I have so far been up all night as I can’t fall asleep for nothing. I have been stressing so much lately and there is nothing that can ease the stress.. on top of the thoughts of what can happen to the baby long term medical wise from all this stress. It’s honestly so much eating away at me and I just don’t know what to do with these thoughts. I am going to just write away everything that’s been eating away at me.. that is why this is going to be very long as it’s been a lot so far… I got off birth control in December as life was going amazing and it was giving me awful migraines as I was rearing my third year being on nexplanon. I knew that there could be a possibility of getting pregnant and honestly with how life was going the thought of potentially getting our boy as we have two girls right now was really exciting me. I have been working from home and recently got a huge raise and things were looking great. A month after getting off the birth control I started feeling weird, that intuition feeling came. Shortly after, my job that I had been with for almost 3 years randomly lays off a lot of employees including me with no notice or anything. I thought it would be a long term job but they eventually grew financial issues. Of course I didn’t want to abort this baby just because my job laid me off. I am a very independent person so of course I would do anything to make sure me and mine are straight. I start back doordashing full time from 9 am to 9 pm and I stay an hour from the nearest city so the stress of wear and tear on my car has always scared me but you gotta do what you gotta do as a parent. Of course they say I’m eligible for unemployment and I’ve tried endless times to file for it and they always denied me due to work searches as I wasn’t applying to the right places when I was applying EVERYWHERE. No matter what I put. Every week would get denied cause of this and the phone number is impossible to reach someone. So I’ve given up on unemployment. We lived off of our tax return plus DoorDashing which I really wanted to save this money. The work search has been so stressful. I got a seasonal job and did amazing at it working up to 18 hours overtime one day but they over hired people so there was way to many people to consider hiring everyone full time so once it ended less then a month of working there that was it. Until I got a call from my dream job which my mom and my bf mom both work there and it pays way higher then what I’ve made on top of providing a hybrid schedule too. I felt it was a stretch applying but my resume looked really good so I went for it. I got an interview with them and the interviewer loved me and said he felt really confident in me and would like to offer me the position. Of course I’m overly excited cause this is my dream job. After filling out the onboarding and going to scheduled onboarding appointments they state there was only one issue stopping my onboarding which was a previous account with them that had restrictions on it that I was not aware of. I trusted the wrong “friends” back in high school 7 YEARS AGO with my personal information not knowing any better and they did fraud with my information and of course it fell back on me. I even paid back every owed penny from the fraud to clear my name to move on from that mistake. They never told me they also proceeded to put restrictions cause of it. So my onboarding was put on hold until I handled the restrictions. Fast forward a month later of struggling making ends meet. We have no more income tax money.. but at least I finally receive a response saying the restrictions would be removed. So finally we receive great news. I let the people know and they proceed to let me know that someone will reach out to me in 5-7 days and it has now surpassed that time frame with no response and I am just so scared that they won’t follow through.. It is now June and I have been struggling to get a full time job since February and I am holding onto the little ounce of hope that this job will follow through like they said… Holding onto that ounce of hope as doordash grew very stressful I decided to pull all of my retirement out from my previous job to put into savings in case we need it for an emergency especially if the car were to go out on us. on top of our apartment lease renewal coming up. We did NOT want to renew the lease because this apartment has treated us HORRIBLY since we moved in. We came from a clean bug free apartment due to the rent randomly increasing twice since we moved in it and moved 30 minutes to be closer to my OLD job and his family. We moved into this apartment because I had a work friend refer it to me saying it was her first apartment and she fell in love with it. Not knowing we were going to get the worst apartment building probably out of the whole complex. Since we moved in we could not look at the apartment until after the lease was signed and given the keys. We moved ONE box into the place and came back days later to move the rest of our stuff. We moved that box and SO MANY roaches scattered from it and we knew instantly we got played and that now all of our things were going to be roach infested now. Fast forward almost a whole year later we have tried endless methods to get rid of them such as boric acid, orthene, endless traps, endless raid bottles, ONTOP of the apartment buildings monthly pest control coming in doing whatever they do and WE STILL HAVE THEM. No matter what we do they are not leaving as I believe even tho we try different methods it won’t matter if everyone else in the building aren’t trying to get rid of them. They are probably being constantly rotated between the other apartments around us so it’s useless. I DO NOT WANT TO BRING MY NEW BORN BABY INTO THIS APARTMENT. On top of all the plugs in the walls has blown in the living room. I let the landlord know about this and they sent there only technician to check it out and they didn’t know what they were doing. They switched the power surge switches on and off and it fixed the plugs but they proceeded to go back out the next day. We haven’t even been there a year and the refrigerator has been tearing up like crazy. The whole bottom of it has ripped off cause apparently the adhesive is so strong when closing and opening that it slowly tore its own frame off. We had to use gorilla glue to glue it back on and it’s so far worked. On top of the rims around the door got so many rips in it. The door holders on the fridge can’t hold anything heavy or else the whole shelf falls off same as the door handles on the freezer so we have to carefully move things around it and put only certain things in those spots or else it’s all going to the floor. The first red flag of the apartment is there are no washer and dryer hook ups and that is honestly the least of our problems with this place.. the bolts on the dish washer are so tiny and unscrewed with time and randomly the whole dish washer completely fell down from being poorly connected to the counter. Whenever you open it to put dishes in you have to hold the racks or else the whole dish washer will fall forward and they will roll out with all the dishes in it. I’m so over this place and we have BEEN ready to move out. So once the 30 days came up I contacted the landlord about the 30 day notice that we were going to move out before the lease renewed. She proceeded to tell me with no emotion that they required a 60 DAY notice in advance prior to our lease end date and that our lease already renewed for another YEAR. She didn’t even try to help us out and did not provide any kind of notice or reminding about the 60 day notice. She just kept repeating that we signed the lease and it is written in the lease. She said if we move out we will be responsible to pay the months rent for each upcoming month until a new tenant moves in and takes over the lease which is very unlikely as they have full control on whether they want to move someone new in or continue to bill us the monthly rent.. So now we are trying to figure out how we are going to work out this New obstacle/road block and I am already halfway through my pregnancy. All of this stress has been eating me alive for the whole beginning of my pregnancy and it ALL came out of the blue. This is not how I pictured being pregnant with my third baby and I feel completely miserable right now. I am struggling doordashing all day just waiting for any kind of good news. We are thinking about ditching this apartment and going to stay with my mom until we find a full time job to afford a new apartment as we just want to start the process of this landlord potentially searching for a new tenant to take this burden off of us. We do not wish to pay two apartment rents as my credit is amazing and I know if they put any of this apartments owed rent when we move out on my collections it will ruin my credit.. we have been growing it for when we are ready to get our first home. So I know not paying it is not an option for me. I’ve just been wishing this ongoing nightmare will finally come to an end and I can finally receive any kind of good news. I was sooo excited about this pregnancy but now I have zero excitement for it as I have been through endless stressing and roadblocks the whole pregnancy so far. I am afraid that this stress and pain will affect the baby long term.. I do not wish to bring this baby into this apartment as I fully wish to be in a new upgraded apartment bug free when the baby comes in October my birthday month.. It’s just super hard holding onto any kind of motivation right now and the pain is slowly eating me up inside.. I just really needed to get all of this off of my chest and hopefully maybe I can finally get some sleep right now. Hello, I want to share a method that has already earned me several thousand dollars.
Initially, I didn’t want to share it with anyone, not even with friends, but then I thought, why not. If I help someone today, they might help me tomorrow.

With civilians and good people who are part of the Confederation, and some evil people who are part of the Republic.
Showing Evil Clones in particular would have also reinforced the theme that the Clones are individuals with free will. And having free will means choosing between good and evil, and not everyone chooses good.
Maybe show that some Clone Legions don't have Jedi Generals to bring the best out of them, but are lead by normal officers who either don't care abaout the Clones or allow them to commit war crimes. Tarkin or some other future Imperial commander would be a good fit for an Evil Republic General, seeing how the foundations of the Empire and its army were already begin laid.
Its best if the evil characters on the Republic side are not directly connected to Palpatine, the Sith don't have a monopoly on evil and it would cheapen the story.

I’ve decided to cut ties with my mother.
And I’ve never wanted kids. But the times when I haven’t spoken to her, is when it doesn’t feel like a completely ridiculous idea. And then I’ve had these moments where I can’t imagine not becoming a mother. And then I cry a lot. I’m angry because I feel like this was taken from me. I was parentified, I had my hands full dealing with my parents and sister. All of them couldn’t deal with emotions, they couldn’t hold space for anyone else. And for whatever reason, I was born a little therapist.
And I mainly did that for my mother. No one else listened to her, was patient, empathetic. I’m so tired from taking care of my mother, who very often felt like a child to me, still does. I remember her telling me about her trauma when I was 4. I’m pretty sure she’s done it from the moment I was born. My sister would simply walk away, always has and still does. And my instinct was to listen, comfort, gently give advice. My sister has kids, and I can see why it was possible for her. She has very solid boundaries, somehow.
When people describe what it’s like having kids, I think: I’ve already done that. The worrying, the temper tantrums, her going through some sort of puberty at 45, the dangerous boyfriends, trying to protect her, always being there if she needs to vent, giving advice on simple adult stuff. So. much. worrying. And guilt, always. When I wasn’t available to her 24/7. The phone always has to be on, I have to know if she needs me.
The other way around there is no support. I can’t call. She’s ignored me for weeks, months. It’s just exactly what having kids sounds like, but worse. And I would’ve loved being a parent, I’m such a caretaker, but I’ve already done it. With someone who made me feel worthless, who abandonded me any time I was struggling and sick.
Now I’m 34, and I don’t think it’ll happen. But something I feel now, for the first time: I better cut ties with my mother so that if I do want kids, I’ll have had some time for myself. I better reparent myself some more, so I won’t need to do as much of that if it does happen. I need to break cycles, I don’t want to be like my mother, who never stopped looking for unconditional love in her children, and now uses her grandchildren the same way.
It’s a very strange feeling to feel like you want to(have to?) be a good parent - to kids that might never exist, but also to yourself, to a future partner, to friends. I suspect I have just felt like a parent for so long, like a mother, that my brain is trained to think this way. Which is fucked up, and makes me feel physically nauseous. As if I’m not my own person, as if nothing’s ever equal, I’m only here to take care of others. And then I immediately want to tell myself: I’m not a parent, I don’t have that responsibility, I’m free, I don’t have to be anything to anyone anymore, if I don’t want to. I’ve spent enough time being of service to others.
This stuff is just so confusing. There are so many conflicting feelings. And I’m curious if anyone can relate.

So I purchased an iPhone 15 and an Apple Watch SE Online and during the process of it being shipped from UPS, it was stolen. I don’t know if it was UPS or if Verizon had sent it like that but it arrived at my house with the box ripped open and the phone and watch gone. They left the chargers and band. I filed a claim with UPS and Verizon, Verizon said it will take about 48 hours to get an email about reimbursement. UPS said less than 8 days and this morning I got an email from Verizon saying my device was activated. So as of now, I don’t know what to do I’ve never been in this situation before. I just switched over to Verizon so I don’t have an actual account until I activate that phone which I don’t have. I didn’t have the Protection coverage deal that Verizon offered but on the paper it said 1 year warranty, so I don’t know if that will cover my lost goods for free. I would appreciate any suggestions and advice, it’s very unfortunate and frustrating, I was looking forward to getting this phone and watch all week, just for it to be tampered with and snatched. Robbing me of my hard earned money.

In order to understand, I'll have to give a lot of context surrounding the job, so strap in. I work on a rig in North Dakota and there's a chain of command. The positions (lowest to highest) go floorhand, motorhand, derrickhand (me, 24M), driller, then toolpusher. There is a company representative for our customer but that won't be relevant in this story. The rig runs 24/7, with a day and night crew each working 12.5 hours for 14 day stretches. As you could probably imagine, we get irritated with each other from time to time as we work 175 hours in 2 weeks with no lunch breaks, short smoke breaks if a guy can find a minute. That being said, we do our best to get along out here. Nobody wants to hate someone they are stuck with for that long, no matter how different of lives we may lead form one another. Well, the two tool pushers weeks off are staggered from ours so we get 1 week with TP1, one week with TP2. 2 days ago (under TP2's tower), one of my floorhands told me he was going to write an anonymous email to HR about the condition of his man camp as the hands staying in there have been getting sick. Against my advice and behind my back, he sent the email. I had already discussed the issue with TP1 and he arranged to have the camp professionally cleaned. Word got back to the VP of drilling and he replaced their camp the same day. No problems, right? Wrong. At relief time that afternoon I went out to let the daytime derrickhand go in and TP2 was out there. He brought it up to everyone that there was a second email sent, outlining some problems someone had with him. I don't know the content of said email, but everyone has been referring to it as the "TP2 is a douchebag" email. I wasn't too surprised to hear that HR had been contacted about him because he can be a pain in the ass and very vindictive. I've worked with TP2 for 3 years now and while he has his moments, I respected him (definitely past tense now.) Later on in the evening, I went to his shack to ask him what was going on with the situation and he kept saying "I know who did it. That sucks for them because they have to come through me for a promotion. They have to come to me for anything they need out here." I had an issue with that statement because of how unprofessional (and illegal if I'm not mistaken) it was but I held my tongu and brushed it off. Promotions are a pretty common occurrence out here so it could have been anyone. At the beginning of my shift last night, he called me over to his man camp, where he started grilling me and accusing me of writing the email because I knew about the floorhands email. I clarified with him that I had advised against it and had already made plans with TP1 which I have definite proof of. He continued to press me and accuse me, and only stopped when I brought up all of the times him and I got into screaming matches because I wasn't afraid to call him out. He then said "I know it wasn't you, I just wanted to hear you say it. I know who did it." An hour ago when my relief came to work, he informed me that TP2 had already heavily insinuated to day crew that it was me to, to the point where they knew he couldn't have been talking about anyone else. There's already precursors for legal issues as it's clear as day that he has a vendetta and is trying to retaliate. At what point do I make a real stink of the issue? I want to believe that the issue can be resolved within the company, but I'm not a punk and won't let another man mess with my income/ career path. I have shown nothing but dedication to this company for 5 years and now I'm in a position where I feel like it will come to legal recourse. The hard part is proving retaliation because our job scope covers a wide range of tasks. Some of them REALLY suck. Cruel or unusall punishment seems like a stretch as it's hard to prove with a job such as this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and I apologize for how long winded the post is. I want to be thorough so any advice I receive is relatively applicable to my situation. Feel free to disregard my opinion on the legalities, I wouldn't be here if I had a law degree.

Hi everyone!
My name is Tymedust and I'm a game developer focusing on visual novels with interactive elements (my name's URL goes to my games on itch.io if anyone wants to check them out).
This July I'm entering a short-form Jam (basically an event where you develop games during set time and content restrictions) with heavy limitations, and I'm interested in creating something with a creepier vibe than my earlier projects, being a life-long fan of horror.
With that in mind I was hoping I could throw this out there in order to get input from fellow horror gamers, and perhaps get some discussions going on how to create something effective within the set limits of this event.
First off, the limitations:

• A maximum of 1000 words
• Only one music track
• Only one sound effect
• Only one sprite/character
• Only one background (full-color BGs i.e. wholly black, wholly white etc don't count)

Other than that, it's relatively free-form what you can do. You can play around with visual effects (zooms, slowdowns, camera panning, etc) and as long as you don't add more content to the above list, it's allowed. In order words, there's a lot of room for creativity within the constraints.
Second off, what I have so far to work with (I can't show any actual assets since you aren't allowed to start working on them until the Jam starts proper, so this is all in the pre-planning stage):

• A hand-drawn portrait of a young, gothic girl: she is sitting on the left side of the screen, writing something, her hands animated (she also has a number of different facial expressions, which is also allowed as long as the pose itself doesn't change)
• The right side of the screen has the text portion of the game, the player will be able to choose between different words, and the words chosen then form various short poems/plot points (the character is a writer), these are then read aloud by a voice actor (this is a bit similar to the poem mini-game found in Doki Doki Literature Club, a VN which blew up a few years back)

So that's basically the concept; a writer and her words. The mood is dark and atmospheric, and I'm definitely feeling an influence from horror poetry (at one time I considered making the game poetry-only, but I'm not sure if that will catch a modern player in the same way... though it's not entirely off the table).
This is where I welcome any and all ideas. What should happen, what should her writing be about, what kind of effects should be used within the constraints of the Jam to create atmosphere, mood and horror?
It should be noted that I do already have several potential ideas, but I feel like I'm missing something, like the final piece of the puzzle to make this go from "cool" to "damn cool", so to speak.
I'm very thankful for any input, and should I utilize any ideas mentioned here in the final product, I'll of course provide proper credit. :) I also welcome examples for short horror games that you'd recommend me to check out which might be influential within this setting.

So, for context I am currently 22 F, I weigh about 140 and I'm 5'8, everybody else in the house is morbidly obese, which I only add because this isn't about him caring about my weight or anything.
So, some quick backstory:
I've been stuck in this narcissist household since my mom died at 20, I only stayed because she was really sick and he was abusive and I was scared to leave her alone. Anyways.
He quickly found another woman 3 months after she died, and moved her and her daughter in soon after. Without even considering how that may make me feel. Yet he claims moral high ground. I tried to get along with her after a while, it didn't end up working out. She became his slave. Which he loves.
I was working last year and making really great money but also struggling with substance abuse and I quit after being SA'd at a work retreat. I also lost my car within that time. And now my father cries wolf about me finding a job. Which I did...several times.. with great pay, each time he said would help me with Uber until my first paycheck, and each time he fell flat, during training too. I swear he gets off on getting my hopes up, keeping me stuck and him in control. I have a plan, and I'll be out by the end of the yeaearly next year.
Now, things have escalated very far. He purchased a mini fridge awhile back and it was seldomly used. Now, he comes home with a shit ton of groceries, with most or half of it going straight upstairs to his cringey little gatekeepy fridge. All he keeps downstairs for me is milk, bread, lettuce, ham, cheese etc. Gulag ass type shit. And it isn't a money issue...we live in a very nice house and he has a great job etc. He also has 3 cameras alone in the kitchen. Watching every move I make.. which he loves. Watching the ring cameras at 2 am for entertainment while I struggle to put a decent meal together. Most days I just eat bread dipped in mustard (kinda good). It's almost like he's glad my mom is gone so he can abuse me this way. I even had meat defrosting and when him and my step mom woke up they took it from me and took it upstairs to hide it. I was really stoked. I cried for hours.
He hates me because I'm his biggest opp. I always call out his bullshit and abusiveness and he hates being reminded of how evil he truly is, behind the covert narcissistic mask. Anyways that's my rant/vent. I've never done this before. If there is any questions, feel free to ask. There is a shit ton else he does.
TL:DR - My father loves to mentally abuse me by hiding food from me because he hates me and loves control

Hi I (21, female) to get closure from my ex best friend. I was best friends with her since high school. I had a group of friends that we created in high school. Okay so full story is that, there was a guy who liked to flirt and harassed people to the point they were uncomfortable. My ex best friend came to me about this and we had our paragraphs moments back and forth. She started to trauma dump me about everything. I told her I’ll talk to this guy about it and make him apologize to the people he has harassed and set up boundaries. When she trauma dump me I felt overwhelmed because yes I want to help out my friends who are being harassed by this person. He a grown ass guy that should know what are the wrong and rights. Then I had friends leaving me because I was “friends” with the guy who liked to harassed people. I never said I was friends with him. But any ways I wanted to know that part of this semi story. To know the full context.
My best friend and I would talk about everything. The thing is everyone knew she was a bit toxic in her way but I didn’t see it. (Just to let you know I suck recognizing at who bad or good at people.) Until my boyfriend pointed it out to me what she been doing to me and making me feel. Every time I was near her I would feel drained or I would be upset because I felt stressed around her. The group we had were kind of like hypocrites, can’t say that but they can. Like if the gay can say the f word but other gay can’t say it because it wrong. Bad example, but we been having her and I problems. That I haven’t been hanging out with her but when I want to hang out with her she would cancel last minute. She would have a problem with my boyfriend. Saying that he bickering at her or other things. To the point she wrote me so many paragraphs, saying that her and I been taking our path. She saw me as her sister but now she doesn’t. She ended up blocking me for two months and then unblocked me like a couple weeks ago. I just need other perspective. There are other things forgot to mention but please don’t come to get me for it. TLDR: I want to give you benchmarks and scientific processes to understand the outcome of the 2024 election without any prejudice.
There are many opinion polls and analyses that are giving extreme predictions of 2024 outcome like one from Parakala Prabhakar predicts ~150 seats for BJP and some others predict 375. Coming from a family of politicians .Without any prejudice let me explain how the process works and how to get a correct sense of the election. Thumb rules: I will give a detailed explanation later, but please keep these rules in mind. 1. Elections are won by grassroots cadres who bring voters to the voting booth. You cannot win elections unless that happens.

1. Voters vote in their best interest and they have clarity on that and the illiterate/poorly educated ones have better clarity. Voters are not stupid or could be fooled or people's mandate can be stolen.
   
2. वक़्त करता है परवरिश बरसों, हादसा एक दम नहीं होता : Things doesn’t happen all of a sudden, it happens over a while. Likewise, people don’t change their minds just because X incident has happened. Let's say on a weighing scale while pouring peanuts on one pan, on the 100th peanut scale tilts on its side so we cannot categorically say that the 100th peanut was historic or there is something special about it.
   
3. Media and money cannot buy votes.
   
4. EVMs cannot be hacked/manipulated.
   
5. In God we trust, others bring data.
   

Let’s say you go to a Mercedes showroom and say to the salesman that you have a strong feeling that I should own this Mercedes and even all my friends feel the same. You are not going to get that Mercedes unless the sum total of the money in your bank is more than what the price of the car. If not, then the salesman would ask you to get lost, the same thing you should tell anyone who analyses something based on their feeling. This is why analysis of Parakala P can be dismissed as he has mentioned in the beginning that it is his feeling.
Next in line are charlatans like Yogendra Yadav who with their sweet talk mix data with their feelings. He is taking data from previous elections and mixing his feelings to predict the outcome. I would trust the analysis of Pradeep Gupta or News24 Today’s Chanakya. These people have a very high rate of predicting election outcomes correctly, we need to understand their methods and how they can predict them correctly.
To understand their methods, we must first understand how people arrive at a decision to vote for a specific party.
Every party has 3 distinct types of voters:

1. Core voters: These voters will vote for a given party even if the sun rises in the west. A classic example is BSP. Its core voters are the SC/ST community and without any effort or presence in media or SM in the 2022 UP election, they got ~13% vote. Every major party has 10-20% (of the total eligible voters).

The core voter base will vote for a party even without a leader, even if leaders engage in crimes or corruption, it doesn’t matter. Long back I asked an old man who would vote for in a gram panchayat polls? He said, Indira Gandhi. At that time, I thought the old man was delusional however, I now understand that he voted for Congress because he felt obligated to vote for Indira Gandhi even if she died 3 decades ago. A core voter feels a lifetime obligation towards a specific party for any specific incident that has changed their life. E.g. Core voters of Shiv Sena voters vote because Shiv Sainiks saved their lives in the riots post Babri demolition or BSP voters vote for Kanshi Ram because he educated them about their constitutional rights and gave them a dignified life.

1. Loyal voters: These voters are loyal to a specific party/leader however, they have a defined fault line and if their party/leader crosses that fault line they vote against that party/leader. E.g. a BJP voter has a fault line of Hindutva or nationalism and if they feel that fault line is crossed they would vote against BJP to express their anger because that fault line is crossed. As long as the fault line is not crossed the party/leader engaged in crime or corruption doesn’t matter. The percentage of loyal voters changes each election, but you cannot win unless you have ~15-20% loyal voters. Floating voter: This voter would vote based on his criteria and perception however this kind of voter is usually in the range of 5% of the total voters. Core voters form the bulwark of the party and support the party voraciously even at it’s lowest point, these voters keep the party alive in its bad days, but you cannot win the elections without the support of the loyal voters. These voters along with the floating voters help the party cross the finish line which is usually 30-45%. When an incumbent party loses elections with a major loss, it usually means the loyal voters have voted against them. Floating voters matter when there is regime change because, in that kind of a fight, every vote counts. Bhau Torsekar , a Marathi journalist had accurately predicted 2014 and 2019 results without any survey and wrote books on he arrived at these figures. Let me summarise his methodology. He has identified swing seats, i.e. a constituency where the difference between the 1st and 2nd candidate should be less than 15% or BJP had won that seat in recent part, which he calls fight seats, i.e. seats where a party has a realistic chance of winning. That number was close to 300 and with Modi as PM candidate and Amit Shah as strategist of UP state that swing of 15% was achieved and in some cases even more and that is how the majority was won. Anyone who was closely involved in that election would know what fever was there to elect Modi. I personally remember that my family members who were loyalists of Congress had been angry with Congress since 90s and would say that they would now vote for Vajpayee just before going to vote and for Congress. Despite the disgruntlement and a charismatic leader like Vajpayee, they voted for Congress. The breaking point came when the Congress leadership behaved in a very high-handed manner with my Uncle and refusing to meet him, which was considered as a big insult by his supporters. BJP leadership grabbed the opportunity with both hands, had a series of meeting and scales were titled in 2014 election. 5 lakh voters switched from Congress to BJP and they became loyal voters of BJP. This fever I had seen in my colleagues and neighbours. With all the scandals of the world, bad publicity and wide-scale protests, Modi’s allure, and Shah’s micromanagement, unprecedented rise of 8% in the polls, the BJP’s vote share rose by just 12%. For India alliance to come tilt the scales, they will have to raise their vote share by at least 10% and I see no signs of that happening. Having disgruntled voters is one part, but disgruntled voters are not going to switch parties unless the opposition has addressed all the needs of the voters. Most voters in India are directly dependent on the government’s social benefit schemes and it used to be a struggle to get those benefits from Sarkari babu. Modi turned the tables and made the Sarkari Babu struggle to deliver the promised benefit. The voters is mostly voting for his issues like water, food, social justice, and security. He is not bothered by Modi being a dictator or a democracy in danger. For them, issues can range from getting 5 Kg of free rice to road from village to highway. If that is done he is happy to vote for the leader who has done that.
Please take these factors into account.

1. 55 swing seats are there for BJP.
   
2. The vote share of the India alliance will fall. Why? Because the cadre is leaving these parties.
   
3. The vote share of the BJP will rise because the above cadre has come to the BJP. Tag this with streamline and tight control of central leadership.
   

While most people will call Amit Shah as Chanakya, I see him as a top class administrator who has set processes for the BJP karyakartas to execute their task which is mind-boggling. These guidelines come with minute details like font size. There are leaders like Amit Shah or better in other parties however, they have not given a thought of putting down their experience on paper making guidelines, creating a robust feedback system, etc. You can consider BJP like McDonald's which has detailed processes to replicate the success in every franchise, while the other parties are like top restaurants in your city which are top class where they operate but cannot take their success beyond that restaurant because they have not made their restaurant process oriented.
The best-case scenario for BJP is 355 however, 325 would be a rational figure.

I just started being active and think my content has potential because I just mostly replicate popular posts in my own way but they get stuck at low views - for example I post a photo carousel and it has 800 views and 150 likes (from non followers), that’s a really good ratio and shows that the few people who saw it liked it. Why doesn’t tik tok push it to more people? I have been active for maybe about 2 weeks and post every day at least once.
In general about 10% of viewers also like the post, so why are my posts stuck at such low views?

Hi everyone, I'm excited to finally be a homeowner, but the journey here was bumpy!
I’ve recently completed on a new-build house* and moved in about a month ago. While it was a relatively quick process compared to the stories I’ve seen here (about 7 weeks from reservation to completion), I did have some unpleasant experiences dealing with solicitors.
For example:

• There seemed to be no sync between team members handling my case; I had multiple emails asking me to resubmit the same documents I had already sent.
• Having to download documents to sign them felt outdated and inconvenient.
• I often felt lost with the documents uploaded by the solicitors since there was no clear guidance on what to do next. I frequently had to call or email them to find out the next steps.
• The onboarding process was also quite clunky, and there was a lack of transparency between the initial quotation and the final cost.
• Lastly, I struggled with understanding the legal jargon in many of the documents.

I’m curious to hear from others about their experiences. Did you face similar issues, or was your process smoother? What were the most frustrating parts for you when dealing with solicitors during your house buying process?
*The house had already been built and brought back to the market by the developer (Bloor Homes) as the sale to the initial buyer fell through. I guess this contributed to the relatively fast process. Plus I'm a first-time buyer.

I remember when I first heard about Dungeon Meshi. It was just a show that was coming up for Winter this year. I had never heard of the show prior to this, and based on the premise and PVs, I thought it'd just be another fantasy show that didn't really need to be a fantasy. Or one of those shows that use Fantasy like a skin because that's what sells.
I remember expecting it to be something similar to Campfire Cooking in Another world. I mean, the title "Delicious in Dungeon" Doesn't really tell me much.
The only seriously noteworthy thing I found about the show was "Oh, it's by Studio Trigger a pretty famous Studio," also I just realized this is the first Studio Trigger show I've seen. Another thing being during the KV reveal, soooo many people were talking about how this is one of if not their favourite manga of all time. And I was just like... huuuh??? I've never even heard of this manga, but somehow, everyone who's read it holds it on such a high regard. Also the fanbase (prior to the anime blowing up) seemed pretty chill.
I remember watching the first episode and thinking, aw, that's pretty nice.
I thought it had better world building and set designs than Campfire Cooking, but Campfire had the better looking food. Looking back, it's almost nothing like Campfire cooking aside from the food, but back then, I still had that expectation going into it.
By that point, I was also getting a bit of an anime burnout so I was ready to drop it once I got to the halfway 13 episode mark. It was better produced than a lot of other anime out there, but nothing about the story was really gripping.
I forgot what exactly pushed me to continue, but I will say, it's definitely not the Manga Readers who kept half spoiling during every episode discussion. Nevertheless, I kept going.
I think the closest comparison I can think of with my experience with this show is Fullmetal Alchemist. I wasn't really hooked early on, but before I knew it, when I reached a certain episode and looked back, I was already hooked.
Dungeon Meshi is probably my favourite Fantasy Anime the past 2 years. I'm pretty sure Next year's crunchyroll anime awards will have Frieren win, but man- Dungeon Meshi is just a whole different experience.
The world building in this show is phenomenal. It feels so rich and vast and the way they explain the "science" behind everything makes it feel more like a nature's documentary episode than a fantasy show. You forget these things aren't real and it starts to look more like a possibility.
The "food" are also insanely creative. The delicacies they can cook up with pretty much any creature can make you salivate. The frogs having protective skin against poisonous vines, the muscles living inside the hollow armours, the dragon sack containing gas and their mouths having a "click" to spark it. It's brilliant! This show is absolutely brilliant!
And it's not just the world building that makes this show feel so alive. How the author manages to balance out the perspectives of so many interesting characters and give them depth is fascinating to watch. Not just the main character's party, any and all characters introduced, even outside of that adds something. They feel like they can exist in their own story. It makes you think of the "everyone is the protagonist of their story" line. Kabru is- Just talking about it makes me hype! I love how he overanalyses people. The way he deduced a lot of Laois' party's movements were downright scary much like a certain scene in an Episode of Oshi no Ko (OnK watches, you know the episode), it reminded me of that!
I think the moment "world building" becomes just great for me is when I can feel the world existing outside of the characters. I felt this way with Frieren, Mushoku Tensei, Made in Abyss, The Lord of the Rings, Re:Zero, and now ofc, Dungeon Meshi.
But... yeah, I think Dungeon Meshi is my definitive pure fantasy show OAT now. I have not yet read the manga, I'm only an anime watcher, but even if they continue just this quality with the anime, I know I'll be giving this show a good 10/10 in my list.
Also to compare it a bit more with Frieren. I find it really fascinating. I know comparing two shows is generally frowned upon because both shows should be judged with their own merits and whatnot, but since I view these two as absolute 10/10's and both acting as pure fantasy, I can't help but want to compare them seeing how different my experiences were.
For Frieren, I already gave it a 10/10 in my list, but it feels like a completely different type of Fantasy from Dungeon Meshi. If I were to say, Frieren does more in the way of using the fantasy element to tell a human story. It feels more like a life anime using the fantasy setting as a tool. Frieren herself being the best example of this. The author using an elf to explore the long life of Frieren outliving her comrades and how that affects her.
Dungeon Meshi, on the other hand, feels like fantasy is the center of the story. It's not a tool to tell a story, the fantasy world is the story. Every day we just learn more and more about this world in a way that goes deeper than most other fantasies are willing to do. Reading through the pages is enough to tell you that the author loves the world they built, they have so much to say and so many things to share. Instead of the Fantasy being used to serve the characters, here we have the characters feeling like they're here to serve the world.
We also see all the characters serve a different aspect in exploring the world
Laios is here to tell us everything we need to know about the monsters. Marcille Teaches us the magic system. Chilchuck explores the sociopolitical side of the world as well as the "rules" and culture around adventuring. Of course, Senshi is here to tell us all about how to cook good food.
They all work together to teach us more about the world so every episode, we always come out with something new. It's SO FUCKING GOOD!
Anyway, rant over. Dungoen Meshi peak, you should go watch it if you haven't already.
Ah- one more thing, seems like Frieren's usage of its magic system or world building(?) is more on the soft side of the spectrum while Dungeon Meshi goes HARD on it.

Hey, I downloaded the xManager from the official website yesterday and now I have two questions about the xManager:
Is the xManager safe and not a scam?
I read through the subreddits here yesterday and came across a few posts where users complained about the xManager. They received an email from Spotify saying that they had been banned for violating Spotify's general terms of use. Other posts claimed that the Spotify account linked to xManager had been logged in and used to listen to music. Is that true, or were the people who created the posts just talking rubbish, or didn't protect their Spotify account with a secure email account or did some other rubbish?
Why do you download the modified Spotify version via Mediafire?
When I downloaded the modified Spotify app from the Mediafire website yesterday, I noticed a few annoying things. When I activated the Turbo downloader via the website, which was under the download button, and downloaded Spotify, Spotify was not downloaded. Instead, 41 documents were downloaded. Some strange folders, .txt documents and other unassignable documents. When I then looked at the search results of my browser, there was some strange Loki Casino website next to the Mediafire website that I definitely did not open. Then I deleted all 41 strange documents and tried again without the Turbo download. Strangely enough, the correct modified Spotify app was then downloaded. Nevertheless, there was another crappy casino website in my search history (it was not this Loki Casino). Downloading via Mediafire seems a bit unsafe to me. I heard that with Android 13 and lower you can also download the modified Spotify version via the xManager and do not have to open the Mediafire website separately. Why was this removed with Android 14? And would it be possible for the function to be made available on Android 14 as well? I find it more practical and feel safer. For example, I use the Revanced Manager from the website revanced.net to be able to use YouTube ad-free. You don't have to download the modified apps via Mediafire or any other website, you can download the appropriate versions of the apps in the app. I would like it if this were also possible with the xManager with Android 14.

This post goes into detail about my personal experience playing MoP Remix as well as why I think it’s an enormous step in the right direction.
I’ve been playing WoW since 2005, mostly as a PvP player and mostly solo. I don’t enjoy being in a guild or doing organized PvP or PvE content, simply because I don’t like the commitment. I play video games to escape and have fun. The moment I have to “answer” to someone (teammate, guildmate, etc.) it stops being fun and starts being a job.
I have, and have usually had, a lot of free time on my hands. Over the years, I put in countless hours in WoW. That being said, my skill level is average at best. I have about 20 keybinds and I have DBM installed. I’ve never used a weak aura. The best I’ve ever parsed is probably blue, and that was in Phase 1 of Classic WotLK. Up until MoP Remix, the highest difficulty I’ve raided is Normal and it wasn’t a regular occurrence for me. Most seasons I would just stop at LFR. I don’t intend to get any better at the game than this.
Initially when starting my char in MoP Remix, an Arms Warrior, I was quite skeptical of what I could hope to achieve given my past raiding experience (or lackthereof). I took it slow at first, didn’t even start when the event itself started, completely missed out on the frogs and got to 70 around the end of week 1. I got a bit curious about the cosmetics, saw the Mannoroth shoulders, saw the bones only drop from Normal and above and thought, sigh, not for me.
My previous experience with pugs was mixed. I fairly enjoyed pugging Phase 1 of Classic, skipped TBC entirely then also enjoyed Phase 1 of Classic WotLK. The barrier to entry was small to non-existant. In Classic WotLK you needed an initial GearScore that was easy enough to obtain, and in Classic I can’t recall needing anything specific. Note this is Phase 1 in both cases. Sometimes the groups would require Discord, but only for listening not speaking.
The only other time I pugged was in Legion, patch 7.2. This was a significantly worse experience for me. Between Normal mode groups asking me to “link acheiv” and getting into a group for Tomb of Sargeras only to wipe at the second boss and people already saying “kick all low dps” I didn’t really feel like this is an environment I wanna be in for long. I didn’t even get to Raider.io and parsing, I already stopped playing anything above LFR before that.
Back to MoP Remix, I thought “OK, if it’s gonna be like early Classic, cool, if it’s gonna be like Legion, nevermind”. So I signed up for a Mogu’shan Vaults pug. To my surprise, no one yelled at me or at other people throughout the raid, no one linked Discord at the beginning, and we actually finished the raid. I quickly realized that the only real requirement for raids in MoP Remix is ilvl. You technically don't even need to raid to improve your ilvl. You only need a time investment, and time is what I have in abundance.
So then I did more pugs and started to invest bronze into upgrading my gear. A few days later I finished all the normal raids and got my amulet. Then I started to farm open world mobs every day besides doing all the raids I could.
Today I reached ilvl 476, every piece upgraded to 556, and got the Mythic SoO achievement + 28 bones in total from Garrosh.
Given the relatively low difficulty of the content and the ease of gearing, I know this isn’t much, but for me who didn’t think I’d even get one bone, that’s quite a lot.
Now you may be asking yourself what is the point of all this. The point for me is when WoW says all I gotta do to get the best gear and do all the content is to put in the time — not become a highly skilled player or commit to a guild or get a high Raider.io score or whatever else — just play more, that to me sounds like a good deal. It sounds like a game I actually want to play and finish.
It means I can treat the game the same way as I treat something like Path of Exile. I don’t have to be an amazing player in PoE to get Mageblood and do all the ubers every league. I just need to devote my time to it.
Speaking of time, my total /played in MoP Remix so far is about 90 hours. I only play one char.
