Wow. It’s been 5 years since the last GRMD. Every year we try to get as many people in the /hongkong community to show up and meet each other in person. This year Reddit admin changed things a bit and turn it into GRMW to give some flexibility. We decided on June 15th (Saturday).
I’d toyed with the idea of just doing a big /hongkong meetup like previous years even without any Reddit endorsement like the Xmas party of 2017 and 2018, but venue prices have gone way up since pre-COVID. So we’d managed to arrange something to keep prices as affordable as possible.

While the games are fun and all, the important part of GRMD is for people to come out and meet each other and make new friends.
The venue will have a lot of space for people to fan out and hang out, so regardless of if you are new to the scene or a long time veteran/lurker, come on by and make some buddies!

Buffet style, but not unlimited. If we run out of food and there are still hungry people we can call for take out.
Drinks:
There will be non alcoholic drinks available.
Alcoholic drinks will be BYOB, please bring to share. (Also, I like stouts.)

I plan on having the group photo at around 8:30 or so. I will also be leaving my old cameras around the venue so feel free to pick them up and shoot away. I'd appreciate it if other people take some candid pictures of the event.

HK$300 per person flat fee if you prepay by the deadline (June 9th 23:59), HK$350 after the deadline or at the door. This will cover drinks and food.

It's well known that Tolkien didn't particularly like France or its culture, but we love him anyway. And unfortunately, it took a long time for his incredible books to reach France and French-speaking countries. And even today, it's complicated... because yes, not everything has been translated.
You've probably read “The fall of Numeror” recently or “Tolkien's letters, revised and expanded”, well, we're still waiting for them... (And we never got the 12-volume Middle-Earth story! Thanks wiki)
Speaking of translations, here's the crux of the matter. Tolkien came to us at a time when heroic fantasy and its derivatives were not particularly well regarded and, above all, not well known, even among young people. It's very niche, in fact.
The Hobbit was published in 1969 in France, and yet no publisher other than “Christian Bourgois” wanted to translate The Lord of the Rings until 1972/1973. Quite simply because of the high cost of translation, and because they felt that the French couldn't possibly be interested in a work that was so foreign in its references. "They could only see the Germanic legend". We've come a long way in the meantime, phew!
The first translation we had (by Francis Ledoux) contained errors and questionable translation choices. Here are a few examples:

• Frodo is called “ Frodon ” for a pronunciation issue (same for Bilbo who becomes " Bilbon ").
  
• Vala is always in the singular, never in the plural (but the translator didn't yet have the Silmarillion).
  
• Mirkwood becomes “ Forêt Noire ” (black forest) because it sounds ’German” (sic)
  
• Rivendell is called “ Fondcombe ” for some reason; “fond” (lower part) and “combe” (deep valley).
  

But here's the problem: despite the choices, we've got used to this translation, yet a new one (by Daniel Lauzon) appeared a few years ago, and it's creating even more problems than before!

• Fondcombe became " Fendeval " (!!), "fend" for to split, "de" the article of, and "val" which is a fairly wide valley. So in English, it would be the Elrond residing in the "Large Split Valley".
  
• Mirkwood became the “Forêt de Grand'Peur ” (literally the forest of great fear). Well, it's still okay there, even if we don't really understand where it comes from.
  

The problem is that in the films, they use both the French words from the old translation and the English words. They say "Fondcombe and Mirkwood". No consistency.
But all that's nothing, there's much worse!
Aragorn's name hasn't changed (phew), but his nickname is still a problem. You see, in English, it's “Strider”, and that sounds cool to Americans/Englishmen (at least, I imagine it does), except that it had to be translated because it sounds too much English in a text entirely in French... Strider was translated as “Grand-Pas” (literally big step). Yes, it's Aragorn Big Step. Laugh at us!
Except that the new translation has changed, and he becomes “Aragorn l'arpenteur” (Aragorn the Surveyor). Why the surveyor? Because he travels a lot. But I don't really see Aragorn as a topographer, because that's exactly what you think of when you read the word in French.
I'm not saying all this to throw pebbles at the translators, especially the first one. He had to make do with what he had, and he did pretty well overall. But it often creates confusion with the addition of translation... It makes me think I should read Lotr in English in its entirety, but laziness has meant I read in my native tongue.
Another huge problem: the songs and poems.
Tolkien uses very precise poetic meter and rhymes in keeping with his language. Inevitably, literal translations don't work in other languages, and this creates disasters. The poor translators have to make drastic changes, and it feels bad. But then, I suppose it's the same story with other languages.

Trying to decide my next purchase.
Current vehicles are Traxxas sledge Traxxas trx4 high trail Traxxas slash vxl 4x4 Xmaxx ultimate Arrma Mojave 4s Axial scx6 trail Honcho. Couple of TRX4m Some 3d printed boats.
Like to run at parks, my back yard and do have national/state parks within in walking distance in an arid/desert environment.
Obviously have batteries to run either truck.
Attracted to the maxx given a reported history of durability, smaller version of my Xmaxx, but think the sledge kinda fills this niche of a a low wide basher. Also cool that it would be a more handy sized Xmaxx to have a lower threshold to be able to take anywhere.
Have loved my slash and Mojave 4s, I don’t have a “scale” accurate vehicle aside from my crawler and also do appreciate the intricacies of the UDR from a mechanical and design perspective but it does seem a little out of touch (in classical traxxas fashion) to be $750 for a 6 year old design.
Would love to hear the community’s thoughts on what would be the next best purchase out of these two.
Edit: budget not an issue but only buying one vehicle. I know the vxl6s is a piece of shit and will probably die quickly. Have a max 6 g2 laying around. How is the vxl-4s?

Would super appreciate it if everyone reads this long-ass thesis of a post with an open mind and to the end...its me being vulnerable in an anonymous reddit sub because i think these things matter in the larger framework of a uniquely special show and the big, bright, beautiful, multicultural gorgeous world we all as humans live in. My last post in this sub was downvoted to hell which btw totally ok...and i dont depend on reddit currency for my livelihood so its all good. I just care about my posts being read...specially this one.
Some context:
I'm very new to this community and the show as well. Currently have time off work and going ham on reddit and venturing very scared into the deep dark of world of rabid fandoms and small niche communities. Getting a little burnt along the way but also learning from some super talented fans with their own eye-opening ideas and funny posts. Fans of all kinds, Im peeping into profiles, so white, black, brown multicolored rainbow of the world right here.
I'm also an aspiring writer and well...some of my best ideas have come from reddit lurking on cool and active subs with bridgerton sub being new for me. Jet lagged, anxious and just a tad bit antsy, I'm trying to go down and deep and maybe open some deeper discussions here.
I am Indian and lived primarily in India my whole life and now for the last 10 years between London and Canada (why am I sharing all this like and am I also going to tell you my weight, my height etc too...No but hopefully you'll understand this revelation as you read ahead without me spelling it out)
So I've been trying to figure out why fan wars as they pertain to this show prick so personally, so particularly.
I think fandoms anywhere in every country are full of insane people, obsessive chronically online people who find comfort through living through their faves..your beyonce stans, your rihanna stans, your Taylor Swift stans, your harry styles stans, your k pop stans, etc etc..
This show also has some rabid fans..But there is a conversation I want to open up only because I think it's important...Is fighting extra hard for your poc fave because you know their representation in pop culture is limited, their getting jobs is limited, subconscious biases exist even though we have been making great strides and even eradicated overt biases in employment, in accessibility, in government service etc etc ..and their culture not as dominant, their worlds not as seen or coveted.
Our ideas of beauty are framed by the extensiveness and longevity of colonial rule across the world.
there are shit people across all ethnicities religions and genders and nationalities. Barbarians, conquerors, invaders, pillaging villages raping women destroying livelihoods suppressing the peasant class, mutilating and diluting cultures- exist in Africa, the Indian subcontinent, East asia, middle East etc so not just Britain. Basically being brown, black or East Asian and Middle Eastern doesnt grant you moral superiority over white people and you can be racist and casteist and colorist and bigoted and biased and just all around shitty and criminal as a black, brown, east asian middle eastern etc etc person just as much as white people.
So now that thats settled, lets look at specific issues that POC only face because that eventually streams into the show and its politics and its discussion as well.
But for whatever reason ...the British were able to colonize on a scale that the other countries and ethnicities were not able to.. African and the Indian subcontinent's conquests and invasions were limited in area and time period...their scale of conquest limited to a small radius around their own countries...and not foreign lands travelled via sea etc.
As a result and only as a result and not because and I cannot emphasize enough that black, brown or east asian invaders, rulers etc were morally superior, kinder, less assholes...the culture that became dominant was white british culture..or european culture...if Indians had conquered the world, they would have imposed their culture on the lands and countries they invaded, if different African countries invaded the world to the extent of the british colonists, same thing...the dominant culture that would have been forcibly imposed by the people of african ethnicity would be their culture... Black skin would have been considered beautiful, white fair skin would not have been the standard....thats history....thats something we know to be true even through modern wars...the victor dictates...But that simply didnt happen.
it's not because t Africans or Asians or basically non white people are morally superior, more virtuous, incapable of terrorist acts or colonizing or I don't know were like we don't invade and conquest, we so good. But because that's history. They just didn't manage it. thats simply our current historical reality.
Being that the country or countries that did manage to conquer the world or close to 9/10ths of it were Europeans or more specifically British white nationals..which means as would happen even if another nationality had managed to invade the world, the culture that is dominant across the world is a west/white slanted world..
Colorism as a concept didnt exist until colonization: Why would it? If everyone existed under the same harsh sun, had the same skin color with minor variances...why would they think fair is more beautiful. Its because they wouldnt...the first blond haired blue eyed people would have been introduced to India via early traders of east india company in India and dutch colonists before them...Its like if everyone around you is brown, you assume thats just how everyone else looks like...thats the only reality you know...you simply havent seen anyone look any different..you havent seen blue eyes or anything else....same for africans and within that framework as humans are wont to do you create ideas of beauty.
So yes. POCs across the globe had just as arbitrary ideas of beauty as white people (chiense mutilated young women feet cuz small feet more beautiful, in africa genital mutiliation) because humans are humans and humans mess everything up...and animals are so much better...but color as a construct is a colonial one and one which managed to find deeep deep roots because of the extent of the rule, the sheer longevity, For context, India has been independent for the last 75 years..from over 200 years of colonial british rule...Not even the length of the life of a single human. Not even as long as Britains former queen was alive. It will take some more time for that in fighting and ideas of colorism deeply penetrated from the inheritance of our rulers to get dismanted...and totally thrown own...because you can freee from literall bondage more easily, the mind takes longer to adjust and form independent thought. But it will happen.
White people are not more or less racist than POC. Thats not a thing. There are shit people and you can find shit people anywhere...I have shit people right in my own home country, bigots, destroying the diversity of India by bullshit tactics...
But as it stands...because this cultural superiority of British and white people took over, the framing of beauty, of whats fashionable, of whats cool, of whats civilized is all seen through the lens of white culture...eating with hands which many cultures across the world do uncivilized unhygienic, paris fashions and made in italy...mark of excellence...made in India and China...cheap, low quality, scammers and shit people, (thats not to say shit people and scammers dont exist in India and China and there arent industries of scammers across these poorer nations but there is also denying the equisite craftasmanship across fashion and beauty in both countries-China and India.
Brown skin bad, even darker skin even bad etc etc...We wear clothes that our colonial masters did across the world, you wont find people in china wearing Chinese clothes, same for India, african countries etc...everything from clothing, to beauty, to furniture, to houses everything indigenous was changed to a foreign ideal from our rulers. The same would have happened whoever whichever ethnicity had invaded the world...like i said above..

There is this frequent refrain and accusation of oppression olympics that I read about when it comes to this show, in general online discourse and also this insanely disgusting article fat shaming Nicola Coughlan in The Spectator.
And i really really want to open up this conversation...cuz race gets discussed a lot on this sub and other bridgerton subs and therefore a perfect place to have that conversation...Do Non-POC really believe in the concept of oppression olympics and that all kinds of biases are equally treacherous to navigate?
So I was overweight in my teens...I had a close friend who was wheelchair bound. my life was hard and I was bullied but surely surely I do not think that my plight was the same as my friend in a wheelchair...In class 10th, a close friend's father passed away, the same year my grandmother passed away, surely, surely, I dont think we are experiencing the same pain the same setback to our life...Class 10th in India is akin to A levels in Britain and SAT in the USA..
You know why I didnt think any of this and why if I had i was wrong, because there is a hierarchy to opression, .to loss, to struggles. There simply is. Opression Olympics is rooted in reality.
Pain is pain, loss and bad foundations suck ass...but privilege is a thing and some pains some loads just lighter compared to others. I could lose weight and get over the oppression I was facing because of my weight in school. My wheelchair bound friend didnt have that option..I wouldnt get my grandmother back...but my fathers loss would have a more immediate affect on my life and my friend who lost her father and her loss was just simply deeper. She needed more support, more help, more people crowding around her saying you've got this Niharika..well make sure your life doesnt change permanently cuz youlve lost your dad.
So when show fandom compare Jonathon Baileys struggle to Rege Jean George or say Victor Ali, they are simply pointing out that yes while Jonathon Bailey is gay...there is a difference between being white and gay and being black and gay or simply harder being black. And therefore there is a hierarchy. Why POC are less loath to crticize the average acting of their POC faves because they know the opportunities for them are limited. Lets do an exercise name 5 shows led by a POC in the USA or Britain or Canada-any POC..brown, black i dont care. And im not talking about black or brown actors in a show or film, im talking leads...
Also biases are self perpetuating....When black or brown led films fail, the opportunities immediately dry up because it shows that its just fairness and the numbers dont lie..Except this is not maths.....Maths would be first making equal amount of shows starring black or brown people, and then comparing...Now if the end result is white led shows do better-that would be correct math...but ratios and comparisons and statistics need to first start with an even scale...thats not even me taking about diversity...thats just math formulas...
If lets say there are 500 actors who are white in hollywood and 200 who are Black in hollywood, and lets say all 200 black actors are shit...would you say the statement...god white actors are so much better than black actors...no cuz the maths is not adding up...you compared 500 actors who were white of which 300 were excellent 200 bad and you made that into the conclusion that white actors are better because you were comparing only with 200 black actors to begin with...the actual math formula yieled equal number of bad and good actors..
Why people defend Kanthony harder...or wanted Simone Ashley to be promoted as much as Polin is because (lets go with my Math analogy again) all things being the same) unless Nicola and Luke are really bad actors compared to Simone Ashley, theyll still have it easier in acting...they simply will. they wont have to change their confusingly, long foreign sounding name, they wont have to work at assimilation in other ways, lets say they were muslim they wouldnt have been trying hard to sell themselves as Im just as liberal as you, im not a threat. And I love Luke Newton and Nicola Coughland-both seem like throughly, likable, personable, kind hearted beans..
Now my own experience. I have stated in an earlier post on this sub that I'm a Shonda Rhimes fan...because I have personally benefitted from the diversity she has included so naturally, so elegantly in all her shows. My own ideas of beauty, have been tested and transformed. In fact I know exactly the moment it happened...watching Christina Yang as a 14 year old...and thinking god meredith is so beautiful and I want to see more of HER and Izzie but then seeing christina again and again and again over each episode over hundreds of hours of binging, school, college, masters, big move outside India, my own constant this show..my brain was soft mushy and impressionable and christina yang, korean Sandra Oh became suddenly but actually slowly and then all at once became beautiful to me...I dont know when it happened but like the book Colin telling Penelope I dont know when or how and why others dont see it but you ARE beautiful in the book carriage scene. I found her hot, I found her cool. I cared to learn more about her Korean mother and her Jewish father and it didnt matter that the show never covered that culture..Christina was atheist and could handle her shit..even around racists.. But I still wanted to learn more about HER..a woman I simply didnt think was beautiful comparable to meredith and Izzie..me an impressionable 14 year old..just made that turn because of a show.,..a fluffy...not that deep soapy as hell show.
But it was only possible cuz I saw 24 episodes day in day out,...over many many years....for that to happen. I had many more years of falling asleep to dawsons creek joey and dawson, joey and pacey, gilmore girls rory and jess rory and dean rory and logan..i imagined and dreamt of windswept Mr. Darcy...and of course I luckily had my own countrys pop culture cuz I grew up and lived in a country where I was repped plenty eveywhere... So i found bollwood heroes hot and I found White americans or british people hot...my brain simply didnt have a framework for East Asians hot. And I needed to seem them constantly and frequentlyn and in Hot front and center, desirable covetable-their culture, their families all respected, admired again and again and again over many years for that switch to happen.
So why do we fight for our POV faves.. fight hard (some fight really ugly too which....they are not my people ( as in I dont know them) so sorry for that)....because we know how much more repping they need...we know how much MORE MORE MORE important it is to see POC culture done right...because it simply is not accessible,...cannot be to people outside..
K POP is making waves super..., people love themselves some MANGA and kimchi...so good and progress...but a lot of countries pop culture is in the native tongue...people outside of it cannot access it...in the same way one would English language content-books, podcasts, news, films, shows etc etc. And hollywood does our culture wrong, played up for laughs, stinky curry, stinky indians, scamming Indians, uncivilized heathens, oh so funny that Sofia Vergara and her funny accent (The Ellen Show), niche shows that dont become popular behemoths because it stars all ethnic casts-Fresh Off the Boat.
You simply will not understand how brilliant and gorgeous my country's embroideries, temple art, clothing and fashion, actors and sculptors, museums and writing and authors are...not because YOU are racist..but because you dont speak-my language and my culture isnt dominant or wide spread enough-insert again-my above explanation of colonialism and dominant and suppressed cultures. History made one culture the most widespread...again not because white people, bad and racist...brown and black people good and not racist and benevolent..but they simply were the victors...for centuries...plural.
We want to fight harder for Rege and defend him leaving the show (im not even black but when you live outside of your home country, all POC seem like a united underrepresented group and you find kinship everywhere) because any potential cancellation or quote unquote unlikeability and hes difficult accusations would hurt him far far more than Nicola Coughlan, Luke Thompson, Newton, Phoebe etc. for the same crimes. And there just arent enough of us to begin with to lose even one. For what is quite honestly a mid Netflix show with seeds of promise but a lack of ambition.

Hi everyone!
My name is Tymedust and I'm a game developer focusing on visual novels with interactive elements (my name's URL goes to my games on itch.io if anyone wants to check them out).
This July I'm entering a short-form Jam (basically an event where you develop games during set time and content restrictions) with heavy limitations, and I'm interested in creating something with a creepier vibe than my earlier projects, being a life-long fan of horror.
With that in mind I was hoping I could throw this out there in order to get input from fellow horror gamers, and perhaps get some discussions going on how to create something effective within the set limits of this event.
First off, the limitations:

• A maximum of 1000 words
• Only one music track
• Only one sound effect
• Only one sprite/character
• Only one background (full-color BGs i.e. wholly black, wholly white etc don't count)

Other than that, it's relatively free-form what you can do. You can play around with visual effects (zooms, slowdowns, camera panning, etc) and as long as you don't add more content to the above list, it's allowed. In order words, there's a lot of room for creativity within the constraints.
Second off, what I have so far to work with (I can't show any actual assets since you aren't allowed to start working on them until the Jam starts proper, so this is all in the pre-planning stage):

• A hand-drawn portrait of a young, gothic girl: she is sitting on the left side of the screen, writing something, her hands animated (she also has a number of different facial expressions, which is also allowed as long as the pose itself doesn't change)
• The right side of the screen has the text portion of the game, the player will be able to choose between different words, and the words chosen then form various short poems/plot points (the character is a writer), these are then read aloud by a voice actor (this is a bit similar to the poem mini-game found in Doki Doki Literature Club, a VN which blew up a few years back)

So that's basically the concept; a writer and her words. The mood is dark and atmospheric, and I'm definitely feeling an influence from horror poetry (at one time I considered making the game poetry-only, but I'm not sure if that will catch a modern player in the same way... though it's not entirely off the table).
This is where I welcome any and all ideas. What should happen, what should her writing be about, what kind of effects should be used within the constraints of the Jam to create atmosphere, mood and horror?
It should be noted that I do already have several potential ideas, but I feel like I'm missing something, like the final piece of the puzzle to make this go from "cool" to "damn cool", so to speak.
I'm very thankful for any input, and should I utilize any ideas mentioned here in the final product, I'll of course provide proper credit. :) I also welcome examples for short horror games that you'd recommend me to check out which might be influential within this setting.

I've created a bunch of plays, most work great with a competent quarterback, some even better with a guy like Troy Smith who mostly hits the short to intermitten routes. Heres a few of them.
Shotgun 4 wide with a rb.
I personally overload sides to help with rubs and setting up longer or shorter routes. I put wr1 on the left as far as i can set him. 2 is inside him a few yards. 3 is inside of him a few yards and 4 is far right. I usually go playaction, wr1 runs a slant. 2 wheel outside. 3 either a streak or a post to distract the safety and 4 either a streak or slant if i want to give the qb a second quick option.
same formation, 3 runs a quick out, 1 runs a medium in and 2 runs a deep out or in while 4 runs a streak.
same formation: 1 runs a quick in, 2 runs a deep out and 3 runs a medium out while 4 runs a slant.
flip formation, wash and repeat.
If i am going for more of a run attack, i'll go under center in either the singleback big formation or single te.
If i go singleback te, i'll put receivers in a lined bunch formation, the order doesn't really matter much in this case, but i'll put one wr closer to the LT maybe a few a square away, he runs a post, the one next to him runs a drag and the outside wr does a cross, the te then runs a quick out with playaction going left, and the qb rolling right.
same formation: te runs a medium out to give the playaction time to work, the inner wr runs a drag, wr 2 runs post, outter wr runs a cross
same formation: inner wr runs the post, wr2 runs wheel, wr 3 runs post, te runs a corner.
Inside the 5, i love reforming the goalline, so i'll move te1 next to te2 just off his back foot and move te3 to the line or a hair back so long as it's a legal formation. i can't remember the plays name, but essentially te's 1 and 2 run the designed route bc it works best for them to both run short and medium crossing routes, te3 gets most of the love on this one bc he runs a slant. Since usually my te3 is my slowest te, the slant is open 80ish% of the time and the defense follows the bigger threats across the field.
Finally, I do enjoy a good mobile quarterback, but subbing the rb in works as well. I go with the qb blast and i'll shift the te's outside to a similar formation as what i used earlier, except I put three on the left and two to the right. It forces the defense to spread (in man) or at least shift out a little in zone. Thus, creating a lane for the qb to run in. Now, this one seems to work really well with a guy like Josh Johnson or troy smith, primarily because they are the faster qbs in the game in the beginning. however, assuming your rb has decent bcv, he should still get some decent chunks.
I ran a few variations of this play in my last play through, leaving the te's in their positions on the line and motioning te1 just behind the LG (more where the FB lines up in the strong or near formation) and it worked relatively well. He eats up the first guy through and Johnson could dance around and pick up 7 nearly every time. However, as with anything, run it too much and it fails.
These are just a few of the formations and route combos i run, i have a ton more, but hopefully these can help others or at least spark some creativity in play calling and/or sharing your created plays.

Hi everyone. I’m doing my bachelor studies, 3rd year in Russia. In my current university I have a lot of problems: sexual harassment from the teacher with kids and a husband (I guess this is not OK), teachers trying to make me do their work they getting payed for. Also no original research created, teachers just copy foreign papers and translate it to Russian, then get some extra money for publishing. I have a bad GPA since I started studying for myself and skipped many classes in this uni. I was working, collecting money to then transfer for some programs in Russia that are actually good, in a Top Russian university. But every time I tried to transfer, some problems started to occur. They mostly linked with army since we have a compulsory military service in Russia. I once was ready to transfer as well as the university was ready to accept me, but the draft board stopped me. So I’m still at this uni, but I really wanna study at a place where people are interested in research and education.
I had work exp in different laboratories there, in Russia. My work was mostly connected with Deep Learning and Classical ML methods applied for some tasks. However, for now I have 0 papers (I helped with research in a lab, but they haven’t included my name in the paper and I personally think their research sucks). I’m looking for some bioinformatics program now. I have several courses completed (Molecular Biology and Genetics) a little bit of Kaggle with drug design and EEG analysis also, attended computational neuroscience school. And several projects I created in laboratories I was working in (face verification for laboratories, training system for doctors based on Computer Vision methods and some other).
Do you think I should get a gap year somehow to do some research first or do you think it is still possible to transfer to some good university abroad with my current experience? The problem is that I only have Cambridge FCE B2 passed with merit 4 years ago, some projects, motivation letter. No VISA, anything else. I suppose this is not enough obviously. Do you guys have any advice? We also get much less money in Russia in average for the same work so I have a very limited budget. Could you recommend some universities that might be suitable?

After that interaction, napasama na'ko sa circle of friends niya. After a few months, unti unti kong napapansin na lagi kong inaabangan yung mga chats and mga rants niya, and lagi nalang siyang pumapasok sa isip ko(ang corny), lagi ko na ding inaantay yung mga aya niya late night walks namin (since ayaw niya magrant sa chat, gusto niya sa personal), nag start na din akong magcrochet and ibibigay ko sakanya (kunwari extrang gawa ko lang yun, or napapangitan ako kaya ko binibigay sakanya.)

Hey Guy! My name is Conor. I used a Polycam 3D scan .fbx file, a ball i modled in spline to make this. I also used spline to animate this as well with a spin on the room, the ball animated up and down, lights animated to flash. I then exported it in two opposite hues ( the yellow/red one and the blue one ) and then I edited them together, slightly mis-aligning them to give the weird drunk effect.
THe little ball is kinda my trademark so if you see my other socials of the same name you'll see him around in other animations

Sure, but that's no reason to justify people reacting like they are. One cannot argue 'None of it's real' while also arguing 'these characters are important to me' or 'I want to invest in this series/game' because the point of the game is for you to immerse and invest in it. You're meant to care about the characters intrinsically, and not about 'what they do for you'. It's absolutely fine to be upset if some 15 year old idiot 'consoomer' whose first thought when he becomes upset about how a female in the game looks responds with "You want my money~! I say this with relief, but most people have not expirienced sexual abuse. Obviously, this is a good thing. However, it's pretty clear these days that empathy for people who have isn't wide-spread. The point of storytelling is broadening horizons, through different perspectives. It should not just be about catering to the audience.

Storytelling is that means of spreading empathy. There is value to the experience it has to share, and regardless of if Angela is real, the experiences she's there to portray are not without inspiration sourced in reality. If your argument is "She's not real. It's not real. Why care?" then you don't get the point of the whole of storytelling. Not just games, like, all of storytelling.

I just want to draw you attention to the OP's post, the original commenter in the image said nothing about SA, it's not mentioned instead the OP brings it up as a shield to prevent any criticism of the characters redesign. That's manipulation, and only an idiot wouldn't see it.

Go on YouTube and look at all the musical performances of songs about melancholy/ vulnerability/tenderness played by legendary artists. Like “fade into you” by Mazzy Star. The top YouTube comments are full of praises on her natural beauty. We know that aesthetic beauty enhances the artistry and vice versa.
Human nature tends to gravitate toward certain types of faces. It wouldn’t be the same if she had a derpy face. Basically, some weird stuff happened, me (Hawkodile in that lifetime) and Dr. Fox (the one I'm searching for the current incarnation of) ended up doing some kinky stuff, things went wrong, I think Dr. Fox felt really guilty about it since it was mostly her idea to do what we did, and although I was bothered, I don't think I held it against her, and like.. after meditating and finding all this out, assuming it was even real, probably not, I'm probably just crazy, but anyway if it was real, I just want to find Dr. Fox's current incarnation in the off chance they remember this and are here on earth, just so I can be like "yo we're chill", in other words I wanna let them know I hold nothing against them for the accident that happened, wasn't her fault..
I also need to meditate again cause when thinking too deeply, I may have gotten a few memory flickers, as I call them, of that lifetime, and I think things go a little deeper than I thought here, sooo I really wanna know what the heck went down in that lifetime that I didn't already find
To sum this post up, crazy past life believer trying to find soul of possible person they knew in another lifetime despite the fact they themselves are constantly doubting this lifetime even though there are no signs saying it isn't a legit lifetime, they can just be in denial, even for no actual reason also yes the crazy one is talking in third person now whoops that trailed off and wasn't just a sum up and is now its own thing"

i want to install dlib in a virtual environment using pip. pip told me that it requires cmake to install dlib. cool, i installed cmake. tried to install dlib again, it still tells me to install cmake. i also don't understand why does the code try to access `__main__.py` on the cmake executable (see below)
here are the errors that pip gave

then i ran cmake install command again. it told me requirement is already satisfied.

i checked in venv -> Scripts and cmake.exe does exist there, however pip can't find it.

1. how do i fix this issue?
