughs) Ah, well I suppose it wouldn't hurt for you to have a quick look at it. Getting maintenance to come down here is gonna take forever anyway, so I may as well give you a shot at it.
SFX: footsteps against hardwood
SFX: squeaky metal door opening
SFX: tools on metal parts
(awkward) So… uh… you're a part of that adventuring party that the captain let aboard, huh? Where are you trying to get to in such a hurry? (Laughs) You’d have to be in a rush to agree to travel on this floating garbage pile.

(interested) Oh, that's a ways off, isn't it? You and yours are still gonna have a ways to go after we drop you off. What's putting you all so out of the way? I mean, I’ve heard it’s a nice city and all, but… like I said, you must have been in a big hurry to get passage on a cargo ship. There are nicer ways to travel.

(Shocked) Mother Tilly? She's one of them fae hags, isn't she? You all must be insane to be going snooping around in her neck of the swamp. And… (trepidatious) Well, I don’t mean to be rude, but you and your team don’t seem strong enough to take her out. Maybe you wanna rethink whatever half-baked plan you all seem to be doing?

(huffs) Okay, fine. Be stupid and die. See if I care.

(annoyed, sarcastic) Oh yes, I’m SO worried. Afterall, brains able to come up with such a brilliant scheme as to ask for a favor with one of the most clever and most dangerous hags in the country, as well as eager enough to gain passage on a boat where you’ll all be sleeping in the cargo hold… yeah, those are the minds I worry about preserving. (scoffs) Just fix the stove so I can get back to work, please?

SFX: tools on metal

(awkward) So… I didn’t catch your name, by the way. (slight pause, then laughs) What do you want from me? I can’t cook until the stove is working. There’s nothing else for me to do. You’re the one who walked in her complaining that you were bored, weren’t you? Besides, someone’s gotta remember you when you get yourself killed.

(soft, smiling) Heh… that’s quite a pretty name, actually. It’s a pleasure to meet you, at any rate. It’s a pleasure to meet any new face, considering how long I’ve been at this job, sweating in a hot kitchen day in and day out.

(a little embarrassed) Oh, just, uh… I’ve been the galley cook for about three years… maybe three and a half. I’ve lost track a little, to be honest. The days kinda bleed together when you work below decks and can’t see the sun. And eventually the weeks bleed, and then the months… (saddened) Gods above, I’ve been at this job for too long…

(perks up) Oh! No, don’t misunderstand me. I love cooking. It’s a real passion of mine. I’ve spent all my life in a kitchen, since I was little. My family has owned our little tavern on the southern shoreline for four generations. Since our little one-horse town was founded, our family has been there, feeding locals, travelers, sailors, all sorts! My father taught me most everything I know about preparing food. I can’t imagine doing anything else.

(awkward) Well, it WAS nice… but when you’ve got a family tavern steeped in tradition… The thing about tradition is that it’s dependent on things never changing. For all the years I lived there… heck, for all the years my father or grandfather lived there, nothing ever changed. Broken chairs are mended, splintered tables are sanded and refinished, upholstery is patched, shattered plates are glued together over and over again, all in the name of never buying or making anything new. And the food… I love a really good clam chowder or salt-roasted fish, but when you cook it over and over and over again, it becomes a little too second nature. It gets to the point where you feel like you just stand there, merely breathing for ten hours… The act of cooking barely registers anymore… the monotony was maddening.

(laughs, sarcastic) Ah yeah, poor me. Hey, I fully understand that if my biggest problem in life is boredom, I have it pretty easy. (slightly more serious) Still, when my father said he wanted to leave the tavern to me, I knew I had to leave home eventually. To be honest, the one thing I ever wanted to do other than cook was travel. To see the world, to learn new techniques and skills, to taste new kinds of cuisine… (slight laugh) To make something other than the millionth bowl of chowder for the same ten regulars, in the same kitchen that never changes. To actually OWN the tavern… well, it would mean I’d never be able to leave it. And I’d never be able to change it either. It’s tradition, after all, right? The point is that it never changes. If I changed anything about it, my great grandfather would go rolling right out of his grave.

(sighs) You don’t need to say it. I can see the irony of now being three years into a job that also never changes. To be fair, I didn’t start out as a galley cook. I left home with a rucksack full of food and supplies, a coin purse full of gold, and a dream to see the world. And for a while, that’s what I did. I hiked the countryside, taught myself how to cook on a campfire… (laughs) Oh, the amount of food I managed to burn to a complete crisp is absolutely embarrassing! And then I started going into other taverns across my home country, learning all the different national dishes that our little menu just didn’t have room for. And then I crossed the border into another country, and another, and another. I made my way, paying for room and board with my skills in the kitchen, and buying whatever my skills couldn’t cover. (sighs) But after two years, that was no longer sustainable. So when my funds dried up, I looked for steadier employment, and got a job running the galley on this ship. But… (very sad) by the Gods above…

(still very sad) It’s nothing, I just… I haven’t thought about it in a while, but… I’ve been here too long. WAY too long. All I wanted to do was just save up a little money to keep traveling. “Three months tops!” I said. “Then I’ll be back on the road!” Then an extra week passed… and then two… I told myself to just make it an even four months… then it turned to six… and then a year passed. Before I knew it, I was stuck in a rut. I got comfortable. (laughs) Ironic, since this rust bucket is one of the most uncomfortable places I’ve ever worked. But the steady income, the free room and board, it was just nice to not worry about where I was gonna sleep or where I was gonna go… (heavy sigh) I left home so I could experience the world. How did I let myself get stuck here?

(sad laugh) Ah, you don’t have to bother trying to cheer me up. In fact, I should thank you. I’ve never had the chance to really talk that out with someone. I should probably tell the captain that this will be my last route. I’ve saved up enough money to keep myself on the road for a good long while… (thoughtful) Hmm… the trouble is, I’m not sure where to go from here. I’ve been working this one job for so long that I— (perks up) What’s that?

(surprised) Come with you? Shouldn’t you ask your friends first? I’d hate to impose, especially since… Well, you’re adventurers, right? I don’t really know how to fight, and I don’t have any weapons or armor or magic or anything like that… (slightly frantic/scared) Not to mention, I don’t want ANYTHING to do with Mother Tilly! I still think you’re all crazy!

(laughs) Yeah, I’ll just stay at the local inn and wait for you to come back… IF you come back. But you’re sure your other friends won’t mind me tagging along?

(confused) Me? Why would I mind? I mean, you’re already doing me a huge favor, letting me come along with all of you, just so I can get out of a situation I put myself in to begin with.

(flustered) Oh, well, yeah. It makes sense that you would only share two rooms between you all. There’s five of you, and inn rooms can be expensive. But no, I don’t mind sharing a room with you. Heck, I may be able to get us free rooms if I offer to cook in the kitchen. A lot of places allow you to work off the cost of a room if you ask nicely. How do you split the room up between you all?

(thoughtful) Okay, so… you technically room with the bard, but the bard doesn’t sleep? Why? (pause, then defensive) Alright! Alright, that’s her story to tell, she can tell it. Fair enough.(thoughtful) And your cleric is a robot, and they share a room with that aasimar fella and that other elf, meaning… (suddenly realizing, awkward) Heh… y-you and I will be sharing a room alone, eh? How about that?

(frantic to self-correct, flustered) No! Nonono, I don’t mind! Not all! I was just… I mean, you don’t mind, do you? Ah, of course you don’t. I mean, you offered, so you… unless you do mind? If you just realized that that’s an issue, then you don’t have to… not that I’d complain, because you're very pretty, and… not that I’d be looking! I mean… that is to say… erm… (desperate to change the subject) Uh, how’s that stove coming along? Any progress?

(relieved to be talking about something else) Oh, good! The gas line was— (suddenly realizing, angry) The gas line was loose?! Those maintenance idiots are trying to kill me! I should march over there and throttle them right now!
SFX: rustling, scuffling
(indignant) Hey, let go of me! I’ll make those morons pay for this, trying to poison me or blow me up! Those ignorant, stupid little worms could have killed everyone on this pile of junk, if the spark from the stove managed to set off any leaked gas! Don’t you try to stop me! No one tries to kill me and gets away with it. I’ll keelhaul them myself! I’ll—

(annoyed, grumbling) I hate that you’re right… I’m two days from getting off this tub anyhow… (lightening up) Well, since the broken stove put me behind, you mind sticking around and helping out a bit longer? I have a whole crate of carrots to dice while we wait for the kitchen to air out a little from that possible gas leak.

(light hearted) Don’t worry, I’ll teach you how. It’s easy once you learn. I can show you if… (laughs) You’re a bit tall… then again, most folk are compared to me. The joys of being dwarven, huh? Hold on. I’ve got a step stool somewhere around here.
SFX: wood scraping on wood
(teaching mode) There, let me get behind you, and I’ll guide you along. First, hold the knife like this… ease your grip a little… and make a cat’s paw with your other hand… and then cut into three pieces…
SFX: two chopping sounds
(pleased) Good! Now take that big piece and stand it up… and you're gonna cut off a piece of the side to make a flat edge, and then you’ll lay it down and cut it into planks.
SFX: more chopping sounds
(happy, calm) Just like that. You’re really good at this. You’re sure you’ve never cooked before? You’re practically a professional.

(laughs) Ah! Nobel family, huh? I see. Why the heck are you all the way out here, and not… I dunno, on a beach drinking champagne and throwing gold coins into the ocean for fun, or whatever it is rich folk do?

(smiles) I see. Wanted to see the world while sneaking away from a family desperate to keep you at home. Well, aren’t we two peas in a pod? I’d no idea we’d have so much in common.

(insisting) No, I mean it. Think about it: we were both unsatisfied with the mundane way our lives were going, so we both packed our bags and ran away from home to escape familial obligations. We both want to see the world and broaden our horizons. And we both just so happened to end up on the rust bucket express and suffer at the hands of a leaky gas line . That’s one heck of a coincidence, if you ask me!

(flattered) Heh… yeah, I guess it’s not really “suffering” if it brought us together like this, huh? (slight pause) Uh… Hey, you know, the city we’re going to? I’ve never been, but I’ve heard from a couple of travelers who have that there’s this place that sells waffles, and they serve them with this Goodberry preserve that’s actually quite incredible… perhaps when we get into the city, you and I could perhaps… go and give it a try? Just the two of us?

(very happy) That’s great! Yeah, it’ll be my treat! Think of it as a thank you. You know… for coming down here, listening to my stupid family problems and all that… I had no idea how much I needed to have someone just… listen. I really appreciate it. (pause, then perks up) Huh?

(flustered) Oh, right! Right, the carrots. Yeah, just… like that. Just keep cutting them, just like that. Good job.
SFX: more chopping sounds

2024.04.09 06:52 LemonSneeze7239 How many models can one army have? (I have the answer)

I recently watched Mordian Glory's newest video asking how many models can one Astra Militarum list have? So I thought I'd quickly see how many Death Guard can have. So here I have three lists for you. (Lists condensed for your viewing pleasure. The first list has the PM squads loadouts and the cultist loadouts, the rest will not and will either have shooty or melee for the PM squads) And for context, my pretty standard and relatively meta 2k list has around 55 models, give or take 10 depending on what I feel like running.
The first is a decent list, leaders and rhinos for the PM squads and Typus leading a poxwalker unit. Honestly might not be a bad list to try some day.
The second is what you're here for, it answers how many models can we get (if we use allies).
The third is how many models we can get if we don't use allies, just pure death guard.
Let me know if I missed anything!

🔗Bushnell Pro X3 Laser Rangefinder with Wearable4U Bundle

I was recently introduced to the Bushnell Pro X3 Laser Golf Rangefinder with Wearable4U Bundle, and it's safe to say, it has made a significant difference in my game. From the moment I took it out of the box, the quality and precision of this device were evident. It's no wonder 99% of PGA Tour Pros choose it as their go-to rangefinder.
The first thing that stood out to me was the dual display feature. It was incredibly easy to switch between black and red displays depending on the lighting conditions, making it incredibly versatile for any time of day. The patented PinSeeker with Visual JOLT technology gives me instant feedback when it locks onto the flag, which has boosted my confidence on the course.
I also really appreciated the integrated BITE Magnetic Cart Mount. No more fumbling around trying to clip it onto my bag or attempting to balance it somewhere on the cart. The mount securely holds the rangefinder in place, allowing me to focus on my game.
However, there's one downside to this otherwise fantastic product. The weight. While the metal housing feels sturdy and high-quality, it does make the rangefinder a bit heavier than others I've used. This wasn't a deal-breaker for me, but it may be worth considering if you prefer lighter devices.
All in all, I've been incredibly impressed with the Bushnell Pro X3 Laser Golf Rangefinder with Wearable4U Bundle. Its advanced features have helped me shave strokes off my game, and its sleek design and mounting options make it a pleasure to use. If you're looking to upgrade your rangefinder, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

🔗Bushnell Fusion X Binocular-Rangefinder

https://preview.redd.it/l39yzrv4gmsc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b4a9603507a3a5d591c6d4f4a528504aa1e6c04e
I recently got my hands on the Bushnell Fusion X Binoculars, and I've been using them on my outdoor adventures. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the ActivSync display - it's like having night vision integrated into my binoculars! The range finding capability is lightning fast, making my hunting trips more efficient.
However, there are some downsides to this otherwise amazing tool. The battery compartment can be a bit finicky, and I've found myself struggling to keep the batteries intact in some instances. Also, the optics could use a bit more fine-tuning for better clarity.
Despite these minor issues, I'm overall very pleased with the Bushnell Fusion X Binoculars. They're a game-changer for hunters and wildlife enthusiasts alike, offering a convenient 2-in-1 solution that doesn't compromise on performance.

🔗Bushnell Equinox Z2 4.5x40 Night Vision Monocular

https://preview.redd.it/566lg495gmsc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4aaec3078b18af9ee4443355b3af236f1249b52c
I recently got my hands on the Bushnell Equinox Z2 Night Vision Monocular (4.5x 40 mm), and I must say, it has been quite the game-changer. This monocular has an infrared-sensitive CMOS sensor and micro LCD screen, which allows me to experience night vision like never before.
What really stands out for me is how the built-in IR illuminator provides an effective night vision range of up to 300 yards. It's astonishing how clear and bright the images appear, even during total darkness. Plus, the ability to record videos at 1080p HD resolution with the built-in app is incredibly convenient and shareable.
One minor downside is that the side rail could be slightly more comfortable for attaching accessories, but this doesn't detract significantly from the overall quality of the product. The Bushnell Equinox Z2 Night Vision Monocular has certainly left me with a pleasant night vision experience and I would highly recommend it to those who have an appreciation for such technology.

Ummul Momineen Hazrat Juwairiyah bin Al-Haris (raa) relates that once the Holy Prophet (saw) went out of her chamber at the morning Salat (Prayer) time when she was offering prayer and when he (saw) returned, he (saw) found her still on her prayer carpet.
On this, he (saw) said: "Are you continuously sitting in the same position in which I left you?" I said: "Yes." He (saw) said: "After I left you, I have recited four sentences three times: If they could be measured against that which you have said this morning (i.e. your continuous prayer from morning), they would prove weightier. TARDIS no more 😔
Got my baby (Tardis) back in 2020. It's the '20 X3 M40i and it was the first car I truly fell in love with. That joyful driving experience (in Sports mode esp.) felt for the first time was unmatched. Though we upgraded to an X5 now (xdrive 40i), I'll always miss that cold start and the sheer pleasure of driving it. Good bye TARDIS, you will be missed 😞

2024.03.17 01:41 Nicetrybutnothanks Community Update: March 24 (Discord, Changes, Growth)

Hello pets and pet enjoyers!!
We are back with yet another community update in the month of March in year of dragon (Chinese lunisolar calendar), with some exciting things to discuss!!
Discord
In our previous community update, I mentioned that when we cross the 1,000 member threshold, a discord server would be opened up for all users. It is my pleasure to announce, it has been created! It was first shared when Doge the Discord Derg u/dogethederg barked about it in their currently stickied post as a sort of “soft open”. The discord is not exclusive to puppy bois, and can be enjoyed by all pet types, genders, and yes — even completely normal people x3
To clarify any confusion regarding the accessibility; the server is split into two main hemispheres: the SFW side, accessible by all, and the NSFW side, which required verification. By joining the discord, you will not be immediately subjected to NSFW content!
With that said, I hope you will all enjoy it! Please feel free to share it with any friends, pets, owners, or acquaintances that you feel would enjoy sharing this space with you!
Growth
This subreddit has been expanding phenomenally thanks to all of your participation and support :3 it’s incredible that on a subreddit so small, simple comments can garner 50+ upvotes solely because of how excited and active the community is. In addition; we average close to 80 shares per post — which means you are all contributing to the exposure of our funny and lighthearted content, simultaneously bringing more pets and pet enjoyers into the fold.
In order to continuously monitor the enjoyment of the community, I have tried implementing polls regarding common occurrences in the subreddit. It is my hope that with these polls, I can tailor a healthy ruleset, and better handle the posts that cross our feeds.
Likewise, because the growth has been so hot, I’d like to start softly looking for new moderators of both the subreddit and the discord. We have not yet had any issues in either of these spaces, but id like to be prepared both for additional support with the administrative burden and potential for future infractions.
Thank you all for your time reading this, and as always please feel free to send any suggestions, concerns, recommendations, or congratulations regarding either of our spaces :3
