[10 YOE] looking for another set of eyes before I send this to try and get a spot at an MSP
I was looking to send out this resume and with this email. How does it sound?
To whom it may concern:
I came across your recent post on CraigsList and thought that I would be a perfect fit for your company. I have been a one-man IT department for over 10 years and have been responsible for all the same core-competencies as Advanced Computer Technologies.
As you can guess, I have had to do everything from vacuuming out desktop boxes to automating company processes to learning new technologies to implement into our processes. To highlight some of my achievements, when we started to need Macbooks I learned about Apple and Mobile Device Managers (MDM) to manage our assets. When the quarantine lockdown loomed, I was able to leverage the pfSense to provide our users access to our on premise storage that day. I deployed the VPN client and the user credentials via MDM and ensured that everyone was trained and ready the next day. I have learned to connect any data to any application to do anything.
I really feel like I can really be a superstar at ACT and I'm really excited for the opportunity to work there.

2024.05.19 21:36 Healthy_Creme_1149 2024 KC - Rollercoaster of Disappointment

Preseason, KC was the obvious favorite for EVERYTHING. Rightfully so -
Vatira and Rise already had that Moist chemistry which made this roster even scarier. Pair this with the following things and this team could be disgusting, right?
They came out of the gate HOT. 3 straight regionals and a good performance at major. Teams likely had some level of subconscious insecurity going into a match with THE juggernaut, the team everyone said would dookie on everyone for months before the season. There was just that scary aura about this team.
Once the major happened, everything changed. The "scary aura" seemingly vanished. They were beaten multiple times and almost lost a few more.
I believe there was a honeymoon phase paired with steel confidence that was shattered. Rise was looking shaky, Atow went back to the bust side of his boom-or-bust nature that we all saw plenty in his Team Liquid days. Vatira became invisible, he isn't a Zen, Faze Firstkiller, SSG Daniel type player to drag his team across the finish line himself. On Moist, Joyo and Rise were the two leading the charge while Vatira was THE anchor. This glass cannon shattered in record time.
They proceeded to lose in an embarrassing fashion to two teams that had no business ever losing to and likely will miss major 2. If Oxygen and BDS keep performing (and especially if KC choke in qual#6), they will miss Worlds but that is more unlikely.
If this current Oxygen team existed to start the season (or this was a 3 split season) , I don't think KC makes worlds or ends as a top 4 team in EU after Major 1. I do agree that the top 8 should auto-qualify for swiss and hopefully that will be the case next year. But it's not now. And KC lost with every advantage on their side. They crumbled in one of the most epic ways we've ever seen in this e-sport.
That being said, don't be surprised if the script has them winning worlds, L0L. As we saw with 21-22 BDS, all that matters is you performed JUST enough to make worlds, no matter how ugly, and that a team's potential is reached at the right time.

2024.05.19 21:30 PM_BOBS_AND_VEGANE Potplayer Extensions

Hey guys,
so I have been using PotPlayer for a while, it's pretty great with all that it can do if you tweak it right but I have noticed the Extensions tab in settings and it mentions that one can "Extend the program's functionality through external scripts".
There are some scripts added by default but these are just for playing youtube videos and auto searching for movie subs.
I tried googling around and looking for more of these scripts but unfortunately I didn't really get far at all. Most of what I found were some isolated AviSynth scripts on github.
What I wanted to ask is if anyone would happen to know if there is some list or sth of available scripts for Potplayer. Additionally, since I realize that might not exist, is there any such list for AviSynth scripts?
All I got for AviSynth were official pages but those only ever mention example scripts and also this forum called doom9 but the scripts there are quite the chore to go through since all you get is the script name and so you have to go through them one by one

2024.05.19 19:54 AzazeI888 My Favorite 5e character build, The Oracle

Cleric(Fate Domain) 2/Sorcerer(Divine Soul) 1//Wizard(Divination) 2
1st level Fate Domain Cleric Class abilities: Omens and Portents, Ties that Bind Proficiencies; light armor, medium armor, shields, all simple weapons Saving Throws: Wisdom, Charisma, Skills: Insight, Persuasion Spells: Guidance, Mending, Toll the Dead, Guiding Hand, Sanctuary, Dissonant Whispers(Domain spell, Heroism(Domain spell)
2nd level Fate Domain Cleric Class Abilities: Channel Divinity: Strands of Fate Spells: Command
3rd level Divine Soul Sorcerer Class Abilities: Favored by the Gods, Divine Magic: Bless spell Spells: Friends, Message, Mage Hand, Minor Illusion, Detect Thoughts, Suggestion
4th level Wizard Class Abilities: Arcane Recovery Spells: Prestidigitation, Light, Mold Earth, Absorb Elements, Find Familiar, Puppet, Shield, Silent Image, Silvery Barbs
5th level Divination Wizard Class Abilities: Portent Spells: Alarm, Illusionary Script
6th & higher level Divination Wizard
Relevant Class Ability descriptions:
Omens and Portents At 1st level, you can perceive signs of the future in everyday objects and events, such as flights of birds or ripples made in water by a thrown stone. You can cast the Augury spell without expending a spell slot and, when you cast the spell in this way, the spell has no verbal, somatic, or material components. Once you cast the spell in this way, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest. In addition, until you finish a long rest, when you cast a divination spell that includes a chance the DM gives you no answer or a random reading—such as Augury, Commune—reduce that chance by 25 percent.
Favored by the Gods(No action required)) Starting at 1st level, divine power guards your destiny. If you fail a saving throw or miss with an attack roll, you can roll 2d4 and add it to the total, possibly changing the outcome. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Channel Divinity: Strands of Fate(Reaction) At 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to see and manipulate the strands of fate that weave around other individuals. As a bonus action, you can enter this state for up to 1 minute or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell). For the duration, whenever another creature you can see makes an attack roll or an ability check, you can use a reaction to give the roll advantage or disadvantage (your choice).
Portent(No action required) Starting at 2nd level when you choose this school, glimpses of the future begin to press in on your awareness. When you finish a long rest, roll two d20s and record the numbers rolled. You can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with one of these foretelling rolls. You must choose to do so before the roll, and you can replace a roll in this way only once per turn. Each foretelling roll can be used only once. When you finish a long rest, you lose any unused foretelling rolls.
My general strategy in combat is cast Bless (concentration) and Sanctuary (bonus action, no concentration needed), then use my action to do dodge actions to make myself extremely hard to hit along with decent AC(medium armor and shield), all attacks needing to make a DC to attack you because of sanctuary spell, and all enemy attacks having disadvantage because of dodge. If needed, you have silvery barbs/strands of fate for more dice manipulation as a reaction, along with Portent & Favored by the Gods as more dice manipulation that doesn’t require any action, I think the build makes a great prophet or oracle, and support character for a party.

2024.05.19 19:19 ChaosBuckle Running into some weird bugs/issues and was wondering where they're coming from.

Basically, I have my starting event and cutscene, it finishes up nicely, self switch A turns on and player control begins. I save the game at this point but when I load the save...its as if none of the intro went off at all, everything is back in the starting position waiting for the event to start.

Also when I do a player transfer event, the player doesn't show up after the transition nor can you move unless I explicitly use a set player move route event to set the character's graphic again as part of the transfer event.
This seems...pretty bizarre and after going over it a hundred times, there seems to be no mistakes with my events that should be causing this, its all relatively simple. Auto start event, dialog ensues, switch turns on, event over.
My game uses the 8-Bit all in one retro pack as a base and I'm working off the same project included with it which already has animations, database and resources set up. Could this be the cause?
No scripts, pretty much nothing else added other than that.

[0 YoE] ME Grad, Needs to land something within 2 months or I'm gone (VISA situation)
I would like some pointers to improve my bullet points and other problems you see. Targeting ME roles in any industry at this point. No internships during college, holding 5 months of project management experience and 1 month of SolidWorks as an ME intern (counting by dates and not entire month). I am on F-1 OPT and it seems next to impossible to find an employer that will sponsor at my degree and experience level.
Answering some expected questions from my resume.
  1. Why was your first role only two months? Hired assuming I didn't need sponsorship. A rare HR "oops" moment. I am partly to blame. I will post details in an appropriate subreddit and link it in an edit (no promises). I was suggested to call this role an internship and not full time to avoid this question, is that sound advice?
  2. How are you back in the same role? I am a contractor now. I approached a contracting company for help and they approached my management and things worked out. For those who understand immigration jargon, the contracting company is not E-verified and I have to leave if I want my STEM extension.
2nd time posting so I want to address some comments from when I posted first.
  1. Got picked on for identifying "Design Lead" on senior design project. Mixed opinions from reddit users so I kept it. How are we feeling about it now? It doesn't mislead a recruiter into thinking it was a position.
  2. Someone said my resume looked like a generalist and not a specialist, with about 5 months of exp in project management, how do I tailor my resume to make me sound like I'm a PM specialist?
Thank you.
EDIT: Added a question about first role.

2024.05.19 18:21 Formal-Win6604 add-on that prevents changing gear?

Hello everyone, i have only recently came back to WoW (retail) after a long break since legion. I've managed to get myself back some decent ui addons but it seems there is one add-on that prevents me from upgrading my gear, as in, i cant equip better gear. I am also running Zygor for the time, and i allow zygor to auto update my gear, and it tries but there is probably another add-on that undo that action, however i have been looking for a while now to see what add-on might be causing this.
Afaik i have no other addons enabled that should take care of my equipment, but surely somewhere some addon decides that my ilvl 1 with no stats sandals are better then anything i have with me, or my weapon is fine when i have 3 decent upgrades just carrying around. I just don't know if there is any way i can see what addon kicks in, is there anything like some debugging code or script which might help me troubleshooting this? As of now, i have no clue and from all the addons i am running there should really be nothing else except for zygor handling this. To make matters even worse, i cant even manually equip this gear which really starts to piss me off more then it should.
If anyone know how i can fix this situation or at least might have a look at what is going on here, it be really apriciated.

2024.05.19 15:58 adultanim IP-adapter for clothes/poses questions

Working with IP adapters and a comic/anime generating checkpoint, I've been able to create nice consistent face results for a comic.
IP adapter does 70%-80% of the job, and then I go into Photoshop to tune levels/gama, add some characteristic elements (an earring or a tattoo, for example) , and pass it through SD again for final touches. So far, so good!
Where I get lose now is clothing. I download all safepoints from hugging face (https://huggingface.co/h94/IP-Adaptetree/main), but in A1111 some seem to be missing from the list of available processors once I select IP Adapter. For example, I downloadedip-adapter-plus_sd15.safetensors and relaunched SD, but I still can't see it from the dropdown menu.
What I do see is ip-adapater-auto, which I did not download, and I guess this is just part of the script where it attempts to identify the matching model. This I'm basiing on the fact that when I run IP adapter, I see "ip-adapter-auto ==> ip-adapter-clip-g" which tells me it automatically switched to the appropriate preprocessor.
The issues is when I choose ip-adapter-auto from the preprocessor list with ip-adapater-sdxl, I get an error: "RuntimeError: Input type (torch.cuda.FloatTensor) and weight type (torch.FloatTensor) should be the same." I still see ip-adapter-auto ==> ip-adapater-clip-g.
What I'm trying to figure out is:
  1. Which preprocessor should I use for clothes, or generic body recognition, like poses? Should it still be ip-adapter-auto? If not, where do I get it from?
  2. several documentations say to run the sd15 Preprocessor or sd15 clip. I do have ip-adapter_sd15.safetensors inside /models/ControlNet, but I do not see it on the list. Can this be because of the checkpoint I'm using, a SDXL one?
  3. If you have a workflow to copy clothes/poses in SD using A1111, do you mind sharing? I know I can use PS, and I do. I can get by with simple clothing pretty well. But I'm wondering about SD specifically.
Thank you!

2024.05.19 10:04 Crafty_Sample1682 Maplestory (GMS and MSEA) Monster Life Discharge Macro using G HUB Lua script

Hi, I know this may be against game policy and may bring criticism. But Monster Life is over soon, so I thought those in hurry of making level 40 farm in MSEA and GMS would NEED this. No meso cubes but meso caps, why play nice...
This is a video of what fully scripted auto care & discharge should look like : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZj9XyKVERM&t=1s . However, I'm not a software engineer or any coding related expert; so, my script i'm sharing is only discharge part (you would either have to find a different or make this better if you want it to be fully automatic like the video)
Credits to 경제분석박사 for sharing this script https://www.inven.co.kboard/maple/2302/15022 loooong ago. I edited my scrlpt based on this. Having said this, I don't take any troubleshooting questions; I'm no expert (if I did it, you 200% can fix it)
So before using this, a few requirements and basics:
  1. You need logitech mouse to connect to G HUB
  2. You need about 12,000,000 Waru in your Monster Life for fully leveling to 40 (More if you don't have Pharaoh Yeti <- btw always lock this to not mistakenly discharge it)
The basics
  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyg93s_XPdw . watch this video to set up Lua features. I didn't scan and make new profile for Maplestory because when it runs it turns to desktop profile and glitched. So, I recommend using Desktop profile as it is.
  2. The OutCount = n (*at 26 now) is how many you want to discharge in one run. Change "n" as per your monsters out
  3. You may notice in the scrlpt , there is CarePet function. I used it to hit additional enter after RemovePet function (the discharge), so manually "Auto Take Care" first before using this (buying C-grade box and opening them is also manual)
  4. I put the Monster Life in full screen and adjusted the absolute mouse position to click the check box that appear in the center when discharge was clicked. Monster Life is usually 1024 * 768 but if yours is somehow not, then you may need to either adjust screen size or the scrlpt itself "MoveMouseTo(31065, 36865)" <--- it means (x,y) or (left to right, low to high)
  5. Hover your mouse cursor to the first monster to be discharge (one right to Pharaoh Yeti) then press 5 (4:08 of the lua intro video)to run it as shown in the photo below
In the lua script code dialog copy the script below and load it
count = 0 -- 조합카운트
OutCount = 26 --돌보기후 펫방출 반복횟수
function OnEvent(event, arg)
OutputLogMessage("event = %s, count = %d, arg = %dn", event, count,arg)

Video Demo: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NJXZc4g8cEKy8L-3vIn9JHwFjw1SXjjY/view?usp=sharing
Hey guys, so this is an extension of Ianxofour's voidless void trading set up but made to be fully automatic for getting an infinite number of emeralds in survival. It uses two string trading villagers, a string duper some where on the rail, and a pretty simple AHK script to automate everything. Idk how y'all feel about scripts, but it makes my Minecraft experience more fun so I use them in my survival worlds...
The way it works is that you double click the top edge of the button while sitting in a minecart to open the trading menu and send you far enough from the villager that when you trade it doesn't consume the villager's trade inventory. The string duplicator makes sure you never run out of string. The script does all this but also every 40 trades, it empties your inventory into a chest so that you can fill your inventory with emeralds again.
Build Instructions:
  1. Create Ianxofour's voidless void trading set up with two fisherman villagers, with the rail running in the east west direction. One side will serve as the "starting side" for the purposes of the script, in the picture it is the left one.
  2. Create a string duplicator such that the string drops over the player rail (plenty of videos on this on YT)
  3. When facing the villager on the starting side in the player minecart, place a chest on your right one block up with two air blocks between you and the chest. (This is for emptying your inventory so it can be run for longer)
Script "as is" requirements:
The villager on the starting side needs to have string as the second trade, and the other side must have string as the first trade. 1920x1080 monitor, GUI size auto.
Use Instructions:
Enter windowed mode. Set your render and simulation distance to the minimum. Sit in the minecart on the starting side facing the villager, and looking straight down. Use f3 to make sure you are perfectly aligned. With the script running, press ctrl-g to start the farm. To exit the script press ctrl-esc
Final notes and customization Script Google Docs Link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-roqM4cY0MdShEIXzLrr0ue8zOeZLIwkEDrpjrne-nQ/edit?usp=sharing (You need to create a txt file, and save as .ahk)
The script is not perfect, but on my machine is extremely consistent and works overnight. Things like the amount your mouse moves can be changed to work with your computer if you so desire. Additionally you could mess with timings and rail design to optimize. On my survival world I have two string dupers since just one doesn't generate enough string.
I realize it would be outclassed by something using the end gateways, but I hate dealing with transporting mobs more than anything. Just thinking about it I'm getting flashbacks to making a shulker farm.

2024.05.19 07:16 smellytrashyy My code works properly in Codepen, but not in a website host. Help.

I made this code with the help of AI, I read rule 10 but trust me this kept me up at night (bad at coding). Can somebody please explain why it only works properly in Codepen, but not when I place it in a website host? I saved it as styles.css, index.html, script.js., then to a folder, then zipped it.
When I put it in Codepen, the questions drop down when I choose the gender, this doesn't work in the website host. Any help/tip is appreciated. Thanks!

Roll-a-Ball Tutorial Compiler Errors
I am attempting to do the Roll-a-Ball tutorial, but keep getting compiler errors when I try to "Apply Force to the Player". I cannot find an error in my code, but am also completely new to coding. When following alongside the video, I noticed that certain terms didn't auto-highlight like it showed in the video (e.g., Rigidbody, InputValue, Vector2, Vector3)--is that an issue?
I've updated both Unity and Microsoft Visual Studio, removed Rigidbody and the PlayerController script and re-added them. None of it affected the outcome.
Either there's nothing wrong with my code or I can't FindTheSniper for crap. ;D
Photos and link included. Any help is much appreciated!

EDIT: Added screenshots.
SOLVED: Issue was that UnityEngine.InputSystem replaced UnityEngine in line 3, rather than being added. You need both sequentially as lines 3 & 4.

2024.05.19 05:51 BoatInternational180 Pop up that says the settings have changed.

Hi all, my script works great but people keep asking "is it running?". It's tough to educate them that the chart annotations and strategy tester shows that the script is working. They want to see a big red/green start button. It's like sitting in an electric car for the first time and asking "is it on?".
The consequence is they give up unless they fully understand the TV indicator system and how it works.
Is it possible to have a pop-up come up to say "Settings updated. Script is running and active"? Then they click Ok to confirm it is running psychologically. This would be ideal to happen after any change to the settings (cog icon) which already runs the script and updates the chart and strategy tester.
It would also be nice to have a pop-up after creating an Alert in the Alert sidebar that says "Alert configured. If you have an auto-trading bot connected though the Alert, please make sure it is switched on". By this I mean mizar, 3commas, etc.
TIA
