I am looking at getting a 2010 5.7 Tundra. Currently, I have a 32’ camper - weight is circled in the picture. Anyone pulled a camper around this weight and had any problems?Thoughts otherwise?

and now I have a whole new list of things to figure out and fix...
So....I was searching for an F250 CC, LB, gasser..first just one in a 500-mi radius that didn't work out, then another one showed up but the dealer wasn't great at getting back to me and didn't return my last call.... When I was searching the VIN of that truck I found it was from a recent auction, and showed auction photos that had a decal from the company that owned the truck.
Anyway, when the search for a F-250 was getting nowhere quickly, I thought why not expand to F-350s as well? Other than some trucks over 500 mi away from Alberta, there was one truck in Denver. It was so new they didn't have pix up yet but I searched the VIN, and guess what, from the same company that traded in the F250 that went to auction. This F350 must have gotten traded in together and auctioned off together but to two different dealers.
Having seen the auction pictures and the price, I asked the sales guy if I could make a deposit and they said they didn't take deposits, but I was first in line, but needed to get them full price. I won't go further into the drama that ensued, but I ended up buying the truck.
I was mainly looking at XLTs and that is what this is...F-350, crew cab, long box, 6.2L with a 4.3 locker. That is one difference vs the 250s, they were all 3.7 axles.
Most of the trucks were configured pretty much all the same. XLT with the 603 typical stuff package, and maybe an extra or two, and that was it. This truck however was optioned off pretty extensively compared to anything I had previously seen.
I am the worse at backing up, and to find this one had 360 cameras, cowabunga...basically this stuff:
Goosenect kit, XLT value package, FX4 package, chrome step bar, 11500#, 110V, 5th whl hitch prep, BLIS, wheel well liners, led box lights, upfitter switches, extra, extra HD alt, backup alarm (not there/disabled?), remote start (haven't tested), tough bed liner, ultimate trailer tow camera, cloth 40/console/40 seat, SYNC3, running lights
The cameras aren't crystal clear and found on the Carfax there are recalls on them.

Last Friday's post got more attention than any to date.

I get it. These are super long. Trust me, I know. I'm writing them. But readers are overwhelmingly requesting MORE details - not less.

Investigation Updates
Repossession Company #1 & #2 Corporate Records
The first corporate records have started arriving.
An initial review of the documents we've received shows similar officers, signatures, and stock amounts between the two companies.
We are waiting for a few more documents to arrive to confirm unequivocally, but currently, it sure does appear that the owner of Repossession Company #2 has lied through his teeth.
Other related Autobody / Repair / Towing / Repossession Companies
We've been reviewing several other companies that appear to be in the "orbit" of Repossession Company #1 and Repossession Company #2.
So far we have another five companies that we are requesting records on. Some are active and some are not.
But they all appear to have horrible reputations and strong connections with Ropession Company #1 and Repossession Company #2.
Shared addresses, shared phone numbers, similar email addresses, postings on public forums, lawsuits, etc.
Several are autobody and repair shops, and the remaining are towing / repossession companies.
NOTE: We will be posting copies of all these corporate documents on the website.
NYPD Bodycamera Requests
We're requesting the NYPD Body Camera footage from the 12-23-2023 incident at the "Corporate Address" for "Repossession Company #1 (Perpetrators Truck Company).
This was the incident where "Repossession Company #2's Owner" showed up after claiming to have no connection to "Repossession Company #1."
"Repossession Company #2's Owner" and his son made extremely serious false allegations, on camera, against me.
We already have a large amount of footage from this incident on my body camera.
But getting their footage, and conducting a proper review of it, will let us decide how to proceed on that front.

NYPD Updates
4th Incident
On Wednesday, I was approached by another officer from the 78th Precinct while initially seated and stopped in my vehicle near Whole Foods. I was in a legal parking space. With the vehicle off.
I was just about to exit my vehicle when he approached. He claimed that he was making contact due to my tail light being out.
As I had already begun to exit my vehicle, I asked him if I could turn said vehicle back on, and he could show me where it was out.
I then politely informed him he was being audio and video recorded by my body camera.
At that point, the officer said he must have made a mistake and began to walk off.
With his back turned, I asked for his business card, but he kept walking up into the Whole Foods Parking Lot. I don't know if he was on foot patrol or what, but I didn't see a cruiser in the immediate vicinity. Certainly possible it was in the lot.
I hadn't had contact with this officer before. But what stood out was that he was claiming my tail light was out - with my vehicle off. Of course it was out. The vehicle was off, my lights were in the off position and my foot was not on the brake pedal.
The vehicle had been off for over 5 minutes.
I can't say one way or another why he chose me for contact. Perhaps it was yet another coincidence with the NYPD.
Either way, that makes 4 encounters in three weeks.
NOTE: My body camera was on during the stop, but it didn't catch much usable footage due to my positioning, and the wind/rain from the storm ruining most audio.

Employment Updates
I have been cleared to return to work since this Monday, 01-08-2024.
To date, I have not received any responses from my Fortune 500 employer on my current employment status.
I have not been scheduled, permitted, or offered the opportunity to work.
To add a bit of insult, it also turns out that they:
- Appear to have underpaid my last 5 paycards by a factor of 10-25% each week.
- Did not pay me for any of the hours during or after my assault. Not for the time I was in the ambulance, with the police, or while I sat waiting for relief to arrive to take my load of packages.
- Its not confirmed yet, but they also appear not to have paid me any of my ESSTA / PTO that I requested be used to cover my lack of earnings while injured.
I think it's safe to say I've been effectively let go/laid off.
If anyone has any job leads, I'd love a heads up :).

Neighborhood Updates
As part of my efforts to give back to the community, we started exploring some wider community issues. At the moment, we further focused our attention on a very important matter.
M.S. 51 William Alexander
My assault and robbery happened within range of the M.S. 51's new camera systems.
Imagine my surprise, however, when I found out that they didn't catch anything on camera.
Whoever installed the school's cameras never bothered to remove the plastic film that covers the lenses.
The plastic film was likely there to protect the lens during installation and should have been removed once they were installed. This peeling, crusty film is apparently distorting the images and drastically reducing the camera system's usability.
The entire point of the system upgrade was to help deter crime, protect the community, and provide a crime-solving tool in the event students were victimized on the school grounds or surrounding city recreation/parkland.
After the camera problem was discovered, I was assured it would be corrected immediately. Yet three weeks later, the film still covers the lens on most of the cameras attached to the school.
We've added the NYC Department of Education to our FOIL / FOIA list, and intend to find out who installed the cameras / is responsible for maintaining them. It is likely a contractor for the city.
In the meantime, I highly recommend that anyone with children attending this school bring the matter up to the school administration.
My assault should have been a wake-up for them. Let's not let someone else suffer the same problem going forward, and push for it to be resolved immediately.

With the new funds, we're going to start requesting NYPD records and body camera footage related to my assault/robbery.
We're also going to file for FOIA/FOIL documents from the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP), the New York Police Department (NYPD) and the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY).
The DCWP is responsible for regulating and licensing the tow companies within NYC. In theory, they should have documents related to the company that my assaulter was working for, documents related to the licensing of the owner of said company, and they should also have issued an actual tow license/endorsement to the operator who assaulted me.
NYPD and DSNY are responsible for towing derelict vehicles in NYC. They use their own trucks and a fleet of private contractors. In theory, they may also have documents related to my attacker's company.
Based on some of the researcher's prior experiences, we expect these agencies are going to push back on our document requests. At the very least, they are going to charge for the labor and production of said documents.
Sometimes they quote a reasonable fee and sometimes they don't. But we won't know until we file and get our first responses.
As such, we've raised our goal to $7,500.00 to ensure we have enough to cover any reasonable fees/costs, as well as to push back against any agency that doesn't want to produce said documents in a timely or reasonable manner.

[12-18-2023] I was assaulted and robbed in Park Slope
While delivering holiday packages, I was assaulted and robbed in Park Slope Brooklyn.
I suffered a concussion, broken glasses, a stolen phone, and missing packages.
My assailant was a known neighborhood hothead. He regularly threatens people on 5th Street. It sounds like he's attacked other people in the neighborhood. He had threatened other drivers on this route before and threatened drivers from other national carriers. The street is terrified of him.
I was assaulted and robbed where the NYPD cruisers were standing.

[12-18-2023] The First Image
NYPD showed up, took a report, and was more than happy to slink away without doing any work. They didn't take any witness statements/information, check cameras, or even pick up the left-behind personal items the perpetrator had dropped.
They didn't even seem to believe there was a perpetratotruck. They made it clear it was not important to them.
I was so furious with them that I walked the block and checked with everyone who had a camera. Most didn’t catch the truck, didn’t have batteries or the owner didn’t want to “get involved.”
One business managed to catch his truck. But we couldn't read the plate or decals.

[12-18-2023] Appeal to Reddit
On a whim, I decided to post on Reddit about the situation. The Reddit community was able to pool knowledge from the neighborhood, giving us an idea of where to search for the truck.

[12-19-2023] We Found The Perpetrator's Company Truck
With the help of Reddit, a truck from the company was found on or around 12/19/2023 around 6 PM.
The truck appears, on the surface at least, to be the same truck used by the perpetrator to flee the scene on 12/18/2023.

[12-19-2023] We Found The Perpetrator
Shortly after finding the truck, I found the Perpetrator himself. The guy made no effort to hide and returned to the scene of my attack less than 48 hours later.
NOTE: I have a photo of him, but posting his photo would appear to violate the Reddit and subreddit doxxing rules. A website is being built where I can post more information without violating these rules.
[12-19-2023 to 12-21-2023] NYPD "Activities"
At the time of my original post, I had zero information about the tow business, the truck, the guy, or almost anything.
NYPD claimed they knew nothing, had no suspect identified, and did not expect it to be "solved."
It was made clear this was not a priority.
It was only after the original post blew up, that we found the truck. Then I found the actual perp.
Only then did NYPD start claiming they knew him and were coordinating a turn-in on Thursday 12/21/2023.
Later in the day, on 12/21/2023, I was called into Precinct 78 and asked to do a "Six-Pack" Identification. I'm quite confident of my identification of the assailant - so much so that it was obvious to me that the perpetrator may have attempted to dye his beard and some facial hair in an attempt to throw me off.
Or the NYPD may have bad printers.
Only then did I discover it wasn't a surrender - the NYPD merely questioned him and let him leave. That was not at all what the Detective had claimed would be happening. He blamed it on the DA.
NOTE: After several days of research and some helpful tips, significant evidence suggests the perpetrator is directly related to active and prior NYPD officers, along with possible leadership in Precinct 78.

RECAPs - NYPD Incidents - Possible Harassment?
NYPD - Case Issues
We still don't know what's up with Precinct 78, and the NYPD.
Maybe they are slow-walking the investigation? Maybe they just aren't very happy to work? Or maybe there's something more to it?
Some Redditors and I have gathered significant evidence that suggests the perpetrator is directly related to active and prior NYPD officers, along with possible leadership in Precinct 78.
Additional evidence has been gathered that suggests the "Owner" of Repossession Company 2 may also be directly related to active and prior NYPD officers in Precinct 78, Precinct 72, and Precinct 120.
Normally I wouldn't think much of flimsy connections like that. There's a lot of cops in this city. Having a relative who's an officer isn't that big of a deal.
But some recent interactions are becoming very worrisome.
NYPD - Incorrect Name / Information
On the day of my attack, I gave my driver's license to the responding officers. They initially spelled my last name wrong, despite my identification being accurate (and right in front of them).
I was assured this was corrected, and the paperwork I saw on the scene had it corrected.
When I met my Detectives several days later, my file also had the right last name.

NYPD - Permission to Leave & Immediate Call Back
Last week, I decided to head out of town to see some family. I cleared it with my Detective first. He made it clear I wasn't needed, and so I proceeded to drive about 5.5 hours out of town.
Imagine my shock when I got a text photo from him less than 24 hours later. The text photo? A subpoena, with my name spelled wrong, requiring my presence in Downtown Brooklyn just 36 hours later.
When I called and spoke with him, I was advised it was okay if I "just ignored the subpoena."
I didn't trust him. I packed up and drove the 5.5 hours back the next day.

Brooklyn DA's Office
Per the Subpoena, I went to the Brooklyn DA's Office in Downtown Brooklyn at 9:00 AM.
After waiting for a few hours, I was called to the Brooklyn DA's Grand Jury / Indictment Office.
The parties explained that their job was to secure a felony indictment against my Perpetrator.
I asked if they could disclose my perpetrator's name, or whether he had a prior criminal history. They said they weren't allowed to.
I then proceeded to ask about the Subpoena. I explained to them that the Detective stated I could "just ignore the subpoena."
They were confused and genuinely looked confused at the question.
So I asked what would have happened if I had just ignored it.
She replied: "The case would likely have been dropped."
That was my biggest fear and exactly why I made sure I was back in time.

Random Stops
[12-21-2023] 1st Incident
It started back on 12-21-2023. I didn't think much of it at the time.
I had received a call from my case detectives, asking me to meet them and do a "Six-Pack" Identification.
Since they had waited till the very end of their shifts, I was given just an hour to get across Brooklyn at rush hour.
Otherwise, the identification would have to wait a few days, or possibly, until after Christmas.
I have my suspicions that this was deliberate, but I had enough time to make it.
While headed over, I realized the Detectives had never messaged or told me where they wanted to meet. I didn't know if it was going to be at the Precinct, at the DA's Office, or a third-party location.
So I pull over, and put my vehicle in park. I start calling the Detective after this.
As I'm waiting for him to answer, a NYPD Sgt walks upto my vehicle and starts motioning me to roll down the window.
I comply.
He begins to ask where I'm headed, and I tell him "I'm not sure yet. I'm waiting to hear."
He then starts saying "You can't be on your cellphone while driving."
I point out that I'm pulled over, the vehicle is in park, and I'm not in motion. Then I tell him I'm literally on the way to do an identification after being assaulted and robbed just a few days earlier.
At this point, the Detective hadn't answered, and my phone went to his non-existent voicemail.
The Sgt then said something I found very concerning.
"Are you not happy with your NYPD service?" I told him no. Not the detective nor him.
Then I realize his body camera isn't on. And I ask him why he's conducting an official interaction without his body camera activated.
Now he tells me to move my vehicle to a different location ahead. So I comply. As I'm waiting for him to walk over to my now-stopped again vehicle, I activated the voice memos on my iPad and started recording the interaction.
The Sgt proceeds to start asking more questions - without his body camera activated. When I realized he wasn't intending to activate it, I went to start recording him with the phone.
And he smacks it out of my hand and states I can't photograph him.
At this point, he decides to activate his body camera, and states I'm detained while he issues me a ticket for using my cellphone while in motion.
None of this stop made any sense. I was pulled over, in park. My vehicle wasn't in motion. He made physical contact with me. He made mentions of me not liking the NYPD service. All without his body camera on. While I was headed directly to a six-pack identification. And I made the stupid mistake of telling my Detective what road I would be taking.
NOTE: I got the audio recording, but I never got the video rolling. Also, this was not the stolen phone - I had just been using a gifted old broken phone temporarily while waiting for the replacement to arrive. I also have a photo of the officer, but posting his photo would appear to violate the Reddit and subreddit doxxing rules. A website is being built where I can post more information without violating these rules.

[01-02-2024] 2nd Incident
On 01/02/2024, while in Park Slope, I get pulled over near Union Street by another Precinct 78 patrol car.
The Officer and her partner approached and asked me why I was talking on my "Cell Phone."
I asked her why she thought I was on my cell phone, and stated I wasn't.
She declines to answer. Just wants all my documents.
I politely pass them to her, and then let her know I'm audio and video recording as well.
Due to my last NYPD interaction (1st Incident), I started wearing my body camera at all times in my vehicle. I started recording the moment I saw the police car behind me.
Despite claiming I was talking on my cell phone, she instead wrote me a ticket for being on a mobile device while the vehicle was in motion.
Even though I let her know I had a body camera recording the entire interaction, including the time she was claiming I was on my phone.
I asked for both of their business cards, and cruiser number. They provided their business cards but then refused to give the cruiser number for some reason. So I get it out to get the numbers, and they just drive off.

[01-04-2024] 3rd Incident
I had two NYPD cruisers from Precinct 78 tailing me. Or at least appearing to.
The first cruiser followed me for 10 or so blocks towards Red Hook. I say "followed" because the chance that he also needed to make 4 consecutive left turns (taking me back to where I started in the first place), would be quite a coincidence.
Shortly after the 4 left turns, I pulled over and the cruiser slowly rolled past me. I got most of the cruiser number.
Shortly after I pulled off this spot, a second cruiser took up a tail and I pulled immediately back over. Rather than drive past me, that driver then did an illegal three-point turn and went in the opposite direction.
I only got a partial on that cruiser number.
NOTE: I caught most of it on my body camera, but it was mainly of my steering wheel / me speaking the turns/movements.

[12-18-2023] I was assaulted and robbed in Park Slope
While delivering holiday packages, I was assaulted and robbed in Park Slope Brooklyn.
I suffered a concussion, broken glasses, a stolen phone, and missing packages.
My assailant was a known neighborhood hothead. He regularly threatens people on 5th Street. It sounds like he's attacked other people in the neighborhood. He had threatened other drivers on this route before and threatened drivers from other national carriers. The street is terrified of him.
I was assaulted and robbed where the NYPD cruisers were standing.

[12-18-2023] The First Image
NYPD showed up, took a report, and was more than happy to slink away without doing any work. They didn't take any witness statements/information, check cameras, or even pick up the left-behind personal items the perpetrator had dropped.
They didn't even seem to believe there was a perpetratotruck. They made it clear it was not important to them.
I was so furious with them that I walked the block and checked with everyone who had a camera. Most didn’t catch the truck, didn’t have batteries or the owner didn’t want to “get involved.”
One business managed to catch his truck. But we couldn't read the plate or decals.
The perpetrator and company truck were filmed leaving the scene.

[12-18-2023] Appeal to Reddit
On a whim, I decided to post on Reddit about the situation. The Reddit community was able to pool knowledge from the neighborhood, giving us an idea of where to search for the truck.

[12-19-2023] We Found The Perpetrator's Company Truck
With the help of Reddit, a truck from the company was found on or around 12/19/2023 around 6 PM.
The truck appears, on the surface at least, to be the same truck used by the perpetrator to flee the scene on 12/18/2023.

[12-19-2023] We Found The Perpetrator
Shortly after finding the truck, I found the Perpetrator himself. The guy made no effort to hide and returned to the scene of my attack less than 48 hours later.
NOTE: I have a photo of him, but posting his photo would appear to violate the Reddit and subreddit doxxing rules. A website is being built where I can post more information without violating these rules.

[12-19-2023 to 12-21-2023] NYPD "Activities"
At the time of my original post, I had zero information about the tow business, the truck, the guy, or almost anything.
NYPD claimed they knew nothing, had no suspect identified, and did not expect it to be "solved."
It was made clear this was not a priority.
It was only after the original post blew up, that we found the truck. Then I found the actual perp.
Only then did NYPD start claiming they knew him and were coordinating a turn-in on Thursday 12/21/2023.
Later in the day, on 12/21/2023, I was called into Precinct 78 and asked to do a "Six-Pack" Identification. I'm quite confident of my identification of the assailant - so much so that it was obvious to me that the perpetrator may have attempted to dye his beard and some facial hair in an attempt to throw me off.
Or the NYPD may have bad printers.
Only then did I discover it wasn't a surrender - the NYPD merely questioned him and let him leave. That was not at all what the Detective had claimed would be happening. He blamed it on the DA.
NOTE: After several days of research and some helpful tips, significant evidence suggests the perpetrator is directly related to active and prior NYPD officers, along with possible leadership in Precinct 78.

[12-22-2023] Investigating "Repossession Company 1"
With the NYPD appearing to slow-walk the investigation (and likely having a serious conflict of interest), several Redditors and I tracked down the "tow" company on the side of the truck.
We found the company it was registered with ("Repossession Company 1"). It was a pure shell company. It has no operating licenses for tow or repossession in the City or State of New York.
Without those licenses, said the vehicle should not have had commercial tow license plates - unless it's registered to another company or a lease operation, etc.
The shell company owner made a huge mistake though - he registered the "Corporate Agent" as a residential address in Staten Island.
So, I proceeded to verify ownership of the said house from the New York City archives.
The property was owned by a woman whose last name matched a male who had randomly shown up on the scene of my attack - pretending to be a concerned neighbor.
This same male previously denied knowing anything about "Repossession Company 1," or my perpetrator. On a recorded interaction.
This male was further registered as owning an Automotive business ("Repossession Company 2").
Located on Union Street in Park Slope.

[12-23-2023] Investigating "Repossession Company 2"
With these suspicions, I kept an eye out on Repossession Company #2's "Storage Yard."
Imagine my surprise when the perpetrator, driving a truck placarded with Repossession Company #1's information, showed up towing a vehicle to Repossession Company #2's "Storage Yard."
As soon as they realized I had seen this and recorded the entire situation, the perpetrator and truck took off as quickly as possible.

[12-23-2023] Investigating "Repossession Company 1" Corporate Agent Address
One of our commenters was able to search the extremely limited public information in the Secretary of State Corporate Records. They ultimately located an active corporation listed on the Perpetrator's Truck.
Corporate Information in New York, as in most states, requires ordering actual records to get actual filings. But they are typically required to list a "Corporate Agent" or "Registered Agent," with whom filings / lawsuits / state documents can be sent.
This address was located in Staten Island, and is NOT the address listed on the perpetrator's truck.
NOTE: In fact, the address listed on the perpetrator's truck doesn't appear to exist at all. If it does, it doesn't seem to be listed in the NYC ACRIS records or property records for the State of New York.

[12-23-2023] Visiting "Repossession Company #1" Corporate Agent Address
I decided to drive to the Corporate Agent address for Repossession Company #1. I
Once there, I found several unmarked tow trucks sitting on the street. I photographed every vehicle, VIN, license plate, and the lack of decal information.
At no point did I step onto the property, nor did I approach the door.
As I was finishing up, a young man pulled up in another tow truck.

[12-23-2023] Young Man - Repossession Company #2's "Owners" Son / Relative?
When he rolled down the window, I recognized him immediately.
I had previously found a tiktok / Instagram registered to him, where he was dumb enough to use a handle that included his first name and his likely "dads" company name.
This guy asked what I was doing. And I told him.
I asked him if he lived at the address. He said no, he doesn't and lives elsewhere. Then I asked him if his nickname was "Little _____."
His face went completely white. We were certainly in the right place.

[12-23-2023] NYPD Response
This young man called the NYPD. About five minutes later, the first NYPD cruiser arrived on the scene.
Two Officers per usual. The 1st Officer was fantastic - this guy clearly understands how to serve his community. The 2nd Officer was a bit more "testy" and didn't like me being there.
But as they fully agreed, it isn't illegal to sit on a public road and watch.

[12-23-2023] Repossession Company #2 - "The Owner" shows up
Shortly after this, another tow rig shows up. Yet again unmarked, no decals, no DCA #'s, etc. But NY Commercial tow plates affixed to vehicle.
And the driver comes out SCREAMING at the police.
He starts throwing out accusations that I "threatened to put a bullet in his head," "I'm stalking him," "I beat up his tow truck driver", "I threatened his son" and yada yada yada. He wants me arrested on Felony Stalking and Menacing charges.
And who would you guess it is? The "Owner" of Repossession Company #2.
The same exact company where "Repossession Company #1's Truck" was found earlier that day.

[12-23-2023] Repossession Company 1 is connected to Repossession Company 2
"Repossession Company #2's Owner" showed up at the "Corporate Address" for "Repossession Company #1 (Perpetrators Truck Company).
He exposed his own connection to the business in exactly the way I'd hoped he would.
"Repossession Company #2's Owner" made extremely serious false allegations, on camera, against me.
Then his "son" did the same.
The connections between the two companies are confirmed. Further, "Repossession Company #2's Owner" and "Son" have exposed themselves to serious criminal and civil liability.

New Updates

But things have started to get a little more interesting. Or I guess a lot more interesting. Depends on your view.
Glasses
I was able to get my broken pair temporarily "repaired." The repair isn't great (and indeed not pretty), but they are working until the new set arrives!
Cell Phone
I've ordered a replacement and should get it early next week.

Litigation Holds
We've now identified and prepared the first 10 notice letters! These will be going out early next week.
Corporate Records
We've identified four "suspicious" corporate entities related to the shell company my attacker was working for. The initial records requests for these companies have been sent, and we are now waiting for them to arrive.

NYPD - Case Issues
We still don't know what's up with Precinct 78, and the NYPD.
Maybe they are slow-walking the investigation? Maybe they just aren't very happy to work? Or maybe there's something more to it?
Some Redditors and I have gathered significant evidence that suggests the perpetrator is directly related to active and prior NYPD officers, along with possible leadership in Precinct 78.
Additional evidence has been gathered that suggests the "Owner" of Repossession Company 2 may also be directly related to active and prior NYPD officers in Precinct 78, Precinct 72, and Precinct 120.
Normally I wouldn't think much of flimsy connections like that. There's a lot of cops in this city. Having a relative who's an officer isn't that big of a deal.
But some recent interactions are becoming very worrisome.

NYPD - Possible Harassment?
1st Incident
It started back on 12-21-2023. I didn't think much of it at the time.
I had received a call from my case detectives, asking me to meet them and do a "Six-Pack" Identification.
Since they had waited till the very end of their shifts, I was given just an hour to get across Brooklyn at rush hour.
Otherwise, the identification would have to wait a few days, or possibly, until after Christmas.
I have my suspicions that this was deliberate, but I had enough time to make it.
While headed over, I realized the Detectives had never messaged or told me where they wanted to meet. I didn't know if it was going to be at the Precinct, at the DA's Office, or a third-party location.
So I pull over, and put my vehicle in park. I start calling the Detective after this.
As I'm waiting for him to answer, a NYPD Sgt walks upto my vehicle and starts motioning me to roll down the window.
I comply.
He begins to ask where I'm headed, and I tell him "I'm not sure yet. I'm waiting to hear."
He then starts saying "You can't be on your cellphone while driving."
I point out that I'm pulled over, the vehicle is in park, and I'm not in motion. Then I tell him I'm literally on the way to do an identification after being assaulted and robbed just a few days earlier.
At this point, the Detective hadn't answered, and my phone went to his non-existent voicemail.
The Sgt then said something I found very concerning.
"Are you not happy with your NYPD service?" I told him no. Not the detective nor him.
Then I realize his body camera isn't on. And I ask him why he's conducting an official interaction without his body camera activated.
Now he tells me to move my vehicle to a different location ahead. So I comply. As I'm waiting for him to walk over to my now-stopped again vehicle, I activated the voice memos on my iPad and started recording the interaction.
The Sgt proceeds to start asking more questions - without his body camera activated. When I realized he wasn't intending to activate it, I went to start recording him with the phone.
And he smacks it out of my hand and states I can't photograph him.
At this point, he decides to activate his body camera, and states I'm detained while he issues me a ticket for using my cellphone while in motion.
None of this stop made any sense. I was pulled over, in park. My vehicle wasn't in motion. He made physical contact with me. He made mentions of me not liking the NYPD service. All without his body camera on. While I was headed directly to a six-pack identification. And I made the stupid mistake of telling my Detective what road I would be taking.
NOTE: I got the audio recording, but I never got the video rolling. Also, this was not the stolen phone - I've just been using a gifted old broken phone temporarily while waiting for the replacement to arrive.

2nd Incident
On 01/02/2024, while in Park Slope, I get pulled over near Union Street by another Precinct 78 patrol car.
The Officer and her partner approached and asked me why I was talking on my "Cell Phone."
I asked her why she thought I was on my cell phone, and stated I wasn't.
She declines to answer. Just wants all my documents.
I politely pass them to her, and then let her know I'm audio and video recording as well.
Due to my last NYPD interaction (1st Incident), I started wearing my body camera at all times in my vehicle. I started recording the moment I saw the police car behind me.
Despite claiming I was talking on my cell phone, she instead wrote me a ticket for being on a mobile device while the vehicle was in motion.
Even though I let her know I had a body camera recording the entire interaction, including the time she was claiming I was on my phone.
I asked for both of their business cards, and cruiser number. They provided their business cards but then refused to give the cruiser number for some reason. So I get it out to get the numbers, and they just drive off.

3rd Incident
Yesterday, while in Park Slope, I had two NYPD cruisers from Precinct 78 tailing me. Or at least appearing to.
The first cruiser followed me for 10 or so blocks towards Red Hook. I say "followed" because the chance that he also needed to make 4 consecutive left turns (taking me back to where I started in the first place), would be quite a coincidence.
Shortly after the 4 left turns, I pulled over and the cruiser slowly rolled past me. I got most of the cruiser number.
Shortly after I pulled off this spot, a second cruiser took up a tail and I pulled immediately back over. Rather than drive past me, that driver then did an illegal three-point turn and went in the opposite direction.
I only got a partial on that cruiser number.
NOTE: I caught most of it on my body camera, but it was mainly of my steering wheel / me speaking the turns/movements.

NYPD - Incorrect Name / Information
On the day of my attack, I gave my driver's license to the responding officers. They initially spelled my last name wrong, despite my identification being accurate (and right in front of them).
I was assured this was corrected, and the paperwork I saw on the scene had it corrected.
When I met my Detectives several days later, my file also had the right last name.

NYPD - Permission to Leave & Immediate Call Back
Last week, I decided to head out of town to see some family. I cleared it with my Detective first. He made it clear I wasn't needed, and so I proceeded to drive about 5.5 hours out of town.
Imagine my shock when I got a text photo from him less than 24 hours later. The text photo? A subpoena, with my name spelled wrong, requiring my presence in Downtown Brooklyn just 36 hours later.
When I called and spoke with him, I was advised it was okay if I "just ignored the subpoena."
I didn't trust him. I packed up and drove the 5.5 hours back the next day.

Brooklyn DA's Office
Per the Subpoena, I went to the Brooklyn DA's Office in Downtown Brooklyn at 9:00 AM.
After waiting for a few hours, I was called to the Brooklyn DA's Grand Jury / Indictment Office.
The parties explained that their job was to secure a felony indictment against my Perpetrator.
I asked if they could disclose my perpetrator's name, or whether he had a prior criminal history. They said they weren't allowed to.
I then proceeded to ask about the Subpoena. I explained to them that the Detective stated I could "just ignore the subpoena."
They were confused and genuinely looked confused at the question.
So I asked what would have happened if I had just ignored it.
She replied: "The case would likely have been dropped."
That was my biggest fear and exactly why I made sure I was back in time.

Restraining Order
During our meeting, the Brooklyn DA's Office informed me that they had procured a restraining order for me against my Perpetrator (while they seek the indictment).
Yet when she goes to print it, she realizes the 78th Precinct / Detectives misspelled my name - leading the judge to issue a restraining order to an incorrect name.
They weren't sure if that restraining order was now invalid, but insisted they would push to have it fixed ASAP.
It's been a week and I haven't seen any corrections / new restraining orders issued.

New York State is a one-party consent state. As long as one party consents, recording is permitted.
I have held off disclosing this, but a number of the events have been recorded on body camera, or audio recorder.
When the website is completed, I will upload everything I have captured to it.
NOTE: I wasn't wearing a body camera on the day of my assault. It wasn't permitted by my company. If I'd been allowed to run it, this may have never happened.

Moving Forward - Beyond My Situation
It may take a few weeks to get the first round of corporate records. Sadly, we can't do a lot of additional research until then.
Some of the researchers had a great idea. While we wait, why don't we help some of the neighbors?
Since going public, I've received some messages from our neighbors here in Brooklyn.
Many have reported being threatened, accosted and even assaulted themselves by a number of shady fly-by-the-night companies in the Park Slope, Red Hook, Cobble Hill and Greater Brooklyn areas. Many of these operations appear to have connections, in some form, to the very same parties behind my assailant.
Many of our neighbors aren't in a position to expose themselves, or lack the knowledge of where to even begin.
And that's okay. So many people have identified with my situation and stepped up to help. The least I can do is help them in the same fashion!
As such, I've gone ahead and upped our 3rd Goal to $5,000.00.
What will the additional funds be used for? The current plan is to expand our corporate records requests, request NYPD footage from similar, yet now defunct Precinct 78 cases, and some old-fashioned on the ground investigation of some issues that are actively adjacent to my situation.
Hopefully it will give us enough evidence to present to the relevant NYC agencies - or - at least enough evidence to get the media to look into their situations deeper than we can.
