I know similar questions have been asked before, but I can't find my specific issue anywhere (with an answesolution), so I thought I'd ask again, if anyone has a good solution or workaround for this.
Here's my issue:
I created two local instances in the beginning to play with two custom characters. I created my "main" character with the first instance, and the other character with the second. In the beginning, this worked and the cutscenes went to my "main" character. For a while now, however, this seems to have switched, and I neither know why (or when exactly) this switch occurred, nor how to switch it back. I'm playing in honor mode, so I don't have any earlier save files to check, unfortunately. :/
It's really annoying, because now my "secondary" character is getting some of the important approval changes with companions instead of my "main". I've tried dismissing the second character to the wardrobe and taking him back, but that didn't change anything, unfortunately :/
So yeah, my question is:
1) Does anyone have any idea why the game suddenly decided to change what custom character gets the cutscenes? And maybe even how to change it back? (Or even has an idea what I could try?)
2) Is there any way to force the game to pick a specific custom character? I guess I could leave him in the wardrobe for long rests, but I haven't finished the game before (currently in the middle of act 2), so I don't know when a fight might start and I'll need him. Also doesn't help with story cutscenes outside of camp. Does anyone have a solution or workaround for this?
3) What determines what character is picked (especially when you coop with yourself in local instances), so I can avoid this in future runs? Any experience you've had with this would be much appreciated!

I (F24) have been friends with this person (F24) since we where 16, and we're both 24 now. I get that life changes a lot. I would say I'm a relatively open and try to be patient because I don't just wanna throw my friends away, and I get that change is inetiable in life. Over the past year, she has definitely had a lot of changes, like marriage and children and now the second child. Sometimes I just feel like there is not really any interest in how I'm doing, but moreso I'm just the guest to all her events. Give an example, we have not seen eachther for 6 months and out of the blue she sends me an invitation to her childs birthday, a long list of present ideas. No one question of how I am doing. Naturally her life and stuff takes up a lot of space and energy, I get that. I just start to feel like I need more. I love deep conversation and to feel understood. But it feels superficial, and I almost feel used in a way like I have to give her all these presents, and that's pretty much what our friendship is based on. When we are together I notice that the conversation rarely is focused on me. It was fine when we where younger. I could take to some extend, because I get that we all need validation from friends. But lately I feel like it's not any balance in the friendship. I don't feel like she values any of the effort I put into our friendship. Forexample when she had her first child, I baked cupcakes, bought presents, and all that stuff for the baby-shower and she can't even remember what I gave her. Me and my boyfriend put SO much time and effort into finding something her child would like. I don't feel like she really expreses a lot of gratitude for any thing I do honestly. And now I am really unsure how to go about it. It makes me so sad. We are just different places in life. I just miss when our friendship felt more equal, but now I dont feel like there's any effort on her side. I don't need a lot just a bit more if that makes sense. Can I even do anything to make the situation better?

I’m in a really tough spot mentally right now. I just graduated college and it’s a huge change. For background, my mental illness has significantly impacted my life for many years. I’ve been severely depressed for nearly a decade, and was diagnosed with bipolar 2 about 4 years ago. I’ve been on countless medications, but am currently taking a number of mood stabilizers that are doing good enough I guess. All of the upkeep is exhausting too, I’m sure you all understand that.
Every day is challenging, especially managing my energy levels with depression. It’s so hard and I feel like I’m breaking. My entire last semester of college I have felt anxiety brewing in my body, and now it’s catching up to my brain. I keep saying to the people close to me that I know how to be depressed in school but not in a career. Just trying to survive and do well in my classes left no room to plan for a job after I graduated. Now I have nothing. All of my friends have some kind of internship or employment following graduation but I don’t. It feels like I’m the only one. And I can’t drive. I’m not in a walkable city. I’m so tired.
I’m grateful for my parents partially supporting me financially. It would not be good for me mentally to move back home. So, I’m expected to start paying most of my rent starting next month (reasonable request). All of the job opportunities here are so bleak and also inaccessible. I feel like a failure. I’m scouring LinkedIn for remote jobs and I’m submitting applications at places around me that I can walk to or take the bus to. I texted my mom a little while ago for support telling her how stressed I am about all of this life change. She was cold, telling me that finding a job is my top priority right now. I know that!!!! I just wanted her to tell me that it’s all going to be okay and that she knows I’m trying my best. She will never be able to give me what I need in that respect, which tears me up inside already. I am feeling so much pain.
I don’t feel optimistic about getting a job or just life in general. I’m having (passive) SI. I’m so tired. I don’t want to do this anymore. I just needed somewhere to express this all, to people that understand. It’s so so hard. I wish I was a kid again.

Hello. So basically, a few weeks ago, I wanted to go to bed. I lay down and after a few seconds, I heard a noise in my ears. It was loud and gave me a panic attack where I was sweating a lot and was stressed. I went to the bathroom and the noise was still there which made me even panic more. long story short after that my sister gave me a pill that made me sleep but then after I woke up the noise was still there. I booked an appointment with an audiologist and she told me I have slight hearing loss (around 10db)in my right ear at high frequencies. I showed the result to an ENT and he straight away told me that I probably had a stroke in my ear and I need to take Steroids which is 50/50 if it's gonna work or not. Till this point I had no idea about the word "tinnitus" and the term"ear stroke" till I googled it and I remembered 5 years ago when I lost a family member I had a moment where I lost my hearing for 10-20 seconds and I only heard noises for that time but after that, I had no issues therefor I didn't do any medical checkup. Now when I think about it even more,I probably had tinnitus for years but it was so low in terms of loudness that I never really noticed it unless I was in a quiet room with a noise-cancelling headset on my head. It was so low that I wouldn't even be able to rate it out of 10. I have been to 4 different ENTs, they check your audiogram and that's it but I'm trying to figure out if something else has caused this.

I’m debating if I should wait one more year to move to Florida. I’m clearly not happy here and I would be a lot happier in Florida. I could take off right now and fix my SSI in Florida if I really wanted to. I need to save up at least $1,200 which would take me 15 months from now starting on June 1st. I need to check if this apartment has a deposit as it said N/A. So hopefully it doesn’t but I bet it will. So just in case I need to save up to $1,200. For the rent, deposit and one way flight. If they try to stop me from moving, Then I will leave. I have a rep payee. I really just want to be in Florida right now. I would feel so much happier. I only get $80 a month but I’m going to ask for more since I did get $125 last month. I’m hoping to get that amount again every month so it’ll only take 10 months to reach $1,250. Either way I’ll have $1,200 once I move. I plan to save up everything and not spend money.
I just googled so I would be moving next September 1st!! Probably a few days after so I can get my check. If I get more money, I’d be leaving in 10 months from June 1st which is April 1st, 2025.

What we do to achieve this:
- We create a no mandatory discord rule, this is because we know some people have kids or family to attend to. Others dislike social settings such as Discord and want to just text chat. Even in raids this is how it is, we will have a Discord for people who want it, but for those who don't no problem! All raid tactics will be spoken in text chat and we will learn through practice :-)
- Come and Go rule, this is so people aren't forced to do something they aren't having fun doing. With this day and age we can always pug and help other people outside of the guild learn, it isn't a problem! This is a game, not a job so we decided to not make it feel like one! Also, the rule applies for coming or not to raids and also the timing in which you leave the raid. We don't mind if it is 5 mins into raid, 1 hour into raid or whatever, you do you!
- We are a positive learner environment, we do not do elitism or toxicity. I don't care if you're dps isn't pumping (I don't even use dps meters) we play to have fun and if we get the kills we get the kills, if not we learned and had fun along the way :-)
- Social Events, we have social events that I personally haven't seen others doing. Scavenger Hunts, Postcard Race, Mortality Darts, Lv1 Racing, Hide N Seek, Lazer Tag. All of these events are super fun and we'll be having 1-2 of them a week. I won't tell you more then the title of these social events but you can come experience them for yourself as to not spoil the surprise. Yes, all of these events are in-game.

I probably finished my first year of college a couple of weeks ago, but I am considering taking a gap year because I feel lost. I am not sure what I am doing with my life right now.
A little background: I never thought I was going to go to college because I was an ignorant teenager who thought you didn't need college to be a successful person, which you can, but depending on your scenario. I never took high school seriously because like I said I was a small-minded teenager. In my senior year, I realized I wanted to go to college and study computer science because it looked pretty interesting to me and because everyone kept saying it paid well. I decided to be influenced by those comments and join my community college majoring in CS. In reality, I don't know nothing about computer science, nor do I have a background in tech related. I don't know how to code or anything. Thus, I am deciding to take a gap year and put my focus on learning how to code. I do find software engineering interesting and something I want to study in college.
Some may say that I can learn how to code while attending college, but I am in a specific program in my school that requires me to take close to 19 credit hours per semester, which means basically I class all day and then after class, I still have to do a bunch of homework. In the end, I don't have time to learn how to code. I even barely have time to eat sometimes because I am so busy with my classes and homework.
Am I making the right choice and if some have gone through what I am doing, how did things turn out for you guys?

I'm 20M, most of my life I dealt with anxiety, and only recently in october when it became unberable i seeked professional help. It's been almost 8 months and although having a therapist, taking anti-anxiety, anti-depression medication, even though my life objectively became better academically, socially and almost in every department, my mental health is on a downwards spiral. I told myself this state will persist til winter break, then until spring, then after the finals I will finally be ok and free. We are one day away from June and things just haven't changed that much. Ok they did, my anxiety of dying or doing something dumb while intoxicated, my hypochondria of getting cancer or other, all have shown to stop being so severe which is a good thing, I won't deny it. However I have shown to develop rapid depression, trying to cut my wrist for the first time (with a screw) just a month ago, actively cutting and hurting my feet because "it will be the last place to check for self harm" to thinking of ending it all nearly everyday. It is weird, 19 years i havent even thought this much of ending my life, of course the edgy phases of early teenagehood I was a bit involved in that but mostly for the feel of revolting. Now however I constantly think of how I can kill myself, not mere thoughts anymore, just full on visions. Me throwing my car into a ditch, me jumping in front of a bus, blah blah blah.

Hi, I recently started a new job, so I can save up money and eventually pump out season 2 of our cartoon. But that doesn't mean we couldn't still use investors. As I've stated before, we don't know how to make money from the show, due to it being free to watch. The only thing we're banking on is that a distributor snatches it up and says "here's some money!" So, we've attempted kickstarters to try to get investors that are looking for recognition and perks rather than a portion of our current debt (eventually earnings). However, due to not having the funds to advertise massively, our kickstarters hardly started. The very first one fell short only 500 dollars, which was awesome, but would have been more awesome if we had that additional 500.
We've worked with so many awesome artists (voice and visual and musical) and it's a shame we can't pump out our content quicker. The best way to describe it is the way my friend put it... "it's kind of like AdultSwim but a step worse." I take that as a compliment. All our projects past books, current cartoons, and future cartoons and movies, all take place within one simple complex universe... which, of course, leads to many crossovers and a hell of a cannon map... Season 2's writing is nearly complete, and it's even more insane than the last. And most of the voices have already been recorded, so it's pretty much ready to move to animation. Anway, I am exhausted from just starting work today, so I'm just going to show you a few photos from season 1, as well as an awesome poster for the first season and the link to the full season.
Thanks for your time and just let me know if you'd like to know more! We're not looking for much, compared to other studios. We're just talking 50k to 100k for the season, which many cartoons cost that per episode. Eventually, I'd like to increase our budget big time so all the awesome artists can wear top hats and sing sea shanties while peddling a unicycle under a waterfall, as a rich person often does, but for now, I'd settle with throwing a nice bonus thank you to everyone who worked on the first or second season. Oh, and we'd love to just have an investor to essentially cover the costs of season one, that way I can be made whole and re-budget that out to cover the animation costs of season 2.

All our projects past books, current cartoons, and future cartoons and movies, all take place within one simple complex universe... which, of course, leads to many crossovers and a hell of a cannon map... Season 2's writing is nearly complete, and it's even more insane than the last. And most of the voices have already been recorded, so it's pretty much ready to move to animation. Anway, I am exhausted from just starting work today, so I'm just going to show you a few photos from season 1, as well as an awesome poster for the first season and the link to the full season.

I have been having an issue for a while where windows, no matter what changes I try to make, "updates" my drivers to older and sometimes incompatible ones.
I had originally gotten this PC about 2-ish years ago, and it had worked completely fine driver-wise until I attempted to update the drivers due to a new game that I had recently gotten having low fps and stuttering. After I did, I had an issue where nothing would open, not from the taskbar or start menu, and the PC wouldn't even turn off or restart from the options menu, and had to be turned off with a long press on the power button.
I took the PC to best buy in an attempt to get it working again (I know they're usually incompetent but we still had a membership and it was worth a try). They "repaired" the PC, but a bunch of things were broken and the issue came back a day later, and upon returning it, windows was reinstalled, along with drivers after installation.
The issue came back, and was wiped again when we returned it. I was done with them now and researched myself and came to the conclusion that it was the drivers causing the issue, specifically windows auto updating them and causing them to conflict with each other and break things. DDU-ing and reinstalling drivers fixed it for a bit, but windows would update them again with outdated ones, and they would clash again.
I did a bunch of things that would supposedly stop them from updating, and so far nothing has completely stopped it (although now it takes a few hours for it to overwrite them instead of a few minutes). Group Policy Editor, Registry Editor, Control Panel, WUShowhide, you name it. I'm still trying whatever I can but am now wondering if it could be some weird hardware based problem, such as the motherboard/bios or something weird with the GPU. I have seen this issue happen more to AMD gpus than Nvidia, and was planning on upgrading my GPU to an Nvidia one this year. I'm just looking for either other things to do to attempt to stop windows from updating them or something to point me in the right direction.

Ok so my 39f friend 24m has been having issues with his vehicle since we met; I’m talkin like he’s get it out the shop and the next day it’s be back in that MF. Come to find out the auction ppl sold him a flooded vehicle 😡Last August he finally decided to get a new vehicle and my homie went and got himself a very sexy BMW 5 series; not new at all it was a 2010 I believe but man that car was sexy and boy did he look sexy in that bih too 🫦🫦 anyhow. He was on the on-ramp merging onto the interstate but the traffic was stopped, we have the dumbest interstate bc you have a total of two car lengths to merge b4 you’re on the shoulder. Traffic was backed up so he was stopped in the merging lane/ on-ramp the lane was also an “Up” lane when he looked in his rear view mirror and noticed an 18 wheeler coming up mighty fast and be fore he could even fully from the thought of “please don’t hit me” BAM that 18 wheeler SLAMMED into the back of him so hard the truck stopped RIGHT AT THE BACK OF HIS DRIVER SEAT. Luckily he was not injured at all beyond your normal body soreness and stiff neck. Now here’s where everything gets shady so the cop who comes to make the report tells my friend that he’s gonna need to get the car towed that he can’t leave it there, I’ve NEVER had the police NOT CALL a tow company have all vehicles towed. I mean hell one time I had to call the police station to find where a vehicle was that I had totaled anyways back to my friend so my friend calls a tow truck and these MFs brought it to his house and dropped it in his driveway 🤦🏽♀️🤔😡 WTF SERIOUSLY 😳 but ok i asked him if he had spoke to any lawyers bc he had a really good lawsuit that by all means was almost a blessing of sorts. I mean to get slammed into by a big rig truck and be unharmed, not to mention the amount of money he was about to get should’ve been enough to payoff his new car and buy an even newer one completely out right and still have funds leftover. We it’s not May 30th and he is JUST NOW receiving his settlement check but his lawyer settled with the truckers insurance and accepted a payout amount without ever contacting him to discuss anything at all. Throughout this whole ordeal I have asked him several times what was going on but he never knew anything bc the lawyer never would call him back but yet they continued to send him to physical therapy twice a week for 8 months running up that bill b4 I finally got serious with him and was like wtf is going on with this bc my son was in an at fault accident on November 1 and by December 6 he already had a check from insurance. That’s when I found out that this lawyer somehow contacted him the following day I believe and my friend signed paperwork so he thought he had no option other than to stick it out. Now I don’t kno exactly how much his settlement is but I’m thinking it’s way smaller than it should be that’s for certain. So my question is what is a sorta average or going rate for a payout involving an at fault 18 wheeler and if he did in fact get completely screwed over by this lawyer lady is there anything he can do?

So last Wednesday night I took my first dose of Lexapro 5mg and had a terrible night. Super anxious, nauseous, dizzy, jittery. I didn’t sleep until 7am that day. I didn’t take anymore doses because it was such a horrible experience and I just couldn’t stick it out until it got better. That sunday (so three days after taking only one pill) I had diarrhea. Since then, I’ve had diarrhea three separate times (sunday, wednesday, thursday) with no direct cause. I’m aware anxiety can cause diarrhea but I’ve been battling severe anxiety for 5 months now and this is first time this has happened. No one else in my family is sick so it’s not a virus and I highly doubt it’s anything I ate because I went two whole days with no diarrhea. And the days I do have it, it’s only once. My bowel movements for the rest of the day are normal. Diarrhea is one of the most common side effects of Lexapro so do you think it’s to blame? Or has it been too long and too little of a dose to be possible.

So I'm a 32 year old woman who was brought up in a loving and religious family. I married my partner who is a 35 year old man six years ago.
Both of us are Catholics, and I attended church regularly until recently.
We were both on the fence about having kiddos when we got married with a ton of discussions about it when we were dating.
I suppose you can say that he was 60/40 and I was really 50/50, more because I was worried about compromising some of the work that I do within the domestic labour.
I work for a small nonprofit in the advocacy space and often put in a lot more hours than what I'm paid for, but I really enjoy doing it, as it's really in line with my value systems and makes me feel like I'm helping future generations.
My political beliefs align well with Bernie Sanders/AOC, but I live in a red state which is another complex thing.
The reason why both of us were still on the fence about kids is because we were both brought up with the idea that having children is an expectation rather than an option, in our religion and in our families. We never really assumed as kids that we would do anything else - but strangely enough, neither of us really ever had that 'instinct' to want to have our own kids. The 50/50 used to get me really anxious though, I started thinking that there was something wrong with me (this was before the whole childfree movement really got started)
A few years ago, I was diagnosed with a nasty gynecological cancer - luckily I was diagnosed relatively early.
I had a lot of chemotherapy, and after the chemotherapy was done, the doctors still strongly recommended that I have a surgery to remove everything - ovaries, uterus, you name it, because they said the risk of the cancer coming back was really high.
So my husband and I were pretty comfortable with the surgery - but close to the surgery date, we started telling our family and friends about it because at this point a lot of people were still hinting that we would eventually have kids post-treatment.
Most people were supportive, but we started getting comments from some extended family and friends questioning if the surgery was really necessary, asking what my risk of death would be without the surgery, and asking me if my husband was OK with it.
I sort of grinned and bared it and basically just blocked their comments in my mind.
The date of the surgery was a day of pure relief for me which in itself was very revealing to me about my thoughts regarding motherhood -- and the first year and a half of remission was focused on trying to manage my still high risk of recurrence and an uncertain life expectancy mentally.
During that time, I maintained relationships with all of the people who said the comments because I had really just put a mental block on what they said.
Once my life expectancy started looking better, the comments started flashing back in my mind every time I'd see those friends and family at church. It started to have a really bad impact on my confidence, because I understood that they had questioned either the value of my life, or the value of the path I wanted to follow, and since they knew me pretty well prior to cancer, I thought that meant that I was worth less.
In addition, even though I had never really wanted to be a mom, I had internalized a bit of stigma about non-motherhood which I started to deconstruct, along with challenge the significance that Christianity puts on motherhood in women.
My husband helped me with regaining my confidence along with a couple of other family members and a lot of therapy.
When my confidence started coming back and when I started understanding (after a couple of years!) that I was valuable as a human being, I also started understanding why these people had mentioned these things to me (these were people who had cared about me and had been very generous and kind in the past) and my conclusion was that they were just so scared about what a life without children would look like, that it was kind of the monster underneath the bed for them. As in - they had never been friends with a person who was confident and fulfilled and never had kids.
Even though my confidence has recovered, I have almost completely stopped going to my church which was the major place that I saw them, and I am working on establishing a new way of thinking about faith. My husband still attends church more regularly than me, but we are both supportive of each other
Even though I've forgiven those individuals for saying those comments, and I have compassion for them, I can't trust them now, because I know that their unconscious bias will color their judgements on how they see me.
Maybe they will see me with pity - I'm also worried that if I spend too much time with them, I will get influenced by their thinking and my confidence will be impacted then.
So I see them very, very occasionally compared to before.
I do feel bad though, because some of these people have kids - and I could have spent a bit more time with the kids at least. The kids are still young though, and so they're with their parents a lot.

hiii so I (f15) am in a bit of a tough situation and could really use some advice. Both my older sister (21) and I struggle with mental health issues. I've been dealing with mine for my whole life, but she has been struggling with what I believe might be religious OCD for about half a year now.
Lately, my sister has been venting to me a lot because she feels like the rest of our family doesn't understand her. While I want to be there for her, I find it increasingly hard to cope ): I’m dealing with my own mental health challenges that I haven't been able to talk to anyone about, not even her. Keeping everything to myself is taking a toll, and I feel overwhelmed.
On a positive note, I have started doing things to support myself and my mental health, and my life is slowly getting better :) However, I also have a chronic illness, which means that even when I’m feeling better mentally, I still struggle physically. My sister often forgets about my chronic illness and gets really upset when I can’t talk with her.

Forces, some we have influence on, others we don’t, have had impact. Here at Casa de Zedd, our hall of plenty is our media room. In a typical 500 Movies series, I like to keep the line up varied, 80s mixed tape style: you might check in and find we watched an 70s drama, a tried and true screwball comedy from the 40s, a 90s-era neo-noir. Our media room is well stocked with motion pictures great and small - 1922 through 2024, over a hundred years of film history from around the world. My mixing game is strong. This year’s series has been… less so.
First and foremost, we returned with a different intent (our control) - making 500 Movies a fun, safe place on Reddit during a hard year (not in our control). A sane act of friendly care in a world filled with insane, dreadful headlines. ((Yikes)) Mrs. Lady Zedd also asked me about focusing more on new movies, well - more than we have previously.
I’m also doing my damndest to get the new Movie Collection Catalog up and run to full capacity. Inputting particulars, pulling the digital codes for processing, incoming new films… my plate is very full. The end result this year has been fewer older films, more new ones. A focus on film eras we feel the most comfortable watching (the most bang for our buck, emotionally), but also a bit easier for the two of us to write up. We’re 5 months in, ahead of schedule, but our movie make up is more straight line than 80s mixed tape:
So, here we are: Loretta Young and Ray Milland in a romantic/screwball(ish) comedy, very common cinema fare in 1940. Sharped-tongued lady, bumbling over-thinking guy, impossible situation turns to a love connection. Opposites attract because at the end of the day there’s a fine line between love and hate.
Ray Milland is a bit of a success story around here - I hadn’t a clue who he was 20 years ago but his drunken wink promotional picture was so recognizable on IMDb, he became an early “Them” candidate. He’s uptight but droll - you’ll enjoy his performances but I always think James Stewart could have done everything a bit better.
As my awareness of Milland grew, I started realizing he was a regular on TV and movies of dubious quality (??) in the 70s and early 80s. His appearance and voice had changed considerably over the years - I knew this older, gruff Ray Milland but the young, dapper Milland felt like a stranger. The more our collection grew, the better able I was to reconcile the two versions. He graduated from “Them” to leading man.
Mrs. Lady Zedd opines Loretta Young - an actress we haven’t any experience with - was rather attractive and well suited to this part. We’ve been aware of her but it was nice to see her in action. Sparks certainly flew as Young and Milland clash in every conceivable way and then fly again as they make the love connection - she said (and I agree), they had solid on-screen chemistry.
Funny thing about having a sizable collection, when you haven’t visited a genre or era in a while and then throw it in the machine, it’s like opening a window in Spring - a breath of fresh air. You simply can’t hope for those sorts of self-guided explorations if you’re depending on streaming services to play nice. Who knows what some programing algorithm will “decide” to make available… maybe you’ll find what you’re looking for, maybe you won’t. No thanks, I’ll just keep my discs and host myself. I always seem to have what I’m looking for ((wink-wink)). Consider doing the same.
