2024.05.17 09:17 halospiritOG [Online][Monday 5pm PDT][PF1e][VTT] Looking for 1 player for a every other week campaign
Disclaimer: I am not the DM but a player recruiting on the DM's behalf and with their express permission.
This campaign, called Jade Chronicles, takes place in the continent of Durra, a land that has spent millennia covered in a deadly Miasma, long enough for most histories to be lost and rewritten anew a mix the struggle to survive, Over time, those living there have learn to adapt, using a combination of jade and myrrh to ward villages, towns and cities from the Miasma and having little interest to leave the safety and relative normality of settlements. Despite( or due to) a reluctance to leave the safety of settlements, trade and commerce, both legal and illegal, is in great demand. This has led to the advent of individuals known as Wanderers, adventurers with a willingness, or lack of alternatives, to travel through the Miasma in caravans, a fact that has them looked down upon by townsfolk, who assume the worst of most Wanderers and treat them as a tolerated part of life in Durra. You'll be playing as a Wanderer, traveling the roads for any variety of reasons.
Jade Chronicles is a homebrew campaign taking place in an homebrew version of Golarion featuring a number of house rules, official optional systems and setting relevant changes. The most relevant are:
- We'll be using a bell-curve in place of flat probability distribution I.e. any time you would roll 1d20, instead just use the total result of 3d6. In the long run, this tends to produce a "grittier", more realistic style of story because there are fewer fantastical coincidences. It's also because, with the average result being so much more likely, this favors the stronger side in combats. Although that's very often the PCs, it means that the choice to avoid combat is more valid – and that a villain's superiority over masses of weaker foes is more emphatic. And as an aside, it also means the GM can more safely design challenges without quite as much risk of a comical, coincidental disaster derailing the story.
- Spellcasting will be greatly altered with every spellcaster having a base pool of Mana based on class and level instead of spell slots.
- The Ability Scores spellcasting characters use to govern and manage their spellcasting are now distributed across their three mental attributes, with the save DC of your spells is based on your Intelligence score, your bonus Mana points for having a high ability score is calculated based on your Wisdom, and the amount of Mana you recover per night of sleep is equal to your Caster Level in that class plus your Charisma modifier. There is also no longer a minimum ability score required to be able to cast a spell of a given spell level for your class.
- There are a number of classes which are not appropriate to use for this story for one reason or another meaning Gunslinger, Summoner, Vigilante, Vampire Hunter and all the Occult Adventures classes are banned. Firearm technology just isn't commonplace, we won't be staying in one city fighting crime, we will be vagabond pariahs, and this is a story indeed about the relationships between travelers on an epic journey - not about the eldritch powers of the mind and mysterious aliens.
A wiki containing all house rules, necessary lore, changes and explanations for some decisions can be found on this wiki
https://jadechronicles.obsidianportal.com/wikis/main-page .
The campaign is set to run on Mondays in the evenings at 5 pm PDT. We plan to meet on the May 20nd to have Session 3, we'll be doing a non-cannon dungeon crawl to give everyone a chance to get to know each other and to playtest the rules we'll be playing by before we start the proper campaign. The intended group size is 5, so currently we have 4 players. Though subject to change, we currently have a fighter, oracle, wizard and inquisitor.
Anyone interested or having questions, message me here on reddit, direct message or chat is fine. I'm typically available in the evenings so please be patient if I don't reply immediate.

In today's digital competition building a website for your business has become of utmost priority. Having a strong online presence is essential for the success of any business. Even if you are a small business owner, having a website helps you tremendously to get attention from large audiences. A key component of this online presence is a well-designed and functional website. Websites serve as the virtual storefronts of businesses, providing a platform for showcasing products, services, and brand identity to a global audience.
In this blog post, we'll explore the various ways in which building a website can significantly contribute to the growth and success of your business.
- Increased Visibility and Reach
Having a website allows your business to be discovered by a larger audience. With billions of searches conducted on search engines like Google every day, a well-optimized website can significantly increase your visibility online. By implementing effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, such as optimizing keywords, meta tags, and content, your website can rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs), driving more organic traffic to your site. For example, a local bakery that invests in SEO can attract customers searching for "best bakeries near me," leading to increased foot traffic and sales.
- Establishing Credibility and Trust
A professionally designed website is a powerful tool for building credibility and trust with potential customers. In today's digital landscape, consumers often research businesses online before making a purchase decision. A well-designed website with clear navigation, compelling content, and positive customer testimonials helps establish trust and confidence in your brand. For instance, a law firm with a professional website featuring client testimonials and case studies can instill confidence in potential clients seeking legal services.
- 24/7 Availability and Convenience
Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar stores with fixed operating hours, a website allows your business to operate 24/7, catering to customers' needs anytime, anywhere. Whether it's browsing products, accessing information, or making purchases, customers appreciate the convenience of accessing your business online. With the increasing use of mobile devices, responsive web design ensures that your website is accessible and user-friendly across all devices, further enhancing the convenience for mobile users.
- Cost-Effectiveness and Scalability
Compared to traditional marketing methods such as print ads or television commercials, building and maintaining a website is a cost-effective way to promote your business. With the ability to reach a global audience at a fraction of the cost, websites offer unmatched scalability as your business grows. Additionally, the flexibility of websites allows for easy updates and modifications to accommodate changes in your business or industry, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.
- Marketing and Customer Engagement
A website serves as a central hub for your marketing efforts, providing various channels for engaging with customers. Through content marketing, social media integration, and email marketing, businesses can effectively promote their products or services, engage with their audience, and drive conversions. For example, an e-commerce website can utilize blog posts, social media shares, and email newsletters to showcase new products, offer promotions, and encourage repeat purchases, fostering customer loyalty and retention.

2024.05.17 09:02 Emperor_Friendpatine Can I archive my stories AND reviews from FFNET onto ao3?
So just as a quick preface, I'm considering putting all my really, really old stories (and I mean stuff I've written close to 20 years ago) in ao3. Like creating a separate account from my current one and just using it specifically for all my old stuff.
I was thinking of copying over the stories, and also all the reviews. So like e.g. The first 20 chapters will be the story, anything after that would be pages of either screenshots or copied in reviews.
Would I be breaking any ao3 rules or something by doing this since the reviews aren't really fics or anything? I just dont want to lose anything in the event FFNET nukes itself lol

Simple Tips to Book Flights from Toronto to New York
If you are looking for easy tips to reserve a flight at cheap rates, consider the following options.
- Consider Round trip- The airlines' airfare for one-way travel is often costlier than for round trips. This can be a promotional activity, but it is great when it's about cheap flight deals. A travel-savvy person is aware of the marketing strategy. So, without giving it a second thought, they plunge into the round trip for the best flights from Toronto to New York and avail of the discount on the original payment price.
- Prior booking- This hack has been followed over the years and is still effective in saving a good amount on ticket purchases. Booking three months prior is advisable if you are considering purchasing an air ticket. Flight reservations near the flight departure may cost you a lot. So, it is advisable to reserve the flight far before the flight departure.
- Night travel- Traveling during the night sounds weird, but it still has benefits. First, you don’t need to face the crowds on the way to the airport. Second, owing to the rush, you may find the prices of air tickets a bit low.
- Social Media- The emergence of the digital revolution has influenced the airlines as well as other sectors. Airlines reveal their offers through social media pages as a promotion for travelers. If you have to book cheap Flights from Toronto to New York, as a traveler, you must sign up for the airline on its different social media platforms so that you won’t miss the opportunity to book a cheap flight.
- Prefer off-season- If you have to visit a place of your choice and the air ticket cost is high, you must wait until the destination’s off-season arrives. The off-season helps you get cheap airfare and reduces accommodation and other expenses.
- Welcome Bonus- On the initial sign-up to the airline’s page, passengers get a discount that they can redeem while making a payment for booking flights from Toronto to New York. This way, a passenger can consider getting a cheap, inexpensive flight.
- Lowtickets- Book an air ticket to the destination from LowTickets. It is a reliable third-party trip-service provider. The internet may be flooded with other flight service providers, but the search for a trustworthy source will end with LowTickets only. If you are looking to book last-minute flight deals, then low tickets will be a choice that meets your budget preferences.
- Subscribe for notifications- You can set price alerts. It becomes impossible for a person to check the airfare every time, which will waste precious time and effort. To avoid such unnecessary hassle, you can make things easy by subscribing to the airline’s page.
- Connecting flights- A passenger should consider connecting flights rather than opting for direct flights for cheap Flights from Toronto to New York. The fares of direct or non-stop flights are expensive compared to those of connecting flights. So, it is important to consider the prices of connecting flights. If you find it cheaper, you can book the reservation.
- Go Incognito- If you search on the web, you may find airline prices expensive, but while you do the search incognito, the price will appear cheaper. It is advisable to book an air ticket using incognito or a VPN. It will show the precise amount, and there is a chance that airfare will go low.
The tips provided above will help you find cheap air bookings, which will help you avoid high-priced air tickets. Besides these, you can rely upon low tickets, where the air ticket fare is low, which you may find preferable.

2024.05.17 08:49 forewrite My 17-step process for writing really good blog posts that people will ACTUALLY read
I've been writing blog posts for the last few years. Over time, I've come up with a good system that actually has a soul and not just pieced together purely for SEO that no one would enjoy reading.
Here it is: - Work out the title I’m going to write - like is it going to be an ultimate guide, best practices etc.
- Read through 10-20 already written blog posts + additional research outside of the SERPs to deeply understand the topic.
- Pull out bullet points of the interesting bits. Have a Notion page to organize this.
- List out my angle so I can remind myself that I’m not just re-iterating stuff from other posts but have a different eye. For this one it’s specifically for B2B SaaS and things I’ve seen work. Most other articles cover eCommerce etc. use cases which a SaaS marketer wouldn’t care about.
- Roughly list out the sections I’ll write based on the SERPs. Just the headings and some bullet points. I have used forewrite .com ai copywriting tool.
- (This is the outline done)
- Pull up tone reference. I LOVE marketermilk [dot] com’s tone. It is very friendly with good structure for SEO. I have this open the whole time I’ writing.
- I start with a good opening story. Had 2 different options for this one. Bullet points to expand on later since sometimes as you’re writing, the story up top changes.
- Have 2-3 other blog posts/references open to pull in insights from as I’m writing.
- Then it’s just writing to fill up each section. I try to give out hidden gems, things that only a deep expert would know instead of plain-old click here click there. In this post, I talked about give your team “Full” access because that’s what I do. People appreciate this.
- I add contextual images along the way with annotations and add alt tags in a way that when screen readers read it, it makes sense as a sentence.
- I try to start every section off with an overview of what the reader will learn upfront.
- Paragraphs should have less than 3 sentences. Any time there is a long list of items, I immediately delete and make it a list because it’s much easier on the eyes.
- Instead of a conclusion that just reiterates what you read I do a Next Steps to provide a jumping off point.
- I leave sentences half-written when they are obvious what they are going to be about and move to other sections.
- At the end I do a full read through, complete sentences and only edit and then do another fixing/rewriting.
- I have Grammarly turned on the whole time to provide edits

2024.05.17 08:48 forewrite My 17-step process for writing really good blog posts that people will ACTUALLY read

2024.05.17 08:35 Patient_Act_1547 How to Do SEO for Your Business Website
| Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is essential for improving your website’s visibility on search engines like Google. By optimizing your site, you can attract more visitors, increase your online presence, and boost your business. Here’s a simple guide on how to do SEO for your business website. 1. Keyword Research Start by finding the right keywords that potential customers might use to search for your products or services. Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, or SEMrush to identify relevant keywords with good search volume and low competition. Focus on both short-tail (e.g., “shoes”) and long-tail keywords (e.g., “best running shoes for women”). 2. Optimize Your Content Once you have your keywords, incorporate them naturally into your website’s content. This includes your homepage, product pages, blog posts, and meta descriptions. Make sure your content is informative, engaging, and relevant to your audience. Avoid keyword stuffing, as it can harm your rankings. 3. Improve Website Structure A well-structured website makes it easier for search engines to crawl and index your site. Use clear headings (H1, H2, H3) to organize your content. Ensure your site is easy to navigate with a logical menu structure. Create an XML sitemap and submit it to search engines to help them understand your site’s layout. 4. Enhance Mobile Friendliness With more people using smartphones to browse the internet, having a mobile-friendly website is crucial. Use responsive design to ensure your site looks good and functions well on all devices. Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test can help you check if your site meets mobile usability standards. 5. Increase Page Load Speed A fast-loading website provides a better user experience and can improve your search engine rankings. Compress images, leverage browser caching, and minimize CSS and JavaScript files to speed up your site. Tools like Google PageSpeed Insights can help you identify and fix performance issues. 6. Build Quality Backlinks Backlinks from reputable websites can boost your site’s authority and improve your rankings. Focus on creating high-quality content that others want to link to. You can also reach out to industry influencers, write guest posts, and participate in online forums to build backlinks. 7. Use Social Media Social media platforms can drive traffic to your website and improve your SEO efforts. Share your content on social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to reach a broader audience. Engage with your followers, respond to comments, and encourage sharing to increase your content’s visibility. 8. Monitor and Analyze Performance Regularly monitor your SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Track key metrics such as organic traffic, bounce rate, and keyword rankings. Use this data to identify what’s working and where you need to make improvements.
