👋🏽 Welcome to Polyhedra - a growing community of nerds and TTRPG enthusiasts, just like you! 🤓
Tuesdays @ 7 p.m. EST
🪑 2/6 Seats Available! (Level 13)
CAN YOU CHANGE FATE?
The greed of mortals has awakened a powerful entity long thought destroyed. For eons, this mighty champion of the gods has been imprisoned in the darkest depths of Exandria. His name has been forgotten, as have his heroic deeds. Languishing in despair, he calls out for new heroes to save him.
This campaign has been running for nearly two years now, but the best is yet to come! The group - known as Altis Vespera - have reached level 13, although they've only just crossed the halfway point of the module itself. They are explorers, diplomats, scholars, storytellers... but most of all they are adventurers - and they have the track record to prove it! They've wandered the Wastes of Xhorhas, braved the depths of the Betrayers' Rise, and seen the glimmering towers of the Cerulean Palace in far away Ank'Harel. They've survived (mostly) a harrowing trek through the Feywild, and were hailed as the saviours of Rexxentrum in the aftermath of the Searing. They have been gifted (and cursed) with divine visions, faced monsters believed to be myth, peered back through the mists of time, and bartered with demi-gods. If you've wanted to play in a high-level campaign alongside players with a flair for the dramatic, then this is the table for you!

That fella grew up, as can happen to folks, It makes us all into the butt of life’s jokes. And soon he was caught on the D&D hooks, He learned to roll dice and he bought all the books. Sometimes over coffee, sometimes over ale, He’d gather his friends and they’d work out a tale. An ancient, lost city, way out in the dunes. Enchanted glades ringing with haunting, fey tunes. An Arthurian quest, or a mystery thriller, A forest, a cabin, a shadowy killer. A tropical island, a grim burning waste. A chef of fine stories must season to taste. And so, my dear reader, I’ll ask if I’m able “Will you take a seat and roll dice at my table?"

2024.05.08 21:24 -SpaghettiCat- LG C7 Vs G3 Panel Thickness

LG C7 Vs G3 Panel Thickness
I just upgraded from an LG C7 to a G3, and while I'm sure I'll love the picture quality (just unboxed it) and brightness, I have to say I did not expect the new tv to be significantly thicker than the old C7.
The C7 measures 3/16 of an inch and the G3 is more than double the thickness at a half inch; just thought it was worth noting that the C7 definitely had a sleeker look in my opinion, especially when on a tv table stand, which I require for my living room space.
I guess the thicker screen is necessary for the added brightness and power, but just thought it was worth mentioning for future buyers. I thought the C7 looked incredible aesthetically in terms of the physical design / thin panel.
Pics attached.
I'm thinking the concerns will subside once I get my Xbox Series X hooked up for gaming in a sunny room.
I am curious if the C3 is thin like the C7, and if others weighed this in their C3/G3 purchases.
Thanks in advance for any additional input.

I guess Bravo is feminist now?
Now, Andrew. I know you did not just call Bravo feminist after the shit production just tried to pull with a VPR Sandoval redemption arc this season. Talking about women finding their voice and power, like they didn't just try to villainize Ariana all season for doing just that. No sir, no ma'am. The fandom is too smart for this mess.
Katie, Ariana...come get your boss. He's talking nonsense to the papers.

2024.05.08 21:18 seeyatellite Conflict and Judgment vs Empathy and Authenticity - a Duality

Rightness and wrongness are domination constructs. One must be below for another to be above. One’s power is stripped for another to be enforced. The ideas of rightness and wrongness are often instrumental in coercion… when we want to make a person do something without quite telling them we don’t care about their feelings on the matter because we thing we’re right about how they should live for the moment. This is usually a result of believing in something like a way of life, method of accomplishing goals, or even a religion.
Coercion can be so subtle many of us don't even recognize we're doing it. There's an intrinsic imperative within all of us, guiding us to meet our needs and when our needs extend into traditionality of family structures and "loyalty" or meeting our children's needs, we can lose sight of empathy, become less "self-full" and more selfish.
Being selfish isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's important to focus attention on our individual, collective needs and meeting them with balance and intention. From there, we can recognize the importance of our social and community needs and more personally, our intimacy and sexual needs.
We're all interdependent. None of us are solely independent... after all, we know all we know resulting from the education and conditioning we receive from others. Whether we like it or not, we depend on one another for emotional, social and physical needs.
A core aspect in fulfilling relationships of all kinds is meeting emotional and physical needs. Whether it’s friends laughing together, grieving together, dancing and singing together, shaking hands, high-fiving and handing out hugs, partners and deep friends holding one another, cuddling to watch a movie, finding protection and safety in touch and appreciation, partners and lovers meeting intimacy and sexual expression needs... our emotional and physical needs matter for true connection.
This is a frightening realization when considering drugs, alcohol, external satisfiers and peer pressure. Many of us are traditionally educated toward dominance, falsely believing in our own autonomic free will when the will of society is and will always be an explicitly powerful factor.
Gabor Maté frequently speaks on the psychology of addiction, and his book In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts paints an elegantly concerned picture. Our addictions are all around us.
We accept self-harm and harming others in small ways... just because the collective deems that acceptable... or at least does nothing about it.
Food for thought on drugs. I can assure you, most people just straight up don't want them. They've become enraptured by the satisfaction of social, cultural and chemical indulgence masquerading as needs fulfillment with limited understanding of what that even means.
This is to say... you do you. Be yourselves and love yourselves however you see fit for yourselves. I accept you and appreciate your everything in all its spectacular beauty. I know we're all part of something greater and many of us can't see beyond our own noses in the matter.
I'll continue observing, learning, developing my understanding and nurturing the empathy for all I hope so diligently to embody.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other” doesn’t make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.”
~Rumi
You see, to be fully aware of ourselves, our needs and our feelings isn’t good for a system built on convincing us that someone’s right so someone else must be wrong. To be in touch with compassionate empathy creates static consumer states... nobody’s fighting for more when everyone’s satisfied.
We have a dualistic democracy which we can’t even see beyond... and that’s the point. When we have something or someone to oppose, we no longer seek answers. We prioritize being right over learning and understanding.
Interestingly, this conflict is not a natural desire. Survival is. Our survival counts on complex awareness, assessment, nervous system activation and action... that’s not inherently meant to just fixate on the hate... but that hate boils when all we do is fixate.
Our nerves and bodies remember even what we’ve long convinced ourselves we let go of.
So... beyond those valleys... those ideas that people would ever do things for hateful reasons if they weren’t conditioned toward those strategies for meeting life-affirming needs... I shall meet you in that beautiful field.
For it is where we are all welcome; to live, to love, to laugh and embrace one another joyously... reverently. We must do this by accepting their lives and their decisions as life-affirming for them and not intentionally malicious. No matter what we observe from them or hear of their observations. Many of us are taught to judge, rather than make observational inquiries. This can get pretty muddy.
An observational assessment is merely setting forth our personal perspective on what might be shared experience. It is not wronging a person, telling them what they are or how they act. It is not paperwork or digging into history for relatable past behaviors. In many ways, bring up these things can feel like dismissal of the now and for many of us, the now matters a heckuva lot. What’s more is paperwork is usually written from an individual perspective, yet held in absolute regard to various systems implementing it. A signature does not dictate reality. It only offers singular insight for a majority system.
When we feel threatened by a person's observation of shared experience, there is something within us feeling judged, shamed, fearful or all of these things. We may feel ignore or dismissed… both are pseudo-feelings related to feeling judged. These can be a sign there is a need for reflection and love inside us. We need to understand there’s another perspective here and know we are here within ourselves only. All conversation, especially around ourselves requires authenticity.
Authenticity requires absolute accountability and recognition of self. We can observe a person's actions. We can never, no matter the pattern, consistency or inconsistency, accurately assess their motives, intentions or meaning. We can only seek to understand what we feel about them and why that is from within us.
As individuals, our only obligation is to reflect and understand ourselves through compassionate self-empathy and to share that consciousness with others in ways which meet their needs with ours at any presented moment.
Many of us shape expectations or develop a desired or expected narrative around the lives of others without even realizing it, then we get frustrated or irritated when they do things differently from what we expect or "want" from them... because we often plan our own lives around these expectations.
A healthy goal for ourselves would be to focus on healing the self, balancing our needs and becoming wholly self-connected and self-sufficient. This way, we allow ourselves to contribute to others from a fully mastered consciousness. We can then learn with them, grow with them and lift them up because we must feel secure in ourselves before feeling truly safe and protected in the presence of others.
We can't share vulnerability when we're scared to show ourselves.
Authenticity can be a challenging achievement... which is totally worth it. Keep in mind that authenticity requires mastering accountability without pause. This is one way we grow beyond conflict... to fearlessly release the conflict within ourselves.

2024.05.08 21:15 hoggersbridge Engines of Arachnea: A Science Fantasy Epic [Chapter 4: Mound 13]

Blurb: Stranded on the hell-planet of Arachnea, the last remnants of the human Fleet fight to survive in a world overrun by insectoid monsters and a sentient ecosystem gone mad. It is a war they are destined to lose, as with every century that passes, more of the ancient science lies forgotten, replaced by myth and superstition. That is, until assistant navigator Rene stumbles the mightiest weapon of the ancestor-gods...

They encountered no further patrols and reached the outpost before evening fell. Outpost 13 was a smaller mound that had been subjugated not long ago. It was wedge-shaped, far taller than it was wide, with short stumps of feeder towers running down its spine. It was cement grey rather than the virulent black of Mound Euler, and stood like the ominous gravestone of some forgotten giant, crumbling away in a backwoods cemetery, cratered and pockmarked by scores of holes where shells and grapeshot had impacted.
Rene had been part of sieges before, as an ammo hopper in the artillery, and he could well imagine how costly this one had been. The unique shape of the mound would have meant that any advances would have been focused along a brutal, narrow front, where any advantage in numbers enjoyed by the attackers would have been negated. Usually a mound had several entrances through which one could spearhead an assault, pouring into the tunnels from a dozen different directions, but that hadn’t been the case here. Given the smaller population of the Amits, they had only ever needed to construct one gate. He shuddered to imagine the relentless carnage of such a battle, with men and Amits both pouring their numbers into a slaughter of single-minded purpose. He wondered how they had ever managed to take this place, until he saw the segment of the eastern wall that had collapsed entirely. It would have taken a great deal of ordinance to crack open. Even from a distance the walls appeared thick and imposing. He imagined entire weeks spent pounding the place into submission with mortars and heavy canon, engineers making combat runs to find lines of weakness, then directing their fire to hammer home relentlessly on these until finally the place had given way, collapsing all at once in a great thundering sheet of shattered stone. Even now he could see the cross-section of the mound exposed in all its beehive complexity. Amits in their thousands must have spilled out from such a wreckage, cringing at the sudden light of the suns piercing their dark abodes. Then infantry would have poured through, putting them to the bayonet before they could wriggle themselves free of the debris.
It would have been a bloody affair, and he wondered why he had never heard of such an action taking place.
Since then the current occupants had shored up their defenses. Wooden scaffolding spanned the areas of worst damage, brick and mortar replacing the crumbling dolomite. A feeder tower with cracks running down its length had been converted into a commanding keep from which the maws of several cannon peeked out, covering the approaches from either flank. Stout palisades now ringed the outer defenses, constructed in dog-toothed patterns to break the impact of a charge and provide overlapping fields of fire.
They came up to the main road. Along this at regular intervals stakes had been pounded into the ground, onto which the skins of dead Amits had been impaled, desiccated scales rustling in the wind. These grisly trophies dotted the area for several miles around. It served to inform Amits of other broods who might think to try and claim the mound that the place was now occupied by dangerous predators. Once a month a scent detail would make the rounds, splashing over the ground buckets of sharp, pungent death-warning-fear pheromones extracted from dead Amits.
At the palisades they were challenged by a man wearing a steel shod helmet. He saluted them and asked:
“Names and purpose, please.”
“Navigator Deschane, 4th Command Echelon, Navigator. This is Ensign Rene, of the 3rd Pathfinder Regiment. We’re here to report our mission results.”
The man peered down at them, saw a pair of disheveled, exhausted men, blood smearing the insides of their sealant suits, with barely enough strength left to stand. He saw the tattered stripes on Deschanes shoulder pad, immediately saluted once more with a clatter of body armor, shouting:
“Aye, sir! Open the gate! We need medical officers here!”
The relief was almost unbearable. The gate unlatched and men rushed to help them as they sank to their knees in the mud, finally safe.
“Don’t know about any mission, but you look to be in an awful state,’ the man said, “How’d the two of you made it this far on your own?”
“There were more of us yesterday,” Rene said heavily.
“Who is the ranking officer here?
“Admiral Prota, sir.”
“Take me to him. With dispatch!”
They were half guided, half carried to the pressure gate, a broad circle of steel that hissed as the airlock within equalized with the outside. The entrance was on the northern edge of the wedge, where it protruded forward at a height of several stories from a barbican. Broad bolts thick as a man’s arm slid back and allowed them in. As it closed behind them and the chamber depressurized once more, men in full cleaning gear came and emptied buckets of decontamination fluid onto their sealant suits, scrubbing them with long handled brushes. A second batch of cleaners peeled off their masks and sealant suits, and for the first time in four days they felt fresh air make contact with their skin. The second door opened, and they entered Outpost Euclid.
The mounds were one of the few places where one could breathe freely without the cloying restriction of a valve. In the natural pockets of stale air that permeated the cave systems, mankind clawed its way to a continued existence. Great turbine fans turning endlessly in the feeder towers served to regulate the air flow and internal pressure, powered by the underground rivers percolating through the layers of soft stone. Without a contained, self-regulating environment and machines to purify the dwelling place a man would die within days, convulsing as the neurons of his brain fired in vain in an atmosphere oversaturated with oxygen.
Mound 13 was a young settlement, only possessing the most basic necessities. Rows of braziers hung from every doorway, framing passing faces in flickering orange light. Stacks of crates and supplies lined the corridors, bales of wire, nails and planks of rough wood littered the floor.
A small crowd had gathered by the entrance, led by a middle-aged woman in medical fatigues. At her signal several attendants bustled forward with stretchers. Deschane sent them back with a scathing look. He looked the woman up and down, and his jaw muscles twitched. If the woman saw this, she gave no sign of offense.
“Well met, lord navigator,” she began, “This way to the hospital ward, if you please.”
“Later,” he snapped, “Where is Admiral Prota? I was told he was in command here.”
“Sir, your medical situation takes precedence. Your wounds are quite serious.”
“Pardon me, but to the void with my medical condition. Madame, I’ve come a very long way to deliver a missive of the utmost importance, and I will not be put aside until I’ve had my say.”
The woman’s eyes narrowed.
“Please don’t be difficult.”
“Difficult? If I don’t see him within a minute from now, I’ll show you precisely how difficult I can be. Respectfully of course, madame.” he said, in a tone that was anything but.
“It’s possible your eyesight might have been affected by recent trauma to the head. Not to mention whatever region of the brain that handles basic etiquette.”
She brought out from her field pouch a strip of gauze and a bottle of antiseptic solution, and came forward to clean his face. In the dim light of the flames Rene caught a glimpse of the pendant hanging around her neck, a thin blue rectangular wafer fashioned from some unearthly glass. Rene drew breath: she was an officer of the 2nd Command Echelon, almost the highest station in existence. The pendant was her seal of command, a relic passed down generations beyond count. It swung on its leather thong, caught the torchlight and broke it into a thousand points of light.
“Away with that, woman, or by the ancestors I’ll-”
“Sir.” Rene said quickly, with concern.
“Its Rear-Admiral Prota, actually. And it certainly isn’t ‘woman’.”
Deschane blinked, realizing the magnitude of his error. Despite himself, Rene hid a smile behind his hand.
“I must apologize. I presumed-”
“Yes, of course. Now, before I cite you for an infraction, would you kindly come this way? You can debrief me while we stitch your head back together.”
Deschane nodded with reluctance. They allowed themselves to be led away. As they walked it became apparent that the scars of war still lay thick upon the place. The walls were dotted by bullet holes and oddly warped surfaces where streaks of acid had been sprayed to dissolve both stone and attackers alike. Once they even saw the outline of a man, the moment of his death forever etched into the ageless calcite. From the cave entrances sets of shattered columns jutted like broken teeth, reminding them of the storm of violence that had once ripped through the place.
Despite all this, Mound 13 was beautiful. Its spare halls possessed a natural symmetry and decidedly pleasing dimensions that were out of place in a newly conquered mound. All around them, workers bustled about, busy making renovations that would eventually make the place home.
“As you can see, we’ve been rather busy around here,” explained Admiral Prota, “There’s much to do, and not enough people to do it. Why, we haven’t even explored the entirety of the natural cave system yet, not to mention all the segments the Amit added. There’s talk of us being made into a full settlement someday, but of course that isn’t possible, given the nature of our work here.”
“Your work?”
“I’d explain, but you’re losing far too much blood.”
The massive cut across the top of his head had resumed its slow red trickle. Deschane wiped his face and winced as his scalp stretched.
They went into a wide, well-lit room and Rene’s eyes widened. He could scarcely believe what he was seeing. Above them yawned three massive domes of the purest blue marble, like those of a great basilica, held aloft by elegant pillars and jagged friezes that overflowed like molten candlewax.
Every surface was pockmarked by endless tessellations, countless branching forms and geometric shapes that merged one into the other in pleasing harmony. But what really stood out were the stars.
The tip of every stalactite shone as a thimbleful of water gathered. For a long moment, before gravity took precedence, they hung suspended in all their adamantine brilliance, before the illusion ended, and they flashed downward in lightning streaks of silver.
“Nice, isn’t it?” said Prota, noting his reaction.
“You’ve done magnificent work here madame.”
“Oh, but I can’t take credit for that. None of us can really.”
Rene frowned at this curious remark. He had never seen such a formation, not in all his lifetime spent beneath the ground. At first glance he had marveled at the hands and minds of those whose craft had shaped the place. But now he remembered that there was no way the working crews could have completed such a thing within a few weeks. He put it down as just another one of nature’s novelties.
At the end of the hallway men with picks carefully chipped away at a section of collapsed tunnel, supervised by an engineer.
“What’s behind that?” he asked eagerly.
“One of the sloping tunnels that run beneath the eastern segment where the collateral damage was greatest. We have yet to uncover most of them, but the engineers assure me that beyond this obstruction the tunnel ceilings remain intact. We’d try explosives but we’re afraid the whole place would come crashing down about our ears.”
They entered a small side chamber attached to the basilica, where cots had been arranged for them to sit upon. A medical orderly stood ready to receive them, needle and thread in hand. Deschane sat, wincing as they jabbed at his opened head wound, and delivered his report. Prota stood and occasionally nodded her head, her face devoid of emotion. Until, that is, they stated their estimation of the size of Mound Euler. Then she looked up sharply, asked:
“How large did you say?”
“Ensign, if you please.”
Rene produced the map.
“Madame, around here is where the primary towers are. The new cluster of secondary feeder towers were here. Assuming that the mound is of the usual ovoid shape, and that it’s major axis stretches between these two points, this would be its approximate size.”
He drew the outline with his finger.
“But that would make it-”
“Exactly. Greater than all our core settlements combined. And so,” concluded Deschane, “Given the magnitude of this threat, admiral, I must respectfully request that you evacuate Outpost 13 as soon as possible.”
“I understand. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You are to be praised for having made it here in one piece. Both of you,” she added, nodding at Rene, who was surprised to be acknowledged.
“But you must understand,” she continued with a set look on her weathered face, “Retreat is not an option for us here at 13.”
Deschane sat up.
“It is not cowardice to withdraw in the face of certain annihilation.”
“Bravery has nothing to do with it. I suppose I had better tell you. I owe it to you for the men you’ve lost, if nothing else,” she sighed. “Navigator, why do you think Command sent you on your mission?”
Deschane shrugged.
“Overpopulation. Settlements Yohan and Gaus are at maximum capacity. The others will reach theirs soon enough.”
“No. Population factors alone do not warrant full-scale invasion of a large mound. It is too costly, and command does not waste lives when there is little of strategic value to be gained. And there is nothing around here worth the misery of claiming it.”
“Except for Mound 13.” said Rene.
“Correct.” She nodded with approval. “You catch on quick.”
“I don’t follow.”
“Navigator, your men died to keep 13 secure. This small mound is the sole reason that Command wants to push north.”
“But why?”
“As you may have guessed, your operation was the first step towards a wider offensive. To claim this mound permanently we must seize control of all surrounding areas, even if it risks aggravating the enemy into surface skirmishes.”
“Madame, what makes you think that they would confine themselves above the ground?”
She persisted, “Even so. 13 is too valuable to lose.”
“But why?” Rene broke in.
“Tell me ensign, how long have you fought the enemy?”
“All my life. Ever since they found a sealant suit that could fit me.”
“What is your opinion of their intelligence?”
They could adapt to situations and plan with meticulous attention to detail. They made tools, fashioning stone into lethal axes and spear heads. They were capable of highly effective communication, both tactile and pheromonal. They built labyrinthine structures that dwarfed any that man could make.
“They’re clever. Given time, they eventually learn. It makes them very hard to kill,” he said finally.
“But would you say they are sentient?”
He thought for a moment.
“No.”
“Really? Above all else, the Amit display an unwavering hatred of all things human. That they can commit themselves to the utter eradication of an entire species outside of their natural food chain is a clear indication of abstract thought, yes?”
“Forgive me, but what does this have to do with the deaths of my men?”
“That chamber of stars behind you?” she paused, a smile playing over her face, “For that’s what it is, I’m sure you had a similar impression. It isn’t natural. We certainly didn’t make it. They did, though why we are still struggling to guess.”
The orderly finished his work. They stood and returned to the star chamber, gazing about in wonder and confusion.
“All through the past year we have been rebuilding and cataloguing items of interest. Beginning to piece together the connotations of this place. What we have here is the first veritable proof of the Amit race possessing a culture.”

2024.05.08 21:07 lukelee19 [Offline][5e][Saturdays - Afternoon] Clearwater/Tampa BAy Area - Homebrew Campaign

Seeking three to four players to establish a local game. We are a DM (35M) and one player (28F) forming a monthly in-person game. Open to all but hoping for similar-minded people between 21-45. [POC] & [LGBTQIA+] friendly. Most of our experience has been online, including a campaign I ran for three years. My friend has hosted a few one shots and is starting her own campaign as well. We are both pretty familiar with the rules but we are willing to accept newcomers and veterans alike. We would value the opportunity to meet new people and experience a game in person.
The location we have in mind is Black Harbor Gaming. We have also been to Critical Hit Games. Both locations offer tables for players to congregate on a first-come, first-served basis. I have spoken to Black Harbor about hosting a game there and received encouragement to do so. Once we are well acquainted, there may be private sessions but I hope to run other games here in the future! (Support your Local Game Stores!)
I have written most of my own adventures. I have taken inspiration from established content but I have not run an adventure book directly. My longest-running game used elements from Out of the Abyss and Ghosts of Saltmarsh along with established Forgotten Realms lore to tell an original story. I am willing to tweak aspects of the game if I believe the changes can make it more enriching. As such, I try to stick closely to RAW (rules as written) but will offer narrative adjustments to suit the story. This could mean homebrew feats or magical items to fit the story of PCs. I also use homebrew variations of monsters and challenges. My table has tended to run roleplay-heavy, but certain stints will feature difficult combat.
If I had to pin down my style, I try to bring a cinematic sense to the game. I like to use music, images, and character art to set the scene for wherever the party is. I make my best effort at voices and have been able to successfully craft some identifiable NPCs. I have mostly been using Roll20 with maps I have either found or made myself using Dungeondraft. I like to press the party with moral questions and am happy for them to take whatever path they feel is right. I enjoy working with players to expand on their backstories and weaving elements together to help the PCs have reasons to stick together. I try to craft interesting puzzles using the medium available, which could be interesting if I'm able to work with players in a physical space. I also enjoy strategic combat and will throw challenges at the players that I am not sure how they will overcome. So far, it has been a balancing act where the players have always felt like they were in more danger than I have. Overall, I hope to build an immersive story but accept that we are human and will make the occasional goof. I tend to be agreeable and easy-going, and believe the table should be a fun space. I want you to laugh, I want you to cry, and sometimes even piss you off but always with narrative and not 'gotcha 'game mechanics.
The world's fate has been decided.
It needs to be destroyed.
However, some stand outside of fate. How will the few change the destiny of the many?
In this campaign, the goal is for the Player Characters to step outside of the small, broken world that they know, as the threads of Fate that bind them begin to "Fray". The themes of the campaign will focus on the spiritual journey one must endure to carve their own destiny. They will seek to solve the mystery that asks; If there is a higher power, how could they let the world come to such a cataclysmic end? If there is a grand design, how will seeing its shape affect them? Will their faith continue to be the driving force to preserve their world? Or will they find the will to bend reality shifting their world from its predetermined path?
I will be using elements of The Fablemakers' Animated Tarot Guidebook to shape the game. The Major Arcana will appear as influences within the story and in shaping your characters. I will also use them as a mechanic to help drive PCs into unique environments. I plan to sample Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse when I can. While there will be an over-arching story, I am trying for an episodic nature so that it is not too detrimental for players to miss an occasional game.
I will leave further specifics for a private conversations and then a Session 0 once we have players selected. To be clear, I AM NOT seeking a fully formed character pitch from you. Instead, if you wish to apply, please reach out to me via chat or DM. I will follow up with a questionnaire I have prepared and interview as many people as I can. While I am hoping to fill seats quickly, life is always changing. If you'd like, I will keep your information on reserve after the post is closed.

2024.05.08 21:06 ZiranaNirvana There’s a rotting smell in our house and my family won’t do anything about it / Rotten meat in broken garbage freezer!!!

EDIT: and just to preface; she always says, “I’ll just wait to see how you and your sister keep your houses when you move out!” As though to say I won’t do any better… Yeah, my plan is to not stash junk and let food rot for years in my home…
I know I just posted, but I’m so fed up today! I’m trying so hard to keep it together. I wake up so depressed and I want to move, but every job I’ve applied to has denied me, so I’m stuck dealing with a rotten smelling house.
They won’t do anything about this!!! The half clean (which is just them cluttering up another space with stuff) and say they got it, but then at the same times everyday, there’s a horrible smell coming from the kitchen.
As for the meat in the garage, this has been rotten for ELEVEN YEARS!!! My father died and we lost power and so with that, went the garage meat. My mom refuses to clean it. This is probably messing with my sinuses I’m sure. I always get an itchy throat at night.
My mom has junk under the kitchen table that are right in front of a heating vent and this stuff goes all the way out towards the fridge only giving us a tiny bit of walking space. I think that is we’re the source of the smell is coming from. On top of that table, she has bug infested plants (yes, in the kitchen) and then wonders why I don’t like keeping dry food in that area.
The hoarding issue is getting worse. If I could post pictures to better clarify what my descriptions, I would. So, if this isn’t making sense, let me know so I can clarify.
My therapist said I could endure it all and focus on moving or clean it myself. I’ve literally cleaned under the table before and it’s disgusting again… but if I just move, I feel like she’ll say I dirtied up her house and then just moved away as the smear campaign….

2024.05.08 20:50 No_Ethical_Socks Remember, Session Zero only works if you actually communicate to each other like an adult.

Yeah, yeah, this should be obvious, but right now I'm watching five months of investment in a campaign implode because people at the table agreed to a session zero, sat down, and then failed to fully voice their expectations and boundaries for the game. I reserve the right to vent a bit.
When our group sat down for our preliminary session of Monster of the Week, I walked away feeling like I'd hosted the ideal setup. MotW is a game where character creation is also worldbuilding, so players are effectively building out the campaign from first principles at the same time they're building out their characters. It's the ideal time to nip any concerns about content in the bud. I printed off a common safety checklist, we went around the table doing our Lines & Veils, and we had an open discussion about what we wanted the campaign to be about; on paper, we did everything you're supposed to do.
One of the playbooks in MotW is "The Monstrous," a character born of the campaign's main chosen monster-faction but currently rebelling against their kind. One player quickly settled on playing a vampire-spawn hunting her own kind, and took the ability to mentally dominate humans as a starting ability. She wanted to play a character who struggled a bit with her own toxic impulses and the ease with which she could manipulate other people, because she was interested in playing the kind of character at serious risk of eventually becoming a Keeper-controlled threat, as is one of the fates that can befall The Monstrous as a playbook. As a full group, we discussed our level of comfort with these themes, revisiting our Lines and Veils to discuss how far we were willing to let this go in-game. We set our hard lines, we all agreed emotional abuse was on the veil; to reiterate, we did everything you're supposed to do.
Except, I guess we didn't. Five months later, eighteen sessions deep, midway through an adventure partially concerned with either freeing the Monstrous character from her curse or losing her to bestial hunger, another player has said OOC they don't want the character on their team anymore. She's crossed too many lines, used too many people; in their opinion, it's deeply uncomfortable that we're discussing redemption for this kind of character at all.
And I'll admit that I'd noticed the friction once or twice before now. Long, quiet streaks after scenes where the Monstrous used her powers to flippantly command civilians, and especially after scenes where she'd use this power on another player who played her partner to shut down arguments (with both players' full consent in playing out a toxic relationship). It's why I'd reached out to this player, repeatedly, checking in to make sure everything happening in the game was okay with them. I was told yes. Now I'm being told no, it's been upsetting them more and more for months, and they aren't having fun playing as a character who would associate with this other PC. In fact, the whole concept has been upsetting them from the start.
Why wasn't this brought up during session zero, when everyone was invited to set their boundaries for the game? "Because everyone else seemed so excited about the idea," so they didn't want to rock the boat.
And I guess... I don't know. I don't know what I could have done differently. I sat everyone down, asked them to discuss what they were comfortable with playing, invited them to reach out in private for anything they felt uncomfortable disclosing in front of the group, and blatantly had that ignored until it festered into a problem beyond salvaging. Everyone is angry at each other now, and losing either player is going to take at least one other player with them, killing the whole game dead in the water.
I get that there's a lot of social awkwardness in this hobby, but what's even the point of building such a culture around safety tools if players are going to be too conflict-averse to use them? We had every chance to solve this five months ago, on the ground floor, before we'd invested all this time into a story at least one player quietly resented the whole time. Just, fuck, man.

2024.05.08 20:50 SafeSoundMyNay To create a measure or add a column with previous day's sales for each office..

To create a measure or add a column with previous day's sales for each office..
Hi all,
I apologize first that the title may look confusing. I have a table with columns: Code(meaning offices code), input date (The date I "flash" forecast sales for each weeks), forecast sales for the whole week ending in May 4th, May 11st, and so on. For example, on May 6th, I entered forecast sales $ for the week of May 11st for office A, say $26K. And then on May 9th, I entered forecast sales $ for the week of May 11st for office A, $44K. I am trying to find out offices who added less than 20% of forecast sales between two flash day, May 4th and May 9th, for forecast sales on week of May 11st.
It looks like a self join based on office code and the week in sql. But I don't know if that's possible in PowerBI.
The top screenshot in blue is the original table layout. The bottom screenshot in green is after pivoting columns of each weeks.
Thanks,

2024.05.08 20:39 howsyourmotherr Wiring issue 2012 ram 3500 6.7L

I’m having issues with a newly bought ram. Power but no crank. I’ve checked every relay and fuse in the fuse panel by doing click test on 85 and 86 then using alligator clamps to close the circuit then testing continuity on the 30 and 87 etc.
I’ve jumped the starter and it cranks over. I’ve pulled the starter and done a bench test on the unit. Worked fine so I reinstalled. It has power to the positive terminal on the starter but I have no power to the starter solenoid signal wire.
I’ve probed the starter solenoid and had my wife turn the ignition over, so I could test power on the output side of the relay . No power.
I’m not sure if there’s a fail safe I’m missing, maybe a neutral safety switch.
Also , I’m not getting a reading when I plug in my code scanner .

2024.05.08 20:24 WavyQ95 We need to talk about Ayahuasca.

In the final verse of ‘Meet The Grahams’ Kendrick speaks directly to Aubrey and says “Therapy’s a lovely start, but I suggest some ayahuasca, strip the ego from the bottom”. I believe this is being overlooked and it points to Kendrick’s mentality.
I’ll frame this by saying I have dealt with mental health issues (depression and anxiety). Most recently I was introduced to Psychedelic Mushrooms. I can only describe my experiences as “Enlightenment” and “Euphoria”. I do not condone drug use, specially for anyone that has not had their brain fully developed (under the age of 25).
With that said, What is Ayahuasca?
“Ayahuasca — also known as the tea, the vine, and la purga — is a brew made from the leaves of the Psychotria viridis shrub along with the stalks of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine, though other plants and ingredients can be added as well (1Trusted Source).
This drink was used for spiritual and religious purposes by ancient Amazonian tribes and is still used as a sacred beverage by some religious communities in Brazil and North America, including the Santo Daime.”
How does it work?
“The main ingredients of Ayahuasca — Banisteriopsis caapi and Psychotria viridis — both have hallucinogenic properties (2Trusted Source).
Psychotria viridis contains N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a psychedelic substance that occurs naturally in the plant.”
What is the experience like?
“People react to Ayahuasca differently. Some experience euphoria and a feeling of enlightenment, while others go through severe anxiety and panic. It’s not uncommon for those taking Ayahuasca to experience both positive and negative effects from the brew.”

So what is your point?
I’ve been a fan of Kendrick Lamar since 2010 when I first heard of Overly Dedicated. From 2010 to 2024 Kendrick Lamar has never switched up on who he is. He has ALWAYS wanted to portray himself, the black community, and Compton as a place where normal people are forced to live through poverty, trauma, and gang violence. On an interview with Noisey Kendrick says, “From Compton I could’ve easily said I did this, I did that, I done killed a whole bunch of niggas, just given the fact of where I’m from. That ain’t me, I’d rather talk about my reality. I’d rather talk about something deeper than that. The reasons, the problems, and the solutions behind it.” He goes on say how the stories in GKMC and TPAB are ways of shining the light on the black/Compton community and the people that don’t have much because of the environment they live in, so they can be seen as actual people.
Source: https://youtu.be/OGggHodlqLk?si=FAwMr5hjvHHUmApV
This interview was recorded in 2016 before DAMN and Mr. Morale. Given the subject matter on Mr. Morale of overcoming his own past traumas and mental health issues then trying to share his experience to help people in the black community heal from those things, it’s not hard to connect that Kendrick has experienced euphoria and enlightenment through psychedelics. This further ties in with his countless Bible references throughout his career. There is a strong correlation between psychedelics and religion. You can read more about this here: https://www.vox.com/vox-conversations-podcast/2021/3/4/21759683/christianity-psychedelics-brian-muraresku-the-immortality-key
I can only speak for myself when I say that psychedelics have given me a new breath to live a more purposeful life and I believe Kendrick understands that, probably on a deeper level. My latest experience was the night “Family Matters” and “Meet the Grahams” dropped. I honestly felt like I transcended with “Meet the Grahams” and understood Kendrick on a spiritual level. When you have these psychedelic experiences, there are life lessons being taught, there is no ego, no frontin, no hiding feelings. It’s yourself in the purest form. I truly believe Kendrick is aware of some fucked up shit these powerful people are doing behind the scenes. Drake is involved in some way and is backed by the industry. You guys have to understand that the industry controls headlines and stories from every angle. So the things that come to light are leaked or are too hard to hide from (Epstein, Weinstein, Diddy). Kendrick equals Drake’s downfall as the downfall of some sick fucks in the industry. Kendrick doesn’t hate Aubrey but he absolutely despises Drake, the poster boy of the industry.
Kendrick is not a perfect man but he has never switched up on his morals and values. A man that has experienced euphoria and enlightenment does not care about dollars and material bullshit. “Fuck the industry and they mommas”. I have a strong feeling that Kendrick has pulled the first card under this facade and more will come to light in the next few months. He might just continue to say more and drop a nuke on the industry. This isn’t over.

2024.05.08 20:22 Meatballing18 Organizing the Collatz

I suppose I'll get this information out there to see if it leads anywhere, I'm a bit stuck anyway.
I organized the odd numbers into how many times they will be divided by 2 in their next step. Or, what power of 2 will be included in the next step. Then, we just wipe that 2 away and are left with a new odd number.
Integers that fit the form 4n-1, [3, 7, 11, ...], are all numbers that when multiplied by 3, then add 1, require you to divide by 2 one time.
Integers that fit the form 8n-7, [1, 9, 17, ...], are all numbers that when multiplied by 3, then add 1, require you to divide by 2 twice.
Divide by 2 three times are: 16n-3 Divide by 2 four times: 32n-7
This is where a pattern forms. Let's separate the numbers into two categories: A = odd powers of 2 B = even powers of 2
Let's take the number 13 for example. It fits the form of 16n-3, where n is equal to 1. The original Collatz is 13 -> 40 -> 20 ->10 -> 5 -> 16 -> 8 -> 4 -> 2 -> 1. This new way (if it is new) I found is to take that n value, in this case n = 1, and because it is in an odd power of 2 set, A, take 6(n)-1, and we will find our next odd number. In this case, it is 5. Now, 5 fits the form...not given yet. We do know that 5*3+1 is 16, which is 24, so it will be in some B set. Long story short, it happens to be 32n-27. Well, n=1, but it is in set B. If a number is in the B set, take that n value, multiply it by 6, but this time subtract 5. 6(n)-5, n=1. So, 5 will go to 1.
This can be checked for all odd numbers.
To find the n value for numbers in set A:
(4m*n) - (4m - (5*22m -2) / 6)
The first few are: 4n-1, 16n-3, 64n-11, 256n-11
To find the n values for numbers in set B:
((2*2m+1) * n) - (5*22m + 1) / 3
The first few are: 8n-7, 32n-27, 128n-107, 512n-427
I will add another example. 27 is a good one. Normally this one takes forever. 27's n value is 7 (4*7-1). 6(7)-1 is 41. Now, 41's n value is 6 (found in 8(6)-7), in set B, so 6(6)-5 is 31. 31's n value is 8, and in set A so 6(8)-1 is 47. 47 is also in set A and it's n value is 12. 6(12)-1 is 71. You get the idea.
Here is a small table. The green equations are set A (where you divide by 2 an odd number of times) and purple is set B (dividing by 2 an even number of times).
https://www.desmos.com/calculatos3hws1sfej
It's a neat shortcut!
Now, note that all numbers that divide by 2 an odd number of times, excluding 1, will go directly to the same n value in the form of 4n-1. Example, let's do 256(4)-43. This gives us 981. Following the original collatz, we get 981*3+1=2944. Divide by 2 a bunch (7 times to be exact) and we get 23. We can also take that n value, multiply it by 6, and, because it is in set A, subtract 1. We get 23!
Now, if we take 4(n)-1, and use the same n value, we also get 23. So, any higher values of odd powers of 2 will act the same exact way as each other.
I'm going to take a shortcut about the even values, but they work out too.
If it's in A, 6n-1. If it's in B, 6n-5.
The n values are what's important!
Let's label A as the set of n values of odd numbers in the form of 4n-1. (I'm only using 4n-1 because it's easier than that long equation from earlier).
Let's also label B as the set of n values of odd numbers in the form of 8n-7.
A = [1, 2, 3, 4, ....] B = [1, 2, 3, 4, ....]
A1 is 4(1)-1, which is 3. B1 is 8(1)-7, which is 1. So, our goal is to get to B1.
Let's see where each n value of both A takes us. (I wrote a python script and did this for like...3,000,000 numbers or so)
A1 -> B1 A2 -> A3 A3 -> B3 A4 -> A6 A5 -> A2 A6 -> A9
Long story short, I found that n values that fit the form A2m go to A3m. A(8m-3) -> A(3m-1) A(32m-23) -> A(3m-2) A(4m-1) -> B3m A(64m-39) -> B(3m-1) A(16m-15) -> B(3m-2)
There is a pattern of 2x here, but this post is getting long so I'll probably include it later.
I found that the n values of B follows this rule:
B(32m-1) -> A3m B(2m) -> A(3m-1) B(8m-5) -> A(3m-2) B(64m-17) -> B3m B(16m-9) -> B(3m-1) B(4m-3) -> B(3m-2)
Notice that all of them go to some 0, 1, or 2 mod 3 of either set A or B here.
A(2m) and B(32m-1) both go to A3m, and so on.
A(2m) to A(3m), well they will go up in value, but how far?
Take A(2m) and divide it by 2 the appropriate number of times until it is odd, then multiply it by 3 that same number of times. So, A(2m)/(2x)*(3x).
Because certain numbers in set A and B both end up in the same place, I reorganized them a bit.
A_1 is A(2m) A_2 is A(4m-1) ... A_6 is A(64m-39)
B_1 is B(2m) B_2 is B(4m-3) ... B_6 is B(64m-17)
Because A_1 and B_5 both end up as A3m, A_1 is equivalent to B_5. A_1 is equiv B_5 A_2 is equiv B_6 A_3 is equiv B_1 A_4 is equiv B_2 A_5 is equiv B_3 A_6 is equiv B_4
Now, we are only dealing with set A_1, A_2, A_3, A_4, A_5, and A_6.
Lol this is where it gets confusing and I wish I had used different variables but this is what I have.
A_1(n) is the nth A_1, and so on.
Let's just follow an easy pattern here quick:
A_1(1) -> A_2(1) A_2(1) -> A_5(1) A_5(1) -> A_4(1) A_4(1) -> A_4(1)
Remember that A_4 is equiv to B_2, and B_2(1) is 1. I've got a table on how they interact for the first 60 or so n values, and have some of their patterns written down.
A_4(n): when n is in the form of 4m-3 (so 1, 5, 9, etc), goes to A_4(n) where n is in the form 3m-2.
I'm a bit further along than this, but I've been kinda stuck for a month. What I'm trying to do is to make A_1, A_2, A_3, A_5, and A_6 all reach some A_4 for the first time, then all A_4 that isn't in the form 4m-3 to also get back to A_4. Then, profit I think.
I haven't used Latex before, and I didn't want to just upload some word doc. I'll have to clean this up and get it all put together. I just graduated and will be starting my master's program in the fall, so I have all summer to work on this :)

2024.05.08 20:17 yoshi_miyoto Course Review Part 3 of 3

Hole: 12 Par 5
_____________________________________________________________________
638 Yards @ 53 feet down
_____________________________________________________________________
Tee: We have another hole running east to west it appears to be a split FW of a 90/10. While that 10 is a small island holding on to the green for dear life. We do have quite a few bunkers to the south side of the hole. The first set is 3 bunched together plotting the demise of the green, about 260 yards from the tee. And to the north the next 2 bunkers sneaking silently in single file roughly 275 yards. Your LZ is a wide area nestled between all 7 of these bunkers, and the last 3 bunkers running in single file to the north side of the FW running towards the green about 320 yards. If you got the 300+ in the bag, being accurate here will be helpful. Your first shot go long!

Fairway (FW):
_____________________________________________________________________
This particular FW, is rather narrow for any nice easy landing, unless you’re freaking robin hood in golf and then drop the ball wherever you feel works best for you. So those of us who can’t good luck, a slice here a sand trap there…we’ll see at the end. Running a bit short on your first shot, you may have to run really close to par or being ok with a possible bogey. As your second shot will be a stretch to get across the channel, even with dropping in elevation from the beginning, the course sets you up for 2 shots before hitting the green, unless you have that 300+
_____________________________________________________________________
Green:
_____________________________________________________________________
This green looks a lot like the guys face from the famous painting “Scream” except he has no eyes or mouth, but the hands are bunkers Upon looking at the face we have a bit of a bulge right in the center it’s a perfect circular mound. It’s 11 squares at its most narrow and roughly 30 squares wide at the greatest breadth. You’ll find red running along the cheek bones on the south side and on the north side from the cheekbone to the top of the head. We do have another bunker at the far west end sticking on like a French beret cap. Ending with a horrible triple bogie, that never helps a score, but hey who really plays to get the best score…lol..uhh…really?!

Nice use of sinking some trees for low foliage. Good job at sinking part of the wooden fence to create the half fence. The bridges are very well placed, the use of the subtle bend was a nice touch. That takes a bit of patience to create that, but once you get in the rhythm of turning and placing it goes rather quickly, depending on what you consider, quickly.

Well, this hole runs West to East a short saving grace FW next to the green on its’ south side as a possible catch before the rocks and water. And if you’re lucky to get caught up in the conga line of 4 bunkers coming in from the east thumping to the music off to the north side stretching almost all the way to the south side.

Ran across a couple angular fences while coming going along the path, If you haven’t run out of object memory, you might have wanted to have some flower pots, ball washer, and or something else to fill that space between the curve of the path and the right angle of the fence. A different Idea is to plant flowers that match the tee. I like the MO you have going with this particular rock set up, which is way different than the MO of Shaolin Temple and the rocks within that course. The appearance from the tee seeing the big rock formation looming up makes for a very deceptive climb.

It looks like a tear drop falling away from you with a big red crack in the middle spanning 3 – 4 squares. Just be wary of your LZ. I’m gonna leave that here and say good luck. Good chances a long roll lay up for a hole in one but don’t get to much speed or you will roll off the green and pray it doesn’t have enough momentum to pass the rough to hit the rocks.

Nice Touch with the private Island, tied up boat and the picnic tables and even the path lights, although most people don’t see these details, it really helps with the hole course. This has been some quality work that has been put into this. I like the choice for the time of day, I’m sorry if you don’t have HDR…it makes the course look absolutely stunning.

466 Yards @ 9 feet down

Tee:
_____________________________________________________________________
Going from West to East this hole is slightly elevated compared to the FW. The winding path to the FW looks a bit like a snail trail left by the FW worm. The LZ is upon a curve in the FW, so knowing your drive range with accuracy is, definitely recommended. This is one of the more narrow FW I’ve played, being that it is roughly 30 yards wide with some disastrous consequences to either side of the FW, luckily that is only this first couple hundred yards from the tee. After that first couple hundred yards were the FW starts to curve, about 220 yards from tee, the curve is just slight enough to mess with those that don’t have that long range drive.
_____________________________________________________________________
Fairway (FW):
_____________________________________________________________________
The arc diameter is roughly 90 yards staying mid center or as close to the south you’ll be much better for it. But if you decide to play to the outside on the north you’ll have a bit more to contend with on your next shot. Careful of the wind it may just blow you off course, and you’re looking at the water hazard or an ugly lie in the red mulch. But if you so much land on the FW consider yourself in better shape than I.
_____________________________________________________________________
Green:
_____________________________________________________________________
With a raised up bulbous peninsula we have our broken Dorrito chip green pointing north and the Scream bunkers on the north side flanking the rising FW upon to the broken chip. If a greater than symbol helps than that is what it could look like as well. However 1 bunker on the South side is not greater than the 3 bunkers on the North. If you stuck with your first shot to the center and south and landed it.. the key words here is landed it on the FW your next shot will be fairly straight forward. But diverging and splintering off to the right side you’ll have the scream bunkers trying to murder your score. And while on the green there is a ridge of red going from the northside all the way up the southside of this greater than broken chip looking green.

_____________________________________________________________________
The tee box area seemed a bit off and blocky due to the lack of curves that were so well used throughout the course. Smooth lines on the hills, the elevation rise and fall is seamless and natural. I probably would have made the FW directly next to the green a little more level instead of having you be dumped off into the right eye socket to the scream bunkers.

The West to East hole here is really an incredibly short par 4, you may have a chance at an ace on a par 4. That would be a nice accomplishment under the belt. Shoot actually making an ace, for me would be amazing. We have another drop in elevation to the FW and then a rise to the green.
_____________________________________________________________________
Fairway (FW):
_____________________________________________________________________
The FW here looks a bit like a jig saw puzzle. With a couple bunkers to the north side of the FW, not to much to deal with as I assume you can drive a bit farther than 200 yards. If not I suggest the driving range or more freaking practice.
_____________________________________________________________________
Green:
_____________________________________________________________________
We have 2 bunkers sitting at the front of the green with a tiny 5 yard strip of FW nestled in between. We have red running all around this green some pushing you off and some pushing you back onto it. but be careful the whole green is sloped.

The angular fencing is fine when posts line up with the sharp bend. This is why I recommend to curve all wooden fences. Having the wall with the number for the hole is great IMO they look better on level ground. The wall for the hole #’s could have been placed by the tree with the angled wooden fence. Consistent spacing of the trees has worked well and is pleasing to the eye.

Hole: 17 Par 4
_____________________________________________________________________
405 Yards @ 2 feet down
_____________________________________________________________________
Tee:
_____________________________________________________________________
Shooting from the green tee we see it is a dog right hole almost a complete 90 degree angle. The FW starts about 200 yards from the tee. Starts a bit narrow roughly 30 yards wide and then expands to a 40-50 yard right turn. Your LZ should be to the right where the course makes it’s if you can hit past that 300, if not you may want to stay towards the center to make it beyond the turn.
_____________________________________________________________________
Fairway (FW):
_____________________________________________________________________
With your LZ being right near the corner of the dog right watch out for the rocks that are there just chilling right in the mulch. If you can hit it just right with a bit of shot shaping you can make the corner, just be wary of the wind, it gets to be a real bugger.
_____________________________________________________________________
Green:
_____________________________________________________________________
No FW will touch this green it’s been completely blocked off by the 6 bunkers sitting right in front. Be careful of your club slection as you will be shooting up to the green, it is fairly narrow maybe 10-15 yards wide. The gap between the FW and the green with the 6 bunkers is about 20-30 yards wide.
_____________________________________________________________________
Editing notes
_____________________________________________________________________
My personal feeling would be that the FW could have been about 10 yards bigger in either direction. I have noticed that there has been less and less vegetation around the FW compared to the beginning of the course. The path leading from the green to hole 18 looks like it was set up for a berm in nascar, not sure if it was intentional or not, the wooden fencing came away from the cart path unlike the rest of the course where the wooden fence fell almost directly on the path. Keeping it consistent would help with the over all feel.

Tee:
_____________________________________________________________________
A real west to east hole, shooting off the tee into the sun. This first shot should get you clear of the water try to set it down near the first set of triplet bunkers. Long drivers this is where you can show your stuff, just pray that the wind is in your favor. Those of us that can’t hit the 300 you have nothing to worry about other than a nasty slice or hook could end you up in the water. You, 300+ watch out for the 3 bunkers on the north side. Sticking close to the north side will provide a better chance at a good lie for the green
_____________________________________________________________________
Fairway (FW):
_____________________________________________________________________
The FW here will do a little shimmy to the north after the 3 bunkers on the north about 380 it shimmy’s and narrows the FW up to the next triplet of bunkers but on the south side. If you go too far south you’ll end up contending with rocks and bunkers for your second LZ. Your final approach to the green will have you smiling all the way to the club house as the FW expands out to the largest area it’s been for the hole course.
_____________________________________________________________________
Green:
_____________________________________________________________________
The green is larger the FW is larger, and apparently if you get an albatross on the 18. You get another full 18 on the house along with a new set of clubs…lol this would be great if I didn’t just hit my max stroke on this one. Not nearly as much movement of this green comparatively. Still angled all in one direction but not that great of a slope. Very little red for the final hole of the course. Now it’s time for me to go get really high and take the helicopter tour of the island.

Great work, this is some special work you have done. I have enjoyed this course, it was a pleasure to play and look at all the small details. It is always difficult for me to criticize others hard work, this course was especially difficult as it looks damn near perfect. Nice use of the wooden picnic tables to make a deck. I appreciate the ingenuity to making additions to club houses or making your own buildings instead of using the pre made ones. Utilizing the hedges to cover things up is a great use as well. Adding on and making the store under the stands was an ingenious idea I may take that as well.
