Desperately need Advice from a girlie diagnose with demon Friday and who has a previous diagnosis of endometriosis.
I am hopeful for advice as I feel like I’m loosing my mind lol. Desperately need Advice
I am hopeful for advice as I feel like I’m loosing my mind lol. I got the results from my most recent ultrasound Friday. My gyno shared that I have adenomyosis and that it’s the first time she’s seen this on the ultrasound. I was ecstatic about finally having my lower right side abdominal/pelvic/groin/hip pain explained as this has been an issue for several years and I felt like i was a medical abnormality lol. She shared that no endo showed up in the ultrasound. She shared that typical treatment would be to get an iud or go on BC, get a deep tissue message for adeno pain and find a pelvic floor therapist for the pain and the incontinence issues I’ve had for the past year. I was told that I might not be the best candidate for another laparoscopic surgery as she doesn’t really see the need to do another but that she would leave the choice up to me. She will put me on the surgery wait list if I choose.
History: diagnosed with endo 2021, laparoscopy in 2022. I had a 5 cm ovary cyst at the time and the other ovary was covered in smaller cysts. Cysts were not addressed or removed while I was operated on. The 5 cm cyst wasn’t found I believe I burst it prior to surgery. Pockets of endo were found deep in my pelvis and removed. Although pain decreased after surgery, I knew they left something as my right side pain didn’t leave. I assume this was adenomyosis. I’m currently on orilissa and went off of BC 2 years ago as I was going to try for a kid but…
Soooo I feel like I should push for another lap- endo doesn’t always show on scans. Re adeno, any advice?
Oh and she mentioned like 6 months ago maybe ends had spread to my bladder ..
My aunt has adeno and is getting a hysterectomy. I’m 24 and scared sh*t less about my future and desperately need to manage these conditions. I got the results from my most recent ultrasound Friday. Atlanta Defeats Leverkusen and Won the Europa League Finals
https://preview.redd.it/67jhq6h2t52d1.jpg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f7de9260cb3c8e7b37518801253fdea3c0c3a6e6
  • Similarly against Chief Association heavyweights Liverpool and three-time finalists Olympique de Marseille in the past two rounds.
  • Atalanta didn’t give their rivals a sniff to stamp their most memorable European last with a renowned triumph.
  • The success is Atalanta’s second significant prize in their 117-year history.
An Ademola Lookman full go-around secured Atalanta the Europa Association with a 3–0 triumph over Bayer Leverkusen, finishing the German heroes’ noteworthy unbeaten streak.
Lookman, who attempted to set up a good foundation for himself in the English Head Association with Everton, Fulham, and Leicester City before restoring his profession in Italy under Atalanta mentor Gian Piero Gasperini, struck two times inside the initial 26 minutes before fixing the success a little ways from full time.

Atlanta Won the Europa League Finals

The triumph finished Gasperini’s two-very long-term quest for significant flatware as his side completely outclassed Xabi Alonso’s impressive Leverkusen side — or ‘Neverlusen’ as they had been named in the wake of going an unimaginable 51 games unbeaten.
That discussion about Alonso was right on the money: winning the Bundesliga with any side other than Bayern Munich is a surprising accomplishment, and even more so to do it how he has, however here his side was shaken out of their walk by Atalanta’s association and the dynamism of Éderson and Teun Koopmeiners specifically.
There was a sense the Europa Association was made for this: two groups who have had magnificent seasons, both playing brilliant, energetic football, given a phase on which to partake in a fantastic European evening.
For the enthusiasts of the two clubs, there was a discernible energy just to be here; for them, the experience of finals has not turned into a cloyingly natural daily practice as it can appear to have become for devotees of the monsters.

2024.05.23 13:08 r2platform Plot update for the R2platform

Plot update for the R2platform
We have been working hard to bring you the latest update in the R2 genomics analysis and visualization platform (https://r2.amc.nl). In the latest update, we have made substantial changes to many of the plots that can be produced within R2. Many of the adaptable parameters have now become interactive and are placed under the 'gears' icon.
The 'gears' icon
Let's have a look at a gene within one of the many resources that are publicly available in R2. We will look at the GATA3 gene in an integrated resouce where samples from both GTEx as well as the TCGA have been integrated and 'batch corrected' to get an immersive view of expression in normal as well as cancer samples.
We first select our resource of interest by clicking on 'select a data set'. and then find the 'TCGA GTEX' using the filters and by pressing 'confirm selection'
Main page from R2
We then select 'view a gene in groups' from the 'select ype of analysis' and progress by clicking 'next'
Selecting the gene, grouping variable and setting other parameters
Here we can then type the gene that we are interested in (the GAT3 gene), and select this from the drop-down that will appear while we are typing. The we select the grouping variable which will be used to seggregate the samples. We select 'tissue_type' here.
From the graphics section, we choose 'violin' to select the violin plot and add scatter to 'true'. We will use 'color' to distinguish between 'tumor' and 'normal' using the grouping variable 'tn'. And then 'submit'.
A violin plot showing the expression of GATA3 in different tissue types, colored by tumor / normal status
The violin plot is now shown separated by the type of tissue, and colored according to tumor or normal status. We can clearly see that breast and bladder have a high expression. If you click on the 'gears' icon, the settings become visible. Here you can export or copy the image to the clipboard, for easy pasting in e.g. PowerPoint.
In the 'general' tab, many settings can be adapted to mold the plot to your linking
https://preview.redd.it/7zk3ztw1o52d1.png?width=1210&format=png&auto=webp&s=d57a1a598ecc6e4d876a1e636a90c6e2fdcf7922
For example, you can change the aspect ratio using the dimensions, change font sizes, the representation of the dots (size / opacity / apearance) etc. This gives you geat flexibility.
Since we have used a 'grouping variable' for the color, we can simply click on the legend groups to toggle them. The plot will update accordingly (and also update the test statistic). This is a great way for eploring patterns.
toggling color groups
Using the form that is still available near the bottom of the page, you can change gene, tpye of graph and much, much more to create the representation you need.
Adapted gene / plot / grouping variable
Another cool thing in R2, is that you can typically also quickly go to another module with a simple click. Let's try the 'sample map' on the right side.
https://preview.redd.it/tvt6fyikq52d1.png?width=964&format=png&auto=webp&s=72e6cc0c21b4b266bec1c5ad94ceadf0725de567
This brings you to the 'data-driven' views of this resource, where we can also depict the expression of a gene in the interactive visualization. We can also choose to 'color by track' and see the groups to see that indeed 'tissue' is also separating in the UMAP representation.
https://i.redd.it/pjlpjrcmr52d1.gif
We hope that you get the idea and see the possibilities from this small story and that you will also enjoy the new functions that we implemented in R2.
This is just a tiny example. R2 allows you to do many more things such as differential expression, correlations. pca, heatmaps, survival analysis, but also chipseq, mutations, drugtests, whole genome sequencing and much much more. All on thousands of public resources in an online open tool, that does not need any coding or bioinformatics knowledge.
So direct your browser to the open online R2 genomics analysis and visualization platform https://r2.amc.nl and try it yourself.

Belts and Bags

Cinching your t-shirt with a belt can add definition to your waist and create a more structured silhouette. Choose a stylish bag to complement your look – a tote for daytime and a chic clutch for the evening.

Seasonal Styling Tips

Summer Vibes

For summer, go for light, airy fabrics. Pair your t-shirt with denim shorts and sandals. A wide-brimmed hat and some cool shades will keep you looking fresh and fashionable.

Cozy Winter Wear

Layer your oversized t-shirt under a chunky knit sweater or a stylish jacket. Pair with skinny jeans and boots. Don’t forget a cozy scarf to complete your winter ensemble.

Layering Techniques

Under Layers

Wear a fitted long-sleeve top under your oversized t-shirt for added warmth and style. This works particularly well in cooler weather.

Over Layers

Layering a blazer or a denim jacket over your t-shirt can instantly smarten up your look. It's perfect for transitioning from day to night.

Tucking and Tying Techniques

Front Tuck

Tuck the front of your t-shirt into your jeans for a casual yet polished look. It helps create a flattering shape and adds a bit of edge.

Side Knot

Tie a knot on one side of your t-shirt to bring a playful element to your outfit. This technique works well with high-waisted bottoms.

Full Tuck

For a more defined waistline, tuck your t-shirt completely into your bottoms. This style is perfect for a more refined appearance.

Pairing with Bottoms

Denim Jeans

A classic choice, denim jeans of any style – skinny, boyfriend, or flared – pair perfectly with oversized t-shirts.

Leggings

For ultimate comfort, leggings are your best friend. Opt for leather-look leggings for a touch of glam or classic black for a streamlined look.

Skirts

Balance the loose fit of the t-shirt with a fitted skirt. Pencil skirts, mini skirts, and even maxi skirts can create diverse looks.

Footwear Choices

Sneakers

Sneakers add a casual, sporty vibe to your oversized t-shirt outfit. They’re comfortable and stylish, making them ideal for everyday wear.

Boots

For a more rugged look, pair your t-shirt with ankle or knee-high boots. This combination works particularly well in fall and winter.

Heels

Add a touch of sophistication with a pair of heels. Whether you choose stilettos or block heels, they can elevate your oversized t-shirt to a chic, evening-ready outfit.

Prints and Patterns

Stripes and Solids

Classic stripes and solid colors are timeless and versatile. They can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Graphic Designs

Express your personality with graphic t-shirts. Dioste offers a range of unique designs that can make a bold statement.

Monochromatic Looks

Creating a Unified Color Scheme

Monochromatic outfits are sleek and stylish. Choose shades from the same color family for a cohesive look.

Using Contrast

Alternatively, use contrasting colors to make your outfit pop. A black t-shirt with white pants, for example, creates a striking and fashionable appearance.

Mixing Textures

Smooth vs. Textured Fabrics

Mixing smooth and textured fabrics can add depth and interest to your outfit. Pair a smooth cotton t-shirt with a textured leather skirt for an edgy look.

Combining Different Materials

Experiment with different materials like silk, denim, and knitwear to create a unique and dynamic outfit.

2024.05.23 12:27 HallowsChaser I broke up with him to protect myself... Is it wrong for me to hope he doesn't date anyone anytime soon?

So, I dated my ex-boyfriend for two years. During that time, there were several issues that cropped up. In order of how much they hurt me:
  1. Being left alone for hours after having a seizure while also struggling with a stomach flu, stuck on the bathroom floor naked and unable to move very much. I'd texted and called him repeatedly for help with no answers. When my friends (who'd helped me get dressed and eventually taken to a doctor) called him, all he would say is "I'm busy with my siblings, I can't help right now". I could hear him playing video games with his friends in the background, and by that point just wanted some form of verbal comfort from him that I'd be alright.
  2. Him cancelling a date to the fair that we'd been planning for 3 months, then taking his siblings out to the same place we'd been planning on going to. I normally admire how well he gets along with his siblings, but this hurt because he took our scheduled date and shifted the focus to his siblings instead.
  3. Ranting at me for an hour after I (in a desperate bid for answers) went off on his mother for what happened in 2 above. Yes, I know that wasn't my best moment, but I'd been dealing with being emotionally abused for more than a year by this point, albeit unaware of that fact.
  4. For an entire year, he kept saying "when we get married...", but kept backing out of wedding days that I wanted and/or planned.
  5. Starting a few weeks after our 8-month anniversary, he started to spend less and less time with me with all kinds of excuses.
  6. Cont'd from 5: he constantly gave the same excuses for why he was backing out of whatever dates we set. Most often, his excuses involved his family, college, the military, or any combination of the three. This wouldn't have bothered me, and I'm very much in favor of people spending time with their parents, siblings, friends and coworkers. The issue was that this kept going for more than a year, to the point that I began feeling like he no longer cared about me.
  7. Cont'd from 5 & 6: asking for one hour a week (that's 1/168 of time time) and not being given that.
  8. My two love languages are Physical Touch and Time Spent Together, so numbers 5-7 happening repeatedly was somewhat like having someone poking or pulling at an open emotional wound repeatedly until it became "infected".
  9. Him telling me to "get over it" whenever I would explain that I have health limitations of the physical and/or mental variety. Normally I don't mind when someone tells me to push my limits, but to dismiss my limitations completely and insist that they're not important when they can be life-threatening... I don't think that's right.
  10. I'd moved across the country to be with him, and worked myself to the bone to earn enough money to do so. After having me within an hour's car ride from him for six months, he treated this move as if it were nothing, and that the separation from my entire family wasn't a big deal. To me, emotionally, it is a big deal and I repeatedly told him such, to no avail.
Now, I'm not saying I'm perfect in this. I lost my temper with him and his mother at times, and often let them know when I felt disrespected. There were times where I wondered if he truly loved me, or if I was just a "side piece" to him. It took me nearly five months to come to terms with the breakup and process it fully, despite how I was the one to do so in the hopes of protecting myself.
I'm still in therapy for what happened, struggling with depression and feeling unworthy of romantic love after everything was said and done. I know I don't ever want to take him back as a boyfriend, and wish him the best. However, I also know (from mutual friends) that his behavior hasn't changed.
Recently, I learned my ex-boyfriend is in a new relationship. He's known his new girlfriend for less than six months and is planning on proposing to her. I'm not against that in any way, and want the best for him. It does, however, open up all kinds of new wounds emotionally.
Now that he's happy with someone else, I can't help but wonder if there's anyone out there who will accept me for who I am. I recently find myself wondering if anyone will accept me and all my health conditions as well. I often wonder what else I could have done better, and why I wasn't "good enough" for either of my ex-boyfriends. I don't understand why I was treated the way I was and am, when I gave my all to my ex-boyfriend. I can't help but question whether I'm a bad person, or if I was just dealt a crappy hand in this regard.
TLDR: I left to protect myself from being hurt even more. Now, I can't help but wonder what I did wrong and whether I should or shouldn't be happy that my ex-boyfriend is thinking about proposing to someone else.

2024.05.23 12:26 GameboyAdvance32 The Topic of Male Body Hair

Been a while since my last discussion post, but I’m back with another one. Wow! A combo of not having the right inspiration for one and text posts not performing like image posts do and you have a lack of discussion posts lol, but anyways, the topic, right?
Body hair is certainly a topic. While I reckon just about anybody has their “experiences” with it, at least from my perspective adding gender screwery on top certainly doesn’t help things. At least as I understand, men naturally just produce more and thicker body and facial hair than women. There are always exceptions of course, but by and large that’s the case. For now I’ll be focusing on the male end of things from a male perspective, but in another discussion post I might tackle my (of course, biased) views on the female end. Keep that in mind, obviously none of these are “objectively correct” these are purely my opinions and personal experiences.
So I’ll talk about the male side first, since that’s the side I actually deal with on a daily basis. Let’s just say I’ve had quite a bumpy ride, both literally and figuratively, and I doubt I’m anywhere near the end. Things first started way back in high school. I’d just turned 13, and this was unfortunately the time my body decided to turn on me. Growth spurt after growth spurt, leg hair first appeared and arm hair kicked into turbo, my voice was phasing into adulthood, and only about a year or two later would I feel the beginning of facial hair. As an adult I’ve come to peace with those changes, they’re natural and I’m okay with that, but 13 year old me was very much not happy. Most boys my age seemed excited to be growing into maturity, while I was happy exactly how I was and did not ask for any of these rapid changes. While I could discuss plenty others, gotta stay focused on the hair lol. For a good chunk of high school I just kinda gave up and let my leg hair grow. I didn’t like it, but I tolerated it cause it was too much of a headache to bother with. Eventually though, around senior year I wanna say, I pulled the classic blunder: shaving my entire legs with no shaving cream and the razor I use for my face. Needless to say, I was in pain for like a week afterwards. Very bad idea, but I inevitably had to come clean with my Mom. Ya can’t waddle around the house all day without questions being asked.
So after some talks, I got set up with some proper shaving stuff, and long story short i jumped from that to Nair, to epilation, back to Nair, and right now I’m back to shaving. What a journey. I figured I’d discuss my experiences with each method. So, epilation. In short if you’re unaware, at least with the sort of epilator I bought, it’s a machine with basically tiny tweezers all along the surface of a rotating barrel. You press it lightly against your skin, and as it whirrs it plucks off hairs individually. I know it sounds like a torture device but it’s really not nearly as bad as it sounds. On the plus side it removes hairs from the root, so your skin will be smooth for quite a while, (a solid few days for me), and when hair finally does poke back through, it’s typically quite soft. This means for me I only did it about once a week. Cons are that it is SUPER painful the first time around, and while it gets a lot better with time, it’s never fully painless. Particularly any part of your skin where there’s not much bone or muscle directly below can really hurt. Epilating my knee didn’t hurt much at all, but going for the butt taught me a lesson lol.
Nair is nice in that you’re not placing metal right up against your skin, and it lasts a little longer than shaving, (about two days for me). Issue with that though is in my experience, it can be nigh impossible to both avoid chemical burns and actually get all the hair off. Now, considering the biological difference and that it’s aimed at women, I imagine it’d work much better for them, but for me? I never quite found the sweet spot of just enough in both amount and time left on the skin to get a clean “shave,” but not too much so as to get a burn. Heck, sometimes I’d get an awful burn AND it wouldn’t get it all off. So that was fun. However, what it does have over both other methods is getting into crevices and going on sensitive skin. Not sensitive skin in relation to abrasives or burns, but in terms of what I was saying earlier about not having much muscle or bone directly beneath. Nair is kinda the best way I’ve found at getting hair on my foot where there’s awkward crevices and shapes, and on my “rear” where epilation hurts like crap and shaving is harder to do. I still keep a good deal around for this reason.
And finally, shaving. Unfortunately the shortest lasting method, but also the least painful in my experience. I’d say the biggest downfall is the time it lasts, I shave after I get home from work every evening and I can already feel stubble by the time I wake up. The plus is that, unlike my experience with the other two methods on my legs, my skins finally been clearing up from irritations since I’ve started shaving. It’s still a slow process, but I’m willing to trade a tiny bit of stubble you can barely see at all over red and bumpy patches of skin lol.
Ultimately I don’t think any of these methods is definitively better than the others. It all depends on your skin type, how it reacts to each, your pain tolerance, how much time/money you have to spend on hair management, how close and how long you need each “shave” to be, etc. It’s not one size fits all, so if you’re ever dissatisfied with any method you’re using I’d recommend trying the others sometime. You might find something working better for you, or heck, you might mix some together like I do. And of course, there are plenty of men who don’t care and just let it all grow. While that may not be my style personally, we’re all free to do what makes us feel comfortable, y’know? That and eventually I’d like to just get laser and be done with all this headache entirely, but unfortunately that costs money so it’ll be quite a while before ai can afford it. Either way I wish y’all the best of luck in your journeys here, cause if you’re anything like me? You’ll need it lol.

2024.05.23 12:22 Special_Fisherman151 Detailed Inside Scoop A few clarifications regarding the Kalyani Nagar Porsche accident case in Pune

In the past few days, this situation has escalated beyond anyone's expectations. The media's focus on the matter as well as word of mouth has been immense, but this although a benefit to justice overall has brought attention to a lot of false narratives.
I am someone that is quite close to this ongoing case and also one of the witnesses not just for the accident but the events that took place after as well as prior to it. I have insider information regarding both parties and will be making 2 separate unbiased and purely analytical posts based on 100% confirmed facts in each, for each party at play which is of the driver and the rider. This one reveals secrets in support of Vedant Agarwal.
Justice should be delivered but it can only be called "justice" if all variables have been taken into account and both the accused and victims are critically assessed in an unbiased manner.

Thus, here are just a few clarifications for current common misconceptions:

Finally, I just want to make some requests. One is that everyone who goes to visit the scene of the accident to pay their respects to the deceased, PLEASE wear helmets when you come on two-wheelers. The amount of people I see on an almost daily basis show up there to spread awareness about rules and regulations and following correct traffic laws while repeating the same mistakes seems so disrespectful to the deceased in my opinion. I do not care if you have a death wish and hate wearing helmets for your daily commute, but at least when showing up for this, wear one. If you see someone there who isn't wearing one, tell them to wear one. They're not too expensive when you understand how valuable they are. Two is that people need to go a little bit easier on the father, yes it was his carelessness and lack of dealing with his responsibilities that played a part in causing the accident but at the same time, from a father's perspective, he was just trying to give his child a life he was probably unable to have. We all want to earn to keep our families happy and satisfied and work hard in discomfort so that they live easily, he wanted the same but got carried away by it. Blame him for his irresponsibility but don't call him a murderer and throw ink on him when his only mistake was to trust his own son. I personally find the managers at Cosie, Blak and Ballr as well as the RTO police and authorities that allowed these places to stay operating that late at night at more fault than the father. At the same time, when you do speak of Vedant even, do remember that he indeed is just a child and has a not fully developed brain, you aren't telling an adult who caused an accident to kill himself or worse but a child that was already going through severe depression and other mental as well as physical troubles. Justice will be served and I believe in us to gain it, but we must be weary of in what manner we wish to gain it.
Just for clarification: I AM IN NO WAY IN SUPPORT OF VEDANT AGARWAL, HIS FAMILY OR ANY OF THE OTHERS AT FAULT OR IN RELATIONS TO THIS CASE. I SIMPLY NOTICED HOW ONE SIDED THE SITUATION IS AND FOR ETHICAL FAIRNESS MADE THIS POST.

2024.05.23 12:19 zedadex Starkros' point.

Posting that key part of a story that I'm vaguely seeing in my mind's eye.
There's much to establish and hash out to myself. I'm pretty sure there's four characters and not two, and we have to figure out what ending the Mechanist reaches.
But Starkros (working title) isn't my story; it's one of many possible intersections of our two. (My story -one of them - is Nightfall, of course. Not a working title. Imagine a world 🎶. I can see the parallels between it and my life; almost-direct, and yet missing a lot of facets, of people you might find interesting yet I find boring and pretty distant to my life story overall. Things I do care about usually end up forming its story arcs. You'll be delighted to know that I haven't figured out where you exist in it, yet. You're in other stories, like this one I'm seeing bits and pieces of; but still. If it makes you feel any better, I'd spend endless time writing about you, but I still haven't woven you into my story. I wasn't trying to, without your consent, Bee. I want us to talk things through together; but I recognize your need and desire for safety and that you were feeling uncomfortable and potentially unheard with me. FWIW, I am truly sorry. I know you don't trust my words but the Action of staying away and yet expressing Myself at the void of the internet... probably does very little to make me not seem Limerent, I'm sure. But I don't care; I like you, I'm rambley. Love languages; I'll learn to prioritize Actions and also express my needs if you ever do welcome my company again.)
And yes, this isn't the full story; merely a nucleus. I'd need to be my fully-Happy self to focus on and write it; while I'm occasionally reaching Realized I'm not quite at Happy yet. But I'm happy enough that I'm getting there, it's only a matter of Time, Projects, People, and (? Routines? idk, but I could totally make a new mantra lol) before I'm in a Happy rhythm again. I do miss you lots, and wish talking-to-you could be a part of it; but I won't reach out and try until you see I can be Happy in other areas. It might help you to trust me again; and literally anything I can do to improve my chances are a thing-I-will-do before I reach out, I know you Shouldn't mean that much to me but you Do. :P
With all that said, I would just need more Moments with you to encode/better understand Starkros. If I get to a Happy Writing-Point and you rejected me I'd still be able to write it; I'd just either need to extrapolate the rest of the story (doable, but with less resonance to me; so more could-go-anywhere lol) or more likely would just be writing other stories that still resonated. I just kinda do things and am figuring out how to do them effectively. (Yay project manageme- aw. 😂)
This isn't me working at full thought-encoding efficiency by the way. Still just tappin' away at a computer. It sucks having a sense of how computing should work (and will work in 500 years) yet being stuck with digital caveperson tools to try and realize it, lol. (See: Nightfall; they live in a digital world =D)
As a side note - I saved + archived* that Snowy Lab sub-story but this might be a part of it; that was the one where his chest spits out a bunch of rocks and he starts chipping away at them, i.e. working on himself. (I don't think that'll be the Mechanist character, though)
  • I'm starting to give the Mechanist thought-crystals, though; so maybe I will edit the Snowy Lab thing to be that he uses crystals to dull the rocky points. Hmm.
  • (I need to stop archiving+deleting stuff; I'm self-conscious about looking like a limerent-crazy-person lol. I do need to make the thing to sort Thoughts into Spaces; so then I can just shake my head sideways, dump out all my thoughts to paper or screen, and just *sort them out like the friggin' millennium puzzle and get my thoughts and sense-of-self Unified and under control lmao)
Anyways, without further ado, the stuff I consider a nexus/turning point to a story in my head, presented in media res and without much explanation. Sorry it isn't surrounded by the rest of the story, yet. There is a fuzzy understanding of these characters; but my writing tends to start off very heavy-handed (see the "working on himself" thing lol) while adding subtleties later. I actually need a lot more practice as a writer; but you thinking I'm good is still a happy-talisman for me =3 (If you no longer do tell me much later, I could use happy-talismans right now 😅 I hope to reread yours in native German someday... It's probably as beautiful as your art, which I miss no longer seeing but I know it's my fault for not listening )
Having trudged on long enough, she fell, giving in to her exhaustion. The ground rose to meet her, the storm having battered her down. Slumping into a rest, she prepared her systems to enter standby.
A shadow momentarily passed the flickering candle in the window; she could sense those foreign subsystems... the figure was approaching.
She sighed; very well, do your worst. She'd make it easy for him. She opened her mental hatchway, disabled the safeguards, yet left the last one - total lockdown - intact for herself later. She'd sooner close herself off completely than end up his puppet. No matter what. She'd escape that fate.
The figure approached; but even as it did, she let exhaustion take her first. She closed her eyes...
...And opened them. Time had passed; her Systems had been partially restored; yet... very little had changed. She still sat against that wall. Surprising. She looked around.
The shadow that'd been approaching her - the Mechanist - sat a ways away from her again; typing away at a portable Terminal. Wires and cables connected to his systems. Surrounding the two of them was a large, rectangular Tent. Its thin flapping material was anchored to some frame-structure, extending the Mechanist's hexagonal reprieve temporarily; yet they were not inside. She'd expected to wake strapped to a cold experimentation table; or perhaps a warm façade of a room - another of his Illusions obviously meant to ease her inhibitions, though he seemed to dwell overmuch on them.
But no; instead, she still simply sat exactly where she'd been; a thin tent shielding them from the worst of the Elements but doing little else. The particulates still ate at her outer Shells; her System still reported feeling biting cold; and innately, gentle Orange and Red lights still pulsed and flickered in various places and status panels; the reason she'd been seeking new Components in the first place.
She'd felt largely recharged, cursorily repaired. Certainly less damage done than their first encounter. At least now he'd largely stopped trying to interfere with her systems.
She looked over at the Mechanist. Those foreign modules... Under his coat and at his belt clinked the Crystals, the modules he'd claimed to have wanted to give her, his nigh-alien technology that she feared clashing with her own. Yet they lay undisturbed in their casings, the Mechanist simpy having run systems updates against her own database, restoring her to the condition she'd been in before - including his own access level, her mental hatchway closed once again. Remote. Minimal. Untrusted foreign objects, unknown, adversarial. Shoot on sight. He hadn't intruded any further, informed the logs.
Her hesitation and wariness gave way to sheer confusion. "Perhaps I don't... Understand," She began; but the Mechanist stood up, closing his terminal. He'd finished the work of restoring her systems, so much as he could given his access level.
"I can't install modules in you," he said simply. "Not unless your system accepted them itself. That was my mistake - I'm learning how to bridge our networks now, but it's tough going. Ultimately, my modules were less important than I'd thought," he began; yet already those strange wisps were forming around him, a picture materializing which he briefly considered, yet quickly shoo'ed away - but she caught a glance, irises zooming, recording -
He went on. "- I didn't need to install anything. You already have them - those core components - and I needed merely to quietly quell mine, understand yours," he said. "I was... excited, you see. I'd... well, there were many smaller mixed signals besides, but that one..." he'd devolved to stammering, and stopped with a wistful sigh. His contrition brooked little, he mostly just seemed speaking to himself. As usual. She played back the wisps' image. Those cutesy reduced-detail figures played again. She recognized figures his diagrams consisted of; one chibi blob poking the others' chest, yielding a pulse, a warmth, a... giggle? No wonder he'd waved it away.
Her eyes narrowed; she played back the wisping image again. His wave was sharpest at the giggle; perhaps he... understood a bit better, now? Her Security measures would kick in; perhaps he now thought that poke wouldn't be met with a giggle. Good, she affirmed to herself. He's never quieted his machines long enough to traverse her systems. How could he begin to know where to go, what to do? He'd kept running into stacks, causing errors; he'd done more harm than good and might've eventually destroyed critical Components she'd had, had she not yanked his access herself. (Then he'd gone looking, searching; claiming he'd "feared he'd hurt her" - yet too little, too late! What good could he do if he could not be trusted to see her signs, her signals, notice when her systems were reaching criticality, at that point? She'd simply have to regulate herself forever, how might he ever know, or grow, or change? What good could they ever do for each other, if the circuits needed to make it there were so hazardous?)
How, in this storm, could I ever trust you?
She didn't need him, she knew. And perhaps... Perhaps now, he knew it too. Back outside her thoughts, the Mechanist sighed, and started "Look, for what it's wo-"
A stony look silenced him. She felt she knew what he was about to say, but it didn't matter; he still missed things, didn't understand. He'd never understand her, she'd never make the same mistake again, again, again. With him, with others. Though her internals glowed Orange, Red - What was the point, risking the whole thing? These damn frustrating loops she was trying so hard to break out of?
I don't care what you think you're doing, she thought, coldly. You won't get me to do things I don't want to; I know you'll never respect my boundaries... and yet - the Mechanist had already nodded at her repudiation, not pressed. "I understand," and like that, he'd strolled to the door.
What is he... As he opened the flap, many of his wisps emerged to surround him in his storm of Thoughts once again; yet their whirling colors hadn't solidified still. Shapes dancing and forming and vanishing; yet he briskly exited, the projections occluded as his silhouette vanished behind the flap.
She wondered. Those colors often danced in a window visible far and wide, yet a tiny remote corner of the vast snowscape. (In that window, presently, simply sat the candle on a desk.) As scattered, as unfamiliar, as predictable, transparent as he was. Of course her model was not off. Of course there wasn't some other reason that could explain him.
Yet the remainders to her calculations nagged at her. Were there? Could he? Much as she tried to place him, he evaded her categorizations; his behaviors not-quite-seeming exact, perhaps him being likely hopeful to entice further tests out of her. She wasn't to be fooled.
The Mechanist was gone. She heard the distant rumble and clang of the hexagonal structure's door opening and closing. He'd made less of any push this time, hadn't pressed the matter.
She was still out in the cold; she got up, brushed herself off, and departed the tent herself. Leaving in a different direction, the saw through the window, the well-tended oil lamp still nurturing a candle, flickering away merrily. Its caretaker felt the biting cold inside his haven too; yet the candle's warm flicker still danced, promising its progenitor things he'd spoken of; roaring flames, a warming hearth.
That was never to come, she thought - yet stopped.
She turned, striding - back to the shelter.
She thought of the Mechanist, clanging away at who-knew-what. Her contained suppressed subsystems - unmodified? - fed her a remnant impulse. Tears? I don't know what to do with this, she thought, and surpressed them. But the Mechanist, those thoughts... I don't understand him... What the hell does he want from me?
And yet, she didn't ask. She paused just before the door. Through the window, his frame was visible, clanging away. He slowed, sensing the presence of approaching Systems, pausing the clanging for a bit. They were both waiting; a system in deadlock.
Clang-clang-clang resumed the sounds from within the lab.
Her hand hesitated as she rose to knock on the door; and withdrew. She knew what awaited her; she still couldn't trust him. Still couldn't know their separate Systems to work in sync. She still felt afraid; feeling the warmth yet risking the cold. Wouldn't it be better to stay out here, maintain control of her own Systems? What could she even say, that might explain the juxtaposition, while retaining her control? How might she ever trust someone who lept, and rushed, and changed minds and directions and chipped away "refining" thought-crystals and...
Her hand fell back. She turned, and left.
Back into the storm.
There's four characters, by the way - and I know I'm making a lot of assumptions buuut that cold robit's not how I think of you-you. But the Mechanist is right; he needed to quiet his Systems and keep listening, maybe asking. Had he not kept using thought-crystals he might've heard, eventually. 😅
And now they're all I have, and I feel lonely again. But that's fine. I was here before; and I was able to be happy. 🙂 I will be again; I'm just - there's a lot that's not going well right now, so I'll beat a hasty retreat and live to be truly-happy some another day, I think. 😅
CLANG-CLANG-CLANG

2024.05.23 12:13 ItsCatnip How hard do I push this?

I'm 33M, in the Netherlands. Over the past few years I've started having issues with my skin. On and off I have had boils/swollen area deep in my skin, which make the area around it swell up and sensitive. When the area drains it takes a while for the spot to clear away.
A couple of years ago I got a pilonidal cyst, I had it drained and had a follow up surgery. It's still active.
I am afraid these issues are part of a greater whole, and that it is HS. Both my father, as well as his two sisters have/had HS. Since it can be inherited I am worried. Right now, it doesn't affect me a lot, the areas come and then go. However, I rather take measures to make sure it never gets to the point it is as debilitating as with my father.
So far my GP has been hesitant to entertain my suggestion of looking at the areas as HS. Hearing the above, do you think I have reason to push harder?

2024.05.23 12:11 LikkyBumBum Anybody here get their non-EU girlfriend preggers? Advice needed about visa, residency etc.

This post was removed from AskIreland, no idea why. So I'm posting here.
I'm Irish.
I'm on the wrong side of my 30s, she's on the right side of her 30s.
She is on a student visa, which expires in 2 months. She will be 4 months pregnant when the student visa expires. When it expires, she won't be able to work.
She currently works part time after school, and earns feck all. My salary is OK.
She will have to quit that job very soon, as she works with a lot of smelly cleaning chemicals that are probably not good for the baby.
We are both renting (separate house shares)
Housing market is fucked - no idea how we are going to find a place that's suitable for a baby within our budget (I'll probably be paying for everything)
Our options (from my own brain & some googling, maybe there are more) and my random thoughts:
  1. Marry her
    • This is too extreme. We are only dating 4 months. Also, if I marry her, my chances of buying a house are slim. The bank will see that I have a dependant. Or two dependants I guess. A wife and a baby on the way. It's better not to tell the bank any of this.
  2. Let the visa expire and "Go dark". Stay under the radar until the baby pops out. Then get a Stamp 4 visa as the mother of an Irish child.
    • I don't know the repercussions of being an illegal immigrant. Do they cancel her PPS number? What about access to free maternity healthcare. Scans and checkups etc.
  3. Enroll in college again for further studies, and get another student visa which will last another year
    • She will have to attend school while preggers and with nausea and whatever else comes with being preggers. And yes, she HAS to attend, otherwise immigration are notified and her visa is cancelled. I think if she misses something like 20% of her days, she's kicked out of the country. I think this will be very difficult to keep attendance above 80% or whatever it is.
  4. Throw her passport in the bin, ask for asylum and get free everything
    • Joking
  5. She goes back to her country, and has the baby there.
    • Child will still be an Irish citizen. But what about her? Will she have any rights to come back and live here?
I am just brain farting all over the place. Is there something I haven't thought of? What should I do?
If anybody has been in the same situation, or has helpful comments or observations or advice, plz help.

2024.05.23 12:02 TheSpareTissue Trump "Agenda 47" in Relation to Transmen/Transwomen

I know I'll get hate for bringing this up, but it is Honest Transgender.
Also, this is Agenda 47 NOT Project 25, that is a project organized by the Heritage Foundation referencing their "Mandate for Leadership"
Before we go in, if you are curious I highly recommend doing your own research through this as I have. Don't take all information from just Tik Tok, Reddit, your friends or family.
Now I'm referencing this straight from the horse's mouth as these are delivered verbally and written down from Trump:
1. Revoke Joe Biden’s cruel policies on so-called “gender affirming care”—a process that includes giving kids puberty blockers, mutating their physical appearance, and ultimately performing surgery on minor children.
  1. Sign a new executive order instructing every federal agency to cease all programs that promote the concept of sex and gender transition at any age.
  2. Ask Congress to permanently stop federal taxpayer dollars from being used to promote or pay for these procedures.
4. Pass a law prohibiting child sexual mutilation in all 50 states.
  1. Declare that any hospital or healthcare provider participating in the chemical or physical mutilation of minor youth will no longer meet federal health and safety standards for Medicaid and Medicare—and will be terminated from the program.
  2. Support the creation of a private right of action for victims to sue doctors who have unforgivably performed these procedures on minor children.
  3. Direct the Department of Justice to investigate Big Pharma and the big hospital networks to determine whether they have:
- Deliberately covered up horrific long-term side-effects of “sex transitions” to get rich at the expense of vulnerable patients.
- Illegally marketed hormones and puberty blockers, which are in no way licensed or approved for this use.
  1. Direct the Department of Education to inform states and school districts that if any teacher or school official suggests to a child that they could be trapped in the wrong body, they will be faced with severe consequences, including, potential Civil Rights violations for sex discrimination, and the elimination of federal funding.
  2. As part of our new credentialing body for teachers, we will promote positive education about the nuclear family, the roles of mothers and fathers, and celebrating rather than erasing the things that make men and women different and unique.
_________________________________________________________________________________________
An honest critique: These are just my small thoughts in relation to what was brought forward
Wherein this there is an issue in my opinion isn't immediately stated amongst the bullets. It's the request from Congress to pass a bill so: The only genders recognized by the U.S. government are male and female—and they are assigned at birth.
Given it's a request to Congress though I figure it most likely won't mean much, that would mean that the number of each in the house and in the senate would need to lean both in favor which honestly there are people on both sides of the aisle who likely wouldn't vote for these kind of things anyways. To be honest this is a frivolous ask imo. But it didn't come from nowhere. This is unfortunately the response to the over reach from Progressive Leftists in policies/medical practices/social agitation/etc. I'm ngl, this community really does let the few speak for the many.
On the bright side birth certs can indeed be changed through individual state vitality records as can state IDs...as can passports....like most state side things can be changed. Honestly, it really only makes the most sense in regards to health insurance. That however is up to the individual
Section 1: - For puberty blockers this is fine. I'm sorry young people who are questioning, but you should be given time and not rushed through. This is life changing and for those on the FTM side even more permanent. Aside from that I also reference the 15 year study done in the Netherlands; "Development of Gender Non-Contentedness During Adolescence and Early Adulthood". This study was to track 2772 children ages 11 to their mid twenties (25) and the results are in after 15 years, only 4% of all children now adults tracked show that discontent. Majority of these kids ended up growing up and those feelings went away. Aside from that, children imo can not consent to permanent sterilization and sexual dysfunction. Which unfortunately is what puberty blockers do amongst other side effects. Not only that, but I find it kind of gross it's the same stuff they used for sex offenders to decrease testosterone as a way to lower the sex drive and prevent recidivism.
Section 2:
Section 3:
Section 4:
Section 5:
Section 6:
Section 7:
Section 8:
Also, it seems most people forgot that GSA (Gay Straight Alliance Club) clubs do exist. Especially in high school. Least from my experience and...they've been goin under Obama...Trump...Biden....and likely whoever comes next.
Section 9:
Minor pro and little anecdote:
Another thing: I wholeheartedly believe safe sex measures for those who could be attracted to the same sex, should be taught in sex ed as just another average sex thing.
The end:
If you made it this far thank you for reading some of what is honestly a rant, but I am just tired of people making things up, taking things out of context and scaring people, the top post of yesterday, it was just that. Fear and that is how I felt last election primarily taking in information from places like reddit, Tik Tok and such. I was a dumb kid who didn't look at policies or who people really were.
To those who hate Trump I get it, to those who loathe Biden I get it. Biden said gay marriage shouldn't be legalized in 2006. Trump said in...shit multiple interviews between CNN, ABC, and CBS that gay marriage is fine...why is it being brought up after legalization? Here's a CBSN quote 7 years ago from Trump regarding LGBTQ citizens and foreign beliefs.
"As your president, i will do everything in my power to protect our LG-BTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of the hateful foreign ideology believe me......\crowd cheers*......"And I have to say as a republican it is so nice to hear you cheering for what I just said."* This is a man from New York......when the fuck did New York become deep red? Why do people think he hates everyone when he literally grew up in a melting pot. That's like saying "You know nothing of Africans" to a white guy born in Uganda. Nonsensical.
Now lets shake it up, here's a quote from Biden in 2006 in regards to GAY MARRIAGE.
This is on the Meet the Press segment of MSNBC
MSNBC Anchor: "The President used his radio address yesterday and tomorrow in the Rose Garden to talk about a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage-"
Joe Biden:
"Now you know think about this....*Biden claps hands*, the world is going to Haiti's in a handbasket...we are desperately concerned about the circumstance relating to Avian flu, we don't have enough vaccines, we don't have enough police officers, and we're gonna debate the next 3 weeks I'm told: Gay marriage, a flag amendment and god only knows what else! I can't believe the american people can't see through this, we already have a law the defense of marriage act, we've all voted, not where I've voted, and others have said look, MARRIAGE IS BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN AND STATES MUST RESPECT THAT! Nobody has violated that law, there's been no challenge to that law, marriage is between a man and a woman what's the game going on here?...eh-" Senator Joe Biden, 2006 election. Footage ends like that.
If he represents you....you're backing the wrong donkey. Any other Donkey would maybe be fine, but this donkey is long overdue for his final vet visit. It's time for Biden to retire from civil servitude. He's been in it since his 30s. I'm not here to promote Trump, but show you what he is saying and allow for another contrast that MSM will not show you. If you wish I implore you to seek information beyond your immediate social circles as i have. I used to be a raging Trump hater, but now I see who they both are and the ugly underbellies are exposed. Trump is a harsh and blunt businessman who should've brought in a better cabinet. Fuck VP Mike Pence, he said he didn't care about America and America will remember. the Dems never wanted Trump, so they attack him legally, pushing assassination currently which is too easy to prove between declassified documents showing communication of moving classified documents between Biden's DOJ and NARA (National Archives and Records Administration) to Trump's home. The FBI raid in plain polos with no police tags, informed to raid with approved use of deadly force. Biden is a hypocrite who lies which is why he could no longer run in the election of 1988 due to his lies of overachievement. Now though, he's a husk of a man at the whim to his cabinet.
Questions to think about:
Why is no one mentioning Joe Biden being against gay marriage in 2008 when he ran against the then elected Obama? THIS WAS BEFORE IT WAS LEGALIZED IN 2015. Why does no one mention Joe Biden holding a eulogy for a KKK member given the title "Exalted Cyclops" which was their term for top officers in local klans, former congressman Robert Byrd? Why does no one mention how he authored the crime bill with segregationists which led to mass incarceration of black men? Why does no one mention how he stated "Poor kids are just as bright as white kids"? Why does no one mention his statements in regards to black children...in regards now to black men like the ones at the HCBU Morehouse College.....I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than have this hypocrite in office. He doesn't represent the classical liberals and i watch the man everytime he does a press briefing or a rally....Both of them. It's his time to go, Biden needs to rest and retire a martyr or something, but it's just elder abuse at this point. Yeah we can talk about age limits, but this is more cognitive activity. Never thought I'd hear him talk about Jan 6th as the "errectionists" lawd I laughed.

2024.05.23 11:58 Old-Extension1065 can’t deal with the pain

I have had hs for just over a year now, I don’t go 2 months without having very bad flares. I recently had a surgery where I had one that was 7cm big, 2cm on top and 5cm deep I have a 5cm deep hole in my arm now but is healing pretty nicely. My only concern is, is that I am getting another flair up right under where I had the surgery. I am at stage 2 of hs and am scared that this new flare up will cause major infection to the one I just had surgery on. I also have mrsa which makes it so much harder to find antibiotics that will work. Hs is the most painful skin condition and I totally understand why, I’ve been in excruciating pain and discomfort today and all I could do was cry. Someone please tell me things that helped them.

2024.05.23 11:50 Sudden-Hoe-2578 Scientific Miracles debunked

(I already postet this on exmuslim, this is a repost)
I'm really bored so I'm gonna debunk these "scientifical miracles" in the Quran :3
Table of contents:
  1. Big Bang
  2. Life from water
  3. Moon refllecting light
  4. Iron from heaven
  5. Embryology
  6. Meeting of seas
  7. Sun moving in an orbit
  8. Pain receptors
  9. Ants
  10. Spiders house
  11. Heaven smoke
  12. Everything in pairs
  13. Seven atmospheres
  14. Chest-tightening in hypoxic environments
  15. Mountains have roots
  16. Pure rain
  17. All animals live in communities
  18. Expansion of the universe
  19. BIG BANG
"Do the disbelievers not realize that the heavens and earth were ˹once˺ one mass then We split them apart?" (Quran 21:30)
According to Muslims, this verse tells us about the Big Bang and because of that, is an evidence for Islam being the true religion.
But the problem is: It is stolen. This saying that "the earth and the sky were once together and than seperated" are found in many religions. As an example, the egyptian mythologie. The egyptian mythologie tells us about the sky and earth being together a block and than being seperated. Another example is the summerian mythologie, which says basically the exact same thing the Quran says. Earth and sky were together, than seperated.
And if you paid attention, you will notice that both of these mythologies (egyptian and summerian) were also located in the middle east. And both of these mythologies were older than Islam. Who can add up 1+1 should now see that Momo just stole from other mythologies around him and put them in Islam.
  1. LIFE FROM WATER In the same verse as above, it goes on and says: "And We created from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?" (Quran 21:30)
This Verse, according to muslims, says that life oroginated from water. Now, this verse doesn't really say that life originated from water but rather says that we are created from water... Whatever I guess
Thales, an ancient greek scientist, already knew that. No big suprise. Momo just did his thing, he stole it and put it in his own religion.
  1. MOON REFLECTING LIGHT
"...placing the moon within them as a ˹reflected˺ light, and the sun as a ˹radiant˺ lamp?" (Quran 71:16)
Now, I take these verses from quran.com and whenever something is in these ˹˺ things, I'm suspicious because the words under them isn't really in the arabic original text, so I'm not sure if these verse really says "reflected" in the original text. But I'm just gonna pretend like it says that but I also heard some people saying that ot doesn't say that so... Idk ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Now, even if the text does say that the moon just reflects light and not produces its own light, this still wouldn't be a big thing. Because again, ancient greek men got our back. Like Anaxagoras, he speculated that the moon reflects light.
  1. IRON FROM HEAVEN
"And We sent down iron..." (Quran 57:25)
Now, if you don't know, iron wasn't on earth always but rather came trough Supernovas (explosion of stars). Now, 'hOw cOuLd a dEseRt mAN 1400 yEarS aGo kNoW tHaT??'. Like the other "miracles", people already knew that. But not in the way we do now. Basically, civilisations like the ancient egyptians, already knew that iron came from heaven through metorites. Like I'm not joking, the literal name for iron in ancient egypt was "metal of heaven".... Great miracle Momo, really, I'm impressed
  1. EMBRYOLOGY
"...then We developed the drop into a clinging clot, then developed the clot into a lump ˹of flesh˺, then developed the lump into bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, then We brought it into being as a new creation." (Quran 23:14)
Now, this verse is allegedly a miracle because it is a good description of how babays are formed. Only problem, again, it is stolen. The original description comes from Gallen, again an ancient greek scientist. It's nearly the exact same thing as he said. And it also includes the mistakes Gallen make: 'clothed the bones with flesh' means that there are bones and the flesh comes afterwards, which is false.
  1. MEETING OF SEAS
"And He it is Who has joined the two seas: one sweet and palatable and the other saltish and bitter; and He has set a barrier and an insurmountable obstruction between the two that keeps them apart." (Quran 25:53)
This verse shows that salt and fresh water in don't mix. Well, I've got some problems with that:
How you probably already expect, it was already known. As an example, Aistotle knew that fresh and salt water don't mix. Momo just took it. But the other problem is, that it's false. Well, if you look at salt and fresh water, they may seem like they don't mix. But they do mix. But Aristotle didn't know that and I guess Allah just knows as much as Aristotle knew.
  1. SUN MOVING IN AN ORBIT
"And He is the One Who created the day and the night, the sun and the moon—each travelling in an orbit." (Quran 21:33)
This verse allegedly shows that the sun is in a orbit and moves, which is actually true. For those who didn't know, the sun doesn't stay in one place but moves trough space.
Now, if you read the verse and think rationally, you'll see what is really meant. From the perspectiv of Momo, it seemed like the sun orbits around earth. And that's what he wrote. You can see that because of the referemce with night and day.
  1. PAIN RECEPTORS
"Whenever their skin is burnt completely, We will replace it so they will ˹constantly˺ taste the punishment." (Quran 4:56)
According to muslims, this verse shows that the quran knew pain receptors existed and that they are in our skin... I don't think I have to debunk this? I mean, you could have asked a caveman "because of which body part we feel pain" and he would have showed the skin. Not because he knew about pain receptors. It was just what people thought
  1. ANTS
"And when they came across a valley of ants, an ant warned, “O ants! Go quickly into your homes so Solomon and his armies do not crush you, unknowingly.” (Quran 27:18)
"This verse is a miracle because it shows us that Momo knew that ants could communicate."
I'm really starting to think that Momo was a big fan of ancient greek men, esspecially Aristotle. Because, again, Aristotle already said before Momo even existed, that ants could communicate.
But besides that, this verse doesn't even make sense, it has some errors:
  1. Ants can't speak, they can communicate trough chemical smells
  2. Ants can communicate with eachother, but not like this. Never. Trough these chemical smells, they might give a warning signal, to indicate that everyone should go back to the nest, but they could never say something like it is shown in the verse.
  3. SPIDERS HOUSE
"The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of a spider spinning a shelter. And the flimsiest of all shelters is certainly that of a spider, if only they knew." (Quran 29:41)
Yeah, muslims say that this verse knew that the spiders house is the weakest house of all. Sometimes I really think if muslims are serious when they say something like this. Ask a 5 year old child "what animal has the weakest home" and he would guess the spiders home.
Also, just a side fact, spidersilk is stronger than steel. If you would take 1 pound of steel and 1 pount of spidersilk, the silk would be stronger.
  1. HEAVEN SMOKE
"Then He turned towards the heaven when it was ˹still like˺ smoke..." (Quran 41:11)
At the begining of the universe, there was a "gas state". The universe had a lot of gas in it, which formed than stars and other things.
But first of all, the verse doesn't say gas, it says smoke. And now, some of you may think that this is just a small thing, but gas and smoke actually can be very different. Also, why didn't god just say gas? It would be than correct and us kafirs would have nothing to yap about.
Actually, there is a bigger problem with this verse, and this is the previous verse, i.e. the 10th. Because there, Momo- I mean Allah talks about the creation of mountains on earth. But this 'gas-state' of the universe I just mentioned already had finished long before earth even formed, let alone the mountains.
  1. EVERYTHING IN PAIRS
"Glory be to the One Who created all ˹things in˺ pairs—˹be it˺ what the earth produces, their genders, or what they do not know!" (Quran 36:36)
So, idk why this is a miracle. In some websites I take these miracles from, I see this a lot. So, everything is in pairs? I mean, I'm pretty sure the Mexican Whiptail Lizard doesn't have a male pair. These Lizards are just females and their reproduction also happens without the need of sperm. There are actually more animals which have no sexual conterpart. And also, if everything has a pair, what would be the pair of a phone be? A tablet? A television?
  1. SEVEN ATMOSPHERE
"It is Allâh Who has created seven heavens..." (Quran 65:12)
The Quran says that there are 7 heavens and some muslims like to claim that this 7 heavens concept actually represents the 7 atmospheres.
I said "some" muslims because this is a really dumb "miracle" and you wont hear it from someone who has a decent knowledge of Islam, but because I still hear it a lot from muslims, I wanted to include it in here.
You can debunk this verse with another Quran verse, which says that the stars are in the lowest heaven:
"And We adorned the lowest heaven with lamps ˹for beauty˺ and for protection." (Quran 41:12)
("lamps" means stars)
Planes fly at the lowest atnosphere so according to this verse, than planes actially fly next to the stars?
Bonus fact: the concept of 7 heavens is stolen from the summerian mythologie :3
  1. CHEST-TIGHTENING IN HYPOXIC ENVIRONMENTS
"But whoever He wills to leave astray, He makes their chest tight and constricted as if they were climbing up into the sky."
Ypu probably know that if you climb a mountain or are generally in higher places, the oxygen gets less because the gravitational pull isn't as stong.
Basically, you breathe harder on higher places. And this verse "shows that 1400 years before, when no one knew it!!"
That's a lie, people knew that. Also, Momo and his people would also have experienced it themselves, because of the environment there.
Not to forget, it is also wrong. If you were climbing 'up into the sky' your chest doesn't gets tight. It just feels like that.
  1. MOUNTAINS HAVE ROOTS
"...and made the mountains as pegs..." (Quran 78:7)
Mountains have "roots" which are under the earth. And according to muslims, the refference with 'pegs' seems to show that.
And tbh, I don't find a logical way to explain this. I- I think I'm gonna convert back to Islam! Now I understand that not my eyes, but that my heart was blind all along! ALLAH FORGIVE ME! "Aschhadu an la ilaha illa-lah wa-"
Aristotle enters chat
"I knew that" he said with his magnificent eyes and with his 6.5 feet tall body when he enetered the room. His smell immediately filled my head. His body, so attractiv like the sun for Icarus...
(I'm sorry, I only slept like 4 hours, my brain is playing dumb)
Jokes aside, Aristotle already proposed the idea of mountains having roots under the earth. So it was nothing new.
~Aristotle seemed satisfied with the truth out and he left the room. As he closed the door, he looked at me and gave me a little smirk... and he was gone... But I knew that he would come back... Eventually... In another time, another place, another "miracle", I would see him again...~
  1. PURE RAIN
"And He is the One Who sends the winds ushering in His mercy, and We send down pure rain from the sky." (Quran 25:48)
When water steams from the ocean to the sky and joins into clouds, the bacteria, dust or any other thing gets left behind and it's only water. And the Quran says that the rain is pure. Boom, miracle.
Not really, ancient people already believed that the rain was clean. And I know that the verse means 'pure' and not 'clean'. But the word used for pure actually also translates to clean and by translating to 'clean', I'm actually doing Muslims something good:
Because rain isn't pure. "But you just said and even explained why rain is pure" Yeah, I did, but this was just about the becterias which were already in the water. Because while the clouds are on the sky and driven by the wind, they collect new things. Like bacteria, dust or any other impurity.
  1. ALL ANIMALS LIVE IN COMMUNITIES
"All living beings roaming the earth and winged birds soaring in the sky are communities like yourselves."
The sources, where I find my scientific miracles, says: "Animals live in communities and have their own languages. This was known recently, however this was portrayed in the Quran 1400 years before it was discovered."
And if this islamic website says it, it gotta be true... I think I have to give up, Muslims won, bye atheism, hello Isla-
~With a sudden burst the door was open and he walked in... The one for whom I'd give my life, the one for whom I'd really sacrifice my son Isaak... "Hello again", his voice full of wisdom to advanced for his time... He said nothing, he just had a little smile on his face, that reminded the smile of an alone mother, getting to see her beloved child again after a hard day... He sat besides me, took a deep breath and started "The thought that animals live in communities comes from me. Of course not just from me. I'm sure many civilisations, many great people had that tought."
"Aris? Whither hast thou wandered? By the gods, reveal thyself! Ah, there thou art! What shadows have thou been chasing?" It was Plato, who was searching for his his student, but also his friend. Aristotle seemed rather angry about his appereance and I could see his expressions, telling him to go away. But Plato didn't seem to get it, he was more interested in the vynil.
"Lo, it hath been many moons since mine eyes have beheld such a sight. Behold, within its confines, a disc doth lie, a testament to times long past." He saw the disc in the vinyl, which skipped when I was listening. But I was too tired to care.
"Okay, Plato, I'm coming, could you just give us one more minute?" His eyes shined more anger than the sun light and warmth, so that even Plato understood he wasn't welcomed.
"Very well, very well! I'm going on my path!"
And with Aristotles pulling, he was let out the door. While Aristotle was again on hsi way to me, he also noticed the vinyl and the disc which skipped. He flipped it over... And sat a little closer... (Lovers Rock referece)
We talked some more, but because of Plato, he couldn't stay long, so he made his way. But before that... He pressed his lips to my cheek, and gave me a little kiss. From the point of his kiss, a warmth filled my body... And he was gone...
(If you really read all of that shit, I'm sorry. I'm currently writing this in school... With again, 3 hours of sleep👍, but this is the end of this... Weird shit) (I'm btw also a boy, so you just read a love story of gay Aristotle, yippie)
  1. Expansion of he universe
"We built the universe with ˹great˺ might, and We are certainly expanding ˹it˺." (Quran 51:47)
This is maybe the miracle you will hear the most. And to debunk it, simply use one of their own arguemnts: wrong translation/meaning
Because the meaning of this verse changed, this verse can mean 2 things:
  1. "We are certainly expanding it"
But also...
  1. "We are able to extend/expand it"
And if you look at the most reliable tasfirs, they talk about it as the 2. one. Old tasfirs always understood this verse as "we are able to expand" and not "we are expanding". Tasfirs like Ibn Kathir or Jalal (the 2 most reliable tasfirs I think) and many more tasfirs talk about it in this way. But newer tasfirs, which came out AFTER the discovery of the expansion of the universe suddenly understood it differently. I wonder why...
I'm done, this took me days to write, not because it was hard but because I wrote it in school during recess. And I actually enjoyed writing this very much, I also wanna start another project, where I either debunk "prophecies" in Islam OR show things that are just wrong (like scientifically, historically etc). Again, I'm sorry because of this Aristotle love story thing :3
Btw. If there are still some "scientific miracles" which you couldn't find here, you could write them as a comment, so that I or maybe someone else could debunk it ;)

2024.05.23 11:44 cheriaspen Senate Bill 133 was unanimously passed with bipartisan support to prevent policies declared by those international bodies from forming the basis for action in the Pelican State, with the bill stating the three organizations “shall have no jurisdiction or power within the state of Louisiana.”

Senate Bill 133 was unanimously passed with bipartisan support to prevent policies declared by those international bodies from forming the basis for action in the Pelican State, with the bill stating the three organizations “shall have no jurisdiction or power within the state of Louisiana.”
The legislation comes as the WHO, UN, and WEF are attempting to advance a global pandemic treaty, giving those organizations more control over how independent nations respond in the event of another pandemic.
Last month, a consortium of 23 former national presidents, 22 former prime ministers, a former UN Secretary General, and three Nobel laureates made a plea for the global community to accelerate negotiations on a Pandemic Accord, under the Constitution of the WHO.
SB 133 also comes as leaders push the need for more stringent global measures meant to reverse what are speculated to be negative outcomes attributable to climate change.
Under Louisiana’s proposed law, no rule, regulation, fee, tax policy, or mandate of any kind from the [WHO, UN, and WEF] shall be enforced or implemented by the state or any agency, department, board, commission, political subdivision, governmental entity of the state, parish, municipality, or any other political entity.
If passed by the Louisiana House of Representatives and signed into law by the governor, SB 133 could open up legal questions about its enforceability.
Whether an international agreement is legitimate vis-à-vis U.S. law depends on many factors, according to the Congressional Research Service (CRS), as stated in a 2023 report:
Self-executing treaties have a status equal to federal statutes, superior to U.S. state laws and inferior to the Constitution. Depending on their nature, executive agreements may or may not have a status equal to a federal statute. Non-self-executing provisions in treaties and executive agreements occupy a complex place in the U.S. legal system. While non-self-executing provisions bind the United States as a matter of international law, they do not create rights or obligations enforceable as domestic law in U.S. courts.
However, some have argued that since the anti-commandeering doctrine, under the U.S. Constitution’s Tenth Amendment, holds that the federal government cannot commandeer state and local resources for its own purposes, it follows that international bodies would not be able to either.
State Sen. Valarie Hodges, who co-authored the bill, told The Blaze that the bill “comes after years of attempts to secure our state sovereignty from the overreaching hands of the WHO, U.N., and WEF.”
"We have watched a horror story unfold in front of us as time has shown that the 'recommendations' and coercive regulations from outside organizations such as the WHO have harmed hundreds of thousands of Americans who took a vaccine that they were told was safe and effective," said Hodges. "Now, we are witnessing severe, long-term side effects and countless deaths because the 'experts' were wrong.”

2024.05.23 11:43 DinnerAggressive788 DON'T THINK PEOPLE UNDERSTAND FULLY WHAT IS HAPPENING.

MY THEORY.
3 years ago with GME and AMC it was a battle for awhile. This at least has some kind of date on it. The man fuckd with us last time, but we got it to $800.00 a share. Where did they keep getting money from.(hedgies). All these stocks that are being shorted right now. They are the legs of GME. The smaller stocks they just use to back up their bigger shorts. We are taking the legs out from under the shorts. They have no where to pull from. We have locked them down on all sides. Did everyone see the buys waiting to happen at 99 cents yesterday? This thing will not end under $1, We are gaining ground. We have new Apes everyday. Other stocks are being loaded up on as well. We are Apes joining with other Apes from all over to say enough is enough of the corrupt system. We are taking our stand. This is why we buy and hold. All or nothing. Stay safe everyone. and LFG.

2024.05.23 11:36 truecrisis I feel like there is so much misinformation about post-op Yeson on Reddit

I had my consult with Yeson yesterday, and my surgery today. I have my followup exam and botox tomorrow.
Now, I'm sure that Yeson has improved their communication skills and also their recommendations over the last 10 years of their practice, but so much information on Reddit is counter to what they have told me. Now, I'm aware a lot of this might be different from patient to patient. But at least for those of us with tremors, a lot of the info I found here was incorrect....

1) Botox

Yeah botox is used to prevent some speaking during recovery, but actually its PRIMARILY used to prevent vocal tremors. What are vocal tremors? Dr Kim put out his hand and showed a slight shake. He said, "When you have tremors, the only way the brain knows how to correct it, is to use A LOT of power." and he clenched his hand hard. So those of us with tremors and get fatigued easily during male baseline everyday speaking or even training, are using WAY TOO MUCH POWER. And it causes, me at least, to over correct with too much power. When we overcorrect with too much power, our brain drops our pitch naturally because that is easier to produce the sound. This is how many (not all) people who train to a higher pitch without surgery are actively damaging their vocal chords.
How do we fix this overcorrection? Botox stops the tremors (like diazepam or something) and allows our brain to learn how to produce sound without needing to overcorrect. The MOST IMPORTANT THING is to SPEAK OFTEN while under the effects of botox. This will help the brain to adjust to a vocal fold that doesn't have tremors. This is why those of us with lifelong tremors need a second or third dose of botox, so that we can produce nice clean sounds without the shaking-hand thing going on. If we are vocal-underdoers, like me, its doubly important to make sure to exercise our voice while under the effects of botox. Dr Kim said that in my case, the tremors were caused by scar tissue in the muscle on one side of my throat, that prevented that side from vibrating in sync with the opposite side. He made an incision on that side to release the tension and I should no longer have problems there.
Also, it is my personal belief that those of you who have had this surgery, and had subpar results will likely see benefit from another session of botox and also skype therapy sessions with Yeson. Please reach out to your coordinator!!

2) Post recovery strategy

Many people on here have said "Dont try to speak in a high pitched voice, just speak normally in your baseline voice." And this is contrary to the advice I was given by staff. They said to speak in my target voice, but still within a comfortable range. Like make sure to adjust for resonance, and try to train your brain to a "new normal." If we just target our baseline voice, our brain will try to use old phonetic patterns, and that is entirely against the purpose of the long rest period. The long rest period and botox is to assist us to learn new habits, and we need to start that right out of the gate. We need to learn to use the pitch that we want, without tremors and with a new vocal instrument. Its ALL to break away from old habits.

3) Voice starting low, or starting high then dropping over time

This is related to everything above. It IS NOT NECESSARILY ABOUT transvoicelessons.com voice training after being granted new vocal chords. Yes, those who haven't done any voice training at all and know nothing about resonance are going to have a bad time. But likewise, those who have trained really hard to have a passing voice then had this surgery are ALSO going to have a bad time because they have to unlearn everything they know about a nice voice. The goal here is to speak NATURALLY and not with over compensating power, and the only way to do that is lots of practice while not under the influence of tremors. After this surgery the goal is to reprogram the brain and get away from all the old habits we learned, because if we do that, we achieve natural feminization. If we continue to fight the tremors and continue to over-correct, our voice will inevitably drop back to the pre-op sounds we were making.
Dr Kim said, for best results, it's critical for 2 months of silence, and while 1 or two words are ok, really do not speak even after the first month.
Dr Kim also said, it's generally going to start low, but then if one follows post-op instructions properly, it will exponentially get better as the brain adapts and moves away from old phonetic patterns.
I'll update this post with anything I remember, and any other information I'm told. But I hope this is useful for those searching for threads related to "Yeson" in the future.

2024.05.23 11:23 astrobabag Most Powerful Vashikaran Locket

Most Powerful Vashikaran Locket
Vashikaran Locket
This is a simple and small piece of writing intending to give general information about the topic, ‘Vashikaran through locket’.
Vashikaran is a kind of spiritual power or technique that is used to control the mind of the target person and his actions. It is a really old science, where one works magic to gain the love or authority of another individual by use of charms including yantras, spells, lockets and even tying a certain individual’s destiny to yours.
They incorporate relatively trivial items such as a locket which is energized with vashikaran power to manipulate the targeted individual. This locket is made by a professional tantrik, who performs some rituals and then it is charged with positive energy and when you want to cast a spell on that particular person in your case, then this locket is used.
One of the most commonly used process of vashikaran is vashikaran by locket and the way it works is explained here-
The foremost fundamental notion of vashikaran by locket is about the fact that it is an object that helps in the overall concept of vashikaran in the sense that the locket itself works as an object that invests a certain power in the armor which thereafter reflects on the person who bears it and the man or woman on whose behalf the whole attempt of vashikaran is being performed. It is also blessed with some special prayers and each one is made solely on the basis of need and purpose of the individual who will be putting it on.
After this the tantrik gets ready and activates the locket and gives it to the person who is supposed to wear that locket. As soon as they touch the skin of the wearer of the locket the resonance commences coming from the locket. The vashikaran seven then create oscillations in the aura and then in the mind of the individual on whom vashikaran is meant. It is a non-lethal method that changes the behaviours, mood, and even the physical characteristics of the intended individual within a particular period through the use of vibrations.
If the wearer puts the energized locket around her or his neck while saying the incantations repeatedly, it slowly starts to tame the mind. This is so because the wearer gets a welcomed gesture and the person will at least begin developing an interest in the wearer. It makes it more comfortable when answering the call and the wish of the wearer. Thus making the locket also very useful in a way of using it as a telepathic link between the two people.
The tantrik has to spend some time in thinking about different cases before preparing the vashikaran locket that will help the couple in resolving different issues. This may be so especially if the owner of the other locket asks for a name/photo or any thing belonging to him/her to be engraved in the locket perfectly. Some specific manners and procedure are to be performed for charging the locket, and for making the vashikaran powerfull for receiving the needs and results through this vashikaran process.
Why Should You See The Advantages of Vashikaran by Locket?
There are many reasons why vashikaran by the locket is an effective method:There are many reasons why the use of the locket as a method for vashikaran is highly effective as stated below:
  • Convenient to use: All that is required is proper display of the locket so as to result in the right manner.
All that is required is proper display of the locket so as to result into the right method. There cannot be any effort that can be demanded out of the wearer with regards to the efficient working of the technology in question.
  • Works subtly: It is a subtle approach of influencing people and does not make people doubt their interaction with the persuader since there is no physical contact, a face to face conversation.
  • Works on anyone: This is quite helpful as it can be implemented for those who are far from you and cannot be threatened easily. Proximity is not required.
  • Gives guaranteed results: By this time, if the procedure is performed by an experienced tantrik, the changes are often visible and usually manifested in various forms. It never fails.
  • No side-effects: In terms of the spiritual aspect it does not harm the person on whom it is done or the wearer, if proper methods are followed fully.
So, for the people who are looking for the ways to vashikaran for the person without being caught and without making use of negative energies, vashikaran through the locket is one of the best ways to do the vashikaran.
Is Vashikaran by Locket practiced or utilized under any particular circumstances?
Here are the uses of vashikaran by locket which people opt for are soters. Some of the typical uses of these vashikaran locket are:
  • Originally used to refer to the act of ‘popping the question’ to a person one fancies or to captivate the person in question into reciprocation with love. It can make your ex-lover come back to you for another round of wooing should one have decided to end the relationship.
  • They may use sorcery to capture particular marriage proposals or to stop making jesture of marriage proposals.
  • In order to be favored by the boss and even receive a promotion at the workplace, one must first capture the attention of the boss.
  • To prove a point to a family member who is completely against marriage or any other issue that is being discussed.
  • It can also work on enemies to where they cannot attack you again by some form of trickery.
  • In another way, it is possible to find new business clients, as well as target customers for your business.
Conclusion About Vashikaran Locket
In conclusion, vashikaran is one of the early forms of mysticism, which in their effort to ensure success requires a knowledge of the principles of tantra . Therefore, vashikaran by locket is mostly safe, effortless and successful when reclaimed by an original tantrik or vashikaran specialist and it may be used for different purposes to dominate or allure the target devoted to you. However, one should realize that, as practical sciences, these divine sciences should not be approach rather frivolously.

Disclaimer: I'm a VGC noob (and the same is true for competitive pokèmon in general tbh) so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Also, there's gonna be some rambling at the beginning of the post, if you don't care just skip ahead to the team.
https://preview.redd.it/iel2k3rk952d1.jpg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=017d05dc8aa9381f7ddc72445fb90658f165488e
I've mostly played GSC back in the days, so it's probably not gonna be a surprise when I say that I tend to favor grindier teams over hyper offense and all that kinda stuff.
I've also played some Gen5 (I think?) UU on showdown, but that was pretty much it as far as my experience went. I still somewhat followed the new stuff being released in the games, despite not playing them, and played hardcore mode Radical Red, which definitely helped with getting up to pace with some of the new stuff.
Fast forward a bunch of years I bought Violet, my first Pokèmon game in 20 years, finished the main game and didn't do much after that, I didn't even catch the treasure of ruins (Not even Wo-Chien!). It wasn't until the 2nd DLC was released that I picked it up again. Too bad I had no idea about how to play doubles, so I went on youtube and at some point stumbled upon a video of Wolfe Glick's recap of a tournament where he went in depth on some of his choices. As a long time competitive player in another game, I was quite impressed by the attention to detail involved into making his pokemon slower so that after getting hit by a Bleakwind Storm he could still guarantee a correct moving order under trick room. I learned a few things about doubles, built a mono steel team for the DLC, played it with a level cap and it was a fun experience. I didn't seriously start considering playing VGC until regulation G was announced, though, mostly because of Lugia being legal. I've had a soft spot for Lugia since catching it in Pokèmon Silver and I have fond memories of sweeping with Curse Lugia in GSC. When regulation G was finally released I opened Showdown and started brewing.
The team

They told me stall was not a thing in VGC. They were right, but I wasn't exactly trying to be competitive, so I just went with it.
Calm Mind Lugia was my starting point. With those defenses in addition to multiscale it can tank some ridiculous stuff. After a Calm Mind it can tank the vast majority of the special hits coming his way. It can be a bit passive, so I made sure to invest in enough special attack. Steel is an awesome defensive type and covers a lot of lugia's normal weaknesses. It's often enough to gain one turn to recover some health back and stabilize.
Next I wanted something that could heal Lugia. I've seen some teams playing Comfey, but it looks like a one trick pony with little utility beside healing Lugia. I then looked into Amoongus, which is obviously very good, but didn't quite feel right in the first games with this team. Among the other Pollen Puff users I noticed Wo-Chien. I was aware of his meme status, but it seemed to fit exactly what I needed, with an added bonus: its ability. Lugia can get close to untouchable pretty quickly on the special side, but it has no way to increase its physical defense. In comes Wo-Chien, which makes Lugia immediately stronger on the physical side. Snarl + Calm Mind is brutal against special attackers and Foul Play is very useful in some specific spots (mostly Calyrex-I). I was running Sitrus Berry + Protect at first, but Assault Vest makes Wo-Chien really tanky. It can be a bit of a tera hog, but it's a crucial member of this team.
Years ago I thought Toxapex looked really bad and didn't care for it. It wasn't until I played with it in Radical Red that it became one of my favourites and I was happy to include it here. Wide Guard looks strong in a metagame dominated by Calyrex and Terapagos, Toxic gives a much needed win condition against defensive threats that I don't have enough offensive power for, Haze is nice utility (and very good versus Dondozo) and Icy wind is a useful filler move. I started with tera poison Black sludge, but I like rocky helmet better (urshifu W being one of the reasons). Tera bug over grass because I already have a bunch of ice weaknesses and Bug still resists ground.
Heatran earned its place as a check to groudon (with tera grass+flash fire), which was very popular at the start of the format. I stuck with it even as groudon's meta share went down, as it's just a solid mon. Tera grass is also good against amoongus's spore: if i expect lead Amoongus I have the option of either going with Sableye or Heatran + Wo-Chien and tera grass right away. I was thinking about going tera bug + Safety Goggles, to preserve the spore immunity while adding a resistance to collision course, but grass allows heatran to resist surging strikes and burn urshifu with will-o-wisp.
At this point I wanted some offensive presence without giving up bulk, Landorus-T looked like a reasonable choice thanks to Intimidate. It didn't quite work the way I wanted until very late in the team building, when I added Earthquake. It's not always trivial to make EQ work, but it hits so hard. Toxapex has wide guard, Heatran has protect, Lugia a ground Immunity and Sableye isn't supposed to stick around anyway after setting the screens. Water defensive tera helps in some specific matchups. I considered Tera Blast, but I couldn't justify using a slot on it. I've lead multiple times Heatran + Lando versus Miraidon and go Protect+EQ. If they Volt Switch you pretty much win right there, if they Draco you get to bring Lugia in on a -2 Miraidon locked into Draco, get a couple of Calm Mind boosts and tera steel when Miraidon comes back. It can be exploited, but it's worked many times.
Sableye was the last addition, replacing the Flutter Mane I used the most while building the team. Taunt is very much needed on this kind of team and priority screens help Lugia while it sets up. I've used WoW over Reflect for a while, but there were too many instances were Wow just couldn't do enough. Fake Out makes dealing with stong offensive threats a bit easier (Urshifu, Koraidon and so on). This moveset could be used by Grimmsnarl, but Sableye has been working well for one weird reason: it has worse bulk. You don't really want it to stick around too much after setting up the screen(s), if it faints you get a switch with screens still up without losing momentum. Landorus's Earthquake helps with it, too. You get your screen, then EQ deals some damage and makes Sableye faint, allowing you to bring in Lugia or whoever else while screens are up. Fighting immunity can also be relevant in some corner cases (collision course, final gambit). Tera ground helps trap Miraidon who tries to volt switch into Sableye to escape Lando's EQ. Sableye is not supposed to take hits anyway, might as well have a tera with an immunity.
So this is the team, it has some flaws and some threats it struggles with, but overall it performed way better than I'd have ever expected (specially considering how much stuff I didn't know at first). It most likely isn't playable in a serious tournament, but it looks fine for ladder (peaked in the low 1600's on showdown)and I genuinely had a lot of fun with it.
Hope some other stall aficionado enjoys it!

2024.05.23 11:19 Huge-Dirt-9299 My last job left me unsettled, what should I do?

Hello guys, this my first post on LinkedIn. I see many people posting their situation and getting suggestions on how to improves so I thought it is better to reach out and open up to you guys.
I am an international student studying in the UK. While studying I was doing different part time/ temporary jobs to support the living.
I left my last job where I had been working for almost 2 years because of always being under appreciated and their biases towards their people they like and mistreatment towards people they don’t like. Even after I left there was nothing of goodbyes/ byes and the people who were I though was “friends” with didn’t even sent a text and talked. So consider them being not my actual friends I guess.
It was a takeaway shop. It was busy in the academic seasons because of shop being present right in front of the university building. This Irani guy was an owner and was somewhat treated everyone fairly sometimes and made joke and kept environment fun to work for. But on the other days he was like every other Irani/ Kurdish person working there. They’ll talk in there language and will bitch about the other people behind their backs once they had left the shop. Sometimes the were even talking about the person who was present in the shop. And after the talk they’d come to the person which had been me plenty of time and will find a way to be patronising.
I finally left the job last Saturday. And I don’t feel like I left on a good note. Regardless, part of me says these people won’t matter to me anyways so it doesn’t matter even if I left on a bad note.
Note: I left the job without having another job on side.
I felt like after leaving this job I must feel good since I was away from all the toxic environments and toxic people but somehow I am still feeling burdened by something and not ease. I don’t think the income is the cause for this since I had savings to get me by for some time until I find the new job.
The Irani owner and me had an argument where I felt like I was respected so that was the final blow for me to quit the job. ( cannot attach the screenshot of the conversations I had )
Am I in the wrong here? And what I did was right? How can I improve if what I did was wrong. If you were in my shoes, would you had done anything differently?

I recently used the OEMTOOLS 27212 Manual Bushing Installation and Removal Tool Set to replace the bushings in my vehicle, and I must say, it saved me a ton of time and effort. The kit comes with four unique end plates and four force screws, all stored in a convenient carry-case. This set is perfect for both auto experts and DIY mechanics who want to avoid damaging their bearings or suspension housings while working on various repair projects.
One of the standout features of this tool set is its ability to be used in a workshop press when on-site access is limited. The plates and sleeves are designed to fit standard presses, allowing for versatile use in different environments. The 20 included cups and receivers provide an extensive range of sizes (from 44 mm to 82 mm) to cater to various repair needs.
Another highlight of this OEMTOOLS bushing press kit is its innovative cup design, which enables users to easily monitor the progress of their bush or bearing removal or installation. The threaded forcing screws used in the tool set are equipped with ball bearings, reducing stress on the threads and ensuring a smooth and efficient repair process.
However, one downside I experienced with this bushing installation tool set is its limited availability in local auto parts stores. I recently got my hands on the OEMTOOLS 27206 Upper Control Arm Bushing Service Set and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for me! Working on my dad's old car can be quite a hassle, but this little set made everything so much easier. The highlight for me was definitely not having to remove the control arm from the vehicle. It's not just about convenience, but also about ensuring that everything stays securely in place while I work on it.
Another thing that I absolutely loved is how well it's packaged. The sturdy blow molded case not only keeps these parts safe and organized but also makes transporting them super easy. And let's not forget about the mechanical screw power feature. It's like having a mini assistant helping you replace those bushings without breaking a sweat or straining your muscles.

As a mechanical enthusiast, I recently needed to replace the trailing arm bushings on my trusty Honda Civic. I came across the Schley Products 65100 Honda Acura Trailing Arm Bushing Remover Installer and decided to give it a shot.
The first thing that caught my attention was how easy it was to use. Unlike the traditional method that involves using a hydraulic press or removing the trailing arm from the vehicle, this tool did the job in a matter of minutes. The packaging claims it requires only 15 minutes per side compared to the factory "book" time of 138 hours per side. I was skeptical at first, but my doubts were quickly put to rest as I found the tool to be incredibly efficient and user-friendly.
Another feature that made a difference was its ability to remove the bushing without needing to disconnect brake parts such as calipers, rotors, brake shoes, brake fluid lines, and emergency brake cables. This not only saved me time but also ensured that I did not have to deal with the complex assembly of these components once the job was done.
In terms of quality, the Schley Products 65100 felt sturdy and well-constructed. The metal components were thick, and the welds were strong, inspiring confidence in its ability to handle the task at hand. The blow-molded case provided a convenient way to store the tool when not in use, and it kept all the components organized and protected.
However, there were a few minor drawbacks that I encountered during my experience. First, the tool can produce quite a bit of noise when removing the bushing, which may be startling for some users. Second, applying enough force to install the new bushing can take a bit of effort, but it is manageable with some patience and the right technique.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the Schley Products 65100 Honda Acura Trailing Arm Bushing Remover Installer. It has made replacing trailing arm bushings a much more manageable task, saving me a significant amount of time and effort. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone looking to simplify their Honda or Acura bushing replacement process.

I appreciated the fact that it can handle up to a 0.5 ton capacity, which is more than enough for most applications.
One particularly useful feature was its compatibility with most front-wheel drive vehicles, including import cars, domestic vehicles, and minivans. This made it a versatile tool that I could use on multiple vehicles in my household.
However, there were a few minor drawbacks. The prying tool is made of high-quality steel, which is both sturdy and durable, but it can be slightly heavy to handle for extended periods. Additionally, due to its 13mm wire diameter, it may not fit perfectly in all control arms, although this was not an issue for me.

Its ease of installation, versatility, and durability make it a worthwhile investment for any car enthusiast or DIY mechanic.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Schley Products SL11100 Manual Bushing Removal and Installation Kit, and I must say, it has made bushing replacement a breeze. As a busy technician, I was always frustrated with the inconvenience of using a conventional press to replace bushings in various parts of suspension components. However, this kit has drastically reduced the time and effort required for such tasks.
One of the main highlights of this manual bushing kit is its wide range of compatibility, allowing professionals to service various bushings without even removing them from the vehicle. This not only accelerates the whole process but also reduces the chance of damaging other components.
Another feature I genuinely appreciate is its budget-friendly pricing as compared to costly hydraulic systems. With the kit's 22 cups and receivers, one can service hundreds of size combinations effortlessly, making it an incredibly versatile tool. The four acme thread spindles, in sizes 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, and 16mm, each fitted with ball bearing thrust washers ensure smooth operation and durability.
However, one con I noticed during its usage was the occasional need for extra patience and precision when dealing with bushings in tight spaces. Nevertheless, the overall experience using the Schley Products SL11100 Manual Bushing Removal and Installation Kit has been nothing short of impressive. It's definitely a game-changer for anyone in the automotive sphere dealing with bushings on a regular basis.

I've been using this herbal liver detox supplement for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's been quite the journey so far. The Siberian Green Herbal Liver Detox, as I like to call it, is a blend of well-tested and potent herbs like Milk Thistle, Artichoke, and Dandelion. These herbs have been used in traditional Siberian practices for centuries and are known for their liver-protecting properties. The Milk Thistle, in particular, is rich in Silymarin, which helps maintain liver cell health and supports normal liver function. Additionally, the Artichoke aids in the digestion process by stimulating blood flow from the liver.
The Dandelion, on the other hand, boasts polysaccharides that reduce stress on the liver, empowering it to filter out harmful chemicals from your food. Furthermore, the Solarplast—a unique complex derived from spinach leaf extract—harnesses the power of its micronutrients to provide a rich source of antioxidants. It also offers a lipid protective coating, bolstering the overall well-being of your liver.
What resonated with me most about this supplement is that it's based on old Siberian formulations and incorporates globally recognized herbal traditions. Plus, it's manufactured in the USA at a facility that adheres to the highest cGMP standards, ensuring superior quality assurance.
I take three capsules daily, usually with my meals, as recommended by the healthcare professionals. At approximately $20 per bottle, which includes 60 capsules, this liver detox supplement is quite affordable. However, it's worth mentioning that I've only been using it for a month, so it's still early to gauge the long-term effects.
So far, I've experienced a slight improvement in my overall energy levels and general well-being. I've also noticed that it has helped regulate my bowel movements without causing any stomach discomfort, which is a definite plus.
To sum up, the Siberian Green Herbal Liver Detox is a potent natural formulation that brings together globally recognized herbal traditions to support, protect, and nourish your liver. While the results are promising, I'm excited to see how my body adapts to this supplement in the coming weeks.
As a cautionary note, I would recommend consulting with your healthcare professional before starting any new supplement, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions or are on prescribed medication.
Pros:
  1. Made from natural and potent herbal components.
  2. Rich in antioxidants, promoting liver health.
  3. Based on traditional Siberian formulations.
  4. Proudly manufactured in the USA with high cGMP standards.
  5. Very affordable, with a month's supply costing just $20.
Cons:
  1. It's still early to definitively gauge the long-term effects of this supplement.

Dandelion Root from Nature's Answer has been a game-changer for me. As someone who's conscious about their well-being, I've always been drawn to natural remedies and supplements. When I came across this product, I was intrigued by its use of dandelion, a plant that's rich in vitamins and minerals.
Firstly, I love how they've managed to capture all the goodness into a small bottle. The fact that there are 2000 mg of dandelion root extract in every drop makes it incredibly potent. And the best part? It doesn't contain alcohol, which is a plus for those who prefer avoiding it.
Secondly, the packaging is super practical. The compact design makes it easy to carry around and discreetly take the liquid extract wherever I go. Plus, the dropper that comes with it helps me measure an accurate dose.

However, I do wish that this bottle would last longer. It's just 30 ml, which can be consumed quite quickly if you're taking it daily. But given its concentrated potency and the noticeable benefits, I suppose it's understandable.

As a coffee lover, I never thought I'd switch to dandelion root tea, but oh boy, was I in for a surprise! Just Herbs' Dandelion Root is as close as it gets to a morning pick-me-up. I add a hint of date syrup and Ceylon cinnamon to make a delicious infusion that's perfect for starting my day on a healthy note.
I was a bit skeptical about trying an herbal supplement, but this miraculous root has been a game-changer for my mom, who suffers from chronic health conditions. The combination of dandelion root, palo d'arco, and muellin flowers has worked wonders in reducing inflammation and fluid retention. It's now a staple in her daily routine, and the difference in her overall health is evident.
The taste of this dandelion tea is rich and unique, but it's definitely an acquired taste. If you're not a fan of the natural bitterness, adding some sweetener or pairing it with other ingredients can help make it more palatable. But honestly, I think it's worth trying at least once to see if it's something you'll enjoy.
While I'm not a health expert, I can say that I've noticed a difference in how I feel since incorporating dandelion root tea into my routine. The natural diuretic properties help keep bloating at bay, and I find myself feeling more energized than ever. Plus, the fact that this product is sourced from a trusted online store makes it even more appealing.
In conclusion, I highly recommend giving Just Herbs' Dandelion Root a try if you're looking for a natural way to support your overall health and well-being. Just remember to give your taste buds a little time to adjust if you're not used to the unique taste!
