2024.05.20 01:18 LimeGrenade 39 [M4F/MF] #Ohio seeking some casual connections in this chapter in my life
Hullo all interested folks, I'm Rob, an African American artist and Gardening enthusiasts =). I'm really looking for some new, healthy connections in poly, I honestly never had a real chance to explore the lifestyle with my ex who was very controlling of what I wanted to do but wanted free range to do what she wanted.
About me: I bought and own my home, all cash, all mine (a historic feat in this day and age) and I can definitely vouch for being the "homeeist" of home bodies as my crib is the bees knees. I have several pets, including cats, fish, and a Turtle (red earned slider for those interested lol)
While I have a day job as a laborer to pay the bills, my passion is art, illustrations to be precise. I LOVE to draw and being able to capture the real world on paper is the greatest flex I know. I would love to share my art with you or even do a drawing of you if you are interested. I can talk your head off on color theory and why I like this brand of ink vs. another.
I have an 18 year old son who lives with me, he is my favorite person and I enjoy just building a life with him, teaching him how to be the best man he can be, through kindness, patience, and consideration. We both are geeky and gamers, so we are down for some game time or ever some TTRPG.
I also have a new passion for gardening (new home came with a BIG ass back yard and I have a LOT of idea I wanna do) and cooking (a BIG ass kitchen to boot). So I will definitely just make a plate for yall or have left overs. I wanna do urban homesteading, get some chickens, collect rain water, solar panels, the whole 9.
As far as you guys are concerned: ladies I ADORE BBWs/plus size women. Yall are Goddesses to me and I live to worship lol. For the men I am straight but want to try more shared experiences, I am shy about being in front of other men, but time and trust can mellow that out. I WOULD like to be genuine homies though, not just come over to service the wife and never interact with you. Being a 3rd sounds interesting but I'm cautious of becoming a hinge for couples issues.
I go into this with light and love, as I need friends more than sex buddies or moving in together. I do want to actually meet people and do lunch, go to the movies, eat at the Park with a picnic. For too long I've tried online only/long distance and at my age it just doesn't cut it. I want hugs and cuddles God dammit đ„ș.
So hey, drop a line, or don't, I love you all the same đ„°

2024.05.20 01:09 abutterflyonthewall Work Bag Plus Purse?
I have always wondered something as I watch office-related fashion vids. Most youtubers feature a whatâs in my work bag demonstration. Those bags usually include every thing from a laptop, water bottle, planner, sweater, and lunch, to wallet, toiletries bag, and keys.
I have always taken two bags, either my purse and backpack (Iâm currently in a employer-branded backpack) or a tote and a small crossbody purse to keep things seperate.
I think of the errands I may need to run during lunch or after work with kids, and instead of taking everything out of a single work bag (wallet, keys, phone, sanitizer), I prefer to have my purse with me to leave my workbag in my office during lunch or in the car after work.
What is your current configuration?:
- Work tote with everything under the sun
- Work tote plus purse
- Work backpack plus purse
- Just a purse, no work bag needed
For business professionals, what is your current preference, as I will be transitioning into the business setting soon and an looking for a structured purse, and a work bag (not sure if I want to carry a backpack). Would love to hear whatâs your preference!

2024.05.20 01:06 astrangeone88 Well, Chantel was right about ONE thing...
Farm Boy's cheese counter is amazing.
I was using the No Name marble cheddar block to make lunch and the cheese was just salty and low quality (this is why Canadians are boycotting Loblaws - high prices/low quality).
Grabbed a bunch of plant based burgers, made a stop to look at their cheese counter. Grabbed a 30% off box of sliced mild cheddar and it melted beautifully and also elevates the burger to divine status.
It tasted like high end cheese on from an expensive burger joint. St Albert's Cheese - same place that Chantel went to eat the bag of squeaky cheese and BBQ seasoning.
So, yes - Farm Boy's cheese counter is amazing if a little spendy.
Chantel and FFG have excellent taste in cheese.

2024.05.20 01:03 ThrowRa_JKing I miss you but I know itâs not going to work
Iâve never had this much chemistry with anyone before. Ever. We were like a soul in two bodies. I liked you, I liked hearing you talk, I liked your silly jokes, I liked the animes we watched together. I remember every single detail about you. That little hat you would wear. Your colorful shirts. I never met someone like you. I loved how respectful you were when we met in person. A true gentleman. 4 months in I had to leave⊠as much as I cared about you. I knew you werenât looking for anything serious. You refused to put a label on us. You always changed the subject whenever I asked where things are going.
âLetâs take it slowâ you said. âI donât want to be committed to youâ thatâs what I heard.
âWhen are we going to meet up again?â I asked. âIâll see you when I miss you.â You replied. Ouch!
When I was abroad, I bought you a gift. I never told you about it because I wanted it to be a surprise for when we meet in person again; an authentic silver bracelet that will match the one you wear. Itâs been 5 months since I disappeared from your life and Iâm still holding on to that bracelet, safely tucked in a blue box with a ribbon, hidden inside the same bag they gave me when I bought it. I donât open it. I canât look at it. It hurts to think that I lost you before I could have you.
I had to let you go because I was falling for you every single day and you werenât. âIâll be there for you as a friendâ thatâs what you told me. âFriendâ ouch!
Part of me regrets leaving and another tells me that I made the right decision not imposing myself on you anymore. But I miss you. So much. I cried myself to sleep many many nights because of how hard I missed you. The past 5 months werenât easy either. Iâve been going through a lot at work and all I needed is a shoulder to cry on but you werenât there.
And Iâm left alone not knowing what to do.
I ghosted you. I admit it. But I did it because I felt unwanted, especially in the few weeks before I leave.
Do I text you and tell that I miss you or move on with my life risking not finding what I found in you ever again? Will you text back or leave me on read?

2024.05.20 01:03 HopefulBrain1697 At this point, I dont know if Iâm the problem
Ever since fifth grade, I (15f) got heavily bullied by multiple people at my school. It was the typical locking me in broom closets or bathrooms stalls, spreading rumors about me, breaking and stealing my stuff hurting me physically and mentally and stuff like that. I donât even know what I did for them to treat me like that, I am no different to them, at all, so I really donât understand how I got targeted to easily by people.
Most of that bullying was from my own âfriend groupâ. It sounds stupid, I know. I had a best friend and she met some other friends, and slipped into a group and since I didnât have any other friends and had a hard time making friends in general, I also ended up in that friend group. I dont even know how it happened, but it started simple. They purposely excluded me from their conversations, made fun of me for everything I did or said and âaccidentallyâ breaking or stealing some of my books, pens, lunches and stuff like that. I know how stupid I sound for not doing anything, but I was very emotionally attached to my best friend, since she was the only friend I had and I thought it was all just a phase and would eventually pass. It didnât pass though and it got worse and worse. It went on for years and my attendance was suffering a lot due to the tormenting and bullying they did. I cried every morning before school, begging my parents to let me stay home, to a point where I threw up every morning and even passed out a few times. If my parents didnât let me stay home, I sometimes just didnât go and just walked the streets of my town aimlessly.
Yes, both my parents and the teachers knew about the bullying, but as expected, no one did anything to help me. I was around 13 at that time and everything was basically miserable. Life at home sucked and life at school was even worse. I picked up some bad habits, including $h and seriously thought about just ending it all, since I really didnât know what to do anymore.
One day, a boy added me on snapchat and I recognized his name from my school. I was confused, because no one normally added me on snapchat, because no one really liked me. I was curious to see what he wanted and added him back. He send me a snap and we started talking, and I was surprised to find out, that we had a LOT of similar interests. I also told him about the bullying and how my âfriendsâ were treating me and he even comforted me. We became really good friends and he eventually asked me out and we started dating. It honestly helped me a lot and even though we didnât talk much at school, I did go a lot more and it was easier too.
I got a lot more confident and randomly decided to leave my old friend group, not talking to them at all. I did go to our usual hangout stop during lunch and when they talked to me, I didnât say anything and ignored them. Of course that didnt stop the from hurting me both mentally and physically, but at least by not reacting to it, I took some of their fun out of it. It seemed better and I also felt a bit better. But of course that wouldnt last long. One day, at the beginning of the school day, I was sitting at my desk, just looking down, waiting for class to start, when I saw my boyfriend and two of his friends walk up to me. I thought he just wanted to say hello or something like that, so I smiled at him. To my surprise, he went up to me and started screaming at me. I was confused and didnât really know what to say, just looking back at him, which only seemed to piss him off more. One of the friends grabbed my arm and pulled me out of my chair, while the other grabbed my bag, emptying it on the floor. For context, I am a rather short girl, around 5â3, while he is a bigger, tall boy, 6â1, who plays football and goes to the gym regularly. Both he and his friends are a year older than me, so the physical advantage for them is obviously. I couldnât really do anything, but listen to him scream and looking at his friends step on my stuff. He told me to âstop pretending to be a victimâ âgrow upâ ânot act like just a cry babyâ and other insults and slurs. His friend eventually let go off me and I just ran out of the room, hiding in a bathroom stall, crying. I was confused and didnât understand what was going on. This went on for days and one day while I was sitting at lunch alone, he came up to me and just sat next to me. He didnât say anything for a while, just looking down at the table. He then turned to me and told me how my old friend group came up to him and told him, that I spread rumors about them and was now ignoring them for now reason.
Why would he believe that? He knew everything and he also knows what kind of people my old âfriendsâ are. It sounds stupid, but I forgave him and now everything is back to ânormalâ. Yeah, I lot a lot of trust in him, and I am even a little scared, but I still like him a lot. I just donât know how I always end up getting treated like Sht from everyone around me. Surely if everyone is treating me like that, there has to be something wrong with me, because this happened multiple times without any connection to each other. I just dont know what to do, everything is miserable and I just dont know how to deal with all this.

2024.05.20 00:58 ApparatusOfFiction It came from the swamp, with a smile (Chapter 63)
First Previous **Memory transcription subject: Xithan, ⊠hungry Arxur**
*Date [standardized human time]: October 13, 2136*
Holding my gift, I let my eyes slide shut, the idle chatter between Cotton and Upsilta threatening to lull me back to sleep. I had pulled myself up onto my bunk, letting my back rest against the wall, with my tail wrapped around me. This was⊠pleasant. Calm. I could exist, without the sensation of suspicious eyes constantly on me.
Iâm free.
A loud Cotton noise caught my attentionâ it had to be them, of course, as venlil did not make that same kind of boisterous⊠laughter, was it? My eyes lazily opened, and I looked to see the two of them sitting next to each other on Cottonâs bunk. The human was laying back on their bed, their legs nearly bouncing with the occasional wheeze between laughs. Upsiltaâs face had bloomed orange, most noticeable around their eyes and ears. I wasnât sure what I had missed, but⊠it was still odd, to see predator and prey so friendly with one another. Even with all I had seen recently, the Dominionâs teachings still came to mind, trying to tell me what I was seeing was a lie.
Of course, it wasnât. My eyes couldnât lie to me, and the Dominion had no power over me. Not here, anyway.
Heavy footsteps were heard at the doorway to the bunks, and Cottonâs laughter was stifled as the human shuffled to sit up. A stressed, exhausted face peered out, glancing across the room. The angry gojid tried not to flinch when she met my eyes, but she didnât hide it well. Realizing I would have to take more care with my behavior again, I turned my head away, trying to avoid setting off her prey instincts.
Why⊠am I irritated by this? Iâm used to adjusting my behavior around other for all my yearsâ
You didnât have to do it, a few moments ago.
âKrosa!! Ya changed your mind on the bathâ?â
âNO.â
Cotton seemed to deflate at this, sighing before flopping back onto their bunk, letting out an annoyed noise. The venlil gave her a few ear flicks, and a content wag of his tail; probably trying to soothe her. Krosa let out an irritated exhale, before moving towards the human and venlil pair. Surprisingly, she had turned her back to me.
There they were, chatting again. The gojidâs voice was low, Cottonâs energetic as usual, and Upsiltaâs, well, soft. Not as soft as his blessed fur, but still.
They paid me no mind as they chatted, and I enjoyed the feeling of sinking into the background. Not having attention on me was⊠pleasant. I rubbed my snout against my soft, red gift, content at how I wasâ
Growl.
I blinked, the silence of the room feeling entirely too loud following the rumbling of my stomach.
Hunger.
Looking up, I saw the gojid facing me, her spines up. The venlil seemed anxious as well, moving closer to their human. I couldnât blame them. But it stillâ
âSee?! How the hell are we supposed toâ he eats FLESH, and thereâs nothing for him on this shuttleââ
âKrosa.â
âI warned you this was what would happen if we took in a blasted arxurââ
âKrosa.â
âWhat, Cottonâ?â
The tense back and forth made the air in the room feel thick, with the human seeming to get more⊠frustrated as the gojidâs ranting continued. Cotton looked at me for a moment, before looking back at the angry, prickly creature in front of them.
Theyâre going to tell.
âI have meat for him.â The fluffy-haired human firmly answered, a gritted stare watching as the gojid processedâ
âYou. You WHAT?!â
The incredulous rage nearly exploded out of the gojid, as she let out a frustrated snarl; to which Cotton stayed still, refusing to flinch.
âAfterâ AFTER EVERYTHING! You, you brought meat?! And you think you can get upset whenâ when our kind calls you a predator, for this kind of shitââ
The tenseness of the human felt⊠odd, with how they normally were. Upsilta already knew of their secret, and didnât seem angry; but still had an air of uncertain disappointment.
âThereâs no changinâ what he can eat, Krosa. Anâ I got something we can use to keep him fed without killinâ anything. Just need a sampleââ
âNO. Godâ no, what the FUCKâ I should have stayed in my room, you, youâre justââ
Cutting off Cotton, Krosa stepped away from the human and venlil pair, turning to give me a glare, before retreating from the bunk room. Upsilta hopped up from Cottonâs bunk, scurrying to the door and calling out to her. Cotton sat where they were, looking⊠tired.
â... You have, more meat?â I quietly asked, and the golden-haired human looked up at me, before nodding.
âYeah. I brought, ah, two bags. Iâll give ya the other one⊠was hoping the first one would last ya longer, butâŠâ They sighed, pulling their backpack towards them, and starting to dig. They pulled out another bag of dried meat, setting it next to themselves. I could feel my mouth water, and my heart skip a beat at the sight.
Food.
âCotton?â A soft voice called, as the venlil returnedâ but stayed in the doorway, not committed to re-entering.
âYea?â The human replied, still digging through their items; theyâd laid out a few that didnât seem to be what they were looking for.
âWhat⊠what did you mean, you have something that can keep⊠Xithan fed?â
Wait. What exactly did the human mean with this? Although I was fixated on the bag of meat rations, I pulled my eyes away to watch the human, catching the sight of them pulling out a cylindrical, metal object.
âWelllll⊠ah never told ya why I got, uh, kicked outta the program, did I?â
The venlilâs head tilted, their ears giving a confused twitch. Program - that must have been that human-venlil exchange program. Cotton could see my hunger, and made a motion to mimic⊠throwing the bag at me? I sat up straighter, and watched as the human effortlessly tossed the bag my way, right into my greedy claws. Unceremoniously, I tore into the plastic, digging out pieces of the dried meat and stuffing them into my gullet.
âSo, ah⊠sâcause of this thing.â Cotton continued, gently tapping the metal cylinder. I glanced up, seeing Upsilta watching me, his fur puffed up, before forcing his gaze to his human.
âSpeh, what⊠well, what is it? It.. itâs not a weapon, right?â The venlil chirped back, their tail swishing back and forth anxiously. The human let out a small laugh, their golden curls bouncing as they shook their head. âNahhh, well. It ainât a weapon to me, but⊠maybe to some of yâall, uh. âPreyâ, species?â
I hadnât realized how hungry I was. It⊠it was a little peculiar, having meat that was dried, but it still tasted good. It still satisfied my hunger. And I didnât have to tear into a freshly killed gojid, either or eat those processed rations.
âAh, well, the airport security sure as hell thought it was a weapon. Fuckinâ toolâ wonder how long it took for his face to get fixed back upâŠâ Those last words were nearly hissed, an odd glint in the humanâs eye. A moment where they eerily reminded me of the humans on the Cradleâ how on Wriss could they go from seemingly harmless, to something Iâd hate to be on the bad side ofâ
You bit off two of their fingers. Was that not enough to be on their bad side?
I swallowed a large piece of dried meat. Apparently, that wasnât the sort of thing that made Cotton upset. Whatever this âairport securityâ did, evidently had made the human angry.
ââanyway, yea, this ainât a weapon. Sâa way for us to grow food.â The fluffy haired human beamed, looking towards their venlil for approval.
âS-so, no more rations?â Upsilta treaded, and the human let out an anxious laugh.
âU-uh, thatâs the thing. Itâs food⊠for me anâ Xithan.â
â... Wait, you meanâ?â
âMeat.â
I had paused from my ravenous snacking, answer the venlilâs question for the human. Cotton looked at me, a gentle expression on their face. âYea, sâright Xithan. Can make meat with this thing. Or, at least, duplicate a sampleââ
âSample?!â Upsilta squeaked out, and Cotton nodded. âYeah, but hell, Iâm fine with doinâ itââ
âNO.â I growled, my tail giving an irritated whip. The human looked at me, seemingly⊠hurt?
â.. Aww, câmon, Iâm fine with cutting out a piece, it wouldnât even hurtââ
âHuman, did you not hear me before? I would rather starve than ever taste human flesh again.â
The human sighed, rubbing their hair with their good hand. âListen, I know it wouldnât taste⊠the best, but, hell, Iâd be willinâ to do it. The thing needs a fresh sample, it doesnât really like dried or older ones for some reasonââ
âI do not care. I refuse to eat your fleshâ it was foul, rancid, and made me contemplate just giving up meat and dying.â The growl of my voice grew louder, and Cotton seemed unwilling to back down despite it.
âFine, maybe⊠ah, fuck, I can hunt somethinâ down thereââ
âDo you really think the gojid will entertain that?â I hissed, my heavy tail smacking against my bunk. âWhat about the venlilâ?â
âXithan, his NAME is Upsilta. Andâ shit, I donât know, Iâd just figure it out. Thereâs enough space on this damn ship to hide a carcass somewhereââ They were frustrated, but it didnât matterâ I would rather starve than taste that disgusting flesh ever again. What, by the prophet were humans made of, that tasted so wretched?
Letting out an exasperated sigh, Cotton set down their âmeat generatorâ on their bunk, before standing. The height difference wasnât that much, but it seemed to make the human feel better. âYa only need a lil sampleâ it can only make a little bit at a time, and it always needs fresh samples, but dammit, it worksââ
We were at a standstill; my stubborn refusal, and their inability to back down. I opened my maw once more to remind the humanâ
â... Iâll do it.â Came the soft, reserved voice of the humanâs venlil. Cottonâs face went a shade paler, and they whipped around to look at their exchange partner. â... Upsilta?â
The divinely fluffy venlil gave a gentle sway of their tail, meeting the humanâs gaze for a moment, before looking away. Cotton was crouched in front of them, their hands grasping the preyâs shoulders. â... You donât, you donât have to do this, sâokay, Iâll figure it outââ
The venlil raised a paw to touch the humanâs injured hand. â... You gave enough, already. Plus⊠he already said he wouldnât eat your⊠flesh.â A gentle whistle of a laugh followed that, and then the human was gently holding the venlilâs face, their voice⊠strained.
âAre⊠are you sure? I donât⊠I donât wanna ask this of ya.â I couldnât see their expression, as their back was turned to me, but I could safely assume it wasnât a happy one.
âItâs⊠not like you will be able to catch anything in space. And.. Xithan is right; Krosa would probably have your head if she saw you with something you⊠hunted.â Another paw came up, giving the humanâs hand a reassuring pat, before laying their paw overtop it.
I could easily eat venlil meat. Although, it would⊠clearly be a bit of a sacrifice, having to give up small amounts of their own flesh.
What prey does that?
One that isnât afraid, clearly.
And one that doesnât think youâre a monster.
â... I can, ah. Take the sample. Iâll do everythinâ I can to make it as⊠quick as possible.â Cotton breathed, their shoulders seeming to slump. They evidently really hadnât wanted their venlil to have to do this. They⊠cared about him.
A cream-colored fluffy tail gave the humanâs side a reassuring tap, before the venlil lifted his head to meet the eyes of the worried predator in front of him.
âI trust you.â
~note: crazy right? and some of you though we wouldn't come back (we still don't have backlog please be patient)

2024.05.20 00:16 Educational_Ad_8578 Review: Hermes Birkin 30 Togo Mauve Sylvester
| This bag is pretty darn near perfection. -Stitching is 9.5/10 -Stamp is 10/10 -Hardware is a 10/10. Her hardware is difficult to tell from the authentic. -Glazing is a 9/10 (but I have bags from her that are a solid 10), but some authentic have tiny misses as well. I'm not bothered by it. And in some spots it's perfect. -Shape is a 9.75/10 and measures same as auth. I want a bit more slouch at the bottom, but it's already more relaxed than when I got her last week. -Leather is a 9.5/10. I took half a point off for the leather as, while it is excellent, I wish it were a bit more "pillowy" and less dry. I also asked for no veining, so that was great. She can get beautiful veining if you ask. But I've had 9.7 quality leather from Angel before. It could be just this color. -Experience: Angel is on the TS list here and she is an absolute delight. Professional, patient, responsive, and everything else you'd want in a seller. She is amazing. submitted by Educational_Ad_8578 to RepladiesDesigner [link] [comments] |
2024.05.20 00:15 josephinestoleme I feel like I missed out on a huge part of being a woman because my mom died when I was 16. I'm 20 now, and I almost know nothing about her.
16 years of life was not enough to get to know my mom.
I wish I knew what color was her favorite, what her thoughts were about love and relationships. I wish I found out more about her upbringing and her past. As soon as I turned 16 and I started understanding life, developing a sense of femininity and having some sort of consciousness and maturity that i can share with my mom, she died. I would give anything just to get an hour with her to go shopping, or go to the supermarket, or talk about fashion trends and her favorite designer bag. My mom was very strict, angry and depressed, but i knew she had so much to give had her life been better. It's heartwrenching to realize that you don't know much about who your mom is. That person is a stranger to me.
She never got to see me graduate, enroll in her dream school, get my drivers license, become a woman of my own. I owe it all to her and now she's no longer here. It pains me just as much to see my dad suffer from her loss everyday, he loved her so much and now he has to live with her absence everyday after 26 years of marriage. My dad does his best to make up for the void she left in my life, he doesn't know shit about makeup and clothes and still he tries his best to discuss it with me and choose clothes with me. Just seeing him try makes my heart break.
I can't stop crying, I will never love anyone as much as I miss her, I fucking hate this life.

2024.05.20 00:01 elpislazuli What to do with damaged X-T20 - whether to change cameras (which one?) or seek unofficial repair?
I've had my X-T20 for seven years and taken it everywhere. It's a great little camera for me -- lightweight, small enough to fit in my bag (and a perfect fit for my hands), does *most* of what I'd want it to do. Unfortunately, I've had a recurrence of the "card error" that made this camera unusable six years ago, necessitating a new motherboard. As of two months ago, Fujifilm no longer repairs X-T20s.
I'm torn about what to do. I had no real plans to 'upgrade.' The X-T20 has been my only camera (with the 35mm and 18-55mm lenses) for this whole time. It's been heavily (but carefully) used for seven years. It has a few other issues, though nothing I wasn't able to live with: the electronic viewfinder no longer works and the 'skin' is loose in places. I am not sure how much it's worth spending to repair it, or whether that's even a realistic option given FF no longer provides parts. I'm in Montreal and not familiar with local repair shops or what it's even possible to repair.
If I get a new (or new-to-me) camera, I'm not sure what to go with. The X-T30 ii seems like a small (?) upgrade on the X-T20 (would love to know your experiences with X-T20 vs. X-T30 ii) and the price point is appealing. The X-T50 is more than I'd like to pay... but I don't know if I should spring for a refurbished X-T3? The weather-proofing would be nice, and better shooting in low light.
FWIW, I do mostly street photography and travel photography, plus some portraits. I really never do video. I sell photographic prints on the side. Color and crispness matter a lot to me. It's a passion of mine but it's not the way I make a living.

2024.05.19 23:40 Southern-Bee-4055 Unusable pics
| Welp... my galaxy 23+ is unable to handle the red water đ
Took several pics, but they are pretty much garbage. I even tried to use the pro mode and lower the ISO settings. Apart from it being a new 20L small cube and it is still a milky water, Im pretty happy with the color achieved with rooibos tea (you can actually see the 2 bags still in the water). It has a few neon tetras, red fire shrimps and some zebra snails. Any advice on blackwater image capture with cellphone is appreciated. submitted by Southern-Bee-4055 to BlackwaterAquarium [link] [comments] |
2024.05.19 23:23 Snuffalufegus Do any of your puppies throw up somewhat often?
Our puppy started throwing up his food around 5 months old(7 months now) He did it about once a day for the first couple days he started until we brought him to the vet and they basically said it could be sensitivity to his chicken based kibble which is the same he started eating from at the breeders. They recommended we move him to a âprescriptionâ vegetarian kibble to rule out the chicken as a cause. Since then he still throws up/regurgitates about once a week. It seems to be mostly after his first food of the day, which is about 15 minutes after I get him out of his crate around 6:15am. If I give him just 1/4 it usually doesnât happen, but itâs a fine line whether I give him a little too much or not, and sometimes heâll throw up a half hour later. Iâve noticed that the throw up is about half fresh looking kibble, and half is a paler color, sort of gray instead of yellow. Weâre transitioning him to a fish based kibble once this bag is over, just looking for otherâs experience with sensitive stomach dogs.

2024.05.19 23:12 ts01025637 Kelty bag Prior vs Current year model - Any differences except color?
| Hello, I am buying the last piece of my camping gear - sleeping bag. We only plan to camp during summer, and I am looking at Kelty bag (Next national park we are visiting is Sequoia NP), we aren't planning to camp around the water, so down bag should work fine. Question for the Kelty cosmic 20 bag: I found there are two discounted Kelty bag on amazon, showing 2024 model. I also found the same bag on Kelty's website, but the colors are different, prices are 25% higher than these 2024 model on Amazon. These are the image I found. The right one on both images are the lates model. https://preview.redd.it/qgpnk9vr8g1d1.png?width=1348&format=png&auto=webp&s=18285510dd1345a80fd306d3836c045450abc233 https://preview.redd.it/8k70navr8g1d1.png?width=1362&format=png&auto=webp&s=e4de3cead400a43ea37b9b44987e8e9212734fed Beside the exterior color differences, the shape around the foot area, is there anything between prior year model v.s. this year's new model? If there's no big differences, I think I can just get the prior year model and expected to have the same quality as this year's? Thanks, submitted by ts01025637 to camping [link] [comments] |
2024.05.19 23:01 Bernesco Warning!
So I did remote start on my 2024 Jeep compass. I opened the hatch by using the handle. I thought the car unlocked completely. I threw my lunch bag in the back with my key clipped in. I closed it and the Jeep was completely locked all around. It didnât allow me to open any doors or the hatch where the keys were. The Jeep was still on from the remote start. For some reason my Jeep doesnât have the option to unlock it from the app. I waited for it to turn off to see if it might unlock itself but no luck. Had to use a lockout kit to open it. Just be careful not to do the same! Great car 2.0 Turbo is nice.

2024.05.19 22:54 CDown01 Eagles Peak pt. 5.5
Previous Part I grabbed the back pack Bianca had left in the kitchen and waited in the living room. I had no idea what she was packing for but after this morning I wasnât going up there to check. I wasnât really sure what I wanted to ask Tuck yet. I wanted him to tell me he was a werewolf himself, that seemed like pretty important information just on the basis of trust. But I also wanted to know why he was really out by the mine yesterday. His story didnât add up and thereâs no way he knew we would be up there, I think that was just a coincidence. As I was trying to come up with exactly how I wanted to broach the question to Tuck, Frank put a hand on my shoulder. He was wearing his lab coat so I guessed he just came up from the basement. The hairnet he always seemed to wear when he was working was in its usual spot. I suppose he wore it to protect the memory of hair that was once on his head. He looked solemn and a little sick as he turned to me.
âKeep her out of trouble will you? I know we havenât always been the best to her and Iâm sure Stein and I donât really give her the help she needs. But sheâs like the daughter I never had time to have, I couldnât live with myself if something happened to her.â
âFrank, you probably do more than you know for her. Did she ever talk about her family with you?â
âVery briefly throughout the years, I donât know if sheâs told you much or anything for that matter. It⊠it certainly wasnât easy for her growing up and it never got easier.â
âIâll do my best to keep her out of trouble. If she does end up following me into⊠whatever this trial ends up being just promise me youâll have a way to get her out. Some kind of contingency, I can fend for myself but Iâve seen her just shut down before. Like yesterday in the caves someone grabbed her and she lashed out and just⊠wasnât herself. She just froze and I donât want that to happen anywhere near Shaoni.â
âIâll work on something but I canât promise that. Like Stein said weâre scientists, we donât really do field work like that. If I do come up with something youâll be the first to know. Iâm glad she ran into you when she did Keith, she could really use a friend.â
With that Frank walked away, back towards the kitchen and into the basement.
It wasnât long after that when I heard Bianca coming down the stairs asking if anyone had seen her toothbrush. At which point Rocco appeared in front of me from god knows where holding a suspicious disassembled toothbrush.
âNot. A. Word. Kid.â
Rocco growled at me as he scampered out the door behind me.
âI have a couple that I packed for the trip here from Wisconsin I can just give you one of those.â
I called to Bianca. Partially because I wanted to get a move on and partially because I wanted no part in whatever Rocco was getting up to. If there was one supernatural thing about this town it was that raccoonâs knack for mischief. I get thatâs what raccoons are known for but seriously, Rocco was on another level. Bianca reluctantly agreed to take one of the travel tooth brushes I had back at my house. I wasnât even going to ask why she packed a duffle bag to go a few hundred feet into town and back again.
âCome on weâll take the bikes again.â
Bianca said as she made her way behind the house.
âIâm telling you theyâre going to give me tetanus one of these days but sure. Lets just stop at my place first, I want to drop off this backpack you took yesterday first.â
Bianca was still wearing the ratty jeans sheâd taken from me yesterday and at this point I just figured she could have them. I really wasnât about to get into an argument as to why she should take my pants off and⊠ugh even saying it is just⊠no. Those were hers now as far as I was concerned.
We rode over to my house through the crisp autumn afternoon. The trees along the street were finally being to change color, it looked like a scene from a postcard. One of those oneâs of the idyllic towns that couldâve come straight out of a hallmark movie. I had to give it to Eagles Peak, it may by turning into a den of vipers for me minute by minute but it sure could be beautiful, in itâs own isolated kind of way.
âWow its very⊠small.â
Bianca commented as she stepped into my house and looked around.
âYeah not everyone has a blank check from two different governments like Stein.â
âI didnât mean liâŠâ
âItâs ok I know what you meant, its different.â
I said cutting her off before she had the chance to apologize. I dropped off the backpack in my room and rooted around in the one duffle bag I still hadnât unpacked from my trip here. I found the toothbrush without to much trouble and walked into the living room to give it to Bianca only to find her unpacking on the couch.
âWhatâs going on here, are you moving in?â
I joked, not expecting the answer I was about to get.
âYeah, kind of hard to keep an eye on you from my house. I suppose I could from the top floor but if weâre working against Shaoni that doesnât seem like a great idea. Sheâs got that whole thing with lighting and I get the sense her being angry at you while your up in the air isnât a great combination.â
Bianca said, unpacking a blanket like she wasnât just inserting herself into my house.
âWHAT?â
I shouted, maybe a little too loud.
âIs there a problem?I thought you wanted me looking out for you, this is me, doing that.â
She said looking up at me with puppy dog eyes. Youâve got to understand, those eyes coming from someone like Bianca, glowing or otherwise, well you just canât say no to that. When itâs Bianca you
really canât say no. She can just take that option away in an instant but again she didnât for me, it was still my choice.
âI.. sure but you can have my bed. Weâll get everything set up once we get back from the Roost. You did tell Frank and Stein about this right?â
I gave in, deciding to let her stay.
âIâm a big girl, they doinât need to know everything I do, and⊠thanksâ
âItâs alright, just let me know next time youâre going to pull something like this ok?â
I added, equal parts excited to actually have someone to talk to besides myself in my own home, and worried what Frank and Stein might think was going on here. I put those thoughts out of my head for the moment as we got back on the bikes.
It was about 3 by the time we made it to Tuckâs bar after the delay Bianca had caused by moving herself out before we left. Just as I expected the sign said closed but the door was unlocked. The bar looked exactly the same as the last time I was there. Stone fireplace roaring and pristine wooden floor looking like it had been polished just this morning. Tuck was sitting behind the bar looking worse for wear. The look on his face said he knew we were coming and he wasnât to thrilled about it.
âDoes he know?â
Tuck asked pointedly, looking straight through me and speaking to Bianca.
âAbout me or you, because the answer is both of us.â
Tuck shook his head at this and a grim look came over him.
âYa shouldnât have pulled him into this.â
âActually I pulled her into it if anything, going out there was my idea. Iâve got a mark like Robertâs, its actually what brought me to town in the first place.â
I said, hoping my honesty would get the same out of Tuck.
âSo that bird called ya out here somehow?â
âMore or less, but thatâs not what Iâm here about. I want to know why exactly you followed us out there yesterday.â
Tuck sighed and gestured to the seats at the bar, beckoning Bianca and I to take a seat.
âWhen Robert chased ya out the other night some of his friends came by. They all got that mark like him, they were sayinâ something about the thunderbird makinâ an appearance back at the old mine. I wanted to see for myself and make sure they were wrong. I found those bikes and ended up followinâ the trail. By the time I got there some guys were poking around that hole in the wall and a storm had kicked up. I saw them cut that rope and figured they werenât doinâ no good. I⊠changed and dealt with them then forced my way into the old mine entrance, the rest ya already know cause I ran into ya not long after.â
This story made more sense to me, Tuck never came out there to find me, I just so happened to be out there. Those boulders I thought were moved had been, by Tuck which made me question just how strong he was. Each of those huge things had to weigh tons and there were three strewn about the entrance.
âOk that makes more sense than what you told me, but what were you hoping to accomplish up there. If you ran into the thunderbird what would you have done?â
âI just wanted to make sure it wasnât really up there again but the storm seemed to say otherwise. No storm like that just pops up and goes away, the bird had to be involved with that.â
âActually she was there, just not as some huge bird. She was down in the caves with us but she looked human, native American to be more precise. Thatâs how I met her when I got marked and now sheâs holding some kind of trial out in those mines.â
âYou met the thunderbird, its a person? What does she want with this place now.â
Tuck said his demeanor changing into one full of concern. I didnât know what else to say cause at the moment I didnât actually know much more than that. Itâs infuriating, this being in the dark thing. I just settled for dodging the question.
âNot to change the topic but are we to early to grab a bite to eat?â
I wish I had a camera handy because the face Tuck made at that whiplash change of topics was priceless. I canât properly do it justice with words. Suffice it to say one of his eyebrows hit the ceiling while the other hit the floor and a violently confused expression plastered his face.
âSure I guess, what do the two of ya want!â
Tuck exclaimed, throwing his arms in the air and walking back behind the counter. I ended up ordering some fried chicken sandwich with bacon and pickles, and as I took the first bite my risk of heart attack increased ten fold. Bianca ordered the same thing and was pecking at it inquisitively when I asked,
âSo whatâs the story with Rocco?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âI mean why, why did Frank and Stein make him in the first place?â
I asked through a mouthful of greasy goodness.
âWell I think it started out as a joke, then Stein actually wanted an assistant and that joke became Rocco. They worked on him for a while, pretty much they took a random raccoon off the street and played around in its head. I know there was some gene splicing involved but if you want to know how they did it ask them.â
âSo he was supposed to be an assistant in the lab? I think Iâve seen him doing one thing to help them out this whole time and he was poking through a back alley for old batteries.â
âYeah, heâs not a great assistant, must be good enough though cause they havenât tossed him out.â
âAre you kidding me! If they tossed him out he be so much worse! Just think, Rocco left to his own devices without any supervision.â
Both of us shuddered at the thought, if he was bad now heâd be a menace to society without the little control we had over him.
Bianca and I ate and eventually Tuck came out and I told him my story about Imalone. He seemed really concerned at the fact that the thunderbird could be walking around town and he wouldnât know about it. I assured him that Shaoni was really hard to miss if you just looked at the eyes. It wasnât like she looked any different either, no matter what she was wearing those tattoos would be a dead giveaway. Tuck assured me he was going to keep an eye out and gave me his number to call if I saw her. I donât want to talk down on Bianca, but something about having a werewolf looking out for me as well was reassuring. Tuck told us a bit about what he was doing with Frank and Stein too. Apparently he contracted his âdiseaseâ as he called it long before he came to work in Eagles Peak. He was originally from Louisiana and moved to New York for a change of scenery and ended up getting a job in the mines here around 1940. I should also mention Tuck ages very slowly due to his âdiseaseâ so he looks like heâs in his 50âs or so but he was born in 1900. To his credit youâd never know he was anything other than your friendly middle aged bartender.
Bianca and I were getting ready to leave as it came time to open the bar for real. When Tuck offered us a round of drinks on the house.
âNo, no thatâs alright Tuck, youâve done enough for us weâll see you later.â
Bianca politely declined, pulling me towards the door. After I said my goodbyes and we had gotten back to the bikes I asked Bianca,
âDo you not drink? Iâm not judging just⊠when Tuck offered you seemed kind of jumpy.â
âI just never have, I was kind of bouncing around the country when I turned 21 so I just never started.â
âSo your telling me you never had your first drink? Well, we have to fix that then.â
âAre you sure?â
âYeah, its like a right of passage where Iâm from. Weâll pick up a six pack or something on the way back but we donât have to do anything if you donât want to.â
I said, trying to convince her. Iâm not a huge drinker but I am from Wisconsin, alcohol is a way of life out there and weâre know for our beer. In my family turning 21 and having your first drink is cause to bring the whole family together. I couldnât do that for her but I could at least give her the experience, maybe give her just one more good thing to remember.
Bianca agreed and we pulled into the Save-A-Lot just outside town. The building was painted white bit it was slowly peeling away revealing a concrete grey underneath. The big glowing sign was missing a few letters now simply reading Sav- -Lo. Despite its decaying state it still had the classic beer cave inside. I took a second to look for something from Wisconsin, call me a snob but we do beer right. I settled on a 12 pack of Leinenkugel, that was close enough to home for me. Bianca trailed behind me in the store, a bit like a scared cat looking for a place to hide. Obviously she didnât get out much and having people she didnât really know much about was stressing her out somewhat. We got to the checkout and an older cashier eyed my suspiciously.
âCan I see an IDâ
She croaked in a hoarse smokey voice. Now I donât always look my age but Iâm 28 there was no reason to try and ID me. That didnât really bother me so much as the fact that my wallet was still at home. Iâve been spending the cash Bianca gave me back when I watched her house and I just keep that in my pocket. I also have a bad habit of only brining my wallet when I knew I would need it instead of carrying it on me. Regardless I started to sweat a little as I tried to explain the situation.
âYou see I would but I left mine at home and Iâm not sure ifâŠâ
I was cut off by Bianca reaching out and brushing the cashierâs hand Then looking her straight in the eye. I knew exactly what she was doing.
âLook we donât have an ID for you right now can you just take it on faith?â
âI understand sweetie, here why donât I cover it for you, my treat.â
The cashier said, turning a complete 180 on her previous question. I looked from Bianca to the old woman a few times before Bianca finally shrugged.
âWhat?â
I wondered if it was that easy for her to change my mind back when she manipulated me into watching the house.
âSo she just payed for it?â
I asked Bianca as we walked back to the bikes.
âThat was her, not that I couldnât make her do that. As far as I can work out, if I suggest something people tend to do it. Over the years I learned how to control that to the point where Iâm only able to do it when I want to. Frank said it has something to do with pheromones in my breath or something like that.â
Bianca explained, hoping onto her bike and keeping pace with me back towards my house. I didnât ask for an explanation but she gave it. Iâm not really sure pheromones were something that could have that profound of an effect on someone but Iâd just add it to the list of questions Iâd have to ask Frank or Stein at some point.
âStill it was a bit weird seeing it from the outside. Was I that easy to convince before?â
Bianca got a mischievous look in her eye.
âOh, you were so much easier, I barley needed to try. Just flip my hair and flutter my eyes a few times and that was that.â
She said, smiling devilishly at me. I blushed a little bit, partly because thatâs probably all it wouldâve taken from someone who looked like her and partly because I was embarrassed that she might not just be poking fun at me.
âNo you definitely did something to me, I lost like 6 hours in your kitchen! That was you rightâŠright?!â
I asked a little nervous. Bianca just laughed and pedaled off ahead of me. She did not put my mind at ease with any sort of answer but she did beat me back to the house.
When I got in She was sitting on the couch sorting through a pile of movies she pulled out of her duffle bag. She really had just thrown the entire contents of her room into a bag and brought them over. Bianca seemed to settle on a movie before she realized Iâd walked in.
âSo you like horror?â
I said, gesturing to the same movies Iâd seen lying out earlier when I watched her house.
âYeah, I just like seeing how people think all these things act. Like Tuck, werewolves are always looked at as these big imposing things in movies but heâs a puppy in comparison.â
âThe guy looks like he could tear me apart down the middle with his bare hands buuuut, I see your point.â
Thinking back to every interaction Iâd had with the guy so far, he never really was as scary as he looked. I sat down on the couch, dropping the case of beer on the coffee table.
âSo, have you picked out a movie yet?â
To which Bianca closed her eyes and poked at a random movie in the pile. âDog Soldiersâ, it was called, actually I think Iâve heard of that movie before. One of those its so bad its entertaining things. I popped the movie into my DVD player and sat back, handing Bianca a beer.
â Is this how normal people feel?â
She asked as the movie started.
âDepends on what you mean by normal, even then Iâm not sure thatâs the question Iâd be asking. Maybe you just finally have a chance to relax after years of never being able to.â
âOh sure, Iâll just relax now that I know we have the actual thunderbird looking to force you into some kind of trial.â
Bianca joked sarcastically before suddenly softening and taking a sip of her beer.
âUggg thatâs bitter⊠but not bad. Maybe your onto something Kieth.â
I donât remember much from the movie. One scene stuck with me, a guy trying to fist fight a werewolf. It was already campy but the effects on the werewolf were just dated enough to make it that much funnier. Bianca and I couldnât help but to Imagine Tuck as the werewolf, bewildered as to why this scrawny thing thought it could fight him. At some point the beer ran out, Bianca and I making it through the whole case. I remember getting up to go to my own room and Bianca pulling me back. What I didnât remember though was letting Shaoni into my house. I was woken up by a tap on my shoulder, coming face to face with her. Shaoniâs hand was on one shoulder and Biancaâs head was on the other. At some point we both feel asleep on the couch together, the TV was still on, illuminating the dark room.
âWell well, I wasnât expecting you to have guests Keith.â
Shaoni mocked, clicking her tongue at me as she finished. She wore the same white night dress Iâd seen her in before. Something in the house was open, a window, a door? I didnât know but the smells of an autumn rainstorm blew into the house, a storm no doubt caused by Shaoni.
âI⊠its not what it looks like.â
I stammered out, embarrassed to be caught like this.
âI donât care what you get up to in your free time Keith. I just came to tell you Iâll expect you at the mine tomorrow, The trials will be starting soon and I want everyone who will be participating to meet each other, you will be participating, wonât you Keith?â
She asked like it was a question but it really wasnât, wether I liked it or not I was going to be there, I could come willingly or kicking and screaming. She was simply asking which I wanted it to be.
âWhen do you want me there?â
âOh donât worry about that, Iâll send someone to collect you around noon.â
With that she turned to walk away, but I wasnât done with her yet.
âWait! What exactly are these trials, what am I going to be doing out there?â
âThat would spoil the surprise Keith, be patient, youâll know in time. That pretty little thing there, her name wouldnât happen to be Bianca, would it?â
Shaoni asked, pointing at Bianca who was still asleep on my shoulder.
âHow did you know that?â
I shot back, immediately jumping to Biancaâs defense. I hadnât known her all that long true, but I didnât want her any closer to this than she had to be.
âOh no reason.â
Shaoni said with a snicker that sounded more like a hiss. With that she disappeared, and I mean she was just gone. One minute she was there the next there was a gust of wind and a brief flash of light and she was gone. The disruption was enough to wake Bianca up finally.
âUgh, head..stillâŠspinning.â
âHeh, I think you overdid it a bit last night.â
âUgh maybe.â
She said, holding her head that still rested on my shoulder.
âWhatâs going on anyway, whyâd you wake me up.â
âItâs just⊠well things are moving a bit faster than I hoped.â
I said, trying to reassure her that it was nothing, most likely failing miserably but she didnât seem to notice. There was a second there that I thought maybe things could just be normal. This whole thing would just blow over and Shaoni would never come back and get me for these âtrialsâ but I always knew it was wishful thinking. Now Bianca was a part of it to somehow, that had made up my mind. Sheâd been through enough, now Shaoni seemed interested in her all of a sudden. If putting myself through these trials kept her away from Bianca thatâs exactly what Iâd do.

2024.05.19 22:44 Few_Newt_1034 Complex grief after abusive relationship.
Warning: abuse
At 19F in the middle of active alcoholism 3 years after my mom went to jail for murder for hire, I was a SW (looking?) for a SD? - while out at a bar I got approached by a 43M that I found attractive and very charismatic. Thinking weâd end up having âfunâ, I returned the honest sentiment of attraction. We stayed together 2.5 years after that. He was a Chemist who laughed and made light of everything, his alcoholism and drug addiction became apparent from the beginning, but not to the extent that it got to/really was.
Like all relationships, things started out fun, a very Glee movie summer-like love, very free-ing. He was a Doctor of chemistry and worked in the oil field prior to my meeting him, because of his living situation and luxury cars he seemed like he was doing well. He never was any type of SD. The night I met him, we made eye contact and never looked away. Our chemistry, pun intended- was like nothing Iâve ever experienced.
Iâm the youngest, not the smartest nor prettiest. I quit my jobs because I simply didnât want to work sometimes, I made a lot of mistakes and Iâve been in the receiving end of family based bullying and school bullying, SA, R@pâŹ, abandonment and trust issues, Iâm bipolar, I practice/d SH, depression, GAD⊠things of the human condition that make it feel like Iâm faulty.
This man was the first person that ever sat with me and listened to me vent to the extent that I did the first tight we spent together. We rarely had sex, but we shared breaths as we slept, (he inhales my breath as I exhale his breath, vise-versa and so on and so forth) to keep it brief and give example. Heâs the most intimate partner Iâve ever experienced.
I notice others micro expressions and cater to their benefit if it seems they are troubled or asking for help.
Iâm having so much trouble these days accepting the fact that Iâm never going to meet him again. Specifically because he was so attentive and catering to my needs. He knew immediately when I was masking. Iâm so confused and perplexed about the feeling of not having anyone in my life that has that interest in me. I felt so understood. Thatâs been my first and last experience with feeling understood like that.
He drank from morning to night nonstop. Together we became aware of what alcoholism was. Brown urine, blood, pain⊠regret that then led to arguments, accidents, threats, drugs, danger, fear turned to bonding, helping each other, trying to get better, failing. Trying again. Do it all over again. Fail. Again and again.
We managed to get sober a few days. His parents loved me. I understood and loved him. He hadnât been sober for that long and trying for a long time. He was doing better, thatâs what his mom would say.
Every relapse got harder, more dangerous medically and physically as well as economically.
Sleep deprivation was torture I hadnât experienced before. I would be awoken with yelling because of delirium, anger and he would degrade me so badly. Use that bond we had against me, my own experiences turned against me heâd repeat the insults I shared with him to me. Yell those at me. Then love bomb. Then threaten me and my family with guns. I lived in fear when he blacked out. Felt lonely because with all of the yelling, smashing things around, being stared at by neighbors crying, being called an idiot dumbass in front of people and them witnessing me at a low point and then, agreeing with him? No neighbor knocked after crying and yelling to see if anyone was ok or dying. Public shame feels so. Fucking. Lonely. Isolation doesnât help.
He stopped functioning. His body started giving out. I loved him. Took care of him cleaned his wounds after falls, his body after incontinence. He literally shed blood, shit and tears, regret and asked for forgiveness when I cared for him in his sober state.
In return, Iâd receive non stop verbal abuse if I didnât stop and do what he wanted me to at the time he wanted me to and how he wanted me to. If I didnât give him my attention heâd end up getting it by threatening my family. And he would! Fight my brother and go after him with loaded guns. So there I would go do what he said. Forced to ride in a vehicle, with him locking the doors, blasting Phil Collins yelling at me. Driving erratically, dangerously. And Iâd be so fucking scared of crashing. Just imagining the police report, âf19 dead alongside 43m after drunk reckless drivingâ. Heâd speed in traffic so I couldnât really jump out the car. Iâd end up just drinking to numb the fear.
I had enough and attempted to sleepies forever by taking a sweet deadly cocktail of whatever handful of pills I could get my hands on. We had plastic gallon moving boxes filled with narcotics- he was a pharmacist too. I told him I was going to KMS he said go ahead, so I attempted and I filmed it.
From the setting up the phone in that closet, the one I color coordinated for him, his button-ups and suits in those dry-cleaning bags that hadnât been opened since leaving the laundry shop⊠I watched my su!c!d⏠afterwards. Out of morbid curiosity. âWhat a dumbass!â was what he said when he found me. I wonât go into detail of the full video but chest compressions hurt a lot, 10/10 would not recommend. And EMS left the AED stickers on my chest đ€·đœââïž
After that 24hr watch, an awkward taxi drive to a crisis clinic that was understaffed and left me in a room by myself for two hours and walking in public with those see-through paper hospital clothes. Embarrassment is a light expression. When I was taken home, I didnât have keys, or phone, or anything. Just my discharge papers and my cut vomit stained pajamas in a biohazard bag. - I lived in a gated neighborhood with key-fob-entry-only. I was fucked and waited what seemed like 4 hours for anyone to help me but no one showed up until HE did WITH MY BROTHER. The one who was threatened with a gun, that brother.
JFC the amount of insults, âwhat a fucking dumbass, what were you thinking? Youâre a fucking idiot!â To summarize in the friendliest way. I was dressed in a see through hospital gown, I went straight to the shower, didnât have the energy to get dressed when they kept just YELLING at me. INSULTING me- I had enough and wanted to defend myself. Thatâs when my brother pulled out his phone and started filming me pleading with them to let me sleep, calling me crazy, threatening to âshow the family how fucking crazy you are!â - I threw my phone. Broke the microwave door. More insults, while still filming me, I was ordered to, âclean it upâ - and at that moment. Completely detached, I did.
I put my brother on the soon-est bus to Mexico and sent him to rehab after 2 hell filled weeks of him living with us because he was so fucked in alcoholism he was homeless. To this day I donât know how I did that.
I managed to leave my ex. 2 weeks later I receive calls from worried friends. Ryan was missing.
After investigating, (calls to police, hospitals, checking out the âusualâ spots) - turns out he went to a Circle K looking for Peroni after the liquor store wouldnât sell to him, tripped on the steps, hit his head on the pavement, STILL MANAGED TO PURCHASE ALCOHOL, left, got into a fight, and somehow miraculously ended up in his apartment where he tried to shower, fell face forward towards the water tap, (which left a softball sized bruise on his right eye and fractured his nose) he then tried to walk towards the kitchen? Passed out in the living room leaving blood all over the walls, puddles on the ground and the biggest blood clot stain on the floor ( we had to get crime scene cleaners). He apparently had a fit where he trashed the apartment by throwing my things, my plants, bottles of crown⊠anything. Everything was trashed when I found him in the apartment. I counted at LEAST 20 bottles of crown. He was so fucked up we thought he had been assaulted.
COVID hit and hospitals were in full lockdown. As an âessential workerâ I could travel to the hospital to see him, and because someone somewhere said I was his wife/fiancĂ©e I was the ONLY one allowed to see him.
I snuck behind friends and familyâs backs checking in on him at the hospital. Singing The Carpenters songs, wearing his favorite perfumes, reading Billâs Story (IYKYK), playing Phil Collins. The whole 9 yards.
The last time I saw him, he was in Physical therapy/Rehab. He ended up moving back to his parents in California. Then February the next year, on Valentineâs Day - his mom let me know he passed.
She grieved very much attached to me. It was one of the saddest things I ever had to help someone through - alongside helping her son go through alcoholism.
I became a CNA as a tribute to helping him during those hard sober times where his body gave out. Helping others like that, bathing them, diaper changing, g-tube cleaning, hygiene essentialsâŠ
The classic grief started with what-ifâs. Etc. itâs been hard lately because all my family is against him and his family resents me for being the only one with access to his medical records during COVID. Iâm in a relationship now and our therapist told me to âput a break on itâ. Recently. My mental illnesses keep getting worse and I feel like no other has taken such interest in me as much as Ryan did. He was so observant. So in-sync with me. And he was so shitty to me. Heâs like the sweetest tasting radioactive flower that once was and will never be. And Iâm grieving. And itâs so lonely out here.
I donât know. Iâm not suicid@l, Iâm medicated and 4 years sober. Itâs been hard and itâs getting harder to understand. I feel neglected and lonely. Anything helps please.

2024.05.19 22:42 tasteofeden45 Chanel God, 187, Rome Factories etc...
| For those that have ordered Chanel from one of the factories do the pictures show a sku number (see picture)? Do you know if the leather is imported? What color are the dust bags? I order from suppliers who do not know of the made up factory names. They only go by quality. Top quality being the best. I have been very happy with my purchases. I am just trying to put the puzzle pieces together to see maybe if they are sourcing from one of these factories? Thanks! submitted by tasteofeden45 to RepladiesDesigner [link] [comments] |
2024.05.19 22:37 kiddothedog2016 Driving to texas for a 2 month training program june + July
Iâll have my car with me so I donât have to pack super light, but I donât want to go crazy either. Iâll be staying by myself and doing 2 different house sitting gigs while Iâm there (roughly one month at each place).
I have my clothing and toiletries lists all squared away so I donât need help with that. Iâm generally a light packer so this will be one or two small duffel bags + my backpack.
Iâm just kind of stuck trying to figure out what to bring with me as far as like daily life/comfort stuff. Iâll be away from my partner and my dog and donât know anyone in the city Iâll be staying in.
I love to cook/have done so professionally for many years and have a medically necessary somewhat restrictive diet so being able to cook comfortably in strangers kitchens is a necessity for me + Iâm maxing out my savings to do this certification course so Iâm trying to spend as little money as possible while Iâm in texas.
My definites right now are: Two bath towels + hand towel Sheets and blanket + two pillows Lunch box Blender (itâs a good one and I use it daily) One good kitchen knife.
Stuff Iâm not 100% sure about:
Cast iron skillet (i also use this daily but could maybe live without it?) One of my own pots. Spices. Tupperwares. One wooden spoon. Aromatherapy diffuser.
Is there anything on here that feels totally egregious, or anything obvious that Iâve forgotten?
Genuinely hoping this doesnât come off too insane đ«Ł
