Im not sure about this, but I looked through splattercatgaming's recommended games but couldn't find it. IIRC he played this game where each character is a miniature(?) on a tile-based movement system. The layout of the dungeon looked like the classic dungeons & dragons dioramas but the art style made them look more cartoonish. I dont remember much about the combat, but I think it was card-based but also used dice to deterine the success(?).
That's all I can remember, the game looked really fun so I'll appreciate any help.

Hi all, I hope this is okay to ask. I've had a rough homelife ever since I was 5 and onwards, and for the past year+ or so I've been struggling with extremely pessimistic and hopeless thoughts about my future. I'm mentally/physically ill with an awful home-life and a lot of trauma I've been unpacking for the last 6 years. I won't be able to get a diploma and graduate highschool, either, and my parents and teachers aren't happy to hear that. My therapist and my choir teacher says I'll be okay and I'll be able to make my own path, but I'm also really nervous somedays about if I'll ever be able to make enough money to live in an apartment. I'm horrified to learn how to drive, and I have no idea what job would ever hire me / what job I would be able to handle that'd pay enough, or where I'd even begin. I would start with art commissions once I get a debit card, but that won't realistically pay me enough to survive.

What I'm Reviewing: While browsing, I noticed Golden Chrome, a repository of euro-themed cyberware and gear for Cyberpunk RED. The book opens with a quick (non-canon) one page review of the eurozone. It doesn't go deep, but does get across the basic feeling of Europe being a gated community. After that, there's an eight-page "Referee's Tools" section that is basically a set of neat homebrew rules for (among other things) shotgun spreads, bullet dodging, and deconstructing the rules around specific items like railguns so you can make more them. Y'know, the questions that get asked once a week on this very subreddit. This basically lets you check this guy's work for later on in the book. After that, there's another 14 pages of new euro-themed gear (everything except cyberware, which is covered later). This goes into Smart Gear (like Smart Boots, Smart Gloves, Smart Earbuds, etc.), new shields, vehicle upgrades (many of which are freaking awesome), pharmaceuticals, street drugs, and poisons. Finally, the last twelve pages are devoted to new cyberware, including Excellent Quality cyberware, exotic cyberlimbs, and bioware. Why I'm Reviewing It: It rather impressed me, and I figured y'all might like a look at it, so I'm here to share. While not as interesting as a lore or source book, it has a lot of gear that reveals a new spin on how we can homebrew interesting items while remaining true to RED's core mechanics. There's nothing revelatory in this book; it won't make you a world-class homebrewer. But there were enough times I went, "Oh, that's a neat spin!" that I figured y'all might enjoy a look as well. Similar to my last review, I'm not going to be docking points for grammar or spelling. That amnesty is extended because a) this is someone's homebrew, offered for free, b) because you can never tell when someone's ESL and c) because I don't find proofreading to be an interesting exercise. The Good: The gear in here is awesome, and feels like something that should exist in a Cyberpunk world. While I am hardly the guy to judge game balance, the author makes good use of price categories as a balancing point, as well as upkeep costs / ammo costs. There are also some interesting pieces like this neuralware: Critical injuries on a failure - an interesting way to raise the stakes! The Bad: There's very little art in the book, and while layout isn't a nightmare, it's also hard to read at times off a screen. The other issue I have is the lack of bookmarks in the PDF - please make sure your sections are bookmarked! I would have preferred some way to tie some of these in to a larger narrative, or an ongoing story to make this matter to my players as well. Ultimately, this is a gear book, not a story book, and I think that's a bit of a weakness when we have other examples that have bridged that divide well. To be clear, none of these are killer items - more nitpicks than anything else. Recommendation: It's free choom; go get it and see if there's anything you want to give your bad guys the next time they roll out. Worst case scenario, it gives you a new spin and some new ideas! |

Hi everybody, My wife and I are going to be in St. Louis coming up here in a couple of week's in June for the weekend for a quick family gathering on a Saturday, but we will have Friday and Sunday to ourselves, and want to go to back to the zoo, and also visit either the science center or art or history museums.
We are wanting to stay in Forest Park so that we can hit a few things that are nearby, but can't decide which hotel to stay at. Last time we were there, we stayed Drury inn in Arnold, which was ok, but it's a little bit further away than we would like to be this time.
We were thinking about staying at the Hampton at Forest Park, which doesn't seem too bad,, and parking was only 10/night, but I'd like some feedback from locals. Is it a decent place to stay? Clean? I dont need 5 star accommodations I just don't want bed bugs or robbed. We dont care about whether there's a pool or anything like that, just needing a place to sleep, we won't be in the room much.
I've read that it's next door to Mac's which someone at work recommended..is that place any good? My wife's originally from St. Louis and loves Imo's and has to have one while we are there, and that's just down the road on the corner, but I really only like the toasted ravioli there (sorry lol..). So I need more options than that, but we will drive for food.. probably somewhere on the hill this time. the hotel is also just a couple minutes walking distance from the science center, so that one's at the top of the list right now..
I looked at the doubletree first, but a lot of the reviews said that parking is pretty bad there with Barnes being next door.
The Sonesta looked nice, but was a little bit much. We dont need all that, just somewhere decent to stay that's close to all of the stuff in Forest Park.

context: On Rx Adderall, I enjoy sufficient productivity, exercise, and healthy eating 4-5 days a week. I'm gratefully in a place of life as well to be spending the bulk of my days working towards my dream career. That is to say, I'm not dealing with the anxieties and pressures of foregoing my honest desires in life in exchange for grinding to survive (as I have for pretty much my whole life until now). That predicament (depression resultant from denial of passion) was a big contributor to my prior "fuck it all" day habits of binging on junk food/ dopamine- mining if you will.
So, in my flow state on the medicated days, I enthusiastically fill my time with highly stimulating intellectual podcasts concurrently while studying/ practicing art, running very long distances, and writing challenging material (lately it's focused on evolutionary theory, consciousness, and societal issues). This is only possible because I cycle off 1-2 weekend days no meds/ no expectations.
HOWEVER, herein lies my tragedy: the crash from cycling off is crippling, suffocating, and inescapable. context: On Rx Adderall, I enjoy sufficient productivity, exercise, and healthy eating 4-5 days a week. I'm gratefully in a place of life as well to be spending the bulk of my days working towards my dream career. That is to say, I'm not dealing with the anxieties and pressures of foregoing my honest desires in life in exchange for grinding to survive (as I have for pretty much my whole life until now). That predicament (depression resultant from denial of passion) was a big contributor to my prior "fuck it all" day habits of binging on junk food/ dopamine- mining if you will.
So, in my flow state on the medicated days, I enthusiastically fill my time with highly stimulating intellectual podcasts concurrently while studying/ practicing art, running very long distances, and writing challenging material (lately it's focused on evolutionary theory, consciousness, and societal issues). This is only possible because I cycle off 1-2 weekend days no meds/ no expectations.
HOWEVER, herein lies my tragedy: the crash from cycling off is crippling, suffocating, and inescapable.  | Ownership vs ControlSeparating these two concepts is important to figure out the issue apes have been having with respect to DRSing shares held in an IRA. This might be intuitive, but IMO explicitly defining this helps.

You can ignore the Sole Proprietorship, General Partnership, and S Corporation if you want, as they aren’t relevant to this DD (as far as I’m aware). As a side note - one of my professors told me that Sole Proprietorships should never be used in general, and I feel obligated to pass that recommendation on. Either way it will not be relevant. C Corporations are only relevant so far as the fact that GameStop is a C Corporation, so you can use that as a comparison if needed. What I’m really interested in here is the Limited Liability Company, or LLC. Forming an LLC requires filing some paperwork with the appropriate government agency, and you will probably need to file an Operating Agreement, which is basically Corporate Bylaws but for an LLC. These documents are legally binding when done properly and should hold up if challenged in court (as far as I’m aware; I’m not a lawyer). LLCs also exist perpetually as a separate legal entity. Less formal requirements than a corporation so should be easier to set up. Management is outlined in the Operating Agreement. LLCs use pass through taxation, which means that responsibility for paying taxes gets passed on to the owners of the LLC. Terms for transferring interest, if any, are also included in the Operating Agreement. Now is also probably a good time to mention Trusts as another business entity type. Trusts are similar to LLCs, except the main differences are there are no forms to file with a government agency and no liability protection for the owners. I took my exam yesterday (May 18) at home, and I found out today I passed 3AT! I did not believe I was going to pass. I absolutely thought I had failed and was planning on when to take the exam again. Like others, I thought I would share some of what I did and some recommendations especially if you are taking it at home. Of note, I used to work with college students and teach them how to improve their academic skills (not memorizing but mastering material, not freaking out at an exam, etc) so I wrote this with academic coaching in mind.

Things That Helped Me/My advice:
- Not believing all the "just take the test at a testing center" negativity. Taking a test at home (if you like your home) has some big benefits. This isn't to say everyone should do it, but if you want to do it, here is why it helped me:
- I get it, lots of folks have bad experiences testing at home. A lot of things can go wrong and they aren't in your control all the time. But, I work from home 99% of the time and know my internet is reliable, I dont have interruptions, etc.
- Theres a HUGE benefit in taking the exam in a place where you are very comfortable. If you have test anxiety, this is something to consider. I didn't have shoes on, I wore comfy clothes, I could control the temperature how I wanted, etc
- Studying and taking your practice exam in the same environment as the actual exam can be another benefit, as this can help jog your memory! There is some science behind this.
- You can use ALL of your break time. One of the things I saw in some posts where folks took the test at a testing center is the check in/out procedures ate up a chunk of their break time and sometimes the bathrooms seemed far. So they barely had a break. I actually chose to end my breaks early because I was able to relax and take the entire break as a break.
- I had zero interaction from anyone at Pearson. No one sent me a chat (I didn't reach out either), I didn't have any issues while taking the exam, etc. This isn't good or bad, but just putting it out there that I felt like I was just taking an exam at my house like it was any other day.
- Learning Stuff!
- Take practice exams...many, not the same one over and over though. Its ok to repeat them (I did) but dont take 1 practice exam 3 times and think you are ready.
- As you get closer to the exam, take practice exams simulating the actual exam environment as much as you can - stick to the time limits, take 2 ten minute breaks, dont check your phone, etc
- Review your correct and incorrect answers - know WHY the correct answer is the correct one. This is what can take the most practice because you have to think like the PMI wants you to think
- Know the terminology - the SH+ games are great for this, specifically the Crossword but it wont capture all the terminology you need to know.
- Use all the resources people mention here because one of the best things you can do is use different formats of learning to take in information - especially if it repeats itself!
- Some folks learn best by writing things out, some learn best by hearing it, etc. Most people learn best by ALL of these things together. You probably didn't realize in K-12 that your teachers were using many modalities to teach you stuff. Think like a K-12 teacher and create a lesson plan with many different activities on the same topics and review it over and over (each review in different modalities that work for you)
- Example - for one topic - Watch the videos folks suggest, and read through the notes from Third3Rock, make your own flashcards and talk it out
- Talking it out is an underrated/under utilized learning modality. The purpose of this is acting like you are teaching someone else. Some of you might be able to teach another person like your roommate, partner, or child. But if you dont have a human or a pet to teach PMI topics to, get a plant, a pillow, a ghost, etc. Talk the topic out as if you are explaining it or having a conversation about it with another person. If you can't explain it to someone else, you dont know it enough.
- I am someone who learns by writing things out. Not typing (although I do learn that way), literally writing. But if you are like this too, make sure to put it IN YOUR OWN WORDS. Dont just copy whats on the screen/paper on a index card.
- Create your own visuals. Not of everything. Just the stuff YOU know you need to see/read again. There are some great visuals out there already too!
- A few days before my exam, I re-wrote some of the main concepts I wanted to remember on larger pieces of paper (printer paper) with colorful markers. This included topics/questions I wasn't so confident on, important terminology, etc. I used a lot of paper...and then I taped them to the walls in my hallway. I didn't put them in my office because I knew I'd have to take them down before the exam and I didn't want that stress. So I put them in the hallway and would pause and read them, talk them out, dance while singing the topics, etc. Its like an information radiator for yourself and again, there's science behind how these things can help some people learn.
- You dont need an expensive "bootcamp" or pricey course to learn this material. With the amount of free or cheap options out there (all the things you see mentioned in this subreddit), you dont necessarily need to shell out a lot of money for anything else. My work paid for an expensive bootcamp. I did it and wasn't impressed. It was like drinking from a firehose and the worse way anyone can learn information - hearing someone talk at you for 8 hours a day for 4 days in a row. I dont recommend this at all. I did not use my notes nor resources from this bootcamp for anything. There could be better bootcamps out there - I've had a few friends have better experiences. But we all used other free/cheap resources to learn in more detail.
- If you really want a course, some of the courses folks have mentioned here (Udemy, etc) that are self-paced are likely far better to learn initial information just for the fact that you can go back and review the information in a lot of detail/re-watch videos, etc.
- Take practice exams...many, not the same one over and over though. Its ok to repeat them (I did) but dont take 1 practice exam 3 times and think you are ready.
- There are differences between the PMI Study Hall practice exams and the actual exam. You're probably think, OBVIOUSLY there are differences! Here are the ones I observed:
- The actual exam questions were not as wordy/long as the practice exam questions. They often had very little information in them and yet you had to make a decision as if you knew all of the context. But also dont assume anything!
- Many of the questions had answer choices where 2 were extremely similar to each other and seemed correct
- I only had 2 matching questions and no math/calculations
- I felt like I failed the very first section. These questions were HARD right out of the gate. I dont think this section had any easy or moderate questions in it. I literally thought I had failed the whole exam because of this and was planning on when to retake it. Note that while this was my first section, it may not be in that order for other people. All the people saying, "there were no expert questions on my exam" - yeah, not mine! And I did relatively well with expert questions on the practice exam. I am aware that there are experimental questions on the exam which dont count in your score. Maybe these were it, I am not sure. But damn, this section was hard.
- Actual Exam Week/Day Prep
- If you have been intensely studying for a bit, you need a break before your exam. This is even more true if you work full-time, have a family, etc. Your brain can literally only have so much energy and if you are exhausted going into the exam, you will not be functioning at your best.
- The week of your exam, only do light review. This means, maybe one practice exam but like the beginning of the week. Or no practice exam. Review the concepts you miss a lot, review terminology. That's it.
- Eat well for you. Dont push yourself with workouts unless thats your norm. Get good sleep in the days leading up to the exam. Drink a good amount of water not just the day of/day before the exam.
- Schedule your exam at a time where you know you tend to feel more energized, and more relaxed, if at all possible. For me, even if I am more awake in the morning, I knew having an exam first thing would give me a lot of anxiety the night before and I probably wouldn't sleep then I'd do bad on the exam. I scheduled my exam at 1:15pm on a Saturday. I slept in a little, had some coffee and a leisurely breakfast, reviewed some things, then I was ready.
- Talk nicely to yourself - with how much all of this can cost, and whatever other pressures you may have, there can be a lot of "I have to pass, like HAVE to pass!" pressure. Of course we all want to pass the first time and be done with it, but thats not to worry about right now. Talk nicely to yourself - make those encouraging sticky notes and put them around your house, or meditate, etc. but make sure to remind yourself how hard you have worked, and how capable you are. Your only focus is to do your best and thats all you can worry about right now.
- If you are someone who reads out loud as you are reading questions, you need to practice not doing this. Its probably best to practice this before the week of your exam, but if you dont have that time you need to practice the week of your exam for sure.
- Right before the exam/as the exam starts
- The program will give you an intro to how it works. Like where is the timer, where are the buttons, how to highlight, etc. Do it. Do all of the silly things you probably already know how to use. As you are doing it, take deep breaths and exhale slowly at least 3 times. If your heart rate is going up, just pause and do some circle breathing (breath in deeply, hold 4 or more counts, breathe out SLOWLY like for 8-10 counts, then breathe in again, do it again). You do not have to rush into this exam. You have plenty of time.
- Use the whiteboard tool to write stuff down that is just ruminating in your head. It should stay there through the exam. Get it out of your head because the more you try to hold it all in, the more stress that creates. Write triggers for yourself or draw your beautiful drawings you were practicing with. Again, this helps your memory noggin do its thing and can get out some of that anxiety you are feeling.
- During the exam
- Dont let hard questions get you down. This is challenging, even for me who generally does well with test taking. Know that not all questions actually count toward your score. If you have a hard question, do your best, mark for review, and move on. Dont let it cloud your confidence. I literally thought I failed the whole exam because of the first section it was so hard. But I ended up passing 3AT!
- Take the breaks. Dont try to be a hero. Breaks can be a good reset for your brain! Take them, and take the whole time if you need. Drink water. Have a snackie. Do some breathing and stretches.
- Watch the time. This is important so you aren't rushing at the end, and also why you dont want to waste a lot of time on a few hard questions. Regarding time, I purposefully went fast when I was practicing to make sure I could still answer correctly under duress (and also I didn't have a lot of time for 4 hour exams while practicing). Most of my practice exams I finished in 1.5 hours and I scored in the 70-80% with expert questions. In the actual exam, I took about 3.25 hours.
- If you have been intensely studying for a bit, you need a break before your exam. This is even more true if you work full-time, have a family, etc. Your brain can literally only have so much energy and if you are exhausted going into the exam, you will not be functioning at your best.

I was fired via text, and not even really fired, it said “you’re water and I’m oil, wish you luck” they didn’t need to provide an explanation. I know she was upset I had another job, and in the interview agreed to 2 days a week to accommodate both jobs, that’s the reason. That would explain SO much! I (28F) am starting the process of getting evaluated for ASD/ADHD. This is likely going to be neither fun nor easy because I'm no contact with my parents, have no school records, and only intermittent memory. I do remember being the only 7 year old my teacher had seen erase holes in their paper if they repeatedly messed up. It didn't even have to be a misspelling, I could just dislike the way I had written it. I also didn't think I checked the "structured play" box until I remembered being in middle school and exhaustively filling notebooks with lists of every song I liked. I would incessantly rewrite the lists any time I missed a song in one artist group. Probably half of my time in HS was spent either doing this or obsessively reading. There's more that I could go into, like meltdowns, sensory processing issues, texture aversions, going nonverbal after extended/taxing socializing. The therapist I've worked with for nearly a year is AuDHD and she strongly suspects I have both, as does my ADHD best friend. My therapist recommended the book Unmasking Autism to me and I was feeling seriously called out 2 pages in. I guess the point of this post is just me coming to terms with the fact that I more than likely fit in here. (I don't view that as a bad thing, just a new thing to consider. I'm also not a fan of change lol.)

I never thought I’d see myself writing on this forum or at least I hope I wouldn’t have to. My name is Miriam Jackson and I’m looking for a friend. Her name is Jocelyn Willard and I haven’t received anything from her for over a month.
Jocelyn went to Jonesborough, Tennessee for an investigative story on Reverend Somber.
I have only 6 files she sent me while on this trip, as I sometimes help her with editing and filing notes. Hopefully, they can help give the person who’s reading this the information necessary to help find her.
Jocelyn is a freelance journalist, who delved into journalism as she sees it as “the beacon of truth” Her newest fixation was televangelism. I know… I know in this day and age who's watching cable but that to Jocelyn is what made it more interesting.
Especially when she stumbled across Reverend Somber, unlike his name Reverend Sombers is charismatic ( as most in televangelism are) and speaks with such a feverish devotion you’d think you’re hearing the voice of God speak through him. He can often be found preaching on CTN at around 2 A.M. In his words `` Jesus had not come to talk to the righteous but to those who know they are sinners, and at this time sweetheart only sinners are watching.”
What caused Jocylen to want to investigate Somber’s I don’t know.
As I get out of my car I take in the sun something I don’t get enough of in Seattle. The gas station still has the reminiscence of different decades passed; with its paint chipped around the brick exposing its rustic hues and the sign tilted “Whitmens Gas Station Est.1910”.
I open the door causing a bell to ring,
“Hello, what can I help you with today darlin’,” said the lady behind the counter. She seemed about 60 years old her hair not yet fully gray and her face showing the emotions she’s worn over the years.
“ Hi, I just want to fill up my tank, I’m parked at pump 1,” I said.
“Well alright, what got you coming to these parts?”
“Oh, I’m writing on Reverend Sombers I’m supposed to go follow him as he goes live tonight for CTN”
“Ain’t that a treat, I swear when I hear him preach on Sundays it’s like the Lord is speaking through him,” she said in such a way you’d think she’d seen Heaven in that man's eyes.
“Well isn’t that something…How long has he been preaching for?” I ask as I pick at the hangnail on my finger. The admiration she had for the Reverend made me uneasy but I’d figured she’d know some background on him. Oddly she didn’t.
“Oh, He came around 3 years ago, it seemed like he just popped up at the church now that I think about it, The town was nothing like the peace it is now, Sombers brought this town into prosperity I tell ya.”Her brows furrowed as though she just realized something.
“I almost forgot to tell Earl to put the gas in ya car, go wait out there I’ll go tell him.”
Taking this as my queue that the interview is over I walk over to my car and wait inside for the man to arrive. A tap on my passenger-side window snaps me out of my daydreaming.
“I filled your gas up, Ruth told me you’ve been askin bout Reverend Sombers said you’d be writin on him.” Earl said.
“Yeah, do you have anything you’d like to share?” I shift in my seat as I take in Earl. He seems a bit younger than Ruth, his hands caked with oil stains and his shirt spotting the same look. A small towel lays on his shoulder. He leans into my passenger-side window before he answers
“I ain’t too fond of him don’t tell Ruth now she’d be madder than a wet hen I tell ya.” he coughs and laughs
“What are you not fond of?” Interested in figuring out what Earl knows that Ruth doesn’t
“I don’t speak too much on him don’t want him comin round here, you best be goin now ya tank is full. Have a good stay now ma’am” He smiled his teeth showing a testament to years of tobacco use.
I smile meekly back and wave bye as I head into town. Left with more questions I know I’ve not made a dumb decision by investigating Somber.
The town is picturesque many of it still having the structures from the 1800s it’s the oldest town in Tennessee after all. As I drive through town I take in the families walking and neighbors saying hi to each other. Almost too cookie-cutter.
I parked my car in front of Jonesborough Bed and Breakfast a quaint Victorian-era cottage. The overgrown bushes cover the majority of the white picket fence. A homey cottage and a hot meal sounds great right about now. I enter and am warmly greeted by the B&B owner.
“Hi, I’m Mary-Ann you must be Jocylen only person we have booked to stay for so long.”
“Yes, that would be me. I’m wondering if you could recommend a place for lunch. I'm quite hungry.” I put a hand to my stomach. I should've grabbed a snack at the gas station I thought.
“There’s the local diner just up the street, Your room is the first door on the right upstairs. It’s the Reverend's favorite. He thought you’d like it… that reminds me Reverend Somber will be having dinner with you today and said he’d want to speak with ya before you go follow him around. He left a lil welcome basket for ya upstairs,” she said
I thanked her then made my way to my room wondering what he’d left for me.
The room has a king-sized canopy bed in the middle with a white- Linen curtain draped on top. Stands out from the rest of the room, The canopy is supported by twisted columns and the back wall of the bed is structured architecturally containing a niche with a shell decoration and four more smaller twisted columns surrounded by leaf decorations. The deep walnut wood of the bed is a contrast to the faded yellow stained floral wallpaper and average closet in the corner of the room. The bed was foreign to this room, I just knew it.
I look at the welcome basket on the bed filled with fruit, wine, a letter, and oddly finger cots. The letter stated the following
Dear, Miss Willard
Thank you for your interest in my humble serving of the lord. I’d like to take ya to dinner at The Black Olive to better acquaint ourselves before you shadow me today. I hope the finger cots give you rest from your constant finger picking what a painful nervous tick to have for the past 20 years. Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.

I recently began working in a school where all my students have Autism or ID. Most of my students have a short attention span, are non-verbal, show aggressive behaviors, and do not look at me or follow directions... even with the teacher or aide's assistance. Most of their goals are to express basic wants and needs or use their AAC to comment, label, and answer questions.
It is overwhelming and I feel lost. I don't know what else to do. Any recommendations? What has worked for you? How can I structure the sessions? what activities could I do?

It is overwhelming and I feel lost. I don't know what else to do. Any recommendations? What has worked for you? How can I structure the sessions? what activities could I do?
