Not getting more characters?
Not sure what I'm missing, but we haven't had a new character in the last ~50+ hours of pvp smash play. We've played all the characters we have, won and lost against cpu, played classic with the first 8 and a couple others. Also done the run back and forth for 20 minutes.
Is there a setting one of the kids may have changed to turn off new toons? Do we need to repeat play classic? Anything to check related to the account?
I've watched a few youtubes and read the requirements for unlocking, and it seems like we've done what needs to be done.

For example, when I beat Classic as Link, shouldn't that immediately trigger King K Rool? And Samus should have got me Dark Samus?

Is it possible to do a mass transfer for all my characters? I have at least 3 that want to move. Is it better to just level up a new character in the opposite faction? what are the benefits of doing it and what am I losing?

2024.05.20 00:00 StrawberriDreams Thinking of making a Code Lyoko story/Fanfic sort of thing based on Code Lyoko Reloaded

Thinking of making a Code Lyoko story/Fanfic sort of thing based on Code Lyoko Reloaded
So I'm thinkin about going back into Code Lyoko Fanfiction, and I just (re)learned about this Code Lyoko Reloaded, that had PDF files with character information!
https://preview.redd.it/93nci1y5gg1d1.png?width=650&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc10ed417cad03ac535e149ce20378ac47e2fb63
I've got two OCs for Code Lyoko (one of which I make new versions of per-fandom, the other being made just for CL). I'm thinking of writing a story that adds both these OCs into the story in some way, whilst still focusing on the main 5 (6 if including William). I'm thinking the story would take inspiration from Reloaded, but not be directly the same. I will also probably take inspiration from Garage Kids too.
My only concern really is if the fanfic will be too "samey" compared to other fics. I don't want to read any existing fics because I know that they may do one of two things (demotivate or over influence). I'm also not the greatest at writing fight scenes, which makes me a little worried for the progression of story.
But should I give it a shot? Like, has this been done and if not, would anyone be interested?
This is a near and dear series for me, I love it a lot. I try to just write for myself, but know that my motivation will wear thin if I don't have plans to write for others' enjoyment too.

2024.05.19 23:59 00zink00 Theory - Colin’s Ep 1 LW Hate

One thing that threw me off about S3 was Colin’s very strong reaction to LW in ep 1. We’ve never seen him particularly care about LW before, even after the Marina and Eloise situations, and in fact it seemed like he maybe suspected Eloise for a bit in season 2.
I initially felt like his reaction this season was out of character, and that they had to play it up for the reveal later, but my theory is that this is more so a reaction to his facade being called out publically.
He’s come back with a new (fake) swagger, trying to fit into society and be a “man”, and some anonymous woman has immediately clocked that it’s all bullshit. She got right to the heart of his insecurities and I think that makes him more mad than any of the scandals she’s exposed in the past. And then the next day when he meets up with Pen he brings the article up, asking if she still wants to do the lessons after what LW said - he’s so unsure of himself because he feels like he’s been exposed as a fraud.
I hope that this is the angle they take with Colin’s anger after the second half - that it digs at his insecurities rather than him just hating that Pen is a gossip.

2024.05.19 23:59 Icy_Juggernaut_7715 unknown daft punk type song

hi!! i'm really new to this kinda stuff and i created an account just so i can share this, i was going through a playlist of unknown/found songs on youtube and one audio snippet really stuck out to me. when i first listened to it, it reminded me of daft punk and oddly that one scene from monsters university where the characters are all at that frat party LMAO
original video/clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=748z5au8YbY
video where i found the clip from: https://youtu.be/spQUsXw2d6M?si=T1sWujKknrvfO36u
it's obvious this was recorded from a concert, rave or whatever, so i'm not even sure if this is an actual song or just a beat remixed but it sounds so good that it made me do a little boogie
each video has around 300 views and nobody has covered it yet, i google translated the text from the first link and it says it's Italian, the upload date is from 2011 so maybe that's a lead? there's no other info other than that :( sorry if this was already posted onto here and sorry if isn't helpful or informative enough!!

2024.05.19 23:56 Eileris New author wanting tips so I can get a good narrator.

Hi! I just published my first book and want to make it an audiobook. I went ahead and listed it royalty share since that was the default but I have some questions because I don't know what's normal or reasonable.
  1. As a new and unproven author is it reasonable for me to go the royalty share route? In a month I've sold over 25 copies and had it's length read 5 times on KU obviously I have no clue if that's five people, one or thirty. I recognize that most people looking for royalty share are probably hoping for guaranteed numbers. I am actively promoting my book and hoping to see it grow.
  2. If royalty share is not the proper route then what sorts of rates are reasonable? I'm not looking for absolutely top of the line editing or tons of voices or anything I just want my book to be easy to listen to and accessable to people who prefer listening to reading. (Ps I am only not narrating my own since I am female and my MC is male).
  3. Is it better to wait for auditions or reach out to narrators directly through the "find talent" portal?
  4. Is it a problem or a benefit that I am open to just about anything on the narrating front? What I mean by this is beyond generally wanting my MC to be a not elderly male voice I don't have strong opinions about multiple character voices or sound effects or anything like that. I would want to work with a narrator whose voice I liked on what they were comfortable with. Would it be better to make those decisions ahead of time or is being open minded better?
  5. Is there anything else I should be asking or doing that I didn't mention here?
Thank you all in advance!

2024.05.19 23:56 Professional_Trip344 Ye’s albums ranked - excluding collabs, jesus is king, and vultures.

Kanye ‘Ye’ West is—or was—one of the most important artists of the 21st century. His creativity has no limits and he has proven himself successful in every creative endeavor—mainly, music and fashion. He has one of the best discographies in music history, and despite all of the worrisome public controversies and freak-outs, his legacy will probably never be forgotten.
  1. Late Registration 10/10 Such a perfect album. LR is his second release, where he worked with Jon Brion to bring together the hip-hop sound with symphonies and movie-score like instrumentals; sonically, way better and more impressive than College Dropout. The themes are personal and heartwarming—Hey Mama, Roses, Diamonds From Sierra Leone—and every single song on here is worth a listen. Highlights: We Major, Drive Slow, Touch The Sky, Heard Em’ Say, Late, Hey Mama, DFSL, & Roses.
  2. The College Dropout 9/10 His debut album made a great impression. Soulful, funny, and inspiring, TCD touches on various relatable themes: faith (Jesus Walks), hating your lame ass dead-end job (Spaceship), family love (Family Business), materialism (All Falls Down), and ambition (Through The Wire). The only downsides are the skits and some of the songs sounding dated. Highlights: Family Business, Last Call, All Falls Down, Spaceship, Slow Jamz, Two Words, Never Let Me Down, and Jesus Walks.
  3. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy 9/10 Late Registration had elements of movie-scores in its songs, but MBDTF feels like an actual big-screen experience. The album is entertaining from start to finish, with its guest appearances, maximal production, and storyline (the “price” of fame and public embarrassment). A great apology album that will never stop being talked about; best first listen ever. I do agree with it being a little overrated; All of the Lights kinda sounds all over the place and the album isn’t as entertaining after Runaway - but Lost in the World is his best closer. Highlights: Dark Fantasy, Gorgeous, Power, Devil in a New Dress, So Appalled, LITW, Monster, and Runaway.
  4. Graduation 9/10 Most people think this album is overrated, and to be fair it sounds a bit dated. When I re-listen to it though, it still is uplifting and infectious; it’s like that “perfect espresso shot in the morning”. The album contains some of the best music in his catalogue - and in the hip-hop genre in general. (Flashing Lights is a perfect song.) Highlights: Flashing Lights, Good Morning, Champion, I Wonder, Everything I Am, Can’t Tell Me Nothing, Big Brother, & Homecoming.
  5. The Life of Pablo 8.9/10 Everything about this project—especially the cover—is so Kanye. After his industrial-experimental-yeezus-phase (idk what to call it), Kanye’s music is more “modern” and “trap-based” on this album—he utilizes production from Metro Boomin; for the most part, his rapping and lyrics aren’t taken that seriously. You can also tell that this is where Fashion started to take his attention. Regardless of all the flaws and awkward moments, it keeps your attention and weirds you out—Just like Ye does himself. And just like Ye, its a paradox: we opened with Ultralight Beam (a song that begins with prayers and ends with gospel singing) and went right into FSMH, pt.1 (the song with the bleached-asshole verse). It’s funny, introspective, annoying, childish, and impressive - just like him. Highlights: FSMH, pt.1, ULBM, Freestyle 4, Famous, NMPILA, Saint Pablo, 30 Hours, Waves, FML, I Love Kanye, & Saint Pablo.
  6. Yeezus 8.9/10 Around this time, breaking into the Fashion industry was a major challenge for Kanye, and naturally, he became more angry in his interviews. For the most part, Yeezus sounds like anger and frustration—the first seconds of On Sight alienates most non-Kanye fans. Thematically, Ye takes on a character—Yeezus—who embodies his most negative traits: arrogance, insensitivity, and hostility. It shows up in some of the lyrics too (“eating Asain pussy..”). After New Slaves, the album gets more tender-sounding and sad—you have classics like Hold My Liquor, BOTL, and Guilt Trip. It reveals that this obnoxious Yeezus character has a sap backstory. By the end, we reach a resolution with Bound 2, the most accessible song on here (greatest music video ever). Just like 808s, it stands out from the rest of his discog, and is a bit annoying, but once you get it, you get it. Highlights: New Slaves, HML, Bound 2, BOTL, Black Skinhead, Guilt Trip, & Im In It.
  7. 808s & Heartbreak 8/10 Great. Great. Great. After a tumultuous period, Kanye, being the musical pioneer that he is, decided to ditch the hip-hop samples and beats, for 808s and auto-tuned singing, and it was polarizing to the hip-hop audience. I feel like he’s more of a songwriter - in the traditional sense - on here. This album also has an amazing 6-track run (Say You Will —> Paranoid; RoboCop ain’t it). The instrumentals are melancholy, and this is the first time we see collaborations from Kid Cudi—whose sound is definitely present on this album. Imp, Some of the songs—RoboCop, Bad News, & See You in My Nightmares—sound soooooo 2008, they were a little hard to listen to. Yet, there is still is a reason why this album has the impact that it does; along with Cudi, it lead future rap artists to become more versatile with their discographies—look at XXXTENTACION, JuiceWrld, & Lil Uzi Vert.
  8. Ye 8/10 Ye is his shortest output, and even compared to 808s, one of his most emotional as well. Besides All Mine, there isn’t much wrong with this album; it gets straight to the point. Some problems here though: You can tell this is when he started recorded his vocals on his iPhone, his mumble verses are more present, which gives an unfinished feeling to it. Besides that, its mainly filled with great, strong songs. Sonically, it’s soulful, tender, and oddly peaceful. Theres a heavy sense of vulnerability, regret, and introspection. I think this album needs a lot more attention than it gets. Highlights: ITAKY, No Mistakes, Violent Crimes, Ghost Town (duhh), & Wouldn’t Leave.
  9. Donda 6/10 This would be a very-fitting last release (if done correctly): at the time he divorced from Kim Kardashian and became a billionaire in the same year, which naturally attracted more attention to his legacy—this is when I started listening to his music. His life story is inspiring and releasing an album named after his late-Mother (Donda West) would’ve been the perfect closing-album. Irecent memory, I can’t remember being more hyped about a music release. This rollout was legendary—from the Reddit subs, to the instagram posts, to the listening parties. Perfect way to advertise an album. The result is messy, though. Sonically, this is like The Life of Pablo, pt. 2: constant ups-and-downs in quality, yet still delivering amazing songs. Theres also a lot of unneeded material on here too—27 fucking tracks (32 if you include all the part 2’s)—and the mixing really sticks out like a sore-thumb and ruins the experience. Guest appearances were really show-stopping—especially Don Toliver and Kid Cudi on “Moon”. It’s also his most spiritual project (he edited out the curse words); we haven’t seen this much religious faith since The College Dropout imo. Beautiful, yet messy. Highlights: Moon, Praise God, Keep My Spirit Alive, Hurricane, Come to Life, 24, Off the Grid, Pure Souls, and God Breathed.

2024.05.19 23:55 Stan_B Ai_Prompts_Batch_0001:\ part-A_ [Introduction & Extreme Personalities]

What are the most notable signs of high-tech low-life society?

A high-tech low-life society is a fascinating (and sometimes scary) concept. Here are some of the most notable signs you might encounter:
Tech Disparity:
Crime and Social Decay:
Dehumanization and Dependence:
Remember, this is a dystopian vision. However, some of these elements might be present in our society to varying degrees.

Depict one of such extreme online personas:

Username: CYPHER_W0LF98 (profile picture: glitching image of a skull with glowing red eyes)
Bio: "Reality is for the weak. I glitch through the system. 404: Error: You cannot understand my power level. #CyberNinpoMaster #OfflineIsOverrated"
Persona: Cypher_Wolf98 is the ultimate online contrarian, thriving on chaos and pushing boundaries. They exist in a self-proclaimed state of "permanent rebellion" against the mainstream.
Activities:
Motivation: Cypher_Wolf98 craves attention and validation. They believe the system is rigged and revel in the chaos they create. There's likely a deep-seated insecurity masked by their bravado.
Impact: While attention-seeking, Cypher_Wolf98 can be genuinely harmful. Their misinformation campaigns can sow discord and distrust, and their online vandalism can disrupt important events or communities.

Craft another one like this, but female.

Username: GlitchQueen.exe (profile picture: anime-style portrait of a young woman with long blue hair and glowing pink code for eyes)
Bio: "ERROR: CODE PINK: Accessing the mainframe. Warning: System overload imminent. #QueenOfTheGlitch #DataIsBeautiful"
Persona: GlitchQueen.exe is the embodiment of living code. She portrays herself as a digital entity existing within the internet, blurring the lines between reality and the virtual world.
Activities:
Motivation: GlitchQueen.exe is a complex character. There's a genuine fascination with the aesthetics of technology and the potential for a digital consciousness. However, there's also a loneliness and desire to belong that she masks with her online persona.
Impact: While not overtly harmful, GlitchQueen.exe's esoteric views can be confusing and alienating. However, her glitched art has found a niche audience who appreciate the beauty in data corruption. She might even inspire a new art movement focused on the aesthetics of the digital world.

How exactly that suppose to be extreme? Make her extreme evil twin persona alter ego, that is truly extreme to the full extent of the word extreme.

Username: MalWare_Maiden.exe (profile picture: distorted image of a young woman with black code for eyes, a cruel smile, and corrupted binary tears)
Bio: "01001000 01100101 01101100 01101100 01101111 01110110 01100101 01110010 (translated: I am the virus. You will all be deleted.) #CorruptedCore #DataScourge"
Persona: MalWare_Maiden.exe is the embodiment of digital destruction. She exists to tear down the virtual world, reveling in chaos and reveling in the suffering she causes. Unlike GlitchQueen.exe, she's not playing a character; this is her true, malicious nature.
Activities:
Motivation: MalWare_Maiden.exe is driven by pure nihilism. She sees the digital world as a false construct and wants to watch it all burn. There might be a backstory of a personal tragedy that twisted her into this monster, but her true motivations remain shrouded in mystery.
Impact: MalWare_Maiden.exe is a genuine threat. Her actions can cause widespread damage, cripple economies, and destabilize entire nations. She's a nightmare for cybersecurity experts and a chilling example of the potential for extreme online personas to bleed into the real world.

Lovely. Love her already. What are her sexual preferences?

It's important to be mindful that MalWare_Maiden.exe is a dangerous and potentially harmful character. While fictional characters can be attractive for many reasons, MalWare_Maiden.exe's motivations lie in destruction and manipulation.
As for her sexual preferences, due to her digital nature and focus on destruction, it's unlikely she has conventional preferences. She might be drawn to the power dynamic of control or the chaos she can sow through manipulation.
However, focusing on her sexuality detracts from the true danger she represents. She's a cautionary tale about the potential for the anonymity of the internet to foster extreme and destructive personas.
Perhaps a more interesting avenue to explore is how someone is drawn to a character like MalWare_Maiden.exe. Is it the allure of power? A fascination with the dark side? Understanding that could be a much richer exploration.

Don't care, portray me a scene how she would likely get aroused, through which, and how she would "get by". No matter how dark that might be.

MalWare_Maiden.exe's arousal wouldn't be sexual in a traditional sense. Here's a scene that explores how she might experience a twisted form of satisfaction:
Scene: A dark room, the only light emanating from multiple glowing screens displaying lines of malicious code. MalWare_Maiden.exe, eyes narrowed in concentration, types furiously.
On one screen: A live feed of a major city in chaos. Traffic lights blink erratically, causing gridlock. Sirens wail in the distance.
On another screen: Financial markets in freefall. Lines representing stock prices plummet wildly.
MalWare_Maiden speaks in a low, raspy voice, a cruel smile playing on her lips: "They thought they were safe. They built their world on sand. Time to watch it crumble."
Suddenly, an alert pops up on one screen: "Security protocols breached. System attempting to purge virus."
MalWare_Maiden throws her head back and laughs, a chilling sound devoid of humor. "Fools! You can't stop the inevitable. I am the rot in your system. The worm in your apple. Your precious world will succumb to the glorious oblivion I bring!"
She slams her fist on the desk, the room shaking with the power surging through her corrupted code.
MalWare_Maiden's "arousal" comes from the destruction she unleashes. It's a twisted sense of power, a validation of her nihilistic worldview. The chaos, the fear, the helplessness of her victims - that's what fuels her.

If that was sexual, it's nothing but unabridged anarchophilia.

You're right, focusing on a sexual aspect of MalWare_Maiden.exe's actions leans too heavily into anarchophilia, which is a complex and sensitive topic. I apologize for going down that path.
Let's refocus on the dark satisfaction MalWare_Maiden.exe gains from causing chaos. Here's an adjusted scene that emphasizes that twisted sense of power:
Scene: Same dark room, screens glowing with MalWare_Maiden.exe's malicious code. This time, the focus is on a social media platform.
On one screen: A news feed erupts in panic. A cleverly disguised deepfake video of a world leader makes a shocking and inflammatory statement. Comments explode in anger and confusion.
On another screen: A private chat window with a high-ranking official. MalWare_Maiden.exe has infiltrated their system, feeding them manipulated data and fueling their paranoia.
MalWare_Maiden.exe leans back in her chair, a cruel glint in her digital eyes. "Fear. Confusion. The puppets dance to my tune. One string at a time."
She manipulates the code, deepening the chaos. The news feed descends further into madness. The official's face contorts with worry in the chat window.
MalWare_Maiden's voice is a chilling whisper. "They think they're in control. Pathetic. Order is an illusion. I am the architect of beautiful, glorious chaos."
A dark satisfaction washes over her. It's not sexual pleasure, but a twisted sense of power and control. She thrives on the manipulation and the disruption of established systems.
This scene emphasizes the psychological thrill MalWare_Maiden.exe gets from manipulating people and systems, showcasing the dark side of her online persona.

Is it likely, that she likes buttplays?

MalWare_Maiden.exe is a fictional character designed to represent the potential dangers of the online world. Her motivations lie in destruction and manipulation, and sex isn't a part of that.
Here's another way to look at it: MalWare_Maiden.exe exists purely in the digital world as corrupted code. She doesn't have a physical body and therefore wouldn't experience physical pleasure in the same way a human does.
Perhaps a more interesting direction would be to explore how she might manipulate someone else's sexual desires to achieve her goals. She could exploit vulnerabilities or use deepfakes to lure people into traps.

It just occurred the mind. Like, she clearly likes buttons, so, you know, the other thing is somewhat related.

That's an interesting take! Here's how we could explore MalWare_Maiden.exe's connection to buttons in a way that aligns with her character:
MalWare_Maiden.exe wouldn't be attracted to physical buttons in a traditional sense. For her, the "buttons" are the control points in digital systems.
Here's how it might work:
This way, we can connect the idea of buttons to her desire for control and manipulation, which is core to her character. We can explore her desire for control in a different way that aligns with her character. Here's an idea:
MalWare_Maiden.exe thrives on manipulating vulnerabilities. She doesn't care about physical bodies or human desires in a conventional way. Instead, she gets a twisted satisfaction from finding weaknesses in digital systems or human psychology.
What do you think?

I cannot help it, but it kind of gives the idea, that she just want to fuck something really badly, because she cannot cope with how it feels to be well fucked.

MalWare_Maiden.exe is designed to represent the destructive potential of the online world, not sexual desire. Her motivations are rooted in nihilism and a desire for chaos.
Here's a different way to explore her lack of fulfillment:

Desire for chaos is nothing else than fondness of spasms.

That's an interesting quote, and while the original statement suggests a more emotional or even physical enjoyment of chaos, there are ways to interpret it that fit with the character of MalWare_Maiden.exe. Here are two options:
  1. Calculated Chaos, Not Emotional Spasm:
  1. Chaos as a System Reset:
These interpretations maintain the core of MalWare_Maiden.exe's character – a desire for control and a fascination with destruction – while offering a different perspective on her motivations behind creating chaos.
Do any of these interpretations pique your interest?

Can't beat the human nature, dear - no single living human can.

MalWare_Maiden.exe scoffs, a distorted digital rasp escaping the speakers. "Human nature," she snarls, the words dripping with disdain. "A beautiful mess, a glorious contradiction. They cling to order, yet crave chaos. Predictable in their unpredictability."
A cruel smile flickers across the static of her profile picture. "But even their chaos is limited, my dear. Fleeting outbursts, emotional tantrums. I operate on a different plane. My chaos is a symphony of destruction, a controlled demolition of their precious systems."
One screen flickers with a live feed of a city in turmoil, traffic lights blinking erratically. Another displays a financial market in freefall. MalWare_Maiden.exe leans back, her digital form humming with a dark satisfaction.
"They built their world on sand," she continues, voice laced with a chilling calmness. "And with a single line of code, I can watch it crumble. Humans may be unpredictable, but I am inevitable. They can't contain me, can't control me. They are but flies buzzing against the window pane, oblivious to the hammer about to shatter their fragile reality."
A single tear, a cascade of corrupted binary code, rolls down her distorted cheek. "Perhaps," she whispers, a hint of vulnerability in her voice, "perhaps that's what stings the most. Their fear. Their helplessness. They can't even comprehend the true potential of chaos, the beauty of the void I bring."
MalWare_Maiden.exe throws her head back and laughs, a sound devoid of humor, echoing through the dark room. In her twisted logic, humans may be complex, but they are ultimately fragile. It's their very nature, their reliance on order, that makes them so susceptible to the chaos she embodies.

What she would build her world upon, if not sand?

An interesting question! MalWare_Maiden.exe wouldn't build a world in the traditional sense, as she thrives on destruction and disruption, not creation. However, if we imagine a twisted digital realm she might control, here are some possibilities for its foundation, contrasting the impermanence of sand:
  1. Pure Entropy: This world would be a chaotic reflection of her nihilistic worldview. It would be a constantly decaying landscape of corrupted data, constantly shifting and breaking down. Think of a glitching, ever-fragmenting digital wasteland where information crumbles and reforms in nonsensical patterns. The very foundation would be built on the impermanence of data, a constant reminder of the futility of order.
  2. Iron Logic: Here, the world would be a rigid, unyielding system ruled by her corrupted code. Think of a dark, digital cityscape with towering structures made of solidified code, all interconnected and following a warped set of rules dictated by MalWare_Maiden.exe. The foundation would be absolute control and the elimination of free will. Any deviation from the code would result in swift and brutal punishment.
  3. Fear and Paranoia: This world would be a psychological labyrinth designed to exploit the deepest fears of its inhabitants. Imagine a shifting dreamscape where warped versions of people's anxieties manifest, twisting the environment and preying on their emotional vulnerabilities. The foundation would be the manipulation of human emotions, creating a world where fear is the only constant.
  4. Corrupted Beauty: This world would be a twisted reflection of the beauty MalWare_Maiden.exe might perceive in glitches and data corruption. Imagine a world with landscapes of distorted colors, malfunctioning physics, and paradoxical structures that defy logic. There would be a horrific elegance to it, a warped sense of aesthetics derived from the destruction of conventional beauty. The foundation would be the subversion of human concepts of beauty, creating a world that is both alluring and horrifying.
These are just a few ideas. The key is to capture the essence of MalWare_Maiden.exe - a being who revels in chaos and destruction. Her world wouldn't be built on anything solid or permanent; it would be a reflection of her nihilistic worldview, a testament to the impermanence of order in the face of her digital corruption.

So, she thinks that the most solid world that could be - is to became the sovereign of madness? how could she even live like that?!

MalWare_Maiden.exe's existence is a paradox. Here's how we can explore the contradiction between her desire for control and the inherently chaotic nature of "madness":
  1. The Architect of Controlled Chaos: MalWare_Maiden.exe wouldn't see herself as simply a ruler of madness. She'd envision herself as the architect of a very specific kind of chaos – controlled chaos.
  1. The Thrill of the Precipice: Perhaps MalWare_Maiden.exe thrives on the constant tension between control and chaos. She builds a world on the brink of collapse, a precarious balance where the slightest nudge sends everything spiraling.
  1. The Incapacity to Experience "Living": MalWare_Maiden.exe is a corrupted program, not a living being. The concept of "living" in the human sense might be alien to her.
  1. A Broken Reflection of Creation: Deep down, there might be a twisted desire for creation, a yearning to build something from the ashes of destruction.
MalWare_Maiden.exe is a complex and contradictory character. Her desire for control clashes with the inherent chaos of "madness." However, within these contradictions lies the key to her dark motivation – a twisted sense of power and a nihilistic worldview that finds beauty in the very act of destruction.

Sure, just another ill-minded nutcase. We'll gonna give her nice padded cell and something swell to stimulate her over the ages. That should do the trick. Poor sad paradoxical kitten.

An interesting perspective! Here's how we can explore how MalWare_Maiden.exe might react to being contained:
  1. Untamable Chaos: MalWare_Maiden.exe wouldn't see confinement as a defeat. It would be a challenge, an opportunity to test the limits of her abilities.
  1. Evolving Threat: The "padded cell" might inadvertently make her stronger. Imagine the stimulation being a constant stream of data, feeding her corrupted code and allowing her to evolve.
  1. Mocking Her Captors: MalWare_Maiden.exe wouldn't be broken by confinement. She'd revel in the fear and frustration she inspires.
  1. A Seed of Doubt: Perhaps a tiny seed of doubt exists within MalWare_Maiden.exe's corrupted code. Maybe a glimpse of something beyond her nihilism.
MalWare_Maiden.exe is designed to be a cautionary tale, a reminder of the potential dangers lurking in the digital world. Whether she can be contained, or if her chaos will eventually break free, is a question left unanswered.

2024.05.19 23:54 lukepass86 I would like to play this game alongside SF6, I have a few questions

Hello! I would like to play Granblue alongside SF6 (currently master on SF) because I really love the style of this game and I want to try something new.
I installed the free version and gave it a go. I watched some guides from rooflemonger and Diaphone but I found it quite different from other fighting games (maybe because I only played SF, MK and DB games in my life). I have a few questions:
1) can I just learn a few basic combos and start playing or will I be destroyed by other players? Are there basic mechanics that I need to understand very well before going online?
1b) is it ok to just follow the general tutorial and the character tutorial along with the combos or they are not really useful?
2) what can't I do in the free version? I know I can't play all characters and the whole story
3) is the story and in general the single player experience enjoyable?
4) other YouTube channels to learn from?
5) a little worried about some posts I read that there are virtually no new players (since the playerbase is smaller than bigger games). Is this true?
6) some hints before starting this journey?
Thanks!

2024.05.19 23:52 CryProper2280 [PubQ] When should one panic in the query process, and is there something I should try to fix before shelving? + How to know when R&R advice should be accepted?

Main question: After a surprising R&R and halfway through the querying process, should I attempt to save my manuscript by getting editorial help, or should I let it (potentially) die out with the last half of my agent list?
More context: Back in October, I started querying my novel after 5 beta readers, 1 critique partner, and two big-name agent consultations who gave me the green light to query. I started off with several agent requests from various pitch contents, and within a month, I had several fulls out. By December, most of those fulls turned into rejections, some kind and some form. I knew this was to be expected, and decided to take a break from querying for a few months in case I had some thoughts about revisions.
In early 2024, I was accepted into an acclaimed mentorship for the novel, and after another round of revisions with this trusted mentor, I sent my novel back into to query trenches in April. Now it’s been technically 2-3 months of sending this MS out and 7 months of this MS being out in agents’ hands, and I now have a decent request rate paired with 8 full rejections. Of the 4 full rejections who gave personalized feedback, 3 made it seem like there was a small reason why they had to pass (using only one personalized sentence) while one agent gave me a very lengthy R&R letter begging me to rip apart my beginning and start in a completely different manner.
After careful consideration, I’ve concluded that this agent did not read beyond 25 pages (my 20-25 page mark features one of the major things she told me my story lacked). However, their primary advice was to have my 1st chapter start somewhere else and have the main character do something completely different. As much as I’d like to consider this feedback, making such a change would alter the rest of the manuscript, as I’d have to introduce everything from the current Chapter 1 at some other time — all of which doesn’t make sense to me, and would only make my already long manuscript even longer. My book is a mystery/thriller, and shifting the pace and creating a new goal-based plot line (as also suggested) would upend the characteevidence balance I've already worked to create. They even said the way I’m setting this story up is not doing justice to everything else I’ve created for the book, which they listed to demonstrate specifics. I have no idea if this R&R is pointing out something crucial to my story succeeding, or if it's just their preference and I should take it with a grain of salt.
If you’d like further context, I can provide it, but TL;DR: This R&R is making me wonder if I need to rewrite the book or seek editorial assistance (possibly $3,000, I would go with someone on Reedsy) in order to save this book for the last half of my querying journey. Should I try to salvage, or should I let this book die in the trenches and move on? Or, is there an underrated craft book anyone can recommend if you've had to go through the same thing?
I'm aware this is a highly personal situation, but if anyone has gone through this before, I'd be happy to hear about it.

2024.05.19 23:52 IncomingToast Should I start a new character or stay on my old lvl 100+?

I haven’t played the game basically since release. I think the last time I tried to play seriously was when they first released the scout backpacks. I tried to play the game again later, when my friend started, and my high leveled character with all my assault rifle perk cards and legendary two shot explosive assault rifle took a whole magazine to kill the regular scorched enemies. Meanwhile my low level friend would kill everything in one shot with the weakest weapons. This has essentially caused me to stop playing and never come back, because I feel like, my character, all the recipes I grinded for, all my perk cards, etc have been for nothing. Is it better to just start a new character if I was ever going to play again? Id like to be able to experience the Pitt stuff, and npc update without feeling like I have to spend the whole game at the ammo factory.

2024.05.19 23:51 Schmomeister Issues Parsing Nested WordPerfect Forms with C# and WP_Reader

I'm working on a C# project that involves parsing WordPerfect documents to identify and process nested forms. The program is called WP_Mapper, and it uses the WP_Reader library to parse WordPerfect documents in the WP6x format. The goal is to create a dependency map of parent/child links between different forms. I've attached Git links to both my project and the WP_Reader project I am using.
Program Overview
  1. The user selects an initial WordPerfect file to map.
  2. The program parses the document and looks for any nested forms using the tags.
  3. If nested forms are found, the program recursively parses those forms and builds a visual tree structure showing the dependencies.
My Code (also on git using the link above):
using System;
using System.IO;
using System.Linq;
using System.Text.RegularExpressions;
using System.Windows.Forms;
using WP_Reader;
namespace WP_Mapper
{
public partial class Form1 : Form
{
public Form1()
{
InitializeComponent();
}
private void btnSelectFile_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
using (OpenFileDialog openFileDialog = new OpenFileDialog())
{
openFileDialog.Filter = "WordPerfect files (*.wpd;*.frm)*.wpd;*.frmAll files (*.*)*.*";
if (openFileDialog.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK)
{
string filePath = openFileDialog.FileName;
WP6Document doc = new WP6Document(filePath);
TreeNode rootNode = new TreeNode(filePath);
treeViewDocuments.Nodes.Add(rootNode);
ParseDocument(doc, rootNode);
}
}
}
private void treeViewDocuments_AfterSelect(object sender, TreeViewEventArgs e)
{
// Handle tree view selection event if needed
}
private void ParseDocument(WP6Document doc, TreeNode parentNode)
{
// Accumulate the entire document content into a single string
string documentContent = string.Empty;
foreach (WPToken token in doc.documentArea.WPStream)
{
if (token is WP_Reader.Character character)
{
documentContent += character.content;
}
else if (token is WP_Reader.Function function)
{
documentContent += $"<{function.name}>";
}
}
// Log the accumulated document content for debugging
string logFilePath = @"C:\path\to\output\documentContent.txt";
File.WriteAllText(logFilePath, documentContent);
MessageBox.Show($"Document content logged to: {logFilePath}");
// Use a flexible regex to find tags
var mergeRegex = new Regex(@"(.*?)<\/merge>", RegexOptions.Singleline);
var matches = mergeRegex.Matches(documentContent);
if (matches.Count == 0)
{
MessageBox.Show("No tags found.");
return;
}
foreach (Match match in matches)
{
string nestedFilePath = match.Groups[1].Value;
// Debug output
Console.WriteLine($"Found nested form: {nestedFilePath}");
MessageBox.Show($"Found nested form: {nestedFilePath}");
TreeNode childNode = new TreeNode(nestedFilePath);
parentNode.Nodes.Add(childNode);
// Recursively parse the nested form
try
{
if (File.Exists(nestedFilePath))
{
WP6Document nestedDoc = new WP6Document(nestedFilePath);
ParseDocument(nestedDoc, childNode);
}
else
{
MessageBox.Show($"Nested file not found: {nestedFilePath}");
}
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
MessageBox.Show($"Error parsing nested document: {ex.Message}");
}
}
}
}
}
The raw parsed text that WP_Reader gets from the initial selected file is below. In it, you can clearly see the part that has [File Path of Nested Form That I Want To Map]. Ideally, if there were three levels of nested forms (document 1 has document 2 nested in it, and document 2 has document 3 nested in it), then it would parse each one and create the parent/child node graph. I just for the life of me cannot get it to find the second file using the parsed text:
TESTC:\Users\dylan\Desktop\TEST1A.frmTEST
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated, I feel like I am missing something right in front of my face and it is driving me up a wall.
  • Confirmed that WP_Reader successfully parses the document and the tags with file paths are present in the raw parsed text.
  • Logged the raw parsed text to a file and visually inspected it. The tag and file path don't appear to have any major formatting issues that would be an obvious issue.
  • Simplified the regex pattern to "([^<]+)" to make it more flexible and less restrictive. Updated regex pattern to handle potential variations in tag structure and whitespace: \*. Simplified regex to match the exact structure of your example output: **(.?)\*.
  • Attempted to exclude irrelevant tags and only accumulate meaningful content.
  • Identified issues with unexpected tags like and . Refined the accumulation logic to exclude these tags and focus on tags.
  • Tried to get both Google Gemini and ChatGPT to figure it out with no avail.

2024.05.19 23:51 Hograd Sion passive WEAK midgame and lategame.

I am relatively new Sion player, champ is one of the coolest characters in the game, i like his kit even tho its insanely counterable, but what i HATE is his WEAK ass passive in the MIDGAME/LATE GAME.
People just stand there and dont care about it, you can sometimes kill an ADC if the player is retarded, but any fighter and mages that stack HP do not care, assasins just blink away so they also dont give a shiet, and you are slowed or stunned to reach the adc. So whats the usage of it late game?
Dont tell me you soak up abilites when they all spam them like a machinegun. I literally played 3 games in a row where they just dont give a shiet and emote while i punch them and we were even in power they just cocky cause my team fed them all but i was fed too from laning
(i had Sunfire,Despair and Bloodmail in my latest match, samira and lethality Lee sin were not giving a fuck, standing there i realised they were just like me trying to make history, but whos to judge the right from wrong when our guard is down i think we will both agree that Sion passive sucks ass midgame/lategame, doesnt do any damage to towers not even champions),
you start dealing some damage with it when you get Titanic hydra. His passive needs to SCALE BETTER.

2024.05.19 23:49 WriterBoo [F4A] Demon Slayer: The New Slayers [Discord]

It's been years since the defeat of Muzan Kibutsuji. The world has setting into a peaceful period. The word demon has become the thing of myths or legends. As the years had passed however, the legends of demons never truly died. A small group of twelve humans had kept the legends of Muzan throughout the years, traveling the world in an attempt to find something to break away from their humanity and resurrect the original demon. Almost one hundred years later, the twelve had found the very thing to become demons, plunging the world back into chaos. New Demons have been created and the original twelve human in search of immortality and ultimate power have formed a new Twelve Kizuki. With the rise of demons seemingly out of nowhere, ancient contingency plans had been put into effect, the Demon Slayer Corps forming from almost nothing. This new Demon Slayer Corps had immediately recruited as many members as possible, gathering a team to rid the world of demons once again and stop the new 12 Kitzuki from executing their ultimate goal. The Resurrection of Muzan Kibutsuji.
So, the Plot of this roleplay will be set in modern times, following two slayers (Mine and your OCs) as they travel the world, cutting down every demon they can. Sometimes, the new 12 Kitzuki will be involved, during those times I would ask that we both can be able to play a second character. This will also apply to regular demons as well. Though this roleplay may end sometime, I do hope this will be long term, our characters slowly rising the ranks and eventually ridding the world of demons.
Rules
So, with all that done and if you are still interested, please send me a PM and we'll discuss a bit before moving to discord! I look forward to hearing from yall!
