So NBs are real now in WA so went down to the GP to get some of those hormones people are talking about. I am genuinely shocked that she apparently had not even considered how to deal with a trans. Even more so when the endo hung up on me when I tried to book the appointment. Have booked in with a private GP on the trans friendly resource list now, here's to spending the money for actual care I hope.

2024.05.17 07:21 sandyeggo89 Places like Coin Op, Punch Bowl Social for events?
My financé and I are thinking of having a 50p wedding reception somewhere with games instead of a traditional dinnedance. Bowling would be great because both our families love it, but we’re open to other kinds of similar venues. We want to stick to SD county. Hopefully a place that caters for parties too. My office has had Christmas parties at Coin Op, Punch Bowl Social and Tavern + Bowl, and though I like those places I want to check out venues that I haven’t been to for work, you know? They’re not off the list yet, just trying to figure out what else is out there.
And if you’ve done an event at such a place and are ok sharing what it cost, I’d be grateful. My office party at Tavern + Bowl was $5800 with food and drinks (beer, wine and well liquor) so that’s about the budget we’re shooting for.

2024.05.17 07:14 John-The-Bomb-2 The far left and left-wing activists [See description]
I want to take a moment to talk about the far left, like AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) and Bernie, who I just saw in the interview:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qE5BWFRETdk In the interview, about two thirds of the way in, AOC talked about how she got hardly any pay from her employer working as a bartender and Bernie talks about his memories of childhood poverty and stress from poverty. Elizabeth Warren, another such Democrat, also talked on her campaign about the effect of financial stress on her and her family as a child.
These people are not poor, and they haven't been poor for a long, long time. Before being a politician, AOC was working as a bartender in New York City. Manhattan bartenders make like $100,000 a year in cash, almost no taxes. Also AOC was good looking with good people skills so she probably made more than that. That is not poverty. She also talked about how she had "no healthcare" because she didn't have health insurance. There are people in rural areas who have to drive like an hour to get to a grocery store and even further than that to get to a doctor or hospital. Now that is "no healthcare". You know these people have it bad because such rural men don't go to a doctor unless something is really, really bad.
I feel like the far left (like me in the past) lives with this victim mentality. There's this mentality of "Oh, I'm the victim of racism" or "I'm the victim of patriarchal sexism" or "I'm the victim of homophobia" or whatever. I'm sorry, but could you please shut up? There are counties where people literally get stoned to death. You live in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Is financial inequality large? Yes. But this is not a problem specific to this country. India has computer programmers working for big tech software companies basically living in gated palaces a few miles away from slums. This is even worse than in most of the USA. There are other counties with higher Gini coefficients (income inequality measurements, see
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_income_equality ) than the USA. This is not Africa. Be thankful.
Also, atheism. Atheists will have Christian family members, grow up in a Christian place, and be like "I'm not a Christian, I prayed to Satan and didn't get hit by a lightning bolt so your God isn't real, ha ha ha, I reject your beliefs as superstition, I am very smart, I believe in science".
Uhh... What do you say when you stub your toe? "Oh science, science damn it?" What do you say when you feel relief? "Thank science?" Why is it when you develop schizophrenia you have the delusional belief that you are the second coming of Jesus and not the second coming reincarnation of the prophet Mohammed? Shut up, you're a Christian, you're just an asshole. I swear, I once went to an atheists club and they were all like "We are so smart, everyone else is wrong and stupid, blah blah blah". I am sorry, but this is not a fun social group to be with, you people basically get high off of naval gazing and smelling your own farts. And then they approach death and become agnostic (atheists become agnostic with age). I think I read somewhere that super believing Catholics become less certain when they're old too.
This is a side note, but I once knew two male identical twins who looked identical, but one was a devout priest and the other was a devout atheist (note I didn't know the priest one personally). They had identical DNA and they were both very certain of their beliefs and neither of them were fun. The atheist one started a club for people who left religion and wanted to talk about their religious trauma and how the lies of their religion traumatized them. When I came to this "atheists club" listed on the Meetup website, I thought we were just going to socialize, maybe eat some pizza and go bowling, not cry about how the Mormon prophet Joseph Smith made up the gold plates with a third book of the Bible written on them that he found under the dirt in his backyard that he couldn't show anyone else. Like yeah, no shit he made shit up and/or pretended (see
https://www.instagram.com/p/C6oSeVdrkU2/ , I got the second image of Jesus on the cross with a donkey head from Googling "earliest depictions of Jesus" ). Oh, and I am literally the second coming of Jesus because my name and my father's name is the same and my mom has an investment account called "Virgin" and I channel The Holy Spirit, bipolar disorder. Right...
If some people with penises can identify as women, I can identify as GOD.

2024.05.17 06:29 DiamondFew3267 Denied for a job.
Hello guys! So today I was going to applied for an open spot for my local county as a detention officer. I call HR and they told me it was only meant for U.S Citizens after I told them I had a work permit that allowed me to work legally. I’m baffled by this because I work for the state in corrections for 4 years. County jailer and CO in prisons basically is almost the same supervising inmates and obviously you can’t use weapons. Anyone in here that knows immigration law and our rights because I feel HR could be wrong but I’m not 100% sure about this. Their requirements for the job never pointed for u.s citizens only. I’m in south Texas.

2024.05.17 05:46 therazz Survivor 50 Realistic Cast Prediction
I’m sure I’m the 1000th person to do this, but I wanted to actually work out my best guess as to what the Season 50 cast could be if they casted today.
I have a gut feeling we’re not seeing anyone prior to the 30s, with a heavy emphasis on the new era. I could be completely wrong, but there’s so many people yet to get a second chance that I feel they will want to celebrate the last 15ish seasons. Plus, so many of the all-timers just played in WaW.
I’m also accounting for a 50% BIPOC cast, which absolutely will and should still be the rule even when casting an All-Star season. I started with a list of about 120 and even narrowing it down to half that felt impossible, much less only choosing 20. There’s going to be some truly great players that don’t get a call. And, of course this isn’t even accounting for 47, 48 and maybe even 49. They might need to do a second all-star season back to back with this.
Anyways, here’s what I got. As a reminder this is a prediction, not who I would like to see, which is much different lol. Also I’m taking two tribes of 10 to allow for 20 total players. Which is more fun anyway.

2024.05.17 05:24 RED-HAlRED-SHANKS Phases of a detention officer
Hello, I will be speaking about all the test phases I went through to become a detention officer for future people who are applying as a detention officers.
I submitted my application on 3/11/2024 and I applied for HCSO (Harris County Sherriff Office)
Physical Agility- I went for the physical agility test on 03/20/2024 and what we did during the test was squats with hands straight forward, another thing we did was doing squats on motion but while putting one knee to the ground and bending it and the last thing we did was being able to lift a dummy which weighted i think 30 or 60 kg to the other side of the hallway and bringing it back. The exercises were very easy and everyone passed it that was there with me.
Background phase- This phase took the longest, they began my background phase on 03/20/2024 and ended on 05/06/2024. I had two background different investigators assigned to me, they transferred my investigation to another BI during about the 2nd week of being in contact with my first one. On 04/17/2024 I received a call from my BI and we scheduled a in person interview. I dressed normally as I was told to do so. While being there I was asked mainly 1 question and I think it was "why do I want this job" and "do I see this as a long term". I was asked questions about if I had ever done drugs and why I was fired from my old job and just some basic questions they always ask. After these questions I was given a form which was the "polygraph" It was a paper asking questions about all types of stuff. They didn't use a lie detector on me, I just did the paper and they believed in my answers. After the interview my BI said to email them if there isn't any updates on my case and exactly two weeks later I emailed her and she submitted my files and I moved on the the next phase and filled a form to accept the job offer.
Medical phase- This was the last phase, it began on 05/06/2024 and was the quickest phase and finished in about two days. I went to a mental doctor and did physical evaluation test, I had to do two assessments and had a final interview with him. He asked me basic questions about myself and then went on asking me questions about situations in a jail and a question I remember he asked was "What would you do if inmates or people in the jail call your racial things and I to summarize it I said I will ignore it and use brain instead of fist. I passed this test and did drug test same day which I had to pee in something and after submitting the stuff to the people, I got accepted two days later and had my orientation on 05/14/2024 and will began the academy training very soon in two days.
Thank you for your time and I hope this will help future officers who will need help with questions!

2024.05.17 04:05 qkonor [QCrit] WITCHES WERE BORN TO SCREAM, Speculative Horror, Adult, (73k, First attempt)
Hi everyone, Thanks so much for any comments and edits! I've been in these trenches a minute so don't hold back! <3 you. (The first 300 words are below the query).
Philomena Collins is weak, just like her mother wanted.
Philomena, a 17-year-old heiress from a historically powerful witch family, was cursed by her mother, Kate, eight years ago. Since then, Kate has been held in St. Wendy’s–a derelict witch prison.
The curse inflicts pain on Philomena as well as anyone who tries to touch her, and she has had enough. Enough of hiding, enough of turning down dates, enough of keeping a safe distance from her family and friends. Now, with Kate scheduled for execution, and armed with the confidence that comes from a life of intense privilege, Philomena is determined to force Kate to remove the curse…even if she’s too afraid to go alone and drags along her best friend, Esther.
During their visit Kate breaks the curse and escapes, forcing the facility into lockdown. This leaves Philomena and Esther trapped, completely cut off from the outside world and surrounded by inmates who have no love lost for the poor little rich girls. Now able to be touched (attacked, killed!), Philomena is terrified.
And the longer she’s trapped, the more she realizes something is amiss at St. Wendy’s. Somehow, the prisoners are using magic: violent and unwieldy spells that are transforming the prison and its inhabitants into hellish perversions of their former selves; including Esther.
To survive the nightmare and save her best friend (or is their relationship something more?), Philomena will have to rely on her wits and the painful truths she uncovers at St. Wendy’s. She’ll have to reach out and touch the big bad world. Philomena will have to be strong.
Good thing she has no problem disappointing her mother.
Witches Were Born to Scream is an adult speculative horror complete at 73,000 words. Her Majesty’s Royal Coven meets Silent Hill in this book that will appeal to fans of The September House by Carissa Orlando, Nettle and Bone by T. Kingfisher, and the film Jennifer’s Body.
Chapter One
August 21, 1977
Philomena arched an eyebrow and let the guard reach for her, a familiar buzzing rising against her skin as his hand came close to her shoulder. He was doubled over on his knees a moment later. Philly rubbed her arm, trying to dissipate the painful tingling. He hadn’t managed to touch her, of course. But the warning system, the stinging death rattle that came with, still managed to inflict its injunction. A ninety-sixth thesis nailed to Philly’s soul.
“Are you feeling alright?” Philly knit her eyebrows together, a concerned face she’d perfected over the years to throw off their scent. “Is he prone to fits like this?” she said to the other guard. “Makes me worry about those left in your care.” The guard glowered, slapping at the dust that now coated the knees of his black slacks, and waved her and Esther through.
And so, Philly Collins, seventeen-year-old heiress to the Collins Media empire, youngest daughter of what used to be one of the most powerful witch families this side of the Atlantic, added another tally to the scorecard in her mind. An infinite list of quiet wars she was determined to start, finish and win. The list’s length was matched in number only by the amount of chips she carried on her shoulder. But today–today she was going to knock off the very largest.
They’d only gotten off the ferry twenty minutes ago and Philly could already feel nervous sweat running down the back of her neck. The island, discarded off the southeastern coast of Noctem City, housed only one building. A sprawling complex with as knotted and twisted a history as the brambles that grew on its walls. St. Wendy’s Rehab Hospital, née St. Wendy’s Lunatic Asylum. And before that Mother Wendy’s School for the Invited. Or is that the wrong order? I know I’m missing one…thought Philly.

2024.05.17 03:43 Supercoolman555 SAPX 100%+ OS Shorted. 23+ Million Dollar Revenue Deals. Lionsgate Merger + Uplist Developments
SAPX - Seven Arts Entertainment - is an OTC company in the Film and Music Industry. Based on extensive DD, I have determined that this stock is positioned for extreme growth and a potential short squeeze. The reasons are, merger developments, joint deals with major studios including Lionsgate, 23 million dollars in revenue deals, and an extremely high short interest on the stock. Its current market cap is 1.6 million.
Firstly,
I have calculated over the last 4 years of trading that nearly 100% of the entire outstanding shares have been shorted and have not been covered. Over 68% of all trading days over the last 4 years have been over 50% short volume and nearly 17% of trading days have been over 80% short volume. I arrived at this conclusion using FINRA Short Volume Data to calculate the MINIMUM number of short positions not covered since 12/18/2020. I have concluded that a minimum number of 2.162 billion shares are currently shorted and have not been covered (assume a 1-3 % margin of error) since December 2020. The current float is 2.026 billion shares and the OS is at 2.188 billion shares.
Keep in mind that the number of 2.162 billion is the MINIMUM number of short positions that must exist. That number assumes short sellers covered 100% of non-short-volume over the last 4 years. In my estimations, the true number is well above 2 billion, possibly 3+ billion current uncovered naked shorts.
Here is a link to photos of the spreadsheet data (Only includes notable months):

https://www.finra.org/finra-data/browse-catalog/short-sale-volume-data/daily-short-sale-volume-files ~ DD: SAPX Immediate Multi-Million Revenue Deal Involving Lionsgate and Third-Parties ~ Recently SAPX issued an 8k stating they entered into an ammend output agreement over 2 of Seven Arts Entertainment's filmed assets until 2034 with STARZ.

Seven Arts is currently negotiating with a major studio involving a merger which is likely Lionsgate Studios. Lionsgate recently has spun-off a separate ticker LION from their parent company as a "pure play content company". Seven Arts has stated that they were delayed in releasing additional updates regarding the merger or further developments with Lionsgate until it had spun-off LION.
The LION spinoff was completed on May 15th and Seven Arts has announced that they will begin updates after the quarterly financials are out. Most likely the merger is connected and delayed because of the auditing firm and the spin-off regarding Lionsgate Studios. Seven Arts would only be conducting an audit if the negotiations regarding a merger were serious in nature as it is lengthy and costly. A merger with a major studio like Lionsgate has serious positive implications regarding the future of this company and its share price.

IMO, Not financial advice, this is an exceedingly undervalued company.
Their revenue deals, in excess of 23 million, is 15x the current market cap of the company. Over 100% of the OS has been shorted and has not been covered. Ask sizes have been extremely thin over the past couple of weeks and there has been massive (50 million+) bid support. With some small buys, this thing could move very quickly, especially when a joint PR with Lionsgate and Seven Arts is announced.

2024.05.17 03:41 Supercoolman555 SAPX 100%+ OS Shorted.
