Junie is a 3 year old Holland/lop lion head mix. Since this morning I’ve noticed he’s pooped less than normal. I went out today for most of the morning and afternoon and when I returned there was poop, just less than normal and hard, strung together with fur. His coat is shaved every 3 months and he refuses to be brushed. He’s eating his hay, pellets and greens. His behavior seems normal otherwise. He even binkied for me ❤️. Should I take him to the vet if he is still pooping not as much by tomorrow? Any tips on helping him go? I’m worried this could lead to stasis.

I'll try to keep this as straight to the point as possible, although I admit I am STRESSED OUT and probably overthinking:

• I have a male cat, PW, who is about 10 years old. He's lived with other cats multiple times before (used to live in NYC/move frequently); never did a formal introduction process and never had any issues or fights.
  
• My partner has a female cat, H, who is about 8 years old. As far as we know, she's never lived with other cats. She is generally a very anxious and insecure cat, for example she struggles to eat without someone standing next to her at her food dish.
  
• For about 2 weeks, PW was staying in the second bedroom at my partner's old apartment, and we tried introducing them through the door at mealtimes. H would hiss at and stare through the door, and lunged at it once, but was able to tolerate eating with the door gap uncovered. PW was calm and non-reactive and responded to H mostly with curiosity and/or trepidation. We also did some scent swapping for short periods of time and began using Feliway plugins.
  
• For the last 4 weeks, we have had them separated in our new home. For week 1 and week 2, the cats were separated in their own bedrooms, and would have designated times to explore the rest of the house. During this time period H would antagonize PW through the door gap, and dragged away towels that we used to block the door. We stopped doing mealtimes at the door (not sure if this was a mistake?) and focused on scent swapping. There was an altercation; we didn't see what happened but H had been exploring the house and antagonized PW through the door gap, and he was able to scratch her paw, causing light bleeding. We got draft stoppers that velcro to the doors after this, so H can't detach them.
  
• After week 2, we made a "cat area" in the basement and have had the cats on separate floors, swapping 2-3 times a day. However since we are rarely in the basement, the cat downstairs will frequently meow or paw at the door. They both seem less stressed overall not being trapped in a single bedroom, but we're concerned that they may be feeling resource competition over our attention/time. We do play with and feed the cats downstairs, but it's nowhere near 50/50, and only one cat can be upstairs overnight to sleep with us (which both cats are accustomed to.)
  
• Another incident occurred when we were not present, and PW was somehow able to knock the basement door open. We're not sure how things started, but when we got downstairs PW lunged and pounced on H, and sliced up my partner pretty bad when he got between them. It was around dinnertime and I suspect PW was hungry and irritable, H was antagonizing him through the door, and he was able to lunge at her when the door bumped open. She was not injured but was clearly very afraid.
  
• After weeks of her hissing at him, PW is now much more reactive to H than he seemed to be previously; H also seems increasingly anxious about PW after these altercations. We still haven't been doing shared mealtimes and are focusing on scent swapping and getting them to stop antagonizing each other through the door.
  

My questions:

• Is using food/mealtime actually a good way to get them to calm down with the door scraps? It feels notable to me that they're more likely to antagonize each other this way when they're hungry. Even though there was some hissing when we tried it before, H was able to eat with PW around, and I feel like re-introducing positive mealtime associations would be a good thing. My partner is concerned about "pushing it" and making things worse so I'm not sure what the right move is.
  
• How do we make having them on separate floors less stressful for them? Personally I think we should get more toys and cat trees for the basement to make it more exciting; right now there's a scratching post, some shelves to jump on, a few comfy seats, a TV (which I try to put cat TV videos on as often as possible) and a toy on a string, but nothing the cats can really play with on their own. I think this would make a big difference, is there an inexpensive way to further cat-ify the basement?
  
• How do we actually get things moving in a positive direction?? I'm having such a hard time not being discouraged by the fact that it feels like in the last 6 weeks, we've only been moving backwards. I would really like to figure out how to start making positive associations and helping them get along, because I am seriously stressing myself sick about keeping them separated and avoiding another (worse) fight.
  

Windows had a pending update, and when I'd launch WoW the enter and backspace stopped working. I rebooted to apply updates, and had to reboot multiple times for it to actually apply updates, and now they don't work at all game or no game. Sometimes if I mash the key around or hold it down it starts working on and off. This laptop is less than 2 years old, what the hell? For the past several months I've been having trouble with double keypresses too. I moved away from mac because of their shit ass keyboard inevitably having issues and now this asus, which has been otherwise okay, is flaking out. Nothing I google seems to help, just reddit posts where people say the same shit happens. 16" probook h5600 btw, not a cheap laptop, and really shitty I pay this much for something that doesn't even work by now.

Hello kind people. I have been following this sub for a long time and it has given me a lot of useful information on handling the situation with my landlord. Thank you all.
My landlord has been an ass since forever and now, I am in a situation again with my landlord.
I am in a rent-controlled building(35-year-old) and have been paying 2700 CAD monthly rent. Last October the landlord tried to arm twist me into agreeing to an increase of 300 CAD per month. I fought back. By around January, the landlord's father tried to mediate and we agreed to a 150 CAD rent increase on the condition that the landlord would replace the Dryer(his father is a handyman and he does all the fixes in the house). I started paying 2850 CAD rent from March onward. His father was in their home country at this time and he promised that he would make the change once he was back in Canada. Now, they are reneging on their promise and are saying that I am just making a fuss about the dryer.
What is my recourse here? Can I roll back to the old rent and ask the landlord to refund the excess rent I have paid?
TLDR: Got coerced into increasing above guideline rent by the landlord based on a deal to change the dryer but now the landlord is not fulfilling his side of the bargain. Can I get the excess rent refunded and can I roll back to the old rent?

Why does every video say to make some stupid face mask with lemons and stuff, I tried it consistently for a week and it did not help. So I'm starting work at Walmart in 2020, within 8mo I get a promotion to TL but do follow up on when the offer will come but keep getting excused until I give up and just back to regular Associate. In 2022 I took FMLA and couldn't keep to my attendance but my HR said if I called off use pregnancy I shouldn't get points. Back from FMLA with a new SM and a bunch of people who other people complain that they suck at their job being TL. I'm back as ON and then ask if there's an opportunity to level up. My HR claimed my SM didn't know me well although everyone knows I have a good work ethic, and always do good in every task I've been assigned. I debated her until at the point of she mentioned attendance, at that time mine was 3.5 which is 1.5 occurring during the stupidity of my TL but she won't admit it and won't wipe it anyway so I'm not wasting time arguing with a dumb. To get the upper position I enrolled in Walmart education on Leadership certification and Bachelor in business. I just graduated in March. Now I'm in family hardship. Contact my HR on how to get approval to apply for the higher position when I'm less than 6 months in a new department. I told her how I'd be interested in getting a higher position and higher pay plus my attendance of 1.5. Her response is upsetting me. Instead of encouraging me, she suggested I look for the position of Deli/Bakery if want higher pay when she knew that was not what I wanted and there's TL position available at my store. Someone ever told me that our management is racist and told me to pay attention when see the Leadership board and YES from 30 people management is only 3 people of color and most of those 3 worked hard to get to that position compared with others who in that position who constantly get complained of how terrible they are as leader. So I made an account on AQ, DF, and MQ each all with the same email/username somewhere between 5-8 years ago. Couldn't remember what password I had used for them so I tried to recover it... except the email never came.
Alright, weird, maybe I had used an old email. So I went to check what email was associated with the username, and for all three it said "email not found" or something to that effect.
I put in a help ticket on Saturday but I obviously won't get helped until at least Monday, but I was more wondering why I'm even running into this issue. Does Artix disable accounts after long periods of nonusage, or perhaps the associated email got lost on a server transfer, etc.? Anyone else have this issue before?
I've already settled into probably needing to start all over but I know I had a DA on the DF account, unsure if I bought premium for the other 2 though. So it'll suck kinda losing that 20 bucks lol. Artix is a good company though so I guess buying premium over again isn't the worst thing in the world.

So I'm not talking about artifacting. I'm talking about everything looks pixelated. I'm running on an alienware monitor IPS so I don't really expect much, but it's looking way worse than it was. Let's say one year ago....
The main concern here is when I'm playing games. It's hard to describe. There's absolutely no artifacting that I can spot... However, what I am noticing though is that while I'm playing, it acts as though I have lag but it's not actually lagging... Everything will sort of stutter for a second including the sound which will make kind of like a glitching noise like it's literally like a car trying to brake while still going forward. Pieces of the graphic and frames will jump down to like one or two even though the frames are still consistent... Then all the sudden it will speed all the way back up. This only happens once every 4 hours or so and it doesn't matter what game
I started noticing it while playing the finals. However, I noticed it while also playing Diablo 4 and even magic the gathering.... So it's not graphics related, but it may be a dying graphics card..
Pc specs: 64 GB ram, 3060 TI RTX gpu, and ryzen 5800x CPU.
My question is do you really think it's my graphics card dying cuz that's what I'm coming to the conclusion of... I ran a bunch of benchmarks and almost everything shows that it's a healthy card... Is it possible since it's AMD communicating with Nvidia that it somehow is messing up. It is a g-sync monitor so that is another issue. Should I just take g-sync off?
I'm really hoping to fix this issue but I'm also leaning towards just throwing cash at the problem buying a new card.... I currently have two 3060 TIs. Also, I haven't tried swapping one out for the other but I actually am willing to give that a go too. What would your suggestion be?....
To me it seems most likely to be a CPU or timing error. And to add the PC is 2 years old and it uses a water cooler of which I've never fixed. Never added new fluid to and wondering if maybe that is contributing as it's the last thing I really want to deal with

I think that the training videos covered a bit of material about nutrition in the context of tailoring your macros to hot and cold weather. It also mentioned the concept of stretching, but never mentioned suggested muscle groups or how to stretch them.
If that’s all you know about recovery, you’re likely bereft of strategies to keep yourself from being broken down. That means Amazon is milking money off of our degradation, which is the shame because it’s not like they don’t have the wherewithal to support us.
I know generally that the sports science of recovery has improved a lot in recent years. A lot of people have credited the longevity of elite athletes like Tom Brady and LeBron James to the development of this knowledge base. I’m also aware of some of the more quirky, expensive, or extreme methods that some athletes apply, such as hyperbaric chambers, compression machines, and cryotherapy.
Personally, I’m trying to develop a practical, methodical, and comprehensive recovery regimen, and I would love to hear about anything that has worked for you!

Here are my onions in varying states of drying out on my curing station with a fan underneath everything.
The ones in the bag are mostly cured. The really small ones will be replanted as onion sets in the fall. The ones too big for sets will be used for stock, and then I have a whole bunch of tennis ball to baseball sized ones, and even a few softball sized ones!
There are about 30 more still out in the garden waiting to be harvested (necks aren't soft yet). Some pretty big ones still out there, too!

I also had some old "Texas Grano 502" purchased from Gurney's leftover from the year before that I managed to germinate.
I started them in mid-September and planted in early November. Harvesting as been weekly all month (I check for soft stems weekly and then I pull them).

I have moved from my small home town to a city and left my partner and my dog whom I really love. We have been together for 3 years. (I’m 22 he is 27) I’m now living with my brother and his missus in Sydney. They kindly let me live in their spare bedroom. I wanted to leave my home town because I wanted to be closer with family (my family lives here except for my dad) as well as seeing what it is like to live away from my home town, I got kind of sick of living in my home town and just wanted to spread my wings a little. I just had this itch to do so. Just needed a change. Maybe try and find myself a career or a job that’s not cleaning. I felt like it would be good for my self confidence. I was unemployed for the first month but then finally got a job as a Dental Assistant trainee. I’ve only been working since middle of March. It is a 45 min drive to and from work and I’m only getting paid $23/hr 3-4 days a week. It’s actually such a shit job tbh with you. I’m really struggling with it all financially, I just got my car serviced and there’s like 10 things wrong with it and if I get it fixed I will be paying more than what it’s worth. On top of that I feel so stressed more than ever living here in sydney. The more I live here the more I hate it. I’m depressed as well. I don’t know what I want to do as a career, I am lost. I have no direction in life or passion for anything. People my age have already completed their uni degree and are making 6 figures. Thinking about moving back in with my boyfriend in my home town but don’t know what that will bring me for my future. He reckons we will put our money together and buy a house? How is that even possible when houses are $1M. I don’t have any skills other than cleaning and working in a fish and chip shop. I’m so hopeless. How would I be able to support him financially as well if I can’t support myself? My family is against me moving back there because they see no future for m in the small town and with that guy. Let’s be honest when I was having fights with him I would go to my sister or brother to vent. And it’s probably made him look like a bad guy. He’s a good guy. Because I vented to them about him, they may be biased if I asked for dating advice. I feel this tug of war between my family and my boyfriend. But I feel like if I would be moving back, it would be out of guilt and a “give up” on myself. He s probably going to be like I told you it wouldn’t work out and you didn’t listen to me. Another huge hit to the self esteem. I have experience childhood trauma with a broken family and it’s like I’m reliving it because I’m torn between people and places. I remember when i was a kid I would feel guilty being with one parent and vice versa. I feel so shit about myself and like a complete failure. I just don’t know what to do. People say that people end up like their parents and my boyfriends dad is very narcissistic and he literally tells you that he is better than everyone and smartest. He’s pretty cluey though. Also a womaniser. I do see a lot of his dad in my boyfriend. My gut is telling me that he’s not the right person to marry. But living here in sydney is giving me so much stress. Maybe I cut ties with everyone and move to another city? But I feel like no matter where I go my depression will follow me. I have no friends or unbiased family to ask advice. Bf is putting a timer on and saying he’s not going to wait for me and just stick around for me to fall back on if things don't work out. that is how he said his feeling. i feel like a terrible partner for making him feel this way. i would be letting down my siblings and family if i go back to my home town and live with him. what is the right thing to do? Forgive me if this question should be asked elsewhere but I could really use some advice.
I’ve been a journalist full time at the same company in Huntsville, Alabama for the last 3 years. I started out at my university newspaper in 2013 before graduating and moving to New Orleans where I wasn’t able to book work consistently enough to truly say, “I’ve been a journalist for the past decade.” There was a 1-2 year period where I thought I didn’t have what it took.
My current situation has been very satisfying from the beginning. My boss owns a magazine and a business journal focused on Huntsville and the surrounding area. Most of the assignments have been limited in the amount of exposure you could ever expect as with most other community based journalism but Huntsville is also home to NASA and Redstone Arsenal. It requires more effort a long with putting yourself out there much more consistently, but any determined journalist can find stories locally that will generate readers far beyond the city and state lines.
In August of 2023, I had an instance where my luck and determination peaked at the same time when I was able to track down the son of a former Chinese immigrant turned Huntsville scientist, Dr. Ning Li. She wasn’t famous, not even among most Huntsville residents, but in the early 2000’s she had a run of published papers that made her extremely well known in the science community and even resulted in publications like Wired running multi page spreads about her work on anti gravity technology. I’m going to be REALLY short here but she seemingly disappeared after leaving UAH to start her own company for her research in 2002. Records show initial funding from DoD but the paper trail ends there and she never had a public appearance again.
Eventually this “disappearance” was noticed and some reporters were asking about her publicly at the time, but no sure fire answers ever came. This, along with some public rumors of her defecting back to China with US secrets, eventually resulted in a large community of people who were still asking for answers 20 years later in the form of YouTube videos (Barely Sociable had a big one with 2+ million views) or various science / conspiracy based websites. It only grew as more people started making claims that a lot of the UAP reports being publicized described technology that seemed to resemble her initial theory that gained promise.
I was able to track down her adult son’s phone number. After a series of phone calls over the next month, I gained his trust and was invited to his home where he was able to give me all of the answers except ones about the success of her research on her top secret work funded by the DoD. He didn’t know if she was ever proven right or wrong because she worked at the Arsenal every day until the day she was struck by a car driven by a student on UAH campus. She suffered a TBI that immediately rendered her as if she had late stage Alzheimer’s. Never spoke again and he cared for her around the clock until she died 6 years later.
He was unable to learn anything further about her work, but he gave me a lot of information that wasn’t known at the time and I was able to fully disprove any rumor of her turning traitor to the US for a return to China.
I published the story and it did really well in mid-late 2023 amongst the crowd who already knew of her obviously and the regular Huntsville readers of ours found her life story very interesting. It was immediately the most successful story of my career as other reporters were making stories about the fact that I was able to solve her mystery. It died down like I figured until 4-6 weeks ago.
The UAP disclosure hype has resulted in more people talking about her than ever before. I’m hearing my name and seeing my picture on videos with over 1 million views for the first time ever.
I was very happy but didn’t think it changed much for me because it’s not like it could grow more realistically. Until Joe fucking Rogan reads pretty much the whole story and talks about it for 5-10 minutes on the podcast with largest following in the world.
My excitement turned to disbelief that day and it’s still crazy to think about sometimes. I never realistically thought I would write something that would generate traffic numbers around 5-6 million readers on a single story. That number is over course of 8 months which is very far removed getting those same numbers in the span of a week but the increase in exposure has been noticeable in my inbox ever since the Rogan podcast.
Noticeable enough that it feels like I’m very possibly having a moment before it’s just a moment before THE moment if that makes sense.
I haven’t had any career advancing job offers but there’s been some who have reached out in support to suggest various story topics that run parallel to that story as follow up ideas. Maybe I’m overestimating here but I feel like if I capitalize on my recent success correctly, I could see my career advance a step farther than I thought was possible for the year of 2024 when it started.
But…. I’m not at all sure how of the specific road map that could achieve such a thing. Yeah, I proved I can put together a story that results in traffic from both readers and “cultural trendsetters” but only once.
If anyone has ever been in a similar position, I would love some advice on the best way to turn this exposure into interest from publishers 1 step up the totem pole from where I am now. That also applies to people who haven’t been in this position, the more feedback I can get, the more prepared I feel I can be.

My (40m) girlfriend (44f) is currently going through a tough time. She has had a semi-feral cat for 13 years. Cat lives in doors but tolerates humans, but no physical contact.
We found out about a month ago during a teeth cleaning that this cat has a rare cancer in her jaw. We have done all we can to help the kitty but she is getting worse and worse. It’s probably close to time to out her down.
My girlfriend isn’t handling this well at all. She has only had like three pets her whole life and hasn’t experienced losing them often. She is completely a wreck and has all but shut down. Hasn’t gone to work in three days and just sits on the couch in sadness. I have tried to comfort her but nothing is working. She’s not eating much of anything either. I don’t know what to do to help support her during this time. Comfort isn’t working. Doing things for her isn’t working. Leaving her alone isn’t working. Please help with so advice.

Hi! I’m 23 years old and recently had a positive pregnancy test, I went to a free clinic and got confirmation, but that night I started spotting. I went to the ER due to spotting, they told me I was diagnosed with a threatened miscarriage. That was 5 days ago, I have been spotting on and off since then. I reviewed my US results and found many things that I was unsure about, leading me to wonder if I am even pregnant. as of today I am still spotting pink blood when I wipe. I have a follow up appointment on Friday. HCG was 253 Has anyone went through this? What was the results? I am thinking miscarriage but im not sure?

There is a complex cyst localized to the right ovary measuring 2.1 x 0.9 x 0.9 cm which could represent a corpus luteum. Otherwise normal blood flow within the right ovary. LEFT OVARY: 2.7 x 1.7 x 2.5 cm normal echogenicity with normal blood flow. No significant free fluid within the posterior cul-de-sac. IMPRESSION: No intrauterine gestation identified. Complex cyst right ovary measuring 2.1 x 0.9 x 0.9 cm may represent a corpus luteum. Consider short-term follow-up ultrasound as well as correlation with serial beta-hCG.

basically the title, i recall a distant memory (like 6 years old lol) of a creepypasta that was about a spooky kids show that was apparently always odd to parents because the kids that watched it were addicted to it like crack, but one day the creators of the show were like “were gonna have a summer camp for our child viewers” and then the kids leave on a school bus but go missing, it was really similar to the classic “Candle cove” story, but i remember it being told from the pov of a parent instead of one of the children.
