2024.05.20 06:08 alittleunique WTF Athleta

About 5 years ago I discovered Athleta had xxs and was so thrilled. Finally, swimsuits that fit and weren't string bikinis! And jackets, leggings, oh my! I tend to shop in spurts because I get so frustrated trying find things that fit. Since it's been a few years, I decided it was time to get some more swimsuits and athletic wear and Facebook had been serving me ads of cute Athleta tanks with built in bras! (As a member of the IBTC I so badly want to join the revival of shelf bra tanks) Lo and behold, after searching around, I find out that Athleta has stopped making anything in XXS other than in black, white, or sometimes navy, if they have XXS at all! I feel for the plus size girls of yesteryear who only had the options of black tents for shirts. But in this day and age of size inclusivity, why are they taking away our small sizes!? It seems like every time I find a good option, it's gone the next year. Especially as I've been trying to only buy quality pieces, and more natural fibers, it's even harder. I don't want to support fast fashion tween stores, but that's what I keep having to go back to.

Diamond 4 solo Q
Finally hit Diamond, threshold seems to be 14K my position was 13.36k. Mainly did solo Q, LFG discords were hit or miss and ultimately evened out. Mained Medium turret up until plat 2, then healer to upper plat 1. And for the final push I learned Heavy. The trick to ranking up is honestly using heavy, easiest class to learn, hardest to take down, feels like cheese sometimes. See y’all back in ranked for Season 3, until then probably only gonna do circuit challenges

2024.05.20 06:03 Comprehensive5432 Is this addisons?

So i feel like im in a dream like state every day, i dont react to bad thinga happening at all. Moat days im lacking some amount of energy or am fatigued for the entire day or i crash depending on things i do or eat very easily. I usually have to lay down when i crash and i get anxious when this happens. I had a night where i woke up in the middle of the night shaking and was anxious, i wouldn’t stop shaking for like 20 minutes probably even when my anxiety got better. My perception was off upon waking up that night. But like i said when i do things i can easily lose energy and crash, putting my legs up makes me feel less anxious and better. I for the most part feel debilitated when trying to do a lot of things in fear of a crash. I an acth stimulation test to check my cortisol levels and they came back suggesting adrenal insufficiency all though initially my cortisol was baseline my doctor said he didn’t know how to interpret it. I feel so off everyday and people are starting to doubt that im still dealing with this but it sucks and i am. Its also starting to feel easier to get down after months of dealing with this. I had to transfer my primary care doctor and it will take a week for the screening then i can get an appointment scheduled with a regular doctor before getting a referral. I get scared a lot because of how i feel at times and it makes me anxious. What is this most likely i also quit lexapro like 8 weeks ago i think, but ling enough to where there shouldnt be withdrawal symptoms anymore. Ive also ha do panic attacks in the last 4 months and dealt with major fatigue, tiredness has changed a lot but still shows up some days. Also i feel off balanced at times. This honestly is no way to live and sucks so bad.

The Satanic panic is a moral panic consisting of over 12,000 unsubstantiated cases of Satanic ritual abuse (SRA, sometimes known as ritual abuse, ritualistic abuse, organized abuse, or sadistic ritual abuse) starting in the United States in the 1980s, spreading throughout many parts of the world by the late 1990s, and persisting today.
Original Post May 9, 2024
Sorry if this is a longer post, but important context below ⬇️
So yeah I'm a program coordinator at our local YMCA and I run an after-school program (effectively am a glorified babysitter hahaha). This past school year I passively mentioned that I play a lot of DnD when one of the kids asked me if I had any plans that weekend, and it totally piqued their interest when I explained to them what the game was like/about. Naturally they asked if they could try and play and I figured sure why not, I'll write a fun and fam friendly one-shot for them.
They all absolutely loved it. It's turned into a proper campaign with about 7 of the 24 kids me and my coworkers look after consistently playing. I've had to limit the sessions to just 1-2 days of the 5 day school week, because I have other kids too that aren't interested in it, and I obviously still need to give them attention and interaction as well (and as you know DnD can be a very engaged and attention demanding). I thought this was a fair compromise. Days that it's nice outside we are always out running around, being active, playing sports -- but if it's a rainy day, or on our weekly Friday Movie Day, we generally play. It's been such a blast sharing something I love so deeply with kids who I care about so much.
So here comes the issue:
Almost every parent of the core group that plays loves that we are doing this (one even plays weekly and we bonded over it haha), but there is one child whose parents certainly do not; they want their kid just constantly active and engaged and playing sports, not playing "silly make believe", which I guess I get to a degree because this is kinda the MO of the YMCA traditionally; healthy active living.

I've explained that most days of the week we do just that, and that this is something we only do on Fridays or rain days when we are stuck inside, but they aren't budging. I think they have a misguided idea of the game and what it is, or maybe they are just fundamentally against it, I'm not sure. I don't think it's to the level of like the era of thought where media and the masses thought DnD was some kind of satanic game, but I feel like there could certainly be a bit of that.

Anyway they want it to stop immediately. I've told them I'm not forcing anyone to play, and that if they really feel that way they are within their rights to tell their child they don't want him playing, but they are trying to take it a step farther and get it banned. ALSO I would feel horrible if this child were forbade from playing while all his friends have a blast doing so. Just doesn't seem right.
I understand that it's a game that can involve more mature themes and gameplay, and probably isn't reeeeeeeeally for super young folk, but I feel the way I'm running it mitigates this for the most part: there's no PVP (so no bullying can happen), I'm dealing with waaaaaay less serious themes and stakes, and I don't even include any circumstances where they fight any other humanoids -- strictly just heroes fighting big bad monsters and saving towns. You know the drill.
So yeah long story short(ish) the parents of the one child have called a meeting with HR to discuss the playing of this game at the YMCA. I have it on Sunday. I'm confident I'm gonna have to effectively state my case and explain why I think this is not only an okay thing to be doing, but actually in fact a good thing. I don't know if I'll be able to fully sway them if their mind is already made up, all I can do is just speak my truth haha.
I do whole-heartedly think this game can be super beneficial for young folk. I'll spare you my long form thoughts, but between the teamwork and communication required and rewarded, the problem solving (both ethically and logically and mathematically), AND the improvisation emphasized, I think it stimulates a young mind very well. Lets them escape their own world for a bit and take agency and feel they have control, something young people so desperately desire.
So in conclusion, I'm kinda just writing this to get it off of my chest and vent, BUT I guess my questions would be:

Or maybe you disagree with me and think I'm out of line here, which is totally fair too. Just looking to start some dialogue.

I know it is a hassle, but if you get to keep Dnd, you might want to start requiring permission slips. That way, you could avoid this in the future.
The_Law_Of_Pizza
This will make it less likely for the OP to get a surprise angry parent, but I don't like the precedent of demanding permission slips for a mundane board game.
It sets up an expectation that D&D is different in some way, and gives ammunition to these weirdos who are still trapped in the Satanic Panic - it lets them point to the permission slips and say, "Look, even your own policies admit that this is something to be hidden behind barriers and parental approval."
At a certain point we have to stand up to these people in society and tell them that they're being ridiculous and that we won't concede to their demands under any circumstances. That takes a great deal of backbone by the YMCA administration, though.

Geez. Really putting the "C" in YMCA. I imagine looking into how people fought back during the "Satanic Panic" might provide some good advice for this.

Update May 13, 2024
Made a post a few days ago about how I run a DnD campaign for some kids in an after-school program I run for the YMCA, and subsequently how the parents of one of the kids was trying to get the game banned and whole operation shut down. I wasn't sure the best way to make an update, but I linked the whole original post above so you can have a read if you'd like ^
So firstly genuine genuine genuine big thanks to everyone who took the time to read and respond with input and suggestions. It means a ton and really helped a lot. So I'm just gonna jump right in with what happened.
Firstly, I took the advice about getting testimonies from parents who were super happy that I was playing this game with their kids -- we weren't allowed to have outside visitors involved in the actual meeting with HR, but I got emails and messages from mostly every parent (besides the one complaining about it lmao) to voice their support and why they think this is not a harmful thing, and in fact actually a good thing. I really think this helped a lot and was a big factor, so thanks everyone who suggested. It's not something I would've thought to do on my own ahahah.
I didn't want to come in toooooo heavy with the articles and very clear scientific proof about the benefits of developing minds playing TTRPGs', because (as it turned out) this was actually more just conversational and "pleasant" than I thought it was gonna be, at least from HRs side. I did mention to them the multiple studies done on this exact scenario, but it turned out I didn't even really need them. There were definitely moments of tension, but this was a more civil conversation than I anticipated from all parties involved. I'm not sure if it was the fact that the parents who complained had to talk to me in person WITH my bosses and HR reps present and it calmed them down a bit? But yeah anyway.
I wish it was a more dramatic story, but basically I just levelled with them person to person.
People who said they were betting on it being a Christian, satanic-panic angle: you were right, mostly anyway. As in, that was definitely a main part of their argument. They are in fact Christian and were concerned, but it was really coming from a place of ignorance about what this game is about, and they specifically didn't understand the fact that the DM (me) can entirely control what the contents of it is. I'm assuming they just googled DnD and probably saw some things they didn't agree with, but once I explained that the way we were playing it included no demon spawn or worshipping, or any killing of other humans, or allowing of murder-hobo activity, they softened up a bit. I told them it's a strictly G/PG rated experience that I'm curating for them. And of course I explained the social and academic benefits of DnD, and how much of a bonding activity this is for the group, and how much their son in particular loves it. This helped big time.
Ironically, it was their other argument about wanting active engagement for their child (ie; sports lol) that was a little harder to combat. From their and HRs perspective, this whole program and the YMCAs MO IS in fact healthy active engagement. I explained that most days of the week we are doing just that. I'm a tennis instructor as well and have played sports all my life (and they know this), so I tried to assure them that I get their child a SOLID amount of engagement (plus free tennis lessons effectively haha). I'll save you the whole back and forth, but this was a majority of our 45 minute meeting.
Im trying to wrap this up with a bow but not sure exactly how, so I'll just finish with the bullet points from the end of the discussion:
• The game is not banned! HOORAY HOORAY!
• I am now only allowed to play it with them once a week (on Friday), but all things considered I'll take this as a win!
• and best of all, the complained parents are letting their kid continue to play!!!! I'm sending them a detailed summary of the contents of my game so they can look it over, but they said with it now "officially" only being once a week, and with a better understanding of what it actually is, they will let him to continue to play. I'm so unbelievably happy.
So boom. Happy ending. Again big thanks to everyone for giving their advice and linking resources; it helped so much and meant a lot. This is a big win for "the community" I feel, at the risk of sounding too corny. You are all the best. I love this game so much 🥹
RELEVANT COMMENTS
OOP explains how they made DnD G/PG rated
So the method I've taken is that this is mainly an explorative and mystery solving campaign. There is combat occasionally, but it's heeeeeavy on the RP aspect of these aforementioned things (aka 7 kids screaming over each other lmao)
I briefly mentioned in the previous post that when I do involve combat I don't include any that js player versus any humanoids -- so no "killing" of bandits or raiders or pirates or anything resembling, it's strictly taking out big bad monsters, or a big spidebats/owlbear or whatever when it does happen. This takes a big amount of the potential nastiness out: Timmy cant go home saying "Mom I killed 4 dudes today!", regardless if he understands the deeply political and socio-economic rooted reasons why it may be justified he did that 🙄 hahahah.
So yeah eliminated that entirely, strayed away from words like "kill" or "dead" or certainly "murdered", and have a very very "heroes save the town from mishaps" type adventure. For a quick example our last plot hook/beat (which ended up taking up like 3 Fridays because of how long it can take with young kids hahaha) involved them stumbling into a town and discovering that it holds the map to an ancient treasure that is rumoured to be buried in a magical woods nearby. Maaaaaany puzzles and skill checks later they found it deep in the woods by a magic tree and had to answer (very basic) riddles from the speaking and living tree in order to get access to it. They succeeded and absolutely loved it and there was no combat at all.

2024.05.20 06:00 NalaAddict Confusion

I guess I'm at a point where I'm not sure how to feel. Back in 1999 I switched to Wicca, and later Asatru. It was not until 2016 that I returned to the faith. I had a solid belief prior to this that God was in fact real, beyond even just faith.
Then I returned, and I must say, what vexes me the most is that I do not see the fruits of the spirit. Many attitudes, language, have not changed in the slightest. The immense peace and at times conviction that people claim to experience, simply is not there either.
I've seen people say that the unforgivable sin is not in fact what it appears to be, and yet I question that assertion with the comparison to my experiences. I have recently been the target of two separate demonic dreams (I have a perfect dream memory). The first one was terrifying, the second one was so gross that I almost threw up after waking up. I was under the impression that Christians were in some way protected or spared from such horrors, but it seems not. I am easily able to distinguish between a dream that is normal or routine, or even a stretch of the two, but these two were out of all classification and felt like attacks.
You know where the bible says, "Depart, I do not know you"?, yeah, that's a real fear for me. Mind that I do deal with both adhd and aspergers, so those also factor in to everything. That does not diminish the heavy thoughts on all of this though. I am curious as to your thoughts on the topic.

2024.05.20 06:00 Basaraski Dog won't eat anything. Tried everything, please help

My 7 year old Bernese Mountain Dog (Male/118lb) has been through a lot the last couple of weeks. It all started when we found a lump on his left hind leg (kneecap area). Got a needle aspirate of it, came back inconclusive. Then got a punch biopsy done of the lump. Two days after the biopsy he started to not eat regularly, but still did a tiny bit on his own when given something tasty. Then that turned into not eating at all, and he was really out of it. Took him to the ER last monday (5/13) and he was diagnosed with Anaplasmosis, and anemia. His platelets were also very low. He was set on a 30-day course of Doxycycline (550mg /day). The next day the biopsy came back as cancer. The exact type is unknown yet, but it's listed as a differential diagnosis of histiocytic sarcoma, large cell lymphoma, and poorly differentiated round cell tumor. Further tests have been sent out and hopefully come back soon. We also had chest x-rays done at our vet after this news, and they saw nothing in terms of the cancer spreading to his chest. His bloodwork was also done, I'll post it down below, but that was on Wed (5/15). The Doxy has been making him extremely nauseous, and he will not eat a single thing on his own. We've tried everything. Boiled chicken, steak, wet food, dry food, snacks, bacon, even McDonalds... he wants none of it. We've also given him cerenia, and tried two different appetite stimulants (Entyce / Mirtazapine) and none of that works. He seems disgusted by the smell of any food. We also give him carafate 1 hour before the doxy to help with the nausea. We also switched his Doxy dose to twice daily rather than all at once. Our local vet advised this, although the ER said to do once daily (This has made him much less nauseous after taking it, but still not eating). He has also seemingly had a fever since last Monday. It has slightly come down, but has been at a steady 103.5 for the last few days, only once dipping below 103, but then it went back up the next morning (could be our at home thermometer?). I feel he is stuck in an endless loop. Needs the Doxy to cure the anaplasmosis, but will not eat on it, and isn't getting better. He's drinking water just fine, and using the bathroom fine. We've been forced to syringe feed him everynight in the fear of him getting no food, plus he needs some food with the Doxy. We've been making a puree of different foods, and tonight gave him an 'Under the weather - high calorie gel' in hopes to get some needed nutrients in him.
We keep hoping that tomorrow is the day he finally eats. Today he did show improvement by at least putting a cookie in his mouth and bit down, but let the pieces fall out of his mouth. We are really at a loss here, and would love some tips, pointers or just some advice. He has an oncology appointment on Tuesday, so maybe that will give some answers/allow him to be on a steroid which would maybe make him want to eat. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

🔗Professional Dryer Vent Cleaning Kit with Clockwise Rod Rotation

https://preview.redd.it/nzx2lzih8i1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9e7ad85edd7186892eb1404cba4f1eabe7a3ac9
During my research for dryer vent cleaning options, the Holikme 30-Feet Dryer Vent Cleaner Kit stood out as a solid option. The kit comes with a high-quality synthetic brush head and durable rods that extend up to 6.1 meters, making it incredibly flexible and convenient for reaching those tricky spots.
One of the standout features of this product was its adaptability to be used with or without a power drill, giving users the option to choose their method based on personal preference or the scope of the cleaning task at hand. However, despite the convenience and range of this device, I did encounter a few issues during my testing.
Firstly, certain components of the kit seemed to be made of a cheaper quality material, leading to a concern over the durability of the product. One specific issue I faced was getting stuck in my dryer vent and needing professional help to remove it. This was both frustrating and costly, impacting my overall experience with the Holikme 30-Feet Dryer Vent Cleaner Kit.
On the flip side, when utilized with caution and the appropriate precautions, such as keeping the drill in forward direction, the kit managed to perform as advertised. I was impressed by how easy it was to clean the vents, removing the trapped lint and dust that had been accumulating. The convenience of the device and its effectiveness outweigh the minor drawbacks for me.
In conclusion, if used carefully, the Holikme 30-Feet Dryer Vent Cleaner Kit is an effective and flexible solution for cleaning various vents and ducts. However, potential users should be warned of the cheaper components that may negatively affect the longevity of the product and potential issues in certain contexts.

Being a reviewer, I decided to give the TCP Global Professional 23 Piece Spray Gun Cleaning Kit a try. The kit arrived well-organized in a compact carrying case. The variety of brushes and cleaning tools made it easy to tackle every nook and cranny of my paint spray gun.
My favorite feature has to be the aluminum holder for the mini end brushes. It's perfect for keeping them neat and tidy during use. Another highlight was the range of sizes for the flexible tube cleaning brushes. They made it simple to clean both the fluid and air inlets, as well as the gun body.
One minor drawback was the lack of a pouch or something similar for storage. The compact case is great, but a separate pouch would have made transportation even easier. However, that doesn't take away from the overall quality and usefulness of this cleaning kit. I found myself reaching for it anytime I needed to clean my spray gun.
So, if you're looking for an affordable and efficient set of tools to keep your paint spray gun in top shape, this TCP Professional 23 Piece Spray Gun Cleaning Kit is definitely worth considering.

As someone who frequently uses their AR-15 and AR-10 rifles, I recently tried out the RangeMaxx Tactical Cleaning Kit. This compact kit is designed to simplify the cleaning process for modern sporting rifles, thanks to the special brushes and tools it provides.
The cleaning rod is ergonomic and easy to use, while the rugged molded case keeps everything secure. I appreciated the range of brushes, including the. 22 and. 308 bolt carrier brushes, as well as the versatile cleaning patches. However, I would have liked a more durable cleaning rod.
Overall, the RangeMaxx Tactical Cleaning Kit made my cleaning routine more efficient and convenient.

🔗Rotary 16597 Carburetor Jet Cleaning Tool Kit

https://preview.redd.it/nq74e0oi8i1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a61474691334bbbf4fada48c160bee95a91e7816

I recently tried the Rotary 16597 Carburetor Cleaning Tool as a solution for my clogged carburetor. After struggling with cleaning a stubborn carburetor, I was impressed by how easy this tool made the process. The Helix storage case held ten wire sizes, which were perfect for covering the most common jet sizes.
Cleaning the jets and passageways felt like a breeze with this powerful tool. However, I did experience a minor hiccup when the wire size I needed was accidentally damaged during usage.
Overall, the Rotary 16597 Carburetor Cleaning Tool is a handy tool to have in your mechanic's toolbox, but just be careful with the fragile wires.

🔗Springfield M14/M1A Chamber Cleaning Tool for .308 Rifles

https://preview.redd.it/m3p3eo4j8i1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ad18e26aa361e57b07b03172352e26330a2af56
I've been using this GG&G M14/M1A Chamber Cleaning Tool for quite a while now, and let me tell you, it's a game changer for anyone who needs a reliable and efficient chamber cleaning tool for their Springfield M14 or M1A rifle.
The rugged design of this tool is one of its standout features, with a jag that has a slotted tip perfect for accepting patches and a universal joint that allows you to achieve the optimal angle for thorough cleaning. Built with 6061 T6 aluminum, it's sturdy enough to handle any cleaning task without causing any damage to the rifle chamber.
But that's not all! The package also includes a 3" x 0.490" OD phosphor bronze chamber brush, which works like a charm in cleaning even the most stubborn carbon deposits. And don't forget about the rubber-coated, non-slip plastic handle that provides a tight grip for optimal application of cleaning torque.
Of course, with any product, there's always a tradeoff. But in my experience, the pros of this tool far outweigh the cons. The GG&G M14/M1A Chamber Cleaning Tool is a must-have for anyone who wants to keep their Springfield rifle in top shape.

🔗Bottom-Up Chimney Cleaning System with Reversible Spinning Whip

https://preview.redd.it/7o5mg3gj8i1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa8aa652007026811a3c2f08f59105ac47ee7b56
The Gardus SootEater Rotary Chimney Cleaning System is a handy tool for cleaning your wood stove and fireplace chimneys from the bottom up. It utilizes flexible rods with button connect fittings and a spinning chimney whip that can be trimmed to fit, making it more efficient in removing soot and creosote compared to a traditional brush. The device is easy to operate with a power drill, and it helps keep your family safe by reducing the risk of chimney fires.
One of the highlights of this cleaning system is its ability to clean from the bottom, which can be a challenge with other tools. It also fits through tight areas and can be set to spin forward and reverse, making it more versatile. However, one potential downside is that it can be quite a workout to use for long chimneys, as it might require you to take the chimney cleaning rods with you when traveling.
Overall, the Gardus SootEater Rotary Chimney Cleaning System is a great tool for those looking for a more efficient and safer way to clean their chimneys. Its flexibility and ease of use are big pros, but be prepared for some physical exertion when dealing with longer chimneys.

🔗Effortless Fabric Defuzzer: Customizable Pilling Remover

https://preview.redd.it/z4kh36rj8i1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9cee4403f7ed883921bea09e3a37db00c487e118
Recently, I discovered the Conair Fabric Defuzzer and decided to give it a try. After all, who wouldn't want a tool that promised to keep their clothes looking new and fresh?
The device's large shaving head quickly became one of my favorite highlights. It easily removed pills, threads, and fuzz from various fabrics without causing any damage. I found this feature particularly helpful when tackling pilling on my favorite sweaters and blouses.
Another impressive aspect of the Conair Fabric Defuzzer was its adjustable distance control. I could choose the right setting for each fabric, making it easier to remove those pesky pilling issues. Plus, the detachable collection compartment made it a breeze to empty without any mess.
However, I did notice a few drawbacks. Although the device took battery power, it wasn't the most energy-efficient one out there. The batteries seemed to drain quickly, so I often found myself making trips to the store to purchase new ones.
Additionally, I found that the lint catcher's design could be improved. Sometimes, the fuzz didn't come out easily, and I had to manually scoop it out or tap the container to empty it completely.
Despite these minor issues, the Conair Fabric Defuzzer proved to be a valuable addition to my wardrobe maintenance routine. It effectively removed pilling on clothes and left them feeling smooth and fresh.

🔗Compact Meeco Red Devil Chimney Brush (30808) for Efficient Cleaning

https://preview.redd.it/w7xdyt9k8i1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54c1a7e7e7170c08057f1c7fb0a07154524bed87
I recently had the chance to try out Meeco's Red Devil wire chimney brush with model number 30808. As someone who values a thorough and hassle-free cleaning experience, I was excited to see how this product would perform.
The first thing I noticed about the Meeco Red Devil was its compact and low-profile design. This feature made navigating the brush through the chimney surprisingly easy, especially in tight angles and bends up to 90 degrees. I appreciated the convenience that this aspect offered, as it allowed me to reach areas I might have otherwise missed.
However, while the brush did a good job at cleaning the sides and corners of the chimney liner, I encountered a minor issue when trying to clean the lower sections. The fiberglass rod kit in this set started to flex as I moved deeper into the chimney, causing the brush to lose contact with the walls. This made the cleaning process a bit more challenging, and I couldn't help but feel that the brush could have been designed to expand to the size of the chimney for a more consistent and effective clean.
Overall, the Meeco Red Devil wire chimney brush 30808 proved to be a useful addition to my cleaning arsenal. Its compact design and ability to navigate tight spaces made it a standout product, but the occasional loss of contact between the brush and the walls in deeper parts of the chimney was a drawback. Despite this minor issue, I would still recommend this brush to anyone seeking a thorough cleaning experience for their chimney.

🔗Universal Grill Scraper Tool with Bonus Bottle Opener

https://preview.redd.it/n89s2efk8i1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee636a4479d23e3ea5f1ded96bfdc1b808efd500
Using the Outset Universal Grill Scraper always feels like a game-changer when it comes to grilling. It's got this sturdy 304 stainless steel body that stands up to rough grill surfaces with ease, while also being small enough to easily slip into my pocket. The best part? It’s not just a scrubber - it's also a cleverly designed bottle opener!
One particular feature I find very useful is the flat side. It's perfect for dealing with indoor oven griddles or even outdoor surfaces. Moreover, it's incredibly easy to clean. After a long grilling session, it takes only a few quick rinses and it's as good as new.
However, there is a caution I learned the hard way: it's not suitable for some types of grill plates - porcelain or chrome ones, to be precise. But hey, that's the only drawback.
Overall, considering its versatility, ease of use, and durability, I'd wholeheartedly recommend the Outset Universal Grill Scraper to anyone who's serious about grilling. It's a simple tool, but it makes a world of difference.

🔗Pro-Shot AR-15 Chamber Cleaning Set with Heavy Duty Bore Brush and Stars

As a dedicated gun enthusiast, I was excited to try out the Pro-Shot Chamber Maid AR-15 Chamber Star Cleaning Set. The kit was compact and convenient, with a detachable handle and a flexible steel braid that made cleaning the chamber and lug recesses a breeze. The heavy-duty bronze bore brush with wider-diameter stainless steel bristles was effective in scrubbing the lug recesses, and the #8-32 threads ensured a snug fit.
One of the standout features was the Pro-Shot System, which offered precision engineering, making it a perfect fit for the AR-15 platform. However, I noticed that the cleaning rod could be a bit long for some users, resulting in a less comfortable hold. Nonetheless, the product proved to be efficient in cleaning my AR-15 chamber and lug recesses.

🔗Versatile Dryer Vent and Chimney Cleaning Kit with 6" and 4" Brushes

I recently tried this qidobip Dryer Vent Duct Cleaner Kit, and let me tell you, it made a huge difference in my home. The set comes with a 4-inch and a 6-inch brush, which was perfect for cleaning both my dryer vent and chimney without any hassle. One of the key features that stood out to me was the 12 pieces of 2-foot rods that can extend up to 24 feet - super convenient for those hard-to-reach spots! The flexible reinforced nylon rods were durable and flexible, allowing me to clean corners with up to a 90-degree turn without breaking a sweat.
Now, I need to talk about the quick connector button lock. It was a lifesaver! No need to disconnect during any rotation direction, thanks to this clever feature. What's even better is that you can use the kit with or without a power drill, giving you the flexibility to choose the method that works best for you. Overall, I'm really happy with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use cleaning tool.

🔗Effortless Gutter Debris Cleaner Tool

Recently, I had the opportunity to test out the Gutter Cleaning Tool myself and I must say, it's a game-changer. Gone are the days of trying to wrestle with leaves and debris by hand while standing on a wobbly ladder. This tool effortlessly pulls the mess under the gutter hanger, making the cleaning process a breeze.
I particularly appreciated the unique hook design, which made it easy to reach those hard-to-reach areas. And with its ability to be attached to my own extension pole, I was able to clean gutters without having to move the ladder as often. This proved to be a time-saving feature, especially when dealing with larger gutters.
The tool's performance was impressive, as it effectively pulled leaves and debris through the gutter hangers. Plus, its reasonable cost made it an even more attractive choice. However, it's worth mentioning that you still need to climb up the ladder to use the tool, which could be a minor inconvenience for some users.
Overall, the Gutter Cleaning Tool has become a valuable addition to my toolkit, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to simplify their gutter cleaning experience.

🔗Efficient Chimney Cleaning Kit with Reinforced Nylon Rods

I took the VEVOR Chimney Sweep Kit for a spin in my home, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience! The rich color of the cleaning brush made it look oh-so-fancy as I approached the task ahead.
First off, the high-quality brush head was a game-changer. The sturdy nylon rope bristles ensured it would last a long time, and the special pointed rectangular shape made cleaning the chimney a breeze without scratching it.
The premium nylon rod was a standout feature, too. Its elastic and break-resistant reinforced fibers allowed it to bend at angles greater than 90 degrees, providing the flexibility needed for cleaning those hard-to-reach spots.
The spring button locking system was a breeze to use, and I loved that it wouldn't loosen or disconnect during the rotation process. With the rich chimney cleaner at my side, I was able to remove creosote and other debris efficiently, aiding my fireplace in burning better and saving fuel.
Lastly, the kit came with various combinations to extend to different sizes, allowing me to clean hard-to-reach areas with ease. All in all, the VEVOR Chimney Sweep Kit made my life as a chimney cleaner much easier and more efficient. Highly recommended!

This versatile cleaning tool offers several features that make it an ideal option for cat owners looking to maintain a clean home. Here are some important considerations to keep in mind when selecting the best Catm4 Cleaning Tool for your needs.

Material

https://preview.redd.it/rru6tx8p8i1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7825b2ae9130417436240d69f15f7b4b992bb724
The material of the cleaning tool plays a significant role in its effectiveness and durability. Choose a tool that is easy to clean and resistant to damage. Some models even come with replaceable parts, making it a more cost-effective option in the long run.

Look for a tool with a comfortable grip and ergonomic design that allows for easy handling. The size of the tool should also be suitable for the area you want to clean, such as hard-to-reach spaces or corners.

Power and Performance

Power and performance are crucial factors when selecting a Catm4 Cleaning Tool. This cleaning tool typically operates on battery power, so ensure the tool comes with a rechargeable or replaceable battery. Ensure the tool comes with a warranty that covers any defects or issues, giving you peace of mind when making your purchase.
By taking into account these important factors, you can confidently choose the best Catm4 Cleaning Tool for your home, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for both you and your feline companion. 2024.05.20 05:58 mollymeek Senior dog has shaky/unsteady hind legs. Vet says it's not an issue as long as it isn't causing pain. How can I tell if she's painful or not?

* Species: Dog
* Age: 11
* Sex/Neuter status: Spayed female
* Breed: Mixed breed sighthound
* Body weight: 14kg
* History: Age-related arthritis. Progressive Retinal Atrophy. Dental issues that are being monitored. Taking YuMove supplements at vet's suggestion.
* Clinical signs: Near-constant shaking on hind legs. Still able to walk/run/jump but becomes unsteady after standing for 5/10 mins and seeks support (ie., leaning) or lies down.
* Duration: Approx 3 months
* Your general location: UK
* Links to any test results, X-rays, vet reports etc. that you have: N/A
Hi all! I took my dog to the vet for a checkup recently and mentioned that she seems unsteady on her hind legs. One of her legs in particular gets extremely shaky when she stands on it for more than a couple of minutes. It seems to worsen if she's excited or nervous.
The vet said it wasn't a concern and is likely just a side-effect of her arthritis. He said her arthritis isn't severe, but that I should keep an eye out on her shaky leg especially, and that if she seems to be in pain to bring her in for re-assessment.
My issue is that to my untrained eye she already does seem uncomfortable. She limps a little bit (which the vet saw and said wasn't pain, just reduced mobility.) She still loves to run and jump, and doesn't seem reluctant to do either of those things. I'm just unsure what I should be looking for. The vet said I should manually flex her limbs and feel for a 'crunch' which would tell me that her arthritis is worsening, but I'm not entirely sure what that's meant to feel like, and I'd rather be able to check her for discomfort before her joints get to the 'crunchy' stage, as that sounds like it'd be quite unpleasant for her.
I worry that because she loves to run so much I might miss signs of her being uncomfortable/painful as it's not immediately obvious. Are there any signs I can look out for that may not be obvious to an owner that I can bring up with my vet if needed? Can somebody explain the 'crunch' I should look for when stretching her legs?
TIA!

I think that's great and all but I know for a fact that's far from the only option. I've been eyeing other options not out of dislike but out of learning about my options and choosing what is right for me.
I'm very geared towards teamwork, (really the only thing that brings me any fulfillment when working) so PM and CM paths look very attractive to me.

Summer should be fun! The heavy energy’s gotta go. They say their group is very cliquey (we can tell), so let’s start by breaking up the cliques. Add in a bunch of fun, attractive singles and get rid of the tears and bad vibes. Also, I know they’re casting, but I’d love for the newbies to be real friends with at least someone on the cast. It’s exhausting to watch a group of people who clearly don’t like each other and are only there for the cameras. I'll keep supporting and tellin a friend to tell a friend, but I do hope it reaches its full potential.

The way I self harm is very different than the traditional ways. I don't cut myself, but rather when Im really frustrated and feel especially angry at myself I punch myself. Like aggressive punching my arm, legs, and especially my head.
The worst part is, I often end up having these episodes in public. Because I don't conciously want to selfharm, it just happens naturally, like a fucked up form of stimming, it usually happens in public because thats where im the most frustrated and hateful towards myself.
I feel like such a freak because of it. I had a coworker who would make fun of me for it all the time, and I recently relapsed in front of one of my new friends at a public school concert. I feel disgusted with myself, like a toddler freak of nature throwing a temper tantrum. I honestly just want some thoughts on my situation. I feel so underrepresented with my self harm struggle that I'm desperate for somebody to talk about it with. I feel so alone.

2024.05.20 05:54 imachoculatedonnut I want to know if I was the toxic friend or if my classmates were indeed toxic

So for context, i'm not really fluent in english so sorry if there are grammar mistakes, i'm trying my best, also this story isn't as heavy as some of the stories i've read here, but i want to share my story if someone is currently going through something similar. So I (20 M) graduated from high school a couple years ago after spending 14 years in the same school, the reason is that in my country school is from kindergarden to senior year in the same institution. I arrived when i was 4 years old, since i was little i was described as a shy empathetic boy with a heart of gold, and it was really difficult for me to play with other kids or being included. Through elementary my life was pretty bad for me, for example, when we had to play as a group, my classmates would pick on me for being too slow and would purposely pick me to chase them in games and mock me for the rest of the day, while calling me gay or too soft for "simple jokes", though they knew that it wasn't funny for me and made me cry many times, i was most of the time alone, and if i was with somebody they would mock me. 5th grade was literally hell for me, that year i met this guy, let's call him "Aaron". Aaron was the new boy in school, a really sweet, rebel and extroverted boy, and i was really mesmerized by him, causing to have a crush, i won't lie. Since day 1 in school, we became really close, we passed many time together, we hanged out on both houses, this dude included me in everything, treated me like a human for the first time and was really nice, until he started hanging out with the group of boys that bullied me, and basically his personality made a 180° turn, and he became cruel, making the same cruel jokes, leaving me alone and making me feel like shit. I had such a crush in him that i stayed "friends" with my bullies, just because i couldn't bare being alone.
The relationship with those guys was tought for me, most of them when they didn't ignored me completly, they treated me like their "little brother that they can pick on", they made plans without me, made fun of my hobbies and made faces when i would be on their team
This "friendships" changed when i went to a schooltrip to the forest, where i was with this group, i didn't really had a choice, it was either bunking with them or not going. The first night i had an anxiety attack and felt really sick, and i think that was one of the few times where this group of guys finally treated me like a decent human or even a friend, they helped me calm down, held my head while i cried my heart out and even came out of the closet with them. It was the first time in years i felt included and a human, and for the rest of 2018 and most of 2019 i had a relationship where this guys and the rest of my classmates treated me like a person and cared for me.
When we got to the pandemic and came back to school in 2021, all my classmates started ignoring me, Sometimes there were good and funny moments, but usually they left me alone or ignored me during breaks, and they showed that they were friends (hugged each other or had a lot of trust in eachother), and i wanted to meet them better and i tried to socialize more, but when i tries to join the conversation, there were smiles and awkward conversations by almost everyone, and if I said something abouf feeling left out or feeling like the odd one out of the class, i was told that i was too fragile, too sensitive, I was the one who had to integrate and change.
Many times i arrived home crying because i was left out of a hang out, or watched in stories on IG friends going to parties, or that they would talk about those events knowing that i didn't knew anything before and without adding me. You can't get over the fact of coming home wanting to cry because you weren't included on conversations or parties or creating lies for my parents that I had been part of an anecdote that I only witnessed as basically a camera. I felt like a camera in my own life.
Now writing this, i remember some messed up things some of my classmates said in front of me. Like: - Aaron: "You know OP? If you died i wouldn't be that affected, i have more friends and i would quickly forget you" - Classmate: "oh (OP name) is really cool, i really like him". Then they would look at me and say: oh no (OP) not you, the cool (OP name)
Nowadays, i remember those experiences and feel a lot of pain, maybe i could have tried more and maybe i'm wrong? I hate feeling like even now when i have a healthy group of friends in college, i have to deal with the memories of being left out or ignored and blamed for it
I'm confused and don't know if i was toxic or if my classmates were the ones and i was right for cutting them off my life Thanks for reading

2024.05.20 05:54 RJE808 First time playing, would like some pointers of some things.

Starting with SF6. I've played SF in the past, but extremely causally, and I mean extremely. So I think I'm getting some things, the tutorials are great, but some things I need cleared up or some help on.
1.) Is there no way to tell in the Command List all the moves that are cancelable into Specials or other things? Like Luke's heavy crouching kick is cancelable, but it doesn't say that anywhere in his Command List and now I'm wondering if there's others that aren't either. Is it just a trial and error thing?
2.) Is it a bad thing to use Modern? Seen a lot of people since 6 came out lashing out at others for using Modern. I was thinking of using it since I don't have an arcade stick and it just feels easier to do inputs like specials on modern with a gamepad.

2024.05.20 05:53 TonyTonyDraco promoted twice at current job, 5 new job interviews in tech, 4 months working out, playing guitar, and learning a new language without any cheat days

IIn late January my girlfriend of almost 5 years left me. I used to be a carpenter a couple of years ago before I made the decision to learn software engineering. I was terrified of taking such a risk and had a lot of anxiety because I was still in a good amount of debt. My ex is the one who helped me enroll and actually supported me through the whole thing. I enrolled in a coding boot camp and tried looking for a part-time job for about 5 months. Turns out I was very qualified to build skyscrapers and handle $100k+ equipment but couldn't land a job at Best Buy, or a simple coffee shop just to pay my bills while I went through school. I eventually got a fun job at an afterschool program since it's centered around sports and I've always been pretty good at all of them.
Once school started nearing its end I had this sense of dread that no company would hire me. I was terrified of having to go through a job search for a software engineer when just a year ago I couldn't even get a minimum-wage job doing the most mundane easy stuff. I fell into a deep depression because of the fear of the unknown. I was suicidal because it felt like every time I put one foot forward toward my goals, something would just move the goalpost. I would wake up every day with suicidal thoughts and would go to bed telling myself I was a loser and everything I was working for would fail eventually. I had so much self-hatred towards myself. It's something I never liked to talk about, coming from a family that doesn't really share feelings. My mom thinks therapists are for people who should be in an asylum. towards the end of our relationship, I tried to tell my ex I wasn't okay. I was getting angry at the smallest things, I didn't want to leave the house and every time I did, I would find a way to ruin the night just so I could go home and be left alone. Eventually, she left me over text and text only.
that same night I got blackout drunk at a bar and woke up walking the main street in my city at 4 am with no phone, no wallet, crying, and with my entire right leg bleeding from mysterious cuts. It was freezing outside, and I couldn't remember where I was because I was still so drunk. I walked to an auto shop nearby and found a junkyard car that happened to be open. I sat inside and cried until the sun came up. I kept looking at the passenger seat hoping my ex would be sitting there telling me that I was okay and she was taking me home. I finally started getting a bit more sober and remembered that my brother lived pretty close to where I was so I ran over there and knocked and slept on his couch.
I hit my rock bottom that night, when I woke up I was still scared and embarrassed but put on a smile so my brother would think I was okay. That morning he took me home and I laid in bed all day throwing up and I told myself I would end it tomorrow. The next day, I texted my ex once asking if we could talk about the breakup. We did and I felt sad throughout the whole thing up until she said "I should've done it a long time ago". Then my sadness turned to anger because she cheated on me before and I had given her another chance. I always tried to work out any issues we had. I was the one who communicated and wanted to talk through any and all our issues throughout the 4.5 years but the second I brought up that I felt depressed and suicidal she leaves me through a text?
That day my only motivation became hatred towards her because had the roles been reversed I would've stayed and helped her through it because that's the person I loved. You should've left me a long time ago? Yeah right, it should've been me the first time you cheated years ago then caught you texting your coworker a year after that.
Since that day I started eating healthier every single day, I have been working out consistently, I practice code daily, I have gotten two job promotions at my job (2 positions below the VP of the company), I've gotten 5 interviews for a software engineer role, I've gotten hit on almost every single time I've left the house by really pretty and nice girls which has only happened like twice before in my life. My skin is the clearest it's ever been, I've been going outside more, and I've even started playing soccer again which I haven't in years. I'm learning Italian and I've gotten pretty damn good at it especially since I also speak spanish. I haven't had any alcohol since, I stopped smoking nicotine (She introduced me to it), I've been practicing the guitar every day and can play it better than I ever had been able to before. I'm spending more time with my family/friends and I have more money to pay off my current debts by August this year. Hell, I even took a cold plunge yesterday which felt great. It's like I can finally see a light in what felt like the darkest tunnel and I'm finally becoming who I used to be

2024.05.20 05:53 Anxious_Midgit Found nude pictures on my husband’s phone

I (26F) have known my husband (26M) for almost 3 years now, married for 1 year. Our relationship has been amazing, he’s caring, loving, treats me well and our sex life is great.
However, last night I was setting up his alarm on his phone, which I usually do if he falls asleep early and forgets to do it himself, and something was just nagging at me to open his camera roll so I did. I know I was wrong to snoop but I was shocked with what I found. Also not sure if it’s worth mentioning that we both have each other’s phone passwords and use each other’s phones occasionally. Anyways, as I was going through his photos, I found some nude pictures of men and plenty of d*ck pics and gay sex cartoon pics. I’ve had a little bit of suspicion previously that he may be interested in men because of things he used to ask me while having sex, like me fingering him in the ass and licking his asshole but I brushed it off because I know a lot of straight guys like these things too. Now I don’t know what this means, does he like men? Is he gay? Could he possibly be Bi? Why is he hiding this from me? Should I confront him?
I don’t know what to do and I feel heavy ever since I saw these pictures and I don’t understand why he would hide such a big thing from me for 3 years..

2024.05.20 05:52 What_in_ptarmigan Best gig guides for Sydney? How do you stay up with shows?

I'd love a concise gig guide that can be tailored toward taste. I feel a little out of the loop on gigs. I get Jmail but I gloss over it because there's a lot of non-music and stuff in other states.
I'm into a wide range of alternative, hip-hop, electronic etc. Not so much metal and heavy stuff these days.
I'm not looking for David Blaine shows or golden oldies on their 5th retirement tour etc, which the Ticketek emails seem to be.
Thx friends

2024.05.20 05:49 Fransico97 8 Months Post Op

Hey yall! Ive replied on here to others but never posted. I’m 8 months post op ACLR w/Patella Tendon and just feeling really discouraged. I’m still battling with raging shin pain and swelling at the front of my knee as well as pain in the back of my knee. Doing things like box squat on a 24’ box still hurt and my quad is still weak, relative to my non-sugery leg (about 60-70%). I just wanted to post and see if anyone else was feeling the same way and how you're fighting through it.
