Going on a Disney cruise and I know I'm going to miss my morning espresso. I'm looking for recommendations that'll get me by in the morning without completely grossing me out.
Not a morning person by any means so this would be before we even leave the room in the morning just to give me that initial caffeine boost.

I've always liked the girls who were more like one of the guys, bonus points if you're down to learn any of the games I play whether they be card or video based.If you are willing to laugh at my ridiculous jokes, willing to watch YouTube videos for a date, like to sing Disney songs while cruising down the highway, I'm probably your guy. Dinner is always great, everybody loves food, but after that, let's not go sit in a movie where we can't talk, let's go to the lake and go for a swim. How bout we load up some gear and go paintballing. Lets put on the heels and tie for dinner, but let's get down and dirty for some evening fun.

Hello! I have my 0.25 in hand, but I’m worried about when to start. I have vacations planned:

• Disney June 9th
• Cruise July 1
• Tahiti August 5

I’m worried about getting really sick on these trips and not enjoying them. Would you recommend just starting or waiting until August to do it? I’m really excited but scared to do so given these awesome events I have coming up.

We had planned a trip to Universal Studios for my son's birthday in November, but later found out I will be 20+weeks pregnant when we would travel. So that takes Disney and Universal/other theme parks off the list. I want something memorable/unique, here are things I considered:
Scenic Amtrak trip, but we would have to book 2 rooms to accommodate 5 of us
Polar express train ride, but again, those all seat 4 and one of us would be seated with another party
Cruising is also out as I'll be past the # of weeks that's allowed.
We will have already done great wolf lodge for another child's birthday this year.
Looking for ideas in FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, TN, but would go like one state bordering any of those if it was a really cool spot. It wouldn't have to be one specific destination, if there were lots of fun things within an hours drive. I'd love a unique place to stay, we've done a train car Air BnB and a covered wagon before.

I'm planning a trip for twin 3 year olds and 2 adults to the UK in September. We're doing a Disney Cruise out of Southhampton, but staying in London (Kensington) for a few days before the cruise and one night after. A few questions:

• Any recommendations of things to do with three year-olds in London?
• We have one night after the cruise before we fly home, is there anywhere neat to stay outside of London around Heathrow that would walkable and fun to check out? Or should we book one more night in London?
• Do we need car seats for the kids? Can we get by largely on the tube and public transport without having to lug car seats around?
• Are there any excursions / tours / things to explore for Southhampton, Greenock / Glasgow, Liverpool, Cork, or Portland that little kids would enjoy?

I'm looking for advice on how to approach a cruise with people who have different wants/goals for the cruise. The cruise would be two families of four people each (four adults/parents, four 'kids' ages: 18, 16, 15, 14). We have vacationed together numerous times over the years so there is no issue with the overall concept however for a cruise we have different ideas of what is ideal. The idea for this trip was so we could all get together one last time before kids, specifically the oldest, went to college and it becomes more complicated to get us all together.
Three of the parents (my wife & the other couple) are more laid back, relax by the pool, read books, chill out with a drink type and they are thinking Celebrity Cruise (Edge class). Myself and the kids (especially three youngest) are higher energy, adventurous, and get bored easy. For instance, my family took a Disney cruise a few years ago and I got bored on the day at sea. I was thinking a RC cruise on a Quantum or Icon class where there seems to be a lot to do on the ship.
We have no allegiance to any brand/company. While we probably aren't going to get any type of suite, the cost of a cruise is not an issue for either family. We know we want to do a typical 6-8 day cruise out of Florida in ~June, 2025; not Alaska or the Med (at least this time).
What are your thoughts on how to come to the best compromise?

My wife and I will be coming down, going to Epcot, spending the night at a TBD Disney resort, then leaving for a cruise the following day (but would be having breakfast and spend a bit of time relaxing at the resort the next morning). Which resort would you pick?

I've been on a Halloween cruise before. I was super impressed with the theming and the pumpkin tree transformations. I also loved seeing the characters in their Halloween outfits and the added activities like ghost stories. Does Disney do the same kind of thing for their Christmas theme cruises or is it just Xmas themed decor? I don't plan on being there on the 25th of December.

Sandals Resorts’ newest property, Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is celebrating its opening by offering air and resort credits.

If they actually do the Disney World trip like suggested, I want to give some quick advice on here. This is more because I like ranting about stuff like this so it's more of an info-dump if anything, and even if they don't read it, I hope this can help any other people on this sub for recommendations.
First off depends on how many days they go for and I know Adum likes cramming in as much as possible, but I do recommend trying to send at least a full day in the Magic Kingdom (depending on what they want to do of course, it's the park with the most stuff), Animal Kingdom if done efficiently can been done in around a little more than a half day, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios will take longer than Animal Kingdom (however Hollywood Studios is the busiest park so keep that in mind).
Some recommendations for attractions is Magic Kingdom you should do the best classics (Pirates and Haunted), Space Mountain and Big Thunder, the newly opened TRON and Tiana (when that opens next month). There's other classic attractions (e.g. Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, It's a Small World) which can be up to personal interest,seeing their take on the Tiki Room would also be interesting.
EPCOT I recommend Guardians since it's the newest attraction, Spaceship Earth is a classic, I feel like suggesting Living with the Land since it's not that popular and it's pretty neat with it's planet collection (especially given Alex's recent confirmed green fingers). Soarin' is cool and with Test Tracks upcoming update it could be a big attraction if it's back open. There are more stuff in this park as well.
Hollywood Studios has Tower of Terror which is amazing, I know Adum didn't care for Rise of the Resistance but I think Alex would appreciate it. Rock n Roller Coaster is probably the most thrilling ride there so it's interesting in that regard, Mickey & Minnie is a new enough track rides and Toy Story Mania is good if you are with some good competition. Fantasmic the night time show here is impressive. Slinky and Smugglers Run are other big enough attractions, and there are more stuff in the park.
Animal Kingdom's main attractions are Flight of Passage, Everest and the Safaris (which is worth doing). It had the Lion King show, live animals and even more attractions along with the Pandora Land.
Besides these recs and what you find interesting from the outside, I do recommend at least looking up all the rides and shows (even in a brief format) before going, don't just go solely off me.
One final recommendation and that is The Imagineering Story which is inherently biased (especially given more modern attractions) but does give you the history of a chunk of the attractions in the parks which does add to the experience and is only six episodes on Disney+.
Edit: Forgot to mention the two water parks as well as Disney Springs, which is actually quite cool and it's a huge shopping and dining district so if you have any time I do recommend it.

My husband and I considering a 3 night cruise on the Celebrity Reflection on August to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. We will be bringing our 13 and 11 year old daughters as well. We have only cruised on Disney, so we are wondering how different this cruise will be. We’re especially interested in Coco Cay!
It’s a short, weekend cruise, but will it be a booze-cruise atmosphere? Are families able to do activities like trivia and karaoke together?
Any advice about short Celebrity cruises would be appreciated!

I have just returned home from my WONDERFUL DVC members cruise of the Mediterranean!! As usual, Disney did a wonderful job- and when they fell short (one very poorly organized port excursion) they credited a portion of the excursion fee back to my account to compensate. The thing I love and appreciate most about traveling with Disney Vacation Club is that you can count on DVC for exceptional quality and protection from fraud or dangerous hotels/tour companies etc. So it boggles my mind that Disney Cruise Line continues to do business with “Diamonds International” on their cruise ships. (Wish I would have done my research and not just trusted them because Disney allows them to sell their goods on their ships).
After making my own board purchase, I never received the promised gemstone documentation, so the day I got home I did a deep dive, and I am flabbergasted! They have multiple lawsuits against them for fraud, overpricing, manipulative sales practices and so on. Turns out my so called “heirloom” piece was just highly overpriced costume jewelry. In quality stores online, I found comparable size, cut and color tanzanites set in platinum for several thousands less than what turned out to be a janky sterling silver setting. I requested a refund (as my receipt says 30 days, which I am well within) and was told I could not have a refund but an exchange for something more expensive only. I will be contacting a lawyer to handle this situation with DI and get my money back. In the meantime I want to warn all Disney Cruisers NOT to spend a single dime in the jewelry stores on board the Disney ships run by Diamond International. They are frauds and charlatans, and most certainly not up to the standards we all have come to expect from Disney. Every word out of their mouth is a lie!!! Don’t fall for it!

I'm going on the Mediterranean cruise and was wondering if hair straighteners were allowed? I use a hair straightener often but idk if I'm able to bring it. I read the rules for what can and cannot be brought on the ship but it was unclear and I'd rather know before than find out in Rome.

Apologies if this has been discussed before. I went onto the DCL website and although Bermuda is listed as a destination and NY as a port, it's not listed in any upcoming cruises. Did Disney stop going to Bermuda or is it just delayed in showing future sailings there?

Hi friends! My husband has a work conference next week in Melbourne FL and I am tagging along. I just realized it’s only an hour and 15 minute drive to WDW so since he will be busy conferencing during the day and networking at night I’m seriously considering going to MK by myself.
I’ll be driving so first question is where is the best place to park? I don’t really care how I get to MK from where I park (monorail vs ferry or whatever other options there are).
Second question is would it be better to go on a Tuesday or Wednesday as I could do either.
Third, any food suggestions?
Lastly, i did the whole 4 park Disney experience last October with my in-laws (10 people total) for my 50th but we went to MK on a party day so it closed early.
My in-laws live in Los Angeles so they go to Disneyland a few times a year so I was lucky I got to go to MK at all. Anyway, a lot of the day was eaten up by Tron so that coupled with an early close, we missed some stuff that I wanted to go on. I plan on getting there when the park opens so wondering where I should head to first?
The rides I missed were Peter Pan, Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise and the Teacups.
Also, any other suggestions for a solo visitor are welcome!
