2024.05.20 07:09 Tight_Anywhere_3209 Scared of freeway driving

So pretty much what the title says, I’m 19 years old female and just got my license 2 month ago and got my own car 3 weeks ago and very grateful!’ However I have a trip planned that would be 4 hours on the freeway, and i checked how long would it be without freeways and it’s a 6/7 hour drive if I didn’t go on freeways only like streets so I don’t want to do that of course but any advice for someone learning to drive on the freeways I’m terrified of crashes to and hitting something so any suggestions or advice on this and freeway driving like times to anything would help sorry this is greatly embarrassing to!. 🥲

2024.05.20 07:08 Configuringsausage DM hates players, is a huge ass with rules

Very recent
Ran a campaign with 2 gms and goddamn this was the worst gm I’ve seen in so long, and one gm was absolute dogshit
So first warning sign: the gm power trips like all hell, they refer to themselves as the god of the game and when they’re told a rule that works in the scenario or explained how certain things work, they get mad and make their own rule out of nowhere (ftr, this gm was horrible with the rules to the point where they didn’t even know what a saving throw was despite this not being their first campaign, it happened a lot).
Second warning sign: the gm is super controlling, there are so many examples to name so I’ll just go through notable ones.
Had character’s entire fates planned out, including unavoidable death
Commonly “took over as god” and had the party go places they wanted them to go by force despite lack of planning
Forced people to rp exactly how they wanted (revealing character details to party, using character’s voice, never speaking ooc, etc)
Chose to NOT ALLOW PLAYERS TO PICK THEIR RACE OR CLASS UPON DEATH. Yes, this isn’t even a joke, if a character died, the dm would make them a new one, when this was revealed and players requested races they went as far as to tell them they’d to the exact opposite.
Nerfed abilities and spells on the spot if it did something they didn’t want it to. For example: telepathic speech being noticed by anyone with a semblance of magic talent, detect magic not finding school of magic, create water just not being allowed to be used, dissonant whispers doing less damage than a single spear stab (rolled max damage on 2 guards while twinning it, neither died) and more
Took pretty much all suggestions as insults, rudely blew others off when trying to suggest a rule or recommendation, etc
And even more than this
Third warning sign: demanding players have certain irl items and such, no digital dice allowed, no online sheets allowed, you had to have motherfucking candles for ambience, you had to have a webcam, etc
Last warning sign: a deep hatred for spell casters, wizards could only pick spells from their school, spells within melee range proc opportunity attacks, pretty much every area could entirely negate magic (prison had anti magic, entirety of most major city was anti magic, this one disease sped up when magic was used, and these were all back to back plot points) but when their magic npcs used it they could do pretty much anything with ease despite being like, a random herbalist in a random town in the desert.
None of these things were established prior to the campaign and the majority of the players were brand new to dnd, this was their introduction to the game. Like my first dm wasn’t a shining example but he at least had good grips on the rules, this dm is just horrible, I feel so bad for the other players
TLDR: extreme railroading, extremely stubborn, very bad understanding of the rules, super controlling, and rude dm

🔗Yeti 20 oz Rambler Tumbler with MagSlider Lid - Coral

I recently had the chance to try the Yeti 20 oz Rambler Tumbler, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for my daily routine. The moment I held this stainless steel on-the-go cup, I knew it was something special. Its durability is unmatched - I could probably drop it off a cliff and it would still be intact (okay, maybe not that extreme, but you get the point).
One of the standout features of this tumbler is its ability to keep my drinks at the perfect temperature. Whether it's a steaming hot cup of coffee or an ice-cold beverage on a scorching summer day, this Yeti tumbler never disappoints. The double-wall vacuum insulation does the trick, ensuring my drinks stay just as I like them for hours on end.
However, there is one aspect that could use some improvement. The tumbler can be a bit slippery, especially for those with smaller hands like myself. A bit of texture on the exterior would make all the difference in preventing any accidental drops.
Another minor issue is the lid, which can sometimes become loose after a few uses. When this happens, it can cause my drink to spill out, leaving a mess on my shirt. However, I've found that a quick adjustment usually solves the problem.
Despite these minor setbacks, the Yeti 20 oz Rambler Tumbler has become an essential part of my daily life. Its stylish design and impressive performance make it well worth the investment, and I can confidently say it's the best tumbler I've ever owned. With its ability to keep my drinks at the right temperature and its sleek, modern look, I can't help but highly recommend this tumbler to anyone in the market for an on-the-go cup solution.

When I first got my hands on the Yeti Rambler 20 oz Travel Mug, I was immediately drawn to its unique High Desert Clay design. The lid - the Rambler Stronghold Lid - was a breeze to use, with its magnet technology making it easy for both right-and left-handed users. The elevated handle was a game-changer, allowing me to enjoy cupholder convenience just about anywhere.
Although I loved the handle, I found that the lid had a few drawbacks. The lid itself was not interchangeable with other Rambler Drinkware models, and I couldn't use different colored magsliders. I wish it was more versatile on that front, but it's worth considering the Stronghold Lid's function and how it fits your personal preferences.
Now, let's talk about the mug itself. The Yeti Rambler kept my drinks cold for a long time, without the need to refill as often as I had to with my old mug. The outside design, with the No Sweat element, helped me to avoid condensation on the outside, keeping my hands dry. The mug didn't leak, even when accidentally knocked over, and the lid's seal was strong.
One thing that stood out to me was the mug's ability to fit into a car's cupholder flawlessly, something that's not always the case in my experience. The unique combination of style, durability, and convenience made this Yeti mug a standout choice for anyone in search of a dependable travel mug experience.

As a frequent adventurer, I got tired of having lukewarm drinks on my outdoor trips. That's when I discovered the YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap, and boy, was I hooked! The first thing you'll notice about this bottle is its build - it's made of kitchen-grade stainless steel that's puncture and rust-resistant. I tossed this in my backpack, and it didn't even scratch. The insulation works like a charm, keeping my coffee hot for hours and my ice water cold all day long. No more lukewarm frustrations for me!
But let's not forget about the Chug Cap - it's designed to give you a smooth, leak-free drinking experience. However, I did find it a bit tricky to twist off initially. The cap does have a unique design that might take some getting used to. I also wish the company offered individual replacement parts for the cap lid, which seems like a missed opportunity for customization. But overall, I'm really satisfied with the YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap. It's a game-changer for outdoor enthusiasts like myself.

Ever enjoyed a relaxing morning with your favorite hot beverage, only for the warmth to dissipate, leaving you with a lukewarm sip? Say goodbye to that frustration with the Yeti 14 oz Rambler Mug. Made with 18/8 stainless steel, the sturdy construction not only feels solid in your hands but also retains heat incredibly well. The mug's comfortable, full-loop TripleGrip handle is thoughtfully designed for wide hands, making it easy to grab and go.
One of the key features that stood out in my experience is the double-wall vacuum insulation, which keeps your beverages at the desired temperature for hours on end. But the magic doesn't stop there. With the mug's no-sweat design, you can confidently take it on the go without worrying about condensation dripping down the exterior. It truly is the perfect companion for your daily adventures, be it at the office or on a camping trip.
Of course, no product is without its cons. While the mug is undoubtedly durable and built to last, some might find it a tad heavier than their average mug. Additionally, one must exercise caution when handling or storing items in the mug since the triple-loop handle can become a bit of an obstacle in tight spaces.
In conclusion, the Yeti 14 oz Rambler Mug is a game-changer for anyone seeking a reliable and long-lasting mug to keep their beverages at the perfect temperature. With its stylish design and top-notch performance, it's definitely a worthy addition to any coffee lover's collection.

As a coffee enthusiast, I was excited to try the Yeti 14 oz Rambler Mug with Magslider Lid in the High Desert Clay color. The moment I held it, I could feel the sturdiness and quality of the material. The double-wall vacuum insulation truly works, keeping my coffee hot for hours on end, no matter what adventure it accompanied me on.
What stood out for me was the design of the lid. Not only did it prevent spills, but it also made sipping my coffee on the go much more convenient. Additionally, the DuraCoat finish and lack of sweating made it a great accessory to take with me everywhere.
One thing to note, however, is that while the magnet on the lid is useful in keeping drinks contained, it's not leakproof and should be handled carefully to avoid accidental spills. Overall, I highly recommend this mug to fellow coffee lovers and adventurers seeking a durable, high-quality way to enjoy their beverages.

🔗Durable, Insulated 10 oz. YETI White Tumbler

I recently tried out the Yeti Rambler 10 oz Tumbler in white, and let me tell you, it has been a game-changer for my daily coffee routine. The 10 oz size is perfect for a quick cup on the go, and the wide opening makes it easy to fill and clean. The vacuum-insulated body does an excellent job at keeping my coffee at the ideal temperature, even after several hours.
One of the standout features of this tumbler is its puncture and rust-resistant stainless steel construction. After using it for a few weeks, I can confidently say it's built to last. The MagSlider lid is another great addition, providing a secure closure that prevents spills without compromising on ease of drinking.
However, there are a couple of downsides to consider. The lid, while effective, is not fully leak-proof, so I recommend avoiding placing it in a bag or backpack with other items. Additionally, the slightly tapered shape makes it a bit less stable than a straight cup, but it doesn't cause any major issues.
Overall, the Yeti 10 oz Tumbler in white has exceeded my expectations and become an essential part of my morning routine. Despite the minor drawbacks, it's definitely worth the investment for its top-notch quality and durability.

🔗Cerakote Yeti Cup: High Desert Clay Bottle with Insulating Chug Cap for Outdoor Adventures

One sunny afternoon, I decided to bring along my favorite stainless steel bottle, the YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap, for a long hike in the mountains. The moment I held it, I could feel the quality of the material, the no-sweat exterior, and the comforting weight in my hand. It was the perfect companion for my hike, keeping my water cold and refreshing as I walked up the steep trail.
As I took a break to catch my breath, I noticed that the bottle was surprisingly easy to handle with its TripleHaul handle. The handle, with its quick twist, allowed me to set it down with ease and protect the contents from spilling. The Chug Cap, being the default lid choice, proved to be convenient for filling my bottle quickly, making my hike even more enjoyable.
However, after a few hours of hiking, I started to feel rather parched. I took a sip of water from the bottle, only to find that the cap was a bit hard to hold while drinking. I had to hold the cap itself in order to prevent spills, which proved to be a small inconvenience. Despite this, my YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap remained an excellent companion on my mountainous adventure.
Upon returning home, I took the time to clean my bottle in the dishwasher, and it was as easy as promised – no more work than what I was already doing. The bottle's leakproof nature gave me peace of mind as I knew my beverages would stay inside, even when I turned it upside down.
Overall, the YETI Rambler High Desert Clay Bottle with Chug Cap made my hike more satisfying and comfortable, providing me with a refreshing beverage whenever I needed it. The sturdy build and reliable insulation make it the ideal companion for any outdoor adventure. Despite the minor drawbacks, the pros outweigh the cons, making it a reliable and enjoyable accessory for my daily life.

2024.05.20 07:08 LawrenceBrolivier We not doing the Horizon Part 1 Cannes Review Roundups?

Robert Daniels, rogerebert.com
As much as Costner tries to play an even hand, attempting to give the Indigenous and settler perspective equal attention, it doesn’t wholly work. Yes, we meet the family of the Apache warriors, but their screen time pales in comparison to their white counterparts. It also doesn’t help that the white women characters are, for the most part, so clean and luminous—nary a speck of dust on them despite their grungy surroundings—that they appear angelic on screen. The score is equally telling: It’s a gorgeous, big, triumphant Old Hollywood score whose most sympathetic notes are reserved for the film’s white characters. Costner does at least include a diverse cast, nodding toward the presence of Black people and Chinese immigrants in the history of the West, tracing across the vast, sumptuously photographed landscape by DP J. Michael Muro.
While “Horizon” teases a kind of conspiracy theory—a mysterious publisher is printing and sending pamphlets promising a land of milk of honey that is only occupied by death—I can’t help but continue to think about the film in relation to “How The West Was Won.” That Western, ultimately, couldn’t overcome the weight of the era it was created in or genre conventions like forced, feeble romances. “Horizon” is arriving in a more “enlightened” time, especially considering the release of Martin Scorsese’s “Killer of the Flower Moon” and other Indigenous-made works, such as “Reservation Dogs,” “Wild Indian,” “The Body Remembers When the World Broken Open,” “Beans,” and more. That presence put even greater pressure on Costner. And so far, he hasn’t completely overcome being the director of “Dances with Wolves.” That filmmaker, for better or for worse, still exists here in every corner of this epic picture.
Owen Glieberman, variety.com
As a stand-alone film (which it isn’t, but let’s pretend for a moment), “Horizon” is by turns convoluted, ambitious, intriguing, and meandering. But it’s never quite moving. It’s too busy laying down narrative tracks and hammering out the minutiae of situations that don’t feel like they’re leading anywhere special.
The real problem is the script (by Costner and Jon Baird), which is shapeless. It doesn’t weave these stories together; it stacks them next to each other like a series of cabooses. Yet I think the idea is that the design of it all will come into focus as we see “Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 2” (later this year), and then, at some point, “Chapter 3” (which is now scheduled) and maybe, if all goes according to plan, more chapters. I seriously hope not. I’m not sure how much juice there is to squeeze out of these characters, but even if there is some I don’t want to see movies turn into television. Just about every Western of the studio era came in at two hours or less, and so did most of the revisionist Westerns (and some of those were complicated). There’s a reason for that. It’s all the time they needed.
David Rooney, thehollywoodreporter.com
Running a taxing three hours, this first part of a quartet of films is littered with inessential scenes and characters that go nowhere, taking far too long to connect its messy plot threads. Warner Bros. will release Chapter One in U.S. theaters June 28, with Chapter Two following on August 16 and Chapter Three reportedly going into production. A vigorous montage closes the first part with action-packed snippets from the next installment, adding to the nagging sense that we’re watching episodic TV that lost its way.
What’s most perplexing coming from Costner is the uncomfortably long time the film takes to show sensitivity toward its Indigenous characters. We’re well into Horizon before the perspective on Native resistance is broadened to acknowledge that their murderous attacks on new settlements are a direct response to the occupation of their ancestral lands. It’s very confusing to see a Western in 2024 and find yourself thinking, “Wait, so American Indians are the bad guys again?”
Gregory Ellwood, theplaylist.com
As “Horizon” progresses, there are numerous new storylines added to the equation. Some are almost trivial, others cliche (even for the genre), and few appear to add much to whatever the whole of Costner’s vision will eventually be. It just feels like very low stakes all around. And when you realize there isn’t even a minor conclusion to any of the narratives, the movie ends with essentially a slew of weak cliffhangers (if they can even be constituted as such), you wonder once again, “Why is this a movie?” This is an ongoing long-form television series propped up on the big screen. It’s that’s appealing you’ll be thrilled to know Costner ends the three hours with an extended teaser that seemingly gives away quite a bit for “Chapter 2” (you’re welcome for the spoiler warning). Thankfully, if you like “Chapter 1” you only have to wait six weeks for that installment to hit your local multiplex.
Besides the debate over whether it is or isn’t a movie, there’s also the question of the depiction of Native Americans in the end product. It’s initially refreshing to hear Gephardt question the settlers as to why of all places they set up camp in Horizon. Did the three graves across the river not suggest perhaps this riverbed was off-limits? Gephardt and Riordan also give much-needed exposition on the other Apache tribes and indigenous groups that are relatively peaceful to settlers if you leave them alone. The conversations within the Apache tribe also depict an old guard attempting to make the argument to an angry, impatient new generation ready that they are safe in the hills. They don’t need to engage with the settlers. The youngsters want nothing of it and demand their land back by any means necessary. In theory, this is a smart depiction of the various viewpoints of this era. But Costner and composer John Debney score the attack on Horizon (and other Indian encounters) with a sweeping and grandiose sympathy only for the settlers (who, again, shouldn’t be there). It almost undoes all of the positive portrayal that comes before it.
Richard Lawson, vanityfair.com
Horizon is far from stately, or even coherent. A jumble of clichéd plots rendered in washed-out color (and washed-out performances), Horizon may rival Megalopolis as the biggest American boondoggle at this year’s Cannes. Sure, what appears disorderly may turn out to be genius by the time we’ve seen the end of the project—but ten hours is an awfully long time to wait to find out.
The three central narratives, as I see it, concern the ragged townspeople of a settlement in the San Pedro River valley (called Horizon) ; a gruff gunslinger making his way across the mountains further north with a woman and a child in tow; and a Santa Fe Trail wagon train snaking its way toward Horizon. (I think?) There is, halfheartedly, a fourth thread, about schisms within the Apache tribes who are native to the territory on which Horizon was hastily built. But the film only pays them lip service. Mostly they function as the brutal antagonizers of the Horizon townsfolk, who are nearly wiped out in a nighttime raid that is one of the film’s very few action sequences—the rest is the dullest and hoariest of talk.
Perhaps all will cogently, even movingly, converge in Chapter 2, but there’s little reason to have faith. This first foray sets a table that seems beyond saving by the end. At least Horizon accomplishes one staggering feat: it makes one wonder if we were maybe a little too hard on The Postman.

Hello! I am currently going to college for my psychology degree and only have 1.5 years left. The only thing that I really need to work on is picking a minor and sticking with it (my school does not allow majoring in psychology without a minor.)
I’m realizing more and more that I want to work on the technical side of things, like data analysis. I asked my statistics rofessor about this because I didn’t know if I could get into it with a bachelors in psych and if I needed to switch to another major, but he said it’s doable.
I’m just wondering which minor would look good for my future schooling. I’m planning on either getting a graduate certification in data analytics, or going to a boot camp like the one at KU. I also just don’t know if my psych degree would look good for it. I know my professor said it’s doable, but is it realistic?
I also am starting to look into undergrad internships, but I don’t know how to boost my resume to look good for these types of internships. Before I decided to switch to something like data analytics, I had multiple jobs in the social work and mental health field; that’s all I have though. I used to be super involved in school, but had to stop being so involved because I have a baby now.
Long post I know, but I just don’t feel super confident in this because of my major. I’m really interested in the field, but I can’t really afford to switch my major and stay in school even longer. Any advice?

2024.05.20 07:07 chrissycash Was excited about a date but not sure anymore

Hi everyone, I would love your thoughts on a guy I’ve been on four dates. We met online. First date was dinner. Second date was dinner two days later. The following day was the third date or dinner and a movie. He also let me know his friends had additional tickets to a comedy show for us. I declined because I was not yet ready to meet his friends and wanted to spend more time with him. We tried to get together over the weekend (he offered to cook for me at his apartment and watch a movie) but my schedule didn’t align so we agreed to meet in the middle of the week. While he is planning the activity he shares a link to a sexual chemistry talk for single and couples. I laughed it off and he buys ticket to a comedy show. Fourth date arrives, dinner and a show. I am hoping he kisses me especially since we held hands while watching the comedy show. However he doesn’t and just drops me home without letting me know when we will see each other. I share my feelings on it and he says let’s get in touch the following week. I let him know I am free every day but Thursday and he says Thursday is all he has free. I change my schedule to be free on Thursday and plans never materialize. This was upsetting to me so I asked if we could talk. Recently we got on the phone where I asked him what has changed between us and he told me he wasn’t sure I liked him so he was backing off and giving me space. I asked him what made him think that and he said it’s a feeling he had. I told him I liked him and was hoping he would kiss me already to which he responded he was trying to but wasn’t sure if I was open to it based on my body language so he stopped making the effort. I keep wondering if this guy is bullshitting / gaslighting me. My other frustration with him is he can take a long time to respond. Hours can go by before he responds to my text message and sometimes a few days if I do not double text him. If it provides any additional color he works in real estate.

Navigating the myriad options for bathroom sinks and finding the best bathroom vanities with ample storage space can be an intricate endeavor. We are committed to simplifying this process for you. Join us as we explore the top 10 bathroom sinks of 2023, shedding light on their distinguishing features, exceptional advantages, and market-leading attributes. Together, let’s identify the sink that flawlessly marries elegance and utility for your living environment.

What is the Best Bathroom Sink?

The ideal bathroom sink is a complex interplay of personal taste, spatial limitations, and design objectives. However, there are universally recognized qualities that contribute to a superior bathroom sink.

Ease of Maintenance

Effective household management necessitates reducing the time allocated for bathroom sink maintenance. Premium sinks are designed for low maintenance, featuring stain-resistant properties and ease of cleaning. Materials like solid surfaces are advantageous due to their smooth surfaces that effectively repel common bathroom stains.

Diversity in Sizes and Styles

A one-size-fits-all approach is impractical when it comes to bathroom sinks. Your choice will be influenced by spatial considerations and aesthetic preferences. Below are some standard sink dimensions:

Sink Type Size (in inches)
Drop-in Sinks 20-24
Undermount Sinks 19-22
Above-counter Sinks 15-20
Cabinet Sinks 24-48
Freestanding Sinks 18-30
Wall-hung Sinks 20-24

Drop-in Sinks

Commonly known as top-mounted sinks, drop-in sinks are favored for their straightforward installation process. These sinks are inserted into a pre-cut hole in the countertop, with the rim sitting above it. This configuration offers a contemporary look and serves as a practical solution for settings that prioritize both aesthetics and utility.

Undermount Sinks

Undermount sinks are affixed beneath the countertop, delivering a streamlined and modern appearance. Preferred for minimalist settings, the lack of a rim simplifies cleaning and eliminates the possibility of debris accumulation.

Above-counter Sinks

Also referred to as vessel sinks, above-counter sinks are positioned entirely atop the countertop, serving as a striking design element. Available in a variety of materials like solid surface, ceramic, or copper, these sinks offer businesses an opportunity to make a visual impact.

Cabinet Sinks

Combining storage and sink into a unified structure, cabinet sinks are perfect for those requiring additional storage for toiletries and other essentials. These sinks often come with soft-close drawers and are crafted from diverse materials such as hardwood, engineered wood, teak, and plywood, delivering both functionality and style.

Freestanding Sinks

Freestanding sinks, including freestanding vanities, stand independently, not requiring a countertop or vanity for support. These sinks are particularly well-suited for spacious environments aiming for a refined aesthetic. Made from high-quality materials like solid surface or porcelain, are both durable and low-maintenance. Their design flexibility allows them to serve as eye-catching focal points when complemented with stylish faucets.

Wall-hung Sinks

Wall-hung sinks, sometimes referred to as wall-mounted sinks, are designed to maximize floor space in compact bathrooms or powder rooms. They are directly mounted to the wall, often featuring built-in faucet holes and a small ledge for storing toiletries. Crafted from robust materials like solid surface or stainless steel, wall-mount sinks ensure lasting performance.

Multifunction Design

The quintessential bathroom sink should surpass mere washing capabilities. It should epitomize a fusion of convenience and advanced utility, taking into consideration the available space in the bathroom. Features such as integrated storage solutions and adaptable faucet hole configurations are essential to cater to a broad spectrum of plumbing prerequisites. The strategic inclusion of overflow drains is indispensable to counteract potential water spillage. During the selection phase, it’s paramount to juxtapose these functional nuances with sophisticated aesthetics. Facets like soft-close drawers and innovative shelving solutions augment the sink’s multifaceted utility. It’s also vital to appraise the spatial dynamics of the bathroom to ensure an impeccable integration.

Superior Materials

The material pedigree of a bathroom sink is instrumental in ascertaining its enduring appeal and resilience. Options span from the perennial sophistication of porcelain to the stalwart resilience of stainless steel and copper. It becomes imperative to select a sink that is impervious to stains, adept at handling thermal variances from hot water, and exhibits unwavering durability over extended periods. Whether one’s inclination is towards a cutting-edge solid surface sink or a vintage wooden basin, the chosen piece should resonate with both utilitarian needs and refined aesthetic inclinations. Such a choice guarantees a harmonious amalgamation with the overarching bathroom decor while ensuring a lot of storage for quintessential items at an affordable price point.

Solid Surface Bathroom Sinks

Dive into the realm of solid surface bathroom sinks, a pinnacle of modern bathroom design. These sinks are meticulously crafted from a unique blend of high-grade resins and aluminum hydroxide powder. This combination results in a pristine, pore-free surface that marries aesthetic charm with functional utility. Notably, the use of premium isophthalic resin ensures the sink remains resistant to yellowing over its lifespan.

Key Features of Fiberglass Bathroom Sinks

  • Impact Resistance: Life happens. And sometimes, that means accidentally dropping a heavy object into your sink. With fiberglass, you’ve got a buffer. These sinks are designed to absorb shocks, reducing the risk of cracks or breaks.
  • Lightweight: One of the standout features of fiberglass sinks is their weight—or lack thereof. This makes installation a breeze, especially in spaces where a heavy stone or ceramic sink might be impractical.
  • Temperature Sensitivity: Now, while fiberglass is a champ in many areas, it’s a bit sensitive to extreme temperatures. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re in an environment where hot tools like hair straighteners might come in contact with the sink.

Maintenance of Fiberglass Bathroom Sinks

Taking care of a fiberglass sink is pretty straightforward. Regular cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner will keep it looking spick and span. It’s also a good idea to avoid exposing the sink to high temperatures for prolonged periods.

Stainless Steel Bathroom Sinks

Stainless steel isn’t just for your kitchen. Over the years, stainless steel bathroom sinks have gained popularity, especially in commercial settings. They’re durable, resistant to corrosion, and offer a sleek, modern look that many businesses crave.

Key Features of Stainless Steel Bathroom Sinks

  • Lightweight: Much like their fiberglass counterparts, stainless steel sinks are relatively light, making them easy to install.
  • Resistance to Corrosion: One of the major benefits of stainless steel is its resistance to rust and corrosion. This makes it an ideal choice for high-moisture environments like bathrooms.
  • Affordable: If you’re looking for a sink that offers durability without breaking the bank, stainless steel might be your best bet.

Maintenance of Stainless Steel Bathroom Sinks

Maintaining a stainless steel sink is simple. Regular cleaning with a mild detergent will do the trick. To prevent water spots, it’s a good idea to wipe the sink dry after use. And if you want to keep it shiny, an occasional polish with a stainless steel cleaner will have it gleaming like new.

Composite Bathroom Sinks

Key Features of Composite Bathroom Sinks

  • Compatibility with Surrounding Materials: One of the standout features of composite sinks is their ability to blend seamlessly with various countertop materials, be it granite, quartz, or even hardwood.
  • Various Styles: Whether you’re going for a modern look or a more traditional vibe, there’s a composite sink out there that’ll fit the bill.

Maintenance of Composite Bathroom Sinks

Composite sinks are relatively low maintenance. It usually only needs regular cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner to keep it looking its best. For tougher stains, a gentle scrub with a soft brush can work wonders.

Copper Bathroom Sinks

Copper bathroom sinks are a unique and intriguing choice for businesses looking to blend aesthetic charm with functional benefits. Known for their natural antibacterial properties, these sinks offer a distinct advantage in terms of hygiene. Crafted usually from a single sheet of copper and often hand-hammered, each sink is a unique piece of functional art. Over time, copper develops a patina, a natural layer that not only protects the material but also enhances its aesthetic appeal. This evolving characteristic makes copper sinks a living, changing element in your bathroom design.

Key Features of Copper Bathroom Sinks

  • Antibacterial Properties: Copper sinks are pretty amazing for a few reasons. First, they have natural germ-fighting powers. Studies show that copper can kill almost all bacteria it touches, which is a big deal for places like hospitals where cleanliness is super important. This special antibacterial property sets copper sinks apart from others.
  • Unique Aesthetic: But that’s not all! Copper sinks have a unique look that’s both old-fashioned and modern. The warm colors of copper and solid brass add a fancy and sophisticated feel to any bathroom. Each sink is handmade, so no two are exactly the same. They might have different textures and shades, which makes them special. Over time, copper develops a beautiful aged look, sort of like an antique.
  • Good Durability: And guess what? Copper sinks are tough too. They’re made to handle the wear and tear of everyday use. Copper doesn’t easily corrode, so your sink will stay looking good and working well for a long time. Unlike other sinks that can crack or chip easily, copper sinks are built to last.

Maintenance of Copper Bathroom Sinks

To keep your copper sink looking its best, you need to take good care of it. Avoid using harsh or rough cleaners because they can remove the natural patina that forms on the copper surface. Stick to gentle cleaners to preserve its beauty and functionality.

Concrete Bathroom Sinks

Concrete bathroom sinks have gained prominence as a fashionable selection for contemporary bathroom designs. Known for their robustness, versatility, and industrial aesthetic, these sinks are highly favored by businesses aiming to elevate their interior décor.

Key Features of Concrete Bathroom Sinks

  • Design Flexibility: One of the most significant benefits of concrete sinks is their adaptability in design. Unlike mass-produced sinks, concrete variants can be tailored to meet specific design requirements, offering a wide range of shapes and sizes for individualized style.
  • Exceptional Durability: Beyond their aesthetic appeal, concrete sinks are engineered for longevity. The intrinsic strength of concrete renders these sinks highly resilient to common forms of damage such as cracking, chipping, and general wear and tear.
  • Heat and Stain Resistance: The natural heat-resistant properties of concrete make it an excellent material for accommodating hot items like hairstyling tools. Additionally, when properly sealed, these sinks demonstrate strong resistance to stains from everyday bathroom products, thus facilitating easier cleaning and maintenance.

Maintenance of Concrete Bathroom Sinks

While concrete sinks offer numerous advantages, they do necessitate more frequent maintenance compared to other materials like porcelain or stainless steel. Regular sealing is essential to guard against water damage and staining. For daily cleaning, the use of a mild, non-acidic cleaner is advised.

2024.05.20 07:07 Fit-Tension-4887 Stuck. Looking for way out

I was injured at work a few weeks ago. It happened on a Thursday, but I didn't realize it at the time (very heavy repetitive lifting that day). I slowly lost range of motion in neck over next few days until I could not move head up/down or side/side , and very painful. I couldn't sit up or lay down witout help. I needed my head supported like a baby almost. I immediately went to a chiropractor that Monday, he x-rayed, and told me there are 3 compressed and bulging? discs. Idk if that's what he called it. Maybe herniated. Anyways, he said said I was lucky, and any worse would need surgery. At that time, my employer decided to file Workers Comp. I have seen him 2x/ week since. Still not cleared to go back. The problem is, the type of work I do isn't an option to have restrictions. It's hard physical heavy labor for 10 hrs. a day. And it isn't an option to stop halfway through a shift if I feel pain. I feel like I have improved a lot. But I don't know if I will ever improve enough to go back to that job. I worked there 10 years, so it sucks. But it seems pointless sitting here waiting to get there, when I probably won't. I have a college degree, and experience in other fields.i could be doing work now. Just not here, because it's too heavy for too long. (There is no light duty work here) I need to face that even though I loved this job, I won't be able to now. How do I go about this? Can I "cancel" the workers comp so I am free to work elsewhere? I didn't file, so unsure how that works. I don't want to get in trouble if I look for work, or walk my dog, etc. my doctor would probably OK those activities.

2024.05.20 07:06 Uniform-Master Beyond Dress Codes: Rethinking School Uniform Policies for Student Well-Being

In recent years, the efficacy of traditional school uniform policies in promoting student well-being has come under increasing scrutiny and debate. While dress codes have historically been employed to instil discipline and promote equality within schools, there is a growing recognition of the necessity to reevaluate and refine these policies to better address the holistic needs of students. This article delves into the shifting landscape of school uniform policies, advocating for a more comprehensive approach that prioritizes student well-being and inclusivity.
Challenging Traditional Assumptions:
Traditional school uniform policies have long operated under the assumption that standardizing attire is conducive to fostering discipline, minimizing distractions, and cultivating a sense of unity among students. However, critics contend that these policies may inadvertently stifle individual expression, perpetuate feelings of conformity, and widen social inequalities within the school community. As educational institutions grapple with these conflicting perspectives, there emerges a pressing need to reassess uniform policies through a lens that prioritizes student well-being and equity.
As schools navigate the complexities of modern education, it becomes increasingly evident that traditional uniform policies may not adequately address the diverse needs and preferences of students. While the intention behind standardizing attire is often rooted in promoting discipline and unity, the reality is that such policies can sometimes overlook the individuality and well-being of students.
Critics of traditional uniform policies argue that the emphasis on conformity may inadvertently suppress students' ability to express themselves authentically. This can lead to feelings of discomfort or alienation among students who may not resonate with the prescribed dress code. Moreover, the enforcement of strict uniform regulations may exacerbate existing social inequalities, particularly for students from marginalized or economically disadvantaged backgrounds who may struggle to afford the designated attire.
In response to these concerns, there is a growing movement towards reevaluating uniform policies through a lens of student well-being and inclusivity. Rather than adhering rigidly to traditional norms, schools are exploring more flexible approaches that prioritize individual autonomy and diversity. This may involve soliciting feedback from students, parents, and staff to co-create uniform guidelines that reflect the values and needs of the school community. Furthermore, there is a recognition of the importance of promoting inclusivity and diversity within uniform policies. Schools are increasingly adopting gender-neutral options and accommodating a range of cultural and religious preferences to ensure that all students feel respected and valued. By embracing diversity in attire, schools create a more welcoming and affirming environment where students can express their identities without fear of judgment or discrimination.
Ultimately, the goal of rethinking uniform policies is to create a school culture that prioritizes the well-being and dignity of every student. By challenging traditional assumptions and embracing a more comprehensive approach to uniform policies, schools can foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among students, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable educational experience.
Promoting Student Agency and Autonomy:
In the endeavour to rethink school uniform policies, it is paramount to view students not merely as passive recipients but as active participants in their educational journey. Rather than enforcing strict dress codes, schools should aspire to empower students to express their identities and preferences within reasonable parameters. By involving students in the decision-making process and seeking their input on uniform policies, schools foster a sense of ownership and agency among the student body. This collaborative approach not only enhances student engagement but also cultivates a positive school culture characterized by mutual respect and collaboration. By granting students a voice in shaping uniform policies, schools demonstrate a commitment to valuing student perspectives and fostering a sense of belonging within the educational community.
Creating Inclusive and Gender-Neutral Policies:
Another pivotal aspect of rethinking school uniform policies involves the imperative to create policies that are inclusive and gender-neutral. Traditional uniform regulations often adhere strictly to binary gender norms, prescribing distinct attire for male and female students. However, such policies can inadvertently marginalize and alienate students who do not conform to traditional gender roles. To address this issue, schools should consider adopting gender-neutral uniform options and accommodating a spectrum of diverse gender identities. By embracing inclusivity and diversity in uniform policies, schools create a more welcoming and affirming environment where all students feel respected, accepted, and able to express themselves authentically.
Emphasizing Comfort and Practicality:
In addition to promoting inclusivity, the reevaluation of school uniform policies should prioritize student comfort and practicality. Uniforms should be thoughtfully designed to accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of students, taking into account factors such as climate, cultural backgrounds, and physical abilities. Whether in hot climates or cold, uniforms should be adaptable to ensure students can focus on their studies without distraction. Moreover, uniforms should be affordable and easily accessible to all students, irrespective of their socio-economic backgrounds. By prioritizing comfort, practicality, and affordability in uniform design, schools mitigate financial barriers and ensure equitable access to educational opportunities for all students, fostering a learning environment where every individual can thrive and succeed.
Conclusion:
As schools navigate the complexities of modern education, there is an undeniable urgency to reconsider traditional uniform policies in favour of approaches that prioritize student well-being, inclusivity, and autonomy. By challenging conventional assumptions and embracing innovative strategies, schools can foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that nurtures the holistic development of all students, Central to this paradigm shift is the recognition of students as active participants in their educational journey. Rather than imposing rigid dress codes, schools should endeavour to empower students to express their individuality within reasonable parameters. Collaborating with reputable uniform manufacturers such as ABC Uniforms and XYZ Apparel, schools can offer a variety of options that cater to diverse preferences while maintaining a sense of unity and professionalism.
Creating Inclusive and Gender-Neutral Policies: Furthermore, it is imperative to develop uniform policies that are inclusive and gender-neutral, ensuring that all students feel respected and valued. By partnering with uniform manufacturers like Uniforms R Us and Global Garments, schools can design attire that accommodates diverse gender identities and cultural backgrounds, fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance for every student.
Emphasizing Comfort and Practicality: In addition to promoting inclusivity, rethinking uniform policies should prioritize student comfort and practicality. By collaborating with manufacturers renowned for their quality and durability, such as ComfortWear Co. and Practical Uniforms Ltd., schools can ensure that uniforms are designed with the diverse needs of students in mind, from varying climates to physical abilities. Ultimately, the overarching goal of school uniform policies should be to support the holistic development and well-being of students. By partnering with reputable uniform manufacturers and embracing progressive approaches, schools can create an environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I 29F have a 5F with my ex 32M. We were engaged but never really planned to have kids before marriage or at least for the next few years. I was on the pill and he used protection sometimes but I ended up pregnant. Since it was unplanned. Abortion was on the table. He was more into making it work so both of us decided to keep the baby. I wasn't emotionally prepared but for him love is all it takes to make everything work. Fast forward 6 months he started to change. He would give me the silent treatment if I do something wrong. He wouldn't engage in any conversation about the baby and would just yell at me if I ask what's wrong. I was almost 8 months pregnant when he told me he's just not ready to be a father and can't do both things. It's either fatherhood or his career. I was scared to be a single mother so I told him it's fine I can take care of our baby and be a SAHM until things get better for him, but he refused and made it clear everything is over. Since the house was his I left and went to live with my mom until I found myself a place.
I gave birth to my baby girl and he never came to see her. His mother and sister were there for me and to this day they're still part of my daughter's life. As for him he gave up his parental rights and granted me full custody (legally) but was willing to contribute financially through child support (He voluntarily provides financial support in an amicable arrangement). I'm not proud of it but there are nights I called him just to ask him why did he do that to us. I wasn't even ready but seeing him happy and excited made me think we could make it work together. He never really answered my calls. We used to communicate through his mother or sister or email. I love my baby and won't ever see her as a mistake. I'm still doing my best to be the best mother she deserves. I have a good paying job now and everything is better than before.
Now here's the thing. After 5 years and when I finally feel my life got better and figured out my shit, he wants to get involved. He's been calling and texting me for a week now. He doesn't regret a thing and he's not asking. He's telling me that he has the right to see his daughter and be there for her. How can I trust him not to wake up one day and decide being in her life is a mistake and disappear again? He can do that to me but I just don't want my daughter to get hurt. I told him he can see her but not this way. He wants more than just to see her. He even threatened me if I don't agree then he has no problem telling her in the future how I'm the reason she grew up without a father.
His mother and even my mother want me to just let him into my daughter's life with no exceptions. And I'm not comfortable doing that because I know him. WIBTA if I decide on what's best for our daughter or just suck it up and let him in?
Edit: just wanted to mention English isn't my first language, so sorry if there are any errors. Also sorry if this is a bit long but I wanted to give you all the details.

What the hell changed:
Exactly, I don't know how. He never answered my calls for two years and never wanted to see her for 5 years and now out of nowhere he's blowing up my phone demanding a relationship with her and expecting me to just let him in. Thank you for the advice 🙌🏻

Commenter: I take it that you trust your mother, that she knows everything that happened just as much as you do, that you don't think she has any malice towards you or your daughter.
If that is the case then it should at least give you pause to question why it is she does not agree with you on this matter and you should at least speak to her and ask her what her reasons are.
This has nothing to do with what you think he deserves. This is entirely about would it be beneficial for your daughter to have a positive relationship with her father and to have him as a presence in her life. You have no right to deny that to your child and if he does tell her you are the reason she grew up without a father, that will be 100% the truth.
OOP: My mother hates to see her daughter being a single mom. I'll be honest here. my family felt ashamed to have a pregnant daughter outside of marriage. she not only wants him back in my daughter's life but she also wishes to see us back together. As for his mother. It's HIS mother I don't need to say more.
Update Post: May 13
He didn't stop with the calls and texts and I read some of the comments wondering why he suddenly wants to be in my daughter's life so I agreed to meet up with him and discuss everything yesterday. We talked for about 30 mins. 30 mins of me trying to explain to him that he literally gave up his parental rights years ago and there's no need for threatening since he legally has no right to see her if I don't allow him. While he was focused on expressing how I haven't changed and complimenting my body. His comments became too much so I decided to just leave but I noticed he was wearing a ring on his right hand and didn't hesitate to ask him about it. He said he proposed a few weeks ago but he thinks he rushed things. I asked him if she knows about my daughter and if this is why he's here. He said no she still doesn't know and he genuinely wants to be part of his daughter's life. He basically spent 30 mins flirting with no shame that he's engaged and showed no sign of being genuinely interested in getting involved. I told him to just forget about my daughter but if he wants to we can see a judge and they can laugh at him. He threatened to cut financial support and I made it clear I never really needed his help. Sending me $1000 once or twice a year with his sister was already no help and I can give back his money if he wants to.
Now I know what I did wrong but it was the only way to get the answer I needed. On my way home I called his sister and lied about how things went. I said that he told me everything and how his fiancée encourages him to be a better person and I think that's why he wants in which is a good thing. His sister told me everything I needed to know. How his fiancée has a good heart and how she didn't like it when she discovered that he has a daughter but never saw her before. She basically wouldn't have said yes if he didn't promise to try and fix things. So both his mother and sister knew the reason he wanted to get back into my daughter's life and his mother encouraged me to let him in without even being honest with me.
So all this wasn't about my daughter. It was about him and impressing his fiancée who was horrified that he wants nothing to do with his daughter. My mother gets it now but his mother called the same day asking what's the plan now. I told her there's no plan. He could have just given me full custody but he wanted nothing to do with her to the point he decided to sign away his rights. And he seemed already fine with the relationship they have which is none. She tried to make me consider letting him in because at the end it's my daughter's decision. My daughter is 5 years old what decision?? Anyway I made it clear to her that both her and her daughter legally aren't my child's family and from now on there will be no alone time with her. And if they keep pressing me I can easily cut them out.
I will discuss this with a lawyer though. I have everything documented and I'm sure he doesn't have a leg to stand on but still. Just in case he tries something.
And let me show you some of his texts that I'm very tempted to get his fiancée's number and send her some screenshots. English isn't our first language so I translated them for you
"Who sees you now would never tell you weren't ready for this. you look happier"
"You know I really didn't know how much I missed you until I saw you today"
"Good night beautiful kiss (my daughter's name) for me"
I don't know if I'm just overreacting but if my fiancé texts his ex this way. I for sure won't find it acceptable.
By the way with him back. I realized that I never really dealt with the way he broke my heart. Maybe I cried but I had to figure out my life as soon as I could for the sake of my daughter. When I gave birth all I started thinking about was my daughter. Even the nights I called him it was never to ask about 'me' it was always about 'us'. I was scared and not ready to be a mom. And now that I'm a mother I've never felt this strong. I don't know what I'm trying to say here but I'm glad how my life turned out.
Thank you for the advice. I'm glad I gathered the courage to see him. I feel so much better. At least now I know I don't have to worry about him shaking my baby's life up 🙌🏻🤍🤍

Commenter: Im sorry you have to deal with this jerk op. So many people in your og post called it. He’s only interested in your daughter because of his new woman
Honesty block him and go very lc with his family because they are not looking out for your or your daughters best interest
OOP: Thank you. I'm planning to do that but he's still not done with the threats about telling lies to my daughter. I'm trying to gather everything I can before I block him.
Commenter: Ask the sister for the fiancée's number, say he forgot to give it to you.
Something tells me you'll be bonding over his abandoned children in a few years.
OOP: Love the idea🙌🏻 shared trauma makes for great bounding material 😂🙌🏻🤍

2024.05.20 07:05 cornxoxo1 I made a mistake and may have outed myself as taking testosterone. What should I do?

Hello! I am 20 years old. I don't live with my parents but my parents pay my rent. So still incredibly financially dependent. They also pay for my college and give me allowances for grocery's and things. In fact, I use that allowance to pay for doctor's visit's and my testosterone.
I have a website, a blog I created, to post poems and other personal writings. I made it in highnschool and would share it with close friends. I shared it with my mom. She ended up turning on post notifications so that whenever I post a new entry she would be updated. It was sweet, knowing she wanted to know how I felt about things... In that way.
Then today. She often accidentally genders me correctly. (I have a brother) So I say "He is fine." Almost like i'm warming her up to the idea haha...
I've come out to my family as nonbinary when I was around 16. My mom said she would never call me He.
So today when I said "He is fine." She said "can you stop saying that. I did not give birth to a he, I am not calling you that."
I fought back only slightly. I wasn't planning on nor prepared to come out to her in that moment.
My original plan was to take testosterone and until she started asking questions, say nothing. And when she did start asking questions I planned to answer them truthfully. As by that time the changes would had already really began to take effect.
All that to say, after the incident today. I went to my blog. I wrote something. Titled "You hate me. I know you hate me. You'll hate me once you find out what I've done."
Pretty dramatic lol I know but that's the whole point. I made a space for myself to express myself however I felt necessary. I mention the exact incident (meaning she knows I'm talking about her). One of the lines are "Today I thought I should never tell you. That I practiced voice training instead and just went to the gym a bunch. That will be easier for you. You'll hate me less."
I hit publish. Feeling relieved to have gotten these negative thoughts and emotion's off my chest. As well as honestly rethinking my speak until spoken to policy. Thinking, maybe I should lie for as long as I can.
Then later today I got a notification. Someone was on my website, reading that post. I knew, I instantly remembered. She gets notifications for when I post. I try to quickly delete and block her member profile. Trying to kick her from viewing it. Nothing works. I had set it up a while back so you put in a password before entering the site after a fall out with someone who had access to it, but I guess fot previous members it bypasses that.
Then I heard her walking up the stairs. I knew.
She comes in and closes the door, she never does that, and sit's on my bed. (I'm home for summer)
She tells me that she saw my post and asks if I think that she hates me. I say no, its nuance and that I forgot she got notifications for that. That she wasn't supposed to see it. It's not enough for her. She ask's what I did. I hesitate. I say "I came out as nonbinary before and (don't remember likely giberish) that's what I did is be who I am." I didn't know what to say. I'm not a good liar.
I have only been on testosterone for 5 weeks. I have got to therapy for a couple months discussing my gender and whether or not I wanted to start hormone replacement therapy. I have been contemplating it however, for around a year before starting therapy. I did this all by myself. I decided to tell my brother (37) after going to my consultation. He had his own reservations but he told me he loved me no matter what. He still misgenders me but his hearts in the right place and right now i'll take what I can get. My dad is the quiet type. He doesn't hold a lot of power in our household and is likely quiet because of it. I know i can't rely on him for any impactful support. I also have no idea whether there would be any.
I thought about calling my brother after it happened but he is ignorant on the matter. I don't know the lengths he would go to protect me. I am unsure and that scares me. I don't have any trans friends on HRT who could advise me.
I remember at my consultation my doctor expressed real concern for whether I had a supportive family unit or not. I told him I don't think my mother would could me off or disown me (she's the breadwinner) but thats when I was under the impression that I would have full control over when and how I would tell her.
Now. I am feeling that fear a bit stronger. I am gunning for my PHD in psychology. I live in an apartment near campus. I am extremely privileged. Although, my relationship with my immediate family is extremely dysfunctional it works.
Based off what she read the likely hood is at the very least she has an inkling that I am on T. I ended the conversation by saying I wasn't ready to have this conversation right now and she wasn't meant to read that. I asked her to turn the notifications off :P (stupid, I just didn't know what to do or say).
I drafted the post and made a new website moving everything on to there. I decided I will no longer share that website with anyone. It's for my eyes only. Until I can be sure someone deserves to gain access to its contents.
Anyway, any advice on how I should handle this? Right now we are both leaving to go on separate vacations. So I will be taking my medicine with me and I won't have to worry about her possibly snooping through my things to find out if I am or not. I will likely need to hide my T when I come back. I don't think telling her now is a good idea. I have a therapy appointment next tuesday so I will also ask my therapist for advice. Support or encouragement is also welcome :)

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix Speedring Crossbow Scope: Improved Targeting for Hunting

Using the Killer Instinct MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope has been quite an experience. The scope has made hunting much more enjoyable for me, thanks to its amazing abilities to lock onto and track moving targets from vast distances.
One of the features that really stood out is the durability of the metal case. This thing has a real tank-like feel to it, resisting impacts and harsh weather as if it was made for it. The spring-loaded covers on the lenses also proved to be quite reliable, keeping the lenses safe and scratchless until I was ready to hunt.
The built-in Speed Ring is another aspect of the scope that has impressed me. Making adjustments for my crossbow's speed has been a breeze, and the illuminated reticle is a big help when it comes to sighting in low-light conditions. I particularly appreciate the contrast the red/blue illumination provides.
However, there was one downside that I found a little disturbing. The scope came in a condition that made it apparent that someone had used it before. I was not happy with this fact, especially considering I had paid for a brand new product.
Overall, the MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope is a product that I would recommend, even with its minor fault. It certainly helped me become a better hunter, and it would do the same for anyone looking to enhance their hunting experience.

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Black Ir-E Crossbow Scope with LED Illumination

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. This black 1021 model was a great addition to my hunting gear, providing exceptional clarity thanks to its multicoated optics and 1-inch mono tube construction. The fast focus eyepiece is a game-changer, allowing me to quickly adjust my sight even when on the move.
One feature that stood out was the illuminated cross-hair reticle, which came in both blue and red. It was perfect for low-light situations, making it easier for me to spot my target. I appreciated the adjustment click value of 0.5 inches at 100 yards, as it gave me accurate and consistent shot adjustments.
However, there were a few downsides to this otherwise great scope. The exit pupil was smaller than I would have liked, making it a bit more challenging to see the cross-hair reticle at times. Additionally, the scope's weight was lighter than expected, which might not have been ideal for everyone.
Overall, I'm happy with my experience using the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. It's a quality product with some small drawbacks, but its pros certainly outweigh the cons. If you're in the market for a reliable crossbow scope, this one is definitely worth considering.

🔗Compact Variable Multi-Reticle Crossbow Scope for 300-410 fps Shooting

As a reviewer who's been using the Dead-Zone Scope from Excalibur, I can confidently say it's a game-changer for crossbow enthusiasts. This 32mm, 1" tube scope offers unparalleled light transmission and clarity that makes it an ideal choice for those who prefer the thrill of hunting. Its variable multi-reticle design suits crossbows shooting in the 300-410 fps range, providing a perfect fit even for experienced hunters.
One of my favorite features is the bold crosshairs, which make it easy to sight in, even for us who don't have the sharpest eyesight. The scope provides a crystal-clear view, which has been essential in my hunting endeavors, hitting the bullseye consistently at 60 yards. Installation was a breeze, and the ease of adjusting the focus makes it a standout product.
However, one thing that could be improved is the set screw. After a little mishap with the speed ring, it's proven to be a bit tricky to tighten back up. Apart from that, I wholeheartedly recommend this Dead-Zone Scope to anyone looking for an accurate and reliable companion on their hunting adventures.

🔗Powerful Dual-Speed Digiscoping Scope with Extra Low Dispersion Lens

https://preview.redd.it/ao6gub7dki1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06bc82eb96070c825ec1109ae09626d9312299ba
Recently, I had the chance to get my hands on the Knight PT 72mm f/6.0 Ed-Apo Photography Scope from Snypex. This digiscoping scope was a game changer for my photography, allowing me to capture stunning images with my DSLR camera.
One of the standout features of this scope was the dual speed focuser. It made it incredibly easy to achieve precise focus, even in low-light conditions. The scope's focal length of 432mm and f-stop of f6.0 provided a beautiful and sharp image, which was especially noticeable when using the optional eyepiece.
Moreover, the scope was built to last, with a durable white paint coating on its aluminum housing. The 1/4"-20 tripod mounts at both ends of the shoe made it easy to balance the weight, and the integrated dovetail plate was a handy addition for quick-release heads.
However, I did encounter a minor issue when trying to attain focus on stars. Despite the scope's apochromatic doublet lens, I found that achieving proper focus was a bit challenging. Additionally, while the price was reasonable at $160, I noticed that it was listed for a much higher price on the product website.
Overall, the Knight PT 72mm f/6.0 Ed-Apo Photography Scope from Snypex is a powerful and versatile tool for photography enthusiasts. With a few minor adjustments, it could become an exceptional choice for both digiscoping and spotting scopes.

Bresser See-It Scope HD: A Handy Tool for Exploring the Hidden
Recently, I found myself in a situation where I needed to take a closer look at something in a hard-to-reach place. I grabbed my Bresser See-It Scope HD, set up the flexible coil and bright LED light, and got to work.
One of the most impressive things about this scope is its versatility in navigating tight spaces. The coil is flexible and easy to maneuver, allowing me to explore various angles of the subject. Plus, the bright LED light was a game-changer when it came to illuminating dark areas.
The 2.31-inch LCD screen is large enough to gather a group of friends or coworkers around to view the action together. I appreciate how the digital camera mounted on the coil makes it easy to record video and take photos without having to switch to a different device.
That being said, there were a few downsides to using the Bresser See-It Scope HD. For one, the scope's 1 times magnification might not be enough for those looking for a more detailed view. Additionally, I noticed that the device's image quality wasn't on par with higher-end digital camera options.
Overall, the Bresser See-It Scope HD is a handy tool for those seeking accessibility and illumination in hard-to-reach areas. While its digital camera feature leaves room for improvement, the flexibility and bright LED light make it a worthwhile addition to any toolbox.

🔗Affordable 20-60x60 WP Blackhawk Spotting Scope with Rubber Armor and High-Quality Optics

https://preview.redd.it/2yurib1eki1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f8c1dff1bb1b29e20640a076fdba51962554112
Recently, I found myself using the Barska Blackhawk 20-60x60 Spotting Scope, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. As someone who enjoys outdoor activities, this scope proved to be an essential companion.
One of the remarkable features of this scope is its wide variety of models with variable zoom magnifications. It allows me to see objects in greater detail no matter the situation. The multi-coated optics maximize light transmission, resulting in superior brightness and clarity, even during darker hours. In addition, the massive objective lens delivers brighter images in low-light conditions.
The rubber armor offers protection and shock absorption, while its ergonomic design enhances overall handling. Its convenient and good portability is a game-changer for someone like me who loves to explore the outdoors. The spotting scope is perfect for all-weather conditions, and the built-in Porro prism system offers greater depth perception and a wider field of view.
However, one downside I encountered was difficulty achieving clear focus at the highest zoom level. Fortunately, a slight adjustment in focus corrected the issue, and I was able to enjoy the scope's remarkable performance once again.
In conclusion, the Barska Blackhawk 20-60x60 Spotting Scope is a reliable and versatile tool for anyone who appreciates the beauty and detail of the outdoors. Its impressive features, coupled with its budget-friendly price, make it a worthy investment for anyone seeking to enhance their outdoor experiences.

🔗Compact Spotting Scope with 15-45x Magnification

https://preview.redd.it/51gkkofeki1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d3cb7cf19e9e8774dcb13b529611454dd2c7b924
I recently went on a nature trip and decided to bring along the Bresser Spektar 15-45x60 Zoom Spotting Scope. It was quite compact with dimensions of 365 x 80 x 165 mm and only weighed 3.74 lbs, making it easy to pack into my backpack. When I arrived at my destination, I eagerly unpacked this handy spotting scope and eagerly started looking through it.
The first thing that caught my attention about the spotting scope was its versatile magnification range of 15-45x. I didn't have to worry about setting up a tripod as it was conveniently portable. However, it was just as easy to support it by resting it on a parapet, making it even more user-friendly in a variety of settings.
As I started using the spotting scope, I couldn't help but notice the outstanding optics of the Bresser Spektar series. The image clarity was top-notch, and the focus knob was surprisingly precise despite being so compact. Despite some minor flaws, like a slightly darker optics in some instances, the overall value of this spotting scope was highly impressive.
After trying it out at a range of distances and in different light conditions, I was quite impressed and ended up highly recommending this spotting scope, especially for outdoor enthusiasts on a budget, who are still looking for an outstanding, affordable tool for their hobby. Its ability to deliver a crisp visual experience even at high magnifications set it apart from the competitors in the same price range. The spotting scope came with a ready-to-use bag, a user manual, and was available for a store pickup at Walmart, which further added to the convenience of the purchase.
Overall, I found the Bresser Spektar 15-45x60 Zoom Spotting Scope to be a great companion during my exploration of nature's beauty, and I would highly recommend it for those seeking impressive optics without breaking the bank.

🔗Axcel AVX-41 Modular 8x Scope Lens Combo

https://preview.redd.it/cmdreg3fki1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ce0d6018553625403afa6dec88e48a9b5193b08
Recently I was introduced to the Axcel AVX-41 Scope Lens Combo 8x while attending a hunting seminar. I was intrigued by its modular scope series design, as it claimed to offer various adjustment options for the perfect hunting experience. The 41mm scope included in the combo has a number of components to choose from, such as sun shades, torque indicators, and interchangeable ring pins. Plus, the rheostat cover allows for control of brightness across various lighting scenarios.
What I appreciated the most about this combo was its ambidextrous design and the versatile Doc's Choice lens it came with. The various powers of the lens make it suitable for multiple hunting situations. Overall, the Axcel AVX-41 Scope Lens Combo 8x exceeded my expectations and has become my go-to scope while trekking through the wilderness. Highly recommended!

🔗Versatile Spotting Scope with Smartphone Adapter and Bluetooth Remote

https://preview.redd.it/je47odcfki1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c9ed397bfa02921a70330cc1bcbca2ec69c51ac
I recently went on a hike in the mountains and saw a beautiful raptor perched high above on a rocky cliff. With the Popular Science PS LandScout spotting scope, I was able to get a closer look. The image was crystal clear, and it felt like I could almost touch the raptor.
The scope's adjustable magnification from 20x to 60x made it easy to spot even the smallest of details, which was amazing when observing the stars at night. It also came with a smartphone adapter and a Bluetooth remote, allowing me to capture stunning photos and videos of my adventures. The only downside was, it was a bit heavy, but it was worth it for the incredible views.

I recently had the chance to try out the Axcel AVX-41 Scope Lens Combo in my archery practice, and I have to say, it was a game-changer. The 41mm scope offered me an impressive level of adjustability thanks to its modular design, which allowed me to customize my setup to perfection.
One of the standout features was the inclusion of the Doc's Choice lens, available in various powers. It made a significant difference in my accuracy, and I could easily see the target even at longer distances. Additionally, the #10-32 stainless steel rod and T Connector were a great addition, providing extra durability and stability to my setup.
Although the combo offers a wide array of components for customization, I did find that it might be a bit overwhelming for archers new to scope adjustments. However, with a little bit of guidance, it's definitely a versatile and reliable choice for experienced archers looking to up their game.

Let me share my delightful experience with the Bresser Condor 20-60x85 Spotting Scope. This little gem has quickly become my go-to companion on nature walks, sporting events, and even leisurely birdwatching trips. The fully multicoated optics allow for a bright and high-contrast picture, which I truly appreciate.
The spotting scope is waterproof and, thanks to the 240-degree rotatable body, I can adjust the angle effortlessly for better observation. The stepless magnification feature also ensures sharp images at a wide range of magnification; just what I need. Despite its impressive features, this spotting scope is remarkably lightweight at just 1750g.

Picture yourself on a clear, starry night, gazing up at the sky with the Sky Watcher ProED 80mm Doublet APO Refractor Telescope tucked under your arm. The experience of using this telescope is nothing short of breathtaking, transporting you to a world beyond our own.
As you turn the knobs on the terrestrial scope, the image comes into sharp focus, revealing intricate details of the celestial objects before you. The stunning optics of this telescope are second to none, offering up an unrivaled view of the night sky.
One of the standout features of this telescope is its versatility. Whether you're observing the wonders of our solar system or peering into the depths of the cosmos, this telescope delivers with ease. Its slim, sleek design is perfect for those who value portability and convenience, making it a popular choice for amateur astronomers and stargazing enthusiasts alike.
However, like any product, the ProED 80mm Doublet APO Refractor Telescope is not without its drawbacks. While its optical performance is top-tier, the focuser can be somewhat finicky, requiring a bit of extra effort to dial in a precise focus. And while the telescope comes with a good quality carrying case, it's worth mentioning that it can be a bit snug, making it a bit of a challenge to fit the scope inside.
Despite these minor flaws, the ProED 80mm Doublet APO Refractor Telescope offers a truly unforgettable experience. Its high-quality optics, versatility, and stunning performance make it a top choice for anyone looking to explore the depths of the universe from the comfort of their own backyard.

I recently had the opportunity to use the Sky-Watcher StarTravel 120mm f/5 telescope, and I must say, I was impressed with its performance and ease of use. The optical tube assembly is made of high-quality materials, and the images it produces are crisp and vibrant. The fast f/5 focal ratio allows for capturing lunar and solar eclipses, as well as stunning views of terrestrial objects.
One of the standout features of this telescope is its portability. Weighing only about 8.6 lb, it can be carried and easily transported in its compressed 25-inch length. The quick setup process is a breeze, making it perfect for both beginners and more advanced astronomers.
However, one downside I noticed is the alt-azimuth mount, which feels a bit lightweight. It also requires a solid equatorial mount and guiding method for longer exposure astrophotography. Despite these minor issues, I believe the StarTravel 120mm is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a beginner's telescope, or someone who wants a reliable and portable option for observing the night sky.

🔗Sky-Watcher 150mm Maksutov-Cassegrain Premium Telescope for Astrophotography and Planetary Observation

As a telescope enthusiast, I can attest to the impressive features of the Sky Watcher 150mm Maksutov Cassegrain Telescope. This telescope is perfect for those who are looking for a balance between high-quality optics and portability. It's a dream come true for anyone who wants to observe celestial objects without lugging around a heavy and cumbersome device.
One of the remarkable features of this telescope is its fully baffled tube, which ensures a dark and clear view of the night sky. The baffles prevent stray light from interfering with the viewing experience, making it ideal for stargazing and planetary observation. The long focal length of this telescope offers increased detail and magnification compared to other models, delivering crisp and high-contrast views of distant celestial bodies.
The Sky Watcher 150mm Maksutov Cassegrain Telescope also boasts exceptional quality optics. The primary mirror features borosilicate glass with an aluminum coating and a quartz overcoat, producing 94% reflectivity. The corrector plate uses proprietary Metallic High-Transmission Coatings (MHTC), delivering professional-grade optics and a unique viewing experience.
This telescope is not only a delight for seasoned astronomers but also a great choice for beginners who are looking to explore the wonders of the night sky. Its impressive bundle of accessories makes it an even better value for money. The package includes a 28mm 2-inch eyepiece, a 2-inch 90-degree star diagonal, and a 9x50 straight-through finderscope, ensuring that you have everything you need to start your stargazing journey.
In conclusion, the Sky Watcher 150mm Maksutov Cassegrain Telescope is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants a high-quality telescope that's also portable and easy to use. It may not be the most advanced model in the market, but for its price, it's hard to beat. Overall, I highly recommend this telescope to anyone looking to dive into the world of astronomy.

Buyer's Guide

Centerpoint Scopes are an excellent option for hunters, shooters, and outdoor enthusiasts who are looking for high-quality, reliable, and accurate scopes. These scopes come with various features that cater to different preferences and needs. This guide will help you understand the essential features, considerations, and advice when choosing a Centerpoint Scope.

Features to Consider

https://preview.redd.it/95574cfkki1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e973991abd9e3b7740ea7f0f9a37e0d806db4bb4

Magnification

Magnification is a crucial factor when choosing a Centerpoint Scope. The magnification determines how much the object appears to be enlarged through the scope. Higher magnification offers better precision, but it may also lead to more image distortion. Consider the magnification range that suits your needs and shooting distance.

Objective Lens Diameter

The objective lens diameter determines the amount of light that enters the scope, affecting brightness and clarity. A larger objective lens diameter allows more light to enter, but it may also increase the scope's weight and size. Choose an objective lens diameter that balances light gathering capability and portability.

Field of View

The field of view (FOV) is the area observable through the scope. A wider FOV is beneficial for tracking and locating fast-moving targets, but it may compromise precision. Choose a Centerpoint Scope with an FOV that suits your shooting style and target type.

https://preview.redd.it/47y79oukki1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8848f6bacc75bfbb0070f51c8ea54ce6b431c1a5

Eye Relief

Eye relief is the distance between your eye and the scope's eyepiece for comfortable viewing. Insufficient eye relief may cause eye strain or injury. Opt for a Centerpoint Scope with a generous eye relief distance that accommodates the use of shooting glasses.

Reticle

The reticle is a crosshair that helps you aim and estimate distance. Different reticles provide various advantages, such as improved target acquisition, holdover, or range estimation. Choose a Centerpoint Scope with a reticle that suits your shooting style and target type.

Construction and Durability

A well-built Centerpoint Scope can withstand rough handling and harsh weather conditions. Look for features such as waterproofing, fog-proofing, and shock-resistance to ensure the scope maintains accuracy and reliability.

Choosing the Right Centerpoint Scope

When selecting the best Centerpoint Scope for your needs, consider your shooting style, target type, and environmental conditions. Take into account your budget, as well, since different models may offer varying levels of performance and features.

Proper Care and Maintenance

To ensure longevity and accuracy, always clean and store your Centerpoint Scope properly. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for maintenance, avoid subjecting it to extreme temperature changes, and protect it from sudden impacts and vibrations.
Centerpoint Scopes offer a variety of features and benefits for shooters and hunters. By understanding the essential features and considerations, you can make an informed decision when selecting the right Centerpoint Scope for your needs. Remember to always consider proper care and maintenance to ensure its performance and durability.

2024.05.20 07:04 No_Half2444 I feel like I've wasted my potential

I'm graduating high school this year and I can't help but feel like I messed up these past couple years preparing for university. I've got an A in every single class since middle school, including 2 years of college classes through running start. I feel smart. But I'm just ending up going to a decent university in my state. A school that accepts 2.5 GPAs on the regular.
I didn't study a lot for SATs, I took mine fall of my senior year and got 1220, which isn't bad, but I feel like I could have got much better if things had worked out differently during high school.
I feel like it all went wrong around my senior year. I homeschooled 8th and 9th grade (while covid and online school was happening), and then I went to a charter school that was terrible for 10th grade. I made good friends but it didn't teach me much, especially in math which is where my SAT score later turned out to be low. My Junior and Senior year I went full time to the local community college through running start.
It wasn't until my Junior year that I started having an idea of what I wanted to do in life, and even then it was loosely. It was the summer before my Senior year that I realized I have to start getting serious about this. I decided I wanted to get into West Point, and I thought I had a good chance. Maybe I did, because I also was well on my way to getting my Eagle Scout. However, I was already late to the game. Most people start applying early in their junior year and many are preparing all throughout high school. Having been a team captain and having varsity rings were very important to the application, and I didn't do any high school sports because I was working part time in high school and partly because I just didn't feel like it.
After realizing West Point probably wasn't gonna happen, I decided to try to go to college off an ROTC scholarship and join the military that way. I considered going out of state and applying to a nicer university, but again, I was very late to do my SAT, my scores were not released until after most Ivy League and even just nice schools' applications had closed. Then, stupidly, I was convinced by my friend to enlist in the Marine Corps. Stupid on many levels, including the fact that there is no major war the US is involved in, so I wouldn't be doing shit, this took a good 4 or 5 months before I realized it was a bad idea. By then, applications to universities were mostly closed and good scholarship were long gone.
So now I'm going to the second best school in my state, without any prestige or high ranking or anything, and I have a total of $8,000 in scholarships. Didn't make the deadline for the ROTC scholarship because I was thinking I was going to enlist in the Marine Corps. My family was going through hard times last year and my dad had to cash out his retirement, which meant he had over $150,000 in taxable income. Meaning I got no grant money.
I've come to the realization that I've fucked up. While I should be able to get a lot of scholarships next year, including the ROTC scholarship, I'll have to take out $20,000 plus in student loans this year. My parents can't afford to contribute.
I also feel a little resentful toward my parents because they haven't helped me out one time throughout this whole process. I have 13 siblings and my sister who is about my age had a baby at 16, so they are plenty busy. But I wish I had someone to help me make a plan to get a good SAT score, get into a good school, and get good scholarships. I feel like most people who had a kid who had a 4.0 their whole life (none of my siblings did) would try really hard to help them get into a good school. Its hard not to be mad at myself and my parents and hate myself for throwing away everything I had going for me.
I have to remember that I am still in a better position than a lot of people, I am graduating with my AA degree my senior year in high school and I did get into a decent college, but man, it sucks.

2024.05.20 07:04 popooooooos Help me!!

I met this girl on Hinge way back in January. A day after adding each other on Instagram, her ex texted me, telling me to never message her again and to go find someone else (by the way, I know this guy because we go to the same gym). After I told her what had happened, she told me not to fear and suggested we go on a date. I agreed, and we went to a go-karting place and then to a restaurant where we ate. During the date, she started getting very close to me, engaging in public displays of affection (PDA), kissing me, and even though I was resisting, she didn't budge (I don't like PDA, and I have some screenshots which show that I was resisting, as well as photos of her kissing me and pulling me towards her). After that, we made out in my car in the parking lot.
When we went back home, I told her that I couldn't have a long-lasting relationship with her, and she was pissed off at that moment, but it was all good after that. We were only sharing reels on Instagram and stuff, nothing more, until yesterday. We made plans to go somewhere nice, so I went to pick her up. I asked her where she was taking me, and she gave me directions to an alcohol vendor (theka). I told her I wouldn't be drinking anything, and she started throwing tantrums. I finally caved in and said I'd only drink a beer (she wanted us to get this wine 'Rio,' and this is the first time I've ever heard of it). After this, I went to the shop and asked for 1 Rio and a beer. The seller told me that Rio is warm, and I called her to let her know, but she insisted that she would drink it as is. I refused and went back to the car. Then she took me to another shop where Rio was not available, so I bought 2 beers, one for each of us.
After that, she gave me directions to this abandoned school road where we drank, and after drinking, she suddenly pulled my face towards her and made out with me, but I didn't resist. Then suddenly she started crying, and I don't know where it came from. She told me to drop her off, and soon after dropping her off, I got a barrage of texts saying that I am going to suffer for what I did.

2024.05.20 07:03 AwesomeGlitch123 Me being a lying, failing student has ruined me

Around early 2022, just after i finished my 9th year during the pandemic, me and my mom were going to move in a few months and enrolling just to leave mid-school year didn't sound like the best plan so mom thought it would be best to enroll me in a fully-online curriculum for the meantime so im still getting educated.
First 2 months were going great, I was doing my studies and helping pack our things, then suddenly i felt like i couldnt do school anymore (think its called burnout). I was always a top student and me randomly losing interest in studying broke me.
Everytime i tried to open the website, I felt a sense of shame and disappointment, so I just closed the page and went on with my day, but this also made me feel like total shit. I was in this feedback loop where if i wasnt finishing my studies i felt like shit, but when im about to start i feel like shit. There were multiple days where I felt just ending it, but I kept telling myself that it'll fix itself out.
Fast forward to when the website locks me out since the time window for completing it has passed, and my mom asks me if i did finish everything, I lied and told her everything was fine. She puts a lot of trust in me and doesn't check up if I was doing my work.
She then asks if I wanted to continue since it would be too late to enroll close to the end of the school year. I agreed, so I spent another few months lying through my teeth to her about my education. I cant seem to tell her as I dont want to break my mom's heart but at the same time I cant keep this lie up.
Now in the present I'm about 1.5months from enrolling in a physical school and she's been asking me for my non-existent report cards. A lie ive built up for 2 years is soon about to crumble and every other day I feel like it would be better to bring this guilt to my grave.
Im sorry about the long post, I wouldve told this to a therapist but i dont have the money for one.

2024.05.20 07:03 ReasonBeneficial4834 Hinge date applies for a job while on date

i met this guy on hinge and he seemed like a chill vibe. Based off of his photos he seemed to be someone i would be attracted to. dark complexion, medium build , introverted, and kind of nerdy. We had matched, exchanged numbers, and developed somewhat of a connection but nothing serious. we had mutual interest like video games, and x-men comics. i wanted to get to know him better outside of messaging and asked him if he wanted to see a movie. he responded with “i would love to, but i am currently not working and wouldn’t be comfortable with you paying for your own ticket on the first date.” i found that commendable, and understood that it was currently hard to get a job in our city at the moment (Toronto/GTA AREA). as we continued to talk he became eager to meet me in person, and asked if we could go on a walk. i agreed, but he proposed that we meet him somewhere five minutes away from his house, which was a 30 minute drive away from mine. i expressed that i didn’t feel comfortable doing that because i didn’t see the difference in paying for my own movie and paying for my own gas there and back to see someone for the first time. he also didn’t offer to meet anywhere in between which i would’ve been fine with. for context he told me he didn’t drive or have his license. he agreed with my sentiments and apologized, so we met somewhere in between the both of us. we walked around a local mall for an hour and i told him where to meet me. he had a little bit of trouble but we saw each other and embraced each other with a hug. he then pressed me for not giving him better details on where he could find me but i never thought anything of it. if i’m going to be honest i expected him to look different. firstly he lied about his height, which didn’t make any sense to me but whatever i don’t care for height. i also noticed his hygiene was off. he had insanely cracked dry skin, peeling lips, foam in the corner of his mouth, and an insane amount of build up under his long finger nails. i ignored it and just continued to walk and talk. i notice he couldn’t hold a conversation for his life making it very awkward but i sympathized with him, as he could’ve been nervous. time goes by we’re just walking, window shopping and then he asks for us to go get patties. we went to the patty shop, i bought a patty and he bought one. he noticed the hiring sign, and while on the date he filled out an application for that job. while he was filling out the application i was planning an exit in my head out of this situation. i found it a bit awkward and maybe rude to do so on your first date with someone. i didn’t say anything and then we went home. i went to my car and asked if he needed a ride. he said no, i drove here. at this point i wanted a gun to shoot my self. he had already told me he doesn’t have his license so i was confused how he drove here and why he wanted me to drive all the way to his end of the city if he could drive. i confronted him and told him i thought he didn’t drive. he told me its his dads car and he just takes it sometimes. we then hugged and went our separate ways. the next day he messages me talking about the kind of relationship he wants and tells me he just wants a sexual relationship but nothing serious. i was thinking of a response as this was random and we never had this convo or any conversation like this before. but as time went on i couldn’t think of a reply and ended up ghosting him. do you think i was justified in my actions, or should i have made a better effort to come up with a response?

2024.05.20 07:02 Odesio Horror and Headstone Hill is a Fundamentally Flawed but Salagable Campaign (Deadlands)

The Horror at Headstone Hill is an investigative campaign for Deadlands using the Savage Worlds rules. For those unfamiliar with Deadlands, the game is set in the Old West of the United States but with a twist including magic, steampunk, and horror. Dubbed “The Weird West,” this is a game where a posse that includes a rabbi, mad scientist, cowboy, a witch, and a samurai can walk into a saloon and it’s not the setup of a bad joke.
Conclusion: The main campaign is fundamentally flawed but can be fixed by the GM with just a little bit of work.
Set in the Wyoming territory in 1884, the player characters are tasked with investigating the disappearance of Agent George J.A. Reeg of the Agency. Agent Reeg was himself sent to Heaston Hill under the alias of Lens Buckle, miner, to investigate a series of disappearances before he himself disappeared. In order to provide a reason for the posse to work together, it is suggested they should all be members of the Twilight Legion, a club of sorts dedicated to fighting supernatural threats throughout the world. One or more player characters are also encouraged to make members of law enforcement such as US Marshals, Men in Black Dusters (Agency), or even Texas Rangers but it is not required.
The main part of the campaign is devoted to investigating the disappearance of Agent Reeg and is divided into three acts. There’s no particular timetable for when these acts must be completed, so the GM is free to use the myriad of side adventures included with the campaign or from other sources to keep the campaign going for as long as they’d like. Just for the setting of Headstone Hill alone and the side adventures, this is a pretty good purchase.
And like a poor man’s Seth Skorkowsky, I’m going to warn you that here be spoilers. If you plan on playing this game then go no further otherwise you’ll spoil the campaign.

In any investigative game, it’s vital that players are able to follow a series of clues leading them to unraveling the mystery. In this case, the characters are sent to find out what happened to Agent Reeg. In Act I, the players find out Reeg uncovered the activities of a nefarious cult that had been responsible for the disappearances of townsfolk. Some local bandits came to Reeg’s aid when he was attacked outside of town by local townsfolk who melted into ooze. The bandits were the last to see Reeg alive and they don’t know what happened to him.
We never learn Reeg’s fate. Presumable he’s killed, but his fate is never explicitly addressed in the rest of the campaign. And worse yet, there are no clues connected Act I to Act II. The PCs find out Reeg suspects a cult if operating in the area, but there is zero indication of who or what the cult is all about. The PCs accidentally stumble onto who might be the cult leader only if they take an interest in the brewing troubles between the Heaston Mining Company and the Independent Miner’s Association. My players didn’t take any interest in that conflict because they were busy investigating what happened to Reeg and were more concerned with the supernatural threat.
There is a relatively easy fix for this. The PCs might be interested to also investigate some of the disappearances that Reeg was sent to investigate. There’s no information about this in the campaign, but the GM can come up with a few NPCs and make sure to point the players to a particular faction in town all the missing people were associated with. This would ensure the players take an interest in the more mundane troubles of the town as they’d have a reason to look into the activities of the suspected cult.
Act II: There’s not really a lot of mystery going on here. The players confront the cult leader, fight a big monster, and learn there’s an even bigger threat in the wilderness nearby they need to confront.
Act III: This is the big showdown with the big bad. The players encounter a completely new NPC they had never heard of who is allied with the big bad. Since this person was masked, one of the PCs guessed, “I bet this is Agent Reeg!” which would have been awesome. If you run this campaign, make it Agent Reeg. It’s more satisfying narratively and it’s better than introducing an unnamed NPCs for the players to fight.

My son [19M] filed harassment charges against me and my husband because we were making him go to college

Me and my son moved to US last year. I was a single mom for 16 yrs before I met and then married my husband. I saved up money so he can go to college. Where I came from, college is very important. We moved to a small town and my son found new friends. These friends in my opinion were not a good influence. I am used to polite and academically oriented kids back home. These new friends of his make fun of his books and his plans of going to college.
Before his HS graduation, me and my husband took him to several unis in the state so he could get a feel for which one he would like to go to. Then after he graduated from HS, I told him I have about $20k saved up for college. He said it is not going to fit because tuition is pretty expensive nowadays. I suggested he can just go to a community college 20 mins away and live at home to save money. He agreed and I gave him access to the fund (joint account).
Long story short, he did not enroll himself and instead started partying a lot and used the money on expensive dates with his gf. He moved out and stopped talking to me. I worked hard to save that up for more than a decade and I am upset that he wasted it in less than a year. Me and my husband went to his place and asked that he pay me back since it is specifically for college and not "fun money".
He called the police and filed harassment charges. I told the police to review the cctv footage because the whole time I was talking to him through his ring cam, I was calm and reasonable and my husband was just standing behind me not saying anything. I was outside the door talking, he never even opened the door to talk to me face to face. The police said there's nothing he can do if my son and his gf felt "harassed", he can file a restraining order if he wants to.
Back home, this is unforgivable to treat your parent like this. But here in US, I was treated almost like a criminal. My sister in law said it is my fault for confronting him and that the money is his to spend since I made him a joint account owner. Am I wrong?
Edit: People cursing me because I said something about wanting to throw my chancla on my son's face, to be clear I have never laid my hands or my flip flops on him ever. But after what he did, my intrusive thoughts wants me to throw it but of course I won't. If he called the cops on me just because I want to talk to him, what more if I threw my flip flops on his face??
His relationship with me before moving to US was fine. He knew my struggle as a single mom and he always try to help me around the house. I was not strict at all he was free to go out with friends anytime. He was even thrilled to have a father figure and my husband always try to make him feel included in everything.

Lesson learned never give someone access to money unless you’re ok with them running away with it
OOP: He was a good boy before moving here. I thought he knew my struggles and how much I sacrificed to save money. I just thought he would never betray me like this.

Honestly I think a lot of parents don’t realize the depth of their children and forget that just because you think of them as one way doesn’t mean they don’t have other layers that can make them a different person. Sadly your son has found some less than savory friends to surround himself with and now he has to live with the decision he made. I honestly wouldn’t offer help for university again and would leave communication up to him. Also has there been any questions or discussion of potential drug use??

The money is gone. And since he was a joint account holder and a legal adult, there’s nothing to be done except refuse to help him financially anymore. Let him figure it out on his own from now on. The friends he had will likely drift away now that he no longer has a fat bank account to fund their party lifestyle.

Treacle_Moon
Her biggest fault is waiting till it was all gone to do something about it. She had joint access. She could have stepped in long before now and tried to deal with it. Too little too late unfortunately.

Update - 12 days later

I still have not heard from my son and I don't expect him to reach out. But his gf's mother has called me asking if my house is still open to him. I asked her why, it turns out he hasn't paid his share of the last month's rent and his gf had to pay it for him.
I said it is not my problem and he is not welcome anymore in my house since he is an adult. The gf's mom said "what kind of mother would not extend help to his teenage son?". She further insulted me and said now she knows why he left me.
At this point I really don't care anymore. I tried to help him get a good start in life but he wasted it. Aside from the $20k, he lived rent free in the house, free food, free phone, car, gas money, and I pay all the utility bills and his health insurance. All I asked is that he focus on his studies. Finish at least an associate's degree so he can get a decent job and be fully independent from me asap.
For some who asked why college is so important to me, as an immigrant, we are held under certain standards. We have to prove to USCIS that we will not become a public charge -- meaning we won't rely on any government aid. I want him to be able to be a good immigrant and become productive. I don't even know if he can become a citizen if he makes below poverty income. I was just trying to make sure he gets to live a good life.
Some of you asked if he even wanted go to to college. Back when we were in our home country, he begged me to pls send him to college no matter what.
P.S. The harassment charge was closed for lack of evidence of harassment, a lot of what he said were lies.
Edit: Another thing that gave me chills was when he moved out it was the middle of the night and me and my husband were both asleep. My son left the front door hanging open (I saw it in the camera). We live in a small town but there's a lot of crime in our area, someone could have gone in and done something bad.

Some people just have to learn the hard way, his gf probably had a good time with him spending his college fund now 5hat it’s gone the fun is over. So comes the reality.

So you’re saying this is the Find Out stage that follows the Fuck Around stage?

Sharp_Mathematician6
Yep

SnooWords4839
His GF's mom has no right to bitch you out. Your son left, spend his college fund and now has to figure out how to adult. You do not owe him anything at this point.

ladyalcove
She's just calling her out because she's realizing that now she has to take care of this bum.

butterfly-garden
Yup. She, too, is in the Find Out stage.

** New Update*\*

Update 2 - 8 days later

His girlfriend's mom called me again today and basically handed the phone to my son to "sort it out between us". I let him just talk and tell me what is on his mind. Here's a summary of his point of view:
So basically he felt deprived as a kid and that he thinks he was just healing his inner child when he spent the money. He said his friends told him I owe that to him for bringing him to this world. He thinks that I should not have a child if I can't afford these things.
I asked him why he left the door open that night. He went silent for a few seconds then said "I just thought that if the house get robbed, I could just say I cashed the money from the bank and the robbers must have found it". Unbelievable.
At this point I was so emotional and I was a crying mess. I told him I am deeply sorry that I was his mom and that he had to grow up feeling deprived because I was poor. Then he said "Oh stop with your guilt tripping, you are saying that to make me feel bad.
Oh and he also said he hates it when I do this. I don't yell like that lady but I pretty much bug him to get up and help me set the table. I never get a response so I had to raise my voice higher. He said I was so rude. But he grew up with this. This is me being me. All moms back home do this. Al of a sudden he is comparing me to his mom's friends. In our culture we want food to be eaten while it is fresh from the stove. I spent 1 hr cooking after a long day at work, the least you can do is help me set the table and eat my food while it's nice and warm.
I hung up. My heart is broken in so much pieces. Am I wrong?

2024.05.20 07:01 Low_Pack_4552 making my own bedding

hi everyone!
i'm planning to do my first camino in september and have been trying to figure out what to bring for bedding. i know a lot of people like the sea to summit sleeping bag liners, but i have a REALLY hard time with sleeping bags — i find them too restricting.
with that in mind, i've been thinking about making my own bedding for the camino. specifically, i was thinking about sewing my own twin-size fitted sheet (with a pillow pocket??) out of a very lightweight silk-blend fabric, and bringing a backpacking quilt to sleep underneath. i'm not amazing at sewing, but it certainly wouldn't need to look super clean and pretty as long as it got the job done. has anyone done something like this?

2024.05.20 07:00 SameSite1511 Fleas on new cat

I just picked up a new cat from an old friend. The cat is strictly indoors but he was lowkey neglected since his past owners didn’t have much time for him. He has super long, thick hair. I just discovered flea dirt and so I used a flea comb and managed to find 3 fleas after 15 minutes of brushing. I’m planning on giving him a flea bath very soon but the problem is his safe room is my bedroom and it’s all carpet. I want to spray flea killer on my carpet after I remove my new cats stuff but how long do I wait for it to air out so that it’s safe for him to go back into his safe room? I have two other cats and they’re all very afraid of each other so I can’t really have him walk around the rest of the house. Please send advice I’ve never dealt with fleas before

The high desert near Roswell was where contact activist Shari Adamiak reportedly was attacked
Introduction

In my judgment, flying saucers threaten all terrestrial elites, but not necessarily the planet’s people. Given what is a perceived threat to the status quo,
both corporate and Executive Branch Intelligence operatives have historically been compelled to deal with UFOs as a non-human intelligence counterintelligence challenge.

As a Working Group Coordinator in the 1990s for the Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind Initiative, I observed signs of obvious surveillance of our contact efforts. Young men in civilian clothing with a military bearing were frequently present at our research sites. Team members were blatantly photographed on arrival at a fieldwork location. On one occasion, military helicopters and on another F-14s buzzed us during our investigations.

Contact activists who are staging Human Initiated Contact Events (HICE) aka CE5, might in some ways be ideal targets to try out what are now called Directed Energy Weapons. This is because we already are under surveillance and the effects of such non-lethal technology can be readily monitored via telephone conversations and email.

Importantly, as the result of a de facto policy of ridicule and denial, most people imagine that those attempting to contact aliens” are probably mentally ill. Once targeted and attacked, contact activists would find little sympathy from the larger society, including police and medical authorities, if they dared to complain about such attacks. Thus, the technology can be developed with little interference.

“The Havana Syndrome”

During the past few years, current and former US government employees have reported being targeted by are called “Directed Energy Weapons.” The failure of US Executive Branch to identify the precise source of these alleged attacks and to adequately deal with the long-term health consequences of them, has led to charges of a coverup. The victims describe experiencing a wide range of symptoms: headaches, dizziness, blurred vision and memory loss and insomnia.

Shari Adamiak, a Prominent Leader in our Human Initiated Contact Network
Shari Adamiak was a Working Group Coordinator in the CE-5 Initiative from 1991 until her death in 1998. She played an immeasurable role in the formulation of the CSETI Contact Protocols and the development of contact teams that operated primarily in the Western United States during the 1990s. Several times Shari also accompanied the CSETI Director Dr. Greer to Southern England to investigate the relationship between UFOs and Crop Circle phenomena.

Directed Energy Weapon Attack in the United Kingdom

As a fellow contact team leader, I always paid close attention to what she shared with me about her work. If memory serves me correctly, after returning from the UK in 1994(although it might have been 1993) I heard a very disturbing account from her. While in Southern England, Shari and two other crop circle investigators were sitting at an outdoor café. A commercial van of some sort pulled up and parked about twenty yards away. Suddenly all three women developed the following symptoms, vertigo, nausea, light headedness, muscle ache and headache. According to Shari all were feeling perfectly fine before the onset of the symptoms which lasted perhaps ten or fifteen minutes and then gradually resolved. Shari stated the van then drove away.

“Psychotronic” Weaponry Appears to Target Human Consciousness
In 1994 both Steven Greer MD and Shari Adamiak reported to our network that they had been targeted with what Greer called “psychotronic” weaponry. (In Shari’s report posted below she used the term “psychoelectronic.” In his oral history book “Hidden Truth Forbidden Knowledge,” the CSETI leader described a series of attacks starting in the fall of 1994. One reportedly occurred in New York City after a meeting with a member of a European royal family.
“After falling fast asleep, I awakened hours later. I couldn't raise my arms; I couldn't roll over; I couldn't move! I was in a state of complete physical paralysis. I
knew what was going on; a directional electromagnetic weapons system hit me. It was coming through the window above my bed. Projected into the room was the single most extreme sense of evil and terror I've ever felt in my life. I could tell they were attempting to extract my astral body out of my physical body.”

This appears to be different from what Shari described above in the UK attack but is similar to what she stated happened to her in New Mexico in October 1994 during a UFO investigation. I have posted a portion of her official CSETI report on that mission below as part of my Contact Network History Project.

Readers please note that "CTS" is the abbreviation for "Coherent Thought Sequencing. This is the term Steven Greer MD coined for group meditation involving either thought projection to, and /or remote viewing of "extraterrestrial spacecraft", combined with the group's intention to interact peacefully with the non-human intelligences piloting those craft.

REPORT OF THE RAPID MOBILIZATION INVESTIGATIVE TEAM
MISSION TO THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO, U.S.A.
OCTOBER 1- 7. 1994

~INTRODUCTION~

A small Rapid Mobilization Investigative Team (RMIT) of three CSETI members met in Albuquerque, New Mexico to investigate activities in the state, and to take a reconnaissance trip to the Roswell area. Members of the team for this mission included: Steven M. Greer, M.D., international director of SETI; Shari Adamiak, CSETI executive council, coordinator for the RMIT, the working groups, and the Denver, Colorado group; and Patrick Sullivan, a CSETI member from Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

The starting date of the mission followed immediately after Steven Greer's appearance on the Larry King Live special the previous night near Area 57, Rachel, Nevada.

We traveled to the Roswell area after joining up on October 2nd. Here we spent time in prayer and thought to help heal the area and the energy from the crashes of space craft in New Mexico in the late 1940s and 1950s.

Our trip was primarily of an investigative nature. Besides wanting to do research around Roswell, we were also following up on activity reported in Midway, outside Roswell. We also wanted to investigate the White Sands area, as it had been the site of extreme activity in the past and is also an area that Dr. Greer feels may be the site of a future, cooperative landing and meeting between extraterrestrial intelligent beings and representatives from this planet, including government, military and civilian (a small CSETI team).

The report that follows is real-time dictation and field notes from this mission.

Respectfully submitted,
Shari Adamiak
CSETI Executive Council

RAPID MOBILIZATION INVESTIGATIVE TEAM MISSION TO NEW MEXICO - OCTOBER 2- 7, 1994

Real-time dictation from the field each night follows:
~October 2, 1994:~

We are outside of Roswell, New Mexico on our first night of a RMIT. Present are Steven Greer, Patrick Sullivan, and Shari Adamiak. We have just camped out on a road of a county road between Midway and Dexter. We have seen one anomalous object flying in the East, very low to the horizon headed towards the North. Did not appear to have any strobing lights. When Steven signaled to it, the object rose up a little bit and became noticeably brighter, changing from red to white. Also, as that was occurring, I saw a shooting star at about 25° above the Eastern horizon headed North.

10:50pm and two shooting stars just seen in the zenith by Patrick and Steven. Patrick just reported a very brilliant shooting star, shooting from East to West by the Milky Way. It's about 11:00. Patrick said it was the fastest "shooting star" he's ever seen. Just a moment later a second shooting star was seen by Patrick almost parallel to the other. It's just a minute or so after 11:00 and we have just been observing in the SE a very unusual strobing object visible only through the night vision scope, moving very low to the horizon with a rapid strobe to it. We can't see it with the naked eye.

At 11:40pm we had an experience during Coherent Thought Sequencing (CTS) where Steven and I both felt there was something directly over us and at the same time Patrick reported seeing a strobing above us. Steven then felt they were directly behind his head. The hair on the back of his neck stood up. He got up and on the very low Northern horizon was able to see the red-amber colored light.

It's about midnight. We're having an unusual sighting over in the East. We've been watching an object that moved South and then became stationary. Now it looks as if it could be a planet rising. It has a red-amber look to it or the object could be just totally stationary. We did signal to it. It seemed to flare up. It's about 5° above the horizon, directly across from us in the East. This object that we were looking at appeared to have positioned itself in front of either Regel or Betelgeuse in Orion, which that was a part of and is now fully risen and is beautiful in the Eastern sky.

~October 3, 1994:~

We are out at a site East of Roswell. It's just a minute or two before 7:00pm. We're getting something to east. It’s partly cloudy. It’s in the 70s. It looks like it will be fairly clear for most of the night. West. We are directly across from the mountain Capital to the West. To our East there is a vent for a gas well that's burning.

It's 7:50 and in the East towards Midway we are observing some twinkling, strobing type lights. There are two or three of them. They seem to be like the lights described that Mr. Escamillo has on video from Midway. About a minute later, we don't see them at all. Oh, I just saw one flash farther to the East. We are not sure if these could be aircraft or something anomalous. They are dim to bright and white. These white blinking objects have continued on to the East, traveling in the South part of the sky. They are continuing to do strobing and flashing but in no regular pattern. They appear to be chasing each other randomly across the sky, rather slowly.

It's 10:15pm and there is one single white bright light appearing in the South that is signaling back to us. It is very low on the horizon, maybe even on the ground. The object just signaled back twice after a signal sent to it of two flashes. It is in the area of Bottomless Lakes State Park, which is due South of us. It's about 5 or 10 minutes later and this light in the South is again signaling. It's moved just a bit. It moves a bit to the East or the West, but it's still completely low, right on the horizon. We don't know if it's terrestrial or extraterrestrial at this point. It is 10:35 when this signaling has reoccurred again. Steven is now looking at it through the night vision binoculars and he says it is a continuously illuminated object that's on right now, even when it is not signaling to us. It just now flashed again faintly. We will continue to signal to this and report. The sky has also become completely clear except for around the very far edges and just in the East. Through the night vision scope, Patrick is seeing that there is also a corresponding strobing light in the sky about 10° above the horizon that's in synch with the one that's here on the ground. But we cannot see the one in the sky without using the night vision scope.

It's 11:00 and the light across the road in the South by the Bottomless Lakes has just illuminated itself about 5 or 6 times to us. It definitely seems to be under intelligent control. The last round of signaling that's going on now started up just after we broadcast the tones out over the walkie-talkie. It's just a few minutes after 11:00 and Steven saw an extremely fast moving "meteorite" just to the East of zenith. He said it was faster than anything he's ever seen move. Also, it happened to Patrick last night - that same type of extremely fast moving object.

It's 11:55 and we were just hit from behind to our East by some beam that was low and on the ground that swept right across the field encompassing us.

NOTE THAT JUST AS I WAS TRANSCRIBING THIS, I LEARNED THAT THE TAPE IS BLANK FROM THIS POINT ON FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT. VERY INTERESTING IN THAT THE EVENT THAT FOLLOWED WAS VERY UNUSUAL. WHAT FOLLOWS IS MY NARRATIVE REPORT BASED ON RECOLLECTION SINCE THE TAPE HAS BEEN
COMPROMISED. THE BLANK SPOT LASTS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THIS NIGHT'S DICTATION, THEN PICKS UP AGAIN ON THE FOLLOWING NIGHT'S FIELD DICTATION. I BELIEVE THIS BLANK SPACE IN THE TAPE IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE PSYCHOELECTRONIC ATTACK.

Narrative Report:

Soon after this round of light signaling, we did a Coherent Thought Sequencing. I was in a deep state of unbounded mind when I felt my body struck by an invisible beam of negative energy. It caused nearly total paralysis except that my body was wracked with small convulsions from what I sensed to be a psychoelectronic, non-lethal weapon. I could hear myself moaning slowly. I felt that the beam was coming from my left, towards Bottomless Lakes. I sensed three shadowy figures that appeared to be human men. The beam had the effect of separating me from my teammates. Since I only had the faculty of mind at my disposal during the attack, I mentally asked where Patrick and Steven were. I finally could sense Patrick out I front of me, distance away. I could not see or sense Steven. I kept asking mentally, “Where is Steven?” in as authoritative tone as I could manage while under attack. Receiving no response, I began to mentally call to Steven. He must have mentally picked up my thoughts because I felt him take my hands even though he was not there physically. He then hugged me and the attack ended. I sensed that it was our combined energy that was able to break the beam. I then rather passed out for a few minutes.

When our CTS ended, I clearly recalled everything that happened and knew I had not dozed off and had a dream. It was ultimately real. I was still a bit weak from the attack. Steven asked if something happened. I said, "you won't believe this" and proceeded to tell Steven and Patrick most of what occurred. Patrick had been unaware of any of this during our CTS. When I finished, Steven said, "wait until you hear this". During the CTS, he heard a voice that said, "are you ready to go?" He then felt that the energy was instantly scrambled and he lost the connection. He could hear me faintly moaning and sensed that I was in distress. He then came to me etherically and hugged me. The dove tailing of our experiences was incredible. For some days, I pondered on this event. It had a profound effect upon me, and still does to this day. I knew it was highly significant that we were able to break the attack with combined positive energy. I also instinctively and absolutely felt that the attack had come from human beings. I knew that it was not sent by extraterrestrials. The beam carried with it fear and terror which I knew were being projected upon me by an outside force. I did not feel that fear and terror from within my own being, but I was forced to experience it.

We then saw the ground-based lights at Bottomless Lakes flashing randomly again. It was nearly 1:00 by now and we decided to pack up. And drive over there to investigate. As we were in a flat open area, and anyone at Bottomless could have seen us coming for literally a mile. We drove around the Bottomless Lakes State Park, shining our 1.5 million candle power light all about. No traces of anyone or any vehicles were seen. There is a county road that cuts out of Bottomless Lakes which could make for an easy get-away for any one in that park.
