How to Write a Poem Get Essential Tips
How to Write a Poem Get Essential Tips
Learning how to write a poem may be a really rewarding experience that gives you the chance to communicate your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a fresh and imaginative way. Knowing how to compose a poem will improve your writing and enable you to create beautiful poems, regardless of your level of experience. This post will go over the essential components of poetry, how to get started, and editing advice.

What is Poetry?

Poetry is a type of writing that uses a distinctive and frequently rhythmic style to convey concepts, feelings, and narratives. It employs well chosen words, perhaps with rhymes, to evoke strong emotions and mental images in the reader. It’s crucial to concentrate on your feelings and experiences when learning how to write poems. Poetry can be straightforward or complex, but its ultimate goal is to evoke strong emotions in the reader.

Different Types of Poems

Narrative Poems

Poetry that narrates a tale is known as narrative poetry. They share the same characters, storyline, and setting as a novel or short story. Well-known examples are “The Odyssey” by Homer and “The Raven” by Edgar Allan Poe.
To begin learning how to create a poem, consider the narrative you wish to convey. Before you start writing, write a summary of your primary points and characters.
To make the story easier for your readers to picture, use straightforward language and powerful imagery. Composing a narrative poem can be an enjoyable way to incorporate poetic devices with storytelling.

Lyric Poems

Lyric poems are a popular choice when learning how to write a poem. These poems, which are frequently melodic in nature, convey intimate emotions and ideas. They are an excellent place for beginners to start because they are often brief and concentrate on a particular feeling or concept.
Sonnets and odes are two well-known instances. If you want to compose a lyric poem, consider a powerful emotion or event in your life, and then use expressive language to capture that sensation. By using your own experiences, you can establish a strong connection with your readers using this writing approach.

Free Verse

Free verse is a kind of poetry that is more adaptable and imaginative because it doesn’t adhere to set rhyme or rhythmic standards. When learning how to write a poem, Free verse is a great way to start writing poetry because it lets you concentrate on expressing your ideas without having to worry about following rules.
Because it allows you to experiment with words and make original patterns, this style is ideal for novices. Free poetry was a tool employed by well-known poets like Walt Whitman and Langston Hughes to evoke strong feelings and striking imagery. Simply let your thoughts flow when writing a free verse poem; don’t worry about adhering to established poetry conventions.

Haiku

Haiku is a classic style of Japanese poetry that consists of three lines, each of five, seven, and five syllables, to capture a moment in just seventeen words.
A thorough examination of haiku can yield important insights on the craft of poetry writing. Writers are encouraged to use vivid imagery and straightforward language to express complex feelings or insights in this succinct manner.
Haiku writing entails closely observing the natural world or human experiences and condensing them into a small number of well chosen words. Its framework teaches aspiring poets important lessons about how to convey complicated concepts simply by emphasizing brevity and clarity.

Sonnets

They typically have 14 lines and adhere to a particular rhyme scheme. There are several varieties of sonnets, such as the Petrarchan (or Italian) sonnet, which is separated into an octave and a sestet, and the Shakespearean (or English) sonnet, which consists of three quatrains and a final couplet. You may improve your use of meter and rhyme, two crucial elements of good poetry writing, by writing sonnets....Continue reading

2024.06.01 11:17 dwredbaker Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Matthew 27:11-26~" Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest. And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly. Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would. And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him. But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.
These verses describe our Lord's appearance before Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor. That sight must have been astonishing to the angels of God. He who will one day judge the world allowed himself to be judged and condemned, though "he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth." (Isaiah 53:9.) He from whose lips Pilate and Caiaphas will one day receive their eternal sentence, suffered silently an unjust sentence to be passed upon him. Those silent sufferings fulfilled the words of Isaiah, "as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he opens not his mouth." (Isaiah 53:7.) To those silent sufferings believers owe all their peace and hope. Through them they will have boldness in the day of judgment, who in themselves would have nothing to say.
Let us learn from the conduct of Pilate, how pitiful is the condition of an unprincipled great man.
Pilate appears to have been inwardly satisfied that our Lord had done nothing worthy of death. We are told distinctly, "that he knew that for ENVY they had delivered him." Left to the exercise of his own unbiased judgment, he would probably have dismissed the charges against our Lord, and let Him go free.
But Pilate was governor of a jealous and turbulent people. His great desire was to procure favor with them and please them. He cared little how much he sinned against God and conscience, so long as he had the praise of man. Though willing to save our Lord's life, he was afraid to do it, if it offended the Jews. And so, after a feeble attempt to divert the fury of the people from Jesus to Barabbas — and a feebler attempt to satisfy his own conscience, by washing his hands publicly before the people — he at last condemned one whom he himself called "a just person." He rejected the strange and mysterious warning which his wife sent to him after her dream. He stifled the remonstrances of his own conscience. He "delivered Jesus to be crucified."
Behold in this miserable man a lively emblem of many a ruler of this world! How many there are, who know well that their public acts are wrong, and yet have not the courage to act up to their knowledge. They fear the people! They dread being laughed at! They cannot bear being unpopular! Like dead fish, they float with the tide. The praise of man is the idol before which they bow down, and to that idol they sacrifice conscience, inward peace, and an immortal soul.
Whatever our position in life may be, let us seek to be guided by principle, and not by expediency. The praise of man is a poor, feeble, uncertain thing. It is here today, and gone tomorrow. Let us strive to please God, and then we may care little who else is pleased. Let us fear God, and then there is none else of whom we need be afraid.
Let us learn from the conduct of the Jews described in these verses, the desperate wickedness of human nature.
The behavior of Pilate afforded the chief priests and elders an occasion of reconsidering what they were about. The difficulties he raised about condemning our Lord, gave time for second thoughts. But there were no second thoughts in the minds of our Lord's enemies. They pressed on their wicked deed. They rejected the compromise that Pilate offered. They actually preferred having a wretched felon, named Barabbas, set at liberty rather than Jesus. They clamored loudly for our Lord's crucifixion. And they wound up all by recklessly taking on themselves all the guilt of our Lord's death, in words of portentous meaning, "His blood be on us and our children."
And what had our Lord done, that the Jews should hate Him so? He was no robber, or murderer. He was no blasphemer of their God, or reviler of their prophets. He was one whose life was love. He was one who "went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil." (Acts 10:38.) He was innocent of any transgression against the law of God or man. And yet the Jews hated Him, and never rested until He was slain! They hated Him, because He told them the truth. They hated Him, because He testified of their works that they were evil. They hated the light, because it made their own darkness visible. In a word, they hated Christ, because He was righteous and they were wicked, because He was holy and they were unholy — because He testified against sin, and they were determined to keep their sins and not let them go.
Let us observe this. There are few things so little believed and realized as the corruption of human nature. Men imagine that if they saw a perfect person, they would love and admire him. They flatter themselves that it is the inconsistency of professing Christians which they dislike, and not their religion. They forget that when a really perfect man was on earth, in the person of the Son of God, He was hated and put to death. That single fact goes far to prove the truth of Edwards' remark — "unconverted men would kill God, if they could get at Him."
Let us never be surprised at the wickedness there is in the world. Let us mourn over it, and labor to make it less, but let us never be surprised at its extent. There is nothing which the heart of man is not capable of conceiving, or the hand of man of doing. As long as we live, let us mistrust our own hearts. Even when renewed by the Spirit, they are still "deceitful above all things and desperately wicked." (Jer. 17:9.)

2024.06.01 10:08 Litell_Johnn The lyrics of and parallels with the Loona discography

One of the recurring characteristics of Loona's discography up to [X X] was lyrical self-referencing: phrases and motifs that would occur in one song and then reappear down the line. It could be a little too much sometimes, but it was a reliable way to keep up the fan engagement and build something like a lyrical identity for Loona alongside a sonic one.
I wrote a post about this five years ago, and I think Dall is the first album since then to really obviously lean into it. So that warrants a follow-up. This is not a theory post - it only examines the text of the lyrics and what connections I draw there.
Translations below are from our Team Subbit versions. Along the way, I also wanted to highlight a few translation notes for discussion.

Virtual Angel

The last time we saw reference to an angel was "Egoist"'s MV, which cast Jinsoul as a "fallen angel" in big neon letters. It's interesting to me that this song, with its broken wings and vision of Eden, leans most heavily on the yyxy era, with none of those members belonging to ARTMS. Looking past that, lyrically I think it does enough to give a sense of closure to the yyxy stories.
1.
In my frozen heart Flowers have newly bloomed And what I’d hidden inside the freezing point Is my heart for you, encased in ice Your angel
This is a reprise of yyxy's "Frozen", which is entirely about the narrator being trapped in a metaphorical ice castle and being thawed out of it by love. We see the same imagery of flowers blooming to signify the thaw. Here's the chorus of that song:
Frozen, frozen Thaw me before it's too late Shine your light And bloom a flower upon frozen lands Hold me, hold me, oh now, right now Thaw me, thaw me, even warmer for me Hold me, hold me, deeper and deeper Would you become my sun
2.
The sin of having swallowed the sun Forgiven in this moment
The most overt reference in the album is, of course, from "Singing in the Rain"'s iconic prechorus 1:
For the sin of having swallowed the daytime sun Burning up, here I am
And you may remember Jinsoul already called this back in "Egoist"'s rap break:
Hey, for the sin of having swallowed you You, beautiful, grow larger You are me, now I am you
Also a translation note: I think the Modhaus sub on this line is mistaken. It currently reads "The sin of absorbing the sun // The moment it causes harm", which is just not what the original says. My best guess is that someone misread "사해진" ["forgiven", archaic] as "상해진" ["spoiled"].
3.
The Moon’s risen and my heart is complete Your angel
Moonrise is such a common image with Loona that you could name a whole bunch of songs here - "Loonatic", "Satellite", "PTT", "Wow", "Need U", and "Pale Blue Dot" just to name a few. But the way this is written specifically reminded me of two things. One is the chorus of "Let Me In", in the sense that both lines begin with the words "달이 뜨고" ("Moon rises and") followed by some kind of transformation:
The moon rises and I become you
The other is the final chorus of "Heat", where moonrise also functions as a signal:
Today I prepared for you A beautiful star is shining bright (I want to float up higher, above) This isn't the end, look up and look for me (Turn around) There, the moon is risen tonight (tonight, oh)
4.
When I open my eyes as a butterfly Save me, savior
References to Loona's most representative song, "Butterfly", have been the most common shared thread among post-lawsuit work: see Loossemble's "A Butterfly's Signal" or Heejin's "Sad Girls Club". This one is kind of random and I think it actually takes away from the song's focus a little, but it's there.
Another translation note that the "저장" ("save") in "save me" is not the word for "rescue", but instead the one for "preserve" or "keep" - like saving a digital file. So the line is not as redundant as it looks, and also helps prime for the next line where Haseul says happiness is "through the line" (which I'm reading as in electronic cords and cables).

Sparkle

1.
Before the Sun goes down Come fetch quickly For the Moon will rise soon
It's moonrise again, but with a subtle difference. The verb used in "Virtual Angel", "Let Me In", and "Heat" is "뜨다", literally just "to rise". This one is "차오르다", which is actually more commonly used to mean the waxing of the Moon. The translation chosen here is "rise" because it's not unheard of for it to be used as "rise" and it contrasts with the sundown line above, but worth highlighting.
Trivia: has any Loona song used the "wax" verb before? Yes! One I recall is "365", where Loona liken themselves to the Moon:
I'd grow ever so small but then A tad closer towards you Again I wax and wane
2.
A different emotion We follow the light
I don't actually think this is a throwback because it's a common phrase, but I just wanted to highlight just how many times "follow the light" is used in the discography because it's a lot. All of these use the exact same phrasing ("빛을 따라") even when translated slightly differently for context.
Sonatine, bridge:
Following the faraway light
Chaotic, bridge:
Following that light, reach out to me
Rosy, bridge:
Following that light, shining on me quietly
Day & Night, prechorus:
Like a habit, I walk towards your light
Flip That, prechorus:
Following the new light that pulls me still
Day by Day, verse 1:
Following the light engraved in old memories

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

This is one of the most celestially-themed tracks any of them have ever done, which is saying something given the entire discography. As a result it has passing shades of a lot of different tracks that I won't bother to name, like the blooming image of "Chaotic" and the orbiting of "Satellite". The 12 constellations and 12 months bits are super on the nose and I'm all for it.
1.
Following the twinkling Morse code I am called dimly Click click, right here [...] The signal comes through clearly Click click, here
The most obvious parallel is another yyxy song, "Rendezvous 18.6y". Both tracks use radio signals and scanning/tuning them as a metaphor for yearning and connection, and Hitchhiker massively expands the scale of that metaphor. Here's the opening verse of Rendezvous:
Where is it from? A sound coming from somewhere Seems to have found me again, this familiar radio tone (8 point 5, what is your signal?) Among the many faint noises, coming clear Is your feelings, making me fly (fly fly fly)
While we're at it, even this jazz-standard line is kind of a throwback.
Hitchhiker:
Fly me to the moon
R18.6y:
Let's stay on the moon On the way back there [...] Let me fly to the moon
2.
Tonight perhaps two Moons may rise
The obvious comparison is Loonatic, which goes:
Three moons rise up (I'm not insane)
and also has Milky Way references just like this song. The other line that's kind of written like this is "PTT"'s "Keep open the 12 different doors", though I think I'm content to let those lyrics lie.

Flower Rhythm

1.
Adorning the sky, mystical sway Causes your heart to open too
So this reminded me of OEC's "Starlight", but only because I thought that song also combined the word "수놓다" ("to embroider", but more often used metaphorically for stars or other shiny things in the sky) with a sense of something opening. What "Starlight" actually says is this:
Like lighting in the sky The starlight slowly turns on The password solved, this night unlocks
So it was kind of similar (the "unlock" there is the same word as "open"), just without the word "adorn".
More trivia: that embroideadorn word is used in four songs -
D-1, verse 1:
Rainbow of shining stars, the studded bridge
U R, chorus:
It’s like the dotted starlight Is surrounding me
Newtopia, verse 1:
Following the tip of the star-adorned orbit
Day by Day, verse 2:
Adorning my heart full

Candy Crush

Given the subject matter, there are some natural similarities to Choerry's "Puzzle" and the aforementioned "Starlight". I love the spilling/showering light imagery at the start, which "Need U" also pulled off well:
The deepest night Light showering above my head (Candy Crush)
And stars of such faith rain down They rain to make the whole universe shine (Need U)
But I didn't notice any specific wording that hearkens back to older songs. (Obviously "Plastic Candy" can't count since it's the whole song's reference.)

Air

1.
Been been there and I’ve been been there Feel it, what what, a totally different deja vu
As we know, this is just "Butterfly". The first line is obvious and the second line is the opener of that song:
Will you whisper, you're the deja vu that wakes me up
I'm not sure there's anything else in this one, other than "Air Force One" which again shouldn't count. Daft Punk I guess?

Unf/air

This one stands out lyrically from the rest of the album, because of how down-to-earth and comparatively mundane it is. Reminds me of "Valentine Girl" and "Ding Ding Dong" in vibes, if not in expression.

Distress

It's a little curious to me that they translated this title to "Distress". It's not totally wrong, but the word "조난" specifically refers to a shipwreck or stranding. That's the reason why the song refers to signs, lights and sirens, and the context for its overall sense of being lost and drifting. I guess a distress call is maybe what they were going for.
1.
Between the time I’ve waited Always that same light
The concept of being or going "between time" is not uncommon in lyricism, probably because it's evocative yet ambiguous. I also don't think this one is an intentional callback, just a reused phrase. We see it in a few spots in the discography (interestingly, they're all songs mentioned already).
Puzzle, prechorus 1:
Between the cracks of time that passed by, you graze through
Loonatic, last chorus:
Three moons rise up (I'm not insane) Between time that has stopped
D-1, verse 1:
Between a changed passage of time
Rendezvous 18.6y, verse 2:
Beyond the gaps between renewed time and space

Butterfly Effect

As they have said, this is basically a Butterfly sequel. Perfect title as well.
1.
Do you remember The way it began as a little fluttering of wings I’m still believing Ever since that day, it grew, the hurricane in my heart (Butterfly Effect)
It starts with a little fluttering of wings Now inside my heart a hurricane (Butterfly)
2.
The torn paper moon It’s drifted too far away now, can’t reach it (Butterfly Effect)
A folded paper moon, as if to circle between it (Butterfly)
3.
Full of newness, at the end of the long journey I think I’ve reached it, dream of mine Look at the world, distant, at the end of the long journey I think it’s a new beginning, dreams of mine (Butterfly Effect)
The world becomes smaller Take me way too far, become new In this moment dreams, dreams may come true (Butterfly)

Birth

I've posted a comment before about how the Modhaus translation departs from the original. Other than that, this is a wholly original text that doesn't really have a comparison among Loona's past lyrics. Maybe it could be a new archetype for ARTMS.
I will make one shoutout to the "My birth through a false smile" line. It's like a yandere version of the "My day filled with fake smiles" bit from "See Saw".

2024.06.01 07:41 retrocorner85 Were the rulers in John 12:42 saved?

"Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue. For they loved human praise more than the praise of God." John 12:42-43 NKJV
I did Bible study yesterday with a friend when we came over John 12:42 and we both could not figure out whether the rulers talked about here were saved or not. They believed in Jesus, so on one hand I would assume they were, but on the other hand, they also did not confess Him because they were afraid and they valued the praise of men more than the praise of God.
I'm personally leaning towards that they were saved because they believed in Him, but these verses shows us that even when we are saved we will struggle with the flesh.
What are your thoughts?

As someone who frequently uses skeet mobil chokes, I've recently come across the Iver Johnson choke tube for 20-gauge shotguns. This choke tube comes with a sleek, modern design that perfectly suits my needs.
The Mobil choke style threads on this choke tube make it quick and easy to attach to my shotgun. This feature allows for easy installation and removal without any hassle. The extended flush design works seamlessly with my shotgun, providing a snug fit and enhanced performance. I am quite impressed with the 20-gauge gauge, which is perfect for my skeet shooting needs.
While I've had a great experience with this Iver Johnson choke tube, I must admit that it can be a bit tough to remove sometimes. However, the trade-off for the secure fit is worth it in my opinion. If you're looking for a high-performance choke tube for your 20-gauge shotgun, you can't go wrong with this Iver Johnson Skeet mobil choke.

Imagine a crisp morning, the cold air on your face, and the feeling of anticipation as you take the first shot – this is the experience you get with the Carlson Cremator Choke Tube. As someone who loves testing high-quality hunting gear, I was eager to try this new addition to my arsenal. I installed the tube wrench-free and smooth, the promise of a perfect shot becoming more palpable.
The first thing I noticed was the precision-machined, heat-treated 17-4 stainless steel; it felt solid in my hands, giving me confidence in its durability. The. 725 diameter tube offered a more dense pattern, and the Triple Shot Technology made every shot count. However, I also noticed the reduction of flyers, which was a pleasant surprise.
Several times during the hunt, I found myself wishing for a little more range, but the 25% longer parallel section helped me to create tighter patterns and get those birds that others had missed. Although the product didn't come with a wrench, the wrench-less installation and quick removal was a game-changer for those on the move.
Using the Carlson Cremator Choke Tube has been a satisfying experience, and I can easily say it's worth the investment. With its precise machining and high-quality materials, it has become a reliable companion in my hunting adventures.

The Primos Jellyhead TSS Mobile. 410 choke tube has been a game-changer in my turkey hunting adventures. At first, I was skeptical about the hype surrounding the TSS load, but once I tried it out, I couldn't believe the difference it made in my hunting success.
The super-tight and evenly spread pattern of the TSS Jelly Head allowed me to land shots that I could have only dreamed of before. Installing and removing the choke tubes without any tools was a breeze, which made my life as a hunter a lot easier. I truly appreciate that the TSS choke tubes cater specifically to the TSS load, making my turkey hunting experience even more enjoyable.
Despite the incredible results I've seen, there is one aspect of the TSS Jelly Head that I think could use improvement. The extended length, while convenient, tends to snag on branches and other foliage more often than the flush-mounted ones. However, this inconvenience is outweighed by the benefits of the TSS load and the incredible accuracy that the Jelly Head provides.
Overall, the Primos TSS Jelly Head Choke Tubes are a must-have for any serious turkey hunter. Their accuracy and ease of use make them a worthy addition to any hunting arsenal.

🔗High-Quality Stoeger Condor Choke Tube Assembly for Better Performance

When I first heard about the V-Twin Manufacturing Choke Tube Assembly, I knew I had to give it a try. I'm always on the lookout for ways to enhance my Stoeger Condor shotgun's performance, and this seemed like just the ticket.
The installation process was a breeze, and I was impressed with how seamlessly it fit into my gun. The quality was top-notch, and it definitely met or even exceeded the OEM standards. I must say, the difference in the gun's performance was palpable. The gun felt smoother, and the shots were tighter and more controlled.
However, one downside that I noticed was that it made the gun a bit louder than it used to be. But all things considered, the benefits definitely outweighed the noise. Overall, I highly recommend this product for any Stoeger Condor user looking to bump up their gun's performance.

🔗Stoeger Condor Full Choke Tube with .590 Diameter

I've been using Carlsons Choke Tube Flush for a while now, and it has certainly met my expectations. The full choke construction and the. 590 diameter proved to be quite reliable when using steel shot. It's been a game-changer for me, especially when going for long-range shots. The best part is that it's compatible with quite a few shotguns, including Stoeger Condor Tube.
Of course, there are always a few things I wish were different. For one, the steel and stainless design could use a little more durability. I've had some issues with it wearing out over time. Also, while the full choke does a good job with a wide range of shots, I've found that it could use a little more precision for the really tight shots.
But overall, despite those minor issues, I've had a great experience using Carlsons Choke Tube Flush in my daily life. It's a solid addition to any hunting arsenal, especially if you're looking for a reliable full choke that works well with steel shot.

🔗Iver Johnson 20ga. Extended Stainless Steel Choke Tube for Flush or Extended Thread Pattern

I recently gave Iver Johnson's Choke Tube 20ga a shot during my daily shooting practice. I was initially drawn to its sleek, extended stainless steel design and the improved cylinder mobil choke. It worked wonders on my Stoeger Condor.
The choke tube was incredibly easy to install, and I appreciated the MOBIL thread pattern that ensured a tight, secure fit. Not only did it offer a reliable performance, but it also allowed for great versatility, perfect for adjusting my shot pattern to fit different targets.
However, one downside I encountered was the choke tube's tendency to get quite hot, especially during extended shooting sessions. It might be worth considering a heat-resistant material for future designs. Overall, Iver Johnson's Choke Tube 20ga proved to be a game-changer for my Stoeger Condor, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their shooting experience.

🔗Maximum Turkey Choke for 12 Gauge Shotguns

https://preview.redd.it/mskvaxqd7w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=576a289ebcf77345861fe18b1ae0954f882cab0e
In the world of turkey hunting, having the right tools can make all the difference. The Primos Jelly Head Maximum turkey choke has proven to be a game-changer for many hunters, myself included. The extended taper of this choke tube helps tighten patterns, making every shot count, even at long distances. The fluted ports reduce recoil significantly, keeping the gun comfortable to use even after countless shots.
This choke tube is designed specifically for 12 gauge guns and has been approved for use with both regular lead shot and Hevi-Shot copper plated shot. It's perfect for shots ranging from 30 to 45 yards, making it the ideal choice for enthusiasts seeking maximum accuracy and minimum felt recoil.
One of the most impressive features is the compatibility with various shot sizes, ensuring a tight pattern no matter the ammunition used. I've personally seen this choke work wonders, with some hunters even managing to hit their targets from impressive distances.
However, as with any tool, it's not without its drawbacks. The compatibility with specific shot sizes means it may not be as versatile as other options on the market. Nonetheless, the Primos Jelly Head Maximum turkey choke stands out for its precision and performance, making it a must-have for serious turkey hunters.

🔗Benelli M2 Turbo Choke Tube for 20 Gauge with Black-T Coating

https://preview.redd.it/9kzs68zl7w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=136d456a2596cd280f9d8d91a4ecec279d2632fa
After trying the Primos 69411 Maximum for a few hunting sessions, I must say that the extended taper and fluted ports certainly tighten up my shot patterns significantly. This choke tube, with its. 570 constriction, reduced recoil, and black-t coating, has proven its worth in my experience.
The black-t coating is a fantastic feature that protects the choke tube from rust and corrosion, providing durability and reliability in the field. On the other hand, I found that there were some small inconveniences when dealing with the packaging and the size compatibility mentioned on the website. However, these were minor issues in comparison to the overall performance of the choke tube.
In conclusion, the Primos 69411 Maximum is a solid choice for turkey hunters looking for a high-performance choke tube at a reasonable price. The extended taper, fluted ports, and black-t coating make a great combination, providing both pattern tightness and durability. Nonetheless, it would be helpful if the company could improve its website's descriptions and ease of return process.

I recently had the chance to try out the Primos Jellyhead TSS Invector. 410. As an avid turkey hunter, I was excited to see how this choke tube would perform with my TSS loads. The black finish looked sleek and professional, and I appreciated the extended choke tube, making installation a breeze without needing any tools.
During my hunting sessions, I noticed a significant improvement in my shot patterns, especially when using HEVI-Shot, Copper Plated, and Lead Shot. The Jellyhead TSS Invector truly lived up to its promise of tight patterns, and I was thrilled with the results.
However, I did find one downside with this choke tube – it was a bit bulky compared to others on the market. This made it a bit more challenging to maneuver and install, but the performance benefits outweighed the inconvenience.
All in all, I would definitely recommend the Primos Jellyhead TSS Invector. 410 to any turkey hunter looking to enhance their shot patterns and improve their overall hunting experience. Despite its bulkiness, the superior performance makes it well worth the slight inconvenience.

🔗High-Quality Small Block Choke Tube Set for 8-Cylinder Engines

Using the Scott Drake MCT001 in my daily life has been a game-changer. Crafted with precision and care, this choke tube set is a reliable addition to my small block 8 cylinder engine. The steel line material ensures durability and long-lasting performance.
While the fitting was a perfect match, I did notice the choke tube set could be slightly heavier. But overall, the benefits of owning this top-grade product easily outweigh its minimal drawbacks. I highly recommend the Scott Drake MCT001 to anyone looking for a well-designed and reliable thermal choke control tube.

🔗High-Quality Turkey Hunting Choke Tube

https://preview.redd.it/uo7oh0ym7w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=90341ff2edc1eca4cf07cf1ba81e7696070f801d
As a seasoned hunter, I've had my fair share of experiences with shotgun chokes. When I heard about the Primos Jelly Head Rem Choke, I was intrigued by its promising features. I decided to give it a try and see if it could improve the shot pattern and range of my trusty shotgun.
First things first, installation was a breeze. The choke tube easily screwed onto my shotgun, and it fit snugly without any issue. I was ready to hit the range and give it a test run.
At the range, I was immediately impressed by the performance of the Jelly Head Rem Choke. The shot pattern was significantly denser and tighter compared to my previous choke. I could confidently say that the pattern density had improved by up to 20%. This meant that I could confidently aim at turkeys and hit them with a higher degree of accuracy – a game-changer for any hunter.
Another great feature was the reduction in recoil. Shooting this choke felt much more comfortable as the energy from the shot was better absorbed by my shotgun, protecting my shoulder from the harsh impacts. This not only made my hunting experience more enjoyable but also allowed me to shoot more efficiently and with better control.
However, the Jelly Head Rem Choke did have its drawbacks. While the choke tube provided excellent results with Hevi-Shot, Copper Plated Lead, or Regular Lead, I noticed some issues when shooting with steel shot. The pattern became loose and dispersed, which made me hesitant to use it for geese hunting. This could be a downside for some hunters, but it didn't bother me since I primarily use it for turkey hunting.
In conclusion, the Primos Jelly Head Rem Choke is a top-notch choice for any turkey hunter looking to improve their shot pattern and efficiency throughout the hunting season. With its impressive performance and ease of installation, I highly recommend this choke tube for any hunter looking to level up their gear.

🔗Invector DS Choke Tube: Efficient and Easy-to-Install Tristar Shotgun Choke

https://preview.redd.it/cjyabe7n7w3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5f6fbe3b33f8287eb75d337c5bc5889f4a736a05
In my experience with the Browning Invector DS Choke, it's like having a trusty sidekick at your side while shooting. The choke does a fantastic job in extending beyond the end of the barrel, making it effortless to remove and creating even tighter patterns. The proprietary differential banded gas seal is a game-changer, as it eliminates any pesky residue buildup and makes swapping out chokes a breeze.
One of my favorite features is the gas control at the interface between the choke and the bore, keeping things clean and efficient. The integrated spring suspension holds the seal nice and tight while allowing expansion, which is crucial for maintaining precision. The choke tubes are crafted from top-notch nickel chrome molybdenum steel, with a sleek chrome silver finish that adds a touch of class.
However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows with this choke. It does have a rather lengthy 7.70-inch profile, which may be a bit of a stretch for some shooters. Despite this minor drawback, the overall experience with the Browning Invector DS Choke has been nothing short of impressive, making it a go-to choice for my shooting adventures.

One thing that stood out was the compact size of the choke tube set. Weighing in at just 2.08 ounces and measuring 4.3 x 2.7 x 1.6 inches, it was easy to store and transport. However, I did notice that the choke tubes did not come with specific size labels, which could have been helpful for beginners.
Overall, the Becker's Exclusive Kits SF12601K Choke Tube Set proved to be a valuable addition to our educational supplies. The high-quality materials, combined with the variety of choke tubes, made it a no-brainer for our car and race car lessons. FAQ

What is a 410 choke tube set?

A 410 choke tube set is a collection of interchangeable, adjustable parts that fit onto the muzzle of a 410 shotgun to control the spread of shot and improve accuracy by restricting and directing the pattern of the shot. These sets consist of different types of chokes, such as improved cylinder, modified, full, and extended, allowing shooters to select the right one for their specific shooting scenario.

What is the difference between a cylinder and a modified choke?

A cylinder choke is the least restrictive, while a modified choke is slightly more restrictive. A cylinder choke allows for a larger pattern spread, making it suitable for close-range shooting or when the target is not a small one. On the other hand, a modified choke restricts the pattern slightly, making it a better choice for medium-range shooting or when the target size is smaller.

What is the purpose of a full choke?

A full choke is the most restrictive choke in the set and is designed for long-range shooting. It greatly reduces the pattern spread, allowing for a smaller and more concentrated pattern. This makes it ideal for hunting at longer distances or when target sizes are very small.

Can I change choke tubes between different brands of 410 shotguns?

Yes, you can change choke tubes between different brands of 410 shotguns, as long as the shotgun's bore diameter and thread size match those of the choke tube set. However, it is essential to ensure that the new choke tube set is compatible with your shotgun before making any changes.

How do I remove and install a choke tube?

  • Unscrew the current choke tube from the muzzle of your shotgun using a choke wrench or your hand if the threads are not too tight.
  • Remove any excess oil or dirt from the muzzle's threads and the choke tube.
  • Apply a thin coat of thread locking compound to the new choke tube's threads, ensuring even coverage.
  • Screw the new choke tube onto the muzzle of your shotgun, applying even pressure to avoid damaging the threads or the choke tube.
  • Tighten the choke tube until it is secure, then use a choke wrench or your hand to tighten the threads further.

Do I need to clean my 410 choke tube set?

Yes, it is essential to clean your 410 choke tube set to ensure proper function and longevity. After each use, remove the choke tube and clean it with a gun cleaning solvent, following the manufacturer's instructions. Be sure to also clean the muzzle and the shotgun itself to maintain its overall condition.

It utterly confounds me that some Muslims are willing to go against the clear text of the Quran, and not just their beliefs, but are willing to kill on the basis of anything external to the Quran.
Imagine this scenario, it’s the day of judgement and your record is handed to you in your left hand. You’re shocked, you used to pray tahajjud, you were an alim and a hafidth of the Quran, there was not a Sunnah you missed, nor a homeless person you did not feed, and yet, still, your record is in your left hand.
You look down at the ledger, and see all of the good deeds you did on the right of your record, the pages are overflowing, but on the left, a single word: murder.
You’re confused for a moment, yes, you killed a man, but he was an apostate who was spreading Fitna about Islam. Surely you should be rewarded right ? He renounced his religion, your shiekh told you his blood was Halal ! You spent twenty years in prison suffering for the act, but you were sure it was justified !
You look back down on the page, and you see the word murder, which was just a single word, suddenly get doubled, and doubled again, until one page is filled, you flip the page, and both pages are suddenly filled with the word murder. You run through multiple pages, and the whole book is suddenly filled with the same word, murder, murder, murder. The ink is blood red and stains your hand with blood when you touch it.
Suddenly, you hear a voice reading the Quran, but instead of the peace hearing the Quran once brought you, today it fills your heard with dread as you hear its meaning:
"If anyone kills a person, it would be as if he killed the whole people: and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people" [5:32]
Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason? [2:44]
You say he denied you, and so I killed him for fear of what would happen to the Muslim community according to Islamic law.
You are handed a Quran and are asked to produce the verse. You look down and the book is blank except for the following:
There are verses that deal with punishment of apostasy: “Whoever of you reverts from his religion and dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.” (Surat al-Baqarah: 217)
“Those who reject the message after their belief and then increase in disbelief - never will their repentance be accepted, and they are the ones astray.” (Surat al-Imran: 90)
“Those who have believed then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, and then increased in disbelief - never will Allah forgive them...” (Surat an-Nisa’: 137)
You read out the verses, and are then asked, where in these verses are you granted the right to kill ? You are asked, how would they be able to flip between belief and disbelief if you killed them ?
Frightened, you keep flicking through, looking for something, anything, that would support you. The following Verses appear:
O you who have attained to faith! Be ever steadfast in your devotion to God, bearing witness to the truth in all equity; and never let hatred of any one lead you into the sin of deviating from justice Be just: this is the closest to being God-conscious [5:8]
Let there be no compulsion in religion, for the truth stands out clearly from falsehood.. So whoever renounces false gods and believes in Allah has certainly grasped the firmest, unfailing hand-hold. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. [2:256]
Had your Lord so willed ˹O Prophet˺, all ˹people˺ on earth would have certainly believed, every single one of them! Would you then force people to become believers? [10:99]
(So Allah allows people to mislead themselves and doesn’t kill them instantly when they disbelieve, whoever you want to change what Allah has ordained and assist him in punishment - associating yourself and your self-proclaimed righteousness with Allah.)
We have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ this Book with the truth, as a confirmation of previous Scriptures and a supreme authority on them. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires over the truth that has come to you. To each of you We have ordained a code of law and a way of life. If Allah had willed, He would have made you one community, but His Will is to test you with what He has given ˹each of˺ you. So compete with one another in doing good. To Allah you will all return, then He will inform you ˹of the truth˺ regarding your differences. [5:48]
(This should scare the hell out of you - what if you’re wrong ?)
So, ˹continue to˺ remind ˹all, O Prophet˺, for your duty is only to remind. You are not ˹there˺ to compel them ˹to believe˺. [88 : 21-22]
(If the Prophet isn’t even allowed to compel belief - let alone to kill, who are you to give yourself the right to do so when Allah did not grant that right even to the Prophet ?)
There should be no compulsion in religion. Surely, right has become distinct from wrong; so whosoever refuses to be led by those who transgress, and believes in Allah, has surely grasped a strong handle which knows no breaking. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing [18:30]
(The Quran is clear, don’t compel, or do you wish to add your interpretation to limit Allah’s words when he did not ?)
Those who believe, then disbelieve, then again believe, then disbelieve, and then increase in disbelief, Allah will never forgive them nor will He guide them to the way. [4:138]
(Simple logic, how could this occur, if you are supposed to kill them after the first time ?)
"Judgment rests with God alone" [ 12:40]
You are scrambling, but ever justification you give is met with “LIAR!” You are dragged away, judgement is passed and enter your home, to abide therein favour. You curse the man that convinced you to commit this evil, but just as soon as you think it, this verse is read to you:
”Woe to me! I wish I had never taken so-and-so as a close friend. It was he who truly made me stray from the Reminder after it had reached me.” And Satan has always betrayed humanity. The Messenger has cried, “O my Lord! My people have indeed received this Quran with neglect.” Similarly, We made enemies for every prophet from among the wicked, but sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and Helper. [25:28-31]
When the Quran is so clear on the gravity of taking a life, when Allah directly commands the Prophet only to be a warner and not to compel belief, how then can you say you have any right to do what the Prophet himself was commanded by Allah not to do in the Quran ? You dishonor Islam and the Prophet when you claim this is what he taught, when no the Quran is crystal clear. Punishment with regards to belief lies only with Allah, and no one should be forced to believe. How can they have the correct Nia of pleasing Allah, when it is only fear, fear of social pressure, that keeps them in the faith ? Let those who want to leave leave, truth stands clear from error.
“So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. You are not over them a controller. However, he who turns away and disbelieves - Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. [88:21-24]
It is not for you to do anything. Let whoever wants follow their desires, but do not say that Islam commands something that it does not, or Allah commands something that he does not, you will be held accountable for what you say, and if people leave the religion because you supported a position you could not defend with the words of Allah, your fear of Allah would have stopped you from speaking without evidence from the Quran. May Allah guide you to abandon the belief that Islam needs a sword to keep people believing in it. It doesn’t. Islam doesn’t need you to take belief into your own hands, it is a matter Allah has declared is for himself alone.
”Indeed, to Us is their return.” [88:25]

2024.06.01 05:37 JustKidding456 Second Sunday after Pentecost: Gospel Reading (CPH The Lutheran Study Bible)

Have a blessed week ahead.
Gospel According to Mark 2:23–28:
Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath
One Sabbath he was going through the grainfields, and as they made their way, his disciples began to pluck heads of grain. And the Pharisees were saying to him, “Look, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?” And he said to them, “Have you never read what David did, when he was in need and was hungry, he and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God, in the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those who were with him?” And he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
Engelbrecht, E. A. (2009). The Lutheran Study Bible. Concordia Publishing House:
2:23–28 When the Pharisees accuse Jesus’ disciples of violating the Sabbath, Jesus uses the opportunity to claim divine authority and assert His messianic status. Sadly, there are people today who still level criticisms like the Pharisees of old, criticizing Jesus’ followers because they really wish to criticize the authority and status of the Lord. But neither Jesus nor His Church can be dismissed. Through these same disciples, Jesus would spread the good news of peace, rest, and comfort. • Lord, defend Your people from those who hate You and would therefore do harm to Your Church. Help the Church to see that the battle is Yours and that You can do all things. Amen.
Engelbrecht, E. A. (2009). The Lutheran Study Bible. Concordia Publishing House:
(c = circa — cf = confer — NT = New Testament — vv = verses — Ex = Exodus — Dt = Deuteronomy — Is = Isaiah — Dn = Daniel — Mt = Matthew — Rm = Romans — Gal = Galatians — Heb = Hebrews — Jas = James — 1Pt = 1 Peter — Luth = Martin Luther — AE = Luther, Martin. Luther’s Works. American Edition. General editors Jaroslav Pelikan and Helmut T. Lehmann. 56 vols. St. Louis: Concordia, and Philadelphia: Muhlenberg and Fortress, 1955–86.)
2:23 See note, Dt 23:24–25: “God demands charity and hospitality but protects the owner from being taken advantage of. Such an attitude of charity and hospitality toward others is also expected of NT believers (cf Rm 12:9–13; Gal 6:10; Heb 13:2; Jas 2:14–18; 1Pt 4:8–11).”
2:24 not lawful. See note, Mt 12:2: “The Pharisees resumed their faultfinding (Mt 9:11, 34). The Law of Moses forbade all forms of work on the Sabbath (Ex 31:13–15), including the harvesting of grain (Ex 34:21; Dt 5:14), which the Pharisees accused the disciples of doing.”
2:25–26 See note, Mt 12:3–4: “Jesus cited a biblical example familiar to the Pharisees in order to claim authority as great as Israel’s greatest king. David demanded five loaves of bread from the priest at the tabernacle in Nob, a village just east of Jerusalem. Twelve sacred loaves were placed before the Lord every Sabbath as a thank offering and were to be eaten only by the priests. However, only this “holy bread” was available for David and his men, and so they ate it. Jesus, the Son of David, likewise allowed that it was more important on this occasion for His followers to eat than to rest on the Sabbath.”
2:27 Sabbath was made for man. Jesus clarifies God’s purpose in establishing the Sabbath: this day of rest was primarily intended to restore people, not make them slaves of arbitrary rules and regulations. Luth: “Man was especially created for the knowledge and worship of God; for the Sabbath was not ordained for sheep and cows but for men, that in them the knowledge of God might be developed and might increase” (AE 1:80).
2:28 Jesus’ reason for referring to the story of David eating the holy bread (vv 25–26) comes clear: the Lord of the Sabbath—Jesus—is greater than King David. This bold claim to divinity is not lost on Jesus’ critics, as 3:2, 6 show. Son of Man. Favorite self-designation of Jesus, used c 80 times in the Gospels but almost never in the rest of the NT. Its meaning varies somewhat depending on the context. Indicates that though Jesus is fully man, He is much more. As a messianic title, it combines the ideas of a servant who will suffer and die for all people (Is 53; Mt 20:28) and the exalted Son of Man, whose reign is everlasting (Dn 7:13–14; Mt 24:30).

2024.06.01 03:44 SpamHamJamPanCan The Pink Gorilla

The Pink Gorila
In the whispering darkness of Romania's ancient landscapes, a man found himself on an urgent business quest, his trusty but weary car his only steed. The journey began smoothly on the highway until a serpent-like snarl of cars halted his progress. With the aid of modern technology, he sought an alternative path, leading him into the embracing arms of winding mountain roads, under the watchful gaze of towering pines that whispered secrets of old.
As the road serpentined through the mountains, the car, much like a steed of old tales, started to protest its heavy burden. A steep ascent loomed, challenging the vehicle's resolve. The man, his heart a mix of determination and doubt, urged it onward until—a loud BANG shattered the moment, a sound reminiscent of ancient battles, echoing off the mountain walls. The car trembled and stuttered, barely cresting the hill before it succumbed to silence.
The descent was a silent glide, the only sounds being the whisper of wind and the occasional ominous hoot of an unseen owl. The car, now a silent ghost of itself, came to a rest in the embrace of the dark road. The man's hope dimmed like the fading light of his phone, the lifeline to the outside world now a dying ember.
Determined, he set forth on foot, the crunch of gravel underfoot his constant companion. The road gave way to a mysterious path, leading to a gate that groaned and moaned like a creature from a bygone era as it allowed him passage. The mansion that awaited was a giant, slumbering in the moonlight, its grandeur both awe-inspiring and unsettling.
The giant wooden doors opened with a groan, revealing a world untouched by time. The butler, a silent specter, led the man through halls adorned with echoes of grandeur and whispers of the past. The invitation to stay was both a blessing and a veil to a mystery that lay deeper within the heart of the mansion.
The butler's revelation of the pink gorilla was a scene straight from the pages of a gothic novel, the creature a vibrant anomaly in the shadowed room. The man's curiosity, once piqued, became an obsession, leading him through the mansion's veins, driven by the need to uncover the truth.
The final confrontation, a cacophony of sounds—shrieks of bent metal, the furious roar of the gorilla, and the desperate pounding of the man's heart—culminated in a moment of surreal humor. "You're it," the gorilla declared, a sentence that hung in the air like a twisted punchline, blending fear, confusion, and an absurd sense of camaraderie.
In this extended tale, the journey through Romania's heartland became not just a physical trial but a voyage into the unexpected, where every creak, roar, and silent whisper wove a richer tapestry of adventure, mystery, and an unforgettable encounter with the surreal.
As the echo of the gorilla's declaration faded into the night, the man stood frozen, a cocktail of emotions swirling within him. The absurdity of the situation clashed with the primal fear that had gripped him moments before, leaving him in a state of bewildered amusement. The gorilla, having delivered its message, seemed to regard him with a semblance of curiosity, its eyes glinting in the moonlight that filtered through the torn roof of the car.
The man, now catching his breath, realized the predicament he found himself in was far from ordinary. He was in the heart of Romania, face to face with a creature that defied explanation, in a scenario that seemed to leap from the pages of a storybook. Yet, here he was, his heart pounding not just from fear but from the thrill of the unexpected.
With a newfound resolve, he decided to embrace the madness of the moment. "Well, I suppose it's my turn then," he said, more to himself than to the gorilla, who seemed to cock its head slightly, as if understanding. The man slowly exited the remnants of his car, cautiously stepping around the gorilla, which surprisingly made no move to stop him.
As he walked back towards the mansion, a plan began to form in his mind. He would find the butler, demand answers, and perhaps, just perhaps, turn this nightmarish adventure into an opportunity. After all, not everyone can say they've played tag with a pink gorilla in a Romanian mansion.
The mansion, now silent, seemed to watch his return with a sense of anticipation. The doors, once daunting, now invited him in, as if welcoming him back from a journey of initiation. Inside, the mansion was a labyrinth of shadows and whispers, the history of its walls mingling with the man's own story.
He found the butler in the grand foyer, polishing an ancient vase with a care that seemed out of place in the chaos of the night. "Ah, you've returned. And how did you find our resident jest?" the butler asked, without turning, his voice echoing slightly in the vast space.
The man, pausing to catch his breath, replied, "I believe it's my turn now." The butler simply nodded, as if this was the expected response, and gestured for the man to follow him once more.
This time, their destination was not the hidden cage but a library filled with books that seemed as ancient as the mansion itself. The butler handed him a tome, its cover worn by time, titled "The Lore of the Land." "Perhaps this will shed some light on your encounter," the butler suggested, before leaving the man alone with his thoughts and the book.
As the first light of dawn began to filter through the tall windows, the man poured over the pages, discovering tales of creatures and legends that painted a world beyond the ordinary, a world where perhaps, a pink gorilla in a Romanian mansion wasn't so out of place after all.
His adventure, which began as a simple business trip, had transformed into a journey of discovery, not just of the mysteries hidden in the heart of Romania but of his own capacity for wonder and belief in the extraordinary. As the sun rose, casting a golden glow over the mansion, the man knew that no matter the outcome of his original quest, he had already uncovered a story worth more than any deal he could have hoped to close.
As the dawn's light unfurled across the sprawling estate, casting shadows and revelations in equal measure, the man felt a profound shift within. The mansion, with its myriad secrets and whispered histories, seemed no longer a mere relic of the past but a living, breathing entity that had chosen him to unveil one of its countless mysteries. The book in his hands, a bridge to the arcane and the marvelous, whispered of worlds parallel yet intersecting with our own, where the fabric of reality was thinner, and the extraordinary danced closely with the mundane.
The lore of the pink gorilla, as he discovered, was not merely an oddity to be puzzled over but a guardian of thresholds, a creature that manifested to those at the cusp of significant personal revelations or crossroads. The lore suggested that an encounter with such a being was not random but a deeply personal challenge, an invitation to explore the unknown corridors of one's life and perhaps, to redefine the boundaries of what was considered possible.
Emboldened by this knowledge, the man decided that his journey was far from over; it had, in fact, just begun. He resolved to leave behind the constraints of his previous ambitions and embrace the path of discovery that lay before him. With the mansion as his starting point, he would delve deeper into the mysteries of the land, seeking out the ancient, the hidden, and the mystical.
As he set forth from the mansion, the butler, now less a servant and more a guide, bestowed upon him a parting gift—a compass, not for navigation by conventional means, but one that pointed towards the extraordinary. "May this guide you to the wonders that await," the butler said, his eyes twinkling with a knowledge that seemed as vast as the lore contained within the mansion's walls.
The man stepped outside, the air fresh with the promise of the morning, and looked back at the mansion one last time. It stood majestic and serene, a keeper of secrets and tales untold, now a beacon in his quest for the extraordinary. He turned away, his heart alight with possibilities, and set off into the sunrise, the land stretching out before him like a canvas waiting for new stories to be painted.
His encounter with the pink gorilla, now a cherished memory, served as a reminder that the world was far more wondrous and complex than he had ever imagined. Each step forward was a step into the unknown, a chance to uncover the magic hidden in plain sight, waiting for those brave enough to seek it out.
And so, the man's journey continued, each day a new chapter in a saga of discovery, each encounter a thread in the tapestry of a life redefined by wonder and a boundless quest for the extraordinary. The road ahead was uncharted, the stories waiting to be told infinite, and the world a place of endless marvels, forever changed by one night, one mansion, and one pink gorilla that dared him to dream bigger.
As the man ventured deeper into the landscapes that sprawled beyond the mansion's boundaries, each step took him further from the world he knew and closer to the realms of the unexplained and the mystical. The compass given by the butler did not point north, but towards anomalies of nature and hidden enclaves of magic. Its needle quivered and spun, leading him through forests that whispered ancient secrets, across rivers that sang of lost loves, and over hills that murmured with stories of battles long forgotten.
His first destination was a village whispered about in the mansion's lore, a place where the veil between the worlds was said to be thinnest on nights when the moon hid its face. The villagers, at first wary of the stranger, soon opened their doors and hearts to him, sharing tales of their ancestors who walked with spirits and commanded the elements. Here, the man learned the language of the trees and the songs of the stars, each lesson weaving into him a deeper connection with the world around him.
One night, under a cloak of starless darkness, he was taken to a clearing in the woods where the villagers gathered to witness the dance of the spirits. As the air filled with the hum of ancient chants, shadows began to dance at the edge of his vision, twirling and weaving around a fire that burned with a green flame. The man watched, spellbound, as the divide between the worlds blurred, and for a moment, he felt the touch of the unknown—a feeling both exhilarating and humbling.
With each encounter, the man's perception of reality expanded. The compass led him next to a mountain where the wind spoke in riddles, and he spent a moon cycle deciphering its words, each answer revealing a layer of the world's fabric he had never imagined. On the peak, amidst clouds that whispered of eternity, he found a stone that pulsed with the heart of the mountain—a gem that glowed with an inner light, guiding him further on his quest.
His journey was not without trials. There were paths that led into darkness, where fears and doubts rose like specters to challenge his resolve. But with each step forward, he shed layers of his former self, finding strength in vulnerability and power in the acceptance of the unknown.
The man realized that the true journey was not just about uncovering the wonders of the world but also discovering the depths of his own spirit. He encountered beings of light and shadow, each teaching him that balance was the key to harmony and that every light casts a shadow. He learned to walk the tightrope between worlds, embracing both the light and the dark within himself.
Years passed, seasons turned, and legends grew around the figure of a man who walked the borders of reality, a seeker of truths hidden and a bearer of stories untold. To some, he was a myth, a symbol of the eternal quest for understanding and connection. To others, he was a reminder that the world is far vaster and more mysterious than it appears, that magic lies in belief, and that the extraordinary is all around, waiting for those with the courage to seek it.
And so, the man who once sought only to close a deal for his company became a traveler of the liminal, a bridge between the seen and the unseen, forever changed by a night at a mansion and a pink gorilla that showed him the endless possibilities of the 'what if.' His journey became a testament to the power of curiosity and the human spirit's unyielding desire to explore the wonders of the universe.
In the tapestry of his adventures, the man discovered not just the external marvels of a world unseen but also the internal landscapes of his own soul. With each step into the unknown, he peeled back layers of himself, revealing strengths and vulnerabilities he never knew he possessed. The journey became less about the destinations and more about the transformation within, a metamorphosis catalyzed by the pursuit of the extraordinary.
As seasons melded into years, his tales wove into the fabric of the local lore, a collection of stories that inspired those who heard them to look beyond their own horizons. The man, now a wanderer of realms both earthly and ethereal, realized that his journey had no end, for the pursuit of wonder is infinite, and the path of discovery eternal.
In his travels, he encountered communities that, hidden from the modern world, preserved the essence of magic that once flourished unbridled across the land. He learned the ancient arts of healing from a wise woman whose garden was a mosaic of herbs and enchantments. From a silent monk atop a snow-capped peak, he mastered the art of listening, hearing the whispers of the wind and the songs of the stars. Each encounter, each lesson, was a thread in the rich tapestry of his evolving journey.
But it was in the quiet moments, when he stood alone under the canopy of stars, that the man found the deepest connection to the universe. It was then he understood that every star was a story, every breeze a song, and every stone a testament to the timeless dance of creation. He realized that magic did not exist apart from the world but was woven into the very fabric of existence, visible to those who chose to see.
His legend grew, not as a mere traveler or seeker of oddities but as a guardian of the gateways between worlds, a protector of the ancient truths and mysteries that bind the universe together. People from far and wide sought him, not just for his knowledge but for the light he carried within, a beacon of hope and wonder in an age of skepticism and forgetfulness.
Eventually, the man understood that his journey was also a return, a spiral that led not only outward into the depths of mystery but inward to the heart of his own being. He found peace in the balance of opposites, in the harmony of light and shadow, and in the understanding that every end is but a new beginning.
As he stood on a cliff overlooking the sea, where the sky met the water in an endless embrace, the man reflected on the path that had led him here. He thought of the pink gorilla, the mansion, the butler, and the countless souls he had met along the way. With a heart full of gratitude, he realized that his quest had been not just for the wonders of the world but for the rediscovery of wonder within.
With the horizon stretching before him, the man set down his compass, now understanding that the true direction was always guided by the heart. As the sun dipped below the sea, casting the world in a glow of gold and crimson, he took a deep breath, ready for whatever adventures awaited.
For in a universe of endless possibilities, the journey is never truly over; it only transforms, leading the seeker on new paths, through new doors, and into new realms of wonder. And so, with the stars as his map and his heart as his compass, the man stepped forward, into the next chapter of a story that is as old as time and as new as the next sunrise.
But the narrative of the man, now a timeless wanderer, takes a poignant turn, reflecting the essence of every journey. With the breadth of the world woven into the fabric of his spirit, he sought to impart the wisdom gained from the myriad paths tread and the countless stars counted. The wanderer, once a seeker, became a storyteller, a custodian of tales that bridged worlds and hearts.
In villages and cities, in valleys and atop mountains, he shared stories that kindled the flames of curiosity and wonder in the listeners. His tales were not just recounts of adventures but parables of connection, resilience, and the undying quest for understanding. Through his words, the veil between the mundane and the magical grew thinner, reminding all that wonder did not reside in distant lands but within the grasp of those who dared to dream and look beyond.
His legacy, however, was not merely in the tales told under the moon's soft glow or beside the hearth's warm fire. It was in the sparks ignited in the souls of those who listened, a chain reaction of wonder that transcended time and space. Children who listened with wide-eyed wonder grew up to explore their own paths, discovering new stories to add to the ever-expanding tapestry of human endeavor and cosmic ballet.
As seasons changed and the wheel of time spun, the wanderer's steps grew slower, his journey taking him closer to the heart of existence itself. He ventured into the realm of silence, where the whispers of the universe were clearest, seeking the source of the magic that had fueled his journey. Here, in the quietude of being, he found the ultimate truth that his journey had circled around: that all of existence is interconnected, a symphony of light and shadow, where every soul plays a note in the grand orchestral work of the cosmos.
In this realization, the wanderer saw that his journey had been both outward and inward, a spiral dance that led to the core of existence where all stories began and ended. He understood that his legacy was not the tales he'd told or the wonders he'd unveiled but the reminder that the journey is infinite, and every end is a new beginning.
With this knowledge, the wanderer found a place to rest, a tranquil nexus where all paths intersected. He became a beacon, a lighthouse for those navigating their own voyages through the tempests and tranquilities of life. And as he shared this final piece of wisdom—that the greatest adventure lies in the discovery of one's own soul—he completed his transformation from a man on a quest to a timeless guide, a mentor to the seekers, dreamers, and storytellers who would follow the trails he had blazed.
And so, the story of the wanderer weaves into the greater story of humanity, a reminder that the journey never truly ends. It is passed from one soul to another, through words and silence, in the hope that the magic of wonder, the quest for connection, and the pursuit of the extraordinary will forever illuminate the path of those who walk the earth, gazing at the stars and dreaming of the infinite.
In the continuum of time, where the wanderer's tale merges with the cosmos, his essence diffuses into the fabric of existence, becoming a part of the universal consciousness. This transformation marks not an end but an evolution, a transcendence from physical journeys to ethereal guidance, where his spirit continues to inspire across dimensions.
In the ethereal plane, the wanderer's insights become whispers in the wind, ripples in the water, and twinkles in the night sky, accessible to all who find themselves lost or in search of deeper truths. His presence is felt in the sudden inspirations that strike at the quiet of dawn, in the courage that rises amidst storms, and in the peace that descends with twilight's embrace.
As the world spins and generations rise and fall, the wanderer's tales, now part of the collective mythos, foster a legacy of exploration and introspection. They serve as a compass for the soul, guiding those who seek to break the fetters of the ordinary and embark on journeys of their own, whether through physical realms or the landscapes of the mind and spirit.
Temples, not of stone but of thought and intention, arise in his honor, places where seekers gather to share stories, wisdom, and insights, creating a web of interconnectedness that spans the globe. These gatherings, illuminated by the fire of curiosity and the glow of fellowship, become beacons of light in a world that, at times, seems overshadowed by the mundane and the material.
In these spaces, the wanderer's teachings evolve into a philosophy of life, a path that embraces the beauty of the unknown and the power of the human spirit to transcend limitations. It is a call to view each day as an adventure, each challenge as a riddle to be solved, and each interaction as a thread in the intricate tapestry of the collective human experience.
As the philosophy spreads, touching hearts and awakening minds, the wanderer's spirit journeys alongside those who dare to dream, explore, and discover. He becomes a guardian of dreams, an ally in the quest for meaning, and a guide to those who navigate the myriad paths of life.
The wanderer's journey, which began as a solitary quest, culminates in a universal voyage, a collective endeavor to uncover the mysteries of existence and the wonders of the cosmos. It is a journey that transcends time, space, and dimension, uniting all in the quest for knowledge, understanding, and connection.
And thus, the story continues, a perpetual narrative woven into the very essence of existence, inviting all to join in the eternal dance of the cosmos. The wanderer's tale becomes not just a story but a living testament to the indomitable spirit of exploration, a call to embrace the infinite journey of discovery, understanding, and connection that defines the human condition.
In this unending story, every soul is both a wanderer and a storyteller, contributing their verse to the endless poem of existence, where every end is a beginning, and the journey is eternal, bound only by the limits of imagination and the depth of one's courage to explore the vast, uncharted territories of the heart and the heavens.
In the ever-expanding narrative of existence, where each soul’s journey intertwines with the fabric of the universe, the legacy of the wanderer becomes a cosmic echo, resonating through the ages. This resonance is not confined to the tales of old or the whispers of the wind but lives in the heartbeats of those who carry the torch of exploration and curiosity into the future.
As civilizations advance and technology bridges the gaps between stars, the essence of the wanderer guides humanity's steps into the cosmos. His spirit, a beacon of adventure and discovery, illuminates the path for those who navigate the infinite expanse of space, seeking not conquest but connection, not dominion but understanding.
In this new era of exploration, the wanderer's teachings transform into principles that govern the interaction between worlds and cultures. The ethos of respect, wonder, and a thirst for knowledge transcends the boundaries of planets, becoming a universal language that unites different forms of life across the galaxy. The wanderer’s legacy, now embedded in the collective consciousness, inspires a federation of worlds, each unique yet bound by common values of exploration, peace, and the shared quest for the mysteries of the universe.
This federation, a testament to the wanderer's dream, embarks on voyages that span light-years, delving into the unknown depths of the cosmos. Each expedition carries the spirit of the wanderer, each discovery a tribute to his unyielding curiosity. These journeys reveal the interconnectedness of all existence, showcasing the myriad ways life expresses itself across the vast canvas of space. Through these encounters, humanity learns not only of the diversity of the cosmos but also of its own place within the grand scheme of existence.
As the federation explores, it encounters phenomena that defy explanation, mysteries that echo the tales of magic and wonder that the wanderer once pursued on his own terrestrial journey. These mysteries, remnants of the universe's creation and markers of its evolution, offer glimpses into the forces that weave the fabric of reality. They serve as reminders that, despite the advances in knowledge and technology, the universe will always harbor enigmas, inviting those with the courage to explore them.
In this ongoing voyage, the wanderer's story becomes more than a legend; it becomes the guiding ethos for a civilization venturing beyond the cradle of Earth. It teaches that exploration is not just a physical journey but a voyage of the spirit, a quest to understand not only the universe but also the soul’s infinite potential.
And so, as ships bearing the emblem of the federation traverse the star-studded void, the wanderer’s legacy endures, a timeless narrative that continues to inspire those who look upon the night sky not as a boundary but as an invitation. The story of the wanderer, once a solitary figure traversing the shadowed forests and mystical lands of Earth, now resonates through the cosmos, a symbol of the eternal journey of discovery that defines the essence of all sentient beings.
In this boundless adventure, every heart that dreams, every mind that wonders, and every soul that ventures into the unknown carries the spirit of the wanderer, contributing to the endless symphony of the cosmos. The journey is eternal, the stories infinite, and the legacy of the wanderer a beacon that lights the way to the furthest reaches of imagination, where every star is a story, every planet a poem, and every galaxy a garden of wonders waiting to be discovered.
As the cosmos unfolds its endless narrative, woven from the threads of countless journeys, a unique strand weaves through the fabric of existence, linking every heart that dares to explore the unknown. This strand, a cosmic echo of a tale both whimsical and profound, originates from an encounter that transcends time and space, grounding the vastness of the universe in a moment of playful connection—a link between the wanderer and a pink gorilla.
In the heart of an ancient, mystical mansion, hidden within the fold of reality where the wanderer's journey found unexpected turns, the moment when the gorilla, with a touch and a simple phrase, "You're it," transformed the nature of the quest. This moment, a playful exchange in the shadow of the unknown, became a beacon, a reminder that amidst the grandeur of the cosmos and the depth of our explorations, there lies a fundamental link of shared existence, a thread of joy and simplicity that connects all beings.
As humanity ventured into the stars, guided by the wanderer’s legacy of curiosity and discovery, they carried with them this ethos of connection. The federation of worlds, born from a dream of exploration and understanding, found in the tale of the wanderer and the pink gorilla a symbol of their deepest values. In every encounter with new worlds and sentient beings, in every diplomatic exchange and shared exploration, the story of the gorilla served as a reminder that at the heart of all discovery is the desire for connection, for the simple joy of recognizing oneself in the other, across the vastness of space and the diversity of life.
This ethos inspired a tradition among the explorers of the federation. In their voyages across the stars, whenever a new planet was discovered, or a new species welcomed into the community of the cosmos, the story of the wanderer and the pink gorilla was shared as a gesture of friendship and solidarity. The phrase "You're it," translated into myriad languages and forms of communication, became a universal greeting, symbolizing the invitation to join the grand adventure of exploration and mutual discovery.
The pink gorilla, once a curious anomaly within a mysterious mansion, evolved into a symbol of the interconnectedness of all beings. Statues and holograms of the gorilla adorned public squares and spaceports across the federation, each a testament to the playful spirit that underlies the quest for knowledge and the journey towards understanding.
In this way, the legacy of the wanderer and his encounter with the pink gorilla wove itself into the cultural fabric of a galaxy-spanning civilization. It reminded all who heard it that beyond the awe-inspiring mysteries of the universe, the fundamental connections that bind us are woven from moments of simplicity and shared joy.
And so, as the federation explores the furthest reaches of the cosmos, the spirit of the wanderer and the essence of the pink gorilla journey with them, a timeless link that binds every heart that looks to the stars and dreams of discovery. In every "You're it," there is an invitation to partake in the eternal dance of the cosmos, a call to explore not just the mysteries of the universe but the bonds that unite us all in the grand tapestry of existence.

2024.06.01 02:59 coolChipmuck The Candle That Lit The Fire Within Our Hearts: Mevlana Rumi’s Mystical Journey

This book is the outcome of nearly two years of deep immersion in Mevlana’s teachings, biographies and letters. Growing up in a Persian speaking household, I knew of Mevlana Rumi’s poetry. However, reading Mevlana’s poems is one thing; truly understanding them is another.
It’s only when I started reading about Mevlana with a deeper interest that his teachings started to unfold before me.
In my journey I found that though there are a lot of books which speak of his poetry or his biography there isn’t a single book that charts his mystical journey for a learner. How do the steps in Mevlana’s eventful life correlate to his spiritual advancement? What can today’s seekers learn from his journey? What are the books that Mevlana read, the challenges he faced, and the teachings that he imbibed? What can we learn not just from Mevalan’s teachings, but also from his life and spiritual journey?
Mevlana Rumi’s mystical journey reveals the successive steps that a seeker of truth has to go through and the stages that bring one to realization.
Our endeavor in this book is to discover Mevlana’s fascinating life history, and to resurrect the spirit of a bygone era as an inspiration for our own journey.
Unlike sensational historical fiction or hagiographies, in our book we stay carefully close to facts and seeks to distill the lessons and teachings from Mevlana Rumi’s journey.
Available on Amazon
Following are the chapters in the book.

Introduction

In this ‘Introduction’ chapter we examine the three stages of mystical journey that Mevlana Rumi went through. We also correlate these three spiritual stations with the different phases of Mevlana’s life.

In Search for Peace

In the chapter ‘In Search for Peace’ we view Mevlana’s early life and family in Balkh (Afghanistan), the grandeur of ancient Balkh and we examine the deep simmering problems in the Islamic world that made it vulnerable to the marauding mongols. We follow Mevlana Rumi in his journey through the deserts, mountains and caravanserais, his meetings with many luminaries on his expedition from Balkh to Konya and his warm reception in the royal court of the Seljuk emperor.

Growing Up In Konya

In the chapter ‘Growing Up In Konya’ we observe how Mevlana Rumi started his life in Konya and found unexpected support in his old teacher. We then follow the Mevlana as he went back to school and eventually matured into a widely admired jurist, teacher and preacher in Konya.

The Coming of God’s Friend

‘The Coming of God’s Friend’ was the arrival of Sheikh Shams who helped to transform Mevlana Rumi from a learned scholar into a humble true friend of God. This was a remarkable period of cleansing in Mevlana’s spiritual journey, and is also one of the most enigmatic and fascinating periods of his life.

Finding Peace Amidst Turmoil

When the world fell apart and his beloved teacher and friend disappeared then how did Mevlana Rumi find peace? Who were his students and friends who helped him? In this chapter we also follow Mevlana’s life as he endured the winds of change due to the Mongol invasion of Konya and the various changes in the regime.

Legacy

What exactly prompted Mevalana to Sama? Mevlana wanted his entire body to sing God’s glory not just his tongue. We “visit” Mevlana’s Sama congregation as a fly on the wall to hear him sing God’s glory. His poetry similarly was like waves of water bursting through a dam in uncontrolled spiritual ecstasy. We examine the spontaneity in Mevlana’s poetry, the beauty of ghazals and rubaiyats. Mevlana had infinite trust in God’s love and kindness and through his poetry Mevlana shares this belief with us.

Afterword

Finally in ‘Afterword’ we give our respects to Mevlana by reciting his verses that fill us with happiness and hope.
Mevlana Rumi’s works have moved, transformed, and healed many hearts, guiding people to God. The author has deep gratitude for Mevlana and all friends of God whose works continue to benefit us every day.

2024.06.01 02:17 UnassuredCalvinist Christ the Judge

John 12:47-50
The one who rejects Me and does not receive My words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day” (v. 48).
“Ultimately, we find ourselves either under a judgment of condemnation or in a state of salvation. This is the consistent teaching of Scripture, particularly with respect to the last days. A final day is coming on which the dead will stand before God and the condemned will go off into everlasting contempt while the saved will go on to enjoy everlasting life (Dan. 12:1–2).
The New Testament expands on this theme, and it tells us more clearly about the dividing line between salvation and condemnation. This dividing line is a person, Jesus Christ our Lord. Those who trust in Him alone for their righteousness before God are in a state of salvation, but those who reject Him are condemned (John 3:16–18; 14:6).
If Jesus is the dividing line between condemnation and salvation, and if we are either saved or condemned, then it is not surprising that Jesus almost never talks about salvation without also talking about condemnation. We see this in today’s passage where in the same context that Jesus proclaims Himself as the way of salvation, He also sets forth rejecting Him as the way of condemnation. Having said that anyone who believes in Him believes in God, sees God, and walks in light, Jesus goes on to say that the consequence of not believing in Him and His words is to exist under judgment (John 12:44–48).
Clearly, Jesus refers here to the judgment of condemnation, which is bad news for unbelievers. But note that we can also speak of judgment in the sense of commendation. Apart from faith in Christ, the final judgment is to be feared, for it will be a day of punishment for all who do not believe in Him. Yet we who trust in Christ look forward to the day of judgment with joy, for we have already been declared righteous in Christ in our justification (Rom. 3:21–4:25). On that final day, all people will hear that we are righteous in Christ and are recipients of the eternal life He has merited for us. John Calvin comments that judgment “yields to the godly an invaluable consolation, that to whatever extent they may be now condemned by the world, still they do not doubt that they are already acquitted in heaven; for, wherever the faith of the Gospel has its seat, the tribunal of God is erected to save.”
The judgment of commendation—salvation—is the express purpose for which Jesus came. Condemnation results from His work also, but He came first to call us to faith. This call to believe will be the measure of condemnation. Those who reject the promise of salvation given by Jesus the Judge will be condemned (John 12:47-48).
We will die either in a state of condemnation or in a state of salvation. Jesus is the dividing line between these two states, for only if we trust in Him alone for salvation will we be saved. It is therefore urgent that we believe in Jesus and exhort others to do the same. Who can you share the good news of the gospel with today?

2024.05.31 21:49 Grand-Consequence589 Is this the best current plan for me?

Hello,
It seems like you guys are well versed in T-Mobile plans and outside providers, and I wanted to see if my plan (for my needs) is the best choice at this time.
Currently, i have 5 lines (1 free line) on essential plan ($105+taxes), and I have a T-Mobile Internet ($45). Plan total is about $170. Out of the 4 phones, 2 phones are on payment plan (monthly credits) for next 12 months ($25).
Total cost for 4 people and internet plan is about $200/mo.
We use about 250-300GB/mo, so unlimited plans will be the best.
Are there any other providers or sub-providers (eg. mint, visible) that would be best suited for our needs?
Thank you for your input and recommendation,
