2024.05.20 06:31 LetBeFriendsHere 5 Fast Foods To LOSE Weight - Eat This Fast Foods To Lose Weight
Lose Weight With Taste - While fast food is generally not associated with weight loss, some options can be relatively healthy and lower in calories. Here are five fast-food choices that can help you stay on track with your weight loss goals:
1. Grilled Chicken Sandwich
Restaurant Example: Chick-fil-A Grilled Chicken Sandwich
· Why it’s good: Grilled chicken is a lean source of protein, which can help keep you full without too many calories.
· Tips: Skip the mayonnaise or heavy sauces and opt for extra vegetables like lettuce and tomatoes.
2. Salad with Grilled Chicken
Restaurant Example: McDonald’s Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad
· Why it’s good: A salad with grilled chicken provides a mix of lean protein and vegetables. The fiber from the veggies helps with satiety.
· Tips: Use a low-fat dressing or bring your own to control added calories.
3. Veggie Burger
Restaurant Example: Burger King Impossible Whopper (without mayo)
· Why it’s good: Plant-based burgers can be a good source of protein and fiber, making them filling and lower in calories compared to traditional beef burgers.
· Tips: Ask for no mayonnaise or cheese to keep the calorie count lower.
4. Burrito Bowl
Restaurant Example: Chipotle Burrito Bowl with Chicken
· Why it’s good: By opting for a burrito bowl instead of a burrito, you eliminate the calories from the tortilla. Fill your bowl with lots of veggies, lean protein like chicken, and skip or minimize high-calorie additions like sour cream and cheese.
· Tips: Choose brown rice or skip the rice altogether to cut more calories.
5. Turkey or Veggie Sub
Restaurant Example: Subway 6-inch Turkey Breast Sub
· Why it’s good: A turkey sub on whole grain bread with lots of veggies can be a balanced and low-calorie option.
· Tips: Avoid high-calorie sauces and opt for mustard or vinegar. Skip cheese or use it sparingly.
General Tips for Making Healthier Fast Food Choices
1. Avoid fried foods: Opt for grilled, baked, or roasted options instead.
2. Watch portions: Go for smaller sizes or share larger portions.
3. Customize your order: Many fast-food places allow you to customize your meal, so make healthier swaps where possible.
4. Choose water or low-calorie drinks: Avoid sugary sodas and high-calorie beverages.
5. Skip extras: Pass on extras like fries, cheese, bacon, and high-calorie sauces.
Making these mindful choices can help you enjoy fast food while still working towards your weight loss goals.

2024.05.20 06:27 PiggyRiggly Almost 4 year old tries to squeeze 10 month old’s head.
The title says it. My 3.8 year old acts out some. Lots of little bullshit I let go. I admit I’m not Mr. Boundaries. But my son sometimes tries to squeeze my daughter’s head or hand. It’s like he’s frustrated by how cute she is and gets overwhelmed.
When he seems like he might unknowingly hurt her or is totally ignoring her feedback, I flip. Especially if it’s more than 1 x a day. Like today.
I shamelessly shamed him. We were about to leave the house for chicken and fried, he squeezed baby sisters head. Broccoli for dinner. Time in his room. Immediately removed from her vicinity. Long talk about bodies and respect yada yada. My first time to shamelessly apply a little shame. He is young, has touches of sensory and spectrum stuff. But I can’t eff around with his little sister. Sometimes the line is crossed and I just need him to GET it.
Mom is out of town for work next two weeks. I’m looking for advice on managing 2 on 1. 3 year age gap.
How do you get it the FUK through a little person’s head that there’s some stuff that’s a no go.
Also I scared my son, he’s pretty unfamiliar with consequences and punishment. Thoughts?

2024.05.20 06:27 cpt_tusktooth SCD is amazing for Hunger.
Started doing SCD and my portions are way too large.
I have 50 pounds to lose but im worried that my portions are too large.
I'm in love with the bean. Before this, i would just eat rice with all my meals (I'm asian)
but with rice you eat, get full and then an 1-3 hours you get hungry again. With the Bean though, ill eat prolly the same amount of food i normally do but i'm full way way way longer. I wake up and i'm not hungry! Its amazing, it also means my blood sugar is low.
Not being hungry all the time is a huge life changer. I dont get cravings or want to get something unhealthy because i'm not HUNGRY.
I would always wake up hungry when i ate rice and that would make me search out foods.
I'm wondering though, since my portion size is pretty large ( see image ) should i work on transitioning to intermittent fasting?
Beans, Veggies, chicken. Eating as much as i want and then fasting for like 16 or 20 hours a day.
it seems doable because i'm not hungry when i eat beans.
I also put some sauce on the chicken, which i'm sure has sugar in it.
Any advice on this?
Heres this meal i made the other day and it was soo filling and also pretty delicious.
just beans chicken and veggies. I wasnt hungry again for another 8 - 15 hours.
I didnt track it so i'm not super sure.

2024.05.20 06:12 audrey_korne Frustrated with health side of recovery not resolving itself
I've been in recovery since February. I've been disordered my whole life, but it only descended into truly dangerous, life-threatening anorexia over the course of the fall of 2023.
I haven't had a period since November. I'm still fatigued. I still have bouts of extreme hunger. This week, I've noticed lanugo all over my stomach, face, and thighs... even though it's burning hot outside. I'm still cold all the time--maybe a little less so now. I have absolutely no sex drive, which is becoming extremely frustrating in my relationship. I still feel empty and disengaged with the world with no energy to maintain my relationships. I'm afraid of developing osteoporosis, infertility, etc. etc. etc... bc I'm not recovering "enough."
Some things are better. My GI issues have resolved. I'm less obsessed with food, but I'm afraid that I'm becoming disengaged from it in the same way I did before heavily restricting. Some days, I feel like I'm in the best physical shape of my life--both visually and energy-wise. Others, I feel like I did in the worst parts of my disorder.
I have no way of continuing my therapy I receive during the college semester when I'm at home. For personal logistical reasons, it is simply not possible for me... not even virtually due to insurance issues.
I'm trying my best here. I eat 3 meals a day. I eat a lot of healthy fats--PB, avocado, oil, butter--and incorporate carbs and protein into every meal, too. I have snacks as needed. I eat--often overeat just to be sure--until I am full, but I'm always hungry 2 hours later.
For instance, I ate a huge "jazzed up" burger, 2 large diet pepsis (low cal but they usually help me feel full when I'm ravenous), a whole order of big truffle fries, half a side order of glazed brussels sprouts, and half a side order of a beet salad for lunch yesterday. I was hungry again not long after along with feeling physically horrendous from eating such greasy food (I don't normally eat fried food out of personal preference). It was delicious tho so I wasn't guilty at all! For breakfast, iirc I had cottage cheese, a rice cake (i genuinely like them), a hard boiled egg, SF lemon pudding, some fresh fruits and vegetables, and probably 2-4 TBSP of standard creamy jif PB.
Whenever I build up the courage to eat this much, I am still disappointed in myself when I'm already hungry and having to plan another meal a mere hour later. I have to send pics of my food to my friends to ask if I'm eating a normal amount of food. I have to ask my friends if I'm exercising a weird amount. I feel like I'm not recovering enough by not ditching the ED/diet foods, but I genuinely enjoy them and can eat a LOT of them without feeling guilt. I also just do not see the nutritional value in eating a lot of processed/greasy food or sugar, and I don't have access to good restaurants or cooking so I need simple food like rice cakes and eggs.
I'm not really gaining weight. In fact, I think I've lost weight again unintentionally. I was never THAT underweight, but honestly I don't really know that bc I haven't weighed myself in years. I almost died from an illness I got in Jan/Feb of this year, so that's why I went into recovery. Now, my friends and family are saying I look "severely underweight." I don't see this at all. I think I look healthy, honestly. I don't look like I did when I was actively dying.
I exercise frequently, but I listen to my body and have been far more lax as of late. This actually helped my gym progress imo, but I fear it's still getting in the way of recovery. I don't want to stop being active, I love it, and it is the only thing I can do during the summer that passes the time other than doomscrolling (I live rurally and my internships are remote). Again, some days I feel incredible! But the health issues persist...
I want to be healthy. Am I recovering wrong?

2024.05.20 05:44 ayearejayy 26 M Cali/Online- It’s a Friday in 2006 and you’re in your elementary book fair, what type of student shopper were you?
Personally, nothing got my blood pumping more than the newest Guinness World Records issue
That or I blow the whopping 6$ from my parents on the coldest pencils and cases on display
Hi my name is Jay! A local born and raised here in Southern California. I’m once again soul searching for people I can connect and build lasting friendships with!
Here’s a little about me!
I’m pretty surface level, emotionally aware (I’d like to say stable but we all have those days). I’m from an Asian background so I come with standard the childhood ptsd, though my parents are pretty rad now
I’ve been learning to cook! I think I make solid tomato penne pasta! It’s pretty but the taste needs some work. I tried making orange chicken and I think I need to stay away from frying until I become more efficient (sorry kitchen)
I volunteer a bunch! Youth, clothing, food, drives of all types when I have free time! I don’t drink or smoke but it’s not a deal breaker if you do!
Very much appreciate the value of friendships, so even if you wanna have a short chat or pull up a more permanent chair in my life, I welcome your message :)

2024.05.20 05:41 emmafilet can packages of seasonings (e.g. taco seasoning) flare up acid reflux?
this only started a few years ago and i cannot for the life of me figure out which exact spice it is, so i just attribute it to all packages of combined seasonings like a taco blend or something.
my mom likes to cook using these, like when she cooks chicken and broccoli she adds a seasoning literally called “beef & broccoli”. anytime i eat this dish i wake up in the middle of the night with acid reflux and basically just having to take tums and wait it out. this also happens with rice pilaf, completely different ingredients but also using a blended spice package. i have also made the same soup twice, once without a “vegetable soup seasoning” and once with it. could definitely tell the difference in symptoms.
i’ve looked at the ingredients and there doesn’t seem to be anything that stands out bc i use all the same individual ingredients in my cooking and i feel fine. is there something else that’s added in these packages that’s a common trigger?
edit: to clarify, the ingredients in these are usually things like salt, garlic/onion powders, paprika, etc. so nothing that would be out of the ordinary or trigger my symptoms if i use them individually

2024.05.20 05:14 ImBorreed 30m USA had my first anxiety attack
Hey everyone, about me- I’m a 30 year old male in USA. Always been an athlete but heavy blunt smoker. I’m a picky eater but don’t eat the best foods since Covid era. Quit drinking soda for 10+ years but recently started drinking coke again. As I’ve gotten older, I’m not as active. Just work go home and play Call of duty with friends. I work a commission job that I think is day to day stressful.
About 4 days ago, I was smoking a blunt before bed. All of a sudden I had a crazy heart rate and body got hot, hands and feet sweaty, about 500 different random negative scenarios came flying through my mind and I was freaking the eff out. Never had any anxiety before but I felt like I was having an anxiety attack, tried going inside to shower and was crying for like 2 hours (I think I was frustrated I didn’t know what was going on) I also was super nauseous and I fear of throwing up so it was a wild night. Ended up throwing up middle of night and had another anxiety attack…
Next day I took Dramamine, semi helped but not really, tried carrying on for the next couple of days but I was eating, talking, motivated, energetic, happy… just felt like my life had ended for some reason.
Finally woke up yesterday and was tired of it, went to urgent care, they prescribed my hydroxyzine 25mg and some nausea medicine.
It’s definitely helped but I still have a racing heart beat or an extra hard beat randomly that’ll get the heart rate faster. If there is anyone info or help… I would appreciate it!
I’ve only eaten 2 bowls of ramen and one plate of plain chicken and rice… I’ve lost 10lbs already too… please any help or insight would be nice! I’m tired and I feel bad for my gf also cause she is scared and not sure what to do.

Cold fried chicken (from refrigerator not room temp) is better particularly those with flavors/sauces yet still have the crunch, with better taste and you can eat it slower while appreciating its taste.
